- 2:04Speaker 1: I show will, Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice,
- 2:08Speaker 1: come on dig me now. One and only Steve Harvey
- 2:12Speaker 1: got the radio show. I feel it's necessary to explain
- 2:15Speaker 1: what I say in the morning because somebody asked me,
- 2:18Speaker 1: what do you mean by that when you say that
- 2:20Speaker 1: in the morning. When I say huh, it's in response
- 2:25Speaker 1: to David Hollister opening the song by saying, go ahead,
- 2:28Speaker 1: big Daddy, go ahead, I said, uh huh. I show will.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Then I say good morning everybody. Because I was raised
- 2:36Speaker 1: at Ray, You're supposed to speak when you come in
- 2:38Speaker 1: the room. I'm coming in y'all's room, whether it's your
- 2:41Speaker 1: bad room, the room in your house, your car, your office,
- 2:46Speaker 1: you know, wherever you had I come in the room
- 2:48Speaker 1: or God speaks, I say good morning, everybody. You are
- 2:51Speaker 1: listening to the voice. And then I got to introduce
- 2:54Speaker 1: myself because as a performer, I always felt my best
- 2:59Speaker 1: when I was introduced. It's knowing. Why would you walk
- 3:01Speaker 1: out on stage anybody introduce you. You know you can't
- 3:04Speaker 1: get the round of applause. It's just it's horrible. So
- 3:07Speaker 1: I say, you are listening to the voice wanting only
- 3:10Speaker 1: Steve Harvey. Come on, dig me now. Now that's old school.
- 3:15Speaker 1: I got that, but that's I was once again, dig
- 3:18Speaker 1: me Now, is I want you to feel what I'm
- 3:21Speaker 1: about to say. That's all I'm saying. That's not a
- 3:25Speaker 1: bragging thing. You know, you are listening to the voice
- 3:28Speaker 1: wanting only Steve Harvey. Come on, dig me now. I'm
- 3:32Speaker 1: just asking you to feel what I'm saying in the morning,
- 3:34Speaker 1: because it's part of a promise that I made to God.
- 3:38Speaker 1: See a long time ago, I told God if he
- 3:40Speaker 1: allowed me to make it, that when I got there,
- 3:44Speaker 1: I would tell everybody I know how I did it,
- 3:47Speaker 1: and I wasn't gonna shortcut it or shade him on it.
- 3:50Speaker 1: I say, if you allow me to make it, if
- 3:53Speaker 1: you give me the strength, the courage, the wisdom you
- 3:57Speaker 1: gave me a gift if you let me apply it,
- 4:00Speaker 1: don't destroy myself in the process. Forgive me for my
- 4:04Speaker 1: sins along the way, continue to hold and rock me
- 4:07Speaker 1: when I need it. When I make it, I promise
- 4:11Speaker 1: you Lord, when I get there, I will tell everybody
- 4:15Speaker 1: how I made it. Well. This started back in LA
- 4:20Speaker 1: when I got on the radio and I was making
- 4:24Speaker 1: it okay. I was doing okay, but I had to
- 4:28Speaker 1: keep my promise to God. My promise was, if you
- 4:31Speaker 1: allow me to make it, I'll tell everybody how I
- 4:34Speaker 1: got there. I have to tell you that every day
- 4:39Speaker 1: because if it was not for that grace and mercy,
- 4:42Speaker 1: I wouldn't even be here able to fulfill my promise,
- 4:46Speaker 1: because I've done enough dirt in my life. Man to
- 4:49Speaker 1: not be worthy. He could have easily walked away from
- 4:53Speaker 1: me a long time ago because I had show walked
- 4:56Speaker 1: away from him. See, and I didn't walk away from
- 5:00Speaker 1: him once. I walked away from him a bunch of times.
- 5:03Speaker 1: But guess what he forgave me a bunch of times.
- 5:08Speaker 1: I'm a living example of hundreds of chances. His forgiveness
- 5:15Speaker 1: and his mercy is available for everybody. It's the only
- 5:19Speaker 1: reason I get on this show every day. The only
- 5:22Speaker 1: reason I have the blessings that's coming my way. It's
- 5:24Speaker 1: the only way that the things that keep happening in
- 5:27Speaker 1: my life, Man, that I have no explanation for, it
- 5:32Speaker 1: is because of His grace and mercy. See, anytime something
- 5:36Speaker 1: good happens in my life and I can't explain it,
- 5:39Speaker 1: that's usually him, he exhibits to me. Remember, I'm a
- 5:44Speaker 1: forgiving god, man. Remember, So when you fall, Steve, don't
- 5:48Speaker 1: lay down now, don't you lay down there. Don't you
- 5:51Speaker 1: let the devil fool you that because you'd have made
- 5:54Speaker 1: some mistakes that you ain't that you can't do it
- 5:57Speaker 1: because everybody gonna make them. There's nothing unperfect, no, not one.
- 6:01Speaker 1: So get up, keep moving, keep pushing, step on what
- 6:06Speaker 1: you're laying there for. Your daddy didn't raise you that way. Look, man,
- 6:11Speaker 1: my father was just about manhood. I'm gonna just tell you.
- 6:14Speaker 1: My daddy never had a conversation with me about church.
- 6:17Speaker 1: He beat me for not going, but you know a
- 6:20Speaker 1: couple of times, but he wasn't about that wasn't his message.
- 6:24Speaker 1: That was my mama's job. My mama taught me about
- 6:26Speaker 1: being saved, about loving the Lord, about giving your life
- 6:30Speaker 1: about the teachings of Jesus Christ. My mama was a
- 6:33Speaker 1: Sunday school teacher, so I got all of that from her.
- 6:36Speaker 1: My old man ain't had none of that for me.
- 6:38Speaker 1: My old man talked to me about one thing all
- 6:41Speaker 1: day long, hard working manhood. And when you're gonna get
- 6:44Speaker 1: that if you don't get an nothing else from me,
- 6:46Speaker 1: he gave that to me, so I got it. See, so,
- 6:49Speaker 1: my father, you say, excuse my language, but you ain't
- 6:52Speaker 1: gonna sit there like no little punk up in here.
- 6:53Speaker 1: You ain't an what you're finn to do. You fin
- 6:56Speaker 1: to get up and go do what you're posted to do. Now,
- 6:58Speaker 1: stop all that wine and like some punking gonna get
- 7:00Speaker 1: the movie. That's how my father talked to me. Now,
- 7:02Speaker 1: I'm just telling you real. It worked for me though,
- 7:05Speaker 1: And before you start emailing me, they had nothing to
- 7:08Speaker 1: do with homosexuality at all. It's just that was his
- 7:12Speaker 1: turn for a man, not acting like a man. That's
- 7:15Speaker 1: all it was. It had. It was not a gay
- 7:17Speaker 1: reference at all. I want you to understand that before
- 7:19Speaker 1: you start emailing me. So my daddy wasn't calling that
- 7:22Speaker 1: wasn't not a sexual reference for him. My father talked
- 7:25Speaker 1: to us. That's what he meant. I knew exactly what
- 7:27Speaker 1: he meant. He couldn't admit. No, hedn't even know nothing
- 7:29Speaker 1: about that. My man clueless when it comes to that
- 7:31Speaker 1: right there. So when I was getting down and feeling
- 7:36Speaker 1: bad about myself, my old man, he taught me this toughness. Man,
- 7:39Speaker 1: he gave me this grit, this doggedness, this go to
- 7:43Speaker 1: work and work hard. That's why today, when God does
- 7:46Speaker 1: bless me with something, he ain't got to weary about
- 7:49Speaker 1: me not working hard because that's in me. And when
- 7:53Speaker 1: I get tired, I asked that same God for strength
- 7:57Speaker 1: to keep on doing so I can do the lessons
- 8:00Speaker 1: he got for me. So when you ask me how
- 8:03Speaker 1: you gonna do all this, Steve Harvey, I don't know.
- 8:06Speaker 1: I ain't got to figure that out. All I got
- 8:09Speaker 1: to do is show up with the same amount of
- 8:11Speaker 1: faith for being showing up with God handle the rest
- 8:13Speaker 1: of it. See y'all, Hey, Matt, tell youself, I don't
- 8:17Speaker 1: see how you do it. I don't either, can I
- 8:20Speaker 1: can I get? Hey man, news flash, let me hear.
- 8:22Speaker 1: I don't see how you doing all that, Steve. You're
- 8:24Speaker 1: doing this, you doing that, You can I tell you something?
- 8:27Speaker 1: I don't either. I just wake up with the faith
- 8:29Speaker 1: man and trusting that if He gonna bless me with it,
- 8:33Speaker 1: he must be gonna show me a way how to
- 8:34Speaker 1: get it done. See I ain't tripping on that part.
- 8:37Speaker 1: See I. Once you take yourself out to how to business,
- 8:41Speaker 1: you can go on and get with it. But see,
- 8:44Speaker 1: if you're gonna trip yourself out with the how to,
- 8:46Speaker 1: you can't think like God can think. You can't figure
- 8:48Speaker 1: like God can figure. So now you're sitting up in
- 8:51Speaker 1: here gonna Lord, I want this to have him for me?
- 8:53Speaker 1: Then I don't know how I'm will do all that. Well,
- 8:56Speaker 1: guess what? You in the way? Now? See you? Now
- 8:59Speaker 1: you in the way, because see God ain't ask you
- 9:02Speaker 1: to figure out how to? He said, ask and believe.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Then he said faith without works is dead. That's my solution.
- 9:11Speaker 1: That's the concoction that I'm functioning on. All I got
- 9:15Speaker 1: to do is accept the blessing, keep the faith, be
- 9:19Speaker 1: willing to work and believe God can do anything but fail.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Why would God bring me this far to leave me?
- 9:29Speaker 1: Why would he bring you this far to leave you? So?
- 9:34Speaker 1: Why I get up every morning? I have no choice?
- 9:39Speaker 1: I got to get up in here the rap. When
- 9:40Speaker 1: I'm running late, Man, I try to ply through here.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Sometimes I don't make it. Man, I gotta do a rerun.
- 9:45Speaker 1: But I ply through here because man, Steve, you're gonna
- 9:48Speaker 1: run out of something to say. No, I'm gonna just
- 9:49Speaker 1: keep thanking him. Now. You can't run out of that
- 9:51Speaker 1: canyon because you owe him that. Matter of fact, when
- 9:54Speaker 1: I get through talking, I really ain't thanked him enough.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're shout, ladies and gentlemen, it is about to begin.
- 10:05Speaker 1: To Steve Harvey Morning Show. I have selected a song
- 10:09Speaker 1: for you this morning that I have just decided to
- 10:14Speaker 1: just oh oh, blurted out, I don't love you anymore.
- 10:24Speaker 1: It's just that simple. Explain it to the young people listening.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Oh man, they don't get it. You know, it's just
- 10:36Speaker 1: old songs. Man. Will you just blurt out to beginning
- 10:41Speaker 1: and then everybody know what it is? M Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 10:52Speaker 1: I'm gone, gone, yeah yeah. My daughter loves you. Child,
- 11:05Speaker 1: fly you on, same child, fio woo so on search
- 11:19Speaker 1: hold fie. You don't make him like this anyway. The
- 11:24Speaker 1: way you walk and talk. It really searchs me up
- 11:29Speaker 1: to a fire alarm. Child. Yes, it does. The way
- 11:34Speaker 1: you squeeze and tea knocks me to my knees, come
- 11:39Speaker 1: out smoking, baby, the way you swear and curve it
- 11:47Speaker 1: reacts my nerves and I'm so excited. Child who lets
- 11:58Speaker 1: me know? Ha? Yeah, let us have it. Se I
- 12:11Speaker 1: just feel like some old ass, hard ass singing. That's
- 12:15Speaker 1: that lounge singer that never made it because he wasn't
- 12:19Speaker 1: quite on the notes. But you couldn't tell him that. Yeah,
- 12:24Speaker 1: but he had all the Hollywood singer moves. Man, I
- 12:27Speaker 1: would have had Roscoe Wallace making the pigs, Colin Farrell,
- 12:32Speaker 1: your favorite rock Roscoe Waller, Yeah, what's up? Hard singing?
- 12:36Speaker 1: Hate Steve, what's up Crew? Ain't nothing with it, Junior.
- 12:39Speaker 1: I'll just be seeing you in concert doing that whole
- 12:42Speaker 1: thing though. That's what I'd be working at. I was
- 12:45Speaker 1: bad dog. I saw Teddy laugh, I saw how Player live.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Y'all missed concerts. That was real concerts. And the dudes
- 12:56Speaker 1: actually sound just like the record like Luther what no
- 13:03Speaker 1: day of remixes, remix your remix hits, scarned Tip just
- 13:13Speaker 1: random scared time, like when he just blurts him out
- 13:17Speaker 1: of nowhere. You're all bad, bad missus. Yeah, and them
- 13:22Speaker 1: skinned type. Hang on, sugarfoot coming up at thirty two minutes,
- 13:27Speaker 1: is gonna say good morning and say nobody's say good morning.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Skinned type guy came over. All right, we'll have more
- 13:38Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up right after this.
- 13:42Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Here
- 13:46Speaker 1: we go with something funny. This is a story about
- 13:48Speaker 1: marriage though um signs a marriage is doomed. According this
- 13:53Speaker 1: is according now Jay to wedding photographers. Okay, there's no
- 13:58Speaker 1: doubt wedding photographers have seen it, all right, we all
- 14:01Speaker 1: hire wedding photographers. Was not the police. Yeah, you can't
- 14:09Speaker 1: call the police. Sirens and stuff, all right. Anyway, wedding
- 14:15Speaker 1: photographers have seen it all and since they spend a
- 14:18Speaker 1: lot of time getting to know a couple before a
- 14:20Speaker 1: big day, many can see the signs of a doomed
- 14:23Speaker 1: relationship even before the IDEs, even before they're even said. Okay.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Wedding photographers have shared the red flags that tell them
- 14:31Speaker 1: a couple maybe headed for divorce. Red flags include here
- 14:34Speaker 1: we go, a partner who's completely uninterested in taking the
- 14:39Speaker 1: pictures in the first place, could be already married. A
- 14:46Speaker 1: couple who doesn't spend any time together at a reception.
- 14:51Speaker 1: All right, that's another sigh. That's another red flash. Her family,
- 14:56Speaker 1: he's with his family. You know how it goes. Yeah,
- 15:01Speaker 1: here's another one. And couples who aren't on the same
- 15:03Speaker 1: page over money, that's definitely a red flag any relations
- 15:08Speaker 1: first first, man, all right, here's another issue. If a
- 15:12Speaker 1: couple has between a twenty and twenty five percent rejection
- 15:16Speaker 1: rate plus in fighting amongst the wedding party. Wow, yeah,
- 15:23Speaker 1: and other people said that he's not good for you
- 15:25Speaker 1: and she's not good for you. Of your friends said
- 15:28Speaker 1: you shouldn't be up with that. Yeah. And a couple
- 15:31Speaker 1: couple who makes, you know, like little tiny, little bity
- 15:34Speaker 1: subtle digs at each other throughout the webb, not that
- 15:37Speaker 1: when we had stuff like that. You're an expert at
- 15:45Speaker 1: a fixed photo. You don't get that. I don't think
- 15:49Speaker 1: you're gonna be get in that draft to be which
- 15:53Speaker 1: what think you? Daddy will be told you this? Oh no,
- 16:00Speaker 1: so and seems here of course we want you to
- 16:04Speaker 1: chime man, it's your time and when you get through, yeah, okay,
- 16:07Speaker 1: well I'm just about through. But I do have a
- 16:09Speaker 1: question to ask you. Did you guys have any doubts
- 16:11Speaker 1: and did you see any red flags? Yeah, before you
- 16:13Speaker 1: got married? The best sign ever ever. And I didn't listen.
- 16:18Speaker 1: My daughter said to me. She said to me, Daddy,
- 16:22Speaker 1: you ain't got to go through with us. We can
- 16:24Speaker 1: just have a party and leave. I have the reception,
- 16:32Speaker 1: but not another friend of match, Stephanie said, this was
- 16:36Speaker 1: my undred times match d been married. Which war yeah, Stephanie,
- 16:45Speaker 1: but yeah about third Stephanie says it Stephanie, you coming
- 16:48Speaker 1: to my which Stephanie said, and I repeat, now, dog,
- 16:51Speaker 1: I catch the next one like it's a movie a flight. Yea,
- 17:00Speaker 1: I'll next. No, No, I have a short list of
- 17:08Speaker 1: things that I have discovered that can happen during the
- 17:12Speaker 1: wedding day or reading up to that. We'll let you
- 17:17Speaker 1: know the same thing. The work come on from the
- 17:19Speaker 1: wedding photographer perspective. Okay, if at no point do they
- 17:26Speaker 1: want to whole hands for pictures, here's another sign at
- 17:36Speaker 1: the wedding if it ain't but one person on top
- 17:39Speaker 1: of the cake, the kind of make a cake like that? Yeah,
- 17:46Speaker 1: just a bride or just the groove one. I'm saying,
- 17:51Speaker 1: don't you don't even gotta put me up on And
- 17:55Speaker 1: here's the biggest way you could tell this. This this
- 17:58Speaker 1: weird ain't gonna last. If at the reception, ain't no
- 18:01Speaker 1: gifts on the table. That's what people are just saying.
- 18:06Speaker 1: I'm not finding pot, waste my money. This ain't somebody says,
- 18:13Speaker 1: so what is that again? Really getting married? I'm gonna
- 18:22Speaker 1: try to be there. I guess my favorite one was
- 18:27Speaker 1: if you're taking digs like that? Yeah, but God doesn't
- 18:35Speaker 1: your sign all the time? Thank you, thank you, my
- 18:40Speaker 1: take of breath mint before we walked down. I don't
- 18:47Speaker 1: even like each other with them a little through the groom.
- 18:52Speaker 1: She coming down now? Then you up there, and this
- 18:57Speaker 1: is what you turn around your best man to say
- 18:59Speaker 1: he has Yeah. I don't know if y'all know this
- 19:12Speaker 1: about music, but this is the absolute truth. Taps and
- 19:16Speaker 1: the wedding song. Taps and the wedding song are in
- 19:20Speaker 1: the same key. I rest my kids so horrible, but
- 19:31Speaker 1: Jay is the expert wedding song. Same. Okay, you meet
- 19:41Speaker 1: a lovely, beautiful woman, you meet her a beautiful woman, huh,
- 19:46Speaker 1: you like her a whole lot. Yes, the relationship is growing.
- 19:50Speaker 1: It's about that time you know that the next step
- 19:54Speaker 1: is marriage. What do you do? Didn't Steve tell you
- 19:58Speaker 1: to stop doing this several times day it's life and
- 20:06Speaker 1: every like every month, you do it again. Damn thing,
- 20:10Speaker 1: he said. I didn't try something new, Seave you got
- 20:17Speaker 1: that for sure? For sure he ain't heard. He's so
- 20:21Speaker 1: unmoved by this new He's heard it all right, because
- 20:25Speaker 1: he felt that way about it all. Yeah. Day is
- 20:28Speaker 1: a good doing the relationship, but it get bad after
- 20:30Speaker 1: the wind is a good doing the relationship. Coming up
- 20:36Speaker 1: right after this untapped with the brank phone call, we'll
- 20:40Speaker 1: be back. You're listening show coming up at the top
- 20:45Speaker 1: of the hour. Miss Anne will be here with today's
- 20:47Speaker 1: national news and headlines. But right now it's time for
- 20:51Speaker 1: the nephew to run that prank back. Can I claim
- 20:55Speaker 1: your keys and I claim your Let's go? Yeah, Hello, Hello,
- 21:06Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach uh Devin, Devin, Yeah, Hey, Devin,
- 21:12Speaker 1: how you doing? Man? My name is Curtis Man, Curtis.
- 21:16Speaker 1: I was trying to reach out to you. You um
- 21:18Speaker 1: your your your son? Uh? He plays basketball with my nephew,
- 21:23Speaker 1: manum your son. He is the one that's on the
- 21:26Speaker 1: on the Blazers little league basketball team. Right, yeah, yeah,
- 21:30Speaker 1: everything all right, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, everything
- 21:34Speaker 1: good man. You know they got a game Saturday and everything.
- 21:36Speaker 1: I've seen you a couple of times man at the game.
- 21:38Speaker 1: I don't know if you remember me. Man, uh, light
- 21:40Speaker 1: skinned brother about about six foot. Yeah, I probably met
- 21:45Speaker 1: your pay. You know, i'd be so intense with the game.
- 21:47Speaker 1: But yeah, what's what's going on? Um? Uh well, actually, man,
- 21:51Speaker 1: wanted to hole at you about about your son. Man,
- 21:54Speaker 1: Um you you? Um are you? Are you? Are you
- 21:59Speaker 1: working right now? Are you currently working? Am I am
- 22:03Speaker 1: I working? Like? Yeah? I am working? Actually, I mean
- 22:06Speaker 1: I mean, I mean, I mean you have a yea,
- 22:07Speaker 1: a steady job is what I'm asking. I mean, yeah, yeah,
- 22:11Speaker 1: what you what you're getting that though? Like you know,
- 22:14Speaker 1: I thought you were calling about the basketball team, like uniforms.
- 22:18Speaker 1: I know, we got a game Saturday. You know sometime
- 22:20Speaker 1: they want donation for sneakers and all that, like you know, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 22:25Speaker 1: what I was asking? So so, I mean you you
- 22:27Speaker 1: got a regular nine to five job you go to
- 22:29Speaker 1: all the time. Yeah, I gotta nine to five. I mean,
- 22:34Speaker 1: things is kind of crazy, but I was just kind
- 22:36Speaker 1: of short. But you know, I still I still work
- 22:39Speaker 1: I mean while I was going on, you need a
- 22:40Speaker 1: job of talking. No, no, no, I'm just checking. Man.
- 22:44Speaker 1: See what I wanted to get at you about, Man,
- 22:46Speaker 1: is seeing are you gonna are you gonna clean your
- 22:50Speaker 1: son on your income tax? Did you hold on? Bro?

- 23:51Speaker 1: me by twenty two, twenty three hundred. You see what
- 23:53Speaker 1: I'm saying and what I wanted to get at you about, man,

- 25:40Speaker 1: got it. Yeah, you ain't got a trip. Man, Then
- 25:42Speaker 1: if you was my bro, you're my people. You know,
- 25:45Speaker 1: maybe we could do a little something. I can understand that,
- 25:47Speaker 1: But Bro, you ain't gonna get me no two fifty
- 25:49Speaker 1: when I'm getting the same thing they offering you point

- 26:10Speaker 1: forty to fifteen hours a week. I had to go
- 26:12Speaker 1: pick me up the little side of handstand. You gotta
- 26:15Speaker 1: change your ways. You out here trying to get me
- 26:17Speaker 1: locked up for government scams. But what I'm trying to do, man,
- 26:21Speaker 1: is get this eight hundred off my bad dog. That's

- 29:42Speaker 1: it's time for let thank you Ja. Let me just
- 29:47Speaker 1: tell y'all something here. I'm doing something different this week
- 29:50Speaker 1: because I'm growing as an artist. And so I saw
- 29:54Speaker 1: something bad. I saw something definitely traumatic go on, and
- 30:00Speaker 1: it changed my thought process. I saw some coffee wasted Starbucks,
- 30:03Speaker 1: and it decided pushed me actually into writing limericks. Yeah,
- 30:07Speaker 1: and for those out that they don't know what limerick is,
- 30:09Speaker 1: a limerick is just a short story about an individuals.
- 30:12Speaker 1: It's real quick. So I changed over limericks and I
- 30:23Speaker 1: just found like the growth. Thank you, thank you, Ja,
- 30:26Speaker 1: And so I just wrote some limrics about chair to you, Jay,
- 30:29Speaker 1: Tommy and Carla. Yeah, I just I know y'all know. Yeah,
- 30:35Speaker 1: let me start with Tommy it's a limerick about Tommy.
- 30:39Speaker 1: There once was a man name Tommy who walked around
- 30:43Speaker 1: and nice self put jammis. He was quick to get
- 30:47Speaker 1: mad and then turned back. Lad. Oh Tommy is like
- 30:50Speaker 1: a suona. Okay, truth this one. And I like to
- 31:04Speaker 1: do one about my good friend Jay Anthony Brown. Grown
- 31:08Speaker 1: to know Jay, working with Jay on a daily basis,
- 31:10Speaker 1: I've grown the norm and this is what I found out. Okay.
- 31:15Speaker 1: There once was a man named Jake who had diabetes
- 31:20Speaker 1: that would not go away. He could not sweets, but
- 31:25Speaker 1: he might lose his seats. But Stevey at this one
- 31:42Speaker 1: by Carla, I do this one. I looked at my face.
- 31:49Speaker 1: There was was a lady named Carla on the Steve Show.
- 31:52Speaker 1: She is the baller. She keeps it so straight and
- 31:56Speaker 1: well up to date. But Carlor sometimes like the holl on.
- 32:06Speaker 1: I know everybody's been waiting on this, when this is
- 32:08Speaker 1: what I've been waiting to. Come on. Shirley, Oh, Shirley,
- 32:13Speaker 1: and I love you, says, I really do you. Proby
- 32:16Speaker 1: will pick the cross. But there once was a lady
- 32:20Speaker 1: named Shirley. She is real boogie and Gurley. She keeps
- 32:25Speaker 1: Steve real straight and she loves her mate, but Shirley,
- 32:29Speaker 1: don't come into early. Those are ligainse. There's once was
- 32:45Speaker 1: a man named Timmy who walked around and silk pajamni.
- 32:50Speaker 1: He was quick to get mad and then turned back glad,
- 32:53Speaker 1: oh Timmy, like we don't know what we've been all right, Steve,
- 33:06Speaker 1: let's get to the news, ladies and gentlemen. Miss Anne Tripp, okay,
- 33:10Speaker 1: thank you very much. In Minneapolis yesterday, George Floyd's longtime girlfriend,
- 33:14Speaker 1: Courtney Ross told the court how she met him. She
- 33:17Speaker 1: says she was homeless and at her wits end in
- 33:19Speaker 1: a shelter where Floyd was a security guard, and she
- 33:21Speaker 1: says he was tender and nice. We've been through so
- 33:25Speaker 1: much my son's and if this kind person just to
- 33:29Speaker 1: come up to me and say, can I pray with you?
- 33:32Speaker 1: She was also asked about drug use, since the defense
- 33:34Speaker 1: already says that it's going to claim Floyd died because
- 33:36Speaker 1: of an overdose and not from strangulation. Miss Ross told
- 33:39Speaker 1: the prosecutor, yeah, they both had issues with pain, George
- 33:42Speaker 1: Floyd had old football injuries, and that they both were
- 33:45Speaker 1: prescribe opiates which they became addicted to. However, she said
- 33:48Speaker 1: they both have been trying to kick the habit, trying
- 33:50Speaker 1: very very hard. Also on the stand yesterday, Derek Chauvin's supervisor,
- 33:54Speaker 1: Sergeant David Proger, who was asked about the length of
- 33:57Speaker 1: time that Derek Chauvin kept his knee on Floyd's next
- 34:00Speaker 1: since when the medic arrived. He said he tested mister
- 34:03Speaker 1: Floyd and found that he was already dead, yet Chauvin
- 34:06Speaker 1: wouldn't move off at a man. Based on your review
- 34:09Speaker 1: of the body worn camera footage, do you have an
- 34:13Speaker 1: opinion as to when the restraint of mister Floyd should
- 34:17Speaker 1: have ended in this encounter? Yes? What is it? When
- 34:20Speaker 1: mister Floyd was no longer offering up any resistance for
- 34:24Speaker 1: the officers, they could have ended their restraint, And he
- 34:27Speaker 1: said that that was after just five minutes, not nine.
- 34:30Speaker 1: Testimony continues today. Well, it's like the old song, what
- 34:34Speaker 1: a difference in day makes. The head of Atlanta based
- 34:36Speaker 1: Delta Airlines now forcefully condemning George's new voting rights law,
- 34:40Speaker 1: the one which civil rights activist say is aimed at
- 34:42Speaker 1: making it harder for black people to vote. A few
- 34:44Speaker 1: days ago, Delta CEO said he was supportive of part
- 34:47Speaker 1: of it, but after that they were calls all over
- 34:49Speaker 1: the internet to boycott Delta Airlines. Yesterday, CEO Ed Bastion
- 34:53Speaker 1: told CBS to folks have it all wrong. Some of
- 34:55Speaker 1: the comments that were made were taken out of context.
- 34:58Speaker 1: We were not supporting the bill. We were supporting the
- 35:01Speaker 1: fact that we were exiting toxic provisions of proposed legislation.
- 35:06Speaker 1: But when you put it all together, it did not
- 35:08Speaker 1: match with what we said at the start we were
- 35:10Speaker 1: looking to do. I didn't say what they were looking
- 35:13Speaker 1: to do exactly. And finally, at the movies, Godzilla versus
- 35:17Speaker 1: Kong brought in nine and a half million dollars in
- 35:19Speaker 1: its opening day Wednesday, an amount that would it would
- 35:22Speaker 1: have made it a flop before the world was introduced
- 35:24Speaker 1: to a monster named Covid, But these days it's the
- 35:26Speaker 1: biggest opening day since to start of the pandemic, and
- 35:28Speaker 1: that's even though people could see it for free on
- 35:31Speaker 1: HBO Max. Meanwhile, The Coming to America's sequel did really
- 35:34Speaker 1: well for Amazon Prime Video. In fact, it was the
- 35:36Speaker 1: most stream title in the country the week it came out,
- 35:39Speaker 1: and it was the first time Amazon Prime Video I
- 35:41Speaker 1: ever took the top slot. We're Coming to America now
- 35:45Speaker 1: back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening show,
- 35:50Speaker 1: all right, Steve, he's here. Please introduce Jay Anthony Brown
- 35:53Speaker 1: to bro Come on, Jay and keeping with the vein
- 35:58Speaker 1: of east. Why not like Easter song? That's gonna say
- 36:01Speaker 1: it all because it's the day we go crazy with

- 36:24Speaker 1: a Sunday. I can't believe those fruitful suits. I see
- 36:31Speaker 1: that colors out y'all yellow ride and fat, can't green guy,
- 36:37Speaker 1: old and gray? One jacket the way to a long

- 37:08Speaker 1: must be blinding, atch man. I didn't know. See low
- 37:13Speaker 1: head of soul when you listen? Sending those pictures told

- 37:50Speaker 1: you know the anymre laid it out the night before,
- 37:56Speaker 1: a killer just gonna hurt him on it. I remember
- 38:01Speaker 1: one year, man, I got me a white suit. My
- 38:04Speaker 1: mama told me, boy that I don't want you get
- 38:07Speaker 1: no white suit. I had paper out, like give me,
- 38:11Speaker 1: I'm getting the white suit, white suit. I only had
- 38:15Speaker 1: one pair of shoe they were black, so I wanted
- 38:18Speaker 1: a black shirt. I couldn't find a black shirt. Bought
- 38:22Speaker 1: a white shirt at a box of Rick Die and
- 38:26Speaker 1: died it. I died this shirt in church, got hot
- 38:32Speaker 1: to die, bleeding out the shirt into the suit. Your
- 38:38Speaker 1: mother told you, I'm since have been here, man, with
- 38:41Speaker 1: this cheap as shirt. I got sweating. It's leaking to
- 38:46Speaker 1: die is leaking onto the suit. Man. I was so hurt.

- 44:20Speaker 1: is the subject of I'm the Strawberry letter for today,
- 44:23Speaker 1: My man's daughter saw it all okay. But right now
- 44:25Speaker 1: the nephew is here with today's frank phone call. What
- 44:27Speaker 1: you got nearly This is oak creosity calm it down, Carlin,

- 45:02Speaker 1: my understanding this is for your for your occupation correct, Yeah, okay,
- 45:06Speaker 1: you're at what do you do for a living when
- 45:08Speaker 1: you're a river? Okay? Now I was giving you a
- 45:12Speaker 1: call about I'm here looking at your records and all
- 45:14Speaker 1: the testings that you actually went through. Um wow, let's
- 45:19Speaker 1: see have you had any Have you had any activity
- 45:21Speaker 1: or any problems around your naval area? No? Fine, okay,
- 45:27Speaker 1: saying all right, yeah, everything's fine. But I mean if
- 45:30Speaker 1: you haven't had any any type of nothing, no breakout
- 45:34Speaker 1: or anything around your navel or whatsoever. Na about my navel?
- 45:39Speaker 1: Now everything's going straight, man, Okay, to see what's going on? Man,
- 45:43Speaker 1: what's happening? Okay? Actually, you've been diagnosed with um oak
- 45:48Speaker 1: triositis andasta triosis is actually a fungus that comes out
- 45:52Speaker 1: of South America, and you have no activity whatsoever around
- 45:57Speaker 1: your navel the same man, it's oaktriositis, sir. And what
- 46:04Speaker 1: what that is is actually you're you're if you haven't
- 46:07Speaker 1: had it yet, you say you haven't had any activity.
- 46:10Speaker 1: There's gonna be like a small little tree that's gonna
- 46:13Speaker 1: be growing from your navel. And it gets about six
- 46:16Speaker 1: inches long and it probably bears about probably about twenty
- 46:19Speaker 1: five to thirty leaves on it, but it's very small.
- 46:21Speaker 1: Who you see a tree gonna be growing out my name,
- 46:25Speaker 1: It's gonna be a small tree. And uh, what's gonna
- 46:28Speaker 1: happen is I'm gonna have to get you to come
- 46:30Speaker 1: back in probably in the next month. We're gonna need
- 46:32Speaker 1: you to come in so we can check it out.
- 46:34Speaker 1: But it's got to grow its fullest potential before we
- 46:36Speaker 1: can actually do anything to it. Nah, I can't come
- 46:39Speaker 1: in and on mind, I got to come in today. Man,
- 46:42Speaker 1: somebody got so we we we can just trying to resolve. Man,
- 46:46Speaker 1: I'm gonna get married. Man, Well we can't. It has
- 46:48Speaker 1: to grow its fullest potential, sir. And uh, the full
- 46:51Speaker 1: term is actually like about four weeks before we can
- 46:54Speaker 1: actually and I'm not waiting for those four weeks Man,
- 46:56Speaker 1: somebody got to come till meet something, right, Nah, Man,
- 46:59Speaker 1: I ain't gonna go marri Man have to fly to time,
- 47:01Speaker 1: man and have something going out of my neighbor. Man,
- 47:03Speaker 1: y'all going crazy, man, Sir Otriosa, this is something that's
- 47:07Speaker 1: very rare. We were actually getting this assignment from overseas
- 47:10Speaker 1: in South America on how to treat this. Man. I
- 47:12Speaker 1: don't give it down. Where is it? Man, somebody's gonna
- 47:14Speaker 1: have to come give me some help right now. Man,
- 47:17Speaker 1: I'm gonna get ready to get married. Man. I'm not
- 47:19Speaker 1: gonna be putting up with it. Man, somebody in this
- 47:21Speaker 1: office main't got to come down and do something for me. Man.
- 47:24Speaker 1: And what you say telling as you said, I can
- 47:26Speaker 1: cut it out myself. So the best I can do
- 47:28Speaker 1: is probably trim it a bit, you know, and maybe
- 47:30Speaker 1: knock a few leaves off, But I cannot touch the
- 47:33Speaker 1: full stock at all. Man. You can cut this put
- 47:35Speaker 1: the bad day do something, sir. If you cut it
- 47:39Speaker 1: right now, you cannot, sir. If you cut it, there's
- 47:42Speaker 1: a possibility of hemorrhaging, and you're gonna really create a
- 47:44Speaker 1: bigger problem than what you have already. Man, I'm trying
- 47:48Speaker 1: to get this school or dot. Man. He didn't tell me.
- 47:50Speaker 1: It ain't nobody that I've dried on there and get
- 47:53Speaker 1: this put dot man. I'm gonna get married in two weeks. Man,
- 47:57Speaker 1: we're gonna fly to Jamaican. It can't now. Somebody can
- 48:00Speaker 1: do this for me. So you cannot pull it out.
- 48:05Speaker 1: You're gonna create, good man, You're gonna create a bigger
- 48:08Speaker 1: problem if you try to pull it out. Sorry, problems
- 48:11Speaker 1: already up. I'm trying to get this probber Man. Give
- 48:14Speaker 1: me till the big hospital. Ain't now hit me. You
- 48:19Speaker 1: want me to do that. It's not something man, I
- 48:22Speaker 1: poke out of my summer and you you can do man, sir,
- 48:26Speaker 1: Oak triositis is not something that we treat all the time.
- 48:28Speaker 1: Like I said, it hails from South America, so we
- 48:31Speaker 1: got I don't give a from Great Britain somebody for
- 48:36Speaker 1: me to come down and help me, poor man, sir.
- 48:39Speaker 1: I understand what you're going through, but we have to
- 48:41Speaker 1: let it grow it's full term, which is four weeks, sir,
- 48:45Speaker 1: the full root of it to grow. Man. I ain't
- 48:47Speaker 1: something whoa man gonna root in right now. Man, y'all
- 48:51Speaker 1: gonna have to do something. Man, sure, there's nothing we
- 48:53Speaker 1: can do. We can probably trim it a little bit.
- 48:56Speaker 1: The trim, get some training song and do something. Sir.
- 49:01Speaker 1: There's nothing we can do at this point but sit
- 49:03Speaker 1: back and wait and let it grow. It's full term. Okay.
- 49:05Speaker 1: Can we get you waiting? Man? Somebody helped me, right, na, Man, Sir.
- 49:10Speaker 1: Can we get an appointment for you in the next
- 49:12Speaker 1: four to five weeks? And when we do that, you
- 49:13Speaker 1: got to get appointment for me through dating. I'm going
- 49:16Speaker 1: to give matter. Man, I'm gonna fly to Jamaica. Man.
- 49:18Speaker 1: I can't have them chicking out of me. I can't
- 49:21Speaker 1: see it. The aport. Man, you're going embarrassing me like that. Man,
- 49:25Speaker 1: chick it out my neighbor. Sir, I understand it. And
- 49:28Speaker 1: like I said, oatriositis is very rare, and it's it's
- 49:31Speaker 1: something that we haven't treated that many times here in
- 49:34Speaker 1: the States, but overseas. The message that we're getting is
- 49:37Speaker 1: that we need to let it grow. It's full term
- 49:39Speaker 1: till me ain't. Nobody in the mirror has got man,
- 49:44Speaker 1: it's oatriositis, sir. So I can get it if nobody
- 49:48Speaker 1: else got it, Sir, I could not believe that you
- 49:52Speaker 1: were coming up with oatriositis here in the States. It's
- 49:55Speaker 1: it's something very rarely seen here. There's been two people
- 49:58Speaker 1: in the past has been diagnosed with this and actually
- 50:00Speaker 1: passed away. So now you telling me to die and
- 50:04Speaker 1: you're gonna chip me three weeks, man, I'm coming down
- 50:07Speaker 1: another day. Man, somebody's gonna do something for me. There's
- 50:10Speaker 1: nothing that we can do today until four to five
- 50:13Speaker 1: weeks or I gotta go get married. I'm flying to Jamaica. Man.
- 50:18Speaker 1: I just said, Man, I'm hearing what you're saying, but
- 50:21Speaker 1: I can't do anything if you don't see the tree
- 50:24Speaker 1: already coming out of the navel. Yet, somebody got to
- 50:28Speaker 1: do something. Mind. Now I'm saying what you want me
- 50:30Speaker 1: to do. Man, I don't know what I want you
- 50:33Speaker 1: to do, sir, but I have one more thing I
- 50:34Speaker 1: can tell you what you got to say. Man, are
- 50:37Speaker 1: you listening listening to you? Man? This is nephew Timmy
- 50:41Speaker 1: from the Steve Hoppin Morning Show. You just got pranked
- 50:43Speaker 1: by your boy, earl. Man. You gotta be damn out
- 50:53Speaker 1: my wig. Man, you too, Tomming Man, Man, he'll be
- 51:00Speaker 1: going crazy here. Man. I'm looking at all of my
- 51:03Speaker 1: damn neighbor things. The truth fell to go out this man,
- 51:06Speaker 1: I'm on man, No, you ain't on the right now. Man,
- 51:10Speaker 1: I'm already never two weeks man. Hey, man, I got

- 51:39Speaker 1: Who you always ask us that? I just gotta know
- 51:42Speaker 1: how you felt about it? You know you're the greatest,
- 51:44Speaker 1: You're the king of pranks. Did you feel did you
- 51:46Speaker 1: feel anything? You can get your butt wept one day?
- 51:49Speaker 1: What's this? But it's fairly That's why I do it.
- 51:54Speaker 1: Your asses the wind. We knew this is gonna make
- 52:01Speaker 1: call to go crazy right here. Hey, that's classic, man,

- 52:47Speaker 1: All right, all right, coming up next, it is my
- 52:53Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter for today. This subject my man's daughter saw
- 52:56Speaker 1: it all. We'll be doing the Strawberry Letter when we
- 52:59Speaker 1: come back right after this. Top of the hour. Let's go.
- 53:03Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show right now. It
- 53:08Speaker 1: is time for today's Strawberry Letter. If you need some
- 53:11Speaker 1: advice on relationships, on dating, on work, on sex, on parenting,
- 53:15Speaker 1: and more, please submit your Strawberry Letter to Steve Harvey
- 53:18Speaker 1: FM dot com and click submit to Strawberry Letter. Was
- 53:21Speaker 1: there anything you wanted to add to that? If you
- 53:24Speaker 1: don't send as D letters, you will never be famous.
- 53:28Speaker 1: We will be real loser. Is that what you said?
- 53:31Speaker 1: This could be your only chance. We could be reading
- 53:40Speaker 1: your letter on the air, just like we're gonna read
- 53:42Speaker 1: this one right now. Buckle up and hold on tight.
- 53:44Speaker 1: We gotta pull you here. It is the straw buried letter.
- 53:49Speaker 1: Subject my man's daughter saw it all. Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 53:53Speaker 1: My fiance and I have been together for a while,
- 53:56Speaker 1: but we don't live in the same city, so we
- 53:59Speaker 1: do everything we can to spice keep the spice in
- 54:02Speaker 1: our relationship. We spend We send flirty texas and explicit pictures,
- 54:07Speaker 1: and when we're together it is on and popping. The
- 54:10Speaker 1: texas and pictures we send are so raunchy, risque and
- 54:14Speaker 1: vulgar that a porn star would blush. We can't help it. Well,
- 54:20Speaker 1: now we have a big problem. My man has a
- 54:23Speaker 1: fifteen year old daughter and I have always had a
- 54:26Speaker 1: great relationship with her until recently when she went through
- 54:30Speaker 1: her daughter's phone, her father's phone and saw it all.
- 54:35Speaker 1: Since then, she does not want anything to do with
- 54:38Speaker 1: me or her dad. She has not visited him since
- 54:41Speaker 1: this incident. I have reached out to her, but she
- 54:44Speaker 1: will not speak to me. I am so hurt because
- 54:47Speaker 1: she thought of me as her stepmom and I called
- 54:49Speaker 1: her my daughter. My man is crushed and he doesn't
- 54:53Speaker 1: know what to do. By the way, she has been
- 54:56Speaker 1: punished several times for going through other people's things, but
- 55:00Speaker 1: this time is different. I do now know how. I
- 55:03Speaker 1: do not know how to fix this or if it
- 55:06Speaker 1: can be fixed. I think my man could be doing
- 55:09Speaker 1: more to help. He's got to step up, or his
- 55:11Speaker 1: relationship with his daughter may not ever be the same.
- 55:14Speaker 1: I need some real advice on how to handle this
- 55:17Speaker 1: and keep my family together. Please help, Wow, dear, please help. Yeah,
- 55:23Speaker 1: this is a a mess right here. This is a
- 55:26Speaker 1: big problem. This young lady has been punished already for
- 55:32Speaker 1: going through people's things, and you know that's the problem.
- 55:35Speaker 1: When you go through people's things, a lot of times
- 55:38Speaker 1: you find what you don't want to find, and you
- 55:41Speaker 1: see what you don't want to see or what you'd
- 55:43Speaker 1: never think in a million years you would see. This
- 55:46Speaker 1: is her dad. She's traumatized. This is her soon to
- 55:49Speaker 1: be step mom that you know she highly looks up to,
- 55:52Speaker 1: and at a fifteen year old. She as a fifteen
- 55:55Speaker 1: year old, she cannot process this. It's hard for her
- 55:58Speaker 1: to process. So this is a major problem for everybody
- 56:03Speaker 1: all around. And quite frankly, you know, I don't I
- 56:06Speaker 1: don't know what to tell you to do. You know,
- 56:09Speaker 1: you want to keep your family together, Maybe you can
- 56:11Speaker 1: start with some sort of family therapy. You know, you
- 56:14Speaker 1: gotta try and talk to this this young girl and
- 56:17Speaker 1: see if you can get through to her on a
- 56:20Speaker 1: different level. I mean, but it's going to be hard
- 56:22Speaker 1: because she's seen you like this. So you know, you
- 56:27Speaker 1: got to talk about the respect level. Now, you got
- 56:29Speaker 1: to talk about the fact that she sees you is
- 56:33Speaker 1: probably somebody nasty and just someone that she doesn't want
- 56:36Speaker 1: to deal with. You know, she's so disappointed and upset
- 56:40Speaker 1: with her dad. But I think in this instance you
- 56:44Speaker 1: and her dad are going to have to sit her
- 56:46Speaker 1: down and talk to her, especially her dad. But give
- 56:48Speaker 1: it a little time. Let some time go by, and
- 56:51Speaker 1: then maybe maybe you can all come to the table
- 56:55Speaker 1: and have a conversation. You know, tell her it was
- 56:57Speaker 1: an accident. You didn't mean to uh for her to
- 57:01Speaker 1: see all of this, and um, you know, I don't
- 57:04Speaker 1: know this is this is a tough one for me, Steve,
- 57:07Speaker 1: not for you. Yeah, it ain't nothing you can do.
- 57:12Speaker 1: That is nothing you can do. Let's just start with
- 57:18Speaker 1: the fact. Can't turn it down just a little bit
- 57:22Speaker 1: because what I'm about to say I need everybody's undivided. Okay,
- 57:28Speaker 1: come on, here's the whole letters in this right here
- 57:34Speaker 1: we seeing flirty texts and explicit pictures, and when we're
- 57:40Speaker 1: together it's on in popa. Here is the killer. The
- 57:44Speaker 1: text and pictures we see are so runchy, escate, and
- 57:51Speaker 1: vulgar that a pawn star would blush. I hadn't done it.
- 57:59Speaker 1: What she's saying and what Stormy Daniels did with President
- 58:05Speaker 1: Trump ain't nothing. Wow, y'all been doing photos, photo shoots
- 58:13Speaker 1: and set ups from Blacktail magazine. Black Tail, Yeah, that's
- 58:21Speaker 1: how raunchy. YOA Blacktail was a black Porto magazine with
- 58:26Speaker 1: no makeup artist, with no no touch up. So photo,
- 58:34Speaker 1: we're taking this picture, we're printing it. We ain't got
- 58:37Speaker 1: money for touch up. Stretch marks, bullet wounds, bruising cuts,
- 58:48Speaker 1: very colose veins, all of it. Bite mind. Now, what
- 58:53Speaker 1: my question to you is when you say raunchy, risk,
- 58:58Speaker 1: skate and loco that a pawn starward blush, let me
- 59:03Speaker 1: ask you a couple of questions. You obviously have sent
- 59:06Speaker 1: a picture where your right foot was on the floor. Well,
- 59:10Speaker 1: where was your left foot? She didn't not put that
- 59:13Speaker 1: in the letters. I'm just asking because how raunchy is
- 59:15Speaker 1: we talking? She said it if your left foot, let
- 59:20Speaker 1: me explain something to you, was higher than your pelvic
- 59:24Speaker 1: in that picture right there? Who that runch you get? Now,
- 59:29Speaker 1: now now that we've covered now, that's risk skate. That's
- 59:33Speaker 1: risk skate. Now that you got your foot up, hide
- 59:36Speaker 1: in your pelvit, what would make it runch you? What
- 59:42Speaker 1: did you do? Well, now you started that had movement
- 59:46Speaker 1: in it. Raunchy is movement. So you didn't send a video? Okay? Yeah.
- 59:54Speaker 1: Steve's response coming up at twenty three after the hours,
- 59:56Speaker 1: subject my man's daughter saw it all? You're listening show?
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: All right, Come on, Steve, Let's recap today's Strawberry Letters.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: Subject my man's daughter saw it all. This fifteen year
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: old girl then broke into her daddy's phone, and since
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: they live a part in relationship, they send each other
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: explicit pictures. The text and pictures were seeing a soul
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: raunch it risk and vulgar that a pawn star with blood.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: We can't help it. Well, the problem is the girl
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: and found the picture, and since she then saw it,
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: she don't want anything to do with me or her daddy.
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: We didn't punish this girl before for going through other
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: people's things, but this time is different. I don't know
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: how to fix it or can be fixed. This can't
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: be fixed. But now let reentrate. You sent a picture
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: that was raunchy, risk, skate, and vulcan. My breakdown is
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: how the picture was The three things risk skate picture
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: is your foot is on on the floor, your right
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: foot is flat on the float, your left foot is
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: somewhere up higher than your pilvet. That makes or risque picture.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: What made the picture runch you runch you was you
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: put that special effect on it where you was a humping.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: Real flash, you was boomeranging your picture. Now you got
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: that in there. Then what made it vulgar was something
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: was in your hand. Oh, the only other thing you
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: could have been doing. You neck it and you barefoot,
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: you on your toes on your right foot, but your
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: left foot is flat up against that wall. I'm talking
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: about flat up against that wall. So that's the breakdown
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: between risque, runchy, and volt Yeah, now you didn't done
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: all this hill wow, and you turning round talking back
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: over your shoulder at the camera, and you didn't mention
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: his name. So the little girl thanks us. Hell now
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: all she see and you yeah, and you got minny
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: you know, to look back, but she could damn there
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: see it yours problem. And when you got your leg
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: up that high, you damn nig got you look right
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: over your shoulder and right behind your shoulder. Blad daddy.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: That's why she don't want to talk to nobody. Now.
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: Now the girl don't want to talk to y'all because
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: her damn daddy. It's just the nasty. Oh yeah, I'm
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: gonna tell you one thing, because my daddy did some
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: pornographic around me one time. I would not pornographic to me,
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: just around me, which would have been today, would have
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: been pornographic. My daddy was woke up naked one night
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: and went in the refrigerator and I was coming downstairs
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: to use the bathroom, and he was standing in the
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: refrigerator drinking out of ice water bottle neck and I
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: saw we didn't have money for therapy. I'm just gonna
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: be honest with you. I still ain't over. I'm still
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: yeah traumatize. He wasn't as bright as today's turn around
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: enough at me contact, and then when he saw me,
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: he continued to drink and put his damn hand on
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: this hill. You know, it was very different from me
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: back then, so I didn't have to wear it about it,
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: and so I was traumatized. This girl is traumatized. She
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: not talking to you or her daddy. Y'all got to
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: get in therapy, yeah, definitely, but she probably ain't gonna
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: want to go. I mean, I mean, even if she
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: goes by, I said, what's she gonna do? What y'all
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: gonna do. Y'all gonna take the pictures and discuss each one,
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: but you know she's gone talk about your torm Well
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: maybe not. She might not have the trouble for looking, Yeah,
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: because she didn't get in trouble. Ain't gonna need a
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: whipping her punishing her for this, because if y'all hadn't
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: have been sending all that nasty man and what code
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: your fiance got where fifteen year old could get in it?
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: I know, well, you know, why is it? Fifteen year
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: old with his phone? That's what? Yeah, thank you, yeah,
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: my own phone. But I mean she has a problem
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: obviously with being nosy and go through other people's nosy
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: then got you in there. Yeah, yeah, now your share
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: off shot. Yeah, she's looking for something. But in due
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: time this will heal, it will it will heal in time,
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: But she gonna go off to college, her own activities
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: will begin. And what y'all doing with pale and compassing
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: to what the kids out here doing right now? I'm
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: telling y'all right now, you think they'll get married? Who
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: the lady who wrote the letter and her fiance? Yeah
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: they Yeah, because that little girl the probably screen shot
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: them pictures and sent them to her phone home. Yeah,
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: that little girl right there, yead it probably gonna had
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: to go on and get married and all that. So
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: I don't know, we really can't help. I don't know
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: what to tell you. I don't know how how nasty, hey, risque,
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: raunchy and vulgar. There's levels, there's level. So let me
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: guess what another picture you was on? You was nicking
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: on a bike like her stationary bike. Yeah, she was
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: nicking on because she was exercising and sent Yeah, on
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: the tour the friends and you have got extra jiggy
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: with it. You took the seat them, you sent that
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: pole girl and all I feel sorry for the little girl.
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: She tried to get her mind wrapping on how nasty
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: you and her her damn daddy is. And Steve, no
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: one wants to see their parents, no body, No one

- 1:18:07Speaker 1: then laid it out the night before, just gonna hurt
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: him on the boy. I remember one year, man, I
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: got me a white suit. My mama told me, boy
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: that I don't want you to get no white suit.
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: I had paper out I get me. I'm getting the
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: white suit. White suit. I only had one pair of
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: shoe they were black, so I wanted a black shirt.
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: I couldn't find a black shirt. Bought a white shirt
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: at a box of Rick Die and died it. I
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: died his shirt in church, got hot to die, bleed
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: out the shirt in Tennesseup. Your mother told you, I'm

- 1:19:06Speaker 1: I was so hurt. Now mussuit got the great blotches
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: on it. Man, you know this is wayfolk camouflage. I
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: could not play at all. All right, Steve coming up
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: closing remarks right after this, you're listening to all right,
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: here we are last break of the day. It's been
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: a fun day to day guys, really fun. Yeah, I know,
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: I'm loving Steve and I disagree that. All right, Steve,
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: we've had a great day, like I said, and it's
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: time for your closing remarks, and you're gonna do something
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: special today. I'm gonna do something a little bit different today.
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: You don't know what music means to me. I'm actually
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: an expert in music. I really really am. It's not
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: that I sing or play, it said. I'm an expert
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: of the sound the music. I know good music. I
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: know real music I've picked. I can't tell you how
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: many hits. I love music, but I love nothing nothing
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: like I love Earth Winning five. So Maurice, before he
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: passed his book is called Timeless. At first it was
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: called Here to the Sky. Then they changed it to
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: be Ever Wonderful. Well, they changed it again to Timeless.
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: But he asked me to write the forward to the book.
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: I wrote the forward my own way. I turned it in.
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: The writer gave it back to me, scrubbed up. I said,
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: this isn't what I wrote. He said, mister Harvett, we
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: can't print that. I'm telling you how I feel about it.
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: Winning five. I can't write it no other way. He said,
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: I'm sorry, we can't do it. I said, well, tell Maurice,
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: I appreciate it, man, but I can't write nothing else.
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: They went back to Maurice. Maurice said, you left Steve
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: Harvey write. However he want to write about us, because
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: we mean something to that man. I've introduced Earth Winning five.
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: I was with him when they had the ceremony for
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: putting their hands in the side walk out in LA
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: and front of the Good Toss Store. I did the
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: Lifetime Achievement Award for them. They know how I feel
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: about them, so I wrote the forward. Today, I'm gonna
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: read you what I wrote about Earth Winning Five. This
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: is what I wrote. I said to write about how
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: I feel about Earth Winning Five. A musical group that
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: has meant more to me than any other. Is a
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: true blessing. The band's music is stored in my soul.
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: I first heard the group when I was in high school.
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: I never forgot the power of the album Head to
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: the Sky. The song that I absolutely loved was This
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: World Is a Masquerade. It remains my jam. By the
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: time I got to college, I was all over them.
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: As a freshman at Kent State, I vividly remember walking
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: into a store called the Cucumber Castle and buying earth
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: Winding Fires. That's the way of the World for three
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: dollars and ninety five cents. At the time, it broke me,
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: but it was or worth it. More than four decades later,
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: Earth Winning Fire's music is by far the most played
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: music of my life. Love's holiday, That's the way the
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: world can't high love and be ever wonderful or in
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: my personal top ten, earth Winning Fire is simply one
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: of the greatest living groups period. No one put together
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: lyrics to a melody like they did. No one put
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: harmony to sound and rhythm like they did. No one
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: added horns in the way they did. No one, but
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: no one messed with our minds about love and life
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: like they did. They remained so thoroughly committed to soul,
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: yet had a universal sound and appeal. On top of
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: all that they knew how to show. I can't express
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: how fully and completely this band has touched my being.
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: They have moved me beyond words over the years, and
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: lyrics interpret and convey my emotions, and in harmony they
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: seeing my feelings exactly as they are in words that
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: could not have said it better. I've shared the music
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: with my three sons, age ranging from almost adult to
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: the mid twenties. I was excited when they all put
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: several albums in that eyepod. It made me smile. It
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: is an honor to be asked to endorse Maurice White's
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: amazing life story of how he took his band from
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: conception to legendary status. The book is rich in tales
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: of brothers in song that damn Verden the base, White
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: Philip have mercied Bailey and the rest of the heaven
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: Sent band. God was right on time when he hooked
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: up their skills. My interpretation of the elements is this
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: Earth because they grow on you, Win because they move
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: you in one loving direction. And Fire because they set
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: your heart aflame, hands down, Earth, Wind and Fire. It's
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: the greatest group of all time. Maurice, I love and
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: appreciate you at the highest level. This book made me
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: smile over and over again, learning to behind the scenes
