- 1:43Speaker 6: You probably got to turn the mouth to turn out,
- 1:46Speaker 6: turn the money.
- 1:49Speaker 5: Look me, come.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Come on you, I sure will.
- 2:03Speaker 7: Good morning everybody. You are listening to the voice, Come
- 2:07Speaker 7: on dig me now, one and only. Steve Harvey got
- 2:11Speaker 7: a radio show man. I love it when I run
- 2:16Speaker 7: up into people and they say that to me. They say, hey,
- 2:18Speaker 7: Steve Harvey got a radio show. Then they wink at me.
- 2:21Speaker 7: I know they listening. You know, I got a lot
- 2:23Speaker 7: off my chest yesterday. I wanted to clear some things up.
- 2:25Speaker 7: And I appreciate y'all giving me a minute, because sometimes,
- 2:28Speaker 7: you know, you just got to say some things out loud.
- 2:32Speaker 7: Not complaining, but hey, just verbalizing, but realizing that I
- 2:36Speaker 7: got to keep going anyway. And that's my words this
- 2:40Speaker 7: morning to you, that I want you to keep pushing
- 2:45Speaker 7: no matter what happens. I want to share something with
- 2:49Speaker 7: you that's important, that's very very important. See, you have
- 2:56Speaker 7: to give God something too blessed. You know, if your
- 3:01Speaker 7: prayer is asking for God's blessings, you got to give
- 3:05Speaker 7: him something to work with. Now, you know, you gotta
- 3:11Speaker 7: show the spirit of appreciation or gratitude. You gotta let
- 3:16Speaker 7: him know that you're in it for the long haul.
- 3:20Speaker 7: No matter what happens. Don't turn around. You will never
- 3:26Speaker 7: ever see what the end could be. If you turn
- 3:31Speaker 7: around and go back, You'll never know what the end
- 3:35Speaker 7: could have been had you stuck it out.
- 3:39Speaker 2: You'll never know.
- 3:41Speaker 7: How good it could have gotten had you not just
- 3:45Speaker 7: weathered the storm. That's the thing that gets most people.
- 3:53Speaker 7: They get tough for him, It get hard for him,
- 3:56Speaker 7: and then they let doubts set in, and then those
- 3:59Speaker 7: doubts become facts and the next thing you know, they
- 4:02Speaker 7: give up. Had you not given up, or had you
- 4:07Speaker 7: given your best, what the results or outcome could have been.
- 4:11Speaker 7: I look back on my life on so many occasions
- 4:15Speaker 7: where in college I wasn't giving my best. Now flunked out. Now,
- 4:22Speaker 7: it's easy to look at my life NOWE go, yeah,
- 4:25Speaker 7: but look at you now. But back then, man, it
- 4:29Speaker 7: cost me for so many years that failing to finish
- 4:35Speaker 7: that not giving my all. It cost me a number
- 4:41Speaker 7: of years. I wish I could say that it didn't
- 4:44Speaker 7: mean nothing, that it was just a blip on the
- 4:46Speaker 7: radar screen screen, but at the time it was major.
- 4:50Speaker 7: And so you have a lot of decisions in your
- 4:52Speaker 7: life that are happening now. You may be in your twenties,
- 4:56Speaker 7: your late teens, you could be in your early thirties,
- 4:59Speaker 7: and it's happening. But guess what you'll eventually get through
- 5:03Speaker 7: it provided one thing, you never give up.
- 5:08Speaker 2: You never turn around and go back.
- 5:11Speaker 7: Had I written myself off because of one failure, see,
- 5:15Speaker 7: and this is where so many people go wrong at too.
- 5:18Speaker 7: You write yourself off after you failed at something, the
- 5:23Speaker 7: one thing you thought you wanted to accomplish, and you
- 5:26Speaker 7: failed at it. Now you write yourself off as a failure.
- 5:29Speaker 7: Now you go settle on into life and just see
- 5:32Speaker 7: what hand you get. Had when I flunked out of college,
- 5:37Speaker 7: had I written myself off as a failure, I wouldn't
- 5:40Speaker 7: be here today. When I lost my carpet cleaner company,
- 5:44Speaker 7: I would have written myself as a failure. And I
- 5:47Speaker 7: wouldn't be here today when I didn't become a diamond
- 5:50Speaker 7: distributed in Amway or a direct distributor in Amway, even
- 5:55Speaker 7: I would have written myself as a failure, and I
- 5:58Speaker 7: wouldn't be here today. When I bought a distribution kit
- 6:03Speaker 7: to become a distributor of the Bohemian Diet.
- 6:08Speaker 2: And I didn't make it, I would have written myself
- 6:11Speaker 2: as a failure.
- 6:12Speaker 7: When I became an Al Williams distributor and I didn't
- 6:15Speaker 7: make it, I would have written myself as a failure,
- 6:18Speaker 7: and I wouldn't be here today.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Oh, I got a list for you.
- 6:22Speaker 7: When I got laid off at for a motor company,
- 6:25Speaker 7: had I written myself as a failure, I wouldn't have
- 6:28Speaker 7: made it. Do you need some more? Because I have
- 6:34Speaker 7: a story filled with mishaps. I have a story filled
- 6:40Speaker 7: with failures. Couple of things now, the grace of God
- 6:45Speaker 7: and his mercy which is available to us all. See
- 6:49Speaker 7: that's the key, y'all, Because of his mercy, because of
- 6:53Speaker 7: his willingness to forgive and to even understand why we
- 7:00Speaker 7: do the things we do. In all of my shortcomings,
- 7:06Speaker 7: failed marriages I'm talking about, man got it all wrong.
- 7:11Speaker 2: Can't blame nobody else. It's just me.
- 7:15Speaker 7: Steve ain't have it together at that point in life.
- 7:19Speaker 7: I've could have written myself as a failure the first time.
- 7:23Speaker 7: I could have I just could have gave up on
- 7:25Speaker 7: it after the second one. And please know this is
- 7:29Speaker 7: an admission. This ain't bragging. So before you start in
- 7:32Speaker 7: with me, understand what I'm saying. I'm pointing out in
- 7:36Speaker 7: my life a series of missteps and failures. But how
- 7:43Speaker 7: I still get here today. Couple of things. God's grace
- 7:49Speaker 7: and mercy is first. But that's the key, that's for
- 7:54Speaker 7: everybody see if it's God's willingness to forgive you, and
- 7:59Speaker 7: god understanding of why we do what we do because
- 8:03Speaker 7: he said.
- 8:04Speaker 2: We wasn't gonna be perfect.
- 8:06Speaker 7: So in all of your imperfections, your creator told you
- 8:11Speaker 7: you would not be perfect.
- 8:12Speaker 8: He's said it to you.
- 8:13Speaker 7: It's out there. I don't care which one of the
- 8:16Speaker 7: books you read, it tells you that. So guess what
- 8:22Speaker 7: With that in mind, he has a grace that he has.
- 8:26Speaker 7: It's like a grace period. It's like when you don't
- 8:28Speaker 7: pay your insurance premium on the day that is due.
- 8:32Speaker 7: The next day, they don't just cancel your insurance premium.
- 8:36Speaker 7: They have a grace period because they ain't trying to
- 8:39Speaker 7: stop this money from coming in but when it comes
- 8:43Speaker 7: to God, there's no money required. He just gives you
- 8:46Speaker 7: the grace freely. It don't cost you nothing. See, you
- 8:50Speaker 7: gotta tap into that, y'all. You gotta get in touch
- 8:53Speaker 7: with that, because that's an important part to making it.
- 8:55Speaker 7: Understanding that His grace is available. So when you make
- 8:59Speaker 7: a mistake, So when you fail at it, he has
- 9:04Speaker 7: a loophole in the contract with him that allows you
- 9:08Speaker 7: to make mistakes, that allows you to get it wrong,
- 9:11Speaker 7: that allows you to fail time and time and time again.
- 9:15Speaker 7: But if you never give up, if you keep getting up,
- 9:18Speaker 7: if you keep trying, if you keep striving, if you
- 9:21Speaker 7: keep making the effort to go forward and not go back,
- 9:25Speaker 7: God has a blessing for you, and He has it
- 9:29Speaker 7: in abundance for you, and God will give it to
- 9:32Speaker 7: you at the right time. But you got to be ready. Oh,
- 9:37Speaker 7: I want it to be successful. But if He had
- 9:40Speaker 7: given it to me back then I wouldn't have handled
- 9:43Speaker 7: it correctly because I would have made some more mistakes
- 9:47Speaker 7: along the way.
- 9:49Speaker 2: So you make the mistakes to learn the lessons. Lord,
- 9:53Speaker 2: ain't God been good to me? I ain't gonna lie
- 9:56Speaker 2: to you.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Cool you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning.
- 9:59Speaker 7: Show, Ladies and gentlemen, Today is today that the Lord
- 10:07Speaker 7: has made.
- 10:08Speaker 2: Let us rejoice and be glad in it.
- 10:10Speaker 7: It's a crazy world we live in, but still all
- 10:14Speaker 7: in all, in spite of everything, I wake up today
- 10:17Speaker 7: with the same gratitude, a little heavy heart, but the
- 10:21Speaker 7: same gratitude that I always have.
- 10:23Speaker 2: I'm grateful that God is still.
- 10:25Speaker 7: In the hearing business, the blessing business, the redeeming business,
- 10:30Speaker 7: and the forgiving business. I'm asking Him to forgive me
- 10:33Speaker 7: for anything that I might say today that's not Christian life.
- 10:38Speaker 2: I will not be focusing on my Christian side today much.
- 10:41Speaker 7: At all, anyway, and so I ask Him to forgive
- 10:44Speaker 7: me for my flaws because today I don't feel like it.
- 10:49Speaker 2: I'm off the line today, and I do that from.
- 10:52Speaker 7: Time to time because I am an imperfect soldier for Christ.
- 10:55Speaker 7: So today I might not be on the white line
- 10:58Speaker 7: like I'm posed to as a Christian. But that's just
- 11:01Speaker 7: fine with me. I'll get back on it when I
- 11:05Speaker 7: feel better. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the Steve Harvey
- 11:08Speaker 7: Morning Show, starving Shirley Strawberry, Carla Farrel, Mississippi, Monica Junior,
- 11:14Speaker 7: and the legend of Nephew Tunney.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Ladies and gentlemen, let us begin with some moment of levity. Junior.
- 11:23Speaker 7: I'm scared to ask you what's on your mind because
- 11:25Speaker 7: you don't even look good on zoom.
- 11:29Speaker 2: See it like that, got your all folded. You know
- 11:33Speaker 2: what it is on.
- 11:36Speaker 9: Because as a comedian, see this is this, This is
- 11:39Speaker 9: where again hard how the job go?
- 11:42Speaker 1: Says a comedian.
- 11:43Speaker 9: We're supposed to show this the society what it is,
- 11:47Speaker 9: what's funny about what we do in life.
- 11:49Speaker 2: And you just don't feel like that every day. See
- 11:52Speaker 2: how today is like the other day.
- 11:53Speaker 3: Don't just don't.
- 11:54Speaker 9: Feel like we're supposed to be because you're killing people.
- 11:58Speaker 2: Look like me.
- 12:00Speaker 9: See I'm supposed to sit up here and stand on
- 12:01Speaker 9: stage and talk about what's wrong and make you.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Laugh about that. Ain't how I feel on the job.
- 12:06Speaker 2: I don't feel that way.
- 12:07Speaker 3: How you do it?
- 12:09Speaker 2: How you find out how to make these moments levity?
- 12:14Speaker 7: Well, in the beginning, there are a lot of moments
- 12:16Speaker 7: that just don't have levity to it because we are
- 12:19Speaker 7: affected by this world and these conditions, in these situations, just.
- 12:23Speaker 2: Like everybody else.
- 12:25Speaker 7: Our job is to provide moments of levity in dark
- 12:29Speaker 7: times as a diversion.
- 12:32Speaker 2: So today, you know, we'll try to do some of that.
- 12:34Speaker 7: Today we'll try to throw a little diversion, but at
- 12:37Speaker 7: the same time, we got to grapple with how we
- 12:39Speaker 7: feel and some days, you know, the community. See here's
- 12:43Speaker 7: a part about it. Is we that are stand ups
- 12:47Speaker 7: usually is for an hour on this radio show. We
- 12:51Speaker 7: got four hours to produce them highlight moments of laughter.
- 12:55Speaker 2: The rest of the day.
- 12:57Speaker 7: The three of us that are in this business happen
- 12:59Speaker 7: to be African American myth which I prefer to be
- 13:02Speaker 7: called black though I'm a black man.
- 13:05Speaker 2: I like that much better.
- 13:07Speaker 7: I prefer that because they just keep the American part
- 13:11Speaker 7: so hidden sometimes and so unavailable to me. And you know,
- 13:16Speaker 7: I love to be African American. You'll just put me
- 13:19Speaker 7: in the Constitution, the whole thing. I don't want to
- 13:22Speaker 7: be in pieces of it, just the whole thing. So
- 13:24Speaker 7: today we'll carry on, turn on. I might say something crazy,
- 13:30Speaker 7: I might not.
- 13:31Speaker 8: You might you think show all right?
- 13:37Speaker 10: Coming up in thirty two minutes after the hour, Nephew

- 25:58Speaker 10: his four year old son woke up and caught us.
- 26:01Speaker 10: His son knows me well because he has playdates with
- 26:04Speaker 10: my son. Do you think this little boy will say
- 26:07Speaker 10: anything to his mom?
- 26:09Speaker 2: What do we do? Hell yeah, hell yeah.
- 26:13Speaker 7: So all y'all got playdates now, huh okay, So just

- 27:15Speaker 7: Criminals don't do stuff to women, and criminals don't do
- 27:17Speaker 7: stuff to children.
- 27:19Speaker 2: When you go to prison for.
- 27:20Speaker 7: Violating a woman or a child, you've broken the conduct
- 27:23Speaker 7: cold of being a criminal when you are in a relationship.
- 27:29Speaker 7: If you are going to criminalize your relationship, do not
- 27:34Speaker 7: do it in your own house. Man, Take that stuff
- 27:38Speaker 7: somewhere else. So I got that you gonna have the affair,
- 27:43Speaker 7: but in your wife's house, in her bed, man, dog,

- 27:51Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, yeah, they're really taking a chance, all right, Steve.
- 28:00Speaker 10: This is from Chicken Potomac. Chick writes, I have been
- 28:03Speaker 10: dating a much older man for a full year, and
- 28:06Speaker 10: I haven't met any of his close friends or his family.
- 28:10Speaker 10: I live with him now and I wanted to plan
- 28:12Speaker 10: a cookout and have them over to the house. He said, no,
- 28:16Speaker 10: is he ashamed of our age difference?
- 28:20Speaker 2: Uh, I'm not really sure, but.
- 28:30Speaker 16: You know, what is it?
- 28:34Speaker 2: Maybe his ex.
- 28:38Speaker 7: It's still cool with everybody, or maybe his ex made
- 28:43Speaker 7: a lot of friendships in the family and stuff like that.
- 28:47Speaker 2: It could be that. No, you know, they may not
- 28:51Speaker 2: even know you stay there yet.
- 28:53Speaker 3: You know.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Oh, I don't think you really know how you got in.
- 28:59Speaker 7: This relationship and ship. But obviously he's free enough where
- 29:04Speaker 7: you can live with him.
- 29:06Speaker 1: But you know, he's a much older man. She said,
- 29:11Speaker 1: much old.
- 29:11Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 29:14Speaker 7: It ain't no shi oh yeah, oh yeah. See he
- 29:17Speaker 7: don't want nobody's opinion, that's what.
- 29:19Speaker 1: Yeah, no judgment.
- 29:22Speaker 2: He don't want nobody's opinion.
- 29:25Speaker 1: So the Memorial Day barbecue is not having.
- 29:28Speaker 2: It now, that ain't happening because that's like, that's like
- 29:31Speaker 2: in a week she.
- 29:33Speaker 10: Bought all that barbecue and all them beans and stuff,
- 29:37Speaker 10: all of that potato salad.
- 29:40Speaker 7: Yeah, put him in the freezer, baby, put him in
- 29:45Speaker 7: the preezer. You you the made you done killed two
- 29:48Speaker 7: two holidays with one shopping list.

- 29:53Speaker 18: All right, all right, thank you, She's Steve, Robin Martin
- 29:58Speaker 18: shaw Man. Every you know that die does not move you.
- 30:03Speaker 18: Let's just come to terms with that.
- 30:05Speaker 7: You've all gotten that call, man, you Steve, you're sitting down,
- 30:09Speaker 7: yell man, Uncle Remus died.
- 30:12Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 30:13Speaker 7: Well like hey man, y'all still having the barbecue Friday.
- 30:18Speaker 7: If everybody die, gotta does not require my morning.
- 30:24Speaker 10: Up?
- 30:24Speaker 8: Right up to you, all right, Steve, This one is
- 30:30Speaker 8: for you.
- 30:31Speaker 2: Here's a question.
- 30:32Speaker 1: What if you had access to stats based on your life?
- 30:36Speaker 7: Now?
- 30:37Speaker 10: This is according to according to a Reddit survey, They've
- 30:40Speaker 10: suggested that people should consider what they would learn if
- 30:44Speaker 10: they had access to a book of stats based on
- 30:47Speaker 10: their lives. What stat would scare you the most? For instance,
- 30:52Speaker 10: this probably doesn't even apply to you.
- 30:54Speaker 19: This first one.
- 30:55Speaker 1: Okay, go ahead here first okay, Steve, you want to
- 31:00Speaker 1: hear it?
- 31:01Speaker 8: Okay.
- 31:02Speaker 10: The number of missed opportunities? Yeah, how many times a
- 31:06Speaker 10: friend had lied to you if you knew it. Uh huh.
- 31:11Speaker 1: The number of times you almost died?
- 31:14Speaker 8: What I got that one?
- 31:16Speaker 10: Yeah, time spent procrastinating, that's a big one.
- 31:26Speaker 1: That's a big one.
- 31:27Speaker 10: The number of hours spent on a phone. Oh lord, yes,
- 31:33Speaker 10: and how many people don't like you?
- 31:36Speaker 1: Who high?
- 31:39Speaker 2: Right now?
- 31:40Speaker 8: So here's my question to Stephen and the guys.
- 31:44Speaker 7: The only reason your numbers ain't how for how many
- 31:46Speaker 7: people don't like it? Not that many people know you?
- 31:51Speaker 2: Wow, I'm talking about out the bushes.
- 31:53Speaker 1: Pull the trigger down.
- 32:00Speaker 16: I don't know.
- 32:00Speaker 2: We're not gonna be like America knows and they like me.
- 32:03Speaker 7: Can I just need to suggest it ain't that many
- 32:06Speaker 7: see you. Y'all didn't hear what Tommy saying. See I
- 32:08Speaker 7: was saying, I got my stats, and then you said
- 32:10Speaker 7: how many people don't like you?
- 32:12Speaker 2: Said, well, that's number for you gonna be hot.
- 32:14Speaker 7: And then I just got about the bushes and said, well,
- 32:16Speaker 7: the only reason is how people don't like you don't
- 32:19Speaker 7: know your.
- 32:20Speaker 2: See I didn't know that they know just liking your
- 32:24Speaker 2: That's all I was. I have an idea for a bit.
- 32:26Speaker 17: We need to get a sound effect, and any time
- 32:29Speaker 17: someone gets there, it's on the show.
- 32:35Speaker 2: I'm talking about. That one was so cool.
- 32:37Speaker 20: Junior got one though, Junior, give me my we don't
- 32:43Speaker 20: put it together, Steed. So when one gets hit, yeah,
- 32:52Speaker 20: because man, that was cold.
- 32:54Speaker 9: That was the reason why your numbers ain't hot because
- 32:57Speaker 9: they don't.
- 32:58Speaker 11: Nobody know, no, many black American, black Americans.
- 33:04Speaker 8: I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
- 33:07Speaker 2: I've been to the Black American meetings. They know who
- 33:09Speaker 2: am listen? None of you with somebody else. That's for Americans.
- 33:15Speaker 7: The media and got up front to talk because they
- 33:19Speaker 7: thought you was Emmanuel Lewis. And that's how you got
- 33:23Speaker 7: to that's what you're mad Manuel. Okay, here we go,
- 33:29Speaker 7: here my stats. Just listening to you, shirylo. Okay, Uh,
- 33:34Speaker 7: I've had I've been lied to by friends one hundred
- 33:37Speaker 7: and eighty times.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Wow, a random number.
- 33:41Speaker 2: That number and then the next one. I've almost died twice.
- 33:47Speaker 1: Whoa, whoa? Really?
- 33:49Speaker 2: I don't know if I know about Yeah.
- 33:51Speaker 7: I procrastinated for nine years. Oh I have nine years
- 33:56Speaker 7: of procrastination. That's nineteen. Well, from eighteen to twenty seven,
- 34:04Speaker 7: he felt like teen. Oh yeah, eighteen to twenty seven.
- 34:08Speaker 7: I blew those years.
- 34:09Speaker 8: But did you know at eighteen though, that you know?
- 34:13Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 34:14Speaker 8: Yeah, oh you knew.
- 34:16Speaker 10: Okay, because a lot of eighteen year olds are just
- 34:19Speaker 10: trying to figure it out still.
- 34:20Speaker 7: That's why I well, but I was procrastinating figuring it out.
- 34:24Speaker 7: I stopped the forward motion. Okay, Okay, I've spent six
- 34:29Speaker 7: hours on the phone.
- 34:31Speaker 2: That's it. That's all. I don't.
- 34:33Speaker 1: I don't do the phone, okay, especially if you're sick.
- 34:38Speaker 1: The last one, surely, how many people don't like you?
- 34:44Speaker 7: I think, well, percentage wise? Now you want the honest
- 34:48Speaker 7: truth of people who know me? Uh know you?
- 34:52Speaker 8: Okay, we'll take.
- 34:53Speaker 7: Less than point one percent that you can't people, Yeah,
- 34:59Speaker 7: you can't. You're not going to dislike me if you
- 35:02Speaker 7: know me. There's no way. There's just no way.
- 35:06Speaker 8: This one.
- 35:06Speaker 10: I didn't think you would have a high number either, Steve.
- 35:09Speaker 10: The very first one, the number of missed opportunities.
- 35:13Speaker 2: The number of missed opportunities is very high.
- 35:17Speaker 1: It is high.
- 35:19Speaker 8: I would think that would be low for you.
- 35:22Speaker 2: Well, I'm confusing. Let me say this.
- 35:28Speaker 7: Let me change that the number of failures. See, you
- 35:31Speaker 7: can't say missed opportunities because a lot of things that
- 35:34Speaker 7: don't come your way aren't for you anything.
- 35:37Speaker 2: Right, right, Because what God has for you, if he
- 35:40Speaker 2: has for you.
- 35:41Speaker 7: So I think the better stat would be to how
- 35:44Speaker 7: many failures I've had, and that is at minimum, at
- 35:50Speaker 7: minimum of thousands.
- 35:52Speaker 1: Okay, I can get with that. A lot yeah, but
- 35:56Speaker 1: I understand that. Yeah, that's a huge, numb, very very
- 35:59Speaker 1: high both failure.
- 36:00Speaker 8: That means you.
- 36:01Speaker 1: Tried a lot, you did a lot, you took a
- 36:03Speaker 1: lot of risks.
- 36:04Speaker 17: That's what that means. And that's what anyone that's successful,
- 36:08Speaker 17: they have failed a lot.
- 36:09Speaker 21: Yeah, you think about this high number of failures, but
- 36:13Speaker 21: look how successful he is to day.
- 36:16Speaker 1: And let that be a lesson everyone, you know, don't
- 36:20Speaker 1: give up. Yeah, no risk, no reward, no risk.
- 36:23Speaker 17: I think in terms of everybody in this room that
- 36:27Speaker 17: we we reached a level of success that you had
- 36:30Speaker 17: a lot of failures. We've all had faith. It's a
- 36:34Speaker 17: good place and I'm still failing, but that's your fault,
- 36:37Speaker 17: that's us.
- 36:38Speaker 1: But you're still That's what to do when you consider
- 36:41Speaker 1: that hot team right there.
- 36:44Speaker 10: Is that's we got to get that sound f right away?
- 36:51Speaker 8: Okay, all right, than the.
- 36:53Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this.

- 56:40Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 56:40Speaker 10: Nephew, subject, his sister or his secret lover. He's Stephen Shirley.
- 56:45Speaker 10: I've been in a long distance relationship for almost a year,
- 56:49Speaker 10: and when we're apart, we keep the magic going with
- 56:52Speaker 10: video chats and surprise gifts. He's big on family, and
- 56:56Speaker 10: he's got one sister and lots of aunts and uncles.
- 56:59Speaker 10: I have met all of his family, but I just
- 57:02Speaker 10: got a chance to meet a sister. She was always
- 57:05Speaker 10: working when I would come to town or she was traveling.
- 57:08Speaker 10: All my man talks about is his sister, and I
- 57:11Speaker 10: loved their relationship until I met her and I got
- 57:15Speaker 10: some family history. This woman would literally sleep in the
- 57:19Speaker 10: bed with my boyfriend and walk around in her underwear
- 57:22Speaker 10: around him. I don't do that with my brothers, but
- 57:25Speaker 10: some families are closer than others. A few times when
- 57:29Speaker 10: we'd be on a video call, she would walk by
- 57:32Speaker 10: in nothing but a bra and panti's and I did
- 57:35Speaker 10: not say a word. Fast forward to Easter weekend when
- 57:38Speaker 10: I went to stay with him and I finally met her.
- 57:41Speaker 8: She was cool but.
- 57:43Speaker 10: Seemed possessive of him, so I had hoped that she
- 57:46Speaker 10: would go home. She stayed the first night and she
- 57:49Speaker 10: told me that she would let me stay in the
- 57:51Speaker 10: king's bedroom with him. He said he wouldn't have it
- 57:54Speaker 10: any other way and told her to go sleep in
- 57:56Speaker 10: the guest room, but they stayed up all night chit chatting.
- 58:00Speaker 10: The following day, I mentioned it to one of his
- 58:02Speaker 10: aunts and she said that I had to watch that
- 58:04Speaker 10: girl because she's always had a crush on my man.
- 58:08Speaker 10: I found out that she was adopted when she was thirteen,
- 58:13Speaker 10: and they're not really related. She said that my boyfriend
- 58:16Speaker 10: should have told me that. I told her how close
- 58:19Speaker 10: they are, and his aunt ran her big mouth to
- 58:22Speaker 10: the family. They had no idea they'd been carrying on
- 58:26Speaker 10: the way they've been carrying on. My boyfriend said it
- 58:29Speaker 10: was none of my business, but shouldn't he have told
- 58:32Speaker 10: me they're not really related? Well, of course he should
- 58:37Speaker 10: have told you that. I mean, come on, now, there's
- 58:41Speaker 10: no question about it. He should have told you, Yes,
- 58:44Speaker 10: this is my sister. She lives with us, she has
- 58:47Speaker 10: been with us, but we are not related. And the
- 58:50Speaker 10: fact that he didn't that is a huge, huge red flag. Okay,
- 58:57Speaker 10: this woman is sleeping with the same sleeping in the
- 58:59Speaker 10: same bed with your man, wearing only her underwear around.
- 59:03Speaker 1: Him, and his aunt told you they're not related.
- 59:06Speaker 10: It's obviously they're very close and have have had and
- 59:10Speaker 10: are still having sex. I mean, why else would she
- 59:12Speaker 10: be so comfortable around him and just her undies? You
- 59:16Speaker 10: said you didn't do that with your brothers, And I
- 59:18Speaker 10: don't know too many people who walk around just in
- 59:20Speaker 10: their bra and panties, you know, in front of their
- 59:23Speaker 10: brothers and stuff. So I mean, come on, she's letting
- 59:27Speaker 10: you know what's up with them, and she's marking her
- 59:29Speaker 10: territory with them. She said she would quote let you
- 59:33Speaker 10: sleep in the King's bed with him, didn't she. So yeah,
- 59:36Speaker 10: she's very possessive of him, and you know she would
- 59:40Speaker 10: let you as if you need a permission to sleep
- 59:42Speaker 10: with him.
- 59:45Speaker 1: This man is not for you. I'm just gonna tell
- 59:47Speaker 1: you right now. He's not for you.
- 59:49Speaker 10: He already told you it's none of your business. Okay,
- 59:53Speaker 10: how can he tell you that? And you, guys are
- 59:55Speaker 10: supposed to be boyfriend girlfriend. You've been going at this
- 59:58Speaker 10: for a whole year in a long distance relationships are
- 1:00:01Speaker 10: hard enough, then you add this into the mix.
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: No, uh uh, clearly, this this is a mess right here.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: You need to dump him and move on.
- 1:00:10Speaker 10: He's not going to let his fake sister slash girlfriend go,
- 1:00:14Speaker 10: so you know, long distance relationship, Just cut it off
- 1:00:17Speaker 10: and move on.
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: Just do that, Steve, Wow, this is new one here.
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: I got two sisters.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: They walk around mercy.
- 1:00:27Speaker 7: Hell, no, please, please don't, please, Pleasemona Polly can't come
- 1:00:35Speaker 7: on now, Please don't don't send me to therapy.
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: No, just don't.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: Who does this?
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: I just don't even understand.
- 1:00:48Speaker 7: Now, you're in a long distance relationship now, and you've
- 1:00:52Speaker 7: been at this for about a year, and now when
- 1:00:57Speaker 7: you're in the longest relationship, there's gonna be something that
- 1:01:00Speaker 7: you just cannot know.
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: You just can't.
- 1:01:03Speaker 7: It's impossible to know some things simply because you don't
- 1:01:08Speaker 7: spend enough time together. You don't go over there at night.
- 1:01:11Speaker 7: He don't come over your house at night. You ain't
- 1:01:13Speaker 7: looked under the bed, you ain't looked up at the
- 1:01:16Speaker 7: top of that closet, and you ain't been in the
- 1:01:18Speaker 7: medicine cap. Those are the three things that a woman
- 1:01:21Speaker 7: has to if you've been dating the man for a
- 1:01:23Speaker 7: while and you think about it's gonna get serious, You've
- 1:01:26Speaker 7: got to get over his house, look under that bed,
- 1:01:30Speaker 7: look in the closet in the back or in the top.
- 1:01:34Speaker 7: And you got to get in that bathroom and open
- 1:01:36Speaker 7: up that medicine cap. I'm just telling you what you
- 1:01:38Speaker 7: got to do. They feel how you want to feel.
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: About me. Think what you want to think. I'm just
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: telling you what you got to do. You feel okay?
- 1:01:49Speaker 7: Now, now you're in this long and time relationship, you'd
- 1:01:53Speaker 7: have met all this aunts and uncles.
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: He's big on family, you know, and.
- 1:01:59Speaker 7: All the man talks about it's his sister you ain't
- 1:02:02Speaker 7: and you you finally got a chance to meet him.
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: But she was always working when you came to town,
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: or she was traveling.
- 1:02:09Speaker 7: And all he talked about is how he loved a
- 1:02:11Speaker 7: relationship until I met her and I got some family history. Uh,
- 1:02:16Speaker 7: they was he was sleep in the same bed as
- 1:02:18Speaker 7: your boyfriend, to walk around in her underwear around him.
- 1:02:21Speaker 7: I don't do that with my brothers. Don't nobody do
- 1:02:23Speaker 7: that with they brothers. Don't nobody do that with they brothers?
- 1:02:28Speaker 7: Y'all ain't hell billy? Now, if you he'll billy, you know,
- 1:02:34Speaker 7: I'm understanding this letter. But most he'll billies don't have email,
- 1:02:39Speaker 7: so I'm assuming you're not a heel billy.
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: Hang on, so we come back, Well, straighten us out, and.
- 1:02:45Speaker 7: Any hell billy that's listening and you sorry to take offense,
- 1:02:50Speaker 7: then just be offended.
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: All right.

- 1:02:56Speaker 10: twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's shrubbery that are
- 1:03:00Speaker 10: subject his sister or his secret lover. We'll get back
- 1:03:03Speaker 10: into it right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: An education is a transformation every day.

- 1:04:06Speaker 10: The subject his sister or his secret lover.
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: Well, like I tell you, I've never seen this before.
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: This is a crazy one.
- 1:04:14Speaker 7: She's in a long this relationship with a man now,
- 1:04:17Speaker 7: And when you're in a long this relationship, there's gonna
- 1:04:20Speaker 7: be some things you just don't know because y'all don't
- 1:04:22Speaker 7: spend time with each other enough and you ain't been
- 1:04:24Speaker 7: over each other's house. Just a jewel to help women
- 1:04:27Speaker 7: out if you're in a relationship with a man that
- 1:04:28Speaker 7: you think is getting serious.
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: Next time you over there are three things you need
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: to do. You need to look under that bed.
- 1:04:34Speaker 7: You need to open up that closet and look in
- 1:04:35Speaker 7: the back of the closet at the top of the closet,
- 1:04:38Speaker 7: and you have got to get in that medicine cabin
- 1:04:41Speaker 7: in that bathroom. Then the three places you need to
- 1:04:44Speaker 7: look so you can find out what's going on in
- 1:04:46Speaker 7: your life. All right, cool, Now, she'd have met everybody
- 1:04:50Speaker 7: in this family, aunts and uncles. He's really big on family,
- 1:04:53Speaker 7: and he got a loving relationship with his sister and
- 1:04:55Speaker 7: all they talk about his sister. But you ain't never
- 1:04:57Speaker 7: met her because every time you go over there, she's
- 1:04:59Speaker 7: out of town. The traveling. Well, you finally met her
- 1:05:02Speaker 7: and there's something going on right here. Uh, and you
- 1:05:07Speaker 7: know you found out that the man talks about his system.
- 1:05:10Speaker 7: You love their relationship till you met him. The one
- 1:05:12Speaker 7: would literally sleep in the same bed with your boyfriend
- 1:05:15Speaker 7: and walk around in her underwear around here. I don't
- 1:05:18Speaker 7: do that with my brothers. Don't nobody do that with
- 1:05:21Speaker 7: they brother Now, I told you before. The only people
- 1:05:24Speaker 7: do this is he'll billy. Now, if you're not a
- 1:05:26Speaker 7: heell billy, and I'm assuming you're not because you emailed us.
- 1:05:29Speaker 7: Most he'll billies don't have email. I will tell you
- 1:05:34Speaker 7: how He'll billies communicate. He'll Billy's do a lot with
- 1:05:39Speaker 7: smoke signals. Hell Billy's do a lot.
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: You know if some people over here come help me.
- 1:05:47Speaker 7: All either they use dog balls, you know they got
- 1:05:50Speaker 7: a hounter heard That means you know they're out looking
- 1:05:53Speaker 7: for something. It's just a lot of ways they communicate
- 1:05:56Speaker 7: email and one of them, here's the dog, that's a
- 1:06:02Speaker 7: hunting dog. That's a different sound. That's when you know
- 1:06:04Speaker 7: they owned the rabbit. See a little lesson on He'll billies.
- 1:06:07Speaker 7: I grew up in Welch, West Virginia, been around them
- 1:06:10Speaker 7: good part of my life. I love them because they
- 1:06:12Speaker 7: taught me a whole lot of stuff.
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: Would you get back to the letter.
- 1:06:17Speaker 7: Now here, he'll billies if you get hit by a skunk,
- 1:06:19Speaker 7: If you he'll believe been hit by a skunk. You
- 1:06:21Speaker 7: had to get in that tomato.
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: Juice, his sister or his secret lover. Okay, okay, cool,
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: Now we thank you.
- 1:06:27Speaker 7: Sister walking around in her drawers in front of the man.
- 1:06:29Speaker 7: A few times y'all would be on a video call.
- 1:06:32Speaker 7: She walked by in nothing but a broad penny and
- 1:06:35Speaker 7: I didn't say a word. Your sister walked by in
- 1:06:37Speaker 7: a video call is a broad and some penny? Really, okay.
- 1:06:42Speaker 7: I finally met her. She was cool, but she seemed
- 1:06:45Speaker 7: possessive of him. I'd hoped that she would go home.
- 1:06:48Speaker 7: She stayed the first night and told me she'd let
- 1:06:51Speaker 7: you stay in the king's bedroom with him. Wait a minute,
- 1:06:55Speaker 7: you mean y'all spend the night together in the bed
- 1:06:58Speaker 7: with the brown penny, and she gonna let you stay
- 1:07:02Speaker 7: in there a night.
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: And she seemed possessive. But they stayed up all night
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: chit chatting.
- 1:07:07Speaker 7: The following day I mentioned it to one of his aunts,
- 1:07:09Speaker 7: and she said, I had to watch that girl. See
- 1:07:12Speaker 7: here go to it's a couple of keys in this
- 1:07:14Speaker 7: letter I had to watch that girl because she's always
- 1:07:18Speaker 7: had a crush.
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: On my man. That girl, what you mean that girl?
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: Ain't that his sister?
- 1:07:24Speaker 7: Well you found out that she was adopted when she
- 1:07:26Speaker 7: was thirteen and they really not related? Well, he said,
- 1:07:30Speaker 7: jackpop h. Not only do I have a or somebody
- 1:07:35Speaker 7: that ain't my sister living with us now? Uh, I
- 1:07:39Speaker 7: got a sister wife. Oh huh, we're kicking it now.
- 1:07:47Speaker 7: She said that my boyfriend should have told me that.
- 1:07:50Speaker 7: I told her how close they are, and his aunt
- 1:07:54Speaker 7: ran her big mouth to the family. They had no
- 1:07:57Speaker 7: idea that they've been carrying on this way. No, because
- 1:08:01Speaker 7: they kept a secret because.
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: They know what they doing.
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: Ain't right.
- 1:08:06Speaker 7: My boyfriend said, it was none of my business. That's
- 1:08:09Speaker 7: the second tagline in this letter. First tagline, you need
- 1:08:14Speaker 7: to watch that girl because she's always had a crush
- 1:08:18Speaker 7: on my man. That was the add he is the
- 1:08:21Speaker 7: second line. My boyfriend said, it was none of my business.
- 1:08:26Speaker 7: See now that right there. But shouldn't he have told
- 1:08:29Speaker 7: me that they're really not related? He said, that ain't
- 1:08:32Speaker 7: none of your business.
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: See where was the.
- 1:08:36Speaker 14: That?
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: Where was the denial? Where was that at? Where's the
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: he wasn't even a pall. What rage you would think?
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: What there was?
- 1:08:51Speaker 14: No?
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: H that he wasn't thrown off? That wasn't no How
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: could you? How dare you? That's my sister?
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: We just cool like that.
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: No, ain't none of your beers listen to me.

- 1:09:10Speaker 7: a you you finish signed up for some foolishing.
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: Now.
- 1:09:13Speaker 7: The only thing that's okay and the only thing they're
- 1:09:15Speaker 7: getting away with is that ain't really his blood system.
- 1:09:19Speaker 7: She got adopted. They don't cross the line. If you
- 1:09:21Speaker 7: don't think they cross the line.
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: You stupid.
- 1:09:24Speaker 7: You can't walk around in front of me with your
- 1:09:25Speaker 7: panties and brawl now were the same age and you're attractive.
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: You just can't do that. Now.
- 1:09:32Speaker 7: If my sisters walked past me, mona walk past me
- 1:09:35Speaker 7: and her pandage and ball, I'm gonna have to go
- 1:09:39Speaker 7: into therapy somewhere. And I'm sixty six, my sister eighty seven.

- 1:11:28Speaker 7: About some is the activities it causes some people to
- 1:11:32Speaker 7: partake in it that don't need to partake it. And
- 1:11:35Speaker 7: it's like some people shouldn't wear a tank tops. I
- 1:11:39Speaker 7: just think summer brings out a look in some people.
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: You know I've often wanted. I'll tell you when I
- 1:11:45Speaker 2: discovered it.
- 1:11:46Speaker 7: You remember when you go to Disney all the time,
- 1:11:48Speaker 7: I kept going, where do they get these tank tops
- 1:11:52Speaker 7: with the armhole that exteers all the way down to
- 1:11:56Speaker 7: your belt, no matter how big you are, shows your
- 1:12:01Speaker 7: whole side of your body. I discovered that they sell
- 1:12:05Speaker 7: them tank tops at Walmart. I don't care how big
- 1:12:09Speaker 7: you are. You can get your arm in this tank top.
- 1:12:12Speaker 7: It might be tight round the stomach, but you're gonna
- 1:12:15Speaker 7: be able to get in his armhole. That has always
- 1:12:20Speaker 7: bothered me.
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: Yeah, your nephew had on one the other day, like
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: to point that out.
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: Which it ain't time for him for that. It's not time.
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: He ain't quite there.
- 1:12:33Speaker 7: See these sleeves. I got on, get you some sleeves. Dog,
- 1:12:36Speaker 7: you're not quite there. I know, your little boy, thank you,
- 1:12:41Speaker 7: strong and all, there are those of us who know
- 1:12:45Speaker 7: better and also to watch white men in the suburbs
- 1:12:50Speaker 7: cut their lawn with them strapped sandals, with them socks on.
- 1:12:55Speaker 7: That's another thing that that summer brings out that almost
- 1:13:00Speaker 7: want to stop and.
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: Go take your socks off. I just want to say that.
- 1:13:04Speaker 3: But I.
- 1:13:08Speaker 7: Also at a long uh, there are people on beaches
- 1:13:13Speaker 7: unclothed that really they need to they need to be
- 1:13:17Speaker 7: bbs what I'm saying, and that's really a beach band.
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: Beach band. There's some people that you know, need to
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: listen to me. Fellas.
- 1:13:27Speaker 7: If you to put on your swimming trunks and you
- 1:13:31Speaker 7: can no longer find the drawstring.
- 1:13:35Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: It's time.
- 1:13:38Speaker 7: If you wear two pieces and we can only find
- 1:13:43Speaker 7: the top piece, we have a problem.
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: Look at the time, we have a problem. We're never
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: asking you about I'm just telling.
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: You asked me what activates me about something? I was
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: just telling you.
- 1:13:57Speaker 10: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 1:14:04Speaker 10: So Steve David needs some advice from you. This is
- 1:14:07Speaker 10: from Facebook. He says, my girlfriend went out with the
- 1:14:09Speaker 10: girls over the weekend and when she came back, she
- 1:14:12Speaker 10: had a bunch of questions. It seems like the bar
- 1:14:15Speaker 10: they went to was also being visited by a girl
- 1:14:18Speaker 10: I hooked up with randomly for about three months eight
- 1:14:21Speaker 10: years ago. How the two of them met and why
- 1:14:24Speaker 10: my name came up, I'm sure I don't know, But
- 1:14:27Speaker 10: now I'm being hit with questions about why I did this,
- 1:14:29Speaker 10: why I did that, and why it didn't work out
- 1:14:32Speaker 10: eight years ago. The past should remain the past. I'm
- 1:14:35Speaker 10: sure my girlfriend wouldn't be happy if I dug up
- 1:14:38Speaker 10: dirt from her past and rubbed it in her face.
- 1:14:40Speaker 10: Uncle Steve, how do I put a stop to it
- 1:14:42Speaker 10: without looking defensive or like I'm trying to hide something.
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: All you had to do was say I wanted more.
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: She didn't. Hm, that's all you got to do.
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: Can't I go back and say that, yeah, okay.
- 1:14:57Speaker 7: Because she keep hitting it. But look, I'm just gonna
- 1:14:59Speaker 7: tell you this much a ball. I actually wanted to
- 1:15:02Speaker 7: build something with her. She didn't want it, and she
- 1:15:04Speaker 7: cheated on me.
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: Oh you add that at the end, Yeah, that'll shut
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: it down. That will shut it down.
- 1:15:14Speaker 8: But like she cheated on you, dage. She didn't say
- 1:15:18Speaker 8: all that at the bar.
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: Yeah, no, no, she ain't gonna tell you that.
- 1:15:23Speaker 10: She tried to make you look like the bad guy.
- 1:15:26Speaker 10: Come here, baby, all right? Yeah, here's another one. This
- 1:15:31Speaker 10: is from Sherry on Steve Harvey FM. Sherry writes, here's
- 1:15:35Speaker 10: a professional slash social etiquette question for the morning Crow.
- 1:15:39Speaker 10: I work in a close workspace in my office with
- 1:15:42Speaker 10: a guy who seems to have no clue how bad
- 1:15:45Speaker 10: he smells as the day wears on. Maybe he's just
- 1:15:49Speaker 10: nos deaf to it. I don't know, but it's close
- 1:15:52Speaker 10: to vomit inducing. How do you tactfully tell someone that
- 1:15:56Speaker 10: they have a stench problem at work without turning it
- 1:15:59Speaker 10: to an awkward or even professionally damaging situation him.
- 1:16:04Speaker 7: Give him an old spice gift set, you know, the
- 1:16:08Speaker 7: Father's Day for Give it to him for Father's Day
- 1:16:12Speaker 7: because it's coming up. Even if he ain't a daddy.
- 1:16:16Speaker 10: And all.
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: You can give it to him as a Memorial Day.
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: Gift memory holiday.
- 1:16:24Speaker 7: No, you just got to hear him get it to him.
- 1:16:28Speaker 7: Here's another opportunity to give him something for Juneteenth. Every
- 1:16:33Speaker 7: give him something for Juneteenth, Father's Day, Memorill Day, fourth
- 1:16:40Speaker 7: of July. Give him a nice Halloween gift. Give him
- 1:16:44Speaker 7: a nice labor Day gift. Then get him some air
- 1:16:49Speaker 7: freshness to put in his cart in little trees on
- 1:16:52Speaker 7: ourbor day.
- 1:16:53Speaker 8: This is nice.
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: You didn't have to give me anything. Oh yes I did.
- 1:17:00Speaker 7: What is this for?
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: We're just coworkers. I didn't get you.
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: I'm telling you directly.
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I won't get the hand.
- 1:17:15Speaker 11: Listen, you got it. Let me pull you to the side. Bro,
- 1:17:17Speaker 11: you got to do something with yourself. Man, everybody talks
- 1:17:19Speaker 11: about you. Man, we got we gotta be I'm gonna
- 1:17:21Speaker 11: help you.
- 1:17:21Speaker 7: Man.
- 1:17:21Speaker 11: Let's let's what all your bathing, what you're doing, I've
- 1:17:24Speaker 11: got we gotta have. We gotta have a conversation. But
- 1:17:27Speaker 11: this this look how long we've been together.
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: We wouldn't we wouldn't say nothing each other. We wouldn't say.
- 1:17:31Speaker 3: Nothing, you know.
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: Well yeah, yeah, well it's cool.
- 1:17:36Speaker 2: Yeah, it's cool.
- 1:17:37Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, thank God. We don't have to thank you,
- 1:17:40Speaker 10: praise the Lord. But you know, I think sometimes you
- 1:17:45Speaker 10: do have to take the direct approach because people still
- 1:17:47Speaker 10: don't get the hints. Because he doesn't smell in the morning,
- 1:17:51Speaker 10: she says, as the day wears on, start place you sweat.
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean you could just do it.
- 1:17:58Speaker 9: Then you just give them to give back, like said
- 1:18:00Speaker 9: Happy May twenty third, You know, give.
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: Just every day when I can't.
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: Anything day?
- 1:18:18Speaker 8: Oh wow, will you gave me this? What am I
- 1:18:20Speaker 8: supposed to do with this?
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: This is so nice?
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: I don't want to open it? But why do you
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: giving me one entrees? No one's want to remember you.
- 1:18:28Speaker 2: I'm going hard. I'm taking to the car washing. Let
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: the win is down. We fin drive through this thing.
- 1:18:32Speaker 2: We find drive, we finish, get that, We're finish, get
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: it cracking.
- 1:18:36Speaker 15: Dirt.
- 1:18:38Speaker 10: All right, We'll have more of today's Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:18:43Speaker 10: Show right after this.
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:18:51Speaker 2: Before day.
- 1:18:52Speaker 21: Work week is working Back In twenty fifteen, Iceland started
- 1:18:57Speaker 21: experimenting with the four day work week, letting him eployees
- 1:19:01Speaker 21: how you said it, Tommy, letting employees work for just
- 1:19:04Speaker 21: four days with no loss of pay. The early results
- 1:19:08Speaker 21: were positive, so they expanded the four day work week
- 1:19:11Speaker 21: in twenty nineteen. It seems like the move has been
- 1:19:15Speaker 21: a smashing success. Productivity has remained stable and even increased
- 1:19:21Speaker 21: in some industries. Government officials suggest this has happened because
- 1:19:26Speaker 21: of reduction and stress, along with a better work life
- 1:19:30Speaker 21: balance has improved mental health and effectiveness of workers.
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: So what do you guys think? Tommy been screaming this
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: for a long time.
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: Uncle Steve?
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: Four day work we do?
- 1:19:41Speaker 3: Could we do it?
- 1:19:42Speaker 2: Could we do it? Y'all? I agree? I would love to?
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: Okay, put it.
- 1:19:47Speaker 3: This is y'all showers the Steve Harby Morning Show.
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: Well, on that off day we off radio two. See
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: radio is five every day, six days? Yeah it's six.
- 1:19:56Speaker 7: So what I I would do if we go go
- 1:19:58Speaker 7: to photy and just we go to foe. Y'all, don't
- 1:20:01Speaker 7: get them listening to the rado on that day radio
- 1:20:04Speaker 7: shot out.
- 1:20:08Speaker 3: Can't do that.
- 1:20:09Speaker 2: We gotta be here, oh man, we gotta.
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: Oh man. All right, so we're back at work.

- 1:22:43Speaker 2: I think that's pretty Yeah. How long it is gonna take?

- 1:23:15Speaker 7: they know how to get it, and they just crawl out. Man,
- 1:23:17Speaker 7: they know they want to live somewhere else. They always expanded.
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: All right, Well, I.

- 1:23:35Speaker 2: All right? Moving on?

- 1:25:53Speaker 21: with us today at TMCF dot org.
- 1:25:56Speaker 10: All right, Steve, here we are at the last break
- 1:26:00Speaker 10: the day. It's been a good day, and here we
- 1:26:02Speaker 10: are with just one more thing. Your closing remarks.
- 1:26:06Speaker 2: You know, I've always heard people say you got to
- 1:26:09Speaker 2: take the high road.
- 1:26:11Speaker 7: But you know that's been difficult for me at times
- 1:26:14Speaker 7: because sometimes that hasn't always registered with me. I haven't
- 1:26:20Speaker 7: received it the way I should have taking the high road,
- 1:26:24Speaker 7: but Oprah put it a little bit differently, and I
- 1:26:28Speaker 7: received it differently. She said, she's always been taught never
- 1:26:33Speaker 7: to meet negativity with negativity, because the only thing can
- 1:26:37Speaker 7: come out of that is more negativity.
- 1:26:39Speaker 2: She said.
- 1:26:40Speaker 7: The only way to come back darkness is with light,
- 1:26:44Speaker 7: she said, and it only takes a little bit of
- 1:26:46Speaker 7: light to affect darkness. And so I started thinking, if
- 1:26:51Speaker 7: you're in a completely pitch black cave and you happen
- 1:26:55Speaker 7: to have the smallest candle, let's just say a birthday candle,
- 1:27:00Speaker 7: and you light a birthday candle in a pitch black.
- 1:27:04Speaker 2: Cave, it has a profound effect.
- 1:27:09Speaker 7: On a very large area in which was normally a
- 1:27:13Speaker 7: completely dark space. Just that one little piece of light
- 1:27:20Speaker 7: from a candle has a profound effect on a pitch
- 1:27:24Speaker 7: black dark cave. And she's absolutely correct. The only way
- 1:27:30Speaker 7: to combat darkness is to be light. And I was
- 1:27:34Speaker 7: talking to the girls and they were saying, Steve, that's
- 1:27:37Speaker 7: taking the high road. And they're absolutely right. That's exactly
- 1:27:40Speaker 7: what people mean when they say take the high road.
- 1:27:42Speaker 7: But I just never really received it that way because
- 1:27:45Speaker 7: it's been difficult for me sometimes to take the high road.
- 1:27:49Speaker 7: I've done it many times, but it's been challenging because
- 1:27:53Speaker 7: I being the way I am, Sometimes I go, okay,
- 1:27:56Speaker 7: all right, so this the road we riding towards each
- 1:27:59Speaker 7: other on. Then let's dry these cars and pick up
- 1:28:01Speaker 7: some speed and let's go. But that's not fruitful. That's
- 1:28:06Speaker 7: not too a benefit of me. It never has been.
- 1:28:10Speaker 7: I've had people help me understand, like when they blog
- 1:28:13Speaker 7: about you. Everybody's on social media some form or fashion
- 1:28:17Speaker 7: or another. No matter how many followers or likes you
- 1:28:19Speaker 7: get on Facebook or something, you're gonna run into some hate.
- 1:28:24Speaker 7: And what I was told being in this position was
- 1:28:28Speaker 7: when bloggers blog about you, it's a blog. If you
- 1:28:31Speaker 7: respond to them, Steve, it's a press conference. Because now
- 1:28:38Speaker 7: you gonna meet this negativity with more negativity. You're gonna
- 1:28:43Speaker 7: you're gonna heighten a much more negative situation. So what
- 1:28:47Speaker 7: Oprah was saying, I wish everybody received it the way
- 1:28:50Speaker 7: I did.
- 1:28:51Speaker 2: It's just light, man. You can't you can't win like that.
- 1:28:56Speaker 2: You've got to be light.
- 1:28:57Speaker 7: I've always wanted to be a person that when you
- 1:28:59Speaker 7: walk into a room, people be glad to see you.
- 1:29:02Speaker 10: You know.
- 1:29:03Speaker 7: I talk to my kids about that all the time too.
- 1:29:05Speaker 7: You know, you want to be the person when they
- 1:29:07Speaker 7: walk in the room everybody go, okay, cool, my mad
- 1:29:10Speaker 7: Oh that's my dude.
- 1:29:11Speaker 2: What's up boy?
- 1:29:13Speaker 7: All of us know someone that walks into a room
- 1:29:17Speaker 7: and they just take that air out the room. Everybody
- 1:29:22Speaker 7: knows somebody like that. Man when they man, y'all be
- 1:29:25Speaker 7: sitting around having a good time. Man, you and your
- 1:29:27Speaker 7: boys or your girls, y'all sitting around. Then there's one
- 1:29:30Speaker 7: person walk in and the whole attitude go. It's like
- 1:29:34Speaker 7: they take the air out the room because they's just darkness. Man,
- 1:29:37Speaker 7: they just darkness. Y'all in there having this light time,
- 1:29:41Speaker 7: and here come this black cloud that's gonna hover over
- 1:29:44Speaker 7: the affair and just start raining on it.
- 1:29:47Speaker 2: I never wanted to be that person.
- 1:29:50Speaker 7: I've always wanted to be a person that when I
- 1:29:52Speaker 7: walk in the room, man that I could make a difference.
- 1:29:55Speaker 7: But I just wanted to be a bright spot on
- 1:29:59Speaker 7: you know, a little more positivity. You can ask God
- 1:30:04Speaker 7: to help make you relevant, and I just I would
- 1:30:08Speaker 7: rather be relative on a positive level than to try
- 1:30:11Speaker 7: to create relativity by dragging other people down. These people
- 1:30:15Speaker 7: who have shows where all they do is talk about people,
- 1:30:18Speaker 7: and they trying to be relevant by talking about people.
- 1:30:21Speaker 7: Or you got haters out there. Who's a whole blog
- 1:30:24Speaker 7: and whole Instagram and whole social media is set up
- 1:30:27Speaker 7: to draw hate so they can draw viewers, so they
- 1:30:30Speaker 7: can monetize it and sell ads.
- 1:30:33Speaker 2: Man, you know that ain't no good money.
- 1:30:36Speaker 7: You know how that's gonna last, because somebody gonna turn
- 1:30:38Speaker 7: around and say something about you, and then somebody gonna
- 1:30:42Speaker 7: stop viewing you. It's much better if you try to
- 1:30:46Speaker 7: make your living in a positive way. It lasts a
- 1:30:48Speaker 7: lot longer. I say this all the time. Hate is louder,
- 1:30:54Speaker 7: but love is stronger youdever, you've noticed that hate is
- 1:30:58Speaker 7: so loud when they got stuff on all these blog sites,
- 1:31:02Speaker 7: they just talking about people. You go, oh, but love
- 1:31:05Speaker 7: is stronger. It's quieter, but it's stronger. And if you
- 1:31:09Speaker 7: just keep loving yourself and keep loving your God, and
- 1:31:13Speaker 7: you keep loving the people back that love you, you
- 1:31:18Speaker 7: can weather the storm. I tell you what's really helpful.
- 1:31:21Speaker 7: It's hard for me though, if you could turn around
- 1:31:24Speaker 7: and just forgive your enemies, whether they ask you for
- 1:31:27Speaker 7: it or not, just forgive them anyway so you can
- 1:31:31Speaker 7: keep moving forward. So you don't get stuck on stupid
- 1:31:35Speaker 7: with them. That'll help you too. That's a hard one.
- 1:31:39Speaker 7: It's hard for me, but that's a good one too.
- 1:31:42Speaker 7: Those are my closing relargs today. That's what I got
- 1:31:47Speaker 7: for it.
