Latest / Life For Toledo / When God Speaks Privately Acts 9:7
Transcript
- 0:00I'm thinking today of Acts 9 -7. This is amongst
- 0:04the story of Saul's conversion to Paul. It says,
- 0:08Acts 9 -7, the men who traveled with him stood
- 0:11speechless, hearing the voice, but seeing no
- 0:15one. Sometimes the conversation between someone
- 0:18and Jesus is or was meant to be for them alone.
- 0:22Here, enough happened that they were sure something
- 0:24happened without knowing exactly what had happened.
- 0:27It left them speechless, but not mute, just perplexed
- 0:31in the point of saying nothing. It's that feeling
- 0:34that should come over kids when the adults are
- 0:38talking and the conversation is inherently significant.
- 0:41The ache, the emotion, and the anticipation of
- 0:44what comes next. They didn't see Jesus, but apparently
- 0:47Paul did. They didn't know what was going on,
- 0:51but from the beginning, Paul asked questions
- 0:54and got answers. These were not saints. None
- 1:00of these people were saints. And this conversation
- 1:02was not among them or about them getting saved.
- 1:06I wonder what would become of them. But for this
- 1:10moment in time, it is significant that they were
- 1:12held without anything to say while Paul was getting
- 1:15direction from the Lord. We're not always going
- 1:18to be privy to someone else's conversation. You
- 1:21listen to what Jesus is saying to you. Make sure
- 1:24it's him, and then follow him. whatever he says.
- 1:28Just a quick reminder, we've now entered Grand
- 1:31Prix season at New Heights Fellowship Baptist
- 1:33Church, and there are Grand Prix workshops scheduled.
- 1:38Reach out. You can text settings to 419 -419

- 1:44group to receive updates on that topic. Thanks
