- 0:54Speaker 1: started own series Love and Marriage Hunt Field entrepreneur. She's
- 0:58Speaker 1: a home builder that this series follows three power couples
- 1:02Speaker 1: longtime friends, I don't know if they're long time friends
- 1:04Speaker 1: no more. Melody and Martel Hope, fire doctor, part a
- 1:09Speaker 1: girl plitician and also that's my friend brother and Kimmy
- 1:13Speaker 1: and Maurice, I don't know Kimmy and my board. More
- 1:15Speaker 1: recent he tried to be a businessman in the Huntsfield
- 1:17Speaker 1: I don't know, and love and Marriage and Husbield. But
- 1:20Speaker 1: she has also hosted one of my favorite shows, behind
- 1:23Speaker 1: every Man, which is also on the own. Please work
- 1:26Speaker 1: in the melody for them about to say her name,
- 1:28Speaker 1: Please work with the money Making Conversations, my friend Melody Hope.
- 1:31Speaker 1: How you doing, Melody? Hey, I'm doing great. How are you?
- 1:35Speaker 1: You know, it's always just a pleasure being able to
- 1:39Speaker 1: be a part of your show. You are so phenomenal,
- 1:42Speaker 1: so inspiring and encouraging. So I'm just very thankful for
- 1:45Speaker 1: the opportunity. Well, you know, it's really interesting about your
- 1:49Speaker 1: whole career and just go track it, you know, like
- 1:52Speaker 1: you came into my life and the first aid of
- 1:54Speaker 1: you I did on Money Making Conversation with you and Martel,
- 1:56Speaker 1: and it was a it was an inspirational interview out
- 2:00Speaker 1: a couple that work their way through high school and
- 2:03Speaker 1: beautiful kids. And then the second time I got you
- 2:06Speaker 1: on the show, used by yourself. And now the third
- 2:09Speaker 1: time I have you on the show. I saw the episode,
- 2:11Speaker 1: the premiere episode of I would after the episode, you're
- 2:19Speaker 1: gonna really be by yourself? After that three episode, you
- 2:21Speaker 1: buy yourself down. You ain't kind of by yourself. You
- 2:24Speaker 1: buy yourself ain't trying to change. Well, I understand because
- 2:31Speaker 1: you know, if you're fans of the show, I'm a
- 2:33Speaker 1: fan of the show, and you brought me into the series,
- 2:34Speaker 1: you know, and my boy Carlos came. He created his
- 2:37Speaker 1: that could produce to the series very talent the ep
- 2:40Speaker 1: of docuseries type dramas. Here's another series on on on
- 2:44Speaker 1: called Bell Collective. But we're talking about love and marriage
- 2:47Speaker 1: Huntsville and the question. You know, this ain't a messy show.
- 2:51Speaker 1: This is a show about watching an entrepreneur, watching a
- 2:55Speaker 1: young lady. I just still consume you very young, an entrepreneur,
- 2:59Speaker 1: minded and almost side. It almost took like a serious
- 3:01Speaker 1: where I got to see you grow as a woman
- 3:05Speaker 1: as a mom, and then the other half of you
- 3:08Speaker 1: do want to see that same growth? Am I correct?
- 3:12Speaker 1: So you know, what I will say is definitely being
- 3:14Speaker 1: a part of UM the Kingdom Raine family and being
- 3:17Speaker 1: a part of Love of Marriage, Huntspill. You know, you're
- 3:20Speaker 1: absolutely correct in terms of the growth that you've seen.
- 3:24Speaker 1: And that's really because you know, as you go through
- 3:26Speaker 1: things in life and you experience certain things, those are
- 3:29Speaker 1: really the things that help shape and mold you to
- 3:31Speaker 1: be who you are and um, who you're supposed to be.
- 3:34Speaker 1: And that's really what my viewers have been able to
- 3:37Speaker 1: witness the past few seasons. UM. Is me really going
- 3:40Speaker 1: through one of life's biggest challenges, UM, when one of
- 3:43Speaker 1: the you know, supposed to be strongest buns UM is
- 3:48Speaker 1: broken and disconnected and what it looks like to maneuver
- 3:52Speaker 1: through those type of waters. And so that is how
- 3:54Speaker 1: you guys have been able to really, you know, as
- 3:56Speaker 1: you say, have seen me grow because you want me
- 4:00Speaker 1: go through, UM, something that a lot of people can't
- 4:04Speaker 1: even go through behind closed doors, and I've had to
- 4:06Speaker 1: live it out loud publicly, so it's been a little
- 4:09Speaker 1: bit different. UM. What I will say, UM, you know
- 4:14Speaker 1: when it comes to u X about my you know
- 4:16Speaker 1: Martel and that supporting that growth, what I will say
- 4:20Speaker 1: is that there was a time in our marriage, in
- 4:23Speaker 1: our life. You know, I'm not gonna sit here and
- 4:24Speaker 1: at like we had a whole bunch of years of
- 4:26Speaker 1: some terrible marriage, because that's just not the case. Um.
- 4:29Speaker 1: We had a beautiful, beautiful union, beautiful time, UM, beautiful
- 4:36Speaker 1: you know, family, children, UM, a real friendship definitely. You know,
- 4:41Speaker 1: we were definitely great friends. And so I was saying
- 4:44Speaker 1: that there was a time when he definitely pushed me
- 4:48Speaker 1: and m motivated me, and really you know stood, you know,
- 4:52Speaker 1: kind of stood with me with some of the things
- 4:54Speaker 1: I wanted to do. UM. But sometimes in life, people
- 4:58Speaker 1: just start kind of going different ways and things change.
- 5:01Speaker 1: I did an interview earlier and I shared with them that,
- 5:04Speaker 1: you know, studies show that people change every five to
- 5:07Speaker 1: seven years, and you know that's just real. No one's
- 5:11Speaker 1: gonna stay the same, you know, I really, um, because
- 5:15Speaker 1: because I care about you a lot. You know, I
- 5:16Speaker 1: have six sisters, so I consider you one of them.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Six uh two and pass away. So I'm asking you
- 5:22Speaker 1: to feel in one of those slots in my life
- 5:24Speaker 1: because I I believe in you. And when I watched
- 5:26Speaker 1: the show, especially premiere episode this season, you know, I
- 5:29Speaker 1: was I was pained a little bit because I could
- 5:32Speaker 1: you know, we're watching you on TV play out some emotions,
- 5:35Speaker 1: especially when Martell talked about he going to the custody
- 5:37Speaker 1: of the children and you really, you really live up
- 5:40Speaker 1: the room because you weren't gonna let this act like
- 5:43Speaker 1: this even sense of a possibility. These are four beautiful
- 5:47Speaker 1: kids that you've delivered to the world. And then all
- 5:50Speaker 1: earlier in the episodes, by the way she showed off
- 5:52Speaker 1: her little body, by the way she showed off her
- 5:54Speaker 1: little body, just embarrassing everybody in the nation. She did
- 5:57Speaker 1: and dropped four kids come around the corners like looking
- 6:00Speaker 1: gin she's like a fresh out of high school body.
- 6:03Speaker 1: So we're gonna talk about that. Let's go back today's emotionally.
- 6:05Speaker 1: I just had to throw that out there and like
- 6:07Speaker 1: step on her because that was unfair. That was unfair. Melandine,
- 6:12Speaker 1: like you have seen a little bit more than I
- 6:14Speaker 1: have seen. Just know that, well, I don't care. I saw.
- 6:17Speaker 1: I said she come out of pol Destiny. She like
- 6:21Speaker 1: just dropped one to destinely, whoa my goodness, girl? Where
- 6:25Speaker 1: you know what? Can I say? It's time for me
- 6:28Speaker 1: to show the where what's going on with melody, Hell, okay,
- 6:33Speaker 1: and then we go forward. You know you're back, and
- 6:35Speaker 1: you know because you was in a land with your
- 6:37Speaker 1: brother hanging out in the back, you know, drinking a
- 6:39Speaker 1: little wine and didn't get your act together for two weeks.
- 6:42Speaker 1: And then now the reality is back. You're in the
- 6:45Speaker 1: house with a man who, let's say, you don't trust,
- 6:49Speaker 1: you need with children that you love that you're born.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Like you said, you're not here to talk about like
- 6:53Speaker 1: this relationship was a bad relationship. But when he says
- 6:57Speaker 1: the possibility that he wants to get full cost of
- 7:01Speaker 1: their kids, you lost it. Yeah, yeah, you know. UM
- 7:06Speaker 1: it's one of those things where I think for most
- 7:09Speaker 1: parents when it comes to your children, that's just that's
- 7:12Speaker 1: one thing you just really don't play about, no matter
- 7:15Speaker 1: who it is, obviously UM. And so we all have
- 7:19Speaker 1: those triggers, certain things that trigger us. And unfortunately a
- 7:22Speaker 1: lot of times people know what your are UM. And
- 7:27Speaker 1: so for me, when it comes to being a you know,
- 7:30Speaker 1: a woman of many hats, being an entrepreneur, being a mom,
- 7:34Speaker 1: being a wife, all of those things, you know, me
- 7:38Speaker 1: being able to um fully engage in all of those
- 7:42Speaker 1: roles was one of the things that was a problem,
- 7:46Speaker 1: um in the marriage, and one of those things that
- 7:48Speaker 1: was somewhat trying. You know, I would say he tried
- 7:51Speaker 1: to use against me at times, um, and that was
- 7:54Speaker 1: when it came to the kids. And so for him
- 7:56Speaker 1: to make a statement like that despite no deep down
- 8:01Speaker 1: that I'm really wearing all these hats very well, like
- 8:04Speaker 1: there's my kids are very well taken care of. We
- 8:07Speaker 1: do vaccaitions, we do chips. They've been out of the country. Hell,
- 8:10Speaker 1: I hadn't even been out of the country when I
- 8:11Speaker 1: was their age. Okay, Um, So it's like, don't play
- 8:15Speaker 1: with me like that and in your show. But but
- 8:19Speaker 1: the series as as I see, because you know, I
- 8:21Speaker 1: can't wait till this the next episode and the next
- 8:23Speaker 1: episode out there, because really it's about watching the I
- 8:27Speaker 1: on this shows about motivation. It's about people overcoming furious
- 8:30Speaker 1: pope of walking in the darkness, walking into that known
- 8:33Speaker 1: and you. And that's why I'm standing on this a
- 8:35Speaker 1: little bit because I want a lot of people to
- 8:37Speaker 1: hear this, because a lot of people don't go to
- 8:39Speaker 1: the next level of life because they fear change, They
- 8:42Speaker 1: fear the unknown, they fear what ilf what if it's
- 8:46Speaker 1: not something I expect and you're doing a courageous thing
- 8:49Speaker 1: with your life because this is not This is bigger
- 8:51Speaker 1: than the television show to me, because it's about you.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Because when the lights go down and cut off, you
- 8:57Speaker 1: really live in the life that we're just getting little
- 8:59Speaker 1: bits and pieces. Is all. With that being said, what's
- 9:02Speaker 1: the next path for Melody? What's the next what now?
- 9:05Speaker 1: Path for you? In career? Playing in because you know
- 9:08Speaker 1: I call you sometimes you said, we show I got
- 9:09Speaker 1: people in l A, I got people in Huntsville. I
- 9:12Speaker 1: got a team around you because you know, I'll be
- 9:14Speaker 1: talking to Union every time I talk to you. Know,
- 9:16Speaker 1: it's more advancement in the in the various business ventures,
- 9:20Speaker 1: more opportunity that you want to engage in, and you
- 9:23Speaker 1: surround yourself with a much stronger team that allows you
- 9:26Speaker 1: to win. So talk about that. And you know what,
- 9:29Speaker 1: it's so funny that you mentioned a team and just
- 9:32Speaker 1: you know, the people that you have around you. I
- 9:34Speaker 1: feel like, you know, you can't do anything alone in
- 9:37Speaker 1: life period. You've got to have a team, a team
- 9:41Speaker 1: who believes in you, that supports you, um that pushes
- 9:45Speaker 1: you even on the days when you barely can push yourself.
- 9:48Speaker 1: And I'm so thankful and blessed that I have been surrounded. Um,
- 9:52Speaker 1: you know, God just placed the right people in my
- 9:54Speaker 1: life at the right time. You know. I can speak
- 9:57Speaker 1: all the way you know to my management team. As
- 9:59Speaker 1: you said, you I have, you know, a team in
- 10:01Speaker 1: l A. I have a team in Atlanta. Um. And
- 10:03Speaker 1: when I look at the time that they came into
- 10:06Speaker 1: my life, and they're older than me. And that's another thing.
- 10:10Speaker 1: It's kind of crazy because it's like, I'm thirty five,
- 10:12Speaker 1: but God has surrounded me with people who are older
- 10:15Speaker 1: than me and who have so much wisdom, you know,
- 10:17Speaker 1: and that wisdom comes from their own life experiences. So
- 10:22Speaker 1: when I hear their stories of things they've experienced and
- 10:25Speaker 1: that they went through early on in life and what
- 10:27Speaker 1: I'm going through right now, I know that it was
- 10:29Speaker 1: a divine connection and meant for them to be in
- 10:32Speaker 1: my life. And so, um, you know, we're we're always
- 10:35Speaker 1: working on things. And I hope that's what people also.
- 10:38Speaker 1: You know, of course all reality show you have a
- 10:39Speaker 1: little bit of drama. But I hope that people really
- 10:42Speaker 1: get to uh tune in and pick up and understand
- 10:45Speaker 1: and see that, you know, the sky really, you know,
- 10:48Speaker 1: is the limit. It doesn't matter what what you go through,
- 10:51Speaker 1: what you experienced. I wake up every day and I
- 10:53Speaker 1: put a smile on my face and I'm hey, good morning,
- 10:56Speaker 1: how are you. Positive affirmations all period um. And from
- 11:02Speaker 1: there it has just really allowed us to move into
- 11:05Speaker 1: some different areas. I have music that I'm working on.
- 11:08Speaker 1: I can't wait. I've teased my fans a little bit
- 11:11Speaker 1: um with my song by dropping it on social media
- 11:14Speaker 1: pieces here and there. UM. So I have music I'm
- 11:17Speaker 1: working on. I'm actually about to go in the student
- 11:18Speaker 1: and record the second song because I'm done with the
- 11:21Speaker 1: first one. Um. And then of course also I have
- 11:23Speaker 1: my acting career um that I'm working on as well.
- 11:26Speaker 1: I actually just finished doing some acting stuff. I've been
- 11:29Speaker 1: in Atlanta doing a movie um the past week. So
- 11:33Speaker 1: just moving, shaking and trying to fully um being the
- 11:37Speaker 1: purpose and my God given purpose. Because life is so short.
- 11:41Speaker 1: You have to wake up every day. You have to
- 11:43Speaker 1: make it count. You have to make every hour, every
- 11:46Speaker 1: minute and every secle don't you ever, Because even in
- 11:50Speaker 1: this series, I gotta mad at you because you know
- 11:52Speaker 1: I'm based in the lat He was in the lab
- 11:54Speaker 1: for two weeks, Okay, then in the interview right back
- 11:57Speaker 1: where I just got back from l A. I mean
- 11:59Speaker 1: for Atlanta. You know, I just got that from no call,
- 12:03Speaker 1: no text, because you know, no no something something that
- 12:08Speaker 1: no no, no, no, no up whatever. She had d
- 12:15Speaker 1: hear me in a minute, Hey, Richelle, how you doing well?
- 12:18Speaker 1: This is one thing I love about her. And I
- 12:20Speaker 1: responded back to her, I said, look, she would recommend
- 12:23Speaker 1: people to be on my show. I mean and uh,
- 12:26Speaker 1: and she's supportive. That's not I laugh at her in
- 12:29Speaker 1: a good way. It's not a bad lad because here
- 12:32Speaker 1: she is. You know, she's out there trying to make
- 12:34Speaker 1: her career work. She's trying to be a good person
- 12:37Speaker 1: because she is a good person. But she will not
- 12:40Speaker 1: hesitate connecting somebody for an opportunity, and that's a quality there.
- 12:44Speaker 1: When you said, Richard, why do you like Meloday Hope?
- 12:46Speaker 1: Why do you Why are you always champion her? Because
- 12:49Speaker 1: she's so busy champion other people. She's not about to
- 12:54Speaker 1: a lot of people in competition because it is competition.
- 12:56Speaker 1: They fear I ain't gonna learn nobody get my hookop.
- 12:59Speaker 1: I'm not gonna anybody get my connection. And that's not
- 13:02Speaker 1: you talk to us about their personality at all. You know.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Let me tell you so, I am big on making connections.
- 13:10Speaker 1: I will be honest, I'm that person who and I'm
- 13:13Speaker 1: not gonna be like, oh, i've seen you the number.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Later if we're having a conversation and I know someone
- 13:18Speaker 1: who can maybe help catapults you to the next level,
- 13:21Speaker 1: take you to the next level in your life or
- 13:23Speaker 1: goals career wise, whatever it is, Oh, I'm gonna be like, Okay,
- 13:26Speaker 1: I'm testing. I'm sending you the number right now. You
- 13:29Speaker 1: want to call him right now? Like, That's what I
- 13:32Speaker 1: love and I love to do that. That's just a
- 13:34Speaker 1: genuine part of me, um, because I feel that you
- 13:38Speaker 1: never know what someone else can do, whether it's a
- 13:42Speaker 1: simple word, whether it's you know, a simple connection that
- 13:46Speaker 1: can just really change someone's entire life. And I have
- 13:51Speaker 1: to believe that, Um, through that goodness of my heart
- 13:55Speaker 1: and purity of all of my intentions, that that is
- 13:58Speaker 1: why God has continue to bless me, and he has
- 14:01Speaker 1: continued to look over me and put me, you know,
- 14:04Speaker 1: in the paths of the right people, because I'm always
- 14:07Speaker 1: looking to find a way to bring people together on
- 14:10Speaker 1: the same path. You know, there's enough out here for everyone,
- 14:13Speaker 1: and if we stop being so selfish and we become
- 14:17Speaker 1: more self less. Man, let me tell you, we learn
- 14:21Speaker 1: how to come together, and I will say it's always easy,
- 14:25Speaker 1: because it's not. But if we can learn how to
- 14:28Speaker 1: come together, there's just so much that we can do.
- 14:31Speaker 1: So Yes, I love connecting you. It's finally here, the
- 14:35Speaker 1: season of celebration. And no matter how you celebrate with

- 16:42Speaker 1: expansive on the show. You know, we see more on

- 16:54Speaker 1: this season give us a little sneak preview of what's
- 16:56Speaker 1: coming up on this season because of the fact that
- 16:59Speaker 1: uh My, but I tell people to watch the show
- 17:02Speaker 1: because I'm a fan of love and marriage. Huntsville is
- 17:05Speaker 1: because their individuals, who are black individuals in in a
- 17:09Speaker 1: town like Huntsville, they have big city problems and that's
- 17:15Speaker 1: the fun. I think all the couples, in some shape,
- 17:18Speaker 1: form or fashion, UM bring a great dynamic to the show.
- 17:22Speaker 1: And I feel that, you know, um, this season, you
- 17:27Speaker 1: guys are going to be able to see more business
- 17:30Speaker 1: moves taking place, which is something I'm very proud of
- 17:32Speaker 1: because you know, I don't think anyone goes into rally
- 17:35Speaker 1: reality TV hoping that there will be drama. It's just
- 17:38Speaker 1: kind of one of those things that that can end
- 17:40Speaker 1: up happening because life and you know, so when you
- 17:43Speaker 1: imagine being put in situations where maybe you would have
- 17:47Speaker 1: avoided that person for another month or two because you
- 17:49Speaker 1: know you kind of ain't feeling them right now, then
- 17:51Speaker 1: you see them instead in a day, so sometimes those
- 17:54Speaker 1: emotions may still be up. So you know that just
- 17:57Speaker 1: that's the piece that brings the drama in. But I'm
- 18:00Speaker 1: looking forward to our audience really seeing, um, you know,
- 18:04Speaker 1: especially with the climate of the economy and where we
- 18:07Speaker 1: are as a culture, as people, where we are as
- 18:10Speaker 1: a country right now, it was important to show unity
- 18:15Speaker 1: and how despite differences, despite um, you know, difficulties within
- 18:22Speaker 1: the friendships or the relationships, at some point in time,
- 18:26Speaker 1: you guys are going to see, you know, some of
- 18:28Speaker 1: us come together and be able to do some great
- 18:31Speaker 1: things and and actually be able to be in the
- 18:33Speaker 1: same room pushing for a positive purpose or a positive cause.
- 18:37Speaker 1: You're gonna see businesses, you know, excelling and growing in
- 18:41Speaker 1: you know, individuals figuring out different paths of entrepreneurship. Um.
- 18:46Speaker 1: And so those are the things that I'm really looking
- 18:49Speaker 1: forward to being displayed and showing to see it and
- 18:52Speaker 1: showing a lot the great thing about it. Now, your masterclass,
- 18:56Speaker 1: which I saw kind of like boring out of COVID.
- 18:59Speaker 1: COVIDW TEENA create a lot of creative approaches to us
- 19:03Speaker 1: tell about the master classes. So HP a Hold Preservation Academy. Um,
- 19:10Speaker 1: that is my baby. Matter of fact, I have a
- 19:12Speaker 1: class tonight. So UM, what I do is I've had
- 19:15Speaker 1: the UM. You know, I just say it's a complete
- 19:18Speaker 1: blessing then opportunity to actually now it's about a hundred
- 19:22Speaker 1: and eighties since June, about a hundred and eighty individuals. Um,
- 19:27Speaker 1: I've been able to help them become entrepreneurs and start
- 19:29Speaker 1: businesses in property preservation, which is a multibillion dollar industry
- 19:34Speaker 1: that has been a white male dominated industry for a
- 19:37Speaker 1: very long time. Most of my students, however, have been
- 19:41Speaker 1: African American women. And so what I have been doing is,
- 19:45Speaker 1: you know, having um weekly meetings with them, one on
- 19:49Speaker 1: one cost with them, helping them set up their LLCs,
- 19:52Speaker 1: their business checking, teaching them the game about this industry,
- 19:55Speaker 1: and helping them get contracts. Meaning when they get contracts,
- 20:00Speaker 1: they start receiving work from the banks and they get
- 20:02Speaker 1: paid um as they complete those work orders and so um.
- 20:07Speaker 1: I you know, it was, like you said, born out
- 20:09Speaker 1: of covid um. My first class started in June of
- 20:14Speaker 1: and it has been phenomenal, phenomenal. I'm very thankful to
- 20:19Speaker 1: God for you know, for that whole avenue being opened
- 20:22Speaker 1: for me. We know when God gave you his ability
- 20:25Speaker 1: to talk, because you've ben talk. That's why you to me.
- 20:27Speaker 1: You know you always teach you about that, you know,
- 20:29Speaker 1: you just you don't know, man, melody, we'll be talking
- 20:32Speaker 1: to me. We'll be talking in that little direct DM
- 20:34Speaker 1: and all that girl give me your number till all
- 20:37Speaker 1: this a DM and back because just DM me like
- 20:40Speaker 1: texting her. So though that you say that because earlier,
- 20:45Speaker 1: like I said, I did an interview earlier today and
- 20:47Speaker 1: they said to me, they said, oh yeah, your manager said,
- 20:50Speaker 1: we're gonna enjoy our interview. We all enjoy because you
- 20:53Speaker 1: love the talk. I said, oh, I sound like she
- 20:56Speaker 1: tried to throw a little side jam up in there.
- 20:58Speaker 1: I'm gonna make sure I called on when we get done.
- 21:01Speaker 1: Now here you go, and that that that's why I
- 21:09Speaker 1: love talking to you, because you know, there's a journey
- 21:12Speaker 1: and I will never ever stop you from your dreams.
- 21:16Speaker 1: I will always encourage you, I always will support you,
- 21:18Speaker 1: I always will push you to the next low because
- 21:21Speaker 1: I know there are only greater opportunities. You're at the
- 21:24Speaker 1: right age and start discovering yourself and pushing those dreams.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Because a lot of people wait till they farty fifty,
- 21:29Speaker 1: or I'll wait to my kids graduate, or I'll wait
- 21:31Speaker 1: till I wait to get out of college. All that weight,
- 21:34Speaker 1: all that weight, all that weight, and that's not your DNA.
- 21:36Speaker 1: And that's what I love about talking to you, and
- 21:39Speaker 1: I encourage people who listen to these shows. When you
- 21:41Speaker 1: when I get a person on the air, like you,
- 21:44Speaker 1: listen to what she's saying. Listen, you know there are
- 21:46Speaker 1: setbacks in her in her life there and she don't
- 21:49Speaker 1: let that. Become a champion talk about that, you know,
- 21:54Speaker 1: I will say that. You know, So I got married
- 21:57Speaker 1: when I was twenty two, and you have this whole
- 22:00Speaker 1: old thing planned out of what you think your life
- 22:02Speaker 1: will be. I don't think anyone gets married um expecting
- 22:05Speaker 1: or hoping for a divorce to happen. You think that
- 22:08Speaker 1: that's your forever, and you think that that is how
- 22:11Speaker 1: your life will be. And so For me, I went
- 22:13Speaker 1: from feeling like I had everything together. I had these
- 22:18Speaker 1: beautiful children, I had anything I wanted to get. I
- 22:21Speaker 1: could go get when I wanted to. You know, I
- 22:24Speaker 1: had my husband, We had these businesses. You know, we're
- 22:28Speaker 1: we're being able to travel and go whenever we want to,
- 22:31Speaker 1: and then boom, just like that, there's a change. And
- 22:37Speaker 1: so at first, you know, of course, you you know,
- 22:41Speaker 1: the heartbreak and the disappointment and the tears and the
- 22:45Speaker 1: depression and all of those things that come with um,
- 22:48Speaker 1: you know, something as major's infidelity hitting your marriage. I
- 22:52Speaker 1: went through all of that, and UM, I went through
- 22:56Speaker 1: a lot of different layers of it. So UM for me,
- 23:01Speaker 1: you know, going through those things and experiencing such a
- 23:05Speaker 1: big change in life. And then I didn't know that
- 23:07Speaker 1: I was gonna have to play it out on national television.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Even so, that was another thing, you know what I'm saying.
- 23:14Speaker 1: When we started filming the first season, UM, I had
- 23:19Speaker 1: just recently found out about, you know, what had been occurring. However,
- 23:24Speaker 1: I thought everything was done over and we were good.
- 23:27Speaker 1: Well right when we started shooting, I find out, oh,
- 23:30Speaker 1: it ain't done and over we ain't good. So that's
- 23:33Speaker 1: when people got you know what I'm saying, kind of
- 23:35Speaker 1: got all the other um, and so all the other
- 23:39Speaker 1: emotions and other sides of melody, the angry side. Um.
- 23:42Speaker 1: But you know, I didn't expect that that was something
- 23:45Speaker 1: that was gonna be played out on TV. I didn't
- 23:47Speaker 1: think that was gonna be continue to be a part
- 23:49Speaker 1: of my life story, my marriage story. UM. And so
- 23:53Speaker 1: now here I am, you know, going through a divorce
- 23:56Speaker 1: with four children, um and trying to make sure that
- 24:00Speaker 1: I'm taking care of me and keeping myself together, but
- 24:02Speaker 1: then also making sure that I'm you know, there for
- 24:05Speaker 1: my kids and helping them to keep it together too. Um.
- 24:08Speaker 1: And at the same time, still refusing to allow the
- 24:11Speaker 1: choices of someone else to affect my purpose and the
- 24:17Speaker 1: goals that I have set for myself. So it's a lot.
- 24:21Speaker 1: It's a lot, and it's a lot of moving pieces.
- 24:24Speaker 1: But let me tell you, I just get up every
- 24:26Speaker 1: single day and I start moving those pieces absolutely. You know,
- 24:32Speaker 1: on Saturday night you can see her series. All right,
- 24:36Speaker 1: I'm gonna call it your series Loving Marriage Hunt Fell.
- 24:38Speaker 1: That's That's why I watch. I'm just doing on Saturday.
- 24:42Speaker 1: I'm not just watching everyboun show. I watched a girl Melody. Now,
- 24:46Speaker 1: guess what it's gonna be this Saturday. Gonna be back
- 24:49Speaker 1: to back melody, Hope melody, Hope, hid to night. That's
- 24:54Speaker 1: what we're gonna up to our block. Behind every Man,
- 24:59Speaker 1: I'm just later everybody know she Carlos King makes me mad? Now?
- 25:02Speaker 1: This is this series? Right? Is this car? She got me?
- 25:05Speaker 1: He got me mad? See because see I watched this
- 25:08Speaker 1: series that you're hosting, and I'm mad. I'm going to
- 25:11Speaker 1: like he thought of this song because it's such a
- 25:15Speaker 1: beautiful series, because I got six sisters. So why did
- 25:19Speaker 1: I think of this? Because you know you have you
- 25:21Speaker 1: have more Kurt Franklin and his wife Tammy on the show.
- 25:24Speaker 1: You have the wife of white Cliff John on the show.
- 25:28Speaker 1: You have the wife. I didn't even know that uh
- 25:32Speaker 1: Neil was married. Seriously, I didn't know he was married.
- 25:35Speaker 1: And that the only he's on He's on the show,
- 25:38Speaker 1: and it's it's like DJ Envy and his wife, but
- 25:42Speaker 1: it's the wife's who are the stars of the show.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Behind every Man? How did you become a part of
- 25:48Speaker 1: this series? And I'm just about one thing I'm gonna
- 25:50Speaker 1: tell you the truth about this is an engaging series.
- 25:54Speaker 1: Well done. The women, you get a personal journey about them.
- 26:00Speaker 1: It's not as serious that if they're trying to hook
- 26:02Speaker 1: you in with a famous husband. No, no, no, it's
- 26:05Speaker 1: about these women. How they have survived physical drama, sometimes abuse, sometimes,
- 26:12Speaker 1: near life death experiences sometimes and each one of them
- 26:15Speaker 1: have survived and they've coming to the lives of these
- 26:19Speaker 1: famous men helped them to be successful along the way,
- 26:23Speaker 1: and they have sustained longevity in their marriage and blossom
- 26:27Speaker 1: to a loving relationship. How did you give a volva
- 26:30Speaker 1: Behind every Man? Well, you know that's why it's so important, um,
- 26:35Speaker 1: to speak out loud your goals and your dreams and
- 26:38Speaker 1: speak those things into existence. UM. And so you know,
- 26:42Speaker 1: I shared with Carlos a long time ago, you know,
- 26:45Speaker 1: my goals in terms of hosting and acting and things
- 26:47Speaker 1: like that. And so when the when the opportunity came,
- 26:51Speaker 1: and you know, he was awarded the opportunity to do
- 26:53Speaker 1: Behind every Man, you know, he reached out to me.
- 26:56Speaker 1: He said, hey, so guess what, And I'm like what
- 27:00Speaker 1: And he was like, We're gonna do another show. This
- 27:02Speaker 1: is what's gonna call and we want you to host.
- 27:05Speaker 1: I'm like, what, really are you serious, and so you know,
- 27:09Speaker 1: it went from there and um it was another again,
- 27:13Speaker 1: something filmed during the pandemic, so of course we had
- 27:16Speaker 1: different parameters. Of course, we would have loved to have
- 27:18Speaker 1: had it where you know, I could have flown into
- 27:21Speaker 1: different places and actually sat down in person with these individuals,
- 27:25Speaker 1: but we've got to be safe. So we still made
- 27:27Speaker 1: it happen and made it, you know, made it work. Um,
- 27:30Speaker 1: and for me, when he called me that day, I'll
- 27:33Speaker 1: never forget. And he had his other producer, Angela on
- 27:38Speaker 1: the phone as well. I teared up when he shared
- 27:42Speaker 1: with me what Behind every Man would be about. And
- 27:45Speaker 1: here's why. Um, you know, I'm big on women empowerment.
- 27:50Speaker 1: I'm big on strong women and women, you know, just
- 27:55Speaker 1: being coming together and really pushing one another and being
- 27:59Speaker 1: able to be then tick and transparent and share your journey,
- 28:04Speaker 1: share those you know, we love the glamour, we love
- 28:07Speaker 1: the show off, the Rose Royce, the Lamborghinis and all
- 28:10Speaker 1: this thing. However, right, being able to show the times
- 28:14Speaker 1: that weren't so good and talk about that, which is
- 28:17Speaker 1: what really helped you move to the next level. I
- 28:20Speaker 1: love when people can be transparent. I think that's the
- 28:23Speaker 1: reason that a lot of people connect with me on
- 28:25Speaker 1: love and marriage Himesville. So when he shared that with
- 28:28Speaker 1: me and I heard what it would be about, I
- 28:30Speaker 1: just literally teared up. I said, wow, Wow. It was
- 28:34Speaker 1: just something within me. And I'm big on intuition and
- 28:39Speaker 1: being led by the spirit, and there was just something
- 28:41Speaker 1: within me that was like, Yes, this right here is
- 28:45Speaker 1: God sent for you. The experiencing what I was experiencing
- 28:51Speaker 1: in my marriage and knowing that, you know, it wasn't
- 28:53Speaker 1: going to be too much longer before it wasn't you know,
- 28:56Speaker 1: I wasn't married anymore. It wasn't about that. It was
- 28:59Speaker 1: about what I love to do, shine a light on
- 29:03Speaker 1: other women, like you know I do my Mamoss with
- 29:05Speaker 1: Melody event Um, I always award women Women on Woman
- 29:09Speaker 1: on Purpose, award, Um still I Thrive Woman of the
- 29:13Speaker 1: Year and all these different things. And so any way
- 29:15Speaker 1: that I can, um just really shine a light on
- 29:19Speaker 1: women who are doing some amazing things, That's what I
- 29:21Speaker 1: love to do. And so this was just I mean,
- 29:23Speaker 1: this was perfect and it was truly an amazing experience. Well,
- 29:29Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you, I'm a fan. I get to
- 29:31Speaker 1: see you back to back, the back to back to back.
- 29:34Speaker 1: I know that, Melanie. I want to I wanna. I
- 29:37Speaker 1: want to back the back the back Melanie whole Saturday
- 29:42Speaker 1: on Network because you're gonna do it. You're gonna do it,
- 29:45Speaker 1: because we all over here. Oh there you go, there
- 29:49Speaker 1: you go. The thing about it is that I'm so
- 29:51Speaker 1: proud of you, and uh, I watched this journey, you
- 29:54Speaker 1: know when I said that I'm sincere, and I know
- 29:56Speaker 1: you do a lot of interviews and watching you grow
- 29:59Speaker 1: and like and so I've seen this journey play out.
- 30:01Speaker 1: And when you come on my show, we can have
- 30:03Speaker 1: honest conversations. And the only thing only negative in your
- 30:06Speaker 1: little book is you come to Atlanta and you don't
- 30:09Speaker 1: come see your board. Okay, because I bought a new building.
- 30:11Speaker 1: That happen again. I bought a little bit. I gotta
- 30:14Speaker 1: show y'all. I gotta, I gotta, I gotta you gotta
- 30:16Speaker 1: take a picture by my new business sign all that stuff.
- 30:18Speaker 1: I gotta. I gotta get some of your shine on
- 30:20Speaker 1: my building. Okay, let's do it. Let's do it absolutely well.
- 30:25Speaker 1: I will to hold you but again, thank you again again.
- 30:29Speaker 1: You know, any time your flyer come out, I gotta
- 30:32Speaker 1: promote you. This weekend and uh, you know your Siroty
- 30:34Speaker 1: remember and all that good stuff, and uh, girl, you know,
- 30:37Speaker 1: keep winning and keep I got your support and your brother.
- 30:41Speaker 1: You can tell your brother to call me with a
- 30:42Speaker 1: little time behind here in Atlanta as himself. You know,
- 30:46Speaker 1: he got nothing to do, absolutely so that would be great,
- 30:49Speaker 1: you know. And I love you already know. I love you.
- 30:51Speaker 1: Thank you for you know, you're always opening your doors
- 30:54Speaker 1: and opening you know, but just being welcoming with me
- 30:56Speaker 1: coming in on the show. I appreciate that so much.
- 30:59Speaker 1: It's kind of like like you said, sometimes they're just
- 31:01Speaker 1: those God given connections. And I feel like from the
- 31:04Speaker 1: first interview, we've just always You've been what you're saying
- 31:07Speaker 1: that you are. You've been encouraging. UM. You let me
- 31:10Speaker 1: know multiple times that I have your support, and I
- 31:13Speaker 1: really appreciate that, UM, and I love you know. We
- 31:17Speaker 1: have to pull strength from one another, especially when we're
- 31:21Speaker 1: going through different, you know, difficult times. It's so important
- 31:23Speaker 1: for us to pull strength from one another. And you,
- 31:28Speaker 1: my fans, the viewers of Love and Marriage Huntsville, everyone
- 31:32Speaker 1: has been my family, my management team, everyone has just
- 31:35Speaker 1: been so amazing and I know I wouldn't be where
