- 1:55Speaker 2: Come come out, you think I sure will.
- 2:04Speaker 6: Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on,
- 2:07Speaker 6: dig me now. One and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:11Speaker 6: radio show.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Man o man, oh man. Wow.
- 2:16Speaker 6: I think about all the things God has done for
- 2:19Speaker 6: me is overwhelming at times, and I want everybody to
- 2:24Speaker 6: have that feeling and to sharing that feeling of completion
- 2:27Speaker 6: and satisfaction. And the only reason I got this, and
- 2:31Speaker 6: it's the thousandth time I've said it, is because I
- 2:34Speaker 6: formed a relationship with my creator.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Period.
- 2:37Speaker 6: That's it. That's that's it. I can't tell you as
- 2:41Speaker 6: anything else else. You know, I've always had a strong
- 2:44Speaker 6: work ethic. My father put that in me. My father's
- 2:47Speaker 6: conversation with me growing up was always constantly about work hard,
- 2:52Speaker 6: don't be lazy, be a man, do what you say
- 2:54Speaker 6: you're gonna do. YadA, YadA, YadA, YadA, YadA. Man, I
- 2:57Speaker 6: was so tired of my father At times, I was going, Man,
- 3:00Speaker 6: what is with this dude right here? Man, every time
- 3:03Speaker 6: we have a conversation, it's got to be about work.
- 3:05Speaker 6: It's got to be about, you know, man, doing your best,
- 3:09Speaker 6: trying hard, you know, working and being honest, do what
- 3:13Speaker 6: you say you're gonna do. But that was his mission.
- 3:17Speaker 6: I can't tell you how much I appreciate that now.
- 3:20Speaker 6: I can't even I can't even put it into words
- 3:23Speaker 6: when I think about my old man and what he
- 3:26Speaker 6: was to me, and I just, man, I'm so grateful
- 3:31Speaker 6: for that balance I had in my life.
- 3:33Speaker 2: And then my father was a fighter. He fought on
- 3:37Speaker 2: the weekends. You know.
- 3:40Speaker 6: My father used to come home with his with his
- 3:42Speaker 6: clothes toe off of him. He put a fresh shirt
- 3:45Speaker 6: on and he go back. My mom used to talk
- 3:48Speaker 6: about my father fighting all the time, slick, while you
- 3:50Speaker 6: are always fighting. You know a little bit of that
- 3:53Speaker 6: rubbed off on me too, you know that that kind
- 3:56Speaker 6: of got into me. And I didn't understand that either.
- 3:59Speaker 6: But then understan same term, my mother was a Sunday
- 4:01Speaker 6: school teacher for forty years, so her conversation was never
- 4:05Speaker 6: about fighting or anything. It was all about love and
- 4:07Speaker 6: understanding and doing another that you would add and do
- 4:10Speaker 6: unto you. My mom was a Sunday school teacher, so
- 4:13Speaker 6: I learned about faith. I had to go to Sunday school,
- 4:16Speaker 6: prayer meeting, Bible study, young people meeting, choir rehearsal. You know,
- 4:20Speaker 6: I was a church man so much. I was actually
- 4:23Speaker 6: looking as there's got to be an alternative to this,
- 4:26Speaker 6: you know, I want, you know, and I was a
- 4:28Speaker 6: little kid even I was thinking at one point, maybe
- 4:31Speaker 6: I ought to look into Hell because there's got to
- 4:33Speaker 6: be something cooler than this going on every day. It
- 4:36Speaker 6: had got that crazy for me. But the balance between
- 4:39Speaker 6: those two people created who I am today. And I
- 4:43Speaker 6: want you to understand that the things that you are
- 4:46Speaker 6: in your past have helped create who you are today.
- 4:49Speaker 6: If you view it the right way, everything that has
- 4:54Speaker 6: happened to you in your past has happened to you
- 4:57Speaker 6: for a reason, and it's you for the good if
- 5:01Speaker 6: you view it that way. But if you, on the
- 5:06Speaker 6: other hand, or a type of person who can't move
- 5:09Speaker 6: forward because you are allowing your past to stop you
- 5:13Speaker 6: from having your future, then you, my friend, are doing
- 5:18Speaker 6: a disservice to your life. You are not honoring God's blessings.
- 5:24Speaker 6: You are not taking advantage of the gain, knowledge, wisdom,
- 5:28Speaker 6: and experience of your life. Example, if you are a
- 5:34Speaker 6: woman and you are always talking about a former relationship,
- 5:42Speaker 6: what he did to me. If he had not did
- 5:45Speaker 6: this to me, I wouldn't be in this place today.
- 5:50Speaker 6: I thought I had a man. Now I ain't got
- 5:53Speaker 6: no man. Ah lah lah lah la lah. If I
- 5:58Speaker 6: you know, he came along that I was doing just swell,
- 6:02Speaker 6: he just came in and he just lied to me.
- 6:05Speaker 6: He lied to me, nod. He did this to me,
- 6:08Speaker 6: then he cheated, then he left. All of that that
- 6:12Speaker 6: you're saying can very well be true. Have you thought
- 6:17Speaker 6: that maybe maybe somewhere in God's infinite wisdom, that he
- 6:25Speaker 6: knew that you had made a mistake in picking him anyway?
- 6:32Speaker 6: Maybe he knew you had made a mistake in saying
- 6:35Speaker 6: yes or I do to him anyway, or come on,
- 6:39Speaker 6: move in?
- 6:42Speaker 2: And so what he did was.
- 6:45Speaker 6: Based on your decision now to say yes, I do,
- 6:49Speaker 6: or come on, let's move in together. That was your decision.
- 6:52Speaker 6: You ain't go to him about this one. You made
- 6:55Speaker 6: this decision based on that decision, and all the negative
- 6:59Speaker 6: things that started happening. He allowed you to get away
- 7:03Speaker 6: from it. Now how you got away from it, It's
- 7:06Speaker 6: always not the choice of ours. See, you stuck on
- 7:11Speaker 6: the fact that he left, that he walked out. But
- 7:14Speaker 6: let me share this with you. When he was there,
- 7:17Speaker 6: How good was he to you? How good was he
- 7:20Speaker 6: for you? See, you got to stare at you got
- 7:24Speaker 6: to look at the blessing. The blessing is. Now you
- 7:28Speaker 6: are on your own. Now you walk in your house.
- 7:31Speaker 6: Ain't nobody in there with a disruptive spirit.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Now you go home. You could take your clothes off,
- 7:37Speaker 2: walk around like you want to.
- 7:39Speaker 6: Now you go home, you can sit down and look
- 7:42Speaker 6: at TV or catch your breath if you want to.
- 7:47Speaker 6: Your kids don't have to see y'all arguing all the time.
- 7:51Speaker 6: Have you looked at the blessing in it? But now
- 7:54Speaker 6: if you gonna keep looking at the negative, then guess what.
- 7:58Speaker 6: Now you can't move forward because you keep allowing your
- 8:03Speaker 6: past to keep you from moving forward. If God has
- 8:07Speaker 6: brought you through it, why don't you move on from it? Look,
- 8:12Speaker 6: you got through it, He gone, he ain't coming back.
- 8:15Speaker 6: He got somebody else. So you gonna sit there and
- 8:18Speaker 6: just keep tripping couts. He gone and he got somebody else. Hey,
- 8:23Speaker 6: pick yourself up. Thank God for the blessing. It didn't
- 8:27Speaker 6: feel like a blessing. Why you was going through it,
- 8:29Speaker 6: and all the pain of him leaving and the divorce
- 8:32Speaker 6: and all that messed you up? Got it when you
- 8:35Speaker 6: get through it, all of that. You ain't the first
- 8:37Speaker 6: one being left. You ain't the first one being divorced.
- 8:41Speaker 6: You ain't the first one been in a bad relationship.
- 8:43Speaker 6: Pick yourself up, thank God for the blessing, and move
- 8:48Speaker 6: forward in your life, because maybe when you quit complaining,
- 8:53Speaker 6: maybe you'll find out that God has something in store
- 8:57Speaker 6: for you that he wants you to have, but he
- 8:59Speaker 6: can't give it to you if you ain't grateful. So
- 9:02Speaker 6: God gives you a blessing, but because you don't see
- 9:05Speaker 6: it as a blessing, you ain't grateful for it. Now,
- 9:08Speaker 6: guess what, You steady asking God to do something for you,
- 9:12Speaker 6: but you ain't thanking him for what he's done for you,
- 9:15Speaker 6: but you steady wanting him.
- 9:16Speaker 2: To do more. How does that work? How does that work?
- 9:20Speaker 7: Man?
- 9:21Speaker 6: That he should keep on giving you things when you
- 9:23Speaker 6: ain't even working with the stuff he done gave you,
- 9:27Speaker 6: and I don't know. And I'm just using that one example.
- 9:30Speaker 6: It could go for me and too, vice versa, and
- 9:33Speaker 6: so on and so forth. I'm just using that as
- 9:35Speaker 6: an example. Now, why I laid on that one so long?
- 9:39Speaker 6: You have to take that over God, That's all, just sweet.
- 9:42Speaker 6: I ain't pointing fingers at nobody in nothing, because I've
- 9:45Speaker 6: been guilty on both sides of the coin.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Who am I?
- 9:49Speaker 6: But I'm just sharing with you what I had to do.
- 9:52Speaker 6: I had to learn to stop allowing my past to
- 9:55Speaker 6: interfere with my future.
- 9:59Speaker 8: Mone ladies and.
- 10:02Speaker 6: Gentlemen, it's time. It's time for the beginning of a
- 10:06Speaker 6: new day. It's already here.
- 10:09Speaker 9: Man.
- 10:09Speaker 2: How good is God? I just really, man, really seriously, y'all.
- 10:14Speaker 6: I mean, just take a moment out of your day
- 10:18Speaker 6: and just realize, Man, what a blessing it is to
- 10:20Speaker 6: be here.
- 10:21Speaker 10: Man.
- 10:22Speaker 6: I know everybody out there has lost somebody important to it.
- 10:26Speaker 6: I know you have, But man on, man on, man,
- 10:30Speaker 6: ain't it still good that you still here.
- 10:34Speaker 2: I miss a lot of people.
- 10:36Speaker 6: I don't want to go where they at right now.
- 10:39Speaker 6: I really don't now in later on, man, when I'm
- 10:42Speaker 6: one hundred and four I'll be ready.
- 10:44Speaker 2: I'm going in. But until the end, I'm just grateful. Man.
- 10:49Speaker 2: Whoop ever so grateful Steve Harren Morning Show Man, join
- 10:53Speaker 2: in winners with that gratitude. If you start with gratitude,
- 10:57Speaker 2: it affects your attitude, which is in direct call to
- 11:00Speaker 2: your altitude.
- 11:01Speaker 6: I'm just trying to tell you, man, I expect you
- 11:04Speaker 6: know I was going through something. I'm really trying to
- 11:06Speaker 6: figure this out. I'm almost questioning, have I.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Let go too much? You know what I mean?
- 11:15Speaker 6: Let me bring Shirley Strawberry calling for real Mississippi Monica
- 11:18Speaker 6: Junior government named killspas and the legend that few is
- 11:22Speaker 6: excuse me, the legend that is nephew Tomas Sureley out
- 11:26Speaker 6: in caller. I was talking of thinking to myself, have
- 11:31Speaker 6: I let go too much? That was what I was
- 11:35Speaker 6: questioning myself, am I, because I suddenly have found myself
- 11:41Speaker 6: having a real overwhelming lack of concern about tomorrow and
- 11:50Speaker 6: about what my next move is gonna be, and overly
- 11:56Speaker 6: concerned about the business that I will want to accomplish
- 12:01Speaker 6: your goals and just for the past almost like almost
- 12:07Speaker 6: forty five days, sixty days, I've just let go and
- 12:12Speaker 6: it feels so free, You're almost god.
- 12:17Speaker 11: Yeah, you're living in the now as present, and there's
- 12:20Speaker 11: nothing wrong with that. Your future is kind of set
- 12:24Speaker 11: up financially. You don't have those kinds of worries, right,
- 12:28Speaker 11: you know your kids are grown now and you're doing
- 12:32Speaker 11: you Steve.
- 12:33Speaker 1: I think, go ahead, Rylo.
- 12:34Speaker 2: No, no, no, you can go ahead.
- 12:36Speaker 1: I can't finish. I was thinking too, it's your childhood.
- 12:40Speaker 12: You know how we were brought up in the survival
- 12:44Speaker 12: that our parents had to live in to survive. And
- 12:48Speaker 12: now you don't have to live like that, and your
- 12:51Speaker 12: children don't have to live like that, so you can
- 12:53Speaker 12: live in the moment because you know, while we in
- 12:55Speaker 12: that molde, you in a hustle Molde stat stat stack.
- 12:58Speaker 12: They don't go back to that lifestyle. And we've lived
- 13:01Speaker 12: the property lifestyle before running on show, we've seen that.
- 13:04Speaker 6: But I'm so relaxed though, I'm thinking, I just hear
- 13:12Speaker 6: you're getting scared.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Feeling.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Hey man, you need to get back on this. Brian,
- 13:17Speaker 2: What what do you mean, Joe, Steve?
- 13:21Speaker 11: But Steve, that's the natural progression of life.
- 13:24Speaker 8: Yeah, you're sixty six.
- 13:26Speaker 13: Good.
- 13:26Speaker 2: I'm gonna have to pray about this. Man, because that
- 13:28Speaker 2: was my feeling I've been having late.
- 13:30Speaker 1: I got you're fine, all right, you don't have a
- 13:34Speaker 1: job coming up.

- 19:45Speaker 9: I got one more thing I need to say to you.
- 19:47Speaker 9: What you're listening to me?
- 19:48Speaker 3: Said?
- 19:48Speaker 9: Man?
- 19:48Speaker 3: What I listen? I can here you what this has
- 19:51Speaker 3: miss you?
- 19:51Speaker 9: Tomment from the Steve Harby Morning Show. You just got
- 19:55Speaker 9: pranked by your homeboy. This this is nephew. Tell me, man,
- 20:02Speaker 9: from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You just got pranked
- 20:05Speaker 9: by your homeboyd God, you quiz.
- 20:10Speaker 3: Don't play too much man, y'all had met. I'm putting

- 20:27Speaker 9: Hey man, I got one more thing. I gotta ask you, man,
- 20:31Speaker 9: what is What is the baddest I'm talking about the
- 20:34Speaker 9: baddest radio show in the lane?
- 20:36Speaker 3: The Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 20:40Speaker 1: All right, thank you, Thunderbolt.
- 20:47Speaker 11: Firecracker coming up next as the CELO with our Chief
- 20:51Speaker 11: Love Officer, Steve Harvey. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 20:56Speaker 11: coming up at the top of the hour and entertainment news.
- 20:59Speaker 11: Will We Call says she wants to host Will of
- 21:02Speaker 11: Fortune since Pat Sajak said he's going to retire. Also,
- 21:07Speaker 11: Anita Baker now has dropped Babyface completely from her tour.
- 21:12Speaker 11: It's over, okay. Early in trending national news, former President
- 21:22Speaker 11: Donald Trump was reigned again. We'll talk about all of
- 21:25Speaker 11: these stories at the top of the hour, but right
- 21:27Speaker 11: now it is time to ask the CLO our chief
- 21:31Speaker 11: Love Officer, Steve Harvey. All right, This one is from
- 21:34Speaker 11: Brenn in Kalama Zoo. Brenn writes, my husband and I
- 21:38Speaker 11: take a trip annually with his two brothers and their wives.
- 21:42Speaker 11: One of his brothers is cheating, and he snuck his
- 21:44Speaker 11: side chick on the trip. I was shocked to see her,
- 21:48Speaker 11: but my husband wasn't. Is he cool with it because
- 21:51Speaker 11: he's a cheater too, No, he's.
- 21:54Speaker 2: Cool with it because that's his brother. That's all it is. Yes,
- 21:59Speaker 2: his brother, that's his brother. He would he gonna love
- 22:04Speaker 2: his brother no matter what.
- 22:07Speaker 6: See he probably your husband may know something about your
- 22:10Speaker 6: relationship that you don't know that you are not privy too.
- 22:14Speaker 6: Because let me ask you a question, ma'am. If you
- 22:18Speaker 6: all go on a trip every year and all of
- 22:23Speaker 6: a sudden he bring a side chick on the trip,
- 22:30Speaker 6: are you saying that the wife was there and the
- 22:32Speaker 6: side chick was at the resort to.
- 22:35Speaker 2: You were surprised to see her?
- 22:37Speaker 11: That she was surprised to see the side chicks. She
- 22:41Speaker 11: didn't say the wife. The wife is there?
- 22:46Speaker 1: The wife? Yes, yes, not the wife.
- 22:50Speaker 6: Well now okay, now right, he's stupid, though, what are
- 22:54Speaker 6: you saying, Monica, the wife was there?
- 22:56Speaker 2: Say that?
- 22:57Speaker 1: Oh she's saying the wife was Monica saying the wife
- 23:00Speaker 1: was there?
- 23:04Speaker 2: Wife was there?
- 23:05Speaker 9: Who was she?
- 23:07Speaker 6: I would have now, I would have told my brother
- 23:10Speaker 6: this is the dumbest thing you. I will tell my
- 23:15Speaker 6: brother that. Am I gonna be cool with it? No,
- 23:18Speaker 6: I'm not cool with it because I don't think it's smart.
- 23:23Speaker 6: So I would tell my brother. But what you want
- 23:26Speaker 6: me to do, though, go tell her? They all out
- 23:28Speaker 6: at the pool. What is he saying when you see
- 23:31Speaker 6: the woman across the road? I seen her somewhere before.
- 23:34Speaker 6: He got to shut up. He gotta act like she
- 23:37Speaker 6: over there. But see she decided she just over there.
- 23:47Speaker 6: She in the room waiting. He's sneaking and hanging all
- 23:50Speaker 6: he doing, going going to get some ice.
- 23:53Speaker 1: I'll be bad.
- 23:53Speaker 2: I get something by the time.
- 23:57Speaker 9: You know.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Yeah, wow, All right, Now.
- 24:04Speaker 6: I would have advised my brother against it. But if
- 24:08Speaker 6: he did it, now I got to help him cover.
- 24:11Speaker 1: You have to do that, I block all right? Moving on,
- 24:14Speaker 1: to Channice and Doraville.
- 24:15Speaker 11: Chane writes, my husband and I have three grown daughters
- 24:18Speaker 11: that think men are supposed to cater to them because
- 24:21Speaker 11: their father does.
- 24:22Speaker 1: They expect money for hair.
- 24:24Speaker 11: Nails, food, clothes, trips, cars, everything. It breaks my heart
- 24:30Speaker 11: to raise three gold diggers. Is it possible to reprogram
- 24:34Speaker 11: them to be self sufficient and independent?
- 24:38Speaker 6: Well, well, you're not going to have to reprogram it
- 24:41Speaker 6: because the program they running has flaws in them. See,
- 24:46Speaker 6: if you keep picking a man because of what he
- 24:50Speaker 6: can do for you instead of picking me in for
- 24:54Speaker 6: what they can do with you, then you're going to
- 24:57Speaker 6: have a problem because before you go out and before
- 25:01Speaker 6: you comes with conditions. Because a man ain't stupid. He
- 25:05Speaker 6: know you asking for your nail money. He know you
- 25:08Speaker 6: asked it for your rent. He noticed he not stupid,
- 25:12Speaker 6: so he figured out that's what it's about. So then
- 25:14Speaker 6: if so we make the adjustment. Okay, cool, you want
- 25:18Speaker 6: this here, I'm gonna want this here, I'm gonna want
- 25:21Speaker 6: that that, And next thing you know, you're gonna be
- 25:24Speaker 6: on the short end of the stick because after a while,
- 25:26Speaker 6: what you're giving him is not gonna.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Be worth the free nails and the free trip to
- 25:31Speaker 2: the salon. Eventually you're gonna realize that that it don't
- 25:35Speaker 2: cost the same dog.
- 25:44Speaker 6: It sounds good in the beginning, but your value system,
- 25:48Speaker 6: you will discover very soon, is off. And what you're
- 25:54Speaker 6: giving him in exchange for these trinkets and toys. It's
- 25:59Speaker 6: Wait a minute, so you you've you've just intentionally devalued yourself.
- 26:09Speaker 4: No no, no, no, no no no.
- 26:11Speaker 6: He spoiled them to show them what what if? What
- 26:17Speaker 6: when a man is in love with you, what he's willing,
- 26:20Speaker 6: how he's willing to treat you. He didn't say, go
- 26:24Speaker 6: get this from every man you date. I treat your
- 26:28Speaker 6: mother this way because your mother is my wife. Oh see,
- 26:34Speaker 6: I personally had this conversation. My daughters have said to me,
- 26:38Speaker 6: I want somebody to treat me the way you treat mama. Okay, cool,
- 26:44Speaker 6: that's no problem. But you do know you're gonna have
- 26:47Speaker 6: to be mama thought. Okay, you know, mommy, Mommy get
- 26:58Speaker 6: a lot of stuff because mommy is a mommy. Mammy
- 27:01Speaker 6: get a lot of stuff because mommy doing some wifely stuff.
- 27:05Speaker 6: Mammy get a lot of stuff because Mama down here
- 27:08Speaker 6: in the foxhole with daddy. See Mamma didn't climb down
- 27:12Speaker 6: in the foxhole.
- 27:14Speaker 2: You can't. You can't.
- 27:15Speaker 6: You can't take you can't not take bullets and grenades
- 27:19Speaker 6: and want all these trinkets.
- 27:21Speaker 2: Got it? So okay?
- 27:23Speaker 8: All right?
- 27:23Speaker 11: Moving on to Elvie and port Arthur, who says, I've
- 27:26Speaker 11: been married for eighteen years.
- 27:28Speaker 6: Can I say one more thing? One of my daughters
- 27:31Speaker 6: said one time, Daddy, I want to watch like you
- 27:33Speaker 6: bought mamma. I said, that will never happen. Never, That'll
- 27:38Speaker 6: never happen because you don't do the stuff your mama
- 27:41Speaker 6: do to get here and watch like you.
- 27:44Speaker 2: I take that right now. You can get this bottle.
- 27:48Speaker 2: That ain't never gonna happen, all right.
- 27:52Speaker 11: Moving on to Elvie and port Arthur. Elvie said, damn
- 27:56Speaker 11: Tagg and go sit your head. I've been there for
- 28:00Speaker 11: eighteen years and a guy from my past found me
- 28:03Speaker 11: on Facebook and asked if he could stop by my
- 28:05Speaker 11: office since he was in town. I told my husband
- 28:08Speaker 11: after the fact, and he got mad. The guy lives
- 28:11Speaker 11: in Mexico, So what's the big deal?
- 28:14Speaker 2: Why he come to the internet. That's the other million
- 28:17Speaker 2: dollar question.
- 28:18Speaker 1: That's why she tell him all of Mexico.
- 28:24Speaker 6: He came down to my job. He ain't seen me
- 28:26Speaker 6: in eighteen years. He lived in Mexico because the man.
- 28:29Speaker 6: First thing, Amanda, for what he come.
- 28:31Speaker 2: To your job? You know what he won't Yeah, we didn't.
- 28:35Speaker 2: He Poppy in the same Hi, he saw your on Facebook.
- 28:38Speaker 2: You know what you look like eighteen years? What you owe? Fault?
- 28:43Speaker 2: Now you can't ever go to Mexico.
- 28:45Speaker 12: You know that that's a good point.
- 28:50Speaker 6: Butever, you really can't go back down there in that
- 28:53Speaker 6: job no more.
- 28:57Speaker 2: You gonna have to get rid of your damn Facebook.
- 29:03Speaker 10: Okay, watch telemoonbo Marc ra Harvey Colo coming up at
- 29:08Speaker 10: the top of the hour.
- 29:09Speaker 1: We'll have some entertainment news for you. Right after this,
- 29:12Speaker 1: you're listening.
- 29:14Speaker 8: Hardy Morning Show.
- 29:17Speaker 11: But then hours of Pat Sajack announcing his retirement in
- 29:20Speaker 11: twenty twenty four, several TV personalities expressed interest in hosting
- 29:25Speaker 11: Wheel of Fortune. The topic arose on Tuesday's episode of
- 29:28Speaker 11: the View when Joy Behar revealed that Woop Goldberg would
- 29:32Speaker 11: take the gig.
- 29:33Speaker 1: We'll be confirmed on the show. Quote. I want that job.
- 29:37Speaker 1: I think it would be lots of fun.
- 29:39Speaker 11: Ryan Seacrest is interested in the job too, so Steve
- 29:43Speaker 11: we got to ask you, since you're an Emmy Award
- 29:45Speaker 11: winning host of Family Feud, who do you think should
- 29:48Speaker 11: be the next host?
- 29:49Speaker 1: I have a different title now, Oh yeah, go ahead,
- 29:52Speaker 1: what is it?
- 29:54Speaker 2: Damn the king of Game Show?
- 30:02Speaker 9: I like it.
- 30:03Speaker 6: I just I just I just came over with that.
- 30:06Speaker 6: Just now, just now, have they called I hadn't never
- 30:10Speaker 6: thought about it until they know.
- 30:13Speaker 2: I can't do it. I can't. I can't.
- 30:21Speaker 8: I didn't see to read.
- 30:23Speaker 2: I ain't gonna be good at well. I can't do
- 30:25Speaker 2: what I can't spell.
- 30:31Speaker 6: You're gonna know that, They're gonna know, they'll every time
- 30:34Speaker 6: they guess, I'm gonna go, got it, you can't.
- 30:38Speaker 2: I don't give a damnit day wrong, So good to me,
- 30:43Speaker 2: that's right.
- 30:44Speaker 1: I like to buy a bib. Please, I be like whoy.
- 30:50Speaker 2: Talking about.
- 30:53Speaker 11: Wow, well wow, we'll be Ryan Seacrest. True great candidates
- 30:59Speaker 11: right there.
- 31:00Speaker 10: Votes give it to that. That thing is forever. That's forever.
- 31:06Speaker 10: If you get that job and you can just ride
- 31:08Speaker 10: it out. But you have to have here's the case.
- 31:15Speaker 10: This is what a lot of people don't know, and
- 31:17Speaker 10: this is very serious. You have to develop a likability,
- 31:22Speaker 10: right yeah. See, it's not just hosting the game show. Yeah,
- 31:27Speaker 10: here's a hard part about it. And this is what
- 31:30Speaker 10: I've learned.
- 31:31Speaker 6: When you're a TV star, people have to invite you
- 31:35Speaker 6: into their homes, right. Nobody invites a person to their
- 31:40Speaker 6: home they don't like. When the last time you had
- 31:44Speaker 6: invited an enemy over When the last time you sent
- 31:47Speaker 6: an invitation out to a person you don't like the house?
- 31:52Speaker 6: That's and that's what a lot of people miss. The
- 31:54Speaker 6: likability factor. Man, You've got to be a really different person.
- 31:58Speaker 6: You gotta humble yourself in front of people, allow them
- 32:01Speaker 6: to win sometimes, but at the same time be in control.
- 32:05Speaker 2: It's it's not as simple. I think who has that?
- 32:10Speaker 1: Yes?
- 32:12Speaker 2: Does this position have to be a star? Yeah? Yeah,
- 32:16Speaker 2: because it's such a hit show, they're not going to
- 32:19Speaker 2: hit the show.
- 32:21Speaker 9: He was.
- 32:21Speaker 6: He wasn't a man, right, but he turned it into that.
- 32:26Speaker 6: The game turned it into that. It's like, right now,
- 32:29Speaker 6: who replaced Alex Trebek my champ I think Champy you
- 32:43Speaker 6: don't even know, right, And I don't think Whill of
- 32:46Speaker 6: Fortune can take that chance.
- 32:48Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 32:49Speaker 6: Well, because of Van of White standing over there, I
- 32:52Speaker 6: think they're gonna give it to Ryan Seacrest if he
- 32:54Speaker 6: say he wanted.
- 32:56Speaker 11: Out looks like a All right, we got to get
- 33:01Speaker 11: to this story. We told you about the Anita Baker
- 33:05Speaker 11: and Babyface drama. This happened back in May when Face
- 33:09Speaker 11: didn't want to perform. He didn't perform at their concert
- 33:13Speaker 11: in New Jersey. Remember that because Anita Baker wanted all
- 33:17Speaker 11: her time, so she asked him not to perform. Well,
- 33:20Speaker 11: the drama continues. Anita has kicked Babyface off the Songstress
- 33:25Speaker 11: Tour altogether now, so he's done. Anita tweeted, quote, after
- 33:32Speaker 11: silently enduring cyber bullying, verbal abuse, and threats of violence
- 33:37Speaker 11: from the fan base of our special guest Slash Support Act,
- 33:42Speaker 11: in the interest of personal safety, I will continue the
- 33:45Speaker 11: Songstress Tour alone. Anita Baker also said appropriate refunds will
- 33:50Speaker 11: be made. Then, Babyface released a statement saying, I am
- 33:55Speaker 11: saddened by the news that Anita Baker has decided to
- 33:57Speaker 11: remove me from the Songstress Tour. It's unfortunate and disheartening
- 34:02Speaker 11: to see how things have played out via social media
- 34:04Speaker 11: while I was looking forward to the rest of the dates.
- 34:07Speaker 11: I have nothing but love and respect for Anita, and
- 34:09Speaker 11: I wish her the best for the remainder of her tour. Okay,
- 34:14Speaker 11: it's not overweight. Hold on, Anita Bon said no. Anita
- 34:20Speaker 11: collapped back and said, this false narrative of a co
- 34:23Speaker 11: headliner is creating unrealistic expectations and aggression from Babyface's fans
- 34:29Speaker 11: toward me. He should tell you guys the truth. Anita's too,
- 34:34Speaker 11: and it continued. She said, Kenny's crazies are online bullies. Babyface,
- 34:40Speaker 11: please call off your fans. I have only been kind
- 34:42Speaker 11: and supportive of you as a special guest flash support
- 34:46Speaker 11: on my tour. The support is the support.
- 34:49Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 34:50Speaker 11: Yeah, she's saying, he's not a co headline. It's not
- 34:53Speaker 11: a co headlining situation.
- 34:55Speaker 2: Is I know them both.
- 34:58Speaker 6: I know them both, and Babyface is probably the most
- 35:03Speaker 6: non confrontational person I've.
- 35:05Speaker 2: Heard about that.
- 35:07Speaker 6: He's just a non confrontational person. I think social media
- 35:13Speaker 6: has interfered and gotten the best of this and has
- 35:17Speaker 6: a need of feeling some kind of way because they
- 35:19Speaker 6: are that's social media. But they're not even his craziest.
- 35:23Speaker 6: They're really just those trolls that be online to start stuff,
- 35:27Speaker 6: and I think they have sat down and talked control them.
- 35:30Speaker 6: They could have worked this out, because you cannot control
- 35:33Speaker 6: social media. That is the devil's playground, and he opened
- 35:37Speaker 6: for business on that and because both of them are
- 35:43Speaker 6: kind people.
- 35:44Speaker 9: Man.
- 35:44Speaker 11: Yeah, all right, well, moving on, coming up in twenty
- 35:47Speaker 11: minutes after the hour. In weird News, Peter's president wants
- 35:50Speaker 11: her skin to be barbecued.
- 35:52Speaker 1: After she dies. We'll talk about it right after this.
- 35:55Speaker 8: What You're Listening morning show.
- 36:02Speaker 11: In weird News, PEEDA president Ingrid Newkirk revealed that she
- 36:06Speaker 11: wants her flesh to be cooked with.
- 36:07Speaker 1: Some onions after she dies. She did this. She said
- 36:13Speaker 1: this during an interview on Fox News.
- 36:16Speaker 11: She said she wants her flesh to be cooked like
- 36:18Speaker 11: a human barbecue after she dies. Her reasoning for all
- 36:21Speaker 11: of this is that consuming animals should not be practiced
- 36:24Speaker 11: by anyone, and she will continue to help animals and
- 36:28Speaker 11: with her commitment that her body be used in a
- 36:30Speaker 11: manner that draws attention to needless animal suffering and exploitation,
- 36:35Speaker 11: Newkirk went on to say, so when I die, you'll
- 36:39Speaker 11: smell my flesh cooking with some onions and be like, oh,
- 36:43Speaker 11: I want some of that, but it'll make you think.
- 36:46Speaker 11: The PEDA president also intends to have her skin removed
- 36:50Speaker 11: to create leather belts and purses and she is going
- 36:53Speaker 11: to have her foot repurposed as an umbrella stand.
- 36:56Speaker 1: So there you go, too stupid, too.
- 37:01Speaker 2: Far, lady, Shut up, Nobody give a damn.
- 37:07Speaker 6: Your dumb ass want to get barbecued and peeled off
- 37:10Speaker 6: and repurpose your foot, and that's gonna prove what.
- 37:13Speaker 2: I'm still gonna buy.
- 37:15Speaker 6: An umbrella, and I'm still buying a leather belt, and
- 37:20Speaker 6: I'm still fitting to have some fried chicken. You done
- 37:25Speaker 6: peeled your stupid ass for nothing.
- 37:29Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 37:31Speaker 6: You just set up in here and peeled all his
- 37:33Speaker 6: skin off, your dumb ass, and climbed in a pot.
- 37:37Speaker 6: And I'm watching you on the news eating fried chicken.
- 37:46Speaker 6: People people killed me with that. Listen to me, man.
- 37:49Speaker 6: There's nothing wrong with being a vegan, nothing at all.
- 37:53Speaker 6: There's nothing wrong with being a meat eater. But what
- 37:55Speaker 6: but why can't people be allowed to do what they
- 37:59Speaker 6: want to do without criticism from somebody else?
- 38:03Speaker 5: That's all.
- 38:04Speaker 6: But then if you open up yourself to criticize to
- 38:07Speaker 6: somebody else, then that somebody.
- 38:09Speaker 2: Else should be allowed to criticize you.
- 38:12Speaker 6: I remember I was walking down the street and I
- 38:14Speaker 6: had on a Russian I had a bob tail coat
- 38:17Speaker 6: on and were walking.
- 38:19Speaker 2: Me and Biggie Wig was in New York walking. Biggie
- 38:22Speaker 2: Wig had on a fur coat.
- 38:24Speaker 6: I had on a fur coat. It was winter time,
- 38:27Speaker 6: like in Chicago. You can't go to Chicago talking that
- 38:30Speaker 6: mess because that's big up there. So in New York
- 38:33Speaker 6: we walked past the group. Now I see these signs
- 38:36Speaker 6: with all these dead Amazons, and we walked right past
- 38:39Speaker 6: Peter and a woman ran up to me and said it.
- 38:42Speaker 2: Looked better when it was alive.
- 38:45Speaker 6: I didn't know what she was talking about. It didn't
- 38:48Speaker 6: really connect with me. And then the dude had some
- 38:50Speaker 6: paint said I throw this on your clothing, me and
- 38:54Speaker 6: Big Staff, and that dude looked at us.
- 38:57Speaker 2: And turned right around with that can. Already knew.
- 39:01Speaker 6: Yeah, if you throw this can of paint on either
- 39:03Speaker 6: one of these two big black ass dudes. I don't
- 39:06Speaker 6: know what you out here protesting, but you're gonna need
- 39:09Speaker 6: all your medical assurance need to be up to date.
- 39:11Speaker 9: Now.
- 39:11Speaker 11: Oh yeah, coming up in thirty four minutes after the hour, Steve,
- 39:15Speaker 11: we're gonna check your voicemail right after this. Wow, you're
- 39:20Speaker 11: listening Steve Hardy Morning Show. All right, Steve, it's time
- 39:24Speaker 11: now to check your voicemail.
- 39:25Speaker 8: Listen.
- 39:26Speaker 11: If you want to leave Steve a boy's message, call
- 39:28Speaker 11: him eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve eight seven seven
- 39:31Speaker 11: twenty nine. Steve, you might just hear your voicemail on
- 39:34Speaker 11: the air. This first one, Steve, is a relationship call.
- 39:37Speaker 1: Take a listener.
- 39:38Speaker 3: See.
- 39:39Speaker 7: I ain't never been called up in my life, man. Now,
- 39:42Speaker 7: yesterday morning, my girlfriend got to a point where she
- 39:46Speaker 7: disrespected me and call me up. I haven't spoken to
- 39:51Speaker 7: her in the last twenty four hours, and I'm really
- 39:53Speaker 7: trying to shot what the hell I'm gonna do with
- 39:55Speaker 7: this girl as this relationship managed course, as it got
- 39:59Speaker 7: to a point where disrespect me that you know, she
- 40:02Speaker 7: have no more respect for me.
- 40:04Speaker 6: To God, the words are powerful and you can't take
- 40:11Speaker 6: words back. But let me say this to me and
- 40:14Speaker 6: that woman. It ain't right to call a woman out
- 40:18Speaker 6: of her name, and it ain't right to call the
- 40:21Speaker 6: man out her name.
- 40:22Speaker 11: Now.
- 40:22Speaker 6: I would tell a man, if a woman hits you,
- 40:24Speaker 6: turn around and walk away, trouve. I say that all
- 40:28Speaker 6: the time, But when a woman calls you the B word,
- 40:33Speaker 6: I mean, man, what's happening here now? Because that, to
- 40:36Speaker 6: me is the ultimate sign of disrespect for me. I mean,
- 40:41Speaker 6: if you if we're having an argument and you call
- 40:44Speaker 6: me the B word and I'm a man, and and
- 40:49Speaker 6: we're pretty much done at this point, because I'm not
- 40:52Speaker 6: gonna forget that you call me and I don't know
- 40:54Speaker 6: what you make I don't know how you think because
- 40:59Speaker 6: I'm you know, and plus a guy like me. If
- 41:02Speaker 6: you're a man's man and I am a man's man,
- 41:06Speaker 6: I don't I don't break the rules of manhood. Ever,
- 41:11Speaker 6: I don't ever put him down. I honor the laws
- 41:14Speaker 6: of manhood twenty four to seven. So now, if you
- 41:16Speaker 6: done got to the point where you calling me the
- 41:18Speaker 6: B word, no it's not gonna happen because I'm not
- 41:23Speaker 6: gonna let nobody call you the be word. If you
- 41:27Speaker 6: say that about my girl, I'm gonna find a way
- 41:29Speaker 6: to get to you.
- 41:31Speaker 2: Period. We're gonna dress that.
- 41:32Speaker 6: You talk about me all you want, but I don't
- 41:34Speaker 6: let nobody do that to my wife, wife or daughter.
- 41:37Speaker 2: You call either one of them, you're gonna have talk
- 41:40Speaker 2: to me about it.
- 41:41Speaker 6: So whenf you turn around as a woman and called
- 41:43Speaker 6: me to be worth, it's a rapt up. And for
- 41:46Speaker 6: him to call in like that, he hurting and he
- 41:49Speaker 6: felt that it's gone. It's a whole absolutely.
- 41:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 41:53Speaker 1: He's hard to come back from that.
- 41:54Speaker 2: Because obviously she don't want him no more. You know,
- 41:59Speaker 2: she don't want you, no disrespecting you like that.
- 42:02Speaker 11: Yeah, yeah, all right, another relationship call, this time from
- 42:05Speaker 11: a woman, Steve, take a listen.
- 42:07Speaker 14: Christ Steve, I have a question. How do you deal
- 42:11Speaker 14: with a person who has been divorced for about eight
- 42:16Speaker 14: years and still discussing his marriage that he had. How
- 42:22Speaker 14: do you deal with that?
- 42:24Speaker 3: Thank you?
- 42:26Speaker 2: M you got over that yet?
- 42:28Speaker 6: I mean, he's trying, he's it's it's it's not that
- 42:32Speaker 6: he hasn't gotten over her. He he hasn't got over
- 42:36Speaker 6: the pain of it and what it costs. And a
- 42:39Speaker 6: lot of dudes do that. I did it for a while.
- 42:42Speaker 6: I discussed my divorce for a while, okay, and then
- 42:46Speaker 6: finally I heard just mestally say, uh, you don't have
- 42:49Speaker 6: to keep going over that.
- 42:50Speaker 2: It's over.
- 42:52Speaker 6: And once I was reassured of that, then I understood
- 42:54Speaker 6: where it was coming from and I stopped. This guy
- 42:57Speaker 6: right here is hashing it over and over and over
- 43:01Speaker 6: because it burned him. And you got to understand, some ladies,
- 43:06Speaker 6: men don't have the same support groups that you all have.
- 43:10Speaker 6: When you all are going through something, y'all girls gather around,
- 43:13Speaker 6: come over, pick you up, take you y'all, do wine, tea,
- 43:17Speaker 6: y'all sit around, and y'all work through it. Men don't
- 43:20Speaker 6: really have that. We don't because we don't go it.
- 43:24Speaker 6: Hey man, I need I need, Hey fellas, I need
- 43:27Speaker 6: to chop it up with y'all about something. We don't
- 43:29Speaker 6: really have that because of our ego. And then we
- 43:33Speaker 6: stay out of the gray area with other men, so
- 43:35Speaker 6: we go, hey man, hanging that dog, need anything?
- 43:38Speaker 2: Let me know.
- 43:39Speaker 6: Then you don't want to appear needy, so you never
- 43:42Speaker 6: called the guy. Women have that men don't. And so
- 43:46Speaker 6: when men get out of something, a lot of times
- 43:50Speaker 6: it's bottled up.
- 43:51Speaker 2: So he's not a bad guy. You just got to
- 43:54Speaker 2: help him through it. Just remind him that you're not
- 43:57Speaker 2: that person.
- 43:58Speaker 11: All right, guys, thanks for your call, Ladies and gentlemen.
- 44:01Speaker 11: Coming up next, it is the nephew with the prank
- 44:03Speaker 11: phone call for today. Right after this, you're listening morning
- 44:08Speaker 11: show coming up at the top of the hour, about
- 44:12Speaker 11: four minutes after, it's my Strawberry letter for today and
- 44:15Speaker 11: the subject is why is he trying to finesse my fineness?
- 44:19Speaker 2: What is he supposed to do with it?
- 44:21Speaker 9: Mmmm?
- 44:22Speaker 11: We'll find out what that's all about. And just a
- 44:24Speaker 11: few and that's in my fineness over here. But we'll
- 44:28Speaker 11: get into it later. But right now it is time
- 44:30Speaker 11: for the nephew in today's prank phone call neph what
- 44:33Speaker 11: you got?

- 54:54Speaker 1: Let us thank you. Nephew.
- 54:56Speaker 11: Subject why is he trying to finesse my fineness? Dear
- 55:00Speaker 11: Stephen Shirley, I've met a man that is controlling, but.
- 55:04Speaker 1: I like him a lot.
- 55:06Speaker 11: He has some great characteristics that would make him a
- 55:08Speaker 11: good husband. He's thirty eight and I'm thirty seven. He
- 55:12Speaker 11: checks off all the boxes as far as having a
- 55:15Speaker 11: promising career, his own house, and he has a big,
- 55:18Speaker 11: loving family. He is a personal stylist for an upscale
- 55:22Speaker 11: store and he has several private female clients. He said
- 55:26Speaker 11: he loved my style when we met, and he inspired
- 55:29Speaker 11: me to get my haircut and get some highlights. The
- 55:33Speaker 11: only problem I'm having with him now is that he's
- 55:35Speaker 11: treating me like I'm one of his clients. And it's
- 55:39Speaker 11: like he's memorized my entire closet to the point where
- 55:42Speaker 11: he tells me what he'd like for me to wear
- 55:45Speaker 11: when we go out. He'll suggest that I wear yellow
- 55:48Speaker 11: if he is wearing yellow, and he'll say what shoes
- 55:50Speaker 11: I should wear with the outfit. If I don't take
- 55:53Speaker 11: his suggestions, he comments on my choices.
- 55:56Speaker 1: When he picks me up.
- 55:57Speaker 11: It's annoying, and I've told him lightly that I'm not
- 56:01Speaker 11: one of his clients. Then there's the problems we have
- 56:04Speaker 11: at the gym that's where we met after he came
- 56:07Speaker 11: over and corrected me on using a machine improperly. Now
- 56:11Speaker 11: he makes comments on what exercises I should do to
- 56:14Speaker 11: get the body type that he desires.
- 56:17Speaker 1: I told this boy I was.
- 56:18Speaker 11: Fine when he met me, and I don't need him
- 56:20Speaker 11: to finesse my fineness that goes for in the gym.
- 56:24Speaker 1: And in my closet.
- 56:26Speaker 11: It would be a shame if the table's turned and
- 56:28Speaker 11: I start directing him in the bedroom and telling him
- 56:30Speaker 11: what kind of loving that I desire, I am starting
- 56:33Speaker 11: to think he sees me as one.
- 56:35Speaker 1: Of his projects that he wants to make perfect.
- 56:38Speaker 11: I'm my own person and I want to continue to
- 56:40Speaker 11: get to know him, but he needs to relax on
- 56:42Speaker 11: all of his unwanted opinions.
- 56:45Speaker 1: Is this a character flaw? Should we break up or
- 56:49Speaker 1: can this be fixed?
- 56:52Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 56:52Speaker 11: I think he needs to get him some business. You're
- 56:55Speaker 11: definitely not his project or his client. He needs some kids,
- 57:00Speaker 11: needs a pet or something like that. If he wants
- 57:02Speaker 11: to tell people what to do and what to wear
- 57:04Speaker 11: and how to work out of the gym, you're a
- 57:06Speaker 11: grown woman.
- 57:07Speaker 1: And he is controlling, and who he is is that.
- 57:12Speaker 1: That's who he is. This is who he is.
- 57:15Speaker 11: He wants you to work out a certain way so
- 57:17Speaker 11: you can get the body he desires. What about the
- 57:20Speaker 11: body you're already in the gym? He's just too much.
- 57:24Speaker 11: You said you're your own person. I hope you don't
- 57:27Speaker 11: budge on this. Remind him again who you are and
- 57:30Speaker 11: that you were already fine, and that's why he hollered
- 57:33Speaker 11: at you in the first place. In the gym, remember that,
- 57:36Speaker 11: tell him you know how to dress already. You say
- 57:40Speaker 11: you like him, you want to continue to get to
- 57:42Speaker 11: know him, but please don't be fooled. I mean, this
- 57:45Speaker 11: is what you're gonna get. You're gonna get a controlling
- 57:47Speaker 11: man who thinks he can boss you around. If you
- 57:50Speaker 11: don't want a controlling man, this man.
- 57:52Speaker 1: Is not the one for you.
- 57:54Speaker 11: The first line in your letter was that he is controlling.
- 57:57Speaker 11: The last line is can it be fit? It doesn't
- 58:01Speaker 11: sound like it can be fixed, because that's how he is,
- 58:03Speaker 11: like I said, But it depends on whether he wants
- 58:05Speaker 11: to be fixed or not, or he understands that what
- 58:08Speaker 11: he's doing is not cool, it's annoying you, or and
- 58:11Speaker 11: it depends on if he cares that this is a
- 58:13Speaker 11: major problem for you. One thing's for sure is he
- 58:16Speaker 11: can only do this to you as long as you
- 58:18Speaker 11: let him, or until you leave him. Steve, it's a
- 58:22Speaker 11: good letter.
- 58:23Speaker 14: It is it is.
- 58:24Speaker 2: You know, it's really a good letter. So I'm gonna try.
- 58:29Speaker 1: Please try, Steve.
- 58:31Speaker 2: You know, you know what they call in for help,
- 58:34Speaker 2: But sometimes I just, you know, someday it just don't
- 58:37Speaker 2: feel like helping nobody.
- 58:38Speaker 1: But she does need help because he's on her nervous
- 58:40Speaker 1: with all of them. To shut out today in a
- 58:44Speaker 1: real helpful day for me will help her.
- 58:47Speaker 2: You know, I need help, my damnsel. I don't see
- 58:51Speaker 2: nobody talking about Steve.
- 58:53Speaker 1: Steve, come on nineteen percent body, Oh.
- 58:57Speaker 6: That's right here. Yeah, man, that's controlling. But she likes
- 59:02Speaker 6: him a lot. He's got a lot of great characteristics.
- 59:05Speaker 6: He's thirty eight, you thirty seven, check off all the boxes,
- 59:09Speaker 6: got a promising career, got his own house, got a
- 59:11Speaker 6: big loving family. He's a personal stylist for an upscale store,
- 59:16Speaker 6: and he's got a lot of female clients.
- 59:18Speaker 2: So now he's talked to you about your hand. It
- 59:21Speaker 2: kind of made you change it.
- 59:23Speaker 6: The thing that's happening though, it is kind of lonely
- 59:25Speaker 6: problem you haven't you say. He can kind of memorize
- 59:28Speaker 6: your whole closet. So when y'all go out, if he
- 59:30Speaker 6: wearing yellow, he'll call and tell you to wear yelling
- 59:32Speaker 6: and tell you what shoes wearing. But then if you
- 59:36Speaker 6: get if you don't want to wear that, which what
- 59:39Speaker 6: you wear should be a feeling, you know sometimes you know,
- 59:43Speaker 6: I got a stylist.
- 59:45Speaker 2: He pick a lot of stuff out. I go, I
- 59:47Speaker 2: ain't wearing it now.
- 59:47Speaker 6: I throw his a little last into something, you know,
- 59:50Speaker 6: because all them they fragile.
- 59:54Speaker 2: I throw his a little last into something. But you're
- 59:56Speaker 2: just gonna be the.
- 59:56Speaker 6: Little broken ass boy today as far as I'm concerned,
- 59:59Speaker 6: because I'm all right, how about that? Well, I just
- 1:00:02Speaker 6: wanted to share with you that that's what happens here
- 1:00:04Speaker 6: when you deal with these people. That I'll tell you
- 1:00:06Speaker 6: how to cold it.
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: Well, thank you for giving her some help.
- 1:00:09Speaker 11: We'll have part two of your response, Steve coming up
- 1:00:12Speaker 11: at twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's strawberry letter,
- 1:00:15Speaker 11: subject why is he trying to finesse my fineness?
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:00:21Speaker 8: You're listening Hardy Morning Show.
- 1:00:24Speaker 11: All right, Steve, come on, let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:00:27Speaker 11: The subject why is he trying to finesse my fineness?
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: Well, she'd have met this guy the dayton. He's thirty
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: and she started seven.
- 1:00:38Speaker 6: He checks off all the blocks he's controlling, but she
- 1:00:40Speaker 6: likes the man a lot, got his own house, got
- 1:00:43Speaker 6: his own business, got a great career, great family. He's
- 1:00:47Speaker 6: a stylist at an upscale store. He's got several female clients.
- 1:00:52Speaker 6: He's convinced her to change a hell a little bit.
- 1:00:54Speaker 6: She kind of like a little bit of advice. But
- 1:00:56Speaker 6: he's the problem is he just started memorizing her whole
- 1:01:00Speaker 6: rob now, and like, if he's gonna wear yellow, he'll
- 1:01:03Speaker 6: tell her to wear yellow. And when she don't want
- 1:01:06Speaker 6: to wear that, which will what you wear should be
- 1:01:09Speaker 6: a feeling that day, she'll come out in something else
- 1:01:12Speaker 6: and then he'll be picking on her choices.
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: He'll be commenting on her choices. And you know, and
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: you've you've been.
- 1:01:20Speaker 6: Annoyed by this, and you've politely told him I'm not
- 1:01:24Speaker 6: one of your clients. And then y'all got another problem
- 1:01:27Speaker 6: because y'all at the gym. Now, the way y'all met
- 1:01:29Speaker 6: at the gim where you were using the machining correctly,
- 1:01:32Speaker 6: he came over and corrected. Now, every time y'all go
- 1:01:36Speaker 6: to the gym, he telling you what machine use so
- 1:01:39Speaker 6: you can sculpt the body that he wants.
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: He wants. Now, is he taking it too far? Of
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: course he is.
- 1:01:49Speaker 6: And then you told him that when you met him,
- 1:01:51Speaker 6: he met you, you was fine and you don't need
- 1:01:54Speaker 6: him to finesse your fineness.
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: I like you put your system. Yes goes for in
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: the gym and in my closet.
- 1:02:02Speaker 6: Then you thought about well I could hurt him if
- 1:02:05Speaker 6: I saw giving him instructions on how I wanted to
- 1:02:08Speaker 6: be loved in the bedroom. See, now you're gonna sting
- 1:02:11Speaker 6: his ass. You're gonna sting it. Well, you know, since
- 1:02:16Speaker 6: we passed our instruction, all that? Who how high you
- 1:02:20Speaker 6: think you doing? It ain't really all that?
- 1:02:21Speaker 7: Who?
- 1:02:22Speaker 9: Who? How?
- 1:02:23Speaker 6: You know you need to change some things? And she says,
- 1:02:28Speaker 6: I think he sees me as one of his projects
- 1:02:30Speaker 6: he wants to make perfectly I'm my own person. I
- 1:02:33Speaker 6: want to continue to get to know him. But he
- 1:02:35Speaker 6: needs to relax on all his unwanted opinions. And since
- 1:02:39Speaker 6: the character flaws, should we break up? Or can can
- 1:02:41Speaker 6: this be fixed?
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: This can be fixed.
- 1:02:45Speaker 6: He's probably a great guy. He doesn't even realize he's
- 1:02:48Speaker 6: being annoying. He has a job where people pay help
- 1:02:52Speaker 6: for his opinion, but he brings.
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: The job home. That's the problem. He brings job home.
- 1:03:02Speaker 6: And so now he's treating you, like you say, as
- 1:03:05Speaker 6: a client. And you don't want that. You want a
- 1:03:08Speaker 6: relationship with a man. You don't want a client subordinate relationship.
- 1:03:14Speaker 6: You don't want, Tom, I'm paying for your services. No,
- 1:03:18Speaker 6: I want to have relationship. So you got to sit
- 1:03:20Speaker 6: him down and have this conversation, and the conversation should
- 1:03:24Speaker 6: have those talking points in it. I just feel like
- 1:03:27Speaker 6: nothing I do is good enough for you. I know
- 1:03:31Speaker 6: you are paid to give your opinion and to style people,
- 1:03:34Speaker 6: but sometimes I just want to wear what I want
- 1:03:36Speaker 6: to wear. Now, if you're unhappy with the way I dress,
- 1:03:40Speaker 6: then maybe you need to start seeing somebody else. Because
- 1:03:43Speaker 6: of wearing exactly what you want me to wear a
- 1:03:47Speaker 6: premium importance to you, and you're gonna be inhappy with
- 1:03:50Speaker 6: my own selections. I think we should part ways now.
- 1:03:53Speaker 6: I don't want to do this because I think you're
- 1:03:55Speaker 6: a great guy, but I also think that this can
- 1:03:58Speaker 6: work out if he would just allow me to be
- 1:04:01Speaker 6: me and you accept me for me. Now, if I
- 1:04:03Speaker 6: asked your opinion, I would love to hear what you
- 1:04:06Speaker 6: have to say. But if I don't ask it, then
- 1:04:09Speaker 6: I'm very happy with the selection I made and if
- 1:04:12Speaker 6: you and I would like you to compliment me on it.
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: And this is where he got to put his big
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: boy pants on. How many times.
- 1:04:19Speaker 6: Fellas do you have to tell your girl she look
- 1:04:22Speaker 6: good at something when she don't? All she just don't
- 1:04:25Speaker 6: all the time, and we do it all the damn time.
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: Sorry, you like it? I love it?
- 1:04:29Speaker 6: I love it?
- 1:04:30Speaker 14: Thing?
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: Oh yeah, this yeah?
- 1:04:32Speaker 6: And you look you look crazy just looking just smack
- 1:04:38Speaker 6: Shaka asked crazy. Hell, yeah, look you make you it's sad.
- 1:04:41Speaker 6: Before you put your dress on.
- 1:04:42Speaker 12: You better not say it though, No, anybody won't do
- 1:04:49Speaker 12: over these three guys.
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: Y'all good, y'all say it all the time.
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: Maybe look good.
- 1:04:55Speaker 10: I just say, none wrong, nothing wrong, very smart of you,
- 1:05:01Speaker 10: very good looking, all three of them, very good.
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: I'm on newly wed? What you got newly?
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: I said?
- 1:05:06Speaker 16: I said the same thing times I said, you look good?
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: Baby?
- 1:05:08Speaker 8: What you put on?
- 1:05:09Speaker 16: I said all the time? Good is over there with the.
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: Microphone and it does. And what see? Do I look
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: fat in this?
- 1:05:19Speaker 9: No?
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: No, no, you don't look fat.
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: But what are you saying to yourself though under your breath?
- 1:05:24Speaker 6: Well you want the truth? Yeah, you look fat with
- 1:05:28Speaker 6: your dress on. You look fat in your panties. But
- 1:05:39Speaker 6: but I look kind of fat, and this is the
- 1:05:42Speaker 6: fat I like, Oh baby, that's beautiful. But on the inside,
- 1:05:46Speaker 6: I know that's my kind of fat.
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: Anyway, So I like you know, you have to be honest,
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: but you have to be not honest in order to
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: keep your relationship that it's you are I want you. Yeah,
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: you have to. You can't tell the truth, baby, baby?
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: Do you like my half?
- 1:06:08Speaker 9: What?
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: Hell?
- 1:06:08Speaker 6: Which one you talking about? Yours are the blowing you
- 1:06:11Speaker 6: bought what you need? Which hen you want me to like?
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: I have a question. Oh, you won't need to like
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: the whole half style, then it's cool.
- 1:06:18Speaker 6: But if you're asking me if I like the head
- 1:06:20Speaker 6: of yours or the one in the bag, I haven't
- 1:06:23Speaker 6: really decided.

- 1:24:52Speaker 6: I don't want to be here, I said, son, do
- 1:24:55Speaker 6: you realize how many things in life that you ain't
- 1:24:58Speaker 6: gonna want to do. You have to do, yes, sir,

- 1:25:18Speaker 6: That's what I said. You're gonna need this characteristic to
