- 0:00Alan Carroll: Welcome to the mindful U podcast. My name is
- 0:07Alan Carroll. And I'll be your host. Today's guest, Angie
- 0:13Langley is a spiritual transformation coach who has
- 0:20been involved in healing, both from an intuitive type of
- 0:25healing, a energy healing, and even a trauma healing for many
- 0:32years. And she's here today to share her experiences, and share
- 0:37some of the techniques that you can use to heal and relax and
- 0:47calm the energy down. And so you're able to be more mindful
- 0:53and more present in the moment. So please welcome Angie to the
- 0:58mindful you podcast. Well, let's talk a little bit about your
- 1:02spirituality because mindfulness you is about spirituality.
- 1:07Because we say that spirituality is that space of consciousness
- 1:12beyond the physical world, and most people are in the physical
- 1:15world. And so how do you get from the physical world to that
- 1:17spiritual world? That's the path, and you've been on that
- 1:21path. So my audience would like to know, how you how you made it
- 1:25from that ego identity, this side of the bridge to that side
- 1:29of the bridge?
- 1:32Angie Langley: Well, I don't have much of an ego anymore.
- 1:37Alan Carroll: That's good. I made your foreign the bridge.
- 1:39That's good. Yes. Well,
- 1:41Angie Langley: it was quite a battle. But I have control now.
- 1:47And that is one of the things that I teach people to sell. But
- 1:52to go from being a human to be in spiritual, um, it's quite a
- 2:02journey. It's not something I mean, I know some people say,
- 2:06you know, it's like, it just happened like this. To a woman
- 2:10one time she said, she got high, and that's how she had her
- 2:13spiritual awakening. And I was like, Oh, well, it wasn't that
- 2:17easy for me. But, um, but when I was a kid, when I was a
- 2:22teenager, I always knew I was different. And I could hear my
- 2:30name being called sometimes, and nobody was there. And I would go
- 2:38to people's houses that I've never been to before. But I just
- 2:42knew that I was there before. You know what I mean? Yeah. So,
- 2:49of course, being a teenager, I mean, who do you tell way back
- 2:54then? Right. And so I blocked it, blocked everything. And, but
- 3:02I know, my guides have been around me all the time. And they
- 3:06do talk to me. Um, I had a car accident one time. And about
- 3:15five minutes before we had this accident. This was like before
- 3:20we had to wear seatbelts. Sure. Yeah, they were they weren't
- 3:24mandatory then. So yeah, I heard this voice saying, and it wasn't
- 3:30in my head. It was there here. Yeah. said Get your seatbelt on
- 3:34blue. And I was like, whooping the seatbelt on? I mean, I'm
- 3:39only going to my grandma, she lives down the road two miles,
- 3:42right. Like, why would I go there? And then I heard get just
- 3:47fell on this. And I'm like, okay. Come on. And just as I get
- 3:53my seatbelt on, we're the head on collision. I wouldn't be here
- 3:58today, if it wasn't for them. Yeah, so I've had quite a few
- 4:05near death experiences. So yeah.
- 4:08Alan Carroll: So that voice that guidance is definitely something
- 4:17that most people don't don't have. I've not seen anybody.
- 4:23Action say that. However, it's not common, that that people are
- 4:27connected with that transcendent dimension of consciousness,
- 4:31which can see things in a timeless place that everything's
- 4:35happening at once and I see the car is going to be hidden. And
- 4:39listen, listen, you know, you got to do something. And Jake,
- 4:42you got you got to put the seatbelt and then to say it
- 4:44twice. And the second time really makes you a believer.
- 4:49Angie Langley: Yes, yes. Um, yeah, I've had, um, I don't
- 4:55know, they, I have them on their toes. Let's just say they did
- 4:59again. I have my Spirit Guides. There. They're on their toes.
- 5:04Yeah. Yeah. I've had I fallen asleep driving one day. And I've
- 5:12heard wake up. And I was like what? Like this and here I am
- 5:16like this close to the ditch. Yeah. So it's, it's, they look
- 5:22after me. So there is a higher
- 5:28Alan Carroll: or higher consciousness and you offer
- 5:29programs, you offer guidance, you offer coaching in order to
- 5:33support people in experiencing those other dimensions of
- 5:37consciousness.
- 5:39Angie Langley: Well, what I do is, I'm a happiness expert. And
- 5:41I specialize in intuitive healing, energy healing, and
- 5:45trauma healing. So what I do is I help professional women who
- 5:51have faced trauma and loss every time they turn around, how to
- 5:55have an amazing breakthrough into their happiness. So they
- 5:59can magnetize the light, they always want it without falling
- 6:02into that old sadness again. So, and some of the women that I
- 6:09work with have been in therapy, and I've had other modalities,
- 6:15and they just get to a certain point. But they, they're stuck
- 6:21there. So they come to me, and I show them how to be in touch
- 6:29with the laws of the universe. How to, sorry, how to magnetize
- 6:37how to, you know, shed their darkness so they can shine their
- 6:42light so they can use the law of attraction to get the things
- 6:46that they want?
- 6:48Alan Carroll: That's great. That's great. I found that Do
- 6:53you have a practice that you do a meditation practice or a
- 6:57mindfulness practice that you have incorporated into your
- 7:00daily practice daily life?
- 7:03Angie Langley: I do. Um, I have a Facebook group of amazing
- 7:09women. And and I have a ultimate happiness blueprint.
- 7:16Alan Carroll: What does that mean? Can I show you what it is?
- 7:19Sure, absolutely, please.
- 7:22Angie Langley: So it's just there. This is the blueprint.
- 7:26Yeah, there's three levels. There's the triage, the tools
- 7:30transform. And each level, there are three steps. So we have
- 7:36assessment, alignment, and awakening for the triage. So let
- 7:47me explain a little bit
- 7:48Alan Carroll: awakening. I like awakening to talk about the
- 7:51awakening process.
- 7:53Angie Langley: The Awakening is becoming aware of what is
- 7:56holding you back. Do you procrastinate sometimes? You
- 8:01bet. Do you kind of doubt yourself sometimes? Sure. Yeah.
- 8:08Well, in the awakening stage, we get rid of all that.
- 8:11Alan Carroll: It goes away. Yeah. So I don't procrastinate
- 8:15anymore. I work harder.
- 8:17Angie Langley: No, you're just more aware of what's holding you
- 8:19back. Like if there's something that you absolutely want to do.
- 8:23Okay. Like today. This was my first pod a palooza. And, of
- 8:32course, I was kind of nervous, you know, because I didn't know
- 8:36what to expect. And it was kind of like, oh, do I really need to
- 8:41do this? Like, maybe I should go here? Or maybe I should go do
- 8:44something else. And I'm thinking No, sure. No, I'm doing this. I
- 8:49signed up for it. I'm doing. So yeah.
- 8:54Alan Carroll: So awakening is becoming aware of the thoughts
- 8:58that you're thinking about the situation that you're in? Yeah.
- 9:01Okay. Yeah. And then we go to the next step,
- 9:06Angie Langley: which is all of the tools. So we educate, where
- 9:12are we, where are we, we educate, and we experiment, and
- 9:16we elevate. So I give you all the tools to release all of that
- 9:23trauma, all that loss, all that darkness.
- 9:26Alan Carroll: What would be an example of a tool that you would
- 9:29that you would give some money to us?
- 9:33Angie Langley: Do you have a toolbox? You bet. So what is the
- 9:37tool that you have in your toolbox?
- 9:40Alan Carroll: I have a screwdriver.
- 9:42Angie Langley: Okay. So with the screwdriver, you're tightening
- 9:46things up, right? That's right. So a lot of people who have
- 9:50trauma, their thoughts are scattered everywhere. So we
- 9:55grabbed that screwdriver, and we're tightening up all those
- 9:59loose thoughts. so they can focus on one thing.
- 10:04Alan Carroll: Okay, so that would be an example of a tool
- 10:07that would allow you to focus your attention and not be
- 10:10distracted. Yes. Okay, cool. Let's go to the third step.
- 10:15Transformation, I think it was wasn't it transform, transform,
- 10:19Angie Langley: that's where all the magic begins to transform is
- 10:25the buffer, the barrier and the boundaries. So when you get up
- 10:30here, you don't have all that darkness, all that trauma, all
- 10:36that baggage is gone. So up here is where we come into our power.
- 10:44Like in the buffer, we notice all the things that are changing
- 10:49inside of us, you know, we're more confident, we're more
- 10:52powerful, we're more decisive. And then we shining our light
- 10:57even more so that we start attracting the things that we
- 11:00want in our lives. So the barrier like if you want more
- 11:05money, no, money is gonna come to you. More opportunities are
- 11:10going to come to you. And all that struggle and worry, it's
- 11:12gonna go away. And then once we get to two or this point, right,
- 11:20we can do some strong boundaries. So when you're
- 11:23there, so you don't go back to the triage.
- 11:28Alan Carroll: Strong boundaries means things you can do to
- 11:31reinforce the tools that you're using over time so that you
- 11:34don't lose the muscle.
- 11:36Angie Langley: Yes. Oh,
- 11:38Alan Carroll: cool. Well, that's very nice. And so I liked the
- 11:43idea of the happiness you talked about happiness expert.
- 11:48Happiness seems to be fleeting, seems to be sometimes I'm happy
- 11:53sometimes I'm not happy. And, and it seems like I would always
- 11:58want to be happy, what if I could choose, I always choose to
- 12:01be happy. And yet times I'm not, I'm not happy. And so I think it
- 12:08would be great to talk a little bit about happiness, and how you
- 12:13define the start with a definition of how you define
- 12:17happiness.
- 12:19Angie Langley: I define happiness is living the life you
- 12:22always want it to be healthy, and strong. And having your own
- 12:33control of your own decisions. Because a lot of people who
- 12:38aren't happy, um, they're sick, they're depressed, they have
- 12:42autoimmune diseases, they have cancer. Right. And, and this all
- 12:49from embedded emotions that have happened from trauma, from loss,
- 12:55could be from past lives could be generational.
- 13:00Alan Carroll: And go into trauma is not just physical trauma,
- 13:05there could be emotional trauma also, correct?
- 13:07Angie Langley: Yeah. Yeah. Because we all our body is kind
- 13:11of like a big sponge, right? We absorb all this stuff. And we
- 13:16just tap it down and tap it down and tap it down until we are not
- 13:21healthy and happy anymore.
- 13:26Alan Carroll: What comes to mind is the idea of, of space and
- 13:33creating space versus condensing and trauma causes a condensing
- 13:39of energy and space creates an opening of the energy and
- 13:43somehow you have to give yourself that that that space
- 13:48and from a psychology point of view I look at it ng is a lot
- 13:52about forgiveness. And being able to forgive that which you
- 13:56consider to be had attacked you or made you scratch you hold
- 14:01that energy of resentment or guilt or grievances all your
- 14:07life what my mother said to me that this day, I never forget
- 14:12what you said to me. And to me that that's not healthy for for
- 14:17what you talked about living in the life I way I would like to
- 14:20live.
- 14:22Angie Langley: That's true. And what are we doing to our kids
- 14:25and our grandkids so we have to break that cycle. And they're
- 14:33gonna be happy.
- 14:35Alan Carroll: And so by you working on yourself by you
- 14:38developing a set of tools and skills that allows you to manage
- 14:42yourself in the energy that you've swept through this chaos
- 14:47to the space and the outer world. In order to achieve that
- 14:50calmness and the clarity that you're talking about. And then
- 14:54putting boundaries limits to hold the hold it in place. It's
- 14:59great how long have you been doing this model?
- 15:03Angie Langley: Um, well, I brought it in by accident.
- 15:07Because this is what I've been doing to heal myself. And I've
- 15:10had, of course, I've done some weird and wonderful things. I
- 15:17learned how to swim when I was 48 years old after almost
- 15:21drowning when I was 16.
- 15:24Alan Carroll: So the trauma of almost drowning was with you
- 15:27until you were 48. And finally, you said, I'm going to face the
- 15:31fear. Yeah,
- 15:33Angie Langley: yes. Something pushed me to it. Right. And I
- 15:35just had to do it. Yeah. Why? I've no idea. But
- 15:40Unknown: well, you survived. Yeah. Yeah. And
- 15:43Angie Langley: I have everything else that was holding me back.
- 15:49Because I was like, okay, you know, something's coming up
- 15:52something big, like this political loser. And it was
- 15:56like, you know, what, if I can jump in to a 12 feet of water,
- 16:03and not drown? I can do.
- 16:06Alan Carroll: Right. Right, right. Being able to have the
- 16:11voice inside your head, be your ally, rather than always
- 16:14defending and protecting. It's pushing, it's pushing you a
- 16:18little bit. Take take a risk. And I think there's Helen Keller
- 16:24talked about life as either a daring adventure or nothing.
- 16:27That's true. And so the you're, we're constantly have an
- 16:32opportunity to push into that danger zone. And, and you did it
- 16:39and you survived, which then gives you experience in order to
- 16:45take that experience to the next boundary, the next barrier and
- 16:48go, Oh, my God, my God. Well, I did it once. Maybe I can do it
- 16:52again.
- 16:52Angie Langley: I can do it again. Right. And then I use
- 16:55this experience to help other women too, right? So um, and of
- 16:59course, I posted all these accomplishments on my Facebook
- 17:03profile. And I've had women say, Okay, how did you do that? Like,
- 17:09I have this issue, what do I do? And I'm like, Well, I don't
- 17:14know, all I did was this. And then I had a woman, she told me,
- 17:20you know, you transformed my life. I wouldn't be where I am
- 17:25today without you. Right? I'm thinking, Well, how many more
- 17:29women can I help? Right? So this is how it began, I just started
- 17:35to evolve all of my experience, all of my fields, all the
- 17:41experts that I've worked with all of my knowledge, and my
- 17:44guests, you know, and I just bundled them all up into the
- 17:48ultimate happiness blueprint, and I'm changing lives.
- 17:54Alan Carroll: Yep, yep. And therefore, that gives you the
- 17:57courage to do the PATA Palooza to push the uncomfortable
- 18:03envelope because you're not doing it for you. You're doing
- 18:05it for all the women who haven't had the opportunity to
- 18:09experience the things that you've experienced. And, and
- 18:13that is, that that's God's work. That's, that's the work of
- 18:18spiritual people on the planet, in order to reduce the
- 18:21suffering, or the dissatisfaction that people
- 18:24experienced. And so you found your passion. I have that's
- 18:29wonderful. That's wonderful. Yeah.
- 18:31Angie Langley: And no many people do. Right. So
- 18:34Alan Carroll: well, you're, I don't meet a lot of people who
- 18:38are, who are happy. They meet a lot of people who have
- 18:45complaints, which is not the path pathway that I know to
- 18:49happiness. But they complain a lot. And that, that's, that's
- 18:55like the opposite of happy happiness is going the way I
- 18:58want it to go. Not the way I don't want it to go. It's not
- 19:00going the way I want it to go. Well, that's not happy.
- 19:04Angie Langley: No, your happiness very sad again, it's
- 19:07just blocking their happiness.
- 19:09Alan Carroll: Right? Right. The thoughts that you have in your
- 19:14mind are, are like paint on the canvas. And you paint the
- 19:20canvas, whatever the thought saw, your thinking becomes the
- 19:23mind's eye canvas. And that's the canvas that I use to look at
- 19:27you. And I if I see someone if I paint you, I like you, then
- 19:32Angie, you're a wonderful person. I really I really enjoy
- 19:34talking with you. If I paint it that I don't like you because
- 19:37you're wearing a blue dress like my mother wore when I was three
- 19:40years old, and she really beat the heck out of me. wears a blue
- 19:44dress bow I hate right away. But I don't even know you that kind
- 19:48of unconsciousness that. Why are you not connecting with NGO's? I
- 19:54don't know, but I just don't use a bad person. I was just a
- 19:57trigger. Yeah, it triggers it right. It triggers it So I
- 20:01appreciate you taking the time to share with my audience some
- 20:04of some of your journey. And when we want to connect with you
- 20:07in the future, what are the best ways that my audience can
- 20:11connect with you?
- 20:13Angie Langley: I have a Facebook group called soul force
- 20:17sisterhood group. And I can post the links to my calendar if you
- 20:24want to chat. And, yeah,
- 20:28Alan Carroll: good. So what I do is why take all the things that
- 20:32you want to promote website and broadcast it out to the world.
- 20:38And when we send the podcast out, there's show notes, and the
- 20:42show notes include all the links of the speaker that is on his on
- 20:45the podcast. So the more information let me give you my
- 20:48email address that you can send over to me. Okay. Allen, ala en
- 20:57that a CA. Mindful, M I N D fu lu.com. And if you send me all
- 21:08that information, I will make sure that my team who's managing
- 21:13all the logistics gets in and can put into the right places so
- 21:16we can get the maximum view of of the audience.
- 21:22Angie Langley: Okay, great, because I have a love and
- 21:24happiness challenge coming up just before Valentine's so
- 21:28Alan Carroll: great, so we can promote that for you. Yeah.
- 21:32Wonderful son. Well, I'm glad that you survived the podcast.
- 21:37I'm glad that used that. You got to the potty Palooza, you are
- 21:41now stronger than you were in the morning. And so because you
- 21:44have courage and you took a chance and you walk you walked
- 21:48the talk.
- 21:51Angie Langley: Well, you have to write if you want to teach it,
- 21:53you have to do it.
- 21:55Alan Carroll: Well, and you found your passion mean, you
- 21:56talked about that you most people aren't in touch with
- 22:01their purpose. What am I doing here on the planet? This time
- 22:05around? What do you mean? What am I doing on the planet?
- 22:08Angie Langley: So what I was at that point in my life, I didn't
- 22:12know what in the world. I wanted to do. It just kind of evolved
- 22:19to do. Yeah.
- 22:22Alan Carroll: And here you are. You now know how to swim you
- 22:25write you write books, you do Facebook, you are active in the
- 22:29world. You help help other women. I mean, it's your you are
- 22:34a teacher, a healer, doing doing great work in the world. Thank
- 22:40you. Thank you for doing all the great work that you're doing.
- 22:43Angie Langley: Well, thank you.
- 22:45Alan Carroll: And I want to connect in the future. I'm gonna
- 22:49write down what's the best phone number? Angie for you.
- 22:53Angie Langley: My number is 1-902-799-9056.
- 23:03Alan Carroll: And what, where is this?
- 23:06Angie Langley: I am in Nova Scotia, Canada,
- 23:09Alan Carroll: Nova Scotia. I've not been to Nova Scotia, but
- 23:13that's one of the provinces I remember from school. It's the
- 23:16one of the small ones. And it's an island
- 23:19Angie Langley: like, yes, we look like a whale. Well, at
- 23:26least you know where I'm at.
- 23:29Alan Carroll: I've seen pictures in National Geographic, at least
- 23:31in the summertime. It look really really pretty.
- 23:34Angie Langley: It's beautiful here. Yeah.
- 23:36Alan Carroll: peaceful, calm.
- 23:38Angie Langley: Yes, sometimes. Yeah. Most of the time. Whether
- 23:44I'm right now. It's just raining. me this time of year we
- 23:50have about two feet of snow. So we may get that. Yep. Who knows?
- 23:56That's
- 23:57Alan Carroll: got it. Well, I enjoyed Angie talking with you.
- 24:01Thank you very much for being a guest on my podcast mindful you.
- 24:04Have a wonderful day. And I gotta go back to the to the
- 24:07main, the main stage. And I'll be talking to everybody,
- 24:11probably around 535 My time, which is East Coast time. So
- 24:17let's take three hours away. Maybe that's 235 Your time. And
- 24:22I'll be talking about a topic that I think you would like it's
- 24:25a same same genre of information.
- 24:29Angie Langley: Oh, cool. I can't wait. Okay.
- 24:31Alan Carroll: Thank you very much, Angie,
- 24:33Angie Langley: thank you for having me. Bye bye. Bye.
