- 0:10Speaker 1: suit on, looking back to back down, giving them more
- 0:15Speaker 1: like the milan buck things in the cubbing good it,
- 0:21Speaker 1: Steh listening to the movie together for study. I don't
- 0:38Speaker 1: join joining me. You gotta turn you, you gotta turn
- 1:40Speaker 1: the turnour got to turn out. Then turn the water,
- 1:47Speaker 1: the water go me. Come come on your fad uh huh,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I sure will a good morning everybody. You are listening
- 2:05Speaker 1: to the VARs, come on dig me now, one and only.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man, oh man, oh man?
- 2:13Speaker 1: How good is God to me? And part of the
- 2:16Speaker 1: mission and the reason that I have a radio show
- 2:20Speaker 1: is to become a share of more and more of
- 2:23Speaker 1: a share of you know. I used to hear my
- 2:26Speaker 1: mother say it to me all the time. But God
- 2:28Speaker 1: blesses you to become a blessing. And I think the
- 2:31Speaker 1: more you understand that about yourself, I think the more
- 2:34Speaker 1: blessings will flow your way. I think that once you
- 2:37Speaker 1: understand the principle, that you know it. But it's kind
- 2:42Speaker 1: of tied together with some other scriptures, and I'm not
- 2:45Speaker 1: too knowledgeable about them, of course, as usual, but I
- 2:49Speaker 1: do know what I've heard you know, and you know
- 2:52Speaker 1: if you look at something simple as do unto others
- 2:54Speaker 1: as you would have them do unto you, wouldn't you
- 2:58Speaker 1: want somebody to help you if you needed help. I
- 3:02Speaker 1: just know how to get it down there to where
- 3:04Speaker 1: I've been able to understand it. If there's a scripture
- 3:08Speaker 1: similar that it says do unto others as you would
- 3:12Speaker 1: have them do unto you, or if that's you know
- 3:17Speaker 1: in a prayer, would not you want somebody to help
- 3:21Speaker 1: you if you needed help? You've heard you reap what
- 3:27Speaker 1: you sow. Do you understand that if you so discord,
- 3:33Speaker 1: that discord is gonna come your way. That if you hate,
- 3:37Speaker 1: hate gonna come your way. If you blog nothing but
- 3:41Speaker 1: negative comments about people, your life will be filled with negativity.
- 3:46Speaker 1: If all you do is talk about people, then guess
- 3:48Speaker 1: what somebody got to turn that gun around and talk
- 3:51Speaker 1: about you. See, it just stands to reasons. So what
- 3:56Speaker 1: I've learned in my life and through all the miles
- 4:00Speaker 1: and tribulations that I've had, is to take those lessons
- 4:05Speaker 1: and share them with people in case you ain't heard
- 4:07Speaker 1: it from somebody else. See sometimes and the reason it
- 4:11Speaker 1: seems like I'm redundant at times, is what I am
- 4:15Speaker 1: is because I'm always trying to find a different way
- 4:18Speaker 1: to say the same thing. Because it's a funny thing. Man,
- 4:22Speaker 1: You got to hear it a certain way for it
- 4:24Speaker 1: to click with you. How many times have I heard
- 4:30Speaker 1: a saying and then I heard it a different way
- 4:34Speaker 1: that it clicked with me? You know, I've heard of
- 4:39Speaker 1: this saying right here, remember this now, everybody's not happy
- 4:43Speaker 1: for you. We've all heard that, right, everybody's not happy
- 4:46Speaker 1: for you. Well, that's very simple that I don't need
- 4:50Speaker 1: no explanation. That simply means of all the people you
- 4:55Speaker 1: know or do not know, when something happens to you
- 4:58Speaker 1: and you celebrating, everybody's not going to join in on
- 5:02Speaker 1: the celebration. That's all that is. But then you take
- 5:06Speaker 1: it one step further. My father used to say something
- 5:08Speaker 1: to me all the time. He says, son, everybody come
- 5:11Speaker 1: with you, can't go with you. I didn't get that
- 5:13Speaker 1: when I was fifteen. Everybody come with you can't go
- 5:16Speaker 1: with you. He said, you're gonna lose some of these
- 5:18Speaker 1: friends you got along the way. But I don't care
- 5:21Speaker 1: where you get in life. No, this right here, everybody
- 5:25Speaker 1: can't go with you. If you are constantly trying to
- 5:28Speaker 1: improve yourself, you constantly have to take assessment of the
- 5:32Speaker 1: people around you. Because if you are going to continue
- 5:35Speaker 1: to go and continue to grow, then guess what you
- 5:39Speaker 1: got to have people that's on the goal and willing
- 5:41Speaker 1: to grow, or else guess what you're gonna learn the
- 5:47Speaker 1: valuable lesson. You know, the late boxing promoter Butch Lewis.
- 5:51Speaker 1: I was talking with Butch Lewis one time, and man
- 5:55Speaker 1: with a good brother man, he say, every successful man's
- 5:59Speaker 1: doing what I call he got rope work to do.
- 6:02Speaker 1: He got rope work to do. He got to put
- 6:05Speaker 1: in work on rope. And I'm sitting there listening to
- 6:09Speaker 1: Butch Lewis and all the money he had made and
- 6:11Speaker 1: all the people's lives he had changed, and all of
- 6:13Speaker 1: the moves he was making, and his incredible skills as
- 6:17Speaker 1: a negotiator on behalf of some very very wealthy people.
- 6:20Speaker 1: He was just an amazing man with no education. But
- 6:24Speaker 1: he read everything. He Butch Lewis read all that, all
- 6:27Speaker 1: the papers, all the periodicals. That brother knew everything. He said,
- 6:31Speaker 1: you got to put in rope. And I was sitting
- 6:34Speaker 1: there listening. He said, here is the analogy, little brother.
- 6:37Speaker 1: He said, you are on rope. There's a thick rope.
- 6:41Speaker 1: You have on no shirt, you have on some tattered clothes.
- 6:45Speaker 1: You have on no shoes. Your shorts is cut off
- 6:49Speaker 1: just below the knee, and they tattered, and you got
- 6:52Speaker 1: dirt on you and you're sweating. There's this huge, huge
- 6:55Speaker 1: raw rope over your shoulder that's burn marks on all
- 6:59Speaker 1: of your shoulder. Connected to that rope is a wagon.
- 7:03Speaker 1: That wagon has all your weight on it, all your responsibilities,
- 7:09Speaker 1: all the people you're responsible for, all your children, your wife,
- 7:13Speaker 1: your family members, your employees, your coworkers, your friends. They
- 7:19Speaker 1: all on that wagon. Man, they're just sitting there. He's saying,
- 7:23Speaker 1: what you gotta do is you gotta pull that wagon
- 7:26Speaker 1: up the heel. The only thing with it is, can't
- 7:28Speaker 1: nobody help you pull your wagon. You pull your wagon alone.
- 7:33Speaker 1: He saying, Now, what you can do along the way
- 7:36Speaker 1: of pulling your wagon, as you can find yourself a
- 7:39Speaker 1: good wife, a good woman. He's saying that what that
- 7:41Speaker 1: woman does is she get down off the wagon. She
- 7:45Speaker 1: fan you while you pull it. She put water on
- 7:47Speaker 1: you while you pull it. She put stuff in your
- 7:50Speaker 1: mouth while you pull it. She kicked rocks out the
- 7:52Speaker 1: way while you pull it. But she but she pull
- 7:55Speaker 1: it for you. But she is equally as important as
- 7:58Speaker 1: you are on the pull of the rope. He said,
- 8:00Speaker 1: you hear me clearly now, young soldier. He said, NA
- 8:03Speaker 1: get this hell, He says, people on your wagon that
- 8:06Speaker 1: you're responsible for. But you want the people on your
- 8:10Speaker 1: wagon to help you get your wagon to the top.
- 8:13Speaker 1: So what you hope is that they got their foot
- 8:16Speaker 1: hanging over the side pushing, They got one leg over
- 8:19Speaker 1: the back, or maybe both legs over the back pushing.
- 8:23Speaker 1: They got they might have their butt on the wagon,
- 8:25Speaker 1: but they push you with both legs. They're back facing
- 8:28Speaker 1: your back, maybe some of them facing you when one
- 8:30Speaker 1: of them got left leg hanging over trying to push.
- 8:32Speaker 1: And you hope that all the people on the wagon
- 8:35Speaker 1: you pull it is back there at least trying to
- 8:38Speaker 1: help the wagon get to the top of the hill.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Here goes your problem. Though everybody ain't pushing, everybody ain't pulling,
- 8:45Speaker 1: ain't bear, everybody ain't pulling, Everybody ain't kicking rocks out
- 8:48Speaker 1: the way. You got some people on your wagon that's
- 8:51Speaker 1: just laying on the wagon drinking lemonade, looking at you,
- 8:56Speaker 1: talking about how long it's taking you to get your
- 8:58Speaker 1: wagon up to the top, looking at you, telling my
- 9:01Speaker 1: whitest wagon, so slow. Then when you start picking up
- 9:04Speaker 1: picking up speed, they want you to pull harder, you
- 9:07Speaker 1: to pull faster, you to pull mole. Then they want
- 9:10Speaker 1: you to throw what you then earned on the way
- 9:12Speaker 1: up the hill backed on the wagon so they can
- 9:15Speaker 1: have MO. But guess what, they ain't helping you get more.
- 9:18Speaker 1: But they got a sense of entitlement that since you
- 9:20Speaker 1: got mold, they should have MO. Everybody come with you
- 9:24Speaker 1: can't go with you. Sometimes you gotta kick the people
- 9:27Speaker 1: off the wagon that ain't pushing and pull it and say,
- 9:30Speaker 1: hey man, I'm sorry. I thought I could do this
- 9:33Speaker 1: with you, and I thought you was going with me.
- 9:35Speaker 1: But it's clear to me you ain't nothing but dead weight.
- 9:38Speaker 1: And it ain't my responsibility to carry dead weight anymore.
- 9:41Speaker 1: I have carried you as long as I have to
- 9:43Speaker 1: carry you. You are no longer my responsibility. I'm responsible
- 9:48Speaker 1: for my family, my wife, my children. I'm not responsible
- 9:51Speaker 1: for you. You got to get off my wagon because
- 9:53Speaker 1: I'm a man on rope. I'm on a mission, baby,
- 9:56Speaker 1: I'm pulling. You're listening show, Ladies and gentlemen, please please
- 10:03Speaker 1: your undivided attention. Steve Harvey Martin Show about to kick off,
- 10:07Speaker 1: and today's show is dedicated to that person of most
- 10:14Speaker 1: importance and we all have them in our lives. Today's
- 10:18Speaker 1: show is dedicated to the people who come and tell
- 10:22Speaker 1: you they have a hard out, anybody who comes to
- 10:29Speaker 1: you and tells you listen, this has to be finished
- 10:33Speaker 1: at this time. This show is dedicated to people with
- 10:37Speaker 1: what's called in our business, a hard out out. How
- 10:42Speaker 1: many times I've been on my show, man and some
- 10:44Speaker 1: guest of little importance comes in and wants the whole
- 10:50Speaker 1: show to be wrapped around because they have a hard out?
- 10:55Speaker 1: You know? How many times out of hand that on
- 10:57Speaker 1: my show? Oh I'm sure y'all, ain't y'all have? Oh Doc?
- 11:01Speaker 1: The people that have come on my set and with
- 11:04Speaker 1: excuse me, and it's usually the publish is usually not
- 11:07Speaker 1: even that person. They have a hard out. It not
- 11:10Speaker 1: be going really really really stop that, ladies and gentlemen,
- 11:15Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show has a hard end. We're on
- 11:20Speaker 1: right now. Shirley st Hey, Good morning, Steve, Colin Farrell,
- 11:26Speaker 1: good morning, what's up, crew, I'm gonna say good morning
- 11:29Speaker 1: to somebody that never say good morning too, but I
- 11:31Speaker 1: want y'all to hear her, boy Monica Barns, good morning,
- 11:35Speaker 1: hey By. Just thought y'all wouldn't wanted to hear what
- 11:42Speaker 1: Junior morning, morning, nephew, Timmy top top top baby, Thursday morning, Uncle, Steve.
- 11:51Speaker 1: That's what it is. It is. It is boy ball boy.
- 11:56Speaker 1: Interesting game yesterday. That well, the verdict, the president. Oh yeah,
- 12:04Speaker 1: the dude, I mean not the verdict, yeah, the sentence,
- 12:09Speaker 1: the sentencing, the sentencing, the punishment, and you're talking about
- 12:13Speaker 1: the president going off tweeting, I ain't watch it. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 12:22Speaker 1: yeah yeah yeah yeah no lost it, lost it. Yeah.
- 12:25Speaker 1: But you know, man, it's it's it's just I can't
- 12:28Speaker 1: even believe what they're doing. But then I can, but
- 12:32Speaker 1: then you can exactly exactly, Steve. It's but it is
- 12:36Speaker 1: the most blatant show of Here's here's what throws me
- 12:40Speaker 1: about the Republican Party. Their beloved Constitution, that their beloved
- 12:46Speaker 1: forefathers wrote that they hang on their walls and they
- 12:51Speaker 1: put it in your face when it comes to anything,
- 12:54Speaker 1: anything at all, if it comes to freedom of speech,
- 12:57Speaker 1: if it comes to the second of men meant to
- 13:00Speaker 1: write to bear arms. They weighed that constitution, but when
- 13:03Speaker 1: one of them violates the constitution, they stopped waving it.
- 13:08Speaker 1: They put it right now, they set it down, act
- 13:10Speaker 1: like they never read it. Don't give a damn what's
- 13:16Speaker 1: in that constitution. He'd do what he want to do.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morner Show will address it all today. What
- 13:22Speaker 1: you got, Sharley, Well, you know Bernie Sanders too is
- 13:25Speaker 1: a little um oh yeah, yeah, yeah, all right, but
- 13:29Speaker 1: we'll be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 13:31Speaker 1: Show coming up at thirty two after the hour, talk
- 13:33Speaker 1: about more political news and Bernie Sanders right after this.
- 13:36Speaker 1: You're listening to show, all right, So Democratic President Joe
- 13:42Speaker 1: Canada to Bernie Sanders has canceled all campaign appearances due
- 13:46Speaker 1: to a health issue. Bernie, of course is mister Sanders.
- 13:49Speaker 1: I should say it's seventy eight years old. He was
- 13:51Speaker 1: hospitalized in Las Vegas last night after experiencing chest pains.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Doctors discovered a block to artery and inserted too. Then
- 14:00Speaker 1: Bernie's campaign says he's resting comfortably now is and is
- 14:05Speaker 1: in good spirits. It has cleared his schedule until further notice. Wow,
- 14:10Speaker 1: he is, he's cleared his schedule now, so he needs
- 14:13Speaker 1: some rest. Yeah, seventy eight, he is the oldest. Yeah
- 14:16Speaker 1: he Sidney. Yeah yeah, he has to recover. Yeah he
- 14:20Speaker 1: really does get well. Yeah, Yeah, he's gonna it's gonna
- 14:23Speaker 1: take a minute now. I wish him well though, I
- 14:24Speaker 1: really do. And campaigning it's hard. I mean, this is
- 14:27Speaker 1: not easy. Okay, Yeah, it's they've been doing this for
- 14:31Speaker 1: I mean it's going to be over a year when
- 14:33Speaker 1: it's all said and done. You know, he did it before,
- 14:36Speaker 1: and he did it before. Yeah. Yeah, So you got
- 14:40Speaker 1: to be in some shape, don't you. You need to
- 14:42Speaker 1: be fit. Huh. Yeah, well you know, I mean it's
- 14:45Speaker 1: it's mentally grinding, you know. I mean you got same questions.
- 14:50Speaker 1: You got to speak to crowds of people. You gotta
- 14:52Speaker 1: do interviews, you gotta debates, you got to raise money. Yeah,
- 14:56Speaker 1: you know, he is stressful. He stressed very much. So
- 14:59Speaker 1: you you have in trouble getting in and out the
- 15:01Speaker 1: CARDI and your hands don't need to be president. That
- 15:04Speaker 1: ain't distress. We're talking about the problem. Rocking your way out. Yeah, people,
- 15:19Speaker 1: mister president, get out the car. We're here. Yeah, it's
- 15:29Speaker 1: a bit visual right now. Oh my coat, give me
- 15:34Speaker 1: your head, boy, let my arm go. This is what
- 15:38Speaker 1: you don't want to hear from you. Yeah, who has
- 15:40Speaker 1: the presidential in halom? Oh? Gosh yeah, who has the presidentially? Yeah?
- 15:47Speaker 1: But we wish him the best. A speedy recovery for
- 15:50Speaker 1: Bernie Sands, definitely, yeah, mister president, mister president, do you
- 15:54Speaker 1: have your night? Wow? All right, go out there and
- 15:58Speaker 1: get them tiger. I remember six minutes. I'll throw another one.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Catch it with your mouth. Got the president up there
- 16:08Speaker 1: like he all sealed, trying to catch his mads and
- 16:13Speaker 1: other political news guys. President Trump accuses the Democrats of
- 16:17Speaker 1: wasting everyone's time and energy on b S. Yeah he
- 16:21Speaker 1: said it, well, but he said it Tommy, just dude, Yeah,
- 16:27Speaker 1: I don't care say it again. On what did he do?
- 16:30Speaker 1: Didn't didn't he What do you do with the girl? Well, girl,
- 16:34Speaker 1: stormy stormy day from his pres Oh he did all
- 16:41Speaker 1: that though, ain't nothing, but he's the president. Come on
- 16:48Speaker 1: for Sureley, did you see what he was talking about
- 16:50Speaker 1: Pompey versus Adam Shift and how qualified Pompey was and
- 16:54Speaker 1: then he said Adam Shift couldn't carry his blank strap.
- 16:58Speaker 1: And you know, I don't want to use the word
- 16:59Speaker 1: because think I'm so awful, but he couldn't carry his
- 17:03Speaker 1: blank strap. And you know what I mean, Dog, if
- 17:06Speaker 1: you're gonna type out the whole word b asked, I
- 17:10Speaker 1: think it's okay to say jock strappy, I really do. Dog.
- 17:16Speaker 1: You got the dumbest way of deciding horse fair at
- 17:20Speaker 1: what eight horse best and horse not? That's why, Man,
- 17:24Speaker 1: when you get a person that's never been poor, that's
- 17:27Speaker 1: never served people, that's never had to care for anyone,
- 17:30Speaker 1: he can't govern a nation of people who need things.
- 17:33Speaker 1: He can't, Nope, because if you need anything, you cannot
- 17:38Speaker 1: expect to get it from a person who's never needed nothing.
- 17:41Speaker 1: He doesn't understand that kind of need. Also Steve, during
- 17:44Speaker 1: yesterday's press conference, take a listen when journalists Jeff Majors
- 17:48Speaker 1: asked the president what does he want Ukraine's president does
- 17:51Speaker 1: Zelensky to do about issues with Joe Biden and his
- 17:54Speaker 1: son Hunter. Take a listen. We have the president of
- 17:57Speaker 1: Finland ask him a question. I have one for him.
- 17:59Speaker 1: I just wanted to follow up on the one that
- 18:00Speaker 1: I asked you, which did you hear me. You want
- 18:02Speaker 1: did you hear me? Ask him a question? I will,
- 18:05Speaker 1: but giving you a long answer. Ask this gentleman a question.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Don't be rude. No, sorry, I don't want to be rude.
- 18:12Speaker 1: I just wanted you to have a chance to answer
- 18:13Speaker 1: the question that I asked to answer. Everything it's a
- 18:16Speaker 1: whole hoax. And you know who's playing into the hoax,
- 18:19Speaker 1: people like you and the fake news media that we
- 18:21Speaker 1: have in this country. And I say, in many cases
- 18:24Speaker 1: the corrupt media, because you're corrupt. Much of the media
- 18:27Speaker 1: in this country is not just fake, it's corrupt. And
- 18:30Speaker 1: you have some very fine people too, great journalists, great reporters,
- 18:35Speaker 1: but to a large extent, it's corrupt and it's fake.
- 18:39Speaker 1: Ask the president of Finland the question. Please, no, I
- 18:43Speaker 1: won't that rect or run out right now? So now
- 18:46Speaker 1: now you canna tell me how to do my job.
- 18:48Speaker 1: You gonna tell me how to do Here's a problem
- 18:51Speaker 1: when this president keep talking about something is fake and
- 18:55Speaker 1: something is corrupt, and you can put that up in
- 18:58Speaker 1: the same sensence. This is the same time when he
- 19:01Speaker 1: said he's coming to DC to drain the swamp. Well,
- 19:07Speaker 1: he drained the swamp. He filled it with all new creatures.
- 19:12Speaker 1: He has the most corrupt administration in the history of
- 19:17Speaker 1: this government. More people that work for him are doing
- 19:22Speaker 1: time and have had positions with him who are now
- 19:27Speaker 1: doing time right now, and some now are facing time. Yeah.
- 19:35Speaker 1: So when you talk about corrupt this this has a
- 19:41Speaker 1: lot of nerves. The sad part about all of this
- 19:44Speaker 1: is that the staunch Republican, the Donald Trump supporter, doesn't
- 19:49Speaker 1: care what he does. And I just ask people, I
- 19:52Speaker 1: wanted this. This is the president of the United States.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Would any of you want your son to grow up
- 19:59Speaker 1: to be Hill? No, m easy, he's a He's a bully.
- 20:08Speaker 1: This dude, call Michael Cohl. Did you all see the
- 20:13Speaker 1: meme that was going around? Uh? Did you send it to? Somebody?
- 20:17Speaker 1: Send it? The President Trump wanted to know who the
- 20:20Speaker 1: whistle blower was and it turned out to be Millennia
- 20:24Speaker 1: the first time who all right? Coming up next and
- 20:31Speaker 1: is a nephew with running that prank? Back right after
- 20:33Speaker 1: this you're listening, Hell, it's up everybody, It's Junior. And
- 20:40Speaker 1: I know you've heard me talking about the General insurance.
- 20:42Speaker 1: The General has affordable auto insurance at great low rates.
- 20:46Speaker 1: When you choose the General, you get low monthly payments,
- 20:49Speaker 1: a low down payment, and your choice of payment do
- 20:52Speaker 1: date plus. The General offers the right level of coverage
- 20:55Speaker 1: to suit your needs, whether that means liability or full coverage.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Call eight hundred General or visit the General dot com
- 21:01Speaker 1: to find out more. Some restrictions apply. For a great
- 21:04Speaker 1: little rate you can get online. Go to the General
- 21:07Speaker 1: and say sometime coming up at the top of the
- 21:11Speaker 1: hour and entertainment news that judge denies bail for r.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Kelly and sets a date for his federal trial. Beyonce
- 21:17Speaker 1: and Solange's father, Matthew Knowles has breast cancer. We'll talk
- 21:21Speaker 1: about all of that at the top of the hour

- 22:16Speaker 1: actually I think signed up for it. I'm not sure
- 22:18Speaker 1: that's why I asked you, but I think I saw

- 22:38Speaker 1: Sylvia was mine, you know, my high school sweetheart, and
- 22:43Speaker 1: we you know, we dated from ninth grade to freshman
- 22:45Speaker 1: year in college. And I wanted to see if, you know,
- 22:48Speaker 1: if if it was cool with you, you know, if
- 22:51Speaker 1: you didn't mind me escorting her to the twenty five
- 22:53Speaker 1: year class reunion doing what. Let me say that again,
- 22:58Speaker 1: Like I say, man, my name is Ken kid that
- 23:01Speaker 1: I got that part. I'm trying to make sure I
- 23:03Speaker 1: heard right what you said. Yeah, I said that I
- 23:06Speaker 1: Sylvia and I were high school sweethearts. Man. I was
- 23:09Speaker 1: you know, from ninth grade all the way to freshman
- 23:11Speaker 1: year in college. We dated each other. Okay, yeah, yeah,
- 23:13Speaker 1: I got I got that. But what did you ask me?
- 23:15Speaker 1: I asked you if if it was all right for
- 23:18Speaker 1: if you didn't mind if I escorted her to the
- 23:21Speaker 1: twenty five year class for union. Are you related to him? No?
- 23:25Speaker 1: I mean no, I'm not related to I just told
- 23:27Speaker 1: ya I was in a high school sweetheart. No, man,
- 23:29Speaker 1: I'm saying, nobody gonna be askooling my wife nowhere. I
- 23:32Speaker 1: put the ring on my finger. You said you was
- 23:33Speaker 1: you was a high school sweetheart. Yeah, I mean we
- 23:35Speaker 1: was together from you know, ninth grade, all the way
- 23:37Speaker 1: to month to freshman year in college. You know, so
- 23:40Speaker 1: that was that wasn't the past. But I'm sorry to
- 23:43Speaker 1: let you know that, but that was in the past.
- 23:45Speaker 1: I'm the president, so I don't even much think she's
- 23:46Speaker 1: gonna be interested in trying to go nowhere with you
- 23:48Speaker 1: went away. Hey man, what I'm trying to explain to you?
- 23:50Speaker 1: This is something innocent though, Man, this just me taking
- 23:53Speaker 1: her to you know, you know, I thought she might
- 23:54Speaker 1: get a kick out of us going together. You know,
- 23:57Speaker 1: I don't know what's wrong with you. I hadn't told you.
- 23:59Speaker 1: If it's going to one ire for the phone on
- 24:01Speaker 1: the other one, she ain't going nowhere? What you do?
- 24:04Speaker 1: I need to break it down anymore? Hey man, you

- 24:16Speaker 1: can you take my wife to the damn class reunion?
- 24:19Speaker 1: And expect me to be okay with that? What kind
- 24:21Speaker 1: of damned food is that to call somebody ask can
- 24:24Speaker 1: you take the wife to a class reunion? Hey man?
- 24:26Speaker 1: That was my high school sweetheart, all right, we had
- 24:29Speaker 1: we asked something. I was our first, Okay, I was
- 24:32Speaker 1: our first dog. If you was the first thing, I'm
- 24:34Speaker 1: the last and I'm the only one. So we're gonna
- 24:36Speaker 1: leave it at that. How about that partner? It's whatever, man,
- 24:40Speaker 1: you know what, man, I try to call you and
- 24:42Speaker 1: talk to you like a man. But you know what

- 24:59Speaker 1: the head and call. Well, that's what I'm gonna do
- 25:01Speaker 1: because Sylvia can make a decision on what Sylvia want
- 25:03Speaker 1: to do. I can tell you what thing Sylvia do,
- 25:06Speaker 1: what Sylvia want to do. But Sylvia, it ain't interested
- 25:08Speaker 1: in you. Man. This is not about being interested in me. Man.
- 25:11Speaker 1: This is innocent. This is just me and her going
- 25:14Speaker 1: to the damn class reunion together. Man. And it ain't
- 25:17Speaker 1: like we're gonna go do something together. Man, on a
- 25:20Speaker 1: physical level. We're just going to have for trying my clue.

- 26:13Speaker 1: come to this class reunion and I will your man,

- 26:19Speaker 1: class reunion. You understand what I'm saying. Your wife don't
- 26:22Speaker 1: gonna want to go to the reunion with me. How

- 26:25Speaker 1: I'd have told you, man, don't get me act the
- 26:27Speaker 1: quas ufter here. I'd have told you now. I said first,
- 26:29Speaker 1: I'm gonna come to the class when you but I

- 26:37Speaker 1: they got all kind of ain't filed or some of it,
- 26:39Speaker 1: but I'll find you. This is innocent, man, Me and
- 26:42Speaker 1: her going to the reunion is innocent. And she want
- 26:44Speaker 1: to be able to decide if she want to go
- 26:45Speaker 1: with me or not. I ain't not about to your
- 26:48Speaker 1: sounds trife anyway called somebody talking about a class re union.

- 27:11Speaker 1: to me except to hit it clicking your heel. Right,
- 27:14Speaker 1: I got one more damn thing to say to you,
- 27:15Speaker 1: and then I'm gonna get off the phone. I'm gonna
- 27:17Speaker 1: be through with it, man, I'm gonna be about to
- 27:18Speaker 1: say to me. What what's you gotta say to me for?
- 27:22Speaker 1: I hang up? I got this to say to you.
- 27:24Speaker 1: This is nephew Tommy from the Steve Harbin Morning Show.
- 27:28Speaker 1: Your wife Sylvia got me to prank phone call you serious, man,

- 28:46Speaker 1: thank you, nephew. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 28:48Speaker 1: Entertainment and National news right after this, you're listening Day
- 28:54Speaker 1: Morning show. In today's Entertainment news, you asked. District judge
- 28:59Speaker 1: and Donnelly denied bail for r Kelly, citing risk of flight,
- 29:04Speaker 1: history of alleged obstruction. Oh, I see where they really
- 29:09Speaker 1: think r Kelly roue us. Yeah, they says, citing risk
- 29:13Speaker 1: of of you know, he might fly. You know, you
- 29:17Speaker 1: got a song clock get out. Yeah, I can believe
- 29:19Speaker 1: I could fly before before he tried to go overseas
- 29:25Speaker 1: to tours. So that's why they cited that when he
- 29:29Speaker 1: tried to do that. So they're like, nah, you're trying
- 29:31Speaker 1: to still do concerts and stuff, so that's why they're
- 29:33Speaker 1: saying a flight risk. Yeah, and you know, Sir Robert's
- 29:36Speaker 1: Holme detention request was denied. Okay. The judge also set
- 29:41Speaker 1: a trial date for the r Kelly trial in regard
- 29:45Speaker 1: to the five federal charges he faces for racketeering and
- 29:48Speaker 1: sex trafficking crimes, alleging he abused women and girls for
- 29:52Speaker 1: two decades two decades from nineteen ninety eight to twenty
- 29:56Speaker 1: eighteen in three different states. That's Minnesota, Knowing, and New York.
- 30:02Speaker 1: His trial date is set for May eighteenth of next year.
- 30:05Speaker 1: Oh god, that's my birthday. Oh hell no, we gotta
- 30:08Speaker 1: move that. He got to get off my damn birthday.
- 30:10Speaker 1: He can't be May eighteenth. Damn, that's what your birthday? Yeah,
- 30:18Speaker 1: his trial is next May na be the whole time.
- 30:23Speaker 1: Sounds like it, she denied fi. I mean, but think
- 30:27Speaker 1: about it. You know, he's charged with crimes for abusing
- 30:31Speaker 1: women for two decades, women and girls from nine visits. Right, man,
- 30:38Speaker 1: that's really big. So I mean May eighteenth, you know,
- 30:42Speaker 1: stop saying that we're gonna move that. I'm gonna talk
- 30:45Speaker 1: to the jug you're moving that. Her name is Anne donnad.
- 30:48Speaker 1: Next year, Robert gonna lose so much weight in him,
- 30:53Speaker 1: we're not gonna recognize. Is that is? That's that's all?
- 30:57Speaker 1: Really all? Really? What's wrong with wow? Mm yeah? So
- 31:02Speaker 1: uh yeah, man, So start until May. That's the teen
- 31:08Speaker 1: May eighteen two election year next year, so he wow, okay,

- 31:33Speaker 1: tool like a little bit. What's gonna be one place,
- 31:37Speaker 1: one state and then they're gonna do all of it there.
- 31:40Speaker 1: That's wow, all right. And other entertainment news, October is
- 31:44Speaker 1: breast cancer Awareness month, and no one is more aware
- 31:46Speaker 1: that Beyonce and Solange's father, a sixty seven year old Matthew,
- 31:50Speaker 1: knows he's been diagnosed with breast cancer. Matthew revealed during
- 31:54Speaker 1: an interview with Michael Strahan on GMA Good Morning America
- 31:58Speaker 1: his personal battle with breast cancer. He also has a
- 32:01Speaker 1: history of women in his family having breast cancer and uh,
- 32:04Speaker 1: he said, more men speak out about breast cancer. Uh,
- 32:08Speaker 1: and don't feel embarrassed. You should speak out, m all.
- 32:12Speaker 1: You gotta speak on it. Yeah, you have to health
- 32:16Speaker 1: consult especially black men from the ages of I think
- 32:19Speaker 1: it's sixty to seventy years old. Really, yeah, I got
- 32:25Speaker 1: enough to Yeah. Right now we're praying for the daddy, Yeah,
- 32:33Speaker 1: for sure, for sure disease age. Yeah. Also, in related news,

- 32:46Speaker 1: breast cancer walks right, would be three yeah, yeah m hm,
- 32:52Speaker 1: So I go to be one oh three dot com
- 32:54Speaker 1: and get more information. Okay, all right, all right, Steve.
- 32:58Speaker 1: Time now for today's headline, Ladies and gentlemen, Miss Anne Tripp,
- 33:02Speaker 1: thank you very much everybody, and good morning. This is
- 33:05Speaker 1: a trip with the news. While Dallas's black community digesting
- 33:09Speaker 1: the bittersweet end of the Amber Geiger case this morning.
- 33:12Speaker 1: After deliberating for only ninety minutes on Monday, the jury
- 33:15Speaker 1: found the now fired white Dallas cop guilty of murdering
- 33:18Speaker 1: her black upstairs neighbor, murder, not the lesser charge of manslaughter,
- 33:23Speaker 1: and Attorney Benjamin Crump reminded folks, then, just who the
- 33:26Speaker 1: innocent victim? Botham Jean was the best that we had
- 33:30Speaker 1: to offer, twenty six year old college educated black man,
- 33:35Speaker 1: certified public accountant working for one of the big three
- 33:39Speaker 1: accounting firms in the world, Price Waterhouse Cooper. This verdict
- 33:45Speaker 1: is for trey Vin Martin. It's called Michael Brown, It's
- 33:49Speaker 1: for Sandra Blake. However, Judge Tammy Ken announced the jury's
- 33:52Speaker 1: decision about the sentence yesterday, and it was much lighter
- 33:56Speaker 1: than many had anticipated. The jury fined unanimously that the
- 34:00Speaker 1: defendant did not cause the death of both of them
- 34:02Speaker 1: john while under the immediate influence of sudden passion arising
- 34:07Speaker 1: from an adequate cause, and assess the defendants punishment at
- 34:11Speaker 1: ten years imprisonment in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
- 34:15Speaker 1: In addition, we assessed to find of zero dollars, and
- 34:18Speaker 1: you will receive credit for any back time that you had. Now,
- 34:21Speaker 1: so many people took to the streets last night to
- 34:23Speaker 1: protest that ten year term. The reason well because before
- 34:27Speaker 1: the jury decided on the sentence, the prosecutors showed them
- 34:30Speaker 1: some of Geiger's racist and violent posts over the defense's objection.
- 34:34Speaker 1: The jury was shown how she answered a friend's remark
- 34:37Speaker 1: about the Martin Luther King Junior parade one day and
- 34:39Speaker 1: how long it would go on. Geiger answers, well, until
- 34:42Speaker 1: MLK is dead. Oh wait, like in a joke. Then
- 34:46Speaker 1: she adds just pushed them or pepper spray them in
- 34:48Speaker 1: their direction, in other words, to disperse the black crowd.
- 34:51Speaker 1: Another tech suggests that she adopted German shepherd. Although it
- 34:54Speaker 1: may be racist. Geiger says, oh that's okay, I'm the same.
- 34:58Speaker 1: I hate everything in every but y'all. One Pinterest reads,
- 35:02Speaker 1: I wear all black to remind you not to mess
- 35:04Speaker 1: with me because I'm already dressed for your funeral. Another
- 35:07Speaker 1: one reads people are so ungrateful, no one ever thanks
- 35:10Speaker 1: me for having the patience not to kill them again.
- 35:13Speaker 1: After seeing all of that, the jury gave Geiger only
- 35:15Speaker 1: ten years. She's reportedly eligible for parole in five. By
- 35:19Speaker 1: the way, Amber Geiger is the first female member of
- 35:21Speaker 1: the Dallas PD to be found guilty of murder. The
- 35:23Speaker 1: last time a jury convicted any Dallas cop and murder
- 35:26Speaker 1: was in the seventies, but in the last three years,
- 35:29Speaker 1: four Dallas County officers have been indicted for murder, and
- 35:32Speaker 1: Geigo is Geiger rather is the third to be convicted.
- 35:36Speaker 1: Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders said to be resting comfortably
- 35:39Speaker 1: after undergo and could proceeded to address a blocked artery
- 35:42Speaker 1: yesterday today as national make that big announcement day, whatever
- 35:47Speaker 1: it is. Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 35:49Speaker 1: You're listening to show and the all new season of

- 37:26Speaker 1: from season one, and uh man, that brother had to
- 37:29Speaker 1: learn how to walk all over again. Wow. I mean, yeah,
- 37:32Speaker 1: he's on a cane now, but he's getting stronger and stronger.
- 37:34Speaker 1: But it's it's it was an uphill battle for this brother.

- 38:04Speaker 1: couples they watching too, even singles watching, but there's more
- 38:06Speaker 1: couples watching. The two people you know me and are

- 38:11Speaker 1: women doing it back to the men. So everybody get
- 38:13Speaker 1: to tune in. So so if everybody was wondering why
- 38:17Speaker 1: Tommy was, you know, dieting and losing weight and everything,
- 38:20Speaker 1: this is why ready to live look decent? Yeah, this
- 38:23Speaker 1: Saturday October fifth, he wanted me to be a fat host.
- 38:27Speaker 1: So he said, I was all right, that's what. Ain't
- 38:31Speaker 1: you ship numbers? Not now warm? Ready to roasting by
- 38:42Speaker 1: her very nephew, Jommy this Saturday October fifth, ready for love?
- 38:46Speaker 1: Ain't really ready for a meal? Coming up in thirty
- 38:51Speaker 1: four after the hour, Amber Geiger sentenced to ten years
- 38:54Speaker 1: for killing both of them John and his brother forgives her.
- 38:58Speaker 1: We'll talk about that right after this. You're listening while
- 39:04Speaker 1: a Dallas jury sentence Dallas police officer amberg Geiger to
- 39:08Speaker 1: ten years in prison for fatally shooting both of John
- 39:12Speaker 1: as he ate a bowl of ice cream in his
- 39:14Speaker 1: own apartment. The state asked the jury to sentence Amber
- 39:17Speaker 1: to twenty eight years. That was the age both of
- 39:19Speaker 1: John would have been this year. The ten years sentence
- 39:23Speaker 1: punishment was met with booze and jeers by a crowd
- 39:26Speaker 1: gathered outside the courtroom. One woman said the sentence was
- 39:29Speaker 1: a slap in the face. However, in a stunning moment,
- 39:32Speaker 1: both of John's brother, Brent. John told Amber Geiger on
- 39:35Speaker 1: the stand inside the courtroom, I forgive you and go
- 39:39Speaker 1: to God. Take a listen. Let speak for myself. I
- 39:43Speaker 1: forgive you, and I know if you go to God
- 39:48Speaker 1: and ask him, he will forgive you. And I don't
- 39:52Speaker 1: think anyone could sit again. I'm speaking for myself, not
- 39:56Speaker 1: even bad on my family. But I love you just
- 40:00Speaker 1: like anyone else. I'm not gonna say I hope you
- 40:02Speaker 1: rot and die. It's just like my brother did. But
- 40:07Speaker 1: I see I personally want the best for you, and
- 40:11Speaker 1: I wasn't gonna ever say this in front of my
- 40:15Speaker 1: family or anyone. But I don't even want you to
- 40:18Speaker 1: go to jail. I want the best for you because
- 40:23Speaker 1: I know that's what That's exactly what both of them
- 40:25Speaker 1: would want you to do, and the best would be
- 40:27Speaker 1: gave your life to Christ. I don't know if it's possible,
- 40:30Speaker 1: but can I give her a hug? Please? Wow? Wow,
- 40:35Speaker 1: what another different kind of human man. But they said
- 40:39Speaker 1: the same thing about his brother, I mean about both.
- 40:41Speaker 1: You know he was that kind of guy. It's just
- 40:43Speaker 1: such a guy. When I watched this on television yesterday,
- 40:49Speaker 1: it all right, It really choked me up man, because
- 40:54Speaker 1: I was feeling that young brother man because he he
- 40:58Speaker 1: has to he has to live with this the rest
- 41:03Speaker 1: of his life, and he chose not to make hate
- 41:09Speaker 1: a part of the rest of his life, right right.
- 41:13Speaker 1: That that's a special person to be able to fix
- 41:18Speaker 1: in your mind the correct way. Now, I don't know
- 41:23Speaker 1: that about me. I don't I don't know that about me.
- 41:28Speaker 1: I don't know, absolutely, absolutely not. I don't know that
- 41:35Speaker 1: I could have. I appreciate it. He made me pause
- 41:39Speaker 1: and think, but I do not know if I could
- 41:44Speaker 1: have done it exactly his way. I could have maybe
- 41:47Speaker 1: done a version of it. I know. I know for
- 41:54Speaker 1: a fact. We're not hugging that. I know. But you
- 41:58Speaker 1: did you did hear what he said us? No? No, no,
- 42:00Speaker 1: I understand exactly what he said, and it was most powerful.
- 42:04Speaker 1: I have a closing remark I'm gonna do about that.
- 42:07Speaker 1: I've been thinking about this, so I'm gonna save my
- 42:09Speaker 1: remarks because he said that's what his late brother would
- 42:11Speaker 1: have wanted. You know. Wow, Yeah, that was stunning a
- 42:19Speaker 1: human being. I was. I don't know if I can
- 42:21Speaker 1: reach that. So let me ask hunt. You probably noticed
- 42:24Speaker 1: when they give you ten years this is not federal.
- 42:27Speaker 1: What do you really get in all actuality? Well, he
- 42:32Speaker 1: she can be up for parole in five years. Okay, yeah, wow,
- 42:40Speaker 1: Now that this was a jury sentence though, right, the
- 42:42Speaker 1: judge didn't do this right, Yeah, it was different. I
- 42:46Speaker 1: didn't know juries could give out sentencing like that. That
- 42:49Speaker 1: was I was kind of surprised to hear the jury
- 42:51Speaker 1: did the actual sentencing. Yea. When Tommy asked that question
- 42:55Speaker 1: yesterday and we were like, judge, yeah, you said, who's
- 43:00Speaker 1: going to send her? But in this case, yeah, it
- 43:02Speaker 1: was the jury. Wow. Wow. Well, God, God bless the
- 43:07Speaker 1: John family. Yeah, just God bless them. So you can
- 43:11Speaker 1: post your comments on the both from John's story at
- 43:13Speaker 1: Steve Harvey FM, on Instagram or Facebook. Coming up next,
- 43:16Speaker 1: we'll switch gears and nephew Tommy is here with a
- 43:19Speaker 1: prank phone call for today that's coming up right after
- 43:21Speaker 1: this you're listening to. Coming up at the top of
- 43:27Speaker 1: the hour, right about four minutes after. It's my strawberry
- 43:30Speaker 1: letter for today, subject I am not the one to
- 43:33Speaker 1: play with okay right now though, yeah, you heard me,
- 43:36Speaker 1: I'm not the one now to play with right now though.
- 43:39Speaker 1: The nephew is here with today's prank phone call? What
- 43:42Speaker 1: do you have for us today? Now? Moving next? Dough?
- 43:50Speaker 1: Who moving next? Dough? Dwine? You know your neighbor? Who
- 43:53Speaker 1: moving next? Machine? Who moving? Neck though? Let's go hello,
- 44:02Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach uh mister Dolan. Dolan, Dolan, Dolan,
- 44:08Speaker 1: mister Dolan answer? How you doing? My name is uh
- 44:12Speaker 1: Clifford Cooper. Yeah. What can you do for you? Mister? Uh?
- 44:16Speaker 1: You you you live at uh? Uh? Check you out
- 44:20Speaker 1: a drawn? Why do you want to know that? Well? Actually,
- 44:23Speaker 1: I'm at sixteen twenty three. I bought I bought the uh,
- 44:27Speaker 1: I actually bought the house that was for sale next
- 44:29Speaker 1: door to you. Okay, well congratulations, But how did you
- 44:32Speaker 1: get my number? Actually the realtor told me that he
- 44:36Speaker 1: had your number because I said I wanted to reach
- 44:38Speaker 1: out to the neighbor's next door and he told me
- 44:41Speaker 1: that mister Dolan was actually the person next door and
- 44:44Speaker 1: and uh he didn't think you would mind me me
- 44:47Speaker 1: actually getting the number. Okay, well I'll talk with the
- 44:50Speaker 1: real little layer. But what can I do for you, sir? What? What?
- 44:52Speaker 1: What I what I wanted to know is do do
- 44:54Speaker 1: you have any problems like living next door to to
- 44:57Speaker 1: to black? People. I'm sorry what you just ask me?
- 45:01Speaker 1: I mean, like like I you know, like I said,
- 45:03Speaker 1: I just bought the place next though, And I want
- 45:05Speaker 1: to know, do you have any problems, you know, living
- 45:07Speaker 1: next door the black people? Uh no, sir, I have
- 45:11Speaker 1: no problem. I'm assuming you're a black man, and uh
- 45:15Speaker 1: I have no problem with that. I judge people by
- 45:18Speaker 1: their actions, not their color. Okay, now do you do
- 45:20Speaker 1: you do you have any any black people experience? Well? Yeah,
- 45:24Speaker 1: I've worked with, gone to school with, has several friends
- 45:27Speaker 1: of many different ethnicities. Uh but what what is it?
- 45:31Speaker 1: What's this? How is this relative? Well, you know, like
- 45:34Speaker 1: I said, I'm gonna be I'm gonna be living next
- 45:36Speaker 1: to you, and I'm just making sure that you know,
- 45:38Speaker 1: you and I can coincide, coexist, but rather on the
- 45:42Speaker 1: same block and not really have a problem with one another.
- 45:45Speaker 1: Base Because what I'm trying to say, well, do you
- 45:47Speaker 1: have a problem with white people? Uh? No, No, No,
- 45:49Speaker 1: I don't have a problem white people. Uh. I'm cool.
- 45:52Speaker 1: I'm just I'm just trying to make sure you know, Uh,
- 45:55Speaker 1: I mean, because me and you already have a bit
- 45:57Speaker 1: of a problem already, you know we do. Yeah, yeah,
- 46:01Speaker 1: we have a problem. I mean, I'm bound bothering me
- 46:04Speaker 1: while on that work. What's your problem? Okay? Well my
- 46:07Speaker 1: problem is this is that, you know, after purchasing the property,
- 46:10Speaker 1: I went downtown to the city and actually looked at,
- 46:14Speaker 1: you know, the layout of this entire property. And when
- 46:17Speaker 1: I look at it, you actually twenty five close to
- 46:21Speaker 1: thirty feet over the property line. Well, now you look
- 46:24Speaker 1: at the wrong map. No, No, the fifth that separates
- 46:27Speaker 1: my backyard from your backyard. You have thirty feet over that.
- 46:31Speaker 1: That's impossible, you know, listen, and I know it is.
- 46:34Speaker 1: Let me let me know. I'm gonna tell you, uh,
- 46:36Speaker 1: look at you got a jacouzi in your backyard right,
- 46:39Speaker 1: So you don't given spine on me. No, I haven't
- 46:42Speaker 1: inspired on you, sir. I'm just telling you close to that,
- 46:46Speaker 1: not far from that fish line, don't. Don't you have
- 46:48Speaker 1: a jakouzi there? Well, as a matter of fact, I do. Yes. Okay,
- 46:51Speaker 1: Now the pools, the pool is okay. But but if
- 46:55Speaker 1: I if I pushed that fish line back thirty and
- 46:57Speaker 1: actually get the property that I'm supposed to have, well
- 47:00Speaker 1: I'm pretty much oh yo yo youo jacuz you'll ha
- 47:03Speaker 1: to Nancy. Okay, let me tell you something. I've been
- 47:07Speaker 1: in that house for ten years. We put that sense
- 47:09Speaker 1: up when we moved in, and it was based on
- 47:12Speaker 1: the property line. That was that was the set when
- 47:15Speaker 1: ten years ago. I don't know what you're looking at,
- 47:19Speaker 1: but my sense is not moving. My Jacuzi is not moving,
- 47:22Speaker 1: and there's there's no changing that. Okay, Well, let me,
- 47:26Speaker 1: let me let me. I'm glad you hear your voice
- 47:28Speaker 1: what you wanted the voice. No, no, no, no, no,
- 47:31Speaker 1: you hear you hear Old cluff at Let me tell
- 47:33Speaker 1: you so. Uh, Either we're gonna take the fifth line
- 47:36Speaker 1: and moving where supposed to be. Oh, We're gonna put
- 47:39Speaker 1: a gate between uh two yards, and I'm gonna be
- 47:43Speaker 1: able to come and get in this jacozy and pool
- 47:45Speaker 1: whenever I want to. All right, let's let's let's let's
- 47:48Speaker 1: talk about this. First of all, there's gonna not gonna
- 47:50Speaker 1: be a gate, okay. And as far as you just
- 47:53Speaker 1: coming over and getting into Jacuzi at will, I got
- 47:57Speaker 1: a real problem with that. Uh you've called me at work.
- 48:00Speaker 1: I'm on the job and I'm having to listen to
- 48:02Speaker 1: this on a future neighbor who's making weird claims about
- 48:08Speaker 1: how he owns part of my lamp. Got back, I
- 48:12Speaker 1: hold to jakouzi. S no, no, you did not pay
- 48:15Speaker 1: for that JACUZI. You did not pay for that tense.
- 48:18Speaker 1: You just showed up making a He called me at work,
- 48:21Speaker 1: and and and and then you hand me some story
- 48:25Speaker 1: with no evidence. I'll go down to the city hall
- 48:28Speaker 1: and look at those papers myself, because I don't trust
- 48:32Speaker 1: word you're saying. I've been there for ten years. I've
- 48:35Speaker 1: had ten other neighbors in that backyard. Y'all cycle through
- 48:39Speaker 1: once a year, I swear, and I've never had any
- 48:42Speaker 1: problems with him until you come along. This is some okay. Well,
- 48:46Speaker 1: I'll tell you what. There's something you need to understand.
- 48:49Speaker 1: You got a new black neighbor, and you got a
- 48:51Speaker 1: new black neighbor that owns part owns your jakouzi, because
- 48:54Speaker 1: you're over the fifth line, all right. And as soon
- 48:57Speaker 1: as I move in, I'm coming and I'm getting in
- 48:59Speaker 1: my jakouz. See you, wo man, you know what I mean.
- 49:03Speaker 1: Don't move into that. I'm gonna use the jacouzi on Monday,
- 49:07Speaker 1: Wednesday and Friday. You get it on Tuesday, Thursday and
- 49:11Speaker 1: the weekend. That's it, because blade is damn jacouzi belongs
- 49:14Speaker 1: to me, the jacouzie of the home, my black man
- 49:17Speaker 1: and a white man, and we're gonna get along. Bladam line.
- 49:20Speaker 1: Look here, let listen here, you who are you to
- 49:23Speaker 1: dictate what days I get to use my jacuzi because
- 49:27Speaker 1: it's not coming over to mind, not just you ain't
- 49:29Speaker 1: were crying. It's our jakouzi because you you built it.
- 49:33Speaker 1: That's the only thing that makes it yours. It being
- 49:36Speaker 1: on my part of the property I was making mind.
- 49:39Speaker 1: So therefore we're gonna share his damn jakouzi, and we're
- 49:42Speaker 1: gonna try to get you jacouzie. I'm passing your across
- 49:46Speaker 1: the fence. I will be there on Monday's Wednesdays, and
- 49:49Speaker 1: you ain't gonna be I'll be standing out my jacouzi
- 49:52Speaker 1: with a shotgun. You take one step over to my property,
- 49:55Speaker 1: my property line. I swear if I can jump through
- 49:59Speaker 1: this phone, i'd ring your neck. You know who's gonna
- 50:01Speaker 1: be in there with me? Who the gonna be in there?
- 50:03Speaker 1: I'm gonna have cutting hell in the damn jacouse. Who
- 50:07Speaker 1: cutting hell? My co worker? Man, this is nephew. Tell

- 52:49Speaker 1: I am not the one to play with, Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 52:54Speaker 1: I am a fifty four year old black professional man
- 52:58Speaker 1: who has been married for twenty five years. I am
- 53:02Speaker 1: six six and two hundred and seventy pounds, and I
- 53:06Speaker 1: am not to be played with. But my wife seems
- 53:09Speaker 1: to think she could play me and get away with it.
- 53:13Speaker 1: We're in the middle of a divorce now because I
- 53:15Speaker 1: found out that she was taking and sending nude pictures
- 53:19Speaker 1: to an ex boyfriend. I also found out that she'd
- 53:22Speaker 1: been having an affair with the guy for almost a year.
- 53:26Speaker 1: When I confronted her, she told me that she's been
- 53:29Speaker 1: unhappy for a long time and she needs more. I
- 53:32Speaker 1: filed for divorce immediately, But as I mentioned, I am
- 53:38Speaker 1: not the one to be played with, So I went
- 53:40Speaker 1: to visit the guy she was sleeping with. You. When
- 53:44Speaker 1: we read that line again, seventy went to visit me.
- 53:48Speaker 1: He went to visit the guy. He went to visit
- 53:51Speaker 1: the guy that she was sleeping with. I told him
- 53:54Speaker 1: that I knew everything and that he could have my wife.
- 53:58Speaker 1: This guy said that he's married and what he my
- 54:00Speaker 1: wife had was just a fling. He said he'd never
- 54:03Speaker 1: leave his wife for her or anyone else. So I
- 54:06Speaker 1: found his wife and I went to see her too.
- 54:09Speaker 1: It was all in my plan to get revenge, but
- 54:12Speaker 1: I didn't expect for his wife to be as fine
- 54:15Speaker 1: and pretty as she is. I told her about my
- 54:19Speaker 1: wife and her husband's affair, and she was not shocked
- 54:22Speaker 1: or upset. She said she knows her husband as a cheater.
- 54:26Speaker 1: She started flirting with me and eventually told me that
- 54:30Speaker 1: she has needs of her own that are not being
- 54:32Speaker 1: taken care of. Well, well, you know, I offered to
- 54:38Speaker 1: help her with her needs and she couldn't resist. So
- 54:42Speaker 1: here we are months later, and we both have admitted
- 54:46Speaker 1: that we're falling for each other. There is nothing better
- 54:49Speaker 1: than revenge. But but I don't want my new woman
- 54:53Speaker 1: to find out it was all a gain in the beginning.
- 54:56Speaker 1: Should I keep our affair a secret a little longer
- 54:59Speaker 1: or should I show my wife that two can play
- 55:01Speaker 1: that game? Please advise, Steve Nah, Please advise Steve, you
- 55:12Speaker 1: ain't that's right. Well, I mean, you know, this is
- 55:17Speaker 1: just a big old nasty mess here. Um, I didn't
- 55:20Speaker 1: think just like apparently, I don't see. Not to interrupt you,
- 55:24Speaker 1: but mine is not gonna start off with this a
- 55:27Speaker 1: big old nasty man. Okay, well it is all right,
- 55:32Speaker 1: thank you, sir. I just didn't think like everyone else
- 55:35Speaker 1: that this letter was gonna end up like this. I
- 55:37Speaker 1: thought it was gonna be some fighting. You know, maybe
- 55:40Speaker 1: I don't know something a little more serious than how
- 55:44Speaker 1: this ended up. Now it seems like everyone is just
- 55:47Speaker 1: one big happy family. You're with his wife. Uh, he's
- 55:51Speaker 1: with your wife. Except for your wife. When she finds out, um,
- 55:56Speaker 1: you know how her side piece, you're your girls. H
- 56:00Speaker 1: new girl's husband feels about her, She's not gonna be
- 56:03Speaker 1: too happy. It's gonna be quite a blow to her
- 56:05Speaker 1: ego and her self esteem. Uh you were pretty easy, huh.
- 56:09Speaker 1: She was that fun and that pretty huh. And it
- 56:15Speaker 1: was an opportunity. So now you guys are are are
- 56:18Speaker 1: involved in a relationship. So it looks like, uh, what
- 56:22Speaker 1: you guys are gonna just do a trade off thing.
- 56:24Speaker 1: You know, her husband is gonna have something to say
- 56:28Speaker 1: about this because he's not interested in leaving his wife.
- 56:31Speaker 1: He's just not what is wrong to get to the
- 56:36Speaker 1: bottom of girl. You know, I just this this. You
- 56:47Speaker 1: know you you guys do what you do. I mean,
- 56:49Speaker 1: if that's what you think. Revenge, This is all about
- 56:52Speaker 1: revenge and everything. I mean. The thing for you to do,
- 56:56Speaker 1: if you really want to be with her, of course,
- 56:58Speaker 1: is to go ahead with a divorce proceedetings with your
- 57:00Speaker 1: wife and to marry this woman if she divorces her husband.
- 57:03Speaker 1: Other than that, you guys are all having an all
- 57:06Speaker 1: having an affairs. Jesus. All right, Steve cool? Thanks Sherley, Shelly, listen,
- 57:12Speaker 1: I want to compliment. You pay your compliment. You did
- 57:14Speaker 1: a wonderful job. You did as best she could. That problem, well, Shirley,
- 57:21Speaker 1: you know the problem you have with this letter is
- 57:24Speaker 1: he said, Steve, please advise Steve. He knew, Shelly, he knew.
- 57:30Speaker 1: You can't. You can't help him because you're not gonna
- 57:34Speaker 1: feel what he feels. And it's understandable. It's some letter, Shirley,
- 57:39Speaker 1: where you take a woman's perspective and you touch on
- 57:41Speaker 1: a lot of stuff I don't think of because you
- 57:44Speaker 1: have an angle I don't have, so I respect that
- 57:47Speaker 1: this fitting for your man. I'm not the one to
- 57:50Speaker 1: get played with. Did the older damn letter? With? What
- 57:52Speaker 1: this letter about? Been married twenty five years? And here
- 57:56Speaker 1: the facts before we get any other fact. I'm fifty four,
- 58:01Speaker 1: been married twenty five years. I damn to half my life.
- 58:05Speaker 1: But now hear what you need to know. I'm six
- 58:08Speaker 1: six and two seventy and I am not to be
- 58:12Speaker 1: played with, clearly, But his wife seemed to think that,
- 58:18Speaker 1: you know, she could play with him, get away with him.
- 58:21Speaker 1: We're in the middle of a divorce now because I
- 58:23Speaker 1: found out that she was taking and send the new
- 58:25Speaker 1: pictures to an ex boyfriend. Also find out that she'd
- 58:29Speaker 1: been having a fair with the guy for almost a year.
- 58:32Speaker 1: When I confronted her, she told me she had been
- 58:34Speaker 1: unhappy for a long ass time and she needs more.
- 58:38Speaker 1: I don't know how much more you need than sixty
- 58:40Speaker 1: six two seven. What are you looking for? How much
- 58:45Speaker 1: more is it? I certainly don't have more at six
- 58:50Speaker 1: two two thirty five. I don't have more. I probabise
- 58:54Speaker 1: your kid ain't got more shoulder last time, ain't got
- 58:59Speaker 1: I don't know what mode you comboxive. He's six six two.
- 59:04Speaker 1: Hang on, we'll have part two of your coming up
- 59:10Speaker 1: at twenty three after the hour. Subject up today's letter.
- 59:13Speaker 1: I am not the one to play with. We'll be
- 59:15Speaker 1: back right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve, Come on,
- 59:21Speaker 1: let's recap today's strawberry letters. So don't recall I am
- 59:24Speaker 1: not the one to play with. He to be played with?
- 59:28Speaker 1: Fifty four, married twenty five years. He's six six two seventy.
- 59:32Speaker 1: He ain't to be played with, but the damn wife
- 59:34Speaker 1: thinks she can play. So he found out she's been
- 59:37Speaker 1: taking pictures sending into the dude. Then find out touch
- 59:40Speaker 1: shee been having an extra Metal of faun, she says,
- 59:44Speaker 1: and when he confronted her about it, she says she
- 59:47Speaker 1: needs more. We left trying to figure out what more
- 59:50Speaker 1: do you want? He's six six two seventy y what mold? Okay?
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: But obviously you won't more so then, but as I mentioned,
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: I'm not to be played with. So I went to
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: visit the guy that she was sleeping with. That right here,
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: it's where this letter starts to take a turn, where
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: every man here and this going this as yeah, she said,
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: you don't play with me. I want to pay him
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: a visit to the guy she was sleeping with, told
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: him I knew everything and that he could have him.
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: See here, want her no more? He threw with him,
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: you know this ain't no left. You can have them.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: You know, I'm just letting you know this right here now.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: But now let me show you what happened. Though. He
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: scared his punk ass so bad when he said you
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: can have her. First thing, he said, I'm married and
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: just jack, I wouldn't leave my wife for her or anybody.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: I don't want her. See because if he said because
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: if he just said you can have it, he said, thanks,
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: he'd ha knocked his ass into the midute. Next week,
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: he'd woke up in a coma Sherley. If he'd answered
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: that question wrong and you could have her, thanks man, fuck,
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: I love your wife, that would have been it. This
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: guy said he's married, that he and my wife was
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: just a fleeing. He said he never leave his wife
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: for her or anyone. So six six found his wife
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: and went to see her too. It was all in
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: my plan to get revenge. I would he was just
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: gonna tell it, But he didn't expected his wife to
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: be as fine and as pretty as she is. I
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: told her about my wife and her husband as a fan.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: She wasn't shocked up and said she said, you know
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: her husband cheating. She started flirting with me and eventually
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: told me that she got needs or her own that's
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: not being taken. Now. I know she got needs because
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: her man ain't six six two seven. You're looking at
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: all it beefcake in front of you. You start thinking loud,
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: what is all this hill by Christmas? To me? I
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: got knees and can't get mad. But I bet she
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: can do something. Well, you know, I offered to help
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: her with her needs and she couldn't resist. Boy, I
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: know that right. So here we are months later and
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: we both have to admit, admit it that we are
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: falling for each other. Oh this it got good. Now.
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: There's nothing better than revenge. But I don't want my
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: new woman to find out it was all a game
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: in the beginning. Should I keep our fans secret a
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: little longer? Or should I show my wife and that
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: two can play this game? Please advise Steve or you
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: came to the right player player boiling the hill. First
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: of all, you do not tell her that it was
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: all a game to begin it. But what you do
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: say is when I came over, there was about revenge
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: for me. I just wanted him to feel hurt and
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: wanted his marriage to be in pain the way mine
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: had to go through it. But when I saw you,
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: I said, Wow, how could he do this to some
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: woman like this? And then I found out you knew
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: he was cheating on you like all women do. And
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: then you just said that you have needs and I
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: got needs, and we began to share with one another.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: And so now here we are and we have this moment.
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: So tell her that you came for revenge, but after
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: you saw her, you could not imagine how he could
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: do this to a woman like you. And so we
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: started seeing each other, and what I found it you
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: was everything I wanted, because that's why y'all falling for
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: each other. In the words of an old friend of mine,
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: fair exchange ain't no robber. If you got my wife
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: and I got chow wife, and both our wives is
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: cool with being got bam got you change. So now
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: here's what you do. Don't tell your wife nothing, why
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: you can't why you can't wait to rub this in
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: her face. Let her get the divorce, let her discover
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: that the dude don't want her. Yeah, but then let
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: me explain something to you. What you're worried about what
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: he gonna do if you take his wife? What even
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: to do? You ain't to be played with your six
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: six two seven? What a podcasts gonna do when he
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: finds out you got his wife? And if you worry
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: about what your wife gonna do when you tell her
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: you're sleeping with his wife, what he gonna do? Not
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: a day damn thing. Y'all gonna live happily. Laughter, and
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: let church say, hey man, happily. Ever after that was
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: only to appreciate the sat All right listening post your

- 1:08:56Speaker 1: that time, getting ready, getting ready to get ready. She
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: is here, call a friend with what reality update? All right,
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: thank you, nephew. Here we go. Let's talk about Basketball Wives.
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: We switch it up a little bit. Yeah. So on
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: Basketball Wives, Shanny invited the girls on a trip. Here
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: we go, Steve to Costa Rica because she needed to
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: do a site check on a real estate opportunity and
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: it's you know, she might have a possibility of owning
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: a resort. So she invited the girls to come on
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: down anyway. You know how we do it, girls trip drama.
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: So first, some of the women in Byron Scott's family
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: are having issues. Byron Scott's daughter in law, Kristen, and
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: his fiance are beefing, and you know, Kristen, she kind
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: of started a lot of the drama last season. And
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: then you know, she said the Byron Scott, you know,
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: it's not being a good grandfather. So you know that
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: was a lot of drama between Byron and good grandfather
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: A yeah, round right grandfather dad a head, Yeah, yeah,
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: that's her husband. Yeah. So it was so it was
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: just a lot of drama there, Steve, so Cecie, who
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: is uh Byron's fiance, she just got sick of the
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: drama and so my girl, she is kind of she
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: was like a doormat during the season. She just let
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: people say whatever, Well honey, she got fed up in
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: Costa Rica and she started checking them all. So it
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: was team cec your girl, O g Jackie Christie. You
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: know she's on another side of Yeah, I love Jackie's
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: my favorite. I wouldn't watch a real you don't need
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: to security. Yeah, all right, So anyway, Shawny, Evelyn, Kristen, Malaysia, Phoebe.
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: It was just all of this arguing back and forth.
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: So that and Shanny decides to throw this pool party,
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: and then Cec she got sick of arguing with her
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: future daughter in law, so she tried to leave the
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: pool party. Guess who took off running from behind to
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: get after CC down the ramp at the resort. Yes, yeah, yes,
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: I was so mad at her. She took off running
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: with like a bamboo or some kind of plant leaf
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: in her hand, but she was trying to I don't
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: know what she was trying to do, but she kind
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: of ran up on CEC from behind him, you know OG,
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: you know O G don't play So her and CC, Yeah,
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: and she fell. Evelyn bust behind, Yes, she fell trying
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: to get after this girl. It was just really really ugly.
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: You want to think that this behavior it was in
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: the past and just stop all this fighting and arguing.
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: It was It's just really really messy. So Worre has
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: it too on social media. Steve that Byron Scott is
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: not happy with Shawnee and that he's been watching the
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: show and he's on the show quite often, but he's
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: been watching the show and he does not like the
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: way Shannie is treating his fiance cc cc so um,
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: there's some on the show, yes, CEC that's the one
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: who Evelyn ran up on. Yeah, well you just say,
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: you know, dog, if you're gonna take the check, you
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: gotta take the mess. Yeah. And that's reality to you
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: mess with the check because of the mess. Yeah. Right,
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: And Seanny ain't who you want in this case, right,
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: Hill partner, no check, they're not ready to know. Yeah,
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: And then you need to bring all of your show
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: so they can be ready to love and stop all
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: u arguing and hating. That's right, Steve. And and then
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: there's some mess last night on the show with og
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: I don't know, she's kind of like flirting with Evelyn's
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: ex husband, Chad Ocho Cinko, and it's just it's not
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: a show. Yeah, but she kind of DMed him on
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: social media and she brought all that mess back up
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: and Evelyn, it's just too much basketball wife. So we'll
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: continue this conversation you can hit me up at lip
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: Spark Carla on social media and we'll talk about love
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: and hip hop, Hollywood too to be two K drama
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: with Little Fizz and April and omrah good it just
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: never you're listening to. Okay, So, Steve, this woman who
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: walked and walked straight into the lions den at the
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: Bronx Zoo over the weekend and survived, I might add,
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: was high. She was high when? Yeah, go ahead? This
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: according to the cops. They say they found video of
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: her smoking right before the stunt. They've identified the woman
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: she jumped to fence entered the Lion's enclosure over the weekend.
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: They say her social media shows her smoking something that
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: looks like a weed right before walking. She just realized
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: in New York. Didn't they need to reverse it? Okay,
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: two questions. Yes, was she white? No, Steve, she was
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: she was black. Yeah, this was a weed. No, No,
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: this wasn't weak. It's dipped in something. It was. That
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: isn't what we do. A lot of people smoke weed.
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: Ain't that weed is not fish climbing weed is man.
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: Damn that fills high. That's weak. So she stared down
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: the lion and in his enclosure. Then she did a
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: few dance moves and she was just a few feet
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: away from the lion. Steve, you know, she was taunting him.
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: But the lion thank god I didn't Yeah, he didn't
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: go yeah quick, God God just took care of her. Yeah,
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: because he could have mauled the mess out of her.
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: But when she seed his video too, when she sobers up. Yeah,
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: all right, Mark marks the Steve Harvey Morning Show and
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: some trending news coming up at thirty three after the hour,
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: right after this, you're listening mon show. While a Dallas
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: jury sentence Dallas police officer Amber Geiger to ten years
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: in prison for fatally shooting both of John as he
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: ate a bowl of ice cream in his own apartment,
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: the state asked the jury to sentence Amber to twenty
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: eight years. That was the age both of John would
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: have been this year. The ten years sentence punishment was
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: met with booze and jeers by a crowd gathered outside
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: the courtroom. One woman said the sentence was a slap
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: in the face. However, in a stunning moment, both of
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: John's brother Brent, John told Amber Geiger on this stand
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: inside the courtroom, I forgive you and go to God.
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: Take a listen, speak for myself. I forgive you, and
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: I know if you go to God and ask him,
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: he will forgive you. And I don't think anyone could
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: say it again. I'm speaking for myself, not even bad
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: for my family. But I love you just like anyone else.
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: I'm not gonna say I hope you rot and die.
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: It's just like my brother did. But I see I
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: personally want the best for you. And I wasn't gonna
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: ever say this in front of my family or anyone.
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: But I don't even want you to go to jail.
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: I want the best for you because I know that's
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: what That's exactly what both them would want you to do.
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: And the best would be gave your life to Christ.
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: I don't know if it's possible, but can I give
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: her a hug? Please? Wow? Wow? Different kind of human man,
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: But they said the same thing about his brother, I
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: mean about both such a great guy. When I watched
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: this on television yesterday, it really choked me up, man,
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: because I was feeling that young brother man because he
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: he has to he has to live with this the
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: rest of his life, and he chose not to make
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: hate a part of the rest of his life, right right.
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: That that's a special person to be able to fix
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: in your mind the correct way. Now, I don't know
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: that about me. I don't I don't know that about me.
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: I don't know, absolutely, absolutely not. I don't know that
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: I could have. I appreciate it. He made me pause
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: and think. But I do not know if I could
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: have done it exactly his way. I could have maybe
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: done a version of it. I know. I know for
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: a fact were not hugged that I know. But you did?
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: You did hear what he said? Those Steves? No, no, no,
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: I understand exactly what he said, and it was most powerful.
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: I have a closing remark I'm gonna do about that.
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: I've been thinking about this, so I'm gonna save my
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: remarks because he said that's what his late brother would
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: have wanted. You know, Wow, Jess. Coming up next, we'll
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: do our last break of the day, and then, of
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: course we will have some closing remarks from the one
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: and only Steve Harvey right after this at forty nine
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: minutes after you're listening all right here we are Steve,
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: our last break of the day on this Thursday. It's
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: been a good Thursday. A lot of things going on
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: in the news, A lot of things busy, busy with
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: people playing with lions. Yeah, that was crazy, crazy. Calm
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: us all down, put everything all into perspective and give
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: us something to hope and dream for it time. I don't.
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: I don't. I don't know if that's what this is
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: gonna be today. I really don't, because I want in
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: another direction. Well my clothes remarks. Today is going to
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: be a commentary. Okay, I don't do commentary often, um,
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: but today I wanted to talk about this brother by
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: the name of both of them, John who was murdered
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: by this police officer, Amber Geiger, and the reaction to
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: both of John's eighteen year old brother. I watched it,
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: young man at eighteen years old talk about forgiveness and
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: then he begged this woman to hug him and asked
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: the court can I please hug her? Now? Let me
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: tell you something. I was choked up when I watched this.
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: I watched it yesterday on the news because as he
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: was hugging her and asking the court to please allow
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: him to hug her and saying that he didn't want
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: her to even go to jail, and he was debating
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: on whether he was gonna say this in front of
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: his family. I was imagining what this eighteen year old
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: young man could have possibly been thinking. Now I don't
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: know exactly what he was thinking, but maybe he didn't
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: want his big brother's memory to be that of hate.
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: Maybe he didn't want that hate to be his own
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: form of cancer. Maybe he knew that his brother has
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: never hated anybody in his life, and he wasn't gonna
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: tie his memory by hating someone on his behalf. So
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: this eighteen year old young man chose to forgive because
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: Hayden don't get his brother back. Hate, don't honor or
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: tell the story of who his brother was. And he
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: said so in his commentary to the fact that this
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: is not what his brother would have wanted, because he
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: knew his brother intimately. It was his big brother, So
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: he chose to forgive. I was amazed at this young
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: man's strength and and and and because he even pleaded
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: with the court to allow him to hug her. And
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: as he hugged her to Bailiff went up on that
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: just looking at him. But you could look into Bailif's
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: face like, Wow, he couldn't believe it. I don't know
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: if people really understand what all and how many times
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: people in this world have to forgive. Most people have
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: had to forgive many times. Well, since this is a
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: race issue, and for those of you who don't think
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: that this is a race issue, it's why we can't
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: solve racism, because there are those who won't even acknowledge
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: racism even when it's blatant. So how do we solve
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: something when people keep denying that it exists. This case
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: was another case about racism, And since this is about race,
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: let me say this first. I know for fact that
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: there are whites who have had to forgive some black
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: person or some person of color. Of that, I am
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: sure that's got to be a fact, But where as
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: black people have had to forgive at a disproportionate rate.
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: That young man's mother said that she was grateful for
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: the verdict, but the tactics used to try to clear
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: this officer, these blatant race tactics had to stop. She
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: was talking about in Dallas. But it ain't just Dallas,
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: it's nationwide. It just case was just held in Dallas.
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: So let's be real. Were as black people we have
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: had to forgive so many times. For so many years,
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: we've had to forgive. We've had to get over it.
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: We've had to understand, we didn't had to just go
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: d or with it. We've had to just let it go.
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: We've had to just wait on it, wait and see.
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: We've had to wait while everybody processes it. And here's
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: my favorite one of all, we've had to be patient. Well,
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: we're tired. We've been tired. As a matter of fact,
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: we're sick and tired of being sick and time if
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: you want to know the truth about it now, Look,
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: I'm not going to do a list of injustices that's happened,
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: but my closing remarks, we just don't have the much time.
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: But just let me just say a couple of things.
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: Didn't a black woman get five years for registering her
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: child at her daddy's address so the child could go
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: to a better school. Didn't she get five years? Didn't
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: a black woman get twenty years for killing her husband
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: who beat her, Yes, sir, but didn't Felicity Huffman in
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: the big college cheating scam of the year, she got
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: four teen days, just two weeks. A woman just wanted
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: her child to get a batter School. She got five years.
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: It's three thousand people in prison who got life with
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: no parole for non violent crimes. Ninety one percent of
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: the people is black. Here's a fact. If this young
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: man who died was the police officer in this case,
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: and the officer who was at home meeting ice cream
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: was a victim in her apartment ten years oh, you'd
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: have had another zero on it and a very strong
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: chance that he would die in prison. Those are my
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: closing remarks. Y'all, have a great weekend for all. Steve
