- 1:55Speaker 1: come come on your thing that it? Uh huh, I
- 2:02Speaker 1: shall will Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice,
- 2:06Speaker 1: Come on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey
- 2:09Speaker 1: got a radio show man, Yeah I do. Man, what
- 2:15Speaker 1: an amazing blessing. God has given me my health, my strength,
- 2:22Speaker 1: my will power, my dreams, all of it. God gave
- 2:27Speaker 1: it to me. I accept it. I work hard, but
- 2:33Speaker 1: man on, man on, man, I work hard is something
- 2:36Speaker 1: that He gave me a gift. And that's what I
- 2:39Speaker 1: want to talk to you about today, because God has
- 2:42Speaker 1: gifted everyone, so I can't help but believe it. You
- 2:47Speaker 1: are gifted in some way something about you. It's special
- 2:52Speaker 1: and unique. Now that means that doesn't mean You're the
- 2:55Speaker 1: only one that can see. Are you the only one
- 2:58Speaker 1: that can write? Are you the only one that can draw,
- 3:01Speaker 1: You're the only one that can decorate. Or you're the
- 3:03Speaker 1: only one that can network, or you're the only one
- 3:06Speaker 1: that that's not what it means. Or you have a
- 3:08Speaker 1: great scientific mind, or you can figure things out, or
- 3:11Speaker 1: you're good at problem solving. You're not the only one,
- 3:13Speaker 1: but but you, But you are a unique individual. Nobody
- 3:16Speaker 1: will travel the exact path that you're on. Nobody will
- 3:19Speaker 1: have everything happened in a series of circumstances, in in
- 3:24Speaker 1: in the order that you're gonna have it happened to you.
- 3:27Speaker 1: That's what I mean when I say that you are unique.
- 3:30Speaker 1: But now because you are gifted, you know you have
- 3:34Speaker 1: something you have to do. You know, Uh, there's a scripture.
- 3:39Speaker 1: It's in Proverbs, Proverbs eighteen and sixteen. I've been trying
- 3:43Speaker 1: to be a little bit better at that for you, you
- 3:45Speaker 1: you know. Uh. So when I have an idea and
- 3:48Speaker 1: I know where it is, I have somebody looked the
- 3:50Speaker 1: scripture up from and handed to me. So it's in
- 3:53Speaker 1: Proverbs eighteen sixteen. And this is the layman's term of it.
- 3:58Speaker 1: It says a man's gift make room for him and
- 4:01Speaker 1: brings him before great men. It is your gift that
- 4:06Speaker 1: will make room for you. Now my interpretation of this
- 4:10Speaker 1: is this. Now I could be wrong. Please go to
- 4:12Speaker 1: your local church, Syner God, Temple, Mass, whatever you do
- 4:16Speaker 1: and go get clarification. But what my gift has done
- 4:20Speaker 1: in making room for me is I've taken it almost
- 4:24Speaker 1: in the literal sys my gift has actually made room
- 4:27Speaker 1: for me. It has made it has cleared paths for me.
- 4:32Speaker 1: My gift has opened up doors for me. That's what
- 4:35Speaker 1: I take it as. It will make room for you.
- 4:38Speaker 1: My gift has is broadened my ability to travel. My
- 4:42Speaker 1: gift has opened my eyes to fashion. My gift has
- 4:48Speaker 1: caused me to be able to uh provide for my family.
- 4:52Speaker 1: My gift has caused me to be able to to
- 4:56Speaker 1: reach more people. That's what I'm saying in terms of
- 5:00Speaker 1: it will make room for you. That it may be
- 5:02Speaker 1: another interpretation. I'm just telling you how I took it
- 5:05Speaker 1: that It's worked out pretty good for me to that understanding.
- 5:08Speaker 1: But I'm pretty sure Bishop Jake's Joel olds Thing Kenney
- 5:11Speaker 1: for alma Um, you know God. Glenn Staples, Bishop Glenn staples.
- 5:16Speaker 1: These guys give you much better understanding of it. I'm
- 5:19Speaker 1: just giving it to you, you know way, I know
- 5:21Speaker 1: how so you know it. It's kind of yeah, I
- 5:25Speaker 1: don't know. I just like to keep it right there.
- 5:27Speaker 1: But and then it says that it brings you before
- 5:31Speaker 1: great men. I mean, you know, it's gonna take your places.
- 5:35Speaker 1: It's gonna take your places you never thought of going.
- 5:38Speaker 1: You're gonna meet people because of your gift. I told
- 5:41Speaker 1: my son, who who two of them are good photographers.
- 5:44Speaker 1: You'll be taking pictures of great men. And then I
- 5:47Speaker 1: messed with him. You already taking pictures, Say your daddy,
- 5:49Speaker 1: you know I'm messing with him like that. But that's
- 5:50Speaker 1: just me and I'm just kicking it. But you know,
- 5:53Speaker 1: but one day, who knows, you could be shooting the president.
- 5:56Speaker 1: You know, you could be shooting some foreign dignitaries. You know,
- 5:59Speaker 1: you could he's shooting great sport events. You know, you
- 6:01Speaker 1: never know where it could take you. But that's your gift.
- 6:05Speaker 1: But what what you gotta do is you gotta get
- 6:07Speaker 1: to moving though. See, you can't have your gift and
- 6:10Speaker 1: not do nothing with it. See, you know what that
- 6:12Speaker 1: reminds me of. It's something that that My father used
- 6:17Speaker 1: to say, get up off your butt because you're sitting
- 6:20Speaker 1: on a gold mine. He say that all the time. Boy,
- 6:24Speaker 1: get up off your butt and move it, because you're
- 6:27Speaker 1: sitting on a gold mine. I never really quite got
- 6:29Speaker 1: that when I was little, but now that I'm an adult,
- 6:31Speaker 1: I got it full well. See, a lot of you
- 6:34Speaker 1: are sitting on a gold mine. You're sitting on a
- 6:37Speaker 1: talent or a gift that you have. You're sitting on
- 6:41Speaker 1: an ability. I don't care if it's making cakes or pies,
- 6:44Speaker 1: you know, I don't. I don't care. That's a gift, man.
- 6:48Speaker 1: That's a talent. I don't care. If it's the ability
- 6:50Speaker 1: to do hell on your kitchen, on your back porch,
- 6:54Speaker 1: that's a gift. Man. Half of you are gifted. A
- 6:57Speaker 1: lot of us are gifted, and we're sitting on it,
- 7:01Speaker 1: looking at other people, wondering what can I do to
- 7:03Speaker 1: make it? You already got something to make it with
- 7:06Speaker 1: if you would just get up off your behind, man,
- 7:09Speaker 1: quit sitting on that gold mine. Some of you are
- 7:12Speaker 1: tech savvy, just a whiz is when it comes to
- 7:16Speaker 1: engineering and putting stuff together and cables and wires and
- 7:20Speaker 1: and computers and stuff. And now you steady looking around
- 7:23Speaker 1: trying to figure out, Man, wonder what I can go do?
- 7:25Speaker 1: Go do that? How about you go do that? You
- 7:30Speaker 1: know this, it ain't that hard, man, if you would
- 7:33Speaker 1: just take note of what God has given you already.
- 7:37Speaker 1: He has given you a gift already. He has already
- 7:40Speaker 1: given you a talent. Now the fact that you ain't
- 7:43Speaker 1: using it and you're sitting on your tail somewhere what not? Now?
- 7:47Speaker 1: Who fathers? What we're talking about? Well? What what you
- 7:52Speaker 1: you blaming God for that? I'm man. I tell you what.
- 7:55Speaker 1: I sit around people all the time who are gifted,
- 8:00Speaker 1: and I'm looking at their gilts, and they steady complaining
- 8:03Speaker 1: about what they don't have, but will not get up
- 8:07Speaker 1: off there behind and use the gifts that God gave them.
- 8:11Speaker 1: And it's frustrating. It's frustrating. It's gotta be frustrating for
- 8:15Speaker 1: you if you're doing it, because it's frustrating for me
- 8:18Speaker 1: when I see it. So when these people come to
- 8:21Speaker 1: me and ask me for help, I just keep going
- 8:22Speaker 1: the same thing over and over. Help yourself, man, do
- 8:26Speaker 1: for you use your gift. It's a cat sitting behind
- 8:30Speaker 1: the wall right now that's locked up that's so good
- 8:33Speaker 1: at artistry. It's catch in that tattoo and everybody, man,
- 8:38Speaker 1: get out, do it the right way. Quit selling drugs, man,
- 8:42Speaker 1: You ain't going nowhere selling no drugs. You're going to jail,
- 8:46Speaker 1: you thinks are You're going to jail? Man. And if
- 8:48Speaker 1: that don't do it, somebody's gonna get tired of you
- 8:50Speaker 1: selling drugs because they're gonna want to sell them over
- 8:52Speaker 1: and they're gonna kill you. Let's just keep this thing
- 8:54Speaker 1: real for just a second. Here, Come on, man, get
- 8:59Speaker 1: up off your but because you're sitting on the gold mine,
- 9:02Speaker 1: and you're sitting up here, somebody always looking for a
- 9:04Speaker 1: shortcut to the top. Ain't no shortcut. Somebody told me
- 9:07Speaker 1: this the other day. Man. The road to success is
- 9:11Speaker 1: always under construction. It ain't paved, it ain't free of barrels.
- 9:18Speaker 1: It's got detourl signs on it. It's got slow men working.
- 9:24Speaker 1: It's got delays. Sometimes they flipped the stop sign. You
- 9:28Speaker 1: gotta sit there and wait. Sometimes they got slow. There's traffic,
- 9:33Speaker 1: there's accidents. Somebody on the road holding up things with
- 9:37Speaker 1: a flat tie. Sometimes you get a flat tie. It's nails,
- 9:40Speaker 1: it's gravels. This spike is everything. The road to success
- 9:45Speaker 1: is always under construction. It ain't getting ready to be
- 9:49Speaker 1: easy just because you didn't decided to do it. But
- 9:51Speaker 1: don't sit around on your behind and complain all the
- 9:54Speaker 1: time about what you don't have. My daddy said it, Man,
- 9:58Speaker 1: get up off your butt because you sitting on the
- 10:00Speaker 1: gold mine. You got a gift, You gotta talent. You
- 10:04Speaker 1: got something that you can do that could make a
- 10:07Speaker 1: way for you, but you won't do it. It is
- 10:10Speaker 1: within you. Stop looking around. Here's where people waste the
- 10:13Speaker 1: most time on the road to success, looking around at
- 10:17Speaker 1: somebody else, trying to figure out, Man, how can I
- 10:20Speaker 1: do what they did? Do what you do? You ain't
- 10:24Speaker 1: jay Z, You ain't sorry. I got a couple of
- 10:29Speaker 1: your homeies told you you rap better than him, But
- 10:31Speaker 1: you're not jay Z. Really you're not. You know, all
- 10:34Speaker 1: of us can shot at him, but we ain't Richard
- 10:37Speaker 1: pryor a nice shot, Steve Bernie Dear, all of who
- 10:42Speaker 1: took some great shots at it. We're not him. Do
- 10:45Speaker 1: what you can do. Do you do your gift quick
- 10:50Speaker 1: complaining about what you don't have. Get up off your
- 10:53Speaker 1: butt because you're sitting on a gold mine. You're listening
- 10:57Speaker 1: to ladies and gentlemen. I need the boys. I need
- 11:08Speaker 1: the girls. I need your undivided attention because what's about
- 11:13Speaker 1: to happen today didn't happen tomorrow, didn't happen yesterday, ain't
- 11:21Speaker 1: fenn to happen yesterday. Huh I said something there didn't
- 11:26Speaker 1: happen tomorrow, and it ain't fin to happen yesterday. I
- 11:32Speaker 1: said something right there. You you better flip it, you
- 11:40Speaker 1: better say something. He ain't nobody ever heard, you know
- 11:45Speaker 1: the future. It didn't happen tomorrow. Today, I'm just gonna
- 11:50Speaker 1: say a bunch of stuff you've never heard before. Welcome
- 11:53Speaker 1: to the show. Uh, Shirley's off today. Good morning Color,
- 11:56Speaker 1: Good morning Steve, Hey fellas, what's up? What's junior? Ball? Morning? Up?
- 12:01Speaker 1: Was happing people? What out full? Your side in the building. Yeah,
- 12:07Speaker 1: so it's just us, Yeah, just to two of us. M. Well,
- 12:15Speaker 1: you're in a good movie, you're feeling good. Well, you know,
- 12:18Speaker 1: I'm coming down off of the SIGNS infection that I had,
- 12:21Speaker 1: and I got a little bit of a little heavy
- 12:23Speaker 1: drainage still going on, but I'm getting my voice back,
- 12:26Speaker 1: and it's still a little bit clogged up. But you
- 12:30Speaker 1: know the show must go over clearly, that is our call,
- 12:37Speaker 1: is the goal. Yes, and so today I'm gonna make
- 12:41Speaker 1: a series of statements that you've obviously never heard. Okay,
- 12:48Speaker 1: so you started the show saying what was that? You're
- 12:51Speaker 1: saying now we're gonna do something that didn't happen tomorrow,
- 13:03Speaker 1: and it ain't fit to happen yesterday. You gotta understand.
- 13:08Speaker 1: You gotta understand. We're gonna do something today that ain't
- 13:14Speaker 1: happened tomorrow. Come on, and ain't fitting to happen yesterday.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Come on, man, future, the past, and the president. See.
- 13:24Speaker 1: The future belongs to God. The past belongs to history.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Come on. The present is our guilt. Today is our guilt.
- 13:40Speaker 1: That's why they call it the present. Yes, you got
- 13:45Speaker 1: a minister, I said case you didn't hear that. I said,
- 13:50Speaker 1: Tomorrow belongs to God, Yesterday belongs to history. Today is
- 13:57Speaker 1: our guilt. That's why they call it the present. I'm
- 14:02Speaker 1: gonna you've been open up your boat, had a payball
- 14:10Speaker 1: off your box work. We're that let him use you
- 14:18Speaker 1: something funny. It's coming up. What did y'all want me
- 14:22Speaker 1: to do for third? Is something funny? Tell us about
- 14:24Speaker 1: the talk show. You have some special guests, special guests
- 14:27Speaker 1: from the country. Yesterday you didn't know what we'll be
- 14:30Speaker 1: talking about that when I come back. I got two
- 14:33Speaker 1: women from the b STAM. I love his story. Steve
- 14:38Speaker 1: can tell a story. We'll be back at thirty two.
- 14:40Speaker 1: After trapped in the bathroom, you're listening to Steve Harvey
- 14:46Speaker 1: Morning Show. All right, Steve, it's time for something funny. Now,
- 14:50Speaker 1: you said she was gonna tell us about the talk show.
- 14:52Speaker 1: You had some guests from the country. Now what appisode?
- 14:56Speaker 1: This lady stood up in hey Steve to ask me
- 14:58Speaker 1: this question. And her mama had been invited out to
- 15:01Speaker 1: l A. They was from North Carolina, South Carolina, but
- 15:05Speaker 1: they had moved to phillip He had moved out the
- 15:08Speaker 1: name with a J. He had moved out here to
- 15:10Speaker 1: l A over a year ago. And they didn't like
- 15:13Speaker 1: to change in him because now he bush who is he?
- 15:16Speaker 1: Who is a J? Is one of her son, the
- 15:20Speaker 1: mother and the grandmother coming out to visit the ball.
- 15:24Speaker 1: But he loved him, but he didn't change. You know
- 15:26Speaker 1: that food different. So she's taking him to l A party.
- 15:29Speaker 1: He taking the l A party. Now he embarrassed because
- 15:33Speaker 1: he didn't have to go to the grandmama to talk
- 15:35Speaker 1: about his mama because she had the parties too loud,
- 15:39Speaker 1: Cussie and drank. Now the later said, well, what were
- 15:44Speaker 1: supposed to do at the party her, No, mama the
- 15:49Speaker 1: only one out the electric slide. People just look at
- 15:54Speaker 1: look at me. They're trying to get the party started.
- 15:57Speaker 1: Come out a j he in bads you know, said
- 16:00Speaker 1: he wiped his mouth every time he take a drink. Now,
- 16:03Speaker 1: I don't know what's going on with him. So we
- 16:05Speaker 1: got to talking and I got some She says, Steve,
- 16:08Speaker 1: we know you kind of country. How do you do
- 16:11Speaker 1: when your relatives come out here? And I said, I
- 16:14Speaker 1: don't have mine out there. I don't bring man out here.
- 16:17Speaker 1: There's nothing to mess my money obviously, aj ain't got
- 16:21Speaker 1: no money to mess up. So he y'alled. We got talking.
- 16:26Speaker 1: So one thing laying through another, we go off Cameron,
- 16:29Speaker 1: we're talking about NASA once. They're having a good time
- 16:31Speaker 1: out here. So they say, well, you know the food though,
- 16:36Speaker 1: So finally we got on talking about food, and I
- 16:38Speaker 1: asked him that they went to Roscoe Chicken and Wapple.
- 16:41Speaker 1: We went tell yesterday. Okay, that's the best food we
- 16:45Speaker 1: had Steve. I said, okay, what you get the fried chickens,
- 16:49Speaker 1: some grits, and some cheese eggs. I said, you weren't
- 16:53Speaker 1: ready for the waffle. I don't see how that go.
- 16:58Speaker 1: That's how I said, Okay, then, real, yeah, I don't
- 17:03Speaker 1: see how that go. I said, no, I really do
- 17:06Speaker 1: go together. I ain't. We never did, and I didn't
- 17:12Speaker 1: want to orders because we had already messed up everything else.
- 17:15Speaker 1: We didn't already been wrong out here. You know they
- 17:19Speaker 1: have all this stuff out So I said, we're one
- 17:21Speaker 1: thing I taught. I said, have you ever been to
- 17:23Speaker 1: Harold and Bells? Because they're back open. Haroln Bell's creole
- 17:27Speaker 1: restaurant out here, That the one several Hoodie Awards for
- 17:29Speaker 1: best restaurant food out here. Boy off the shape. So
- 17:34Speaker 1: Harolen Bell's is back over. So I told them, I said,
- 17:37Speaker 1: why don't y'all go to Helen Bell better? Y'all tell
- 17:39Speaker 1: you what? How did y'all get over here? They said
- 17:41Speaker 1: in the uber? So I said, I'll tell you what.
- 17:44Speaker 1: I'm gonna get a car service. I'm gonna get you
- 17:47Speaker 1: all a big Mercedes, and I'm gonna have a Mercedes.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Take y'all the haroling Bell, wait on y'all and carry
- 17:54Speaker 1: y'all back to your son's play. Jeez, we never been
- 17:59Speaker 1: in no say this, So I said, okay. So I
- 18:04Speaker 1: called my driver downstairs. I said, Cliff. My driver said,
- 18:07Speaker 1: get them a cart serve. Cliff came back and said, Boss,
- 18:11Speaker 1: we can't get Mercedes over here for another hour and
- 18:14Speaker 1: a half. But when I can get an SUV right now,
- 18:17Speaker 1: sitting on Cliff, they old man, I don't want them
- 18:19Speaker 1: climbing up and down out on the truck right So
- 18:23Speaker 1: I said, see what you can get? He said, Boss,
- 18:24Speaker 1: I can get a Cadillac. I said, with a Cadillac,
- 18:27Speaker 1: that's cool. It ain't the same. So I said, I
- 18:30Speaker 1: tell y'all what Mr Mayo over Neil, I said, this
- 18:35Speaker 1: is what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna have my driver
- 18:40Speaker 1: take y'all to Hell and Bell in my car. What
- 18:44Speaker 1: what what? Oh? So lady said Steve, you got a
- 18:52Speaker 1: merced that. I said, no, No, I ain't got no Mercedes.
- 18:59Speaker 1: So uh, this white lady stood up and say he
- 19:02Speaker 1: probably got that new Lexus black luderstand ow the hell
- 19:07Speaker 1: he got Alex? I got Alex on the commercial break?
- 19:14Speaker 1: They are what cost? He got, so they all did
- 19:22Speaker 1: about my caring ladies sell. When I'm showing what if
- 19:25Speaker 1: the old ladyship will live, I'm showing whatever you got,
- 19:28Speaker 1: it's a nice car. So black dude, what you got?
- 19:32Speaker 1: Stave Man? I love about people, So I'll say, I'll
- 19:39Speaker 1: tell you what my driver gonna take you. I have
- 19:43Speaker 1: a Bentley mos Saine out there now. First, I said clip,
- 19:48Speaker 1: I said, what can we drive in today? Well? I
- 19:51Speaker 1: don't know, boss, I said, which one we drive there?
- 19:54Speaker 1: Where you got seven? We drive flexing? Just which one
- 20:03Speaker 1: did we try today? I don't know, Boss, you got something?
- 20:06Speaker 1: I said, Hey, man, anybody asked you holiday? What car
- 20:09Speaker 1: we drive there? I think I think I got Yeah, Yeah,
- 20:12Speaker 1: we got Bentley day Ball. So I said, I'm gonna
- 20:14Speaker 1: put y'all in the Bentley mall, saying black dude, saying
- 20:18Speaker 1: the hell is that? Man? Bentley? Hell is that? I said, small,
- 20:27Speaker 1: saying that it's a big Basley's a little bit different,
- 20:31Speaker 1: oh man. So the executive producer came over to and said, Steve,
- 20:35Speaker 1: let's film it. Let's film them going down getting in
- 20:42Speaker 1: your car, and let's make it a segment on the
- 20:45Speaker 1: show when they are so when it asks you're going
- 20:48Speaker 1: to see Ms Melvin. Them getting in my car. I
- 20:54Speaker 1: North Carolina, Yes, Cliff, driving them down that now, I
- 20:58Speaker 1: got a bar in the back. Come a car right
- 21:01Speaker 1: what wait what? Yeah? Yeah, you got one back. We
- 21:06Speaker 1: got all rich. You've been to go down a different
- 21:08Speaker 1: street right now, old keep going, keep going. I called Cliff,

- 23:51Speaker 1: that that's funny. That's a good that's a good deed,
- 23:55Speaker 1: a good part A part of it's gonna air on
- 23:57Speaker 1: the TV show. Okay, all right, and we can go
- 24:00Speaker 1: to see probably FM two and on the gram and
- 24:02Speaker 1: check our party the video. Come on, nephew, let's guy,
- 24:04Speaker 1: it's real. Quiate. We're gonna run it back r S
- 24:07Speaker 1: speak for it, Speak for it set. Hello. Hello, I'm
- 24:11Speaker 1: trying to reach Regina Sleep. How you doing. My name
- 24:16Speaker 1: is Mark. I'm actually calling you from the Income tax office.
- 24:19Speaker 1: Did you actually did you receive your income tax check yet? No?
- 24:24Speaker 1: I haven't received I'm waiting on it now. Okay, Now,
- 24:27Speaker 1: there was a check man that was sent out for
- 24:31Speaker 1: dollars that was probably about two weeks ago. You never
- 24:34Speaker 1: received that check. No, I haven't received it. I'm waiting
- 24:37Speaker 1: on it. Okay. Wow, okay, Uh, what what address did
- 24:42Speaker 1: you send it to? We're looking at let's see fifteen
- 24:46Speaker 1: O one Avenue. No, that's that's not my that's not
- 24:51Speaker 1: my address. I don't live there. That's my mom's address.
- 24:54Speaker 1: That's where it was actually sent to. Man, was I
- 24:56Speaker 1: guess to your mother's address. That's the address that I
- 24:59Speaker 1: play down. I'm not, I'm not. That's not my mistake
- 25:04Speaker 1: right now, I understand that. I'm not sure what the complicated.
- 25:07Speaker 1: Now the problem I'm looking at, family, is that it's
- 25:10Speaker 1: it's showing at our records here that this this check
- 25:13Speaker 1: has been cash. How has the check been cast? I
- 25:16Speaker 1: haven't received the check. Just let me look a little
- 25:19Speaker 1: further here. Um, let's see. Are you familiar with a
- 25:23Speaker 1: was a project? Yeah, that's my brother, but he's not
- 25:30Speaker 1: he's that that money is not going to him. That's
- 25:33Speaker 1: actually have my name on it, not no project. Okay,
- 25:36Speaker 1: it was actually cash by a project two days after
- 25:39Speaker 1: it was delivered to uh this fifteen one? No kay.
- 25:45Speaker 1: So we need to find out how you can send
- 25:47Speaker 1: me that money back and get that money back and
- 25:49Speaker 1: send me a check because like I said, I didn't
- 25:52Speaker 1: put that address down. That is not you know that
- 25:55Speaker 1: just the checks you'd be coming to me. That's not
- 25:59Speaker 1: my problem them. So you guys need to rectify the
- 26:02Speaker 1: problem and give me my money. Okay, he evidently does
- 26:05Speaker 1: a problem. Your your your brother, I guess, is evidently
- 26:08Speaker 1: cashed your teck. You know what this cratchheads even that's
- 26:11Speaker 1: why I did. I've moved out of a place, and y'all,
- 26:14Speaker 1: y'all should be sending me money to my house, not
- 26:16Speaker 1: over there. Okay. Now, the reason man, that I was
- 26:19Speaker 1: actually calling initially was to let you know, uh, we
- 26:22Speaker 1: sent you a check for fift hundred and eighty dollars, okay,
- 26:26Speaker 1: And the problem is is that it was a miscalculation
- 26:29Speaker 1: on this whole thing and we actually needed you. Need
- 26:31Speaker 1: you actually to send four fifty dollars back to us
- 26:35Speaker 1: because we sent you too months. Oh you got me.
- 26:38Speaker 1: I'm sorry, but no, I worked off all through the year.
- 26:42Speaker 1: I went and May and and did find my taxes
- 26:45Speaker 1: and I did everything correctly. Now, if y'all send me
- 26:48Speaker 1: too much money, that's your problem. I ain't sending no
- 26:51Speaker 1: money back to y'all. Man, We're gonna have to get you. Well,
- 26:55Speaker 1: you're gonna have to find it somewhere else because you're
- 26:57Speaker 1: not gonna get it from me. I don't want to
- 27:00Speaker 1: you you way. Let gonna tell you what you need
- 27:02Speaker 1: to do. Okay. You need to send me another check.
- 27:04Speaker 1: That's what you need to do. Because I never received it.
- 27:07Speaker 1: We're not gonna be able to send another check, ma'am
- 27:09Speaker 1: until we get first of all before. But you don't
- 27:13Speaker 1: understand you you're you're not listening, you're not understanding. Where
- 27:16Speaker 1: is your supervisor? I need to super I need to
- 27:18Speaker 1: speak to a supervisor because honestly, you're not doing your
- 27:21Speaker 1: job right. I'm actually the supervisor, ma'am. And what I'm
- 27:24Speaker 1: going to explain to you is that I need to
- 27:26Speaker 1: come in and tell you how to do your job.
- 27:29Speaker 1: Excuse his man was not on the check you're sending
- 27:31Speaker 1: sending there in the first place. Well, uh, you know,
- 27:35Speaker 1: I don't understand who your brother is, but the project
- 27:37Speaker 1: cash this check. I don't know what's going on, crackhead.
- 27:41Speaker 1: I don't. He shouldn't be casting, he shouldn't be send
- 27:44Speaker 1: it over there, mam. I do apologize to these problems.
- 27:47Speaker 1: I do. Apology is not expected that what was gonna
- 27:50Speaker 1: make me happy? If you send me a check to
- 27:53Speaker 1: the corrected dress? Where can we expect to check from
- 27:56Speaker 1: you for no? Well, I'm sorry, but I haven't even
- 27:59Speaker 1: received how much and do some money and I haven't
- 28:01Speaker 1: received my money yet. Okay, man, if we don't receive
- 28:04Speaker 1: the four or fifty within a week, we're gonna have
- 28:05Speaker 1: to put a freeze on your account. How you're gonna
- 28:08Speaker 1: see put it on a freeze of money? Telling I
- 28:10Speaker 1: haven't received my check and you gonta send it over
- 28:12Speaker 1: to that crackad. You know you need to see in
- 28:15Speaker 1: my check. That's what you need to do, trying to
- 28:17Speaker 1: freeze my money. I don't even get no money. What
- 28:19Speaker 1: are you talking about? You need to get my money.
- 28:21Speaker 1: That's what you need to do. If you're you're cracking
- 28:26Speaker 1: that brother, that's cap check and run off with it.
- 28:28Speaker 1: We can't do anything about that. You know what. No, No,
- 28:32Speaker 1: that's what you you. I don't care your your mistakes
- 28:35Speaker 1: that y'all made is that you send it to the
- 28:37Speaker 1: wrong house and then you want to try and freeze
- 28:39Speaker 1: my account. You got me stuff, Okay, that's what you
- 28:42Speaker 1: need to do. You need to send me my money.
- 28:44Speaker 1: You're sending to the wrong place. That's not my mistake,
- 28:46Speaker 1: that's your mistake. I got listen now, I don't want
- 28:49Speaker 1: to time to go back and forth. I got a
- 28:50Speaker 1: one more thing I need to say. Listen, the only
- 28:52Speaker 1: thing you need to be telling me is that you're
- 28:54Speaker 1: sending my check. All you listening to me? Now, y'all
- 28:57Speaker 1: made that mistake. This is enough. You tell me from
- 29:00Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You just got pranked by
- 29:03Speaker 1: your cousin Reggick. Oh my god, gave me a baby.
- 29:15Speaker 1: Where my money at? Your money probably on the way, baby,
- 29:20Speaker 1: But it's I hope they got to write interest because
- 29:25Speaker 1: you're gonna lose your mind. Oh we I'm shaking right now. Hey, hey, hey,
- 29:35Speaker 1: rig I got one more one more thing that a baby.

- 30:39Speaker 1: up next with National News. You're listening to Steve Harvey
- 30:42Speaker 1: Morning Show. Well, Steve Tyler Perry's new movie Acrimony may
- 30:51Speaker 1: be too relatable to your boy fifty cent. Now you
- 30:56Speaker 1: know this movie surrounds uh to g p Henson, who
- 30:59Speaker 1: plays a scorned wife seeking revenge. Well, fifty said the
- 31:03Speaker 1: movie had him scared as a blank. He was on
- 31:08Speaker 1: the Graham and he said that, man, I went to
- 31:10Speaker 1: see Tyler Perry's movie shaking my head and that movie
- 31:15Speaker 1: was horror. I thought my baby mama was gonna come
- 31:19Speaker 1: out the closet. Boy through what you've been through. So yeah,
- 31:26Speaker 1: fifty said, Tyler did his thing. He was really scared
- 31:29Speaker 1: of Acrimony. And Steve, you talked about this movie one.
- 31:32Speaker 1: I'm going to movie what I gotta go for it.
- 31:35Speaker 1: A matter of fact, I'm suing Tyler. Put that on TMZ.
- 31:40Speaker 1: Steve Harvey sues long time Free and Tyler for doing
- 31:46Speaker 1: his damn life without his that TMZ tweet that out
- 31:53Speaker 1: up in the seer. Yeah, just do that. Just see
- 31:56Speaker 1: what had. I gotta go down and let's see what
- 31:59Speaker 1: they're talking about. You're going through Tyler your life story. Well,
- 32:03Speaker 1: since like this movie, acrimony has has you, gots scared
- 32:07Speaker 1: like fatal attraction. Remember back in the day, all the
- 32:09Speaker 1: fellows were scared about failor attraction. But everybody's saying it
- 32:12Speaker 1: ends different like you ain't. You can't predicting spoiler alert,
- 32:16Speaker 1: We're not gonna tell you all about it. I don't know.
- 32:17Speaker 1: I ain't seen. I'm going to see it. See you
- 32:19Speaker 1: gotta go see this movie though it's about you. He
- 32:22Speaker 1: ain't got to go see it. Got to see all.
- 32:25Speaker 1: I gotta do it clothed my eye, relieve. Hell, I'm
- 32:29Speaker 1: gonna be at that movie for I'm telling you left
- 32:33Speaker 1: this out forgot this part. No, I'm not going to see.
- 32:41Speaker 1: I ain't saying no names, no nothing, but what I
- 32:43Speaker 1: ain't got to do this like me watching Roots again?
- 32:48Speaker 1: How is that you? No? No Roots, man, I only
- 32:53Speaker 1: watched one time when I was in college. I cannot
- 32:56Speaker 1: watch it again. That's why you didn't watch a second
- 32:58Speaker 1: when they did that they read it. You didn't watch that?
- 33:01Speaker 1: Oh no, no, no, yeah, I watched The Roots when
- 33:05Speaker 1: it came on. I was in college and I've never
- 33:08Speaker 1: seen it again, and they play it every year. I
- 33:10Speaker 1: can't watch it. I just cannot watch that. It was
- 33:14Speaker 1: great what they did, and it painted a very vivid picture.
- 33:20Speaker 1: It's I get nothing from that except anger. I get nothing.
- 33:25Speaker 1: I get no motivation from it. From my standpoint watching Roots,
- 33:30Speaker 1: I'm just angry at a level that's not healthy for me. Yeah,
- 33:36Speaker 1: it's a very painful movie. It's it's our history. It's
- 33:39Speaker 1: hard to watch. So it was a lot going on
- 33:42Speaker 1: in college. Oh let me tell you something, man, Roots.
- 33:46Speaker 1: Roots reared up its ugly head where we understood a
- 33:50Speaker 1: lot more about racism because it was white students, you know,
- 33:54Speaker 1: because we had TV lounges and everybody would gather to
- 33:58Speaker 1: watch Roots on campus, down in the dorm, and whites
- 34:03Speaker 1: would come down there and be playing be up on
- 34:06Speaker 1: the wall with their shirt off, and another boy over
- 34:08Speaker 1: there whipping him with a little piece of light. Oh no, man,
- 34:12Speaker 1: we were a man. Let me tell you something. We
- 34:14Speaker 1: was walking in the TV rooms and we was up
- 34:17Speaker 1: in it. No, no, no, So now why he tied
- 34:20Speaker 1: up on there? Oh, since you're whipping him with this,
- 34:22Speaker 1: let me show you what they really had. Now, some
- 34:24Speaker 1: black dude and pull off a leather bell with a
- 34:26Speaker 1: buckle on it and then went across his back with it.
- 34:30Speaker 1: What he thinking it's his friend? Now he didn't let
- 34:34Speaker 1: out a real blood curtain in Yale. He said, no,
- 34:37Speaker 1: now that's hose happening in Roots. I mean we it
- 34:40Speaker 1: was just a bunch of episodes, and that it was
- 34:42Speaker 1: ugly on our campus doing the filming of Roots, and
- 34:45Speaker 1: it just brought back too much. I got too painful
- 34:48Speaker 1: to come on, Steve. And she's here, ladies and gentlemen,
- 34:53Speaker 1: she's here very only this and trip trip, trip trip,
- 34:57Speaker 1: Thank you Steve. Morning, everybody, This is a trip with
- 34:59Speaker 1: the news. With churches around the country rang their bells
- 35:02Speaker 1: thirty nine times at seven oh five last night. That
- 35:06Speaker 1: was the time fifty years ago when the Reverend Martin
- 35:07Speaker 1: Luther King was assassinated. It was thirty nine times for
- 35:11Speaker 1: every year that the Civil Rights Icon was alive. Earlier
- 35:14Speaker 1: in the day, they were marches to commemorate the day
- 35:16Speaker 1: by both labor and civil rights groups. President Trump signed
- 35:19Speaker 1: to measure designating a park in Indianapolis a National Historic Site.
- 35:23Speaker 1: That park has now since been named after Dr. King,
- 35:26Speaker 1: but anyway, it's where the late Robert Kennedy delivered it
- 35:29Speaker 1: impromptu speech only hours after the Nobel Peace Prize winner
- 35:32Speaker 1: was murdered. Civil Rights icon Congressman John Lewis told the
- 35:36Speaker 1: crowd about the man he knew and the man he
- 35:38Speaker 1: worked with parageous. Meanwhile, in Memphis, a black cloth was
- 35:47Speaker 1: draped over the railing of the balcony of the Lorraine
- 35:50Speaker 1: Hotel motel actually where Dr King was killed. The Reverend
- 35:54Speaker 1: Jesse Jackson, who was on that back at balcony that day,
- 35:56Speaker 1: he was twenty six years old. He shared his thoughts.
- 36:00Speaker 1: By God, they come back here fifty years later, and
- 36:03Speaker 1: every time the scab comes off, the so is still raw,
- 36:08Speaker 1: the blood still loses. This is the site of the crucifixion.
- 36:12Speaker 1: Another far from here is the resurrection, the new hope,
- 36:16Speaker 1: and the new possibilities. And he says those possibilities do abound.
- 36:20Speaker 1: Police in Texas are reviewing over eighty cases involving unexplained
- 36:23Speaker 1: murders of elderly men and women to see if they
- 36:25Speaker 1: were all caused by the same person. A forty five
- 36:28Speaker 1: year old Dallas man named Billy chamer Reer. Chamer Reer
- 36:30Speaker 1: was arrested in connection with one elderly murder and reportedly
- 36:33Speaker 1: found a possession of items belonged to another elderly murder victim.
- 36:38Speaker 1: According to the New York Daily News, the Baltimore Ravens
- 36:40Speaker 1: were about to hire Colin Kaepernick last year, but coach
- 36:43Speaker 1: John Harbaugh, who spoke very highly about Kaepernick's talent, was advised,
- 36:47Speaker 1: apparently by one of his friends, not to That friend
- 36:51Speaker 1: is reportedly a high ranking military official, although he's not
- 36:54Speaker 1: named in the story. Colin Kaepernick started, of course, the
- 36:56Speaker 1: NFL players protests against racism and police brutality by kneeling
- 37:01Speaker 1: during the national anthem. Well. According to TMZ, this military
- 37:04Speaker 1: officer told Harbor to get Kaepernick to agree to a
- 37:07Speaker 1: new team rule which would forbid players from kneeling during
- 37:11Speaker 1: the anthem if they wanted to keep their jobs. Anyway,
- 37:14Speaker 1: he didn't hire Colin Kaepernick. Jury selection is over for
- 37:17Speaker 1: Bill Cosby's retrial for sexual assault in Pennsylvania. That panel
- 37:22Speaker 1: includes seven men and five women. Among the seven and
- 37:25Speaker 1: five are two black people. Yesterday, the issue of race
- 37:28Speaker 1: came up because the defense was saying that the prosecution
- 37:31Speaker 1: was deliberately keeping blacks off the jury and they stopped
- 37:34Speaker 1: for a while and then they resumed after, you know,
- 37:36Speaker 1: after a while. But there was that was that that
- 37:38Speaker 1: the trouble, a little bit about who's going to be
- 37:40Speaker 1: in the jury and what color everybody. It was Finally
- 37:43Speaker 1: today we honor Italian shoes, and so do I. We'll
- 37:48Speaker 1: be back with more entertainment and today's training topics. Twenty
- 37:51Speaker 1: minutes after the hour the Stevie Harvey Horn Show. You're
- 37:55Speaker 1: listening to the stow All are on Tiger Woods. The
- 38:02Speaker 1: Masters are coming up Tiger Woods. He's yeah, the free jacket.
- 38:09Speaker 1: He's wanted what about four times? He's one of the
- 38:11Speaker 1: Masters title and it's his first appearance, I think since
- 38:13Speaker 1: about two thousand and fifteen. And one more thing, there's
- 38:17Speaker 1: been a crackdown to remove all hecklers from the golf tournament.
- 38:23Speaker 1: So lately there's been hecklers at the golf tournaments. And
- 38:26Speaker 1: one officials said, if you're going to the Masters, don't
- 38:29Speaker 1: even think about yelling silly stuff like dilly dilly and
- 38:34Speaker 1: all that old kind of stuff. You will be removed.
- 38:37Speaker 1: They are not playing. Would you pay all that money?
- 38:40Speaker 1: And then you know say something, well, the Masters ain't
- 38:43Speaker 1: gonna play that look, you know, um, when you play
- 38:45Speaker 1: the one in Arizona where they got the stadium, the
- 38:49Speaker 1: waste management. Yeah yeah, yeah, you know that tournament is different.
- 38:52Speaker 1: They go there, they participate, the players have fun with it.
- 38:56Speaker 1: The Masters is a different tournament. It's too much tradition.
- 38:59Speaker 1: They're not gonna have out of all that you hauling
- 39:01Speaker 1: out Deally deally and all this help. Ain't nobody man, Well,
- 39:05Speaker 1: they don't play. It's tradition at the Masters, and I
- 39:08Speaker 1: think that's cool. You know that heckling. But they do
- 39:11Speaker 1: a lot of other nasty heckling too. You know, you know,
- 39:15Speaker 1: you know about your personal life because people think they're
- 39:18Speaker 1: funny now called social media. You don't even do that. Man,
- 39:21Speaker 1: you're going home down there. Okay, they said they're not
- 39:25Speaker 1: tolerating it. So how's your golf game? You and Tommy Junior?
- 39:29Speaker 1: You same as it was. It ain't changing. I ain't
- 39:34Speaker 1: got better. Oh you haven't. No, I don't play enough
- 39:38Speaker 1: to get better. I ain't even good what you're pretty
- 39:42Speaker 1: good for somebody. You're good to yourself and in my falsome,
- 39:48Speaker 1: I'm head man. You can't put nobody else hot there
- 39:54Speaker 1: in the four people that you play with you, all right? Yeah,
- 39:58Speaker 1: when he does get on the simulate color, do you
- 40:00Speaker 1: know Steve go puts on a whole golf outfit to
- 40:03Speaker 1: play on the similar I thought we was going to
- 40:05Speaker 1: the golf cars. I'm in the car waiting on him.
- 40:07Speaker 1: Where you're going? We played golf right here. We got
- 40:10Speaker 1: his g got get gloves, shoes, matching pants, shirt, hat.
- 40:17Speaker 1: My pro shop is downstairs by the simulator. Wait, you
- 40:21Speaker 1: have a pro shop from himself with price. You have
- 40:27Speaker 1: a pro shop in your house. He sells clubs. You
- 40:31Speaker 1: hear me. If you come over, you ain't got no shoes.
- 40:36Speaker 1: I got shoes. You ain't got no gloves. I got gloves.
- 40:39Speaker 1: You know, we get ready go somewhere. You need a
- 40:40Speaker 1: certain ball. I got titless Callaway Taylor Made, Pinnacle, Wilson Stones, titless. Yeah,
- 40:52Speaker 1: I got past all colors already. I got extra golf bags,
- 40:57Speaker 1: extra clubs. He's killing it. All right. We're coming up
- 41:02Speaker 1: at thirty or four after the hour, being broke and
- 41:05Speaker 1: having friends who are not. We're gonna talk about that.
- 41:09Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Steve, here's
- 41:14Speaker 1: a question. Well, actually it's probably for junior and Tommy
- 41:17Speaker 1: because Steve, we know that our jobs isn't as lucrative
- 41:21Speaker 1: as your Steve. So because when we're with you, when
- 41:24Speaker 1: we're with you, Steve, you pay for everything, right, y'all
- 41:29Speaker 1: don't right? Right? So some time pay Junior hands? Yeah, okay,
- 41:36Speaker 1: I've never seen it, all right, you haven't called ever?
- 41:43Speaker 1: And Noah will I? No, no ever? No? So okay,
- 41:48Speaker 1: So here's a question for Junior and Tommy. So think
- 41:50Speaker 1: about your friends and family. You're the ones who make
- 41:53Speaker 1: the decent money in this friendship or in your family. Yeah,
- 41:58Speaker 1: now do you splurge on them or do you feel
- 42:01Speaker 1: like they're eleech or? And and does money actually change everything?
- 42:08Speaker 1: Can we talk about something else? Why? Because I don't
- 42:12Speaker 1: need my family and used to listening. Well, we gotta
- 42:15Speaker 1: go on say it though, Julie flurg on them. I
- 42:20Speaker 1: guess my problem is this when I think you expected Okay,
- 42:25Speaker 1: when we sit down for dinner at a restaurant and
- 42:27Speaker 1: it's fift twenty, I think I've started and I've been
- 42:32Speaker 1: telling my wife. I said, I think they expect this
- 42:33Speaker 1: all the dayn time, and nobody said I got by,
- 42:36Speaker 1: I got me and my wife I got I don't
- 42:38Speaker 1: nobody to say that. It's just past that envelope down
- 42:42Speaker 1: at the time. They're not fitting to say that either.
- 42:45Speaker 1: They're not because you're talking to somebody's speaking up right now.
- 42:47Speaker 1: That's ahead. I can walk y'all through the whole process.
- 42:51Speaker 1: But please don't expect them to ever us say it.
- 42:55Speaker 1: They don't fix their lips and ain't fitting to come.
- 43:00Speaker 1: Don't don't don't. Don't prepare your ears like no, because
- 43:04Speaker 1: they didn't. They didn't say it. They're not fitness say it.
- 43:09Speaker 1: They ain't about to say it. Hello, iFIT pay for everything.
- 43:14Speaker 1: So what I do with my family when I'm around him,
- 43:16Speaker 1: I just treat him first class. Y'all Just come on
- 43:18Speaker 1: this to life here. It is welcome. When y'all go home.
- 43:24Speaker 1: You know, I take care of my family. Now, you
- 43:26Speaker 1: know my bus and sisters. They ain't got they ain't
- 43:29Speaker 1: gotta work. I co here go, y'alls. You know you
- 43:32Speaker 1: know some mair moth. Here you go. I love y'all.
- 43:35Speaker 1: I don't want y'all struggling a little little baby blood
- 43:38Speaker 1: doing good. Hell after that, that's it. M hm see,
- 43:46Speaker 1: But what idea was? I had to do that because
- 43:48Speaker 1: I had to stop the constant request fairness, air, conditional, brown,
- 43:56Speaker 1: I need ties, so they kept coming to you. Is
- 44:00Speaker 1: connection Note M I went to the doctor. Hold up,
- 44:05Speaker 1: hold hold you gotta pay the doctor. And you know, man,
- 44:10Speaker 1: it becomes a request from two sisters and nephew. My
- 44:15Speaker 1: nephew never asked me for the two sisters, two brothers,
- 44:19Speaker 1: just the request. I'm trying to fix my garage. Can
- 44:22Speaker 1: you help me that? Damn dope, it's this slide and
- 44:27Speaker 1: to see I don't want to hear that. So what
- 44:30Speaker 1: I do is I just I got everybody in a situation.
- 44:35Speaker 1: Here we are. Everybody got a little payroll check coming
- 44:38Speaker 1: from here. It is every month. You know you're gonna
- 44:41Speaker 1: get that all y'all pensions, y'all can keep your pensions
- 44:44Speaker 1: that you've earned off your jobs, retirement money, and higgo
- 44:48Speaker 1: your little baby brother throwing it a little bit more. Now,
- 44:52Speaker 1: can you make it from there? Because I feel as
- 44:54Speaker 1: though you shoot and they don't see how we can't
- 45:01Speaker 1: get Now. That's cool because I think a lot of
- 45:04Speaker 1: people that are listening right now, you know, they're the
- 45:07Speaker 1: bread winners of their family and friends. This is a
- 45:10Speaker 1: common problem that you know, everybody's dealing with So it's
- 45:13Speaker 1: cool to hear from you, Steve. Well, you're rich enough
- 45:15Speaker 1: where you can put your family on your pay roll. Now, look,
- 45:17Speaker 1: most most people can't do that. But here's what I
- 45:20Speaker 1: suggest you do. Thank you. Here's what you do. Work
- 45:23Speaker 1: out a nominal amount of money or it's a word minimal,
- 45:28Speaker 1: I don't know what it make. Work out the small
- 45:31Speaker 1: amount of money that you can afford that you know
- 45:34Speaker 1: they're gonna beg you out of anyway, and just say, look,
- 45:39Speaker 1: once a month, I'm gonna send you a hunted Hunting fifty.
- 45:43Speaker 1: Once a month, I'm gonna seeing you to hunter whatever
- 45:45Speaker 1: that number is, right, And just here you go, man,
- 45:49Speaker 1: take care of yourself out all. But we'll keep talking
- 46:00Speaker 1: about this. And nephew, you got another prank for us
- 46:03Speaker 1: on deck right after this. You're listening to Steve Harvey
- 46:07Speaker 1: Morning Show coming up at the top of the hour.
- 46:10Speaker 1: We got to write about four minutes after Strawberry Letter.
- 46:13Speaker 1: Shirley is out, Steve. We'll read the letter. The subject
- 46:17Speaker 1: is with holding sex as a punishment? I'll respond, and
- 46:21Speaker 1: what yes, withholding sex as a punishment is today's subject
- 46:26Speaker 1: of Strawberry Letter. But the nephew, you have a prank call.
- 46:29Speaker 1: What you got a prank call in a quick courtion? Okay, okay,
- 46:32Speaker 1: question first on where do you draw the line. And
- 46:36Speaker 1: we just got to talking about taking care of family
- 46:40Speaker 1: means when you're making money, blah blah blah. So of
- 46:42Speaker 1: course I take care of my mom and my baby's sister.
- 46:45Speaker 1: Tell me where that line he is, like, my wife
- 46:48Speaker 1: got aside. You see what I'm saying. She got a sister,
- 46:52Speaker 1: her family, her family. Okay, my dad is side, uncle's
- 46:57Speaker 1: over their aunties over there. Do you draw that line? Okay,
- 47:02Speaker 1: this is my line. Immediate family members only parents, you know,
- 47:11Speaker 1: man like. We take care of Marjorie's parents. Oh come
- 47:14Speaker 1: on now, I treat them like my mom and daddy.
- 47:18Speaker 1: I ain't gonna let nothing happen to them. We send
- 47:21Speaker 1: them on several cruises a year because they like cruise.
- 47:24Speaker 1: But you ain't gotta be You ain't gotta afourd do that.
- 47:26Speaker 1: You ain't gonna do that. But they get a monthly ciphon'
- 47:29Speaker 1: theyin't gotta want for nothing. They ain't gotta want for nothing. Now,
- 47:33Speaker 1: marjorie brother is a man, so he take care of
- 47:36Speaker 1: his own family. He came up. Oh yeah, bump junior
- 47:41Speaker 1: man's man. He take care of his family, run their
- 47:43Speaker 1: business everything. I never had no problem with him. She
- 47:46Speaker 1: only got one brother, so I'm cool. I'm the one
- 47:49Speaker 1: got the family, so I don't took care of all
- 47:56Speaker 1: of them. My brothers and sisters don't have to worry
- 47:59Speaker 1: about nothing. Now I got a nephew, man that's a
- 48:02Speaker 1: month older than me. We just like brothers. That's not
- 48:05Speaker 1: what I mean. All ain't never asked me for nothing.
- 48:08Speaker 1: I thought we all out in nine then too. Just
- 48:11Speaker 1: a little something. You know, they have birthdays. I send
- 48:13Speaker 1: him a little something. Always sending money. I don't send
- 48:16Speaker 1: no no boxer, uh, coffee maker and all that here
- 48:20Speaker 1: gold money. Everybody like money. Okay, you got a nephew,
- 48:24Speaker 1: I gotta I gotta got Let me run one for you.
- 48:26Speaker 1: Nappy hair hid is nappy? Hello? Hello, I'm trying to
- 48:32Speaker 1: get Frances. Hey, friends, how you doing. My name is
- 48:35Speaker 1: Darryl Daryl. Kids they go to our together. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 48:40Speaker 1: your daughters Kalin right, Yes, okay, my son is a
- 48:43Speaker 1: DJ Daryl Jr. Yeah. I think I really met you
- 48:46Speaker 1: at the beginning of the school. Yeah you remember me
- 48:49Speaker 1: to me? Daryl? Oh I met a lot of people,
- 48:52Speaker 1: but I'm sorry I can't place you right now. Oh great,
- 48:55Speaker 1: no problem. Hey listen, um, I was getting your call.
- 48:58Speaker 1: You know, there's only a handful of black kids at
- 49:01Speaker 1: the school, you know, being a private school and all.
- 49:04Speaker 1: And uh, we the black parents, we all got together
- 49:07Speaker 1: and had a meeting a couple of nights ago. Okay,
- 49:10Speaker 1: you said all the black parents. Okay, I wasn't there.
- 49:12Speaker 1: What wasn't our call? Uh, well, we actually had a
- 49:16Speaker 1: meeting about your daughter, Kalin. Well what about Kalin? Is
- 49:19Speaker 1: she is there a problem at school and she's crazy
- 49:22Speaker 1: or something. I don't even know about. What's what's going
- 49:24Speaker 1: on with? Well, actually, we're you know, we feel privileged
- 49:27Speaker 1: to be you know, you know, like I said, it's
- 49:29Speaker 1: only a handful of blacks, and we try to carry
- 49:31Speaker 1: ourselves in a dignified way. Our presents, our attitude, the
- 49:35Speaker 1: way we handle ourselves. And uh, you know, Kaylin is
- 49:38Speaker 1: doing very good in school, but want I understand, and
- 49:41Speaker 1: very nice with all the rest of the kids. She's
- 49:42Speaker 1: getting along. That's not the problem. What we're what we're
- 49:45Speaker 1: trying to get is, uh the groomy of Kalin. You know,
- 49:50Speaker 1: Kalin has these braids and what we were trying to
- 49:53Speaker 1: do is give you know, we had a meeting about it.
- 49:56Speaker 1: We want to have hold on, hold on hold of
- 49:58Speaker 1: did you just say her rooming? Something wrong with her groom? Well,
- 50:02Speaker 1: it's not necessarily her clothing, of course, you know the
- 50:04Speaker 1: kids were the uniforms, but the braids. You know, we
- 50:07Speaker 1: we want to represent ourselves that with a lot of dignity,
- 50:11Speaker 1: the way we carry ourselves. We want to be um,
- 50:14Speaker 1: you know, pretty much nice and clean, spitting pology. We
- 50:17Speaker 1: would really prefer for her hair was straight and opposed
- 50:20Speaker 1: to being braided up, you know. You know that kind
- 50:23Speaker 1: of gives off a ghetto type of look to it,
- 50:26Speaker 1: and that's what we're trying to avoid. Are you crazy?
- 50:29Speaker 1: It's something wrong with you. You know, first of all,
- 50:32Speaker 1: how the hell you get my If you couldn't call
- 50:35Speaker 1: me for me, why are you calling me now? Like
- 50:37Speaker 1: I said, man, the meeting was to get the general
- 50:39Speaker 1: consensus on where all the parents feeling the same way
- 50:41Speaker 1: about your daughter and her braids. You know, we're just
- 50:44Speaker 1: trying to keep everything classic. When it comes to the
- 50:47Speaker 1: blacks that attended school, it's only ten of us, you know,
- 50:49Speaker 1: ten children attending I'll tell you what you can attend
- 50:53Speaker 1: you could, what you can attend to is this hanging
- 50:56Speaker 1: up in your glace. You tell the parents, all of
- 50:59Speaker 1: them for me, y'all can go straight and hit rock
- 51:02Speaker 1: bottom out of hell. Talk about my child and her braids.
- 51:05Speaker 1: Her braves are ethnic, they are nice, she's well the grooms,
- 51:08Speaker 1: and I don't know how in the hell you got
- 51:10Speaker 1: my telephone number, but tell all the pants from me
- 51:13Speaker 1: to kiss the crack of my you know what. Listen,
- 51:16Speaker 1: First of all, I don't like the way that you're
- 51:17Speaker 1: talking to me. Okay, I carry myself with class, with dignity.
- 51:21Speaker 1: I'm spitting polished man. You know her hairstyle, and let
- 51:31Speaker 1: me say something real. Getto to your Okay, you and
- 51:36Speaker 1: all her parents can hit rock from out of hell.
- 51:38Speaker 1: Don't call me no more with no like this. This
- 51:41Speaker 1: is ignorant. I'm far beyond this. My child is well groomed.
- 51:45Speaker 1: She is going to go to SCO. As a matter
- 51:47Speaker 1: of fact, as much money that costs to go there too.
- 51:50Speaker 1: Y'all should have been meeting on how we can get
- 51:51Speaker 1: together and pay the tuitions. How about fact? Are you
- 51:55Speaker 1: trying to sit here and tell me that you've got
- 51:56Speaker 1: a problem taking her braids down and wearing her hair
- 51:58Speaker 1: straight so she can look a lot more classy than
- 52:01Speaker 1: what she looks right now. At your pathetic look because
- 52:03Speaker 1: she's having right now. You know what I don't. What's
- 52:06Speaker 1: your hair looked like? Take a picture of your self
- 52:08Speaker 1: and send it to me texted to me since you
- 52:10Speaker 1: get your folks phoned numbers, and give it to you.
- 52:12Speaker 1: Take a picture of your step and texted to me.
- 52:14Speaker 1: I bet you you look like who would have thought it?
- 52:16Speaker 1: My daughter's raids are gonna stay up for the rest
- 52:19Speaker 1: of the years. As a matter of fact, we ain't
- 52:21Speaker 1: gonna rebraid it. It's gonna stay that way. So it's
- 52:23Speaker 1: gonna be mad at and represent that's what we're gonna do.
- 52:26Speaker 1: Frances listening, I don't I don't want to argue. I
- 52:29Speaker 1: just wanted to call and see if we could actually,
- 52:31Speaker 1: you know, come to a medium on this. Do you
- 52:33Speaker 1: think that there's a possibility that I mean, when I'm
- 52:37Speaker 1: I'm picking up DJ tomorrow after school? Would it what
- 52:40Speaker 1: would it be all right if I picked up little
- 52:43Speaker 1: Kayla and brought her home and let my wife do
- 52:45Speaker 1: our hair. Please? I wish that he would pick my
- 52:51Speaker 1: start up and see what the hell I do. I'm
- 52:53Speaker 1: gonna call my husband's him to come off your house
- 52:55Speaker 1: and whoop your after he braids, yo, I wish you
- 52:59Speaker 1: whoop of my so I call the police on. As
- 53:02Speaker 1: a matter of fact, you're gonna have to call the
- 53:04Speaker 1: police on me and my husband Steward and see what happens. Maam.
- 53:07Speaker 1: I'm just trying to get some class here. That's all
- 53:10Speaker 1: we're wanting. We're not wanting to fight with you. It's
- 53:12Speaker 1: just the blacks here. We think that we want a
- 53:15Speaker 1: little bit more classy look of the way we are. Groom.
- 53:18Speaker 1: That's the only thing we're looking for. The only person
- 53:20Speaker 1: who's gonna be taking the classes when we get to
- 53:22Speaker 1: what you're gonna be kicking the class. How about back? Yeah,
- 53:26Speaker 1: I can't stand up like you. Y'all get five dollars
- 53:31Speaker 1: and one penny in your box and think you better
- 53:34Speaker 1: than everybody as you to get where you came from.
- 53:36Speaker 1: As a matter of fact, what's your guess? What's your name?
- 53:39Speaker 1: Because I'm calling the princess on your uh day, give
- 53:42Speaker 1: me your name and Mr Hoole, what's your name? Uh?
- 53:47Speaker 1: That's that's that's that's that's not that's not really what
- 53:49Speaker 1: my name is. But that's what I told me when
- 53:51Speaker 1: you first called me. What is your real name? My
- 53:54Speaker 1: name is my name. My real name is Tommy Thomas. No, no,
- 53:58Speaker 1: my last name either. What what the hell is your name?
- 54:01Speaker 1: Do you know? My name is Tommy nephew Tommy from
- 54:04Speaker 1: the Steve Harby Morning Show. Your husband Keith got me
- 54:08Speaker 1: to plank paron call you boy, Oh my god, you
- 54:21Speaker 1: got me ready to tick the pts, cool and everything.
- 54:27Speaker 1: I'll tell you what. Keep eat out for the rest
- 54:30Speaker 1: of the week. To mean, he said. Man, he said,
- 54:37Speaker 1: it don't take about two and a half minutes for
- 54:40Speaker 1: my wife to go off. He said, it don't take
- 54:42Speaker 1: for two and a half, he said, I promise you.
- 54:48Speaker 1: All right, alight, calm down. What what what? I got
- 54:53Speaker 1: one more thing to ask you. What is the baddest
- 54:55Speaker 1: and I mean the baddest radio show in the land.
- 55:00Speaker 1: You know it's a Steve Harvid Morning Show. Okay, Tommy,
- 55:06Speaker 1: you know we don't play when it comes to our hairstyles.
- 55:08Speaker 1: Stop playing too much. Just go all all the beautiful
- 55:11Speaker 1: susters out there. I'm just playing up next. You're listening
- 55:17Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show, all right, it's time
- 55:20Speaker 1: for today's Strawberry Letters. Shirley is out today, so Steve,
- 55:25Speaker 1: you will read the letter and I'll respond and we'll
- 55:27Speaker 1: get this thing going. All right, Here we go. Are
- 55:29Speaker 1: the subject today, it's with holding sex as punishment. Oh Lord,
- 55:38Speaker 1: oh Lord, let us begin. Dear Stephen, Shirley, I need
- 55:43Speaker 1: your advice concerning an issue that is going on in
- 55:48Speaker 1: my manage. I since silly and wholeheartedly loved my wife
- 55:54Speaker 1: and have never even considered having an extramaritola family. But
- 56:01Speaker 1: after the smallest misunderstanding with my wife, she deprives me
- 56:07Speaker 1: of sex for three months. Even if I apologize over
- 56:12Speaker 1: and over, she's not willing to ease up on my punishment.
- 56:17Speaker 1: It might interest you to know that I'm not always
- 56:20Speaker 1: at fault in the arguments, but I'm always the one
- 56:23Speaker 1: trying to make up with her because I hate the
- 56:25Speaker 1: way she punishes the mold she punishes me and makes
- 56:30Speaker 1: me go that long without sex, the bigger the strain
- 56:33Speaker 1: it puts on our marriage. Always hope that we can
- 56:38Speaker 1: restore the peace and eliminate any grudges, but she remains
- 56:42Speaker 1: moody and angry for weeks when we are in good
- 56:47Speaker 1: terms and everything is going fine. She still controls if
- 56:51Speaker 1: and when we have sex. If she doesn't want to
- 56:55Speaker 1: do it, she will use the excuse that she's too tired.
- 56:59Speaker 1: What can I What can I do to get her
- 57:02Speaker 1: to see that this is not the way to deal
- 57:03Speaker 1: with disagreement. I don't want to meet my wife and
- 57:07Speaker 1: I'm not a cheatera So how can I make this work?
- 57:12Speaker 1: Please him? Lord? Lord, Lord, that's not in a letter.
- 57:19Speaker 1: That's because he's stressed. Yeah, he's stressed. Well, here's my
- 57:27Speaker 1: The question is what did you do and what do
- 57:30Speaker 1: you keep doing to make her mad? But you know
- 57:35Speaker 1: you left that information out of the letter, so we
- 57:37Speaker 1: just got to go on what you put in the letter.
- 57:40Speaker 1: So I was thinking about it. My suggestion to you
- 57:43Speaker 1: is maybe you can make a list and just talk
- 57:46Speaker 1: to your wife and find out all the things that
- 57:49Speaker 1: is what's bothering her. Maybe you can go to her
- 57:52Speaker 1: and say, Babe, what's bothering you is that the stuff
- 57:55Speaker 1: that I do, is that the stuff that you're dealing
- 57:57Speaker 1: with on the job, is that the kids, it's that
- 58:00Speaker 1: is at housework. Then maybe then maybe there's some things
- 58:03Speaker 1: on this list that you can do to help her. Relax,
- 58:07Speaker 1: like maybe you can cook one night, or maybe you
- 58:09Speaker 1: can pick up the kids from school or daycare or
- 58:12Speaker 1: something like that. But this list, maybe I'll help you
- 58:15Speaker 1: avoid the problems because the question is what are you
- 58:19Speaker 1: doing that is so bad that she's like, don't touch
- 58:23Speaker 1: me for three months? Like what's going on there? So
- 58:26Speaker 1: maybe you can check this list daily because you're going
- 58:29Speaker 1: to have to change your ways And I know it's
- 58:32Speaker 1: not fair, that's not fair. She's the one with the issues,
- 58:35Speaker 1: but that's who you married. So you don't want to cheat,
- 58:38Speaker 1: you don't want to end your marriage, so you gotta compromise,
- 58:41Speaker 1: you know what they say, happy wife, happy life, or
- 58:44Speaker 1: you gotta get counseling or get you know, a third
- 58:47Speaker 1: person party to come in to talk to you guys
- 58:49Speaker 1: about your situation. Or it could be she just doesn't
- 58:52Speaker 1: like you anymore. That could she's just not feeling you
- 58:55Speaker 1: like that anymore. That could be it. But Steve that
- 58:58Speaker 1: oh thank you, thank you, thank you. Yeah that's real good,
- 59:02Speaker 1: But that hit it problem. The problem is the subject
- 59:11Speaker 1: with holding sex as a punishment now calls right, what
- 59:17Speaker 1: do you keep doing to make this woman is mad?
- 59:20Speaker 1: But let me ask you another question though, y'all, what
- 59:22Speaker 1: could he be doing to make her this damn man?
- 59:25Speaker 1: The man ain't cheating the man come home. He ain't
- 59:29Speaker 1: misusing her, abusing her. He's not an abusive man. What
- 59:36Speaker 1: what cost you three months or sex with? Somebody would
- 59:43Speaker 1: tell me we would because right after you tell me that,
- 59:51Speaker 1: guess what. I'm not gonna say this to you, but
- 59:54Speaker 1: the thought that I'm gonna be having is you not
- 59:57Speaker 1: fitting to have sex for? Yeah, that's it. She let
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: me say something, and he punished miss. You keep putting
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: this man on. He gonna keep going on the damn punishments. Man,
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: he is issuing a water. He's letting you know. He
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: can't keep dealing with this because at three months, he
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: says in the letter, it puts a strain on the marriage.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: Now let's talk about this punishment and fault. Carlin was right,
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: you gotta be doing something wrong. But blah blah blah
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: blah blah, whatever he's doing wrong, let me ask you this.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: The man said in the level, even if I polock
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: Jiz over and over, she's not willing to end up
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: ease up on the punishment, the punishment for whatever he do.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: You ain't take the garbage out three months, no six?
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: He is up on time three months no six? Damn that.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: Now I'm not fitting to make a list to make
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: you as happy, so I can get off the three
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: months and then when apologizes, she don't use upon the punishment.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: And it might interest you to know that I'm not
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: always at fault in the argument. So you can't argue
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: with this health without costing your ass three months on shutdown. Now,
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: let me ask you this. Let me just say this
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: to y'all. If they get into arguments a year, two
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: damn arguments, this man is out of six months or
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: six to do this. There'm I'm really proud and grateful
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: that this man then wrote a letter. But ladies, are
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: you kidding me? That's not the woman can't be a
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: woman sitting they're going to the man ain't cheating on
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: the whole on that. Y'all got to have a better
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: resolution in your marriage of how to resolve conflict and resolution.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: It cannot be three months punishment for sex. First of all,
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: let me help you understand your sex. M What ain't
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: all that good? That's where it's been to cost me
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: three months of my damn life twice a year half
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: a year of no sex. Your sex ain't that good?
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: I have to I'm gonna have to tell you. I'm
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: gonna chattish, which it might be good and the best
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: I've ever had. I may love it like I love
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: a son, come up in the moment, but once you
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: once you shut me off for six months. Yeah, I'm
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: trying to figure out how I can't go find out
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: if maybe somebody somewhere got some sex that's equivalent to it,
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: ain't just would be better than another take some bad
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: sex before I take no seen. Hello with the rest
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: of this letter, after Steve. You're listening to Steve Harvey
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: Morning Show. Okay, Steve, come on part two of this letter.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: Shirley is out today. What's the subject, Steve? The subject
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: is with holding sex as punishment? As punishment quickly, So
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: this lady, every this man who wrote this letter in
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: because he's concerned every time him and his wife have
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: an argument or he get blamed for some punishment, is
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: no sex for three months? Even if he apologizes, she
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: does not lessen the sentence. It remains at three months.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: And it would introduces all interest us all to know
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: that when they are he's not always at so the
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: man going to apologize, just try to get back in
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: good graces. He deprives, she deprives me of sex for
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: three months. I bought up the numbers game because I'm
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: a numbers guy. Yeah, if you get into arguments a year,
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: you down six months, finished shut, putting my life under
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: durest for six damn months. Because we don't know how
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: to resolve conflict. We have our resolution is three months
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: punishment for whatever he do. He don't take our tray,
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: damn it. Three months you was late picking me up
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: down that down, going it three months when this don't
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: make no damn six It's a horrible way to do
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: a man. But now let me tell you something. You
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: got a good man because he wrote the letter. Ain't
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: no man fit to do this here with you? Now
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: the man says he's never cheated or never even considered
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: having an extra marital affair, but the smallest see what
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: right after this? See, I want you to understand something
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: about the word but that my daddy and mama taught me.
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: When you say but, it negates everything you said prior
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: to that. So now let's just go over there. Just
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: sense it again. I love my wife and have never
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: even considered having an extra marital affair. Good, But after
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: the smallest misunderstanding with my wife, she deprives me of
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: sex for three months. See button wiped out the considering
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: that never considering an extra marital affair, because if this continues,
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: he gonna have to be gonna to go out. M So, okay,
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: I'm gonna punishment for three months. For three months, I'm
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: going to go see somebody because I will tell you
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: right now if you come up to me for whatever
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: the reason you say, look, let's into me. Listen to me.
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: I am sick of you. For the next three months,
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: We're not having sex. As soon as you make that
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: statement to me, immediately go into well let's see now. No, no, okay, okay,
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: cal I want you to repeatedly say for three months,
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: we're not having sex, and then wait on my response,
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: go so, for three months we're not having sex? You
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: got it well already then already? Then what, We're not
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: having sex for three months? You understand what I'm saying. Oh,
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: I heard what you say. Listen to the words that
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: are coming out of my mouth. We're me and you
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: are not having sex for three months. Deal with it, well,
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: I guess we won't then, right, that's what I'm saying.
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: We won't have sex for three months. Do you understand,
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: understand perfectly that we you and I were not months?
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: Got it? Why do you keep repeating that, Okay, good,
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: you got it. We're not having sex for three months.
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: Get your mind right wrapped rounded. We are not having
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: sex for ninety days. We're not you and I. Okay, good?
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: So look at you, Look at you got your phone.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: Look at the calendar. It's April, May June. See you
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: in July, three months when I I'm going to play
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: golf Friday all weekend time. I'm gonna play golf Friday,
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: man Essence maybe around Essence Fest. We'll be back. But
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: if you make me mad again, three months, we're not
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: having sex. So July, baby, that's a long time for
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: us not to be hanless. Why stop making me mad?
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: I told you I was sorry. I told you I
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: was sorry, But you keep doing the same stuff over
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: and over, so you're not really sorry. So three months
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: it's just in this punishment you keep putting me on
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: it more for you. I can show you better than
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: I can tell you. Three months. Go ahead, Yeah you
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: got it? Yeah you notice how I keep coming in
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: here nothing to you about it? Yeah? You know I
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: ain't bought it up no more because you understand what
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: I'm saying. Show that we you and I are not
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: having sex for days. Got it good? I'm glad we
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: got clarity on that. I've been clear. I've been clear.
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: What are you trying to say something now? I try
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: to say nothing? Okay. Yeah, you're kind of getting a
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: little sarcastic with it. This ain't sarcastic. It's just okay
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: with it. Okay. See, I gotta deal with it. I
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: know it's a three month punishment for us, so I
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: don't bring it up to us never no more. I
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: just wait on the three months? How you been? How
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: your dad job? I didn't fell out of character? Man?
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: Right there, I'm trying to you. You can't keep doing
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: it man like that. To deal this with you. It's
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: not for you. You're crazy, Joe crazy on two days perfect.
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: This man that came in the house asked, how yoday go?
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: I'm fun? Okay? That was black car. Sound I have fun?
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: You can email or instagram us your thoughts on today.
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: Quiet he talk. We gotta go hit us up at
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: lives by Carla, you can comment on today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Morning Show. Okay, guys, I
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: got reality update coming up. At the top of the hour.
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: We're gonna talk about Real Housewives of Atlanta the season finale,
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: and Braxton Family. Yeah, the Braxton's is getting heated, Braxton
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: Family value. We'll discuss that at the top of the hour.
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: But right now, you guys, we talked about this yesterday. Now,
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: surely she's off today, but she was here yesterday and
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: we kind of had this discussion. Remember we were kind
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: of off the air and I was asking Steve some
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: parenting advice. Do you remember that. Yeah, let's let everybody
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: here that conversation here. It is all right, Steve. Before
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: we left, Carla wanted to ask you some parenting advice.
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: You said, you've been a parent for thirty six years.
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: What you got, Carla? Okay, so listen to this, Steve.
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: My friends, a lot of us a parents. You know,
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: we hang out, we do things together with our children.
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: So the latest discussion, you know, we have young kids,
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: So the latest discussion is at what age should you
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: teach your child how to curse or say bad words? Well,
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: you shouldn't teach them. There's no age when you should
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: teach their bad words because bad words are not necessary.
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: It all depends on circumstance and environment. Cussing is an environmental,
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: circumstantial thing that you have to be able to participate in.
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: And every circumstance and all environments do not require custom
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: you need to be so it's not a good time
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: for you. The situations will bring out the child when
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: it's necessary. So it's not for you to decide I'm
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: gonna teach my child because I never taught any of
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: my kids to cause my father never taught me because
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: I just picked it up. Okay that you overheard it.
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: And the decision to use cussing a little bit more
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: regularly was somewhere around nine, Yes, nine is when I
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: started implementing. By twelve, I was you know, I wasn't
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: It wasn't really farm good. I was just throwing it
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: out there. But I had a lot more situations, and
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: all I got the more useful and more timely and
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: more situations presented themselves. So that's how I did it.
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: So I don't say that there's an age that you
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: give a child. And here's why I'm asking this because
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: I know a lot of people look uncomfortable with this question.
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: But it's a different time for these kids and going
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: into middle school. It's just been tough with a group
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: of people that we hang with with their kids. So
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: they were saying they wanted to teach their children how
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: to say blank, you be get out of my face
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: in a situation of bullying. Yeah, and so to teach
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: them that, I don't. I don't think it's necessary. See
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: you are, here's the problem, caller, your little crew that
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: y'all go to school with. Y'all suburban parents' parents, y'all
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: from the hood, but y'all have become suburbanized, and you
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: all are suburban parents. So now you've you've trying to
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: remain bushy and you you're trying to live up to
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: your status in life now. But you're calling and you're
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: trying to know where to implement hood is um into
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: your kids. And your kids don't really need that, and
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: so you've got to teach them other ways. I don't
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: recommend teach seriously, do not recommend teaching custom to kids,
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: because I mean, it's gonna backfound. Yeah, you know, I mean,
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: you don't teach them negative behave. Now. Did I teach
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: my children take care of themselves? Yeah? But I found
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: out I was doing it for no reason. Mhmm, can
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: somebody hit you? Everybody go down there. My kids ain't
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: down the street fighting and then come home and you
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: go get all your brothers and go back down there.
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: What kids? On the matter of fact, the house too
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: damn far away. See. I wanted to tell my sons that,
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: but they went to school where they ain't fight. They
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: ain't fighting you. They talk about your own Instagram we had.
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: My daddy took me to get mad with my kid
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: said that was your training? Was that my daddy took
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: me over there because we were. They weren't fighting in
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: my neighborhood, but over there, my cousin. Every every said
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: by twealth, they get my butt up. It's like you said,
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: how we grew up and how we're parenting and how
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: our children are growing up. It's it's two different worlds,
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: and it's and it's some parenting that just doesn't apply today,
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: and then a lot of it does. But you all
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: have removed it because of your new way. But your
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: kids are suburban kids. So when the bulleting goes down
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: at school, How do you teach them how to cuse?
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: You ain't gotta teach them how to cuse. You gotta
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: get the bullet out your face. You don't get the
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: bullet out your face by cussing. There's a physical activity
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: that can get the bullet out. Now, if you don't
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: want to teach the physical activity, then you got to
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: go with something else. But bullets don't respond to get
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: your blankety blank out my blankety blank. They don't cause
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: they're bullies. Hell, they do what they want. Told you,
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: I've been to put my blankety blank in your blankety blank.
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: Now still, what's your comeback? See, it's hard to outcuss
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: a bullet. So you gotta teach your children to other things.
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: But I don't recommend teaching your children how to talk
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: bad to people because that doesn't work because it's just
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: talk and eventually it once you talk bad, you had
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: to bag some of it up. You did. Your parents
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: had put motivation behind you, behind the bully, Like if
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: you don't wolve his that was the motivation I had.
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: Let me again. Yeah, yeah, what you're crying for? Yeah,
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: come home crying one. I'm gonna get you something to
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: cry about. There I'm gonna take you down there. My
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: Brotherston took me back down the street to fight Manny.
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: Me and Manny got in four fights in one day.
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: Me and Manny was through with it. Man he hit
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: in the picture right up there to dude with the
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: hat on with the gold jacket standing there where they
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: named in my street my boy man. We thought full
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: time one Me and Manny was through. After the first fight,
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: our brothers and sisters got involved. Rose Calhoun bought Manny
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: back up to my house to beat me up. Big rolls.
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: I wouldn't man the man with me the first time.
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: I'm through. You win many we freeze. But since she
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: brought him up to my house and my daddy was
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: on the porch watching, I got ten minutes coming up.
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: At the top of the hour, I got Reality update,
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: Real Housewives of Atlanta Season finale, and we'll talk about
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: the Braxton's at the top of the hour. You're listening
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Getting ready to get ready,
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: Get ready to get ready. It's that time. She is here.
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: Call of Pharaoh with Reality. All right, thank you, nephew,
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: Junior Tommy Season finale, Real Housewives of Atlanta on Sunday night.
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: Eva Marcel. She threw a Halloween birthday party and Danini
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: came dressed as what exterminator and her husband, well you
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: remember the whole road roach gate and her husband Greg,
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: he wore a roach mascot costume, so to speak. Yes,
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: he didn't really need the costume. Grig was a roach.
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: That was pretty fun of him. That was really cute,
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: coming in like a be a roach man. Yeah, he
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: came in as a road It was really funny just
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: to clap back at Kim and all that drama with
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: the roach gate having broaches at their house. Arre dressed
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: as your girl Junior Cleopatra, and so was the hostess
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: Eva Cynthia. She was fifty cent Her costume is really cute. Marlow,
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: she was Cynthia, Cynthia Bailey Cynthia. It was real cute
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: how she did. And she had a little hip hop gearon,
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: had to the bag. She had a tomboy look. She
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: drew a beard on. It was real cute how she
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: did it, had a had her jewelry on the necklaces
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: and Marlow, she was really cute. She was Halle Berry's
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: character from the movie Baps. Do you guys remember that
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. Porsche and Candy they
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: were kind of like the scary brides. Anyway, it was
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: the season finale. They were all at the party and
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: the end result was Ninie tried to convince Porsche to
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: apologize again to Candy for all the drama that happened
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: last season. Porsche was like, I'm not doing it. I
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: have apologized enough. I'm not apologizing anymore. And um, I
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: don't know. I kind of felt earlier in the season
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: maybe Porsche and Candy should talk one on one and
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: Porsche needs to really just talk from the heart about
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: how she felt what happened, her side of the story,
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: and then Candy can talk to it. Maybe they'll squatch
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: you with at all the other ladies around. I don't know.
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: That's just a suggestion, but anyway, the show ended updates
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: on the Women here it goes. Ninie Leaks is back
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: on the road. She's doing her one woman comedy show.
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: After you know she hit a little speed bumped with
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: her controversial uber joke. You remember that, But she's back
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: on the road all right, Porsa. She finished her acting
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: role and the hit play two can play at that game.
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: Candy Barriss is home. She was touring with Escape. Yeah,
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: she was doing that thing and Your Your Girls Candy
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: recently Roscoe. Okay at Junior Your Girls Sharade. She finished
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: her man cave, her basement in her house. But her
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: man Tyrone, who's in prison. He is it's not coming
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: home for what it looked like. Yeah, he's not coming
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: home to how big is the TV? It's a pool table,
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: not getting two? Okay, can you cover everything up to
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: get Yeah, she thought he was getting out, so nervous
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: now yeah, Michal Yeah, he's a designer from the Steve
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: Harvey Show. We love Michale. Well, shout out to Michael.
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: They featured the basement and the design of the man
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: cave and People magazine. So go ahead, Michaeale, you're doing
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: your thing. I'm talking about. It's gonna be dusty down
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: there when he get out when two. All that stuff
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: gonna be so outdated. Yeah, no, it's really nice though.
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: It's really nice. You know, was technology gonna be out
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: in two TVs? They ain't gonna be all walls no more.
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: They would be in the app, might not have cell
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: phone doing it. They might be just a chip in
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: your side of your Nick by Mr story Couch. We
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: got down here and so Nick, well there you go.
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: And Kenya more she teased the she may be expanding
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: her family, so we don't know. It's at the party. Yeah,
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: she was a Victoria's Secret Model angel, very beautiful. So
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: there you go. That's the season finale. You know, the
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: reunion show is gonna be off the chain this Sunday night,
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: Real Housewives of Atlanta, so switching gears. You know, the
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: ratings are really really good for the season. Premier is
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: the sixth season of The Braxton Family Values. But Ms
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: Tamar Braxton is not happy about the show. Tamar is
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: upset about her a strange husband's portrayal on Braxton Family Value.
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: Tamar and vnsor in the process of divorcing. You guys
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: know that after she accused him of being a serial
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: cheater and committing multiple acts of domestic violence against her.
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: But now here's the thing. Some of Tamar's sisters they
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: don't care. They don't care about how Tamar's feeling about
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: Vincent and what they're saying. They're going to keep trashing him.
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: They're going to keep it real real. They said, whether
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: the cameras are rolling or not. And this is according
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: to TMZ. Trina Tawanda and Tracy Braxton told TMZ that
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: Tamar's she she's being kind of hypocritical because when they
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: were going through their divorces and going through their problems,
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: she was guilty of airing out their dirty laundry on
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: the show. And you know all of the stuff from
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: the family members in the past. So hey, they said
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: they're not going to change and this is real, this
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: is not scripted, and this is unfortunately their family and
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: what they're going to So Braston Family Values is pretty good.
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: Tony has been doing her things. She was our guests
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: not too long ago with her new album Sex and Cigarettes.
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: We Love Tony Braxton. So Tony was on the show
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: and she, you know, she told us this season was
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: really good Braston Family Values. So that is reality. Yes,
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: that is reality. Update. Any questions, you guys, will he
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: getting out win? You're back on Real Housewives. Tyrone is
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: getting out two. You're gonna be cut when he come
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: out upper body purpose. I just get fun out. Ain't
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: going to prison. I'd rather I'd rather be out here
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: to be fat and free. I'm not going to go Yeah,
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: and programming note, don't forget to watch Steve Harvey's showtime
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: at the Apollo tonight off. That's reality Update. We will
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: return at twenty after the hour. You're listening to Steve
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, it's time for something funny. Now,
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: you said she was gonna tell us about the talk show.
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: You had some guests from the country. Now what happened?
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: So this lady stood up in hate Steve to ask
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: me this question. Her and her mama had been invited
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: out to l A. They was from North Carolina, but
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: they had moved to phill It. He had moved out
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: the name with agent. He had moved out here to
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: l A over a year ago. Who now, who was
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: a J. A J Is one of her son. But
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: he loved him, but he didn't change. You know that
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: food different. So you're taking him to LA parties. He's
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: taking the l A party. Now he embarrassed because he
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: didn't have to go to the grandmama to talk about
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: his mama because she had the parties too loud, cussie
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: and drinking. Now the later said, well, what we supposed
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: to do at the party? Her? No, mama the only
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: one out the electric slide say people just look at that.
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: Look at they're trying to get the party started. Come
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: out a j he in baths, you know, said he
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: wiped his mouth every time he take a drink. Now,
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: I don't know what's going on with him. So we
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: got to talking. So finally we got on talking about food,
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: and I asked him that they went to Roscoe's Chicken
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: and wap. We went telling yesterday. Okay, that's the best
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: food we had, Steve. I said, okay, what you get
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: the fried chicken, some grits, and some cheese egg. I said,
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: you weren't ready for the waffle. I don't see how
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: that go. That's how I said. Okay, that's real. I
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: don't see how that go. I said, no, I really
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: do go together. We never did, so I said, well,
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: one thing got to I said, have you ever been
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: to Harold and Bells, because they're back over Harold Bell's
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: the creole restaurant out here. That the one several Hoodie
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: Awards for best restaurant food out here. Boy off the shape.
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: So I said, I'll tell you what. I'm gonna get
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: a cost service. Take y'all the Haroling Bell weight on
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: y'all and carry y'all back to your son's play. Jeez,
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: we never been in no Mercedes. My job said, get
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: them a cart. Server done of the cliff. Came back
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: and say, Boss, we can't get Mercedes over here for
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: another hour and a half. But where I can get
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: an suv? Right now, sitting on cliff, they old man,
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: I don't want them climbing up and down out of truck. Right.
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: So I said, I tell y'all one, this is what
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: I'm gonna do. I'm gonna have my drive take y'all
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: to hell and bell in my car? What what? What?
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: So lady said, the old ladyship will live. I'm showing
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: whatever you got, it's a nice car. So black dude,
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: what you gotta stay? I have a Bentley mos Saint
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: out there. So I said, I'm gonna put y'all in
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: the Bentley mall saying black dude saying, the hell is
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: that man? So when it asks you're going to see
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: Ms Meil for them getting in my car. I'm loving
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: North Carolina. Yes, Cliff driving down that Now, I got
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: a bar in the back of my car, right, I
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: called Clill, Cliff, yawn there yet, Boss, they're touching on
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: all the buttons. He said, he left it bob down
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: so many times. He said, but boss, they didn't open
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: up your MacCallum. I say, it's cool, Cliff Bo. They
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: didn't drink half of it. The didn't drink a half
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: ball of account. He's a man. Quarter five minutes to
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: get out the man Melvin hil in my car going
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: to a restaurant. I got it on the Okay, coming
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: up next, fifty cents saw Acrimony, Tyler Perry's movie, and
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: he's scared. We'll talk about it. You're listening to the
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, Steve, Tyler Perry's new movie
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: Acrimony maybe too relatable to your boy, fifty cent. Now
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: you know this movie surrounds to j p Henson, who
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: plays a scorned wife is seeking revenge. Well, fifty said
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: the movie had him scared as a blank. He was
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: on the Graham and he said that, man, I went
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: to see Tyler Perry's movie shaking my head and that
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: movie was horror. I thought my baby mama was gonna
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: come out the closet. Boy through what you've been through.
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: So yeah, fifty said, Tyler did his thing. He was
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: really scared of acrimony and Steve, you talked about this
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: movie one time. I'm going to damn movie. What I
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: gotta go for it. A matter of fact, I'm suing Tyler.
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: Put that on TMZ. Steve Harvey sues Long Time Free
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: and Tyler for doing his damn life without his acremony.
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: That to TMZ A tweet that out in the sue Tyler. Yeah,
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: just do that. Just see what happens. Belit. I gotta
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: go down. Let's see what they're talking about. You're gonna
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: sue Tyler your life story when it's like this movie
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: Acrimony have has you got scared? Like fatal attraction? Remember
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: back in the day all the fellows were scared about
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: failor attraction. But everybody saying it ends different like you ain't.
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: You can't predicting spoiler alert, We're not gonna tell you
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: all about it. I don't know. I ain't seen you.
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: I'm going to see it, Steve, you gotta go see
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: this movie though it's about you. He ain't got to
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: go see it. I got all I gotta do it clothed.
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: I relieve Hell, I'm gonna be at that movie for
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: I'm telling you left this out. You forgot this part. No,
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: I'm not going to see I ain't saying no names,
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: no nothing, but what I ain't got to do this
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: like me watching Roots again? How is that you? No? No, Roots? Man,
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: only watched one time when I was in college. I
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: cannot watch it again. That's why you didn't watch a
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: second when they did that they redid it. You didn't
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: watch Oh no, no, no, no, yeah, I watched it
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: was of Roots when it came on. I was in
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: college and I've never seen it again, and they play
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: it every year. I can't watch it. I just cannot
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: watch that. It was great what they did, and it
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: painted a very vivid picture. I get nothing from that
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: except anger. I get nothing. I get no motivation from it.
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: From my standpoint watching Roots, I'm just angry at a
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: level that's not healthy for me. Yeah. It's a very
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: painful movie. It's it's it's our history. It's hard to watch.
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: So yeah, bro, let me tell you something, man, Roots.
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: Roots reared up its ugly head where we understood a
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: lot more about racism because it was white students, you know,
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: because we had TV lounges and everybody would gather to
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: watch Roots on campus down in the dorm and whites
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: would come down there and be playing be up on
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: the wall with their shirt off, and another ball over
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: there whipping them with a little piece of like what. Oh, no, man,
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: we were a man. Let me tell you something. We
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: was walking in the TV rooms and we was up
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: in it. No, no, no, So now why he tied
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: up on there? Oh, since you whipped him with this,
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: let me show you what they really had. Now, some
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: black dude and pull off a leather bell with a
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: buckle on it and then went across his back with it.
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: What he thinking? It's his friend? Now he didn't let
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: out a real blood curdling yale. He said, no, now
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: that's horse happening in roots. Wow, it's the end of
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: the show. Make sure you come back forty nine after
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: the hours. Steve Harvey's closing remarks. You're listening to Steve
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: Harvey Show. All right, we're at the end of the show,
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: Mr Harvey. Good Thursday to day. You got closing remarks.
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: I got closing remarks today today. I want to talk
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: to you about something. I was talking with K about
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: it and he sent me something and I thought this
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: would be good because, uh, this is more of a
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: spiritual piece of motivation for you. Because I'm talking to
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: people right now who believe that there is a God.
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: I'm talking to people who believe in God. If you're
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: an atheist and all that, I ain't talking to you nobody,
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: you can just turn off right now because I'm pretty
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: sure you won't get this. But if you're a person
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: who knows God but you ain't really that close to him,
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: or you know him and you believe in him, but
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: you know, I mean, look, just maybe you ain't been
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: down to church in a while, maybe you ain't been
- 1:33:43Speaker 1: around no spiritual people in the wild. This is who
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: I'm talking to. I'm talking to myself today. I'm talking
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: to myself about a subject that I need to remind
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: myself of all the time, and I want to remind
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: you of this too. Listen to me. Don't allow God's
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: promises to fall on deaf ears because he talking to you.
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: See this is a real one, y'all. Don't allow God's
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: promises to fall on deaf ears because he talking to you.
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: See all of God's promises offer each and every one
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: of us. He's talking to us. Don't get fooled and
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: faith out here in life that God doesn't forgot about you,
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: That God don't recognize your voice, that God don't see
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: what you're going through. That God ain't got no feelings
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: for you. That's a trick of the devil. God loves you, man,
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: He created you. God has a space for you in
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: his heart. But you got to call on it. You
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: know how many times he even showed up on your
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: half without you calling. Imagine what would happen if you
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: had a relationship with him, because all of you know that,
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: no matter how bad your life has been, don't you
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: know it could have been worse. I talked to inmates
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: all the time to say, man, I'm just feel grateful
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: that I'm sitting here because I could have been dead.
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: I know people in prisoner who have said to me, man,
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: if I hadn't come to prison, I would be dead.
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: I know people, man, who just barely escaped going to prison.
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: If it wasn't for just something that happened, I would
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: have been locked up today. Don't you know that was him?
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: Who else was it? You think somebody put a call
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: in and saved you? Who put a call in and
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: stopped you from getting in that car? Little Steve Harvey
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: when you were sitting on them steps broke and your
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: boys came by to do this robbery and told you
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: all you had to do with drive. All I had
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: to do was gonna get in the car. They were
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: gonna give me fifteen hunter. That's all I had to do.
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: I wouldn't have to get my coach. My partner's met
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: me on the porch and say, hey man, this ain't
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: what you do. You're gonna be somebody hard. I don't
