- 0:03Speaker 1: Y'all know what time of y'all don't know y'alla have
- 0:10Speaker 1: all suit looking back the back down, giving them more
- 0:15Speaker 1: like the milling buck things in the cubble. Me good it,
- 0:21Speaker 1: Steve listening to the movie together for Studley. I don't
- 0:38Speaker 1: join by join me, be you doing me? Honey. You
- 0:58Speaker 1: gotta turn you, you gotta turn to turn them out.
- 1:42Speaker 1: You got to turn them out to turn turn the
- 1:46Speaker 1: water the water go. Come come on your fad uh huh,
- 2:01Speaker 1: I sure will I good morning everybody. You're listening to
- 2:05Speaker 1: the voice, Come on, dig me now one it on.
- 2:08Speaker 1: It's Steve Harvey man oh Man, got a radio show, yo.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Trying to make it work too. I'm not trying. I'm
- 2:16Speaker 1: I'm getting it. I'm getting it done to the best
- 2:20Speaker 1: of my abilities. Now. Something funny my father taught me.
- 2:25Speaker 1: He says, son, when you've done all you can do,
- 2:29Speaker 1: if you've done your absolute best and you look up
- 2:34Speaker 1: and it didn't get the job done, take a deep
- 2:38Speaker 1: breath and do some more. That used to bug me, man,
- 2:44Speaker 1: when my father used to tell me, that's the son.
- 2:46Speaker 1: When you've done your absolute best and you think you
- 2:49Speaker 1: can't do no more, you've done all you can and
- 2:53Speaker 1: it still don't get the job done. Take yourself a
- 2:57Speaker 1: deep breath and do some more. And you know what
- 3:03Speaker 1: I found that has worked every single time, every single time,
- 3:10Speaker 1: because what my father knew was that what you think
- 3:16Speaker 1: is your breaking point or what you think is your
- 3:19Speaker 1: all at all, he says, son, it's just something about it. Man.
- 3:24Speaker 1: If you just gather yourself, you got a little bit more.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Everybody got some more. And you know, I gotta be
- 3:35Speaker 1: honest with you. It has worked. It has helped me greatly,
- 3:39Speaker 1: and you know it. Everybody does have some more. You know.
- 3:43Speaker 1: I tell that to my sons all the time with
- 3:46Speaker 1: the idea of my best. Well, I manage to something else.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Could you have done anything else? Could you have studied
- 3:51Speaker 1: a little harder, Could you have shown up a little
- 3:54Speaker 1: bit earlier, could you stayed a little bit later? Yeah,
- 4:00Speaker 1: well then okay, that's what you should have done. Then. See,
- 4:03Speaker 1: that's always a way. But if you're going to create excuses,
- 4:09Speaker 1: if you're gonna make them up all the time about
- 4:11Speaker 1: why you don't get it done, I have a very
- 4:14Speaker 1: very sad statement for you right now. You're never gonna
- 4:20Speaker 1: get anything done. You're never gonna get to the top,
- 4:23Speaker 1: not to the top. You can get halfway up. Now,
- 4:27Speaker 1: you can get a third of the way up, you
- 4:28Speaker 1: can get three quarters of the whale up. But if
- 4:31Speaker 1: you don't have that little extra reserve in you, you're
- 4:34Speaker 1: not getting to the top. The top is only reserved
- 4:38Speaker 1: for those that have the wherewithal and the power to desire,
- 4:44Speaker 1: the drive and the gut wrenching effort to get to
- 4:50Speaker 1: the top. The top is reserved only for the top.
- 4:54Speaker 1: It's just the top. The ain't but one top then
- 4:56Speaker 1: the middle done it ain't it? You know? The top,
- 4:59Speaker 1: the top the mountain have where it's a different view
- 5:02Speaker 1: at the top. Things look different from up top. So
- 5:06Speaker 1: if you want to get to the top of whatever
- 5:09Speaker 1: your profession, your field, your career, whatever it is, you
- 5:16Speaker 1: got to do extra. You have to do more. More
- 5:20Speaker 1: is expected of you. More. But here's what's really crazy.
- 5:24Speaker 1: More is required of you. Don't live your life in
- 5:28Speaker 1: the lackadaisical state. Don't wake up every day with the
- 5:33Speaker 1: feeling of, well, you know, whatever happens happens, Nah, man,
- 5:37Speaker 1: have us say so in your life. You. First of all,
- 5:41Speaker 1: let me ask you something. Who has God named the
- 5:45Speaker 1: person that God has given authority over you named the person?
- 5:52Speaker 1: Where is it in scripture? Where anywhere? Who show me
- 5:56Speaker 1: anywhere where it says this person has the right over you,
- 6:01Speaker 1: this person right here, this one right here. You have
- 6:06Speaker 1: to do everything they say and what they say. Only
- 6:10Speaker 1: show me that right there, show me who they're talking about. Certainly,
- 6:16Speaker 1: certainly I have not met that person. Now. My parents
- 6:20Speaker 1: were great to me, and it was their job to
- 6:23Speaker 1: offer me lead, leadership and guidance along along the way.
- 6:27Speaker 1: But as I grew up, man, I had to go
- 6:29Speaker 1: out here and get it on you know, I had
- 6:30Speaker 1: to go out here and get it on my own.
- 6:32Speaker 1: But who is the person? Nobody has domain over you.
- 6:36Speaker 1: God didn't create that person. So what you're sitting here for? Man?
- 6:41Speaker 1: What are you sitting here for? Letting people who do
- 6:44Speaker 1: not know direct your path? A lot of us get
- 6:49Speaker 1: stopped because we worried so much about what people think
- 6:53Speaker 1: about us. We worried too much about what people say
- 6:58Speaker 1: about us. Why are you worried about all these people
- 7:03Speaker 1: with what they got to say about you and all
- 7:05Speaker 1: these people with what they got to think about you,
- 7:08Speaker 1: When here's the news flash, they don't know either. All
- 7:12Speaker 1: these people that you overly concerned about all these people
- 7:17Speaker 1: that you go into these answers for. They need answers too.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Stop what are you doing here? Gather yourself for a minute.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Here is a solution to all of that. You have
- 7:31Speaker 1: one source that will be there for you till the
- 7:35Speaker 1: end of time, and that is your relationship with God.
- 7:40Speaker 1: That is the one thing that's solid and for show.
- 7:43Speaker 1: He's behind the all. He's in your jail cell. He
- 7:47Speaker 1: rides with you in the police car. He's with you
- 7:49Speaker 1: on your job up at school. He's down there in
- 7:52Speaker 1: the board meetings with you. He goes with you when
- 7:55Speaker 1: you travel on planes. He sits with you when you're
- 7:58Speaker 1: in a relationship. He helps you with your parenting skills.
- 8:02Speaker 1: He helps you. He's there to assist you. He shows
- 8:05Speaker 1: if you do the right things, he show you and
- 8:07Speaker 1: guide you to your next job. When you lose your
- 8:10Speaker 1: job and you think it's so rap all, there's some
- 8:12Speaker 1: good behind him. Man. God is always working on your behalf.
- 8:16Speaker 1: To those that believe you, just gotta believe. He won't
- 8:19Speaker 1: ask you for nothing else. Believe in me. That's all
- 8:23Speaker 1: He asks you to do what you're tripping for. Man.
- 8:25Speaker 1: And then when you make the decision to believe in Him,
- 8:29Speaker 1: and it comes out your mouth from time to time somewhere.
- 8:32Speaker 1: What you're worried about, what people say. What you're worried
- 8:35Speaker 1: about what they think? For? Why who are they? They
- 8:37Speaker 1: need God? To you? You're telling them you found something
- 8:41Speaker 1: new and you're gonna give this a shot right here. Now.
- 8:44Speaker 1: They got some yang ying yang and some yakety yact
- 8:46Speaker 1: to say about that when they need God too. That's
- 8:50Speaker 1: what amazes me, man about people sit up in here, man,
- 8:53Speaker 1: be knocking your dream and stuff. Look, if you're an atheist, man,
- 8:56Speaker 1: do your thing, do your thing, But you can't create
- 8:59Speaker 1: no laws. I can't do mine. That don't make no sense. Man,
- 9:03Speaker 1: that makes no sense at all to me. You have
- 9:07Speaker 1: the right to go be whatever you want to be.
- 9:10Speaker 1: You know if you don't, you don't like the fact
- 9:12Speaker 1: that I'm in school. You got my head boiled down
- 9:14Speaker 1: and I'm saying a prayer for I take this test.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Just don't buy your head. Don't you pray? But if
- 9:20Speaker 1: some kids want to get to gout, that that's some
- 9:22Speaker 1: crazy mass. That's what happened in our schools. We took
- 9:24Speaker 1: prayer out of schools. Now, look at our schools. Our schools. Man,
- 9:29Speaker 1: you you you you you? You send your child to
- 9:32Speaker 1: school and and and someone else comes back home. That's
- 9:39Speaker 1: a whole other thing right here. That's not what I
- 9:41Speaker 1: want to talk to you about. But I was just
- 9:43Speaker 1: throwing it out because you know, hey, man, your relationship
- 9:47Speaker 1: with God is essential to your success as a person.
- 9:49Speaker 1: It's essential to your existence. It's essential to where you're
- 9:53Speaker 1: trying to go and what you're trying to be. Because
- 9:55Speaker 1: He made you. Why would you not talk to the
- 9:59Speaker 1: person that made you to find out what he created
- 10:02Speaker 1: you for. Ain't talking about your parents, who made your parents?
- 10:08Speaker 1: This is God, we created in His image. Why would
- 10:10Speaker 1: you not talk to your maker to see why you
- 10:13Speaker 1: got made? That? Don't that don't make sense to you?
- 10:18Speaker 1: If you're sitting and gotten yourself in a situation. You're
- 10:21Speaker 1: sitting in the jail cell somewhere, you locked up, you
- 10:24Speaker 1: doing some time, man, be a good time for you
- 10:27Speaker 1: to reflect. But whatever your situation is, Man, God can
- 10:31Speaker 1: get you through it. He can give you the strength,
- 10:33Speaker 1: the courage to wherewithal the understanding everything you need, the
- 10:38Speaker 1: wisdom to get you through anything you're going through. You
- 10:40Speaker 1: just got a touch base with him. I need God
- 10:45Speaker 1: every single day of my life and what he's done
- 10:50Speaker 1: for me man off the chain. But guess what he'll
- 10:55Speaker 1: do the same thing for you. You're listening, ladies and gentlemen,
- 11:03Speaker 1: we are approaching the time. The time is upon us,

- 24:23Speaker 1: So what what goes on with Freedom Papers Incorporated is
- 24:26Speaker 1: when you sign and get freedom papers from US. What
- 24:29Speaker 1: it does it's, uh, people who are African Americans, our
- 24:32Speaker 1: papers let them know that you're actually a free person
- 24:36Speaker 1: in this country. Oh oh oh I've been free. Ain't
- 24:39Speaker 1: no flavor going on? Well I'm freeing? Well you you
- 24:44Speaker 1: you may be, but you have to actually show paperwork
- 24:47Speaker 1: for that. When when did they started, sir, this is
- 24:51Speaker 1: all over the news. You have to have freedom papers
- 24:54Speaker 1: within the next six months. Every African American person, it's
- 24:58Speaker 1: gonna have to have freedom papers and have them on
- 25:01Speaker 1: on the you know. Uh, it's like keeping a driver's
- 25:04Speaker 1: license or a checkbook or something. You're gonna have to
- 25:07Speaker 1: have your freedom papers on you. That's some that's them,
- 25:10Speaker 1: that's them. I'm free. I'm not about to pay no
- 25:13Speaker 1: money when I'm already free, Okay, but you're gonna be sure.
- 25:16Speaker 1: You're gonna need paperwork to show your freedom and you don't.
- 25:19Speaker 1: Do you have any freedom papers at this point right now? No,
- 25:23Speaker 1: because I don't need freedom I'm free, sir. Do you
- 25:26Speaker 1: understand that you could possibly if you're caught without your
- 25:29Speaker 1: freedom papers, you could be taken into captive and actually
- 25:34Speaker 1: have to work for so many years in order and
- 25:36Speaker 1: then later on you might get your freedom. But right now,
- 25:39Speaker 1: right here, if you buy freedom papers from me, I
- 25:42Speaker 1: can I can fix it where you don't go through that.
- 25:45Speaker 1: You could actually get separated from your family. Sir. I'm
- 25:47Speaker 1: not going to buy where are they gonna send me to?
- 25:49Speaker 1: Where they gonna deport me to? After I ain't never
- 25:51Speaker 1: been there. No, No, you're not going to Africa. You
- 25:53Speaker 1: could be actually here in the United States working on
- 25:56Speaker 1: a particular farm. If you haven't gotten this news, I
- 25:59Speaker 1: do apology, guys, but within the next six months you're
- 26:02Speaker 1: going to need freedom papers to you anyway, sir. Like

- 26:17Speaker 1: I'm not about to pay no money to be free, sir.
- 26:20Speaker 1: You have to have paperwork on you to show that
- 26:23Speaker 1: you are a free citizen of the United States. Hold
- 26:26Speaker 1: how you get my number anyway? Sir. We have a
- 26:29Speaker 1: list of numbers of people that we don't think have
- 26:32Speaker 1: their freedom papers, and your name actually popped up here
- 26:35Speaker 1: in our database. So you men gone pop up on
- 26:38Speaker 1: the okay, sir, I'm trying to give my number, sir.
- 26:41Speaker 1: We have a database here of people who we don't
- 26:45Speaker 1: think have their freedom papers. Your name is actually here.
- 26:48Speaker 1: After talking to you, it seems like you don't have
- 26:50Speaker 1: your freedom papers and we want to make sure you
- 26:52Speaker 1: get them. We're letting you know it's two hundred dollars
- 26:55Speaker 1: per person to get these actual paperies. So you're telling
- 26:58Speaker 1: me you got that base and you just call them
- 27:01Speaker 1: black people all around the punchers. Well, no, sir, what
- 27:04Speaker 1: we're doing is we're calling African Americans and let them,
- 27:06Speaker 1: letting them know that they can actually buy freedom papers
- 27:10Speaker 1: from us, so they don't have to be if they're
- 27:12Speaker 1: if they're if they ever get captured, then what can
- 27:15Speaker 1: happen is is that they can show their papers and
- 27:18Speaker 1: not have to deal with the problems that we already free.
- 27:22Speaker 1: You're gonna have a whole bunch runaway because we ain't paying.
- 27:25Speaker 1: I'm not fan they might, but I'm not paying. Sure,
- 27:28Speaker 1: you're gonna have to have your freedom papers on you
- 27:30Speaker 1: at all times. That's gonna be the law within the
- 27:33Speaker 1: next six months. So what I'm trying to end you
- 27:35Speaker 1: sell you freedom papers so you'll understand that you have
- 27:38Speaker 1: everything that you need. You have your driver's license, you
- 27:41Speaker 1: have your freedom papers, and whatever else did you carry

- 28:06Speaker 1: I understand you, But what you gotta understand is within
- 28:08Speaker 1: the next six months you're gonna need these papers. Well,
- 28:11Speaker 1: they're gonna have to catch my sint tam. Okay, sir,
- 28:14Speaker 1: don't you don't you want to be free? I am free.
- 28:18Speaker 1: Everybody's free. I buy from you. Kiss moe. Sir. You're

- 28:52Speaker 1: I didn't look at up on the computer right now,
- 28:54Speaker 1: I can't find it. Scam trying to get my money in.

- 29:55Speaker 1: of that which one cheese? God paper? All right? Coming
- 30:06Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour, entertainment news Our
- 30:09Speaker 1: Kelly post bond and is released from Cook County Jail
- 30:13Speaker 1: right after this. I ain't gonna be in the You're
- 30:16Speaker 1: listening show? Our Kelly posted bail on Monday afternoon after
- 30:23Speaker 1: spending three nights in Cook County Jail in Chicago. Wait,
- 30:28Speaker 1: he spent three nights, yeah, because he couldn't afford the band. Yeah,
- 30:32Speaker 1: it was a million dollars bail. He had to come
- 30:34Speaker 1: up with one hundred thousand dollars. You serious, very very yeah. Yeah.
- 30:38Speaker 1: He stood three nights. Yeah yeah, yes, are you kidding me? No,
- 30:44Speaker 1: not at all. Yeah. Yeah. He just got out yesterday,
- 30:48Speaker 1: yesterday afternoon. He didn't have he said his money was
- 30:51Speaker 1: tied up. Steve, all Right, Kelly will be forbidden from
- 30:55Speaker 1: having no joke I mean said what making a joke? Yeah. R.
- 31:00Speaker 1: Kelly will be forbidden from having any contact with females
- 31:03Speaker 1: under the age of eighteen. He has pleaded not guilty
- 31:06Speaker 1: to ten counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse as part
- 31:09Speaker 1: of four separate indictments. New allegations around Kelly popped up
- 31:14Speaker 1: of this month from four women, three of whom were
- 31:16Speaker 1: under age when they were allegedly abused by him. This
- 31:20Speaker 1: time around. There are multiple pieces of evidence, including VHS
- 31:24Speaker 1: tapes that appear to show R. Kelly and a young girl,
- 31:27Speaker 1: both of whom make repeated references to her fourteen year
- 31:31Speaker 1: old body parts. The video. But yeah, this is this
- 31:35Speaker 1: is horrible, horrible, horrible. The video appears to have been
- 31:39Speaker 1: made in let's say, nineteen ninety nine to two thousand,
- 31:42Speaker 1: somewhere and there. Lawyer Michael Abnetti says he has acquired
- 31:46Speaker 1: a second tape that he's submitting to prosecutors and is
- 31:49Speaker 1: working up acquiring a third. So my question is this
- 31:52Speaker 1: because I really want to know. So there's like on
- 31:55Speaker 1: crimes like this, there's no Yeah, that that's not that's amazing. Wow.
- 32:04Speaker 1: Yeah yeah. Our Kelly's lawyer is Stephen Greenberg. He suggested
- 32:09Speaker 1: that his accusers are just looking for a payday and
- 32:12Speaker 1: claimed that consent isn't an issue for a rock star
- 32:15Speaker 1: like R Kelly. Well, we out of his mind. Child,
- 32:20Speaker 1: it's looking for a pay day. But that's not You
- 32:23Speaker 1: can't say that because what payday could you possibly be
- 32:28Speaker 1: looking for if you don't have one hundred thousand dollars
- 32:31Speaker 1: to get yourself out of jail for three days, and
- 32:34Speaker 1: you've been in the business as long as him. I'm
- 32:37Speaker 1: pretty sure there's no money nowhere. I don't know what
- 32:40Speaker 1: can't give consent period? It's nothing a fourteen year Why
- 32:45Speaker 1: are we having a discussion? You know? Oh? Whoa wall
- 32:51Speaker 1: call his lawyer saying what his lawyer said? What I
- 32:54Speaker 1: just said? Our Kelly's lawyer, his name is Steve Greenberg. Steve.
- 32:58Speaker 1: He suggested that Kelly these accusers are just looking for
- 33:01Speaker 1: a payday and claim that consent isn't an issue for
- 33:05Speaker 1: a rock star like Robert Kelly. Now isn't an issue.
- 33:12Speaker 1: So what is he saying? That he could have had
- 33:15Speaker 1: anybody he wanted? Pretty much? What does he mean by that?
- 33:19Speaker 1: Pretty pretty much? Yeah, that's what he's saying. Well, okay, cool,
- 33:23Speaker 1: if you can have anybody, you won't what what is
- 33:28Speaker 1: the kids about? That's what he wants. That is what
- 33:32Speaker 1: he wants. It's also been reported Steve that r Kelly
- 33:35Speaker 1: has had numerous financial problems, including unpaid rent and six
- 33:40Speaker 1: figures old in child support. One more thing. Since Surviving
- 33:44Speaker 1: r Kelly aired last month, he's being investigated in three
- 33:48Speaker 1: different states and by the FEDS for a wide range
- 33:51Speaker 1: of alleged crimes, including sex trafficking. I don't, I don't.
- 33:55Speaker 1: I don't see this working out. No, it's not going
- 33:59Speaker 1: and we don't want it too. I mean, you know
- 34:01Speaker 1: so I think. I think, man, it's all he can do.
- 34:05Speaker 1: And they got evidence. They're not hey, man, when all
- 34:08Speaker 1: these people started coming forward, they got the evidence. Man,
- 34:11Speaker 1: just du yeah, and r Kelly drew back in court
- 34:14Speaker 1: on March twenty second, they took his pass. Yeah, they did,
- 34:19Speaker 1: they did. They took that when they rested him. All
- 34:22Speaker 1: right in jail, It's time for the headline, Steve, ladies
- 34:27Speaker 1: and gentlemen, miss Anne Tripp. Okay, thanks, and here they come.
- 34:31Speaker 1: President Trump's a plane has reportedly just landed in Vietnam,
- 34:34Speaker 1: where he's to hold a second summit with North Korean
- 34:36Speaker 1: leader Kim John. Un Like before, the main focus of
- 34:39Speaker 1: their talks is North Korea's denuclearization. After the last one,
- 34:42Speaker 1: you may remember, President Trump declared that North Korea was
- 34:45Speaker 1: no longer a nuclear threat. However, the nation's intelligence agencies
- 34:48Speaker 1: differ with that assessment. In fact, they say that the
- 34:50Speaker 1: North Koreans are actually adding to their nuclear arsenal. By
- 34:54Speaker 1: the way, the House of Representative votes today on a
- 34:56Speaker 1: measure aimed at stopping President Trump from declaring a national
- 34:58Speaker 1: emergency just to get the money he wants for that
- 35:01Speaker 1: promised border wall. The trum administration meanwhile also stiffening sanctions
- 35:05Speaker 1: against officials close to Venezuela's lame duck leader Nicholas Maduro
- 35:09Speaker 1: as part of an effort to try and force Madurou
- 35:11Speaker 1: into relinquishing the reins of his government to the man
- 35:13Speaker 1: who recently won the election Juan Guido, Vice President. Penn
- 35:17Speaker 1: says that the Venezuelan officials who are targeted include three
- 35:20Speaker 1: border state governors implicated in last weekend's violence around Columbia.
- 35:24Speaker 1: These men work to block aid for people in need
- 35:27Speaker 1: and suppress peaceful protests while they're tyrant danced in Caracas.
- 35:32Speaker 1: Their actions will not go unpunish. The US is trying
- 35:35Speaker 1: to convince Venezuelan police and others to switch sides and
- 35:37Speaker 1: support National Assembly President Guido, The owner of the Super
- 35:42Speaker 1: Bowl winning New England Patriots, expected to be given a
- 35:45Speaker 1: day to appear in court on a charge of soliciting
- 35:48Speaker 1: prostitutes in Jupiter, Florida. Robert Craft and Bung about two
- 35:51Speaker 1: dozen men charge as a result of a policing in
- 35:53Speaker 1: a massage parlor. A close advisor to the pope, has
- 35:57Speaker 1: been convicted in Australia of sexually abusing to choir boys. Meanwhile,
- 36:03Speaker 1: r Kelly pled not guilty yesterday in the Chicago courtroom
- 36:05Speaker 1: to all ten counts of sexual abuse lodged against him.
- 36:09Speaker 1: R Kelly's been in jail since Friday, when he turned
- 36:11Speaker 1: himself in on charges of aggravated criminal sexual abuse that's
- 36:15Speaker 1: because his bail was said at one million, which means
- 36:17Speaker 1: he had to come up with ten percent or one
- 36:18Speaker 1: hundred thousand dollars, which his attorney, Stephen Greenberg, says he's
- 36:22Speaker 1: finally come up with. He's in jail. No one wants
- 36:24Speaker 1: to be in jail, so but he's strong and he knows,
- 36:29Speaker 1: he knows what's there, and he knows that what kind
- 36:31Speaker 1: of a fight is going to be involved in. And
- 36:33Speaker 1: the charges against the singer date back about ten years.
- 36:36Speaker 1: If convicted, Kelly could be a sentence to as much
- 36:39Speaker 1: as seventy years behind bars. Now that he's free on bail,
- 36:42Speaker 1: one of the conditions of Kelly's releases that he not
- 36:44Speaker 1: have contact with the alleged victims or anybody under the
- 36:47Speaker 1: age of eighteen. By the way, r Kelly's bail was
- 36:49Speaker 1: posted by a woman who described herself as a friend
- 36:53Speaker 1: fourteen candidates vying for Chicago mayor in today's election in
- 36:57Speaker 1: the Windy City, twenty point nine twenty nine point six
- 37:00Speaker 1: million people watch the oscars. Finally, today is National love

- 37:37Speaker 1: the party. Tyler said, this is it, man, it's my
- 37:40Speaker 1: last tool. He's doing his last tool. I saw that.
- 37:44Speaker 1: That was greatness. Yeah, but I can't believe Media is retiring.
- 37:48Speaker 1: We're really gonna miss her. Yeah, you're funny, man, Yeah,
- 37:51Speaker 1: really funny. She's she's ending it all in much money again.
- 37:57Speaker 1: As soon as I get the money he got, my
- 38:00Speaker 1: ass is going. You're out. Oh follow his footsteps please. Well.
- 38:08Speaker 1: The movie is called Media's Family Funeral, or as Tyler says,
- 38:12Speaker 1: or Media says, Funtural. I love Funtural. Have you seen
- 38:17Speaker 1: where she imitates Maya Angelou? Have you seen that in
- 38:20Speaker 1: the trail? Yes? Yeah, so funny. I mean I love
- 38:28Speaker 1: all her movies, but I think my favorite favorite one
- 38:31Speaker 1: is still Diary of a Mad Black Woman, the very
- 38:33Speaker 1: first movie. What's your favorite? When? That will always be
- 38:39Speaker 1: my favorite. Ye oh yeah, that's good like family, reunion
- 38:44Speaker 1: media family. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I love that one.

- 38:50Speaker 1: can't say that I don't like any of her. Yeah,
- 38:53Speaker 1: I think one of the great. When history is written,
- 38:58Speaker 1: he will go down as somebody who tapped into a market.
- 39:01Speaker 1: And keep in mind, now this is everybody turned this
- 39:05Speaker 1: brother down. They didn't even understand his plays. They didn't
- 39:09Speaker 1: even know what he was talking about. They didn't get it.
- 39:12Speaker 1: He was killing him. He knew his audience, he knew
- 39:16Speaker 1: who his audience was, the people every night, killing them right.
- 39:21Speaker 1: He tapped into something that hadn't been done before. Steve

- 39:53Speaker 1: hey man, let me make a statement here. I wish
- 39:56Speaker 1: people would really understand something. If you don't think that
- 39:59Speaker 1: this this is about the money and the money game,
- 40:02Speaker 1: you said and mistaken. Every game you in is the
- 40:05Speaker 1: money game. If you had the post office, if you're
- 40:07Speaker 1: at Walmart chick for late, you are in that system's
- 40:11Speaker 1: money game. It's not going to change, y'all. Sorry, I'm sorry,

- 40:31Speaker 1: More details have emerged in the New England Patriots owner
- 40:35Speaker 1: Robert Kraft prostitution ring case. Officials are saying Kraft's first
- 40:39Speaker 1: indictment occurred on January nineteenth. The second indictment occurred on
- 40:44Speaker 1: January twentieth, the day the Patriots were playing the Chiefs
- 40:47Speaker 1: in the AFC Championship game. Kraft paid for a threesome,
- 40:51Speaker 1: and officials say Robert Kraft was only at the Asian
- 40:54Speaker 1: Massage parlor for a total of fourteen minutes on January
- 40:58Speaker 1: twentieth and exited to Await at twenty fifteen. Blue Bentley
- 41:02Speaker 1: Palm Beach State Attorney Dave Ahrenberg says Craft is facing
- 41:07Speaker 1: up to one year in jail if convicted on the
- 41:10Speaker 1: first degree misdemeanor charge of soliciting another to commit prostitution. Now,
- 41:15Speaker 1: a maximum sentence includes up to one year in jail,
- 41:19Speaker 1: one hundred hours of community service, and completion of a
- 41:22Speaker 1: class on the dangers of prostitution and human trafficking. In
- 41:27Speaker 1: an updated statement on Monday, the NFL says its personal
- 41:31Speaker 1: conduct policy applies to everyone in the league. We will
- 41:36Speaker 1: handle yes, we will handle this allegation in the same
- 41:39Speaker 1: way we would handle any issue under our policy. The
- 41:42Speaker 1: league said in statement, here's a deal. He's going to
- 41:46Speaker 1: get punished. Here's here's a problem with all. No, no, no, no, no,
- 41:51Speaker 1: here's what I got. If it were just prostitution, right,
- 41:57Speaker 1: it probably wouldn't be as telling for him, because you know,
- 42:02Speaker 1: but when you're talking about human trafficking, when you're talking
- 42:06Speaker 1: about some girl or boy somewhere against a will having
- 42:10Speaker 1: to do sex for not now you into the and
- 42:14Speaker 1: that's what that that's the problem he got because of
- 42:17Speaker 1: the place he got has been targeted for human trafficking.
- 42:21Speaker 1: Here's the other problem. I do not understand. With that
- 42:25Speaker 1: kind of money, why are you going to a place?
- 42:30Speaker 1: You know, man it's it's if you just want to
- 42:32Speaker 1: do an act with prostitutes, it's you don't even have
- 42:36Speaker 1: it's just people available at your money level billions, and
- 42:43Speaker 1: there's no chance of them being traffic voluntary people who
- 42:50Speaker 1: for the money, will you can do two threesome folsome
- 42:55Speaker 1: you can just get a pile of people in your
- 42:57Speaker 1: hotel room. I don't understand what this do. It's doing
- 43:01Speaker 1: that a facility like this, knowing full well the things
- 43:07Speaker 1: that happen in these facilities. Sex trafficking is horrible. Yet
- 43:14Speaker 1: do you know that in Atlanta, Georgia, they have one
- 43:17Speaker 1: with the highest rate of sex rug Yeah there, yeah,
- 43:21Speaker 1: in Atlanta, shocking, one of the highest in the United States.
- 43:27Speaker 1: I don't I do not understand why this man of
- 43:30Speaker 1: this magnitude, with this means, who has the money to
- 43:33Speaker 1: do whatever you want to do with whoever he's want
- 43:36Speaker 1: to do it. I don't understand it. Man, to go
- 43:43Speaker 1: down here, man and especially you you, but now you
- 43:47Speaker 1: open yourself up. This is sex trafficking. These are people
- 43:50Speaker 1: who don't want to be here. Serious, this craziness. Man,
- 43:57Speaker 1: talk in your budley. Ain't nobody who's see God who
- 44:02Speaker 1: don't know that paint bro. It's just that that's a stupidness. Yeah,
- 44:10Speaker 1: I'm glad the NFL at least released that statement. Oh
- 44:13Speaker 1: you ain't got to worry, man. They they Robert Ersay,
- 44:17Speaker 1: who was the owner of the coach. He had a
- 44:19Speaker 1: dui and they put him out the league for a while.
- 44:22Speaker 1: You know, Look, they can't take your team from you,
- 44:25Speaker 1: but they can punish you and you part. You can't
- 44:28Speaker 1: come to games and finds. Oh, they can get up
- 44:30Speaker 1: in that pocket for you. Yeah. If people are shocked
- 44:33Speaker 1: to hear this because he's such a high profile figure,
- 44:36Speaker 1: you know, hanging out with Meek Mill and you know,
- 44:38Speaker 1: doing things that he does, doing things for the community,
- 44:42Speaker 1: things for the exactly all of that. So always one
- 44:45Speaker 1: of the stellar owners in the league. Yeah, yeah, one
- 44:49Speaker 1: of the great franchises too. Would belittle him though, Is
- 44:52Speaker 1: him doing community service? That's what's gonna be little. Oh
- 44:56Speaker 1: he could have as with a with a stick with
- 44:58Speaker 1: a yeah, end of it, picking up style phone on
- 45:02Speaker 1: side of highway. Well, the Palm Beach State attorneys saying
- 45:06Speaker 1: that they're not doing a special treatment for him, Yeah, oh,
- 45:10Speaker 1: think we'll do something to him because of that. They've
- 45:12Speaker 1: released a story and the story about nobody. But hell,
- 45:15Speaker 1: all right, we're gonna move on and take it over
- 45:18Speaker 1: to the nephew. Now. His prank phone call is coming
- 45:21Speaker 1: up right after this bring it to Me You're listening
- 45:26Speaker 1: show coming up at the top of the hour. Right
- 45:29Speaker 1: about four minutes after it's my strawberry letter for today
- 45:32Speaker 1: subject my ignorant lover calls me bougie. Okay, but right
- 45:39Speaker 1: now the nephew is here with whatever you guys with
- 45:42Speaker 1: today's crank phone call. I hear it all, okay, what
- 45:45Speaker 1: you got for I like your strong beer title. Let's
- 45:49Speaker 1: want to hear my time? Play for a day? What
- 45:52Speaker 1: play for a day? And am I losing my mind
- 45:57Speaker 1: right now? Somebody just tell me? Why would you do that?
- 46:00Speaker 1: You could? Would your man? I think I think I
- 46:04Speaker 1: heard play for a Day. Yeah, that's what I said. No,
- 46:07Speaker 1: I said, you didn't think he said it? What? No,
- 46:11Speaker 1: I don't know he said it, Tommy like for a day? Baby?
- 46:18Speaker 1: Here we got running up team Tommy. Hello, Hello, I'm
- 46:24Speaker 1: trying to reach to you, missus Glinda, Please, miss Glenda.
- 46:28Speaker 1: This is Gary. Gary. I'm with the Black History Okay.
- 46:33Speaker 1: You you you participated last year in the in the
- 46:36Speaker 1: Black History Parade. Am I right? Yes, I should did. Okay.
- 46:39Speaker 1: I got your name from one of the members on
- 46:41Speaker 1: the committee, and we're trying to see if you can
- 46:43Speaker 1: actually build some help for this year's black history uh
- 46:46Speaker 1: for this month. I should be glad to help. Okay. Listen, Um,
- 46:50Speaker 1: we're having an auction tomorrow and wanted to see if
- 46:53Speaker 1: you could actually maybe build some help with the auction
- 46:56Speaker 1: that we actually have gone on tomorrow. Yes, dude, need
- 47:00Speaker 1: to donate anything or but no, no, we're not really
- 47:04Speaker 1: trying to get some donation from you this time. We're
- 47:07Speaker 1: trying to see if you have some time tomorrow to
- 47:09Speaker 1: come out and actually help out with the actual auction. Okay,
- 47:13Speaker 1: what time tomorrow? Probably like about nine o'clock in the morning.
- 47:17Speaker 1: I can do that, okay. Now we're asking that you
- 47:20Speaker 1: wear something that you'll be comfortable in all day tomorrow possible, okay, Okay,
- 47:24Speaker 1: pretty much an all day event that we're trying to
- 47:26Speaker 1: get you to do. Okay, I could be there around nine,
- 47:30Speaker 1: but then we have to leave about four. Well, I'll
- 47:32Speaker 1: tell you what. We'll see what we can how we
- 47:34Speaker 1: can work it out, but we definitely want you to
- 47:35Speaker 1: come and be a part of what we're doing. So
- 47:37Speaker 1: what is it that you really need be to do? Um? Well, actually,
- 47:41Speaker 1: you know, we we we got a lot of people
- 47:43Speaker 1: doing different things at the you know, at the auction,
- 47:46Speaker 1: you know, so we just want you to come out
- 47:47Speaker 1: and be of some help with everything that's going on. Okay,
- 47:50Speaker 1: well I want to be prepared. So what exactly do
- 47:53Speaker 1: I need to do? Work the concessions, stay in something
- 47:55Speaker 1: like that. No, really, what we had is actually you
- 47:58Speaker 1: being a part of the auction, being a part of
- 48:01Speaker 1: the auction such as well, what we're doing tomorrow is
- 48:06Speaker 1: we have already we already have fifty people who are
- 48:08Speaker 1: signed up and you would be, you know, one of
- 48:11Speaker 1: those people that are that are that are signed up
- 48:13Speaker 1: to do the actual What is is we're having slaves
- 48:16Speaker 1: for a day and what we're gonna be doing is
- 48:19Speaker 1: auctioning you. Often, somebody's gonna buy you tomorrow and you
- 48:22Speaker 1: will be there for the day slaves. Yeah, you will
- 48:26Speaker 1: be the slave for the day. That's what that's what
- 48:28Speaker 1: we've decided to do with the black history. We've decided.
- 48:31Speaker 1: I didn't mean I don't I want to participate, but
- 48:35Speaker 1: being a slave no, okay, but see what you what
- 48:39Speaker 1: I want you to understand that this is a word
- 48:40Speaker 1: that calls though you know what we want if we
- 48:42Speaker 1: were the calls. But I'm not gonna be no play
- 48:46Speaker 1: well well you I mean you don't have to call
- 48:47Speaker 1: it a slave. I mean as a servant, you know,
- 48:50Speaker 1: a butler. You know what I mean, what you want
- 48:51Speaker 1: to call it. I'm just saying, no I a slave. Okay, Okay,
- 48:57Speaker 1: man man, miss miss Glenna. What I'm trying to explain
- 48:59Speaker 1: to you this is the word to call for the
- 49:00Speaker 1: black history, and we're trying to get you to be there.
- 49:03Speaker 1: Somebody may buy you for five hundred dollars tomorrow. No,
- 49:07Speaker 1: I'm not gonna do it. Okay are you are you?
- 49:10Speaker 1: Are you turning us down for a word that calls
- 49:13Speaker 1: miss Glendas? Yes, I am turning your down. Don't call
- 49:16Speaker 1: me with that kind of no more. I mean, I
- 49:18Speaker 1: don't understand what what the problem is. You know, sometimes
- 49:21Speaker 1: we got to repeat history so we don't go back
- 49:23Speaker 1: to the history. Sometimes we got to do it again
- 49:25Speaker 1: so we don't go back to what you understand, But
- 49:28Speaker 1: it isn't seem like you you acting like a housene
- 49:31Speaker 1: grow or something like you two up at your Housney
- 49:33Speaker 1: grow House, nee grow. Who's the chairman of this? Excuse
- 49:38Speaker 1: me the chairman. Last time I spoke with mister Wilson,
- 49:41Speaker 1: and we didn't have no like this. Okay, and I
- 49:44Speaker 1: understand that. But what I'm trying to explain to you
- 49:46Speaker 1: is this is something that I don't want you to
- 49:48Speaker 1: explain a thing to me. Do not call me with
- 49:50Speaker 1: this kind of again. Are you gonna show up tomorrow
- 49:53Speaker 1: so we can sell you? Do you understand me? Are
- 49:55Speaker 1: you gonna show up tomorrow so we can sell you?
- 49:58Speaker 1: We already? Have you not gonna say, I'm we haven't
- 50:01Speaker 1: listed to be sold tomorrow? Sell you? We've got you
- 50:04Speaker 1: listened to be sold tomorrow, ma'am? Can we please may
- 50:07Speaker 1: shoot on be sold and you not call here again? Hey, listen,
- 50:11Speaker 1: if you don't show up tomorrow, then we will come
- 50:13Speaker 1: to your house and sell you there. Come too, if
- 50:17Speaker 1: I got to come out of which you will come
- 50:19Speaker 1: to bring you over here. If you want to listen,
- 50:23Speaker 1: I will come there to sell you. If you're not
- 50:25Speaker 1: gonna come out to the auction, come on to my house,
- 50:27Speaker 1: you bad, Come on to my mouse. Okay, I tell you,
- 50:30Speaker 1: and you know what I need you to do this.
- 50:31Speaker 1: You need to start saying yes sir and no sir
- 50:33Speaker 1: to me right now. Okay, I need to get you
- 50:36Speaker 1: in the in the frame of mind being a slave
- 50:38Speaker 1: for to day. Okay, I didn't hear what you said,
- 50:41Speaker 1: kiss my black I'm coming to your house tomorrow and
- 50:46Speaker 1: I'm gonna sell you in front of your house. If
- 50:48Speaker 1: you want to come down to the auction tomorrow morning
- 50:50Speaker 1: at nine o'clock, you better not bring you my house.
- 50:53Speaker 1: Do you better not? Do you understand me? Id a
- 50:57Speaker 1: march for civil rights? I don't have time form like that.
- 51:01Speaker 1: And we gotta for president you I understand we got
- 51:05Speaker 1: a black man for president. But right now we're trying
- 51:07Speaker 1: to raise some money for black history and we need
- 51:10Speaker 1: to sell you tomorrow morning. You're not gonna sell me.
- 51:13Speaker 1: You're not gonna sell me. You no call my house
- 51:16Speaker 1: no more? Do you understand? Do not call? I understand
- 51:19Speaker 1: exactly what you're saying. Can I sell you something else?
- 51:21Speaker 1: Who else is gonna be so tomorrow? Tell now? Don't
- 51:24Speaker 1: tell me. I got one more thing I do need
- 51:27Speaker 1: to tell you. What is it? Bess is Matphew Timmy
- 51:31Speaker 1: from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You just got pranked
- 51:33Speaker 1: by your sisters. My sister, my sister. I can't believe
- 51:45Speaker 1: that I'm gonna get Huh. I can't believe you to
- 51:49Speaker 1: did clemda? You all right? All right? This is so crazy.
- 51:57Speaker 1: I can't believe it. I'm gonna put I for this.
- 52:04Speaker 1: It doesn't sound like you were gonna get stole. No way.
- 52:08Speaker 1: You wasn't getting on this auction block. Huh, No, no way,
- 52:13Speaker 1: Because miss Linders have been there. I've been at the
- 52:16Speaker 1: city end, the marches, I've done some of everything. Yes, ma'am. Well,
- 52:20Speaker 1: I tell you what, Missus Glendon, if it wasn't for
- 52:22Speaker 1: people like you, we probably wouldn't be where we are today.
- 52:24Speaker 1: That's right. We showed, Thank you. We showed thinking. I
- 52:27Speaker 1: just wanted to play a joke. And did I get you? Yes?
- 52:30Speaker 1: You did you? Sure? Indeed I got one more. I
- 52:35Speaker 1: got one more thing to ask you? What is what
- 52:37Speaker 1: is the baddest and I mean the baddest radio show
- 52:39Speaker 1: in the land, the Steve Harvey Morning Show, but that
- 52:43Speaker 1: the Nephew Tommy. We love you, missus Glendon. Okay, love
- 52:47Speaker 1: you too. I love it. That's it right there. I
- 52:57Speaker 1: worked out as a Frank and be a great game show.
- 53:00Speaker 1: I love that's right with ja. I am losing my mind.

- 54:35Speaker 1: we gotta get out of here. Thank your nephew. Up next,
- 54:37Speaker 1: it is today's Strawberry Letters. Subject my ignorant lover calls
- 54:41Speaker 1: me bujie. We'll be back right after this. You're listening
- 54:46Speaker 1: to Steve Morning Show. Time now for today's Strawberry Letter.
- 54:50Speaker 1: And if you need advice on relationships, on sex, on dating,

- 55:02Speaker 1: We could read your letter live on the air, just
- 55:04Speaker 1: like we're gonna read this one today, right now, right now.
- 55:09Speaker 1: Buckle uphold on tight. We got it for you. Here.
- 55:11Speaker 1: It is Strawberry Letter. Subject, my ignorant lover calls me boogie. Okay,
- 55:16Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley, I am dating a guy that I
- 55:20Speaker 1: am embarrassed of. He and I met in college about
- 55:23Speaker 1: eight years ago, and we lost contact initially because he
- 55:26Speaker 1: got kicked out of college for behavioral issues and I
- 55:30Speaker 1: moved to a different city after I got my degree.
- 55:33Speaker 1: He found me a year ago and we have been
- 55:36Speaker 1: trying to make a relationship work since then. We were
- 55:39Speaker 1: much younger when we met, and the way he acted
- 55:42Speaker 1: did not bother me as much then. But now we're
- 55:45Speaker 1: good and grown and his behavior is a turn off.
- 55:49Speaker 1: He says ignorant things on a daily basis, and it
- 55:52Speaker 1: gets under my skin. I started calling him stupid, and
- 55:56Speaker 1: I know that I should never insult a brother, but
- 55:58Speaker 1: he acts like he has no sense in public. In turn,
- 56:02Speaker 1: he calls me boogie when we go out. We usually
- 56:06Speaker 1: get into huge, loud arguments when I try to correct
- 56:09Speaker 1: him or apologize to others for the way he acts.
- 56:13Speaker 1: I get tired of him saying hey man to me
- 56:16Speaker 1: when he greets me, or calling me boo and bay
- 56:18Speaker 1: in public. I can't stand when he curses in public
- 56:23Speaker 1: or tells me I have to pay for stuff because
- 56:25Speaker 1: I make more money. I have a very professional job
- 56:29Speaker 1: and he is an assistant manager of a sporting goods store.
- 56:32Speaker 1: On another note, he is somewhat of a gentleman and
- 56:36Speaker 1: takes care of things around my house, doing whatever he
- 56:39Speaker 1: can to make me comfortable. But I can't help but
- 56:42Speaker 1: be ashamed of him. I feel like I am about
- 56:45Speaker 1: to let a good man go over something petty. Do
- 56:49Speaker 1: you think I'm the one that needs to change. By
- 56:51Speaker 1: the way, he does not think we have a problem,
- 56:54Speaker 1: please advise. Question why are you with him? I don't
- 57:01Speaker 1: get it. I mean, why are you with this man?
- 57:04Speaker 1: In the first line of the letter, you said you're
- 57:06Speaker 1: embarrassed of him, and you said his behavior is a
- 57:09Speaker 1: turn off. So I don't understand. Why would you want
- 57:13Speaker 1: to be with someone who, in your own words, you say,
- 57:16Speaker 1: is stupid. I mean, your feelings and desires aren't petty.
- 57:22Speaker 1: If these things bother you, you know, if they bother you,
- 57:26Speaker 1: If they bother you, now, let me just say this,
- 57:28Speaker 1: they're going to always bother you. You know. Women are
- 57:32Speaker 1: always trying to change a man. He is who he is,
- 57:35Speaker 1: just like you are who you are, and you can
- 57:37Speaker 1: only change yourself. You cannot change him. We say that
- 57:40Speaker 1: a billion times on the show in reference to these letters.
- 57:44Speaker 1: I tell you, I say, stopped correcting him in public,
- 57:47Speaker 1: stopped paying for stuff when he tells you to pay
- 57:50Speaker 1: just because you make more money? What is that? And
- 57:54Speaker 1: I mean, and all this arguing and cursing, and you
- 57:58Speaker 1: calling him stupid, and you know, in all of this
- 58:00Speaker 1: and apologizing to other people for his behavior, stop doing that.
- 58:05Speaker 1: I mean, it takes two to argue. He can't argue
- 58:09Speaker 1: with you if you're gonna if you don't argue back.
- 58:11Speaker 1: So you guys are in public just clowning. And then
- 58:13Speaker 1: at the end you say he is somewhat of a gentleman,
- 58:16Speaker 1: where you haven't said that one time in the letter.
- 58:20Speaker 1: The only thing that he does is takes care of
- 58:22Speaker 1: things around the house, doing whatever he can to make
- 58:24Speaker 1: you comfortable. I mean that's something, but you're ashamed of him.
- 58:29Speaker 1: You know you don't like being out in public with him,
- 58:31Speaker 1: So I mean, you know, the only way this is
- 58:34Speaker 1: gonna work is if you change, or if he decides
- 58:37Speaker 1: to change on his own. Otherwise, you guys are unequally yoked.
- 58:41Speaker 1: You're not a good match. Steve, Wow, let me just
- 58:47Speaker 1: read this land just Steven Shelley. I'm dating to God
- 58:50Speaker 1: that I'm embarrassed. This is a bad start to a
- 58:56Speaker 1: bad letter, a bad letter, and it never gets better.
- 59:03Speaker 1: There's nothing in this letter that gets better after you
- 59:06Speaker 1: started it. I'm dating the guy that I'm a basting
- 59:10Speaker 1: of bast up. You dated college, moved to a different city.
- 59:15Speaker 1: He found me a year ago, and you've been trying
- 59:19Speaker 1: to make a relationship's work since then let me say
- 59:24Speaker 1: this to you. You've been trying to make a relationship
- 59:28Speaker 1: work for one year and it ain't worked. How much
- 59:33Speaker 1: more time you got for this? When we were younger
- 59:39Speaker 1: and met, the way he acted didn't really bother you
- 59:41Speaker 1: much then, But now you say, y'all good and grown.
- 59:45Speaker 1: He says ignorant things on a daily basis. Feel our pain,
- 59:53Speaker 1: me and Carla, feel our pain. Ignorant pains with just
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: that ain't a bottle. He says ignorant things on a
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: daily basis and gets under your skin. So you start
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: calling him stupid. She said, I know I should never
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: solder brother, but he acts like you ain't got no
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: sense in public? No, he not acting like he thought.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: He don't have no senses. You just said he adbassing you.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: So when you call him stupid, his response to you
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: is you bullshy. Yeah, see, that's not a good trade off.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: You stupid? You bush no stupid. Trump's bullsh you every day.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: Then when you go out, you get in huge arguments,
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: loud arguments. You try to correct him, you gotta apologize.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: I'm so sorned, man, I'm sorry what he said. You're
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: not You're not. I'm sorry. He didn't say nothing. That
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: his nose is big too. I'm sorry, don't win, but
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: that I don't like his shoes today. You just apologize.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: I get tired of him saying now he talking to
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: hub hey man, when he greets you, boom and bathe,
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: hey man, boom and bathe in public. You can't stand
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: when he cuts in public. Then you can't stand when
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: you got to pay for stuff because I make more money.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: On another note, he is somewhat of a gentleman. What
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: ye somewhat? What? What did you read the letter? Because
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: he's he fixes stuff around the house, so he didn't
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: moved a refrigerator so you can see the TV better.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: That that's you get punts for that? Just a damn
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: sh it. Really is someone and gentlemen, I feel like
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: I'm about to let a good man go over something. Person.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: You could let him go to day because a woman
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: listening it is thank you kind of good man. Here's
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: more than one stupid person in this letter. All right,
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: hang on, Steve, we'll get back to you and part
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: two of your response coming up at twenty three after
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: the hour. The subject for today's Strawberry Letter, my ignorant
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: lover calls me boogie. We'll get back into it right
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: after this. You're listening, all right, Steve, Let's recap today's straw.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: Start to let off. I gotta Shelly, thank you. I'm
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: dating the guy I'm in barrassed up. Bad start to
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: a bad letter, and it gets worse. We've been trying
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: to make a relationship work for a year. He says
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: ignorant things on a daily basis. You started calling him stupid.
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: He in turn calls you bullshi when your argum is huge,
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: loud arguments, and you end up having apologize for other
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: people for hiyak. When he meets you in public, he says,
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: hey man bay or boom he cuts in public. Didn't
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: he tell you got to pay stuff before because you
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: make more money? Then you say, on another note, he's
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: somewhat of a gentleman and takes care of things around
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: this house. Then you said, I feel like I'm about
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: to let a good man go over something petty. Do
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: you think I'm the one that needs to change? Oh,
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: and by the way, he does not think we have
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: a problem. Didn't you just say he was stupid? Then
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: you just say he was Then you say, at the
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: end of all this, he don't think we have a problem.
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: You said he was stupid, you said he's embarrassing. But
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: in all of this embarrassment, in all of this stupidity,
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: all these public arguments, insults, cousin making you pay for stuff,
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: the titler of this letter is my ignorant lover calls
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: me bush. The title of this letter should be my
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: ignorant lover and my ignorant ass is together. That's really
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: what this is, because like I said, he's the only
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: stupid person in this letter. What do you want me
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: and Shirley to tell you? What? What do we have
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: to say to you? But I'm curious because you wrote
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: the letter when you When you wrote it, did you
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: with the spell chat come up in anything? Did you
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: read it as you was talking? Did you dictate it
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: to somebody that you typed it yourself? How did you
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: let it get to us when you press singing it
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: was your intent for us to get it? Yeah, I'm
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: not understanding. It doesn't make any sense at all what
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: you described in this letter. And then you won't think
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: that you might be letting a good man go system.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: You need to take your degree and your bullshie self
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: and find you somebody that ain't as stupid as him.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: And the only way you're gonna find somebody is not
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: as stupid as him is you must first stop act
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: as stupid at yourself. And that's the truth. I'm silent
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: just sitting up in him. He just dumb as a
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: damn though. Now she's calling you. Hello. Yeah, I'm on
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: the radio right now. Yeah, I'm doing radio. Uh huh, no, baby, baby,

- 1:06:27Speaker 1: have no cookout with your friends. I want to have
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: a balloon fight. Yeah, so you just gonna be boosie huh,
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: because I want to have a balloon fight now. I'm
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: stupid and juicye the news yesterday it was an earthquake
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: in Tunisia. You want to go over there. I was
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: thinking about flying out tomorrow to go see how they're doing. Now.
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: I don't know nobody over there, because they need some uplift.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: I was gonna take the balloons, uh from the balloon
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: fight and take them over there and so they can
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: have some fun doing it. Damn, you don't want to
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: do that either, man, you tripping, you're tripping. Oh yeah, No, no,

- 1:14:38Speaker 1: things you didn't know were in the fridge that have
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: gone bad, not until you open it. And the last
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: one is things people say at a funeral, who overdo it?
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: Will let that bank? Wasn't that frigerator? Let me go,
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: said funeral? Who overdo it? Things people say at the
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: funeral that overdo it? Right? Where did you gonna sit?
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: Your ass? Died? That's right in now this funeral. This
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: funeral so nice. I hate I'm gonna miss man. You
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: know what he lucky he did because she can't sing
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: with a damn Things people say at the funeral, who
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: overdo it? Yeah? He show died good. He died so good.
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: That little dog went over there, that wasn't even his O.
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: That's a black funeral right there, for real. That was fast. Well,
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: you know she was. She was cremated, but she always
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: wanted a hot, smoking body. She always people say, I'm
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: so sad you don't. I'm gonna see you later, no
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: matter where you go Heaven, Hell, I see you nobody
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: like I did, no like I tell you what though,
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: what I'm most interested in seeing how I didn't gonna
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: get him to that hearse. You know what, he would
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: have wanted me to sing staying alive. He really would
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: have wanted me to sing. He gave me dead. He
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: gave me dead. I just saw him yesterday. All right,
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: thank you guys, good job. As always. Coming up at
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: the top of the hour, Spike Lee. It's a little
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: upset about the Best Picture loss, and the President takes
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: a shot at Spike. We'll talk about it right after
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: this you're listening to, all right. So Spike Lee may
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: have picked up his first oscar on Sunday night at
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: the Academy Awards. But when when Yeah, of course it
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: was when he was done celebrating. Spike took some shots
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: at the Academy for getting Best Picture to Greenbook. Um,
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: of course, he wrote and directed Black Klansman, who won
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: the Best Greenplay Award, missed his beloved New York Knick
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: snapping their eighteen game home losing streak to attend the Oscars.
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: And that's what Samuel L. Jackson told him though that
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: they won, But later Spike said that Green Book's big
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: win made him feel like he was sitting courtside at
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: Mattis and Square Garden because the ref made a bad call.
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: Spike Lee told reporters backstage, I'm snake bitten right now.
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: Every time someone's driving somebody, I lose, right. He was
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: referring back to when Do the Right Thing was up
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: and driving Miss Daisy One. Yeah, and now, um, you
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: know Black Klansman was up against the Green Book and
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: that's also a driving movie. Spike of course is referring
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: to that. Um but uh, I mean he was, he
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: was feeling it though, he was. He was really happy
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: for the Best Screenplay Best Screenplay award that he won.
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: But I mean, yeah, he was a moment. Yeah, he
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: really was. He really was, and it was delighted. Yeah,
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: some alcohol involved, righte bo. I mean it was funny,
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: you know, that's all. Yeah. Yeah, Well why is the
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: president talking, well, you can't have time for none of this. Yeah,
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: he really all right. So you know when when Spike
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: did his acceptance speech, um, he took a shot at
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: the president, although he never actually mentioned Donald Trump's name.
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: Spike said, the twenty twenty president presidential election is around
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: the corner. Let's all mobilize, let's all be on the
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: right side of history. Make the moral choice between love
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: versus hate. Let's do the right thing. That's what he said. No,
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: it is not, No, it's not it's political. Yes, it
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: is political. Not right. Yeah, but it's not racist. But
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: President Trump took the opportunity to say it was. He
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: responded in a tweet. Be nice if Spike Lee could
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: read his notes or better yet, not have to use
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: notes at all when doing his racist hit on your president,
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: who has done more for African Americans? Criminal justice reform
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: lowis unemployment numbers in history, tax cuts, etc. But yeah,
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: he's delusional at this point. The unemployment rate is off
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: the heels of the Obama administration what they did. That's fact.
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: I know that too. Yes, he does to me that
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: the announcing criminal reform Okay, cool, good move. Um, you
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: don't understand how to unify country. So everything you do
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: just pales man. But anyway, the bottom line is why
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: are you talking about this? Yeah, run the country please.
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: And the criminal reform is basically because most of people
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: who weren't playing in jail. So yeah, half your damn cabinet. Right,
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: he's indicted at least. And and I love what team
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: what Samuel ol Jackson said. He told TMZ that he
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: responded to mister Trump by saying, yeah, he's done more
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: for blacks because he is the biggest plantation. While he
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: just got and probably just walked off. He did a
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: video he walked off to love Samuel scared. No, no,
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: not at all. Sam looks great. He looks yes, yeah,
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: yeah actually yes, and wrapped his legs around him. Yeah.
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: He was so happy because they started out together. Yeah yeah,
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: two of them. Yeah. Yeah. A lot of people were
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: shocked at Green Book one picture. Yeah it was a
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: good movie. I saw it was a good movie. I
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: was shocked too, up against Black Panther, Yes it was, yes, okay,
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: Black Panther was the movie. Yeah, yeah, So it was surprising.
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: So when Spike said that he's you know, I think
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: everybody was like kind of shocked. About green book too,
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: not hercheli ilive. I saw him at the party. Oh man,
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: great reaction. Man. I put my drink on the flow
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: and hug him. Did you did you talking about the
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: wards you gave him? Yeah? I talked to him about
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: he knew about. He thanked me for him and his
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: wife was dad. That was his wife sitting next to him. Beautiful, cool,
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: cool couple. I gave her props. I said, look, you
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: know you can be a successful man and not have
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: a wife. But if you want to be a great man,
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: I don't know any great men that that did not
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: have women. I knows a lot of successful men, but
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: I don't know any great ones. Yeah. I was just
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: can say Jay anything you want to add to that.
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: He hung out with people. But if you mum, Jesus
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: didn't have a wife because Jesus done all that, you
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: ain't Jesus. You're not Jesus, I said, man, he was
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: the Messiah. Stay focused Jesus to compare to anything. We
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: don't hit doing. So are you you're thinking about getting
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: married now? After Steve said that, you know from how
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: you here what I said? And he asked me no
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: intention of being great? That every time I am great
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: in my own way. Yes you are. No, you could
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: be even No, Jay, you're successful, you're successful, great, I'm
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: damn great. Just keep saying it. That's leading leading a drama.
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: If the serial can be great, damn it, I can
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: be great. But he's saying you can be even greater. Jay,
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: you had said to be successful, a wife to support you.
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: You know, that's all. What's the saying in the Bible,
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: He who chooses a wife, what find favor? Find it
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: the good thing, and favor with the Lord, and favor
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: a single man did not write. She was looking over
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: his shoulder when she wrote write, told him to write it,
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: write it, write it down, write it. That's funny. Jack
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: who Proverbs King Solomon who wrote that. That's the only
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: book in the Bible. I've read the entire book Wisdom
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: from Proverb Book of Wisdom and understand more precious than gold.
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: Yeah all right, well, we'll be back with more as
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: we try to get Jay married off Steve Harvey Show.
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: The lit right now, won't be right. You're listening to
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: the Stave Harvey Morning Show. Last night. During the Senator
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: Bernie Sanders town hall meeting in Washington, d C. Senator
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: Sanders promised to release ten years of his tax returns.
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: Did you hear that he promised to release ten years
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: of this decade? Katie? Yes, presently can't get a week
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: end he's stealing. Will let you see it? The House though,
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: may require that he shows it to him, right do
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: you the president? Yeah? Coolcause we haven't seen a thing. Uh.
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: Bernie Sanders told CNN's Wolf Blitzer they're very boring tax
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: returns than. A Howard University student asked Senator Bernie Sanders
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: how he plans to pay for his ambitious social programs.
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: Take a listen to this. In the United States right now,
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: we have more income and wealth equality than any other
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: country unearthed. We have three people who are more wealth
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: than the bottom half of America. We have the one
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: percent owning more wealth than the bottom ninety. We have
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: forty six percent of all new income going to the
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: top one percent. Okay, So what we have in America
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: today is a whole lot of wealth, but that wealth
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: and income increasingly goes to the very, very wealthiest people
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: in this country. So what I believe that in a democratic,
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: civilized society, healthcare, Yeah, is a right. Making sure that
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: our kids can get a higher education is a right
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: that we rebuild our crumbling infrastructure. Is a basic need
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: that's going to cost money, but at a time when
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: the people on top have so much while the middle
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: class shrinks and we have so many people living in poverty.
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: If your question is, am I going to demand that
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: the wealthy and large corporations start paying their fair share
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: of taxes? Damn right? I will? All right, Wow, all right,
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: candidate Bernie Sanders. Use all that wall money they're talking about, Bernie,
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: what do you think still? I mean, he's going to
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: run into a huge opposition with that because let's let's
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: just talk about the reality of it. Uh, you would,
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: That's how I believe that everybody should get educated. But
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: he would have to reform the entire system to make
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: that happen. And it's not going to happen because too
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: many people make money off education. So how are you
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: going to get this thing passed? And then how you're
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: gonna get the money. It's a great notion, but he
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: can't do it while he's living. And they're gonna use
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: the same argument with Medicare Canada. You can go to
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: the hospital and get treated. Italy, you can go to
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: the hospital and get treated. America does not. It's a
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: capitalistic society and they set it up that way. They
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: gonna catch all hell trying to pass that because way
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: too many companies will stop making money and they're gonna
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: fight it. And these rich boys, man, they're gonna fight it.
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: I'm just being real with you. You know. I think
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: that education should be free in this country, and I
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: especially think that medical attention should be free. A person
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: should be able to go and get medical attention. And
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: it's it's like that in so many places around the
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: world where you can go get medical Well, it'll be
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: interesting to see that's part of his platform as he
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: runs for the Democratic presidential nomination. Yeah, that Biagrasshi. I
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: wouldn't think get that right down, because that's real high
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: that if you split him, if you split them time
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: and you save money, let him. I didn't know you
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: had to split them. Further thought, you took the whole thing,
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: but that literally I were talking about Bernie working on
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: that though, Bernie working on work on everything that's universal health,
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: do it right, and he uses food. You can powder
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: it up. Jimmy Junior, Oh my god. More after this,
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: you're listening Steve Morning Show our. Kelly posted bail on
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: Monday afternoon after spending three nights in Cook County Jail
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: in Chicago. Wait, he spent three nights. Yeah, because he
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: couldn't afford the band didn't Yeah, it was a million
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: dollars bail. He had to come up with one hundred
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: thousand dollars. You serious, very very yeah. Yeah, he stood
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: three nights. Yeah yeah, yes, are you kidding me? No,
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: not at all. Yeah. Yeah. He just got out yesterday,
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: yesterday afternoon. He didn't have he said, and money was
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: tied up. Steve, all Right, Kelly will be forbidden from
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: having no joke, I mean he said, what's making a joke? Yeah,
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: Kelly will be forbidden from having any contact with emails
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: under the age of eighteen. He has pleaded not guilty
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: to ten counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse as part
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: of four separate indictments. New allegations around Kelly popped up
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: this month from four women, three of whom were under
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: age when they were allegedly abused by him. This time around,
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: there are multiple pieces of evidence, including VHS tapes that
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: appear to show are Kelly and a young girl, both
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: of whom make repeated references to her fourteen year old
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: body parts the videos. But yeah, this is this is horrible, horrible, horrible.
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: The video appears to have been made in let's say,
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: nineteen ninety nine to two thousand, somewhere and there. Lawyer
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: Michael Avnetti says he has acquired a second tape that
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: he's submitting to prosecutors and is working on acquiring a third.
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: So my question is this because I really want to know.
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: So there's like on crimes like this, there's no I
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: don't want Yeah, that's that's not that's amazing. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: Our Kelly's lawyer is Stephen Greenberg. He suggested that his
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: accusers are just looking for a pay day and claim
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: that consent isn't an issue for a rock star like
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: R Kelly. Well, he out of his mind had child.
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: What payday could you possibly be looking for If you
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: don't have a hundred thousand dollars to get yourself out
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: of jail for three days and you've been in the
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: business as long as him, I'm pretty sure there's no
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: money nowhere. I don't know. Ye can't give consent right period?
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: You know? Oh whoa wall calling his lawyer saying what
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: his lawyer said. What I just said. Our Kelly's lawyer.
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: His name is Steve Greenberg. Steve. He suggested that Kelly's
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: accusers are just looking for a pay day and claim
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: that consent isn't an issue for a rock star like
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: Robert Kelly. Now, see isn't an issue. So what is
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: he saying that he could have had anybody he wanted? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: pretty much. What does he mean by that? Pretty pretty much? Yeah,
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: that's what he's saying. Well, okay, cool, if you can
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: have anybody you won't, then what is the kids about?
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: That's what he wants. That is what he wants. It's
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: also been reported Steve that r Kelly has had numerous
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: financial problems, including unpaid rent and six figures old in
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: child support. One more thing. Since Surviving r Kelly aired
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: last month, he's being investigated in three different states and
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: by the FEDS for a wide range of alleged crimes,
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: including sex trafficking. I don't, I don't. I don't see
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: this working out. Man. No, it's not going and we
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: don't want it to. I mean, you know so, I
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: think I think man is all all he can do.
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: And they got evidence. They're not. Hey, man, when all
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: these people start coming forward, they got an evidence, man,
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: just du Yeah, and R. Kelly is due back in
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: court on March twenty second. All right, we'll keep you
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: posted on that story, of course, coming up next to
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: our last break of the day and Steve Harvey's closing
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: remarks right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve. Here
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: we are last break of the day on this Tuesday.
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: Time to get out of here and you got to
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: go to work, so leave us with some closing remarks. Okay,
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: my remarks today. I'm pretty sure I've done this before,
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: but it kind of really really hit home with me.
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: Early this morning, I was up doing my meditation. I
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: try to get it in every morning. I don't always
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: get it in, but I try to get my morning
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: meditation in. I sit down, I read my scriptures that
- 1:33:43Speaker 1: help me get through the day, and somebody on my
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: job gaving me a leather bounder with a lot of
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: devotionals for the day, and so it's really been helpful
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: to me. But today it kind to really hit home, man,
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: because it caused me to sit down and jot a
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: bunch of stuff down, and I want to just share
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: with you what I did this morning, because you know,
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: I was reading and it was reminding me that. And
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: as I've talked to you about this before about gratitude,
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: how important a principle of success that gratitude actually is.
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: Gratitude is a major principle of success because the more
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: you're grateful for, the more He will give you to
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: be grateful for. So in my reading this morning, I
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: gotta remember it best I can, but I'm gonna share
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: it with you. He was God wants us to thank
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: him for all of his blessings all along the way.
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: I mean, even when you're going through stuff. He wants
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: you to show your gratitude. As I said, gratitude is
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: one of the major principles of success. God wants to
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: hear you be grateful for the things He's done in
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: your life. He wants you to thank him for the
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: things He's done to you all along the way. Because,
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: as I remember what I was reading this morning, when
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: you do that, it brings joy to both you and Him.
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: I mean, it brings joy to you and to God.
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: But man, do you know how helpful it is when
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: you're thankful all along the way. And you know why, man,
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: because when you show gratitude, when you're grateful, it protects
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: you from negative thinking. Did you hear what I said?
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: Listen to me, everybody. When you show gratitude on a
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: regular basis, especially at the start of the day and
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: throughout the day, even when stuff is going wrong, the
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: more you can show gratitude when you're grateful, a grateful
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: heart protects you from negative thinking and being thankful it
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: enables you to see the abundance that you've been showered
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: from God. So what I did this morning was I
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: just sat down, grabbed a blank piece of paper and
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: a pen and just start writing down a list of
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: things I was grateful for. Let me see three six nine,
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: twelve fifteen. I jotted down about thirty three thirty six
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: things that I was grateful for to day. Could be
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: a little bit more than this. I'm just glancing at
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: a paper taking there and I just went down. It
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: just stuff, man, that I was grateful for. And you
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: know what it did. It did exactly what I was reading.
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: It eradicated any negative thoughts that could have possibly invaded
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: my space in my mind. Because you know, like I've
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: said before, joy and depression cannot reside in the same space.
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: So think about that. Man, If you show gratitude, it
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: protects you from having negative thinking, because just just do it, y'all.
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: Try it. Just jot down on a piece of paper
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: things that you think that you have to be grateful for,
- 1:37:22Speaker 1: and just real quick, ain't gotta be neat. Just scratch it.
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: Scratch it down. For the people in your life, for
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: the things that's happening, for some controversy you survive. For
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: the things you have in your life, your home, for
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: your reputation, for projects you're working on, for things that
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: you see unfolding that you had hoped would come true
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: one day. For the respect you have on your job,
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: through your family. For people who come up to you
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: and say, man, if it wasn't for you, man, i
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: don't know what i'd of did. Thank you for the
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: clothes you have, for your ability to walk, your health,
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: everything you come home and your lights work, you come home,
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: You gotta key, you gotta door. The's people don't got
- 1:38:10Speaker 1: no way to go. Man, write everything down that you
- 1:38:14Speaker 1: can be grateful for. If you do that this morning,
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: what happens is it causes you to surround yourself with
- 1:38:28Speaker 1: a coding, a coding a protective layer around your mind
- 1:38:35Speaker 1: that protects you from having negative thoughts. It's hard to
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: be grateful and negative at the same time. It's very hard, man.
- 1:38:44Speaker 1: I dare you to try it, and throughout the day,
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: pull your paper out and read it. Before you go
- 1:38:53Speaker 1: to bed. At night, pull your paper out and read it.
- 1:38:56Speaker 1: If you think of something else, add that to your paper.
- 1:38:59Speaker 1: Just throughout the That's just a little exercise. Just do it.
- 1:39:03Speaker 1: It is amazing what it does. It puts a coding
- 1:39:07Speaker 1: around your mind that protects you from negative thinking. Gratitude
- 1:39:13Speaker 1: is a major principle of success. And I've just given
- 1:39:16Speaker 1: you the example of how it works. But it does work.
- 1:39:20Speaker 1: You can believe that. Those are my remarks. That's it,
- 1:39:23Speaker 1: all right, drop it, baby, drop it. It really is.
- 1:39:31Speaker 1: I did it this morning before I came to work.
- 1:39:33Speaker 1: I just jotted a bunch of stuff down that I
- 1:39:35Speaker 1: was grateful for and I just kept it and immediately
- 1:39:38Speaker 1: it formed a coating around my mind. I had no
- 1:39:41Speaker 1: negative thoughts because especially in the morning. Man, it's important
- 1:39:45Speaker 1: that you get off to a good start in the morning,
- 1:39:47Speaker 1: because sometimes you wake up the negative thoughts company and
- 1:39:49Speaker 1: what all you got to do? What all happened. What
- 1:39:51Speaker 1: you got to deal with? It gets in the way,
- 1:39:53Speaker 1: And I got one more thought for y'all to have
- 1:39:56Speaker 1: a nice weekend day? Was I in your thirties? For
