- 0:00Alright everybody, welcome back to the Buckposter Season 5 where we talk about anything and everything hockey.
- 0:11I am Jeff Fall about my 3rd coast of tonight.
- 0:152, 3.
- 0:16Whoa, counting me.
- 0:17Oh, Otis.
- 0:18I noticed.
- 0:19Oh, that's right.
- 0:20Our unofficial, official mascot.
- 0:23Right, Otis?
- 0:24He's about to go in that time, so.
- 0:26Yep.
- 0:27Alright.
- 0:28Welcome back.
- 0:29Yep.
- 0:30Bit of a friggin' mate than ever, right?
- 0:32Yeah, kind of a little later than normal, but that's okay.
- 0:35No stuff behind the scenes that you haven't been able to all get in the studio, but you know, life happens.
- 0:42Yep.
- 0:43It does, in fact.
- 0:44Life does happen, whether we wanted to or not.
- 0:46So it's gonna be happening here in a big way here.
- 0:49A couple weeks.
- 0:50About 3 weeks now.
- 0:51Yeah, yeah.
- 0:52I was talking to your mom about it.
- 0:54I worked today.
- 0:55Ethan, you know.
- 0:57Yeah, that's exciting.
- 1:00Everyone's, you know, I was just gonna say, summery now.
- 1:04Anything eventful, anything notable?
- 1:06Not walking off.
- 1:07Very busy.
- 1:08Very busy.
- 1:09Did a couple fun things.
- 1:11Like, went to a race, NASCAR race a couple weeks ago.
- 1:15Oh yeah, you were up and walking.
- 1:17Walking.
- 1:18That was fun.
- 1:20Very big track, but like it, it's really nice.
- 1:24I think I still, what's nice about walking, it's at least semi-close to Erie, so it's
- 1:31kind of, so you can take a day trip up there and come back.
- 1:34What is it?
- 1:35It's only three or four hours drive.
- 1:36It's about three and a half, four.
- 1:38Okay.
- 1:39I mean, it's still not bad.
- 1:41Well, initially I stayed the night there, my mom and I, because we were gonna initially
- 1:44plan to go to the state park.
- 1:46That's literally right in town there.
- 1:48But we decided last minute not to.
- 1:52Which will maybe next time I'll have to just take a week and a day off trip up there.
- 1:57Yeah, get a negative Airbnb and go up.
- 1:59Yeah.
- 2:00You know, actually enjoy it.
- 2:01You know, you have a place to go that's in town.
- 2:04Yeah.
- 2:05Like, walking is going itself, it's like literally right the town itself.
- 2:10It's literally right off of the lake, a little lake that they have right there.
- 2:14It gets a little town, but it's like really, really beautiful.
- 2:18Like, it kind of, like parts of it reminds me of Pittsburgh.
- 2:21Yeah, three hours and 15 minutes from here.
- 2:24Oh, from studio.
- 2:25All right.
- 2:26That's not bad.
- 2:27Yeah, it's not bad at all.
- 2:28I can make it 230.
- 2:29Oh, easy.
- 2:30Easily.
- 2:31Yeah.
- 2:32But if I had my ADT car, I can make it there in around two.
- 2:36Yeah, but yeah, walking that was a lot of fun.
- 2:39I think it'd be fun for just, even if all of us went one time, they'd just at least experience
- 2:47it.
- 2:48I think it'd be pretty cool.
- 2:49I've never actually been to an NASCAR race.
- 2:52I've been to a couple of drag racing events, but I've never.
- 2:56I'm hoping to maybe go some world of outlaws on races here in the coming couple of years.
- 3:03I've been really getting into the dirt racing scene and that.
- 3:09Those motherfuckers are crazy.
- 3:12They're the same.
- 3:14But yeah, that was fun.
- 3:16And then, obviously, went to a bunch of local Seawolf baseball teams, which back to back
- 3:24champions, let's go.
- 3:26And then, first Steelers game I went to was pretty fun.
- 3:32Other than that, just busy with work.
- 3:37Yeah.
- 3:38How about you guys?
- 3:40Well, it's just been a lot of planning for shit.
- 3:46We had the bachelor party a few weeks back.
- 3:51It's been over a month, Ethan.
- 3:53Has it been over a month?
- 3:54That's from full week of August.
- 3:56That's right.
- 3:57Yeah, because, yeah.
- 3:58I thought it was the end of September, that we went.
- 4:01No, because I remember I took the, I took the,
- 4:04Yeah, so it's been about six weeks.
- 4:06I took that the Wednesday through Sunday off.
- 4:10The Wednesday prior, it's the Sunday off.
- 4:14So it's end of August.
- 4:16That's full weekend, which is, it's seriously been that long.
- 4:21Holy shit.
- 4:22Yeah.
- 4:23That's just how time is flying.
- 4:26We had that.
- 4:27That was fun.
- 4:29I still have scars.
- 4:31From the welts of, yeah, my gosh.
- 4:34I still genuinely have like actual fucking scars on my arms.
- 4:39I'm not surprised.
- 4:40I wonder if John has still has the scars on his knuckles for me.
- 4:43He does.
- 4:44At least the one on the, on his left hand, he has the scar on his knuckle.
- 4:49Oh my gosh.
- 4:51But, yeah.
- 4:53When you got, hey, if anybody watches our show, plays airsoft,
- 4:56just remember wear gloves.
- 4:58Yeah.
- 4:59I know the hard way because not wear gloves and wear a plate carrier at the
- 5:03least.
- 5:04Yeah.
- 5:05Cause I've worn non-glaze and getting a hit in the fingers hurts.
- 5:09Sucks.
- 5:10That sucks.
- 5:11Oh my gosh.
- 5:13But, you know, and that Ethan said big, big date for him coming up here.
- 5:18You know, well, it's a few weeks, I'll be a few weeks.
- 5:21I'll be getting married.
- 5:23You're going to put her, you're going to be put a ring on that.
- 5:27I still think it's funny that Jake and I have a wedding on the same day.
- 5:30I know.
- 5:32It's, it's weird.
- 5:34But.
- 5:35Yeah.
- 5:36Cause he, I remember he messaged me not too long ago saying,
- 5:40bro, when's your wedding?
- 5:42And I'm like, oh, it's the 20th, it's the end of October.
- 5:46He's like, yeah, funny thing.
- 5:50Our wedding's the exact same day.
- 5:53I'm like, cool.
- 5:56I think him and Kyle end up talking about it there for a hot minute.
- 6:00So, yeah.
- 6:04Another way to my closest friends are gay marries.
- 6:09Within the next couple of weeks, that's kind of awesome.
- 6:14Yeah, that's exciting.
- 6:17We're all getting old.
- 6:19I'll tell you what, man, if you told me that I was going to be ending this year.
- 6:23I'm married, man.
- 6:25I'm married, man.
- 6:27I would have quite believed it.
- 6:30But here we are.
- 6:34All right, mom.
- 6:36Let's get into it, gents.
- 6:37Yeah.
- 6:38So first thing's first, like we always do, let's go into news around the OHL.
- 6:45Go ahead, Jeffy.
- 6:46First and foremost, we'll start, cause we are a couple weeks behind, at least a week.
- 6:53Oh, let's see.
- 6:55One thing we will get into at the end, we're going to talk about doing standings.
- 7:00So we'll get to that in a few minutes.
- 7:05Setter, we'll bring him up.
- 7:07Back on September 25th, OHL's first in the 2024 draft, OHL's first overall Ethan got tellets of the Windsor Spitfire,
- 7:19gets his first OHL point off in the Antony, Chris, Chris DeFarro, first sat in the Savanna Spirit.
- 7:28And then as of September 27th, and these are all in September 27th, Beckham Edwards of the Sonia Stink,
- 7:37gets his first career at OHL Gold versus the Windsor Spitfire.
- 7:41And then Passmore of the Barry Colts gets his first career at OHL Gold versus the Sudbury Wolves.
- 7:48Andre Lushenko of the Niagara Ice Dogs gets his first career at OHL Gold versus the Ottawa 67s.
- 7:58Kristin Epperson of the Savanna Spirit gets his first career at OHL Gold versus Sudbury Wolves.
- 8:04And then David Holub, Carson Andrew, and Brady Smith of the Sudbury Grounds all get their first career at Gold in that same game.
- 8:14Daniel Taurov and Alex McClayne of the Gulf Storm get their first career at OHL Gold versus the Olin-Sanatac.
- 8:24And then Pierce Bayou of the Olin-Sanatac gets his first career at Gold in that same game.
- 8:32And then Captain Porter Maraton, the projected first overall in the NHL draft this year,
- 8:40of the Brampton Steelheads gets his first goal since March 29th of 2013 in Brampton against the Bramford Bulldogs.
- 8:52Jack Ivan Kovic of the Bramford Steelheads gets his second career shot in the 21 season, a 7-0 victory.
- 9:04You mean the Mississauga Steelheads, right?
- 9:07Yeah, it's still gonna... What's one thing that's actually kind of funny about Brampton is that after the game against Erie the following night,
- 9:21for God or someone else, even Stan Buller say he's still calling them Mississaugas.
- 9:28He's like, I coached in Brampton when they were with the North Bay Battalion.
- 9:32And North Bay was up there, so he's like, Brampton's gonna... Well, he's like, Mississauga's gonna be always where the Steelheads are from.
- 9:41Which I thought that comment was kind of funny for me.
- 9:44I understand why they moved it just, you know, I'm sorry, it's always gonna be Mississauga.
- 9:50Yeah.
- 9:51Like, end of the day.
- 9:53And then getting Brampton and Bramford next up, that's just gonna be hard all year, honestly.
- 10:00That's what she said.
- 10:02She hit it again.
- 10:04Look, Marelli of the Ostrich General gets his 100th career Ojo point versus Kingston Frontnecks.
- 10:13Noah Arrolin of the Erie Otters gets his first career Ojo win in a 32 of 34 shots and a 5-2 victory against the Kitchener Rangers.
- 10:24He looks really good so far.
- 10:26Who is this?
- 10:28The new gold tender for Erie, Noah Arrolin from Sweden.
- 10:33Oh, yeah.
- 10:34The big...
- 10:35The sweet.
- 10:36Yeah.
- 10:37He's looked pretty good so far.
- 10:40Brampton I kind of understood why they just got blown out, just because I figured Brampton was gonna be really good.
- 10:51And then as of September 28th, Ethan Petelis of the Windsor Spitfire gets his first career Ojo goal and it's slashed his first multi-goal slash point versus the Kitchener Rangers.
- 11:05And he also got a hat-trick in that game, so his first career hat-trick.
- 11:09Oh, sweet.
- 11:10Ethan Garden and Jean-Christophe Lemieux of the Windsor Spitfire get their first career Ojo goal.
- 11:20Blake, Errolsneth, and Reem van Boelmo of the London Knights get their first career Ojo goal versus the Flunth Firebirds.
- 11:30Alex Medelideth of the London Knights in a 33 saves gets his first career win in a 5-2 victory versus the Flunth Firebirds.
- 11:41In that same game, Ryan Filinger of the Flunth Firebirds gets his first career Ojo goal.
- 11:50Sudbury Wolves head coach, Scotch, Bernie gets his first career win as head coach versus Sue Greyhound.
- 11:55She's a Bernie.
- 11:57Blake Clayton of the Sudbury Wolves gets his first career goal.
- 12:04Eric Moxlow of the Sue Greyhound gets his first career Ojo goal.
- 12:10Charlie Lucario of the North of Italian in a 23 saves gets his first career win in a 4-1 victory against the Berrikes Colts.
- 12:22September 30th, Max Crete of the Niagara Ice Fox gets his first career goal versus Kingston Frontenac.
- 12:31Brooks Rogoski of the Ostriches General gets his first career Ojo point off of a Tristan DeSellie goal.
- 12:39Against the Ottawa 67.
- 12:42Qon the Exelcon of the Ottawa 67 gets his first career Ojo point off of a Will Geer goal in that game.
- 12:53Philip Eckberg of the Ottawa 67 gets his first career Ojo goal.
- 13:01Dallas Stars prospect, Emil Heming of the Berrikes Colts gets his first career Ojo goal versus the Brampton Steelheads.
- 13:12Joey Cazzano of the Windsor Spitfire gets his second career shot in a 27 saves versus Sue Greyhound in a 5-0 victory.
- 13:23With that shot it gives the Windsor Spitfire their 100th shot out in their franchise.
- 13:31October 4th, Noah Abaflan of the London Knights gets his first career Ojo goal versus the Euryodders.
- 13:42Cameron Cadorna of the Sue Greyhounds gets his first career Ojo goal versus the Wall Storm.
- 13:51Hudson Chichirani of the Subbury Wolves gets his first career Ojo goal versus Peterborough Peats.
- 13:59Calgary Flames prospect, Jacob Tangela gets his 100th career Ojo point.
- 14:07Pittsburgh Penguins prospect, Emil Penenemi of the Kingston Frontenacs gets his first career Ojo goal versus the North Bay Battalion.
- 14:19Then in October 6th, Evan Mullet of the Sonia Stink gets his first career Ojo win in the 19 saves in a 2-1 victory versus the Berrikes Colts.
- 14:36I have that one right at the real look who they played.
- 14:40Lars Sonavi of the Oshawa Generals gets his first career Ojo goal versus the Berrikes Colts.
- 14:49Then with Sonia they played Sue today so they beat Sue.
- 14:59Then one thing I think we're all very excited cannot wait for as of recording and as this episode releases tomorrow, 95 days to Connor McDean gets his official number 97 retired by the Euryodders.
- 15:17Finally up on the rafters of the EIA.
- 15:22He'll become the third number retired by the Otters on Brad Boyce's number 16 and then Vincent Scott's number 18.
- 15:35That's honestly very exciting.
- 15:37The Otters came out with a statement like, and actually it was funny when they announced it yesterday on September 5th.
- 15:54Today was the 13th anniversary of McDean's first goal at the EIA.
- 16:10Which is crazy how everything lines up.
- 16:1213 years to the day of his first goal, 97 days away from his jersey being retired.
- 16:20Not only that, but looking at the NHL schedule, McDean will play in Pittsburgh on January 9th and he'll play in Chicago on January 11th.
- 16:30So he will make a pit stop at Eury for that night before he heads over to Chicago.
- 16:35Which would be a cool thing to see.
- 16:37Obviously McDean made a comment in both Jim Waters and Dave Brown.
- 16:43They said in a comment, like this is from McDean.
- 16:50I chose to wear number 97 when I was 7 years old because that's the year I was born.
- 16:53At the time I had no idea picking that number would become such a big part of me.
- 16:58Never.
- 16:59Not in my wildest dreams did I think it would hang in the rafters forever.
- 17:03I want to thank the Eury Otters organization for their incredible honor and also thanks to all my former teammates and all the Otters fans.
- 17:12So it's going to be very...
- 17:15He's only 7 months older than what I am.
- 17:18He was born January 13th in 97.
- 17:21So he'll be celebrating his 20th just right after he...
- 17:24Right before his turn 28.
- 17:27Yeah, he'll be turning 28 right after his jersey.
- 17:30He's retired so I think it's kind of honestly an exciting weekend for him.
- 17:35Like not only getting to play some multiple games but...
- 17:38And at this point he's going to be over a thousand points.
- 17:42If he continues to play the way that he's played the past couple of seasons, he hands down will be over...
- 17:47Again, assuming that he stays healthy during the season.
- 17:51He would have been a lot closer if he didn't get injured his rookie season.
- 17:56Injured in those two shortened seasons in 1920 and 2021.
- 18:01He definitely would have hit it by middle of last season.
- 18:05Yeah.
- 18:06At that point.
- 18:07Yeah, honestly, it's very well deserved.
- 18:10I think not just only as...
- 18:13We obviously think we'll brag about it.
- 18:16Like seeing him get to see this kid play for our team.
- 18:21Coming in at 15 and now...
- 18:24Look at him now.
- 18:25Like he's one of the biggest...
- 18:28I mean, he's the face of the NHL.
- 18:30Yeah.
- 18:31I mean...
- 18:33Excuse me.
- 18:35We saw him play every single night for at most 20 bucks.
- 18:40Watching him play in the minors for at most 20 bucks, night in and night out, to see this kid perform miracles.
- 18:46Miracles are nice per se.
- 18:48And it's a bragging right now.
- 18:51Oh yeah, absolutely.
- 18:52I know we're going to keep bragging about it.
- 18:56I know.
- 18:58But I think we have the right to just the fact that...
- 19:02Every single night, every single week for three years, we got to just watch him play for our team.
- 19:10And I think we're very fortunate and very lucky to watch me David.
- 19:16Not only grow as a person, but just as a player as well.
- 19:21That was...
- 19:23When I was in the Army, that was because my unit was right down outside of Pittsburgh.
- 19:28And so a lot of them were hockey fans.
- 19:33And that was one of my bragging rights was...
- 19:38I remember getting to see McDavid play for less than 20 bucks.
- 19:42I remember living one night at some Tampa there for a while.
- 19:46And obviously I worked and I lived with a bunch of lightning fans.
- 19:51And I'd been the only fan of Pittsburgh, you know.
- 19:54Being the odd man out, but the one thing I had to leg up on that was, again, seeing McDavid live in the flesh and womb of him.
- 20:03When he was a kid.
- 20:04When he was a kid.
- 20:05Again, under 20 bucks.
- 20:07All 20 bucks USD.
- 20:10For those of you who don't live in country, in the States.
- 20:15But it's just...
- 20:16What the hell is wrong with you?
- 20:18Actually, I don't blame it for not being in the States at this current point in time.
- 20:23Rick, I don't blame you either.
- 20:25I know as we get closer to his Jersey retirement, there will be...
- 20:30I know we'll be talking as it gets closer and closer.
- 20:33Because I know we're all very excited for it.
- 20:36But they already brought up that there will be doing a lot of giveaways, like special memorabilia stuff leading up to his...
- 20:47They already mentioned the odders will be wearing specialty warm-up jerseys of the McDavid era.
- 20:54So it's actually something similar what I'm actually wearing.
- 20:58They need to bring that one back.
- 21:00I would say, I'd definitely say it's a throwback, like alternate.
- 21:03Like, I personally think if they don't were to go not rebrand back to these colors, at least have it as a throwback, like throwback alternate.
- 21:13So obviously, they have to retire one of...
- 21:17More likely, excuse me, the silver jerseys of which I would assume that probably the one that would go.
- 21:25I would replace that one with a retro version of what I'm wearing.
- 21:31No, the kids like jerseys, bro.
- 21:33The kids take over jerseys.
- 21:37Yeah, no thanks. I'll take a hard pass on that.
- 21:40Don't let Colin fool you. He's got a closet of them.
- 21:45That's not jerseys.
- 21:48Fuck. You bum.
- 21:50That was a heavy F.
- 21:52I was actually just saying, I'm going to drop the F bomb.
- 21:56Keep it down.
- 21:58Keep it down.
- 22:00Fucker.
- 22:02Give him all the time there.
- 22:04Right.
- 22:07Yeah, I think that's all we have for now.
- 22:11For when it comes to McDavid in the year, I think we'll, as the...
- 22:16It will be something we talk about as we get closer to retirement.
- 22:23So I think we have some, I think we're all definitely excited for it.
- 22:28But as for the auditors, they've had a pretty good start so far.
- 22:33Like, split both weekends.
- 22:36They're two and two.
- 22:38Right now in the Midwestern vision, they're tied for first.
- 22:42Well, Grolf has the tiebreaker because they have a game in hand.
- 22:46But we're technically tied for first in the Midwest.
- 22:49We are sixth in the conference.
- 22:54And 12th in the league.
- 22:56Or we're tied for 10th in the league. Sorry.
- 23:00Yeah, they're, I would say, so far they've looked really good.
- 23:04Branton was the only one I saw, what I feared.
- 23:08That was probably the toughest one, was the third weakest game.
- 23:13But obviously with Branton being a really stacked team,
- 23:17with all their additions added in the offseason,
- 23:22Noah Erlen looked really good.
- 23:27Obviously, Kerry Terrance, Sanofano.
- 23:33That fear, Len?
- 23:35Once Eddie got healthy?
- 23:37They seemed like they haven't lost a beat since the postseason.
- 23:45Speaking of Branton, they just lost nine or it's like seven to three.
- 23:52And I know they had Jacob Gibbons in tonight as well.
- 23:56So that was kind of...
- 23:58Yeah, he gave up what? Five goals of 21 shots or something like that?
- 24:02Yeah.
- 24:04Which is kind of embarrassing, but I mean, I'm not going to ask the price to give you.
- 24:08I definitely seem like the kind of player, the goaltender he was.
- 24:12Good person, but not a good goaltender. Not at all.
- 24:17We still have Bernzee though, don't we?
- 24:19Yeah.
- 24:20Bernzee's our number two.
- 24:21He had his first start last night against that.
- 24:24Because I remember the last time I went and saw him play.
- 24:26Dude, he was a fucking stud.
- 24:31His first start was last night against Saddam.
- 24:34I mean, he was for what?
- 24:36For everything that Saddam did last night.
- 24:40It was just hard to get past.
- 24:43They seemed like everything was going in for Saddam almost.
- 24:48It's nothing.
- 24:49He played great.
- 24:51It just seemed like it was just unfortunate.
- 24:54Nice shots and that.
- 24:56Yeah, and we just like Branton at the home opener.
- 25:00We just, you know, in Oki, he was hot that night.
- 25:04We ran into a really hot goaltender.
- 25:06Yeah, Jack I have a COVID guy fair in which he,
- 25:09I fair, I knew once he was starting,
- 25:12like I knew he was going to be an issue
- 25:15and like for the audience and that.
- 25:18Yeah, so, I mean, it is still a good show.
- 25:22It just, we came out and losing it that night.
- 25:25I'll say a lot of the newer guys that have,
- 25:30they're kind of making their debuts like Gabriel Frasca
- 25:34since coming over from Sarnia, he's looked really good.
- 25:38And especially with that chemistry with Spence and that,
- 25:42like he's had, I really like that a lot,
- 25:46seeing that tandem together and that so far.
- 25:51Tyler Challengers has been pretty solid.
- 25:55Like hasn't gotten his goal yet or a point yet,
- 25:57but like he's Royston, he's really, like really,
- 26:03like the gun greediness.
- 26:06Which is good.
- 26:07Going into potentially a second full season with the Otters
- 26:10as a full-timer, you know.
- 26:12That's exactly what you need, exactly what you expect out of,
- 26:16you know, as of right now, bottom six forward,
- 26:18but he has the potential of being top six.
- 26:20Maybe even top-line.
- 26:23Speaking of OHL, why don't we say we go into our predictions.
- 26:28I know the season's already started, but you know.
- 26:33Alright, don't worry.
- 26:34Yeah, this is something new we decided we were going to do this year.
- 26:38We were going to look at, like, where we think teams are going to be sitting at,
- 26:44by the time we begin the...
- 26:46Just wing it.
- 26:48You're usually pretty good at that, so.
- 26:51For the OHL.
- 26:53Yeah.
- 26:54Like I said, you're usually pretty good at that.
- 26:56You're not like other members in the studio, you know.
- 27:00I think for the OHL we will start in the East just because I think the West is...
- 27:06We like the West, I think, is the best.
- 27:09But why don't you start calling?
- 27:13Sure.
- 27:14So, I'll go bottom top in 14th place, I have the Niagara Icehawks.
- 27:1913 through 10, I got nobody.
- 27:23Hot takes here.
- 27:25Number nine, the Steelheads from Brampton.
- 27:28Brampton Steelheads, not the Mississaugas.
- 27:31Brampton.
- 27:32Eighth place, North Bay, seventh place, you got the 67ers.
- 27:35Sixth place, you got Kingsley in front next.
- 27:38Fifth place, the Varycults.
- 27:40Number four, you got the Oshawa Generals.
- 27:43Number three, Sudbury.
- 27:46Number two, the Peter O'Varreau Peets.
- 27:48And number one at top, you got the Bramford Bulldogs.
- 27:52Okay.
- 27:53Which, unfortunately, I think the East is the weaker one of the two conferences.
- 27:57I agree.
- 27:58I think the West is a lot tougher and just...
- 28:01You got your top six or seven teams at West.
- 28:03That could be your top ten in the league.
- 28:06The only one I'm a little surprised with your hot take is Brampton and I know...
- 28:11If there are anything like last season that will get off to a great start,
- 28:15you know, we'd be still.
- 28:18And then once the season progresses, maybe once we get into the holiday season
- 28:21and into the new calendar year,
- 28:24you know, I feel like that's when they're going to start kind of slipping up and do some production.
- 28:28Are there really only ten teams at these conferences?
- 28:30Yeah.
- 28:31Yeah, it's a twenty-two maybe.
- 28:32And others have been rumors of potential expansions in the coming years.
- 28:38Just where though?
- 28:39Well, it'd be nice to have another fucking US team.
- 28:43Yeah, I'm staying in Buffalo.
- 28:44Buffalo?
- 28:45I'm hoping Buffalo.
- 28:46I'd say either Buffalo or Rochester.
- 28:49I think Buffalo will make a lot more sense.
- 28:51Most teams usually go through...
- 28:53Or at least Eastern Conference teams.
- 28:55They already go through Buffalo when they come into the area.
- 28:58Yeah.
- 28:59Rochester, you know, you're going to come to the stateside, which is already a pain in the ass,
- 29:04you know, going across the border regardless of which way you're going up to Canada or down the stateside.
- 29:08But, you know, you don't want to spend another 90 minutes or two hours in the bus driving yourself up to Rochester.
- 29:17And then email on the way back.
- 29:19So Buffalo, I feel like that would be a smart choice if you're going to the stateside,
- 29:23or maybe even something in Michigan like a Detroit area to rival Flint's.
- 29:28But we already have two Michigan's.
- 29:30Yeah, two Michigan's.
- 29:31I would say get another one closer to...
- 29:34You got the battle over here.
- 29:36You got Niagara, London, Eurya, and then, you know, hopefully that would end.
- 29:42And then maybe another team up East, you know, Eastern Ontario, but I don't know where you can set one.
- 29:49Yeah.
- 29:50Not Mississauga again, because you saw how that is.
- 29:53Yeah, so they couldn't even bring in a thousand fans for their playoffs and that.
- 29:59A thousand of their own fans, we should say.
- 30:01Yeah.
- 30:02Because I think the majority of their fans for our routine.
- 30:05Yep.
- 30:06So we're going off of conferences here, boys.
- 30:10Yeah.
- 30:11We're going East first.
- 30:13All right.
- 30:14Eastern conference.
- 30:15Yeah.
- 30:16Obviously, number 10's got to be Niagara.
- 30:19Fuck.
- 30:20Right.
- 30:21That's just the plain and simple.
- 30:23Fuck it.
- 30:24Deal with it.
- 30:28Number nine, I'm going to go ahead and actually say probably Brampton.
- 30:37Oh, wow.
- 30:38Honestly.
- 30:39Okay.
- 30:40So that's another hot take.
- 30:42Okay.
- 30:43Yeah.
- 30:44And Brampton is going to be number nine.
- 30:47Number eight, I'll put Kingston.
- 30:51Seven.
- 30:52Seven.
- 30:53Oh, fuck.
- 30:58You know, we're going to put Barry at number seven.
- 31:09From there, we'll do Kingston at number, or I think I already said Kingston at eight.
- 31:19So number six, we'll put North Bay at six.
- 31:28Five.
- 31:29Five, I'll put Ottawa.
- 31:34I'll put Ottawa at five.
- 31:45I'm really picking your brain here, Rob.
- 31:50Well, because there's a couple of different options that I could have.
- 31:54I'm going to say Oshawa at number four.
- 32:03I'll put Bramford at three.
- 32:06I don't think I've said Sudbury yet.
- 32:10I'll put Sudbury at two, and then Peterborough at one for the conference, for the Eastern
- 32:16Conference.
- 32:17All right.
- 32:18So the Peats actually have a bounce back here.
- 32:24For me, I have Niagara at number 10.
- 32:29Even though they are on a hot streak, I don't think it's going to last by the time we get
- 32:34to the postseason.
- 32:37Second, I have the Peterville Peats.
- 32:40Eighth place, I have the Ottawa 67s.
- 32:45Seventh place, I have the Berry Colts.
- 32:48Sixth place, I have the Sudbury Wolves.
- 32:51Fifth place, I have the Kingston Fronts.
- 32:55Fourth, I have the Bramford Bulldogs.
- 32:58Third, I have the Oshawa Generals.
- 33:00Second place, I have the North Bay Battalion.
- 33:03Number one, I have the Steelheads, Brampton.
- 33:12And then I might as well start in the West.
- 33:16I have, in tenth place, I have the Gulf Storm.
- 33:24I think they are going to drop out of the playoffs this year.
- 33:29You think so?
- 33:30Oh, yeah.
- 33:32Well, last year, their biggest issue was injuries, and then, of course, just couldn't score.
- 33:39Their forwards could not score whatsoever.
- 33:44So that's actually one of my hot takes.
- 33:47The Gulf Storm do miss the playoffs.
- 33:50Ninth place, I have the Windsor Spitfire.
- 33:54They're definitely going to be much better than what they were last year.
- 33:59Sarnia, I see making it back to the playoffs.
- 34:03Eighth place, seventh place, I have the Elwinstown Attack.
- 34:09Sixth place, I have the Flint Firebirds.
- 34:12And honestly, from here on out, it can be interchangeable just because I think these five teams are going to be so competitive this year.
- 34:23But fifth place, I have the Saginaw Spirit, the Defending Memorial Cup Champions.
- 34:31Fourth place, I have the Eere Yotters.
- 34:34Third place, I have the Kitchener-Rainers.
- 34:38Second place, I have the Sue Greyhounds.
- 34:40And then number one, I have the Defending OOH Champions, the London Knights.
- 34:46Unfortunately.
- 34:48It pains me to say that.
- 34:50I do just got to get from these.
- 34:56They seem like they never have a hangover from the women's championship.
- 35:04They're just so good in that.
- 35:07They never have a hangover. They're never in a rebuild.
- 35:10They're always solid.
- 35:14Yeah.
- 35:15Alright.
- 35:17You want to go next season or?
- 35:20Yeah, sure. For the Wiest.
- 35:22Wiest? I thought you said Wiest.
- 35:26For the Wiest.
- 35:28Number ten.
- 35:31Number ten, I'm going to put Flint.
- 35:37Nine.
- 35:41Nine, I'm going to say O and sound.
- 35:44Don't think they'll finish very high this season.
- 35:47Honestly, I was really debated about putting them well this year too.
- 35:52Number eight, we are going to put Sarnia.
- 35:57Number seven, we'll put Guelph.
- 36:02Six.
- 36:06I think six is going to go to Kitchener.
- 36:13Five is going to go to Erie.
- 36:19Four, I'll say Saginaw.
- 36:26Three, I'm going to put Windsor.
- 36:38I'm going to jump from Las Pais in the lead to third in the west.
- 36:44I'm going to say Windsor is going to have a little bit of a bounce back.
- 36:47But that means number two, I'm going to put the Sue Gray.
- 36:53I know it's a little bit of a shot, but I can't talk shit and you'll see why when I do one.
- 37:01Number one, yeah, it hurts me to say the Londonites.
- 37:11For mine, you can do a three, four, three.
- 37:15Anyone of these three groups can bounce back and forth between their respective statements.
- 37:21The bottom three will be Guelph, Sarnia, and Windsor.
- 37:27They'll be closed. The west came down to the last couple of games there last year.
- 37:34I feel like that last box is like a hey, that last game or two, last couple of days there,
- 37:42win it in your aim, lose it out.
- 37:45The only one that wasn't no more close was Windsor last year.
- 37:49Yeah, they had a shit ear last year.
- 37:52They were so bad.
- 37:53Yeah, they were last in the league last year.
- 37:56They had lost, I think, 15 for 17 games, if I remember correctly.
- 38:02Now these things, obviously, you can flip just depending on debates and everything.
- 38:11You got from seven to four, Flint's, Owen Sound, Kitchener, and Erie.
- 38:18I know last year, it was for a while, three through six, and then four through six,
- 38:26we're all juggling and whatever.
- 38:30And then these last three, out for debate, I think one's more firm, but two or three, debating.
- 38:36I'm guessing London's the pretty firm.
- 38:39Yeah, London's the pretty firm number one.
- 38:42I got Saginaw two and Sue three.
- 38:45Those are up for debate, obviously, depending on how they come out of the season,
- 38:51how strong they are, if they fall, they fall down wherever I think.
- 38:57They have the potential on paper.
- 39:00They tend to be pretty strong teams.
- 39:02Well, just like my one T-shirt says, fucking Buffalo Hockey's good on paper.
- 39:08I still like that shirt.
- 39:10I love that shirt.
- 39:11I'm so happy you picked that up when we were on Buffalo Hockey.
- 39:15Do you want to know something crazy?
- 39:17I got that shirt almost four years ago now, because that was just before I deployed.
- 39:23No. Was it serious that long ago?
- 39:27Yeah, I left Erie at the end of 2020.
- 39:34Erie, end of 2021, and I was going from the end of 2021 to almost the end of,
- 39:42actually around this time of 2022.
- 39:44Yeah.
- 39:47So yeah, it's been almost four years.
- 39:50We got to make another trip up to Buffalo.
- 39:52Yeah, we do.
- 39:53Another just random, hey, let's go to the Buffalo State.
- 39:56Fuck yeah, we do.
- 39:57And I've been out for almost two years now.
- 40:00Yeah, you're right.
- 40:02You are right.
- 40:04Oh, I know I'm right, because I keep getting fucking phone calls.
- 40:07Hey, we'll give you this much money.
- 40:09And I'm like, hey, I'll give you a foot up the fucking ass.
- 40:15All right, let's jump over to NHL News.
- 40:21I'm trying to think of how they do the French and Montreal.
- 40:25I don't know.
- 40:26I can't remember.
- 40:27You guys want to start with free agents here, big free agent signings.
- 40:31For the out season that are notable.
- 40:34Yeah, hold on.
- 40:38I'm trying to see it go based off the teams here.
- 40:51I'll say Anaheim didn't really do anything this major.
- 41:02Boston.
- 41:03I mean, we had Anthony Mantis on to one year with Calgary, which that fucking hurt me very
- 41:15significantly, because Calgary is where careers go to die.
- 41:19Look at Huberdo.
- 41:21I hate to say it, but look at Huberdo.
- 41:25Same with good old fucking Booger Sugar to his nets off.
- 41:29He's over in the cage on right now.
- 41:33Yeah, but before he left, he signed it one year with Calgary.
- 41:39Yeah, I don't know why my nose is so running now.
- 41:44Oh my God, never mind.
- 41:48I'm trying to see it.
- 41:52Jason Zucker signed with a one year contract with the sabers.
- 41:59Tyson Yoast signed it one year with the Hurricanes.
- 42:03Same with Jack Roslovic, Martin Nicos, and Jack Derrory too.
- 42:17I mean, Krebs also re-signed a two year contract with the sabers.
- 42:21Luca Peccalucanen signed a five year with the sabers.
- 42:27Luke!
- 42:28James Reimer, he signed a one year with the sabers.
- 42:35Tubo Taravainen and Tyler Bertuzzi both signed with the Chicago.
- 42:42Again, I know the face of a career is go to die.
- 42:46Yeah, that's no fucking joke.
- 42:51And nothing really had to do with Colorado.
- 42:54Colorado has a pretty strong team.
- 42:57I mean, once Nuschen comes out of the player assistance and, you know,
- 43:01Mantis God gets healthy, then...
- 43:04JVR signed a one year with Columbus.
- 43:09Columbus?
- 43:15Ilya Ladooshkin signed a three year with Dallas.
- 43:20Same case, I don't know, assuming that's Casey Dismuth.
- 43:24Yeah, Casey Dismuth is now in Dallas.
- 43:28Matt Duchain.
- 43:30I'm just thinking of the song that I can't sing on air.
- 43:32Matt Dunbaugh.
- 43:34Matt Dunbaugh's.
- 43:37Fucking Magnus Helberg.
- 43:41That six to seven months.
- 43:46I'm sorry, I can't stop picturing him in that.
- 43:51The one picture I saw at one of Detroit's camps
- 43:55where they had to go and screen each other.
- 43:58No, it wasn't Detroit's camp, it was Seattle.
- 44:02It was fucking Helberg screening Grubauer.
- 44:07Grubauer's the smallest guy.
- 44:10Grubauer was my height.
- 44:12Yeah, he's the smallest guy, but Helberg's got almost a foot on him.
- 44:17He's got a full head over.
- 44:19Plus in skates.
- 44:22Yeah, well regardless of skates or not, he's got a full head over.
- 44:25Another one, Ethan, you forgot for Columbus.
- 44:29I'm Sean Monahan, signed a five year.
- 44:31And then Detroit had some big ones.
- 44:36I knew you were going to be happy about this.
- 44:39I knew it.
- 44:40Well, Camp Talbot signed a two year.
- 44:42Which that one, I honestly, I was not expecting at all.
- 44:47At fucking all.
- 44:49But I am so happy for it.
- 44:52They re-signed Lucas Raymond to an eight year.
- 44:58I'm so glad about that.
- 45:00I'm glad.
- 45:01I'm so glad about that.
- 45:02I was really surprised.
- 45:06I know he was an RFA for them, but I was surprised nobody tried fucking sniping them.
- 45:12Honestly, I was genuinely surprised he went through three 18 on the first one.
- 45:16I really like Lucas Raymond a lot.
- 45:19Well, just think, they might have, he just said, no, I want to stay here and DJ.
- 45:24So what I find interesting though is Moe is still an RFA.
- 45:29I thought they, hold on.
- 45:31No, they never re-signed him.
- 45:33At least not that I saw.
- 45:35No, they did re-sign him.
- 45:37Did they?
- 45:38Yeah.
- 45:39It just has restricted free agents.
- 45:41They did say that he, they re-signed.
- 45:43Actually, no, they never let me sign.
- 45:45And then the big one that Kyle and Colin and everybody else in the studio about me were upset with,
- 45:52Vladimir Tarasenko signs a two year with the Detroit Redlands.
- 45:59Which I know what my next year's is going to be.
- 46:03Eat my ass.
- 46:04I know the brink is good.
- 46:06And I thought it was so funny too, because I mean, he was on the cusp of signing with Pittsburgh.
- 46:12Like, he was so close to signing with Pittsburgh.
- 46:16Then of course, the fucking Heiser Plan comes back in the full effect.
- 46:22I still believe in the Heiser Plan.
- 46:24Oh, I'm a very heavy believer and very big fan of the Heiser Plan.
- 46:36Edbiton, they re-signed Connor Brown to a one year deal.
- 46:40They haven't re-signed him.
- 46:42Corey Perry re-signed with the Oilers.
- 46:44They, they did re-sign Cider.
- 46:47Oh, they did?
- 46:48Yeah, seven year, 59.85 million dollar contract which comes after 8.55 a year.
- 46:55That's so pretty fucking good.
- 46:57Yeah, back on September 19th to 24th.
- 47:00Oh, so this was only a few weeks back.
- 47:04Not even a month ago.
- 47:06That's the thing.
- 47:07So, they, they and he and Cider are staying in Detroit.
- 47:10Okay, because if he was still in RFA, I'm gonna be like, how has he not been fucking taken?
- 47:18Very young, like really good, actually very young, good defenseman in that.
- 47:23Yeah, he's freakishly young.
- 47:26Because obviously he was taken right before Jamie Drysdale was in the 2020 draft and then just a couple slots.
- 47:36I mean, Stuart Skinner, actually I'm sorry, Jeff Skinner signed a one year contract with the Oilers.
- 47:42And Adam Henrich signed a two year contract with the Oilers.
- 47:47Yeah.
- 47:48No, dude, I still can't get, I know you're gonna tell me to fuck myself and that's fine.
- 47:54I just, I still cannot believe that Terracin goes into Detroit.
- 48:00Like, I actually, I saw a picture of him wearing the fucking winged wheel.
- 48:06As much as I love it, it's fucking weird.
- 48:10I'm just taking Stammer and Nashville.
- 48:14Yeah.
- 48:15Oh, yeah, I remember when they were taking his player pictures, I was like, oh, I hate it.
- 48:20He's only good in the blue and white.
- 48:22I see he looks much better in the blue.
- 48:24I'm like, oh, I actually hate that.
- 48:26Well, it was like when fucking Bert got sent to Boston.
- 48:31Yeah.
- 48:32When Bert got sent to Boston, I was like, uh, Bert, yeah.
- 48:36And then he went from Boston to fucking Toronto and I was like, uh.
- 48:41And now he's in Chicago and he's like, ugh, ugh.
- 48:44Chicago's at least not too bad.
- 48:47The journey down that, the team is awful.
- 48:51Oh, yeah, the team's dog shit.
- 48:54I'm not, I'm not denying that the team isn't dog shit, but yeah.
- 49:02No, I just, I genuinely wonder how fucking Stevie White pulled that off.
- 49:10Like, I like, that's why.
- 49:13And that's not me trying to come at it from a point of arrogance because, oh, that's my team.
- 49:17It's, I'm genuinely fucking curious because going into free agency,
- 49:22Vlad Tarasenko was arguably the hottest free agent out of the entire free agency from this past season.
- 49:29Between him, Jake Encelo, man.
- 49:31Him, Jake Encelo, and fucking Stammer.
- 49:33But regardless of who, like, who you support, who you root for, like, that's the fucking Y's and Pail.
- 49:41That's it. That's all that comes down to.
- 49:45That's all I'd say about it.
- 49:47Yeah.
- 49:48Gosh.
- 49:50Nothing really big in Florida because they had to get rid of a lot because of overcap.
- 49:58Oh, were they?
- 49:59Yeah, that's why Tarasenko had to, was kind of, were kind of probably left.
- 50:04I guarantee you would have stayed if they weren't.
- 50:11Los Angeles, they signed Warren Fogel and another big one, Edmonton, Victor Ardruz and from, they also re-signed him.
- 50:30But Fogel has got to sign to the Kings.
- 50:38Quentin Bifill signed a five-year contract with the Kings.
- 50:43I'm kind of glad he's staying in LA.
- 50:46Yeah.
- 50:50Nothing really major in Minnesota.
- 51:07Now, there were some big ass signs for your agency this past year.
- 51:14There were a ton.
- 51:18Obviously, Stephen Stamco, then Jonathan Marchoso all signed with the Nashville Predators.
- 51:26Nashville's going to be fucking crazy this year, too.
- 51:29Well, the fact that, like, they're going to be insane.
- 51:34Oh, they're going to be.
- 51:36Honestly, I think I'm going to watch Nashville a little bit closer this year because I'm really curious to see how Stammer does with them.
- 51:44How both Stammer and Marchoso.
- 51:46I said, they got their backup on Goal 10.
- 51:49They signed Scott Wedgewood to a two-year contract.
- 51:53Oh, yeah.
- 51:54I forgot about that.
- 51:55He'll honestly more like be the backup to the Soros and then...
- 52:01Yeah, to the Jews.
- 52:03But...
- 52:09Brendan Dillon signed a contract for the...
- 52:13I'm not too thrilled with him being packed in the Metro.
- 52:16Who? Brendan Dillon?
- 52:17Yeah.
- 52:18I forgot you don't like him.
- 52:20He just was a goon with Washington in that.
- 52:24I just didn't care for...
- 52:28I was glad when he went to Winnipeg, I was like, thank God he's out of the Metro and then he's now back.
- 52:34This is okay.
- 52:35Real quick, I'm just going to slide right back in.
- 52:39Thomas Tatar signed a one-year with the Devils.
- 52:43With Choisey.
- 52:46Which I think, I honestly, I think that's good for him.
- 52:50I mean, as much as I would love to have Tommy Tats back in the Motor City, especially with all the young talent that's on Detroit now,
- 53:01I think it'd be great, but I mean, beggars can't be choosers.
- 53:06I'll support him wherever he goes.
- 53:08I always liked him when he was with Detroit.
- 53:11When he hasn't been with Detroit, I'll always support.
- 53:15The Tats.
- 53:17It's in Declare, signed a four-year contract with the New York Islanders.
- 53:22Nothing really major in the Big Apple and with the Rangers.
- 53:36Nothing really big with the Senators.
- 53:57Same thing with Buffalo.
- 53:59Honestly, the two biggest ones with Pittsburgh was, I'm by Anthony Bavillier.
- 54:17That was the one I was really happy about, Pittsburgh signing.
- 54:23And then obviously, the Islanders, Sebastian Aho.
- 54:29Defensin' Sebastian Aho?
- 54:31No?
- 54:32Yes, seriously, Defensin' Sebastian Aho.
- 54:34Really?
- 54:35They're all so freaking dumbfounded by that.
- 54:39Wait, Pittsburgh signing?
- 54:40Yeah.
- 54:41Holy fuck, I did not.
- 54:42I must have completely missed that.
- 54:46I still remember when we heard Sebastian Aho, we were like, wait, wait.
- 54:52We were all so freaking dumbfounded by it.
- 54:55How can you play for two teams in the same fucking league?
- 55:00Same league, same division.
- 55:03Can you imagine those two teams play together?
- 55:07I remember when we were born.
- 55:09Was it Islanders in Carolina?
- 55:11At the time, yeah, I was in Carolina.
- 55:14Can you imagine having to pull double duty?
- 55:17Just half and half of Jersey sewed together?
- 55:21I don't know what you would do in those situations.
- 55:26Just stand at center ice and just pass the puck to whoever.
- 55:31I remember when we fed out, Sebastian Aho coming right, which one?
- 55:36And then we were like, defense, and we were like, oh, I remember.
- 55:39We were all so freaking depressed, we were almost as heartbroken as us not signing Teresenko,
- 55:46but that's a whole different conversation.
- 55:48Yep.
- 55:49San Jose, honestly, they signed Tyler DeFoei to a four year contract with the Sharks.
- 56:18Maddie Baneer signed a seven year contract with the Seattle Kraken.
- 56:39Nothing really big in St. Louis.
- 56:42St. Louis.
- 56:44Oh yeah, St. Louis.
- 56:51Right, not too much.
- 56:54In Tampa.
- 56:56Looking Champa Bay.
- 57:02Lauda in Toronto.
- 57:04Chris Tanneth, Ekken Larson, and Max Domi all signed with the Maple Leaf.
- 57:13Matt Murray signed with the Maple Leafs to a one year.
- 57:17And now he's on waivers.
- 57:19Yep.
- 57:26Those are some of the big ones for Toronto.
- 57:36Nothing really too big in Utah.
- 57:44Jake DeBrust signed a seven year contract with the Vancouver Canucks.
- 57:51Dayton Hynan signed a two year with the Canucks.
- 57:59I still don't like the fact that DeBrust is in Vancouver.
- 58:16Ilya Samsonov, and Victor Ultersen, they signed with the Vegas Golden Knights.
- 58:25The Vegas Injurer serves?
- 58:27Yeah, pretty much.
- 58:29The Vegas Injurer serves.
- 58:31That's possible.
- 58:33You're not wrong.
- 58:35What's going to happen this year? Mark Stone is going to go back on the...
- 58:39Altair until Game 1 of the playoffs.
- 58:42Yeah, that's what's going to happen.
- 58:44Who is it?
- 58:45Mark Stone.
- 58:47He's done that every year for the past like two years, or three years.
- 58:51I mean, yeah, you're not wrong.
- 58:58Obviously, just a shout out.
- 59:00Taylor Radish is reuniting with Dylan Strome in Washington.
- 59:03He signed a one year with the Caps.
- 59:10But nothing really major.
- 59:13Conor McMichols, he's resigned with Washington.
- 59:22Oh, another one we missed in Toronto. Max Patratti, he signed with Toronto.
- 59:32Well, I guess that, you know, I guess that now he would like to leave after one round.
- 59:40That's really all the real big ones that happen in free agency.
- 59:48Now, big trades going back on August 13th.
- 59:52The Penguins acquired Cody Clabs from Nashville before Jordan Frasca, a third and 25, and a sixth in 2026.
- 1:00:01Another one on August 18th.
- 1:00:03The Sharts, the San Jose Sharts, acquired defenseman Cody Ceezy, a third round pick and 25 from the All Overs for defenseman Ty Emberson.
- 1:00:15On the 19th, we got the Canadians, acquiring Ford Patrick Linae, a second round pick in 2026 from CBJ for defenseman Jordan Harris.
- 1:00:27One day, me and you and I were talking about this at the Otters game last week.
- 1:00:33It just sucked like he was looking for a fresh start after leaving Columbus.
- 1:00:38I mean, he immediately gets hurt in Montreal.
- 1:00:41That was such a brutal hit.
- 1:00:43Yeah.
- 1:00:45I'll show you later, but like that was such a fucking brutal hit.
- 1:00:49Me on me, you can tell he sucks me out.
- 1:00:51Oh, was that the line eight hit?
- 1:00:54Yeah.
- 1:00:55I saw the still frame of his leg and I was like, four to six months on IR.
- 1:01:03I, well, how old is Linae?
- 1:01:06He's, he's not quite cross music age, right?
- 1:01:10Oh, hell no.
- 1:01:12Is he even 30?
- 1:01:14No.
- 1:01:15Really?
- 1:01:16No, he was born April 19th of 1998.
- 1:01:19What?
- 1:01:21Yeah.
- 1:01:22He's only a couple months old, but you, he was,
- 1:01:25Then I'm right here ordering me.
- 1:01:27He, remember, he was taking second overall Matthew Strath back in 2016.
- 1:01:32What?
- 1:01:34Yeah.
- 1:01:35He's young.
- 1:01:40Just the face of Ben Blizzo mid of, I,
- 1:01:44Whoa, I did not know Linae was that fucking young.
- 1:01:49He looks older than what he has.
- 1:01:51He looks old as shit.
- 1:01:52He's aged like fucking milk.
- 1:01:55Well, I, I have no room to talk shit.
- 1:01:58I hope you know, with, cause like with the facial hair,
- 1:02:00I don't think I'm in my 30s without it.
- 1:02:02I don't take him, you know, 12 years old.
- 1:02:04I mean, I can't talk shit either cause I'm the same way.
- 1:02:08But either way, like he, you are right.
- 1:02:11He does look like he's oldest, oldest fuck.
- 1:02:14He looks like he, I'll fucking build your own character in NHL, bro.
- 1:02:18I think what's stunk about Linae, like even Montreal, like every time he was touching the fuck,
- 1:02:24even in those pre-season games, like everyone was like,
- 1:02:28was hyped and now like applauding him and cheering him on.
- 1:02:32And just that tells you how excited they were to actually have.
- 1:02:36Another, a super, not, not, oh, not a super, like another superstar with the experience of, of Linae.
- 1:02:43Yeah.
- 1:02:44Yeah.
- 1:02:45I mean, yeah, I saw the still frame.
- 1:02:47I didn't watch the actual clip of the hip, but I did see the still frame of it.
- 1:02:51And I was like, oh, yeah, I'll like, like, I wouldn't wish that upon anybody in the NHL, even except Tom Wilson.
- 1:03:01Honestly, even him, like that was just fucking brutal.
- 1:03:07Oh, yeah, I'll pop the video here once we're done.
- 1:03:10But like, yeah, it was, but you could tell even just from the still frame,
- 1:03:13you could tell it was directly knee on me.
- 1:03:17Yeah, you can tell he stuck his left knee out to really fuck up Linae.
- 1:03:22Which part of me wants to say I get it, but at the same time, it's that's fucked up.
- 1:03:29Like whether you like Linae or not, that's fucked.
- 1:03:32Yeah.
- 1:03:33Like that, that's, that's something that should not be allowed.
- 1:03:38I know it's not allowed, but that's, there needs to be some pretty heavy fucking repercussions for that.
- 1:03:44Like not just a fine, like, I'm talking like potential like season and suspension.
- 1:03:52I wouldn't go that far.
- 1:03:53I mean, this is his first offense, you know, I see a couple games of suspension with the fine,
- 1:03:58but I don't imagine, I don't imagine a, and then the last big trade, I,
- 1:04:05but that was just me, that's just me spent Pauline.
- 1:04:08That's big trade.
- 1:04:09I'm August 22nd, a couple of top prospects between Pittsburgh and Winnipeg.
- 1:04:15Pittsburgh requires Rutger, Gregoria from Winnipeg, from Port LaFord, Brandon Yeager.
- 1:04:21Honestly, that's not, I mean, I know a lot there.
- 1:04:25Yeager was a bit, was a big price like one top, but I think Rukut was,
- 1:04:34is more ready than Yeager.
- 1:04:36Like he's more NHL ready compared to where Yeager, he's going to be staying with Moosh,
- 1:04:43Moosh John another year and that's, so like he's not, he's not ready to go.
- 1:04:48So honestly, I'm kind of honestly, that, that one did not I'm fine with as with that trade.
- 1:04:58All right, after that, let's finally jump into NHL standing's Pradiky Shians.
- 1:05:05So, well, this time I know we started in the East for the O, so when we started the West
- 1:05:11for the N, for the NHL, starting into Pacific Division, all good are going.
- 1:05:17Going from eight to one, I got Santa Jose, in Anaheim, Calgary, Seattle, Vancouver,
- 1:05:24Vegas, not surprised, the LA Kings and Edmonton, Trenchin on top of that division.
- 1:05:31Okay.
- 1:05:32What's the division or was there a division?
- 1:05:33The specific division.
- 1:05:35The specific division.
- 1:05:37Okay.
- 1:05:38They painted a specific ocean.
- 1:05:41I couldn't be more specific.
- 1:05:43Shut up.
- 1:05:44All right, I'll go here.
- 1:05:48If dead last, I had the San Jose Sharks, 7th place at the N, Ducks, 6th place, I had the
- 1:05:55Calgary Flames, 5th place, I have the Seattle Kraken, 4th place at the LA Kings, 3rd place
- 1:06:01of the Canucks, 2nd place, the Golden Knights, and then number one, I have the Edmonton Oilers.
- 1:06:09For the Pacific Division.
- 1:06:12Let's see.
- 1:06:14Yeah, number eight, from eight to one, I have San Jose, Seattle, Vancouver, Vegas.
- 1:06:28Yeah, really, Vegas is number five in the division.
- 1:06:35Yeah.
- 1:06:36Okay.
- 1:06:37It's a show off.
- 1:06:38Vancouver, I mean, I'm kind of surprised that Vancouver too, honestly.
- 1:06:41But I know they all surprised us last year.
- 1:06:44I'm going to say Calgary, Anaheim, Edmonton, and LA.
- 1:06:57Really, you have Anaheim in number three.
- 1:07:01Yeah.
- 1:07:02That's a hot take.
- 1:07:03Yeah.
- 1:07:04That's a hot take, but I'm going to roll with it because I'm known for making shitty hot
- 1:07:09takes.
- 1:07:11We've had five seasons of shitty Ethan Hot Takes.
- 1:07:15And all five seasons we've dissed you for it.
- 1:07:18You and Bobo.
- 1:07:20But at least with mine, I've gotten somewhat close too.
- 1:07:24Well, I'm not saying we were Bobo back in 2020, Dallas being the seventh place.
- 1:07:29Which, I mean, yeah, that was the one team out of 32 that he had.
- 1:07:35Well, I'm talking about the Central there.
- 1:07:37Yeah.
- 1:07:38Speaking of Central, that's the two of them.
- 1:07:42So Jeff, you want to start with this guy?
- 1:07:45This one?
- 1:07:46And if dead last, I have the Chicago Blackhawks.
- 1:07:49Wow.
- 1:07:50That rewrites the shock off my face.
- 1:07:52Shocker.
- 1:07:53Seventh place, I have the St. Louis Blues.
- 1:07:56Sixth place, I have the Minnesota Wild.
- 1:07:59Fifth place, I have Utah.
- 1:08:03Fourth place, I have the National Predators.
- 1:08:07Third place, I have the Winnipeg Jets.
- 1:08:11Second place, I have the Colorado Avalanche.
- 1:08:14And first place, I have the Dallas Stars.
- 1:08:19National and Winnipeg, I feel like are going to be the ones that can be honestly featured.
- 1:08:24So again, I'm just going to do all of mine, eight to one.
- 1:08:29So Chicago.
- 1:08:35And then I have the Minnesota.
- 1:08:40St. Louis.
- 1:08:44Utah.
- 1:08:51I didn't say Colorado already.
- 1:08:53Colorado.
- 1:08:56I think it was a hot take.
- 1:09:06Nashville.
- 1:09:11I got Minnesota left.
- 1:09:13You got Minnesota.
- 1:09:18Dallas, Winnipeg.
- 1:09:22I got Winnipeg and the Dallas.
- 1:09:27Having Colorado that low is honestly.
- 1:09:31Every season we do this, I expect you to be better when it comes to these hot takes.
- 1:09:35But every year you surprise me with your shitty hot takes, man.
- 1:09:38I mean, they're your hot takes and I get that.
- 1:09:41I understand.
- 1:09:43Again, we have our own opinions.
- 1:09:45I get it.
- 1:09:46I respect that.
- 1:09:47It's your own opinions.
- 1:09:49I just, I feel like with how hot Colorado, and here's my reasoning for specifically Colorado,
- 1:09:58with how hot they've been the last year or two, the last two seasons, couple seasons.
- 1:10:06Yeah, the last two or three seasons, they're bound for an off year.
- 1:10:14Like that, that momentum can't just keep fucking going.
- 1:10:18They got upset by Seattle two seasons ago and then knocked out last year.
- 1:10:26So, like they're bound for, I feel like with such the hot streak that they had, they're bound for at least two off seasons.
- 1:10:41Two rough seasons, rougher seasons.
- 1:10:44I guess that you can make the same kind of debate. I mean, look at Tampa at the beginning of the decade.
- 1:10:49They went to three straight cup finals, won the first two, lost the third ones to Colorado.
- 1:10:55Granted, they lost in the first round of the past couple of years, won to Toronto, which I'm still not happy about.
- 1:11:01And then that's the past couple of years to Florida.
- 1:11:06I think Tampa is going to be one of those teams that's going to have a little bit of an easier fucking bounce back year.
- 1:11:13Because a lot of their bigger players normally tend to stay on IR too long if they are on IR.
- 1:11:21The bigger one being for Colorado, somebody like Gabe Landisgog.
- 1:11:26I mean, you got two of your big four out and definitely Gabe Landisgog and N'Chuskin.
- 1:11:35Yeah, N'Chuskin.
- 1:11:36Thank you.
- 1:11:37Yeah, I mean, that's why I mean, until those two can come back healthy and try and get back to where they were, like their cup eras,
- 1:11:51I see Colorado, I will see Colorado be a mid-card at best.
- 1:11:58I mean, because again, you don't see that with Tampa.
- 1:12:03I mean, at most, the most injury prone member currently on Tampa is Victor Hedman.
- 1:12:09And even then, that's few and far between.
- 1:12:13He's a game here, a game there.
- 1:12:15Yeah, it's not like he's missing weeks and weeks and weeks of the fucking season.
- 1:12:21He's out, like you said, a game, maybe two.
- 1:12:27So that's why, again, until those two come back and we see where they're at, if they come back, that's why they're going to be a mid-card for me.
- 1:12:43Fair enough.
- 1:12:44Fair enough.
- 1:12:45That's my reasoning.
- 1:12:47No, and I understand.
- 1:12:48I have a lot of respect for it.
- 1:12:50I understand and I see where you're coming from, from your POV.
- 1:12:55But I also have to give a lot of respect to them because they have made do very well without the two of them on.
- 1:13:03They've picked up a lot of that fucking slack because, I mean, Gabe Landis God is a heavy hitter.
- 1:13:10I think the other thing, like, now you think about it, Ethan, the other thing I could think of where you are coming from too is also gold-tending with Colorado as well.
- 1:13:20They don't have a super solid tandem for gold-tending where with Tampa Bay, you have Andre Vasilevsky in between the pipes.
- 1:13:32Who could be, you know, that deal breaker like, hey, if he's on, you're going to fucking win tonight.
- 1:13:37Like, he's on and if the other team's going to win, they're going to fucking work for it.
- 1:13:44Like, he's no slouch of a gold-tender by any stretch of the imagination.
- 1:13:50So that's just kind of my logic on it is I respect the hell out of Colorado as a team, but they are missing two very big components to be back to where they were when they won their last cup.
- 1:14:10Okay, that's bell enough.
- 1:14:13So I know it's a hot take and I know it's crazy, but that's the reason.
- 1:14:19Honestly, you kind of, I would say pretty good on your explanation there.
- 1:14:26I can't say anything that's not going to make me look like an ass. Like, I'm sorry, you're right.
- 1:14:32So it's just you kind of as much as people will shoot that jump the fucking gun up, you don't fucking hockey.
- 1:14:43Slow down and really read between the fucking lines. That's really what it comes down to is reading between the fucking lines.
- 1:14:53Like, they're a great team. Nathan McKinnon fucking powerhouse. Absolutely.
- 1:14:58But he's not the same as he was when he had Landis Godwin with him.
- 1:15:05You know, Dave McKinnon can only do so much. You know, Keal McCarr can only do so much.
- 1:15:11Exactly. So, you know, that's just, that's my thinking. You guys can think whatever the hell you want.
- 1:15:19All right, I'm going to finish up the central here. You know, no surprise Chicago's in the last place.
- 1:15:26Right. Utah, I got seventh, sixth is Minnesota.
- 1:15:32I got fifth place in St. Louis, fourth place Winnipeg, third place Colorado, second place Nashville,
- 1:15:43which leaves Dallas at the number one spot for that central division.
- 1:15:48Yeah. You know, honestly, I think that's the first time too that we've all agreed who's going to be number one on a division.
- 1:15:55One of the first times being Dallas. Yeah.
- 1:15:59Honestly, I feel like honestly, Winnipeg, Nashville and Colorado, I think are very interchangeable honestly in that division.
- 1:16:09You said Winnipeg, Nashville and Colorado. Yeah. I feel like it's going to be out of all of that division.
- 1:16:17I feel like the tightest competition is going to be between those three teams.
- 1:16:21I mean, I think it's going to be two through four and who ends up getting that other wildcard spot because like really looking at the West.
- 1:16:28I mean, you got to toss up between three teams. I feel like for the West, you've got the most finishing team out of those three teams between Nashville, Colorado and Winnipeg.
- 1:16:39And you also got teams like Vancouver, Seattle, Calgary, Vegas all competing for the second wildcard spot.
- 1:16:47I don't think, I think I can confidently say that it is kind of a stretch to say Vegas to be shooting for that wildcard.
- 1:16:55I'm just saying because look at two years ago when they missed the playoffs, they only missed by a point or two after the second wildcard spot.
- 1:17:02Right, but also look at who they have lost since that time.
- 1:17:06Lost and gained kind of thing.
- 1:17:09Yeah, so I guess it's just really going to, it's really going to come down to how the new additions to their team fill the shoes of the ones that they lost, one of the bigger ones being somebody like Marcos.
- 1:17:26I mean, whoever is there slotting to fill Marcos shoes or fill his skates is going to have a fucking task at hand.
- 1:17:36And then of course, Mr fucking IR King, Mark Stone, I mean, they're going to have to pick up that slack too.
- 1:17:47Yeah, because I know Ike was probably going to be picking up a lot, be putting a lot of money.
- 1:17:51Which is a shame because I love Mark Stone as a person, but it's like dude, you are kind of a fucking bum. You're kind of a pussy.
- 1:17:57I'm sorry, you're kind of a pussy.
- 1:17:59And Mark Stone, if you ever somehow listen to this podcast.
- 1:18:04I mean it.
- 1:18:06You know, and you know, Jack Ikel is going to be putting a lot more on his shoulders with Vegas as well.
- 1:18:12But the thing is, is Jack Ikel can do it because he's finally got a team around him that allows him to do it.
- 1:18:18That's Jack Ikel finally be Jack Ikel.
- 1:18:22I still can't get over the whole situation with him and Buffalo.
- 1:18:26That was so, that was so sad.
- 1:18:29My time of, because obviously Buffalo is, I would consider my second favorite team.
- 1:18:34That was probably the whole situation with Buffalo was probably, that whole thing with Ikel was probably the worst thing.
- 1:18:42And that's just like the only other good player that was on that team was the fucking Fossil.
- 1:18:50Dallin was also pretty good at the time.
- 1:18:54Even though he was still young at the time.
- 1:18:57I would say he was young, but if it wasn't fucking Jack Ikel, it was Kyle O'Poso.
- 1:19:03And get that Fossil off the ice.
- 1:19:06Which is crazy to me that he's finally fucking retired.
- 1:19:11I even made the cut.
- 1:19:12After what, 17 seasons in the NHL?
- 1:19:14It was like 17 or 18 seasons in the NHL?
- 1:19:18I even said like when he was telling, the Fossilist finally.
- 1:19:22Well, I remember I saw that article, I think I may have been like just getting home from work when I saw that article.
- 1:19:29And I physically in my car was just like fucking finally.
- 1:19:34He's drafted in 2006.
- 1:19:38So after 18 years.
- 1:19:41Yeah, 18 years.
- 1:19:44Fuck.
- 1:19:45Yeah.
- 1:19:46And damn near nothing to show for it.
- 1:19:48Well, mine is the one cup, but he went out on top.
- 1:19:51Who did he win a cup with?
- 1:19:53Florida.
- 1:19:54And he got a bonus in his contract, but after he got into it, his bonus was like he'd get a 500,000 bonus.
- 1:20:05Yeah, all paid for by this buffalo.
- 1:20:10Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, arm.
- 1:20:14So let me give it a straight.
- 1:20:17This is when he got traded to Buffalo, or sent to Buffalo.
- 1:20:20Correct.
- 1:20:21No, yeah, this, this past season before the trade deal deadline, he was traded to Florida from Buffalo for I don't even remember what I don't give a shit one, but he was traded to Florida and helped them win their first day in the cup.
- 1:20:36Well, as a part of the contract, we signed a Buffalo.
- 1:20:40If he helped, if he helps the team that is on when the cup, he gets a bonus of like 500,000 dollars.
- 1:20:48Well, Florida won the cup and that money was paid to him from not other than the Buffalo savers.
- 1:20:57Yeah.
- 1:20:58So pretty much as right now, Buffalo is Florida's minor league team because you got no former players like Kyle Caposo, Sam Reinhardt, Evan Rodriguez, Sam Bennett, all come from Buffalo to Florida to win a cup.
- 1:21:15So Buffalo pretty much is Florida's minor league team.
- 1:21:22I just can't wait for the announcement at the end of the season.
- 1:21:26Your newest addition to the ECHL, the Buffalo savers.
- 1:21:32The minifigure issue with the Florida Panthers, the Buffalo savers.
- 1:21:37The next banner going up at the K-Vague Center is of players the savers they're given as one of the savers.
- 1:21:46And memorabilia of their time here in Buffalo.
- 1:21:55Oh, shit.
- 1:21:56Oh, that's fucking funny.
- 1:22:00You just got to feel bad for these savers fans.
- 1:22:03You know what, I want one of the fucking thousand Buffalo savers stores up in downtown Buffalo.
- 1:22:10I want them to make sure.
- 1:22:13Buffalo savers, the official affiliate team of the Florida Panthers.
- 1:22:19I would buy one of those so fucking quick.
- 1:22:23You know, it's crazy.
- 1:22:24You look back at all the players that, you know, ordered Buffalo for a period of time and then Kyle traded away and won a cup elsewhere.
- 1:22:31Ryan O'Reilly won with St. Louis.
- 1:22:33You got Jack Icon when he won it with Vegas.
- 1:22:36You know, all the players who stayed in Florida.
- 1:22:40They really are an affiliate team.
- 1:22:43That's what it is.
- 1:22:46They really are an affiliate team.
- 1:22:49The Buffalo affiliates.
- 1:22:55All right, moving on to the Buffalo minor leagues.
- 1:23:01Ben the Atlantic with the Buffalo, the Buffalo savers, the official LA shell team of New York.
- 1:23:09Right.
- 1:23:10Dude, can you imagine?
- 1:23:12What would that be some shit?
- 1:23:14Imagine us going to like an Otters game.
- 1:23:17It's like you have the Erie Otters versus the Buffalo savers.
- 1:23:20It's like, wait, hold on.
- 1:23:22I thought they were going to do a chill cheat.
- 1:23:24Guys, we decided.
- 1:23:26Fucking Gary Beckman comes out and we're just like, yeah.
- 1:23:29We decided to downgrade.
- 1:23:31This is the thing. Have fun with it.
- 1:23:33You do your thing kind of thing.
- 1:23:35Yeah, pretty much.
- 1:23:37We decided to downgrade the savers to a development league.
- 1:23:41Do you know how much I'd pay to see the entire Buffalo savers rock stirvers' RJ King?
- 1:23:48Oh.
- 1:23:51Do you know how much I would pay to fucking see that?
- 1:23:55That would be hilarious to watch.
- 1:23:58I would put my mortgage on the line for that.
- 1:24:00I hope you know.
- 1:24:01Oh yeah.
- 1:24:03I'd fucking put pink sluts on my car for that.
- 1:24:08That would be funny.
- 1:24:11All right, Ethan, who's she got for the Atlantic here?
- 1:24:15Yeah.
- 1:24:21For the Atlantic.
- 1:24:23All right, so eight to one again.
- 1:24:25We have Buffalo.
- 1:24:27We have Ottawa.
- 1:24:29We have Montreal.
- 1:24:31We have...
- 1:24:37We have Toronto.
- 1:24:44Fuck, man.
- 1:24:46I'm going to put Tampa Bay out there.
- 1:24:52Then Detroit, Boston, and then the defending Stanley Cup champions in the Florida Panthers.
- 1:25:02All right, my eight to one.
- 1:25:05Montreal, Ottawa.
- 1:25:07For whatever reason, I have this minor league team in sixth place.
- 1:25:13I don't know what it is, but a minor league team in sixth place.
- 1:25:16Tampa in fifth.
- 1:25:18Detroit finally making the playoffs again.
- 1:25:22Just to lose in the first round again.
- 1:25:25At least they at least get back to...
- 1:25:27Just take the compliments that you guys are making the playoffs again.
- 1:25:31Oh, I'll take it.
- 1:25:33Watch this for the year that Detroit goes all the way.
- 1:25:36I'd shit.
- 1:25:37Oh, I would shit.
- 1:25:40But if you think about it, now is the most potential that they will have because they have experienced players now in guys like Vladimir Tarasenko and Cam Talbot.
- 1:25:53And the fact that they literally almost made it in last year, but only...
- 1:25:59They have no... I'm going to pull a tile here and say they have absolutely no excuse this year.
- 1:26:04But their team is the most stacked it has been in over a fucking decade.
- 1:26:13Like since the Zetterberg era.
- 1:26:16I mean, like, let's call a fucking spade a spade here real quick.
- 1:26:21And like, Detroit is the most stacked it has been damn near in my lifetime.
- 1:26:28They have absolutely no...
- 1:26:30I don't even give a shit if they lose in the first round.
- 1:26:33They have no excuse to miss the playoffs this year.
- 1:26:37Just meet the playoffs.
- 1:26:38Just meet the playoffs.
- 1:26:39That's all I want.
- 1:26:40Just make the playoffs.
- 1:26:41If they go deep into the playoffs.
- 1:26:44Oh, I'm fucking ecstatic.
- 1:26:45They make it to the cup final.
- 1:26:47I'm going to be a little kid again because it'll be like the last time I watched Detroit when a cup back in 2008.
- 1:26:56Yeah.
- 1:26:57I'll say the same thing with us and dollars.
- 1:26:59Just meet the fucking playoffs.
- 1:27:00That's all I want.
- 1:27:01Just meet the fucking playoffs.
- 1:27:04But I think they are going to use Tarasenko to his absolute max because he is one now on the team with the most fucking playoffs experience.
- 1:27:15Honestly, like that top six is going to be really insane.
- 1:27:19Mine is Patrick Kane.
- 1:27:21I always... I keep forgetting fucking Kane who's there.
- 1:27:24Like I'm sorry, between those two players you got five stand-the-cups.
- 1:27:27You got Kane in 10, 13, and 15.
- 1:27:30You got Tarasenko in 17 and now in 24.
- 1:27:33So you got five...
- 1:27:35You got 13 as well for...
- 1:27:37I said 13.
- 1:27:3810, 13, 15.
- 1:27:40Okay.
- 1:27:41Yeah.
- 1:27:42So you got five stand-the-cups between two players.
- 1:27:45Two fucking players.
- 1:27:47You have guys who know what it takes to win.
- 1:27:49You have guys who know what hockey is like.
- 1:27:56Like what you have to sacrifice to get to not only to the finals but to fucking win it all.
- 1:28:03Like you at this point...
- 1:28:05I promise you if Detroit even makes it to the final, I'll be over the fucking moon.
- 1:28:09If they manage to somehow pull it out of their ass and raise Lord Stanley this year, I'll fucking cry.
- 1:28:15Like I will hold...
- 1:28:17There'll be a Cinderella story.
- 1:28:19No, it'll 100% be a Cinderella story because again, it'll be the first time Detroit has raised the cup in 16 fucking years.
- 1:28:28Like the last time they raised the cup, I was a little kid.
- 1:28:31I remember watching them raise the cup.
- 1:28:34I remember watching them.
- 1:28:35Yeah, we were the summer between fourth and fifth grade.
- 1:28:38Yeah.
- 1:28:39Keep that in mind.
- 1:28:40Yeah.
- 1:28:41I'll say it was between my third and my fourth grade year.
- 1:28:44So yeah.
- 1:28:45So all I want them though is I just wanted to make the playoffs because they have zero excuse to miss them this year.
- 1:28:54Agreed.
- 1:28:55And if they miss the playoffs this year, then that tells me that they were not fucking pushing themselves.
- 1:29:01And they were not giving 110% of themselves on that audience.
- 1:29:07Alright, that's my rant.
- 1:29:09Alright, my top three.
- 1:29:10I got Toronto at three, Boston at two and no surprise Florida at numeral uno.
- 1:29:21From my eight to one eighth place is the Montreal Canadiens.
- 1:29:25Seventh place is the Ottawa Senators.
- 1:29:28Sixth place is the Buffalo Sabres.
- 1:29:31Fifth place is the Detroit Red Wings.
- 1:29:33Fourth place is the Tampa Bay Lightning.
- 1:29:36Third place is the Maple Leafs.
- 1:29:38Seventh place is the Boston Bruins.
- 1:29:40And number one is your defending Stanley Cup Champions of Florida Panthers.
- 1:29:45It's honestly going to be a battle between Tampa and Detroit.
- 1:29:51It's going to come down to those two battling it out for that final wild card spot.
- 1:30:00Alright, Metro.
- 1:30:03Eighth place is the Brute Jackets.
- 1:30:07I'm sorry, you lost two stars.
- 1:30:09One via trade, one via unfortunate, dumb accident.
- 1:30:15Number seven, I got shit, I mean Philadelphia.
- 1:30:19Number six, I got the Crappitals.
- 1:30:22Five, I have the Devils.
- 1:30:25Fourth place, maybe making that second wild card spot, maybe not, depending on how the Atlantic winds up.
- 1:30:32The Pittsburgh Retirement Homes.
- 1:30:34I mean, Pittsburgh payments.
- 1:30:36Number three, I got the Islanders.
- 1:30:38Number two, Carolina.
- 1:30:40And you guessed it, the blue coats at the number one in the Metro.
- 1:30:45Right on.
- 1:30:47So, yeah, I'm going to have to agree with Colin.
- 1:30:50Number eight, Columbus.
- 1:30:52It's an unfortunate thing though.
- 1:30:54I feel bad for him.
- 1:30:56Number seven, give me the Capitals.
- 1:31:01Number six, give me the Flyers.
- 1:31:04Number five, I'm actually going to put Pittsburgh.
- 1:31:11I'm going to say they're just going to miss the cusp of a playoff, Berth.
- 1:31:20Alright, fair enough.
- 1:31:23Number four, I'm going to do Jersey.
- 1:31:28Number three, give me Carolina.
- 1:31:34Number two, the Isles.
- 1:31:37And yeah, number one, I'm going to have the blue coats taken the Metro, which I would say those are my second favorite team.
- 1:31:46Nice.
- 1:31:48So, eighth place, I have, unfortunately, I had the Columbus blue jackets.
- 1:31:54One thing I do know for sure, even though they are going to be dead last, unfortunately, in the Metro this year.
- 1:32:01But I think they are going to be really playing for pride, just for pride this year, and all in all, honestly.
- 1:32:10Seventh place, I have the Washington Capitals.
- 1:32:14Sixth place, I have the Pittsburgh Penguins.
- 1:32:19Fifth place, I have the New York Islanders.
- 1:32:23Fourth place, I have the Philadelphia Flyers.
- 1:32:27Third place, I have New Jersey Devils.
- 1:32:30Second place, I have the Carolina Hurricanes, and then number one, the Big Apple, the New York Rangers.
- 1:32:39Alright, that's not bad.
- 1:32:42Do you have any other news? Any other big things?
- 1:32:46Not really.
- 1:32:48I really can't say too much of anything.
- 1:32:53Yeah, I don't know.
- 1:32:55Alright, well, that wraps up here.
- 1:32:58You know, opening night for the bookbusters, I know we're late, and we got to apologize, but you know.
- 1:33:04Life has gotten in the way, but that's, it is what it is.
- 1:33:09I say definitely, hopefully, I say by the time, maybe one, right, hopefully, by the time the holidays are over, I think,
- 1:33:17we should hopefully be more back to normal on that, to what we have been the last.
- 1:33:22Hopefully by the month of November, maybe December, we're back in our regular schedule and programming here.
- 1:33:31Just social media, you know.
- 1:33:33We'll try to keep you up to date as much as we can.
- 1:33:36I know we've been kind of, like, our professional account hasn't been too active up until a couple weeks,
- 1:33:43like maybe a week or two ago, but personal accounts are obviously always active.
- 1:33:48So, yeah, keep an eye out for it.
- 1:33:50Otherwise, we will see you guys in the next one. Peace.
- 1:33:53See ya. Bye!
