- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know y'all looking back to back down, giving them
- 0:15Speaker 1: like the mozing bus things, and it's not good. Steve
- 0:24Speaker 1: to mother, don't join Jo. You gotta turn, you gotta
- 1:25Speaker 1: turn to turn them out. Got to turn them out,
- 1:45Speaker 1: to turnout, turn the water the water. Come come on
- 1:59Speaker 1: your back. Uh huh. I shall will a good morning everybody.
- 2:04Speaker 1: You're listening to the voice, Come on dig me now,
- 2:08Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show, man
- 2:12Speaker 1: on man on man. I just I have to tell
- 2:17Speaker 1: you this. How good is the god I served? How
- 2:25Speaker 1: amazing is he here? It is? It is your determination
- 2:35Speaker 1: and your effort. Listen to me carefully. It is your
- 2:41Speaker 1: determination and your effort. I think that the average person,
- 2:48Speaker 1: and I'm not knocking you, I just want you to
- 2:50Speaker 1: hear me out. I think what stops the average person
- 2:53Speaker 1: from becoming successful is that we don't realize the effort
- 2:58Speaker 1: that it takes. And that's just truth. I found that
- 3:03Speaker 1: to be so true in my life and my talking
- 3:06Speaker 1: to people and meeting people, and people aren't asking me
- 3:09Speaker 1: questions about it, and me trying to figure out the
- 3:11Speaker 1: way myself I don't think that you really can comprehend
- 3:18Speaker 1: the effort that it takes to become successful. This is
- 3:22Speaker 1: the thing that you have to wrap your mind around
- 3:24Speaker 1: very quickly if you want to be successful on any level,
- 3:28Speaker 1: in any area. The dream is the beginning. Good Lord,
- 3:33Speaker 1: let me tell you something. The determination and effort is massive.
- 3:38Speaker 1: You cannot be overly concerned with sleep. If you are
- 3:45Speaker 1: a person who is always concerned about sleep, get success
- 3:49Speaker 1: out your mind. A fit to happen, partner, it's not
- 3:52Speaker 1: fit to happen. You cannot be that concerned about sleep.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Now listen to me. You have to get your rest.
- 4:01Speaker 1: But this was my philosophy. I'm just sharing you with
- 4:04Speaker 1: how I did it. My philosophy was I stopped being
- 4:10Speaker 1: concerned about sleep. I got my rest, but I got
- 4:15Speaker 1: just enough to get back to it, and I got
- 4:20Speaker 1: back on the grind to hop into hustle. I got
- 4:23Speaker 1: just enough rest so I could go and put forth
- 4:27Speaker 1: some more effort. But listen to me. You cannot sleep
- 4:32Speaker 1: a third of your life away and expect to become
- 4:35Speaker 1: successful if you're not already successful. If you are asleep
- 4:39Speaker 1: for eight hours, that is a third of your day,
- 4:42Speaker 1: you cannot be asleep a third of your life and
- 4:45Speaker 1: expect to get successful. Not after you get successful. You know,
- 4:51Speaker 1: you learn as you go to work smarter, not harder.
- 4:55Speaker 1: So as you get successful, you may have eight hours
- 4:58Speaker 1: available to you. But on the way up there, I
- 5:01Speaker 1: don't see how you can do it, I promise you.
- 5:02Speaker 1: I don't now. I don't know. Maybe somebody can come forward.
- 5:05Speaker 1: I did it out. Yeah, probably lying, But okay, tell
- 5:09Speaker 1: your story, because everybody I know that's successful that I've
- 5:14Speaker 1: sat down a head real talks with, they wasn't concerned
- 5:17Speaker 1: with sleeping. You cannot be concerned with sleeping if you
- 5:23Speaker 1: want to be successful. How how can this happen for you?
- 5:27Speaker 1: It listened to me. The effort that it requires is massive.
- 5:31Speaker 1: It's an all out of salt on your dream. Now
- 5:33Speaker 1: you got to make an assault. It's requires and all
- 5:37Speaker 1: out of salt on it. And you can't be sleeping.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Fight at the same time. You can't fight when you sleep. Man.
- 5:44Speaker 1: I wish I could get y'all understand this right. Ill
- 5:47Speaker 1: understand that the effort that is required to be successful
- 5:51Speaker 1: will take everything you have, and when you think you've
- 5:54Speaker 1: given your all, it's gonna require some more. The quality
- 5:59Speaker 1: of your chill is amazing. See that's okay. Listen, what
- 6:04Speaker 1: is sitting around having a bill every day? Fault? What? What?
- 6:08Speaker 1: What they're sitting around smoking weed for every day fault?
- 6:12Speaker 1: Come on, man, for real, But if you took that beer,
- 6:16Speaker 1: drinking weed smoking chill time and apply it to progressing
- 6:20Speaker 1: yourself towards your dream. When you do carve out a vacation,
- 6:26Speaker 1: guess where you be able to go. Guess what part
- 6:29Speaker 1: of the world you can go? See guess how you
- 6:31Speaker 1: can now I'm instead of you just driving every year
- 6:34Speaker 1: your family to the family union, sit at the same
- 6:37Speaker 1: picnic table. Everybody pull their money in. Two ten families
- 6:41Speaker 1: don't never pull they money in. They down there eating
- 6:43Speaker 1: like y'all eating you got attitude because the day or
- 6:47Speaker 1: they side don't ever chip in, And no they down
- 6:49Speaker 1: they eating the extra potatoes that making place. You're not
- 6:52Speaker 1: not arguing about this every year for real? Man, they
- 6:55Speaker 1: ain't got the T shirt money. You know they got
- 6:58Speaker 1: to say a T shirt, don't They ain't put it in?
- 7:00Speaker 1: Really man, so so so so so you want that
- 7:03Speaker 1: to be it every year? Or do you want this
- 7:06Speaker 1: year I'm taking my family to New Orleans or I'm
- 7:11Speaker 1: taking my family see the Grand Canyon. I'm taking my
- 7:13Speaker 1: family down to the beach this year, and me and
- 7:16Speaker 1: my family gonna go sight see. We're gonna go ride
- 7:19Speaker 1: Coup the River on Chicago. Me and my family gonna
- 7:21Speaker 1: go skiing this year. Me, me and my family going
- 7:24Speaker 1: out to La Man, We're gonna We're gonna go out
- 7:26Speaker 1: there for a weekend. You know, you know it can
- 7:28Speaker 1: happen like that. But if you ain't working, listen to me.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Average effort gets average results. See. Ordinary effort gets ordinary results.
- 7:46Speaker 1: But if you put forth an extra effort. See, the
- 7:50Speaker 1: only difference between extraordinary and ordinary is one word, that's extra.
- 7:54Speaker 1: If you do extra, you can take ordinary right on
- 7:58Speaker 1: over to extraordinary. Do you understand you have to have
- 8:02Speaker 1: a massive assault on your dreams? Quit sitting up in here, man,
- 8:05Speaker 1: trying to chill all the time. I'm sorry, man, I
- 8:08Speaker 1: wish I could tell you another way, but it ain't one.
- 8:11Speaker 1: I didn't talk to jay Z about this. I didn't
- 8:13Speaker 1: talk Samuel all about this. I didn't talked to said
- 8:15Speaker 1: about this. I didn't talk I have talked to the
- 8:18Speaker 1: President of the United States. I've had a conversation with
- 8:22Speaker 1: him about his effort. You look at this. You cannot
- 8:27Speaker 1: become successful with our effort. You cannot be concerned about sleep.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Here's what I did. Now you can take it from me,
- 8:37Speaker 1: or you can try it your way. But when you
- 8:39Speaker 1: get through trying it, this is what you're gonna have
- 8:41Speaker 1: to do. I wasn't concerned about how much sleep I got.
- 8:45Speaker 1: I just had to get my rest. And once I
- 8:48Speaker 1: got enough rest to get up and get the task done,
- 8:52Speaker 1: I got up. Somebody sent me a tweet the other day,
- 8:58Speaker 1: a partner of mine. He's someone to see if I
- 9:01Speaker 1: can pull it up while I'm talking to you. But
- 9:03Speaker 1: he just sent me a little sign, just what, nothing,
- 9:05Speaker 1: just a little something to say, Hey man, I ran
- 9:08Speaker 1: across this, I thought about you, and I sent it
- 9:10Speaker 1: to you. It said, no alarm clock needed, My passion
- 9:15Speaker 1: wakes me. He said, no alarm clock needed, my passion
- 9:22Speaker 1: wakes me. That's what you got to be about. You
- 9:27Speaker 1: gotta take that dream. You gotta get passionate about it,
- 9:30Speaker 1: and you got to get awake, and you got to
- 9:32Speaker 1: get up and get at it, and you got to
- 9:34Speaker 1: put forth a massive assault on your dream. Your effort
- 9:37Speaker 1: has got to be extraordinary. If you put forth extraordinary.
- 9:40Speaker 1: If you put forth extra effort, you go from ordinary
- 9:44Speaker 1: to extraordinary. That's the deal. You think it's another way,
- 9:48Speaker 1: If you got another way, could you please email it
- 9:50Speaker 1: to me, Steve Harvey doctor. Let me know so I
- 9:53Speaker 1: can slow down. So I don't know no other way.
- 9:56Speaker 1: All right, you're listening Morning show ladies and gentlemen, boys

- 10:19Speaker 1: a song. It don't take much. It was just one audience,
- 10:26Speaker 1: remember it was. It was really frank too. I thought
- 10:28Speaker 1: of her boo, oh, they won't me apollo apollo, joss

- 11:25Speaker 1: really really do. Yeah. Yeah, And I'm claiming a favoring
- 11:30Speaker 1: faith over my life of healing, so I'm not gonna
- 11:33Speaker 1: get COVID in it. And because I have us, I'm
- 11:37Speaker 1: what they call that when they test you in your
- 11:39Speaker 1: anti antibodies. You developed antibodies. Yeah, I have antibodies because
- 11:45Speaker 1: I ate chitl this for thirty eight years. So COVID

- 15:12Speaker 1: it'd be laughter for these answers. Okay, okay, asked the cello.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Here we go. This one is from Doreene in Buffalo,
- 15:20Speaker 1: New York. Steve, She says, I've heard you guys talking
- 15:22Speaker 1: about ugly men on the show, so now I need
- 15:26Speaker 1: some help. My husband and his cousins were all drinking
- 15:29Speaker 1: and joking with each other a few months ago, and
- 15:32Speaker 1: one of them told my husband that he is ugly,
- 15:35Speaker 1: and he has always been ugly. His other cousins agreed. Now,
- 15:39Speaker 1: my husband is very insecure, and he's researched hair replacement botox.
- 15:44Speaker 1: He's bought all kinds of exercise equipment, and he stopped
- 15:48Speaker 1: wearing his glasses. How can I help him repair his
- 15:51Speaker 1: self image? No? No, no, no, no no, your husband ugly.
- 15:54Speaker 1: You know what and told you know, and you know
- 15:58Speaker 1: you told him how handsome he was. But he got
- 16:02Speaker 1: around some of his Buddish drinking and they told him
- 16:04Speaker 1: the truth. And now he didn't had to face the facts. See,
- 16:08Speaker 1: you good for your husband because you've been lifting him up.
- 16:11Speaker 1: You love him. You know all the great qualities that
- 16:14Speaker 1: he's had, that they had, that he has. They don't
- 16:16Speaker 1: know none of that. They just know your ugly ass
- 16:20Speaker 1: holes like it was, and that's it. And to them,
- 16:26Speaker 1: he'll never be attractive. He can get both toks, blue
- 16:30Speaker 1: blue blocks and and and Ramhawks, he can do whatever
- 16:34Speaker 1: the hell he wants to. He gonna be ugly to them.
- 16:38Speaker 1: And I don't know why he left. How old is he?
- 16:41Speaker 1: She didn't say, Still listen to me if he married
- 16:44Speaker 1: and you know all this stuff right here, he'd been
- 16:47Speaker 1: knowing he ugly. He just ain't hand nobody telling to him.
- 16:49Speaker 1: So quit drinking with your cousins. Cousin, every time you
- 16:53Speaker 1: take a sip, they say, look at this ugly head drinking.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Really sound like you're an expert on that one. I've
- 17:00Speaker 1: been called ugly my whole life, right, just deal with it,
- 17:04Speaker 1: find somebody to thank you. Qut, and that's here we go.
- 17:09Speaker 1: That's all you got to do. Yeah, that's all. Look
- 17:13Speaker 1: to Tommy, I'm not gonna be ugly with you. He
- 17:16Speaker 1: give you ugly back himself to everybody in our family.
- 17:19Speaker 1: We don't have attractive that you're not attractive Tommy, hey
- 17:27Speaker 1: man yourself from the side, turnside with no a matter
- 17:32Speaker 1: of fact, take a selfish sideways and didn't look at it.
- 17:36Speaker 1: Just look at your structure, all right? Straight notice how
- 17:40Speaker 1: to bottom of your tea? Cha go straight to your
- 17:43Speaker 1: collar bone? All right. Carmen and Silver Spring, Maryland says,
- 17:49Speaker 1: my boyfriend and I have been discussing marriage after dating
- 17:52Speaker 1: for two years. The only problem that keeps coming up
- 17:56Speaker 1: is his ten year old son that lives with him.
- 17:58Speaker 1: He's undisciplined because my boyfriend is the type to listen
- 18:01Speaker 1: to rap music with him and encourage him to be
- 18:03Speaker 1: outspoken and part of grown folks conversation. I'm the opposite,
- 18:07Speaker 1: he said, he will continue to be the only disciplinarian
- 18:10Speaker 1: of his child if we get married. I refuse to
- 18:13Speaker 1: live with an unruly kid? What should I do? Run? Run?
- 18:20Speaker 1: Why would you sign up for that? He just told
- 18:23Speaker 1: you he'll be the only disciplinarian in his life and
- 18:26Speaker 1: he has no discipline. So what is he gonna do?
- 18:30Speaker 1: Is he gonna repeat some of the rap lyrics to you?
- 18:33Speaker 1: Because all rap ain't bad. I got that. But you know,
- 18:36Speaker 1: if he allows him, some of it is a little
- 18:39Speaker 1: bit much for a ten year old. Even they have
- 18:42Speaker 1: a parental advisorory label on it. And if you think
- 18:45Speaker 1: that's cool for your ten year old, then that's your parenting.
- 18:49Speaker 1: But if you're not allowed, the parent a board is
- 18:51Speaker 1: going to be in your house and you're the queen
- 18:52Speaker 1: of the castle, it's gonna be a conflict. True. So
- 18:56Speaker 1: now let him make the decision. Do you want to
- 18:59Speaker 1: discipline your child or allow me to discipline? Or do
- 19:02Speaker 1: you want to lose your queen? I promise you he don't.
- 19:08Speaker 1: All right? Justin and Las Vegas says, I've been married
- 19:11Speaker 1: for thirteen years, and my wife is the laziest person
- 19:15Speaker 1: I know. She works from seven pm to two am,
- 19:18Speaker 1: and then sleeps until two pm the next day. If
- 19:21Speaker 1: she's not asleep, she's lying in bed, playing games on
- 19:24Speaker 1: her phone or scrolling through social media. I cook and clean,
- 19:28Speaker 1: and I usually serve her food in bed. She is
- 19:32Speaker 1: bubbly and extroverted when she's at work and around her friends,
- 19:36Speaker 1: but I don't think she likes being at home with
- 19:37Speaker 1: me and the kids anymore. I try to talk to her,
- 19:40Speaker 1: but she's always so distracted. What do you do you
- 19:44Speaker 1: think it will see l if you you want me
- 19:48Speaker 1: to be funny, you want me to be factual? Funny? Wow, funny?
- 19:53Speaker 1: Both both trouble? All right? Then let me let me
- 19:56Speaker 1: explain something to this woman. What's gonna happen. This is
- 19:59Speaker 1: the funny part. He gonna get somebody else. Well, you
- 20:02Speaker 1: explain it to the man he wrote, and then here
- 20:06Speaker 1: go the factual part, he gonna get somebody else. You
- 20:12Speaker 1: can't keep continuing this way now, brother, If you've talked
- 20:17Speaker 1: to this woman and you've said you've been married for
- 20:20Speaker 1: thirteen years and she is the laziest woman, look at
- 20:24Speaker 1: the only thing worse than a lazy man is a
- 20:30Speaker 1: lazy woman. And you know the only thing worse than
- 20:34Speaker 1: a lazy woman a lazy man. Laziness serves no one
- 20:42Speaker 1: any purpose. And we all know marriage takes work. Laziness, man,
- 20:49Speaker 1: is one of those conditions that you can't explain. Laziness.
- 20:56Speaker 1: I can't even help you, man. I would be mortified
- 20:59Speaker 1: if my mate that I've chosen for my life was lazy,
- 21:02Speaker 1: as any woman would be if the man she chose
- 21:06Speaker 1: was lazy soul. She can make the adjustments or he will. Yeah,
- 21:12Speaker 1: I'm not bringing you breakfast in bed when two in
- 21:14Speaker 1: the afternoon, all I got to leave my lunch break
- 21:19Speaker 1: at work to bring your ass breakfast in bed at one, man,
- 21:24Speaker 1: get out of here, all right, thank you, Clo coming
- 21:27Speaker 1: up next. Nephew in the building would run that prank
- 21:29Speaker 1: back right after this. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Oprah is hosting a two night conversation about systemic racism
- 21:39Speaker 1: and the current state of America. The conversation will showcase
- 21:42Speaker 1: urgency needs and plans from black thought leaders, activists, and
- 21:47Speaker 1: artists about and for the black community. Guests include politicians,
- 21:52Speaker 1: Stacy Abrams, atlantamer Kesha Lance Bottoms, Academy Award nominated filmmaker
- 21:58Speaker 1: Ava Dubrenet, historian and author Abrahm x Kendy, actor David
- 22:04Speaker 1: A Yellow Woe, and the list goes on, don't miss
- 22:08Speaker 1: this own spot like two night event. Where do we
- 22:11Speaker 1: go from here? Starting tonight at nine eighth Central on
- 22:15Speaker 1: own coming up at the top of the hour, Reverend
- 22:19Speaker 1: Al Sharpton will be our special guest. But right now
- 22:22Speaker 1: the nephew is here to make us laugh? Would run
- 22:24Speaker 1: that Frank back? What you got for his nap? Can
- 22:27Speaker 1: I borrow your freezer? Can I borrow your freeze? Yesterday?
- 22:37Speaker 1: You real, super real nice? Can I borrow your freezing? Okay?
- 22:41Speaker 1: So he's not gonna get the same support from me.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Run it run a light equipment? Does this train on?
- 22:52Speaker 1: How can I help you? I'm trying to reach Dale.
- 22:55Speaker 1: Dale is the manager? Right? Yes? Dale is the manager?
- 22:58Speaker 1: How can I help you? Okay? Is Dell available? Is
- 23:01Speaker 1: he there? Keep actually with a customer? Is there something
- 23:04Speaker 1: that I can help you with? Or pass along the message? Okay?
- 23:07Speaker 1: So y'all allied equipment? What what? What? What exactly do
- 23:10Speaker 1: y'all have there? I'm gonna make sure i'm calling the
- 23:13Speaker 1: right place. Oh, yes, of course. It's a restaurant supply company. UM.
- 23:17Speaker 1: So we have you know, everything from freezers, refrigerators to
- 23:22Speaker 1: your basic restaurant supplies. Okay, y'all do have freezings, because
- 23:27Speaker 1: that's what I'm trying to do. What I'm trying to
- 23:29Speaker 1: do is, uh, I've run out of freezer space, and
- 23:33Speaker 1: I'm trying to see if possibly, you know, my back
- 23:36Speaker 1: is up against the wall right now. I'm trying to
- 23:38Speaker 1: see if I can possibly put something in one of
- 23:41Speaker 1: you as freezers for a couple of days until I
- 23:44Speaker 1: get freed up on this end. So that's why I
- 23:46Speaker 1: wanted to see if you guys would allow me to
- 23:49Speaker 1: do something like that. Is that possible? Um, sir, Sorry,
- 23:53Speaker 1: I'm a little confused. I don't want to buy a freezer.
- 23:56Speaker 1: You just want to put something in one of our freezers.
- 23:59Speaker 1: I just want to put something there for a couple
- 24:01Speaker 1: of days because I have a freezer, but mine is
- 24:04Speaker 1: completely full, and I'm trying to see if I can
- 24:07Speaker 1: put something in you as freezer until, you know, for
- 24:09Speaker 1: a couple of days, and then I'll come back and
- 24:10Speaker 1: get it. Um. I'm so sorry. We don't do that. Um, uh,
- 24:16Speaker 1: if you wanted to come by and purchase the freezer,
- 24:20Speaker 1: I'm I'm having to help you, but we don't allow
- 24:23Speaker 1: outside vendors to put things in our freezers. That's that's yeah,
- 24:27Speaker 1: that's I'm sorry. Okay. Well I was told if Dale
- 24:31Speaker 1: would hear what was going on, he might he might
- 24:33Speaker 1: be able to help me though. Okay, Um, you said
- 24:36Speaker 1: your name was Kevin. Okay, Kevin, if you just hold
- 24:39Speaker 1: a moment, I will see if Dale can take your call.
- 24:42Speaker 1: That's that's what the hell I asked it in the
- 24:44Speaker 1: first place. Okay, then hold on the moment. Please. Hey,
- 24:49Speaker 1: this is Dell, I help you. How are you doing? This?
- 24:52Speaker 1: Is uh Kevin? Kevin and uh I've been on the
- 24:56Speaker 1: phone with with uh your the salesperson. But let me
- 25:00Speaker 1: tell you what I'm trying to do. Man, I'm um,
- 25:02Speaker 1: I'm trying to use your You have a lot of
- 25:05Speaker 1: walking freezers that you all sell, right right? We do? Yeah? Okay,
- 25:09Speaker 1: So what I got is my freezer is completely full, man,
- 25:15Speaker 1: and I'm my back is against the wall. You can't
- 25:19Speaker 1: highly recommend it to give you a call? Is it
- 25:22Speaker 1: possible for me to? Um? I need to keep something
- 25:25Speaker 1: frozen for a few days. It's only gonna be like
- 25:28Speaker 1: two days. My my freezer will be, um, you know,
- 25:31Speaker 1: half empty in a couple of days. I just want,
- 25:34Speaker 1: I just need some somebody to just kind of help
- 25:36Speaker 1: me out here. Is it possible for me to bring
- 25:38Speaker 1: something over there to keep it frozen for a couple
- 25:41Speaker 1: of days? You know what? We got into show room,
- 25:43Speaker 1: you know, with different displays so you can see what
- 25:46Speaker 1: different kind of refrigerators look in your restaurant. But I mean,
- 25:49Speaker 1: if you want to come and take a look at one,
- 25:51Speaker 1: I could have you in if you're interested in buying one.
- 25:53Speaker 1: But no there for show you know, right right? No, No,
- 25:57Speaker 1: I have a cooler. I have a freeze already. But
- 26:00Speaker 1: like I say, mine is just full. In a couple
- 26:02Speaker 1: of days, it won't be And I really got to
- 26:05Speaker 1: get this this stuff on frozen. Man, I i'ma be
- 26:08Speaker 1: in trouble, Like I said, I'm I'm my back against
- 26:11Speaker 1: the wall over him man, And um, I can't remember
- 26:13Speaker 1: who recommended you, but you can't highly recommended that you
- 26:16Speaker 1: might be able to show me a little love on
- 26:18Speaker 1: this look. I guess it comes back depends on what
- 26:20Speaker 1: do you need, how much how much do you have
- 26:22Speaker 1: that you need frozen? I mean, I don't even know
- 26:25Speaker 1: what you Well, well, I got um three bodies that
- 26:28Speaker 1: I need to get um to keep, you know, to
- 26:31Speaker 1: keep frozen. Man. You know we run the mortuary over here.
- 26:33Speaker 1: This is Bozen body. Yeah, we're gonna meet three people bodies. Yeah, yeah,
- 26:39Speaker 1: we got three bodies that and like I said, my
- 26:41Speaker 1: my freezers fuller. Man. But in a couple of days,
- 26:45Speaker 1: you know, these bodies, you know, the funerals would have happened,
- 26:47Speaker 1: so we'll be freed up, you know. But right now,
- 26:50Speaker 1: I got I got three bodies coming in the day
- 26:52Speaker 1: that I got to get in the freezer. Are you crazy?
- 26:57Speaker 1: Damn mine? No, no, no, I'm there serious, I'm Denis
- 27:01Speaker 1: bro So I'm like I said, you can't highly recommend it,
- 27:04Speaker 1: you know what. I'm just trying to get somebody to
- 27:05Speaker 1: show me a little love. Man. You got those freezes,
- 27:07Speaker 1: you don't have nothing in them, you know, I just
- 27:09Speaker 1: need it for a couple of days. You gotta be
- 27:11Speaker 1: out of your mind. We're not talking about ice. This
- 27:14Speaker 1: isn't chicken wings or reports shoulder. He's a pepall. You
- 27:18Speaker 1: are out of your mind. Man. But but listen to me,
- 27:21Speaker 1: then listen to what I'm gonna You understand how serious
- 27:24Speaker 1: is it. I have to keep them frozen. That's the
- 27:27Speaker 1: reason why I'm calling. I'm needing your help, man. Yeah,
- 27:30Speaker 1: I understand that. Look, if you want to, I'll have
- 27:32Speaker 1: you come in to buy your own freezer. You can
- 27:34Speaker 1: put your own bodies in your own freezer. How might
- 27:37Speaker 1: the show off my shoulder room with frozen bodies and
- 27:40Speaker 1: the freezer. But just just don't just don't show that
- 27:43Speaker 1: on for a couple of days, you know what I'm saying,
- 27:45Speaker 1: don't just don't show it all? Well, just come you
- 27:47Speaker 1: know what? You know what here? What we could do.
- 27:49Speaker 1: We could put the bodies in there, just cover them up,
- 27:51Speaker 1: and people don't want to know what it is. Yeah,
- 27:53Speaker 1: and then I get a buyer that comes in and
- 27:55Speaker 1: the cover falls off it and I got a frozen
- 27:57Speaker 1: dead body and my freezer. Is that even the lead?
- 28:00Speaker 1: I don't know. Man. All I'm saying is there's a deal. Man.
- 28:04Speaker 1: You can't highly recommended. They told me that you would
- 28:06Speaker 1: probably show me so love. I'm actually, you know, getting
- 28:10Speaker 1: ready to load up and come your way. Dude, you
- 28:13Speaker 1: keep those dead bodies away from my store. I'm telling
- 28:16Speaker 1: you right now, I can't hook you up on this one,
- 28:19Speaker 1: all right, I just can't do it, Okay. But we
- 28:22Speaker 1: shouldn't load up and come that way though. Man. So
- 28:24Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, it's I mean, what am
- 28:27Speaker 1: I supposed to do? I have no you know what?
- 28:30Speaker 1: You want to come talk to me. You want to
- 28:31Speaker 1: buy a freezer for yourself and you want to freeze
- 28:34Speaker 1: your dead bodies on your own. I don't care. I'll
- 28:36Speaker 1: tell you a freezer. I got no problem with telling
- 28:39Speaker 1: you a freezer. But you're not bringing the bodies here.
- 28:41Speaker 1: It's just not happening. So if Alonzo, if Alonzo calls
- 28:46Speaker 1: you and green lights it is it, okay, then I
- 28:51Speaker 1: highly down. Alonzo's gonna call me and tell me to
- 28:54Speaker 1: put free de bodies and our showroom for freezers. I
- 28:59Speaker 1: hate out that. Okay, okay, but but but guess what
- 29:03Speaker 1: Alonzo told me? What did a lions? I'm telling you,
- 29:07Speaker 1: Alonzo told me to give you a call. He told
- 29:10Speaker 1: me to give you a plank phone call. This is
- 29:12Speaker 1: not from the Steve Harping Morning Show. Come on, are
- 29:17Speaker 1: you serious? Yes? Stop, yes, I'm having my chatter. Oh
- 29:28Speaker 1: oh jeez. That guy. Oh you just you just got
- 29:31Speaker 1: a pranked by your GM baby, that's why happening right here?
- 29:36Speaker 1: All right, man, give me one more thing. You gotta
- 29:38Speaker 1: tell me this right here, Dale, what is the baddest
- 29:41Speaker 1: and I'm talking about the baddest radio show in the land.
- 29:44Speaker 1: It is the Steve Harvey Morning Show. My friend, all
- 29:51Speaker 1: I want to do a bar to freezing. You know
- 29:52Speaker 1: what I'm saying. It's all you want to do. Oh
- 29:56Speaker 1: my god, you're just play too much. You I'm having
- 29:59Speaker 1: this line eight hours, just trying to borrow that's what time.
- 30:03Speaker 1: It won't You're gonna give me my propers on this him.
- 30:06Speaker 1: That's how it sounds like you're on team time. No,
- 30:10Speaker 1: I'm really not. Wow. All right, we're coming up at
- 30:17Speaker 1: the top of the hour, Reverend Al Sharpton. We'll be
- 30:20Speaker 1: our special guest and we'll talk to him right after this.
- 30:24Speaker 1: You're listening, Hey, everybody, listen our special guests this morning.
- 30:32Speaker 1: That's promise is a reverend. He's a civil rights activist.
- 30:36Speaker 1: He's also the host of MSNBC's UH Politics Nation, and
- 30:43Speaker 1: he's the founder of the National Action Network. Now he's
- 30:47Speaker 1: been on the front lines for I mean for fifty years,
- 30:52Speaker 1: fifty years just leading the fight against racial prejudice and injustice,
- 30:56Speaker 1: and his path was laid before him when he came
- 31:00Speaker 1: and all day Minister at around ten years old. Well,
- 31:03Speaker 1: he's coming to us right now, everybody, this morning from Houston, Texas,
- 31:07Speaker 1: where he's preparing to deliver the eulogy for the final
- 31:11Speaker 1: home going home going services for brother George Floyd lost
- 31:15Speaker 1: his life tragically at the hands of Minnesota policeman. Ladies
- 31:18Speaker 1: and gentlemen. Please, he's a family all day with us.
- 31:20Speaker 1: Please welcome to the Steve Harper Morning to show my man,
- 31:23Speaker 1: Reverend House shocked it now. Reverend, I can't tell you
- 31:31Speaker 1: how many conversations we've had we've had like this over
- 31:34Speaker 1: the years, but I don't know this one seems like
- 31:41Speaker 1: it has a different tone to us. Kind of walk
- 31:43Speaker 1: us through a little bit of this. How how are
- 31:45Speaker 1: you feeling about the overall tone of everything that's happening
- 31:49Speaker 1: right now? Well, you know, Steve, as you said, I've
- 31:53Speaker 1: done a lot of these, let a lot of the
- 31:55Speaker 1: movements around him, but I am more hopeful than I've
- 31:59Speaker 1: ever end even though this is as tragic as anything
- 32:03Speaker 1: I've ever seen, and even I'm more hopeful as I
- 32:06Speaker 1: see more different type of people out in the streets marching.
- 32:10Speaker 1: We've been leading, some of them organizing, some of them
- 32:13Speaker 1: just joining others. And in some cities I've seen more
- 32:18Speaker 1: whites than blackness. And I think that people have finally
- 32:23Speaker 1: seen that this whole question of police brutality has to
- 32:27Speaker 1: be dealt with. It doesn't make all police bad, doesn't
- 32:30Speaker 1: even make most bad, but those that are bad need
- 32:34Speaker 1: to be dealt with. And I think what happens is
- 32:37Speaker 1: with everyone in shelter in place locked down and could
- 32:41Speaker 1: watch sports because all of the professional sports was down,
- 32:45Speaker 1: everybody had to watch this video over and over and
- 32:48Speaker 1: they just said, oh, this is crazy, this can't be happening,
- 32:51Speaker 1: and what the pandemic. Having locked them down, people just
- 32:54Speaker 1: broke out and said no, we have to stop this.
- 32:57Speaker 1: And it's all over the world. They're marching in London,
- 33:00Speaker 1: in Matching, in France. People have come to terms with
- 33:04Speaker 1: the fact that it's time to deal with the criminal
- 33:06Speaker 1: justice system. So I've said to the family. I've been
- 33:10Speaker 1: the first funeral memorial in Minneapolis last Thursday, and then
- 33:15Speaker 1: I've done the one today, and I've said to them
- 33:18Speaker 1: that as heartbreaking as it is, I think that they
- 33:22Speaker 1: may be able to settle on the fact that their
- 33:27Speaker 1: loved one, their brothers, their father, their uncle may have
- 33:31Speaker 1: been the tipping point of how we deal with this
- 33:33Speaker 1: issue isn't as any comfort to them at all. And
- 33:37Speaker 1: I'm just I'm glad that I'm seeing what I'm seeing.
- 33:41Speaker 1: I don't agree with any of the violence, and it's
- 33:44Speaker 1: been minimal. Ninety eight percent of the people have been
- 33:47Speaker 1: doing peaceful matching and have really shaken the world. Wow,
- 33:54Speaker 1: you know, I feel exactly that way. It does seem
- 33:59Speaker 1: a lot more hopeful right now. What do you think,
- 34:02Speaker 1: because let's talk about police reform for a second, what
- 34:06Speaker 1: do you think should what policies are ideals should we
- 34:12Speaker 1: be placing on the table for police so we can
- 34:16Speaker 1: get the police police because that seems to be a
- 34:21Speaker 1: problem to me. Have you thought about any ideas or
- 34:24Speaker 1: any concept that we might want to put on the
- 34:27Speaker 1: table when we're talking about reforming police policies and things. Now,
- 34:33Speaker 1: we have specifics at Nash Action Network and with these families.
- 34:37Speaker 1: In fact, yesterday we met with Joe Biden on it
- 34:40Speaker 1: and we talked to everybody about it. One we need
- 34:44Speaker 1: to end these no knock laws where police can just
- 34:47Speaker 1: break in in a no knock warrant, which led to
- 34:50Speaker 1: the killing of Brianna Taylor in Louisville, Kentucky a few
- 34:54Speaker 1: weeks ago. We need to end that. We need to
- 34:57Speaker 1: residency requirements when policy even the city that they're policemen,
- 35:02Speaker 1: they tend to know the kids, especially in small town,
- 35:06Speaker 1: their wives know the wives, their kids play football, so
- 35:11Speaker 1: a residency requirement. And we need to have where police
- 35:15Speaker 1: records are just as available as Sevillian records. If you
- 35:20Speaker 1: are I get arrested, they get our yellow sheet out.
- 35:23Speaker 1: Police have shielded backgrounds, so we don't know whether a
- 35:27Speaker 1: policeman has had in fractions with the public before, they've
- 35:31Speaker 1: been accused of abuse before. The officer that bud his
- 35:35Speaker 1: knee on George Floyd's neck had some thirteen to eighteen
- 35:40Speaker 1: complaints about such the more he should have never been
- 35:43Speaker 1: on the falls that should be made public. The Congressional
- 35:47Speaker 1: Black Caucus and the Democratic Caucus came out with bills
- 35:50Speaker 1: yesterday proposing some of these things, so the policy is there.
- 35:55Speaker 1: We're doing a big march August twenty eight, bringing all
- 35:58Speaker 1: these forces together university to march on Washington, going to
- 36:01Speaker 1: Washington to raise policy, because what we don't need is
- 36:05Speaker 1: all of the drama not leading to anything. What made
- 36:09Speaker 1: the civil rights movement of the sixties is starting. Is
- 36:13Speaker 1: it led to the Civil Rights Act of sixty four,
- 36:16Speaker 1: then the Voting Rights Act of sixty five, from the
- 36:20Speaker 1: fights from Ragana and stat Noland six years ago and
- 36:24Speaker 1: Ferguson to now, this must lead to law and policy.
- 36:29Speaker 1: Otherwise we're just venting and people don't care if we're angry,
- 36:33Speaker 1: but they do care if you change the power equation. Wow,
- 36:37Speaker 1: you know some Reverend Sharpton. If I might offer this
- 36:42Speaker 1: because I know you, you're one of our top leaders
- 36:46Speaker 1: that can bring about policy. Here's the thing that I
- 36:50Speaker 1: was thinking about the other day, If police laws, if police,
- 36:57Speaker 1: because here's what's happening. I think the police do so
- 37:00Speaker 1: many things without consequence. Hey, everybody, ud hold on one second. Sit.
- 37:07Speaker 1: We'll be back with more from revend Al Sharpton right
- 37:10Speaker 1: after this. You're listening. Hey, we're back and we're speaking
- 37:17Speaker 1: with a civil rights activists, our friend and family member,
- 37:21Speaker 1: Reverend Al Sharpton. Here's the thing that I was thinking
- 37:25Speaker 1: about the other day, If police laws, if police, because
- 37:30Speaker 1: here's what's happening. I think the police do so many
- 37:33Speaker 1: things without consequence. There's no known written consequence is if
- 37:39Speaker 1: a police officer does a certain thing. So I think
- 37:43Speaker 1: we need to have, you know, just like in civil
- 37:45Speaker 1: courts civil regular civilians, we have mandatory sensencing for certain things.
- 37:52Speaker 1: I think police need to be policed, and I think
- 37:55Speaker 1: that the police policies, I think the mandatory and sentences
- 38:00Speaker 1: that we have should match for the police officers. Exactly
- 38:03Speaker 1: what I'm saying is if you kill an unarmed man
- 38:07Speaker 1: and he dies and he's unarmed, there's a sentence that
- 38:10Speaker 1: goes with that. If you choke a man out, there's
- 38:14Speaker 1: a sentence that goes that. If you put your knee
- 38:16Speaker 1: on his back neck, there's a sentence to go with that.
- 38:19Speaker 1: If you kill a person in the line of duty
- 38:22Speaker 1: and there is no you know, resistant or running, ain't
- 38:26Speaker 1: you can't kill me because I ran right, we gotta
- 38:29Speaker 1: have some type of mandatory sentencing for officers. I think
- 38:33Speaker 1: that that really sounds feasible to me yet that we
- 38:37Speaker 1: need to look into that, because I know the Congressional
- 38:40Speaker 1: film is also Lord of Barb where a police can
- 38:46Speaker 1: kill or use they call it using grethal force if
- 38:50Speaker 1: they feel justified, and we're saying the boss should be
- 38:55Speaker 1: if you can prove you had no other way to
- 38:59Speaker 1: deal with a situation, and then you were deal with
- 39:01Speaker 1: self defense. You take George Floyd. This man was handcuffed
- 39:06Speaker 1: on the ground. So what did you have to do
- 39:08Speaker 1: that for? And to think about one and one of
- 39:11Speaker 1: the things that people was talking about here that yesterday
- 39:16Speaker 1: was that when I made the people at the first
- 39:18Speaker 1: understand up for eight minutes and forty six seconds, what
- 39:22Speaker 1: can you do? How much hatred do you have that
- 39:26Speaker 1: you can hold your knee on somebody that long. Most
- 39:29Speaker 1: people can't even hold people standing in these two minutes.
- 39:33Speaker 1: Let's breast something. And I mean, just think about that.
- 39:36Speaker 1: Eight minutes and forty six seconds. You could penetrate and
- 39:40Speaker 1: feel somebody dying calling for their mother who was dead
- 39:43Speaker 1: by the way, he was calling for his mother and
- 39:45Speaker 1: died and then said I can't read and it doesn't
- 39:49Speaker 1: make you come back, and there to be mandatory sentencing
- 39:51Speaker 1: for that, And you're absolutely right, you know. They often
- 39:55Speaker 1: used we felt threatened. All we were in the line
- 39:57Speaker 1: of duty, all we felt endangered. This man was so
- 40:03Speaker 1: comfortable on the neck of George Floyd that he had
- 40:06Speaker 1: his hands in his pocket. I have never felt endangered
- 40:12Speaker 1: and putting my damn hands in my pocket in my life.
- 40:16Speaker 1: I'm okay, and we'll be back the whole type. We'll
- 40:19Speaker 1: be right back with more to Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 40:21Speaker 1: and Reverend Al Sharpton right after this. You're listening. Hey,
- 40:28Speaker 1: we're back and we're speaking with a civil rights activists,
- 40:31Speaker 1: our friend and family member, Reverend Al Sharpton. But you know,
- 40:37Speaker 1: I've been in a couple of scraps. In any scrap
- 40:40Speaker 1: I've ever been in, when I felt attacked or in danger,
- 40:43Speaker 1: I never put my hands in my pot. He had
- 40:46Speaker 1: his hands in his pocket. That's how comfortable he was.
- 40:49Speaker 1: And when the other officer said, I don't have a pulse,
- 40:52Speaker 1: I don't feel a post, he can tent man. Yeah,
- 40:58Speaker 1: we need some mandatory senses. Man. You know, this is
- 41:03Speaker 1: something I want to say through all of these struggles,
- 41:06Speaker 1: and I'm talking about from Trey von Gina six backs,
- 41:10Speaker 1: you know, fifteen twenty years ago, get him present, Obama
- 41:13Speaker 1: in you're talking about. I was there. Steve was there. Steve,
- 41:17Speaker 1: Steve has been black when it wasn't fashionable, when I
- 41:20Speaker 1: see a lot of artists and meditators coming out supporting us.
- 41:25Speaker 1: I remember when only Steve was there, and then Steve
- 41:28Speaker 1: McCall me you need anything. We had a great friend
- 41:31Speaker 1: of ours, great caw who say Steve Carll say y'all
- 41:34Speaker 1: all right. So that's why on the morning I'm during
- 41:37Speaker 1: this last U funeral, I was so honors and happy
- 41:42Speaker 1: to talk to a social because that's what Steve was.
- 41:45Speaker 1: When it wasn't popular, you was always there. That's why
- 41:49Speaker 1: I tell people if they say Steve Harvey's meeting with
- 41:52Speaker 1: a fan, y'all betters, look and hope that man can
- 41:55Speaker 1: get out of the meeting a right because Steve, I appreciate.
- 42:10Speaker 1: But fifty years you've been out front for us. And look, man,
- 42:17Speaker 1: I said in a podcast last night I was doing
- 42:20Speaker 1: with the doctor Berney's King, Reverend King's daughter. It's right
- 42:25Speaker 1: now protesting, I said, I don't want aybody take this
- 42:28Speaker 1: wrong way, But protesting seems to me like a young
- 42:31Speaker 1: person's sport right now because see the viciousness of these
- 42:35Speaker 1: police now with the tear gass and the rubber bullets,
- 42:37Speaker 1: and they and they knocking white girls down, nine shooting
- 42:40Speaker 1: white girls with with with with rubber bullets. Now, you
- 42:44Speaker 1: got to be able to run. If you're gonna protest,
- 42:47Speaker 1: you gotta be able to change direction. You got to
- 42:50Speaker 1: be able to get up off the ground, roll out
- 42:52Speaker 1: the way. You got to be able to get slapped
- 42:55Speaker 1: with a shield. So you know. And I'm just so
- 42:58Speaker 1: proud of these young people out here in these streets, man,
- 43:02Speaker 1: because because they tie it, and I just want them
- 43:05Speaker 1: to take this same fervor to the polls. That's because
- 43:11Speaker 1: they just like they're making a difference now. They will
- 43:14Speaker 1: make a difference at the poll. They will and and
- 43:17Speaker 1: they if they take that furvor and not only vote
- 43:21Speaker 1: for who's at the top, but vote for who's the prosecutor,
- 43:24Speaker 1: who's the district who are the people at the bottom.
- 43:28Speaker 1: That's who says policing up. And I tell them that
- 43:31Speaker 1: as we built toward this March of the twenty eighth,
- 43:34Speaker 1: and and I'm out there marching, and I'm in my sixties,
- 43:37Speaker 1: but I get up for the morning, I work out.
- 43:39Speaker 1: Let me tell how you stand ship. You get up earlier,
- 43:42Speaker 1: you work out earlier, You turn yourself up, you watch
- 43:45Speaker 1: what you eat, and you turn on the deep army
- 43:47Speaker 1: morning show that's what you do, mister Reverel. I know
- 43:56Speaker 1: you're going this morning to do the last eulogy of
- 44:00Speaker 1: for brother Floyd. We thank you, man. I know you're
- 44:02Speaker 1: gonna be special today. It was an excellent eulogy the
- 44:06Speaker 1: other day, and we expect nothing less from you, man,
- 44:09Speaker 1: And thank you for all the years brother, and continue
- 44:13Speaker 1: the good fight man, because we need soldiers like you.
- 44:16Speaker 1: God bless you, Thank you, God bless all of your love. Yes, uh, ladies, gentlemen,
- 44:20Speaker 1: Revenew shopped on the Steve Harning Show. Yeah, yeah, that
- 44:27Speaker 1: was a Revenew shopped. You know, man, he has just
- 44:31Speaker 1: been a dude that has been solid for years. Oh yeah.
- 44:34Speaker 1: I mean you could always count on him. He's there.
- 44:37Speaker 1: He don't run from nothing. He stays factual. He's on
- 44:41Speaker 1: top of it, and he out front and above all
- 44:43Speaker 1: of us. He ain't scared. No, no, he's not. Have
- 44:46Speaker 1: you noticed man that they stopped CNN, Fox, They stopped
- 44:51Speaker 1: messing with al You know what they've done is they're
- 44:53Speaker 1: trying to get fresher, younger voices now because Albi Hammon. Yes, yes,
- 45:02Speaker 1: and I did say asks while I was talking to Revenue.
- 45:04Speaker 1: Yes you did, did. I was trying to find every
- 45:08Speaker 1: possible way to embarrass us all whoever, Hey, y'all, we'll

- 46:57Speaker 1: pepperoni and Italian sausage. Yeah, what's the mushroom? Put you
- 47:03Speaker 1: to sleep, Shirley. I've lived in New York and Chicago,
- 47:09Speaker 1: and I'm gonna be honest with you, which pizza. The
- 47:12Speaker 1: best pizza I've ever had was in Chicago. Chicago? It
- 47:17Speaker 1: really and I've lived in both places. I lived in
- 47:20Speaker 1: Chicago a little bit longer than I did. I did
- 47:22Speaker 1: three years in New York, five years in Chicago. Yeah,
- 47:26Speaker 1: I will tell you though, I've enjoyed the pizza more
- 47:30Speaker 1: in Chicago. Now. I've had some great pizza in New York.
- 47:34Speaker 1: But it's so many pizza places in New York. You
- 47:37Speaker 1: can get tricked, you can go to the wrong one. Now, well,
- 47:41Speaker 1: whatever you do, no anchovies, Let's go Hello, hey man,

- 47:55Speaker 1: talk to me. What's going on? What happened in pizza?
- 47:57Speaker 1: Put some anchovies on my pizza? Black people? I don
- 48:01Speaker 1: know even know? Manchhobies? Man? So who who? Who? Who?

- 48:50Speaker 1: getting some ant chovies on your pizza. All right, many, okay,

- 48:58Speaker 1: last one of them got manchobies on him. You know
- 49:01Speaker 1: what I'm saying. So I got an issue with it.

- 55:21Speaker 1: hold on tight, We got it for you. Here it
- 55:23Speaker 1: is letter, Thank you, nephew. Subject he made a lifetime
- 55:27Speaker 1: commitment to another woman. Just Stephen Shirley. I'm twenty nine
- 55:31Speaker 1: years old and my boyfriend is thirty and he's an idiot.
- 55:36Speaker 1: We've been together for four years, and his ex girlfriend
- 55:38Speaker 1: and I were close friends before her man chose to
- 55:42Speaker 1: be with me instead of her. I might have been
- 55:45Speaker 1: wrong for dating him, but it felt like the right
- 55:47Speaker 1: thing to do at the time. In the beginning, she
- 55:51Speaker 1: tried to fight me three times, and she showed up
- 55:53Speaker 1: at my job once and I had her arrested. About
- 55:57Speaker 1: a year ago, she started dating a new guy and
- 56:00Speaker 1: she left us alone. Then she got pregnant and the
- 56:04Speaker 1: guy dumped her, so she tried to say that it
- 56:08Speaker 1: might be my boyfriend's baby. My boyfriend swore he had
- 56:13Speaker 1: not had sex with her in years. I had to
- 56:16Speaker 1: trust him and wait to see who the baby looked like.
- 56:19Speaker 1: She gave birth to a boy two weeks ago, and
- 56:21Speaker 1: she called my boyfriend to let him know. He was
- 56:24Speaker 1: acting all excited. What an idiot, because now I'm wondering
- 56:30Speaker 1: if it's his baby after all. I started asking around
- 56:34Speaker 1: to see if any of my old friends had seen
- 56:36Speaker 1: the baby, and all of them said the little boy
- 56:39Speaker 1: looks just like his dead beat daddy that he's never met.
- 56:43Speaker 1: The ex girlfriend found out I was asking about her baby,
- 56:46Speaker 1: so she texted me a picture of the baby with
- 56:49Speaker 1: a text that said since you want to see my
- 56:52Speaker 1: son so bad. Then she sent a picture of the
- 56:56Speaker 1: baby's birth certificate and I saw that my boyfriend had
- 56:59Speaker 1: signed it. I was mad as hell, and I cursed
- 57:03Speaker 1: him out for lying to me. He said he only
- 57:07Speaker 1: signed the birth certificates so another black boy won't grow
- 57:11Speaker 1: up without a father figure he did not realize was
- 57:14Speaker 1: a good one. He did not realize that he'd be
- 57:17Speaker 1: financially responsible for this child for the rest of his life.
- 57:20Speaker 1: He and his ex girlfriend deserve each other. So I
- 57:24Speaker 1: left him. Of course, he says, I'm overreacting. What do
- 57:27Speaker 1: you guys think? Well, in the first part of the letter,
- 57:30Speaker 1: you said you're twenty nine and your boyfriend's thirty and
- 57:33Speaker 1: he's an idiot. But reading this letter, it really made
- 57:36Speaker 1: me wonder who really is the idiot here? Who is it? Yes, girl,
- 57:42Speaker 1: you know you were wrong for dating your close friends. Man,
- 57:45Speaker 1: you know that violates every kind of girlfriend code there is.
- 57:49Speaker 1: We don't do that, especially with the lame excuse of
- 57:52Speaker 1: it seemed like the right thing to do at the time.
- 57:55Speaker 1: What excuse me? Come on? Really, you're just wrong on
- 58:01Speaker 1: so many levels for all of this, And yes, I
- 58:05Speaker 1: think you are doing the most I think you are
- 58:07Speaker 1: overreacting because you know deep down that you caused all
- 58:10Speaker 1: of this. This is a chain reaction to what you've done.
- 58:14Speaker 1: And your boyfriend is still dipping back over to her,
- 58:19Speaker 1: so it probably is his baby. Of course, a DNA
- 58:22Speaker 1: test would take care of all that information. But his
- 58:27Speaker 1: name is on the birth certificate. He signed the birth certificate.
- 58:32Speaker 1: You're supposed man signed the birth certificate. He said that
- 58:35Speaker 1: he didn't want another black boy to grow up without
- 58:37Speaker 1: a daddy. I don't know too many men that would
- 58:41Speaker 1: sign on the dotted line without a severe and sincere
- 58:45Speaker 1: investment into a child, especially this baby boy. And you
- 58:49Speaker 1: said he was excited about the baby too. I mean,
- 58:52Speaker 1: you need to connect these dots here. That is his baby.
- 58:56Speaker 1: They are still seeing each other. You're right, they do
- 58:59Speaker 1: deserve each other because because now they're a family, they
- 59:01Speaker 1: have a child, and what you did to them was wrong.
- 59:03Speaker 1: So I think you need to move on and get
- 59:06Speaker 1: yourself another man, not someone else's man, your own man,
- 59:10Speaker 1: and just move on and let them be. Steve this
- 59:16Speaker 1: let it stupid beginning. Yeah, I'm just was just trying
- 59:21Speaker 1: to read this letter, wait and see when it opened up.
- 59:24Speaker 1: It never did twenty nine year old lady born free
- 59:30Speaker 1: and thirty. She say, right off the chop, he's an idiot.
- 59:34Speaker 1: Shirley is absolutely correct. Who's the idiot in this letter?
- 59:38Speaker 1: So let me show you a couple of things. We've
- 59:40Speaker 1: been together for four years. His ex girlfriend and I
- 59:45Speaker 1: were close friends. Shirley knows that you brought the girl cold,
- 59:51Speaker 1: so her girlfriend I will go before her man chose
- 59:57Speaker 1: to be with me instead of her. I want I
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: don't want you to forget this, lady. You helped him decide, right, See,
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: you said before we were close friends. Before her man
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: chose to be with me instead of her, I don't
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: want you to forget that. You helped him decide. Now,
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: then she says, I might have been wrong for dating him,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: but it felt like the right thing to do at
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: the time. Excuse me, how are you making this wrong?
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: Have the potential to be right? You said off the top.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: I may have been wrong, but it may be loveing
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: you wrong. I don't want to be right. It costs
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: for that if loveing you wrong, jam, I don't be
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: right now? His how you know you was wrong? In
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: the beginning, she tried to fight me three times, came
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: down to your job to whoop your as on Steve,
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: you had She rad with joy. All right, Yeah, I'm
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: Steve's response coming up with twenty three minutes after the hour,
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: today's Strawberry Letter subject, he made a lifetime commitment to
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: another woman. We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: You're listening morning show. All right, come on, Steve, let's
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: recap today's Strawberry letter. He made a lifetime commitment to
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: another woman. This crazy woman dating this thirty year old man.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: They've been together four years and his ex girlfriend and
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: I was close friends before home hand chose to be
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: with me instead of huh okay, I said early it.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: Don't forget that you helped him. That's decide. I might
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: have been wrong for dating him, but it felt like
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: the right thing to do at the time. Wow. Okay,
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: So you're wrong, and then you're trying to justify, she said.
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: In the beginning, she tried to fight me three times
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: and showed up at my job once and I had
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: her arrested. That's because you was her girlfriend. She knows
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: where you work, she knows where you live. That's why
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: she got up on you three times. She know your
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: move She didn't cased it pre meditated. This is the
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: first degree. Where about a year ago she started dating
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: the new guys, she left us alone. Then she got
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: pregnant and the guy dumped her. So she tried to
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: say that it might be your boyfriend's baby. But then
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: your boyfriend said he had sex within years. Then you
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: had to trust him to wait, and you had to
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: trust him, and but you wanted to wait to see
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: who the baby looked like. She gave birth to a
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: boy two weeks ago, and call my boyfriend to let
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: him loan. Now listen to this. He was acting all excited.
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: What an idiot? Idiot? Wait a minute, or won't we
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: call a man tell him she pregnant and it's a boy.
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: He started acting excited, and he's an idiot. Down How
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: does this work? She said, because now I'm wondering if
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: it's his baby? After all? What the heir was he
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: excited for? Call a man that don't think it's his
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: baby and tell him you pregnant with his baby? All congratulations?
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: So who the fall? Right? So let me show you
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: how this work, Shirley, We're gonna do a reenactment. You're
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: calling me to tell me you're pregnant. Go ahead, we're
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: gonna do. It was several different ways. Hello, um, hi, Fred, Hey,
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: how you doing. Guess what? Remember I told you I
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: was a bit concerned I had missed and um, so
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: I decided to get up. Yeah, I was tripping, y Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: Well I went to CBS and I got one of
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: those tests, you know, and I took it and guess what.
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: We're pregnant? Fred? Hello? Fred? Fred? Did you? Did you
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: hear me? Fred? Fred? Are you're still there? Fred? I said,

- 1:06:20Speaker 1: planning my future with my with our child. We're pregnant?
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: How did you do that? Excuse me? It wasn't artificially instimination. Instiminated,
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: that's for sure. There's got to be something cause I
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: can't have kids. No, it's yours. No, no, no, for real, no,
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: I can't. No, Hey, can't tell you something? What I've
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: never even produced anything that can make a chat. I'm impatonic. Okay,
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: you mean impotent. I'm impatonic. What is that? I mean?
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: I can't possibly had you, So you take care yourself,
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: all right, let me keep trying. Hey tell you, Mama said, Hi,

- 1:07:16Speaker 1: who the hell signed a birth certificate? Because he don't
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: want another black boy to go up without a father.
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: He ain't been the girl without a father because you
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: his damn day right right right, Move on with your life.
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: Post your comments on today's Strawberry Letter. It's Steve Harvey
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: FM on Instagram and Facebook, and check out the Strawberry
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: Letter podcast on demand. Coming up at forty six minutes
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: after the hour, we're gonna talk about the Steve Harvey
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: Mentoring Monday. It's such a success. Steve, you have sessions
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: every Monday. We'll talk about it right after this. You're
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, So Steve,
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: your Harvey Foundation Mentoring Monday sessions are trending big time. Okay,
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: check out the videos on Instagram at Harvey dot foundation
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: if you want to see, Steve, you were really really
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: helping these young men who were being raised in fatherless
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: homes by single morning. You know, last night was special
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: because we were dealing with jess young men who had
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: questions about this what's going on? Because these young boys
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: are they're upset, they want questions that they're fourteen, they
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: don't understand why black people keep getting killed, and so
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: we opened up the questions for that. Last night. Jeez
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: joined me again, Crump joined me again, Benjamin Crump joined
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: and we were just trying to walk and help these
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: boys get through some of the questions they had about
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: this and how they felt about it. One young man
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: wrote a poem about it that was really good. It
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: was just a lot because they don't get it, man,
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: and they just don't see a future. It's so many
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: young men who don't see a future for themselves because wow,
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: they're gonna kill us. They're gonna kill us, right, mister Harvey,
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: You ain't never being afraid of getting killed before? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: all my life's this ain't nothing new, and so it
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: was tough. It was a great conversation last night. That's
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: good that that's really good there. Like I said, it's trending. Um,
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: take a listen to this, Steve, where did this fire
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: that you have. Where did this come from? What made
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: you speak up? But they give me life, These young people,
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: they give me. Like when they asked me to say
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: some words, I just told the damn truth. Yeah. I
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: just think the young energy and the protesters because, as
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: we often thought, you got to fight in the court
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: of public opinion, in the court of all And I
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: absolutely believe what these young people were doing all around
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: the world help get the justice moving forward on George Floyd.
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: Protesting is a young people's sport. The old cats can't
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: get out there like that no more. But what they
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: have is knowledge correct system. But we need the voices
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: of the young lions to row now to see the
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: young lines emerging. It's been most enlightening. Now I see
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: some light at the end of the tunnel. I hear
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: some voices out there that's saying the white things. That's right.
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: Civil rights activist to Mika Mallory, Like to Minka Mallory
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: was really really great last dynamic and I finally got
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: a chance to talk to her. She had been trying
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: to reach out to me several times before and I
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: never even knew it. But it was just greatness, man,
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: It was just greatness, the way she was and the
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: way she handled it, and so she spoke in Houston. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: she's a great speaker. She is. She's so passionate. She's
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: so passionate. All right, Coming up at the top of
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: the hour, Steve's advice to his mentees out the protesting
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: and the present movement. Right after this, you're listening Steve
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Okay, So Steve. Every week on Instagram
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: and Facebook, on Harvey dot Foundation, you do your weekly
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: virtual mentoring Monday sessions. Yesterday we talked about earlier. You
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: had civil rights activists to make a Mallory and attorney
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: Benjamin Crump, hip hop star, Young Jeez where your special guests,
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: and you talk to the young mentees about racism. Take
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: a listen. That is a future for you if people
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: like Crump Crump, where are you from? North Carolina? And
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: raise up? Where are you from? Jeez? Atl Baby George
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: and Georgia born to the death. I'm from a country
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: town called Welsh, West Virginia. Three black men can come
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: from the coal mines, the hoods, and the dumps, and
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: us three can manage to climb through the wubble and
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: turn ourselves into something. Listen to me, young brothers, you
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: can too, and we're gonna help you get there. There's
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: a lot of dog in you because of what you're
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: going through the fact that you're surviving it alone makes
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: you stronger than most. You have what it takes to
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: become whatever it is you need to be in life.
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: We are not going to allow racism, hatred, bigotry, nor
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: the police all of us of our destiny because we
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: are a great people. Wow, you a mentor up up
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: in here. Fascinating. Go ahead, go ahead, Steve looking at Razor,
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: North Carolina, Razor, take your shirt off, twitching round your
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: head like a yell of car That was out to
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: Benjamin and shout out to pet Pablo. Man. The greatest
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: rap album I've ever heard was Dim for Real Diary
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: of a Center Man. I got about ford them cuts
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: in my play list. Man. That's cool though, see that
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: you're that and you had jeez there young jeez. Yeah.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: So the young guys, you know, they're fans of these
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: hip hop stars, So that's cool. That's so cool. And
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: I really appreciate the Crumps and Jeezy and Steve Perry
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: and uh Quentin Cook from all the mentors yeah, and
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: uh Anthony Hamilton end and just so many my man
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: from a Chicago, Chicago PD Chicago five. Royce, Yes, it
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: was Royce Hawkins. See Royce Hawkins. That's I saw his
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: session on Instagram. It's good too, Yeah, really really good.
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: Let me ask you, what's the number one thing that
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: the young men want to know about? What? What are
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: they yearning to learn from you? How to get to
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: the next level? How do you dual? How can you
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: make it when your life is difficult in facing many hardships?
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: And that's an easy question to answer because my life
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: has been filled with it and most everybody I know,
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: and so they just don't know because they haven't been
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: getting any positive reinforcement. They just don't know. How do
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: you fix your mind to think that you're gonna make
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: it when everything around you environmentally seems so negative and
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: without hope. You got joblessness in these neighborhoods, you got
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: crime in this neighborhood, You got no after school activities
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: in this neighborhood, you ain't got no extracurriculum activity, and
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: you just go, wait a minute, man, how am I
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: supposed to make it through all of this? Gil? How
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: did y'all do it when it feels like everything is
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: against you. That's the number one tone, and so that's
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: why you have to keep it, providing example after example
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: after example to these young people so they can see
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: that there are people stumble through this thing just like
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: you and got to the other side. And as long
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: as they can get pictures of it being done, that
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: is doable. That's encouraging. Yeah, it is encouraging because they
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: don't know your journey. They just see you being successful.
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: So that's good. That's good. All right. Coming up more
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: of today's trending stories on the Steve Harvey Morning Show

- 1:16:33Speaker 1: must mean that your vote does too. Absolutely, because if

- 1:17:00Speaker 1: going on in this non soothing rhetoric that never comes.
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: He doesn't got not one soothing worrior. We're gonna be
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: okay never All right, Marla Steve Harvey Morning Show and
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: some trending news coming up at thirty three minutes after
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: the hours right after this. You're listening, Hey, everybody, listen
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: our special guests this morning as promised is a reverend.
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: He's a civil rights activist fifty years just leading the
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: fight against racial prejudice and injustice. And his path was
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: laid before him when he came in All Day Minister
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: at around ten years old. Well, he's coming to us
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: right now, everybody, this morning from Houston, Texas, where he's
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: preparing to deliver the eulogy for the final home going
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: home going services for brother George Floyd Or lost his
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: life tragically at the hands of Minnesota policeman. Ladies and gentlemen. Please,
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: he's a family all day with us. Please, welcome to
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: the Steve Harper Morning Show. My man, Reverend house shopped
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: it now. Reverend, I can't tell you how many conversations
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: we've had we've had like this over the years. Um,
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: but I don't know. This one seems like it has
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: a different tone to us. Kind of walk us through
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: a little bit of this is how how are you
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: feeling about the overall tone of everything that's happening right now? Well,
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: you know, Steve, as as you said, I've done a
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: lot of these let a lot of the movements around them.
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: But I am more hopeful than I've ever been, even
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: though this is as tragic as anything I've ever seen.
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: And the reason I'm more hopeful is I see more
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: different type of people out in the streets marching. We've
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: been leading, some of them organizing, some of them just
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: joining others, And in some cities, I've seen more whites
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: than blacks. And I think that people have finally seen
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: that this whole question police brutality has to be dealt with.
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: It doesn't make all police bad, doesn't even make most bad,
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: but those that are bad need to be dealt with.
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: And I think what happened is with everyone in shelter
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: in place locked down and couldn't watch sports because all
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: of the professional sports were down, everybody had to watch
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: this video over and over and they just said, oh,
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: this is crazy, this can't be happening. And with the
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: pandemic having locked them down, people just broke out and
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: said no, we have to stop this. And it's all
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: over the world. They're matching in London, they're marching in France.
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: People have come to terms with the fact that it's
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: time to deal with the criminal justice system. So I
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: said that the family the first funeral memorial in Minneapolis
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: last Thursday, and then I'm done the one today, and
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: I've said to them that, as heartbreaking as it is,
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: I think that they may be able to settle on
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: the the fact that their loved one, their brothers, their father,
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: their uncle may have been the tipping point of how
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: we deal with this issue isn't as any comfort to
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: them at all. And I'm just, uh, I'm glad that
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: I'm seeing what I'm seeing. I don't agree with any
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: of the violence, and it's been minimal. Ninety eight percent
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: of the people that have been doing peaceful watching and
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: have really shaken the world. Ladies and gentlemen, revenew shopped
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: and only Steve coming up our last break of the day,
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: and of course some closing remarks from the one and
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: only Steve Harvey at forty nine minutes after right after this.
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: You're listening, well, Steve, here we are our last break
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: of the day, This last break of the day. Stand
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: for that. Yeah, we're gonna keep doing this. We got
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: your nerve, your uncle, Tommy, I think you should mentor him. Yeah,
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: But today, the most important thing, I guess we can
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: say it's to go vote. You know, if you're in
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: one of those five states, go vote. Please. Georgia West Virginia,
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: North Dakota, Nevada, and South Carolina. Please and know who
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: you're voting for. Yeah, as I just said a few
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: minutes ago, if black lives truly matters, which is a
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: great slogan and a great thing. It didn't catch on
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: the first time, but this time it has, so I
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: gotta tell you how great it is. But let's think
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: about this. If black lives matter, then obviously that must
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: mean that your vote does too, because see, what black
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: Lives Matters actually saying is that our lives matter, also
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: that our lives should be taken into the consame consideration
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: as everybody else's see. I was watching Lord Coates on
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: CNN and she made a statement that was really because
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: I like simple things, you know. She said, The problem
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: is people look at justice like his pie, that if
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: you get a big slice of it, that means it's
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: less for me. Well, that's not how justice works. If
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: you get a big slice of justice, I can get
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: a big slice of justice, and you can still get
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: another big slice of justice, and there's enough justice to
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: go around for us all. So you don't have to
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: act like if I give him too much justice it
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: means less for me. It doesn't. And that's where we've
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: got to come to terms with this thing. See, all
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: black lives matters is saying is black lives matter. Also,
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: it's not to diminish in any other live And but
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: see why are you so quick to try to negate
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: black lives matter because you want to say all lives matters.
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: Black people didn't say all lives matter. When they say
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: black lives matters. Is to get you to understand it.
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: We want our life to count just like yours count.
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: That's all we're saying. We're not saying that nobody else
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: will matter lives matter but us. We've been knowing your
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: life matter. We've been watching your life matter the whole
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: time we've been here. We've just been waiting on the
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: day that ilurs get to count just like yours count. See,
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: we're sick and tired of this here trying to explain
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: everything we do. Now y'all doubling back, and now you're okay.
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: We Colin Kaepernick. Now, now the NFL, who I thought
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: would never apologize for this, Roger Goodelle has apologized for
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: the NFL not handling racism the way it should have.
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: Colin Kaepernick brought it to their attention. But you are
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: allowed this decisiveness of this president to get into your
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: head and hood. We can tripped all, y'all out. He
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: started with because he knows money, so he made it
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: about the flag and the military, and he went to
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: all the top people at and T, Verizon, Met Life,
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: all the Mercedes bids, everybody's got a name on the
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: stateum and said this is unpatriotic, and so now the
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: owners had to get on board with that. It was
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: a trick, y'all. What Colin Kaepernick neil for is the
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: very same thing that everybody is out in the streets for.
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: The brother was right. The brother was right. The brother
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: was right the whole time. He was right. And now
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: we're sick of this non action. But now, thank god,
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: that is finally some action. And I'm not saying this
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: about time, but I'm just saying, you know, this could
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: have been happened. It really could have. But I guess
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: everybody was just busy going about their life. But COVID
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: slowed it down to where everybody was sitting in front
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: of their TV. And now you're watching the police on
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: social media do what they've been doing to us long
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: before that was social media see y'all watching white folks
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: getting pushed down in the street. That's seventy five years old.
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: We've been watching old black people getting beat by billy
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: clubs and lynched and burned in cancer rated for years.
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: And now the sad part is the same bad police officers,
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: the few that's out there, the one that pushed the
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: seventy five year old old, old elderly white man down.
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: He laying there with his head opened up on the sidewalk.
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: I saw the blood. The young dude who the old
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: guy reached around him and pushed the young cop tried
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: to bend over to help him, and the other cops
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: keep moving and wouldn't let him bend over. That six
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: people walk past this man when one young dude in
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: a military uniform bent down to help his brother. But see,
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: we pay the police to serve and protect. We don't
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: pay the police to mace and tear gas us and
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: stun gun us and choke us and need us and
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: kill us. So now what has happened is in America,
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: we are starting to see what's happening to people who
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: are not African American. It's starting to happen to them.
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: They're pushing old white people on the ground. Now they're hidden,
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: white cameraman in the stomach with shields. They shooting white
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: girls with rubber bullets. Now, oh, it don't got out
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: of hand. It's ugly. Now it don't make no damn sense. Well,
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: it ain't been making no sense to us, and we
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: appreciate the fact that it finally don't make sense to
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: so many of y'all, So thank you very much. But
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: we got a lot of work to do, and police
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: gonna have to have some are mandatory sentencing, just like
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: civil civilians do. If you kill a person who is unarmed,
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: you have to do time, and that should be the
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: law across the board. Those are my closing remarks. Y'all
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: have a great weekend, because your weekend gonna be just
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: like your Friday and just like your Wednesday and your Tuesday.
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: And I've gotten used to it. It's just all the same,
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: and I'm starting to enjoy all for all. Steve Every
