Latest / The Ben Ferguson Podcast / Corp Media Hair on Fire as SCOTUS Leans to Some Sort of Presidential Immunity
Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: The media is completely obsessed with the fact that there
- 0:05Speaker 1: is another court case that deals with Donald Trump. Yes,
- 0:08Speaker 1: they want you to obsess over the one in New
- 0:10Speaker 1: York where they're hoping that Donald Trump is somehow going
- 0:12Speaker 1: to be sent to jail because of.
- 0:14Speaker 2: This gag order. And I'm going to deal with that
- 0:16Speaker 2: in a moment.
- 0:16Speaker 1: But there's a bigger and much more important case that's
- 0:19Speaker 1: happening right now at the Supreme Court. Now, the US
- 0:23Speaker 1: Supreme Court justices in the Trump case clearly seem to
- 0:28Speaker 1: be leaning towards some level of presidential immunity. That is
- 0:34Speaker 1: not what the media was wanting you to hear. In fact,
- 0:40Speaker 1: it was very clear on MSNBC in the hours leading
- 0:44Speaker 1: up to this case, starting in the oral arguments that
- 0:48Speaker 1: we're going to take place, they want you to believe
- 0:51Speaker 1: that Donald Trump was trying to use presidential community in
- 0:54Speaker 1: essence to.
- 0:54Speaker 2: Like murder people. I'm not kidding.
- 0:56Speaker 1: They're like, well, does he have immunity if he walks
- 0:58Speaker 1: up and just it's killing his political opponents or starts
- 1:02Speaker 1: shooting people, Right, that's the extreme that they go to. Now,
- 1:06Speaker 1: there's also another perspective on this, and it is the
- 1:10Speaker 1: fact that.
- 1:11Speaker 2: It's taken this long to deal with.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Presidential community case, and it wasn't done on purpose, so
- 1:19Speaker 1: there could be a political warfare aspect of this that
- 1:22Speaker 1: would drag on forever. We're going to talk about that
- 1:25Speaker 1: in a moment, because I do believe that's a large
- 1:27Speaker 1: part of this. Now, let me go back to what
- 1:29Speaker 1: I was saying a moment ago about MSNBC. MSNBC in
- 1:34Speaker 1: the hours leading up in NBC News and all the
- 1:37Speaker 1: others really were doing the same thing. They were basically
- 1:40Speaker 1: telling you that this is an evil president.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Who tried to overthrow an election.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Right, they're using their same talking points they've been using,
- 1:47Speaker 1: and therefore he doesn't deserve presidential community. Listen to this,
- 1:52Speaker 1: and this was just right before the Supreme Court got
- 1:55Speaker 1: started in their oral.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Arguments over this Presidential Community case.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Listen, it cannot be the case that a president of
- 2:04Speaker 3: the United States kent attempt to overturn an election and
- 2:09Speaker 3: seize power, and that our justice system is incapable of
- 2:14Speaker 3: holding a trial of holding him to account before the
- 2:18Speaker 3: next election.
- 2:20Speaker 2: That cannot be the case.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Take, by the way, that's Liz Cheney, right, who is
- 2:24Speaker 1: a useful idiot of the left, who was one of
- 2:28Speaker 1: those with the January sixth right, that was trying to
- 2:31Speaker 1: get rid of Donald Trump and to literally make it
- 2:34Speaker 1: where he was never able to run for president again.
- 2:37Speaker 2: So that's who you're hearing talking there.
- 2:39Speaker 1: And you notice that what she's saying is actually the
- 2:41Speaker 1: complete opposite of what I was saying. She's actually saying,
- 2:44Speaker 1: we have to live in a world where we hold
- 2:46Speaker 1: this guy accountable and he didn't even have the chance
- 2:48Speaker 1: to run.
- 2:48Speaker 4: Right.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Interesting how she's using basically my same argument, but on
- 2:53Speaker 1: the complete opposite side of it, because she wants Donald
- 2:56Speaker 1: Trump not to even be able to run for office.
- 2:59Speaker 2: She wasn't done. Keep listening.
- 3:01Speaker 3: In action that will result in further delay in preventing
- 3:07Speaker 3: the American people from seeing that evidence in open court
- 3:11Speaker 3: is itself suppression of the evidence. That the American people
- 3:15Speaker 3: have a right to see that evidence, and the court
- 3:17Speaker 3: ought to.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Recognize that, and the court ought to recognize that. So
- 3:22Speaker 1: what she's saying is Donald Trump should have already been disqualified
- 3:25Speaker 1: from being able to run for president.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Okay, Like that's it very clearly.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Now, there's also some of the oral arguments that I
- 3:33Speaker 1: want to give you, and this is Donald Trump's lawyer,
- 3:37Speaker 1: John Sower, who is having a conversation with Supreme Court
- 3:43Speaker 1: Justice Katanji Brown Jackson, also known as kb J, about
- 3:51Speaker 1: the importance in essence of the president having this ability
- 3:55Speaker 1: to have this presidential immunity.
- 3:57Speaker 2: And you can see how political it is.
- 3:59Speaker 4: Now.
- 3:59Speaker 2: Just Jackson is hardcore liberal. We all know that.
- 4:05Speaker 1: And from these or arguments, I think what you can
- 4:07Speaker 1: tell is she's wanting to make a liberal stand here
- 4:10Speaker 1: because I think she knows that the Court is going
- 4:13Speaker 1: to make it very clear that, yes, a president of
- 4:16Speaker 1: the United States of America has to have some significant
- 4:20Speaker 1: level of presidential community. Now I'm going to play this
- 4:25Speaker 1: for you in just a second, but first let me
- 4:26Speaker 1: tell you about her friend's over at Patriot Mobile. If
- 4:28Speaker 1: you're like me and you are just sick and tired
- 4:31Speaker 1: of giving your money to woke companies that are fighting
- 4:34Speaker 1: against what you believe in, that hate your values, hate
- 4:38Speaker 1: your family values, then you need to check out Patriot Mobile.
- 4:42Speaker 1: You may not realize that Big Mobile gives massive donations
- 4:47Speaker 1: millions and millions of dollars to the Democratic Party Democratic candidates,
- 4:53Speaker 1: and what's even worse than that money to plan parenthood.
- 4:58Speaker 1: If you have a cell phone and a about ninety
- 5:00Speaker 1: nine percent of you do. You need to switch to
- 5:03Speaker 1: Patriot Mobile. Now, let's talk about them as a company.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Number one.
- 5:07Speaker 1: You get the same exact service you've been used to,
- 5:10Speaker 1: You use the same towers you're using right now. But
- 5:13Speaker 1: when you pay your bill, something amazing happens. They take
- 5:16Speaker 1: about five percent of your bill at no extra cost
- 5:19Speaker 1: to you, and they give it back to conservative organizations
- 5:23Speaker 1: and causes that support our First and Second Amendment rights,
- 5:27Speaker 1: that support the rights of unborn children. And they also
- 5:30Speaker 1: give donations to those that have fought for our country,
- 5:34Speaker 1: to first responders that risk their lives and get hurt
- 5:37Speaker 1: on the job, and to wounded warriors who need financial
- 5:41Speaker 1: help and aid. That is why I love Patriot Mobile.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Switching is really easy now in twenty twenty four, switching
- 5:49Speaker 1: is like not a big deal.
- 5:51Speaker 2: It used to be miserable and you'd be in the
- 5:52Speaker 2: store for hours.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Not when you switch to Patriot Mobile, all you got
- 5:56Speaker 1: to do is call them nine to seven to Patriot
- 5:59Speaker 1: that's nine seven to two Patriot nine seven to two
- 6:03Speaker 1: Patriot or online at Patriotmobile dot com slash ben that's
- 6:08Speaker 1: Patriot Mobile dot com slash ben. When you call them,
- 6:12Speaker 1: use a promo code Ben. You'll also get free activation.
- 6:15Speaker 1: So make the switch and make a difference with every
- 6:17Speaker 1: phone call you make Patriotmobile dot Com slash Ben or
- 6:20Speaker 1: nine seven to two Patriot. Take a listen to Trump's
- 6:24Speaker 1: lawyer back and forth with Justice Jackson, and you can
- 6:28Speaker 1: hear I'm reading into this, but I believe this is
- 6:31Speaker 1: a clear indication that even she knows that the Supreme
- 6:34Speaker 1: Court is going to rule in favor more than likely
- 6:38Speaker 1: for Donald Trump when it comes to presidential immunity.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Listen carefully.
- 6:42Speaker 5: Potential for criminal liability is taken off the table. Wouldn't
- 6:46Speaker 5: there be a significant risk that future presidents would be
- 6:49Speaker 5: emboldened to commit crimes with abandon while they're in office.
- 6:55Speaker 5: It's right now the fact that we're having this debate
- 6:58Speaker 5: because oh, we'll see his said that presidents might be prosecuted.
- 7:02Speaker 5: Presidents from the beginning of time have understood that that's
- 7:05Speaker 5: a possibility. That might be what has kept this office
- 7:09Speaker 5: from turning into the kind of crime center that I'm envisioning.
- 7:13Speaker 5: But once we say no criminal liability, mister president, you
- 7:17Speaker 5: can do whatever you want. I'm worried that we would
- 7:21Speaker 5: have a worse problem than the problem of the president
- 7:24Speaker 5: feeling constrained to follow the law while he's in officer.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Now you hear her there, She's like, in other words,
- 7:30Speaker 1: I want to rewrite two hundred and thirty four years
- 7:35Speaker 1: of precedent because I don't like Donald Trump. And she's saying,
- 7:40Speaker 1: I believe that presidents are just going to start, you know,
- 7:44Speaker 1: like over and over and over and over again, just
- 7:48Speaker 1: breaking the law and go rogue if we give them
- 7:53Speaker 1: the ability, which by the way, they've already had to
- 7:56Speaker 1: presidential immunity, like they've already had it. And to listen
- 8:00Speaker 1: to Trump's lawyer's response, it is a very clear and
- 8:06Speaker 1: concise response to this activist Supreme Court justice.
- 8:11Speaker 6: Yeah, I respectfully disagree with that, because the regime you've
- 8:15Speaker 6: described is the regime we've operated under for two hundred
- 8:17Speaker 6: and thirty four years. There has not been an expectation
- 8:20Speaker 6: based on two hundred and thirty four years of one
- 8:22Speaker 6: broken politic.
- 8:22Speaker 5: All right, let me ask you another question, hicker, Let
- 8:25Speaker 5: me ask you another question about this.
- 8:27Speaker 1: By the way, you notice how fast she just moved
- 8:29Speaker 1: on from that. She didn't want to hear his answer.
- 8:31Speaker 1: She wanted to put her statement up there that she
- 8:33Speaker 1: was a good lefty on the Supreme Court and his response,
- 8:38Speaker 1: I'm going to read it for you.
- 8:39Speaker 2: I respectfully disagree with that because.
- 8:41Speaker 1: The regime you've described is the regime we've operated under
- 8:46Speaker 1: for two hundred and thirty four years. And then she's like, crap,
- 8:50Speaker 1: that didn't work. Okay, I want to move on from that.
- 8:53Speaker 1: I have another question to ask you. And when the
- 8:56Speaker 1: Supreme Court arguments turn into basically like TV talking points,
- 9:01Speaker 1: like two talking heads debating, that's when you know there's
- 9:05Speaker 1: probably a problem here, Okay, I like, and when the
- 9:10Speaker 1: left goes rogue in this way, when the extreme justices
- 9:15Speaker 1: in the Court won't even listen to the answer, it's
- 9:19Speaker 1: the writing is pretty much on the wall here. And
- 9:21Speaker 1: by the way, that wasn't the only justice that went
- 9:23Speaker 1: crazy today at the Supreme Court. Justice Sude of my
- 9:27Speaker 1: Art did it as well. Saut of my Or got
- 9:30Speaker 1: in on this action. And I think it's because she
- 9:33Speaker 1: wanted to make a real court clear point that she
- 9:36Speaker 1: also hates Donald Trump. And and you just heard what
- 9:39Speaker 1: I let you hear from Jackson, and it was pretty
- 9:42Speaker 1: you know, extreme, And then listen to side of my Or, Well,
- 9:45Speaker 1: she goes even more extreme in her questioning. Here's her
- 9:49Speaker 1: back and forth with also the the lawyer who's representing
- 9:54Speaker 1: Trump at the Supreme Court.
- 9:56Speaker 7: Can be alleged, but it has to be proven. Melim
- 10:00Speaker 7: In say, is a concept long viewed as appropriate in law,
- 10:06Speaker 7: that there's some things that are so fundamentally evil that
- 10:10Speaker 7: they have to be protected against. Now, I think, and
- 10:17Speaker 7: your answer below, I'm going to give you a chance
- 10:22Speaker 7: to say, if you stay by it. If the president
- 10:25Speaker 7: decides that his rival is a corrupt person and he
- 10:34Speaker 7: orders the military or orders someone to assassinate him, is
- 10:39Speaker 7: that within his official acts for which he can get
- 10:43Speaker 7: community It would.
- 10:44Speaker 6: Depends on I without about we can see that could
- 10:46Speaker 6: well be an official.
- 10:47Speaker 7: He could and why because he's doing it for personal reasons.
- 10:51Speaker 2: He's not doing it.
- 10:54Speaker 7: Like President Obama is alleged to have done it to
- 10:57Speaker 7: protect the country from a terrorist. He's doing it for
- 11:01Speaker 7: personal gain. And isn't that the nature of the allegations here,
- 11:06Speaker 7: that he's not doing them doing these acts and furtherance of.
- 11:12Speaker 2: An official responsibility.
- 11:15Speaker 7: He's suing it for personal being.
- 11:17Speaker 6: I agree with that characterization of the indictment, and that
- 11:20Speaker 6: confirms immunity because the characterization is that there's a series
- 11:24Speaker 6: of official acts that we're done for.
- 11:25Speaker 7: It now, because immunity says, even if you did it
- 11:30Speaker 7: for personal gain, we won't hold you responsible.
- 11:35Speaker 2: What do you how could that be? That's an extremely
- 11:39Speaker 2: strong doctrine.
- 11:40Speaker 6: In this Court's case law in cases like Fitzgerald.
- 11:42Speaker 7: Will we go back to Justice Thomas's question, See, if
- 11:47Speaker 7: you want to know why elections are so important, this
- 11:52Speaker 7: is exactly why.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Because when you allow people to get on the Supreme
- 11:58Speaker 1: Court like Sodoma or who are so radical and hate
- 12:03Speaker 1: Donald Trump, they actually act like the crazies that we
- 12:06Speaker 1: see on the streets at these universities right now, for example,
- 12:10Speaker 1: I mean listen to her question.
- 12:11Speaker 2: This is at the Supreme Court level.
- 12:13Speaker 1: If the president decides that his rival is a corrupt
- 12:17Speaker 1: person and the orders of the military to assassinate him, is
- 12:21Speaker 1: that within his official acts for which he can give immunity.
- 12:25Speaker 2: This is what they have been doing to Trump.
- 12:29Speaker 1: And you got to understand now this is about scoring
- 12:31Speaker 1: political points, right You now have Supreme Court justices saying
- 12:35Speaker 1: that Donald Trump is going to go out there and
- 12:37Speaker 1: assassinate his political rivals, when in reality, what was happening
- 12:43Speaker 1: was the Democratic Party was coming after Donald Trump, trying
- 12:47Speaker 1: to put him in jail, trying to take his property
- 12:49Speaker 1: away from him, trying to frame him for crimes, trying
- 12:52Speaker 1: to get others to turn on him, going after that,
- 12:54Speaker 1: ran his campaign, going after General Flynn, trying to get
- 12:57Speaker 1: any dirt on they could to then kick him out
- 12:59Speaker 1: of office and impeach him over at dossier that they knew
- 13:02Speaker 1: was created by them, having an FBI that was going
- 13:05Speaker 1: after them, having an FBI that would protect at all costs,
- 13:10Speaker 1: Joe Biden, having an FBI that was there to protect
- 13:14Speaker 1: Hunter Biden, having an FBI that was not allowing for
- 13:20Speaker 1: interviews of the Biden crime family, and was allowing the
- 13:24Speaker 1: money to flow into the United States of America at
- 13:27Speaker 1: a record level.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Like if you want to know who was.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Assassinating their political opponent, you got to understand. This is
- 13:35Speaker 1: what they do in third world countries. They try to
- 13:37Speaker 1: they lock up people like Mandela, They lock up their
- 13:40Speaker 1: political rivals, so they just try.
- 13:41Speaker 2: To kill them.
- 13:43Speaker 1: Well, look at what they've tried to do to Donald Trump. Hey,
- 13:45Speaker 1: don't run again. If you do, hoho, Well, if you do,
- 13:48Speaker 1: then it's came on right. If you do, we're gonna
- 13:50Speaker 1: have some real problems. Here, and this is why I
- 13:53Speaker 1: believe that the Supreme Court is probably going to is
- 13:56Speaker 1: probably going to ruin favor of Donald Trump because because
- 14:00Speaker 1: of the arguments and how radical the arguments were by
- 14:03Speaker 1: the left justices. The Associated Press put it this way.
- 14:07Speaker 1: The US Supreme Court has taken up Donald Trump's bid
- 14:09Speaker 1: to avoid prosecution over zephorts overturn his twenty twenty election
- 14:13Speaker 1: loss to Democrat Joe Biden.
- 14:16Speaker 2: Arguments set to begin at ten am.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Trump's lawyers argue that former presidents are entitled to absolute
- 14:22Speaker 1: immunity for their official acts. Otherwise, they say, politically motivated
- 14:26Speaker 1: prosecutions of former occupants the oval office would become routine,
- 14:30Speaker 1: which is exactly what we've just witnessed of this president.
- 14:35Speaker 1: And presidents couldn't function as the commander in chief if
- 14:37Speaker 1: they had to worry about criminal charges after they left office, which,
- 14:40Speaker 1: by the way, is exactly what they've just done to
- 14:44Speaker 1: Donald Trump for the last three years and we all
- 14:48Speaker 1: know it. Lower courts have rejected those arguments, including a
- 14:52Speaker 1: nanimous three judge panel on an appeals court in Washington, which,
- 14:55Speaker 1: by the way, they forget to leave out the ap
- 14:57Speaker 1: It's a very liberal court that gets overruled by the
- 14:59Speaker 1: Supreme Court all the time time, and even if the
- 15:02Speaker 1: High Court resignlingly follows suit, the timing of its decision
- 15:05Speaker 1: may be as important as the outcome. The AP rights,
- 15:09Speaker 1: that's because Trump, the presumpt of twenty twenty four Republican
- 15:12Speaker 1: president nominee, has been pushing to delay the trial until
- 15:15Speaker 1: after the November election.
- 15:17Speaker 2: Why. It's not because afraid of the outcome.
- 15:19Speaker 1: It's because he doesn't want to be tied up in
- 15:21Speaker 1: court while he should be actually running for president the
- 15:24Speaker 1: United States of America. And this is the reason why
- 15:26Speaker 1: Democrats are obsessed with this case. They want him to
- 15:29Speaker 1: be in court, just like he's stuck in court every
- 15:31Speaker 1: day now in New York City and not out there
- 15:33Speaker 1: campaigning over a ridiculous hush money trial that the Feds
- 15:38Speaker 1: wouldn't even bring against Trump. It's basically double jeopardy, and
- 15:43Speaker 1: so they have him stuck in court so he can't
- 15:46Speaker 1: do his rallies. The AP goes on to write the
- 15:49Speaker 1: justices issue their decision, the more likely he is to succeed.
- 15:53Speaker 1: So I love how the AP's like, well, he's delaying it. No,
- 15:56Speaker 1: he's trying to delay it so he can run for
- 15:58Speaker 1: president of the United States of America. He's running. This
- 16:02Speaker 1: is election interference. Democrats are trying to interfere.
- 16:05Speaker 2: With the election. The Associated Press is.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Trying to jedi mind trick you into believing somehow this
- 16:10Speaker 1: is Trump's fault because he's trying to avoid basically having
- 16:14Speaker 1: to deal with the music right, having to deal with
- 16:17Speaker 1: being guilty of something. No, he's the Republican nominee, and
- 16:23Speaker 1: they're trying to get him in court every single day,
- 16:26Speaker 1: and every day he's in court instead of out there
- 16:28Speaker 1: campaigning is a massive advantage and election interference by the DOJ,
- 16:33Speaker 1: by the FBI, by the Biden administration, who, by the way,
- 16:36Speaker 1: is running against him. If you're Joe Biden and you're
- 16:40Speaker 1: the Biden campaign, where is the best place for Donald
- 16:43Speaker 1: Trump to be every day?
- 16:45Speaker 2: In court? Now?
- 16:47Speaker 1: The court typically issues its last opinions by the end
- 16:50Speaker 1: of June, which is roughly four months before the election.
- 16:55Speaker 2: So what does that mean.
- 16:57Speaker 1: It's very clear, very clear Democrats want this to come quickly,
- 17:03Speaker 1: and they want it to come quickly for one reason
- 17:06Speaker 1: and one reason only. They don't want him to be
- 17:09Speaker 1: able to campaign. I think they know this is crap.
- 17:13Speaker 1: I think they understand it is. I think you can
- 17:15Speaker 1: tell from justice side of my Ore and Jackson just
- 17:19Speaker 1: how ridiculous this entire thing is. The Supreme Court, and
- 17:23Speaker 1: I think there's a very good chance they're going to
- 17:25Speaker 1: come down and they're going to say, yes, the president
- 17:28Speaker 1: for the last two hundred and thirty four years has
- 17:30Speaker 1: presidential immunity on a basic level. And not only that,
- 17:36Speaker 1: but if he didn't, then the president couldn't do their job.
- 17:41Speaker 1: This is election interference. That's what it is, folks. It's
- 17:47Speaker 1: election interference, plain and simple. They need him in court,
- 17:53Speaker 1: and if they can keep him in court, they win.
- 17:57Speaker 7: All right.
- 17:58Speaker 1: I want to also get to something out here, and
- 18:00Speaker 1: it deals with the economy.
- 18:01Speaker 2: You may have seen that.
- 18:02Speaker 1: I mean, the Dow is down like six hundred points
- 18:04Speaker 1: at some point, which was shocking, and we're now learning
- 18:09Speaker 1: more about what's happening. The White House is coming out
- 18:13Speaker 1: defending the terrible economic news. White House brought out their
- 18:18Speaker 1: top guy, Bernstein, who said that Biden's economy is quote great,
- 18:24Speaker 1: and we will defend it all day long. This is
- 18:28Speaker 1: grocery inflation, according to Consumer Price Index, has been zero,
- 18:32Speaker 1: they say for the past two months. Well guess what
- 18:36Speaker 1: you're paying countless dollars more now for groceries than you
- 18:40Speaker 1: did a year, two, three years ago, and everybody knows it.
- 18:43Speaker 1: So the White House just flat out lying to your face.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Listen to this.
- 18:47Speaker 8: Now, we've seen a lot of news about energy from
- 18:49Speaker 8: this president, you know, limiting LG exports when it comes
- 18:53Speaker 8: to permitting future permits to non free trade agreements. You've
- 18:58Speaker 8: seen the Alaska wildlife refuge. They're taking thirteen point three
- 19:03Speaker 8: million acres off the table. That's putting pressure on gas prices,
- 19:06Speaker 8: which have been inching up over the past month. And
- 19:09Speaker 8: we've seen overall CPI inflation go up.
- 19:13Speaker 2: Maybe because of that.
- 19:14Speaker 8: Are you worried that inflation is not gone? First of all,
- 19:18Speaker 8: and you know it's hits here to stay.
- 19:21Speaker 9: We have a lot more work to do on lowering
- 19:24Speaker 9: costs on behalf of the American people, and that is
- 19:27Speaker 9: absolutely at the heart of our agenda. Whether it's negotiating
- 19:30Speaker 9: lower prescription drug prices, capping the price of insulin at
- 19:33Speaker 9: thirty five dollars a month, saving millions of Americans eight
- 19:36Speaker 9: hundred dollars a year on their insurance coverage.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Our work is definitely not.
- 19:42Speaker 8: But but Jared, lowering those costs are only for a
- 19:45Speaker 8: small portion of Americans. You know, a lot of Americans
- 19:49Speaker 8: are feeling all the gas prices going up. They're feeling,
- 19:52Speaker 8: you know, nineteen percent entries in all items, grocery items
- 19:56Speaker 8: up twenty one percent since President Biden came into office.
- 19:59Speaker 2: This is what people hold on.
- 20:01Speaker 9: Let's unwrap a lot of that, because I do want
- 20:03Speaker 9: to get to the gas price. So, grocery inflation, at
- 20:06Speaker 9: least according to the Consumer Price Index, has been zero
- 20:09Speaker 9: for the past two months.
- 20:11Speaker 8: Now.
- 20:11Speaker 9: That doesn't mean the grocery prices are back to where
- 20:14Speaker 9: we'd like to see them, but grocery inflation has flattened
- 20:17Speaker 9: a great deal and that certainly helps, especially in a
- 20:20Speaker 9: time when people's paychecks are beating prices again thirteen months
- 20:24Speaker 9: in a row, in a year over year basis. Mid
- 20:26Speaker 9: wage workers wages have beat prices. They're buying powers going up. Now,
- 20:31Speaker 9: let's talk about gas. So one of the things that.
- 20:34Speaker 1: I just have to laugh here for a second, that
- 20:36Speaker 1: stats as he's saying this are up on the screen
- 20:39Speaker 1: as the White House is lyned to that. Well, hold on,
- 20:42Speaker 1: I mean, things are great, right, We'll defend this economy
- 20:46Speaker 1: all day long.
- 20:47Speaker 2: We think it's amazing. How many of you think it's amazing.
- 20:50Speaker 1: The majority of Americans, by the way, do not believe
- 20:53Speaker 1: that things are amazing right now, because we're saying that
- 20:58Speaker 1: Bidenomics clearly equals major inflation and everybody knows it.
- 21:05Speaker 2: We're witnessing it right now.
- 21:07Speaker 1: In fact, Bloomberg put it this way on Bloomberg TV
- 21:12Speaker 1: earlier today.
- 21:13Speaker 4: This isn't going to make for great reading this morning,
- 21:16Speaker 4: and the Oval Office is it Bidenomics equals inflation. That
- 21:21Speaker 4: is not what Bidenomics, the narrative was supposed to align with.
- 21:26Speaker 10: Well, that's not what it represents. And look, I understand
- 21:30Speaker 10: this is your poll, you're gonna promote it, but I.
- 21:36Speaker 1: Think overall I love this. James Sperling is white House, Okay,
- 21:39Speaker 1: he's a white House guy. The guy he's like, well,
- 21:41Speaker 1: this is your poll, right. The polling shows the American
- 21:45Speaker 1: people believe that Bidenomics is a disaster and that the
- 21:50Speaker 1: president is not paying attention to just how bad it
- 21:52Speaker 1: is in this country economically. And so his response is, well,
- 21:56Speaker 1: this is your poll at Bloomberg, and this that you
- 22:00Speaker 1: guys are you're promoting your poll. Okay, So you're saying
- 22:04Speaker 1: at the same time, screw you to the American people, right,
- 22:08Speaker 1: that's what you're saying.
- 22:09Speaker 2: Am I wrong?
- 22:11Speaker 1: You're saying, well, I don't care what the poll says,
- 22:14Speaker 1: and the American people are hurting the American people. We
- 22:17Speaker 1: don't care that they're saying that Bidenomics isn't working very well.
- 22:21Speaker 1: We're going to keep running with this now. Bloomberg also
- 22:25Speaker 1: came up with this. Listen to this. Three quarters of
- 22:28Speaker 1: swing state voters say that Biden is responsible for how
- 22:32Speaker 1: they feel about the economy right now, and Trump has
- 22:35Speaker 1: increased his leads over Biden in swing states, and.
- 22:39Speaker 11: A majority of swing state voters med see worsening economic
- 22:43Speaker 11: conditions in the coming months, so it doesn't spell optimism for.
- 22:46Speaker 2: The Biden camp.
- 22:47Speaker 11: Less than one in five respondents say they expect inflation
- 22:50Speaker 11: and interest rates to be lower by the end.
- 22:52Speaker 2: Of the year.
- 22:53Speaker 11: And then more than three quarters say that Biden is
- 22:56Speaker 11: responsible for how they feel about the economy, which isn't
- 22:59Speaker 11: a very good mood, and more than half said that
- 23:01Speaker 11: he is very responsible.
- 23:03Speaker 1: More than half say is very responsible, and three quarters
- 23:06Speaker 1: say yeah, it's Biden is responsible for how they feel
- 23:10Speaker 1: about the economy. So the numbers are coming out the
- 23:14Speaker 1: numbers are clear. The American people are holding Joe Biden
- 23:18Speaker 1: accountable for Bidenomics, and they're holding them accountable for how
- 23:21Speaker 1: how bad things are right now in this country. Janet
- 23:25Speaker 1: Yellen coming out Treasury Secretary saying we have to we
- 23:29Speaker 1: have to have a sustainable fiscal policy and President Biden
- 23:34Speaker 1: is committed to that.
- 23:35Speaker 2: Really, because you guys are.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Spending one trillion dollars every one hundred day with a
- 23:40Speaker 1: Biden budget, right, So.
- 23:43Speaker 2: This is the promise.
- 23:45Speaker 4: Now.
- 23:45Speaker 1: The President is even out there today saying that we
- 23:48Speaker 1: got to get things under control in Syracuse, New York,
- 23:51Speaker 1: all right, and what did he have to say? He's
- 23:53Speaker 1: touting infrastructure. Infrastructure, folks, listen and all folks.
- 23:58Speaker 12: All over the years, I've asked been leaders like Sanjay
- 24:01Speaker 12: because the other team kept criticizing me for wanting to
- 24:04Speaker 12: make these investments, you know, things like the Infrastructure Bill,
- 24:08Speaker 12: which is over two million dollars and we're gonna have
- 24:11Speaker 12: a we have an infrastructure decade coming. Last guy had
- 24:14Speaker 12: Infrastructure Week and never showed up.
- 24:17Speaker 2: But that's your president of the United States of America.
- 24:21Speaker 1: The other team kept criticizing me for wanting to make
- 24:23Speaker 1: these investments.
- 24:24Speaker 2: We have an infrastructure decade coming.
- 24:27Speaker 1: Last guy had Infrastructure Week and never showed up, and
- 24:30Speaker 1: the audience laughed.
- 24:31Speaker 2: There's your pre planned line by the president.
- 24:33Speaker 1: Now, look, that may work in a room, okay, with
- 24:38Speaker 1: people that are paying to see you, paying to be there,
- 24:44Speaker 1: wanting to give you money because they believe in socialism.
- 24:47Speaker 1: But even listen to the president here saying, quote, we're
- 24:49Speaker 1: exporting American jobs, and you're supposed to clap for this, and.
- 24:55Speaker 12: It's clear we have the strongest economy in the world.
- 24:58Speaker 12: That's a fact, teen million new jobs.
- 25:01Speaker 2: Created in three and a half years.
- 25:03Speaker 12: Unemployment hasn't been as low for this long, for fifty years,
- 25:08Speaker 12: wages arise. Instead of importing foreign products, we're exporting and
- 25:13Speaker 12: exporting American jobs. We're exporting American products and creating American jobs.
- 25:19Speaker 1: We're exporting American jobs. It's clear we have the strongest
- 25:24Speaker 1: economy in the world. Ask the American people. They're not
- 25:26Speaker 1: buying the lies that you're telling them right now. They're
- 25:31Speaker 1: not buying this idea that you guys are somehow killing
- 25:35Speaker 1: it because they're living with these insanely high prices that
- 25:41Speaker 1: we're dealing with right now. It is obvious that the
- 25:45Speaker 1: president of the United States of America is in real
- 25:49Speaker 1: trouble when it comes to the economy of the American people.
- 25:52Speaker 1: I'll give you another headline, Biden's gains against Trump vanish
- 25:57Speaker 1: on deep economic issues.
- 26:00Speaker 2: New poll shows the.
- 26:02Speaker 1: President's trailing Trump in six of seven swing states. Is
- 26:05Speaker 1: a majority of poll respondency the economy worsening by the end.
- 26:09Speaker 2: Of the year. And what does he say. He says,
- 26:13Speaker 2: everything's great.
- 26:14Speaker 1: Donald Trump coming out to the media talking about these
- 26:17Speaker 1: new numbers as he's stuck in court with clear election interference.
- 26:22Speaker 1: Here is what he had to say about Bidenomics.
- 26:26Speaker 13: As you probably have heard, subverting things have happened that
- 26:30Speaker 13: the biggest seems to be that the GV just announces
- 26:35Speaker 13: all the way down to one point six percent of
- 26:37Speaker 13: the setting south. It's a good worse gas prices than
- 26:42Speaker 13: donaldll on.
- 26:43Speaker 2: You were just also.
- 26:44Speaker 13: Announced that seven dollars and sixty cents gas lady's going
- 26:48Speaker 13: way up, energy wants are going away up, and the
- 26:53Speaker 13: stock market is in a sense crashing. The numbers have
- 26:58Speaker 13: heardent is Bite now sketching up with them. It's lucky
- 27:02Speaker 13: that it's sketching up before even the police office. It's
- 27:06Speaker 13: supposed to get in theselfs. But this is bid noomics.
- 27:09Speaker 13: It's destroying our country at the border, destroying our country
- 27:13Speaker 13: with other countries. They no longer respect for the United States.
- 27:16Speaker 13: I think the dollars in tremendous trouble in terms of currency.
- 27:21Speaker 13: This is going to be the standard, and it's going
- 27:23Speaker 13: to be the standard with me with You're going to
- 27:26Speaker 13: lose the dollars the standard. That'll be like losing the
- 27:29Speaker 13: biggest war we've ever lost.
- 27:32Speaker 2: And it's a shade.
- 27:32Speaker 13: But it's all the way down to one point six,
- 27:35Speaker 13: So don't tell you that.
- 27:36Speaker 2: Nobody could that would be possible.
- 27:38Speaker 13: And it looks like it's heading.
- 27:39Speaker 2: Down from there.
- 27:41Speaker 1: President Donald Trump telling you the truth. The GDP just
- 27:44Speaker 1: announced it's all the way down to one point six
- 27:46Speaker 1: and it's heading south. Gasoline is going way up, Energy
- 27:50Speaker 1: costs are going way up. This is Bidenomics. This, by
- 27:53Speaker 1: the way, is what the election is going to be about.
- 27:56Speaker 1: This is exactly what it should be about. And when
- 27:59Speaker 1: it was an ounce this morning calling it stagflation, here's
- 28:03Speaker 1: what it sounded like at.
- 28:05Speaker 14: First quarter GDP the annual rate one point six percent
- 28:09Speaker 14: between January and March. The expectation was two point four percent.
- 28:14Speaker 14: This is a much lower than anticipated number. As a refresher,
- 28:19Speaker 14: the final three months of last year growth was three
- 28:22Speaker 14: point four percent. So we're going from three point four
- 28:25Speaker 14: percent all the way down to one point six percent.
- 28:28Speaker 14: The consumer is slowing down, inflation remains high. The Atlanta
- 28:32Speaker 14: Fed as of now has their GDP GDP now number
- 28:36Speaker 14: at two point seven. So there you have at one
- 28:38Speaker 14: point six percent. First look at first quarter two.
- 28:41Speaker 1: I don't see how Joe Biden overcomes this. And this
- 28:45Speaker 1: is exactly why they're going to try to lock up
- 28:47Speaker 1: Donald Trump.
- 28:48Speaker 2: This is what it's all about.
- 28:51Speaker 1: Make sure you share this podcast with your family and friends.
- 28:54Speaker 1: Please don't forget to rise a five star review and
- 28:57Speaker 1: I'll see you back here tomorrow
