- 0:01Speaker 1: You've been watching those where we found billions, tens of
- 0:05Speaker 1: billions of dollars of fraud and wasted abuse.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Elon Musk has done.
- 0:09Speaker 3: An amazing job.
- 0:10Speaker 2: I applify as him and his super geniuses.
- 0:13Speaker 4: You know, these are seriously few people you're listening to
- 0:16Speaker 4: the forty seven Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Good Saturday morning to you. Ben Ferguson with you, and
- 0:23Speaker 2: these are some of the stories that you may have
- 0:25Speaker 2: missed that we talked about this week on the forty
- 0:28Speaker 2: seven Morning Update. First up, you may remember the botched
- 0:31Speaker 2: withdrawal from Afghanistan in August of twenty twenty one cost
- 0:35Speaker 2: the lives of thirteen US service members. What was even
- 0:38Speaker 2: worse than that is the fact there was zero accountability.
- 0:41Speaker 2: No one lost their job under the Biden and Harris administration. Well,
- 0:45Speaker 2: we now have been told there is an investigation underway
- 0:49Speaker 2: to find out exactly what happened and what the cover
- 0:52Speaker 2: up was. I'll explain who's in charge of it in
- 0:54Speaker 2: just a moment. Also, the CIA is going after cartels
- 0:59Speaker 2: in Mexico using reaper drones, the same ones we use
- 1:02Speaker 2: in Iraq and Afghanistan to spy on the cartels. And finally,
- 1:07Speaker 2: Donald Trump is calling for major reform at the FAA.
- 1:11Speaker 2: So what did the media do? They're now blaming Donald
- 1:14Speaker 2: Trump and Elon Musk for a plane crash, not in
- 1:18Speaker 2: America but in Canada. It's the forty seven Morning Update
- 1:22Speaker 2: and it starts right now story number one. One of
- 1:25Speaker 2: the main promises that Donald Trump said if he was
- 1:28Speaker 2: re elected would be accountability. One of the things on
- 1:31Speaker 2: his list was clearly Afghanistan and the botch withdraw on
- 1:34Speaker 2: that arbitrary date from the Biden Harris administration. During that
- 1:38Speaker 2: US withdrawal from Afghanistan, in August of twenty twenty one,
- 1:42Speaker 2: thirteen US service members were killed in a suicide bombing
- 1:46Speaker 2: at Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul. It happened on
- 1:50Speaker 2: August to twenty sixth The attack was carried out by
- 1:54Speaker 2: isis K and also resulted in the deaths of more
- 1:57Speaker 2: than one hundred and seventy Afghan civilian. The thirteen US
- 2:01Speaker 2: service members that were killed included eleven Marines, one Navy Corman,
- 2:06Speaker 2: and one Army soldier. Additionally, eighteen other US service members
- 2:11Speaker 2: were wounded in that attack, and beyond this attack, several
- 2:14Speaker 2: other military and civilian casualties occurred throughout the withdrawal, but
- 2:18Speaker 2: the bombing was the deadliest single incident for US troops
- 2:21Speaker 2: in Afghanistan in over a decade. Not a single person
- 2:25Speaker 2: was held accountable for the decisions that were made on
- 2:28Speaker 2: that day or in the days before or after. It
- 2:31Speaker 2: was completely whitewashed by the Biden Harris administration because Joe
- 2:35Speaker 2: Biden was obsessed at saying he was the president that
- 2:39Speaker 2: ended America's longest war and he won a grand stand
- 2:42Speaker 2: on the anniversary of nine to eleven. Well, accountability is coming.
- 2:47Speaker 2: The Defense Secretary at the behest of the president has
- 2:51Speaker 2: now said in an interview that he has already picked
- 2:54Speaker 2: investigators who are going to be looking into the disastrous
- 2:57Speaker 2: Afghanistan withdrawal. Quote, We've already identified the folks that will
- 3:01Speaker 2: be in charge of that full investigation inside the Pentagon.
- 3:05Speaker 2: I don't have a timeframe on it. We've already waited
- 3:08Speaker 2: two and a half years, three years since what occurred.
- 3:12Speaker 2: I don't want to wait longer, but I always want
- 3:14Speaker 2: to get it right, he said now. In July of
- 3:17Speaker 2: twenty twenty one, as I mentioned, the Biden administration launched
- 3:20Speaker 2: that chaotic withdrawal of the US troops and the embassy
- 3:23Speaker 2: officials from Afghanistan that led to those thirteen US service
- 3:27Speaker 2: members dying. Part of the other untold story is the
- 3:30Speaker 2: fact that there are countless people that helped Americans, those
- 3:34Speaker 2: that were translators, those that risk their lives to save
- 3:37Speaker 2: American lives who were then hunted down by the Taliban
- 3:41Speaker 2: after we withdrew. Now, in addition to that, hundreds of
- 3:44Speaker 2: Americans were actually left behind. Despite the Biden administration touting
- 3:49Speaker 2: the withdrawal as a success and bragging about conducting the
- 3:53Speaker 2: quote largest withdrawal in American history. On its way out,
- 3:57Speaker 2: the US military conducted a strike meant to get the
- 4:00Speaker 2: suicide bomber made things even worse when it ended up
- 4:03Speaker 2: killing an AID worker and his family instead than Chairman
- 4:06Speaker 2: of the Joint Chiefs at the time, Mark Milly, touted
- 4:10Speaker 2: it as a quote righteous strike. No leader was held
- 4:14Speaker 2: accountable or fired for any of this. Only Marine Colonel
- 4:19Speaker 2: Stuart Scheller, who demanded accountability in a viral video, lost
- 4:24Speaker 2: his career. Now, the good news is President Trump tried
- 4:28Speaker 2: to write that wrong and appointed him as his senior
- 4:31Speaker 2: advisor to the Defense under Secretary for Personnel and Readiness again,
- 4:36Speaker 2: Thank goodness, Donald Trump was reelected. Headseth said, accountability is coming,
- 4:41Speaker 2: and that's what he wants the American people to know about. Quote.
- 4:44Speaker 2: The way you established real accountability is by establishing real
- 4:48Speaker 2: fact chains, chains of events information. What happened, why did
- 4:52Speaker 2: it happen, Who made the decisions, what was the reason
- 4:57Speaker 2: they made that decision, Why did they give or not
- 5:00Speaker 2: give advice? Why did they execute an order a certain way?
- 5:04Speaker 2: Did they speak up when they were supposed to or
- 5:07Speaker 2: did they sit quietly. I don't think there's anybody that
- 5:10Speaker 2: feels like there's been an honest accounting of what happened
- 5:14Speaker 2: in Afghanistan. That is our job, Pete hed Seth said,
- 5:18Speaker 2: So we're going to drive the full investigation and get
- 5:21Speaker 2: a full sense of what happened. And as I stated
- 5:24Speaker 2: to the workforce on Friday, I guess less than a
- 5:27Speaker 2: week ago, accountability will be coming for what happened in Afghanistan.
- 5:31Speaker 2: And what's important is to re establish trust at the
- 5:35Speaker 2: Defense Department.
- 5:36Speaker 4: Next story number two.
- 5:37Speaker 2: It's a sad reality. Mexico is an essence a failed state.
- 5:42Speaker 2: It is being controlled and run by the cartels. They
- 5:44Speaker 2: choose the leaders, and the leaders do what the cartels say, well,
- 5:48Speaker 2: there's two very interesting reports that are dealing with Mexico
- 5:51Speaker 2: now and our safety from drugs coming across our southern
- 5:55Speaker 2: border and also human trafficking. Fetanol, as you know, is
- 5:58Speaker 2: one of the biggest killers in this country. Where we
- 6:01Speaker 2: now have confirmation that the CIA is flying surveillance drones
- 6:06Speaker 2: over the cartels in Mexico. Multiple outlets are now reporting
- 6:11Speaker 2: the CIA is stepping up their drone flights. The currently
- 6:14Speaker 2: unarmed flights are said to be searching for fetnyl labs
- 6:18Speaker 2: that are run by the Mexican cartels designated by President
- 6:21Speaker 2: Donald Trump as foreign terrorist organizations. One US official saying
- 6:26Speaker 2: to The New York Times that the flights will go
- 6:28Speaker 2: well into sovereign Mexico quote unquote. Now, the flights reportedly
- 6:33Speaker 2: began during the Biden administration but were never really used
- 6:37Speaker 2: to stop the flow of the drugs. Then they were
- 6:40Speaker 2: stepped up by the new CIA director John Radcliffe after
- 6:43Speaker 2: President Trump made the foreign terrorist designation. The flights are
- 6:48Speaker 2: not authorized, we're being told at this point to use
- 6:50Speaker 2: lethal force. However, CIA officers are gathering the intelligence data
- 6:56Speaker 2: and they're passing it along to those that may need
- 6:59Speaker 2: to see it now. Tom Homan was asked about Mexico
- 7:03Speaker 2: in general in an interview that he did earlier. I
- 7:06Speaker 2: want you to hear what he had to say about
- 7:08Speaker 2: the country.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Let me ask you a question. It's against the law
- 7:12Speaker 1: in Mexico to traffic children, but they don't do anything
- 7:14Speaker 1: about it. It's against the law in Mexico to transit
- 7:17Speaker 1: through the country, but they don't do anything about it.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Is the Mexican government, in your opinion anti American.
- 7:23Speaker 3: Look, I agree with you. They don't enforce and they
- 7:26Speaker 3: allow illgo analyst all the world of transit Mexico without
- 7:28Speaker 3: a transit visa, which is against the law. By thinking,
- 7:30Speaker 3: President Trump has them where he wants them. They've now
- 7:33Speaker 3: put military on their northern border, in our southern border,
- 7:37Speaker 3: they are now participating and beginning to participating and remain
- 7:39Speaker 3: in Mexico. President Trump is demanded they take action and
- 7:43Speaker 3: we're monitorum. President Trump, you know, he's the game changer.
- 7:46Speaker 3: What we've been in office less than a month, and
- 7:49Speaker 3: I know us in the last twenty four hours, total
- 7:51Speaker 3: Southwest border apprehensions two hundred and twenty nine. Now, I
- 7:55Speaker 3: started the borderaturil in nineteen eighty four. I've never seen
- 7:57Speaker 3: those numbers, At least I don't remember seeing those numbers.
- 8:00Speaker 3: We went from eleven thousand day under Biden to two
- 8:02Speaker 3: hre and twenty nine. President Trump's already got Mexico where
- 8:05Speaker 3: he wants them, and he's going to force more on
- 8:07Speaker 3: them in their future.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Just quickly, Tom, because I'm up against a break. But
- 8:10Speaker 1: I got to ask you, the cartels are very powerful.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Is the US military use of the US military on
- 8:16Speaker 1: the table to hit cartel targets in Mexico.
- 8:19Speaker 3: That's something we're working on now. By I can tell
- 8:21Speaker 3: you that President Trump's made it. If Mexican cartels will
- 8:23Speaker 3: put a death threat against borbit realagients or a military,
- 8:27Speaker 3: if they hire a Borbital agent in the military, President
- 8:29Speaker 3: Trump will wipe them off the face of the earth.
- 8:32Speaker 2: There it is. Working on striking cartels in Mexico is
- 8:35Speaker 2: a real possibility now. President Trump declared those cartels foreign
- 8:39Speaker 2: terrorist organizations on his first day in office, and now
- 8:43Speaker 2: borders are home and is saying they're active discussions about
- 8:46Speaker 2: US military strikes on terrorist targets in Mexico. This is
- 8:50Speaker 2: we're being told that the Reaper drones are already working
- 8:54Speaker 2: on full time surveillance quote from CNN, the CIA is
- 8:59Speaker 2: flying the mq DASH nine Reaper drones. The drones are
- 9:03Speaker 2: equipped to deliver lethal payloads, but are not currently armed.
- 9:07Speaker 2: The mq DASH nine drones used for the mission are
- 9:11Speaker 2: not armed, but they can be equipped with payloads to
- 9:13Speaker 2: carry out precision strikes. The US regularly uses them to
- 9:17Speaker 2: target specially terras in Syria, Iraq, and Somalia. Well, go
- 9:21Speaker 2: back to the very first statement that I said earlier.
- 9:24Speaker 2: Donald Trump has already said that these cartels are in
- 9:29Speaker 2: fact foreign terrorists organizations.
- 9:32Speaker 4: And finally, story number three.
- 9:34Speaker 2: There's a very good chance you actually don't hate the
- 9:37Speaker 2: mainstream media as much as you should. A perfect example
- 9:40Speaker 2: of this is what happened on Monday. There was a
- 9:43Speaker 2: news story that broke, and that was a story that
- 9:46Speaker 2: Elon Musk and SpaceX were coming in to help overhaul
- 9:49Speaker 2: the FAA. Why. Well, after the deadly plane crash in Washington,
- 9:54Speaker 2: d C. Just a few weeks ago, it is very
- 9:57Speaker 2: clear that our FAA and our system that controls airplanes
- 10:02Speaker 2: is archaic and in much need of an upgrade. Well,
- 10:06Speaker 2: the media cannot stand what's happening with Donald Trump and
- 10:09Speaker 2: Elon Musk. So now they're trying to blame the two
- 10:12Speaker 2: of them for a plane crash that happened on Monday
- 10:16Speaker 2: outside of the United States of America. NBC News went
- 10:21Speaker 2: on live TV blaming Trump, Musk and Doge for an
- 10:26Speaker 2: airplane flipping while landing in Canada. Not in America, but
- 10:31Speaker 2: in Canada. Take a listen.
- 10:34Speaker 5: I did want to, you know, underscore, to pick up
- 10:36Speaker 5: on the conversation you were just having. Though in terms
- 10:39Speaker 5: of the recent string of aviation incidents, Tom, this is
- 10:42Speaker 5: gonna yet again raised a concern about FAA staffing, air
- 10:48Speaker 5: traffic control staffing. Now, this is a Canadian air traffic
- 10:52Speaker 5: control tower, and this is under Canadian authority once acrosses
- 10:55Speaker 5: the border. And yet, as you know, there has been
- 10:58Speaker 5: this talk about maybe staff cuts at the FAA as
- 11:01Speaker 5: a part of President Trump's effort to trim down the
- 11:04Speaker 5: federal workforce. And yet, as you also know, the FAA
- 11:07Speaker 5: has been complaining for years that they are understaffed and
- 11:10Speaker 5: critical job positions, especially air traffic control. I was having
- 11:14Speaker 5: a conversation with somebody today about whether air traffic control
- 11:17Speaker 5: in America is being affected by the staff cuts so far,
- 11:20Speaker 5: not to their knowledge. And yet other positions related to
- 11:24Speaker 5: maintaining critical equipment appear to have been cut. So this
- 11:27Speaker 5: is going to feed into all of these recent incidents,
- 11:30Speaker 5: and the safety of the total air traffic system is
- 11:33Speaker 5: going to be very much a part of the conversation
- 11:35Speaker 5: as we go forward, at least on this side of
- 11:37Speaker 5: the country of the border, I should say.
- 11:39Speaker 2: So, let's be clear about what you just heard. NBC
- 11:42Speaker 2: News is telling you that this plane was not under
- 11:46Speaker 2: the control of FAA. It was under the control of
- 11:49Speaker 2: Canada's air traffic control tower, and it was under quote
- 11:53Speaker 2: Canadian authority once it crossed the border. And yet they
- 11:57Speaker 2: are blaming Donald Trump and Elon Musk for fictitious job
- 12:03Speaker 2: cuts that had nothing to do with what was happening
- 12:06Speaker 2: in Canada. They also are saying that even after they
- 12:10Speaker 2: looked into this, no one is saying that the people
- 12:13Speaker 2: that were being cut by DOGE at the Transportation Administration
- 12:18Speaker 2: or the FAA had anything to do with unsafe flying
- 12:22Speaker 2: conditions or people not being in the tower to control
- 12:25Speaker 2: the airplanes. However, they still wanted you to blame Donald Trump,
- 12:31Speaker 2: Elon Musk, and DOGE for a plane that flipped over
- 12:34Speaker 2: in Canada, not in the United States. Of America. If
- 12:38Speaker 2: you don't hate the media after hearing this, you need
- 12:41Speaker 2: to pay more attention to exactly what they're doing. One
- 12:44Speaker 2: final thought on this story. As they're saying this on
- 12:48Speaker 2: NBC News, they are taking a picture of the plane
- 12:51Speaker 2: as it is flipped upside down and behind them on
- 12:54Speaker 2: the hangar in massive red letters, it says Air Canada.
- 12:59Speaker 2: Hopefully the American people are smart enough to be looking
- 13:02Speaker 2: at this crash and realizing this has nothing to do
- 13:05Speaker 2: with Donald Trump.
