- 2:04Speaker 2: Good morning everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 4: You'll listening to the voice, Come on dig me now,
- 2:09Speaker 4: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I do.
- 2:14Speaker 4: Took me when I said, but I do, like I
- 2:17Speaker 4: say always, it just is a constant reminder of how
- 2:21Speaker 4: good God has been. So my question to you is
- 2:24Speaker 4: what's stopping you from having the life that you want?
- 2:29Speaker 4: What's stopping you from having the life that you want?
- 2:33Speaker 4: I know a lot of people who have given up
- 2:37Speaker 4: on achieving the life of their dreams. But I know
- 2:42Speaker 4: they'd still want them if they could get to them.
- 2:45Speaker 4: But they just allowed to settle for so many reasons.
- 2:49Speaker 4: So who I'm talking to is you today? What's really
- 2:54Speaker 4: at the core of stopping you?
- 2:56Speaker 2: What is that?
- 2:57Speaker 4: Is it your friends or your associates, Is it the
- 3:01Speaker 4: fear of what you think somebody else will think of
- 3:04Speaker 4: you if you decide to change.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Is it what I used to call the call of
- 3:09Speaker 2: the wile?
- 3:10Speaker 4: Is it the fact that you keep thinking that the
- 3:13Speaker 4: thing that you're doing that's providing you these momentary moments
- 3:17Speaker 4: of pleasure that really ain't really good or healthy for you,
- 3:22Speaker 4: You don't want to stop doing that because you've got
- 3:24Speaker 4: just a little bit more something else you want to do.
- 3:26Speaker 4: I call that the call of the while. You know
- 3:29Speaker 4: it's just out there, them streets is calling you, Them
- 3:31Speaker 4: lights is calling you. You know, them girls is calling you.
- 3:34Speaker 4: Them guys that's on the wrong side keep calling you.
- 3:38Speaker 4: You can't seem to make a decision by the right guy.
- 3:40Speaker 4: You keep picking the wrong guy all the time. What
- 3:44Speaker 4: is it that's stopping you from having the life that
- 3:46Speaker 4: you really.
- 3:47Speaker 2: Want to have?
- 3:48Speaker 4: So whatever the reason you're choosing, that's the reason that's
- 3:52Speaker 4: stopping you from having the life that you want to have.
- 3:56Speaker 4: It's no good because at the end of the day,
- 3:59Speaker 4: here's the real deal. See, God is available, and God
- 4:03Speaker 4: is available for all of us, and God has a
- 4:06Speaker 4: plan for all of us, and God wants the very
- 4:08Speaker 4: best for all of us. That's the truth of the matter.
- 4:12Speaker 4: So now what we're gonna do to get started having
- 4:15Speaker 4: that life? First of all, if it's your friends, I
- 4:19Speaker 4: want you to understand something. Your friends can't save you.
- 4:22Speaker 4: A lot of your friends offer no real help for you.
- 4:25Speaker 4: Most of your friends don't have the answer themselves. I mean,
- 4:29Speaker 4: it's just a wide range of reasons and misery love company.
- 4:34Speaker 4: So usually when your friends are in a bad position,
- 4:37Speaker 4: they kind of like company in that bad position. Your
- 4:40Speaker 4: friends ain't going to church. You're going to be their friend.
- 4:43Speaker 4: They don't really want you to go to church. You know,
- 4:46Speaker 4: your friends don't pray, so why would they offer up
- 4:49Speaker 4: prayer as a solution to you. You know, your friends
- 4:53Speaker 4: don't really really get the fact that if you treat
- 4:58Speaker 4: people better, people would treat you better.
- 5:00Speaker 2: So what's that?
- 5:02Speaker 4: So your friends are a lot of times the reasons,
- 5:05Speaker 4: you know, to peer pressure of what and then the
- 5:08Speaker 4: thought in your mind of what they gonna think once
- 5:11Speaker 4: they find out I don't do what they do anymore.
- 5:14Speaker 4: Who cares what they think other than you? I mean, really,
- 5:19Speaker 4: you can't let what somebody thinks of you stop you
- 5:22Speaker 4: from having the best life you wanted to have. If
- 5:25Speaker 4: I went by that theory right there, wouldn't I wouldn't
- 5:28Speaker 4: even be on this mic this morning. I would have
- 5:31Speaker 4: never become a stand up I would had I listened
- 5:34Speaker 4: to the people around me who clearly told me when
- 5:37Speaker 4: I quit my job to pursue this, boy, don't you
- 5:40Speaker 4: quit your job? You got a family, Boy, don't you
- 5:43Speaker 4: do this. You ain't got no bit that, ain't no
- 5:46Speaker 4: security in that. Get yourself a job. Go down here,
- 5:49Speaker 4: and what's your brothers? Go to work over here?
- 5:51Speaker 2: Go to I heard all of that.
- 5:54Speaker 4: I didn't let that stop me from pursuing this. Why
- 5:57Speaker 4: would you allow that to stop you from pursuing your
- 6:00Speaker 4: relationship with God so you can have the best life
- 6:02Speaker 4: you could possibly have. You gang bang because they've convinced
- 6:06Speaker 4: you that this is the family situation and love that
- 6:10Speaker 4: you don't have, and they've convinced you that this is
- 6:12Speaker 4: your only way, your only source of getting over and
- 6:17Speaker 4: then you drum up these ignorant reasons mass for staying
- 6:21Speaker 4: with it. But they sound so good when you listening
- 6:25Speaker 4: to everybody else you surrounded by telling you why we
- 6:28Speaker 4: gang banging, why we holding this block down? Why we
- 6:32Speaker 4: slanging this thing here right here? Why we letting it
- 6:35Speaker 4: go like this here? You keep listening to them when
- 6:38Speaker 4: all in your heart of hearts you know this ain't right.
- 6:41Speaker 4: You already know, but you allow that form of the
- 6:46Speaker 4: call of the wile that wanting to be accepted by
- 6:49Speaker 4: a group of people who trying to get you to
- 6:52Speaker 4: accept the way, so you con further they progress to
- 6:54Speaker 4: even prove that you're worthy to be around them, You
- 6:58Speaker 4: got to commit some type of came to even prove
- 7:01Speaker 4: that you're worthy to be around them.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Then when you get busted on the crime, what happens.
- 7:06Speaker 4: To that where your family are Now they don't come
- 7:09Speaker 4: down there to see you because guess what, they can't
- 7:12Speaker 4: turn in They idea to death at a law enforcement center.
- 7:15Speaker 2: So now your homies can't come visit you.
- 7:17Speaker 4: And then you know your family back out here, they
- 7:20Speaker 4: ain't taking care of your family because it's all about them.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Then you learn that what is it that's stopping you
- 7:26Speaker 2: from having the life that you always wanted to have?
- 7:29Speaker 3: What is it?
- 7:30Speaker 4: Why are you a repeat offender? Why do you keep
- 7:34Speaker 4: checking yourself back into that institution?
- 7:38Speaker 1: Why?
- 7:38Speaker 4: Man, why won't you get it together? Why won't you
- 7:41Speaker 4: give God a try? Why won't you disassociate yourself. Why
- 7:45Speaker 4: would you continue to be a part of a revolving
- 7:48Speaker 4: door system and becoming a farm system for these institutions
- 7:53Speaker 4: that ain't got nothing for you?
- 7:55Speaker 2: But you keep going back in there.
- 7:56Speaker 4: And then every time you go in there, and now
- 7:57Speaker 4: your little homies or your gang banging, little little silly
- 8:01Speaker 4: little friends try to make you think that's a badge
- 8:03Speaker 4: of honor. There ain't no badge of honor. Man, that's
- 8:06Speaker 4: one mold. What's one mode scratch on that record? That's
- 8:09Speaker 4: one mold. That's one more nail in that coffin. That's
- 8:13Speaker 4: one step closer to that third strike where you ain't
- 8:15Speaker 4: gonna ever get out. It's one step closer to that graveyard.
- 8:19Speaker 2: You keep on.
- 8:21Speaker 4: Why would you not give God a try? Why would
- 8:24Speaker 4: you not go and see what your life could really be?
- 8:27Speaker 4: What is it that's stopping you? Because see, I got
- 8:30Speaker 4: news for you. There's nothing like waking up free. I
- 8:34Speaker 4: don't care who you are. There's nothing like waking up
- 8:38Speaker 4: with the joy in your heart. Now, if you ain't
- 8:40Speaker 4: gonna be free, get the joy in your heart, the
- 8:43Speaker 4: satisfaction of knowing that you're accomplishing something with your life.
- 8:47Speaker 4: Help somebody behind them, balls get in the program, show
- 8:50Speaker 4: these young cats when they come in a better way.
- 8:52Speaker 2: But don't you.
- 8:53Speaker 4: Dash sit there, man and just ride it out, and man,
- 8:57Speaker 4: just go and get the full life that you can have.
- 9:01Speaker 4: What you know what it feels like to wake up
- 9:04Speaker 4: and be on your way somewhere, knowing that you have
- 9:07Speaker 4: something to accomplish, that you can change somebody, that you
- 9:10Speaker 4: can stop somebody from going down the roads you went down.
- 9:13Speaker 4: It's a whole lot of ways to make your life better.
- 9:15Speaker 4: But why would you not go and have the best
- 9:17Speaker 4: life you can have? What is that's stopping you?
- 9:21Speaker 2: Really? Really?
- 9:23Speaker 4: So you think that Satan really has your best interest
- 9:27Speaker 4: at heart, That the little thing your mama kept telling
- 9:29Speaker 4: you about praying you wasn't listening, was you. But you know,
- 9:32Speaker 4: it ain't ever too late to get back to that.
- 9:35Speaker 4: It ain't ever too late to turn around, It ain't
- 9:38Speaker 4: ever too late to get your life together, it ain't
- 9:40Speaker 4: ever too late to seek God, and it ain't ever
- 9:43Speaker 4: too late to pray. Don't forget to pray, don't be
- 9:47Speaker 4: ashamed to pray, and don't be too proud to pray,
- 9:50Speaker 4: because prayer changes things. Prayer change people too I'm a
- 9:55Speaker 4: witness to that.

- 12:14Speaker 4: in radio, one of the best voices I've ever heard.

- 14:35Speaker 2: If you hould thank you thank you. Hello, right, I'm
- 14:41Speaker 2: trying to reach outs polation. How you doing?
- 14:44Speaker 9: It's a turney over the associates. All right, I want
- 14:48Speaker 9: to give you a call. I just got your file
- 14:50Speaker 9: that hit my desk, and we got a check going
- 14:52Speaker 9: out to you on Monday. You came in yesterday, correct, Yes, Okay, listen,
- 14:56Speaker 9: we got a few little glitches here.
- 14:59Speaker 2: We want to go.
- 15:00Speaker 9: I want to go over with you and make sure
- 15:02Speaker 9: we get this all ironed out before you come in
- 15:04Speaker 9: on Monday, and I'll have a check definitely waiting on
- 15:07Speaker 9: you when you get here.
- 15:08Speaker 2: All right.
- 15:09Speaker 9: You're supposed to be getting six four hundred and ten dollars, okay,
- 15:13Speaker 9: Unfortunately is being reduced to twelve hundred due to injuries
- 15:18Speaker 9: not being as as bad as they say. It was
- 15:21Speaker 9: a lot of calculations got really mixed up on our
- 15:23Speaker 9: paperwork here. And please keep in mind that on the
- 15:25Speaker 9: twelve hundred, we still haven't taken out our fee, which
- 15:27Speaker 9: is like about thirty three and the third. We'll have
- 15:30Speaker 9: a check for you on Monday in the ballpark of
- 15:32Speaker 9: four to five hundred dollars.
- 15:33Speaker 10: Oh hold hold up, okay, I'm still getting it. So
- 15:38Speaker 10: what was the total mind that y'all got from the lass,
- 15:41Speaker 10: from the from the sure.
- 15:43Speaker 9: Evidently the person that did these calculations completely did them wrong.
- 15:46Speaker 9: I do apologize for this being a mishap on our
- 15:50Speaker 9: part and it's totally screwed up. And I do apologize
- 15:53Speaker 9: on the behalf of the of the association here that
- 15:56Speaker 9: we've dropped the ball on that. But your actual check
- 15:59Speaker 9: has been reduced to twelve hundred dollars, okay, and that's
- 16:03Speaker 9: without us taking the law fees out of it.
- 16:05Speaker 10: So I just found right because I was six thousand
- 16:10Speaker 10: dollars cover the doctor bill and the chi practice.
- 16:13Speaker 9: Well, from my understanding, man, what they're also stating is
- 16:16Speaker 9: that your injuries are not that bad, and I don't
- 16:19Speaker 9: want to be the bear of bad news.
- 16:21Speaker 2: They're actually wondering if you were actually hurt at all.
- 16:24Speaker 10: So I even had to get injections okay from the conpractice.
- 16:28Speaker 9: Okay, And do you have any you I have some
- 16:31Speaker 9: medical documents here, and I understand that you've been going
- 16:34Speaker 9: and you probably looked like you went over at least
- 16:36Speaker 9: at least two months going to the doctor and getting
- 16:39Speaker 9: and getting therapy, and and I was.
- 16:41Speaker 10: His call, that was achipractice call. That wasn't my decision.
- 16:45Speaker 2: Okay, Well, at this called from my injuries.
- 16:49Speaker 9: Exactly, and a lot of a lot of these doctor
- 16:50Speaker 9: fees that you've gone to eat, eating up a lot
- 16:54Speaker 9: of these funds. And I tell you, these doctor bills
- 16:56Speaker 9: they get pretty high out there. I do want to
- 16:58Speaker 9: apologize what we're gonna do here, since we've dropped the
- 17:01Speaker 9: ball on this. We're gonna give you the check for
- 17:03Speaker 9: twelve hundred and not even take the loft fees out
- 17:06Speaker 9: of it, and I'll have that check waiting on you
- 17:08Speaker 9: on Monday morning.
- 17:10Speaker 10: That's still okay. I understand what you're saying. We're trying
- 17:13Speaker 10: to figure out is from the I need to see
- 17:18Speaker 10: some paperwork of stating what was the total mount check
- 17:22Speaker 10: that was written from the insurance company, plus what was
- 17:26Speaker 10: the portion that was supposed to be taken out for
- 17:28Speaker 10: the chiropractice, plus it was a portion that was supposed
- 17:30Speaker 10: to be taken out from a doctor's itself. That you're
- 17:33Speaker 10: telling me six thousand that's not gonna wouldn't have covered
- 17:36Speaker 10: that and leave me with only twelve hundred.
- 17:38Speaker 9: Okay, I'm not at liberty to let you look at
- 17:40Speaker 9: this paperwork anymore. I'm calling you basically to let you
- 17:44Speaker 9: know I have twelve hundred dollars check for you. If
- 17:46Speaker 9: you don't want that, then you can go ahead and
- 17:49Speaker 9: take some other ligal.
- 17:51Speaker 10: I mean that is a sign of right, Robert. I
- 17:53Speaker 10: mean from the entire month, because I got the paperwork
- 17:56Speaker 10: from the chiropractor stating what Mount was paid.
- 18:00Speaker 9: Understand that, ma'am. I'm what I'm trying to let you
- 18:02Speaker 9: numbny issues there there. What's going on right now is
- 18:04Speaker 9: the response coming back is that you're not actually hurt
- 18:07Speaker 9: at all. That's what they're saying. They're saying you're not
- 18:10Speaker 9: hate at all. Actually, I don't want to use the words,
- 18:13Speaker 9: but they're saying that you've been faking this the whole time.
- 18:15Speaker 10: I need to see some paperweight with far time to
- 18:18Speaker 10: check it. This doesn't sound right and that doesn't mean
- 18:20Speaker 10: any sense.
- 18:21Speaker 9: Well, all right now, you know, I'm the last person
- 18:23Speaker 9: that that this file is gonna come across. It's coming
- 18:25Speaker 9: across my desk. This is pretty much a take it
- 18:28Speaker 9: or leave it option, you know.
- 18:29Speaker 10: And if you don't leave, no, no, no, no, I
- 18:33Speaker 10: mean you love to get at to me because you
- 18:34Speaker 10: are my lord and I'm your client.
- 18:36Speaker 9: Well you're not gonna raise your voice. You're not gonna
- 18:39Speaker 9: raise your voice, said me. That's not gonna happen either.
- 18:42Speaker 9: So let's let's pipe it down a bit. Okay, Now
- 18:45Speaker 9: here's what we're gonna do. Do you want the twelve
- 18:47Speaker 9: hundred dollars check or do you not want it?
- 18:49Speaker 2: Now? I've already wavered the fees of the of the
- 18:52Speaker 2: attorneys here. Do you want the twelve hundred or do
- 18:54Speaker 2: you want me to reduce it to four hundred?
- 18:56Speaker 10: No, I don't want twelve hundred, becau, I'm gonna take
- 18:58Speaker 10: you to court.
- 18:59Speaker 3: So that is a shot. Supposed to be my lawyer.
- 19:02Speaker 9: I'm being the best attorney that you probably could afford,

- 19:34Speaker 9: file a lawsuit on somebody?
- 19:36Speaker 2: Now you want to file a lawsuit on me? You
- 19:38Speaker 2: know if you're going way too far with this.
- 19:41Speaker 4: This isn't I want to talk to.
- 19:43Speaker 2: I've never heard well, now you've heard of me.

- 19:50Speaker 9: going to stand you uh uh dismantling me.
- 19:54Speaker 2: The way that you're doing.
- 19:55Speaker 10: I just have to get a lawyer to sue you.
- 19:57Speaker 10: That's not accessible.
- 19:58Speaker 2: I got one more thing.
- 19:59Speaker 9: This is if you tire me from the Steve Harvey

- 22:16Speaker 8: In entertainment news, the class of twenty twenty six Hollywood
- 22:20Speaker 8: Walk of Fame has been announced.
- 22:22Speaker 1: It's wedding season.
- 22:23Speaker 8: First Jeff Bezos and now Cleveland Brown's quarterback Steve DeShawn
- 22:28Speaker 8: Watson has tied the knot. We'll talk about that doctor.
- 22:33Speaker 8: Also in trending fun news, Chuck E. Cheese has launched
- 22:37Speaker 8: Arcades for Adults. Arcades for Adults. We'll talk about all
- 22:41Speaker 8: of these stories at the top of the hour. Yeah,
- 22:44Speaker 8: but right now it is time to ask the COLO
- 22:47Speaker 8: or Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey.
- 22:49Speaker 1: All right, this is from Angel in t Neck. Colo.
- 22:54Speaker 8: Angel writes, I spent a week with my parents in Ohio.
- 22:57Speaker 8: My dad told me that he doesn't love my mom
- 22:59Speaker 8: anymore and he wants to move out, but he needs
- 23:02Speaker 8: to know that I'll take care of my mom if
- 23:04Speaker 8: he leaves her, I don't want that responsibility.
- 23:08Speaker 1: What do I tell him?
- 23:10Speaker 2: God?
- 23:11Speaker 4: Well, yeah, well you know, I mean what do I
- 23:16Speaker 4: tell him? Tell him that you don't want the responsibility?
- 23:21Speaker 4: You know, I mean, I don't know what else to
- 23:23Speaker 4: tell you. See, he wants you to take care of her,
- 23:28Speaker 4: but he wants to leave. See all right, First of all,
- 23:32Speaker 4: Daddy got something else he did. Daddy wont to go
- 23:35Speaker 4: do something else. Yeah, people do fall out of love,
- 23:39Speaker 4: people change, people view things differently.
- 23:42Speaker 2: But who you are today is not who you were yesterday.
- 23:45Speaker 2: That's the case with all of us.
- 23:48Speaker 4: So your dad made a decision that's not your responsibility though,
- 23:52Speaker 4: and you just have to tell him that. Dad, just
- 23:55Speaker 4: like you have to honor your decisions and you're free
- 23:58Speaker 4: to make yours. I want to be able to be
- 24:00Speaker 4: free to make mine too, And that doesn't include taking
- 24:03Speaker 4: care of your mom. Now how old are they is
- 24:05Speaker 4: the number one question?
- 24:07Speaker 2: Right? And because now, if.
- 24:09Speaker 4: Your mama was bedridden or something like that and he
- 24:12Speaker 4: tied and he leave it and he got to make
- 24:15Speaker 4: some other arrangements, it can't be you.
- 24:18Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, because what you can't.
- 24:20Speaker 4: Do if it's a medical reason why your mother needs
- 24:23Speaker 4: caring for or he's just saying stop buying check on
- 24:26Speaker 4: her because it's gonna devastate her. That's a whole nother thing.
- 24:30Speaker 4: So I don't know enough particulars, but I mean, i'd
- 24:33Speaker 4: always look out for my mom if I was you.
- 24:36Speaker 4: But at the same time, if he's talking about becoming
- 24:38Speaker 4: a caregiver, then POPCORNA had to make some arrangements.
- 24:42Speaker 8: Okay, all right, Moving on to Marcus in Monroe. Marcus says,
- 24:46Speaker 8: I had sex with my cousin's girlfriend. I didn't know
- 24:50Speaker 8: they were dating. She had sex with me on purpose.
- 24:53Speaker 2: To start over Shirvis.
- 24:55Speaker 1: All right, this is from.
- 24:56Speaker 8: Marcus and Monroe, Steve. He said, I had sex with
- 25:00Speaker 8: if my cousin's girlfriend. He didn't know they were dating.
- 25:04Speaker 8: She had sex with me on purpose to make my
- 25:07Speaker 8: cousin mad. I don't want any parts of this. Should
- 25:10Speaker 8: I be honest with him about how it went down?
- 25:13Speaker 8: Or wait to see if she tells him? Oh wow, Yeah,
- 25:19Speaker 8: that's that's a lot.
- 25:21Speaker 2: I could have hit her in.
- 25:23Speaker 1: Yeah, this is the case where what he should do?
- 25:27Speaker 2: What felo lie? That's a tough one.
- 25:32Speaker 4: Well, see the truth is that, see he don't have
- 25:37Speaker 4: to lie, but the truth ain't gonna be good though.
- 25:43Speaker 2: No, but you understand, so I ain't saying you gotta lie.
- 25:48Speaker 4: Is all we're trying to figure out is should you
- 25:50Speaker 4: say something or not?
- 25:52Speaker 2: Period?
- 25:54Speaker 4: But now if you wait and she says something first,
- 26:00Speaker 4: how she frames it could look messed up for you
- 26:03Speaker 4: if you try to get out in front of this
- 26:06Speaker 4: mm hmm, this is gonna look bad anyway.
- 26:09Speaker 2: This this this chick is trifling.
- 26:11Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, yeah, she's gonna use two relatives to get
- 26:17Speaker 4: back at each other. Now, I don't see why either
- 26:20Speaker 4: one of y'all want her myself?
- 26:23Speaker 2: Well, what is it gonna.
- 26:26Speaker 4: So he didn't know that that his cousin was dating
- 26:30Speaker 4: the girl. He didn't know, Man, I had no idea.
- 26:36Speaker 4: She came to me to get with me.
- 26:39Speaker 8: Boy, that's catchy, but he's got don't you think he's
- 26:42Speaker 8: got to say something though, because if she says something,
- 26:45Speaker 8: it's really gonna be bad.
- 26:48Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, see, but what is she gonna say though.
- 26:53Speaker 1: That Well I left with ship.
- 26:55Speaker 2: Yeah, she.
- 26:57Speaker 1: She's trifling, so she'll say I slept with your cousin.
- 27:01Speaker 2: Well, then i'll get ahead try to.
- 27:03Speaker 1: Get with me. He tried to get with me.
- 27:05Speaker 2: Your cousin tried, I will get ahead of him.
- 27:07Speaker 1: Yeah, Yeahcauz.
- 27:09Speaker 4: Look, man, I ain't know nothing about this being your girlfriend.
- 27:12Speaker 4: But here's what happened. And man, this is crazy. And
- 27:16Speaker 4: then she told me that afterwards, and she tried to
- 27:19Speaker 4: get mad with you. But had I known this, it's
- 27:21Speaker 4: no way I would have did this.
- 27:23Speaker 2: But I didn't know. Bro. I'm just coming to you
- 27:25Speaker 2: like a man, so you can know what you're dealing with.
- 27:27Speaker 1: Yeah, So tell the truth. He's going to be mad.
- 27:31Speaker 9: Is the only truth we're gonna tell y'all to tal
- 27:37Speaker 9: he only one, all right, and let's get back to
- 27:40Speaker 9: line next.
- 27:42Speaker 8: Coming on to Rosandra in Norcross, Risanda writes, I was
- 27:47Speaker 8: entertaining a man in my bedroom and my seven year
- 27:50Speaker 8: old knocked on the door and asked if my company
- 27:53Speaker 8: was spending the night.
- 27:54Speaker 3: Oh.
- 27:54Speaker 1: I was embarrassed, so I asked the man to leave.
- 27:58Speaker 1: He said, I need to discipline my son. What did
- 28:01Speaker 1: he do wrong?
- 28:03Speaker 3: Sure?
- 28:04Speaker 4: Well, he's seven. Yeah, I don't know that he did
- 28:07Speaker 4: nothing wrong. Right, Hey, man, I live here. You don't
- 28:11Speaker 4: live here. That's my mama, Dad, ain't your mama. I
- 28:15Speaker 4: don't see nothing that the seven year old did wrong?
- 28:18Speaker 4: Discipline your son? He's seven, right, I won't talk to
- 28:23Speaker 4: my mama now. He don't care who is there.
- 28:27Speaker 1: He spend that night? Is he spending the mama?
- 28:29Speaker 2: What you having to sleepover?

- 29:02Speaker 8: they are so young. She said, it's unfair that I
- 29:05Speaker 8: don't want to be involved in her personal life. Do
- 29:08Speaker 8: I have to get to know these young people?
- 29:12Speaker 2: Well? Your wife young, don't. Yeah, you know. Now, every
- 29:19Speaker 2: now and then you're gonna have to swallow it and
- 29:22Speaker 2: just you know, go out on a couple of little

- 30:00Speaker 1: And that's what they do with young people. Then I

- 56:51Speaker 8: Well, thank you, nephew. And the subject is why is
- 56:54Speaker 8: our friendship confusing to him? Dear Stephen Shirley, My ex
- 56:58Speaker 8: husband and I didn't speak for four years after our divorce.
- 57:02Speaker 8: Our daughter graduated from college and she told me that
- 57:06Speaker 8: her dad got an airbnb and I was welcome to
- 57:08Speaker 8: stay with him. I'm always trying to save money, so
- 57:12Speaker 8: I called him to see if he was cool with
- 57:14Speaker 8: me staying with him. Not only did he offer me
- 57:17Speaker 8: the extra bedroom, he said I could ride with him.
- 57:21Speaker 8: So we struck out and on the way to the graduation,
- 57:24Speaker 8: we laughed and talked like the good old days. He
- 57:27Speaker 8: let me have the big bedroom at the airbnb, so
- 57:31Speaker 8: I did all of the cooking. He said he missed
- 57:34Speaker 8: talking to me and the great sex. I acted like
- 57:37Speaker 8: I didn't hear that. He respected my space all weekend.
- 57:41Speaker 8: On the way home, he asked if we could keep
- 57:43Speaker 8: in touch. I told him it was fine. A week
- 57:46Speaker 8: passed and I didn't hear from him. Then out of nowhere,
- 57:50Speaker 8: he called me and told me to let up the
- 57:52Speaker 8: garage because he had a bottle of vodka and a pizza.
- 57:56Speaker 8: I reluctantly let him come in and we watched a movie.
- 58:00Speaker 8: He kept hinting on how good we were together and
- 58:03Speaker 8: how he hasn't had great sex since we divorced. Since
- 58:06Speaker 8: we got divorced, I told him that we're friends, so
- 58:10Speaker 8: he had to stop talking about the past because we're
- 58:13Speaker 8: better as just friends. After that, we didn't talk for
- 58:16Speaker 8: a few weeks. Then he called me and said he
- 58:19Speaker 8: just showered and he was naked and asked me if
- 58:22Speaker 8: I wanted to face time with him. I was so
- 58:24Speaker 8: disgusted that I yelled at him. He said that sex
- 58:28Speaker 8: is common with exes, and he insisted that he was
- 58:31Speaker 8: coming over. I told him that if he did, I
- 58:34Speaker 8: would call the police. I am shocked that he thinks
- 58:37Speaker 8: I want to hook up with him, He said, I'm
- 58:39Speaker 8: sending him mixed signals. Why is our friendship confusing to him?
- 58:44Speaker 8: Is it best to forget about him again? Well, you
- 58:47Speaker 8: never told us why you broke up in the first place,
- 58:50Speaker 8: But yes, it is better to forget about him if
- 58:53Speaker 8: you don't want him. Clearly, he wants the sex and
- 58:56Speaker 8: benefits without the strings.
- 58:58Speaker 1: So if you're not trying to get back with him,
- 59:01Speaker 1: tell him it's a hard no for you and mean it.
- 59:05Speaker 8: Don't try to be his friend, don't try to engage
- 59:07Speaker 8: him in any kind of way, riding up, getting in
- 59:09Speaker 8: his Airbnb, all of that.
- 59:11Speaker 1: He wants to sleep with you, period.
- 59:14Speaker 8: He's too aggressive with the two open the garage, I
- 59:17Speaker 8: got vodka and pizza.
- 59:19Speaker 1: What he should at least try He should at least
- 59:23Speaker 1: try to romance you. Come on. All he wants to
- 59:30Speaker 1: do with that.
- 59:32Speaker 8: He says it's uncommon for exes to have sex, and
- 59:36Speaker 8: you know for ex it's not uncommon for exus to
- 59:39Speaker 8: have sex. And since he accused you of sending mixed signals,
- 59:43Speaker 8: please get him straight. Tell him you are not interested
- 59:47Speaker 8: in ever getting back together with him, like Taylor Swift said,
- 59:51Speaker 8: and her song is nothing mixed about that.
- 59:54Speaker 1: He should understand that.
- 59:55Speaker 4: Steve, y'all so crazy? What is wrong with all y'all
- 1:00:00Speaker 4: for writing a letter, you for trying to explain the letter.
- 1:00:03Speaker 4: Let me just go get to this right now. Why
- 1:00:06Speaker 4: is our friendship confusing to him?
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: He don't want to be your friend? How many times
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: I gotta tell y'all that quit.
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: Talking, don't get frustrated.
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: Just come on vacation back.
- 1:00:20Speaker 4: Somebody wanna be them? Why is our con friendship confusing
- 1:00:24Speaker 4: to him? When he first met you, he ain't want
- 1:00:28Speaker 4: to be your friend. When he married you, y'all.
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: Was molding friends. Now that he divorced you, why would
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: he just want to be your friends? What is wrong?
- 1:00:40Speaker 4: Why is our friendship confusing to him? I don told
- 1:00:46Speaker 4: y'all we don't want to be your friends. Now let's
- 1:00:50Speaker 4: get to this other part. De sending mixed signals?
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: He your ex husband y'all to speak for our years
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: after the divorce. Four years. Okay, now you're ready, and
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: I listen to this.
- 1:01:04Speaker 4: My daughter graduated from college and she told me that
- 1:01:08Speaker 4: her dad got in and.
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: B and B and I was welcome to stay with him.
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: Where you think that came from? It came from him.
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: He had the daughter call you to tell you that
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: his daughter is in cohoodes with him. Trying to get
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: y'all back together.
- 1:01:31Speaker 4: He said, Hey, call your mama and tell your mama
- 1:01:33Speaker 4: that I got in there, b and B and if
- 1:01:36Speaker 4: she want to stay there, she can stay there. Oh daddy,
- 1:01:39Speaker 4: that'll be so good y'all to be other for my graduation. Yeah,
- 1:01:42Speaker 4: call you mamma and tell us.
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: See what she says.
- 1:01:45Speaker 4: She told me her dad got nare and be and
- 1:01:47Speaker 4: I was welcome to stay with him. With him, not
- 1:01:50Speaker 4: them him. I'm always trying to save money. Here she go, misfrugal,
- 1:01:56Speaker 4: miss dollar general. Now here, you come down here on
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: say some money, you know, you dollar General. So I
- 1:02:03Speaker 4: called him to see if it was cool with me
- 1:02:05Speaker 4: staying with him. Not only did he offer you the
- 1:02:09Speaker 4: extra bedroom, he said I could ride with him as planned.
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: So we struck out on the way the graduation, laughed
- 1:02:17Speaker 4: and talk like the good old days. He let you
- 1:02:19Speaker 4: have the big bedroom at the Airbnb, said he missed
- 1:02:21Speaker 4: talking to you and the great set. I act like
- 1:02:24Speaker 4: I ain't hear that, But he said it though, and
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: he said it in that little tight room, and he
- 1:02:32Speaker 4: know good and well.
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: You heard it.
- 1:02:34Speaker 4: He was trying to see if you was gonna bite
- 1:02:37Speaker 4: because you staying in the air and b and you
- 1:02:39Speaker 4: up the hallway. He gave you the big bedroom because
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: he was playing on sleeping in there anyway.
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: Stupid.
- 1:02:47Speaker 4: Why our friendship confusing? He ain't said nothing friendly to
- 1:02:52Speaker 4: you yet.

- 1:05:36Speaker 4: with him. Now we riding down there, laughing, talking like
- 1:05:39Speaker 4: the good old days. He let me have the big
- 1:05:41Speaker 4: bedroom at the air and b so I did all
- 1:05:43Speaker 4: the cooking.
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: He said.
- 1:05:44Speaker 4: He was talking to me in the great Sex acting
- 1:05:47Speaker 4: like I didn't hear that all, but he know you
- 1:05:49Speaker 4: heard it. But he said it in that the tight room.
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: He know you hurt it.
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: Now he respected my space all weekend. On the way home,
- 1:05:59Speaker 4: if he he asked if we can keep in touch?
- 1:06:01Speaker 4: Taking his slow walking the dog, that's what you call
- 1:06:04Speaker 4: walking the dog. It's how you walk the dog slow. First,
- 1:06:09Speaker 4: you just go to the door with the leash. The
- 1:06:11Speaker 4: dog look happy, You clip it on it. Then you

- 1:06:33Speaker 2: Hot dog.
- 1:06:36Speaker 4: See, y'all been married. We ain't got to start this
- 1:06:38Speaker 4: dating over with. Let's start with the bottle of vodka
- 1:06:42Speaker 4: and the pizza. Now, if you'd have been over Mississippi
- 1:06:45Speaker 4: Monica's house, it had to be teetos. Now you got
- 1:06:49Speaker 4: it home with teetos and shoot at the garage door open?
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: Well, how did he say it to us?
- 1:06:55Speaker 4: Babe, Hey, open the door, open the garage. I got
- 1:07:00Speaker 4: some pizza and some vodka. That the baby open the garage. Now,
- 1:07:11Speaker 4: let me tell you something. See what y'all don't know is, yeah,
- 1:07:14Speaker 4: pizza and vodka has worked in the past many times,
- 1:07:21Speaker 4: so he know he got the right thing. He didn't
- 1:07:24Speaker 4: come over there with no snapper and some egg play.
- 1:07:27Speaker 4: He came over there with vodka and a pizza because
- 1:07:31Speaker 4: it didn't work, and he told me to let the
- 1:07:34Speaker 4: garage up because he had to bollume. I reluctantly let
- 1:07:37Speaker 4: him come in and we watched the movie. You know
- 1:07:40Speaker 4: why he got in.
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: He had vodka and pizza, and she liked both of them.
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: And you know, she cheap.
- 1:07:46Speaker 4: She always trying to save money. So now she ain't
- 1:07:48Speaker 4: got to buy no dinner. She ain't got an instacart,
- 1:07:51Speaker 4: nothing here and free liquor. And she already shopped at
- 1:07:55Speaker 4: Dollar General. If you say that one more time, I'm
- 1:07:59Speaker 4: telling you right now, she is not gonna be with
- 1:08:01Speaker 4: Jamal Bryan on this dollar jump.
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: She's not doing that because she's wanted to say it.
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: She like to save money.
- 1:08:08Speaker 4: We already did Target. Now tomorrow, we're not gonna be
- 1:08:14Speaker 4: the We just ain't gonna there to go nowhere in
- 1:08:15Speaker 4: a minute. You just put Walmart in there and we
- 1:08:19Speaker 4: just stay at home. We just be shopping down there
- 1:08:21Speaker 4: at the quick trip. They ain't got nothing in now.
- 1:08:27Speaker 4: Time I go down there, they out to be s potty.
- 1:08:30Speaker 4: You can't get nothing in there. I reluctantly let him
- 1:08:33Speaker 4: come in and we watched the movie. He kept hitting
- 1:08:35Speaker 4: on how good we were together and how he ain't
- 1:08:38Speaker 4: had great set since we got divorced. I told him
- 1:08:41Speaker 4: we're friends, so he had to stop talking about the
- 1:08:43Speaker 4: past because we're better just as friends. He asked, you,
- 1:08:48Speaker 4: could y'all be friends? He ain't Bryan at Bottle Box
- 1:08:53Speaker 4: and so y'all could be friends. If he was trying
- 1:08:57Speaker 4: to be your friend, he'd have brought you a new
- 1:08:59Speaker 4: copy of Jesus Calling by Sarah Young. He ain't trying
- 1:09:02Speaker 4: to be your friend. He came over there with a
- 1:09:04Speaker 4: bottle of vodka. Yeah, he didn't come over there with
- 1:09:07Speaker 4: no Bible. You know what Bible study were gonna do scriptures.
- 1:09:10Speaker 4: He came over there with a bottle of vodka.
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: Got some goose open there with that great goose. After that,
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: we didn't talk for a few weeks.
- 1:09:21Speaker 4: Then he called me and said he just showered and
- 1:09:24Speaker 4: he was naked and asked me if I wanted to
- 1:09:26Speaker 4: FaceTime with him. I was so disgusted that I yelled
- 1:09:29Speaker 4: at him. He said that sex is coming with exes,
- 1:09:32Speaker 4: and he insisted he was coming over. I told him
- 1:09:35Speaker 4: if he did, I would call the police. I'm shocked
- 1:09:38Speaker 4: that he thinks I want to hook up with him,
- 1:09:39Speaker 4: he said, I'm sending him mixed signal. The miss signal
- 1:09:42Speaker 4: was when you went down there and stayed in at am,
- 1:09:44Speaker 4: b up the hallway. That's the mixed signal. When you
- 1:09:47Speaker 4: open up the door and let him in with that vodka,
- 1:09:49Speaker 4: that pizza, that was the mixed signal. Why is our
- 1:09:52Speaker 4: friendship confusing him? Because he don't want to be your friends?

- 1:11:20Speaker 4: right there.
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: And that you got you got?

- 1:13:33Speaker 8: Huh hopeful, hopeful. Let's go for hopeful Junior.

- 1:13:47Speaker 2: We got the best mustard.
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: I don't know, Thank you, thank you, keep working on Junior.
- 1:13:54Speaker 8: Coming up at the top of the hour, young man
- 1:13:57Speaker 8: on social media needs some advice, Steve. He says, my
- 1:14:00Speaker 8: mom's new husband wants me to call him dad. We'll
- 1:14:03Speaker 8: talk about it right after this. Yeah, you're listening to
- 1:14:07Speaker 8: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, this is
- 1:14:14Speaker 8: from DeAndre on Steve HARVFM. DeAndre says, I'm seventeen years
- 1:14:18Speaker 8: old and my mother just got remarried. Now, I don't
- 1:14:21Speaker 8: have a problem with her new husband. However, he is
- 1:14:25Speaker 8: insisting that I call him dad. I have a dad already.
- 1:14:29Speaker 8: I love my pops and he is very involved in
- 1:14:32Speaker 8: my life. I don't think it's cool that I'm being
- 1:14:35Speaker 8: asked to put my real dad to the side. How
- 1:14:38Speaker 8: do I tell Dad number two to chill out?
- 1:14:41Speaker 4: Well, well, listen to this man. I understand what you're saying.
- 1:14:48Speaker 4: And the advantage that you have is you have a
- 1:14:50Speaker 4: great relationship with your father. Oftentimes that's not the case.
- 1:14:55Speaker 4: So you are very very fortunate that even though it
- 1:14:57Speaker 4: didn't work out between your parents, father still very much
- 1:15:01Speaker 4: in your life. That's a great thing. Yes, there's no problem,
- 1:15:05Speaker 4: but remember this and you say you don't have a
- 1:15:07Speaker 4: problem with him. A lot of times when you blend
- 1:15:10Speaker 4: in a family, what the confusion comes in as the
- 1:15:14Speaker 4: kids is you know you can actually love two people.
- 1:15:18Speaker 4: You can and it's okay to love two people. If
- 1:15:21Speaker 4: this new husband is being good to you and treating
- 1:15:24Speaker 4: you family, then just had the best relationship you can
- 1:15:27Speaker 4: with him. And you always have a relationship with your father,
- 1:15:29Speaker 4: because you just said you have a great relationship with him, so.
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: Good kudos to that.
- 1:15:34Speaker 4: But kudos to the man that also steps in to
- 1:15:37Speaker 4: take in the space of gaps, because a lot of
- 1:15:39Speaker 4: men who step into women's lives who have children, they
- 1:15:42Speaker 4: deserve a plaque for doing that. So it could be
- 1:15:45Speaker 4: an advantage to have these two men in your life.
- 1:15:49Speaker 4: If I was you, I can understand you. It's not
- 1:15:51Speaker 4: saying that's not your dad. What's the alternative? What do
- 1:15:55Speaker 4: you want to call him? What you want to call him?
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: Roger, something like this, you know, or you could just.
- 1:16:08Speaker 4: Call him something, give him a secondary name, a title
- 1:16:11Speaker 4: like a pop or something like that, or.
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: You know something you know that that wouldn't hurt you know.
- 1:16:20Speaker 4: I mean, I understand the guy wants to work really well,
- 1:16:25Speaker 4: you ain't gotta call him dad. Dad means a lot, Yeah,
- 1:16:30Speaker 4: it really. Dad is more than father, Yes it is.
- 1:16:38Speaker 2: I said. Oftentimes any man can be a father.
- 1:16:42Speaker 4: That's all you gotta do. Is make the donation to
- 1:16:44Speaker 4: the egg and you become a father. Take a special
- 1:16:47Speaker 4: man to be a dad.
- 1:16:50Speaker 8: All right, we have time for another one, Steve, thank
- 1:16:53Speaker 8: you for that. This is from Tiffany and Steve Harvey FM.
- 1:16:57Speaker 8: She says, I've been seeing this guy for a couple
- 1:17:00Speaker 8: of months and things are going really well. He's thoughtful,
- 1:17:03Speaker 8: funny and genuinely kind. But he doesn't want to have sex.
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: Shit.
- 1:17:08Speaker 8: He says it's because he thinks we have something special
- 1:17:10Speaker 8: and doesn't want to rush it, which sounds sweet, but
- 1:17:13Speaker 8: it's also the longest I've ever been in a relationship
- 1:17:17Speaker 8: without things getting physical. I don't want to pressure him,
- 1:17:21Speaker 8: but I can't help wondering if something else is going on.
- 1:17:25Speaker 8: How do I know if he's being sincere or if
- 1:17:27Speaker 8: this is some kind of red flag.
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: It's only man, Yeah, nobody want a good man.
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it's only been two months.
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: It's only been two months. He hybe? Maybe he waiting
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: on you to, you know, see if you fall in
- 1:17:45Speaker 2: love with him. So when he you finally do get
- 1:17:47Speaker 2: to it, he you know, maybe he you know, sometimes
- 1:17:52Speaker 2: you need to let a woman be in love with
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: you before you give it to it, because what you
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: got ain't really you know that.
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: Wait, repeat what you just said.
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: No, sometimes you have to wait and hope a woman
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: fall in love with you or what you've got ain't
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: all that.
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: And that sounds like that's what she's worried about.
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, I don't think that's the case though, Oh
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: what do you think it is?
- 1:18:26Speaker 4: I think what Tommy just said is some women just
- 1:18:29Speaker 4: don't want a good man and as good man qualities, Mandy,
- 1:18:33Speaker 4: guy could be just treating you super respectful.
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: That's very true.
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: I ain't never no two months that I had no sex.
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: Yeah, we doing exactly.
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I ain't ready to love Steve. She ready to
- 1:18:44Speaker 2: have sex? Ain't ready?
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: All right, guys, thank you.
- 1:18:48Speaker 8: Coming up next, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey
- 1:18:51Speaker 8: Morning Show twenty minutes after. Right after this, you're listening
- 1:18:55Speaker 8: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Here's a question for you, guys.
- 1:19:03Speaker 8: What's the best part of summer to you? That's what
- 1:19:07Speaker 8: a new survey has asked two thousand American adults, and
- 1:19:11Speaker 8: it finds that for thirty six percent, summer is their
- 1:19:14Speaker 8: favorite time of year when it comes to the most
- 1:19:17Speaker 8: iconic summer feelings like barbecuing, or grilling aroma tops the list. Okay,
- 1:19:22Speaker 8: barbecuing or grilling aroma, that's what tops the list, it says,
- 1:19:26Speaker 8: followed by hanging out near the water, the beach or
- 1:19:29Speaker 8: a pool, or hanging just hanging out with your family,
- 1:19:32Speaker 8: going to family reunions. So here's a question, what is

- 1:25:20Speaker 8: day on this Tuesday, and Steve, before you do your
- 1:25:24Speaker 8: closing remarks, we want to remind everyone the Community Foundation
- 1:25:28Speaker 8: of the Texas Hill Country has launched the Kerr County
- 1:25:32Speaker 8: Flood Relief Fund to support response, relief, and long term
- 1:25:37Speaker 8: recovery efforts. All donations will go directly to trusted local organizations.
- 1:25:43Speaker 8: You can go to Community Foundation dot net for more information.
- 1:25:48Speaker 8: That's community Foundation dot net for more information. And again,
- 1:25:52Speaker 8: as always, we're praying. We're praying for your families, and
- 1:25:56Speaker 8: yes we are with recovery please.
- 1:25:59Speaker 4: Yes, so sad and the water came up so fast man, Yeah,
- 1:26:04Speaker 4: you know it was nothing nobody could do about it.
- 1:26:06Speaker 4: And like I was saying earlier, thinking about closed remarks
- 1:26:10Speaker 4: the other day, I was just talking about how I
- 1:26:12Speaker 4: wish the media would be a little bit more respectful
- 1:26:15Speaker 4: to the families that are still searching for love ones
- 1:26:18Speaker 4: with the hope of finding them alive, but with having
- 1:26:23Speaker 4: to face reality that a lot of these people are
- 1:26:25Speaker 4: missing because they're gone and it's.
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: Just a long, long haul.
- 1:26:30Speaker 4: I wish people be more respectful. You know, we live
- 1:26:32Speaker 4: in a world now where we seem to be so unforgiving.
- 1:26:38Speaker 4: I don't understand that anymore. It's like nobody has forgiveness
- 1:26:43Speaker 4: in their heart anymore for anybody, you know. But if
- 1:26:46Speaker 4: it were you, you know, I've learned a lot as
- 1:26:50Speaker 4: I closed the show. I've learned a lot about.
- 1:26:55Speaker 2: Faith and.
- 1:26:58Speaker 4: In the Lord's Prayer, which I've really began to really
- 1:27:02Speaker 4: really break down and really understand over the last few years.
- 1:27:07Speaker 4: You know that the certain line, our Father, who are
- 1:27:10Speaker 4: in heaven, how will be thy name, that keingdom come,
- 1:27:12Speaker 4: that will be done on earth as it end is
- 1:27:14Speaker 4: in heaven.
- 1:27:16Speaker 2: Give us this day our daily bread.
- 1:27:21Speaker 4: That means, give me what I need to get through today,
- 1:27:25Speaker 4: because the human body, the human spirit is built to
- 1:27:30Speaker 4: live in twenty four hour increments, and even the day
- 1:27:33Speaker 4: is so much that he broke it up where you
- 1:27:35Speaker 4: can sleep a portion of that so you can recover.
- 1:27:38Speaker 4: That's how challenging and how challenging life is for us.
- 1:27:44Speaker 4: If you put your all and all into today, that's
- 1:27:48Speaker 4: enough that it's gonna take everything you have really to
- 1:27:53Speaker 4: make it through the day.
- 1:27:54Speaker 2: Now. You can have plans, hopes, dreams, aspirations for tomorrow,
- 1:27:58Speaker 2: but you got to live for today.
- 1:28:00Speaker 4: Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us
- 1:28:05Speaker 4: our trust passes as we forgive those who trustpass against us.
- 1:28:12Speaker 2: That's a big one, man, That's a really really big one.
- 1:28:17Speaker 2: And you know why he put that in there, because
- 1:28:20Speaker 2: we all gonna need forgiveness, all of us. I don't
- 1:28:25Speaker 2: care who you are, I don't care what church you
- 1:28:29Speaker 2: go to. You gonna need forgiveness because we are all sinners,
- 1:28:34Speaker 2: all of us.
- 1:28:35Speaker 4: I don't care if you saved by grace, you are
- 1:28:38Speaker 4: still a sinner all of us, every last one of us.
- 1:28:46Speaker 4: And we are going to need forgiveness. And it's going
- 1:28:49Speaker 4: to be based on how we forgive others and forgive us.
- 1:28:55Speaker 4: Our trust passes as we forgive those who trustpass against us.
- 1:29:00Speaker 2: It's simple.
- 1:29:01Speaker 4: You're asking God to treat you the way you treat others.
- 1:29:05Speaker 4: Forgive me as I forgive those who trespass against me.
- 1:29:09Speaker 4: That's a tough one because think of the people you
- 1:29:12Speaker 4: are not willing to forgive. Think of the people that
- 1:29:16Speaker 4: you can't wait to see one more time. I saw
- 1:29:18Speaker 4: something funny on Instagram one day. I was scrolling through
- 1:29:22Speaker 4: and it says I'm gonna get baptized but I got
- 1:29:26Speaker 4: two more people.
- 1:29:27Speaker 2: I want to drag cross the concrete first. And I
- 1:29:31Speaker 2: just laughed at that because I said.
- 1:29:34Speaker 4: This, dude, say I'm gonna get baptized, but I got
- 1:29:39Speaker 4: two people I want to drag cross the concrete first,
- 1:29:42Speaker 4: and then I'm gonna turn.
- 1:29:43Speaker 2: Myself in And I laugh because that's been me.
- 1:29:47Speaker 4: That has been me, and I've had to work on that, man,
- 1:29:52Speaker 4: and forgiven everybody for everything they've done to you.
- 1:29:57Speaker 2: That's hard, But.
- 1:29:59Speaker 4: Then guess what, you're finna go to God for that
- 1:30:03Speaker 4: for same forgiveness though you're finn to go to God
- 1:30:07Speaker 4: for that same thing. And it's just amazing, man, how
- 1:30:11Speaker 4: people judge like you know, it's it's it's people, Uh
- 1:30:16Speaker 4: Puffy need to do life for what he's done. Well,
- 1:30:19Speaker 4: he's not gonna get life. He's not gonna get life.
- 1:30:22Speaker 4: And now you could be mad about that if you
- 1:30:23Speaker 4: want to, but he's not getting ready to get life.
- 1:30:26Speaker 4: That's the law. And you can want it to be
- 1:30:28Speaker 4: a different way if you want to. It's people who
- 1:30:31Speaker 4: have never forgiven Chris Brown. Chris Brown has the right
- 1:30:35Speaker 4: as a young man to get his life together and
- 1:30:38Speaker 4: move on. And we don't have the right to hold
- 1:30:41Speaker 4: him to his past, because you ain't trying to let
- 1:30:45Speaker 4: nobody hold you to your past. Do you know how
- 1:30:47Speaker 4: many mistakes you've made? You know, the only thing with
- 1:30:49Speaker 4: all's mistakes is you wasn't famous, so you did doors
- 1:30:53Speaker 4: in the cloak of darkness, and people don't know what
- 1:30:56Speaker 4: all the dirt you'd be done.
- 1:30:58Speaker 2: But you've had that.
- 1:30:59Speaker 4: You've had to ask people to forgive you, and you've
- 1:31:01Speaker 4: had to ask God to forgive you.
- 1:31:04Speaker 2: You can't hold people like that because you don't want
- 1:31:07Speaker 2: to be held.
- 1:31:08Speaker 4: Everybody makes mistakes, and everybody deserves the right to recover
- 1:31:15Speaker 4: from their mistakes because if you didn't, your past would
- 1:31:19Speaker 4: define who you are. But no, what the mistakes do
- 1:31:23Speaker 4: is they don't define you. They redefine you. They reshape you,
- 1:31:27Speaker 4: they redirect you. So y'all just start thinking about some
- 1:31:32Speaker 4: forgiveness sometimes while you scrolling online and passing judgment, remember
- 1:31:37Speaker 4: forgive us how trustpasses as we forgive those who trustpass
- 1:31:40Speaker 4: against us. Because you're gonna need it real soon, because
- 1:31:43Speaker 4: I got news for you. You're a sinner and you
- 1:31:45Speaker 4: finished singing real sin. Sooner, y'all have a good day today.
