Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome and his verdict with Center Ted Cruz. The Week
- 0:04Speaker 1: in Review, Ben Ferguson with you. We had some big
- 0:06Speaker 1: stories that you may have missed that we talked about
- 0:08Speaker 1: this week. First up, poll numbers helping Donald Trump get
- 0:12Speaker 1: his agenda done. Just how big are the poll numbers
- 0:15Speaker 1: for the president and what does it mean about the
- 0:17Speaker 1: media who's still coming after him? Will break that down
- 0:20Speaker 1: for you. Also, Doe just come out and found four
- 0:23Speaker 1: point seven trillion in untraceable spending. Was it done deliberately
- 0:30Speaker 1: by the government so no one would know where your
- 0:32Speaker 1: tax dollars are going. Will break that down for you
- 0:35Speaker 1: as well. And finally, Pam Bondi, the Attorney General of
- 0:39Speaker 1: the United States of America, joins us, talking about the
- 0:42Speaker 1: relationship she has with other people in the administration and
- 0:46Speaker 1: just how important it is that they are friends and
- 0:48Speaker 1: working together. It's the weekend Review and it starts right now.
- 0:52Speaker 1: When I was at the Bush administration, we were on
- 0:55Speaker 1: the campaign. If you had a poll on something we
- 0:58Speaker 1: wanted that was above fifty three percent, that was like
- 1:02Speaker 1: a home run. If you were at fifty five percent
- 1:04Speaker 1: or above, it was like a mandate. I have not
- 1:07Speaker 1: seen sixty percent polls like these in decades have you
- 1:12Speaker 1: on these types of issues?
- 1:14Speaker 2: And to see ABC reporting on it and you're right,
- 1:16Speaker 2: Jonathan carl is very dismayed to be reporting on it.
- 1:19Speaker 2: He's shaking his head. But a king Jefferies looks like
- 1:22Speaker 2: he's filming a hostage video. He's just terrified. Why are
- 1:25Speaker 2: you asking me this? Because he doesn't want to say no,
- 1:29Speaker 2: I don't agree with Trump on anything, because when you're
- 1:31Speaker 2: on the wrong side of a bunch of sixty forty issues,
- 1:34Speaker 2: that's a recipe to lose elections. But he doesn't want
- 1:37Speaker 2: to say yes, I agree with Trump on anything because
- 1:40Speaker 2: his base hates Trump so much they'll lose their mind
- 1:44Speaker 2: and go nuts. So all he can say is, well,
- 1:46Speaker 2: it's just the beginning. I hope things will go wrong
- 1:49Speaker 2: and then then we can celebrate the things are going wrong.
- 1:52Speaker 3: It is astounding, astonishing.
- 1:54Speaker 1: I should say that this is now where we are,
- 1:57Speaker 1: but this turns into what I call a man date,
- 2:00Speaker 1: a supermandate, and it just means keep going Trump, keep going.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Republicans.
- 2:05Speaker 1: What does this do to some of your colleagues who
- 2:08Speaker 1: maybe didn't want to go along with some of these
- 2:10Speaker 1: types of things when they see these poll numbers. Is
- 2:12Speaker 1: this going to make it easier to get things done
- 2:14Speaker 1: in Congress as well? I would hope so.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Well, it certainly should. And by the way, I'll tell
- 2:19Speaker 2: you historically, for the last four years, every Democrat voted
- 2:23Speaker 2: on the wrong side of these issues. On the question
- 2:26Speaker 2: of are there two sexes male and female? Every single
- 2:29Speaker 2: Democrat the Senate voted no over and over and over again.
- 2:32Speaker 2: On the question of deporting illegals, every Democrat and the
- 2:35Speaker 2: Senate voted no over and over and over again. On
- 2:38Speaker 2: the question of more oil and gas exploration, virtually every Democrat,
- 2:42Speaker 2: actually Joe Manchin would vote yes occasionally, Joe Manchin isn't
- 2:46Speaker 2: there anymore. So every Democrat that remains in the Senate
- 2:49Speaker 2: has voted no over and over and over again. On
- 2:52Speaker 2: the question of declaring an emergency on the Southern border, again,
- 2:55Speaker 2: every Democrat voted no. And so the Democrat Party, listen,
- 3:00Speaker 2: you're in a crisis. If you're on the wrong side
- 3:02Speaker 2: of sixty forty issues across the board. Well, that's how
- 3:06Speaker 2: you get the kind of election we had November. That's
- 3:08Speaker 2: how you get a president elected with more than three
- 3:11Speaker 2: hundred electoral votes. That's how you get a president who
- 3:13Speaker 2: of the seven swing states wins all seven. That's how
- 3:16Speaker 2: you get a Republican Senate and a Republican House. Because
- 3:20Speaker 2: the Democrats on the issues, they're not listening to the
- 3:23Speaker 2: American people. They're listening to the crazy fringe. And I
- 3:27Speaker 2: don't see a whole lot of indication that they're moving.
- 3:31Speaker 2: You know, It's a fascinating question, is are there Democrats
- 3:35Speaker 2: in the party who say, gosh, we've gotten so far
- 3:38Speaker 2: out of the mainstream, we're really we're really listening to
- 3:43Speaker 2: just a fringe. Let's get back to the middle. They're
- 3:45Speaker 2: one or two people saying that. But I got to say,
- 3:49Speaker 2: all right, I want you to listen to James Carville.
- 3:52Speaker 2: James Carvill is a Democrat through and through. Listen to
- 3:56Speaker 2: what James Carville had to say about his party just
- 3:59Speaker 2: just completely getting so extreme that they leave the American
- 4:04Speaker 2: people behind. He's really upset about it. Here are the
- 4:07Speaker 2: words Carville is quoted online is saying, we don't have
- 4:10Speaker 2: the audio, but we have the words. And look, I'll
- 4:12Speaker 2: give a warning. Carvill's language as always colorful that it
- 4:16Speaker 2: is here, but here's how he's quoted quote, I dedicated
- 4:19Speaker 2: the best years of my f and life to this party,
- 4:23Speaker 2: only to see it taken over by a bunch of
- 4:25Speaker 2: stupid mf ers. Everything's gone to s By the way,
- 4:30Speaker 2: he did not abbreviate any of those And if you
- 4:33Speaker 2: look at the tweet that is particularly circulating online, it
- 4:37Speaker 2: says Carvill is especially livid following the DNC leadership election,
- 4:41Speaker 2: reportedly saying quote, who are these people This David hog
- 4:46Speaker 2: guy and that other sissy referring to Malcolm Canyata come
- 4:49Speaker 2: out of the gd left field? Well there goes the
- 4:52Speaker 2: mail vote forever. Thanks guys, We're ft and we deserve it.
- 4:57Speaker 2: That's James Carville's assessment of where the Democrat Party is right.
- 5:01Speaker 1: Now based on the poll numbers that we're seeing. He's
- 5:04Speaker 1: not far off, by the way from reality. I mean,
- 5:06Speaker 1: if he's an honest broker, I've known James for years,
- 5:10Speaker 1: you have as well, like he's This is the assessment.
- 5:14Speaker 1: I think he's spot on with where the Democratic Party is.
- 5:17Speaker 1: And they still don't seem to understand where that This
- 5:21Speaker 1: is how far they are away from the American people.
- 5:23Speaker 1: That's a blessing disguise for us.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Yeah, that they are not listening to reality. But look
- 5:30Speaker 2: let's look at the facts. Let's take the facts, all right.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Here's a headline from the New York Post just a
- 5:35Speaker 2: couple of days ago. Quote, illegal border crossings hit record
- 5:39Speaker 2: low after Trump's swift crackdown and could be on track
- 5:45Speaker 2: for levels not seen in sixty years. Wow, the numbers
- 5:51Speaker 2: are stunning. So far in February, about three hundred and
- 5:54Speaker 2: fifty nine illegal migrants per day have been caught across
- 5:57Speaker 2: the entire southern border, down more than ninety percent nine
- 6:03Speaker 2: zero from February twenty twenty four. According to leaked Customs
- 6:08Speaker 2: and Border Protection data, that puts the US on track
- 6:11Speaker 2: to have the lowest monthly border crossings in at least
- 6:14Speaker 2: twenty five years. If the trend continues, the number of
- 6:18Speaker 2: illegal migrants coming into the US could hit a level
- 6:21Speaker 2: not seen since nineteen sixty eight, nearly sixty years ago.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Here's a quote from Mark Krian, who runs the Center
- 6:30Speaker 2: for Immigration Studies. It's the lowest the US has seen
- 6:33Speaker 2: quote in almost a lifetime.
- 6:37Speaker 3: Quote.
- 6:37Speaker 2: If you kind of break down the numbers, divide them
- 6:39Speaker 2: by three sixty five, we hadn't add numbers this low
- 6:42Speaker 2: since the nineteen sixties, So we're talking sixty year lows
- 6:45Speaker 2: if it's sustained. Obviously, the CPP data shows that just
- 6:49Speaker 2: three nine hundred and fifty three illegal migrants have been
- 6:53Speaker 2: caught this month through February eleventh. If that trend continues
- 6:58Speaker 2: through the month, that would put the February boarding crossings
- 7:01Speaker 2: at roughly ten thousand, which is a number that hasn't
- 7:04Speaker 2: been seen since CPBB began tracking month to month data
- 7:09Speaker 2: in nineteen ninety nine, ten thousand. Under Biden, we were
- 7:13Speaker 2: getting ten thousand a day. We're on track for that
- 7:17Speaker 2: to be the total monthly traffic. And that's just in
- 7:21Speaker 2: the very first month.
- 7:22Speaker 3: It's a momentum thing, now right.
- 7:24Speaker 1: I mean you've got to feel that, I'm sure on
- 7:26Speaker 1: Capitol Hill, which is we've just gotten started. The American
- 7:30Speaker 1: people are behind us, and we're recruiting a bigger audience
- 7:34Speaker 1: that's cheering this on each and every day.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Well, look this election, President Trump and Republicans in the
- 7:41Speaker 2: Senate and House promised the American people real results. And
- 7:45Speaker 2: you look at what was promised. Number one, we promised
- 7:47Speaker 2: we are going to secure the border. And remember repeatedly
- 7:53Speaker 2: Joe Biden said, first of all, he said the Border
- 7:55Speaker 2: of Security, said it over and over and over again.
- 7:57Speaker 2: People knew that was a lie, and then he said, well,
- 8:00Speaker 2: it's impossible to fix it. Look, I want you it's
- 8:05Speaker 2: up to Congress. I want you to listen to this
- 8:10Speaker 2: clip from the National Border Patrol Council Vice President talking
- 8:13Speaker 2: about Biden lying to the American people on this topic.
- 8:16Speaker 3: Give a listen.
- 8:17Speaker 4: You know, it's interesting because down on the southern border
- 8:19Speaker 4: there has also been a dramatic reduction in the number
- 8:22Speaker 4: of people who are coming across the border.
- 8:24Speaker 3: I want to put up call for number four here.
- 8:25Speaker 4: This is a senior DHS official talking about that Chris
- 8:29Speaker 4: delivering consequences has results. Illegal crossings are down, god aways
- 8:33Speaker 4: are down, criminal prosecutions are on the rise. Daily reports
- 8:37Speaker 4: of large groups in Mexico, Guatemala turning back south and
- 8:40Speaker 4: surrendering to authorities requested to go home. And we have
- 8:44Speaker 4: only just begun policy matters. President Biden told us repeatedly
- 8:49Speaker 4: Chris that he had basically done all he could and
- 8:52Speaker 4: that it was up to Congress to do more. What's
- 8:55Speaker 4: happened in the last two and a half weeks would
- 8:56Speaker 4: seem to suggest that Biden was just gaslighting everybody.
- 9:00Speaker 5: Yeah, you know, it's unfortunate. I think, yeah, I don't know.
- 9:04Speaker 5: I don't know who he thought he was fooling. I mean,
- 9:06Speaker 5: Dunchure wasn't us. We knew what was going on the
- 9:08Speaker 5: whole time. And you're right, the apprehension numbers have slown
- 9:12Speaker 5: to a crawl.
- 9:13Speaker 6: Last night.
- 9:13Speaker 5: I was actually working the river and you have the
- 9:15Speaker 5: Mexican military patrolling their northern border, so that slows down
- 9:19Speaker 5: a lot of traffic coming our way. So things have
- 9:21Speaker 5: changed a great deal. And this president has proven that
- 9:25Speaker 5: he's a man of his word and can get it done.
- 9:27Speaker 5: He actually gave President Biden, then President Biden, the road
- 9:32Speaker 5: map to do it.
- 9:33Speaker 6: He just failed to have failed to do it there.
- 9:35Speaker 3: It is failed to do it right. That's what it
- 9:37Speaker 3: boils down to.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Well, and it was deliberate, it was a decision. And listen,
- 9:43Speaker 2: Biden knew he was lying to the American people. Kamala
- 9:45Speaker 2: Harris knew she was lying to the American people. Kareem
- 9:48Speaker 2: John Pierre knew she was lying to the American people.
- 9:51Speaker 2: Chuck Schumer knew he was lying to the American people.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Every Democrat in the Senate, in the House, they knew
- 9:55Speaker 2: they were lying to the American people. And it's because
- 9:58Speaker 2: they elevated politics ab of their basic job of representing
- 10:02Speaker 2: their constituents and protecting them. And listen, reasonable people can disagree, say,
- 10:08Speaker 2: on the right level of legal immigration. Some people might
- 10:11Speaker 2: say we should allow more legal immigration. Other people might
- 10:14Speaker 2: say we should allow less. That that's a discussion reasonable
- 10:19Speaker 2: and rational people can have. Let me ask you something seriously, Ben,
- 10:22Speaker 2: Imagine for a second you're a Democrat strategist. So imagine
- 10:28Speaker 2: you're a transgender witch and you are are a complete lunatic,
- 10:33Speaker 2: and you have no reason even so you presumably want
- 10:36Speaker 2: your team to win. I mean, one would think that
- 10:38Speaker 2: would be sort of the basics if you're running a campaign. Sure,
- 10:42Speaker 2: explain to me how a political party gets so far
- 10:48Speaker 2: away from common sense in the American people that they decide,
- 10:53Speaker 2: let's release multiple child rapists that raping kids. You know,
- 11:00Speaker 2: so apparently our constituents want child rapists in our community.
- 11:04Speaker 2: And if you think, okay, come on, Ted, that's a
- 11:06Speaker 2: little extreme. The Democrats are not doing this. I want
- 11:09Speaker 2: you to listen about Bill Malugin. Bill Malugin is the
- 11:12Speaker 2: best immigration reporter in the countries with Fox News. I
- 11:15Speaker 2: want you to listen to this clip because this is
- 11:17Speaker 2: exactly what the Democrat Party has been doing.
- 11:19Speaker 7: Give a listen, well, Dana, It's hard to believe there
- 11:21Speaker 7: are any jurisdictions out there that wouldn't cooperate with ICE
- 11:24Speaker 7: when it comes to illegal aliens charged with forcibly raping children.
- 11:29Speaker 7: But in Massachusetts it's just routine. Take a look at
- 11:31Speaker 7: this case. ICE Boston just announcing they arrested this Guatemala
- 11:35Speaker 7: illegal alien charge in Massachusetts with three counts of aggravated
- 11:39Speaker 7: child rape and three counts of forcible rape of a child.
- 11:42Speaker 7: So the question is why was he on the streets
- 11:44Speaker 7: right well, I says their detainer request on him was
- 11:47Speaker 7: ignored by the Essex County Superior Court due to sanctuary policy.
- 11:51Speaker 3: The locals released.
- 11:52Speaker 7: Him into the community on bail without any notice to ICE.
- 11:56Speaker 7: In a statement, the director of ICE Boston says, in
- 11:59Speaker 7: part quote host Day Fernando Perez has been charged with
- 12:01Speaker 7: some horrific crimes against the minor in our commonwealth. He
- 12:04Speaker 7: is exactly the type of alien we are targeting with
- 12:07Speaker 7: our worst first policy. He posts a significant danger to
- 12:10Speaker 7: the children of Massachusetts and we will not tolerate such
- 12:13Speaker 7: a threat to our community. ICE Boston also announcing the
- 12:16Speaker 7: arrest of this Turkish illegal alien charged in Massachusetts with
- 12:20Speaker 7: a sultant battery against an intellectually disabled person and witness intimidation.
- 12:25Speaker 7: But I says their detainer on him was also ignored
- 12:29Speaker 7: by the sanctuary city of Somerville. He had also been
- 12:32Speaker 7: released into the public elsewhere around the US. I Seattle
- 12:36Speaker 7: arrested this Salvadoran illegal alien wanted in his home country
- 12:39Speaker 7: for aggravated homicide. Here in Los Angeles, ICE arrested this
- 12:43Speaker 7: Guatemalan illegal alien charged with sexual assault and rape with
- 12:47Speaker 7: a gun. And in Colorado, the DEA announced their top
- 12:51Speaker 7: ten arrests of illegal immigrants in recent days, including several
- 12:55Speaker 7: affiliated with Trendy Aragua and others with egregious crimes like kidnapping,
- 13:00Speaker 7: child sexual assault, and fentanyl trafficking and Dana. I was
- 13:03Speaker 7: talking to a law enforcement source in Massachusetts about the
- 13:06Speaker 7: child rape case that I reference, and I asked, like,
- 13:08Speaker 7: there's got to be some sort of a catch here, right,
- 13:10Speaker 7: forget about cooperating with ICE. How does somebody charge with
- 13:13Speaker 7: so many counts of aggravated forcible child rape even get
- 13:17Speaker 7: released on bail in the first place. The response I
- 13:19Speaker 7: got was quote welcome to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. We'll
- 13:23Speaker 7: send it back to you.
- 13:24Speaker 6: Well, they're finally on their way out, thanks Bill.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Welcome the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. That's how much they hate
- 13:31Speaker 1: Donald Trump. They don't care about these rapists running around
- 13:33Speaker 1: among us.
- 13:35Speaker 2: It really is shocking. And understand what is being reported there,
- 13:42Speaker 2: which is that in Massachusetts, but also you're seeing it
- 13:46Speaker 2: in Seattle. Also you're seeing it in Colorado and across
- 13:50Speaker 2: the country. You have Democrats who have people who are
- 13:54Speaker 2: violent child rapists, who are violently, horribly raping little children.
- 14:00Speaker 2: And number one, these Democrats are releasing these child rapists. Now,
- 14:04Speaker 2: these child rapists are illegal immigrants. They could be deported,
- 14:07Speaker 2: but their politics of we want as many illegal immigrants
- 14:11Speaker 2: as possible is more important than any sort of common
- 14:15Speaker 2: sense of let's stop, let's stop horrible crimes against vulnerable kids.
- 14:25Speaker 2: You know, there's a quote from Friedrich Nietzsche in Beyond
- 14:29Speaker 2: Good and Evil which I think is really on point here.
- 14:32Speaker 2: And it is quote there is a point in the
- 14:35Speaker 2: history of society when it becomes so pathologically soft and
- 14:39Speaker 2: tender that, among other things, it sides even with those
- 14:43Speaker 2: who harm it, criminals, and it does this quite seriously
- 14:48Speaker 2: and honestly, punishing somehow seems unfair to it. And it
- 14:53Speaker 2: is certain that imagining punishment and being supposed to punish
- 14:59Speaker 2: hurts it, arouses fear in it. Is it not enough
- 15:03Speaker 2: to render him undangerous? Why still punish? Punishing itself is terrible?
- 15:10Speaker 2: With this question heard, morality, the morality of timidity draws
- 15:16Speaker 2: its ultimate consequence.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Now, if you want to hear the rest of this conversation,
- 15:21Speaker 1: you can go back and listen to the full podcast
- 15:24Speaker 1: from earlier this week. Now onto story number two, Senata,
- 15:28Speaker 1: I want to move on to Doge, and I mean,
- 15:31Speaker 1: it's just mind blowing at this point how much money
- 15:36Speaker 1: is being uncovered that is involved in waste, fraud and
- 15:39Speaker 1: abuse within our government. And then there's this new headline
- 15:44Speaker 1: that came out of the White House, and that is
- 15:47Speaker 1: a bombshell that there has been four point seven trillion
- 15:51Speaker 1: dollars that has been spent that is untraceable in the
- 15:57Speaker 1: way that the payments went out from the Treasury Department.
- 16:01Speaker 3: Explain that to America.
- 16:03Speaker 2: Well, let me read from our article in Fox News.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Doze says it found nearly untraceable budget line atoms responsible
- 16:11Speaker 2: for four point seven trillion in payments. The Trump administration's
- 16:16Speaker 2: Doze discovered an identification code linking US Treasury payments to
- 16:21Speaker 2: a budget line ATOM, which accounts for nearly four point
- 16:25Speaker 2: seven trillion dollars in payments, which was oftentimes left blank.
- 16:31Speaker 2: The Treasury Access Symbol TAS is an identification code linking
- 16:36Speaker 2: a Treasury payment to a budget line ATOM standard financial process,
- 16:40Speaker 2: Doze wrote in post on X. In the federal government,
- 16:44Speaker 2: the TAS field was optional for four point seven trillion
- 16:49Speaker 2: dollars in payments and was often left blank, making traceability
- 16:54Speaker 2: almost impossible. As of Saturday, this is now a required field,
- 17:00Speaker 2: increasing insight into where money is actually going. So understand
- 17:05Speaker 2: four point seven trillion dollars. Listen, A million dollars is
- 17:09Speaker 2: a lot of money. A billion dollars is a crap
- 17:12Speaker 2: ton more, it's actually a thousand times more. A trillion
- 17:15Speaker 2: dollars is a thousand thousand times more than a million dollars,
- 17:21Speaker 2: and four point seven trillion is even in federal government
- 17:26Speaker 2: spending a massive amount. The point here is the money
- 17:30Speaker 2: that has been coming from the federal government has been
- 17:34Speaker 2: massively wasted, and there has been no accountability, and the
- 17:38Speaker 2: entire governmental system is reacting in pain and horror and
- 17:43Speaker 2: agony that Donald Trump and Elon Musker bringing finally accountability
- 17:47Speaker 2: to it.
- 17:48Speaker 1: You look at the four point seven trillion. Is this
- 17:51Speaker 1: done on purpose? For this exact reason? If you don't
- 17:55Speaker 1: know where the money's going, you can't trace the money,
- 17:57Speaker 1: then you can't ask questions.
- 17:59Speaker 2: Oh look, yes, and no. I had an old boss
- 18:02Speaker 2: of mind, my very first boss, who said this was
- 18:06Speaker 2: actually quite profound. He said, never blame on malice. What
- 18:11Speaker 2: can be explained with incompetence. Look, that explains a lot
- 18:16Speaker 2: of government. There is massive waste, There is massive politicization
- 18:21Speaker 2: and weaponization. If you're spending your own money, you care
- 18:25Speaker 2: about it, then you care about your own money. If
- 18:28Speaker 2: you're spending someone else's money, you don't care about it.
- 18:31Speaker 2: And that problem in government is there's a culture of
- 18:36Speaker 2: endemic waste that is enormously problematic. And you combine that
- 18:42Speaker 2: with a politicization that there's a it doesn't matter I'm
- 18:46Speaker 2: spending someone else's money, I don't care, and I'm going
- 18:50Speaker 2: to spend it to promote transgender witches in some far
- 18:55Speaker 2: off country. That's what we've seen and that's what Trump
- 18:59Speaker 2: and are exposing.
- 19:02Speaker 1: You talk about what all they're exposing outside the four
- 19:05Speaker 1: point seven trillion in payments that we can't trace, let's
- 19:10Speaker 1: talk about illegal immigrants receiving benefits. And the media, by
- 19:13Speaker 1: the way, they're going to defend everything they can, even
- 19:18Speaker 1: if it's indefensible.
- 19:19Speaker 3: A great example of.
- 19:20Speaker 2: That, man, let me ask you this, is there one
- 19:22Speaker 2: Democrat you know who has criticized one single example of
- 19:28Speaker 2: massive waste abuse and fraud. And by the way, by
- 19:32Speaker 2: one democrat. I don't mean James Carvell. We talked about
- 19:34Speaker 2: that two days ago. I don't mean a consult I
- 19:36Speaker 2: mean one elected democrat. I can tell you in the
- 19:38Speaker 2: US Senate, I don't know of a single one, do you.
- 19:41Speaker 3: No, not a single one.
- 19:43Speaker 1: And you would think at some point they could, they
- 19:45Speaker 1: would come out and go, yeah, this is good for Americans,
- 19:47Speaker 1: it's good for my district, it's good for the taxpayers.
- 19:49Speaker 1: I represent that we're not going to spend money on X,
- 19:52Speaker 1: Y or Z. None of these egregious items that we've
- 19:55Speaker 1: listed on the show. Uh, And we've done a really
- 19:58Speaker 1: good job of keeping pep up today where were the
- 20:00Speaker 1: money's going? None of them have been criticized by the
- 20:02Speaker 1: Democrats and the media. Again, they are just hell bent
- 20:06Speaker 1: on saying Donald Trump bad, Elon Musk bad, Doge bad.
- 20:10Speaker 3: Here's a great example.
- 20:12Speaker 2: Listen to this exchange with Stephen Miller, because it is.
- 20:15Speaker 2: It is hysterical. By the way, tonight I saw Stephen.
- 20:19Speaker 2: I was at a party, so Howard Luddick was just
- 20:22Speaker 2: confirmed as Commerce Secretary.
- 20:23Speaker 3: He had a party at his house.
- 20:24Speaker 2: I saw Stephen this evening and I told him, great
- 20:27Speaker 2: job on CNN. Listen to this exchange, because she really is.
- 20:31Speaker 2: It's nutty. And I gotta say CNN has become a
- 20:34Speaker 2: clown show. It's not even it's not even real journalism.
- 20:37Speaker 2: It's just silly. But listen to this back and forth.
- 20:39Speaker 8: You mentioned yesterday and you mentioned again here illegal immigrants
- 20:44Speaker 8: who are getting child tax credits. If are you looking
- 20:50Speaker 8: for that information in the IRS data?
- 20:53Speaker 9: Anytime a crime is committed, of course there should be
- 20:57Speaker 9: an investigation. Is it your position that of somebody who
- 21:01Speaker 9: is data, the federal government will find every illegal alien
- 21:08Speaker 9: who is stealing American tax payer dollars and that is
- 21:11Speaker 9: what Americans spend. I don't even fath that.
- 21:16Speaker 8: It's a simple question. In the IRS data share that with.
- 21:20Speaker 9: IRS investigators find illegal aliens stealing tax payer money. Of
- 21:24Speaker 9: course it'll be referred to ICE. Of course, it'll be
- 21:26Speaker 9: referred to Homeland security investigations. Of course it will be Surely,
- 21:31Speaker 9: your position is not that we should let illegal aliens
- 21:34Speaker 9: steal taxpayer dollars. You want to talk about something to
- 21:37Speaker 9: be upset about, that's it. What do you think the
- 21:39Speaker 9: millions of illegal aliens who have also stolen social security?
- 21:43Speaker 9: Illegal aliens in mass have fake Social Security numbers, they
- 21:46Speaker 9: have fake identities.
- 21:47Speaker 3: Those are felonies.
- 21:49Speaker 9: Why should there be an entire class in this country
- 21:52Speaker 9: that is immunized from criminal prosecution and arrest for committing
- 21:56Speaker 9: felonies felony, theft of taxpayer information, tell any, theft of
- 22:01Speaker 9: social security, felony, theft of identity. These are all crimes.
- 22:04Speaker 9: And yes they will be investigated. Yes they'll be prosecuted,
- 22:07Speaker 9: and yes he will be deported. And you know what,
- 22:12Speaker 9: Americans will get jobs, Americans will Americans will get housing.
- 22:16Speaker 8: Even if they got a child, if they got a credit,
- 22:19Speaker 8: a child tax credit, and they will be referred you're
- 22:22Speaker 8: saying to ICE for that and you would expect deported
- 22:26Speaker 8: for that?
- 22:27Speaker 7: Is that?
- 22:27Speaker 8: Is that the position of the administration.
- 22:29Speaker 9: If it is found that a crime has been committed,
- 22:32Speaker 9: they'll be referred if the If it is justifies the prosecution,
- 22:36Speaker 9: they'll be prosecuted. If it justifies a deportation, they will
- 22:39Speaker 9: be deported. This will be based on existing IRIS protocols
- 22:43Speaker 9: and procedures for criminal investigation and fraud.
- 22:47Speaker 8: All right.
- 22:47Speaker 9: Difference is that no one is given immunity anymore, no
- 22:51Speaker 9: one is given permission to break the law anymore, because
- 22:55Speaker 9: this is not a country, this is not a sovereign territory.
- 22:57Speaker 9: If legal aliens can freely still billions with a beat,
- 23:01Speaker 9: billions of taxpayer dollars, and I would have to imagine
- 23:04Speaker 9: that that CNN, which is endlessly talked about the importance
- 23:08Speaker 9: of democracy and the rule of law, would say that
- 23:10Speaker 9: no class in this country should be above the law,
- 23:13Speaker 9: least of all illegal aliens who've trespassed on our territory.
- 23:17Speaker 8: Stephen, I'm just asking. I wanted to get your position
- 23:19Speaker 8: on some things this. We're not taking a position here.
- 23:21Speaker 8: We wanted to get some answers to some questions. There
- 23:24Speaker 8: are so many questions that need to be answer.
- 23:27Speaker 9: In fact, indifferent or unbiased on these questions.
- 23:29Speaker 8: But thank you, Steven Miller, Thank you so much for
- 23:32Speaker 8: your time. Really appreciate it, and we'll be right by.
- 23:34Speaker 3: Thank you. It's amazing.
- 23:35Speaker 1: It's like, oh, we don't take positions here, And I
- 23:37Speaker 1: love how grids he grids and laughs in her face,
- 23:40Speaker 1: like are you kidding me? Everybody watching right now knows
- 23:42Speaker 1: exactly what you're doing, and you're trying to act like
- 23:45Speaker 1: we're doing something wrong when in fact we're saving taxpayers dollars.
- 23:48Speaker 2: What Miller is saying is exactly right. The federal government
- 23:52Speaker 2: should enforce the law. If you have illegal aliens who
- 23:55Speaker 2: are stealing from the taxpayers, they should be prosecuted. And
- 23:59Speaker 2: the bizarre our position CNN is taking is well, if
- 24:03Speaker 2: the IRS knows that you're illegally stealing from the taxpayers,
- 24:07Speaker 2: the IRS shouldn't tell that to the rest of the
- 24:10Speaker 2: federal government. You should protect the illegal aliens who are
- 24:14Speaker 2: stealing from the taxpayers. That's a weird proposition. Why is
- 24:18Speaker 2: the IRS separate from dj separate from DHS, separate from ICE,
- 24:22Speaker 2: separate from all of the different federal agencies. And CNN
- 24:26Speaker 2: is so vested in saying, we want millions of illegal
- 24:30Speaker 2: aliens here and we want there to be no consequences,
- 24:33Speaker 2: so their continuing to engage in fraud, to work illegally,
- 24:38Speaker 2: to draw so security payments, to draw government payments fraudulently.
- 24:43Speaker 2: That is CNN's position. And I got to say, I'm
- 24:46Speaker 2: going credit Steven Miller for calling out CNN for they're
- 24:51Speaker 2: not engaged in news. They have a position on this.
- 24:54Speaker 2: They don't want the law enforced. And I got to say,
- 24:57Speaker 2: I think the American people do as before.
- 25:00Speaker 1: If you want to hear the rest of this conversation
- 25:02Speaker 1: on this topic, you can go back and down the
- 25:04Speaker 1: podcasts from earlier this week to hear the entire thing.
- 25:08Speaker 1: I want to get back to the big story number
- 25:10Speaker 1: three of the week.
- 25:11Speaker 3: You may have missed.
- 25:12Speaker 10: How important are those relationships that you say, Hey, I
- 25:15Speaker 10: trust excuse me, I trust you. I trust you, I
- 25:18Speaker 10: trust you.
- 25:19Speaker 6: I got your back. Let's go to work, vital and
- 25:21Speaker 6: crucial and Mike Watson, Christy We're on the phone with
- 25:24Speaker 6: each other all the time. And to change the topic
- 25:27Speaker 6: just a little bit, just to give you an example,
- 25:30Speaker 6: Leez Eldon a dear friend of mine. On President's Day,
- 25:32Speaker 6: Ronnie now EPA. Leez Elden, great administrative of EPA. I'm
- 25:37Speaker 6: on the phone hours with Scott Bessen, our Secretary of
- 25:40Speaker 6: Treasury and Leezelden, and you know we've seen thanks to
- 25:44Speaker 6: Elon Musk, my buddy's great work, and it's been reported.
- 25:48Speaker 6: Look what they're doing at Yeah, I'm changing the subject
- 25:50Speaker 6: a little bit, but they're giving out billions of dollars
- 25:55Speaker 6: after Joe Biden lost the election, trying to push this
- 25:59Speaker 6: money out the door.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Is actually shoveling cash out the windows.
- 26:04Speaker 6: As I said, gold bars, Let's throw all the gold
- 26:06Speaker 6: bars off the ship.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Yep.
- 26:08Speaker 6: And we're stopping them. We're stopping them in real time.
- 26:11Speaker 6: We're going after them. But it's because we all pick
- 26:15Speaker 6: up the phone and we talked directly to each other,
- 26:17Speaker 6: so we're able to work together. Talk to Marco Rubio
- 26:21Speaker 6: and look at them in like Steve Whitcoff out there, Grinnell,
- 26:24Speaker 6: what they're doing working with Marco and Mike Watson, all
- 26:28Speaker 6: the great the people that they're saving around the world.
- 26:31Speaker 6: And that's thanks to one man, Donald Trump. He put
- 26:34Speaker 6: all of us in these positions.
- 26:36Speaker 2: Well, and in the consistent nine spread of the cabinet
- 26:41Speaker 2: nominees is that you're all change agents. You all came
- 26:45Speaker 2: in with the mission and it is Listen, there has
- 26:48Speaker 2: never been a first month of any presidency in the
- 26:51Speaker 2: history of the United States of America, like the last
- 26:55Speaker 2: thirty days.
- 26:59Speaker 10: Amen.
- 27:00Speaker 2: And I'll tell you I have had great joy turning
- 27:04Speaker 2: to my Democrat colleagues in the Senate and just dead panning,
- 27:07Speaker 2: well three years and eleven months ago, and they literally
- 27:13Speaker 2: start twitching, like you get they have facial tics that
- 27:18Speaker 2: they cannot suppress.
- 27:20Speaker 3: Yeah, but all right, Pam.
- 27:21Speaker 2: One of the things that people like about this podcast
- 27:24Speaker 2: that we try to do is we try to bring
- 27:27Speaker 2: people behind the scenes to actually understand what's going on
- 27:31Speaker 2: behind closed doors. So tell us about your first day
- 27:36Speaker 2: as Attorney General. You're confirmed and like day one when
- 27:41Speaker 2: you get sworn in, just just walk everyone through what
- 27:43Speaker 2: day one of being Attorney General in the United States is, Like, you.
- 27:48Speaker 6: Go NonStop And I jokingly said it felt like fifteen
- 27:51Speaker 6: years because you're working seven days a week NonStop. You're
- 27:55Speaker 6: when we're all working with each other. Everything we do
- 27:59Speaker 6: it overlaps, and especially with Department of Justice, especially too,
- 28:02Speaker 6: with all this money going out the USA and all
- 28:04Speaker 6: of these agencies, and we're going to be helping all
- 28:06Speaker 6: these agencies. But you just hit the ground running literally
- 28:12Speaker 6: and don't look back. I don't look at what time
- 28:15Speaker 6: of day it is. It's I don't think I've slept
- 28:18Speaker 6: in fifteen days. But you don't want to. And then
- 28:21Speaker 6: when when you find out about this human trafficking ring
- 28:24Speaker 6: that was just broken up, it's just that's why we're
- 28:27Speaker 6: all doing what we're doing, and you just keep going forward.
- 28:31Speaker 6: And our directive, our directive from our boss is so easy,
- 28:37Speaker 6: especially on my end, make America safe. And so you
- 28:41Speaker 6: just don't, Senator, you don't even big my heart is saying, no,
- 28:45Speaker 6: is I forget to eat? You forget what time it
- 28:47Speaker 6: is and at six o'clock at night, And why do
- 28:49Speaker 6: I have a headache because I haven't eaten today? But
- 28:51Speaker 6: you're going non stop and it's not me. It's an
- 28:55Speaker 6: entire team. I've got Chad myself, I've got Aim Well,
- 28:57Speaker 6: I've got Todd Blanch thank goodness coming in, and we've
- 28:59Speaker 6: got cash Fortell now, so they better look out.
- 29:04Speaker 10: How nice is it to have a boss by the
- 29:08Speaker 10: guy and guy by the name of Donald J. Trump
- 29:10Speaker 10: who just lets you do your job exactly. I mean,
- 29:13Speaker 10: there's a lot of presents in the past that have
- 29:15Speaker 10: really tried to keep their thumb on people. It seems
- 29:18Speaker 10: like he's saying, go and go, get it done, and
- 29:22Speaker 10: call me when you need me.
- 29:23Speaker 6: He has trusted all of us and all of our
- 29:26Speaker 6: various capacities and all the different roles we have, whether
- 29:29Speaker 6: it's education or or agriculture, you know, all the cabinet labor,
- 29:35Speaker 6: all of the different cabinet secretaries, just to go out
- 29:38Speaker 6: and do the best we can. And and you know,
- 29:41Speaker 6: we want to make all of you proud, and we
- 29:44Speaker 6: want to fulfill his directive to make our country great.
- 29:47Speaker 6: That me ensured didn't need that job. He's a good
- 29:50Speaker 6: friend of mine and I love during my confirmation hearing
- 29:53Speaker 6: when they try they get on me because they say
- 29:55Speaker 6: I'm friends with Donald Trump. Yes, I know, I'm not
- 29:58Speaker 6: friends with them. I'm good friends with him, and I'm
- 30:00Speaker 6: very proud to work for him.
- 30:07Speaker 2: You know, when you look at weaponization and politicization, part
- 30:11Speaker 2: of it is using it to attack your political opponents,
- 30:14Speaker 2: and we've seen four years of that under Joe Biden.
- 30:17Speaker 2: Another part of it is turning the other way at
- 30:20Speaker 2: your political allies and refusing to enforce the law against them.
- 30:24Speaker 2: And I think one of the most egregious examples we've
- 30:27Speaker 2: seen over the last two years is the rising anti
- 30:31Speaker 2: semitism on college campus. I mean the violent protesters and rioters,
- 30:36Speaker 2: many of whom are not students, are not affiliated with
- 30:39Speaker 2: the universities, and they are threatening students. You look at
- 30:43Speaker 2: Columbia University. The Orthodox rabbi there sent out an email
- 30:47Speaker 2: to the Jewish students on campus and said, do not
- 30:50Speaker 2: come to campus because the university cannot and will not
- 30:55Speaker 2: keep you safe. And the Biden Justice Department did nothing.
- 31:01Speaker 2: They investigated nobody, they didn't follow the money, they didn't
- 31:04Speaker 2: indict anyone, they didn't prosecute anyone, and they did not
- 31:08Speaker 2: enforce Title six of the Civil Rights Laws, which say
- 31:12Speaker 2: that if you are tolerating harassment on the basis of
- 31:16Speaker 2: ethnicity or religion, that you will have your federal funds
- 31:20Speaker 2: cut off. How is the Department of Justice different today
- 31:25Speaker 2: and what will your approach be to anti semitism and
- 31:30Speaker 2: threats of violence directed against Jewish students on campus or
- 31:33Speaker 2: any other students on campus.
- 31:35Speaker 6: We have an October seventh task force that we started,
- 31:39Speaker 6: and we will protect you. When I was just a
- 31:41Speaker 6: citizen before I had this job, what you said, I'm
- 31:44Speaker 6: watching these these aren't peaceful protests. We all believe in
- 31:48Speaker 6: peaceful protests. Oh, I'm sorry, unless you're a liberal and
- 31:52Speaker 6: you don't want a parent to quietly pray outside an
- 31:55Speaker 6: abortion clinic, or you're a character or a parent at
- 32:00Speaker 6: a school board, they're going to call you a domestic securisty.
- 32:04Speaker 6: But I'm screaming up my TV watching these violent protests,
- 32:07Speaker 6: you know, the last since October seventh. You're watching this happen,
- 32:11Speaker 6: and all of our students deserve to be safe. First
- 32:14Speaker 6: of all, these these students from who are here on visas,
- 32:18Speaker 6: who are who are threatening our American students need to
- 32:21Speaker 6: be kicked out of this country.
- 32:23Speaker 2: Amen. It is refreshingly simple to have an attorney general
- 32:41Speaker 2: who has the approach that you're going to follow the
- 32:44Speaker 2: law and enforce the law, and that sadly has been missing,
- 32:49Speaker 2: uh for the last four years.
- 32:52Speaker 6: It's pretty basic, isn't it.
- 32:54Speaker 2: It should not be complicated. Let me ask you what
- 33:01Speaker 2: keeps you up at night? What scares you? In the
- 33:04Speaker 2: first two weeks in this job.
- 33:07Speaker 6: Pretty much everything. I don't sleep at night anymore. Of course,
- 33:12Speaker 6: everything we talked about, the drugs, the cartels, the great
- 33:15Speaker 6: Maybe I'll get a little sleep tonight based on the
- 33:17Speaker 6: arrest that we're just made, the children that are being trafficked,
- 33:21Speaker 6: things that have been so personal to me since I
- 33:23Speaker 6: was a state prosecutor and then since I was state
- 33:25Speaker 6: attorney general. Now you just get to help people on
- 33:28Speaker 6: a bigger level, which is pretty pretty cool to get
- 33:30Speaker 6: to do that. But most recently it's really been what
- 33:36Speaker 6: Elon has been uncovering and the USA, the waste at EPA,
- 33:44Speaker 6: this money, trillions of dollars they believe just being handed out,
- 33:49Speaker 6: which is most likely making a round trip and going
- 33:53Speaker 6: to terrorist organization.
- 33:54Speaker 2: And you are on the front line of defending the
- 33:57Speaker 2: president and Elon Moskin do all the effort they're doing.
- 34:01Speaker 2: And every day we are seeing Democrat attorneys general and
- 34:05Speaker 2: Democrat interest groups suing the president, suing Elon Musk, suing
- 34:10Speaker 2: the federal government and the Department of Justices on the
- 34:12Speaker 2: front lines, and sadly, we're seeing left wing activist judges,
- 34:17Speaker 2: individual district court judges issuing nationwide injunctions. Tell us about
- 34:25Speaker 2: what it's like defending against those lawsuits, and give us
- 34:28Speaker 2: your thoughts on the authority of one radical district judge
- 34:33Speaker 2: to try to run the executive branch and issue a
- 34:36Speaker 2: nationwide injunction.
- 34:37Speaker 6: Two words, we're winning, but yeah, so you've got you've
- 34:42Speaker 6: got one. I like that answer, one unelected district judge
- 34:46Speaker 6: trying to tell President Trump, who was elected overwhelmingly by
- 34:51Speaker 6: the American people, where federal funds can go. We're winning
- 34:57Speaker 6: even in liberal courts. By the way, I'm senator, we're
- 35:00Speaker 6: winning as always.
- 35:02Speaker 1: Thank you for listening to Verdict with Sentner, Ted Cruz,
- 35:05Speaker 1: Ben Ferguson with you don't forget to deal with my podcast,
- 35:08Speaker 1: and you can listen to my podcast every other day
- 35:09Speaker 1: you're not listening to Verdict or each day when you
- 35:11Speaker 1: listen to Verdict. Afterwards, I'd love to have you as
- 35:14Speaker 1: a listener to again the Ben Ferguson podcasts, and we
- 35:17Speaker 1: will see you back here on Monday morning.
