Latest / The Ben Ferguson Podcast / Trump Indictment: Political Warfare Biden-Style
Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome. It is a verdict.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Was center Ted Cruz Ben Ferguson with you the breaking news.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Biden's Department of Justice has indicted President Donald Trump yet
- 0:10Speaker 2: again for new charges.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Related to January the sixth.
- 0:14Speaker 2: This is the same guy that's leading in the polls,
- 0:16Speaker 2: in some polls by as much as fifty points. So
- 0:20Speaker 2: why did this happen? Let's go through a quick timeline
- 0:23Speaker 2: for you. June the seventh, the FBI released documents to
- 0:26Speaker 2: Congress alleging that the Bidens took a ten million dollar
- 0:30Speaker 2: bribe from Barisma. What happened the very next day, June eighth,
- 0:36Speaker 2: Jack Smith indicted Trump in the Marlago document case. Fast
- 0:41Speaker 2: forward to July the twenty sixth, Hunter Biden goes to
- 0:44Speaker 2: court and rejects this sweetheart plea deal for the judge
- 0:48Speaker 2: said uh uh, after it was revealed that the Biden
- 0:51Speaker 2: Department of Justice tried to give Hunter Biden blanket immunity
- 0:55Speaker 2: from all future prosecutions. The very next day, after that
- 1:00Speaker 2: sweetheart deal fell apart, on July the twenty seventh, Jack
- 1:04Speaker 2: Smith added more charges for Trump in the Marlago case.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Move.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Just a few days later, to July the thirty first, Hunter,
- 1:13Speaker 2: Biden's former business partner testifies to Congress Devin Archer that
- 1:18Speaker 2: Joe Biden was on over twenty calls with his son's
- 1:22Speaker 2: business partners and that Barism executives pressured them to fire
- 1:27Speaker 2: the prosecutor. What happened the very next day? Jack Smith
- 1:31Speaker 2: indicts Trump again for more charges related to January the
- 1:35Speaker 2: sixth Senator? Is there a coincidence with a day after
- 1:39Speaker 2: day timeline I just gave you? Or is this possible
- 1:42Speaker 2: retribution for how dare you challenge us?
- 1:46Speaker 3: Look?
- 1:46Speaker 4: Is it is not subtle and it's not complicated. This
- 1:49Speaker 4: is straight out election interference by the Biden Department of Justice.
- 1:53Speaker 4: We have talked at great length about how incredibly politicized
- 1:56Speaker 4: the Department of Justice is. You're right, the timing every
- 1:59Speaker 4: time there's a development on evidence of corruption or criminal
- 2:03Speaker 4: misconduct by Hunter Biden were, in particular Joe Biden. The
- 2:07Speaker 4: next day you see the Department of Justice try to
- 2:11Speaker 4: change the narrative, try to break news. I am not
- 2:13Speaker 4: surprised at all that this indictment came down yesterday. Why
- 2:19Speaker 4: is that? Because they desperately wanted to drive off of
- 2:22Speaker 4: the news. Devin Archer's testimony that was very bad for
- 2:26Speaker 4: Joe Biden, and the best way to do it is
- 2:28Speaker 4: to count on the useful idiots in the media who
- 2:32Speaker 4: will happily echo their latest charges against Donald Trump. We
- 2:37Speaker 4: are looking right now at three different indictments of Donald Trump,
- 2:42Speaker 4: one state and two federal, and in all likelihood we'll
- 2:46Speaker 4: see a fourth indictment of Donald Trump in Atlanta from
- 2:49Speaker 4: another state prosecutor.
- 2:52Speaker 1: This one was.
- 2:54Speaker 4: Supposed to be the big, big Enchilada. This is the
- 2:56Speaker 4: one that democrats and the corporate media have been salivating for.
- 3:00Speaker 4: This was finally gonna get him. They are kept in
- 3:03Speaker 4: a have and he is there, Moby Dick, and they
- 3:06Speaker 4: want to get Donald Trump. And I gotta say I
- 3:09Speaker 4: sat down and read this indictment and my biggest sentence
- 3:14Speaker 4: was that it was thoroughly underwhelming. There's very little there.
- 3:19Speaker 4: There's very little new in this indictment that you couldn't
- 3:23Speaker 4: get reading the pages of the Washington Post in the
- 3:27Speaker 4: days after the twenty twenty election leading up to January sixth,
- 3:33Speaker 4: almost all of this has been covered in the newspapers.
- 3:36Speaker 4: And essentially, what this indictment does is take all the facts,
- 3:40Speaker 4: and in particular, they really really really don't like that
- 3:45Speaker 4: Donald Trump alleged that there was voter fraud in the
- 3:48Speaker 4: twenty twenty election and that it changed the outcome. Now
- 3:51Speaker 4: I get that they don't like that, but not liking
- 3:54Speaker 4: it is not the same as saying Trump saying that
- 4:00Speaker 4: on Twitter, on any mountaintop from which you could say
- 4:03Speaker 4: it is somehow criminal conduct. And I think, you know,
- 4:08Speaker 4: looking at this, I was surprised, after all this investigation,
- 4:12Speaker 4: after millions of dollars, after prosecutors with subpoena power, putting
- 4:17Speaker 4: people at risk of going to jail, I was surprised
- 4:21Speaker 4: that there wasn't a smoking gun in here. There wasn't
- 4:23Speaker 4: something that frankly breaks news. At this point, the only
- 4:27Speaker 4: news is Aha, they indicted him, and then they get
- 4:29Speaker 4: to repeat everything they said for the last two years.
- 4:35Speaker 4: This is a political indictment brought by a political prosecutor,
- 4:41Speaker 4: working for a political attorney general, working for a political
- 4:44Speaker 4: president who does not want to risk losing to Donald
- 4:49Speaker 4: Trump in November of twenty twenty four. And what Joe Biden,
- 4:52Speaker 4: what Merrick Garland, what Jack Smith? What all the apparaticks
- 4:56Speaker 4: in the Biden Justice Department want? Is they want number one.
- 5:00Speaker 4: They want Trump to win the Republican nomination, and they've
- 5:04Speaker 4: now figured out every time they indict Trump, his numbers
- 5:06Speaker 4: go up in the primary. That makes them really happy.
- 5:09Speaker 4: They want Trump to be the nominee and the number two.
- 5:13Speaker 4: Their nirvana is to have multiple criminal trials against Donald Trump,
- 5:18Speaker 4: all proceeding ideally in September and October of twenty twenty four,
- 5:23Speaker 4: and they believe they'll throw so much mud on the
- 5:27Speaker 4: wall that Trump will be unelectable. That's their political objective.
- 5:31Speaker 4: I understand why they have that political objective, but it's
- 5:34Speaker 4: not the rule of law. It's not what the Department
- 5:37Speaker 4: of Justice is supposed to be doing.
- 5:40Speaker 2: My question for you and for so many Americans right
- 5:43Speaker 2: now is how did we get to a point where
- 5:46Speaker 2: this could even happen? And how is it possible that
- 5:50Speaker 2: there can be this clear in a since transparency on
- 5:54Speaker 2: the weaponization of the Department of Justice where it's like, okay,
- 5:58Speaker 2: every single time there's bad news for the Biden crime family,
- 6:01Speaker 2: immediately we indict Donald Trump, who is hands down the
- 6:04Speaker 2: front runner now for the GOP nomination. Is this not
- 6:08Speaker 2: political interference the worst we've ever seen in American modern
- 6:12Speaker 2: political history? And is there anyone that can stop them
- 6:16Speaker 2: from doing this. It is almost at this point mind boggling.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Where we are as a country in the United States
- 6:22Speaker 2: of America in twenty twenty three.
- 6:25Speaker 4: Well, unfortunately, we've entered Banana Republic territory. In over two
- 6:29Speaker 4: centuries of our nation's history, no president of the United
- 6:32Speaker 4: States has ever been indicted. We now have a former
- 6:36Speaker 4: president who, as you knowed, is the leading opposition candidate
- 6:40Speaker 4: to be the next president, who's been indicted not once,
- 6:43Speaker 4: not twice, but three times, and in all likelihood it
- 6:45Speaker 4: will be four times.
- 6:48Speaker 1: That is, we're.
- 6:50Speaker 4: Almost numb to how unprecedented that is. If you look
- 6:56Speaker 4: at this latest indictment, the circumstances of it are highly problematic.
- 7:02Speaker 4: This indictment has been brought in DC. The case was
- 7:07Speaker 4: assigned to a federal district judge, a judge named Tanya Chutkin.
- 7:13Speaker 4: Judge Chutkin was appointed to the DC District Court by
- 7:17Speaker 4: Barack Obama, and she has a reputation for being far left,
- 7:23Speaker 4: even by DC District court standards. Judge Chutkin, for example,
- 7:27Speaker 4: has set aside numerous federal death penalty cases, and she
- 7:32Speaker 4: is the only federal judge in Washington, d C. Who
- 7:36Speaker 4: is sentenced January sixth. Defendants to sentences longer than the
- 7:43Speaker 4: government requested. So in terms of the judge, we can
- 7:48Speaker 4: anticipate a judge who is going to be relentlessly hostile
- 7:51Speaker 4: to Donald Trump, who is going to bend over backwards
- 7:55Speaker 4: for the Biden DOJ, and who is going to make
- 7:58Speaker 4: ruling after ruling after ruling again against Trump. She wants
- 8:02Speaker 4: this to go to trial. Not to be clear, she
- 8:03Speaker 4: doesn't want this to go to trial now. She didn't
- 8:05Speaker 4: want it to go to trial in a week. She
- 8:06Speaker 4: didn't want to go trial in a month. DOJ wants
- 8:10Speaker 4: Trump to get the nomination so this trial can't happen
- 8:12Speaker 4: too quickly. They want it to happen after he's nominated,
- 8:16Speaker 4: but before the general election. And I will tell you,
- 8:19Speaker 4: if it goes to trial, you will have a jury
- 8:22Speaker 4: that is drawn from the District of Columbia. The District
- 8:25Speaker 4: of Columbia is the jurisdiction in the United States that
- 8:29Speaker 4: is the most Democrat of any jurisdiction in the country
- 8:33Speaker 4: in terms of a district or a state. Over ninety
- 8:37Speaker 4: percent of the voters in DC vote Democrat, voted for
- 8:42Speaker 4: Joe Biden, voted for Hillary Clinton. Consistently vote Democrat. They
- 8:46Speaker 4: are not Donald Trump's supporters. The likelihood that a DC
- 8:51Speaker 4: jury will vote to convict Donald Trump is exceptionally high,
- 8:55Speaker 4: and the facts don't matter, the laws don't matter.
- 8:58Speaker 1: They hate him.
- 8:59Speaker 4: That's a big part of the reason why the Biden
- 9:02Speaker 4: DOJ wants to bring this case in DC, which means
- 9:09Speaker 4: with a far left judge and a far left jury,
- 9:15Speaker 4: there is a very real possibility that Donald Trump ends
- 9:19Speaker 4: up being convicted. Now, I think on appeal that conviction
- 9:25Speaker 4: will not stand, but it might stand in the DC circuit.
- 9:30Speaker 4: An appeal would go to the DC circuit. It would
- 9:32Speaker 4: depend what panel you get on the DC circuit whether
- 9:35Speaker 4: a conviction would stand. I think the ultimate outcome of
- 9:39Speaker 4: any Donald Trump conviction on this indictment would be a
- 9:44Speaker 4: reversal in all likelihood at the US Supreme Court. I
- 9:48Speaker 4: would note the last time Jack Smith played this game,
- 9:52Speaker 4: the last time Jack Smith indicted a serious, credible Republican
- 9:57Speaker 4: presidential candidate, and pause for a second. Merrick Garland and
- 10:00Speaker 4: DOJ found I think the only guy on the planet
- 10:03Speaker 4: as far as i'm I know, who was previously indicted
- 10:06Speaker 4: a leading candidate for president that was a Republican. They
- 10:09Speaker 4: brought him back and said, hey, you did that so well,
- 10:11Speaker 4: would you do it again. The last time Jack Smith
- 10:15Speaker 4: did that was Bob McDonald, then the governor of Virginia.
- 10:19Speaker 4: He got a conviction and it went all the way
- 10:22Speaker 4: to the Supreme Court and it was unanimously reversed. But
- 10:26Speaker 4: you know what, if that happens in this case, that'll
- 10:29Speaker 4: be two three years from now, that'll be after the election.
- 10:32Speaker 4: That will be with Bob McDonald. Jack Smith had done
- 10:35Speaker 4: his job. The job was not to put him in jail.
- 10:38Speaker 4: The job was to hurt him politically, to take him out,
- 10:41Speaker 4: to destroy his career. And he succeeded in doing that,
- 10:44Speaker 4: even though it was lawless. And what is dangerous about
- 10:48Speaker 4: this particular indictment with a judge and a jury that
- 10:52Speaker 4: are likely to be stacked against Donald Trump and in
- 10:56Speaker 4: fact loathe Donald Trump. That is a very dangerous scenario.
- 11:03Speaker 4: That is I think exceptionally bad a for the rule
- 11:05Speaker 4: of law, but be for democracy. Whether you want Donald
- 11:09Speaker 4: Trump to be the next president or not, that question
- 11:13Speaker 4: should not be answered by a corrupt Department of Justice
- 11:16Speaker 4: weaponizing the legal system.
- 11:19Speaker 2: I want to tell you about an incredible trip that
- 11:21Speaker 2: we are going to be taking as Verdict listeners, and
- 11:24Speaker 2: I want you to be a part of it. We
- 11:25Speaker 2: are going to be heading to the Holy Land to Israel.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Israel is the cradle of Judaism, Christianity, and many of
- 11:33Speaker 2: the principles that we hold dear as Americans, and this
- 11:36Speaker 2: trip is going to be amazing. You're going to visit
- 11:39Speaker 2: sites like the Armageddon battlefilm, Nazareth, Jericho, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, just
- 11:44Speaker 2: to name a few. You're going to set sail on
- 11:46Speaker 2: the Sea of Galilee, Galilee and float on the Dead Sea.
- 11:50Speaker 2: You'll walk up the steps of biblical figures like King
- 11:53Speaker 2: David and Jesus Christ, and we'll do it all together
- 11:57Speaker 2: with other listeners from around the country. I'm going to
- 12:00Speaker 2: meet up with you in Jerusalem and experience with you
- 12:03Speaker 2: the city's great sites like the Western Wall, the Temple mount.
- 12:07Speaker 2: This trip will deepen your understanding of the Bible and
- 12:10Speaker 2: of Western civilization, and we'll leave you with friends and
- 12:14Speaker 2: memories that will last a lifetime. Now, you got plenty
- 12:16Speaker 2: of time to plan for this trip. It is May
- 12:19Speaker 2: sixth or the fifteenth of twenty twenty four next year.

- 12:55Speaker 2: zero zero two, or join us go online Christianexpedition dot
- 12:59Speaker 2: com slash ben. SATA. I want to ask you another question.
- 13:04Speaker 2: This is about the timing. There was an interesting point
- 13:07Speaker 2: that was made about the timing of this, and Jonathan
- 13:12Speaker 2: Turley also talked about the disinformation aspect of this indictment.
- 13:18Speaker 2: He said, it's all part of the First Amendment. Take
- 13:20Speaker 2: a listen, and I want to get your take.
- 13:22Speaker 5: And one of the things I was looking for is
- 13:24Speaker 5: I assumed that Smith had this type of aha moment,
- 13:28Speaker 5: that there's something in there that the January sixth Committee
- 13:31Speaker 5: didn't find that supported we heard about witness tampering. It's
- 13:36Speaker 5: not in there. I mean, everything in this indictment is
- 13:39Speaker 5: basically what has been discussed in the news now. By
- 13:42Speaker 5: the way, the other thing that is not in here
- 13:45Speaker 5: is conspiracy for incitement not in here is a seditious conspiracy.
- 13:51Speaker 5: Those were the claims the Democrats used in the impeachment
- 13:55Speaker 5: and said that the evidence was absolutely clear people like
- 13:59Speaker 5: Shift and others, that he's clearly guilty of those crimes.
- 14:03Speaker 5: Well they're not in here. Instead, he's using the favorite
- 14:06Speaker 5: of prosecutors, these type of conspiracy and obstruction claims.
- 14:11Speaker 2: I mean, you hear Turley talk about that center, and
- 14:15Speaker 2: before we get to even just some of the timing
- 14:18Speaker 2: aspects of this, the way he's describing it is, this
- 14:21Speaker 2: is an incredibly weak case to bring it forward. So
- 14:25Speaker 2: is it not just to tie up Donald Trump from
- 14:28Speaker 2: having to deal with this and to claim that he's,
- 14:30Speaker 2: you know, under indictment, he's got a mug shot and
- 14:32Speaker 2: that he could go to prison. You don't want that
- 14:34Speaker 2: got to be your president. That's election interference one oh one.
- 14:38Speaker 4: Yeah, of course it is. And they want to go
- 14:40Speaker 4: even further. They want a conviction. You understand, this Department
- 14:44Speaker 4: of Justice hates Donald Trump and they've given up any
- 14:49Speaker 4: pretense of impartiality of objectivity. We've seen it with their
- 14:54Speaker 4: complete double standard when it comes to Hunter Biden and
- 14:57Speaker 4: his pattern of criminal conduct. We've seen it with their
- 15:01Speaker 4: repeated willingness to obstruct justice and cover up investigations into
- 15:05Speaker 4: Joe Biden. For them, partisan politics has superseded the responsibility
- 15:11Speaker 4: of fidelity to law. A major reason I believe for
- 15:18Speaker 4: the timing of it is because the Devon Archer testimony
- 15:21Speaker 4: was incredibly damaging to Joe Biden. And look, let's give
- 15:25Speaker 4: a real and practical example. So this podcast is coming
- 15:30Speaker 4: out Wednesday morning. You and I got online to record
- 15:35Speaker 4: it Tuesday afternoon. We had an entire podcast planned on
- 15:39Speaker 4: Devon Archer, on the testimony that was given that was
- 15:42Speaker 4: highly significant. That should have led the podcast. It should
- 15:45Speaker 4: have led the news in any sane world, it would
- 15:47Speaker 4: have led the six o'clock news everywhere. But as we're
- 15:51Speaker 4: sitting there preparing for the podcast to come out Wednesday morning,
- 15:54Speaker 4: we start getting over the phone information that Trump had
- 15:58Speaker 4: tweeted out that he was going to be in at
- 16:00Speaker 4: five pm. We were recording at about three pm, and
- 16:03Speaker 4: we look at that and go, well, we can't record
- 16:06Speaker 4: this if he's indicted at five pm, because the podcast
- 16:09Speaker 4: will be ridiculous if it doesn't actually.
- 16:11Speaker 6: Talk about that.
- 16:11Speaker 4: So you know what it did for this podcast, It
- 16:15Speaker 4: drove the Devon Archer story off the news. Now we're
- 16:18Speaker 4: going to cover Devon Archer, but it pushed it to
- 16:20Speaker 4: the second half of the podcast. And if this podcast
- 16:24Speaker 4: gives in to that pressure, if it succeeds in driving
- 16:27Speaker 4: Devon Archer off the front page here, what do you
- 16:30Speaker 4: think it is doing on every single corporate media and
- 16:35Speaker 4: TV news station. That was the objective, provide salacious news
- 16:41Speaker 4: to cover up anything that hurts Joe Biden. I do
- 16:44Speaker 4: not think it is an accident that this was handed
- 16:48Speaker 4: down the day after the Devon Archer testimony. And mind you,
- 16:53Speaker 4: and if you go back and listen to Monday at
- 16:55Speaker 4: Monday's podcast, you know this. The Apartment of Justice this
- 16:57Speaker 4: weekend sent a let to the court asking the court
- 17:02Speaker 4: a different federal court, but the court that's considering the
- 17:04Speaker 4: Devin Archer case and threaten him right before his congressional testimony.
- 17:10Speaker 4: This is all part and parcel of the Department of
- 17:13Speaker 4: Justice operating like the legal arm of the DNC.
- 17:20Speaker 2: Center. It's not just that, but also the media now
- 17:23Speaker 2: is really trying to rewrite the story of the corruption
- 17:28Speaker 2: of Hunter Biden and the Hunter Biden criminal activity with
- 17:33Speaker 2: the President of United States of America. They lied to
- 17:36Speaker 2: the American people over and over again and helped sell
- 17:38Speaker 2: the lie at the White House that Joe Biden never
- 17:40Speaker 2: spoke to his son or any of his family members
- 17:43Speaker 2: about business. Then they allowed that cover up of that
- 17:47Speaker 2: lie to turn into well, Joe Biden was never in
- 17:51Speaker 2: business with his family members or his son, Hunter Biden.
- 17:56Speaker 2: And now they're saying that the President working the phones
- 18:01Speaker 2: with Hunter biden business contacts is literally him just being
- 18:06Speaker 2: a great dad. Now, virtually everybody in the mainstream media
- 18:12Speaker 2: has been saying this over the last twenty four to
- 18:15Speaker 2: forty eight hours.
- 18:16Speaker 1: We've got a montage of it.
- 18:18Speaker 6: Take a listend did nothing, nothing, not even approximating improper.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Much less wrong or illegal.
- 18:25Speaker 6: It's wishful thinking.
- 18:26Speaker 1: They're trying to create a scandal.
- 18:28Speaker 3: Think it's pretty clear, at least so far, there is
- 18:30Speaker 3: nothing there.
- 18:31Speaker 6: House Republicans continue their search for any proof at all
- 18:34Speaker 6: tying President Joe Biden to his son Hunter's business dealings.
- 18:37Speaker 6: Joe Biden had nothing to do with Hunter Biden's business dealings.
- 18:41Speaker 7: Because they wanted they wanted dirty of Biden's name.
- 18:44Speaker 6: Do you know Republicans have been trying to use Hunter
- 18:46Speaker 6: Biden's behavior against the President did not know about anything
- 18:51Speaker 6: that Hunter Biden was doing.
- 18:53Speaker 8: Seeing that Biden was simply involved in his son's life
- 18:56Speaker 8: in a personal capacity, Republicans from consistently trying to make
- 19:00Speaker 8: this argument and create the illusion of some malfeasans being there.
- 19:06Speaker 6: Spoke to business associates of Hunter Biden to say hello,
- 19:11Speaker 6: to have small talk, casual conversation.
- 19:14Speaker 9: Hunter Biden talked to his dad on the phone all
- 19:16Speaker 9: the time. They talked basically every day. Sometimes Joe Biden
- 19:20Speaker 9: would say hello to the people in the room if
- 19:22Speaker 9: he popped in or on the phone or whatever.
- 19:23Speaker 6: They saw casual conversation, niceties, the weather.
- 19:28Speaker 8: They never discussed the business. These were more of just
- 19:30Speaker 8: cordial hello types of conversations.
- 19:33Speaker 9: Business was never discussed on those calls, and.
- 19:35Speaker 8: There was more casual sort of check ins, casual conversations.
- 19:39Speaker 3: President Biden might have said, hey, putting me on speakerphone,
- 19:43Speaker 3: you know, are you having a business meeting? Like what
- 19:46Speaker 3: is that about? But do you hang up on your
- 19:48Speaker 3: front on your side?
- 19:50Speaker 6: Bo Biden, Hunter's brother and President Biden's son was very
- 19:54Speaker 6: ill with cancer and then passed away. That, as the
- 19:57Speaker 6: witness today testified, was what these conversations and these calls
- 20:01Speaker 6: were about and we should put this in context. This
- 20:04Speaker 6: is the time when Bo Biden, the President's other son,
- 20:06Speaker 6: was ill and then dying and then passed away.
- 20:09Speaker 3: Very fraud and sad time for the Biden family, and
- 20:15Speaker 3: we know how important family is to the president. They're
- 20:18Speaker 3: doing Donald Trump's.
- 20:19Speaker 6: They ain't going after Hunter Biden trying to create a
- 20:22Speaker 6: tie to the president. This is a this is.
