- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show, keep saying it can't stop. Man,
- 2:14Speaker 1: oh man, oh man, what a journey it has been.
- 2:17Speaker 1: I thank God for every single step of the way.
- 2:19Speaker 1: I learned to thank him for the bad times too,
- 2:23Speaker 1: because it taught me something. All the bad times, all
- 2:26Speaker 1: the failures, they became valuable experiences in my life. Every
- 2:30Speaker 1: time I failed, I learned a little bit more about
- 2:32Speaker 1: getting up. Every time I was told no, it moved
- 2:35Speaker 1: me one step closer to yes. It made me stronger,
- 2:39Speaker 1: it tough in my skin. It made me learn how
- 2:41Speaker 1: to deal with haters. It made me learn how to
- 2:44Speaker 1: deal with people who don't have your best interests at heart. Man,
- 2:48Speaker 1: ain't y'all all out there feeling me on this one
- 2:50Speaker 1: right here. It teaches you who is who in your life.
- 2:54Speaker 1: It shows you who you can depend on and who
- 2:57Speaker 1: you can't. And at the end of the day, what
- 2:59Speaker 1: it's taught me most of all my hardships in my life,
- 3:02Speaker 1: and it's really about me and God. That is the
- 3:06Speaker 1: one factor that has been never changed in my life.
- 3:11Speaker 1: God has always been the same for me and for
- 3:14Speaker 1: you and for all of us. His word is true.
- 3:18Speaker 1: It don't waiver, it don't shake. You can shape it,
- 3:21Speaker 1: readjust it if you want to. It is really the
- 3:24Speaker 1: way it's written. It really is. You have your version
- 3:27Speaker 1: of it if you want to. But if you just
- 3:29Speaker 1: read it the way it is, it's real clear. Ain't
- 3:32Speaker 1: no loopholes in it. Every time you jump through a loophole,
- 3:35Speaker 1: that's something over that written that that counters that. So
- 3:39Speaker 1: it's what I want to get to today. Listen to me.
- 3:42Speaker 1: You got it within you, Oh it's there, Just use it.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Listen to me close. You got it within you. Oh
- 3:52Speaker 1: it's there, Just use it. If you hear me clearly,
- 3:57Speaker 1: I'm really fit to show you something this morning. You
- 4:00Speaker 1: got it within you, Oh it's there. Just use it, Steve,
- 4:04Speaker 1: what you're talking about. See, here's what's wrong with a
- 4:08Speaker 1: lot of people. Here's who's stopping so many people. You
- 4:13Speaker 1: keep looking. We keep looking for others to save us.
- 4:19Speaker 1: We keep looking for someone else to rescue us. We
- 4:23Speaker 1: always looking for some group of people or somebody to
- 4:27Speaker 1: accept us. We keep looking for someone else's approval. We
- 4:33Speaker 1: always looking for some group or somebody to deliver us, somebody,
- 4:39Speaker 1: some group of people to give us credibility, somebody or
- 4:44Speaker 1: some group of people who says we matter. We spend
- 4:48Speaker 1: so much time right there, and when the cavalry don't
- 4:52Speaker 1: come over the hill, when there ain't no saving and
- 4:55Speaker 1: ain't no deliverance, and then you don't get accepted, and
- 4:58Speaker 1: then don't nobody really I'm to save you? And the
- 5:01Speaker 1: don't nobody vouching for you and giving you credibility. It
- 5:04Speaker 1: throw you into something now, you into this little state
- 5:07Speaker 1: of man. I don't know what I'm gonna do. Oh
- 5:10Speaker 1: you got it within you? Oh? Is there? Just use it?
- 5:14Speaker 1: You want to know what the real deal is, y'all?
- 5:17Speaker 1: It's you and God, and it's the God in you. Man.
- 5:24Speaker 1: I wish I could explain this right to you today.
- 5:26Speaker 1: I want you to feel me on this right here,
- 5:29Speaker 1: and when you shake everything out the way, get rid
- 5:32Speaker 1: of all your expectations of people. The relationship you thought
- 5:36Speaker 1: was gonna last forever that didn't make it, the child
- 5:39Speaker 1: that you wanted to be, this that turned out to
- 5:40Speaker 1: be that, your friend you thought was your friend, that
- 5:43Speaker 1: stabbed you in the back. You found out they wasn't
- 5:46Speaker 1: the job you thought was gonna keep you and you'd
- 5:48Speaker 1: retire on they didn't close down, gave you a pink slip.
- 5:51Speaker 1: All of this, man, that death promised that somebody told
- 5:54Speaker 1: you they was gonna loan you this money, and on
- 5:56Speaker 1: loan day they say they ain't got it. Oh man,
- 5:59Speaker 1: oh man, man, this money you thought was gonna come
- 6:02Speaker 1: through on this check, The check ain't there? Oh man?
- 6:05Speaker 1: How many disappointments in life can you get? You thought
- 6:08Speaker 1: you had enough credit. I was to graduate. You found
- 6:11Speaker 1: out two weeks before you didn't. You can't grant all
- 6:14Speaker 1: this hit man, what's gonna happen? Man, look at the
- 6:16Speaker 1: disappointment in my life right now. But let me explain
- 6:20Speaker 1: something to you. When you get rid of all of that,
- 6:24Speaker 1: guess what you really got? You got God, that's the
- 6:27Speaker 1: whole Anchilada. Baby, that's the ball of wax. That's the
- 6:30Speaker 1: monkeys in the barrel, that's the bag of chips. Listen
- 6:33Speaker 1: to me. If you got God, do you understand that
- 6:36Speaker 1: that's sufficient, That that's all you need. Can you feel
- 6:40Speaker 1: me now? You and God and the God in you,
- 6:46Speaker 1: it's really what you need. Stop looking for all these
- 6:49Speaker 1: outside sources for approval, to gain acceptance, to get credibility,
- 6:54Speaker 1: somebody to save you. The cavalry coming over the hill.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Why won't they recognize me? Why I won't they give
- 7:00Speaker 1: me closure? Why they fire me? Why they foe closing
- 7:04Speaker 1: on my house? Don't they know I'm laid off. When
- 7:06Speaker 1: you get through it all of at whining, it's gonna
- 7:09Speaker 1: come down to you and God and the God in you.
- 7:13Speaker 1: If God created man in his own image, God is
- 7:18Speaker 1: a part of you, that is a peace of you.
- 7:21Speaker 1: That's godly. I don't care who you are. I don't
- 7:24Speaker 1: care what mistake you made. The murderer that's sitting in
- 7:28Speaker 1: jail today because of a moment in his life that
- 7:32Speaker 1: he's now paying for, has God in him. The biggest criminal.
- 7:37Speaker 1: When he gets through criminalizing or whatever you want to
- 7:40Speaker 1: call it, he's sitting there by hisself. That is a
- 7:43Speaker 1: peace of God in him that lets him know this
- 7:46Speaker 1: ain't the way. This wrong. You can love his money
- 7:49Speaker 1: if you want to put you out of line, and
- 7:51Speaker 1: you're gonna pay. At the end of the day, when
- 7:54Speaker 1: I get through on this microphone, on this TV, all
- 7:57Speaker 1: these articles, when I get through with all of that,
- 7:59Speaker 1: you know what come down to. Because see, it ain't
- 8:01Speaker 1: always been this way for me. Yeah, I've been trying
- 8:04Speaker 1: to get here, trying to get that. Listen to me,
- 8:06Speaker 1: it's been me and God, and it's been the God
- 8:10Speaker 1: in me. When I woke up a few years back
- 8:13Speaker 1: and I realized that's really what it was, it changed
- 8:16Speaker 1: my whole life. It changed my whole life. Your whole
- 8:20Speaker 1: life can get changed when you realize that it's really
- 8:23Speaker 1: you and God and the God in you. Really man.
- 8:27Speaker 1: People disappoint you, You argue with people, You fall out
- 8:30Speaker 1: with people, You break up with people, You divorce people.
- 8:33Speaker 1: You got people who you thought was friends, all of
- 8:35Speaker 1: a sudden you find out they're talking about it's crazy
- 8:37Speaker 1: out here. You've been going, what's going on? What's really
- 8:40Speaker 1: going on? But that's because guess what you got all
- 8:44Speaker 1: yours banked on them when you're gonna banking on the
- 8:47Speaker 1: one thing that you can count on. God's word ain't changing.
- 8:50Speaker 1: We got him. It's solid. If you pray, believe, work hard,
- 8:55Speaker 1: don't doubt you get whatever you ask for. That's a
- 8:58Speaker 1: fact that there ain't no rumor speople out here doing
- 9:01Speaker 1: it every day. Now, if you ain't trying that, listen
- 9:03Speaker 1: to me. You got it within you. Oh it is there.
- 9:07Speaker 1: You just got to use it. There is a weapon
- 9:09Speaker 1: available to man called prayer. Use that. See I look
- 9:13Speaker 1: at my life, man, whenever I get a little shaky,
- 9:15Speaker 1: I look back. Oh hey, man, I ain't really talk
- 9:18Speaker 1: with him too much yesterday. Oh, tighten up. I'm just
- 9:22Speaker 1: telling you real. You got a better answer. Oh oh,
- 9:26Speaker 1: oh I know what. Oh oh my bad Steve. Now, Steve,
- 9:29Speaker 1: I ain't winning cause they ain't get me the loan
- 9:31Speaker 1: or naw, Steve. I ain't winning cause she left me.
- 9:33Speaker 1: He left me. I ain't winning, Steve, because I got
- 9:35Speaker 1: steckle these kids. I got a divorce. They fired me.
- 9:39Speaker 1: How they foreclothes on my home. That one. I ain't winning.
- 9:41Speaker 1: You ain't winning because you ain't praying. You got the praying,
- 9:44Speaker 1: believe in work. That's the key. Come on, man, you
- 9:49Speaker 1: got it within you. Oh it's there. You just got
- 9:52Speaker 1: to use it. It's just you and God, and it's
- 9:54Speaker 1: the God in you. And what y'all gonna do by that?
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening, ladies and gentlemen. It is here. It is
- 10:04Speaker 1: another given, a present we've all been gifted with. Monday
- 10:10Speaker 1: morning key words morning morning, as in the dawning of
- 10:17Speaker 1: a new day, not as in old Lord, woe is me.
- 10:22Speaker 1: I can't believe I got to go to work. That's moaning,
- 10:26Speaker 1: this is morning. Don't get the two confused. Please, because
- 10:31Speaker 1: the ideal, the ideal situation, is that we will do
- 10:36Speaker 1: this all again tomorrow. Are we clear? Let us begin.
- 10:41Speaker 1: First of all, let your church say a man a
- 10:44Speaker 1: man Amen again, Amen again. Shirley Strawberry, Good morning, Steve,
- 10:52Speaker 1: Good morning, Colin Farrell, Good Monday morning to you, Hey,
- 10:57Speaker 1: Steve Crewe the destined to be great one, junior morning,

- 11:10Speaker 1: not leave me, boy, can't jes yeah, I mean everyone,
- 11:25Speaker 1: I wasn't you introducing yourself? Oh? Surely we ain't got
- 11:29Speaker 1: time oh you want me try, just do it, bring
- 11:35Speaker 1: you out. Okay, Now, this will not This will pale
- 11:39Speaker 1: and comparison to my introduction of Price the Lord. That
- 11:44Speaker 1: was the greatest. That was the single greatest bit I've
- 11:49Speaker 1: ever written, because I wrote it originally as a bit.
- 11:53Speaker 1: But if I was introduced myself. Drum roll, please, I
- 11:57Speaker 1: need Dave to do this, drum roll and just keep
- 12:01Speaker 1: doing it over though, ladies and gentlemen, the man that
- 12:05Speaker 1: I'm about to bring to the stage needs an introduction.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Unlike those who have been stated, he needs no introduction.
- 12:18Speaker 1: I'm about to bring out a man that needs an introduction.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Born in the hollows of coal mines of Welch, West Virginia,
- 12:27Speaker 1: raised as the youngest of five by ill usin Slick
- 12:32Speaker 1: Harvey in Welsh, West Virginia, Holla number nine, he grew
- 12:37Speaker 1: up destined and accused of being nothing. Ridiculed his entire life.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Was told he will never amount to much of anything.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Studied profusely every time he opened his mouth, went to
- 12:51Speaker 1: college with no direction, your ambition, no study, habits, failed miserably,
- 12:56Speaker 1: was told over and over again, this is if you'll
- 12:59Speaker 1: never rise from the ashes. But Lord behold that came
- 13:03Speaker 1: a time when God step Dane has said, ah safe
- 13:08Speaker 1: different from all of you ladies and gentlemen. One of
- 13:12Speaker 1: the biggest damn TV stars to ever get on the
- 13:17Speaker 1: screen in the United States of America, one of the
- 13:21Speaker 1: original teams of comedy. Put your blanket and blake black
- 13:27Speaker 1: blank hands together and show your role. Set the one
- 13:31Speaker 1: and load it. Dack damn Steve's home. We'll be right
- 13:39Speaker 1: back with CLO right this. Wow, you're listening to Steve
- 13:45Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys, it is time for
- 13:48Speaker 1: ask the CLO Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey in the building.
- 13:53Speaker 1: This one is from Sandy and Queens. Sandy writes something
- 13:57Speaker 1: in my late forties and I have two small dogs
- 13:59Speaker 1: that are my fur babies. I've been dating a new
- 14:03Speaker 1: guy for almost two months and he still hasn't warmed
- 14:06Speaker 1: up to my dogs. They can't tell that he doesn't
- 14:09Speaker 1: like them, so they steer clear of him. On Saturday,
- 14:12Speaker 1: he and I relaxed by my pool and then went
- 14:15Speaker 1: upstairs to take a nap. When I woke up, he
- 14:18Speaker 1: was asleep next to me on the couch and my
- 14:20Speaker 1: dogs were on my third floor balcony alone. That was
- 14:24Speaker 1: very unsafe to leave them like that? Is it a
- 14:27Speaker 1: deal breaker if he's unkind to my dogs? For me,
- 14:31Speaker 1: it ain't. But you know, obviously you haven't. Some damn
- 14:36Speaker 1: troubles with it. But let me clear you up on
- 14:39Speaker 1: a couple of things. You said that the dogs can't
- 14:45Speaker 1: tell if he likes them or not, so they steer
- 14:48Speaker 1: clear of him. Oh they know, and that's why the
- 14:55Speaker 1: ass was up there on that balcony. They was discussing suicide.
- 15:00Speaker 1: You're right now, this dude, and every day something. Why
- 15:04Speaker 1: would it be a deal breaker. The man is not
- 15:08Speaker 1: a dog person. I'm not a dog person, but we
- 15:12Speaker 1: have a dog. Marjorie loves dogs, so we have a dog,
- 15:17Speaker 1: and so I'm not I'm not a dog person. You know,
- 15:21Speaker 1: I treat back cool. He seen me coming, He come
- 15:24Speaker 1: up to me because you know, I'm gon give him
- 15:25Speaker 1: a rub and all this hill. But like, why don't
- 15:27Speaker 1: want you going nowhere with me? You don't. You don't
- 15:31Speaker 1: walk him dog, You don't walcome walk him. You know
- 15:36Speaker 1: he has people for that. No anybody walked up open. Yeah,
- 15:44Speaker 1: you know, we got in visifice where he can't go
- 15:47Speaker 1: past certain boundaries and so he happy. He out there
- 15:50Speaker 1: free don't nobody walking. But he's well trained. But I'm
- 15:54Speaker 1: not a dog person. But Marjorie not fin to break
- 15:58Speaker 1: up with me because I can't cozy up to some
- 16:03Speaker 1: fair babies. Now, you in your late forties by yourself
- 16:09Speaker 1: as it is. No what what I'm saying is you
- 16:16Speaker 1: and your late forties. You the metal man that you're
- 16:18Speaker 1: having a nice time with. The reason you were able
- 16:21Speaker 1: to meet him and have a knife time was because
- 16:23Speaker 1: you were single. Part of the reason why you single
- 16:27Speaker 1: is I don't know why you single. But everybody ain't
- 16:31Speaker 1: got to like your damn dogs. Now. You can call
- 16:34Speaker 1: them fair babies if you want to, but them as
- 16:36Speaker 1: damn dogs. That's what they are. They're not human beings.
- 16:41Speaker 1: And if you watch dogs, but he will tell you
- 16:44Speaker 1: the biggest problem with most dogs is people don't treat
- 16:48Speaker 1: them like dogs. Now, just the professional dude in a
- 16:55Speaker 1: lawsuits a lot of troubles because his dog been bit
- 17:03Speaker 1: Queen's dog and they tried to cover it up, cover
- 17:06Speaker 1: it up and said that her dog got hit by
- 17:08Speaker 1: a car. Well, his dog, big Queen Latifa dog. They
- 17:13Speaker 1: was fighting, what you know, and they okay, I mean dogs.
- 17:19Speaker 1: He's in a big lawsuit yeah, I go to jail
- 17:23Speaker 1: behind him. Dog, Now you will go to And it
- 17:25Speaker 1: ain't just Queen Latifa's dog. He covered it up. It's
- 17:28Speaker 1: some other stuff. Oh yeah, I ain't. I ain't got
- 17:30Speaker 1: nothing to do with that. I just repeat what he's saying.
- 17:32Speaker 1: I didn't say. You know, he say his dog. Get
- 17:39Speaker 1: what you're saying. Come on, let go because I don't
- 17:42Speaker 1: want to be bought in any court on none of
- 17:44Speaker 1: this ship. That's right. We're gonna move on, all right,
- 17:51Speaker 1: Uh Jesse and Boston says, my thirty three year old
- 17:54Speaker 1: girlfriend is going to cause me to get jumped on.
- 17:57Speaker 1: She always has a negative disposition. And we'll go over
- 18:00Speaker 1: the stupidest things. We were in the grocery store and
- 18:03Speaker 1: our basket hit a big black guy's basket. He apologized,
- 18:06Speaker 1: but she did not. She told him that he needs
- 18:10Speaker 1: to watch where it is fat, but it's going He
- 18:15Speaker 1: looked at me, and I quickly apologized and pointed out
- 18:18Speaker 1: that it was her fault. I'm getting tired of telling
- 18:21Speaker 1: her to watch her mouth. Would I be wrong if
- 18:23Speaker 1: I let her handle her own battles from now on? Hey, dog,
- 18:28Speaker 1: First of all, you can't let your woman handle her
- 18:30Speaker 1: own battles. That's that's not what a relationship is supposed
- 18:34Speaker 1: to be. My suggestion is to break up. Don't get
- 18:39Speaker 1: away from no dog. I'm telling you, dog, you already
- 18:42Speaker 1: see what's gonna happen. This bad attitude person. But see,
- 18:47Speaker 1: she ain't just got this bad attitude with people at
- 18:49Speaker 1: the grocery stuff. This bad attitude is inside your house.
- 18:54Speaker 1: This bad attitude is when you out on dates. It
- 18:56Speaker 1: that attitude is so bad you to rode into us.
- 19:00Speaker 1: It's how bad it is. And you know that's right.
- 19:03Speaker 1: And that's exactly why he responded. I said, men can
- 19:08Speaker 1: see your ass can come and he saw this one clearly.
- 19:13Speaker 1: So he apologized to the big black dude because he
- 19:16Speaker 1: already know because the dude looked at him. Hey, bro,
- 19:20Speaker 1: like you see in our mind, we're going, hey, man,
- 19:22Speaker 1: get your girl because I can't say nothing to her,
- 19:25Speaker 1: but I can't talk to you. And he know that.
- 19:28Speaker 1: And bro, that's just not a safe thing. And Bro,
- 19:31Speaker 1: this ain't the first time, and it's going to get
- 19:35Speaker 1: worse because it's gone unchecked and somebody gonna check up.
- 19:40Speaker 1: One time. She's gonna say something to the wrong sister
- 19:42Speaker 1: and it ain't gonna go good. She could have read
- 19:45Speaker 1: that same card up in the call ain't the grocery store,
- 19:48Speaker 1: same grocery car into calling for real in the grocery store.
- 19:52Speaker 1: Do you know how this would have went? Run up
- 19:57Speaker 1: old caller's hill in a grocery store and see what happened? Anyway, Sorry, Carl,
- 20:06Speaker 1: I have to use you in these examples of female
- 20:08Speaker 1: violence you have allegedly when you used me as you
- 20:19Speaker 1: don't know you. This is what you've heard. Oh I
- 20:24Speaker 1: have proof. I have no no, no no no, oh
- 20:29Speaker 1: no no no. Everybody's passed. Sometimes resurfaces. All of us
- 20:35Speaker 1: know this, and yours has resurfaced in several conversations I've
- 20:40Speaker 1: had over the years. I just kept it quiet. See
- 20:45Speaker 1: right there. See you and ass were in business when
- 20:49Speaker 1: you use the term SNI right there? All right? Came
- 20:54Speaker 1: up next church complains with Reverend Motown and Deacon death Jam.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Right after this. You are listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, we'll talk
- 21:05Speaker 1: about the New York City Fashion Weekend. We'll also talk
- 21:08Speaker 1: about the met Gala which is tonight. Also, Jaheem R
- 21:12Speaker 1: and B singer Jaheem is in some trouble. He's charged
- 21:17Speaker 1: with an animal cruelty. Yeah. We'll talk about all of
- 21:21Speaker 1: these stories at the top of the hour. Yeah, but
- 21:23Speaker 1: right now it is Monday. You know what that means.
- 21:26Speaker 1: It's time for church complaints with Reverend Motown and Deacon
- 21:29Speaker 1: deaf jam. We we all heal, We monostiously gather in
- 21:43Speaker 1: a way to be overtrary to people's and wanting everybody

- 22:25Speaker 1: of our members have been able to buy their hair.
- 22:28Speaker 1: They are all unrecognizable. Any suggestions on how we figure
- 22:33Speaker 1: out who is who because we cannot tell at this point. Well,
- 22:38Speaker 1: we've solved this problem before when we had or or
- 22:43Speaker 1: the our lash or factory or stop delivering or our
- 22:48Speaker 1: last years remember last year and or civil oured members,
- 22:52Speaker 1: was you recognizable then or so we're gonna go back
- 22:56Speaker 1: to the same or same thing I came with form.
- 23:00Speaker 1: We're gonna go with me yea, name tags. It's what
- 23:03Speaker 1: we're gonna wear service. I want them move outside of
- 23:08Speaker 1: robes or she uniforms, or if you're downstairs cooking, if
- 23:13Speaker 1: you're participating in the big stale or the car wash,
- 23:16Speaker 1: please have on the name tag so we can say
- 23:21Speaker 1: especially sister clare Esa Thoughton. Please why now why, I said,
- 23:28Speaker 1: because I've always had trouble or or determining whether it
- 23:34Speaker 1: was Claire Riesa or Thomas thought. So I've always confused
- 23:42Speaker 1: them too. So and they were married, and so I
- 23:45Speaker 1: know they need named tags. They look exactly and she
- 23:51Speaker 1: has a nice go teeter, now got a nice Now
- 23:55Speaker 1: that was a period who I knew exactly who she
- 23:57Speaker 1: was because she was pregnant. But you know his stomach
- 24:04Speaker 1: was big too. So for the first six months I
- 24:07Speaker 1: was still confused. That last trial, Master I saw the difference.
- 24:11Speaker 1: I said, Praise God, alright, fast, let's see Brother Reynard Banks,
- 24:21Speaker 1: as you know, has three tens and he's asking the
- 24:24Speaker 1: church to help get them. Whiten. It's your Kyle passing.
- 24:28Speaker 1: They charging forty five dollars per two. But Raynard is
- 24:31Speaker 1: asking us to help get his three teeth, his only
- 24:34Speaker 1: three teeth. Whiton will counsel brother Reynard on this before
- 24:41Speaker 1: and there was really no need to get your teeth,
- 24:45Speaker 1: Whiten due to the fact that there's only three. And
- 24:49Speaker 1: then then and they're not even together. No, you got
- 25:00Speaker 1: to move around after, but they located at pass. You're
- 25:07Speaker 1: one in the middle, one in the back, in the
- 25:11Speaker 1: back on the left front fame tooth so to to
- 25:18Speaker 1: to get a smile, you got to move your head
- 25:21Speaker 1: back and forth, real face. You got one mola back.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Then that's just chew toothy. Va pastor, I don't know
- 25:34Speaker 1: if you're gonna approve that's not But the one hundred
- 25:37Speaker 1: Black Little People Organization is asking us to make a
- 25:42Speaker 1: donation to help build a small wing onto the church.
- 25:46Speaker 1: They want to worship alone. They they're complaining about not
- 25:50Speaker 1: being able to see and so they want a wing
- 25:54Speaker 1: put on. This is the one hundred Black Little People Organization. Well,
- 25:58Speaker 1: I have a much cheap solution than that. Okay, let's
- 26:04Speaker 1: just buy Bobbie doghouse. Shut up now, I think that
- 26:20Speaker 1: might be an insuct too. Unhast I don't know that's
- 26:23Speaker 1: if that's why do the wing? Who you can have
- 26:26Speaker 1: an entire home, That's what I'm saying. Please move on,
- 26:33Speaker 1: put three of the side by side and have a
- 26:35Speaker 1: maintient stick and move. Oh why are you positive? And
- 26:43Speaker 1: when I'm trying to figure if it would it looked
- 26:44Speaker 1: like now, because three or four those really wouldn't look nice,
- 26:47Speaker 1: I'm just saying right now, I bought one for my
- 26:52Speaker 1: granddaughter and she's crazy about it, just loves it. I
- 26:57Speaker 1: ain't passing that. We got a serious situation. And here
- 27:00Speaker 1: we got a brother in distress. Now listen to me, brother,

- 27:06Speaker 1: His wife told him Saturday, when you get through cutting
- 27:10Speaker 1: the yard, come in the house. I got something I
- 27:14Speaker 1: want to ask you. Jermaine is still outside in the
- 27:20Speaker 1: yard this morning, cutting the yard with a power of silvers.
- 27:24Speaker 1: He will not go in that house. He's texting us
- 27:29Speaker 1: to swing by and pick him up. Yeah. Well, I've
- 27:34Speaker 1: been in that particularized situation before, and I am going
- 27:39Speaker 1: to recommend that we swing by and pick him up.
- 27:42Speaker 1: But Lord, don't go in now, Please don't go in
- 27:48Speaker 1: that house. Because when you come in the house, I
- 27:50Speaker 1: have something to ask you. It's obviously something she don't
- 27:55Speaker 1: want to ask. Why are you cutting the graves? Exactly exactly,
- 27:59Speaker 1: don't go in there, brother ray No. And he quit
- 28:02Speaker 1: cutting with the linemo and started with a past sailor.
- 28:05Speaker 1: That's when you know you stretching it. We got about
- 28:08Speaker 1: three more hours on this show, and we might will
- 28:11Speaker 1: swing by and grab you, all right, And I know

- 32:14Speaker 1: what is going on? I mean, once you see a story,
- 32:24Speaker 1: once you see something didn't go right with this foolishness,
- 32:28Speaker 1: Why would you get right in that same situation and

- 33:49Speaker 1: I'm not really a pet guy, but I am anti
- 33:52Speaker 1: animal cruelty. That is no need for that. It don't
- 33:57Speaker 1: make damn sense. Man, what the dog due to you? You? Dogs?
- 34:02Speaker 1: Dogs are domesticated, man. They may they make great companionship
- 34:07Speaker 1: for people, they really do. They got service dogs out here, man,

- 34:14Speaker 1: are like really cool man. Like our dog bad double
- 34:16Speaker 1: in pincher, like he're a friendly dog. He's well. But

- 35:45Speaker 1: That was a lot about your character, how you animals?
- 35:48Speaker 1: That really does worse. His own songs got a new
- 35:51Speaker 1: different meaning. Now, just in case I don't make it
- 35:54Speaker 1: home tonight, they couldn't have going to jail. Coming up

- 39:12Speaker 1: look nothing like him. More of the story, Ladies, get
- 39:17Speaker 1: yourself on the man or they ride or die. Right
- 39:21Speaker 1: coming up with thirty four minutes after, we'll have more
- 39:23Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right after this. You're
- 39:26Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. What's going on?
- 39:32Speaker 1: The Biden administration announced a COVID nineteen vaccine mandate plan
- 39:36Speaker 1: that directs the US Labor Department to require all businesses
- 39:40Speaker 1: with one hundred employees or more to ensure their workers
- 39:44Speaker 1: are either vaccinated or tested once a week. President Biden
- 39:48Speaker 1: also signed an executive order requiring all government employees to
- 39:52Speaker 1: get their COVID nineteen vaccine shots, with no option for
- 39:56Speaker 1: regular testing to opt out. Some Republican officials criticized his
- 40:00Speaker 1: move as overreact overreaching. Health experts say the president should
- 40:05Speaker 1: have implemented stricter measures to curb the recent surge of
- 40:09Speaker 1: COVID nineteen cases. Now. According to CNN, an average of
- 40:13Speaker 1: eleven hundred people died in the US from COVID nineteen
- 40:18Speaker 1: each day over the last week. Data from the US
- 40:22Speaker 1: Centers for Disease Control and Prevention showed on Thursday the
- 40:26Speaker 1: rate of death since late August is the highest it's
- 40:30Speaker 1: been since early March. Sheley. We are tired of giving
- 40:36Speaker 1: people these facts. We're exhausted. You're stupid if you don't
- 40:41Speaker 1: think COVID is real, and if you even dumber if
- 40:44Speaker 1: you don't think it's legit, and explain that to the
- 40:47Speaker 1: people who have lost love ones to this disease. Right.
- 40:50Speaker 1: There is no cure for this, but there is a
- 40:53Speaker 1: way to make the symptoms if you contracted not death. Yeah.
- 41:03Speaker 1: I've had an employee very close to me spend two
- 41:06Speaker 1: weeks in the hospital on a ventilator. Thank god he
- 41:09Speaker 1: made it through, but man, it was touching. Go for
- 41:12Speaker 1: this young man, now, listen to me. I was watching
- 41:16Speaker 1: football this weekend, especially college football, and I watched two games.
- 41:21Speaker 1: I watched Ohio State with over one hundred thousand people,
- 41:24Speaker 1: and I watched Michigan at the Big House with over
- 41:27Speaker 1: one hundred thousand people. Do you know I watched that game.
- 41:30Speaker 1: I saw one Oregon player against the Buckey's hat on
- 41:34Speaker 1: a mask. Wow. I saw over a hundred thousand young
- 41:41Speaker 1: people and old people too, but mostly young pat in
- 41:44Speaker 1: two stadiums, and ain't nobody have on a mask. I
- 41:49Speaker 1: don't know how you could go and be comfortable with that.
- 41:52Speaker 1: I just I can't imagine. And so I looked up online.
- 41:57Speaker 1: I went to a House state because my daughter's graduated
- 41:59Speaker 1: from House states, and then I'm Ohio boy, right, So
- 42:03Speaker 1: I went on line to find out what was the
- 42:05Speaker 1: COVID requirements to get in the game. Ohio State has
- 42:10Speaker 1: just passed a mandate just two weeks ago where everybody
- 42:15Speaker 1: at Ohio State has to get a vaccination shot. So
- 42:19Speaker 1: that's being implemented now. But that's not that didn't cover
- 42:23Speaker 1: this game because you gotta take your first shot, you
- 42:27Speaker 1: gotta wait twenty one days. So I already know that wasn't.
- 42:31Speaker 1: In fact, I'm not saying none of them were vaccinated.
- 42:33Speaker 1: I'm not saying that, but out of one hundred thousand people,
- 42:36Speaker 1: you best believe you. I was sitting up there just looking.
- 42:40Speaker 1: I said, is this what's called a super spreader? Yeah?
- 42:46Speaker 1: I didn't see a mask at all. I was like, wined,
- 42:50Speaker 1: I mean, man, nobody, I mean seeds of people jumping
- 42:55Speaker 1: having a good time. I'm just happy people out, you know,
- 42:57Speaker 1: enjoying their life again. I'm happy for people like that.
- 43:00Speaker 1: But man, we ain't there yet, y'all. That I ain't
- 43:03Speaker 1: see nobody with a mask. I see it. I went
- 43:07Speaker 1: to a UPS store the other day to mail something
- 43:10Speaker 1: off Steve. I was on the phone. I jumped out
- 43:12Speaker 1: of my car and ran on the door and I
- 43:14Speaker 1: got in. I was like, oh my god, I forgot
- 43:16Speaker 1: my mask. I had to run back out, you know,
- 43:21Speaker 1: out of the store and grabbing my purse and get
- 43:24Speaker 1: my mask. But it freaked me out that I didn't
- 43:27Speaker 1: have a mask on. And I yeah, and I'm fully yeah,
- 43:32Speaker 1: you know, I do that sometimes. But what I do
- 43:34Speaker 1: is I keep my mask on my wrist. Okay, I
- 43:37Speaker 1: slide my hand through the through the loops. I keep
- 43:41Speaker 1: my mask on my wrist. So if I'm in my car,
- 43:43Speaker 1: when I get in my car, I take my mask off,
- 43:45Speaker 1: I put it on my wrist. Okay. That way, when
- 43:49Speaker 1: I get out wherever I go, I got my mask. Yeah,
- 43:52Speaker 1: so I just keep it on my wrist and then
- 43:55Speaker 1: that way. I ain't got to say that's that's just
- 43:57Speaker 1: a thought for people that's struggling keeping it up. I

- 55:24Speaker 1: the Strawberry Letter. Thank you, f you subject. I got
- 55:28Speaker 1: a keymate for his place, Dear Stephen Shirley. I've been
- 55:32Speaker 1: married to my husband for six years and he's a
- 55:34Speaker 1: good man, very reserved and he doesn't talk a lot.
- 55:38Speaker 1: My mother always said to watch the quiet ones because
- 55:41Speaker 1: they are very sneaky. He works in another city that
- 55:45Speaker 1: is two hours away, and he has a studio apartment
- 55:48Speaker 1: that his company provides, so he usually drives there on
- 55:52Speaker 1: Monday mornings and he comes home on Thursday or Friday evening.
- 55:57Speaker 1: I started to see him using his phone more and
- 56:00Speaker 1: being distracted. When I talked to him, he said he
- 56:03Speaker 1: started a social media account and it helps him pass
- 56:06Speaker 1: time when he's alone in his little apartment. I don't
- 56:10Speaker 1: think anything. I didn't think anything about it until a
- 56:12Speaker 1: woman messaged me, asking if Chuck is my husband. I
- 56:17Speaker 1: responded that my husband's name is Charles. Then she responded
- 56:21Speaker 1: that he told her to call him Chuck. I was
- 56:25Speaker 1: livid and could not help but think that he's cheating
- 56:28Speaker 1: on me. I asked her where she met my husband,
- 56:31Speaker 1: and she blocked me. I found my husband's apartment key
- 56:34Speaker 1: in his glove box in his car, and I went
- 56:37Speaker 1: and had a key made. I asked my mom to
- 56:40Speaker 1: keep my daughter, and I drove to my husband's apartment
- 56:43Speaker 1: late at night to surprise him. I tried my key
- 56:46Speaker 1: and it didn't work. He opened the door and said
- 56:49Speaker 1: he was on to me and couldn't believe I stole
- 56:53Speaker 1: his key. He was in some some silky sex sexy boxers,
- 56:59Speaker 1: just silk boxers that I had never seen before, and
- 57:03Speaker 1: a candle was lit on his coffee table and it
- 57:05Speaker 1: smelled like gingerbread. I wasn't sure if that was really
- 57:09Speaker 1: my husband. He didn't invite me in, so I tried
- 57:12Speaker 1: to walk past him, and he stopped me and said
- 57:15Speaker 1: I needed to go home. I got loud, just in
- 57:18Speaker 1: case someone was inside. He told me if I made
- 57:21Speaker 1: a scene, it could affect his corporate housing. I was
- 57:24Speaker 1: so hurt and confused. How could he tell me to leave?
- 57:28Speaker 1: How could he tell me to leave? What's going on? Well,
- 57:36Speaker 1: I say, you know what's going on? You know, you
- 57:39Speaker 1: know what you saw, you know what you smelled, you
- 57:41Speaker 1: know you saw the silk boxers, all that. There was
- 57:43Speaker 1: someone in there, obviously, the candles burning, all of that.
- 57:47Speaker 1: That's why he didn't want to let you in. I'm
- 57:50Speaker 1: just surprised that you left without putting up any kind
- 57:52Speaker 1: of fight. Did you not want to know what was
- 57:57Speaker 1: going on? Did you not want to know the truth?
- 57:58Speaker 1: Why'd you drive all the way down there? I just
- 58:01Speaker 1: don't know any man or any woman who would have
- 58:04Speaker 1: backed down I had not gone in there. The natural
- 58:09Speaker 1: human reaction seems to be, or would have been, to
- 58:12Speaker 1: just go in the apartment, no matter what. Get in
- 58:15Speaker 1: there some kind of way. All he said was your
- 58:17Speaker 1: loud voice could affect his corporate housing. Who cares about
- 58:21Speaker 1: his stupid corporate housing at this moment. This man, your husband,
- 58:25Speaker 1: Charles Chuck, whatever his name is, is leading some sort
- 58:29Speaker 1: of double life here while he's out of town for
- 58:32Speaker 1: those four to four days Monday through Thursday or Friday evening.
- 58:38Speaker 1: You talked to some woman on the phone who asked
- 58:41Speaker 1: you about him, then blocked you when you told her
- 58:43Speaker 1: it was your husband. You don't even know if it
- 58:45Speaker 1: was her in the apartment. You could have at least
- 58:47Speaker 1: tried that. And that's the problem to me about you,
- 58:52Speaker 1: because you don't know anything. You're his wife of six years.
- 58:57Speaker 1: I think this is a mess of epic proportions. You
- 58:59Speaker 1: need some kind of answers. That's why you should have
- 59:02Speaker 1: stayed and not let him run you away. Because your husband,
- 59:06Speaker 1: mister silk Boxers, isn't going to tell you the truth.
- 59:09Speaker 1: I mean, you have to get it on your own.
- 59:11Speaker 1: I think the truth is that he's at play when
- 59:14Speaker 1: he's away. And so now that you're woke, what are
- 59:17Speaker 1: you gonna do about it? Steve? Well, this is a
- 59:24Speaker 1: very very interesting take on the letter. Oh, for those
- 59:29Speaker 1: of you who are married and have a husband and
- 59:34Speaker 1: I want to follow Sherley's advice, I recommend that you
- 59:37Speaker 1: take it. I thought it was good, solid advice for
- 59:41Speaker 1: women who are married and think the way Shirley thinks.
- 59:46Speaker 1: When we come back, I'm going to take this letter
- 59:49Speaker 1: line by line, and I'm going to show you from
- 59:53Speaker 1: the male perspective why this letter is utter nonsense and trade.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: This letter came hold up in the court of common
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: sense because as a man, as a man, he did
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: everything he was supposed to do. Clap, clap, praise, praise, hallelujah.
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: He is a man where every man listening to this
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: letter was I hear you dog. All right, when we
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: come back, I will explain to you the male version
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: of this letter, the lies. In other words, twenty three
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: minutes after I got a key made for his place,
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: we'll be back right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: Morning Show. All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap Today's
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter, the subject I got a key made for
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: his place. Let's hear it. Well, Shirley gave a very
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: very appropriate answer. I must admit, and it is. She
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: gave the answer that protects a woman's hard She gave
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: an answer that allows a woman to have empower men.
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: She gave an answer that makes a woman stand up
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: for herself and get her rights. She gave that answer. Now, ladies,
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: you need to learn something too. So now let me
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: give you this letter from the male perspective. Why we
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: as men who heard this letter can see what he's
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: clinging to. Dear Stephen Sherley, I've been mad to my
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: husband for six years. He's a good man. He's a
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: good man. See what she said about it. He's a
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: good man right down. We are innocent in this country
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: until proven guilty. Come on now here, we go very reserved.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: He don't like to talk a lot. My mother always
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: said to watch the choir ones because they're very sneaky.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: Once again, we've come off the letter into a female perspective.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: What is your mama got to do with this? Now?
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: She called him the man sneaky because he quiet. He
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: just quiet. He works in another city that's two hours away.
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: He has a studio apartment that the company provides, so
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: he usually drives down on Monday morning, comes homes on
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: Thursday or Friday evening. I started to see him using
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: his phone more and being distracted. When I talked to him,
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: he said he started a social media account and it
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: helps him pastime while he's alone in his little apartment.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: The man don't like being in that little apartment away
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: from his family. Quiet like that. It's hard at him
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: quiet all these hours. I'm driving, working, trying to feed
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: my family alone. I don't like video games, he don't
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: watch sports. He just in here with a social media account.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: I didn't think any about anything about him right there?
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: You ain't think nothing about it? So what is we
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: writing a letter? Fall? Until a woman messaged me asking
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: me if Chuck is my husband? I responded that my
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: husband name is child right there? Who the hell is Chuck?
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: I'm wo you your husband named Charles. Some woman message
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: you and asked you who the hell was Chuck. You
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: told her my husband named child Ever dance, Ever dance.
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: She responded that he told her to call him Chuck.
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: I was living and could not help but think he's
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: cheating on me. Think you just said he was a
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: good man. Why would you think that because of some
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: dude named Chuck that really ain't your husband? Because your
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: husband named child? What I asked? I asked her where
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: she met my husband? And she blocked me. You know
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: why she blocked you because she didn't ask you all.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: She asked you, what's your husband named Chuck? You said, no,
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: his name child. Conversation over you is blocked because you
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: answered the question. She don't wanna talk to you no more.
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: I found my husband's apartment key in his glove box
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: in his car. I went in and had the keymaid.
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: I asked my mom to keep my daughter, and I
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: drove to my husband's partment late night to surprise him.
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: I tried my key and it didn't work. Hell, now
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: it ain't gonna work because you took the key to
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: a cheap ass lock. Smell. Oh up, you know they
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: get it wrong all the time. Now I know it's
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: some people sitting up there talking about he changed a lot. Ye, well,
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: there's no proof of that. Oh hey, you go now
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: you want proof. See you tried to sneak him and
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: God said no, sub I'm gonna not make this a
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: good key. I tried my key and didn't work. He
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: opened the door and said he was on to me
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: and couldn't believe I stole his key. Now right there,
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: your position could be he changed the lock, but you
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: can't change the lock cause it's corporate housing. Come on,
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: let this said. So now yo, look key trick stealing
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: trick didn't work, and he can't change the lock cause
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: it's corporate housing. I tried the key, it didn't I
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: stole his key. He was in some silky boxes I'd
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: never seen before, and a candle was lit on his
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: coffee table, and it smelled like gingerbread. The man like gingerbread,
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: and you never took the time to get the recipe.
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: The cooking man, no damn gingerbread. So now he didn't
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: had a buy damn candle. You not being the wife
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: you was supposed to be, and la how to cook
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: some damn gingerbread? Night A man got it. He can't
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: eat the gingerbread. All he doing smell the gingerbread, and
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: he liked six. He boxing draws while he eating gingerbread. Yeah,
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: he didn't invite me in. So I tried to walk
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: past me, and he stopped me and said I needed
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: to go home. You got to go home this corporate housing.
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: I'm busy, I'm working. I'm in here and I'm swelling
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: this gingerbread and get my mind right to go to
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: work tomorrow. I got lied just in case somebody was inside.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: He told me if I made a scene, it could
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: affect my corporate housing. Slash mess up y'all's money. I
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: was so hurt and confused. How can he tell me
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: to leave? The fact is you left without finding out
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: if it was a woman in there, So that for
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: that was no woman in there. The man like gingerbread,
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: and he brought himself some new draws. What is we
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: talking about? Case clone? Stick to your life, fellas, hang
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: on to the life or whatever. They don't see. Hush,
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: she ain't there? All right? Post your comments on Today's
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: Verry Letter at Steve Harvey FM and Instagram and Facebook.
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: Check out the Strawberry Letter podcast on demand coming up
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: in forty six minutes after the hour of Sports Talk
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: with Junior. Right after this, you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: All right, guys, time now for Junior and Sports Talk.
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: What you got Junior? All right? Shirtie First, I'm gonna
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: cover to the NFL tomorrow after Week one is all
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: the way over to we'll have all of that update.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: But right now we got a few things we've gotta cover.
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: Southern Heritage Classic took place in Memphis this past Saturday,
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: and the game HBCU Game Man was televised on ESPN three.
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: It's big that Dion Sanders and Eddie George two coaches
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: for both of these teams. Yea, yeah, it was. It
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: was a great game. Man. Let me tell you something,
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: Dion Sanders, sound rage Sanders. That boy pass for the
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: third most yards into Southern Classic history. It was he
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: did a great job. Yeah, man, third most yards ever. Man.
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: But JSU took it thirty eight to sixteen over Tennessee
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: State or Eddie Joel having a rough start over Tennessee State.
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: He's owing two now, Prime two and over are already
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: this season. Now here's the story we need to get
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: to and I'm pretty show we need to find out
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: what's really going on. Saturday night, holy Field got knocked
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: out by t KO in the first round by Victor Belford,
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: who was a Hall of Fame mm A fighter. That
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: means he was the first round I mean you were
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: trying to either get the fight on or get to
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: your seat and it was over. Yeah. Yeah, we don't
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: We don't know why we keep going to get these
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: old heavyweight champions man and putting him in his ring.
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: We need to stop doing this. Holy Field, who is
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: fifty eight years old, said he wasn't hurt. He wasn't
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: hurt in the fight, but he was glad the ref
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: stopped the fight when he did. Translation. Yeah, translation is
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: my ass was hurt. I'm glad he stopped the fight.
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: What he did. Well, See, first of all, let me
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: help you with understanding something. When you get knocked out,
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: you're not hurt. You're unconscious, you don't know what the
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: hell going on. You ain't hurt that that's what getting
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: knocked that is. And the reason you get knocked out
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: is because your body has gone into shock. That's why
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: you knocked out because your body went into shock. So
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: now the way it copes with that is let me
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: check out of here because I stick around for the
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: rest of this ass movement. It's gonna be too much.
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: So your body shut off. That want to knockout in
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: that shut down? Yeah, Holy Fild wasn't hurt. Because he
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: wasn't hell yea. Well, now Belleford Belford now is setting
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: his eyes on Jake Paul. Man. He want to fight
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: with Jake Paul. You know, I don't know what's going
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: on in boxing, but all of these fights we have
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: and now who to contenders? Now? You know what are
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: we doing? You know all that it's just entertainment, Julian.
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: You know Victor bell for Victor Belford is a real fighter.
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: He fights for real holy Field fifty eight. Man, I
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: know that's too old, way too old. Was he read
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: somewhere he said he's physically in shape. He just slow.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: He got it no more. I mean you sitting down,
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: You got your chips, you got your nachos, you got
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: your hot dog. You put it dan Over, I'll be dail.
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: We'll be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: Show coming up at the top of the hour. Right
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to Harvey Morning Show. Here's a
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: question for you guys. What's something you wish you knew
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: before you had kids? So here's something we saw on Facebook. Okay,
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: I have three kids, and there's a lot I thought
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: I knew, but I had no idea about having kids.
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: If I could tell my younger self one thing about
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: having kids, I'd say that you're going to have to
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: learn how to do some serious, serious scheduling. It's all
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: about working on their schedule, not yours. Okay, As a parent,
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: what advice do you give your friends who are about
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: to have kids? Uh? Good dog, Yeah, Steve, go ahead,
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: I recommend foster care. Gate just right out to gate dogs.
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: Don't even send yourself through this right here. If I
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: hadn't know what I knew, I would have looked into
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: foster care. I just wasn't not aware of the program.
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: But I would to put mine in it. I'd to
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: put mine into into foster care and just let him
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: build character from there, you know, because I know a
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: lot of people that came through the foster care system
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: that have a lot of drive and gut and grit
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: and know how to overcome things. My children, Yeah, I
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: gave him a little soft ass life. I should have
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: put him into the program, got him in the system.
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: That's my recommendation to anybody. Have him damn kids, or
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: you don't have kids, but you have your nephews. Oh man,
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: differently disowner your blood. Yeah, I sure will. Yeah, Yeah,
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: because I'm gonna tell you something. It don't make no
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: sense for this kid to be able just much medication
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: and not know nothing. Them pills is real, tea. You
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: have to take that pill. That boy don't take that pill.
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: Did a d h D pill. If he don't take
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: that pill, you in for a world of hurt. I'm
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: take that much right now. You're in a world of
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: heard if you don't take that pill. Get your ass
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: off the couch. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, man, I'm here.
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: He just knew it. He didn't know, you know, I
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: kind of call one time. The teacher called me, no,
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: lie said, could you come up here because your nephew
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: is standing on his head in the corner while they're
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: taking the test. To get your ass in the chair
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: and take the test with the ruthy. I'm so sorry, man,
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: I ain't suppoed be talking. Just disowner. Don't even know why.
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: I don't even go in. Come on, nephew, you have kids,
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: give them to your mama and daddy the first eight
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: to ten years. Just just sit back and just watch,
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: just letting mom and daddy hand up. Yeah, somebody that
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: no about kids exactly this, Gim away and sit back
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: and watch. That's it. Just givem gim to him and
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: watch and see how mom and dad are doing, because
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: you wouldn't watching when mom and dadd was raising you.
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: But just to sit back and watch this day yourself something. Yeah.
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: You guys all said the same thing. Basically, it's too
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: much worth it. I say, no, adults should be saying like,
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: why don't you get the dog? Lad got your mouth?
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: This boy he did, bet the damn dog get your ass.
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: I'm sorry, y'all. You don't have nobody act like this
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: right he take it hill your family, I'm saying, oh wow,
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: because all you're gonna hear is a bunch of he
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: did what they did? What? What? What? What? When? Ye?
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: But what yo? Why where is he? And for all
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: of us and for all of us to have kids
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: other than Shirley and Carlin. Shirley and Carlin would tell you,
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: you know, raise their kids, love them and all this hell?
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: Ben time me telling you truth. Oh, our philosophy doesn't
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: work this years of pain years. First of all, your
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: life will never be the same. It's not yours anymore.
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: It's you get to fit some of your life in
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: around as you got to First of all, you got
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: to feed them, dress them, carry them, hold them everything.
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: Then when they do learn how to walk, you got
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: to follow behind the ass because I ain't no telling
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: what they're fitting to do with their little shop behind. Yeah,
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: I had the bus stop with no pants on. Get
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: your way after you pans on, I get the bus stop.
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: Just embarrassing here, But all right, guys, thank you. We'll
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: at twenty minutes after. Right after this, you're listening to
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: the Sting Show and tell me something good news. Got
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: to give a shout out to Vice President Kamala Harris.
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: On this past Friday, Vice President Harris visited Hampton University
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: during HBCU Week and she contends that historically, presently and
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: in the future, the partnership of black students and agencies
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: like NASA, NOAH and other STEM related organizations are vital.
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: That's what she said. Um, so congratulations to her for
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: saying that and for being a part of HBC You
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: Week and everything. Yes, you know, HBCUs she is Howard University. Yes,

- 1:16:15Speaker 1: million dollars in scholarships to five small HBCUs that starts
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: today until September twenty six incoming and active students at
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: those schools who qualify for financial aid and go to
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: their school's website to apply. That is very good news. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: I love it. Taking care of her, I love it.
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: I love it. Is getting strong baby, Yes, yes, yes,
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: they are. Oh, we gotta say happy birthday too, Steve.
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: You'll do something big for him. I'm sure your friend
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: Tyler Perry, it is his birthday today today. Yea, it
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: is his birthday today. Yes, yeah. One thing about having
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: friends like that, you ain't got, Bram. We'll be back
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: at thirty three minutes after the hour. Right after this,
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys,
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: it is time for ask the CLO Chief Love Officer
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: Steve Harvey in the building. This one is from Sandy
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: and Queen's. Sandy writes, I'm in my late forties and
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: I have two small dogs that are my fur babies.
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: I've been dating a new guy for almost two months
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: and he still hasn't warmed up to my dogs. They
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: can't tell that he doesn't like them, so they steer
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: clear of him. On Saturday, he and I relaxed by
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: my pool and then went upstairs to take a nap.
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: When I woke up, he was asleep next to me
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: on the couch and my dogs were on my third
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: floor balcony alone. That was very unsafe to leave them
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: like that. Is it a deal breaker if he's unkind
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: to my dogs? For me, it ain't. But you know,
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: obviously you haven't. Someday I'm troubles with it. But let
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: me clear you up on a couple of things. You
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: said that the dogs can't tell if he likes them
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: or not, so they still clear him. Oh they know,
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: and that's why the ass was up there on that balcony.
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: They was discussing suicide. I'm heading you're right now, this
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: dude and livery day something. Why would it be a
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: deal breaker? The man is not a dog person. I'm
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: not a dog person, but we have a dog. Marjorie
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: loves dogs, so we have a dog, and so I'm
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: not I'm not a dog person. You know, I treat
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: back cool. He seen me coming, he come up to
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: me because you know I'm giving a rub and all
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: this hell. But like, why don't want you going nowhere
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: with me? You don't. You don't walkom dog, You don't
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: walcome walk him for that? No anybody walked up over
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: open Yeah, you know we got in visifest where he
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: can't go past certain boundaries and so he happy. He
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: out there free, don't nobody walking. But he's well trained.
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: But I'm not a dog person. But Margie, not fin
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: to break up with me because I can't cozy up
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: to some fair babies. Now, you in your late forties
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: by yourself as it is, the reason you were able
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: to meet him in have a Knife time was cause
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: you were single. Part of the reason why you single
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: is I don't know why you single. But everybody ain't
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: got to like your damn dogs. Now, you can call
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: him fair babies if you want to, but them as
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: damned dogs, that's what they are. They're not human beings.
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: And if you watch dogs, but he will tell you
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: the biggest problem with most dogs is people don't treat
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: them like dogs. M hmm. Now that's the professional due
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: he in a lawsuits. Oh yeah, he's in a lot
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: of trouble because his dog, Queen, his dog, and they
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: try to cover it up, cover it up and say
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: it that her dog got hit by our car. Coming up.
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: It is our last break of the day, and of
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: course at forty nine minutes after the hour, Steve will
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: have some closing remarks right after this. You're listening to show.
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: All right, guys, here we are our last break of
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: the day on this Monday, Um, Steve, before you hit
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: your closing remarks, can we remind our people in California
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: that tomorrow is a big, big day. Tomorrow. Everybody listen
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: to me. You have to vote. We all awake now.
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: And the Republican Party the other side of it. There's
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: nothing wrong with being a Republican, but when you on
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: the other side and you're trying to make them annoy
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: they control the majority, then there's a problem. California has
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: always been a blue state. We have no intentions of
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: turning it read this year or no time soon. You
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: have the numbers out there to make this election go in.
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: Governor Gavin's favorite Governor Gavin Newsom, This Larry Elder idiot
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: that's running that doesn't understand the plight of people who
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: has completely turned himself inside out to be to fit
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: in with a group that only using him. Get out
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: and vote vote for Gavin Newsom's This recall is completely
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: conjectured and just trumped up mess so they can try
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: to get get a hand in this Senate. Don't let
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: this happen. Get out and vote. Your vote counts. We've
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: proved that this last election. So thank you for showing
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: up at the polls and go and vote for Governor
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: Gavin Newsom. Thank you period. My closing remarks is kind
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: of something that I was thinking about while I was
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: on vacation. I want to remind everybody not to slip
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: towards the end of the year. Don't slip every year.
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: I don't know if you noticed this, but I've been
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: guilty of this myself, and I was thinking about it
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: on vacation. I'm not gonna let it happen to me
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: this year, and I wanted to share something that I
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: was thinking about that happens to me every single year,
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: and I wanted to just share with you. I decided
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: that in the fourth quarter of this year, starting from
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: September October through the rest of the year that I'm
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: not gonna do my normal pattern of behavior anymore because
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: it only leads to at the end of the year,
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: and I got to start over again. And I'm gonna
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: tell you what I mean by that. When we get
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: into the fourth quarter, we have two of the biggest
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: holidays in front of us, Thanksgiving and Christmas, and this
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: end of the year causes us to have to make
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: the same New Year's resolutions every year. Let's start with
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: what I'm talking about. Because of Thanksgiving and because of Christmas,
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: every year we have to make the same resolutions. His
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: resolutions Number one, I am going to complete all my
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: task this year. This is a New Year's resolution we
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: always make. You know why, because at the end of
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: the year, every year we stop fulfilling our dreams. We
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: stopped going towards our vision board because we stop. We
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: participate in corporate office parties, we participated in the family gatherings,
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: we participated in the Christmas spending. And this goes on
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: from October all the way through New Year's Eve. And
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: so I've noticed, man, that I taper off in my
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: hustle towards the end of the year because I'm participating
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: in the two big holidays, which makes me have to
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: come up with this new Year's resolution every year that
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: I'm gonna complete all my tasks. Then the next resolution
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: that I have to make every year is I'm gonna
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: get my finances together. We're gonna save money this year. Well,
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: you know why we gotta get our finances together and
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: save money because at the end of the year we
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: blew our budget on Christmas and Thanksgiving. We do it
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: all the time. All of us are guilty of this.
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: We blow our budgets every year. Every year. We say
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: we're not gonna do this for Christmas, and we end
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: up doing it. We're not gonna go here, we end
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: up going We're not gonna buy all this stuff. We
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: end up doing it the grandkids, the kids that your family,
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: and you end up messing up your finances every year.
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: So every year you gotta make that resolution, I'm gonna
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: save more money this year, I'm gonna start a savings
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: I'm gonna get myself together financially. It's because we got
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: to be conscious of the end of the year. And
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: now here's the third and big resolution that we always
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: make at the beginning of the year. I'm gonna get
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: in shape and lose this weight. And you know why
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: we got to make that resolution everybody because of the
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: end of the year Thanksgiving in Christmas. We participated in
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: all the trimmings of Thanksgiving in Christmas, and every year,
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: no matter how well we've been doing for three quarters,
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: that last quarter of the year, we dedicate ourselves to
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: stuffing ourselves so we look like the turkey that's on
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: the table, and we commit ourselves to add this what
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: holidays is about. I'm gonna eat because it's the holidays,
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: and you gotta get it together at the beginning of
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: the year. So the beginning of the year, we end
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: up starting over because we taper off at the end
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: of the year. So this year, I've committed myself not
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: to taper off. This year. I'm gonna stay on it.
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: I'm gonna keep on my workout, prayer. I'm gonna stay
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: on a little eating program. Now. Am I gonna enjoy
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: myself on Thanksgiving Day? Yeah? But that's a cheap dad,
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: don't hurt you. But you ain't got to eat the
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: whole damn weekend, and then you ain't got to eat
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: all the way up through the Christmas party. Then you
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: gotta eat. Now you off for two weeks doing Christmas,
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: and you eat all the Christmas break and you're sitting
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: round and you ain't doing nothing, and now you gotta
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: lose weight, and we start over and we end up
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: being looking like a hamster on a treadmill. So this year, everybody,
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: watch the last quarter of this year, get a little
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: bit more dedicated to your vision board, pay a little
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: bit of attention to the progress that you've made over
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: the previous three weeks, and don't let this last quarter
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: put you in that trick bag with your finances. And
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: you wait like it do every year, and then we
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: start at the beginning of the year. Those are my
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: clothes and remarks. I hope it makes sense to you,
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: but if it don't, I see your fat behind in
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: the jam and jam. Thank you for all Steve Harvey contests.
