- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all sit looking back to back down, giving
- 0:13Speaker 1: them like theming bus things, and it's not good. Steve
- 0:22Speaker 1: ha to mother, don't join me. You gotta turn, you
- 1:24Speaker 1: gotta turn to turn them out. Got to turn them out,
- 1:45Speaker 1: to turn the water the water. Come come on your back,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I sure will. I get minded. Everybody you're listening to
- 2:06Speaker 1: the voice, Come on, dave me now, one and only,
- 2:09Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, I got a radio show. Somebody sent me
- 2:14Speaker 1: an email one day that, you know, kind of a
- 2:17Speaker 1: nasty little email, you know, I think I said it
- 2:20Speaker 1: wants to before Steve Harvey trying to be a preacher. Man,
- 2:23Speaker 1: I'm so far from being a preacher. Man, I can't
- 2:25Speaker 1: even tell you. But what I am trying to do
- 2:29Speaker 1: is share information. Now. I understand how haters work, and
- 2:32Speaker 1: I understand how the devil works. Believe me, I do
- 2:37Speaker 1: you know? Sometimes even heat, the devil surprises me at
- 2:43Speaker 1: the level and the angles of attack they use, you know, which,
- 2:48Speaker 1: I go, wow, man, I didn't I didn't see that one.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Oh that was pretty slick. I gotta get credit on that.
- 2:53Speaker 1: We try to get me but every time you try
- 2:55Speaker 1: to get me, I get saved. I get saved every
- 2:59Speaker 1: time time, man, because because God got me, God got
- 3:05Speaker 1: some angels camped around me. That's what my mom used
- 3:09Speaker 1: to always say as Sunday school teacher. Never really understood it,
- 3:11Speaker 1: but you know when I was growing up as a kid,
- 3:14Speaker 1: but I got it. Now. He got some angels around me.
- 3:17Speaker 1: And angels come into form sometimes of people, people who
- 3:21Speaker 1: pull your coat to this, or introduce you to that,
- 3:24Speaker 1: or reveal some information to you like this. He got
- 3:27Speaker 1: them all around me. So see, having a relationship with
- 3:32Speaker 1: God has been beneficial to me, y'all. It's not just
- 3:36Speaker 1: that what he gives to me, but what he protects
- 3:42Speaker 1: me from. And you know, some some people wonder, what
- 3:47Speaker 1: if you were God, why he letting people do that
- 3:49Speaker 1: to you? Now, that's not how it works. See. There's
- 3:52Speaker 1: two forces in this world, as good and as evil.
- 3:56Speaker 1: And if you succumb to good, that's what you become,
- 3:58Speaker 1: that's what you do. But everybody don't succumb to good.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Some people succumb to evil. Some people's mission is to hate,
- 4:05Speaker 1: to destroy, to tear down, and so that forces at
- 4:10Speaker 1: work in this world too. And when that force comes
- 4:12Speaker 1: up against me. What God never promised me that I
- 4:16Speaker 1: wouldn't see none of that, that I wouldn't see the attacks,
- 4:21Speaker 1: that I would not come under fire, that I would
- 4:23Speaker 1: not be falsely accused. He didn't say that. A matter
- 4:26Speaker 1: of fact, he for warned me that it would happen.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Or what he does give me in those moments are
- 4:33Speaker 1: moments of comfort in peace, knowing that He's with me,
- 4:36Speaker 1: and no, no matter what my enemy does to bring
- 4:39Speaker 1: me down, it ain't gonna work, it ain't gonna work.
- 4:42Speaker 1: So come if you want to fight, if you will,
- 4:46Speaker 1: I have a man that has been attacking me since
- 4:51Speaker 1: I owned the comedy club in Dallas. He has been
- 4:55Speaker 1: on a mission and that if I don't give him
- 5:00Speaker 1: five million dollars, he gonna do it. He didn't done everything, man,
- 5:04Speaker 1: he has done everything. Now he've messed around and got
- 5:08Speaker 1: itself now claiming in his letters physically ill and his
- 5:13Speaker 1: illnesses and what's befalling his family. He's blaming that on
- 5:18Speaker 1: me too. As Steve Harvey not stressed me out and
- 5:22Speaker 1: paid me this money he owed me, we were you
- 5:25Speaker 1: coming with this, he just has kept on it on,
- 5:28Speaker 1: it on, and you know what, he a messed around,
- 5:31Speaker 1: got itself sick. He'n messed around, man, got himself in
- 5:35Speaker 1: some situation. And can I tell you something. It's been
- 5:38Speaker 1: going on since nine teen, maybe ninety seven. He started
- 5:48Speaker 1: the attack when I first went on, No before that,
- 5:53Speaker 1: probably ninety five. He started the attacks in ninety five,
- 5:59Speaker 1: every nine in he didn't got six lawyers. All the
- 6:02Speaker 1: lawyers didn't drop the case. After they come in and
- 6:05Speaker 1: they discover the fact. But he steady trying. But it's
- 6:09Speaker 1: too angels that's around. And I forewarned him several times. Man,
- 6:14Speaker 1: and man, if I was you, I go head on
- 6:15Speaker 1: because what I'm not gonna do is being because see,
- 6:18Speaker 1: you cannot break me because I happened to be a
- 6:22Speaker 1: soldier for Christ. I happened to be an imperfect soldier
- 6:27Speaker 1: or Christ as nothing, Man as nothing. And oh it
- 6:32Speaker 1: ain't like a bunch of people and tried. Now, Oh
- 6:34Speaker 1: y'all been on YouTube, y'all been on the internet. Oh
- 6:38Speaker 1: they didn't try. Oh they didn't put some dirt on me. Man,
- 6:41Speaker 1: that ain't true. But if you keep looking at me though,
- 6:45Speaker 1: and I'm not the prize, but if you put your
- 6:47Speaker 1: eyes on God, it's where you go. But if you
- 6:49Speaker 1: look at me. He's covered me through it all. And
- 6:52Speaker 1: that's been the importance of the relationship I formed with God,
- 6:57Speaker 1: is that I know that I'm under his wings, that
- 7:00Speaker 1: I'm ever under his ever loving protection, that he got me.
- 7:05Speaker 1: And I just want to share that with you that
- 7:07Speaker 1: if you got If you're looking for some protection, if
- 7:12Speaker 1: you're looking for a way to have the strength to
- 7:14Speaker 1: get through what you're going through, get some god man.
- 7:18Speaker 1: If if you want to weigh out, get some god man.
- 7:22Speaker 1: If you've been gangbanging and you're sick of gangbanging, get
- 7:25Speaker 1: you some god man. If you're tired of being on
- 7:28Speaker 1: drugs and you're tied to drinking, get you some god man.
- 7:32Speaker 1: If you're tied to being if you're sick and tired
- 7:34Speaker 1: of being sick and tired, get you some god man.
- 7:38Speaker 1: I'm just telling you now. If you're trying to make
- 7:40Speaker 1: your dreams come true and it looks like you ain't
- 7:42Speaker 1: gonna make it, and you still believe that that's for you,
- 7:46Speaker 1: get you some god man. If you're setting a new
- 7:48Speaker 1: gold dream of aspiration and you're trying to get that
- 7:51Speaker 1: and you're gonna start out today, get you some god man.

- 8:19Speaker 1: don't doubt, and get ready to work your tail off.
- 8:24Speaker 1: God can't blessing you. See a lot of times we
- 8:27Speaker 1: go to God asking for prayers and stuff. But we
- 8:30Speaker 1: go to him and we don't give nothing. God nothing
- 8:33Speaker 1: to bless We won't blessings, but we don't give him
- 8:35Speaker 1: nothing to bless. You make one step, he'll make two.
- 8:41Speaker 1: You start, he'll finish you come, He'll go You dream it,
- 8:51Speaker 1: He'll build you started, He'll finish. See you see you
- 8:57Speaker 1: trying everything your way. I'm gonna go to court. Had
- 9:00Speaker 1: a conversation with a man yesterday, just sitting and just
- 9:03Speaker 1: call me man, and was just talking about but Steve.
- 9:06Speaker 1: You know, man, I've just dude, been on me twenty
- 9:10Speaker 1: three hundred dollars for four years. I just asked him,
- 9:15Speaker 1: have you survived the folk without the twenty three hundred Yeah, man,
- 9:20Speaker 1: how much you think you have spent trying to get
- 9:23Speaker 1: to twenty three hundred? Just a few hundred? Now, let
- 9:26Speaker 1: me ask you something. Do you have a few hundred
- 9:28Speaker 1: mold to try to get this twenty three hundred that
- 9:30Speaker 1: you've been trying to get for four years? Yeah? I
- 9:33Speaker 1: could do that, But do you want to? Man? Do
- 9:36Speaker 1: you have the time to dedicate faux more or your
- 9:40Speaker 1: years to try to get twenty three hundred? But Steve
- 9:42Speaker 1: am out of work right now. I'm fell on some
- 9:44Speaker 1: hard times. I could use that money, and I've been
- 9:46Speaker 1: praying to God to help me. Yeah, you've been praying
- 9:49Speaker 1: to God to help you. God probably got something way
- 9:51Speaker 1: greater for you. But you gotta let go of your
- 9:53Speaker 1: own thinking and let God have his way. You understand,
- 9:56Speaker 1: you feel me. You're st morning show ladies and gentlemen, man,
- 10:04Speaker 1: have your undivided attention please. This is the Steve Rvey
- 10:08Speaker 1: Morning Show. Normally, our normal routine is to uplift, inspire
- 10:15Speaker 1: and entertain. Due to the current events in our country,
- 10:24Speaker 1: we mostly providing old uplift and motivation. Uh. It's some
- 10:30Speaker 1: trying times, man, but I want us to get smart
- 10:34Speaker 1: about this and make the best of this time, because
- 10:38Speaker 1: this could be a turn in our country if we
- 10:42Speaker 1: play it the right way. This could be the pivotal moment.
- 10:46Speaker 1: This is the first time I have seen as many
- 10:51Speaker 1: non African Americans involved in a cause that is directly
- 10:56Speaker 1: related to African Americans. I've never seen this type of help,
- 11:05Speaker 1: should I say, And I think we gotta get to
- 11:09Speaker 1: take advantage of this while we can. This is Steve
- 11:12Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show, Good morning, shut trying times. Indeed, Steve,
- 11:16Speaker 1: good morning, Good morning right there, calla frel good morning.
- 11:22Speaker 1: What's up, Steve haycrew, what's up, Junior? I think myself
- 11:26Speaker 1: Happy morning, Uncle, morning, good good, good nephew, Tommy, Yay.
- 11:30Speaker 1: I'm here, baby black and proud right here. Yeah, Mississippi
- 11:35Speaker 1: Monica's somewhere, y'all. That's how Sister Old Dale used to
- 11:41Speaker 1: SIGND when she was young. Hey, y'all, and then it
- 11:46Speaker 1: just started Sister Old Dale deteriorated after that. Yeah. Um,
- 11:52Speaker 1: you know, listen, we're gonna get through this thing. We
- 11:55Speaker 1: really really are. We are going to get through it.
- 11:58Speaker 1: I know it sounds cliche, but the Bible is real, man,
- 12:03Speaker 1: This too shall pass. Um. I do the upside for
- 12:09Speaker 1: this for me is for the first time I've seen
- 12:14Speaker 1: a large number of non African Americans join in to
- 12:17Speaker 1: fight for a cause that's been against African Americans. And
- 12:23Speaker 1: I've seen it, you know, I saw a little bit
- 12:25Speaker 1: in the march on Washington at the Mall. I saw
- 12:29Speaker 1: whites join in then, but not to this magnitude. But
- 12:33Speaker 1: you know what, I'm curious though, what is this or
- 12:36Speaker 1: the Southern Evangelicals. I'm still trying to find out where
- 12:42Speaker 1: they at? Where right? Where are these Southern white evangelicals
- 12:51Speaker 1: Because it can't just be black ministers every time something
- 12:55Speaker 1: happened in the black community. Where is the Southern the
- 13:02Speaker 1: Christian Evangelicals, that organization that backs Donald Trump? Quiet, if
- 13:10Speaker 1: you are Christians, do you not see the very Unchristian
- 13:16Speaker 1: thing that is continuing to happen in our country? And
- 13:20Speaker 1: I am not seeing the masses of Southern white evangelicals
- 13:28Speaker 1: come to the aid of black people. And that's a
- 13:32Speaker 1: glaring omission to me. Coming up at thirty two minutes
- 13:35Speaker 1: after the hour, we're gonna switch gears a little bit here,
- 13:38Speaker 1: So get ready for ask the CLO the Chief Love Officer,

- 14:51Speaker 1: nineteen years of marriage, I'm having trouble adjusting to new women.

- 22:58Speaker 1: name is Darnielle on the okay first um so yeah, um,
- 23:04Speaker 1: first last month and uh so security number. I can
- 23:07Speaker 1: do a background chat. Okay, okay, Now let me ask
- 23:10Speaker 1: you this. You guys got out like a back backyard
- 23:13Speaker 1: area I teach classes in the mornings that I want
- 23:15Speaker 1: to know if you have that, that that's pretty much
- 23:18Speaker 1: what will kind of locked me in if you gotta.
- 23:19Speaker 1: If you guys got a backyard that I can use.
- 23:22Speaker 1: We got a backyard. What do you teach? I teach yoga.
- 23:24Speaker 1: I teach yoga in the mornings from from six to eight.
- 23:27Speaker 1: Hopefully I won't be a problem. You're making make money
- 23:29Speaker 1: doing yoga, yes, sir, I definitely do. I make enough,
- 23:32Speaker 1: definitely to cover the red that's for sure. Dad shouldn't
- 23:35Speaker 1: be a problem. I know, I know a little bit
- 23:36Speaker 1: about yoga. That's that. I mean, really, if it's y'all,
- 23:38Speaker 1: you know, you're not making no noise as yoga, that's
- 23:40Speaker 1: that's not a problem. A good deal. Well, how quick
- 23:43Speaker 1: can I actually get moved in? Man? I'm trying to
- 23:45Speaker 1: get something. I just moved in from the from the
- 23:47Speaker 1: East Coast. I jumped on my yoga pretty quick and
- 23:49Speaker 1: it got a quite a bit of clientele built up,
- 23:52Speaker 1: and you know, I'm just just ready to get started,
- 23:55Speaker 1: get moved in man, something that I can actually call home,
- 23:57Speaker 1: you know. Uh yeah, well you know we're looking at
- 23:59Speaker 1: rent rent it out pretty quick, you know, because we
- 24:02Speaker 1: want to try and get it filled as soon as possible.
- 24:03Speaker 1: Because if you said we are you are you you
- 24:06Speaker 1: got a roommate, you're you're it would be me and
- 24:10Speaker 1: my wife, and uh, it's a three bedroom home. You
- 24:13Speaker 1: would have the room in the back with the bathroom
- 24:15Speaker 1: and uh yeah, like a fifty to do a credit check,
- 24:18Speaker 1: you know, we meet, Um, I can do the background
- 24:20Speaker 1: check and uh no, no, what what what? What? What? What? What?
- 24:24Speaker 1: What do you necessarily need to do that for? Well,
- 24:27Speaker 1: you gotta know who you're into, and then you want
- 24:28Speaker 1: to know what the credit they got, so if they
- 24:30Speaker 1: can afford the rent or not. You know, I got
- 24:32Speaker 1: I got real good credit, man, My credit is fine.
- 24:34Speaker 1: I'm I'm actually eight hundreds on my credit scores. Oh damn.
- 24:37Speaker 1: All right when you get here is how you feel
- 24:40Speaker 1: out of application. But you know, if you if you're
- 24:42Speaker 1: ready to get it cracking, I can do. I can
- 24:43Speaker 1: do a background check, and you right not to give
- 24:45Speaker 1: me a SOB security number. Okay, but let me let
- 24:48Speaker 1: me go ahead and just do this. Man on that
- 24:49Speaker 1: background check, because you know that what I want to
- 24:51Speaker 1: say about that is this, it might be something on
- 24:54Speaker 1: there about like when I was on the East Coast.
- 24:57Speaker 1: You know, I was actually teaching uh, naked yoga, you
- 25:00Speaker 1: know what I mean, naked yoga. Uh you know, you
- 25:02Speaker 1: may see something on there about me being a nip
- 25:06Speaker 1: naked yoga. Yo. See that's what that's the kind of
- 25:08Speaker 1: yoga I was teaching on the East Coast was naked yoga.
- 25:10Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. And everybody with my tea
- 25:12Speaker 1: naga yoga here. What see, it's in the backyard. It's
- 25:15Speaker 1: closed in you know, in my backyard. And you what
- 25:18Speaker 1: what what other glitz you got? You said, there's some glitches, Michael,
- 25:20Speaker 1: What is the glitz you got? Well you might see
- 25:22Speaker 1: that I'm a nimpfo mania. But see but see I
- 25:25Speaker 1: took some I took commend for what I took counseling
- 25:28Speaker 1: for that. Though, what do you need to take some
- 25:30Speaker 1: counseling over somewhere else? You ain't taking no counseling and
- 25:33Speaker 1: doing no naked yoga in my backyard. No, man, All
- 25:36Speaker 1: that's behind me. Now, that's on the East coast. Man,
- 25:38Speaker 1: that that's that's all behind me. Now I didn't put
- 25:41Speaker 1: that thing down. Man, I don't care if it's behind
- 25:42Speaker 1: you in front of you on the side. You're doing
- 25:44Speaker 1: some naked yoga in my backyard. That isn't happening, man
- 25:47Speaker 1: a matter of fact. Man, hey man, listen, got all
- 25:49Speaker 1: your lichens that qualified and move in there and now
- 25:52Speaker 1: you're gonna sit here and tell me. I can't tell
- 25:54Speaker 1: about doing some naked yoga in my backyard with no
- 25:56Speaker 1: twenty thirty people. Then my wife's being on man, you
- 26:00Speaker 1: look well your wife good man, Just scratch that one
- 26:06Speaker 1: off your list and just move on to the next one,
- 26:08Speaker 1: because they ain't. No neked yoga is going down back
- 26:10Speaker 1: here with no niff a maniac. I don't know what
- 26:12Speaker 1: else y'all might be doing. I don't know what. I
- 26:14Speaker 1: don't know who does next, we all it's just it's
- 26:17Speaker 1: just it's just a serene moment, man, where you find yourself.
- 26:21Speaker 1: That's all this really is about. Were you better find
- 26:23Speaker 1: yourself somewhere else. That's what I know. You ain't doing
- 26:26Speaker 1: no naked yoga in my backyard. I'm surprised you even
- 26:28Speaker 1: calls somebody with that. Man, I'm gonna come over that
- 26:31Speaker 1: to this address and start looking at this place because
- 26:34Speaker 1: I want to set up shop right here in my backyard.
- 26:37Speaker 1: I don't even know you talking about you got some
- 26:39Speaker 1: lynches in your past, You're gonna have a foot in
- 26:41Speaker 1: your How do you know that this isn't something that
- 26:42Speaker 1: your wife might really want to get into with? My
- 26:45Speaker 1: wife I don't even missing my wife's name. Man, he
- 26:47Speaker 1: don't know me, don't know even know my wife. Take
- 26:49Speaker 1: my off your listen. You come out there, you're gonna
- 26:50Speaker 1: have another glitch. I'm coming to know where you stamp room,
- 26:54Speaker 1: and you're gonna show it to me. Thanks showing you.
- 26:57Speaker 1: You come come out of here. I'm gonna show you
- 26:58Speaker 1: something else, my fact that I am. I damn a
- 27:01Speaker 1: recover them for maniac. I'm recovered, have a covered nim
- 27:05Speaker 1: for many. You're about to get your blind maniac. I'm
- 27:08Speaker 1: the maniac. Please believe darnw We're gonna come over that
- 27:11Speaker 1: right now over here, when that come over that now, man,
- 27:14Speaker 1: so we can say the fence, I ain't having that.
- 27:17Speaker 1: Do not man, Can you come over that? Please? Can
- 27:20Speaker 1: just matter? Like man, look this. You can do whatever
- 27:22Speaker 1: you want somewhere else, but this right here, this ain't
- 27:25Speaker 1: the place for you. I'm gonna take you that right now,
- 27:27Speaker 1: darn now to your wife. Man, your wife, whatever fire
- 27:30Speaker 1: you don't want to talk about, this ain't the place
- 27:32Speaker 1: for you. Go SOMEWHEREL take that to your wife. Please
- 27:36Speaker 1: let me talk to your wife. Do not even trim me,
- 27:38Speaker 1: darn noewt me talk to your man. I'm not name
- 27:40Speaker 1: that kind of dude. Remember, you're about to bring this
- 27:43Speaker 1: out of me. Do not bring this over here, darnel.
- 27:46Speaker 1: So so as far as your wife, man, let me
- 27:48Speaker 1: your wife, This right here is over for real. You're
- 27:51Speaker 1: gonna come out here and catch your case. Okay. Can
- 27:53Speaker 1: I can I say one more thing to you? Man?
- 27:54Speaker 1: You can't say darknew because this this conversation is over. Man, Okay,
- 27:58Speaker 1: how about that? Hey? Man? Can I say one more thing? Man?
- 28:00Speaker 1: What you got to say, man, is what this is
- 28:03Speaker 1: nephew Tommy from the Steve Harby Morning to show you
- 28:06Speaker 1: just got pranked by your brother. Oh, keep the out
- 28:13Speaker 1: of here, man, This is nephew Tommy. Who who told
- 28:17Speaker 1: you to do this to me? Man? Your brother, my brother?
- 28:20Speaker 1: Oh I'm a goodness, Oh my god, man, my heart
- 28:24Speaker 1: is all beating off fast man. Oh, get out of here.
- 28:28Speaker 1: Man to man, Oh all right, man, Man, I was
- 28:34Speaker 1: gonna whoop your butt naked if you came around here. Man,
- 28:37Speaker 1: you just don't know. Man, I'm so glad it's a joke.
- 28:42Speaker 1: You have no idea. I'm so glad it's a joke. Man.
- 28:46Speaker 1: All right, thank you King of pranks, Sir all right.
- 28:51Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour is some
- 28:53Speaker 1: entertainment news and some national news from miss Inn. Right
- 28:57Speaker 1: after this, you're listening Steve Harby Morning Show. George Floyd's
- 29:03Speaker 1: family has one request in the wake of his death.
- 29:06Speaker 1: According to Tyler Perry, who reached out to offer words
- 29:10Speaker 1: of comfort to the family, they are adamant and all
- 29:14Speaker 1: they're asking their calling for a peaceful protest. Meanwhile, Tyler
- 29:20Speaker 1: also outlined what he's been doing during the protests. He said,
- 29:24Speaker 1: I've spent the past few days having very high level
- 29:27Speaker 1: conversations with people who don't look like me, people who
- 29:30Speaker 1: may not believe what I believe, people who don't know
- 29:34Speaker 1: what it's like to be black in America. But we're
- 29:37Speaker 1: willing to listen, Tyler shared in an IG post. Tyler
- 29:41Speaker 1: went on to say that Oprah Winfrey, Jay Z have
- 29:43Speaker 1: been doing the same thing. It takes all of us
- 29:46Speaker 1: black people to do our part. He added, think about this, please,
- 29:51Speaker 1: We're only twelve to fourteen percent of the US population.
- 29:55Speaker 1: With a number like that, we need allies that don't
- 29:58Speaker 1: look like us. Hello. Hello, It's a true statement. Man.
- 30:05Speaker 1: We cannot turn this around without without help, we cannot
- 30:12Speaker 1: I would love to be able to do it, because
- 30:14Speaker 1: if we could have done it ourselves, we would have
- 30:16Speaker 1: been accomplished this. We're very smart, we're very powerful, we're
- 30:21Speaker 1: very unified in wanting this to be over. But we
- 30:25Speaker 1: need some allies on this one right here. And people
- 30:27Speaker 1: who have been around for a little bit while they
- 30:30Speaker 1: understand that. And that's not a knock on people who haven't,
- 30:32Speaker 1: because young people, I am telling you, Uncle Steve is
- 30:36Speaker 1: proud of the ones that's out there protested because protesting
- 30:40Speaker 1: is valid. It's valid man, and when and sometimes man,
- 30:45Speaker 1: when they're not listen, you gotta get their attention, and
- 30:48Speaker 1: protest is the way to do it. But we cannot
- 30:51Speaker 1: allow it to turn into criminal acts because you don't
- 30:56Speaker 1: come out of darkness with more dark. You can only
- 31:00Speaker 1: come out of darkness with light, even if it's a
- 31:02Speaker 1: little bit of light. If you're the pitch black room,
- 31:05Speaker 1: and and you're the pitch black tunnel and one person
- 31:08Speaker 1: strike a match, he the baddest boy in the room,
- 31:14Speaker 1: because you any thicker of light end's total darkness. And
- 31:21Speaker 1: so we gotta be smart and so we don't hustle backwards,
- 31:25Speaker 1: like Stephen Jackson said the other day, So I'm very
- 31:28Speaker 1: proud of the people out there protesting very much so, Steve,
- 31:33Speaker 1: very much so. And it's good that Tyler and Oprah
- 31:36Speaker 1: and jay Z jay Z called the mayor of Minnesota. Uh.
- 31:40Speaker 1: It's good that they're speaking to people and hopefully power. Yeah, yeah,
- 31:46Speaker 1: can do some change, can make. And you know, listen,
- 31:48Speaker 1: listen man uh for for African for Black celebrities who
- 31:53Speaker 1: have status and we know who they are. It's great
- 31:57Speaker 1: that they have, like Tyler said, these behind the scene meetings,
- 32:03Speaker 1: because that's how you can help bring about change. We
- 32:06Speaker 1: got the foot soldiers on the ground doing it. We
- 32:10Speaker 1: drop our bombs from the air. We have a section
- 32:14Speaker 1: of air waves and we drop out information from the air.
- 32:17Speaker 1: All of us. We take our celebrity, our fame, our platform,
- 32:21Speaker 1: and we drop our bombs from the air. We got
- 32:23Speaker 1: foot soldiers that's on the ground protesting. Yeah. Right, then
- 32:29Speaker 1: we got some generals that's having the high level meetings,
- 32:33Speaker 1: the ambassadors with the ambassadors of the of the other
- 32:38Speaker 1: team who can bring about change. And that's how we
- 32:42Speaker 1: get this thing accomplished. So I appreciate all the be up.
- 32:46Speaker 1: You gotta we gotta do it. I plead all the
- 32:48Speaker 1: all the back room discussions that's going on, and they
- 32:51Speaker 1: also have to vote and do our civic duty at
- 32:54Speaker 1: the pole. All of that for all a part of it.
- 32:58Speaker 1: Um All right, Steve, time now to go to miss
- 33:01Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, Miss Anne Trip, thank you very much, everybody.
- 33:05Speaker 1: Here's the news. Six Atlanta police officers have been arrested
- 33:08Speaker 1: after being seen on video dragging two college students out
- 33:11Speaker 1: of a car, breaking the window of the car by
- 33:14Speaker 1: the way first of all, throwing them down to the ground,
- 33:16Speaker 1: tasing the young man during protests over the weekend. We
- 33:19Speaker 1: are prayerful, hopeful that this will go to his full
- 33:23Speaker 1: conclusion and these officers will not only be arrested, indicted
- 33:29Speaker 1: and convicted because what they did to our children, they
- 33:33Speaker 1: have to be held accountable for. That's a spokesmen for
- 33:36Speaker 1: the DA's office. The County DA's office has charged them
- 33:38Speaker 1: with aggravated assault, one cup charger with aggravated battery. The
- 33:42Speaker 1: young man attends Morehouse College. The girls spellman. They say
- 33:45Speaker 1: they weren't even protesting. They were just trying to get
- 33:47Speaker 1: on the other side of the demonstrations in like of
- 33:50Speaker 1: the curfew with groceries. They just brought to try to
- 33:52Speaker 1: get back to campus. Authorities say they've been cracking down
- 33:55Speaker 1: on anybody violating Atlanta's curfew. Folks hit the streets of
- 33:58Speaker 1: Houston again yes day to protest the police killing of
- 34:01Speaker 1: George Floyd. You know he grew up there. Meanwhile, George
- 34:04Speaker 1: Floyd's family says that while it fully supports the civil
- 34:07Speaker 1: protests against the systematic use of excessive force by police
- 34:11Speaker 1: against black men and women, that it does reject the
- 34:13Speaker 1: violence inflicted on communities. Over the past several nights, crews
- 34:17Speaker 1: in Birmingham, Alabama, have begun taking down a Confederate monument
- 34:20Speaker 1: in the city park there. This particular structure has been
- 34:24Speaker 1: the subject of a legal dispute between the city and
- 34:27Speaker 1: state for several years. It's a fifty foot tall obelisk
- 34:30Speaker 1: that workers picked apart starting yesterday with a crane and
- 34:33Speaker 1: some other things. Nevertheless, its removal apparently violates a state law,
- 34:38Speaker 1: and Alabama State Attorney generalist promising to sue. We'll see
- 34:41Speaker 1: what happens there get this. The top diplomat of the
- 34:44Speaker 1: European Union says he is appalled at the killing of
- 34:48Speaker 1: George Floyd at the hands of white police officers in
- 34:51Speaker 1: this country calling an abusive power. We support good right
- 34:55Speaker 1: to peaceful protest and also we condemn violence and racism
- 35:01Speaker 1: of any kind. Howfu shoe up. We call for a
- 35:04Speaker 1: discrination of tensions. In fact, several European cities have held
- 35:08Speaker 1: anti racist protests in support of those of us. In
- 35:11Speaker 1: the United States, a number of the nation's top law
- 35:14Speaker 1: professors are speaking out against a series of actions taken
- 35:18Speaker 1: by President Trump. Dozens of Harvard Law Schools faculty have
- 35:22Speaker 1: signed an open letter condemning Trump's actions, labeling them as lawless.
- 35:25Speaker 1: The professors say that the president's words, tweets, and actions
- 35:28Speaker 1: quote endorsed violence and fails to meet even the minimum
- 35:32Speaker 1: standards of responsible behavior. And Joe Biden was a runaway
- 35:36Speaker 1: winner of all the Democratic primaries yesterday, making him the
- 35:38Speaker 1: choice of Democrats in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Indiana, Rhode Island, in Mexico, Montana,
- 35:43Speaker 1: South Dakota. He needs a nine nine delegates to win
- 35:46Speaker 1: the Party of the nomination on the first vote, but
- 35:49Speaker 1: primary contests in Georgia and West Virginia should put him
- 35:52Speaker 1: over the top. Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 35:55Speaker 1: You're listening to the Harvey Show. Former Vice President Joe
- 36:00Speaker 1: Biden made his first public address in weeks yesterday in Philadelphia,
- 36:04Speaker 1: and he had some harsh words for President Trump. Mister
- 36:07Speaker 1: Biden has expressed solidarity with peaceful protesters in the wake
- 36:10Speaker 1: of the death of George Floyd. Joe Biden criticized Trump's
- 36:14Speaker 1: handling of civil unrest following the death of George Floyd.
- 36:18Speaker 1: Take a listen. Country is crying out for leadership. Leadership
- 36:23Speaker 1: that can unite us, Leadership that brings us together, Leadership
- 36:27Speaker 1: that can recognize pain and deep grief of communities that
- 36:31Speaker 1: have had a knee on their neck for a long time.
- 36:34Speaker 1: M right, yeah, right, incidential listen. Yeah. I just think
- 36:42Speaker 1: if we can get to some debates, I think this
- 36:46Speaker 1: is the guy that can go toe to toe because
- 36:50Speaker 1: Trump is not intelligent. No, he just fights. Yeah. He's petty, Yeah,
- 36:58Speaker 1: he's real petty. He's he's he's tricky, and he's he's
- 37:02Speaker 1: got some moves, but they're the same. You know. He
- 37:05Speaker 1: gives you a nickname, yeah, and then and then he
- 37:09Speaker 1: comes up with a catchy title for what he's doing.
- 37:13Speaker 1: But that's really it. He don't know policy, he don't
- 37:17Speaker 1: really he really brushed up on for one of fans.
- 37:19Speaker 1: None of that. You you bring up a couple of
- 37:22Speaker 1: countries and he might not even know where to act.
- 37:26Speaker 1: He's just gonna know about China. And you know what, man,
- 37:29Speaker 1: the way he's seeing China, you know, And that's why
- 37:33Speaker 1: I go with China. You know. He always try to
- 37:37Speaker 1: be funny. We don't need him are funny ass president?
- 37:40Speaker 1: Now this is serious, Yeah, mister. Biden also noticed that
- 37:45Speaker 1: Trump held up a Bible during his controversial photo op
- 37:48Speaker 1: visit to Saint John's Episcopal Church in Washington, d C.
- 37:53Speaker 1: Biden said, I just wished he'd opened it once in
- 37:55Speaker 1: a while. If he opened it, he could have learned something.
- 37:58Speaker 1: Come on, yeh, I need this dude from up in
- 38:05Speaker 1: the Northeast and know how to fight back. Got a
- 38:08Speaker 1: little bit of that Boston thing working Delaware at all
- 38:12Speaker 1: that all them dudes up there, man, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 38:16Speaker 1: So that's the kind of thing we think it's gonna be, right, Steve, Yeah,
- 38:21Speaker 1: it's got to be a I'm telling you, listen to me.
- 38:23Speaker 1: It's when these debates open up, You're going to see
- 38:27Speaker 1: some gunslinging going on. Because Joe Biden ain't know old
- 38:32Speaker 1: punk ass dude and now and all this bullying that
- 38:35Speaker 1: Trump was allowed to do during the Republican campaign when
- 38:39Speaker 1: he got rid of all fifteen of them candidates by
- 38:43Speaker 1: just dogging them. And this ain't high school. See you
- 38:47Speaker 1: see you a little sleepy Joe thing fit to wear out,
- 38:50Speaker 1: you know, because he gonna he gonna lace you with
- 38:52Speaker 1: what you ain't done. Yeah. Yeah, And he gets a
- 38:58Speaker 1: former vice president, so he has experience, So yeah in politics.
- 39:04Speaker 1: All right, coming up next at thirty four minutes after
- 39:06Speaker 1: the hour, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 39:08Speaker 1: Show right after this. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 39:13Speaker 1: Yesterday in Houston, more than sixty thousand people marched in
- 39:16Speaker 1: downtown Houston with the Floyd family in memory of George Floyd.
- 39:21Speaker 1: City leaders, local rappers, and pastor Joel Oldstein were all
- 39:24Speaker 1: in attendant. Meanwhile, during an emotional press conference, the mother
- 39:28Speaker 1: of George Floyd's daughter remembered him. Her name is Roxy Washington.
- 39:33Speaker 1: She remembered him as a good man, and she also
- 39:36Speaker 1: pointed out the fact that their daughter will not grow
- 39:39Speaker 1: up will now grow up without a father. Take a listen,
- 39:42Speaker 1: this is what those ups. At the end of the day,
- 39:52Speaker 1: they get to go home and be with their families.
- 39:57Speaker 1: Anna does not have a faul. He would ever see
- 40:02Speaker 1: grow up graduate. He will never walk down the eye.
- 40:08Speaker 1: If it's a problem she's having and she needs her dad,
- 40:12Speaker 1: she does not have that anymore. I'm here for my baby,
- 40:18Speaker 1: and I'm here for George because I want justice for him.
- 40:25Speaker 1: I want justice for him because he was good, no
- 40:29Speaker 1: matter what anybody thinks, he was good. And this is
- 40:33Speaker 1: the proof that he was a good man. Wow o,
- 40:39Speaker 1: lord proof. She pointed to the baby, little Gianna, six
- 40:43Speaker 1: years old. Beautiful baby, Beau, beautiful baby, just a beautiful
- 40:47Speaker 1: little girl. Seat man, you know this this one. Um,
- 40:52Speaker 1: It's been so many of these since I've been alive.
- 40:56Speaker 1: It's been so many George Floyd's. It's been I can't
- 41:00Speaker 1: count them that never made the news that I that
- 41:05Speaker 1: I knew of, right, that I knew of heard of.
- 41:10Speaker 1: My father told me about him, My brothers told me
- 41:13Speaker 1: about him. It happened to some cousins, it happens in
- 41:17Speaker 1: all of my relative city. Finally, in twenty twenty, I
- 41:25Speaker 1: can say, for the first time, I think something is
- 41:30Speaker 1: going to happen because of this one. This is the
- 41:34Speaker 1: first time I can say, I've never felt like day
- 41:37Speaker 1: was gonna do nothing before, even though I thought once
- 41:40Speaker 1: social media came out and you could see some of
- 41:43Speaker 1: these things that we knew was existing, or we saw
- 41:46Speaker 1: and there was no way to film it, we saw it.
- 41:52Speaker 1: We just I knew after social media once you could
- 41:55Speaker 1: see this, oh god, here it comes. And then to
- 41:58Speaker 1: my surprise, nothing happened anyway. And so I became hardened
- 42:04Speaker 1: by it and sickened by it. And this time it's
- 42:10Speaker 1: like how long it took for them to release the
- 42:13Speaker 1: Aubrey tape. This kid got shot in February, right, we
- 42:18Speaker 1: didn't see the tape tool when WHOA So they were
- 42:25Speaker 1: concealing this to work their little story out. Hold up,
- 42:28Speaker 1: that started backfired, That started getting a little ire, and
- 42:32Speaker 1: then the nine minutes on his brother's neck when because
- 42:38Speaker 1: finally they just said, and man, this dude was so
- 42:42Speaker 1: comfortable he put his hands in his pocket, so right there,
- 42:47Speaker 1: you can't say you felt threatened or he was resisting
- 42:51Speaker 1: anybody resisting you need your hands out, so any and
- 42:55Speaker 1: even after he lost consciousness and stopped pleading for his life,
- 43:01Speaker 1: he stayed there again. So now the struggle to breathe,
- 43:05Speaker 1: which was keeping him alive for five minutes to seven minutes.
- 43:12Speaker 1: When the struggle to breathe stopped. Now your knee on
- 43:17Speaker 1: his neck is just you didn't kill this man. You
- 43:21Speaker 1: kill him in front of everybody, and we saw, we
- 43:25Speaker 1: watched you kill him. Not your bullet this what No,
- 43:29Speaker 1: you can say he had a gun. No, you kill
- 43:34Speaker 1: this man and heard him pleading for his life, and
- 43:40Speaker 1: you killed him anyway, even pissed a lot of people off.
- 43:44Speaker 1: See this, white dude, You pissed a lot of people off.
- 43:48Speaker 1: This is gonna be the turn right here. And if
- 43:50Speaker 1: it's not the turn that I think it should be,
- 43:54Speaker 1: as it's gonna be another kind of problem. All right, Steve,
- 43:57Speaker 1: thank you. Next Citi is enough few switching gears with
- 44:01Speaker 1: a prank phone call for today. Right after this, you're
- 44:04Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at the
- 44:08Speaker 1: top of the hour. Right about four minutes after. It's
- 44:10Speaker 1: my strawberry letter for today, subject I've fallen in love
- 44:14Speaker 1: with her boyfriend. I've fallen in love with her boyfriend. Uh.
- 44:21Speaker 1: Right now, the nephew in the building with today's prank
- 44:24Speaker 1: phone call make us laugh. Nephew, what do you have
- 44:27Speaker 1: for us? Let me go on, put on my stupid
- 44:29Speaker 1: head right quick. Let me go on, get stupid for
- 44:31Speaker 1: you make a wish ministry. Let me hear that sounds nice?
- 44:39Speaker 1: It sounds good, don't Yeah, it always does. Yeah, sounds simple.
- 44:43Speaker 1: So you best got you better not playing you watch?
- 44:52Speaker 1: Come on, kat, let's go baptist. This is Terrence. May
- 44:56Speaker 1: I help you? Please? Ter Yeah? How you doing? I
- 45:00Speaker 1: got your your number? You went over the church, You
- 45:04Speaker 1: went to make a witch ministry? Yes, I am, I'm
- 45:06Speaker 1: gonna help him. Well, listen, I'm I'm I'm actually uh,
- 45:11Speaker 1: I'm I'm terminally ill. Brother's brother Terence. And I don't
- 45:17Speaker 1: you know as far as what the doctors tell me,
- 45:19Speaker 1: it could be six months, another year, but I know
- 45:25Speaker 1: my time here is definitely limited. You know. Well, I'm
- 45:28Speaker 1: sorry to hear that, but we're definitely here to help
- 45:31Speaker 1: you out with whatever you need or whatever we can
- 45:34Speaker 1: help you with. So what can we do for you? Well?
- 45:37Speaker 1: You know, I truly believe that sometimes people have and
- 45:41Speaker 1: you know, I've seen one of the old movies they
- 45:43Speaker 1: got with it, got a bucket list or whatever they
- 45:45Speaker 1: called it. You know, people trying to do things before
- 45:48Speaker 1: they leave here. I guess I'm just sitting around trying
- 45:51Speaker 1: to figure out what I could do and what I
- 45:52Speaker 1: wanted to do before I left this world and went
- 45:56Speaker 1: on to what he has for me. Nixt. You know,
- 45:59Speaker 1: I don't believe in doing anything unless it's prayed on first.
- 46:04Speaker 1: Oh yeah, if you don't mind, maybe you can. You know,
- 46:08Speaker 1: before I can tell you my wish, we prayed that
- 46:10Speaker 1: the wish would come true. You you you're not doing
- 46:13Speaker 1: anything like that. Oh no, I don't mind praying. That's
- 46:16Speaker 1: what we're here for. Now your head with him, yes, yr, sir,
- 46:21Speaker 1: is your head by you, sir, your sir. Here the
- 46:24Speaker 1: God we come to you in the armless way. We
- 46:27Speaker 1: know how Lord, we ask you to touch this young
- 46:30Speaker 1: man and every which way he heard, and then we
- 46:33Speaker 1: ask you to deliver him for whatever is going on
- 46:36Speaker 1: with him and let him know that we the church
- 46:39Speaker 1: is here to help him with whatever his needs is
- 46:42Speaker 1: in his last days. And Jesus's name, I pray say
- 46:46Speaker 1: Amen with him. It's gonna do it here. Now you
- 46:52Speaker 1: a member of the church. Here, I'm new, well, I
- 46:55Speaker 1: was a number. I still consider myself. Remember, it's just
- 46:58Speaker 1: been quite time, probably over the year and a half
- 47:01Speaker 1: two years. As I've been able to come, you know,
- 47:03Speaker 1: through to my my illness, but definitely I will remember that. Well,
- 47:09Speaker 1: that's all right. We're not worried about all that. We
- 47:11Speaker 1: just here to take care of your last and final wish.
- 47:15Speaker 1: That's what our minister is for. You know. We helps
- 47:18Speaker 1: people with with with anything they need, you know, like that.
- 47:22Speaker 1: What what all I mean when when people call them
- 47:24Speaker 1: won't say what all of you you are? What all
- 47:27Speaker 1: of y'all helped them with? Well, we've helped them with
- 47:30Speaker 1: their rent, uh, take them to the store, help them
- 47:35Speaker 1: with a utility bill, come out and cut the grass,
- 47:38Speaker 1: anything like that they just can't do. Take them to
- 47:41Speaker 1: the doctor's appointment. Anything we'd like to help them with,
- 47:44Speaker 1: we do exactly. Then okay, well I pretty much got
- 47:49Speaker 1: those things taken care of. I think what I'd like
- 47:52Speaker 1: to do between you and myself body. And I've never
- 47:56Speaker 1: told anyone what I'm about to tell you. I've never
- 48:01Speaker 1: been with a with with a woman too. I'm you know,
- 48:06Speaker 1: I'm thirty eight, but I've never been with a woman. Well,
- 48:11Speaker 1: I guess that might be a blessing. You might you
- 48:13Speaker 1: might be here. That's a good thing. Well, you know,
- 48:16Speaker 1: but sometimes you know I give before I leave. I
- 48:19Speaker 1: guess that's a desire that I have. And and and uh,
- 48:23Speaker 1: what I wanted to ask you was there is a
- 48:26Speaker 1: lady there at the church and before I leave, I
- 48:31Speaker 1: think that's the woman that I would actually like to
- 48:35Speaker 1: be with. Well, I don't know if make a wish
- 48:38Speaker 1: ministry can support that kind of stuff, but uh, go ahead,
- 48:42Speaker 1: let me hear. Okay, that the lady that I'm actually
- 48:45Speaker 1: interested in. Actually, uh, she works at the church too.
- 48:50Speaker 1: When I see she's donim a tall when she's about
- 48:53Speaker 1: five nine, and she's probably about a size eight, beautiful
- 48:58Speaker 1: long leagues man and and and sandy type of half
- 49:03Speaker 1: sandy color for Sandy brown man. And I mean she
- 49:06Speaker 1: looked like Caraman. Hold on a minute, what's her name?
- 49:12Speaker 1: I think her name Linda? Now hold on, that's my wife.
- 49:16Speaker 1: What you mean? Go ahead and see wait wait wait
- 49:18Speaker 1: wait wait wait wait Linda your wife? Yeah, that's my wife.
- 49:22Speaker 1: You Sorrence, what do you mean? Listen? Y'all are a
- 49:26Speaker 1: ministry now now, if y'all supposed to be taking care
- 49:29Speaker 1: of people, don't make a wish and and taking care
- 49:31Speaker 1: of what they want before they leave this world. If
- 49:34Speaker 1: that's my wish? What is the problem listening here? You
- 49:36Speaker 1: didn't cross every line there was about this man, so
- 49:40Speaker 1: I don't give a damn about it. I'm you're talking
- 49:42Speaker 1: about sleeping with my like if I see y'all gonna
- 49:45Speaker 1: do something to you, they ain't gonna even be able
- 49:47Speaker 1: to recognize you. So what the you talking about? Missing
- 49:50Speaker 1: with my wife? Son of am? Called miss Linda myself
- 49:53Speaker 1: and seeing you don't have a problem. Wasn't helping me
- 49:55Speaker 1: make my wish come true? God Head? And calling you
- 49:58Speaker 1: won't call no somebody else? That would be the last
- 50:02Speaker 1: called you make. I thought y'all were here to relieve
- 50:06Speaker 1: people so they can enjoy themselves before they leave this world.
- 50:10Speaker 1: You talk about sleeping with my wife? Are you crazy?
- 50:13Speaker 1: But but if I'm going to leave here, ain't nobody
- 50:16Speaker 1: gonna know? But you want hunt? I don't care if
- 50:18Speaker 1: you die. I don't care. You ain't sleeping with my
- 50:21Speaker 1: wife and your food with her. You probably gonna go
- 50:23Speaker 1: ahead and die quicker than you need to. I thought
- 50:26Speaker 1: this was a ministry. I don't tell you now you won't.
- 50:29Speaker 1: They're telling me about daring. Y'all supposed to be a
- 50:32Speaker 1: ministry to help people before they leave a word what
- 50:35Speaker 1: it is. But you talk about sleeping with my wife?
- 50:37Speaker 1: You got an illness, But something must be wrong with
- 50:39Speaker 1: your ain't talking about missing with man wife? Ain't nobody
- 50:42Speaker 1: don't even know? I think what your wife wants? Something
- 50:44Speaker 1: gonna there ain't gonna be but the tool y'all. At
- 50:46Speaker 1: least you would have helped me before I left. No,
- 50:49Speaker 1: I can't help you with nothing. And let me tell
- 50:51Speaker 1: you something. I'm not the preacher. I'm not the pastor,
- 50:53Speaker 1: I'm not the deacon, I'm not none of them. But
- 50:56Speaker 1: if you mentioned my wife, You're gonna know who I am.
- 50:58Speaker 1: I'm gonna be the undertake because did you understand? I
- 51:01Speaker 1: don't hear what you saying? But I got one more
- 51:03Speaker 1: thing I need to tell you about who I ain't
- 51:05Speaker 1: who asked you? Isn't it to go ahead? Let me in?
- 51:08Speaker 1: This is Nephew tugh me from the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 51:13Speaker 1: Your wife lima got me the phrase, no, y'all tell
- 51:17Speaker 1: me you roll. I ain't even recording. This is man's
- 51:26Speaker 1: recorded every last bit of hammer last ain't gonna hear
- 51:31Speaker 1: this is Oh god, I got one more thing. What
- 51:39Speaker 1: is the baddest? And I mean the Boo radio show

- 51:51Speaker 1: wanted them blanking it. I'm you must have what wo wait? Manute?
- 52:01Speaker 1: Just talk about my tap ta man standing? You gonna die?
- 52:12Speaker 1: What's her name? Was? Play so much? My wife? You
- 52:19Speaker 1: gonna die quicker than you leave? To die? Care if
- 52:26Speaker 1: you die? If you might leave here sooner than you
- 52:31Speaker 1: post man? Oh man? Stupid son of a Do you
- 52:39Speaker 1: think you're gonna call it sleeping? My wife? Stupid? But
- 52:45Speaker 1: but his but his proud, his proud was tom. I
- 52:49Speaker 1: was laughing through the plot. Yes he will, won't he
- 52:54Speaker 1: do it? Yes he will. He gonna do it for you,
- 52:58Speaker 1: Yes he is. He gonna do it for you. Bless
- 53:00Speaker 1: him in these last days. He gonna do it. Yes,

- 53:43Speaker 1: one right here, right now. Buckle up and hold on tight.
- 53:46Speaker 1: We got it for you here. It is the Strawberry Letter.
- 53:49Speaker 1: All right, thank you. Nephew's subject, I've fallen in love
- 53:52Speaker 1: with her boyfriend. Dear Stephen Shirley. I am a single
- 53:56Speaker 1: female and I moved to a new city three years
- 53:59Speaker 1: ago or a new job. I did not have any
- 54:02Speaker 1: family or friends in the city, but I instantly bonded
- 54:05Speaker 1: with a male coworker and we've become really close. He
- 54:10Speaker 1: was really great at helping me get settled and showing
- 54:13Speaker 1: me around town and everything. He has a girlfriend, though
- 54:16Speaker 1: of eight years, with a child, and I've always respected that.
- 54:21Speaker 1: We would get to flirty here and there, but it
- 54:24Speaker 1: was always harmless. At first, he'd complain about his girlfriend
- 54:28Speaker 1: and their constant arguments in their boring sex life. I
- 54:32Speaker 1: tried to ignore my feelings for him, but the more
- 54:35Speaker 1: he opened up to me, the more attractive he became.
- 54:39Speaker 1: The harmless flirting turned into a one night stand, and
- 54:43Speaker 1: that one night stand turned into two years of great
- 54:46Speaker 1: sex sometimes four times a week, and it's the best
- 54:49Speaker 1: sex we both had. We see each other at work,
- 54:53Speaker 1: after work, and on weekend getaways. I tried to end
- 54:56Speaker 1: things with them because I'm falling in love with him,
- 54:59Speaker 1: but I can't seem to stay away from him, and
- 55:01Speaker 1: he feels the same way. He said his family has
- 55:04Speaker 1: guilted him into staying with his girlfriend. But it's been
- 55:07Speaker 1: eight years, so it should be clear to her that
- 55:10Speaker 1: he does not want to marry her. I've never pressured
- 55:13Speaker 1: him to leave her because I'm the homewrecker at this
- 55:15Speaker 1: home wrecker at this point, but I'm growing more and
- 55:18Speaker 1: more jealous of their relationship. This is something that eats
- 55:22Speaker 1: at me and I'm finding it hard to let go
- 55:24Speaker 1: of him. How can I move on without this great
- 55:27Speaker 1: man and that I'm in love with? Should I give
- 55:31Speaker 1: him him an ultimatum and see if his heart is
- 55:34Speaker 1: really with me or with her? Could it be that
- 55:36Speaker 1: he's just bored at home? My heart is so confused? Well,
- 55:43Speaker 1: what are you confused about? I mean, what do you want?
- 55:47Speaker 1: This whole letter is about him and not enough about
- 55:50Speaker 1: you and what you want. I mean, this man is
- 55:53Speaker 1: not going anywhere. He's not going to leave you, and
- 55:57Speaker 1: why would he at this point, because he's got the
- 55:59Speaker 1: best both worlds. He's got her, he's had her for
- 56:02Speaker 1: eight years, and he's got you. He can do you
- 56:04Speaker 1: whenever he wants. You know, you guys are together at
- 56:07Speaker 1: work after work on we can getaways, he can get
- 56:10Speaker 1: it in. He's not gonna stop or he's not gonna
- 56:13Speaker 1: make a move until you do something. Okay, I don't
- 56:16Speaker 1: care what it is you ask about an ultimatum. I
- 56:18Speaker 1: don't care if you give him an ultimatum, look her
- 56:20Speaker 1: or me. I don't care if you make a speech
- 56:23Speaker 1: about it. Do that tweeted, put it on Instagram. Do
- 56:27Speaker 1: everything you have to do. I mean, who cares what
- 56:29Speaker 1: you do. You just gotta do something. You want change,
- 56:32Speaker 1: You gotta change it. You gotta be the one to
- 56:34Speaker 1: do it. Don't be so caught up with him and
- 56:36Speaker 1: the becks. What did you say the best sect you've
- 56:39Speaker 1: ever had? That you just continue to let him use
- 56:42Speaker 1: you because that's what he's doing. I mean, you look
- 56:44Speaker 1: up one day and it'll be you in it for
- 56:46Speaker 1: eight years. You've already put in two and nothing, so
- 56:50Speaker 1: all you have is six more to go, and you'll
- 56:52Speaker 1: be just like her, and please, please do not get
- 56:56Speaker 1: pregnant by this man. Please don't do that. So I
- 56:59Speaker 1: just gotta tell you, you got to decide what you want.
- 57:01Speaker 1: You gotta let him know, and if you don't get
- 57:03Speaker 1: what you want out of him, it's time to move on,
- 57:06Speaker 1: plain and simple, It's time to move on. Steve Well,
- 57:11Speaker 1: the key to this letter is I've fallen in love
- 57:14Speaker 1: with her boyfriend. Tell you're already, you're already behind the
- 57:22Speaker 1: eight ball. All right, here we go. You met this
- 57:30Speaker 1: guy who's out of town. All this, he's really great.
- 57:35Speaker 1: Help you settle in. Got a girlfriend eight years and
- 57:38Speaker 1: a child. I love when people say this. I've always
- 57:41Speaker 1: respected that. Right, really well, let me show you how
- 57:48Speaker 1: what happens to respect. Y'all. Will get flirted here and there,
- 57:52Speaker 1: but it's harmless. That ain't ever harmless little bit of flirting,
- 57:59Speaker 1: trust me, somebody trying to get something started, and according
- 58:04Speaker 1: to me, it looked like both y'all. Then he complained
- 58:07Speaker 1: about his girlfriend always arguing in their boring sex. Last
- 58:11Speaker 1: this sex so bored they'd have made a baby. What
- 58:17Speaker 1: is boring sex? Let's make a baby. Tried to ignore
- 58:21Speaker 1: my feelings for him, But the more he opened up
- 58:24Speaker 1: to me, the more attractive he became. Then she said
- 58:27Speaker 1: that the harmless flirting turned into a one night stand
- 58:33Speaker 1: that turned into two years of grace. Say okay, see
- 58:36Speaker 1: holder hook. See when people say a one night stand
- 58:40Speaker 1: turned into two good years of sex? At what point
- 58:44Speaker 1: was she even considering this just for one night? Right? Right? No,
- 58:51Speaker 1: the man had become more and more attractive to you.
- 58:55Speaker 1: That's why you had what you wanna call a one
- 58:57Speaker 1: night stand. But it was simply use starting what you've
- 59:00Speaker 1: been wanting to start for quite some time. Now, there's
- 59:04Speaker 1: one night stand that turned into two damn years. He
- 59:12Speaker 1: been having the same boring sex with this other woman
- 59:15Speaker 1: for eight years. It must not be that damn boring,
- 59:19Speaker 1: right because the eight years of born sex somebody that
- 59:23Speaker 1: you're not married to. What that makes no sense? Little girl?
- 59:30Speaker 1: You're the had turned into two sometimes full times a week.
- 59:33Speaker 1: It's the best sex we've both had. We see each
- 59:38Speaker 1: other work after work on the weekend. Shirley's absolutely right.
- 59:41Speaker 1: You are so convenient to him. You're full times a
- 59:45Speaker 1: week after work and a weekend getaways. All this hell,
- 59:49Speaker 1: where is this eight year relationship at if y'all having
- 59:54Speaker 1: sex full times a week. It ain't but seven days
- 59:59Speaker 1: in a week. You all ready and took up four.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: He got the babe one of them days. Hold on save,
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: we'll get part two of your response coming up at
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hour. Subject of today's Strawberry Letter,
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: I've fallen in love with her boyfriend. We'll get back
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: into it right after this. You're listening show. All right, Steve,
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: come on part two of your response to the Strawberry Letter.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: Let's recap please, all right. We got this lady, moved
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: to this city, met this man co worker. He was
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: real helpful, helped to get settled in. But he got
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: this girl friend in eight years and they got a child.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: She just threw that in. He has a girlfriend of
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: eight years and a child. Yeah, it's pretty big deal.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: Eight years and a baby. But I've I've always respected that.
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: That's what I like. I love that line. I've always
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: respected that because I would want someone to respect my relationship,
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: so I respected his. Then one day she got sick
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: and tired all this damn respect, get all this respect.
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: Let's have sex for one night. But I'm gonna give
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: it to you so good. You're gonna moan it, You're
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: gonna want it for a long time, and then you'll
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: be mine. Two years later, here she comes to write
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: this letter, having some great sex, best they've ever had.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: Four times a week. Oh very well, that worked afterward,
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: only job after the job on the weekend, getaways too much?
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: Full days a week. It's seven days in the week.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: Where is this hell for that? He'd been with for
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: eight years with this baby. If you have sex with
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: him four times a week, how many days do the
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: other girl getting? Because he still got to go down that, Well,
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: that's seven days a week. You can't do that. Got
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: to get some damn rest. Who you are? You got some,
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: so go somewhere and get your ass some rest. I've
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: tried to end things with him because I'm falling in
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: love with him, but I can't seem to stay away
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: from him, and he feels the same way. Well, that's
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: cause you're sprung, you're whipped, got your nose open. You've
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: been hammered. Ha. Yeah, that's old school, you've been hammered y.
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: So now he said his family has guilted him into
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: staying with his girlfriend. What this his family fault? Now,
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: they didn't guilted him into staying with his girlfriend. That's
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: what he came up with. That's what he's telling you.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: Why has been eight years, That's why he's been with
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: you for two years. So let me ask you something.
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: If his family has guilted him to stay with the girlfriend,
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: why has he told you that he been with you
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: for two years? Have you ever thought about that? Is
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: it guilt? Is it love? I haven't heard you say
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: he's in love with you. You said you will try
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: to end it because you've fallen in love with him.
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: I didn't hear you say he said that. I've never
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: pressured him to leave her because I'm the home wrecker
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: at this point. Yeah, you've been that, not at this point.
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: You was the home wrecker two years ago. Don't think
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: you just got the title today because you wrote the letter.
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: But I'm growing more and more jealous of a relationship.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: This is something that eats at me, and I'm finding
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: it hard to let him go. Well, let me ask
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: you question. If you're finding it hard to let him go,
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: what do you have. None of this belongs to you.
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: You don't have relationship with the title. He can't take
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: you over to the family's house. You ain't never been
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: over there because they know that he got this baby,
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: so you ain't welcome over there, and they didn't guilt
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: at you in the stand with her, so now, which
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: makes you not even want to ask to go over there.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: You ain't had a Christmas with the man in two
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: damn years. You ain't had no New Year's Eve with
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: him in two damn years. I can promise you you ain't.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: He ain't been at your house for Thanksgiving in two
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: damn years, because he can't. You ain't had none of that.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: So when you say it's hard let him go, what
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: you letting go of? How can I move on without
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: this great man that I'm in love with? This great
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: man has two chicks, one got a baby, and don't
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: neither one of y'all know about each other? Just who
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: the great man is? Should I give him an ultimatum
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: and see if his heart is really with me or
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: with her? You're not gonna do that because you're scared
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: because you already know he had eight years to leave
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: and ain't left her yet. He been with you just two.
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: Family ain't guilting him in this staying with you. The
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: family is guilted him into staying with her. Could it
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: be that he's just born at home. Hell yeah, and
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: you all the excitement he can y'all everywhere four times
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: a week. If I'm coming by your house four times
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: a week, do you know what's happening when I get
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: over there? To make me gass up and come over
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: there four times a week? You know many lies? I
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: got to tell this woman with this baby, my girlfriend
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: to not to show up four times a week. I'm
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: I come in the dolt with Ben Gay on my back,
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: stretching ice are hot? I got them bands and stuff.
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: I'm doing beat from yoga. I'm all this. I got
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: a politic machine in yoga garage. I'm doing everything. Girl,
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: listen to me. You're in a sexual relationship with a
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: man for two years and has been great sex. That's
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: all it is. Ask him who would he prefer to
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: be with? Just ask him, and then when he gives
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: you the answer, just say, well, why aren't you? Because
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: he gonna say I would prefer to be with you,
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: And then just say why are you? And then watch
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: this hill whoa. That's all you got to do, all right, Steve?
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: Thank you. Post your comments on today's Strawberry Letter at
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: Steve Harvey FM on Instagram and Facebook. And please don't
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: forget to check out the Strawberry Letter podcast on demand.
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: All right, more of this crazy ignorant show. Steve Harvey
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: Morning Show. Right after this. You're listening to Steve Harvey
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: Morning Show. People across the country were shocked by the
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: video of George Floyd losing his life while in police custody,
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: but the team who shot the video has been especially traumatized.
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: Seventeen year old Darnella Frasier is in therapy to deal
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: with the trauma of witnessing Floyd's death firsthand, but also
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: because she's had to deal with an unfair backlash of
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: criticism from people on social media suggesting she could have
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: done something to stop it. She could have done nothing, really, Yeah, whatsoever?
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: End up on the ground. Yeah, if you make any
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: attempt to stop a police officer. Number one, destruction of justice. Yeah,
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: number two, felonious interfering with a police officer in the
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: line of duty. Not to mention that you can be
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: perceived as a threat. And she could have lost her life.
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: And how this girl gonna get killed? She a young girl.
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: Social media, it's got so many damn idiots on it.
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: She's been dealing with a ton of media attention, which
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: has forced her and her family to move out of
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: their home in Minneapolis. Minneapolis, The damn police officers didn't
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: do nothing. What you want hut to do? Right? Exactly exactly.
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: But shouldn't we be glad that she got this on tape?
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: Of course? Hello, yes, of course. If it wasn't for
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: her bravery of shooting this video again, this would have
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: gone unnoticed. Yeah, exactly. Oh man, Yeah, so congratulations to heartbreak. Yeah,
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: but I mean a seventeen year old young lady like that,
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: she's traumatized. I'm sure she is. She this is hard,
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: and her family had to move from their home. This
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: is crazy. Minneapolis police say Frasier has cooperated with them
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: and has turned over her phone so they could extract
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: the original video. So, I mean, she's doing the right thing.
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: But you know, I mean heavily, heavily keep my phone.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: Shut up about your phone, specific time. Everybody's phone. Ain't
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: feel with you know, Yeah, incriminating ever did Yeah, she's
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: some people just have telephone. Yeah, you know what the
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: real numbers on it? Swipe left. I'm just trying to
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: swipe left on my phone. Swipe left, if you want to.
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: I'm just thinking you're gonna run into something. But her
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: bravery to tell me, yeah, we really should. I like
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: to reach out to her. Okay, you know that's what
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: I like to It is a way we could. Yeah,
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: I want to reach out to him. Yeah, we have
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: to preface because that hate is so much louder than love.
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: And y'all got to understand that, because when hate coming
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: your way, it's a lot louder than love. That's it.
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: That's true. That's it. Steve Marvela's Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: coming up right after this. You're listening to Steve Harvey
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: Morning Show. Those Atlanta police officers involved with a violent
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: arrest and tazing of two black young college students who
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: were in their vehicle during the protests after the curfew
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: this weekend are now facing some serious charges. The Fulton
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: County DA has charged six cops for using excessive force
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: during the incident with Messiah Young and Tenayah Pilgrim. Atlanta's
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: Mayor Kesha Lance Bottoms fired two of the officers immediately
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: and four were placed on desk duty. Now onto Louisville.
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: The police chief, Steve Conrad has been fired and two
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: officers are on administrative lead after a barbecue business owner
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: named David McAfee was shot dead by law enforcement trying
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: to enforce curfew amid protests. The officers body cans weren't
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: activated when authorities fatally shot mister McAfee. And as you know,
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: the Louisville Police Department is already under investigation following the
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: death of Brianna Taylor during that no knock warrant botched
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: raid back in March. We all remember that We're eight
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: where the officers in playing clothes fatally shot her eight times.
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: Things like we getting all these mad caps, but we
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: show ain't getting the ones with the three. We waiting
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: on everybody else, then we're gonna get the three. They're
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: working on that case right now. It's under investigation right now.
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: I don't see what they need to invest the video.
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: Look at the tape, just look at the tape. Yeah,
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: but but at least this action is you know, this
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: mayor of Louisville fired the police chief. So they are
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: taking action and makesha Lance Bottoms in Atlanta took immediate action.
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: She was on our show yesterday. So yeah, you know,
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: because they want to stop it. This is how you
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: stop it. You fired them immediately if they're you know,
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: acting inappropriate. Well, I mean, but we're seeing actions that's
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: being taken quickly that we hardly ever see before. Agreed. Yeah,
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: so it is changed it, Yeah, it is. And that's
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: the only way to change it. There has to be consequences, right, Yeah,
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: it cannot go unchecked, right right. And and and they
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: it was a hard time. I mean they said they
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: had a hard time doing it when they were interviewed
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: on TV. They had to watch the tape over and over,
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: and they said that's the only conclusion they could have
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: come to was to fire them because it was excessive
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: force in Atlanta. In Atlanta, Yeah, that's Mayor Keisha was saying.
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: And their chief of police very obvious. It was a
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: successive force. Yeah, this has been a lotive force. And
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: lawyer up quick yep. Yeah. And the young man said
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: that he was glad you know that they got those
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: monsters off the street? Um did they? Did they tage
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: the young lady too? I know they know they Yes, yeah, him,
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: I saw that, but I couldn't see what was going
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: on on the other side of the car. Yeah, he
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: was trying to protect her, but it looks like the
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: taste was all in the car and that and that
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: they did taste her. You know, you know, we've got
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: they've got to do that. It's a combination of two things,
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: racism and training. You've got to find a way to
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: train racist people. And because guess what, they don't do
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: enough in the process. The selection process is not thorough enough. Right.
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: There is no way to detect racism on the questionnaire right, right,
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: And anybody can apply for a job as a police officer.
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: I mean you have to go through a series of
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: tests and all of that. But like you say, you
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: don't know if they're racist by looking on a piece
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: of paper. Well, now, the officers in Atlanta, though they
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: were African American, the two that got fired immediately, correct,
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: they were they were okay, okay, they were Yeah. So
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: there's some like you said, Steve, it's both and there's
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: some training that they need to look at in these
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: police departments. There's something, there's something that's missing that. But yeah,
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: I mean, but racism, I mean you got to teach
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: that in the home. I mean, just like you guys
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: talk about how you teach your sons what to do
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: when you encounter police officers and all that. I mean,
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: what are what are other fans, What are white families
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: teaching their sons, their kids? What are they teaching that?
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: All right, let's talk about self care to relieve stress
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: and to relieve some of this anxiety a lot of
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: us have been feeling during all of this that's going on.
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right after this you're listening to
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: all right, So Steve, there's you know, no doubt that
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: these are highly stressful times. So I got to ask you,
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: are you practicing any sort of self care right now?
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: I know you're working out eating self care how to
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: handle stress. I've been brushing up on my cousin, working
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: on new combinations, you know, how to put them together,
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: working on the inflection. So when I get back out
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: there in the work world, I'm gonna come out with
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: new combinations. Okay, okay, you know, so a cusin has
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: been really the thing that I'm trying to brush up
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: on because it's helped me deal with the stress. You know,
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: And like a lot of you, I've been practicing with
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: my wife and she don't know it. Oh you've been
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: saying it to yourself. Oh yeah, under my breath. You
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: ain't crazy. Yeah, why were on quarantine? Right, I'll be
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: under my breath. Oh okay, yeah, I tried every chance
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: I get. I use different opportunities. Uh, Junior, what you got?
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: How many do you relieve your stress? You? I've been
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: in here by myself since March. What I like to
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: do with just cutn't my light? Sat? And? Uh, you know,
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: going into the kitchen and I opened that freezer, Dowa
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: stands right in it. Ud freeze is myself because I'm
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: too hot. I need somebody over here now. So I
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: stands into freezing, take ice cream and just put it on. Yeah,
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: I got cool off. That's what I grew for self CARER.
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: All right, We'll be back with more of the Steve
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show right after. You're listening to the Steve
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: Harvey Show. Yesterday, in Houston, more than sixty thousand people
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: marched in downtown Houston with the Floyd family in memory
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: of George Floyd. City leaders, local rappers, and pastor Joel
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: Oldstein were all in attendance. Meanwhile, during an emotional press conference,
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: the mother of George Floyd's daughter remembered him. Her name
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: is Roxe Washington Or, she remembered him as a good man,
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: and she also pointed out the fact that their daughter
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: will not grow up, will now grow up without a father.
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: Take a listen, this is what those obstice at the
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: end the other day. They get to go home and
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: be with a family. Shanna does not have a father.
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: He will never see grow up graduate. He will never
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: walk down the eye. If it's a problem she's having
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: and she needs a dad, she does not have that anymore.
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: I'm home for my baby, and I'm here for George
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: because I want justice for him. I want justice for
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: him because he was good. No matter what anybody thinks,
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: he was good. And this is the proof that he
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: was a good man. Wow, lord proof. She pointed to
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: the baby, a little Gianna six years old. Beautiful baby,
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: beautiful baby, just beautiful little girl. Seat man, you know
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: this this one. Um. It's been so many of these
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: since I've been alive. It's been so many George Floyd's.
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: It's been I can't count them. That never made the
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: news that I that I knew of, right, that I
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: knew of heard of. My father told me about him,
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: My brothers told me about him. It happened to some cousins.
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: It happens in all of my relative city. Finally, Yeah,
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: in twenty twenty, I can say, for the first time,
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: I think something is going to happen because of this
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: is the first time I can say I've never felt
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: like day was gonna do nothing before, even though I
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: thought once social media came out and you could see
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: some of these things that we knew was existing or
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: we saw and there was no way to film it.
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: We just I knew after social media, once you could
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: see this, oh god, here it comes. And then to
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: my surprise, nothing happened anyway, and so I became hardened
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: by it coming up. It's our last break of the day.
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: It's the last streak of the day. Ain't no more,
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: not ain't no more. And we'll have some closing remarks
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: from the one and only. He's a singer. You heard him,
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: Steve Harvey at forty nine minutes after right after this
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: you're listening show. All right, here we are, last break
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: of the day. You know what I want to do
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: is the closing remark that I did yesterday, because I'm
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: really trying to get a certain point home so that
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: we get a clear understanding of where we are with
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: the protest which I again support protests. I understand the
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: anger and how to protest turns because you are so angry,
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: But I want you to understand what they are now
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: going to do if we don't stay focused on the point,
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: because we have some a lot of outside help right now.
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: This is what I did, Yester. I just want to
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: reiterate this, so I want to repeat my closing remark
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: from yesterday. I have something I want to say. I've
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: thought about this today and I'll try to find the
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: best way to say it. But I want to say
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: to all the protesters, I want to come to you
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: as Steve Harvey. I want to come to you as
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: a sixty three year old black man. I want to
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: come to you as uncle Steve. I want to come
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: to you as whatever affection you have for me. I
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: want you to understand that I'm coming at you with
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: this from a place of nothing but love, because I
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: am first and foremost African American. When I wake up
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: in the morning, I can never escape that it is
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: a badge that I have worn with honor for sixty
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: three years. I've never tried to run for the fact
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: that I am black. I'm proud of it. I'm proud
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: of my people. I'm proud of what we've overcome and
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: how we've come this far in spite of all the obstacles.
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: So what I'm saying to you is coming from nothing
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: but a place of love. The subject that I want
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: to talk to you about today is go home. Don't
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: give him the satisfaction. And I want you to understand
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: what I'm saying to you. See, listen to me, people,
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: I'm sixty three years old. Infiltraders have been hired to
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: incite riots for years. Infiltraders have been hired to incite
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: riots for years. See the system has learned over the
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: years how to deflate protest. See. The last protests that
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: was successful in this country, to my knowledge, was doing
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: the civil rights movement. See Martin Luther King had the
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: cleanest way to get results through peaceful protest. Now, whether
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: you agree with it or not, it worked, So listen
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: to me because it produced changed in the voting rights
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: at It produced things like affirmative action, schools became integrated,
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: and a spotlight got put on Bull Connors down there
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: with the things that he was doing to protesters in Alabama,
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: amongst other things, the rows of parks incident. All it
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: has came about through peaceful protests. Now, since then, the
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: system has learned how to change the narrative of all
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: protests starting in peace and gaining momentum. Once they see
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: that a peaceful protest is gaining momentum, they simply wait
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: on the proper time to incite the masses with either
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: words or deeds. I'm telling you, I know what I'm
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: talking about him, which then allows them to change the
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: narrative or simply flip the script. Listen to me, folks,
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: go home, don't give them the satisfaction. And I want
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: to show you what's happening now. Our leadership has waited
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: on this exact moment in time twice already. See, instead
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: of addressing the problem, he finds a way of making
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: a different narrative. Let me give you an example. He
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: found a way to make Calin Callin Kaepernick's kneeling, which
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: it was about this very topic and outrage that we're
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: feeling right now over the recent murders of innocent black men. See,
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: Colin Kaepernick was right, he had it right. But the flip,
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: the changing of the narrative was made. See, his kneeling
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: became against the military and the flag. Oh man, don't
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: you know what happened then? See that end at all
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: the kneeling. It cost him his career. But even more
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: hurtful was we were no longer talking about racial injustice
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: and police brutality, and our leadership came in and made
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: himself to be a patriot. And now it's happening again.
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: Listen to me, y'all, go home. Don't give him the satisfaction. See,
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: once peaceful protests turns into burning and looting, which is
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: being incited by people strategically placed to stir up their
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: anger and to start the burning that start the looting.
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: It now now allows them to cause a thing to happen.
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: It allows them knowing this will happen, knowing that they've
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: been waiting on this to happen. It now makes it
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: all about destruction of property and lawless criminal behavior called looting,
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: and it is set up to kill the original cause
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: for protests. So now they can send in the National Guard,
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: squash this civil unrest and do it all under the
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: law of breaking laws and curfews. And the leadership in
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: this country who stopped talking about the invisible enemy called
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: Corona because he couldn't defeat that, so he found the
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: visible enemy again, and it's us again. We are the
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: visible enemy. So he's now calling himself the law and
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: order president. So here he comes in to save the date.
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: Ain't open his mouth one time about healing our nation
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: or trying to show support against racism, none of that.
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: Now he gonna just shut all these lawbreakers down. Young
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: people go home. Don't give him the satisfaction because this
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: all he weighed. For the first time since the Civil
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: rights we have non white joining leader. They are listening.
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: Don't let him change the manager. No purchases prohibited must
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: be legal unless otherwise state. For complete contest rules, visit
