- 1:45Speaker 6: him out, turn the water.
- 1:47Speaker 9: The morning up looking. Come come on, you think.
- 2:02Speaker 7: I sure will? Good morning everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 2: You're listening to the voice, Come on, dig me now,
- 2:09Speaker 2: one and only. It is Steve Harvey. Yeah, I got
- 2:14Speaker 2: a radio show. Okay, this is a timely for everybody.
- 2:19Speaker 2: I'm sure I want to offer you all some encouragement
- 2:27Speaker 2: because everybody needed. Let me tell you something. You strike
- 2:35Speaker 2: out on your goals, you strike out on your aspirations,
- 2:39Speaker 2: and so you strike out. As it happens to all
- 2:43Speaker 2: of us. Here it comes life. Life just hits one
- 2:50Speaker 2: of them bad notes, as it always does, as it
- 2:55Speaker 2: always does for all of us, for everybody. Now, when
- 3:02Speaker 2: those bad notes happen, when the haters come out of nowhere,
- 3:06Speaker 2: when the setback comes up, when when the eye of
- 3:10Speaker 2: nowhere appears, when now I didn't see that coming comes,
- 3:16Speaker 2: Here's here's what you have to do. Here is the
- 3:20Speaker 2: thing that I have been teaching myself for years that
- 3:25Speaker 2: I used to not always understand. So I'm trying to
- 3:29Speaker 2: give it to you. You have to be encouraged anyway.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Now that's difficult, Okay, Steve, what you're talking about? You
- 3:39Speaker 2: just told me all this discouraging stuff that can happen,
- 3:42Speaker 2: and you said you got to be encouraged anyway. Yeah, man,
- 3:48Speaker 2: you have to, because what's happening to you right now,
- 3:53Speaker 2: the thing that you're going through right now, the thing
- 3:56Speaker 2: that everybody's going through right now.
- 3:58Speaker 7: Ain't nobody on smooth man.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Everybody got something and if they if they don't smooth sailing,
- 4:05Speaker 2: just know this is coming. There's nothing I'm wishing on anybody.
- 4:08Speaker 2: It's just that this is life. This is how it
- 4:11Speaker 2: happens everybody, So please stop stop getting on the old
- 4:15Speaker 2: woe is Me bandwagon?
- 4:17Speaker 7: Old Lord?
- 4:17Speaker 2: Why met old Lord? Something always happened to me, something
- 4:22Speaker 2: always happens to everybody. But here's what you got to do.
- 4:27Speaker 2: When you get in moments like this, you got to
- 4:30Speaker 2: be encouraged. You got to remember in those times, in
- 4:34Speaker 2: those times when it's going wrong, you got to remember
- 4:38Speaker 2: all that you've been through.
- 4:42Speaker 7: You got to remember all that you've come through.
- 4:47Speaker 2: You have to remember those other times when you felt
- 4:50Speaker 2: like this, and somehow, unexplainably you don't even really stop
- 4:55Speaker 2: to say nothing about it.
- 4:57Speaker 7: It just changed for you, and the problem that was
- 5:01Speaker 7: is no more.
- 5:03Speaker 2: And the situation that seems so insurmountable, you got over it,
- 5:09Speaker 2: You got around it, you got over it. Sometimes you
- 5:14Speaker 2: just got to slide right under it. Sometimes you got
- 5:19Speaker 2: to plow through it. But in those times when it's
- 5:24Speaker 2: discouraging for you, when you feel like giving up, those
- 5:29Speaker 2: are the test. Those are the moments that will determine
- 5:36Speaker 2: whether we make it or not.
- 5:37Speaker 7: I'll tell you one thing for sure.
- 5:40Speaker 2: If you give up in these moments, right here here
- 5:43Speaker 2: is a for show you'll never make it. That that's
- 5:48Speaker 2: unquestionably the deal. If you give up in these dark times,
- 5:54Speaker 2: if you give up in these what you think is
- 5:56Speaker 2: insurmountable moments, if you turn back now here is the
- 6:02Speaker 2: one thousand percent for sure you ain't gonna make it.
- 6:05Speaker 2: But there is a bright side to this situation. If
- 6:10Speaker 2: you keep your head down, if you keep forging, if
- 6:15Speaker 2: you keep pressing on. Sometimes if you just stand there
- 6:19Speaker 2: and sometimes get knocked to your knees.
- 6:22Speaker 7: But if you stay in that place, if.
- 6:25Speaker 2: You just stay there and ride the storm out, my
- 6:28Speaker 2: head is bloodied but unbowed. If you can just stay there,
- 6:36Speaker 2: if you consider in that moment and ride it out,
- 6:44Speaker 2: you will win. You will pass the test, and you
- 6:47Speaker 2: will get to move on to the next level. But
- 6:51Speaker 2: there is no next level without a test. You can't
- 6:55Speaker 2: get to grade six without passing grade five. You can't
- 6:59Speaker 2: be your senior without first being a junior. You can't
- 7:04Speaker 2: graduate without fulfilling the hours and requirements. You see, I
- 7:10Speaker 2: don't care what you do in life. Look at it.
- 7:13Speaker 2: It's all set up on levels. Well, you've got to
- 7:16Speaker 2: accomplish the thing before in order to get to the
- 7:19Speaker 2: next level.
- 7:20Speaker 7: And when you've.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Made those level accomplishments, you get to graduate. Now you
- 7:25Speaker 2: can go on and get a master's and a pH d.
- 7:27Speaker 2: You can go on and become rich. You can go
- 7:29Speaker 2: become wealthy, or you can go or you can go
- 7:32Speaker 2: somewhere and think yourself in another set of circumstances. But
- 7:35Speaker 2: you got to go through something to get to something.
- 7:38Speaker 2: That ain't nothing free. So you can stop that notion
- 7:42Speaker 2: about being successful that is easy. Come on, man, if
- 7:45Speaker 2: it was easy, what we don't what we're talking about.
- 7:50Speaker 2: It is not easy. Stop thinking it is. It is difficult.
- 7:55Speaker 2: But I'll tell you what's even more difficult than becoming successful.
- 7:59Speaker 2: You know what that is? Try not being successful your
- 8:03Speaker 2: whole life. That's hard. You are listening to a person
- 8:08Speaker 2: who has done them both been successful and really really
- 8:15Speaker 2: been not successful.
- 8:17Speaker 7: And I got news for you. Both of them hard.
- 8:21Speaker 2: But I would rather deal with what it is to
- 8:23Speaker 2: be something, to make something out of myself, to force
- 8:27Speaker 2: myself to go to work when I don't feel like it.
- 8:29Speaker 2: This morning was a rough get up for me, but
- 8:32Speaker 2: I got up and I said thank you anyway.
- 8:35Speaker 7: Never give up.
- 8:36Speaker 2: And I don't watch this dude to Heed the mess
- 8:38Speaker 2: around and got close to me because he just never
- 8:41Speaker 2: gave up.
- 8:42Speaker 7: Get You can never ever give up. Never, It's not
- 8:46Speaker 7: an option.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Giving up cannot be an option for you.
- 8:51Speaker 7: You cannot do that. It's out of the question.
- 8:55Speaker 2: It's inconceivable in your mind to quit, because to quit
- 8:59Speaker 2: is to wak But what you get when you quit nothing,
- 9:04Speaker 2: That is a reward for those who hang in there,
- 9:07Speaker 2: who never give up, who forge through, who see it through,
- 9:11Speaker 2: who get knocked down and get back up, who gets trample,
- 9:15Speaker 2: but somehow gathers themselves and get back to your knees.
- 9:19Speaker 2: But stay in that place, man, don't ever give up.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Don't let go be encouraged. Think of all you've been through,
- 9:25Speaker 2: Think of all you come through. Think of all He's
- 9:27Speaker 2: done for you. Think of all the times you thought
- 9:30Speaker 2: you wasn't gonna make it. But somehow, without you ever
- 9:32Speaker 2: even saying thank you, he got through. He got you
- 9:35Speaker 2: through it. Anyway. That's that thing called grace. Now we
- 9:38Speaker 2: kind of need that in our life. All will all
- 9:41Speaker 2: I need is a little more grace. You can't give
- 9:45Speaker 2: God no money for grace, man. Grace is absolutely free.
- 9:48Speaker 2: It's available to everybody. But you can't get none if
- 9:52Speaker 2: you quit. Don't give up. I'll just tell you that
- 9:54Speaker 2: flat out. Don't ever give up.
- 9:57Speaker 10: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 16:08Speaker 12: Dad shouldn't be a problem. I know, I know a
- 16:10Speaker 12: little bit about yoga.
- 16:11Speaker 8: That's that.
- 16:11Speaker 12: I mean, really, if it's y'all, you know, you're not
- 16:13Speaker 12: making no noise that yoga, that's not a problem.
- 16:15Speaker 8: A good deal. Well, how quick can I actually get

- 16:19Speaker 8: moved in from the from the East coast. I jumped
- 16:22Speaker 8: on my yoga pretty quicks and it got quite a

- 16:28Speaker 8: just ready to get started, get moved in, man, some
- 16:29Speaker 8: something that I can actually call home, you know.
- 16:32Speaker 12: H yeah, Well you know we're looking to rent rented
- 16:34Speaker 12: out pretty quick, you know, because we want to try

- 16:37Speaker 8: Because you should, will are you are you? You got
- 16:40Speaker 8: a roommate? You're you're?
- 16:43Speaker 12: It would be me and my wife and uh we
- 16:45Speaker 12: it's a three bedroom home. You would have the room
- 16:47Speaker 12: in the back with the bathroom and uh yeah, like

- 16:58Speaker 8: do you necessarily need to do it for?
- 17:00Speaker 12: Well, you got to know who you're into, and then
- 17:02Speaker 12: you want to know what the credit they got, so
- 17:04Speaker 12: if they can afford the rent or not. You know,
- 17:05Speaker 12: I got I got real good credit, man, My credit

- 17:16Speaker 12: ready to get it cracking, I can do. I can
- 17:17Speaker 12: do a background checking you right now. Just give me
- 17:19Speaker 12: a security number.
- 17:20Speaker 8: Okay, but let me let me go ahead and just
- 17:22Speaker 8: do this. Man on that background check because you know
- 17:25Speaker 8: what I want to say about that is this there
- 17:27Speaker 8: might be something on there about like when I was
- 17:30Speaker 8: on the East Coast. You know, I was actually teaching uh,
- 17:32Speaker 8: naked yoga, you know what I mean, naked yoga. Uh
- 17:36Speaker 8: you know you might see something on there about me
- 17:37Speaker 8: being a NPHO naked yoga yo. See that's what that's
- 17:42Speaker 8: the kind of yoga I was teaching on the East
- 17:43Speaker 8: Coast was naked yoga, you know what I'm saying.
- 17:45Speaker 12: And everybody want teaching naked yoga here.
- 17:47Speaker 8: Well, but see that's in the backyard. It's closed in
- 17:49Speaker 8: you know.
- 17:49Speaker 12: In a lot of backyard. And you what what what
- 17:52Speaker 12: other glitch you got? You said, there's some glitches Michael,
- 17:54Speaker 12: Well what does the glitch you got?
- 17:55Speaker 8: Well you might see that I'm a NPHO mania, but
- 17:57Speaker 8: see they but see I didn't took some I don't
- 17:59Speaker 8: took class what. I just took counseling for that.
- 18:02Speaker 12: Though, Well you need to take some counseling over somewhere else.
- 18:06Speaker 12: You ain't taking no counseling and doing no negga yoga
- 18:08Speaker 12: in my backyard.
- 18:09Speaker 8: Not but man, all that's behind me now, that's on
- 18:11Speaker 8: the East coast man. That that's that's all behind me. Now,
- 18:14Speaker 8: I need to put that thing down.
- 18:15Speaker 12: Man, I don't care if it's behind you, in front
- 18:17Speaker 12: of you on the side. You're doing Necker yoga in
- 18:19Speaker 12: my backyard. That thing's happening, man. Matter of fact.
- 18:21Speaker 8: Man, hey, man, listen, wratch when I got all your
- 18:24Speaker 8: lists that qualify and move in there, and now you're
- 18:26Speaker 8: gonna sit here and tell me I can't.
- 18:27Speaker 12: Talking about doing some Necker yoga in my backyard with
- 18:30Speaker 12: no twenty thirty people. Now my wife being on Man.
- 18:33Speaker 8: You look your wife. It's all good, man.
- 18:39Speaker 12: Just scratch that one off your list and just move
- 18:41Speaker 12: on to the next one, because it ain't no neked
- 18:42Speaker 12: yoga going down back here with no no for maniacs.
- 18:45Speaker 12: I don't know what else y'all might be doing. I
- 18:47Speaker 12: don't know what. I don't know who does next.
- 18:49Speaker 8: Yo, we always it's just it's just it's just a
- 18:52Speaker 8: serene moment, man, where you find yourself. That's all this
- 18:56Speaker 8: really is about.
- 18:56Speaker 12: Where you better find yourself somewhere. No, that's what I
- 18:59Speaker 12: know you doing. No necker you'll get in my backyard.
- 19:01Speaker 12: I'm surprised you even called somebody with that Hey.
- 19:04Speaker 8: Man, I'm gonna come over that to this address and
- 19:06Speaker 8: start looking at this place because I want to set

- 22:10Speaker 10: Coming up at the top of the hour and entertainment news,
- 22:13Speaker 10: Jonathan Majors checked a fan that was flirting with his wife.
- 22:17Speaker 10: Doctor Heavenly from Married to Medicine is running for Georgia
- 22:22Speaker 10: state representative, and Lauren Hill said it wasn't her fault
- 22:26Speaker 10: that she performed so late at essen's best. That is
- 22:29Speaker 10: all coming up as a top of the hour. But
- 22:32Speaker 10: right now it's time to ask the CLO our chief
- 22:36Speaker 10: Love Officer, Steve Harvey. All right, Steve, this is from
- 22:40Speaker 10: Krista and Mansfield. Christa writes, I'm thirty seven and I've
- 22:43Speaker 10: been engaged since I.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Was thirty two.
- 22:46Speaker 10: I was supposed to move to Arkansas to be with
- 22:48Speaker 10: my fiancee, but he changed my moving date because of
- 22:52Speaker 10: house repairs. How long do I wait for him to
- 22:55Speaker 10: get himself together? Is he wasting my time?
- 23:00Speaker 2: Well, with men, I say this all the time, the
- 23:03Speaker 2: usual delay in the marriage is finance. Always remember this, ladies.
- 23:10Speaker 2: Women and men operate on two different clocks. Women have
- 23:14Speaker 2: a biological clock. Women always say, or usually say, Hey,
- 23:18Speaker 2: I want to be married by this, I want to
- 23:20Speaker 2: start a family by this. I want to have a
- 23:22Speaker 2: baby by this, blah blah blah blah blah. I don't
- 23:24Speaker 2: want to be this old trying to have no baby
- 23:26Speaker 2: blah blah blah. All that's understandable, acceptable, respectable. Men have
- 23:31Speaker 2: a financial clock. We're trying to get it together financially.
- 23:37Speaker 2: So he's looking at everything from a cost perspective.
- 23:44Speaker 7: All of that.
- 23:46Speaker 2: But see, you know, now, Tommy, you got to remember
- 23:48Speaker 2: it's all relative. You know, you can't house repair is
- 23:51Speaker 2: gonna stop you from getting for chr You don't have
- 23:55Speaker 2: to worry about heightht repair costs, see because they don't
- 23:58Speaker 2: mean you because he because he got the money for it.
- 24:04Speaker 4: But you know that's what you get. But the woman,
- 24:09Speaker 4: what's wrong with the house that the woman can't get
- 24:11Speaker 4: in there?
- 24:12Speaker 3: I'm with you team Tommy on this one.
- 24:14Speaker 7: What hey, hey at Ruth's twenty thirty.
- 24:19Speaker 1: Thousand, but something's wrong with it?
- 24:24Speaker 7: Yeah, how you gonna pump the brakes on that? Hey?
- 24:27Speaker 7: You can you get if they don't found a crack
- 24:29Speaker 7: in that foundation? Hey, but it's cost you?
- 24:33Speaker 1: So she really thinks he might be wasting her time.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Though, But if it's mold up in there, all these
- 24:44Speaker 2: is high end repairs, and stop acting like y'all don't know.
- 24:50Speaker 7: Yeah, okay, okay, seeee.
- 24:53Speaker 2: Let me just remind all y'all bullshy people on this
- 24:55Speaker 2: show how it was. Oh look who got to remind who?
- 24:58Speaker 1: Now?
- 24:59Speaker 7: Oh, how soon we forget when we get money?
- 25:03Speaker 2: Remember when you was trying to put a generator on
- 25:05Speaker 2: your house.
- 25:06Speaker 1: Hello, and Junior's still working for his fence.
- 25:10Speaker 2: Don't forget And lord, why is we still discussing this fence?
- 25:16Speaker 8: All right?
- 25:17Speaker 3: Stop for getting married.
- 25:20Speaker 10: Moving on to a Donathan in Birmingham. Donathan writes, my
- 25:23Speaker 10: wife and I have a small dog that's manageable. I
- 25:26Speaker 10: want a big dog for the backyard because we're in
- 25:29Speaker 10: an up and coming neighborhood or area. She said no
- 25:33Speaker 10: to another dog. I bought her what she wanted, so
- 25:35Speaker 10: how can she say no? Why can't I get a dog?
- 25:39Speaker 7: See you now, Junior? That wrote this letter? In what see?
- 25:45Speaker 2: Junior then wrote this letter in Junior wife got a
- 25:48Speaker 2: small dog?
- 25:50Speaker 1: Yes, stella, Junior want a.
- 25:51Speaker 2: Big dog because they're in an up and coming neighborhood.
- 25:56Speaker 2: But now we can't get this big dog because we
- 25:59Speaker 2: ain't got I know, fence. And now he wants to
- 26:03Speaker 2: know why he can't get a big dog. We can't
- 26:05Speaker 2: keep the little dog in this y'all. It's all coming together.
- 26:12Speaker 1: Now, Sorry I wrote this. Yeah, all right, we're.
- 26:24Speaker 2: Gonna get you an fff thing started for you, Junior,
- 26:27Speaker 2: f F f P. That's a find me a fence fun.
- 26:37Speaker 1: All right? Moving on? Do we do we help her?
- 26:39Speaker 5: All right, can we help Yeah, I don't think we
- 26:42Speaker 5: helped him though everybody. He says that every day now.
- 26:49Speaker 5: I can't help everybody, all.
- 26:51Speaker 1: Right, at least in slide L Right.
- 26:53Speaker 10: So I got a little freaky with one of my
- 26:56Speaker 10: ex husband's friends. We didn't go all the way, but
- 26:59Speaker 10: I wass in the back of his SUV. Pictures circulated,
- 27:03Speaker 10: and my ex wants to talk to me about it.

- 32:57Speaker 2: maybe you're mine. She said, no, go ahead, I'm standing
- 33:00Speaker 2: there with Marjorie. We hold in hands. So I stood

- 33:34Speaker 2: time going into a Fasteries show. Hey Steve, over this way,
- 33:38Speaker 2: over this way, Magi Margi. They always heard that, and
- 33:42Speaker 2: then this one dude, Hey Steve, lose the girl. I said,

- 34:03Speaker 2: And next time, man, just be more respectful, be remindful.
- 34:06Speaker 2: She right there, and you're talking about lose the girl
- 34:09Speaker 2: when I'm not gonna lose her. I take all my
- 34:11Speaker 2: pictures with her now. If you don't want her to
- 34:13Speaker 2: picture and find something else to do. I'm not the
- 34:17Speaker 2: fine one in this family anyway.
- 34:20Speaker 1: Well, let's talk to the fine one.
- 34:22Speaker 10: Let's you know in his mind anyway, Tommy, you're supposed
- 34:26Speaker 10: to be the sexy one on the show, not in his.
- 34:29Speaker 7: Family though you're not finding it. Oh you're not the
- 34:34Speaker 7: glide over that family in front of him and Ade.
- 34:37Speaker 7: That's not what you fitted. I clean it. I have
- 34:40Speaker 7: seen them together, and the star in their photos is her.
- 34:44Speaker 7: I'll definitely say that.
- 34:46Speaker 10: You know, tell me thinks he's a sexy one on
- 34:48Speaker 10: the show pictures, he don't. Has this ever happened to
- 34:52Speaker 10: you while you were with your wife?
- 34:55Speaker 7: No, no, I have not had that. I am not here.
- 34:58Speaker 7: I've had a.
- 34:59Speaker 4: Well, let me say that, I had a person say
- 35:01Speaker 4: something at the dinner table awaited and says something that
- 35:06Speaker 4: was out of line, and I was like, hey man,
- 35:08Speaker 4: first blank you yeah, yeah, I ain't y'all knowing.
- 35:14Speaker 7: I can feel that in for you.
- 35:17Speaker 1: No, no, you cannot not on air. Thank you.
- 35:28Speaker 7: That's what he said to him.
- 35:31Speaker 1: All Right, We're gonna move on.
- 35:32Speaker 10: Reality TV star and board board certified dentist, Doctor Heavenly
- 35:36Speaker 10: Kahn stars on Bravos Married to Medicine. She's applying for
- 35:40Speaker 10: a new job in the Georgia State Senate. So on Tuesday,
- 35:44Speaker 10: Doctor Heavenly, as she's known on the Married to Medicine
- 35:47Speaker 10: on the show, announced her candidacy on the Democratic ticket
- 35:51Speaker 10: for Georgia State Representative in District sixty three. Her castmate
- 35:56Speaker 10: quad Web is her campaign manager. They were a valley
- 36:00Speaker 10: in front of the Georgia State Capitol. Doctor Heavenly said, quote,
- 36:04Speaker 10: I'm not a career politician. I'm a mom, a doctor,
- 36:07Speaker 10: a business owner, and I'm not afraid to stand up
- 36:10Speaker 10: for what I believe in.
- 36:11Speaker 1: I'm running to serve and I'm ready to work.
- 36:14Speaker 3: Now.
- 36:14Speaker 10: This comes as a shock to many of the fans
- 36:16Speaker 10: to marry to medicine because Doctor Heavenly, if you know
- 36:19Speaker 10: the show's very quick to stir up mess and whenever
- 36:23Speaker 10: someone comes to her, she says, your mama. She's really
- 36:26Speaker 10: quick to say that. Yeah, she does not care who
- 36:29Speaker 10: she offends. Some say this is the stuff that great
- 36:32Speaker 10: politicians are made of.
- 36:33Speaker 1: What do you nice think?
- 36:34Speaker 7: But you think you can't say your mama to me?
- 36:37Speaker 7: I'm just gonna let you know, let's get very public
- 36:42Speaker 7: about that.
- 36:43Speaker 3: But Doctor Heavenly, her clock back is quick. It's fans.

- 56:44Speaker 10: Thank you, nephew. Subject my mama versus my wife. Dear
- 56:48Speaker 10: Stephen Shirley. I met my wife four years ago, and
- 56:51Speaker 10: I've been sneaking around behind her back since I met her.
- 56:54Speaker 10: I haven't been cheating. I'm sure that's what you're thinking,
- 56:58Speaker 10: but I've been seeing my mama on this. When I
- 57:00Speaker 10: first met my wife, I explained to her that my
- 57:04Speaker 10: dad passed away in twenty twenty, and since then, I've
- 57:07Speaker 10: stepped up to take care of my mama and make
- 57:09Speaker 10: sure she's good. At the time, my wife understood where
- 57:13Speaker 10: I was coming from because she's a big She's big
- 57:16Speaker 10: on family too. A few weeks into dating, she told
- 57:19Speaker 10: me that she hates mama's boys. I already knew I
- 57:22Speaker 10: wanted to marry this woman, so I downplayed everything I
- 57:25Speaker 10: did for my mama. I lied about taking my mama
- 57:28Speaker 10: to dinner, or taking her to the movies, and shopping
- 57:30Speaker 10: with her for hours on the weekend. My girl thought
- 57:33Speaker 10: I was at the gym or doing hard yard work,
- 57:36Speaker 10: or doing yard work or whatever other lie I told her.
- 57:40Speaker 10: She trusted me and never questioned me. My girl met
- 57:43Speaker 10: my mama and they started hanging out. Before the wedding,
- 57:47Speaker 10: I knew I was in trouble. Mama told her about
- 57:50Speaker 10: a movie that we saw together, and my girl had
- 57:52Speaker 10: been asking me to see that movie with her. I
- 57:54Speaker 10: told her that my mom had it wrong, and I
- 57:57Speaker 10: never saw that movie with her, and then I had
- 57:59Speaker 10: to go back to the movies to see it with
- 58:01Speaker 10: my girl. Now that we've been married for four months,
- 58:04Speaker 10: it's hard to sneak out to see my mom. I
- 58:07Speaker 10: cannot hide how much my mama calls me, and I
- 58:10Speaker 10: can't explain why I FaceTime my mom so much.
- 58:14Speaker 1: I'm the youngest and I am her favorite son.
- 58:17Speaker 10: I'd love for her to live with us, But I'm
- 58:20Speaker 10: scared to ask my wife because I can tell and
- 58:23Speaker 10: since that she's tired of my mama. What am I
- 58:27Speaker 10: supposed to do? How can I keep both of the
- 58:30Speaker 10: special women in my life happy?
- 58:32Speaker 1: Woo? All right, yeah exactly, Steve.
- 58:37Speaker 10: I know that your mom and everything, but you do
- 58:40Speaker 10: realize that your wife comes first, right? You guys have
- 58:45Speaker 10: only been married for four months. Your initial obligation after
- 58:48Speaker 10: you took those marriage vows is to your wife. And
- 58:52Speaker 10: now should you help your mom?
- 58:53Speaker 1: Should you be.
- 58:54Speaker 10: There whenever you can? Absolutely yes? But can you Will
- 58:58Speaker 10: you be there every second of the day for your mom?
- 59:01Speaker 10: The answer to that, of course, is no. You're only
- 59:04Speaker 10: one person, and you're a husband. A husband first, you
- 59:09Speaker 10: can't keep doing this. The way you're going about it
- 59:11Speaker 10: is crazy and I'm sure very stressful, and it keeps
- 59:15Speaker 10: you sneaking out and lying to your wife and making
- 59:17Speaker 10: your mom feel some kind of way. I'm sure what
- 59:20Speaker 10: about when or if you have kids of your own,
- 59:23Speaker 10: then what are you gonna do? This is why your
- 59:26Speaker 10: wife said she hates Mama's boys because they do stupid
- 59:29Speaker 10: stuff like this. You say you can since your wife
- 59:32Speaker 10: is tired of all of this, but really she's tired
- 59:36Speaker 10: of you. Okay, and how you're handling this situation. You
- 59:41Speaker 10: should get your siblings together, let them, you know, help
- 59:45Speaker 10: out and help your mom. Sometimes what are they doing?
- 59:48Speaker 10: I bet they're spending time with their wives and family, right.
- 59:51Speaker 10: But if everyone chips in helps take care of your mom,
- 59:54Speaker 10: you would have more time to spend with your wife.
- 59:56Speaker 10: You guys could rotate these responsibilities. You might be the
- 59:59Speaker 10: favorite son, but why should you bear the bulk of
- 1:00:02Speaker 10: the responsibility with your mom?
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: Steve, Uh, this is a disaster my mama versus my wife.
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: It shouldn't even be the case. See son, listen to me.
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: You're not this the end of the letter. The question
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: is how do I how can I keep both of
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: the special women in my life happy? That ain't your job.
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: I'm sorry, that ain't your job. That was your dad's job,
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: who passed away, was to protect, provide for his for
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: his wife.
- 1:00:42Speaker 7: He's gone regrettably so, and send my condolences to you.
- 1:00:46Speaker 8: That.
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: I'm not trying to say that in a harsh way,
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: because Lord knows I know the loss of both parents,
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: So I'm not saying that to you, but I'm saying, brother,
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: that was his job. Your job is to protect profee
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: and provide for your wife. What you're trying to do,
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: you're not going to accomplish. And then, secondly, man, stop
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: talking all this about your mama. This you you a
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: mama's boy. You are a mama's boy.
- 1:01:17Speaker 7: Period. It is hard to be a mama's boy and
- 1:01:22Speaker 7: a husband them too do is not work.
- 1:01:27Speaker 8: Man.
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: That don't work for nobody. It ain't gonna work for
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: your mama. And I got news for you. It show
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: ain't gonna work for your wife because a wife requires
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: too much, and as she should. A wife needs your
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: attention and oftentimes your undivided attention and you can't split
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: that up with other people. Look, man, if y'all gonna
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: have a family, you gotta get and you just you know, man,
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: you do you do real silly stuff. Man, You just
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: a how old are you? Man?
- 1:02:09Speaker 7: That's what I need to know. You know, I stepped
- 1:02:13Speaker 7: up taking care of my mama and make sure you're good.
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: At the time, my wife understood where I was coming
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: from because she big on family too. Yeah, that's but
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: she didn't know this though. You know, a few weeks
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: sitting to dat and she told me she hate mama boys. Well, yeah,
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: I already knew I wanted to marry this woman. So
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: I downplayed everything, and so you know, after you downplayed everything,
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: but she was down playing it so you could continue. Okay,
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: I lied about taking my mama to dinner, taking her
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: to the movie, shopping with the five hours on the weekend?
- 1:02:51Speaker 11: Who do that with they?
- 1:02:52Speaker 7: Mama?
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: Hang on, Steve, hang on?
- 1:02:55Speaker 7: So what man do that with his mama?
- 1:02:57Speaker 10: We'll have part two of your response coming up at
- 1:03:00Speaker 10: twenty three minutes after the hour today Strawberry Letters. Subject
- 1:03:04Speaker 10: is my mama versus my wife? My mama versus my wife.
- 1:03:08Speaker 10: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening
- 1:03:13Speaker 10: Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:03:19Speaker 7: Do you think astronauts fight over elbow room?
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: Probably because advanced tech doesn't always mean more space until
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: now introduce it. The Hondai Ionic nine, a three row
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: electric suv with over three hundred miles of range. Ultra
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: fast charging capability, and lots of space.
- 1:03:37Speaker 4: The all new Hondai Ionic nine face in an ev

- 1:03:44Speaker 4: rings for owning nine based on fully charged batteries for
- 1:03:46Speaker 4: comparison purpose only. Actual rings will vary based on several factors.
- 1:03:50Speaker 10: All right, Steve, come on, let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:03:54Speaker 10: The subject is my mama versus my wife wo versus.
- 1:04:00Speaker 7: My wife Tyler.
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: This letter should be Mama's boy trying to be a
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: hoosban and it's not going to work. And the reason
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: is not going to work is because the things that
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: you are doing for your mother is taking away time
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: from stuff you could be doing with and for your wife.
- 1:04:24Speaker 7: Now you open up the letter correctly. I see now
- 1:04:26Speaker 7: why you said this.
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: I met my wife four years ago, and I've been
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: sneaking around behind her back since I met her. Oh,
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: I ain't been cheating. I'm sure that's what you're thinking.
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: But I've been seeing my mama.
- 1:04:37Speaker 7: On the side. Right there.
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: That's the whole letter right there. I'm glad you said that,
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: because see that's what's wrong. Do you know something, young man,
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: that you are really actually seeing your mama on the side.
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: You know, I ain't never I've never ever in my
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: life heard a man say that I'm seeing my mama
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: on the side. I've been sneaking around behind my wife's
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: back with my mama. I've been I've been seeing my
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: mama on the side.
- 1:05:09Speaker 7: But do you know how that sound that don't sound
- 1:05:13Speaker 7: what's the word of that don't sound right?
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: Kind of got a little incense tone any And I'm
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: just saying it just got a little incense tone, any dog,
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: that's this this letter. And then you go on to
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: justify what you've been doing. I explained that my dad
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: passed away in twenty twenty and you wanted to step
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: up make sure your mama's good. Now, your girl understood
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: that didn't beginning because she big on family too. But
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: a few weeks in the day and she told me
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: she hates mama's boys because she saw it coming. She
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: had a feeling and you have not let her down.
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: So you knew you wanted to marry this woman. So
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: you started down playing everything you did for your mama.
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: And then here we go. I lied about taking my
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: mama to dinner, taking her to the movies, and shopping
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: with her for hours on the weekend.
- 1:06:04Speaker 7: My girl thought I was out to gym or doing
- 1:06:06Speaker 7: yard work or whatever other lie. I told her. She
- 1:06:09Speaker 7: trusted me and never questioned me. Hey, man, what you
- 1:06:14Speaker 7: take your mama to dinner?
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: You go to movies with your mama, and you spend
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: hours on the weekend shopping with her. That's why you
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: said you seeing your mama on the side, because that's
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: what you're doing.
- 1:06:27Speaker 7: Man, demn me.
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: Girl met your mamma and they started hanging out for
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: the wed and I knew I was in trouble. Mama
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: told her about a movie we saw together. My girl
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: been asked me to see that movie with her. I
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: told her my mama had it wrong and never saw
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: that movie with her, and I had to go back
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: to the movies with my girl.
- 1:06:44Speaker 7: To see it again. Now that we been married for foremost,
- 1:06:47Speaker 7: it's hard to sneak out to see my mom. Boy,
- 1:06:49Speaker 7: what what's wrong with you? You hear how you sound?
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: Now that we been married, it's hard to sneak out
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: and see my mom. I can't hide how much my
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: mama calls me, and I can't explain why I facetied
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: my mom. So I'm like, man, boy, hey man, your
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: marriage is doomed. Your marriage is doomed because you you
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: really all see in your mama. And I've never heard
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: another man say that I'm seeing my mama on the side.
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: But that's what you're doing.
- 1:07:17Speaker 7: Man. I'm the youngest, and I'm her favorite son. I
- 1:07:23Speaker 7: was my mama's youngest.
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: I thought I was her favorite son. But me and
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: my mama wasn't dating. I ain't never my life to
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: my mom to move. Come on, let me and you
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: go down to the movie. I mean, it's okay if
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: you did it for your mama every now and then
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: or something like that. Ain't nothing wrong with take your
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: mama to dinner. Ain't nothing wrong with that, Ain't no
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: running wrong with take you I used to take my
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: mama shopping all the time. But you dog, I'm scared
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: and then and then and she didn't guess what I'd
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: love for her to live with us? Boy, you done
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: lost your line. You want to move your mama in
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: your house?
- 1:08:08Speaker 7: Boy? What's wrong with you? What am I supposed to do?
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: And I could tell I'm scared to ask my wife
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: because I can tell since that she's tired of mama. Yeah,
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: she tired of your mama. It's sick and tired of
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: your mama. I'm tired of your mama. I ain't never
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: met her. Problem is you seeing your mama on the side. Brother,
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: let me explain something to you. There's no solution to this.
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: You will not be married to this woman law because
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: guess what she is going to find out about all this?
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: And I'm gonna tell you why. Because as soon as
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: the mama thank you that came between you and her,
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: the mama gonna.
- 1:08:53Speaker 7: Get rid of you.
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: The mama is gonna get rid of him.
- 1:08:57Speaker 3: You're saying, the mama go get rid of her.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: Oh, oh, the wife.
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: As soon as she find out that you the reason.
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: He ain't coming buy no more. He ain't calling, he
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: ain't going to dinner, he ain't doing now because she
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: done married the wrong man because you ain't her man.
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: You your mama's boy. That's why she hates and that
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: is more important to you than anything. And until you
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: put your wife first, as the Bible says, leave all
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: others and cleave only onto her.
- 1:09:37Speaker 7: Well, bro, you gotta twisted man. Good luck, man, This
- 1:09:39Speaker 7: ain't gonna work. Ain't married. About two years from now,
- 1:09:42Speaker 7: write me back. Let me know where you're living at now?
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: Where is his siblings?
- 1:09:47Speaker 7: Where are they? They ain't got nothing to do with this.
- 1:09:51Speaker 7: They cool because he ain't got to worry about nothing.
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: Yeah, ain't nothing to.
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: Help, all right.

- 1:23:35Speaker 7: Well, if you cut it.
- 1:23:35Speaker 2: But you still got to do some more work because
- 1:23:37Speaker 2: even when you cut him, he can still hit you.
- 1:23:39Speaker 2: If I throw a if I throw a tile on
- 1:23:42Speaker 2: top of that snake, I'm winning. I can assure you.
- 1:23:47Speaker 2: If you cut a snake in half, he's still coming,
- 1:23:50Speaker 2: and he's still biting, he's still poisonings.
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: He's still alive.
- 1:23:54Speaker 2: If you cut a snake's head off, you better stay
- 1:23:58Speaker 2: away from the head of that snake.

- 1:25:17Speaker 10: All right, guys, here we are, last break of the day,
- 1:25:19Speaker 10: last break of the week. Junior, you had a question
- 1:25:23Speaker 10: for c before we get out of here.
- 1:25:25Speaker 11: Yeah, Unc, you know, Uncle, you do so many different things.
- 1:25:28Speaker 11: But why why is so much of this that you do, Uncle,
- 1:25:31Speaker 11: about other people? You never seen to put yourself first.
- 1:25:34Speaker 11: You do a lot of service for a lot of people,
- 1:25:35Speaker 11: and why is that so important to you?
- 1:25:37Speaker 7: You do put it well because at first I don't
- 1:25:39Speaker 7: know if you can watch it or not.
- 1:25:41Speaker 2: I see God, ignore him, Junior, don't that's why he

- 1:25:57Speaker 2: Mister Miles, Oh God, what is? It's a couple of reasons.
- 1:26:08Speaker 2: First of all, God blesses you to become a blessing
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: it is. And then the more you do for others,
- 1:26:19Speaker 2: the more God will do for you. I absolutely have
- 1:26:23Speaker 2: no fear of ever losing it all again because I've
- 1:26:29Speaker 2: been trying to bank so much.
- 1:26:31Speaker 7: Good will towards other people.
- 1:26:34Speaker 2: I plant so many seeds in the ground that I
- 1:26:38Speaker 2: forget about, knowing and hoping that they will sprout down
- 1:26:43Speaker 2: the road and God will do something for me. And
- 1:26:46Speaker 2: then when I do stuff for other people, I don't
- 1:26:48Speaker 2: look for my reward from them. I look to my
- 1:26:52Speaker 2: heavenly Father for my reward. If I give a person
- 1:26:56Speaker 2: some money, I don't ask for it back. You don't
- 1:26:58Speaker 2: have a very unique thing did I do? Whenever I
- 1:27:01Speaker 2: go to bass Pro shop, if I'm in line and
- 1:27:04Speaker 2: I see somebody with me back there in line, I
- 1:27:07Speaker 2: pay for their stuff because I watch dudes, man, all
- 1:27:11Speaker 2: the time, they fishing, They trying to figure out which
- 1:27:13Speaker 2: one of these lures to buy, and they to be
- 1:27:15Speaker 2: debating for They drop it in they basket because I know, man,
- 1:27:19Speaker 2: like you know, they got to make a decision. Then
- 1:27:22Speaker 2: they get up to the counter and I see them
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: a little apprehensive, and I just take care of it
- 1:27:27Speaker 2: for him. If I you know, if when I used
- 1:27:29Speaker 2: to go to grocery stores, you know, I used to
- 1:27:32Speaker 2: pay for people stuff. Like I had to go to
- 1:27:34Speaker 2: Walmart for something and some people was in line. I
- 1:27:37Speaker 2: just pay for some people's stuff. Now I'm not gonna
- 1:27:40Speaker 2: try to find them people and go, hey, remember this
- 1:27:42Speaker 2: time I did.
- 1:27:42Speaker 7: This for you.
- 1:27:44Speaker 2: No, man, I let God mark that down. I let
- 1:27:48Speaker 2: God mark that down, And in return, what God has
- 1:27:52Speaker 2: done for me. He's made me a lender and not
- 1:27:56Speaker 2: a borrower. See, I'd rather people be asking me for
- 1:28:00Speaker 2: money than to me to have to ask for money.
- 1:28:03Speaker 2: I'd rather be that person.
- 1:28:04Speaker 7: Now. I know it get on your nerves sometimes, or
- 1:28:07Speaker 7: here they come again. But ain't you glad?
- 1:28:10Speaker 3: It?
- 1:28:10Speaker 7: Ain't you having to come again?
- 1:28:12Speaker 8: You know.
- 1:28:13Speaker 2: It's a lot of things, man, And then you have
- 1:28:15Speaker 2: to understand. You have to get to a point in
- 1:28:17Speaker 2: your life where you understand your purpose. I say this
- 1:28:20Speaker 2: one hundred times. Your career is what you paid for,
- 1:28:22Speaker 2: but your calling is what you made for. And you
- 1:28:25Speaker 2: got to understand your calling. God didn't make me this way.
- 1:28:31Speaker 2: God didn't give me all this provision. God didn't give
- 1:28:35Speaker 2: me all this notoriety so I could just be famous. No, man,
- 1:28:40Speaker 2: what's the purpose for it? If you ask, most people
- 1:28:45Speaker 2: who are spiritual about their fame, there's an underlying current
- 1:28:51Speaker 2: behind it that it has driven them to take a
- 1:28:55Speaker 2: portion of their prosperity to make a way for others.
- 1:29:00Speaker 7: People will do that.
- 1:29:01Speaker 2: You hear about people giving tens of millions to charity, Well, okay,
- 1:29:06Speaker 2: you know, I get it. I get it.
- 1:29:09Speaker 7: It helps it helps some people. You get it right
- 1:29:14Speaker 7: off for it and all like that.
- 1:29:15Speaker 2: That's that's cool too, But the idea is to help somebody, man,
- 1:29:20Speaker 2: That's that's the problem.
- 1:29:23Speaker 7: I don't want to go down that road.
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: I don't.
- 1:29:25Speaker 7: I don't.
- 1:29:25Speaker 2: I don't care about politics because I'm starting to get
- 1:29:28Speaker 2: very unpolitical as I get older, because I'm starting to
- 1:29:32Speaker 2: understand it all. There's two parties in this country, and
- 1:29:36Speaker 2: they hold the line no matter what happens, even when
- 1:29:39Speaker 2: they're wrong. They hold the line. The Republicans hold the
- 1:29:43Speaker 2: line even when they're wrong. But the Democrats hold the
- 1:29:48Speaker 2: line even when they're wrong. Even if one side there's
- 1:29:54Speaker 2: something that's kind of cool or correct the other one's position,
- 1:30:00Speaker 2: it's always to oppose it. You know, Man, what happened
- 1:30:03Speaker 2: to that thing called bipartisanship. Remember you hear people talking
- 1:30:06Speaker 2: about this is a bipartisan bill. This is something that
- 1:30:10Speaker 2: can be agreed upon on both sides of the hour.
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: What hass that?
- 1:30:14Speaker 2: Because I ain't seen it of late, I ain't seen
- 1:30:16Speaker 2: it in a long time. I ain't seen it since
- 1:30:18Speaker 2: Obama got in office. I ain't seen nothing bipartisans since
- 1:30:22Speaker 2: Obama got in office. Man, I have yet to see
- 1:30:26Speaker 2: Congress and the Senate, Republican Democrats agree on anything because
- 1:30:31Speaker 2: it's about power, position and money all the time. But you,
- 1:30:38Speaker 2: as a person should pull yourself back from politics and
- 1:30:45Speaker 2: party and just do the right thing. That's why I
- 1:30:50Speaker 2: don't care nothing about politics, because I want to do
- 1:30:52Speaker 2: the right thing. What I choose to do with the
- 1:30:55Speaker 2: Steven Marjory Harvey Foundation is the right thing to do
- 1:31:00Speaker 2: when I'm growing crops on my farm, organic foods, and
- 1:31:03Speaker 2: just a month ago gave away over eight hundred pounds
- 1:31:07Speaker 2: of vegetables free to people. Do you know I still
- 1:31:10Speaker 2: get pushback from that. You're not supposed to have a
- 1:31:13Speaker 2: guarden that close to the road. Man, y'all got all
- 1:31:16Speaker 2: types of stuff in this white neighborhood that's close to
- 1:31:19Speaker 2: the road. You ain't said nothing to them. And with
- 1:31:22Speaker 2: Chick fil A on the place, you didn't say he
- 1:31:23Speaker 2: could do whatever he wanted to do. But every time
- 1:31:25Speaker 2: I try to do something, here comes some crazy counseling,
- 1:31:29Speaker 2: some pushback. Man, I'm gonna do what God tell me
- 1:31:33Speaker 2: to do, and that ain't nothing I can do about it,
- 1:31:37Speaker 2: and you slowly find it out there's nothing you can
- 1:31:39Speaker 2: do about it.
- 1:31:40Speaker 7: I would stop going against God if I was.
- 1:31:42Speaker 2: You, that's what I would do. I don't know why
- 1:31:44Speaker 2: I turned it into that, but I did. Those are
- 1:31:46Speaker 2: my clothes remarks. Why because they mind? Why because it's
- 1:31:49Speaker 2: my show. This is Steve al morn Show. Feel how
- 1:31:52Speaker 2: you wanna feel. I'm giving away some more free stuff
- 1:31:54Speaker 2: there a couple of weeks too. Thousand pounds is to go.
