- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time. I
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a sun giving them like the
- 0:15Speaker 1: million buck things in it to be good to mother, Please,
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join join me. You gotta do that. Turn
- 1:10Speaker 1: you you you gotta turn to turn them out. Turn
- 1:43Speaker 1: you haven't got to turn them out to turn turn
- 1:46Speaker 1: the water the water go. Come come on your thing,
- 2:01Speaker 1: I shore will good morning everybody you are listening to
- 2:05Speaker 1: the voice, Come on dig me naw one and only
- 2:08Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man, oh man, oh man.
- 2:15Speaker 1: You know what y'all. I mean, really, the goodness of
- 2:17Speaker 1: God is overwhelming if you think about it. I mean,
- 2:22Speaker 1: really really think about it, even when your circumstance doesn't
- 2:27Speaker 1: look so bright, even when you're going through something that's
- 2:31Speaker 1: causing you discomfort, pain, Even in that, God's goodness is
- 2:39Speaker 1: actually overwhelming because don't forget why you're going through this moment.
- 2:46Speaker 1: First of all, this too shall pass. But also secondly,
- 2:49Speaker 1: remember man, ain't everything else that you've gone through that
- 2:54Speaker 1: seems so insurmountable at the time, didn't you get past
- 2:58Speaker 1: that too? I mean, it's amazing. If you really think
- 3:03Speaker 1: about it, you don't get stuck on any one issue
- 3:07Speaker 1: your whole life. The only people that get stuck on
- 3:10Speaker 1: an issue they whole life is people who won't let
- 3:13Speaker 1: it go. That's really all it is. That are people
- 3:17Speaker 1: who exist, and you may be one of them. Oh please, No,
- 3:21Speaker 1: I've been guilty of it myself before. But I learned
- 3:24Speaker 1: something that are things in my past that I just
- 3:28Speaker 1: would not let go of. It was done, it was
- 3:32Speaker 1: over with, I was past it, but I would not
- 3:36Speaker 1: let go of it. It was over. The dude that
- 3:40Speaker 1: did it to me didn't exist no more. The problem
- 3:42Speaker 1: that it created didn't exist no more. The only problem
- 3:45Speaker 1: that kept hanging on was I would not let it go.
- 3:50Speaker 1: And man, you can't go forward if you're gonna keep
- 3:54Speaker 1: looking in the past. It's an impossible thing. It's like
- 3:58Speaker 1: driving a car. If you keep looking only in the
- 4:02Speaker 1: rearview mirror while you're driving, you're going to crash pretty soon.
- 4:07Speaker 1: And a lot of people just keep crashing over and
- 4:10Speaker 1: over and over and over because you won't drive your
- 4:14Speaker 1: car you keep looking in the rearview mirror at to pass.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Oh woe is me? Oh you know they did me
- 4:21Speaker 1: like that. You know I ain't been the same since
- 4:23Speaker 1: he cheated on me. Oh man, ever since she stole
- 4:26Speaker 1: my money, I ain't been the same man she played
- 4:30Speaker 1: me and ever since that out and treated women differently.
- 4:33Speaker 1: You may have some deeper stuff going on, like but eventually,
- 4:36Speaker 1: guess what, do you understand that when you have relationship
- 4:40Speaker 1: God with God, you can take that to him too
- 4:43Speaker 1: and drop it off and leave it there. Do you
- 4:47Speaker 1: know that he can fix and heal that. Maybe it's
- 4:50Speaker 1: something serious like that that you need fixing or healing from,
- 4:54Speaker 1: a relationship with God can fix and heal that. But man,
- 5:00Speaker 1: I'm on y'all whatever it is, and I'm not trying
- 5:03Speaker 1: to downplay it or make it act like it wasn't
- 5:06Speaker 1: traumatic in your life, because, oh God, you don't want
- 5:08Speaker 1: to you know, you don't want nobody do that to
- 5:10Speaker 1: you because you want to be the you know, the
- 5:13Speaker 1: post to child for misery. So please don't let me
- 5:16Speaker 1: take that from you. If that's your position, that's your
- 5:20Speaker 1: Hall of Fame card. You hanging on too. I'm the
- 5:23Speaker 1: poster to child for misery. Oh no, one is more
- 5:26Speaker 1: woe than me. Then please don't let Steve try to
- 5:30Speaker 1: take that from you. You go a head and hang
- 5:32Speaker 1: on to that. But let me tell you something though.
- 5:35Speaker 1: If that's what you're gonna hang on to, that's what
- 5:37Speaker 1: you're gonna always be the poster child for misery. At
- 5:41Speaker 1: one point in time, you're gonna have to get on
- 5:42Speaker 1: the move past it. You can sometimes, man, it's merely
- 5:46Speaker 1: a simple thing of taking it to God and leaving
- 5:48Speaker 1: it there. You know, some people don't have money for therapy.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Some people don't even know who to call for therapy.
- 5:56Speaker 1: God is the best psychologist in the world. He can
- 6:00Speaker 1: fix it for you. There is nothing too hard for God.
- 6:04Speaker 1: You know when something seems impossible, y'all? God does the
- 6:07Speaker 1: impossible all the time every day. You don't know how
- 6:11Speaker 1: I know. I just look at a couple of basic things.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Do you know that that sun comes up every day
- 6:16Speaker 1: in the morning. It comes up in the east and
- 6:19Speaker 1: it sets in the west. You can't do nothing about that.
- 6:23Speaker 1: All you can wish because you plant your flowers on
- 6:26Speaker 1: a certain side of your house. You can wishya all
- 6:28Speaker 1: you want. Then maybe one day he would bring it
- 6:30Speaker 1: up out the northwest so those flowers would nap. Now
- 6:34Speaker 1: it's gonna come up out the ease, and once the
- 6:37Speaker 1: sun hits the horizon, when you look in the water.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Like if you ever out in la and you see
- 6:42Speaker 1: the sun going down once the sun once you can
- 6:44Speaker 1: visually see the sun touching the horizon, you have three minutes.
- 6:50Speaker 1: You have exactly three minutes. You can sit there with
- 6:52Speaker 1: your watch. You can time you're three minutes and it's gone.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Three minutes. It's gone. I read that somewhere and then
- 6:59Speaker 1: I went and tried it. It's gone every day if
- 7:03Speaker 1: if it's clear enough, not cloudy. Once the sun touches
- 7:07Speaker 1: the horizon on water, you got three minutes. When the
- 7:11Speaker 1: wind blows, you can't do nothing about it. He can
- 7:14Speaker 1: bring it from the northeast. He can bring it from
- 7:16Speaker 1: the west, he can bring from the south. He can
- 7:18Speaker 1: bring it hard, he can bring it cool, he can
- 7:20Speaker 1: bring it hot. It's certain things that God, God does
- 7:23Speaker 1: the impossible all the time. How those stars sitting up there?
- 7:27Speaker 1: How how can you find these constellations? The big dip
- 7:30Speaker 1: of a little dip of Ryan the Hunter. Oh that's
- 7:33Speaker 1: God's got nothing you can do about it. You can't
- 7:35Speaker 1: reach them stars, you can't shoot at them, you can't
- 7:38Speaker 1: move them out the way, or Ryan the Hunter's belt,
- 7:41Speaker 1: it's gonna beat them. Three stars out of angle. You can,
- 7:43Speaker 1: you can, you can call it what you want to call.
- 7:44Speaker 1: It's still that's what it is. See, He does the
- 7:47Speaker 1: impossible all the time. He created heaven and Earth. You're
- 7:51Speaker 1: saying that God can't get you through your past. Somebody
- 7:55Speaker 1: did this to me. It's the worst thing I had,
- 7:58Speaker 1: the worst childhood of anybod. God can't get you pass that.
- 8:02Speaker 1: He can move heaven, mountains, Earth, he can form the
- 8:06Speaker 1: Grand Canyon, he can make the water come over Niagara
- 8:09Speaker 1: Falls twenty four seven. He can't fix your little bitty
- 8:14Speaker 1: pass yours. It's amazing how people make their problems bigger
- 8:19Speaker 1: than God. Somebody told me one time, stop telling God
- 8:24Speaker 1: how big your problems are, and start telling your problems
- 8:29Speaker 1: how big God is, and go on with your life.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Quit driving your car looking in the rear view mirror.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Ain't nothing back there but your pass. And if it
- 8:39Speaker 1: was hurtful or painful, or something you just felt like
- 8:43Speaker 1: you can't get over, take your problems to God and
- 8:46Speaker 1: leave them there. You hear the old spiritual all you've
- 8:48Speaker 1: heard it, take your burdens to the Lord, leave them
- 8:52Speaker 1: yet all time. But you think that applies to everyone.
- 8:55Speaker 1: But you come on, man a lot of people out
- 8:59Speaker 1: there going through much worse than you have and have
- 9:01Speaker 1: overcome it all. Why won't you take the step to
- 9:05Speaker 1: overcome your pass so you can get on with driving
- 9:07Speaker 1: your can see what God trying to take you. But
- 9:10Speaker 1: it's the trick of the enemy. The enemy tricks you
- 9:13Speaker 1: from seeing your future by having you constantly looking in
- 9:17Speaker 1: your pass. Man, it's a trick of the devil. If
- 9:20Speaker 1: the devil just lets you quit, if he would just
- 9:23Speaker 1: let you get to driving your car, look out intil
- 9:26Speaker 1: your future. Your future shows hopefulness. You have hope when
- 9:31Speaker 1: you see the future. But he can keep you in
- 9:34Speaker 1: misery if he keep you looking at your miserable pass.
- 9:38Speaker 1: God looking for you, man, God would love to hear
- 9:41Speaker 1: from you. Let's spend some time talking to God today. Hey,
- 9:45Speaker 1: God was happening. It's me. I know I ain't talk
- 9:49Speaker 1: to you in a while, but feel bad about that.
- 9:51Speaker 1: But I need you. He know that. Everybody should say
- 9:55Speaker 1: that prayer all the time. It's cool, all right, sa,
- 10:03Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. You know what it's here, Steve, what
- 10:06Speaker 1: you're talking about? It's here? What morning? God gave us
- 10:13Speaker 1: another morning? How you not? You will get you joy
- 10:17Speaker 1: in that I do not gonna miss it, man, so
- 10:20Speaker 1: appreciate it. God. Another day, another opportunity. The sun is
- 10:25Speaker 1: starting to rise and I'm here for it. And even
- 10:30Speaker 1: though I made sixty five trips around the sun, the
- 10:35Speaker 1: excitement that I get from seeing it rise in the morning,
- 10:40Speaker 1: it never gets old. Man, It don't ever get old.
- 10:46Speaker 1: You know. They say I'm getting old, But seeing that
- 10:49Speaker 1: sun come over it don't ever get old. Yeah, thank
- 10:52Speaker 1: God for that. Sherley Strawberry callin for real. Mouth of
- 10:54Speaker 1: the South, Junior Ball better known Kills Fads and Me
- 10:59Speaker 1: Junior one. Something. What's up uncle? Man? Morning? Everybody? Uh unc,
- 11:03Speaker 1: let's talk about it. Man, Like you said, those sixty
- 11:05Speaker 1: five tips around the sun end up sixty five years
- 11:08Speaker 1: we have been your top three keys to having a
- 11:11Speaker 1: successful life. Not in this order, okay, But my ability
- 11:22Speaker 1: to dream has been key, my work ethic has been key,
- 11:31Speaker 1: and at the top of the list, my faith has
- 11:36Speaker 1: been the key. Those three things have been really the
- 11:43Speaker 1: cornerstone of my existence and how it has enabled me
- 11:47Speaker 1: to make it around the way I have and and
- 11:52Speaker 1: and and by the grace of God, finally, after years
- 11:57Speaker 1: and years of struggle and all of this and he Man,
- 12:03Speaker 1: I became something but purely because of God's grace and favor.
- 12:09Speaker 1: And so I would just have to say my ability
- 12:12Speaker 1: to dream, my work, ethic, and my faith has been
- 12:15Speaker 1: at the cornerstone of everything. I don't uh. I was
- 12:20Speaker 1: having a conversation with a guy the other day, Man,
- 12:22Speaker 1: I had so many conversations in the Bahamash And as
- 12:28Speaker 1: a matter of fact, it's just one of the one
- 12:31Speaker 1: really really cool places. And I had forgotten that we're
- 12:34Speaker 1: on the air in the Bahamas, you know, I forgot that.
- 12:40Speaker 1: But man, it's it's special. It's special to some of
- 12:46Speaker 1: the people here, and I met some really great people.
- 12:49Speaker 1: And I've been having some motivational talks with people, even
- 12:55Speaker 1: though I do it unintentionally, that I become known to
- 13:03Speaker 1: a lot of people as a motivator, a motivational speaker.
- 13:07Speaker 1: And it's sort of funny, man, because one of my
- 13:10Speaker 1: missions and things that I saw myself becoming was to
- 13:14Speaker 1: become one of the top motivational speakers in the world,
- 13:18Speaker 1: but not from a paid standpoint, right, And I just
- 13:23Speaker 1: didn't know how to accomplish but accomplish it. But I'd
- 13:26Speaker 1: invested hunt a God and found a way by making
- 13:29Speaker 1: videos go viral and all that stuff that I ain't
- 13:31Speaker 1: even know they were shooting. So well skin Praise God.
- 13:35Speaker 1: And then to that thank you coming up at thirty
- 13:39Speaker 1: two minutes after the hour, Junior in for the nephew
- 13:42Speaker 1: to run that prank back. Right after this you're listening
- 13:45Speaker 1: to show it is time now to start your morning
- 13:49Speaker 1: off with run that prank back, and Junior is in
- 13:53Speaker 1: for the nephew. Junior, what you got? Oh, surely you
- 13:56Speaker 1: can see it in them sometimes they be having it.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Day's run that prankback is a Jezebel spirit. Oh my god,
- 14:06Speaker 1: Jezebel spirit. Come hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach a
- 14:12Speaker 1: sister Alicia. Alright, alright, alright, you may not know my voice,
- 14:18Speaker 1: but I'm sure you probably know me if you saw me.
- 14:19Speaker 1: But I'm brother Greg at the church. Okay, all right,
- 14:22Speaker 1: how are you doing. I'm good, I'm good. I'm sorry
- 14:26Speaker 1: to disturb your evening. I wanted to reach out to
- 14:29Speaker 1: you the you know, the workers at the church. We
- 14:33Speaker 1: had a meeting, uh, a lot of the deacons and
- 14:37Speaker 1: the sisters at the church they have come to had
- 14:43Speaker 1: a meeting and I wanted to give you a call.
- 14:47Speaker 1: Melanie Melanie. That's that's that's your sister, right, yeah, that's
- 14:52Speaker 1: my sister. Okay, all right, well now we got a
- 14:57Speaker 1: bit of a problem, but they felt it would be
- 15:00Speaker 1: best for me to call you and discuss it with
- 15:04Speaker 1: you and and let you know what the uh you
- 15:07Speaker 1: know what they have agreed upon. I'm just basically the
- 15:10Speaker 1: messenger and I'm just calling you to give you the
- 15:12Speaker 1: word of what's going on. Okay, right, yeah, brother greed,
- 15:17Speaker 1: brig agreed. Uh your wife Ali right, uh yeah yeah,
- 15:24Speaker 1: life yeah, okay, okay, I know, I think I know, yeah, okay, okay,
- 15:28Speaker 1: all right. Well, like I said, Sister Alicia, what the
- 15:32Speaker 1: officials of the church are saying is that they they're
- 15:35Speaker 1: saying that they have reason to believe that your sister
- 15:40Speaker 1: has been having an affair with with pastors and uh,
- 15:46Speaker 1: my sister, your sister Melanie. They saying she's having it
- 15:52Speaker 1: and having a fair with having an affair with pastor
- 15:57Speaker 1: at Now I'm, like I said, I'm just the messenger. Okay,
- 16:00Speaker 1: So why are y'all calling me about something Melody doing
- 16:04Speaker 1: well have to do with me? Like I said, the
- 16:08Speaker 1: officials had a meeting, and what they're saying is this
- 16:12Speaker 1: is nothing but a jezzer bear spirit and what they
- 16:17Speaker 1: are not Wait, wait, wait a minute now, now you
- 16:19Speaker 1: being rude. Now come on, and oh, okay, I'm gonna
- 16:24Speaker 1: hear yet. Now you're just hear me out. Now they're
- 16:27Speaker 1: saying that this is a jezzer bear spirit and they
- 16:30Speaker 1: would rather all of the family not be welcome at
- 16:38Speaker 1: the church anymore. Okay, first of all, why are you
- 16:42Speaker 1: delivering a message to me about my sister? If you
- 16:45Speaker 1: have a problem with my sister, seems like you will
- 16:49Speaker 1: be calling my sister. Now we two steps of people.
- 16:51Speaker 1: So why are you calling me about my sister? About
- 16:55Speaker 1: a rumor? And now you say y'all don't want me
- 17:00Speaker 1: in the church. That is that what you're saying? Brother,
- 17:05Speaker 1: entire some family. So if you got some brothers, sisters,
- 17:10Speaker 1: aunt team, they wan't because they ever deadly. All of
- 17:13Speaker 1: the ladies in the comes of fact must have some
- 17:15Speaker 1: type of Jezebel's spirit of no, no, they don't and
- 17:18Speaker 1: they don't want to Wait wait, wait, wait a minute. Now,
- 17:21Speaker 1: you just like I said, now, be be mindful who
- 17:24Speaker 1: you're speaking to. Calling somebody or Jezebel. What you can't
- 17:31Speaker 1: do is called somebody and accuse somebody and then call
- 17:34Speaker 1: them a derogatory word. Come on, somebody a Jezebel and
- 17:38Speaker 1: a Jezebel. Now you being rude, sir. It's a Jezebel's
- 17:43Speaker 1: spirits what they were saying. Okay, they's got to be
- 17:46Speaker 1: the most asternine, foolish And that's I've ever heard of
- 17:49Speaker 1: my life. Who done that? Who are you to call me?
- 17:54Speaker 1: Don't ask me no like that. You're calling me all
- 17:56Speaker 1: like some hoosh like who who to hell called? Got
- 17:59Speaker 1: a as a bell? Still? That's what I calling somebody. Kids,
- 18:01Speaker 1: I'm like, you got a bad ass kid? Did your
- 18:03Speaker 1: mama have a Jezebel spit? Don't wait wait a minute,
- 18:06Speaker 1: I'm just did your mama? Does your red little sit
- 18:10Speaker 1: where I'm wife? Out of Jezebel's spirit, I'm asking you
- 18:14Speaker 1: and wook your ass? That's what's gonna happen. You're gonna
- 18:17Speaker 1: mess around and get your ass up and get drawn
- 18:19Speaker 1: through the damn pool, pitch around with the top well
- 18:22Speaker 1: as a right now, the family can't come to the church.
- 18:26Speaker 1: You think we want to be around a church that
- 18:28Speaker 1: got people call fro asking me, I sholl damn, I
- 18:31Speaker 1: do I have a Jezebel. Still you never answered the
- 18:36Speaker 1: question do you have one? I might have a rain
- 18:39Speaker 1: had spirit. Now you know she was a good man
- 18:42Speaker 1: of Bible. Now I've been a remember this damn church
- 18:44Speaker 1: for the last eight year, and I don't pay plenty
- 18:46Speaker 1: tides to this damned church and its attack the fable
- 18:50Speaker 1: with me? Do help that have a problem with me?
- 18:54Speaker 1: Just Alicia? Yeah? Uh huh. Let me say this. I'm
- 18:58Speaker 1: gonna be go ahead. First of all, before you see
- 19:00Speaker 1: another damn work for me, you need to apologize and
- 19:03Speaker 1: speak to look like you got something. Just okay? Can
- 19:06Speaker 1: I say this? Go ahead? Go ahead, I apologize. Okay,
- 19:11Speaker 1: I apologize because this is nephew Tommy from the Steve
- 19:15Speaker 1: Harby Morning Show. And you just got franked by your
- 19:19Speaker 1: sister Melanie. I'm gonna kick y'all off hill. And no,
- 19:29Speaker 1: that was right. If I was that was a good
- 19:32Speaker 1: for you. Yeah, got Melanie asked for dad. I don't
- 19:38Speaker 1: know who the lady is in the choir with the
- 19:40Speaker 1: red live sticker one day. I have no idea, all right,
- 19:47Speaker 1: no je a bell spirits, none of that. We all right,
- 19:50Speaker 1: Maybe maybe your ray half, like I said, maybe your
- 19:53Speaker 1: ray half because you're gonna even more than one biblem
- 19:56Speaker 1: she did good work for the kingdom, because you know
- 19:58Speaker 1: I wasn't work for the kingdom. I'm been a long time. Now. Wait,
- 20:04Speaker 1: do you know what over? Oh? God love church people.
- 20:12Speaker 1: I love church people. Hey, let me ask yourself. What
- 20:15Speaker 1: is the baddest radio show with the laying show Dadia
- 20:22Speaker 1: Shirlett Jeesubel spirit. Some women have it. You can see
- 20:27Speaker 1: it fall things they've been doing. Wait, she's walking. That's
- 20:30Speaker 1: a Jezebel spirit there walk. Yeah, she's speaking, that's a
- 20:36Speaker 1: Jezebeth spear. All right, Junior, thank you. Coming up next,
- 20:45Speaker 1: and it's asked the CLO Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey
- 20:49Speaker 1: in the building ready for your love questions. Right after this,
- 20:53Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at
- 20:57Speaker 1: the top of the hour. In entertainment news, kind West
- 21:00Speaker 1: is at it again. He put everyone on blast this time,
- 21:04Speaker 1: and doctor dre and Barack Obama both won. Emmy's also
- 21:09Speaker 1: Scottie Pippen's ex wife was seen out with Michael Jordan's son,
- 21:13Speaker 1: Marcus Jordan. We'll talk about all of these stories, figure
- 21:17Speaker 1: out what's going on there. At the time of the hour,
- 21:21Speaker 1: for right now, right now, it's time to add the clo. Yeah,
- 21:28Speaker 1: he probably won't be happy with that, all right. This
- 21:32Speaker 1: is Angie from Connecticut. Angie writes, my manager passed out
- 21:36Speaker 1: at work and paramedics had to open his shirt to
- 21:39Speaker 1: work on him. That's when the whole office saw his
- 21:43Speaker 1: pierced nipples and started joking about them. He has no
- 21:47Speaker 1: idea this happened. I'd tell my boss everything, but my
- 21:52Speaker 1: co workers send an email saying snitches get stitches. Should
- 21:56Speaker 1: I let this go? Yes? What what difference does he know?
- 22:02Speaker 1: Where do they work? I mean, I mean I would
- 22:07Speaker 1: leave it go. What are you gonna tell about him?
- 22:09Speaker 1: You tell him everything? What's what's your position? Quit brown nosing?
- 22:17Speaker 1: Just like the email saying snitches get stitches? But how
- 22:21Speaker 1: would she say that to him, though, Steve? What would
- 22:23Speaker 1: she say? Mister Jacob's gonna have a work with you.
- 22:27Speaker 1: The other thing, I just wanted you to know that
- 22:30Speaker 1: when you passed out, they had to open your shirt. Yeah,
- 22:38Speaker 1: and everybody saw that you had pucings. And that's the
- 22:44Speaker 1: kind of running. And it's horrible the way they talk
- 22:47Speaker 1: about you. And I just don't like it when they're
- 22:50Speaker 1: talking about you. Laughing about how your breath so big
- 22:55Speaker 1: it looked like townholders. And then you had one dude
- 23:04Speaker 1: said one of your hooks is so big they was
- 23:07Speaker 1: pulling you down. You look like you had calves. And
- 23:12Speaker 1: then somebody wrote another email or who's talk about when
- 23:16Speaker 1: they was gonna ask you could they come in and
- 23:18Speaker 1: milk you? And I just told him I didn't like
- 23:21Speaker 1: that time and stuff. Yeah that's how she gonna tell it. Yeah,
- 23:27Speaker 1: that's that's crazy, all right, all right? Yeah, so let's
- 23:32Speaker 1: because I would break it to him different. Hey, dog,
- 23:34Speaker 1: when you fell out at the office, your shirt was over.
- 23:37Speaker 1: Everybody saw them piersons, man, I just want you want
- 23:40Speaker 1: you want a dcup or see when? All right, We're
- 23:45Speaker 1: moving on to Lydia and Memphis. Who says, I'm dating
- 23:50Speaker 1: a man that's a text her and he does not
- 23:53Speaker 1: like talking on the phone. I can't truly connect with
- 23:56Speaker 1: him without meaningful conversations. I need another kind of connect
- 24:00Speaker 1: with him before we have sex. He's thirty seven and
- 24:03Speaker 1: I'm forty. Is this acceptable? It's not. It's acceptable because
- 24:09Speaker 1: it's acceptable if you allow it, right, But if you
- 24:13Speaker 1: don't allow it, kill communication. You know, that's it's really
- 24:20Speaker 1: that simple. Yeah, you can get sex from texting, now, okay,
- 24:28Speaker 1: and you just met him. Wow, okay, so you that's simple. Okay,
- 24:35Speaker 1: it's that easy. Okay, I'm just a text away, not
- 24:41Speaker 1: sex for a text. You know that's your slogan. Yeah,
- 24:46Speaker 1: you might as well have Yeah, yeah, that's crazy, all right,
- 24:53Speaker 1: all right. Dianna in New Mexico says, my boyfriend and
- 24:58Speaker 1: I have been together for six months and we're going
- 25:00Speaker 1: on vacation for Labor Day. He said there was only
- 25:04Speaker 1: one first class ticket and one business class ticket left.
- 25:08Speaker 1: I suggested we sit and coach so we can be together.
- 25:12Speaker 1: He said that won't happen. What's up with him not
- 25:15Speaker 1: wanting to sit by me? Well, I don't think it's
- 25:20Speaker 1: that he don't want to sit by you. I think
- 25:23Speaker 1: coach period. Now, if he gave you the first class
- 25:32Speaker 1: seat and he took the business class seat, yeah that
- 25:35Speaker 1: sounds like a decent offer. But if he's saying I'm
- 25:40Speaker 1: gonna take this first class seat because I'm bigger than
- 25:43Speaker 1: you and you take that business class, that's a little
- 25:47Speaker 1: bit different. See. The only way I would solve that
- 25:50Speaker 1: problem is I have to just pick another flight or
- 25:53Speaker 1: another destination because I get your own plane. Yeah, I don't.
- 25:59Speaker 1: I don't know how of going in. Tell that to
- 26:01Speaker 1: my girl. Uh, we're not gonna fly together, all right?
- 26:06Speaker 1: Excuse me, No, I'm not. I'm not going to coach
- 26:11Speaker 1: fly together. You just have to be a coach. Yeah yeah, no, no, no, no,
- 26:15Speaker 1: no no, no, we're not We're not doing that's not
- 26:19Speaker 1: going to No, not me. I can't be back there
- 26:24Speaker 1: with the masses. That's no protection. We ain't got that
- 26:30Speaker 1: little curtain up there. Nothing. No, you got people in
- 26:35Speaker 1: the front back, They three across sending drinks to seventeen
- 26:39Speaker 1: if excuse me, I know you're sleeping, mister Harvey, but
- 26:44Speaker 1: uh I was wondering. You got some headphones? Yeah, mom,
- 26:53Speaker 1: whole couple dollars. So I watch a movie. Man, Mama,
- 26:57Speaker 1: guess what I'm sit next to. You ain't gonna believe it,
- 26:59Speaker 1: mamah is s see Will you hold my baby? See
- 27:12Speaker 1: right there? Let's was even worse than I thought. Yeah,
- 27:19Speaker 1: let's play family feud, all right? Who we are moving
- 27:25Speaker 1: on last one? Steve qt you got traumatized by that one.
- 27:30Speaker 1: Let's just play family feud on the flight. I open
- 27:35Speaker 1: that exiturday. I'm a fly the rest of the way
- 27:42Speaker 1: out on the wing here, hold out here, all right.
- 27:49Speaker 1: Last one QT in Culver City says, I have a
- 27:51Speaker 1: teenage daughter that has come out of her shell over
- 27:54Speaker 1: the summer and this school year she bought all stiletto
- 27:57Speaker 1: heels and fitted dresses for school. I regret that our
- 28:00Speaker 1: let her go shopping without me, and I don't want
- 28:03Speaker 1: her to be a distraction in class. So how can
- 28:05Speaker 1: I get her to change her style without offending her?
- 28:09Speaker 1: Teenage daughters worried about offending her? H So you're gonna
- 28:14Speaker 1: let your daughter go out the door every morning dressed
- 28:18Speaker 1: as a platter? Teenage daughter? Yeah, you don't want her
- 28:24Speaker 1: to be a distraction, So you're gonna keep your mouth shut.
- 28:27Speaker 1: Where about offending her and let her go out the
- 28:31Speaker 1: door dress like a platter? You're the mama, you know,
- 28:35Speaker 1: do your job at school anyway? They got dressed, got yeah,
- 28:41Speaker 1: do your job? Yeah, be a mama. I can't figure
- 28:45Speaker 1: out which one is the teaching. I don't want to
- 28:47Speaker 1: offend her. Yeah, y'all always trying to be your kids friends.
- 28:52Speaker 1: They have friends friends. Yeah all right, yeah, you can't
- 28:59Speaker 1: worry about that. Mom. Like the cello said, thank you,
- 29:02Speaker 1: Cello coming up at the top of the hour. We'll
- 29:05Speaker 1: have some entertainment news for you. Right after this. You're
- 29:08Speaker 1: listening to the Stave Harvey Morning Show. Okay, So Kanye
- 29:14Speaker 1: West back in the news. Ready to go to war
- 29:16Speaker 1: this time with who you ask? With everyone? With everyone, Kanye,
- 29:22Speaker 1: I mean he's mad at everybody. Kanye, who regularly uses
- 29:25Speaker 1: Instagram to start or extend battles, went after his business
- 29:29Speaker 1: partners his estranged wife Kim Kardashian on Friday morning. In
- 29:34Speaker 1: a sharply worded post, he complained about the schools Kim
- 29:38Speaker 1: has chosen for the couple's children. He complained about Gap
- 29:41Speaker 1: not inviting him to meetings, and about Adida's changing his
- 29:45Speaker 1: easy line without his permission. Kanye also posted a text
- 29:49Speaker 1: exchange with Kim where Kim begged Kanye to stop writing
- 29:53Speaker 1: from my mom. Please tell him to please stop mentioning
- 29:57Speaker 1: my name. I'm almost sixty seven years old, I don't
- 30:00Speaker 1: always feel great and this stresses me to no end.
- 30:04Speaker 1: Well I don't, I don't understand. That was from Chris Jenner.
- 30:07Speaker 1: Kim was writing Kanye to please stop talking about her mom.
- 30:13Speaker 1: Then this is what Chris Jenner had to say. Kim's mom.
- 30:16Speaker 1: Please tell him to stop mentioning my name. I'm almost
- 30:19Speaker 1: sixty seven years old. I don't always feel great and
- 30:22Speaker 1: this stresses me to no end. That's what Chris Jenner,
- 30:26Speaker 1: that's what Kim was asking Kanye to do. Leave her
- 30:29Speaker 1: mom out of it. Okay, but did this phase Kanye? Nope,
- 30:34Speaker 1: he replied. You all don't have say so over my
- 30:38Speaker 1: black children and where they go to school. They will
- 30:41Speaker 1: not do playboy and sex tapes. Tell your Clinton friends
- 30:45Speaker 1: to come get me. I'm here. Wow, somebody needs to go. Yeah.
- 30:50Speaker 1: Who was standing there? Yeah? Kanye? Yeah, Yeah, Well you
- 31:01Speaker 1: don't have a say so when my black children go
- 31:04Speaker 1: to school. That's not true. The mother has a major
- 31:10Speaker 1: say so because the mother has custody. You can have
- 31:17Speaker 1: joint custody, but unless a mother is proven to be
- 31:22Speaker 1: unworthy or unfit, mothers get the upper hand in this deal. Man.
- 31:27Speaker 1: They're nothing to change that. Man. You can't take a
- 31:31Speaker 1: child from a mother who's not unfit. And she seems
- 31:36Speaker 1: to be a great mom, So what what you wanna do?
- 31:40Speaker 1: You know, you cannot like her style and all that,
- 31:42Speaker 1: but that ain't your damn business. Not a tax exchange
- 31:47Speaker 1: where he was trying to put up a schedule where
- 31:49Speaker 1: they would go to school a certain school these two
- 31:52Speaker 1: days a week and then the other three days, and
- 31:54Speaker 1: nobody doing that. Well, Kanye is not famous for education,
- 32:03Speaker 1: no man. The name of the album was college drop
- 32:07Speaker 1: out Man. Yeah, come on, Kanye, you know I wish
- 32:15Speaker 1: you would listen, man, I really do, because he's he's
- 32:18Speaker 1: a really, really talented and good guy. It's just you
- 32:22Speaker 1: gotta quit. You gotta quit when if you think you
- 32:26Speaker 1: know everything, it's hard to listen. It really is. Oh,
- 32:30Speaker 1: it's it's really hard to talk to a person that
- 32:32Speaker 1: I already know. Yeah, I know everything. What can you
- 32:36Speaker 1: tell you? Ever had a person call you for advice
- 32:38Speaker 1: and then after you give it to him, they tell
- 32:40Speaker 1: you what they really gonna do? Uh huh? I stopped people?
- 32:45Speaker 1: Really now, do you know what I do not when
- 32:47Speaker 1: people call me for advice? I said, okay, man, listen
- 32:49Speaker 1: to me before I start this. Did you call me
- 32:52Speaker 1: to listen to me and to take heed from the
- 32:56Speaker 1: years of knowledge and wisdom that I've gained? Or am
- 33:00Speaker 1: I going to waste my time by telling you something?
- 33:03Speaker 1: But you still want to do what you want to
- 33:05Speaker 1: do Because a lot of times people want to call
- 33:08Speaker 1: you and say they want advice when all they really
- 33:11Speaker 1: want to do is run something by you too. Yeah,
- 33:16Speaker 1: they will run it by you now, and then you
- 33:19Speaker 1: might give them another way to look at it, angle
- 33:21Speaker 1: in on it. But they gonna do what they want
- 33:23Speaker 1: to do. When I find that out, I ain't got
- 33:26Speaker 1: no time for advice. Do like you want to do, dog, Yeah,
- 33:30Speaker 1: keep me out of it. Go ahead and do it. Yeah,
- 33:32Speaker 1: all right, right, all right. So the twenty twenty two
- 33:36Speaker 1: Creative Arts Emmys were held this past Saturday. Our Forever
- 33:40Speaker 1: President Barack Obama won the Best Narrator Emmy for his
- 33:44Speaker 1: work on the Netflix documentary series Our Great National Parts.
- 33:48Speaker 1: It was a five parts show which features national parts
- 33:52Speaker 1: from around the world, and it was produced by Barack
- 33:55Speaker 1: and Michelle Obama's production company Higher Ground. Doctor Dre, so
- 34:00Speaker 1: congratulations to President Barack Obama. UM. Also Doctor Dre won

- 34:23Speaker 1: a Variety special Kendrick lam No, I was just saying
- 34:29Speaker 1: because I was going to tell you Kendrick DeMar in
- 34:34Speaker 1: Mansfield Reformatory for rob Ron Kendrick, he exists, Okay, but
- 34:47Speaker 1: I met I. Okay, Thank you so much for clearing
- 34:57Speaker 1: that one up. The late Chadwick bow Man also won
- 35:00Speaker 1: an Emmy posthumously for Outstanding Character Voiceover for the Disney
- 35:04Speaker 1: Plus and Marble Studios animated show What If, for the
- 35:08Speaker 1: voice work for his black panther character to Chala. It
- 35:12Speaker 1: was one of the last projects fort Padwick, who died
- 35:15Speaker 1: in twenty twenty of colon cancer at forty three years old,
- 35:19Speaker 1: and Scottie Pippen will probably be mad about this. There
- 35:22Speaker 1: is a rumor that his ex wife, Larsa Pippen, was
- 35:25Speaker 1: seen at a Miami restaurant with Michael Jordan's son Marcus Jordan.
- 35:30Speaker 1: Now according to TMC, they appeared to be on some
- 35:33Speaker 1: sort of double date with another couple. He's thirty one,
- 35:36Speaker 1: she's forty eight. There you go. What are you doing?
- 35:40Speaker 1: Will Well? You gotta give her credit. She liked Championshields
- 35:46Speaker 1: going up in twenty minutes after the hour, we'll get
- 35:48Speaker 1: a recap of your Labor Day weekend, Steve, it was exciting.
- 35:52Speaker 1: We hear right after this you're listening show. All right,
- 35:58Speaker 1: so Steve, you had a big weekend, your celebrity golf
- 36:01Speaker 1: tournament and the Bahamas and everything, or it wasn't a
- 36:05Speaker 1: celebrity golf tournament, but there were celebrities there. Don't even
- 36:09Speaker 1: try it. Yeah, well I'm just not go ahead, go ahead,
- 36:17Speaker 1: all right, excuse me? Did Cedric the entertainer come here? Yale? Okay? Well,
- 36:27Speaker 1: all right, well what happened? I know you got stories. No,
- 36:31Speaker 1: we had a great time. The tournament was Sunday actually,
- 36:35Speaker 1: and we had a great time there. Um, and we
- 36:40Speaker 1: raised a lot of money. We're on the radio in
- 36:43Speaker 1: the Bahamas, so we scaped. We left a lot of
- 36:46Speaker 1: money on the island. We gave h you're not supposed
- 36:50Speaker 1: to use this term, but I don't know the other one.
- 36:52Speaker 1: So we gave to an orphanage. We gave to uh
- 36:57Speaker 1: uh a shelter, I mean uh company that feeds the
- 37:02Speaker 1: hungry throughout the Muhammas as a huge problem with that. Uh.
- 37:07Speaker 1: They thanked us, and we gave scholarships out to a
- 37:11Speaker 1: school of junior golfers there. So they could stay focus,
- 37:16Speaker 1: and we just had a great time. A boy said,
- 37:18Speaker 1: came down. Him and his wife were celebrating their twenty
- 37:21Speaker 1: third anniversary. Had a good time to dinner with my dog,
- 37:25Speaker 1: and UH set up, laughed, and UH was in the
- 37:28Speaker 1: pro shop with his food shopping. Yeah, did not understand
- 37:38Speaker 1: how both of us was in the pro shop at
- 37:41Speaker 1: the same time. And she said, it can't be. It
- 37:48Speaker 1: can't be that Lady Holliday scream and so me and
- 37:54Speaker 1: said came up with a new thing, said, is the
- 37:57Speaker 1: happy king and I'm the disgrunted king. Yeah, that's very being. Yeah,
- 38:04Speaker 1: we already knew that. You know, when you have a
- 38:07Speaker 1: golf tournament, a lot of the holes are sponsored. Some
- 38:10Speaker 1: of the people that sponsor the holes are sitting at
- 38:12Speaker 1: their table, you know, with drinks or foods or different things,
- 38:16Speaker 1: medical stuff, cigars, whatever. So at every hole, you know,
- 38:20Speaker 1: it's a photo out for them because they sponsor, you
- 38:23Speaker 1: gotta take pictures with it. I was so glad, said
- 38:26Speaker 1: was said a little of all that. I was because
- 38:29Speaker 1: I'm trying to hit this golf ball which ain't going
- 38:31Speaker 1: right today. And it was just a great experience. I
- 38:34Speaker 1: met the Prime Minister of the Bahamas. I met with him.
- 38:39Speaker 1: We may get involved to do some things in the Bahamas,
- 38:41Speaker 1: especially along the lines of mentoring. He seemed very serious
- 38:45Speaker 1: about that. And then I had some other things I
- 38:49Speaker 1: tell you about later. But it was a great trip.
- 38:51Speaker 1: Man to the Bahamas is great place. Tourism is the
- 38:54Speaker 1: number one thing, but that there's some great people down there.
- 38:59Speaker 1: Had great time. All right, Steve, alright, always giving back,
- 39:02Speaker 1: Thank you, thank you, thank you for that. All right.
- 39:05Speaker 1: Coming up at thirty four minutes after the hour, we're
- 39:08Speaker 1: gonna talk about the Goat herself, Serena Williams, and walking
- 39:13Speaker 1: away from something that you're passionate about. Right after this
- 39:17Speaker 1: you're listening to show, all right, So Steve. Serena Williams,
- 39:23Speaker 1: the Goat recently announced her retirement, but she captivated the
- 39:28Speaker 1: world last week at the US Open. Many celebrities were
- 39:32Speaker 1: there to witness greatness, and some even tweeted about Serena's performance.
- 39:36Speaker 1: Tiger Woods tweeted, You're literally the greatest on and off
- 39:40Speaker 1: the court. Thank you for inspiring all of us to
- 39:42Speaker 1: pursue our dreams. I love you, little Sis. Olympic gymnast
- 39:48Speaker 1: gold medalists Simone Biles tweeted, thank you Serena Williams for
- 39:52Speaker 1: transcending sports for black athletes, for female athletes, and every athlete.
- 39:57Speaker 1: And then Lebron James referred to Serena as the goat
- 40:01Speaker 1: and he said, you're you're just so dope. You're so dope.
- 40:05Speaker 1: I love that, love it. So, I mean, we all
- 40:09Speaker 1: know that sports can be inspiring, of course, and Serena
- 40:12Speaker 1: is so passionate about tennis. She's so passionate. However, you know,
- 40:17Speaker 1: when you're that passionate about something, isn't it hard to
- 40:20Speaker 1: walk away? And she's walking away, but she still has
- 40:24Speaker 1: tennis in her heart, you know. I mean it was
- 40:28Speaker 1: just amazing, Yeah, it really was. It was just and
- 40:34Speaker 1: all the people that came out to pay homage and
- 40:36Speaker 1: see her. M yeah, she wore the same thing. And
- 40:39Speaker 1: so when she the second night, I thought it was
- 40:43Speaker 1: a repeat of the first night. Nights. I know, we
- 40:45Speaker 1: were texting because because I said, man, she'd beat his
- 40:49Speaker 1: white girl, bade her clothes. You don't have it. My
- 40:56Speaker 1: mind is a little different than the average man. I
- 40:58Speaker 1: see stuff. Didn't have had noticed, yeah, because I mean,
- 41:03Speaker 1: who else would say something like that, even thinking nothing
- 41:06Speaker 1: like that. That's the man Serena. I didn't know she
- 41:09Speaker 1: had the same thing I said, but she put Anne
- 41:10Speaker 1: white girl so bad she knew where had to go
- 41:12Speaker 1: change her clothes. And that's when I'm you know, just
- 41:15Speaker 1: texting y'all and go ahead, because I've never seen Yeah,
- 41:24Speaker 1: but what you you've been through? That seed walking away
- 41:28Speaker 1: from something from past. I can't. It's stand up comedy.
- 41:33Speaker 1: It's incredibly emotional because you don't. I never saw myself
- 41:37Speaker 1: walking away from standing. Really, really I did. I never
- 41:41Speaker 1: saw it. You mean when you started and while you
- 41:43Speaker 1: were doing it, I mean five years before I said
- 41:49Speaker 1: I'm going, I didn't see it. M I just didn't
- 41:53Speaker 1: see it. Man. It turned out that I had to
- 41:56Speaker 1: do it that way. I had to because there's no
- 42:00Speaker 1: I could have survived that schedule, and there's no way
- 42:04Speaker 1: that my television career would have survived the sponsors pulling.
- 42:10Speaker 1: Because when I'm on that stage, man, I'm free. I'm
- 42:13Speaker 1: more me as a stand up than in anything. And
- 42:17Speaker 1: if I say the real me out loud too many
- 42:20Speaker 1: times with these TV shows I had now yes, you
- 42:25Speaker 1: know way and this radio show, we would be broke. Yeah,
- 42:32Speaker 1: out of work. Yeah, I remember that night unk man
- 42:36Speaker 1: in the dressing room. Man, you just the uncontrollable crying man.
- 42:41Speaker 1: It was crazy, man, because I had just I was
- 42:45Speaker 1: walking away from something that was the very foundation of
- 42:50Speaker 1: everything I built. And to be honest with you, first,
- 42:55Speaker 1: I was scared because this is a bird in the head.
- 43:01Speaker 1: I can do this. I can earn a living with
- 43:04Speaker 1: this with these jokes. Now. But what what you cleverly did, though, Steve,
- 43:09Speaker 1: was incorporate your stand up, your comedy. You revised it
- 43:14Speaker 1: you the way you are on family feud. You worked
- 43:17Speaker 1: it in too, radio, everything a little bit shot everything.
- 43:22Speaker 1: Because if I hadn't, man, I don't know what I
- 43:26Speaker 1: would have did, Because I would I would have been
- 43:28Speaker 1: completely miserable as a person. Yeah, and now to talk
- 43:33Speaker 1: is to go back and do one more. But I
- 43:36Speaker 1: gotta wait, though, I gotta wait because that that one
- 43:40Speaker 1: most special that I want to write. That's a career killer.
- 43:45Speaker 1: It's all over there. Why can't you control that killer?
- 43:50Speaker 1: Do that. It's not how you start, it's how you finish.
- 43:53Speaker 1: And you want to kill kill your career. It's gonna
- 43:57Speaker 1: be my retirement special, right all right, yeah, all right?
- 44:07Speaker 1: Coming up next, it is a prank phone call for
- 44:10Speaker 1: today with Junior in for the nephew. Right after this,
- 44:14Speaker 1: you're listening to show coming up at the top of
- 44:19Speaker 1: the hour, right about four minutes after. It's my Strawberry
- 44:22Speaker 1: letter for today. The subject is he a good Samaritan
- 44:26Speaker 1: or a liar? Is he a good Samaritan or a
- 44:30Speaker 1: good liar? That is the subject. We'll find out in
- 44:33Speaker 1: just a few which one of those he is Samaritan
- 44:37Speaker 1: or liar. But right now Junior is in for the
- 44:41Speaker 1: nephew with today's prank phone call. All right, Shirley, I
- 44:46Speaker 1: want to say thank you to Huntsville, Alabama. Get so
- 44:51Speaker 1: sold out. Let me tell you something my first time
- 44:54Speaker 1: in Huntsville, Alabama. Now, I did everything you said. Uncle
- 44:57Speaker 1: went down twenty Dan went on up and had and
- 45:02Speaker 1: made it down the Huntsville you know how to get there.
- 45:04Speaker 1: I went them down twenty then hit Burmham hit season five,
- 45:07Speaker 1: and I was in a Huntsville, Alabama. Now, letnna tell
- 45:10Speaker 1: you something I ain't never seen. Its Alabama. But let
- 45:12Speaker 1: me tell you something I ain't had. In the hotel
- 45:14Speaker 1: they put me in the Airbnb right in the hood.
- 45:16Speaker 1: I swear to God, everybody was on the porch when
- 45:20Speaker 1: I showed up, but I paused the waving that was
- 45:23Speaker 1: going on the portrait screen. Then, man, I loved every
- 45:27Speaker 1: minute of it. Man, I'm sitting there. There was old
- 45:28Speaker 1: man on the porch name mister Calvin, and he drank
- 45:32Speaker 1: old naturals. Asked me for after I wanted one. I
- 45:35Speaker 1: don't even drink old naps. I said, I don't even
- 45:37Speaker 1: know what that is. I ain't that old. But but
- 45:40Speaker 1: I went to the show up and I started to
- 45:42Speaker 1: show just like that said I'm on the porch. I said,
- 45:44Speaker 1: I don't know if y'all know that I've been here
- 45:45Speaker 1: since nine I've been on the porch you'll all day long.
- 45:47Speaker 1: Just Jess got up here. But I want y'all know
- 45:49Speaker 1: that Melbourne dialysis. Though I need y'all need to know
- 45:51Speaker 1: that we've been on the porch. You're talking about their
- 45:55Speaker 1: thing going on. They picked they picked mark us up
- 45:57Speaker 1: off a memorial. Y'all need to know that. Now you
- 46:00Speaker 1: don't want to got picked up? And the quick assaid, Keisha,
- 46:03Speaker 1: don't graduate. Just all that makes you need to know
- 46:05Speaker 1: that's going on in the food, and yeah, you just
- 46:09Speaker 1: need to know these things. I settle the port found
- 46:11Speaker 1: out so much stuff oh my god, they had information
- 46:14Speaker 1: for me on that court. Thank you, hust Bill Alabama.
- 46:17Speaker 1: Just want to let you know, we want to say
- 46:18Speaker 1: thank you. I love it. Man. I'm going back down
- 46:21Speaker 1: that people. I'm not staying that. No, damn air and
- 46:24Speaker 1: builts and the rules were so heavy on boy, I
- 46:32Speaker 1: kept my shoes on case something jumped off. So I
- 46:34Speaker 1: just going out of that. I gotta sleep like that.
- 46:37Speaker 1: When you're on the road, you don't know where you're at.
- 46:38Speaker 1: You gotta do that. Yeah, all right, man, let's don't
- 46:41Speaker 1: get on down to the day's prank. Nephew left us one.

- 47:30Speaker 1: am seeing the truck in a while. Is how often
- 47:33Speaker 1: is he is he? There? Is he? Is? He? Is

- 47:57Speaker 1: you probably you probably haven't seen you. You you don't
- 47:59Speaker 1: know me when you see me? Then what I want
- 48:01Speaker 1: to ask you? Now? I long for uh for he
- 48:04Speaker 1: get back? What you want to call him myself? And
- 48:07Speaker 1: I can give you a fammber. Would you like to

- 48:13Speaker 1: want to call him, but uh, you know I can
- 48:15Speaker 1: wait till he get back. Is he gonna be back
- 48:17Speaker 1: anytime soon? Or he won't be back by the for
- 48:20Speaker 1: another week? Or south? Oh? Okay, okay, okay. A couple
- 48:24Speaker 1: of weeks. Then all right, well let me let me,

- 48:31Speaker 1: you know you love were gone like that, because because
- 48:33Speaker 1: I've been through that for myself. What I was gonna
- 48:35Speaker 1: ask you is just him is when he gone like
- 48:38Speaker 1: this sometime? You think it'll be all right if if
- 48:41Speaker 1: if if if I come by and and uh and
- 48:44Speaker 1: tighten you up? I would I would, wouldn't. I said,
- 48:48Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I didn't. I didn't understand baby, what you're
- 48:50Speaker 1: saying now. I say, you know when he'd be gone
- 48:53Speaker 1: like this sometime, But you think it might be all
- 48:55Speaker 1: right if I if I come by there sometime and
- 48:57Speaker 1: tighten you up? Oh what do you mean? Tighten me in?
- 49:01Speaker 1: You know? You know, you know, tighten you up? You
- 49:03Speaker 1: know where you ain't ain't ain't feeling too lonely all
- 49:06Speaker 1: the time. Well, let me just tell you this. My
- 49:09Speaker 1: husband is the only somebody that's doing the ties up,
- 49:12Speaker 1: you know. But I don't. I just I don't appreciate that.
- 49:14Speaker 1: What the hell you mean tiding me up? I tell
- 49:17Speaker 1: you what you say, you live at a gidio. I'm
- 49:20Speaker 1: just two streets over from y'all. Well, I'll tell you what.
- 49:23Speaker 1: I'm gonna sitting my hoods and over there. Let him
- 49:24Speaker 1: come over and tighten you up. How do you like that?
- 49:27Speaker 1: Because I don't need you to tighten me up. Baby,
- 49:29Speaker 1: My headand tites me up, and you're not gonna get
- 49:31Speaker 1: out in line with me because I love the Lord.
- 49:33Speaker 1: And guess what he's heard. He's gonna hear your quay.
- 49:35Speaker 1: Oh okay, Uh, well, I was I was just I
- 49:40Speaker 1: was just you know, they said, you know, you don't
- 49:43Speaker 1: know if you don't ask. I was just trying to
- 49:45Speaker 1: reach out to you and see if it was something
- 49:46Speaker 1: that you might be a baby. You don't need to
- 49:48Speaker 1: reach out to me, baby, But I got somebody you
- 49:50Speaker 1: can reach out to. You can reach out to the
- 49:51Speaker 1: Good Lord, baby, the good Lord. He said he would
- 49:53Speaker 1: never leave you, nor would he for safe. Okay, how
- 49:57Speaker 1: did you get my Uh? Tell you my phone number?
- 50:03Speaker 1: And who told you my name? I got you. I
- 50:05Speaker 1: got your name and number for one of the neighbors.
- 50:07Speaker 1: Now you got the wrong shout of it. I don't
- 50:09Speaker 1: pray the type of games, but I live my heaband
- 50:12Speaker 1: and I live the life. Now, you don't ask nobody
- 50:15Speaker 1: nothing like that? What is wrong with you? I was
- 50:17Speaker 1: your mamma. How do you say you live that again?
- 50:20Speaker 1: I can't use you ask me this feelish like that.
- 50:23Speaker 1: I call you one day of that thing you tell
- 50:25Speaker 1: you live two streets over. I'm gonna send my head
- 50:28Speaker 1: with over this and he's gonna one of them tall
- 50:32Speaker 1: the rule and I mean that. Don't call my mos nomo.
- 50:36Speaker 1: That's what you can do. I don't need you calling
- 50:38Speaker 1: here with this polish name. Okay, can I can? I can?
- 50:40Speaker 1: I can I say something else? Tell you? Oh, you
- 50:43Speaker 1: can't say that tame to me? Okay, but I just
- 50:46Speaker 1: I just want to say this, uh, And I promise
- 50:49Speaker 1: I won't call no more. Okay, if if you just
- 50:51Speaker 1: let me get this last one out? Where is it?
- 50:54Speaker 1: I just want to say this. This is left you
- 50:56Speaker 1: Timmy from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Your daughter shy
- 51:00Speaker 1: Inn got me to play phone call you. Oh my god,
- 51:07Speaker 1: Lord Handlers, Oh my god, Miss lor you are right,
- 51:16Speaker 1: Oh yeah, baby, Oh my goodness, lord, Oh my goodness.
- 51:29Speaker 1: Oh I'm all right, I'm all right. Oh my goodness,
- 51:34Speaker 1: I'm gonna get that year you won't talk. She was
- 51:41Speaker 1: not having it. Miss Leonora, not today. Tighten up, you
- 51:46Speaker 1: reach out to the good Lord, love the Lord. He's
- 51:50Speaker 1: gonna hear your cry. Okay, if you went too far
- 51:55Speaker 1: with at been home, so somebody to come back, just
- 52:02Speaker 1: you know, tighten you up, man, baby, what you mean
- 52:05Speaker 1: typing me up? What do you mean? I don't understand it.
- 52:08Speaker 1: I don't understand what you mean. Yeah, I was just
- 52:11Speaker 1: to shock this, miss Leonora. I know you going there.
- 52:16Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, I'll tell you nothing though. Down in husband,
- 52:21Speaker 1: out of bad but Jamaica, here's some break pads. I
- 52:24Speaker 1: had to go run him down there, auto off. I
- 52:28Speaker 1: had to run him down, run the corner to pick
- 52:30Speaker 1: up some breakpad and his call was jacked up in
- 52:32Speaker 1: the driveway across the street from the porch I was
- 52:35Speaker 1: sitting on all day, and so I took him, took
- 52:38Speaker 1: him over there. Now they're grilling. They're grilling Laby that weekend.
- 52:41Speaker 1: They're grilling on the porch. So now I'm sitting there
- 52:43Speaker 1: with these three old men. And they just turned around,
- 52:45Speaker 1: take the lid off, flipped the meat, put the liddle
- 52:47Speaker 1: so with so much spoke, then the screen. Then porch.
- 52:50Speaker 1: I'm sitting over here choking. They don't even care. They
- 52:55Speaker 1: just go grill anyway. So I just want to say
- 52:58Speaker 1: thank you so much. Out of come back, I'm getting
- 53:02Speaker 1: a hotel, though I will be working off the off
- 53:06Speaker 1: of Memorial. I'm not doing that normal. Now. That's a lot.
- 53:11Speaker 1: And Keisha is not graduating. Okay, everybody, she's not not
- 53:15Speaker 1: from beauty school. All right, thank you, Junior. Coming up

- 53:51Speaker 1: could be reading it live. I'm the heir. All right,
- 53:54Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, it's time for the Strawberry Letter with
- 53:56Speaker 1: my good friend, surely Strawberry and you're my good friend, Junior.
- 54:01Speaker 1: Thank you. Subject listen to this subject is he a
- 54:05Speaker 1: good Samaritan or a good liar? Dear Stephen Shirley, my
- 54:10Speaker 1: husband and I have been married for twelve years, and
- 54:13Speaker 1: we've had a tough time financially because of the pandemic.
- 54:16Speaker 1: I had to step up and take care of most
- 54:18Speaker 1: of our financial responsibilities. My husband was still out of
- 54:22Speaker 1: the house a lot, even though we were all supposed
- 54:24Speaker 1: to be quarantine. He said he was checking on his
- 54:27Speaker 1: business and tying up loose ends. I believed it. I
- 54:33Speaker 1: believed it because he ended up closing the businesses. At
- 54:37Speaker 1: the top of twenty twenty two. He started getting a
- 54:39Speaker 1: lot of phone calls back to back and ignored the
- 54:42Speaker 1: calls in my face. I was so curious, but I
- 54:46Speaker 1: did not ask him any questions. I shared this info
- 54:49Speaker 1: with my older sister because she has been hurt by
- 54:52Speaker 1: a lot of men. She immediately called him a cheater.
- 54:56Speaker 1: I wanted to believe that my husband was different from
- 54:58Speaker 1: the men and my sisters life, but he may be
- 55:01Speaker 1: a cheater and a liar too. Here's why I finally
- 55:06Speaker 1: asked him about the phone calls he keeps getting, and
- 55:08Speaker 1: he said it was a bill collector. I asked him
- 55:11Speaker 1: which one so I could take care of it since
- 55:13Speaker 1: I was handling most of the bills now. He said
- 55:15Speaker 1: it was for his business and he'd handle it to
- 55:18Speaker 1: the best of his ability. I assumed he was being proud,
- 55:22Speaker 1: so I snooped on his phone and found the company
- 55:25Speaker 1: that kept calling. When I call the number, it was
- 55:28Speaker 1: a woman from my husband's past that he programmed under
- 55:31Speaker 1: a fake company name. She told me that my husband
- 55:35Speaker 1: had been paying her car note and it was about
- 55:37Speaker 1: to be repossessed. I asked her if they had a
- 55:40Speaker 1: romantic connection, and she told me to go talk to
- 55:43Speaker 1: my husband. He said, it's nothing more than helping her
- 55:47Speaker 1: out financially. Why hide her info in his phone? Why
- 55:51Speaker 1: is he giving her money? Is he a good samaritan
- 55:54Speaker 1: or a liar? What? Okay? He's both. He's both. He's
- 56:00Speaker 1: both a good samaritan and an liar. Actually, a good
- 56:04Speaker 1: samaritan to this woman. He's a good samaritan because he's
- 56:08Speaker 1: been paying her car note, and a liar to you,
- 56:11Speaker 1: his wife. He's also one more thing. He's a very
- 56:15Speaker 1: bad husband. I mean, how is he okay with taking
- 56:18Speaker 1: money out of your household to give it to another
- 56:21Speaker 1: woman for her car note? And please don't think he's
- 56:24Speaker 1: just giving her money. He's cheating with her too. I
- 56:27Speaker 1: mean that explains the back back to back phone calls.
- 56:30Speaker 1: I know she said her car was being repossessed and
- 56:33Speaker 1: asked your husband about anything romantic going on. But come on,
- 56:37Speaker 1: he's giving her money, the filing of her name under
- 56:40Speaker 1: a fake company, and all the other lies he told.
- 56:43Speaker 1: He told a lot of lies. He seemed to be
- 56:46Speaker 1: quite all right with you taking over the bills. That
- 56:49Speaker 1: way he can have money to give to give to
- 56:51Speaker 1: a side piece. He says, it's nothing more than helping
- 56:55Speaker 1: her out financially. But this is wrong because you're the
- 56:58Speaker 1: one who needs help wife. His wife needs the help.
- 57:02Speaker 1: You're the one that's paying all the bills. What about
- 57:05Speaker 1: helping you out financially? Did you bother to ask him?
- 57:08Speaker 1: Why is he helping her or what is he getting
- 57:11Speaker 1: from her? Well, you know what, don't bother because he's
- 57:14Speaker 1: just gonna lie. But in case you're not sure, yes,
- 57:19Speaker 1: he's getting sex in return. No one is that good,
- 57:22Speaker 1: No one is that good except Jesus. So your situation
- 57:26Speaker 1: has nothing to do with him being a good samaritan. Again,
- 57:30Speaker 1: he is a good samaritan to her. The problem is
- 57:34Speaker 1: your husband has another woman that he's giving money to,
- 57:37Speaker 1: leaving you his wife having to pay all the bills
- 57:39Speaker 1: at home. Is this making sense? You're making it way
- 57:43Speaker 1: too easy for him to cheat. You really left a
- 57:46Speaker 1: lot out of this letter, I think because I can't
- 57:49Speaker 1: believe you were that calm when he told you he
- 57:51Speaker 1: was helping her out financially. I mean, this should have
- 57:54Speaker 1: been a deal breaker for you after twelve years. You
- 57:57Speaker 1: deserve much better than this, much better than his lies.
- 58:02Speaker 1: Steve Shirley's response covered all the bases, period. So I'm
- 58:09Speaker 1: going to take a different approach with this letter because
- 58:14Speaker 1: it's so obvious when you read it what it is.
- 58:18Speaker 1: Let me just sum up what I was going to say.
- 58:22Speaker 1: You can't close your business and keep up her car notes.
- 58:31Speaker 1: This is a fact. You can't close your business but
- 58:37Speaker 1: keep up her car note. That's number one. The second
- 58:43Speaker 1: statement is we make car notes in exchange for something.
- 58:50Speaker 1: Can't close a business and keep up car notes. Check,
- 58:54Speaker 1: doesn't make any sense. Fact number two, we make car
- 58:57Speaker 1: notes in exchange for things or something. Check. Here is
- 59:06Speaker 1: the last fact, and then we're gonna go into the
- 59:09Speaker 1: letter for what I want to do. You asked the lady,
- 59:14Speaker 1: are you all have a romantic connection? Her response was
- 59:22Speaker 1: not know? How dare you? I'm not that type of girl.
- 59:32Speaker 1: Her response was, you should talk to your husband. That's
- 59:38Speaker 1: a woman's way of saying, you only got the right
- 59:43Speaker 1: to check one person in here boot, and it ain't me.
- 59:50Speaker 1: When we come back, now that we've covered the letter,
- 59:54Speaker 1: Shirley and Carla will ask me questions as the husband
- 59:59Speaker 1: in the letter from the female listener standpoint, and I
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: will provide you all the information he will be saying
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: when we come back, a reenactment of how the bus
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: went down and how he handled All right, Steve, we'll
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: have part two of your response coming up at twenty
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: three minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry Letter subject is
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: he a good Samaritan or a good liar? We'll be
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: back right after that. You're listening show, All right? Come on, Steve,
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: you have something special plan for the Strawberry Letter today.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: The subject is for your response. The subject is is
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: he a good Samaritan or a good liar? We gotta
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: I wouldn't say this especial, but because Shirley covered the
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: letter very thoroughly, and I happen to agree with everything
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: she said, and we talking to a woman who has
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: to just come to terms with what's happening. Her husband
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: closed the business due to the pandemic, but he was
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: keeping up with a woman's corn from his past. And
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: then she wanted to know if he's a good samaritan
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: or just a liar men make carnal payments in exchange
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: for something. And then the last fact you needed to
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: know was when you asked a woman, where are you
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: all romantically involved? She didn't say, how dare you? I'm
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: not that type of girl or that's unthinkable. Her response
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: was you should talk to your husband, yeah, and let
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: him tell you what you asking me. So now what
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: I've decided to do was I'm gonna be the guy
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: that they wrote the letter about. I'm the husband with
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: the business that the closed. I was keeping up the
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: carnal Sirli and Corlin can ask me any question. I
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: am committed to holding the party line of my innocence
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: and this is how it's done. Anytime you want to
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: start this. Okay, Well, now who is this woman again? Baby?
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: Who is who is she? What woman? The woman that
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: I called that was under the fake company name, the
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: one you know, No, that's not a fake company, that's
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: a company. Well what's the company about? Well? What kind

- 1:02:19Speaker 1: Now I'm asking you, the person that's pay She run
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: a cleaning company. What kind of cleaning company? Pipe cleaning?
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: But that business is still going on. You had to
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: close your business. Why did you close your business because
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: of the pandemic? You was going through this thing with me.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: Don't act like you don't know. But you still have
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: enough money to pay her car note. And here I
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: am paying all the bills that are heard been. Excuse me,
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: excuse me, yeah, excuse you? The company car? Oh well,
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: I've never seen this car since it's the company's car.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: That's because I had the payments on it before you
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: drove it. Because we closed our business cause of COVID,
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: you would have drove it. But except for COVID? What
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: what kind of company is this again? A pipe cleaning company?
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: H You got a car payment on a car that
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: you didn't drive during the pandemic, but you kept the
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: payments up because what baby? I didn't say I had
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: no car. I said the company had a car that
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: I was paying for because that was she do pipe cleaning.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: And instead of paying her directly, I paid the company
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: Cardinal for a tax right off. We got no taps
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: right off. For that. What kind of pipe cleaning cleaning company?
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: I'm stuck on this pipe cleaning. I don't know. I
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: don't know what the thing. I just thought it would
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: be a good business to invest it, because who don't
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: like clean pipes put in my pace? Any more questions?
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: Right now? Are you sleeping with this woman? Let's just
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: be real. Were you sleeping with her? I asked sleep?
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: She didn't say no to what? When I asked her,
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: was there anything romantic going on between the two of you?
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: Did she say it was something romantic going on? She said,
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: for me to ask you, and Dad you're asking you,
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: so he no, it wasn't nothing romantic going on. Okay,
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: I'm will be romantic for somebody. I don't have no
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: feel as fault. It's a business deal, girl. I'm trying
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: to get us tax right off. We'll go get the car.
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: I want to drive the car. Didn't you hear her
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: say the car getting repossessed? Also, now you stop payment
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: on the car when they pick it up this morning?
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: You know she didn't say that. She said it was
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: going to be repossessed. Well, they got it this morning.
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: The car is gone. We'll go down there and get
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: it out. Since you you used to paying car notes,
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: but it's been repos We don't have the money for
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: the car note something. Excuse me. I'll give it you.
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: I'll give you the money. Do we have a repos
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: on your credit? Now? Miss the company car? Is it
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: a repossession on your credit? Yeah? It probably isn't. It
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: probably gonna be on that, but I know somebody worked
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: down there the aquifact. I don't really think it's gonna
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: be on that because it was a coup of car company.
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: But she isn't in if you're making a card no payment. No,
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: you're paying her car note, not the company. That's why
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: I got the pc PE loan. You're going to jail, Yeah,
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: because I'm getting ready to call right now. Until because
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: she said you were paying her card note, not the
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: company car notes. When the phone rang, What did you
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: see come up? Didn't you see the company come up? Liar? Liar?
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: That's what it was for man, liar, liar. So handle
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: letter boy boy, you're fighting, you're fighting all right? Him?
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: Bad credit in a minute. Yeah. Boster comments on Today's

- 1:07:58Speaker 1: through three hundred, three hundred and thirty yards. Man, I'm

- 1:08:09Speaker 1: Yeah man, great man. And he starts walking beautifully now too.
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: I gotta say that I loved seeing him walk out.
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: Now after I just like to say that I'm exhausted
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: from golf and gambling, two of my favorite that's your
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: sports report. Yeah, that's my sports footboard. I was gambling
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: away better than I was golfing. So we were talking
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: about this Earl. We know Serena has retired Carler, but
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: Marguerite Court, who holds the single Grand Slam championship title
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: with twenty four, Serena had twenty three. You know, after
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: all the love, that's Serena guy. She said, well, you know,
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: I've admired Serena, but I don't think she has ever
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: admired me. Now, she played from nineteen sixty to nineteen
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: seventy three, and she was just saying, like, you know,
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: why she didn't didn't get the accolades that Serena got,
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: And because you played in nineteen sixty nineteen seventy three,
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: we didn't know. We had three TV stations. We didn't
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: even know. Hey, we didn't have a computer when you
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: no social media when you were playing, Yeah, we had
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: no idea you were playing with wooden rackets. Yeah, we
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: didn't know. Billy margne Court. I understand people want their
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: flowers and yeah, and they again they get they just do.
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: But you're talking about in the media and the and
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: the social media age and Serena it's just hot. She
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: did so much for tennis and it's just clazy man. Yeah,
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: all right, and her feelings about this. Yeah, coming, thank you, Junior.
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour. It's Tuesday.
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: We'll talk about voting news again. Right after this, you're
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: listening to Steve Hay Morning Show. A twenty eighteen video
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: clip of Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacy Abrams schooling Brian Kemp
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: back when he was Secretary of State on his voting
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: rights record. I just want you to take a listen
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: to this. We'll talk about it. Question is, why are
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: you encouraging people to break the law for you in
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: this election? Mister Kemp, You are very aware that I
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: know the laws of Georgia when it comes to voting.
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: In fact, I am one of the foremost experts in
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: the state on expansion of voting rights, and I have
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: never in my life asked for anyone who is not
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: legally eligible to vote to be able to cast a ballot.
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: What I've asked for is that you allow those who
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: are legally eligible to vote to allow them to cast
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: their ballots. And in fact, we took you to court
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: in twenty sixteen and a federal judge said that you
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: illegally canceled thirty four thousand registrations. You use the exact
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: same system, the exact match system that is under dispute
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: right now. Now, I realize that in the next response,
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: you're going to say that it's a function of my organization,
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: because your tendency is to blame everyone else for the
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: mistakes that you make. My responsibility as a leader is
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: to see a problem and try to solve it. When
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: I saw that we had eight hundred thousand unregistered people
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: of color in the state of Georgia, I started an
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: organization that has reached into every county and increased those registrations.
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: When I saw that people were being unlawfully denied the
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: right to vote, I work to make certain that we
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: held you accountable, and as the next government of Georgia,
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: I will continue to do my job to make certain
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: that every legally eligible vote that gets cast gets counted.
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: Who Yes, we love it. I know he wished he
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: hadn't said that. That's what. Yeah, if you don't know what, Yeah,
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: but that no b today campaign out of hell, y'all
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: didn't get this first right, was back in twenty eighteen. Okay,
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: she's still fire twenty twenty two, all right. According to
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: Yahoo dot Com, the countdown is on. In this year's
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: heated in November race. Stacy Abrams is hoping that the
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: statewide push to register voters and increased turnout will swing
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: results her way in this upcoming November election. As previously
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: reported by Rolling Stone. During his twenty eighteen campaign, Kemp
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: was caught on take complaining that statewide voter registration efforts
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: led by his opponents Stacy Abrams, were a concern for
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: his campaign, especially if everyone uses and exercises their right
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: to vote. So we have to do this every time
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: we get a chance. We have to remind everyone about
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: the importance of voting in this upcoming mid term election.
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: We have to do that because this is their concern. Listen,
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: we're going to do what we have to do, and
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: we are imploring all of our listeners to do what
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: you supposed to do. We have to vote. We've already
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: proven that we can change things. We did it in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: We did it in Detroit, we did it in Philly,
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: we made all the difference in Georgia. We can change
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: the way things are done in this country. And we
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: owe it to ourselves to vote. We owe it to
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: our ancestors to vote. We owe it to all the
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: people who gave it up for the civil rights movement
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: to vote, and we owe it so we can stop
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: allowing the minority to dictate the policies of the majority.
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: And that's all that's happening in this country. And we've
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: got to stop this racist tactic of voter oppression that
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: they use on a continual basis. We've got to show
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: them that no amount of legislature and passing bills and stuff,
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: it's gonna stop us. We are here to be counted
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: from now on. And what's the website they need to
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: go to, Shirley all right? It is when we all
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: vote dot org. When find out now so you could
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: be qualified to vote in November. Find out now you're voting,
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: place poles everything. We're gonna get it. The deadline to
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: register to vote in Georgia is October eleventh. Don't wait,
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: go to when we all vote dot org All right,
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: up at twenty minutes after the hour. Right after this,
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: go vote. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: Thousands of residents in Jackson, Mississippi, have gone days without
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: clean running water. While significant progress has been made in
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: restoring water pressure after a major failure at a water
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: treatment plant last week, the head of the Federal Emergency
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: Management Agency set on Sunday that it is still too
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: soon to say when all Jackson residents will have safe
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: running drinking water. So they are working on this situation,
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: but they don't know how long it's going to take.
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: In the meantime, the residents don't have clean running water.
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: I know. To me, it really is in this day
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: and age. Yeah, and like you said last week, Steve,
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: in the richest country in the world. Yeah, well, it's
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: happening in the richest country in the world. But it
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: always happens in the same community. That part. I bet
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: the water tank ain't gonna go out in the habters. Okay, okay,
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: go up there and tell them they ain't gonna have
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: clean water for threefold do it weeks? Two weeks, go
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: go tell him that. See how this work off of
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: your future in politics? Yeah, back facts, facts, Steve m
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: really really sad. Yeah, it really is m this water
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: treatment facility, and they don't know when it's not that
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: just it's broken. But yeah, when when? Yeah, that's the question.
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: So this has been an all going problem for decades. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: we'll keep you posted on this story as we follow it,
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: and coming up in thirty three minutes after the hour,
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: we'll switch gears and play a round of would you rather?
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening, all right, guys, it is
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: time now for would you rather? Would you rather be
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: under a curse? Or would you rather be forced to
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: curse someone you love? Wait? Which one hurts? The one
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: you love? Yeah? Only person I love? I can't cuss
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: as much. She's ye, everyone knows your turn open targets. Yeah, okay, Junior,
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: would I do be all day? I do? My nephew
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: gets it every day. You gonna too, because you're doing
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: something stupid as we speak right now? Why we hadn't
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: work right now? I'm all right. Would you rather have
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: a partner who is really into dirty talk speaking of cursing,
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: or would you rather have a partner who makes no
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: noises at all? So really dirty talk or nothing silent?
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: To me? Was so kind of noise? Give me something?
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: I gotta something. Yeah, you can't be in here to
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: be quiet. Both you ain't doing no damage. You just
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: say so you want both of y'all want the dirty
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: talk dirty, I mean really dirty tale. Well, I mean
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: I don't really wan't no really dirty talk, but I
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: don't want this hit though. You don't want silence? Yeah,
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: I don't need you look at Yeah, I don't need
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: you looking out the window. Well, I mean it works.
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: You fix the kids lunch, see what I'm doing, and
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: to pay all out ten percent ties this sudden talking
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: about working you and that you're doing your level best
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: and all you his like, Noah, lay me down to sleep,
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: So to keep you doing baby prayers, she said, trove
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: for that. P all right? All right? Would you rather
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: live in a museum or would you rather live in
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: a zoo? Which one I'm in the museum. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: the zoo. You're never sleep hang sleeping here, man, be scared?
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: Why what happened you in that zoo? And when did
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: you walk by the lion cage and don't see the
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: last look at this? Look at Steve. We gotta going
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: up in forty nine minutes after the hour, some closing
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: remarks from the one and only Steve Harvey and their
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: last break of the day. Right after this, you're listening
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys, it
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: is time. It's our time to get out of here,
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: our last break of the day on this Tuesday, after
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: Labor Day. So, um, summer's over, that's what they say,
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: after Labor Day. Summer's over. No more white, can't wear
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: any white. Certain parts of the country. A lot of
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: rain's been going on. It's been raining everywhere, a rain,
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: definitely weather. It's crazy right now, yep. But yeah, that's
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: been our Tuesday. We'll be back willing tomorrow for Wednesday.
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: But um, Steve, you know we I think we talked
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: about this earlier. Um, well, of course we talked about
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: Serena and leaving and having mixed emotions about that. Then
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: you talked about you know, um leaving your last show
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: on comedy and you still have passion for it. Yeah,
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: you're still passionate. It's hard to leave. So I guess
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: I want to ask you what I mean. You know
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: there's a saying all good things must come to an end?
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: So how do you really deal with that? You know
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: what I'm saying? You gotta go. It happens in athletics.
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: Happened to Serena, It's gonna happen to Tom Brady, it
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: happened to Ali, it happens to Tiger. Story happen to Jordan,
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: the greatest of all, it happens to everybody. You can't
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: do nothing. You can't do anything forever. And so since
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: the inevitable is going to happen, Like I always say,
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: change is inevitable, there's two things you can do with
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: the change. You can react to it, or you can
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: participate in it. I always choose to participate in the change.
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: I like to get ahead of it. I don't want
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: nobody to come in. I don't I like to participate
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: in it. I don't want nobody to come to me
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: and tell me it's over, and then I got to
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: react to it. Oh, you want to go out on
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: your turn. Yeah, I want to go out on my terms.
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: And so I'm always thinking about the future, even though
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: the future belongs to God and there's nothing I can do.
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: I do things today. I was having a conversation with
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: a young man yesterday in the Bahamas, and he was
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: talking about his brother and how he was and he
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: can't help his brother. No matter what he does. His
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: brother blows all the opportunities his brother's done. I said,
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: because your brother doesn't have any foresight into the future. Here,
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: has no plans for the future. Have you ever met
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: a person who every decision they make is for now,
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: I mean, with no thought of tomorrow. But the amazing
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: thing about tomorrow is it oftentimes comes. Yeah. Yeah, But
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: so some of your decisions, the decisions you make today,
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: have to also take into consideration that tomorrow could come.
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: And so when I'm making my decisions about my life,
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: it's with the hope and aspiration that God lets me
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: get there. In the meantime, I do the best moods
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: that I can make right now, But the decisions I
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: make is for the future. So I know that TV
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: will end for me one day, so I prepare for
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: the ending It's not that I'm trying to rush it
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: or I want it to happen or something like that.
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: It's it's the inevitable, and so I just try to
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: make decisions along the way to go to get me
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: in a better position for when later have to cure.
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: You know that that's a great way to live, you know,
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: And a lot of people don't know how to They
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: don't know how to do the projections. But you can't
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: live in the moment of now all the time and
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: not make any preparations for tomorrow because there's a chance
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: that tomorrow could come. Yeah, And that's a big thing.
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: People say, Live in the now, Live in the now,
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: you know. People say that all the time, be present,
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: be present. So this is a little different. You still
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: have to prepare for the future, absolutely right. You prepare though, Steve,
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: I think that you know, we were talking about Serena
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: Williams and how passionate she is about tennis, and you
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: would stand up, you know, I think, do you think
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: that people don't prepare for tomorrow something that they're passionate
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: about because this is all they know, do you know
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: what I mean? I mean, it's still hard, it's still
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: hard to let go up. Yeah me, Serena said this
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: would be my last one. But she didn't make that
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: decision three years ago that the US opened in twenty
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: twenty two would be her last one. It evolved over,
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: of course, the time, the birth of a child, her relationship,
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: her aid, her stamina, the willingness to put into training,
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: and the time that it takes. And I think she
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: came to it, but she had to look back and say, Wow,
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: I've done enough, I've accomplished enough things. While I can
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: walk out with my head held high. That's why I
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: was able to walk away from stand up, because I
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: could walk out with my head held high. You know
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: that I had dumped it all out, that I had
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: gave it everything I had, and I had accomplished a
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: lot of things with it, and I knew I had
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: given it my best. What you don't want to do
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: is get put out or quit and you ain't gave
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: it your all. That's not a good way to go
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: because now that is a life of regret could have,
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: would have, should have and that I try to avoid
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: those regretful moments in my life. So man dropping knowledge,
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: dropping yes morning, yes, oh you have something? Oh you
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: know I was just saying, man, we're just proud of
