- 2:12Speaker 1: this one today. I want to share with you. Uh.
- 2:17Speaker 1: It's for all of us. It's for all of us. Uh.
- 2:23Speaker 1: And here it is. There is a solution to all
- 2:30Speaker 1: of your problems in situations. There is a solution to
- 2:37Speaker 1: all of your problems and situations. If you are feeling this,
- 2:46Speaker 1: are you feeling desperate about something and anxious about it?
- 2:50Speaker 1: Are you feeling uncertain about anything? Are you at a
- 2:55Speaker 1: loss for words? Are you is your direction unclear? How
- 3:05Speaker 1: about that? If you can't find your purpose. That's a
- 3:11Speaker 1: good one. That stops a lot of people. If you
- 3:14Speaker 1: don't know what your next move is, that's to go.
- 3:20Speaker 1: I don't. I don't care what it is. If if
- 3:22Speaker 1: if the relationship you're in it's all wrong and you
- 3:26Speaker 1: don't know how to get out of it, it doesn't matter.
- 3:33Speaker 1: There's a solution to all your problems and situations. And
- 3:40Speaker 1: that solution without trying to sound like I've been knowing
- 3:44Speaker 1: this my whole life, because I haven't. That solution to
- 3:50Speaker 1: all your problems. That way to make all your dreams
- 3:53Speaker 1: come true. The way around a lot of this and
- 3:57Speaker 1: to the weakness that feel at times, it's prayer, prayer,
- 4:04Speaker 1: a connection with your creator. Could that be the thing
- 4:09Speaker 1: that's missing in your life. I'm just asking because whenever
- 4:14Speaker 1: I get a little bit off track, all I gotta
- 4:18Speaker 1: do is think, just a moment, Steve, have you been
- 4:23Speaker 1: Have you been praying? Man? Have you been connecting with
- 4:26Speaker 1: your creative? I know you're busy, man, I know you're busy,
- 4:30Speaker 1: and I know at the end of the day you're done.
- 4:33Speaker 1: You're done, and sometimes crawling into bed is all you
- 4:36Speaker 1: can manage to do. I've said this, it happened to
- 4:40Speaker 1: me last night. Again, I did all of this. But
- 4:44Speaker 1: when I look and when I see things not moving,
- 4:49Speaker 1: or I don't feel like things are going in the
- 4:51Speaker 1: right direction, or I have a sense of being stagnant,
- 4:55Speaker 1: all I got to do is retrace it. Because I'm working.
- 4:59Speaker 1: There's no out about that. I'm working. But am I
- 5:03Speaker 1: staying connected and I using that weapon that's available to
- 5:07Speaker 1: all of us? And I pray and the answer is
- 5:11Speaker 1: usually no. That's so I know. Okay, okay, man, I'm
- 5:15Speaker 1: I'm getting off track hill because see, let me tell
- 5:18Speaker 1: you something, man. The reason the reason I constantly talk
- 5:23Speaker 1: to God is because life constantly changes. People who said
- 5:28Speaker 1: they was going to do something for you one day
- 5:30Speaker 1: have changed their mind the next. Somebody you thought was
- 5:34Speaker 1: gonna show up that day called in late, had an
- 5:38Speaker 1: accident and couldn't make it. That changes the parameters of everything.
- 5:43Speaker 1: The meeting you had set up that had to be
- 5:45Speaker 1: canceled because somebody was ill. That changes the parameters the
- 5:50Speaker 1: time frame of everything. Because it's all connected. So if
- 5:54Speaker 1: I don't stay in constant prayer and stay connected to
- 5:58Speaker 1: the creative when this thing has happened, I'm not putting
- 6:02Speaker 1: in my bed, I'm not talked to him about how
- 6:04Speaker 1: to handle it, or I'm just not aware of it
- 6:07Speaker 1: and what to do next, And the next thing you know,
- 6:10Speaker 1: it becomes a little stagnant. That has happened to me.
- 6:12Speaker 1: I gotta get back because prayer is the solution to
- 6:18Speaker 1: all of my problems and situations. I have found that
- 6:22Speaker 1: to be the case now. The only reason I'm telling
- 6:24Speaker 1: it to you is because I know if you anything
- 6:27Speaker 1: like me slash human being, then there are times that
- 6:32Speaker 1: you feel anxious. There's moments of desperation. You have moments
- 6:37Speaker 1: of uncertainty. There are times when you feel like you've
- 6:41Speaker 1: lost your way, or your direction is unclear, or you
- 6:47Speaker 1: or your purpose is a little blurred. You're not shooing anymore,
- 6:52Speaker 1: or you don't know what your next movie is, or
- 6:54Speaker 1: the relationship you in or the relationships you're dabbling in.
- 6:58Speaker 1: They're just all wrong for you. Man, there is a
- 7:03Speaker 1: solution to all your problems and situations and his prayer.
- 7:09Speaker 1: If you're suffering from any of the things I just listed,
- 7:13Speaker 1: or any other thing you could think of, just check
- 7:15Speaker 1: your prayer. What has your prayer been lately about it?
- 7:20Speaker 1: And this is for everybody. I often find when I
- 7:24Speaker 1: get that disconnection. Man, my my prayer and slipped off.
- 7:29Speaker 1: I started feeling a little bit less, so I gotta
- 7:32Speaker 1: jump back on it. I'm just offering you a solution
- 7:35Speaker 1: to it, man, and and and and and and I'm
- 7:37Speaker 1: giving you a solution that works one of the thousand
- 7:40Speaker 1: percent for show. See, I ain't guessing at this one.
- 7:44Speaker 1: I'm telling you what has happened in my life, how
- 7:48Speaker 1: I did it, and it'll do for you. God has
- 7:51Speaker 1: filled with mercy and grace. He knows we all messed up.
- 7:55Speaker 1: He knows all of us have done some jacked up
- 7:58Speaker 1: things that don't nobody know about. He know all about
- 8:01Speaker 1: our past, man, he know all of that. But He
- 8:06Speaker 1: is so full of grace and mercy, so full of
- 8:09Speaker 1: fifty five chances, one thousand chances. You know how many
- 8:13Speaker 1: times out of messed up? Can? I can't count them?
- 8:18Speaker 1: I wish I could. I wish I could tell you
- 8:22Speaker 1: all the mistakes I've made, but we ain't got enough time.
- 8:27Speaker 1: And some of the stuff I can't say out loud.
- 8:30Speaker 1: It's messed up, man, Because if I don't tell you
- 8:33Speaker 1: the whole story, man, you're gonna think I ain't cool.
- 8:37Speaker 1: And because if you just say I did this and
- 8:41Speaker 1: you not understand the whole story. Man, that's like a
- 8:43Speaker 1: thirty second sound bite. They just pull a clip out
- 8:47Speaker 1: and play this. And they they didn't play what before,
- 8:49Speaker 1: what after? You said? They just play that clip. Man,
- 8:51Speaker 1: you can sound real crazy. You can sound real crazy
- 8:55Speaker 1: if their thirty second clip you. So they don't need
- 8:57Speaker 1: to be going down the list of what all out
- 8:59Speaker 1: and done over my life time because I gotta do
- 9:01Speaker 1: them in thirty second sound bites. And y'all be telling
- 9:03Speaker 1: my man why is he still even living? Let Loane talking?
- 9:09Speaker 1: But you know the thing about your life though, and
- 9:12Speaker 1: the thing I had to come to terms with, and
- 9:15Speaker 1: the reason I don't let my my out of the
- 9:16Speaker 1: reason I don't let my past bury me, the reason
- 9:19Speaker 1: I don't let my past define me is because my
- 9:23Speaker 1: past I found out or just the ingredients needed for
- 9:32Speaker 1: me to make this cake I'm eating now. My past
- 9:37Speaker 1: is just my ingredients. See you, you don't get rid
- 9:41Speaker 1: of your past. They ain't going know where they are
- 9:45Speaker 1: the ingredients, but when you put them with something else,
- 9:48Speaker 1: they look better, they taste better, it is better. All
- 9:53Speaker 1: of our past are just the ingredients that have become
- 9:57Speaker 1: the cake we eating now. Now, if you don't like
- 9:59Speaker 1: the way your can taste, then you gotta start putting
- 10:01Speaker 1: some other ingredients in there. Just because you started off
- 10:05Speaker 1: and your cake was messed up, don't mean you can't
- 10:08Speaker 1: straighten out the flavor of your cake. You gotta put
- 10:11Speaker 1: some different ingredients in there. So let's say your cake
- 10:15Speaker 1: is trifling tasted, it's better. Your cake is better. Well,
- 10:19Speaker 1: you got to dilute the bitterness. You gotta put some
- 10:22Speaker 1: more goodness in there. So you gotta put some goodness
- 10:25Speaker 1: ingredients to to take away the taste of the bitterness.
- 10:31Speaker 1: So you gotta put some different ingredients in there. You
- 10:33Speaker 1: gotta start living your life a little more kindly, a
- 10:36Speaker 1: little more thoughtful, a little more sharing, a little more caring.
- 10:40Speaker 1: And then after a while, man, those new ingredients combined
- 10:43Speaker 1: with that bitter it starts overshadowing the bitter taste because
- 10:47Speaker 1: the bitter taste is further behind you. Now, see, something
- 10:51Speaker 1: that happened to you twelve, fifteen, thirty five, sixteen years
- 10:56Speaker 1: ago ain't got to be the flavor that's in your
- 10:58Speaker 1: mouth now less you let it be. It's the ingredients. Man,
- 11:05Speaker 1: If you're sicking away your cake tastes and change your ingredients.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Put some else in your cake mix so you can
- 11:12Speaker 1: get a better taste if you don't like the way
- 11:16Speaker 1: your life taste. Pray, prayer changes things. I'm telling you,
- 11:22Speaker 1: I've been here my mama saying for years. Boy, prayer
- 11:25Speaker 1: changes things. Do you hear me? Prayer changes things? Don't
- 11:32Speaker 1: my mama? You said to me all the time. I
- 11:34Speaker 1: said to my TV artist, is when they come see
- 11:36Speaker 1: me on the talk show, before I walk on stage,
- 11:38Speaker 1: I tell them these words, my mother said. I said,
- 11:41Speaker 1: my mother used to always tell me this, and it's
- 11:43Speaker 1: bailed me out, and it might do the same thing
- 11:45Speaker 1: for you. I said, whatever I get in trouble, I
- 11:49Speaker 1: hear her words. She says, son, don't forget to pray,
- 11:54Speaker 1: don't be ashamed to pray, and don't be too proud
- 11:57Speaker 1: to pray, because prayer, prayer changes things, and you better
- 12:02Speaker 1: believe something. It one hundred percent showed. Do you're listening
- 12:10Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show? I got eighteen minutes after
- 12:21Speaker 1: I got eighteen minutes after the hour. If you don't
- 12:29Speaker 1: believe I'm here, it's probably called you ain't down. I
- 12:36Speaker 1: got eighteen after that. Our owning everybody. You just stopped
- 12:46Speaker 1: like good for everybody today, Yes it is you ain't
- 12:51Speaker 1: here then it could be worse. I was a little
- 12:54Speaker 1: worried about you, Junior. I thought when the uh, I
- 12:57Speaker 1: thought when the weather change, I thought, on it might
- 13:00Speaker 1: get you a little bit. You all right, you was weird.
- 13:07Speaker 1: I'm not even I'm gonna go come on, boy, claimed
- 13:12Speaker 1: Victory good. He has the best attitude. He totally different
- 13:19Speaker 1: from Tad's up. What do you mean to sit over there? Well?
- 13:29Speaker 1: All to be stars shaking any minute now. Well, I'm
- 13:35Speaker 1: gonna eat this snick and see what that dude to
- 13:38Speaker 1: the dad babies today show. I hope By'm making two
- 13:43Speaker 1: totally different approaches today. Sick, yeah, ding it all the way.
- 13:50Speaker 1: Not mad by having siges because it made me the
- 13:52Speaker 1: person I am the day. Really, you know, the adversity
- 13:56Speaker 1: man overcoming, being strong, mental fight. So when I hear
- 14:01Speaker 1: people complaining about other stuff, it don't really you know,
- 14:06Speaker 1: even in the hospital when he's sick, he's in a
- 14:08Speaker 1: good mood. I'll be in everybody else. Ivy down the hallway,
- 14:12Speaker 1: man be coming, they be coming in there. I got
- 14:17Speaker 1: my skirt on backwards. Damn. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, junior
- 14:30Speaker 1: turn into senior right right quick? So you got it
- 14:35Speaker 1: on backwards? Don't you do something asking stuff like what's
- 14:42Speaker 1: my goals for the day? I say, like learn ballet
- 14:48Speaker 1: when you're in the speak Spanish, I want to learn
- 14:51Speaker 1: because if I could do that, I can go home. Yeah,
- 14:55Speaker 1: fet your goals high? Great attitude, that is sud really
- 15:00Speaker 1: I think people could learn a lot from that. You know,
- 15:03Speaker 1: in terms of your attitude, determine your altitude. So if
- 15:09Speaker 1: you sink low in your mind, you sink low in
- 15:12Speaker 1: your destination points. Everything about you sinks low. The difference
- 15:17Speaker 1: between successful people and non successful people, it's how they think.
- 15:24Speaker 1: It's simply how you think. You know. I get kind
- 15:29Speaker 1: of aggravated. I was talking to somebody and they say, oh,
- 15:35Speaker 1: you know, every time I see you, you in a
- 15:37Speaker 1: meeting or something, all you talk about is money. I said, well,
- 15:41Speaker 1: excuse me, what are my options? Do you want me
- 15:46Speaker 1: to discuss love and hip hop with you? Would you
- 15:49Speaker 1: rather I sit around in gossip? Would Are you rather
- 15:53Speaker 1: I discussed the car dash it? How about you would
- 15:56Speaker 1: rather I go over to talk about other things that
- 15:59Speaker 1: I have enough thing to do with my main focus
- 16:03Speaker 1: in my life has become two things, how to become
- 16:07Speaker 1: successful and how to become happy. And I spend my
- 16:12Speaker 1: time achieving those two things. I try to run them consecutively, concurrent,
- 16:19Speaker 1: like a sentence. I try to make my success be
- 16:23Speaker 1: related to my happiness, and I try to have my
- 16:25Speaker 1: happiness related to my success in that I like to
- 16:29Speaker 1: reward myself for certain things that I accomplished. I try
- 16:33Speaker 1: to do things with my family that puts a smile
- 16:36Speaker 1: on their face. So my a lot of my time
- 16:39Speaker 1: is dedicated towards my success and happiness. And if you
- 16:43Speaker 1: would dedicate more of your time to your own success
- 16:47Speaker 1: and your own happiness, it rules out a lot of
- 16:51Speaker 1: time for foolishness. M hmm, okay, it does. And it's
- 16:58Speaker 1: not that I talk about money all the time. But
- 17:00Speaker 1: I am a businessman, I am an entertainer and I
- 17:05Speaker 1: and I am a husband and a father and now
- 17:07Speaker 1: a grandfather. So I like sitting around playing my grandkids. Man,
- 17:12Speaker 1: I had a little long b J down at Disney. Man.
- 17:17Speaker 1: I got a video on him when he met Mickey Mouse.
- 17:20Speaker 1: He wasn't scared of Mickey Mouse at all. Mickey was
- 17:22Speaker 1: ducking BJ was trying to eat his eel his nose. Man,
- 17:28Speaker 1: it's this a piece of candy. And you know, just
- 17:32Speaker 1: to see that video and then Carley and being brought
- 17:35Speaker 1: him over to me to have lunch with me. The
- 17:38Speaker 1: last that was down there at lunch with my grandson
- 17:41Speaker 1: put him in the floor washing krawl. But to be
- 17:44Speaker 1: able to allow my family to do stuff like that
- 17:47Speaker 1: provides me with the level of happiness that he can
- 17:51Speaker 1: go places, he could see that he got a working
- 17:54Speaker 1: father and mother. That's very fortunate. And I just feel
- 17:57Speaker 1: good when I do stuff like that. So business and
- 18:00Speaker 1: success it's what I'm out here for. And I'm glad
- 18:06Speaker 1: it cuts out a lot of a lot of crap man. Yeah, yeah,
- 18:10Speaker 1: what is it all for? Yeah? You all know? Okay,
- 18:16Speaker 1: surely call it Tommy kill. Right now, can you name
- 18:21Speaker 1: two people in your life that when you talk to them,
- 18:26Speaker 1: they are never about your success or your happiness. Can
- 18:29Speaker 1: you think of two people? Yeah? Yeah, okay, now that
- 18:35Speaker 1: you thought of those, to take those two off the table,
- 18:38Speaker 1: can you think of two more people that are in
- 18:40Speaker 1: your life that when you talk to them, it's not
- 18:43Speaker 1: about your happiness or your success. Yeah, so you know,
- 18:49Speaker 1: four people, go ahead, what's what's not So if there's
- 19:02Speaker 1: four people in your life that whenever you talk to them,
- 19:06Speaker 1: it's never about your happiness or your success, you should
- 19:09Speaker 1: remove those four people from your contact list in your phone. Immediately, agreed,
- 19:16Speaker 1: I should do that. I agree that alone, that four
- 19:21Speaker 1: contexts alone. Do you know the time you've spent dealing
- 19:27Speaker 1: with those people's request or complaints? Because that's all it
- 19:32Speaker 1: ever is, is request and complaints. Wow? All right, well Steve,
- 19:37Speaker 1: this is great, but we gotta go right here. You know,
- 19:39Speaker 1: we have to take a break. And when we come
- 19:40Speaker 1: back from the break at thirty or four after the hour,
- 19:44Speaker 1: um right or wrong with Nephew, Tommy and Jr. We'll
- 19:48Speaker 1: be back. You're listening to thirty four minutes after that.
- 19:54Speaker 1: I welcome back, y'all. Here we go, Uh, Junior and
- 19:57Speaker 1: Tommy will be back with something? Right? What's just him?
- 20:04Speaker 1: Which is which is you? You? What do you mean?
- 20:14Speaker 1: I'll be back, Junior? Tommy? What's the debate today? What's okay?
- 20:21Speaker 1: When I say this to you? Shut up? When I
- 20:24Speaker 1: say this to y'all, just let it digest. I'm shut up,
- 20:31Speaker 1: But that don't mean you right though I'm a junior.
- 20:35Speaker 1: You know what amazes me about you. You you you
- 20:38Speaker 1: don't think about things that I tell you. You know
- 20:41Speaker 1: you just what what amazes me is that you ten
- 20:45Speaker 1: years older than me and you stupid. That's what amazing.
- 20:49Speaker 1: And let's let that. Lets let's let that marinate. Can
- 20:53Speaker 1: we got a moment? Go ahead and that call just someone,
- 20:58Speaker 1: let's go. Okay, but but just listen to me, follow
- 21:03Speaker 1: me out. Okay. But I told him last and I
- 21:05Speaker 1: asked you one question. Go ahead, ain't you fifty? No? Okay,
- 21:11Speaker 1: now go ahead, I'm not okay, Okay, now go ahead.
- 21:16Speaker 1: I told him last night that Adam and Eve did
- 21:21Speaker 1: not have a navel? Am I right or wrong? On what?
- 21:29Speaker 1: Adam and Eve did not have a name. Wrong? They
- 21:36Speaker 1: didn't have a neighbor a name button? Okay? If so?
- 21:45Speaker 1: When they who? When when they put it on? They
- 21:48Speaker 1: was first? They was first. They didn't have nabors? Am
- 21:55Speaker 1: I line up? Tell him any Michael Steve, I prompt,
- 22:02Speaker 1: I have the phone, tell him right now. If this
- 22:07Speaker 1: radio was a phone, I'd be hanging it up. Am
- 22:12Speaker 1: I lying? Adam and Eve did not have a navel
- 22:17Speaker 1: because they couldn't cut the umbilical cord. That's your line.
- 22:20Speaker 1: Because they was here first. Surely you're gonna cut nothing,
- 22:25Speaker 1: cut it from what they was her first, the first
- 22:30Speaker 1: ones that have belly. But that's what you stupid saying.
- 22:33Speaker 1: What you're saying, stupid, I ain't got to say it, boy,
- 22:37Speaker 1: Listen to what I'm telling you. Adam and Eve did
- 22:40Speaker 1: not have a navel. Okay, stupid. I'm over here dying
- 22:49Speaker 1: but thinking about it. Thank you, Carla, I admit it,
- 22:55Speaker 1: but I'm thinking about You can't get the reason. I'm
- 23:05Speaker 1: trying to figure out the argument because they told him
- 23:09Speaker 1: last night if they had a navel, but they cut
- 23:13Speaker 1: it from cut from doing to find this out. Don't time?
- 23:19Speaker 1: What would you doing? You have too much time in
- 23:21Speaker 1: your hands. No, I just it's just things that when
- 23:24Speaker 1: I call him a night and me and him talk.
- 23:26Speaker 1: We talked for thirty minutes every night. He get upset
- 23:29Speaker 1: with me about a little small stuff and I'm just
- 23:31Speaker 1: telling him. I say, you know, he didn't have no navel,
- 23:35Speaker 1: and he was like what I was like? Then he
- 23:37Speaker 1: hung up on me. I'm Kate, what is that about?
- 23:39Speaker 1: You can't wait to have a navel? You know? I
- 23:44Speaker 1: hate to leave it like this, but we do have
- 23:46Speaker 1: to go. I have no problem dropping from off Hey, listen,
- 23:53Speaker 1: up next, it's run that prank back. Foolish. He was
- 24:00Speaker 1: right a wrong, you know he's wrong. I got to
- 24:03Speaker 1: go so they had navels. That's what you're saying. You're
- 24:09Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Hurt y'all hat coming

- 25:21Speaker 1: doing good, but how you how you get my Another
- 25:24Speaker 1: one of the neighbors on your block gave me the number. Man.
- 25:26Speaker 1: We was we were having a little situation. Wanted to
- 25:28Speaker 1: reach out to you. Uh, some stuff going on here
- 25:31Speaker 1: in the neighborhood, man, and wanted to try to make
- 25:33Speaker 1: you aware of it. Well, what's going on? Uh? It
- 25:36Speaker 1: seemed like, um, well, you know the trash man run
- 25:39Speaker 1: on on Tuesday, okay and Saturday right now. The problem
- 25:45Speaker 1: is that that that that a lot of people, I
- 25:47Speaker 1: guess since the holiday just passed, you know a lot
- 25:49Speaker 1: of people got their stuff out on the on the
- 25:51Speaker 1: curve already right right now. The problem is that that
- 25:56Speaker 1: that they're saying, man, is that yo, yo, trash is
- 26:00Speaker 1: actually really really fouled and smelling and smelling pretty bad.
- 26:04Speaker 1: And we wanted to call you, man and see if
- 26:06Speaker 1: you do not hold on, hold on, hold on. You
- 26:09Speaker 1: say you calling me because you smell my trash? Well, yeah,
- 26:13Speaker 1: they say, yours is the one that's really speaking man.
- 26:15Speaker 1: If you could actually maybe put it in put it
- 26:17Speaker 1: back in the in the in the garage, and tip Tuesday.
- 26:20Speaker 1: You know, trash and no garage. That's why I put
- 26:23Speaker 1: it outside. I didn't have enough room in a garage. Okay,
- 26:26Speaker 1: what and who is everybody saying my trash saying? Hey, listen,
- 26:32Speaker 1: I'm saying. I'm not saying. You know what I want
- 26:34Speaker 1: to tell you. If everybody in the hood, I gotta
- 26:36Speaker 1: fire with my trash, thank you? Tell the context? Okay,
- 26:40Speaker 1: what what? What? What? We we we've discussed that too,
- 26:42Speaker 1: But listen, listen. We don't want to trouble man. If
- 26:45Speaker 1: we could just get you to put your trass back in,
- 26:47Speaker 1: I'm not moving over chash. I paid rent over here,
- 26:50Speaker 1: my brother. Hey, we're not gonna go back, and I'm
- 26:53Speaker 1: not gonna go back. What you're gonna do, I'm telling
- 26:56Speaker 1: you what I paid that. Don't tell me to just
- 26:58Speaker 1: over here. Okay, we'll listen, man. Aren't you concerned that
- 27:02Speaker 1: your trash is thinking and reading through the whole neighborhood.
- 27:04Speaker 1: I don't give a damn. If who smell my chances
- 27:07Speaker 1: they got a problem with it, tell them come take
- 27:09Speaker 1: it out still the end and staying out there, Okay,
- 27:11Speaker 1: whether that's the problem, the problem is that you took
- 27:14Speaker 1: it out and you took it out too early. You
- 27:16Speaker 1: shouldn't have put listen out till Tuesday morning. And that's
- 27:18Speaker 1: who inside it. If I put it out there and
- 27:22Speaker 1: saying out that's today, come get it. I'm not gonna
- 27:25Speaker 1: go back and forth with you many damn what you're
- 27:27Speaker 1: gonna do? You ain't even called me telling me take
- 27:29Speaker 1: my chance? Yeah, I say, rint over here, okay, how
- 27:33Speaker 1: if everybody's smelling my chad out of everybody on the street,
- 27:37Speaker 1: I don't know for my understanding, it's just a couple
- 27:40Speaker 1: of holes in it and some some food or something
- 27:42Speaker 1: else that got out. I don't know if one of
- 27:44Speaker 1: the roads or dog got into what the case may be.
- 27:47Speaker 1: But you know we need to try to get your
- 27:49Speaker 1: trash in the backyard. My chance ain't going No damn Well,
- 27:52Speaker 1: and how come you the one? You? How come I
- 27:56Speaker 1: next th name? Ain't how come ya around the corner
- 27:59Speaker 1: and called? Who put you up to this where everybody's
- 28:02Speaker 1: smelling it? I was just fortunate enough to get your
- 28:04Speaker 1: phone number. I said, well, look, I just going to
- 28:06Speaker 1: call it myself. I tell you that you and you
- 28:10Speaker 1: my phone? N I'm thinking that there ain't going to okay?
- 28:14Speaker 1: What we listen, let's swerve. Just what we decide on
- 28:17Speaker 1: the case we got to this situation with you, just
- 28:20Speaker 1: that I just come over there and put the trash
- 28:23Speaker 1: in your backyard, and just tunesday morning and tunesday morning,
- 28:26Speaker 1: I'll come back over there and take it out that way.
- 28:28Speaker 1: All the smell of being in your backyard and you say,
- 28:31Speaker 1: you go, I'm gonna come over there and put the
- 28:34Speaker 1: trash in your backyard so to so the smell that
- 28:37Speaker 1: fu I mean, that's that. Let me let me take
- 28:40Speaker 1: you this there. If you come over here, you might
- 28:42Speaker 1: well called police because that's who you're gonna need to
- 28:45Speaker 1: come over here. Bring all, they had a father say
- 28:48Speaker 1: in my trade to come over here and take it out. You.
- 28:51Speaker 1: I mean you, you're trying. You're trying to You're trying
- 28:53Speaker 1: to act like it. Don't smell the man. You don't
- 28:55Speaker 1: give it. If this man, I'll tell you what I do.
- 28:57Speaker 1: I go out to pool when that when they helped
- 29:00Speaker 1: you out to live here. Okay, but see does not
- 29:03Speaker 1: want the people in the neighbor who want we want
- 29:05Speaker 1: you to give a damn what they want. I'm telling
- 29:08Speaker 1: you what I'm gonna do. And how do did you
- 29:10Speaker 1: get my phone over any down. I'd already told you, man,
- 29:13Speaker 1: I got your number for one of the neighbors on
- 29:15Speaker 1: your street that said they don't want to get should
- 29:18Speaker 1: have left one to the right. Which one? Listen? Listen, listen, sweve.
- 29:23Speaker 1: Won't you get to the meet of the problem. The
- 29:24Speaker 1: problem is your trash? Think don't How is my chance?
- 29:28Speaker 1: How the hell y'all pippoint my saying how to everybody
- 29:31Speaker 1: else tads on him block? And how the hell you
- 29:33Speaker 1: smell like? I don't know, man, I don't know what
- 29:35Speaker 1: it is. I don't know if you're trads busted, don't
- 29:37Speaker 1: open up what the deal is? But everybody's saying, everybody's
- 29:39Speaker 1: saying it swerve trash, that's that's stink, that's too much
- 29:43Speaker 1: chads that needs to be gone through time. And see
- 29:45Speaker 1: what I think is that chad out there and it's
- 29:49Speaker 1: gonna say out there I said they't come get it,
- 29:51Speaker 1: and you ain't coming over there. Okay, now let's see
- 29:53Speaker 1: that's where you're wrong, swam out. I ain't coming over there.
- 29:55Speaker 1: I'm coming over there, and I'm gonna take that chance
- 29:58Speaker 1: to put it in the backyard to too. Now do
- 30:00Speaker 1: gonna try to get in my way whatever, but I
- 30:02Speaker 1: got to come on and get this chance. And if
- 30:03Speaker 1: I tell you what, friend, y'all over here right now,
- 30:06Speaker 1: I'll put on my shoes. I'm standing on the points
- 30:08Speaker 1: right now at the call. Come on, recoll over whatever
- 30:11Speaker 1: you we go. I'm reco on one street over and
- 30:14Speaker 1: I'm smelling your man, trash man, take your chansh out
- 30:18Speaker 1: my make smell. But you ain't there to come take
- 30:20Speaker 1: it out and set you that a lift sword. I'm
- 30:23Speaker 1: gonna say this word that I called them like, excuse
- 30:27Speaker 1: me tell calling about that? Who in the hell told
- 30:29Speaker 1: you called me? Swerve? Called me that? That? That? Okay?
- 30:33Speaker 1: What that's what they call you? What's wrong? Me called
- 30:35Speaker 1: what's wrong? We called you? You're don't call me that name?
- 30:38Speaker 1: Now you saying my chance? Come over here and take
- 30:41Speaker 1: chances out. Hey, man, I ain't I ain't nobody sitting
- 30:43Speaker 1: there scatter you swim. I'm trying to get to get that.
- 30:46Speaker 1: Didn't not just say you talk about of my name
- 30:48Speaker 1: and swear? Come over here. I'm gonna show you what
- 30:50Speaker 1: I'm the two okay way, and then it is what
- 30:53Speaker 1: it is bottom round. I'm on my way over at
- 30:55Speaker 1: the mood that damn trash. Come over, Come over here,
- 30:57Speaker 1: come over here, moving. I'm on the ports right now,
- 30:59Speaker 1: Come on over meet me. I got a banking trash.
- 31:02Speaker 1: You got, I'm saying right, do it now? Okay, well,
- 31:05Speaker 1: I tell you what. I'm on my way. Nah, and
- 31:09Speaker 1: guess what I'm gonna do when I get over there.
- 31:11Speaker 1: You ain't gonna do You're gonna do. I'm gonna tell
- 31:13Speaker 1: you my damn name when I get over that. My
- 31:15Speaker 1: name is Niphe. You tire me from the Steve Harvey
- 31:18Speaker 1: Morning Show. You just got franked by your cousin all Reese.
- 31:24Speaker 1: Oh thank you out of here. Hey man, I gotta
- 31:33Speaker 1: ask yourself, dog, what is what is the baddest and
- 31:36Speaker 1: I mean the baddest radio show in the land. You're
- 31:43Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Okay, here we go.
- 31:48Speaker 1: If you live in the northeastern Midwest, we know you're
- 31:51Speaker 1: so sick of the snow right now, the blizzard, winter
- 31:54Speaker 1: weather and temperatures. You know you can't wait for vacation now.
- 31:58Speaker 1: This is according to a new survey, only forty seven
- 32:01Speaker 1: percent forty seven percent of people use all their vacation days.
- 32:05Speaker 1: Isn't that the truth? I'm in that forty seven cent
- 32:08Speaker 1: and only percent of workers you use all of their
- 32:12Speaker 1: days for actual vacation, with many using them for things
- 32:15Speaker 1: like staying at home running errands. Of those who don't
- 32:19Speaker 1: use all their vacation, fifty seven percent say they feel
- 32:22Speaker 1: guilty when they go away since their coworkers have to
- 32:26Speaker 1: cover for them, while forty eight percent feel they have
- 32:29Speaker 1: to justify the reason for taking their time off. So
- 32:32Speaker 1: our question of the week here we go. Do you
- 32:36Speaker 1: use all of your vacation days? If not, what do
- 32:39Speaker 1: you use them for? And do you feel pressure to
- 32:42Speaker 1: check in while uh with work while on vacation? Why
- 32:46Speaker 1: or why not? We're gonna ask Steve this first call
- 32:50Speaker 1: it eight seven seven yeah, eight seven seven nine Steve. Plus,
- 32:54Speaker 1: we're gonna tell you about the Sand and Soul festival
- 32:56Speaker 1: going down in the Bahamas later this year. Thank you
- 33:01Speaker 1: Shirley so much. We will be talking about that a
- 33:03Speaker 1: little bit later on. But she's here with national news today,
- 33:06Speaker 1: including the latest from when the storm um probably something
- 33:09Speaker 1: from the White House. I don't know what to tell you,
- 33:13Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. Good morning, This ain't good morning, Steve.
- 33:17Speaker 1: I guess I have to know what I'm gonna tell
- 33:19Speaker 1: you good morning everybody. This is answered with her news. Okay,
- 33:21Speaker 1: here we go, good morning. Sweety. Part of President Trump's
- 33:24Speaker 1: taxes have surfaced, showing that he earned more than a
- 33:27Speaker 1: hundred fifty million bucks and paid thirty eight million in
- 33:30Speaker 1: federal income taxes. Investigative journalist David K. Johnson got this.
- 33:34Speaker 1: They obtained what he claims to be the first two
- 33:36Speaker 1: pages of Trump's federal income tax returns for two thousand five.
- 33:41Speaker 1: The documents showed that the president and his wife paid
- 33:43Speaker 1: five point three million, less than four percent of their
- 33:47Speaker 1: overall income in taxes. Needs to say, the president is
- 33:50Speaker 1: hopping mad about this and how it leaked and how
- 33:52Speaker 1: it got out, and everything very very upset the Trump
- 33:55Speaker 1: administration me while singing a slightly different tune. Now, in
- 33:58Speaker 1: the wake of the Congressional Budget Office Board on their
- 34:01Speaker 1: healthcare built that the GOP has submitted, the CBO's announcers
- 34:04Speaker 1: shows that if it were to become lost, some fourteen
- 34:06Speaker 1: million Americans would lose health coverage next year, and that
- 34:10Speaker 1: twenty four million people would be without insurance by the
- 34:13Speaker 1: year twenty six. Now, the GOP health plan also under
- 34:16Speaker 1: fire by the nation's largest physicians group, the American Medical Association,
- 34:20Speaker 1: as well as the American Cancer Society, the American College
- 34:23Speaker 1: and Preventive Medicine. There's so many American College but a
- 34:26Speaker 1: lot of light lined up, about seven or eight of them.
- 34:29Speaker 1: So now, White House spokesman Sean Spicer says, the White
- 34:31Speaker 1: House is open to suggestions. This has never many take
- 34:34Speaker 1: it or leave it. This is about bringing people together,
- 34:36Speaker 1: and if we have great ideas that will achieve a
- 34:39Speaker 1: better outcome for the American people, then we're gonna listen
- 34:41Speaker 1: to them and we're gonna incorporate it. So that's what
- 34:43Speaker 1: they're saying now. On the plus side for the Republicans,
- 34:45Speaker 1: the CBO says that there would be no more penalties
- 34:47Speaker 1: for people who don't sign up for coverage and that
- 34:50Speaker 1: the federal deficit would be reduced. That's mostly because the
- 34:53Speaker 1: GOP measure cuts medicaid for low income people and eliminates
- 34:57Speaker 1: the subsidies that Obamacare supplied to help people play their premium.
- 35:00Speaker 1: So that's why the deficit will be going down. Okay.
- 35:04Speaker 1: House Democratic Nancy House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi wants her
- 35:09Speaker 1: Republican colleagues to strip this guy. The GOP Congressman from Iowa,
- 35:13Speaker 1: Steve King of his chairmanship of the House Judiciary Subcommittee
- 35:16Speaker 1: because of a comment he made about immigrants. King said, quote,
- 35:19Speaker 1: America can't restore our civilization with someone else's babies. Now,
- 35:24Speaker 1: House Speaker Paul Ryan, some other Republicans say they disagree
- 35:27Speaker 1: with his comments. And now the guy said some more stuff.
- 35:29Speaker 1: He now says. This is King. Representative Steve King of
- 35:32Speaker 1: Io Republican says minority groups will never surpass whites as
- 35:36Speaker 1: the majority of the US because quote, the Hispanics and
- 35:39Speaker 1: the Blacks will be fighting each other before that happens.
- 35:43Speaker 1: So again, you know, like unfortunately, a lot of uh,
- 35:46Speaker 1: you know, regressive groups that he thinks of a race war,
- 35:49Speaker 1: a lot of you know, Nazi people, and they always
- 35:52Speaker 1: think that there's gonna be some sort of race war.
- 35:53Speaker 1: He thinks it'll be interracial between the Hispanics and the
- 35:56Speaker 1: Blacks and we'll kill each other off of something. This
- 35:58Speaker 1: is what this guy is saying. Again, he's a representative
- 36:01Speaker 1: Republican from Iowa. Okay. There's a nude photo scandal in
- 36:04Speaker 1: the Marines involving pictures of female colleagues and some current
- 36:08Speaker 1: as well as former US Marines Leslie accompanied by lou
- 36:11Speaker 1: threatening comments. A general there says he intends to fix
- 36:14Speaker 1: the problem in Today is the IDEs of March. It's
- 36:17Speaker 1: National dumpstruck Day and it's National kick butts Day. Now
- 36:24Speaker 1: back to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Okay, thank you for saying.
- 36:31Speaker 1: As as our listeners in the Midwest, let's get to
- 36:33Speaker 1: this question. As our listeners in the Midwest and Northeast
- 36:36Speaker 1: shovel and thaw out from the big snowstorm, we know
- 36:39Speaker 1: that vacation is on top of your mind right now. Okay,
- 36:42Speaker 1: top of mind. We found a survey that finds that
- 36:45Speaker 1: most people don't use all their vacation days and guilt. Guilt.
- 36:50Speaker 1: Who knew that guilt is the reason? Why? Uh do
- 36:53Speaker 1: you use all of your vacation days? If not, what
- 36:57Speaker 1: are you using for? And do you feel pressure to
- 36:59Speaker 1: check in with work while on vacation? If so, why
- 37:03Speaker 1: or why not? Call us right now at eight seven
- 37:05Speaker 1: seven twenty nine, Steve. That's eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve. Okay, Steve,
- 37:12Speaker 1: since you're the vacation man on this show because you
- 37:15Speaker 1: have so many jobs, of course, uh so let's say answer.
- 37:19Speaker 1: Let's find out how do you feel about this. Do
- 37:21Speaker 1: you feel guilty when you're on vacation? Oh? I know,
- 37:29Speaker 1: do you ever? You don't feel guilty that we're here
- 37:32Speaker 1: slaving and working and you're out enjoying you know, the
- 37:36Speaker 1: Greek isles, Uh, the French riviera? No, no, I don't.
- 37:46Speaker 1: You don't feel the needs when you call, But you
- 37:49Speaker 1: don't feel the need to call in and check on
- 37:52Speaker 1: us and get activated when y'all call me? What? But
- 38:01Speaker 1: you know, Steve, when people are out and other people
- 38:04Speaker 1: cover for them, right, they say, Hey, you think the
- 38:08Speaker 1: person that's going out on vacation, you can call me
- 38:11Speaker 1: if you need anything. If you don't understand something, you
- 38:15Speaker 1: can shoot me an email or give me a call.
- 38:17Speaker 1: Can we count on you for that this year during
- 38:20Speaker 1: your vacation. Nope, they already knew the answer to that.
- 38:27Speaker 1: I don't call me, don't reach you out to me,
- 38:31Speaker 1: don't email me, don't let me know if you need nothing.
- 38:35Speaker 1: If you need, get it to you from way out here. Work,
- 38:41Speaker 1: show your worth to come up. I just want to
- 38:45Speaker 1: say vacation. When I go on vacation, I look at
- 38:52Speaker 1: it as a chance for Tommy to come up. Uh huh,
- 38:56Speaker 1: look for a chance for Tommy to show his leadership. Skip. Yeah,
- 39:00Speaker 1: you were out on Monday, and you know he took
- 39:03Speaker 1: the wheel definitely. M I heard nothing disastrous happened, so
- 39:08Speaker 1: I'm assuming everything went well. It was fine. Yeah, so
- 39:18Speaker 1: I discovered that I'm perfectly calm, you know, adequate as
- 39:23Speaker 1: a replacement, just adequate. I think none of that can
- 39:33Speaker 1: It's not a competition. The sign of a good leader
- 39:40Speaker 1: is a good delegator. Right, So you leave, you know,
- 39:46Speaker 1: very capable hand. You do an excellent job. I didn't
- 39:48Speaker 1: know Cal I'm gonna take her ass off. That's the
- 39:53Speaker 1: one day I have. But let's see, this is what
- 39:58Speaker 1: the article is talking about. The gilt. You people feel pressure.
- 40:01Speaker 1: They can't even take their vacation time. That's a shame. Okay,
- 40:05Speaker 1: well feel guilty. You won't just be in here. We
- 40:09Speaker 1: got things to do, Steve, Women on this show. I
- 40:13Speaker 1: need a break. Surely you were doing your vacation because
- 40:18Speaker 1: you suffered with guilt. Look, and we need people like you.
- 40:22Speaker 1: That's actually true to cover for people like us who
- 40:25Speaker 1: don't have gift. Coming up at eighteen after the hour,
- 40:28Speaker 1: Butterfly Eugene up next with his Butterfly blog. You're listening
- 40:33Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, y'all, we're back
- 40:38Speaker 1: coming up after this song. He's here. Butter ter Fly
- 40:44Speaker 1: up next with his blog Butterfly. He's still out something
- 41:00Speaker 1: man old me and little building steal? But what did
- 41:03Speaker 1: it due? B? Little b little you call tell you
- 41:11Speaker 1: I ain't stay yo, I ain't died. When it asked you,
- 41:15Speaker 1: A could questioned, dude, you know i'd be for last
- 41:19Speaker 1: of fans and tail you want to get your your
- 41:22Speaker 1: insight or something like to look at how you die?
- 41:25Speaker 1: How could how could they lock the lead? Oh? The
- 41:32Speaker 1: cassket ay? Why it's so? Don't nobody to try to
- 41:46Speaker 1: climb in there? Oh you made this racial? Okay, okay, okay, okay,
- 41:57Speaker 1: Steve asked you, right, I could towards it. I ain't
- 42:04Speaker 1: got no beard because he ain't got nothing to shave
- 42:08Speaker 1: it with. Yeah, but why why why would you grow
- 42:13Speaker 1: it if you can't shave no doubt you ain't getting it?
- 42:17Speaker 1: He cleansed you ain't even that would have tried to

- 42:25Speaker 1: you is see Tarzan has been out there for a
- 42:29Speaker 1: while and just like animals adopt, you know, like certain
- 42:33Speaker 1: animals have a lot of fur to cover for rental weather.
- 42:38Speaker 1: Tarza knew he didn't have no razor, so genetically his
- 42:42Speaker 1: body just stopped producing face or her so he would
- 42:45Speaker 1: need to shave. Why that? That's always that? Why how
- 42:50Speaker 1: that you do? That's deep? Okay, Okay, you got another
- 42:58Speaker 1: because sometimes I don't let people be stupider than me. Okay,

- 47:54Speaker 1: you ain't gonna come signings through there, dip you down
- 47:57Speaker 1: and keep moving all. Is that the money making business? Hello? Hello,
- 48:15Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach the Mr Wilson's How how are
- 48:19Speaker 1: you doing? My name is brother spring water Man. Listen.
- 48:22Speaker 1: We uh we we we got paid to actually come
- 48:25Speaker 1: by and do some services to for for you by
- 48:29Speaker 1: some friends of yours, and we wanted to actually call
- 48:31Speaker 1: and see about scheduling and see what you had available? Uh,
- 48:36Speaker 1: some some services. What y'all plan on cunning some grad
- 48:41Speaker 1: what I do? What kind of services you have? Actually, sir,
- 48:44Speaker 1: you've got some friends that have actually spent a great
- 48:47Speaker 1: amount of money on you. And what we do is
- 48:49Speaker 1: UM we have a Baptismal Own Wheels servant and what
- 48:54Speaker 1: we do is we go and we um we baptized
- 48:57Speaker 1: people at their home and Eptismal Wheels has been it's
- 49:01Speaker 1: a new UM company, but we've we've baptized over a
- 49:05Speaker 1: thousand people. Now we have a truck with it which
- 49:08Speaker 1: actually has a baptismal pool on the back of it,
- 49:10Speaker 1: and we actually come to your home and we will
- 49:13Speaker 1: baptize you in your driveway and and make you hold again.
- 49:18Speaker 1: So we've hostess brother Water Brother again. I'm sorry, I
- 49:24Speaker 1: Water Springwater. What you want to come to my house
- 49:26Speaker 1: and give me a baptism in my front yard? We
- 49:29Speaker 1: want to baptize you right there in your drive where
- 49:31Speaker 1: your friends are paid for the services. And my friend,
- 49:34Speaker 1: what friend will pay for me to get baptized? I've
- 49:37Speaker 1: been baptized, are already well from my understanding, sir, that
- 49:40Speaker 1: but then that you've you've had some some bumps and
- 49:43Speaker 1: bruises and and and they seem to uh to believe
- 49:46Speaker 1: that you need to be Washington coming. I mean that's
- 49:48Speaker 1: all good, that's all. That's all. It's all good. But
- 49:51Speaker 1: I mean things are I mean think that it made man.
- 49:54Speaker 1: I mean, I've been baptized, I go to church. You know, Uh,
- 49:57Speaker 1: me and the Lord don't have no problems. I mean
- 49:59Speaker 1: we all have set back. But for you to pull
- 50:01Speaker 1: up with your pool in front of my house to
- 50:04Speaker 1: say you can a baptize me, that that doesn't make
- 50:06Speaker 1: any sense to me. Doc I mean succeeds sometimes when
- 50:09Speaker 1: some people are not able to go to the house
- 50:12Speaker 1: of the Lord and get baptized. You know, we're making
- 50:15Speaker 1: a lot more convenient for you, but we can actually
- 50:17Speaker 1: need no convenience. I don't need no convenience. What I
- 50:21Speaker 1: need convenience for you asking me to come to my
- 50:25Speaker 1: house on a Tuesday to baptize me in my driveway?
- 50:30Speaker 1: Does that make any sense to you? Brother Water? I mean,
- 50:33Speaker 1: come on, if you already sit back and think about it,
- 50:35Speaker 1: does that make any sense to you? First, first of all,
- 50:39Speaker 1: so that that that that that's brother spring Water. But
- 50:42Speaker 1: what I'm trying to what I'm trying to say, water
- 50:44Speaker 1: it is holy water, spring water. It doesn't make no
- 50:48Speaker 1: difference to me. You can't come to my neighborhood and
- 50:51Speaker 1: baptize me in front of my house, so that this
- 50:55Speaker 1: is this is what your friends are talking about that
- 50:58Speaker 1: don't get it was my players are telling you, man
- 51:01Speaker 1: and anybody which which one of my friends gonna work
- 51:03Speaker 1: with me and you to come to my damn out.
- 51:05Speaker 1: So I'm not and if I don't let me that,
- 51:09Speaker 1: you don't even make any sense to me, you understand,
- 51:11Speaker 1: So I'm not. I'm not at any liberty to tell
- 51:13Speaker 1: you who actually is uh between the liberty because of
- 51:17Speaker 1: my damn house. Can't baptize me, but you can't tell
- 51:19Speaker 1: me who in the hell I gonna see you? But
- 51:21Speaker 1: you're not there? What make come on? You don't even
- 51:24Speaker 1: come on that that makes sense for you? Come on,
- 51:27Speaker 1: that doesn't make any no way in the world. I'm
- 51:28Speaker 1: gonna allow you to come and bring your phone in
- 51:30Speaker 1: front of my house and baptize me. Then I'm asking
- 51:34Speaker 1: you ask and you you're supposed to be a pastor,
- 51:36Speaker 1: you pupposed to be a baptized I'm asking you Okay,
- 51:38Speaker 1: what's friend of mine is sending you that you know,
- 51:40Speaker 1: letting you know I need to be done. You'll tell
- 51:43Speaker 1: you out at liberty to all I want to know. Basically,
- 51:46Speaker 1: I've already been paid. I'm I'm coming. I'm baptizing men
- 51:53Speaker 1: back time. I'm going to baptize you on Tuesday in
- 51:55Speaker 1: your driveway. Man, I tell you, what did you come
- 51:59Speaker 1: to my house in front of my driveway? You better
- 52:01Speaker 1: bring the old congregation, you understand. You better bring the seasons,
- 52:05Speaker 1: the brothers, the sisters, and they have my heads. You
- 52:08Speaker 1: think how many you got time. This is the problem.
- 52:10Speaker 1: This is what your friends are talking about. This is
- 52:12Speaker 1: why you need to be baptized and cleansed again and
- 52:15Speaker 1: washed in the blood of the lamps. This is what's wrong.
- 52:17Speaker 1: You need to be cleansed. That's what's wrong with you,
- 52:20Speaker 1: Mr Wilton. What's wrong with me? Now? What's wrong with you?
- 52:23Speaker 1: Is calling in and let him my hope. They're telling
- 52:25Speaker 1: me I need to be back high in front of
- 52:27Speaker 1: my house. If I need to be back half, don't
- 52:28Speaker 1: get some oil water. I go down to the church.
- 52:31Speaker 1: I don't need you come in front of my house
- 52:33Speaker 1: making a circus. We are afraid of some white sheeps
- 52:36Speaker 1: calling to back athlete. That from understanding, from my understanding,
- 52:41Speaker 1: for my understanding, Mr Wilson, you missed two Sunday is
- 52:44Speaker 1: already this month sun This man, I can't go anyone
- 52:48Speaker 1: and get the one. I don't need you coming here
- 52:50Speaker 1: because you're telling how miss to damn Sundays. I'm gonna
- 52:52Speaker 1: missy too to the ain't coming off, sir. All I
- 52:56Speaker 1: know is I've been paid to do a job. I
- 52:58Speaker 1: will be there Tuesday morning at seven o'clock and we
- 53:00Speaker 1: will baptize you before you go to work on two.
- 53:03Speaker 1: Before you would I tell you what you curing my
- 53:06Speaker 1: seven o'clock and morning. I swear on your lord, I'm
- 53:10Speaker 1: gonna bust you. You understand me. You was not cuming
- 53:13Speaker 1: my house telling me you would have battipe down. Don't
- 53:15Speaker 1: give a damn who paid you? You understand I will
- 53:18Speaker 1: trying your an award matter stopping now, bringing you your
- 53:22Speaker 1: teachers over body that we don't I don't fool party
- 53:24Speaker 1: of that, you understand. I'm I'm time. All of this
- 53:28Speaker 1: ain't goer, and all of this that these problems you
- 53:31Speaker 1: have within you, we are going to burge your body
- 53:33Speaker 1: and get it out your system. I don't want your
- 53:36Speaker 1: pleas to me. I tell you, I tell you what, brother,
- 53:38Speaker 1: spring water, that's your rain water on it. You're gonna
- 53:42Speaker 1: get back Tuesday morning. I don't give a dam who
- 53:46Speaker 1: pays you, who called you, bring you, I'm gonna who.
- 53:50Speaker 1: I can't kill you. I'm gonna trying y'all safe. I
- 53:52Speaker 1: got one more thing I want to say to you

- 54:33Speaker 1: just better to do? Didn't sit around here and just

- 54:58Speaker 1: show in the land? You know it's the show you're
- 55:04Speaker 1: listening to, The Steve Harvey Morning Show. It's that time.
- 55:13Speaker 1: Buckle up and hold on tie Strawberry letter, Thank you, Tommy.
- 55:18Speaker 1: I think I need to do a disclaimer at the
- 55:20Speaker 1: beginning of this letter gets some I don't know, maybe
- 55:22Speaker 1: a little racy in the middle, So if you have
- 55:24Speaker 1: kids listening, just be aware of that. Please, parents. Subject
- 55:28Speaker 1: I'm down because he can't get up. Dear Stephen Shirley,
- 55:33Speaker 1: see what I mean, Dear Stephen Shirley. I was married
- 55:36Speaker 1: for sixteen years, separated for six and now divorced for
- 55:39Speaker 1: four years. For three years I had been celebrate until
- 55:42Speaker 1: my first love contacted me to tell me that he
- 55:44Speaker 1: has still loved me and was always thinking about me.
- 55:48Speaker 1: We had known each other for twenty years and the
- 55:50Speaker 1: feelings were mutual. Because it had been a minute since
- 55:53Speaker 1: someone had made my bedrock, I was naturally expecting my
- 55:57Speaker 1: first few encounters with him to be awesome. They were not.
- 56:02Speaker 1: I really cared about this man, and so I decided
- 56:05Speaker 1: to do something despice up our sex life. Because your
- 56:08Speaker 1: show is p G, I will leave out the triple
- 56:11Speaker 1: X version, but I will say that it did the trick.
- 56:14Speaker 1: Oh MG, after one episode, I almost thought I was
- 56:19Speaker 1: going to be cross eyed to say we are enjoying
- 56:23Speaker 1: exploring one cross said. One of the remedies I used
- 56:33Speaker 1: to increase our passion was talking about and then acting
- 56:37Speaker 1: out fantasies that drove him crazy. Now all he ever
- 56:43Speaker 1: wants me to do is talk out these fantasies to
- 56:46Speaker 1: help him get aroused. These fantasies are not even about
- 56:50Speaker 1: me and him together. They're about me with other men,
- 56:54Speaker 1: lots of men. He whispers in my ear that he
- 56:57Speaker 1: needs these stories to get the party star it. Why
- 57:01Speaker 1: is my question? I'm asking that because I look good.
- 57:05Speaker 1: I'm five four cute face, Small Ways thirty thirty six.
- 57:09Speaker 1: And while this next line has little to do with
- 57:12Speaker 1: this situation, my two best friends are porn stars and
- 57:15Speaker 1: are at the top of their game. And oh yes,
- 57:17Speaker 1: they have given me on set tips and tricks to
- 57:20Speaker 1: perform solo or in a group. I don't quite know
- 57:23Speaker 1: how to approach this problem that I have with him? Well,
- 57:26Speaker 1: will he begin to think these stories are true? Can
- 57:30Speaker 1: we continue to have amazing sex without them? Well? I
- 57:33Speaker 1: still have the energy to detail every aspect of my
- 57:36Speaker 1: escapades and still get pleasure from him. Or could it
- 57:39Speaker 1: be his age? He is fifty years old. If I
- 57:43Speaker 1: don't whisper these tales in his ears, he does not
- 57:46Speaker 1: perform well at all. Steve. Here's your name again, Steve,
- 57:50Speaker 1: do you have an answer for me? First of all,
- 57:56Speaker 1: I'm exhausted after reading this letter, I really am. Usually
- 58:00Speaker 1: we don't get enough information. But you didn't leave out anything,
- 58:04Speaker 1: nothing but the triple X version. Okay, she left that out,
- 58:09Speaker 1: but everything else put in there. Yeah, you want to
- 58:13Speaker 1: be cross side, Steve, don't you trying to find arrested?
- 58:18Speaker 1: But you know that's saying. However, you start out a
- 58:20Speaker 1: relationship that's like, you gotta finish it. That's what you
- 58:23Speaker 1: got to keep doing. So you started it out this way.
- 58:26Speaker 1: It was working. Now you're tired and you know you
- 58:30Speaker 1: don't want it. You're upset or something. You're you're getting tired.
- 58:34Speaker 1: You don't know if you can keep this up. It's
- 58:36Speaker 1: basically what you're saying. But you you created a monster
- 58:39Speaker 1: here he likes it, and the man wants what he
- 58:41Speaker 1: wants when he wants it. I mean, hey, you started.
- 58:45Speaker 1: If he's a healthy, fifty yard fifty year old, this
- 58:47Speaker 1: could go on for a while. So I don't know.
- 58:51Speaker 1: You gotta go back in your bag of tricks. I guess, Steve, Well, surely,
- 58:55Speaker 1: obviously we was on a sebject you know nothing about.
- 58:59Speaker 1: Thank you whatever. AP appreciate your nice Christian effort. Though.
- 59:07Speaker 1: All right, we're going to get busy. Stick. Yeah, here
- 59:10Speaker 1: we go, sister, says Steve. Steve. Steve, Steve, Steve. Here
- 59:14Speaker 1: we go, Here we go, Here we go. First of all, lady,
- 59:19Speaker 1: this was your first love. This ain't who you was
- 59:22Speaker 1: married to for sixteen years, separated for six, divorce for
- 59:26Speaker 1: four and for three years you've been selling where he
- 59:29Speaker 1: got on phone? You call up old used to be
- 59:33Speaker 1: I been in love with He told you that. So
- 59:34Speaker 1: you expected your first sisue hadn't had your your world
- 59:38Speaker 1: rocked in a while. You expecting your first encounter with
- 59:41Speaker 1: him to be also capital letters. They were not. Now,
- 59:47Speaker 1: you really care a lot about this man, So I
- 59:49Speaker 1: decided to do something to spice up your sex life.
- 59:53Speaker 1: Then you said, because your show is PG, I will
- 59:55Speaker 1: leave our triple efor. But I will say that I
- 59:59Speaker 1: did in the trick. Oh my god, we so desperately
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: I want you to know what you did. You don't, Shirley,
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: because you can't go after on none of this. The
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: rest of us would love to know the trick. Like
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: I said, I had told her Strawberry letter bag. I'm
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: trying to find the rest of this letter anyway. After
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: one episode she thought she was gonna be cross eye.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: Now that's the key, cross eyed loving I must tell
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: you because I've had my eyes crossed and in the
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: back of my head where you just saw white, Yeah, yeah,
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: I actually saw one of my eyeball sockets one time.
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: I saw the thing that controlled the eye to make
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: it go right left, that had came around in the
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: front of my my other I looked at it. I've
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: been in that situation so and and I had that
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: moment in nine and I just want you to know
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: that it is worth looking for excuse me, anyway, too
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: much personal information and what you did to do us.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: You told him fantasizing stories, but it wasn't about him. Well,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: it turned him on, so not well, we know now
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: that the man is not impotent. That's good, So that
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: ain't the problem. It's just now he needs these stories
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: to make it happen. Well, do you know Zane, because
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: if you get some Zane books, you can have endless stories.
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: Z ain't got tell after telling you really want to
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: solve your problem, You're just gonna have to be better
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: read because obviously he needs these stories to go to work,
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: and you do want to be cross side. Let's just
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: admit that Shirley had quit reading a letter because you
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: don't know nothing about this cross side think, but please no,
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: get you some more books and get read up. Here
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: was the question I had. You say, you're find your
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: five folks cute face, smallway, thirty six, thirty six, okay,
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: then ran few in between. Okay, I give y'all that
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: she got a body. Now, your two best friends is
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: pawn Stars. Who in the hell got two friends? That's
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: pawn Stars? Where is lady live? Where's your friends? What
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: is your number? Do you have a website? Me and
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: Tommy confused. I've never met anybody that had two best
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: friends that was pawn Stars, and you're taking advice from them? Lady,
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: You're gonna be doing all kind of tricks. If you're
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: taking advice from two pawn stars, how that's who you're
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: talking to about your sex life. They're giving you solo
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: tips and group tips, group tips. Come on, what's going on? It?
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: As you're saying to this man, can you please look,
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: we have a thousand dollars if you send us the
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: rest of this strawberry letter. So the mentoring program, Yeah,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: I'm so no, I don't want that. I'm not gonna
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: use it at the minute program, I was going, I'm
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: just go to brakes. We'll be back to coming. Don't
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: crazy you're listening Stry Morning showy, Yeah, we're back coming
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: up in about thirty minutes. Our special guests, Open Winfrey
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: gonna be here to tell us about the return on
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: the mega hit Green Leaf. I've also had them on
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: my arm oh my talk show. Yeah, but up next
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: love that part to it is ignorant. Man used to
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: we needn't start seeing each other. And she thought it
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: was gonna be amazing because she hadn't had world rocked
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: in three years and she figured this ought to be amazing. Well,
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: the first time they did and it wasn't. And then uh,
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: he said he needed some other things, and she did
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: a trick, and she started whispering stories in his ear,
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: and that turned him out. That turned him out so
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: good that he turned her out. All of a sudden
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: she cross side. And so now that this lady is
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: cross side, she wants to cross side feeling back. But
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: now her man says he got the head at all
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: the time. She wants to know, can we continue having
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: this amazing sex without them talking about the stories? See?
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: Or could this be he's fifty years old. If I
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: don't whisper these tales in his ears, he does not
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: perform as well. Steve, you have answer for me. Of
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: course I do continue. This is what I do. See
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: your yes. The answer to this is can you have
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: amazing sex without these tales? The answer is no, You
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: need these tales. Tails is the key to your amazing
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: sex life. So all you need to do is get
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: some more damn tails. See they out there. You just
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: got to look for him if you're running out of
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: creative things and say to yourself, try snow White and
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: the seven doors. That's seven men right there. Just go
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: down in this sleepy troopy dog Happy Happy had a
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: big nose. Lord, what he did with that nose. See,
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: you got to throw stuff in this story. Sneazy grumpy. Yeah,
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: but when he wasn't grumpy, then you got other You
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: got to humped it, dumped it set on the wall.
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: And what they humped it do? Humped the humped humped.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: They had a humping it back. So you gotta use
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: your imagination that Jack and the bean stalk. Jack had
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: to climb something, didn't he get on the bean stalk?
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: You can just load his mind with wonderful tails. You
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: just need more tails, lady. Here's another good one right here.
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: That's Dan and Shoe and Mommy and Q and Vixon
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: and who am you know the most famous? And the
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: raindeal is actually men. See it wasn't there wasn't like rain.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: Then there was me and pulling Santa cough slate and
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: the time me through that whip out. Wow, they brought
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: mo and mo. You just need motails, ladies, like you
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: know you look, look, look, look, look research, do your research.
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: You need more stories. Little salad Walker setting the saucer
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: change salad name, little while it Walker setting the sauce up,
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: saying Tommy Walker, how you go? And you use this
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: to your advantage. You need motails. Baby, you gotta get
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: more people out there, you know, you know, the old
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: lady in the shoe, The old lady in the shoe,
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: she didn't know what to do. Don't let them be
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: kids and shoot. Put me in on the shoot. You
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: just need more imagination. It's working over time right now,
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: riding blue Rye. Hold the hell, I want the big
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: bad wolf. That's another man. We'll be back, grandmother. What
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: big teeth you have? Change teeth? All right? Thank you, Steve. Uh.
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: Today's strawberry letter is posted on Steve Harvey dot com.
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: You can also tweet or instagram me your thoughts at
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: my girl. Surely now coming up after the break at
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: thirty four. After the hour, we will update you on
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: the latest from the snowstorm. But more of this hour's
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: national news. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: All right, y'all. Miss Anne is up next with this
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: hours national moment. Come on, come on, here we go.
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: Here she is, the lovely, the talented miss Anne trip boog.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: Good morning, good wearing ladies and wearing Steve everybody. This
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: is a trip with your bag and here we go.
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: Good morning. I'm back back out of snow Several prominent
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: doctor and hospital groups get this, urging the Congress to
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: reject the Republican plan to repeal and replace Obamacare. The
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: organizations wearing that too many Americans would lose coverage. It's
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: the GOP's ideas for getting rid of the Affordable Care
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: Act become law, and analysis by the nonpartisan Congressional Budget
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: Office estimates the Republican plan would lead to some twenty
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: four million Americans losing healthcare in the next ten years,
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: fourteen million in just the first year that it goes
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: into effect. A nude photo scandal has the nation's top
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: marine general, Robert Nailor, saying enough is enough. Current and
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: former marines accused of sharing naked photos of their female colleagues,
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: and the General said, that's it. We'll take action to
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: correct the staining on our marine corps. I have no
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: illusions or delusions about how difficult that will be, but
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: that doesn't mean we're gonna stand by and watch it.
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: It can't go on anymore. However, members of the Senate
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: Are Services Committee, like New York's Christen Gillibrand, are demanding
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: decisive action. She says the brass hasn't done enough about
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: sexual harassment complaints in the press. When you say to us, uh,
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: it's got to be different, that rings hollow. So I
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: guess we'll see, stay tuned, we'll see what happens. Whoopi
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: Goldberg is hopping mad about a fake news item about
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: her claiming that she said the widow of the Navy
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: seal invited to President Trump's first address to the Congress
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: was only seeking attention, and Whoopy said, that's a lie.
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: She's told her colleagues at the View that she's serious
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: about making the culprit pay a history. But I mean,
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: we're the slaves really thinking about the American dreaming that is,
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: I'm not the right Whoopie. Obviously, Whoopi Goldberg was talking
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: about how she really said that she was very sympathetic
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: to the woman, and it's on tape, so if you
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: get a tape of the View, you can see what
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: she said and how she said that. She said nothing
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: like what this person is. And she says she's suing
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: this person. She knows he's in Costa Rica, and she
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: says her lawyers are coming for this guy. They're coming
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: for her. She said she had to get extra guards
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: around her family and everything because she got a lot
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: of death threats on an unspecified number of Navy Special
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: warfare forces have been punished for flying a flag of
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: on their trucks that read Trump on a military convoy
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: traveling through Louisville last month. Some motorists who saw it
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: said they were alarmed seeing military units flying the flag
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: of the national leader rather than the country, remind them
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: more of a fascist government. The Navy says flying the
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: Trump flag was inappropriate. They do admit that. And today's
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: International Day against Police Brutality. It's also National Dumbstruck Day.
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: It's also Everything you Think is Wrong Day. And this
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: one's for nephew Tommy. It's True Confessions Day. He did
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: with his little crazy confessioncy that not everybody just wants
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: to hear what's going on now, that's the Steve Harvey
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: Boarding show. Everybody saying when we come back, Oprah Winfrey's
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: our special guests, and Shirley does the interview because if
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: Sherley's account, well, because I love Oprah, Steve, I know that,
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: but it is that's why I'm not allowed to talk.
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: I'm talking on the show. I love Green Life. I mean,
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: I'm a huge fan of a huge fan of the show. Yeah,
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: can you don't watch TV? Yeah, then Whitfield, what bringing
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: it on this show? You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: Show'll be back coming up. My good friend Winfrey, our
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: good friend Oprah Winfrey, Shirley's client. And why do you
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: have to say that, because Shirley, you do want to him?
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: I can't talk. Well, yeah, I don't want well, you
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: know I'm trying to. I'm gonna talk to Oprah off
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: the air so she know it ain't me. Don't mess
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: me up with this girl. I love Oprah. She's an
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: idol by your ads. Right out of here, be in
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: a situation in all right, we'll be back, Shirley. Let's go.
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: Do you think you all? Thank you, Steve? All right,
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: as promised. We've been telling you about it all morning.
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: She is here, the lovely, the talented, the beautiful. You
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: know who it is, Miss Oprah Winfrey. Hey, chest A Strawberry.
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: I love that. Thank you for joining us today. Uh,
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, what a treat for us. For well
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: over two decades, she has entertained and uplifted millions in
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: her role as a media mogul and actress, producer, and
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: of course philanthropist. She also owns and operates her very
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: own television network. This is big right here. Uh, it's
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: called Own if you don't know the Oprah Winfrey Network.
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: One of our favorite shows on Own, of course, is
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: green Leaf and season two. I'm so excited about this
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: Season two of green Leaf starts tonight. Please let's find
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: out about the new season. Welcome to the show, the
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: one the only Everyone stand to your feet, Oprah Winfrey.
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: That's all you can say, Oprah Winfrey. Yes, morning, Oprah.
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: I hope I can move up to that guy. Okay.
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: You know it's so interesting. I always say like, if
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: I'm speaking someplace, could you just say my name and
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: let me on because it's too much, too much, And
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: then everybody's like, oh, we expect to hear a lot,
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: We expect to hear a lot. Hey, lease, I'm doing
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: an interview. Okay, all right, yeah, yeah for me already. Gee,
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: I'm doing an interview. People. But that's what you mean
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: to us though. That's why the big build up, because
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: we love you so and you've meant so much to us,
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: so we have to give you yours when you come
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: on the show and thank you for joining us again.
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: Green Leaf premiered last summer as the number one new
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: cable series for women. We all love green Leaf. We
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: can relate to the characters, the storylines. Uh, what was
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: the inspiration for you to bring green Leaf to us, Oprah? Well,
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: you know, like so many of us, I grew up
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: in the church. Yeah, and knows that it was wrought
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: with lots of stories that people, uh were trying to
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: keep secret. I remember the little girl as a progressive
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: at church when there's a big fight and all the
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: deacons walks out, and it was so scary to me
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: because up until this time these people were like not
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: just mentors, were like a Sunday school teacher. But when
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: you see your Sunday school teacher picking up a chair
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: getting ready to show it at one of the deacons,
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: and and and and the church split and they went,
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: you know, and one side stay that progressive, and another
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: wind divided off and they called it stath United. It
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: was a mess for a while, but it started me,
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: you know, thinking about what's really going on behind the
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: scenes that we don't see, actually behind the altar, that
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: other people don't know about. So I wanted, you know,
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: to do respectfully a story about a family who is
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: doing well in their life. Because when I was coming up,
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: we wanted I preach it to do well. We all yes,
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: Peter draft the Cadillac and that's all right with us. So, um,
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: I wanted to create a story uh that allowed people
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: to see the breath and depth of what it means
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: to uh be a part of the church, love God
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: in the church and still have laws. And Craig Wright,
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: our you know creator, I sat down with him because
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: he when I was first introduced to him, he said
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: he grew up in the church. And I go, you know,
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: but was it a black church? Because you know, so,
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: I think what the thing that excites me is that
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: the audience responded so well last season, making this the
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: number one cable series for us, and uh, you know,
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: Lynn whit Bill as Lady May incredible, and and and
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: and Keith and all of them just really incredible, incredible, incredible,
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: and you don't and you yeah, I don't leave yourself
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: out now. Well I'm sort of in it. I'm sort
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: of I said to them that, you know, maybe it
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: was so boring last year. Let's give us something she
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: needs a drug addiction or something. You're doing good so
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: so speak. Okay, that was last that was last year.
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: She needs a man. I like that. I like where
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: you're going with this, Oprah. I do so. Tell us
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: about this new season, which kicks off tonight. Tell us
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: about season two. Well, lots of conflict, because I think
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: there's no real story without conflict. We ended last year
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: with uh, this moment where Mac the pedophile gets out
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: of jail. That pedophile storyline is important storyline to me because, Uh,
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: you know, for years on the Oprah Show, I tried
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: to get people to see that people who would be
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: these kids are not the Boogeyman. They're not dressed like
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: a boogeyman. There are people who are right in your present.
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: So it's an important storyline. Also, look at what it
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: means to be gay in the Black Church and how
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: the church responds to that is another theme we will
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: be exploring with UH, with our characters this year, and um,
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: just overall, what it means to be a family in
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: conflict who's trying to serve God at the same time, UM,
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: we're all human. High drama, You're all human. You can't
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: have yeah, And that's the whole point. I'm going to
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: church here, not for perfect people, you know, for people,
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: that's right. Yeah, for people who are flawed, that's right
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: that There you go, there you go. I cannot wait.
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: I absolutely love the show. I love your I think, um,
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: I've seen some of the promos and the trailers for
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: the new season, and you have big hair. Now, I
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: want to know what that's all about. I just I'm
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: excited to see it because because I I love Green Leaf,
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: I love Lynd Whitfield, Keith David, you, of course, I
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: mean everyone on the show. Great show, and I'm glad
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: you brought it because You're right. People should know we're
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: all human and this is what happens. I'm with Ms
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: Oprahmount no matter what she'd do when she told that
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: wall down that Bruce's place, I was with it and
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: I'm with away. Would she go, oh yeah, well, thank
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: you all so much for the opportunity to talk about it.
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: You know, I'm just hoping that uh, viewers will respond again.
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: I think, you know, we right with them. In mind
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: the writing room, I spend a lot of time, uh
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: talking to our team about maintaining a level of just
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: not just entertainment, but a basis of truth within the fiction,
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: so that things appear to be to come out of
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: a place that that we all could relate to. And
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: one of the things, uh, one of the reasons why
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: I wanted to create a network is I wanted stories
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: that reflect us, us people of color in our lives.
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: You want to see people doing well. You want to
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: see you want to have aspirational uh situations, um, even
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: even though you have conflict and trouble. So UM. I
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: love everything about it. I feel like the Greenleaf Mansion
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: is a character unto itself. I love the fact that
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: that family lives in that beautiful home, and you know,
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: I'm working with the team, you know, choosing the art
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: on the wall and the tables and all that that
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: That design is also really important because it's about presentation
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: and what we look like and how we live, and
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: it's presenting an image of aspiration and affluence and aspiring
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: to do well in in in life. I think I
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: think it's all good. Alright, thank you you you put

- 1:37:20Speaker 1: I'm really a genius. I'll tell you what thing. No no, no, no,
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: no no no, you're not gonna me now. I said
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: I was a genius. Don't just don't ump me? And
