- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome.
- 0:01Speaker 2: It is Verdict with Center, Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with
- 0:04Speaker 2: you Center. We have got so much to talk about
- 0:07Speaker 2: on the show, including a lot that deals with the
- 0:11Speaker 2: Epstein quote files and people are demanding transparency.
- 0:16Speaker 3: Well, there's an absolute battle playing out in Washington, DC,
- 0:19Speaker 3: and you've got a battle about the Epstein files, President Trump,
- 0:22Speaker 3: the Wall Street Journal, Pam Bondi, Cash, Betel, Dan Bongino.
- 0:27Speaker 3: It is chaos. We're going to do our very best
- 0:29Speaker 3: to break down what's going on, what to expect, what's
- 0:32Speaker 3: going to happen next. We're also going to talk about
- 0:35Speaker 3: really important legislation that just passed Congress past the Senate,
- 0:39Speaker 3: defunding PBS, defunding NPR. This is a major conservative victory.
- 0:44Speaker 3: We've been trying to do this for decades and we
- 0:46Speaker 3: finally got it done. And finally we're gonna talk about
- 0:49Speaker 3: about something that I'm going to confess is just beautiful.
- 0:53Speaker 3: Stephen Colbert has been fired, he's been canceled. We're gonna
- 0:58Speaker 3: break that down, talk about what's going going on. A
- 1:00Speaker 3: lot is happening right now.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Yeah, before we get all that, I just want to
- 1:04Speaker 2: talk to you real quick about an incredible company that
- 1:07Speaker 2: I want you to know about. And if you have
- 1:09Speaker 2: a cell phone, and look almost on hundred percent of
- 1:11Speaker 2: us do, then why give your money to companies that
- 1:15Speaker 2: actually fight against your values. For more than twelve years,
- 1:19Speaker 2: there's been a company called Patriot Mobile, and they've been
- 1:22Speaker 2: on the front lines fighting for God given rights and
- 1:25Speaker 2: freedoms by taking part of your cell phone bill at
- 1:28Speaker 2: no extra costs to any of their clients and giving
- 1:32Speaker 2: it back to incredible causes that support our First and
- 1:36Speaker 2: our Second Amendment rights, the rights of unborn children, and
- 1:39Speaker 2: they stand with our veterans, our wounded warriors, and so
- 1:42Speaker 2: many families that are in need, with loved ones that
- 1:45Speaker 2: served in our military. Now they do that while you
- 1:48Speaker 2: also get exceptional nationwide cell phone service and you get
- 1:53Speaker 2: access with Patriot Mobile to all three of the main
- 1:57Speaker 2: networks that are running all over the country. Now, you
- 2:00Speaker 2: don't have to take my word for it. You can
- 2:02Speaker 2: literally ask the hundreds of thousands of American patriots who
- 2:06Speaker 2: have made the switch and are now supporting causes they
- 2:09Speaker 2: believe in simply by joining Patriot Mobile. Now, a lot
- 2:12Speaker 2: of people think that switching cell phone providers is so
- 2:15Speaker 2: hard it's not worth the time That is true in
- 2:18Speaker 2: the past, but not in twenty twenty five. Switching is
- 2:20Speaker 2: easier now than ever. You can activate in minutes from
- 2:23Speaker 2: the comfort of your home or your office, and you
- 2:26Speaker 2: keep your same number, You keep your same phone, or
- 2:28Speaker 2: you can upgrade to a new one. Now, I want
- 2:30Speaker 2: to give you a free month of service. All you
- 2:32Speaker 2: have to do is go to Patriotmobile dot com slash verdict.
- 2:38Speaker 2: That's Patriot Mobile dot com slash verdict. You're gonna get
- 2:41Speaker 2: a free month of service if you use the promo
- 2:43Speaker 2: code Verdict. You can also call them and make the
- 2:46Speaker 2: switch nine to seven to two Patriot. That's nine seven
- 2:50Speaker 2: to two Patriot, and make the switch today and make
- 2:53Speaker 2: a difference literally with every phone call and text you make.
- 2:56Speaker 2: All right, So, Centater, let's break down some of the
- 3:00Speaker 2: frustrations with the Epstein hoopla. The media is just going
- 3:05Speaker 2: after Donald Trump. The left is now caring about Epstein
- 3:10Speaker 2: they never did before. They're trying to attack Trump saying
- 3:13Speaker 2: he's trying to hide something. And I think it's pretty
- 3:17Speaker 2: clear you've been an advocate for this. I have since
- 3:20Speaker 2: the beginning. I want transparency. I want to make sure
- 3:24Speaker 2: that the people that were involved are held accountable. There
- 3:27Speaker 2: seems like there's been no accountability except for one person
- 3:30Speaker 2: going to jail. And I want to make sure that
- 3:33Speaker 2: our government wasn't covering something up because a lot of
- 3:35Speaker 2: people lost confidence in our institutions and we know they've
- 3:40Speaker 2: lied to us a lot. I don't think there's anything
- 3:42Speaker 2: wrong with hardcore conservatives wanting that level of transparency.
- 3:48Speaker 3: Well, I think millions who could serve it as millions
- 3:50Speaker 3: of Americans have been frustrated in the last week because
- 3:54Speaker 3: the media has been just beside themselves trying to flame
- 3:58Speaker 3: a civil war. They wanted a civil war between mag
- 4:01Speaker 3: and Trump, and they're hoping that all of the elements
- 4:05Speaker 3: of the conservative movement, all of the elements of President
- 4:09Speaker 3: Trump and his supporters, will consume each other. I don't
- 4:12Speaker 3: think that's going to happen. So so part of my
- 4:14Speaker 3: advice to everyone is just breathe, count to ten. We're
- 4:18Speaker 3: going to make it through this. Now, let me give
- 4:19Speaker 3: you some ways to think through this. I'm gonna give
- 4:22Speaker 3: you four principles. Number One, transparency is good. We should
- 4:27Speaker 3: support transparency. We should demand transparency. We should fight for transparency.
- 4:32Speaker 3: That's important. Number two, protect the victims a couple months ago,
- 4:38Speaker 3: I had dinner with Pam BONDI Pam as a good friend.
- 4:41Speaker 3: We were talking about the Epstein files and what had
- 4:44Speaker 3: been released. What she told me then is she said
- 4:47Speaker 3: that that there were hundreds even thousands of hours of tapes.
- 4:51Speaker 3: The tapes were explicit. She said they were explicit of
- 4:55Speaker 3: children being abused, and she said it was taking time
- 4:59Speaker 3: to edit those videos to make sure you protect victims. Look,
- 5:03Speaker 3: nobody wants to see children being sexually assaulted having their
- 5:07Speaker 3: privacy violated. So I think it's important to protect the victims.
- 5:10Speaker 3: It's not their fault. Number Three, and this is a
- 5:14Speaker 3: principle I have said four years on this issue. Release
- 5:19Speaker 3: it all. That should be the basic standard. Put it
- 5:22Speaker 3: out there, release it all, make it public. That's what
- 5:25Speaker 3: I've encouraged the President to do, the White House to do,
- 5:28Speaker 3: the Department of Justice to do, the FBI to do.
- 5:30Speaker 3: I think that is a simple and straightforward standard. And
- 5:34Speaker 3: then number four, predators should be prosecuted. Anyone who sexually
- 5:42Speaker 3: assaulted a child should be prosecuted and they should go
- 5:46Speaker 3: to jail. This is a simple and straightforward standard. This
- 5:50Speaker 3: is what we should be demanding. Now we're going to
- 5:52Speaker 3: break this down in this show. We're going to talk
- 5:54Speaker 3: about what's going on. But understand, the media you were
- 5:58Speaker 3: on CNN earlier to CNN is so excited. They're so
- 6:03Speaker 3: excited because they're seeing strong supporters of the president who
- 6:06Speaker 3: are criticizing the president. Sana doesn't care about the truth.
- 6:09Speaker 3: If they cared about the truth. By the way, Joe
- 6:12Speaker 3: Biden had these files, he had these files for years.
- 6:15Speaker 3: Did CNN ever mention the words Jeffrey Epstein. They didn't
- 6:18Speaker 3: want Joe Biden to release the files. They didn't want
- 6:20Speaker 3: Mary Garland to release the files. They're not concerned about
- 6:23Speaker 3: the substance. They're just excited about the civil war among
- 6:28Speaker 3: President Trump and his supporters. That should tell you something.
- 6:32Speaker 3: We're going to break that down even further. But understand,
- 6:35Speaker 3: at the end of the day, the people cheering on
- 6:38Speaker 3: for this to get ugly, many of them, the Democrats
- 6:42Speaker 3: and the corporate media, have been proven to be uttering
- 6:47Speaker 3: complete hypocrites. Because if they didn't say a word when
- 6:50Speaker 3: Joe Biden was president, then they need to be quiet
- 6:53Speaker 3: right now and stop pretending they care about this.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Let's talk about what transparency looks like. And this was
- 7:01Speaker 2: one of the big debates. As you mentioned, seeing and
- 7:04Speaker 2: obsessed over this, and I said, look, this has to
- 7:07Speaker 2: be done a responsible way. I also think the American
- 7:10Speaker 2: people need to understand Donald Trump cannot just sign and
- 7:14Speaker 2: everything go out to the public. There are judges that
- 7:17Speaker 2: will have to decide what has made public and a
- 7:19Speaker 2: lot of the information we have on Jeffrey Epstein, and
- 7:22Speaker 2: they're trying to act like Donald Trump's the one that's
- 7:24Speaker 2: not allowing anything to happen.
- 7:25Speaker 1: That's not the case.
- 7:28Speaker 3: Well, that's right, and listen. The media and the Democrats
- 7:31Speaker 3: have been eager to fan a dispute between Pambondy, Cash Battell,
- 7:36Speaker 3: and Dan Bongino.
- 7:37Speaker 4: Not now.
- 7:37Speaker 3: I want to caution everyone, do not take as true
- 7:42Speaker 3: everything reported in the media. I've read the same things
- 7:45Speaker 3: you are, that Dan Bongino's screaming at Pambondi, that there's
- 7:48Speaker 3: a civil war, that he's threatening to resign, that Cash
- 7:50Speaker 3: Ptel threatening to resign. I don't know. I have not
- 7:55Speaker 3: been in these meetings. I'll tell you all three of
- 7:57Speaker 3: them are friends of mine. I like Pambondy, I like
- 8:00Speaker 3: Cash Pattel, I like Dan Bongino. I've known all of
- 8:03Speaker 3: them for a decade. I believe they are good people.
- 8:06Speaker 3: I believe they are principled people. I believe they're trying
- 8:08Speaker 3: to do the right thing. And my hope is the
- 8:12Speaker 3: Trump administration will follow the four principles I laid out
- 8:17Speaker 3: and handle this the right way. But do not get
- 8:21Speaker 3: carried away with the media excitement of the people who
- 8:25Speaker 3: hate President Trump, hate his administration, and want his administration
- 8:30Speaker 3: to be in a civil war. I very much hope.
- 8:33Speaker 3: I do not know, but I hope that Bondi, Patel
- 8:36Speaker 3: and Bongino come together and they do the right thing together.
- 8:40Speaker 3: And do not believe the exaggerations of a civil war.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Right now, Senator, I want to get in also to
- 8:46Speaker 2: another big story that came out. It dealt with Epstein
- 8:49Speaker 2: and the Wall Street Journal report. The President punching back
- 8:53Speaker 2: extremely hard on this reporting.
- 8:57Speaker 1: Well.
- 8:57Speaker 3: The Wall Street Journal reported this week that there was
- 9:01Speaker 3: a book prepared for Jeffrey Epstein's fiftieth birthday, and it
- 9:05Speaker 3: had letters from a number of prominent people, and that
- 9:08Speaker 3: one of the letters was from Donald Trump. And this
- 9:11Speaker 3: was a breathless article. And you're right, President Trump is
- 9:15Speaker 3: punching back hard. He says it is fake, He says
- 9:18Speaker 3: it is false. He says he's going to sue the
- 9:20Speaker 3: Wall Street Journal. Now, Ben, you don't know the truth
- 9:24Speaker 3: on this. I don't know the truth on this. I'll
- 9:26Speaker 3: tell you what the Wall Street Journal reported just on
- 9:29Speaker 3: the text of it. I go to admit, this thing
- 9:31Speaker 3: sounds weird, and if any of us have a BS meter,
- 9:37Speaker 3: it ought to be flashing. So here's what the Wall
- 9:41Speaker 3: Street Journal reported. It reported. The letter said, quote voice over,
- 9:46Speaker 3: there must be more to life than having everything. And
- 9:49Speaker 3: then it's this weird dialogue. Donald, Yes there is, but
- 9:55Speaker 3: I won't tell you what it is, Jeffrey, nor will
- 9:59Speaker 3: I since I also know what it is. Donald. We
- 10:04Speaker 3: have certain things in common, Jeffrey. Jeffrey, Yes, we do,
- 10:10Speaker 3: come to think of it, Donald, Enigma's never age. Have
- 10:15Speaker 3: you noticed that, Jeffrey. As a matter of fact, it
- 10:20Speaker 3: was clear to me the last time I saw you, Donald,
- 10:25Speaker 3: a pal is a wonderful thing. Happy birthday, and may
- 10:30Speaker 3: every day be another wonderful secret. And then underneath that
- 10:35Speaker 3: is a hand drawn, pretty shoddy drawing of a naked
- 10:39Speaker 3: woman and the now very famous signature of Donald Trump
- 10:43Speaker 3: drawn on top of the hand drawn naked woman. Now, look,
- 10:48Speaker 3: I don't know if this is real or not. But
- 10:50Speaker 3: I got to say, that doesn't sound like Donald Trump.
- 10:52Speaker 1: To me.
- 10:53Speaker 3: I've known President Trump a long time. That exchange just
- 10:58Speaker 3: sounds strange. I've seen online. I've never heard President Trump
- 11:02Speaker 3: use the word enigma as an enigma's never age. That's
- 11:06Speaker 3: not the language President Trump speaks in this sort of weird, existential,
- 11:12Speaker 3: self reflective dialogue out of CAMU. That ain't the Donald J.
- 11:18Speaker 3: Trump I know. And I got to say President Trump's
- 11:23Speaker 3: response on this, it was not ambiguous, it was not slight,
- 11:28Speaker 3: it was not conflicted. Here's what President Trump said in
- 11:33Speaker 3: response to this. He said on truth quote. The Wall
- 11:38Speaker 3: Street Journal and Rupert Murdock personally were warned directly by
- 11:42Speaker 3: President Donald J. Trump that the supposed letter they were
- 11:45Speaker 3: printed by President Trump to Epstein was a fake all
- 11:48Speaker 3: caps and if they print it, they will be sued.
- 11:53Speaker 3: Mister Murdoch stated that he would take care of it,
- 11:55Speaker 3: but obviously did not have the power to do so.
- 11:59Speaker 3: The editor of the Wall Street Journal, Emma Tucker, was
- 12:01Speaker 3: told directly by Caroline Levitt and by President Trump that
- 12:05Speaker 3: the letter was a fake all caps, but Emma Tucker
- 12:08Speaker 3: didn't want to hear that. Instead, they're going with a false,
- 12:12Speaker 3: malicious and defamatory story. Anyway, President Trump will be suing
- 12:16Speaker 3: the Wall Street Journal, newscorps, and mister Murdoch shortly. The
- 12:20Speaker 3: press has to learn to be truthful and not to
- 12:23Speaker 3: rely on sources that probably don't even exist. President Trump
- 12:27Speaker 3: has already beaten George Stephanopolis slash ABC sixty minutes, slash CBS,
- 12:32Speaker 3: and others, and looks forward to suing and holding accountable
- 12:36Speaker 3: the once great Wall Street Journal. It is truly turned
- 12:39Speaker 3: out to be a quote disgusting and filthy rag and
- 12:42Speaker 3: writing defamatory lies like this shows their desperation to remain relevant.
- 12:48Speaker 3: If there were any truths at all on the Epstein hoax,
- 12:51Speaker 3: as it pertains to President Trump, the information would have
- 12:55Speaker 3: been revealed by Comy Brennan, Crooked Hillary, and the other
- 12:59Speaker 3: radical left lunatics years ago. It certainly would not have
- 13:03Speaker 3: sat in a file waiting for Trump to have won
- 13:06Speaker 3: three elections. This is yet another example of fake news. Now,
- 13:11Speaker 3: I got to say President Trump is not being shy
- 13:15Speaker 3: or subtle or restrained on that. He's saying it's an
- 13:18Speaker 3: absolute lie. And look, I think we'll see this play
- 13:23Speaker 3: out in the in the days ahead. But on the
- 13:26Speaker 3: face of it, like the strange drawing of a naked
- 13:31Speaker 3: woman that seems like it's drawn by about a twelve
- 13:34Speaker 3: year old. That doesn't seem like anything I've ever seen
- 13:38Speaker 3: President Trump do, and and so, and it's kind of
- 13:42Speaker 3: very conveniently signed with the same signature we've seen on pictures,
- 13:47Speaker 3: on laws, on executive orders, on pardons. It has a
- 13:53Speaker 3: lot of appearances of being fake. We'll see what happens.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Well.
- 13:57Speaker 2: And the queer point the president's making was he's saying
- 14:00Speaker 2: it's not real and I'm gonna sue suing. By the
- 14:03Speaker 2: way the covering downes Fox News, that's a pretty bold statement.
- 14:07Speaker 2: I also think that you know, goes to the heart
- 14:10Speaker 2: here where he's saying this is not a real story.
- 14:12Speaker 1: This is.
- 14:13Speaker 2: And let's also be clear when the president digs in.
- 14:16Speaker 2: Traditionally we have seen when he says this is not
- 14:19Speaker 2: a real story. Russia collusion is a great example of
- 14:23Speaker 2: that he's been right and when he sued, he's been right.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Well.
- 14:28Speaker 3: And let me make three points that are critical in
- 14:30Speaker 3: analyzing this battle between Trump and the Wall Street Journal.
- 14:34Speaker 3: Number One, the most compelling argument he made this in
- 14:37Speaker 3: his truth is if there were evidence of Donald Trump
- 14:41Speaker 3: in the Epstein files. Biden would have released it. Biden
- 14:45Speaker 3: had this, Merrick Garland had this. They were in the
- 14:47Speaker 3: middle of a nasty fight. If they had anything to
- 14:50Speaker 3: implicate Donald Trump, we would have seen this on the
- 14:52Speaker 3: front pages of the paper in October of twenty twenty four,
- 14:56Speaker 3: right before the election. The fact that they didn't, I
- 14:59Speaker 3: think is the single most compelling piece of evidence to
- 15:02Speaker 3: suggest that this is not real. Number two, and I
- 15:05Speaker 3: want to underscore this, don't forget Bill Clinton. Jeffrey Epstein
- 15:11Speaker 3: was a Democrat. He was a friend to Bill. You
- 15:14Speaker 3: know what was hanging in Jeffrey Epstein's living room in
- 15:17Speaker 3: his Manhattan.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Brownstone, Ah, the famous Bill Clinton blue dress painting.
- 15:25Speaker 3: No, that's exactly right. It was a painting of Bill
- 15:27Speaker 3: Clinton in a blue dress wearing red pumps. It was weird.
- 15:31Speaker 3: And that's what Jeffrey Epstein had hanging on his wall.
- 15:34Speaker 3: He was a huge Democrat. Donery supported Chuck Schumer and Democrats.
- 15:39Speaker 1: And so.
- 15:41Speaker 3: Don't forget Bill Clinton. And there's a lot of effort
- 15:44Speaker 3: to paint this Democrat scumbags as a Trump guy. And
- 15:49Speaker 3: a final point, here's what President Trump truthed this week,
- 15:53Speaker 3: quote based on the ridiculous amount of publicity given to
- 15:56Speaker 3: Jeffrey Epstein. I have asked Attorney General Pambondi to produce
- 15:59Speaker 3: any all permanent grand jury testimony, subject to court approval.
- 16:04Speaker 3: This scam perpetuated by the Democrats, should end right now. Bravo,
- 16:11Speaker 3: release it all. That was right in the principles we
- 16:13Speaker 3: said right up front.
- 16:15Speaker 2: Aim into that, and let's talk about some winning that's
- 16:18Speaker 2: been taking place.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Center. It's been amazing what the President has been able.
- 16:22Speaker 3: To do with Benjamina tired of winning.
- 16:25Speaker 1: I'm not tired. I'm not tired of winning, that's for sure.
- 16:27Speaker 3: I'm not tired at all.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Yeah, you look at just the last six months the
- 16:31Speaker 2: Trump administration. We've secured the border, they've launched ice raids,
- 16:36Speaker 2: They've ended child gender surgeries, they designate the cartels as
- 16:40Speaker 2: terrorist organizations. They've kicked out DII out of government, and
- 16:44Speaker 2: then the big one, which should make so many taxpayers happy,
- 16:48Speaker 2: they have defunded MPR with your help and leadership.
- 16:52Speaker 1: That is amazing.
- 16:54Speaker 3: Well, I got to say this, this week was a
- 16:56Speaker 3: very important week. So at two twenty in the morning
- 17:00Speaker 3: late Wednesday night, early Thursday morning, the Senate voted and
- 17:04Speaker 3: we voted to defund NPR and defund PBS. Now, as
- 17:07Speaker 3: a conservative, I have been fighting to defund NPR and
- 17:10Speaker 3: PBS as long as I could remember. NPR PBS have
- 17:14Speaker 3: been left wing propaganda outlets forever, and as bad as
- 17:20Speaker 3: they were. Look when we were kids, when it was
- 17:22Speaker 3: Sesame Street and Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch. Okay,
- 17:26Speaker 3: that was fine, But in recent years they have been radicalized.
- 17:32Speaker 3: They always lean left, but in recent years they've been
- 17:35Speaker 3: open outlets for left wing propaganda. And I got to say,
- 17:40Speaker 3: the left was certain we could never defund them, and
- 17:43Speaker 3: I will tell you on the Senate floor, as we
- 17:46Speaker 3: were taking up the recisions package, so President Trump sent
- 17:49Speaker 3: a package of some nine billion dollars of recisions federal
- 17:52Speaker 3: spendings to call back. We were battling on the floor
- 17:57Speaker 3: and we had it was beyond two in the morning.
- 18:00Speaker 3: It was very unclear if we were going to prevail,
- 18:02Speaker 3: because I got to say, there were several Republicans who
- 18:05Speaker 3: were wobbly. There were several Republicans who were threatening to
- 18:09Speaker 3: vote with the Democrats, and as late as about two
- 18:12Speaker 3: in the morning, I didn't know if we were going
- 18:15Speaker 3: to win. We did prevail and I got to say,
- 18:18Speaker 3: what a testament to the president, And what a testament.
- 18:21Speaker 3: Let me give you just a shout out to Senate
- 18:23Speaker 3: Republicans and House Republicans for coming together for pushing past
- 18:26Speaker 3: their differences. Defunding NPR and PBS is the right thing
- 18:31Speaker 3: to do, and the Senate finally, finally, finally voted to
- 18:34Speaker 3: do that this week.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Yeah, this is such a big message, I think to
- 18:39Speaker 2: taxpayers that were no longer in the business of just
- 18:42Speaker 2: completely abusing your tax dollars and actually using your tax
- 18:47Speaker 2: dollars to go for political purposes. Which is the scariest
- 18:51Speaker 2: part of all of this is how political these dollars
- 18:55Speaker 2: had become advocating for radical, extreme things against maam, we've
- 19:00Speaker 2: by the way, I don't want our tech stars going
- 19:02Speaker 2: for conservative things. Of course, sarcasting either. I want to
- 19:06Speaker 2: make that very clear, like that's not what we're advocating.
- 19:08Speaker 3: For at all. The government should not be in the
- 19:11Speaker 3: propaganda business. This is the argument I made on the
- 19:13Speaker 3: Senate floor. So listen to what I stood up and
- 19:16Speaker 3: urged my colleagues late Wednesday night early Thursday morning. Give
- 19:20Speaker 3: a listen.
- 19:21Speaker 5: Public broadcasting has long been overtaken by partisan activists, plain
- 19:26Speaker 5: and simple. This isn't just an abstract critique. NPR and
- 19:30Speaker 5: PBS have revealed their left wing bias time and time again.
- 19:35Speaker 5: When blowing the whistle on NPR, Uri Berliner, a former
- 19:39Speaker 5: senior editor himself a left wing Democrat, wrote that quote,
- 19:43Speaker 5: NPR has always had a liberal bent. An open minded
- 19:47Speaker 5: spirit no longer exists within NPR. We don't have an
- 19:52Speaker 5: audience that reflects America. Exhibit A. After The New York Post
- 19:57Speaker 5: broke the Hunter Biden laptop story, NPR ran political cover
- 20:02Speaker 5: for the Democrats, refusing to cover the story. Quote, we
- 20:06Speaker 5: don't want to waste listeners and readers time on stories
- 20:09Speaker 5: that are just pure distractions. Mind you, the story was true,
- 20:13Speaker 5: That's why they didn't want to cover it. As for PBS,
- 20:17Speaker 5: its coverage of last year's DNC was only twelve percent negative,
- 20:22Speaker 5: the RNC a staggering seventy two percent negative. If you
- 20:27Speaker 5: want to watch left wing propaganda, turn on MSNBC. But
- 20:32Speaker 5: the taxpayers should not be forced to subsidize it. I
- 20:36Speaker 5: urge a no vote on this amendment.
- 20:38Speaker 2: That obviously was very powerful, and the facts that you
- 20:41Speaker 2: laid out they are also incredibly accurate.
- 20:44Speaker 3: Look the principle is simple. And I'll say it again.
- 20:46Speaker 3: If you want to watch left wing propaganda, turn on
- 20:50Speaker 3: MSNBC or for that matter, CNN, or for that matter,
- 20:53Speaker 3: read the New York Times or any of a host
- 20:55Speaker 3: to corporate media outlets. But you know what we shouldn't
- 20:58Speaker 3: be doing is using us, your taxpayer money to subsidize it.
- 21:02Speaker 3: And I got to say, I'm going to give a
- 21:04Speaker 3: shout out to my colleague John Kennedy. John is a
- 21:07Speaker 3: good friend, but he also is a fabulous sense of humor.
- 21:10Speaker 3: I want you to listen to John Kennedy talking about
- 21:13Speaker 3: NPR some of the most radical stories they've run.
- 21:16Speaker 6: I want to give you a few examples of stories
- 21:19Speaker 6: that NPR has published using taxpayer money. I'll just read
- 21:24Speaker 6: the headlines. First headline, NPR News Service Michael Abanatti quote
- 21:33Speaker 6: a profile of the media savvy attorney. They love Michael Abanatti.
- 21:40Speaker 6: You know where Michael Abanati is today. He's in jail.
- 21:45Speaker 6: You know why. He's a crook, But for a while
- 21:50Speaker 6: he was a media darling on NPR. Here's another headline
- 21:56Speaker 6: from NPR, how racism became marketing tool for country music.
- 22:04Speaker 6: I kid you not. The American taxpayers are spending half
- 22:08Speaker 6: a billion dollars a year to pay a local station
- 22:13Speaker 6: to buy content that says country music is racist. Here's
- 22:20Speaker 6: another headline from NPR, Donald Trump's long embrace of Vladimer Pewtin.
- 22:30Speaker 6: Remember the Russia Gate, the steel dossier. NPR was right
- 22:39Speaker 6: in there promoting it. A couple more headlines that NPR
- 22:45Speaker 6: is putting out there using your tax dollars. This headline,
- 22:51Speaker 6: monuments and teams have changed names. Let me say the
- 22:55Speaker 6: game monuments and teams presumably sports teams had changed names
- 23:01Speaker 6: as America. Reckons with racism. Birds are next. I don't
- 23:09Speaker 6: know any birds that are racist. Here's another headline, Eating
- 23:14Speaker 6: less beef is a climate solution. Eating less beef is
- 23:21Speaker 6: a climate solution. I don't have anything against vegetarians. I'm
- 23:27Speaker 6: a semi vegetarian myself. I eat beef and beef and
- 23:32Speaker 6: towsy eat grass, so that makes me a semi vegetarian.
- 23:37Speaker 6: But that's my choice, not on NPR. Eating less beef
- 23:43Speaker 6: is a climate solution. Here's why that's hard for some
- 23:46Speaker 6: American men. Here's the final headline. I could go on
- 23:50Speaker 6: the rest of the evening. How the talibond adds to
- 23:54Speaker 6: Afghanistan's woes when it comes to climate fueled disaster or
- 24:00Speaker 6: I can tell you that's on the mind of every
- 24:02Speaker 6: person in Afghanistan today is climate change and the Taliband.
- 24:06Speaker 6: I can guarantee you I don't have a problem with
- 24:10Speaker 6: these headlines. This is America. If you want to publish
- 24:15Speaker 6: articles like this, which no person with a brain above
- 24:20Speaker 6: a single cell organism would call fair and balanced. If
- 24:25Speaker 6: you're a news outlet and you want to publish this
- 24:27Speaker 6: kind of stuff, that is your right as an American.
- 24:31Speaker 6: We have freedom of the press, we have the First Amendment.
- 24:34Speaker 7: You're not free in.
- 24:34Speaker 6: Our country if you can't say what you think. You're
- 24:37Speaker 6: not free in our country if you can't express yourself.
- 24:41Speaker 6: I'm all for this if that's what these outlets want
- 24:45Speaker 6: to do, but I'm not for taking five hundred million
- 24:50Speaker 6: dollars every single year and giving it to these stations
- 24:57Speaker 6: to the exclusion of everybody else so they can do it.
- 25:01Speaker 2: Aim into that, Senator, I couldn't agree with your colleague
- 25:04Speaker 2: and good friend, Senator Kennedy.
- 25:05Speaker 3: More I love John Kennedy. I will say he said
- 25:08Speaker 3: something in that. As you know, I'm married to California
- 25:12Speaker 3: vegetarian her entire family are all vegetarians, and an argument
- 25:15Speaker 3: I make with my in laws often as I say,
- 25:18Speaker 3: listen all the animals I eat, they're all vegetarian. And
- 25:22Speaker 3: I will say, you've owned a barbecue restaurant. I am
- 25:25Speaker 3: a proud carnivore. John Kennedy is fantastic. But NPR and
- 25:29Speaker 3: PBS are a joke. And we have reason to celebrate
- 25:34Speaker 3: because despite a massive battle, we won. The Senate voted
- 25:40Speaker 3: to cut off to zero out taxpayer funding. We're no
- 25:43Speaker 3: longer paying for left wing propaganda.
- 25:46Speaker 2: Senator, there is just some news that shocked the left.
- 25:51Speaker 2: I don't know how this could be true, but The
- 25:53Speaker 2: Late Show has been destroyed by Stephen Colbert at the
- 25:57Speaker 2: point where they're like, we're not even just firing you,
- 25:59Speaker 2: We're just canceling the entire brand that has been a
- 26:03Speaker 2: staple an American culture, an iconic show for decades. And
- 26:09Speaker 2: now they're just like, yeah, we're done. I mean, it's amazing, right,
- 26:13Speaker 2: you alienate half the country, you hate half the country,
- 26:15Speaker 2: you mock half the country.
- 26:17Speaker 1: No one could have seen this coming.
- 26:19Speaker 3: Well, look, I got to say you and I talked
- 26:22Speaker 3: about just a few minutes ago. I'm not tired of winning.
- 26:25Speaker 3: Yet Stephen Colbert is a vicious, dishonest, partisan leftist. He
- 26:33Speaker 3: is utterly consumed with Trump derangement syndrome, and he hates,
- 26:39Speaker 3: he despises more than half of America. He thinks we're idiots,
- 26:44Speaker 3: he thinks we're racist, he thinks we're morons. He is
- 26:47Speaker 3: a condescending, arrogant jackass. Now, look, I say this with
- 26:54Speaker 3: direct experience. I've been on Colbert Show. There used to
- 26:57Speaker 3: be a time.
- 26:58Speaker 1: Listen.
- 26:58Speaker 3: I'm someone. I love comedy. I love late night comedy.
- 27:01Speaker 3: I grew up watching in SNL. I grew up watching
- 27:04Speaker 3: Johnny Carson and Jay Leno and like really fun late
- 27:09Speaker 3: night comedy. And by the way, if you've got a
- 27:11Speaker 3: sense of humor, you can laugh at both sides. I'm
- 27:13Speaker 3: okay with late night comics making fun of Republicans, making
- 27:16Speaker 3: fun of Democrats. Look, both sides are funny. There's lots
- 27:19Speaker 3: of jokes to tell. There used to be a time.
- 27:22Speaker 3: I've been the Senate thirteen years. When I got there,
- 27:25Speaker 3: it was part of the job. I've done just about
- 27:27Speaker 3: every late night show. I've done Jay Leno, I've done Colbert,
- 27:31Speaker 3: I've done Jimmy Kimmel, I've done Jimmy Fallon. It was
- 27:37Speaker 3: a fun part of the job. It's disappeared none of
- 27:41Speaker 3: the late night shows have Republicans on anymore. They don't
- 27:44Speaker 3: invite anyone. In fact, it was really fitting Stephen Colbert's
- 27:48Speaker 3: show where he announced I've been canceled, I'm pulled off
- 27:51Speaker 3: the air. You know who his guest was Adam Shiff
- 27:54Speaker 3: because of course it was Adam Shiff because and Colbert's
- 27:58Speaker 3: the worst of them. He's a vicious, nasty So I
- 28:02Speaker 3: remember when when I first did a show. You know,
- 28:04Speaker 3: you know, the hosts come by and they talk to
- 28:06Speaker 3: you in the green room, and and they chat with you,
- 28:09Speaker 3: and and you know, I said, look like all of
- 28:12Speaker 3: these late night comics they think they're going to be
- 28:15Speaker 3: you know that they're going to be this like meet
- 28:18Speaker 3: the press, Like we're going to ask you really tough questions.
- 28:21Speaker 3: By the way, Democrats they have love fests, they laugh,
- 28:25Speaker 3: they joke, they kid around. But with the Republicans, they're
- 28:29Speaker 3: going to nail you to the ground. And I'm like, look,
- 28:32Speaker 3: you want to ask tough questions, that's fine, But you
- 28:34Speaker 3: go on a late night comedy showed to to to humanize,
- 28:38Speaker 3: to say a little bit of who you are to laugh,
- 28:40Speaker 3: and Colbert just got angry. He's just like, I want
- 28:43Speaker 3: to prove you are evil. You are the devil. And
- 28:47Speaker 3: by the way, they don't even do that anymore. They
- 28:49Speaker 3: just don't have Republicans on and and Colbert, of all
- 28:53Speaker 3: of them, was the worst. By the way, Jimmy Fallon
- 28:54Speaker 3: of the late night guys is the best.
- 28:57Speaker 1: Yeah, Fallin.
- 28:57Speaker 3: You know, it's interesting Fallin inherited Jay Leno's audience. Jay
- 29:02Speaker 3: Leno inherited Johnny Carson's audience. Their audience is a lot
- 29:06Speaker 3: of Midwestern conservatives. And so Jimmy Fallon like like, I
- 29:11Speaker 3: had a great time. I did Jimmy Fallon back back
- 29:13Speaker 3: when I was running for president. He had a very
- 29:15Speaker 3: funny skit where he dressed up as as as Donald
- 29:19Speaker 3: Trump and and called me and went back and forth.
- 29:21Speaker 3: But he was he was the one late night host
- 29:24Speaker 3: who was not a jerk. Actually Leno wasn't either, but
- 29:27Speaker 3: that was that was early on. Colbert is directly responsible,
- 29:33Speaker 3: along with his compatriots, with destroying late night comedy.
- 29:36Speaker 1: And I want to play by the way, it's because
- 29:39Speaker 1: it wasn't humor.
- 29:40Speaker 3: It's not funny.
- 29:41Speaker 1: It's just I hate you. I hate you. It is
- 29:43Speaker 1: not funny.
- 29:45Speaker 2: Yeah, it's also By the way, the reason why I
- 29:46Speaker 2: think Shank Gillis was at the s p's because historians
- 29:50Speaker 2: like humor. Humor is actually back, and Colbert turned his
- 29:54Speaker 2: show into this like sanctimonious woke lecture every night, attacking
- 29:59Speaker 2: half of a mayor.
- 30:00Speaker 3: Well, and let me prove it. I want to play
- 30:02Speaker 3: just just a a selection of you know, he became
- 30:07Speaker 3: this this like scold for you must get the COVID vaccine.
- 30:11Speaker 3: And here are a couple of examples of this bizarre
- 30:14Speaker 3: song he did. You're gonna listen to it. I wish
- 30:16Speaker 3: you could see the videos because the videos have him
- 30:20Speaker 3: dancing like a fruitcake nut dressed as a human syringe.
- 30:25Speaker 3: But just listen to it because you can get a
- 30:27Speaker 3: sense of just how sanctimonious he was. Give a listen.
- 30:30Speaker 4: Find out the way the vaccine is changing the scene
- 30:34Speaker 4: in our new recurring segment, the vac scene longer stall.
- 31:00Speaker 4: Why the can can you ask? I asked that myself.
- 31:04Speaker 4: The answer public domain. It's the answer of most things, really.
- 31:10Speaker 7: The vaccine shot, the vaccine. We have a vaccine.
- 31:33Speaker 3: Get your shot right now in your arm.
- 31:37Speaker 5: Your mom get.
- 31:38Speaker 3: Your shot, your mom.
- 31:42Speaker 1: Get your shot.
- 31:50Speaker 2: But by the way, I just wonder, like how many
- 31:52Speaker 2: of those segments had vaccine commercials from pharmaceutical companies in there,
- 31:56Speaker 2: and it's like, hey, I got you, I'll do a
- 31:58Speaker 2: big thing.
- 31:59Speaker 3: They play in this even Colbert sponsored by Pfizer.
- 32:02Speaker 2: Right exactly, they put this thing out. It's ten minutes
- 32:05Speaker 2: and forty nine seconds long. By the way, I say
- 32:07Speaker 2: they literally the video we just played for you was
- 32:10Speaker 2: the quote vaccine the box set the Late Show with
- 32:13Speaker 2: Stephen Colbert.
- 32:14Speaker 1: They put this out themselves and were that proud of it.
- 32:19Speaker 3: Now they were proud of it. And it's it's vicious,
- 32:22Speaker 3: it's nasty, and it's not funny, like I'm fine with
- 32:28Speaker 3: a comedy host that makes fun of everyone. That's you know,
- 32:32Speaker 3: one of my favorite movies. And we didn't include this
- 32:34Speaker 3: one we did on July fourth our our movie section.
- 32:37Speaker 3: But one of my favorite movies was Team America World.
- 32:39Speaker 3: Please did you ever see that?
- 32:41Speaker 1: Ben?
- 32:42Speaker 6: Oh?
- 32:42Speaker 3: Yeah, great movie, hysterical movie, and it's done. It is.
- 32:47Speaker 3: It's puppets and it makes fun of both sides and
- 32:50Speaker 3: make fun of Republicans, but it makes fun of Democrats
- 32:53Speaker 3: and it's now I will warn you it is profane.
- 32:55Speaker 3: I had the incredibly poor judgment to play this video
- 32:59Speaker 3: for my laws on a family vacation, and I will
- 33:02Speaker 3: tell you about nine minutes into it, when they had
- 33:05Speaker 3: dropped the thirty second F bomb, I was like, okay, wow,
- 33:09Speaker 3: this was a really bad idea. And my mother in
- 33:11Speaker 3: law is frowning at me, and I'm like, wow, okay,
- 33:14Speaker 3: never mind. But unbelievably funny because it's actually comedy. It's
- 33:19Speaker 3: making fun just watching Stephen Colbert saying I hate Donald Trump. Yes, Stephen,
- 33:26Speaker 3: we got you. But you know what, Stephen Colbert is
- 33:29Speaker 3: now unemployed. He's been canceled. He's been canceled because, oddly enough,
- 33:34Speaker 3: Americans don't like to listen to someone screaming at them.
- 33:38Speaker 3: I hate you, I hate you, I hate you. I'm
- 33:39Speaker 3: smarter than you. I'm a left wing elitist. I make
- 33:42Speaker 3: millions of dollars and I despise you. And so I
- 33:45Speaker 3: got to say, in response to his musical medley urging
- 33:50Speaker 3: everyone you must get the vaccine, I have a different
- 33:53Speaker 3: musical medley that I want to say, not just to
- 33:55Speaker 3: Stephen Colbert, but also to NPR and and to PBS.
- 33:59Speaker 3: Here's my musical.
- 34:00Speaker 2: Boons, truly amazing. You gotta love that song right there.
- 34:15Speaker 2: Don't forget we do this podcast. The show, I say,
- 34:18Speaker 2: as a podcast three days a week, so make sure
- 34:21Speaker 2: you subscribe to Verdict with Ted Cruz wherever you get
- 34:25Speaker 2: your podcasts. Have a fabulous week the Cent and I
- 34:28Speaker 2: will see you back here on this radio station wherever
- 34:30Speaker 2: you are next weekend, and hopefully you'll hear us three
- 34:34Speaker 2: days a week on the podcast.
- 34:36Speaker 1: Have a great
