- 2:10Speaker 1: Yeah he is. It's good to all of us. Just
- 2:13Speaker 1: we gotta stop sometimes and acknowledge it. All the small
- 2:17Speaker 1: things that happened to you, that they're just direct favor
- 2:21Speaker 1: and blessings from God, all of them, all of them,
- 2:25Speaker 1: all of them. Man. So don't take it for granted.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Don't take for granted that you woke up this morning.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Please don't take that for granted. That's a great You
- 2:36Speaker 1: know what that says to me when he wakes me
- 2:38Speaker 1: up in the morning, When he wakes me up in
- 2:40Speaker 1: the morning, it says to me, Steve Harvey and you
- 2:44Speaker 1: can take this yourself. It says to me that God
- 2:47Speaker 1: ain't through with me yet, that God still has a
- 2:51Speaker 1: plan for me, that God still has a mission for me,
- 2:57Speaker 1: and that God still has blessings for me. So I
- 3:01Speaker 1: wake up every day and I try to realize. I
- 3:04Speaker 1: don't always do it, y'all. You know, sometimes I wake
- 3:07Speaker 1: up on the we're in the wrong side of the bed,
- 3:09Speaker 1: like you get off to a little rough stop. But
- 3:11Speaker 1: I catch myself always somewhere and I go, wait a minute, man,
- 3:15Speaker 1: hold on, you trip it? What you got your mouth
- 3:19Speaker 1: stick out about? What did you forget the blessing that
- 3:23Speaker 1: it is to wake up? Steve? For real? Man? So
- 3:25Speaker 1: you're gonna get up in and you're gonna and you're
- 3:28Speaker 1: gonna claim yourself not to be a morning person. Man,
- 3:31Speaker 1: you know what I mean? People out here say that
- 3:33Speaker 1: I'm not a morning person. Why would you lay claim
- 3:36Speaker 1: to that? Why would you make that part of your makeup?
- 3:39Speaker 1: I'm just not a morning person. When if things go right,
- 3:47Speaker 1: this is something you're gonna do every day the rest
- 3:49Speaker 1: of your life. Wake up. So you're gonna wake up
- 3:53Speaker 1: every day like that, and then you need certain things
- 3:57Speaker 1: to happen in a row in order for you to
- 3:59Speaker 1: get your motor star it or if or on order
- 4:01Speaker 1: for your day to get off the right way. If
- 4:03Speaker 1: you don't hear some bad news, that blow it. If
- 4:06Speaker 1: you get up to go to work, that blow it.
- 4:08Speaker 1: If you hit the alarm clock, the sign of your
- 4:10Speaker 1: alarm clock make me sick. Change it, Get another alarm clock.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Do something, dude, whatever you gotta do to start jump
- 4:16Speaker 1: starting your day so it doesn't start off where you
- 4:19Speaker 1: gotta acknowledge your fact or leading creage to the fact that, Hey,
- 4:22Speaker 1: I don't like mornings, man, I love mornings. Wake me
- 4:26Speaker 1: up in the morning. Thank you, man, Thank you for
- 4:28Speaker 1: waking me up in the morning. Thank you for giving
- 4:31Speaker 1: me a chance another. Thank you for not being through
- 4:33Speaker 1: with me yet. Man, Thank you for just getting me
- 4:36Speaker 1: up so I could just go do it again. So
- 4:39Speaker 1: you know, I just I just wanted to share that
- 4:42Speaker 1: piece with you today, but also I wanted to talk
- 4:46Speaker 1: to you about the process, the process of becoming successful
- 4:54Speaker 1: at whatever it is you want to become successful at.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Once again, when I'm talking about success, I'm not talking
- 5:01Speaker 1: about money. I'm talking about whatever you want to be
- 5:05Speaker 1: successful at. Now. If that's a financial thing, you're shooting
- 5:08Speaker 1: for a financial goal, Ain't nothing wrong with that. Cool.
- 5:11Speaker 1: This is for you. If you're trying to become a
- 5:14Speaker 1: success at school. This is for you. If you're trying
- 5:17Speaker 1: to become a success down at your job, in your
- 5:19Speaker 1: career choice. Cool, If you're trying to be successful in
- 5:23Speaker 1: a relationship. Cool. This is for everybody that's trying to
- 5:26Speaker 1: be successful on whatever level. Here it is. You must
- 5:33Speaker 1: understand the process. This is not instant coffee. We're making
- 5:42Speaker 1: here your success in whatever area concerns you. This ain't
- 5:49Speaker 1: instant coffee. Here, you put hot water on it, You
- 5:52Speaker 1: got coffee. This is the process. Let's let's matter of fact.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Let's use coffee as an example. A lot of people
- 6:03Speaker 1: are not successful because of just that they wanted to
- 6:06Speaker 1: be like instant coffee. Well, lot them put this hot
- 6:08Speaker 1: water on it. Why ain't I got coffee? Because you
- 6:11Speaker 1: gotta go through the process. Somebody has to plant something
- 6:18Speaker 1: to get a real good cup of coffee. Somebody got
- 6:22Speaker 1: to plant something, a seed in the ground. The seed
- 6:28Speaker 1: is covered with dirt. This is the process of becoming successful.
- 6:33Speaker 1: This ain't instant coffee. This ain't put hot water in it,
- 6:37Speaker 1: stir it up. Dash your coffee, start your day to
- 6:40Speaker 1: become successful. We all want this cup of coffee. But
- 6:44Speaker 1: this is the process. Somebody has to put a seed
- 6:47Speaker 1: in the ground. Somebody has to cover it with dirt.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Someone has to tend it, someone has to farm it.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Someone gotta look after it. Somebody gotta water, water it, nurturing,
- 7:01Speaker 1: fertilize it. Then that seed sprouts up out the ground
- 7:07Speaker 1: becomes a plant. Now this plant got to be tended
- 7:12Speaker 1: to water, nurtured, prune. Then after a couple of years
- 7:20Speaker 1: or some time goes by, that plant bears of fruit
- 7:25Speaker 1: or bears a plant, a vegetable, whatever they phrase it, well,
- 7:30Speaker 1: whatever they use as a turn for and it produces
- 7:33Speaker 1: a coffee bean. Now, this coffee bean has now got
- 7:37Speaker 1: to be harvested. It's gotta get picked. See the same
- 7:43Speaker 1: instant coffee y'ard, you know Jan Veil Day has gotta
- 7:47Speaker 1: come down a dunkey, you've seen the commercial. He gotta
- 7:51Speaker 1: pick it. Then they gotta package you. Then somebody gotta
- 7:57Speaker 1: ship it. Now after ship, it's a coffee being in
- 8:01Speaker 1: a package. But now guess what on this d over here,
- 8:05Speaker 1: somebody gotta pay for it. Then it's gotta be the
- 8:11Speaker 1: particular brand that you want, or it's gotta be the
- 8:15Speaker 1: brand that tastes best to you. Somebody got to purchase it.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Then we take that being home. Now, guess what we
- 8:22Speaker 1: gotta do. Still still got some work to do. If
- 8:25Speaker 1: you got coffee beans, you got to have a coffee grinder.
- 8:30Speaker 1: You got to meel it up to the right consistency.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Then you got to put it in your pot. You
- 8:37Speaker 1: gotta heat up some water to a to to a
- 8:39Speaker 1: certain temperature, and then you gotta get it to boiling.
- 8:43Speaker 1: I mean what you know, whatever temperature is, you gotta
- 8:45Speaker 1: get it to ball and the near balling or whatever.
- 8:48Speaker 1: And then it's got to do go through another process
- 8:50Speaker 1: called brewing. It's got to brew. Then when it's done
- 8:55Speaker 1: brewing and the roma feels the house and that fragrance
- 8:59Speaker 1: that you love so much to smell a coffee, if
- 9:01Speaker 1: you're a coffee drinker, but we're just using this as
- 9:03Speaker 1: an analogy, then you get to pull yourself a cup.
- 9:09Speaker 1: That's the process. You got to understand. There is a
- 9:15Speaker 1: process to becoming successful. Ain't no shortcut. There ain't no
- 9:20Speaker 1: instant coffee that tastes better than the coffee I just described,
- 9:24Speaker 1: And it don't last that long, and it don't belong
- 9:28Speaker 1: to you. You didn't earn it. It's instant. It just
- 9:35Speaker 1: don't taste the same. It's been freeze dried for your convenience.
- 9:42Speaker 1: The best coffee in the world is brewed. It's a process.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Your success is a process. Don't get deter by the process.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Don't give up because it seemed like it's too many steps.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Keep taking. Don't let the process stop you. Be determined.
- 10:17Speaker 1: As I always say, you got to get funky with
- 10:19Speaker 1: this thing. You. You got to be a little mean sometimes.
- 10:24Speaker 1: If you want to be a winner, you got to
- 10:26Speaker 1: be mean. You gotta have some dog in you. I'm
- 10:30Speaker 1: just gonna tell you the truth. You got to have
- 10:33Speaker 1: a dogged determination. You gotta lock on like a pit
- 10:37Speaker 1: bull and don't let go. You gotta be a sneak,
- 10:41Speaker 1: sniff it out like a bloodhound. You gotta be able
- 10:45Speaker 1: to run. You gotta be able to run like a wolf.
- 10:48Speaker 1: You gotta have some dog in your. Man. You can't
- 10:52Speaker 1: get determined. You got to go get it like a
- 10:56Speaker 1: Labrador retriever. You got to have some dog in you.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Don't let the process defeat you. That's what stops people
- 11:08Speaker 1: from becoming successful. That's why there aren't more successful people
- 11:13Speaker 1: in whatever area you're talking about, because the process gets
- 11:17Speaker 1: to him. I'm tired of playing. I'm tired of picking,
- 11:20Speaker 1: I'm tired of lines, and I'm tired of watering. I'm
- 11:23Speaker 1: tired of grinding. I'm tired of waiting. I won't I
- 11:27Speaker 1: want to cough for night. It's a process. Success as
- 11:31Speaker 1: a process. Don't turn around, y'all. Keep praying God to
- 11:36Speaker 1: help you keep moving. Let's go. You're listening to eighteen
- 11:47Speaker 1: minutes after that. I welcome to the ride, y'all. Steve

- 14:49Speaker 1: pick up? You know, you can tell when somebody didn't
- 14:52Speaker 1: hit ignore on you, you can you know it kind
- 14:54Speaker 1: of that's all sharply wise ringing. I know he didn't
- 14:57Speaker 1: send me to it, you know, I'm like, why don't
- 15:00Speaker 1: you pick up that? As soon as he want me?
- 15:01Speaker 1: Let me not answer that phone. I want you don't
- 15:05Speaker 1: ever want nothing. I can talk to you at work,
- 15:07Speaker 1: see when you're talking about nothing not. I mean that's
- 15:10Speaker 1: interesting because we all talk out of you know, outside
- 15:12Speaker 1: of the show on the phone. We all do do
- 15:17Speaker 1: y'all don't call me on the show because because where Yeah,
- 15:21Speaker 1: you're always busy. You're always busy, and tell me you

- 15:44Speaker 1: Did rich? Boys? Stop time to that man? How much
- 15:49Speaker 1: you made? Ye? Man? Three? You asked me that yesterday?
- 15:53Speaker 1: Were just never asking me that any three meal time? Hey,
- 15:57Speaker 1: do you know what talking? You didn't ask me how much?
- 15:59Speaker 1: Some call what I'm driving high? Let me tell you
- 16:03Speaker 1: and you know what idea that? Yeah, I feel bad
- 16:07Speaker 1: about doing. Yeah, I apologize for it's too late. I
- 16:19Speaker 1: mean your troughs. So let me ask you guys this,
- 16:29Speaker 1: Are you gonna bet any money? Are you in any
- 16:32Speaker 1: pools for the final four thing? I bet anybody that
- 16:37Speaker 1: won't have bet like a little office pool? Yeah? Who
- 16:41Speaker 1: you got? Who you think gonna with a junior? I'm
- 16:44Speaker 1: gonna think North Carolina gonna take it? Who you think
- 16:47Speaker 1: going with it? Tell me South Carolina? All right? I
- 16:51Speaker 1: bet on the dog? Who do you think see, I
- 16:55Speaker 1: think North Carolina. I think Organ might shock somebody too though. Okay,
- 17:00Speaker 1: but I did put up a thousand dollars on them
- 17:03Speaker 1: dog on Atlanta Falcons, and good god they hurt me
- 17:06Speaker 1: in the last quarter. Yeah, I put a grand up
- 17:11Speaker 1: on it. That's the last bet I did that one,
- 17:13Speaker 1: right there? You drop a thousand dollars on the bed.
- 17:16Speaker 1: That ain't nothing, dog dog, You know what? Can we
- 17:22Speaker 1: just talk and quick? Bringing the money part up? You up?
- 17:28Speaker 1: He always forgets. Okay, So is that the wager? A
- 17:32Speaker 1: thousand dollars? Is that what you guys are betting on
- 17:35Speaker 1: the final fours? I do a thousand with you. So
- 17:44Speaker 1: on the final four, y'all are betting each team that
- 17:47Speaker 1: you said to take the championship. Yes, North Carolina. Yeah,
- 17:53Speaker 1: you gotta get to you know. I mean, look, we
- 17:55Speaker 1: could be wrong. It could be some upsets. So I say,
- 17:58Speaker 1: let's bet each game was playing. Okay, Okay, who's playing?
- 18:03Speaker 1: You got? You got South Carolina against Gonzaga where versus
- 18:13Speaker 1: h North Carolina? Okay, that ain't gonna okay. Both games
- 18:17Speaker 1: are Saturday, April Fool's Day. Ahip game is next Monday
- 18:26Speaker 1: to third, So I'll tell you what. I'll bet you
- 18:28Speaker 1: on one game, Junior, you bet him on the other.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Now we we bet we're going on North Carolina. Oh,
- 18:36Speaker 1: y'all against me? Yeah? I didn't know that. God. Okay,
- 18:42Speaker 1: so I take South Carolina. I just y'all just tell me, no,
- 18:47Speaker 1: I'm not picking Gunzaga in the world. I'm not getting
- 18:55Speaker 1: that trying to trick me, all right. When we come
- 19:00Speaker 1: back from the break at thirty or four, after they'll
- 19:02Speaker 1: settle this. Sometime today, I guess something funny is coming up.
- 19:06Speaker 1: It's Roscoe Wallace. He'll be here to tell us what
- 19:08Speaker 1: we can expect when he performs at the Sand and

- 30:30Speaker 1: you playing? Are you serious? Come on, dog, y'all see

- 30:46Speaker 1: you yeah, I'm a man. I'm gona let my blood presson.
- 30:49Speaker 1: Calmed down. He told me, y'all listen to the show
- 30:52Speaker 1: on the Way. On the way that dropping the kids
- 30:53Speaker 1: off at school in the morning every morning. Dunk Oh man, Oh,
- 30:58Speaker 1: I know you weren't getting out that house, comes Sundy him.
- 31:02Speaker 1: Now we're nowhere. Oh but I'm already trying to say,
- 31:07Speaker 1: we're trying to give them another spight. Hey, man, keep pushing, bro.
- 31:09Speaker 1: I got one more thing, as man, what is the
- 31:12Speaker 1: baddest radio show in the land. You already note the
- 31:16Speaker 1: Steve Harvey morn Show. You're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 31:20Speaker 1: Morning Show. All right. Steve introduced miss Anne, Ladies and
- 31:26Speaker 1: gentlemen She's here, the one and only, the lovely miss
- 31:29Speaker 1: an true thank you, Good morning, Steve Corning, everybody out there,
- 31:35Speaker 1: sy holl of time and Junior everybody. This is answered
- 31:38Speaker 1: with the news sent a Minardi Leader Charles Schumer is
- 31:40Speaker 1: demanded House Speaker Paul Ryan get rid of Devin Nunez
- 31:43Speaker 1: as chairman of the House and Challenges Committee, and Nunias
- 31:46Speaker 1: his office has acknowledged that he viewed classified documents at
- 31:49Speaker 1: the White House, held to news conference, and briefed President
- 31:52Speaker 1: Trump on those documents secret documents, all without speaking to
- 31:56Speaker 1: any members of his committee or having the information properly
- 32:00Speaker 1: edit or evaluated by the committee. That's even though the
- 32:02Speaker 1: Palace in the midst of an investigation into possible Russian
- 32:05Speaker 1: ties with the Trump administration, Chairman Nuniaz is falling down
- 32:08Speaker 1: on the job and seems to be more interested in
- 32:13Speaker 1: protecting the president than in seeking the truth. The White
- 32:16Speaker 1: House says that since Trump had asked the Congress to
- 32:18Speaker 1: look into whether he'd been wire tapped, that had made
- 32:21Speaker 1: sense that Nunia has briefed him. But Nunia has you
- 32:23Speaker 1: poorly met with a secret source who told him that
- 32:25Speaker 1: members of Trump's transition team had been caught in quote
- 32:28Speaker 1: incidental surveillance. Schumer says that's at least that Nunyaz can
- 32:32Speaker 1: do is recuse himself. Another presidential executive order expected out today.
- 32:36Speaker 1: This one expected to undo President Obama's clean air program
- 32:39Speaker 1: for clean power or the Environmental Protection Agency's planned to
- 32:42Speaker 1: curb global warming. Trump's new EPH chief Scott Pruitt says
- 32:45Speaker 1: as much President Obama's regulations restricted greenhouse gas emissions from
- 32:49Speaker 1: coal power plants. Yours Attorney General Jeff Sessions putting the
- 32:53Speaker 1: full weight of the Justice Department behind President Trump's threat
- 32:56Speaker 1: to withhold more than four billion dollars worth of federal
- 32:59Speaker 1: grant uh in money and from sanctuary cities municipalities where
- 33:03Speaker 1: illegal immigrants have been protected from detention and deportation, and
- 33:07Speaker 1: the AG says that's a problem. Some states and cities
- 33:10Speaker 1: have adopted policies designed to frustrate this enforcement of immigration laws.
- 33:16Speaker 1: This includes refusing to detain non felons on the federal
- 33:20Speaker 1: detainer request or otherwise failing to comply with these laws. Now,
- 33:25Speaker 1: officials from Immigration and Customs Inforcement to say they've identified
- 33:30Speaker 1: jurisdictions that routinely refuse ice detainees and federal request for
- 33:35Speaker 1: local cops to hold non citizens until agents can pick
- 33:38Speaker 1: them up, and Alabama Megachurch is seeking to establish its
- 33:42Speaker 1: own police force a build to allow for that. Already
- 33:44Speaker 1: moving to the state Senate, the four thousand member Bridewood
- 33:47Speaker 1: Presbyterian Church in suburban Birmingham contends it in the wake
- 33:50Speaker 1: of the tragedy Sandy Hold and some mothers, it needs
- 33:53Speaker 1: its own cops. And today is National picture Book Day
- 33:56Speaker 1: and National Poultry Day. Now back to Steve Harvey mortorin
- 34:01Speaker 1: show all right, thank you missing? Okay, everyone's talking about
- 34:06Speaker 1: the Dave Chappelle comedy special Steve uh Dave talked about
- 34:10Speaker 1: how he didn't realize how successful Kevin Hart is. Okay,
- 34:14Speaker 1: Kevin Hurd is the man right now. Dave says he
- 34:16Speaker 1: learned the hard way when he took his son to
- 34:19Speaker 1: the Kevin Hart concert. Uh take a listen. So I
- 34:23Speaker 1: took him to the show and we go. We sit
- 34:25Speaker 1: right up front. The lights go down and one opening
- 34:27Speaker 1: that after another goes on. Then Kevin takes the stage.
- 34:31Speaker 1: Crowd goes nuts. Thousands of the people I was furious
- 34:38Speaker 1: for along with the show went on. The matter I
- 34:40Speaker 1: got because this show was outstanding. It's maddening these people
- 34:45Speaker 1: holding this stumps. My son was slapping to sleep that
- 34:50Speaker 1: do this too. Kevin says good night. The crowd goes crazy,
- 34:57Speaker 1: and then everyone starts walking to the door and lights
- 35:00Speaker 1: come on, and then my son is just standing there
- 35:03Speaker 1: looking at an empty stage. People are pushing past me
- 35:05Speaker 1: and nobody's recognized. Menace sucks. I said, come on, so
- 35:11Speaker 1: let's get out of here. And then my son looks
- 35:13Speaker 1: back at me and he says, Dad, please, please, I
- 35:16Speaker 1: have to meet him. That was outstanding and so honest,
- 35:22Speaker 1: so honest. That was so honest. He was furious for
- 35:29Speaker 1: I was furious, but he knew his dad could hook
- 35:37Speaker 1: him up. Though, Dad, I've got to meet him. Man.
- 35:41Speaker 1: That was funny. He said. No one was recognizing him.
- 35:46Speaker 1: This place sucks. So here's our question of the week. Okay,
- 35:53Speaker 1: having heard all of that, here's our question of the week.
- 35:57Speaker 1: Call and tell us who you are jealous of? And
- 36:00Speaker 1: and you just never admit it, but you are jealous
- 36:03Speaker 1: of someone? And part two, who do your kids really
- 36:06Speaker 1: look up to? Who do they admire? Eight seven seven
- 36:09Speaker 1: nine Steve? And as usual, let's go ahead and start
- 36:13Speaker 1: with you, Steve, break the Ice, Come on, well, we
- 36:16Speaker 1: might well start with Tom and we're starting with you. Jealous.
- 36:25Speaker 1: I'm not really jealous of anybody, um, not to my knowledge,
- 36:30Speaker 1: because I mean now I'm pretty secure. Why I am.
- 36:37Speaker 1: Maybe back in the day, yeah, back in the day. Yeah,
- 36:44Speaker 1: George Wallace, George beata because he was like so successful.
- 36:52Speaker 1: He crushed over and yeah making that money, and I
- 36:56Speaker 1: mean like he would like he had to opening line.
- 37:01Speaker 1: He would walk out on stage and go all these
- 37:04Speaker 1: comedians galking up down about how y'all doing the day
- 37:07Speaker 1: and how you feeling the day? I don't give a
- 37:11Speaker 1: blank how you feel? And he would just start his
- 37:14Speaker 1: show at that point. I don't want, man, who this
- 37:17Speaker 1: dude thank he is when he don't be nice to
- 37:19Speaker 1: this crowd. He never did that. He just used to
- 37:22Speaker 1: walk out and go, I don't give a blank how
- 37:25Speaker 1: you you're gonna feel better? Well when I leave here.
- 37:29Speaker 1: That's what I did. I was my older moment, and
- 37:35Speaker 1: you guys are still friends to this day. So he
- 37:38Speaker 1: taught me a lot. George Wallace taught me a lot.
- 37:42Speaker 1: He was the first black headliner I had ever seen.
- 37:46Speaker 1: J Anthony Brown was the first black headliner I ever
- 37:50Speaker 1: worked with. You know, had never heard of a black headliner.
- 37:58Speaker 1: I didn't know they exist to George Wallace. And then
- 38:02Speaker 1: my first gig I ever got on the road professionally
- 38:05Speaker 1: was with Jay Anthony Brown place calling comedy club. Huh,
- 38:12Speaker 1: you ain't having fun till you did a show with
- 38:14Speaker 1: J Buddy. It is a it's different, trust me, because
- 38:20Speaker 1: backstage that jb something else. I mean, hey, man, man
- 38:25Speaker 1: me thirty minutes, man a man, I don't know about that.
- 38:30Speaker 1: Ain't notting man. He'd be nervous as all get out.
- 38:35Speaker 1: Question is who you're jealous of? That's what the question? Yeah,
- 38:37Speaker 1: that's what he said. It's your turn town. I ain't
- 38:41Speaker 1: jelso nobody what it's just what test nobody? You know,
- 38:54Speaker 1: you know you just gonna say it. And I'm just
- 38:56Speaker 1: gonna say and y'all and y'all know him, right, y'all.
- 38:58Speaker 1: Don't think Tommy want to be on Steve? What do
- 39:06Speaker 1: you stop stop to? What? What did you say? He
- 39:09Speaker 1: wants to be me? What do you I very Steve
- 39:22Speaker 1: wants to be so Steve is jealous of you, George
- 39:24Speaker 1: Wallace and you That's what? How was so funny? That?
- 39:31Speaker 1: But what I want laughing I'm sorry. Tell me I'm not.
- 39:38Speaker 1: I want to be you know, I'm not laughing for
- 39:43Speaker 1: I want to stop being six to get down the
- 39:47Speaker 1: low gave me man, I want to be fine. Now.
- 39:52Speaker 1: You can't shrink his hands? Why why would I want
- 39:58Speaker 1: to rag it more? Rocke can't raise his butt up
- 40:04Speaker 1: that hi you want? I'm not laughing, Tommy, this is
- 40:12Speaker 1: funny laughing. I'm gonna do with a little bit straight
- 40:21Speaker 1: for the break. There is a part two to the
- 40:30Speaker 1: sell everything I got up. There is a part two
- 40:44Speaker 1: to the question Steve, who do your kids admire? J
- 40:53Speaker 1: after to me? What you tell me? You're listening to
- 40:57Speaker 1: morning show eighteen minutes up hour. I'm sorry, Up Steel Laddin, Augustine,
- 41:06Speaker 1: you want to be men heavy? Oh god? Okay he's here. Okay,
- 41:23Speaker 1: everybody breathe, Okay, he's here. Ladies and gentlemen, prepare yourselves,
- 41:27Speaker 1: you gen. The Butterfly blog log has been interesting and
- 41:31Speaker 1: later a lot of things have gone. It's been sort
- 41:34Speaker 1: of a takeover. We don't know what's coming next. So still,
- 41:45Speaker 1: I'm sorry. Up steel Laddin, Augustine, you want to be
- 41:49Speaker 1: men heavy? Oh god? Okay, he's here. Okay, everybody, breathe. Okay,
- 42:07Speaker 1: he's here. Leges and gentlemen, prepare yourself. So Eugene Butterfly
- 42:11Speaker 1: blog log has been interesting and late, a lot of
- 42:14Speaker 1: things have gone. It's been sort of a takeover. We
- 42:18Speaker 1: don't know what's coming next, so stay with us. Okay,
- 42:22Speaker 1: Good morning everyone, Stephen, Tommy, Shirley Carler Jr. Good morning
- 42:26Speaker 1: to everyone. Sorry, did you your question of the day?
- 42:40Speaker 1: I did hear the question, but Stephen, but go ahead
- 42:47Speaker 1: saying I want to nobody want to be no time.
- 42:59Speaker 1: And let me say with Stephen, that day is the
- 43:03Speaker 1: day we make a decision on this show. We're gonna
- 43:05Speaker 1: have a Eugene open meal vote and when you go,
- 43:08Speaker 1: you are going to be voting and decide who you
- 43:10Speaker 1: want at this segment right here, right now. We're not
- 43:13Speaker 1: going any further. Right now, We're gonna make a decision.
- 43:16Speaker 1: That's a tough call because we like you both. I
- 43:19Speaker 1: like you both, so I can't split my vote. But
- 43:23Speaker 1: I will vote for you because you were here first.
- 43:26Speaker 1: Thank you. One vote for me from Shirley Carla. Man,
- 43:33Speaker 1: isn't it is stuff? Hey? Cod? Will you yeah? Hi?
- 43:39Speaker 1: Check me at night? The voting This stuff about right
- 43:44Speaker 1: this ain't not said to do so if this he'll
- 43:47Speaker 1: go row I already it's all here. Why do you
- 43:51Speaker 1: think you should have the segment open? I think I
- 43:54Speaker 1: could bring some more. I think I can bring a
- 43:57Speaker 1: lot of flavor to the segment. I think I can know, uh,
- 44:00Speaker 1: give people who something to think about on the way
- 44:02Speaker 1: to work, you know, just just just a variety of
- 44:06Speaker 1: things what I think I can hand it. So just
- 44:08Speaker 1: just what I'm asking you, baby, Gril, vote for your
- 44:12Speaker 1: boy and you Jay, why do you think you should

- 46:33Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Hardy Morning Show. Our question
- 46:37Speaker 1: of the week during Dave Chappelle's comedy special Day found
- 46:40Speaker 1: out the hard way how successful really successful? Balling Kevin
- 46:45Speaker 1: Hardy is Okay? Dave had to take his son to
- 46:49Speaker 1: Kevin Hart's concert, and Dave was serious about it. So
- 46:52Speaker 1: our question of the week is call us and tell
- 46:56Speaker 1: us who you're jealous of and never admitted? And Part two,
- 46:59Speaker 1: who do you kids admire? Eight seven seven Steve Let's
- 47:10Speaker 1: go to line five and talk to Mario out of Tennessee. Mario, Yes,
- 47:14Speaker 1: good morning, he was up. Mario's good Uh. Yeah, this
- 47:20Speaker 1: is about the jealousy that I had my uh he
- 47:22Speaker 1: was my best friend. Name same with George and right
- 47:27Speaker 1: at the same time we got our first car in
- 47:29Speaker 1: high school. I had a blessing of an old Christler
- 47:33Speaker 1: that I always wanted. It wasn't anything to fancy, but
- 47:36Speaker 1: it was a nice car. George. Everything George Ella did
- 47:41Speaker 1: or had was better in mind. I mean, I was
- 47:45Speaker 1: jealous of a lot of things, but I learned to
- 47:48Speaker 1: compensate for certain inadequacy, if you know what I mean.
- 47:54Speaker 1: But he rolled up on me. He rolled up on
- 47:57Speaker 1: me one day in this nineteen seventy one doing Grand
- 48:01Speaker 1: Sport Canary yellow black top four fifty five shining rims.
- 48:10Speaker 1: It was an awesome vehicle, and I and he knew
- 48:14Speaker 1: that I always talked about this car what I wanted.
- 48:19Speaker 1: He goes and buys the car. Man, I was so hot.
- 48:25Speaker 1: I was so mad. I mean, like, I don't even
- 48:28Speaker 1: want to talk about how mad I was. Mario, You're
- 48:32Speaker 1: still man. I'm feel man, Man, I am I traveled
- 48:37Speaker 1: doing I t work. I'm looking at junkyards trying to
- 48:41Speaker 1: sign this car. That's how I said I wanted it.
- 48:48Speaker 1: I was in Nashville yesterday and I'm looking at junk yards.
- 48:52Speaker 1: Seems like I'm finding this doing grand sport. I mean
- 48:56Speaker 1: it was awesome, But I was jealous at George. I
- 49:00Speaker 1: mean I could, I could compensate for everything else I
- 49:02Speaker 1: was jealous about. He was funnier than me, like Dave Shapay,
- 49:05Speaker 1: a funny. The only thing I had on George was
- 49:08Speaker 1: an AQ. I had a higher IQ, but George rubbed
- 49:13Speaker 1: it in. He rubbed it in. So what I did,
- 49:17Speaker 1: I did two things. The first thing I did I
- 49:21Speaker 1: got was the enemy of my enemy is my friend,
- 49:25Speaker 1: as they say. So I got with another guy to
- 49:28Speaker 1: get like George had this car, and I paid him.
- 49:32Speaker 1: Every time we knew George got paid, I paid this
- 49:36Speaker 1: friend of mine was flattened one of his tires. We
- 49:45Speaker 1: every time he got paid, he was buying something new
- 49:47Speaker 1: for this deal man. Every time he got paid, he
- 49:50Speaker 1: went buying something for this car. Stop ride in my car.
- 50:02Speaker 1: I had the ride in his car and if I
- 50:05Speaker 1: wrote in it, he wouldn't let me drive it, and
- 50:10Speaker 1: had hardwood on the inside. It had the stick sheelds
- 50:14Speaker 1: in the middle. This car was tough, man, it was
- 50:19Speaker 1: you need to let it go. Man. Its two. He's
- 50:26Speaker 1: still looking for the part I'm looking for her. Yeah, man,
- 50:30Speaker 1: you know what. I came here afoard this car. If
- 50:32Speaker 1: you've got one now, if the cars worth like fifty
- 50:34Speaker 1: six dollars, it's a classic. So many Oh yeah, doing
- 50:39Speaker 1: grand sports she is. Anyway. The second thing I did,
- 50:44Speaker 1: I was a smart kid, so I had all my
- 50:46Speaker 1: classes were with white kids. So I paid these white
- 50:50Speaker 1: girls ride in my car with me. Yea, And I
- 50:58Speaker 1: wanted to make him jealous. Man, I pay the white
- 51:00Speaker 1: like ten dollars just to get in my car if
- 51:02Speaker 1: you take them home. And I right by his car.
- 51:08Speaker 1: I get up next to his car, and the white
- 51:10Speaker 1: picks were saying, whose cars back? You get out? You're listening, hey, y'all,
- 51:24Speaker 1: we're back when we come back at the top of
- 51:26Speaker 1: that hour. We got a strawberry ladder. But right now,
- 51:28Speaker 1: the food the king of pranks in the building. I
- 51:32Speaker 1: got it for you on just right here is uh

- 52:16Speaker 1: actually try to lend you our services. We understand that
- 52:19Speaker 1: you're having a few problems and want to see if
- 52:22Speaker 1: maybe WCS can bring um a better life to you
- 52:25Speaker 1: and you can have a uh an exciting life better
- 52:28Speaker 1: than the one you have. Now. Who is it who WS?
- 52:32Speaker 1: We are with Wife Correctional Services, sir w CS. What
- 52:35Speaker 1: it is is we take your wife for a couple
- 52:37Speaker 1: of weeks and we reprogram them so that it's of
- 52:40Speaker 1: course you have to sign a waiver contract, but we
- 52:42Speaker 1: take your wife and we reprogrammed them so that they
- 52:45Speaker 1: will act in a fashion of what you want them
- 52:47Speaker 1: to act. Okay, okay, whatever. Let see, sir, what it
- 52:52Speaker 1: is that we've gotten some We've gotten some reports that
- 52:55Speaker 1: you've been having some problems with with your particular wife.
- 52:58Speaker 1: And I mean where you located that we're here in St. Louis, sir,
- 53:04Speaker 1: And don't worry, We're totally confidential. This is not anything
- 53:07Speaker 1: that's gonna get out um. And and your your names
- 53:10Speaker 1: are never submitted. First of all, here's here's something we
- 53:13Speaker 1: can do. I can ask you questions because we've been
- 53:15Speaker 1: notified that this is probably a service that you would
- 53:17Speaker 1: probably want. Now, Um, has your wife ever snapped on
- 53:21Speaker 1: you in public and snapped on me? I mean what
- 53:25Speaker 1: I mean, she my wife ain't crazy. Don't just snap
- 53:28Speaker 1: on me. She might, you know, try to check me,
- 53:30Speaker 1: uh say something. You know what I'm saying. She's just
- 53:32Speaker 1: gonna snap on me. So your wife your so, your
- 53:35Speaker 1: wife has tried to check you. It's what you're saying,
- 53:37Speaker 1: not check me per se. I mean she might. She
- 53:40Speaker 1: might not like some mom doing it, might say something
- 53:42Speaker 1: about it. So basically your wife is not in her
- 53:46Speaker 1: place where she needs to be hold on. I mean
- 53:48Speaker 1: what I mean. She might say something, you know. I mean,
- 53:52Speaker 1: I might be doing something more, you know, it might
- 53:54Speaker 1: be with my boys and might get out of control
- 53:56Speaker 1: a little bit. She might just say something at the time,
- 53:58Speaker 1: But she don't just trying to all out check nobody.
- 54:00Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. Okay, okay, okay, I'll tell
- 54:02Speaker 1: you what. Let me ask you this one. Have you
- 54:04Speaker 1: ever just had some plans with your guys. We're gonna
- 54:06Speaker 1: go out and had to change your plans because, um,
- 54:09Speaker 1: your wife. Well, I mean, if like I'm just come
- 54:13Speaker 1: about hanging out and I ain't let her know or something,
- 54:15Speaker 1: she might you know, be like, well, baby had plans,
- 54:18Speaker 1: you know, can you stay home with the boys or something.
- 54:20Speaker 1: But I mean, I mean nothing on the regular. You know,
- 54:23Speaker 1: I usually do what I want to do. It seems
- 54:25Speaker 1: like denial. Okay, here's another one, sir. Well, no, just listen.
- 54:29Speaker 1: Hear me out. Now, let me ask you this. Um
- 54:31Speaker 1: has your wife. Let's say, back when Michael Jordan was
- 54:34Speaker 1: playing basketball, did you ever miss a playoff game on
- 54:37Speaker 1: television because your wife wanted to watch something else? No? Man,
- 54:41Speaker 1: we got two TVs in my house. Man, I wish. No.
- 54:44Speaker 1: I don't even get down. I mean I might have
- 54:45Speaker 1: to watch the little TV, but I mean I usually
- 54:48Speaker 1: watch it on the big Sure. Yeah, but but you're
- 54:51Speaker 1: doing You've been pushed to watching the smaller television. No.
- 54:55Speaker 1: I wasn't pushed to do nothing. Man. What I'm trying
- 54:57Speaker 1: to tell you is, I mean we compromise. We do
- 54:59Speaker 1: f in my house. I mean, she might get the
- 55:01Speaker 1: big TV to watch your stories or something, and I
- 55:03Speaker 1: just have to go watch the the TV. Let's TV
- 55:06Speaker 1: do go out of here? Wants to see? So cool
- 55:09Speaker 1: with that. I'm cool with that. With that. So you're
- 55:13Speaker 1: you're actually the one that's programmed. And ain't nothing wrong
- 55:16Speaker 1: with my wife, ain't nothing wrong with my family? Understand.
- 55:20Speaker 1: Let me The reason why I'm asking you these particular
- 55:22Speaker 1: questions is because someone has actually let me know the
- 55:26Speaker 1: problems that are at hand in your household. Let me
- 55:29Speaker 1: ask you. I got one question for you. Here's what
- 55:30Speaker 1: I want to ask you. Has your wife ever cussed
- 55:33Speaker 1: you out at a family cookout? Man? Hold on, man,
- 55:36Speaker 1: you know what you're getting a little personal? Man? Is
- 55:39Speaker 1: this even legal? Man, I'm here, I'm here, I've never heard.
- 55:47Speaker 1: This is something new. Is definitely saying something new. I mean,
- 55:50Speaker 1: don't make me be your guinea pig. Don't don't start.
- 55:53Speaker 1: I'll calling me trying to get you know, referrals, the
- 55:56Speaker 1: client tell or whatever it is you're trying to do. Man,
- 55:58Speaker 1: don't call me with this, not said partner. And I
- 56:01Speaker 1: completely understand that WCS, Sir, is here to benefit you.
- 56:06Speaker 1: No benefit to me, man, getting I look at my
- 56:08Speaker 1: personal business one and what's going on in mind? I
- 56:10Speaker 1: was old? Okay, Well, last thing I want to ask you,
- 56:13Speaker 1: and this is the last question I have for you.
- 56:15Speaker 1: Make it, make this the last straight up? Okay, have
- 56:19Speaker 1: you do you? Do you buy your own clothes? Or
- 56:22Speaker 1: does she buy? The man? This man? You whatever coming?
- 56:26Speaker 1: This is dog? Don't call nouse no more? And whatever
- 56:29Speaker 1: put you up to this? Whoever give you my number?
- 56:31Speaker 1: Talking about my wife? Checked me, got me under control,
- 56:35Speaker 1: got me on lock man. You tell him too. Don't
- 56:38Speaker 1: call me no more? Are you are you? Are you
- 56:41Speaker 1: in denying? No, don't call no more. I'm gonna tell
- 56:45Speaker 1: you what, George Foreman or whatever it's Marcus, It's Marcus,
- 56:50Speaker 1: whoever you are, George Foreman, Marcus. Hey, I'm gonna tell
- 56:54Speaker 1: you right now. I'm gonna find no one. Yea, I'll
- 56:56Speaker 1: located dog. I'm coming down there and I'm gonna blush
- 56:58Speaker 1: you that you get my person. So you're ready, you're
- 57:00Speaker 1: ready to retaliate on me, but notal. But you don't
- 57:04Speaker 1: want to retaliate on the problems you have with your wife. Retaliation. Man,
- 57:08Speaker 1: When I'm saying you're calling my house, I'm minding my
- 57:11Speaker 1: own And if you're worried about who you're watching what
- 57:13Speaker 1: TV in my house and my wife checking me in public?
- 57:16Speaker 1: I want, man? Hey, do look mr? Don't you want
- 57:20Speaker 1: to watch the big television? Big TV? Man? I'm comfortable
- 57:23Speaker 1: with the TV. I got you know what I'm saying.
- 57:25Speaker 1: It's in my room. I can across the bed watch
- 57:28Speaker 1: whatever I want you whenever I want. Don't you want
- 57:30Speaker 1: to be able to go out with when you want
- 57:32Speaker 1: to with my partners? Doll not? It's like you need
- 57:35Speaker 1: to get partners. You call it what you wanna do
- 57:40Speaker 1: to me? And your wife has already done to you.
- 57:42Speaker 1: I see you got you, Damn. I'm gona block. What's
- 57:44Speaker 1: your phone number? Man? Give me something? Tell me where
- 57:47Speaker 1: to find you? Why are you in denial? I'm gonna
- 57:51Speaker 1: tell you what's you need to get your wife checked
- 57:53Speaker 1: in the wife Correctional services so that you can live
- 57:56Speaker 1: a better life. Whoever? Man, I need to get a life, man?
- 58:01Speaker 1: Can I get to life? Man? Stop calling me? Do
- 58:04Speaker 1: for real? I understand it? Can I say one more
- 58:06Speaker 1: thing that you say? Straight up? Listen to me, sir? Yeah?
- 58:10Speaker 1: What what this is? Nephew? Time? Me from the Steve
- 58:13Speaker 1: Harvard the Morning Show. You just got cranked by your
- 58:17Speaker 1: boyd justin know what? Hey? Hey, hey, okay y'all got
- 58:30Speaker 1: me mine? What is the baddest radio show in the land?
- 58:34Speaker 1: You are even with you my boy Steve Harvey doing
- 58:37Speaker 1: in the morning on the Steve Harvey Mornings. Your partner,
- 58:40Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Buckle up
- 58:49Speaker 1: a hold on time. We got it for you. Here
- 58:51Speaker 1: it is strawberry letter. Alright subject, This is a crazy
- 58:55Speaker 1: letter right here. Pregnant, married and panicking. Good morning, Stephen Shirley.
- 59:02Speaker 1: I am a married, nine months pregnant female seeking advice
- 59:07Speaker 1: about my current situation. I have been married to my
- 59:10Speaker 1: husband for five years and we are expecting what I
- 59:13Speaker 1: hope is our first child. There is a strong possibility
- 59:17Speaker 1: that this child may not be my husband's. For years,
- 59:22Speaker 1: I have sought the attention of sexual relationships with other men.
- 59:27Speaker 1: Although I do love my husband and we have a
- 59:29Speaker 1: great sexual relationship, I cannot stop seeking out sexual relationships
- 59:34Speaker 1: with other men. I have sought counseling about my sexual issues.
- 59:38Speaker 1: Can he believe this? But nothing has deterred me from
- 59:41Speaker 1: seeking out more sexual partners. My issue is that I
- 59:45Speaker 1: am not sure if I should tell my husband about
- 59:47Speaker 1: my addiction. More importantly, should I tell him that this
- 59:51Speaker 1: baby may not be his. The closer we get to
- 59:54Speaker 1: my due date, the more these issues are weighing on
- 59:57Speaker 1: my mind. I'm scared he's not going to understand my
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: illness and he'll abandon me. But I know that I
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: can keep living that. I can't keep living this lie.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: How do I approach him and make him understand that
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: I'm sick and it has nothing to do with him.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: I really love him, and that's why I'm so tormented
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: about this lie I have been living signed? Is there
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: any hope left? Wow? Uh? Dear? Is there any hope left? Um?
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: Two questions always come to mind when we get these
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: kinds of letters. Why why did you get married in
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: the first place? I mean, you've been this way for
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: years your words, you said this in your letter. I
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: don't understand why you would put your husband through this,
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: Why you would put your new baby through this that
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: may not even be his second? That equally is important,
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: because again, we always ask these types of questions when
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: we get these letters. You know, why don't you use protection?
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: I don't get that you're all about having sex with
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: who knows who? You know? This is just stupid, uh,
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: stupid because you know you do and this. You don't
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: even know who the father is and you're not using protection.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: You know, do you want to contract a disease that
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: could potentially kill you? I just don't get this sexual
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: edition addiction. Maybe you know, I'm not I don't know.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: I'm not an expert in that area. But this is
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: just sick. You're right, this is an illness. You are sick.
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: You need help. You know. UM, you're ruining lives here.
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: I don't see why, UM any other way to put
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: this to you. You say you thought counseling, well and
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: it didn't work. Think it again, you know, go someplace
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: else to get counseling. Sink the lord. You know, I
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: just see you as a selfish, cheating woman. Steve wow
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: Dann like my answer at all? At all? At all.
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: Let's have it though. Pregnant, married and panicking. Okay, here
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: we go, these ladies married, she's nine months pregnant and uh,
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: she's been married to her husband for five years and
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: she's expecting what I hope is our first child. Well,
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: the reason she's hoping it is because there's a possibility
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: that the child may not be the husband's. Okay, now
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: we're on the ad on the web cast. Now you
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: can just go and see what we're doing. It's not
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: gonna change anything I'm about to say. But there's a
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: strong possibility that the child may not be her husband.
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: Then she says, for years, I've sought the attention of
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: sexual relationships with other men. Although I do love my
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: husband and we have a great sexual relationship. Okay, right there,
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: you love your husband, you have a great sexual relationship.
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: You're constantly seeking sexual attention from other men. What excuse me?
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: Why did you get married? Why don't you and your
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: husband having great sex? For you got married? What was it? Viowals,
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: what were you talking about? What was the commitment for?
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: What was what was any of it about? So I'm
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: I'm I'm right there, lady, just like any woman would
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: be with her husband if she finds out he cheats.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: Women always want That's the number one question, Steve. Why
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: do men cheat? It's so many reasons. But then when
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: you ask a woman why she cheats, I got to
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: assume that it must be so many reasons. Well, later
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: on in the letter, you have your reason. I cannot
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: stop seeking out sexual relationships from other men. You just
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: saw counseling about your issues. Now here's what you say.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: My issue is that I'm not sure if I should
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: tell my husband about my addiction. Well, let me tell you. So,
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: when you tell your husband about your addiction, that will
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: be your issue. See, you're not sure what your issue is,
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: and then you think your issue is you're not sure
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: if I should tell your husband about you. Let me
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: help you the one thing when you tell him. I
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: cannot describe the issue that you are about to have
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: in your life, young lady. I really feel badly for you.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: More importantly, should I tell him that this baby may
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: not be his? I don't know how you say that,
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: but I suggest very quietly. I think what you should
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: do is email him this information from Nairobi. We'll be
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: back there by keen y'all think you're listening to all right,
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: We're back, y'all eighteen minutes after the hour. We'll do
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: the rest of this right after this man. Come on, Lord,
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: can we do something else another segment? No, we cannot.
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: All right, Steve, you can do it. Okay? How you
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: talking to Tommy about him? If you won't, Okay, let's
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: get back to this letter. This woman is married for
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: five years. She's nine months pregnant. She loves having sex
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: outside of her marriage with other men. She doesn't know
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: how to tell it to her husband. The horrible thing
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: is she's pregnant now She's not sure if it's her
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: husband's baby. She wants to know from us, Um, should
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: I tell my husband about my addiction? More importantly, should
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: I tell him that this baby may not be his?
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: My suggestion is when you tell your husband that this
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: baby ain't his, please make sure that you are emailing
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: him from Ruby. That is the most important part in
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: this letter. This is not a face to face conversation
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: that I would recommend for safety factor. Men are just
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: not that good at this type of information. I'm so sorry,
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: but we are not listen to me, she said. The
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: closer I get to the due date, the more these
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: issues are weighing on my mind. Let me ask you something.
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: When you was having all that sex, was that ever
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: weighing on your mind? When you was outside your marriage
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: with all these dudes, with this unprotected sex, was it
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: ever weighing on your mind? Then? See it always heaving
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: hell now? But was it weighing on your mind? Then? Then?
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: She says, I'm scared he's not going to understand my illness. Lady,
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: you ain't got sign us. You know, ain't got your flute,
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: You ain't no stomach virus? Track what you're talking about?
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: You sure he's not gonna understand your illness? Saint no
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: illness addiction? No, no, no, no no, she ain't an illness.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: You're cheating like when you're man cheat. He can't come
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: to you. I I don't walk in go baby. Let
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: me tell you something. I tell you this. I want
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: you to know I have an illness? What is it?
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: Or sexual addiction? Okay, I'm cool with that. We've been
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: handling it well, I've been handling this some other places.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: See the illness is gonna go out the wonder And
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: and how do I approach him and make him understand
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: that I'm sick and it has nothing to do with him?
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: They ain't a man living. I know that you can
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: explain this to right here. I really really don't. Is
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: there any hope left? I don't know. I don't know
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: if it is any hope level. All I know is
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: you've been passing out your cooking like they fliers. You've
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: been putting them under the wifeles in. You got a
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: street team, but I got Street Team cooking all right.

- 1:11:07Speaker 1: intros from good morning everybody, good morning ladies, morning and
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: trick with the notes. Okay you wanna, We're gonna give
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: an update on that story. They went viral last week.
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: I did a little bit of yesterday. The title read,
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: fourteen girls have gone missing in the DC area in
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: the last twenty four hours. Let's give an update to
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: folks who were not up yesterday morning when I did
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: the story. Apparently, police say the claim is not entirely true.
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: On Friday, the city's Metro Police Department told NBC's local
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: affiliate that at no point in recent weeks have fourteen
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: girls disappear from the city on a single day. Rather,
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: DC has logged a toll of five hundred and one
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: cases of missing juveniles, many of them black and Latino,
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: and that as of March twenty six, all but twenty
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: two of those cases have been solved. Many of the
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: girls left home voluntarily. Of course, one missing person is
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: too many, and they say they are certainly certainly working
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: on the ones who are missing. But I just want
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: to alay some of the fears out there over this
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: particular story. Okay, Yeah, I just need to say that
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: President Trump is expected to issue an executive order today
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: design and make energy production easier in the US over
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: the objections of environmentalists. The new head of the Environmental
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: Protection Agency, Scott Pruitt, says the order is aimed at
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: rolling back President Obama's anti fossil fuel policy. He says
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: that on ABC's This Week, the executive order is going
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: to address the past administration's effort to kill jobs across
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: this country through the Clean Power Plan. Now, President Obama's
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: Clean Power Plan restricted greenhouse gas admissions at coal fired
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: power plans. The President said his plan was not designed
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: to kill jaws that rather create jobs, but in a
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: new sector, the green energy business, which was growing. The
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: Trump administration is renewing its promise to cut federal funding
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: to the so called sanctuary cities around the country. They
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: give shelter to people living in the USA illegally. U
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: s Attorney General Jeff Session says cities that refused to
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: help government enforce immigration law, like New York City, would
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: lose justice Department Moneys, the Department of require that juris

- 1:13:23Speaker 1: carry on NFL owners have okay, the Raiders moved to Vegas.
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: The team will stay in Oakland until the team stadium
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: is ready in about And today is National even Eskimo
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: Pie Day and National Let's Last Day. Something we do
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: on this show every day. And this is the Steve
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: Harvey Boarding Show. All right, thank you, Missanne. Now when
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: we come back from the break at forty eight, after
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: the hour, the question of the week eight seven seven nine, Steve,
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: who are you jealous of? What are your kids at? Mind?
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: I haven't answered to Court Hollins. All right, Oh yeah,
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: that's gonna be good. You're listening to Steve Show. Everybody
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: getting ready, We're gonna go to the phone. Eight seven
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: seven twenty nine. Steve who are you secretly or have
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: been jealous of? Or who do your kids admire that
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: you kind of a little ticked off about. Just in
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: light of that, let us know eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve,
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: we want to hear about the girls. Oh yeah, that's
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: who we need to talk to. Are y'all jealous of
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: each other? You would love that with They always want
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: women to fight, they always do. I don't really want
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: to be in mud and we have a wet t
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: shirts shirts. Let's see. I guess if I had to
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: say one person, I'm not really jealous of anyone, but
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: if I had to, it would be Oprah And it's
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: more admiration than jealousy. Jo would be Yeah, it would.
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: It would just be Oprah because she is the queen
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: of all media and I just love her, look up
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: to her, and she's done everything. You know, I love
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: me smoke her. But that's who I would be jealous of.
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: Hold yeah, because I don't have a really jealous I'm
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: not really jealous of people. But if I had to
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: pick somebody, then I'm gonna say gay o king o
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: best friend. That's a good one to be jealous of.
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: Jealous are the best friend of the billion. What about
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: your junior? Huh? You know, um, I'm not really jealous.
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: You know what's somebody I really admire? It would be
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: Kevin Hart. I see that, I see that. Damn it
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: all hang out, didn't he? Yeah, I'm feeling like Dave Chappelle.
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: Now you don't skip your ass over me sitting over
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: here in front of your shot a ya, trying to
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: help your little shout as, getting you gigs and stuff,
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: teaching you stuff, taking your phone call late at night,
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: and you're gonna sit them saying we're going to be
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: some damn you short, ungrateful bastard junior short too on
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: the show he shot and that's how he turned up
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: in my face, Kevin Hart with Dave Schappello. But Steve,
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: you're no longer in the game like that, so you know, Kevin,
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: is what I mean? You don't do step that. You
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: know that game no more? You're sore a stand up
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: hurt me? Oh I oh this gang up on, Steve?
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: You game no more? What the hell is I'm on
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: to cover? People? Folk? You do what all stand up
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: comedians do. You go on to sitcoms, to talk shows,
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: you know, stuff like that, hosting family, deep deep, but
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: I resent that assessment of my career coming from you,
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: young lady. Well, thank you for that compliment. But who
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: should know me better than anyone who has been next
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: to you, anyone I retired from. Stand up? Yeah, there
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: you go. That's all I'm saying. Yes, we were sitting
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: on the No no, no, that's that shot. Shirley just
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: took it. Men take a right after the wound midjet
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: as junior ticket, disrespectful as shot. I look up to
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: Kevin Hard. I don't both y'all. Chapelle right now, sit
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: up here and look past me and telling about I
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: really look up to Kevin. Kevin ain't never helped your way.
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: It was not even that. Shut up, man, get your
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: ass off the should All right, everyone, job? Are you
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: threatening jobs? You having to put a call in your
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: magic that you didn't had your last damn said? Al right,
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: everyone is talking about the Steve really it is. Get
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: over me telling about someday Kevin my chest STU junior. Yeah,
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: look up at Kevin Hard. You look did no good.
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: I'm calling it, Chappelle. We're gonna do a special hell
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: out of him too. Yeah you are Dave Chappelle, right,
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: now did everybody's talking about Dave chappelle IF comedy special
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: that was on Netflix. He talked about how he didn't
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: realize how big, how successful Kevin Hart really is. He
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: learned the hard way. Take a listen to this. So
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: I took him to the show and we go. We
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: sit right up front. The lights go down and one
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: opening that after another goes on. Then Kevin takes the stage.
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: Crowd goes nuts. Thousands of people. I was purious along
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: with the show went on. The matter I got because
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: this show was outstanding. It was maddening these people holding
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: this stumps. My son was slapping the sleep that do
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: this too. Kevin says good night, travels crazy and then
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: everyone starts walking to the door and the lights come on,
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: and then my son is just standing there looking at
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: the ample stage. People are pushing past me and nobody's
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: recognized me. Like, man, it's replaced. Sucks. I said, come on,
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: so let's get out of here. And then my son
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: looks back at me and he says, Dad, please, please,
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: I have to meet him. That is you, Steve right
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: here right now. I am too. He's been missed. He
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: really has. Okay, So our question of the week, call
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: us and tell us who you're jealous of, who you
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: never admitted it to? And uh, here's part two? Who
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: do your kids admire? Eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve,
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: all right, let's go to Alicia out of New York. Hello?
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: Is it Alicia? Alicia? Alicia? Who have you ever been
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: jealous of? Or who do your kids look up to? Well? Um,
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: I can answer that right now. I don't have any kids,
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: go not yet, not yet, okay, But however, I'm actually
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: in his office. I'm telling us to my boss because
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: he can come and go as he wants. And I'm
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: the first one in here, and I'm the last one
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: to leave. I was I could leave it and come in,
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: you know, eleven o'clock and leave it to Why can't
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: I do that? Why don't they get to come? I
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: want to be the boys can come and go, and
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: I love it. But you know, Alicia, you know you
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: gotta pay the calls to be the boss. You pay
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: the calls to be the boss. But I'm sure that
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: Shirley Carlos Tom and how should he understand? I didn't
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: want to say it, but we feel the exact same way.
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: But I don't want we can relate going girl. He
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: he alway's taking out. He gave me vacation. He come
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: and go when he wanted to. We always gotta come.
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: I'm coming on the phone. But I'm on the phone.
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: I'm in his office, so it's all right, right, Yeah,
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: you got nice officer here, he does. I like it
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: like it's planting. I wanted the plan you got you.
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: You got your feet up on his desk and everything. Huh,
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: you got your feet up on his desk. That what
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: I do when I get you're listening to the Steve
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. All right, when it comes to dating,
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: we're all doing it wrong. Men need to be gentlemen,
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: and women need to allow men to work harder. These days,
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: most people are looking for love online or via apps,
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: which anyone who's done that nose can be far from
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: romantic and rarely goes the distance. Back in the day,
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: dating was more about romance. It was more about commitment,
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: whereas today are looking to hook up and hope something
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: comes of it. M hmmm. Yes. Old school loves set
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: a standard. With old school relationships, the standards you are
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: willing to accept are clearly defined from the beginning, which
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: means you let a possible partner, know what you're willing
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: and not willing to accept us front. You do that
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: up front, right right. And if you haven't figured out
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: what you want in a relationship yet, take time to
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: identify it and make sure your partner knows. So communicate.
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: First thing, First thing, I know what you don't want.
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: Mm hmm you say that first things first, Know what
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: you will not accept. Period. Make two lists. This is
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: what I do not want in a relationship and will
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: not accept or don't want, and these this is my
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: wish list what I do want. No man is going
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: to fulfill or the complete wish list without having some
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: counterpoints on the I wish I would prefer not like
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: your man, maybe all filling up the whole list. And
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: then you said I don't want a man with kids,
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: and then he got to So now you have to
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: decide is the benefit greater than the disappointment or is
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: to what he has? Is it a greater benefit than
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: what he doesn't have? Or do those kids outweigh everything
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: for you and you just can't deal with any of
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: you out. That's the list that you have to have.
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: Most women don't have that list. That's why so many
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: women are accepting what guys throw out because they don't
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: have a clear picture of what they want and what
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: they will accept and won't. Except they used to be
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: in text, text message all day. They're used to that.
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: Not Yeah, that's exactly what you used to get. Swipe left,
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: swipe right, and swipe left, and you accept that. You
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: accept a man texting you, you empty if you don't
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: answer the text, watch him call and if he ain't
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: got time to call him really interested. Yeah, you gotta
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: put the work in, you know. It. Don't make it
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: that easy. You have to put the work in um
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: and a man can be trained how to treat you.
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: You can train a man how to treat you. And
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: that's not like he's a dog. But all you have
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: to do is be clear about what you're not going
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: to accept, and you don't have to say it. Just
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: don't accept it. Yeah, you know, if he say coming
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: at seven, he don't call, and then he should open
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: it coming he rang the doebell at nine, well you
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: couldn't get et sid bye boy back. All right, that's
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: that's this is something more about old school love, Steve It.
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: Lets men be men and women be women. Yes, women
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: these days are independent will will give them that and
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: they want to be treated as such. But there's nothing
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: wrong when a woman, uh lets a guy take care
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: of her, and women won't lose their independence if they
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: do that. Okay. It's also okay to let people show
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: how much they care about you and make you feel special.
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: That's okay too. I agree with that. All this stuff
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: is okay. Yeah, we could be independent and still want,
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: you know, that man to take care of us. It's
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: nothing that doesn't make independence and the ability to take
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: care of yourself. But everybody wants somebody to want them.
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: Everybody wants to feel needed and loved, and that goes
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: for me and too. If we don't see where we
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: can fit into your life to be your man, it's
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: gonna be hard for us to play the role. You
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: don't need no hugs, no loving, no support. You don't
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: need nobody helping you. Moved refrigerate. You got it all that.
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: You just out there dropping the transmission and I don't
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: want her. Nobody is she moving refrigerator? That's too much
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: you chance, shut up. You don't think big d can
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: move refrigerator, Big Honey moving right there, Big Honey drug
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: refrigerated one time out in the hallway right outside bid
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: shut up here for it, honey. One time pool refrigerated
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: in the limeroom. She's watching the game. Yeah, poor refrigerated
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: in the living right right next to the lounge on
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: the commercials. And she wanted to know what I saw,
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: big honey, take a whole honey, bake out that thing
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: with her feet. Yeah. And then after the game was
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: over she put it back right. Yeah, certainly the game. Look,
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: she did not like me, Carlo. Whatever you do not
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: mean to I wasn't mean yeah whatever, she hit me
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: first away, all right, yes, alright. Also, old school love
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: makes you feel safe. It makes you feel secure. Real
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: love is finding someone who makes you feel that way,
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: and not just physically. You need someone you're completely okay
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: with sharing your most personal thoughts. That's a big one
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: right there. If you if you aren't, you'll need you'll
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: never form a complete bond with that other person. The
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: most important thing is finding someone you can feel safe
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: with in all aspects of your relationship. It's important that
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: you're willing to wait for that and not accept a
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: bunch of other stuff in the meantime, because when you
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: accept the other stuff in the meantime, it prohibits what
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: you're really wanting to come into your life. Yeah, I
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: agree with that. What are you trying to say? Now?
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: You go ahead? If we peelsic color enough, I don't
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: really yeah, too much about the bond. As long as
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: we you know, you were three phol times a week,
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: I'm cool, I'm good. I don't see you don't think
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: a woman is going to feel close to you when
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: you're sharing that kind of intimacy. Yeah, yeah, yeah, what
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: I'm just saying on my side, long as long as
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: we're getting this intimacy by folk time a week, we could,
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: I'm helping whatever you need. I listened to you whatever
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: you want. No, I'm whatever going on in your life.
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: I'm listening a long. We got that full time a week.
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: That helps me listen, helps me whole. We're in the
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: moment and as you said, why are we going through it?
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: Don't wait, I ain't got the head afterwards? Two birds
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: with Yeah, then why are we in the middle of it?
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: What don't wear a boy? The work? I got your job, Steve,
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: get him, he's work. What's your word? By the work?
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: Fun girl? Paper clips and stuff? God? Quick word that quick?
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: I got cute. That's who you want. I'm jealous. We
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: come back at eighteen after the hour. Roscoe Wallace has
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: just been added to the Standing Soul Festival lineup. He'll

- 1:35:40Speaker 1: We got time for just one more thing. UH find
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: out what that is. I guess I don't know. I
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: know one more thing, though I know who who? I
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: don't want to you stop with the question. You want
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: to be me? You wanna be me? You wanna be
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: Man's like Max he is. You're listening, all right? Talk
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: coming up next? We got time for just one more
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: thing right out of his soul. All right, here we go,
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: Steve with just one more thing. Now. Most of us,
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: I know, all of us on this show have a
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: memory of missing out on something, something we really wanted
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: to do due to being on punishment from our parents.
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: A young man named Thomas just so happens, his name
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: is Thomas, and not you, Tommy, just got the memory
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: of a lifetime. He just got the memory of a
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: lifetime forever some minute in sports history. Courtesy of his father.
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: Thomas's dad actually pay for a printed sign check this
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: out to display at the Cavalier versus Hornets game in Charlotte,
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: North Carolina. The sign said, Thomas, get your grades back
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: up and next time, You'll be here, Love Dad. The
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: inclusion of a crying face emoji on the sign made
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: it all too real. USA Today's reporter took a perfect
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: shot of the dad holding up the sign during the game,
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: and the message has gone viral. Hopetom has learned his
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: lesson and keeps his grades up. Wow, that's embarrassing. Yeah what, Steve,
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: that's why. No, that's how you do it, because he'll
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: get his grades up because he doesn't want to be
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: in clown like that anymore. The game. But now your
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: daddy is on social media. Your daddy viral. All your
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: friends know it, including that girl that thought you were smart.
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: Gets your grades back up, and the next time you'll
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: be here, you'll be here and love dad. Man, you're
- 1:38:05Speaker 1: talking about shame. I know. Have you been embarrassed by
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: your parents? That? Were you embarrassed by your parents? Steve?
- 1:38:15Speaker 1: Hell yeah, hell yeah. My mama told me one time
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: to be home at three thirty because they when my
- 1:38:26Speaker 1: father got home, she wanted me to have taken a bath.
- 1:38:29Speaker 1: So when you get through the door, he was going somewhere. Okay,
- 1:38:33Speaker 1: I'm up at the playground just swinging, and I'm on
- 1:38:38Speaker 1: the swing. I'm just swinging. All of a sudden, I
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: swing back and I feel and I swing forward because
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: I didn't know what the hell happened. When I came
- 1:38:51Speaker 1: back again. Man, my mama had a switch and every
- 1:38:57Speaker 1: time I swing back, she was pupping my ass. About
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: the third time when I realized these was lashes that
- 1:39:06Speaker 1: that false swing, I just bailed out. I was in
- 1:39:10Speaker 1: the ol, hit the ground and broke out running and
- 1:39:13Speaker 1: she said, I know you don't want me to chase you,
- 1:39:20Speaker 1: so I stopped run went back over that. I got
- 1:39:22Speaker 1: a whipping on the playgroundbody. Wow. Yeah, ground with a switch.
- 1:39:31Speaker 1: But I was trying not to cry because all my
- 1:39:33Speaker 1: boys was looking. Of course, I hold it together. She
- 1:39:38Speaker 1: was lashing my ass pretty good. I couldn't hold up others.
- 1:39:42Speaker 1: I was swagon wheeling glory but one tier face fun
- 1:39:50Speaker 1: tiers though I couldn't. Wasn't that bigger man? Okay, what's
- 1:39:56Speaker 1: your nephew? I know you have one tip man my dad.
- 1:40:00Speaker 1: My dad had probably one of the raggediest trucks. He
- 1:40:03Speaker 1: had the old dogs pick up raggedy truck, so it
- 1:40:06Speaker 1: was seven made grade. I used to just get my
- 1:40:08Speaker 1: daddy dropping me off two blocks from the school, I
- 1:40:11Speaker 1: ain't want. I wanted to walk, so I ain't even
- 1:40:13Speaker 1: pull up in front of that school. And man, my
- 1:40:16Speaker 1: dad got to the point saying, okay, I see what
- 1:40:19Speaker 1: it is. It was storming one day. He know, I'm
- 1:40:21Speaker 1: scared of thunding lightning. So two blocks he stopped and said,
- 1:40:25Speaker 1: here we is. I said you you take me? No, no, no,
- 1:40:30Speaker 1: no no that when you get out right here where
- 1:40:32Speaker 1: you've been getting out of it's what you've been getting out.
- 1:40:35Speaker 1: You don't like how my truck looks, so gonna get
- 1:40:38Speaker 1: out and make you walk down there while it's stunning
- 1:40:40Speaker 1: the lightning, and I'm spaking with When I got to school, man,
- 1:40:43Speaker 1: I didn't do that. No mo. Dad pulled me on
- 1:40:46Speaker 1: up to the front. A yeah, man, well that's where
- 1:40:54Speaker 1: the famous line. Uh you know, my mom always told
- 1:40:57Speaker 1: me sit down, get somewhere and sit down a little girl.
- 1:41:00Speaker 1: Everyone has seen you. Because I was up like, dancing
- 1:41:04Speaker 1: around and singing. My whole family was there dancing, just singing,
- 1:41:08Speaker 1: having a good time. They were all watching whatever whatever
- 1:41:11Speaker 1: I was on stage. I didn't care. My mother came
- 1:41:15Speaker 1: out of that kitchen and she said, get somewhere and
- 1:41:18Speaker 1: sit down a little girl. Everyone has seen you. Good lord.
- 1:41:25Speaker 1: I was in there because she always said I was
- 1:41:30Speaker 1: always flouncing around. Sit down somewhere, miss Priss, Miss Priss
- 1:41:36Speaker 1: all the time. All right, some great days. Well, I
- 1:41:41Speaker 1: tell you what. Here's the time I've been looking forward to. Y'all.
- 1:41:46Speaker 1: Have a good weekend, bay dude. Day dude, go out
- 1:41:53Speaker 1: and try to beat me today, sty do that, thank you,
- 1:42:00Speaker 1: good night, good night, good night, have a good night.
- 1:42:03Speaker 1: Trying to be him today, I had to kill. I
- 1:42:08Speaker 1: had to lower my standards cracking himself up though now
