- 0:03[SPEAKER_03]: The only thing that we would hang manners for that would put up around this building is World Championships.
- 0:08[SPEAKER_00]: Bill Taft, BTA, and you know the message is clear, you know, we just had to play better.
- 0:14[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody wants to take a chip and dip it in that salsa, if you know what I'm saying.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_00]: You know, people had us as a really good team, but I don't think they've written on it's not how good we can really be.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_04]: What's up, guys?
- 0:32[SPEAKER_04]: This is Jeff Manis.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_02]: You're listening to Poor Man's Packers Hot Dance.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_03]: Hello, welcome to another edition of the Pro Max Packers podcast.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_03]: I want to pick a spotcast in the state of our minds.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_03]: I am special joining this week with Todd Todd.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_03]: Hello, hello, and welcome home.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_03]: Man, the Packers.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_03]: What a what a game juggernauts.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely juggernauts losing 40 to 40 in a tie.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_03]: Because it feels like a loss, even though it's just, I mean, the worst part about it is the rest of the year, any time we look at our record, we got that little data reminder at the end.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_03]: How about this, start right off the top, power rank your packer ties of our lifetime.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_03]: There's three of them.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_03]: There's this one.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_03]: There's the Vikings game, the Kiss and Cousins against Kurt Cousins at Lambo, and then the Scott Tolzines spin move, Matt Flynn come in in the second half tie of 2014, I believe.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_03]: 20, 20 power rank, 2013.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, power ranking.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_04]: That's my, the last one's my favorite.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_04]: The Scott Tolzines spin move is my favorite tie, okay.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_04]: That game was awful, yeah, it sucked, but it wasn't supposed to be good.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_03]: It did feel like a win more than the rest of it, right?
- 1:58[SPEAKER_03]: That's a good point.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_04]: So it's like, what it's supposed to suck in Utah, you're like, like, if you're the cowboys, are you that upset that you tied?
- 2:05[SPEAKER_04]: Not that upset.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, probably not.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_03]: They did almost, they should have beat the Eagles week one, though.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_03]: So that's a little thing that we got to remember too.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_03]: That maybe they're not as bad as we initially thought.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_04]: They're offence looked pretty good.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_04]: True, we'll say that.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_04]: People have seen our defense looked pretty bad.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_04]: I guess, other one, I guess, between the cousins.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_03]: And remember, the Kirk cousins one, pretty memorable game as well.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously, because I have to tell you, but Daniel Carlson missing like,
- 2:33[SPEAKER_03]: three or four kicks and getting cut the next week by Mike Zimmer, at least he was kind of the one who headed him, getting cut even though he's not the GM, and there was also when Clay Matthews got the roughing the pastor when Jair picked it off on a third or fourth down which would have sealed the game, but the the refs threw the flag the year after Aaron Rodgers broke his collarbone so that we then tied an overtime.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_04]: Wait, was this?
- 3:02[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, that's the scottlesy moment.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, okay, I never mind.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_03]: I guess I do agree with your rankings though.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_03]: I guess two and three is a little tough.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_03]: It's a little tougher, but I guess the Viking one does make, or the scottlesy one does make the most sense, because that did come in handy too, because that's when we made the playoffs from New York 8, 7 and 1, and then beat the bears in the first round on fourth and sixth.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_04]: Was that, was there any fun words that Rodgers said that year?
- 3:30[SPEAKER_04]: No, no, that was out of fun for easier.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_03]: No, he broke his collarbone.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_03]: It was fun, he's back, and so is Randall Cobb, who was out of good chunk of the second half of that year, too.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_03]: those years like the early teens just kind of like they do some of the new show they do mushed together but I've gotten it's bad because it's like now in my life if I want to remember what was going on in the year it's like what happened to the packers that year and it's like 2010 Super Bowl 2011 a lot of points 2012 Niners weird stuff I think yeah that was Sam that was 2012 was 2012 was the
- 4:11[SPEAKER_03]: 200 on the ground apronic.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, I believe so 2013 was the collarbone come back year 2014 and we don't have to go over this rate.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_03]: We got to we got to stay in the present day.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, Packers losing again 40 to 40 cowboys this episode we're going to go you know what the
- 4:28[SPEAKER_03]: Overview of the game the big stuff at the beginning and the stuff we're upset about we'll talk about the offense About the defense take news.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_03]: We're gonna talk about Matt LaFlor and how we feel about him.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_03]: It's a little It's been kind of a crummy last five games of his overall coaching and managing a team We'll have stumped Spenny and then we'll just have our outro because we don't have a preview to have because next week is our By week bananza because the by week is coming at a good time
- 4:55[SPEAKER_03]: I guess Todd, again, opening it up, thoughts on the collapse, what was your favorite part?
- 5:02[SPEAKER_03]: What was your least favorite part?
- 5:03[SPEAKER_03]: What did you think of this game and how it ended?
- 5:06[SPEAKER_04]: I did.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_04]: I enjoyed the beginning of the loss where we had the extra point blocked, like maybe like one of the cleanest blocks I've ever seen of an extra point.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_04]: And then they ran it all the way back for the two points, which again, like it.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_04]: And you could say this for a lot of different moments in the game, but like what when you're special teams,
- 5:28[SPEAKER_04]: is so bad that they're giving up two points on the extra point.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_04]: It's just like this, it's just icing on the cake.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_04]: So that was my fan.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_04]: That was, I enjoyed starting the loss that way.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_04]: That was fun.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_04]: How are you?
- 5:41[SPEAKER_03]: Um... I mean, that was bad.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_03]: you know, I asked the question and then I don't have an answer myself.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_04]: I would just say to like the corners playing randomly playing off when like it felt to me.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_04]: It felt like the rush was about to get there so many times.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_04]: But then the underneath throws were all open and I'm like, just make them throw it over our heads.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_04]: They might not have time like I just want to see it.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that was tough too.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_03]: I think what we're learning is maybe Hobbes isn't that fast or he's slowly coming back from his knee injury, and maybe Valentine doesn't have that great change of direction either because there was a couple of those like comeback routes where he was just too far back on.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean for me it's just it's the final.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_03]: I was beside myself that the final drive that we had in over time because like I was Yeah, I was looking on Twitter while I was going on and I'm just like where is the urgency?
- 6:38[SPEAKER_03]: Where is the get up on this because it's like I'm I'm an idiot.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_03]: I know I've said that several times I'm gonna show like I played frickin you know flag football like 10 years ago and even then I'd be like get hurry up, you know Oh, we got to get back to the line and it's like
- 6:53[SPEAKER_03]: So damn slow once there was like a minute left once we got that one first down I think even though the one-to-golden converting the fourth and six after that.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_03]: It's like Let's get a hurry up here and it just was so demoralizing because it legitimately felt like we weren't trying to score a touchdown in the last minute and a half of that game where it's like
- 7:15[SPEAKER_03]: Matt and the offense were so stuck on not giving the cowboys any time at the end that they forgot that if they just score a touchdown Brandon Aubrey doesn't matter and he's not going to kick the ball and that's what just pissed me off where I the other thing that I thought of this is a maybe a bad thought Everyone's like oh, Mike a person to save the game and it was a nice little sack there.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_03]: You know, save and death probably running into the end zone and scoring
- 7:42[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_03]: I kind of wish it didn't happen.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_03]: I wish that deck would have scored and then knowing what we know now, you know, we drive the ball.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if Dallas's defense plays differently, probably does, but I still feel pretty confident in our offense marching down the field.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_03]: And we'd have a better shot of winning knowing what we know now if we had probably scored a touchdown and I think Matt LaFlor would have gone for two at the end of the game or maybe they
- 8:10[SPEAKER_03]: if you're in that position and you kick a field goal maybe it let's I'm still thinking time expiring but if you're like pressing on a like you're going to tie there it's like you might you might as well go for two especially if you don't believe in your defense or your so afraid of Brandon Aubrey it's like we'll just go for two and I wonder if the game's over if you go for two at that point in your up I wonder if that's part of
- 8:38[SPEAKER_04]: No.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_04]: Well, each team gets a possession.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_03]: But if each team's... But they would still get the ball.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_03]: But they get the ball first.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_03]: They score a touchdown.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_03]: We get the ball second.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_03]: We score a touchdown and get the two point.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, for games over.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_03]: Then that's, I think we would have gone for it.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_03]: And that's, I would have felt a little bit better if that's what happened.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_03]: But it's like watching, watching McManus go out on the field to kick that field goal was just demoralizing.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_03]: Because even when he made it, it's like, oh, cool.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_03]: We tied.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_04]: It's like the most like you make the kick and it's just the most anti-climactic thing ever when that happens and you're just like, whatever, like it's just like a nothing.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_04]: It's like we did why do you why even play the game if we're gonna tie?
- 9:20[SPEAKER_04]: Someone should lose.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah feels like we all lost exactly last week.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_03]: We we probably have again felt like the losing team just because of the way that the game went and you know kind of hype around our team versus the cowboys I don't know it's just
- 9:38[SPEAKER_03]: and then halfway to like the defense like that's what was what made it worse to is like there was just 40 points given up and most of it in the second half as well because it's like even at the end of the second quarter there you can't really give those seven points that or was it eight did they go for two there too?
- 9:56[SPEAKER_03]: Second quarter they scored 16 points so so possibly but you know that
- 10:01[SPEAKER_03]: after the love sack and the fumble sack and then they score after that it's like you can't really blame that on the defense and then in the second half you see we gave up 21 points plus the field goal in over time and it's like well god now you don't feel that great about the defense either but maybe that's just because of the fast track and losing uh the want to why it but at the same time is one player really that big of a blast I don't know it's just a lot of doubts creeping up it makes a difference
- 10:28[SPEAKER_04]: What is what was the, did you hear what happened with Devante?
- 10:32[SPEAKER_04]: What's his prognosis?
- 10:33[SPEAKER_03]: It seems like it's a, I'm gonna guess it's some type of MCL or some type of spray and it's a knee injury, but he is weak to weak.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm gonna guess he's going to be out three to four games and he will be back.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_03]: That's just me completely guessing off of metal floor saying he's going to be weak to weak.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, I guess before we jump into the offense, I just want to see this.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_03]: I really, you know, we talk about broadcast, we talk about crews and all that NBC's production of Sunday night football, I think is far and away the best, not just the announcers, but very rarely am I like, can I get a replay of this?
- 11:09[SPEAKER_03]: Very rarely do I feel like a missing something, the shots of the crowd are always good.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_03]: There's never like a missing shot.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_03]: I'm never like, why are they showing this
- 11:19[SPEAKER_03]: but they're usually pretty good of showing a little local flare of whatever city they're in.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_04]: Was it I forget which game it was was it maybe that wasn't Sunday night football wasn't our game but.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to bring it up anyway.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_04]: There was watching a game.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_04]: I think it was maybe around like the three o'clock hour and they showed a ball like that was incomplete and they showed the back of the receiver so you couldn't see if the ball was incomplete.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_04]: They showed then they were like flip it around 180 degrees and they showed the back of the corner and you couldn't see it either.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_04]: We watched those two like two times each.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_04]: and then like right before the ref comes out and makes the call they're like oh actually here's the shot where you can see it perfectly so an example of like when the production isn't good and you're like give me a different angle like I don't why are you showing me the angles that don't do anything it's like with somebody asleep at the wheel or yeah like to your point when it when the production's good it's just like
- 12:12[SPEAKER_04]: It's just smooth, like you're never annoyed with what you're seeing.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_04]: You're just like, okay, yeah, that is what it is.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_03]: Are you sure that's the packer's playing then you're annoyed?
- 12:19[SPEAKER_03]: Are you sure that was a three o'clock game and not a noon game?
- 12:21[SPEAKER_03]: Because the noon games are usually when you get like the de-de-de-team of the production crew.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_03]: Were there get like eight by play action and everything?
- 12:30[SPEAKER_03]: Like the camera follows the wrong guy.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, that happened today or that happened on Sunday too, where I was like, I can see where the ball's going.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_04]: The camera's going the wrong way.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_04]: And like they they shift it pretty quick, but it's like yeah, you don't that's if it doesn't happen Excuse me to your credit on Sunday night or Monday night like the prime time games.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_03]: It doesn't like typically happen Offence of this game Jordan love I mean hey Can't complain 31 of 43 337 yards three touchdowns no picks was only sack the one time I mean not not much to really talk down damn about first drive full clinic uh
- 13:09[SPEAKER_03]: clinical.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_03]: I almost said criminal, but I guess he was a smooth criminal on that drive.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_03]: A last drive was criminal.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_03]: Craft almost scored that sucked.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_03]: I showed you.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_03]: I had a parlay.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_03]: I had like a four dollar bet for like a seven leg parlay.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_03]: Craft would have scored on that.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_03]: I want to made four hundred fifty bucks.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_03]: So that was he.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_03]: twice.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_03]: If he gained one more yard total, he would have had like two touchdowns because he was stopped at like the half yard line and like the one inch line.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_03]: I was like, and I never look at the parlay's during the game.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_03]: I look after because I don't want to take away from my viewing experience for the pack of game.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_03]: And I looked in the room.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_03]: I was also like 12 yard chart for a Matthew going one, which would have won me 250, but whatever we don't have to talk about bets.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_03]: Journal of 2, he had that long run on 3rd and 2, ducked the russia, and then had the second longest run of his career, believe the first longest was on Thanksgiving where he actually slid, he maybe could have even scored on that one, his big coming out party back in 2023.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_03]: I love the love play.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, we've all seen obviously if you watch the game Rollin' Out and pretend like he's gonna run in and he throws it to Josh Jacobs.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_03]: That was a beautiful hand-off.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_03]: I guess according to the Box score because it doesn't count in some detail.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_04]: Did they say it was a lateral?
- 14:25[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think they sit on the ball cast to that accounts as a run The big throw to dobs on third and long on the last drive of regulation nice contested catch from dobs.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_03]: That's a thing too And we will talk about the receivers as well, but
- 14:37[SPEAKER_03]: For all the flack that I've given the receivers over the years and the coaching staff, the receiving coach Ryan Mahafi, I believe his name drops this year really few and far between.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I keep thinking we're going to jinx it, but don't tell you in Wix 2 he hasn't dropped a ball all year.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_04]: It's been so much better and I guess my, just to give a comment on the offense like for as much as like the Cowboys defense wasn't good.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_04]: You got to give the offense credit for just going out.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, 40 points is a lot of points for your offense ago and put up 40 points.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_04]: They did their job and it was like good to see Jordan slinging it and just kind of everybody doing their part.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_04]: Sands.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, the line is in kind of rough shape right now, but aside from that, like even Jordan was moving really well in the pocket, which he usually does, we take that performance from that offensive line 100% I guess like it's a tough spot that we're in right now.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_04]: So I don't know, just credit to the offense, even though it didn't go the way we thought I thought the offense played really well.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_03]: Yep, and then, you know, even that last drive to at the end of regulation was cool.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, Jordan Love broke a would be sack and then he had the big throw to Milly Keith to get into field goal range.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_03]: It's nice when, you know, you get other guys involved.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_03]: It's like scary because it's like, oh, you see, you see the playhap it and we picked up the first, but it's like this last drive of the game.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_03]: We really threw a ball to Milly Keith.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_03]: Who's had suspect hands at times, but it still worked out.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_03]: So,
- 16:08[SPEAKER_03]: Um, I was happy with it.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously no turn over worthy balls.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_03]: He had a couple not so great misses early on in the game He dirted one in front of Romeo.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_04]: There was a deep ball to Romeo too, which I think he overthrew I think there was you like the two guys in the same zone play that was I who ran the wrong route
- 16:29[SPEAKER_03]: I believe today LaFlor did say that Matthew Golden ran the wrong row.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_03]: He said it was okay.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_03]: Get this.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_03]: Matt LaFlor said it was a great learning experience for Golden.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_03]: Wow.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_03]: But he said it wasn't like the worst thing because it was something where like it was a broken coverage and when that happens you're supposed to run to space and that's what he did.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_03]: But he kind of stole it from Wix who if he didn't Wix is probably scoring a touchdown there.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_03]: I don't remember if he scored on that drive I think we did any ways.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_03]: So I don't think it mattered.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_04]: That was
- 16:59[SPEAKER_03]: first drive wasn't it okay so then so we did so it didn't really end up mattering but very odd I don't remember ever seeing two besides like a Hail Mary two receivers that close together on a deep ball like that but again overall I mean
- 17:14[SPEAKER_03]: Jordan love, we'll take this from him, he kind of go back and forth, you know, do you trust him?
- 17:19[SPEAKER_03]: I still trust him for the most part.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_03]: Again, no turnover worthy balls.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_03]: Again, last week was only the real first time that in recent memory that he's made you think twice, but fun.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_03]: It was a fun game.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_03]: And again, if nothing else, we are still undefeated in that stadium.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, yeah, not to feed it.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_04]: That's such an even though it is a loss, but yeah.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, why receivers?
- 17:45[SPEAKER_03]: Where do you start here?
- 17:46[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, Josh Jacobs was technically the leading receiver about Romeo Dobbs.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_03]: You got to go there.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_03]: Six receptions, 58 yards, three touchdowns, long of 18.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, just a really good game from him.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_03]: He had played 90% of the snaps done
- 18:04[SPEAKER_03]: And again, I mean, the three touchdowns people are saying, I don't know if you saw this.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_03]: You heard this, the guarding cap might be a cheat code.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_03]: One thing that's fun.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_03]: I've seen a lot of Viking fans.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_03]: They have their center.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_03]: Does anybody think that?
- 18:16[SPEAKER_03]: Well, first thing is, there's a guy in the Vikings offensive line who already has a two concussions this year, and they're like, why isn't he wearing a guarding cap?
- 18:25[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, it doesn't, there isn't substantial evidence showing that it actually helps with concussions.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if you remember, but the Eagles game last year, Romeo Dobbs had a concussion.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, we're in the carding cap, so it didn't fall like on his back or something.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I believe he slammed his head on the back of the turf, yes.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_03]: But people are saying, and I don't doubt it.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_03]: but especially in the red zone it's like it's a little extra thing obviously they're wearing different color to your heads that much when you see a big old ball of yellow or on the cross it's I mean it must help with the no look passes if nothing else don't you think
- 19:01[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it's just this big bubble head runner.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_04]: What is it coat?
- 19:04[SPEAKER_04]: What are those things for the big heads of figurines?
- 19:06[SPEAKER_04]: The Funko pops or something.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I'm a Funko pop.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_04]: Funko running around.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_04]: It's definitely easy to tell who it is even before like the camera like focuses on them.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_04]: So you see that big old Bob will have to walk around and it's like, oh, there's Romeo right down the middle.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_03]: And I don't know what it is.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if Romeo is a smaller, but his seems more tight to the helmet than Savion.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_03]: Savions looks like it could almost fall off because they both haven't going on.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I feel like that's like Sivian has like the head movement of like Randall Cobb and Randall Cobb with like bounces head because he ran.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_03]: It's a good point.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_04]: Sivian has like the same where he these an intense runner.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_04]: I wonder if anyone will ever juke out of their guarding cap.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_04]: That would be a fun visual.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_04]: How it is it even?
- 19:52[SPEAKER_04]: It doesn't even look like they're ever on tight.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_04]: How do they not fall off?
- 19:55[SPEAKER_04]: I'm saying, it savvions is tighter.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_03]: Are they going to look again?
- 19:57[SPEAKER_03]: I assume there's multiple straps.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_03]: It's a good thing.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_03]: We'll have to have an equipment manager on some time and we can really dive in and push up.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_04]: We should do that.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_03]: I would, I mean, I'm such a, I would talk to anyone within the Packers organization.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_03]: I would have questions for anyone.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_04]: I think it would be interesting to talk to a person.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_04]: We could have a person.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_03]: I did want to reach out to the old flea.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_03]: What's his pepper pepper Burris?
- 20:22[SPEAKER_03]: I've wanted to reach out to him.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_03]: But he seems kind of boring, so I don't know.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe maybe someday we out.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_03]: That's still get him on the pipe.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_03]: Boy, a boy can dream.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_03]: Matthew Golden, another solid game.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_03]: Five receptions, 50 yards.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously the long of 46.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_03]: He also had the one run for five yards.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_03]: I mean the huge play we talked about it.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_03]: Two guys in the same vicinity.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_03]: I liked how on the fourth down play one that he caught it pretty nice to have a rookie You know first round receiver catch the ball on a for it for in six.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_03]: I like how he cocked the ball back like he caught it and tucked it right away So good that Trico thought that he double caught the ball which was a little bit funny
- 21:02[SPEAKER_03]: and golden was saved by that dude that hit him in the head um that catch and run when he reversed the field was so bad you remember how he caught it it was a little screen he started running up field and then he cut back to reverse it and it was like no it ran into Sean Ryan.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_03]: No, no, that was that was a manual Wilson.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_03]: That was a different play.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_03]: I'm I'm talking golden of caught at reverse of the field lost like six, seven yards.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, and then the guy like punched him in the head after the play.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_03]: So we got
- 21:34[SPEAKER_03]: like that's the right yards.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_03]: If that didn't happen, we'd be talking a little bit more about Matthew Golden and that knucklehead, rookie play out of him, but yeah, that was a dumb play.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_04]: But you're gonna get some of those, right?
- 21:45[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, he's used to being the fastest guy in the field of my own mile and now you're not.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_04]: So like that kind of shit doesn't seem to, unless you have to be an absolute freak to be able to do that.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_03]: I'm glad that it happened in that situation.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_03]: Hopefully that's his learning experience towards like, oh, I can't try that in the NFL and we just lose
- 22:04[SPEAKER_04]: Like Barry Sanders can do it fine, but like you can't as a rookie wide receiver.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, you don't want to lose yards.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, especially when you have limited opportunities thus far, uh, done Tavian Wix finished two for 19.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I know I'm in the minority here.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't think that PI was his egregious as people made it out to be the no call late in the game.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_03]: I thought, which PI, the deep one down the left side line going from right to left, late in the game where the Cowboys defender didn't get his back turned, I'm surprised you don't remember it, but it was a pretty big one where everyone thought for a shirt should have been a flag.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_03]: It probably, for what gets called, I think it probably should have, but I, if, if rolls were reversed, I didn't think it was as a grigious as people were making it out to be.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_04]: Gosh, for some reason, I'm not remembering that, but I will say,
- 22:58[SPEAKER_04]: There is something to like when they call it a certain way, you do have to expect it.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_04]: Like so if they're calling it soft, you just have to expect it.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_04]: Like some some ref crews are completely the opposite where they just like, I remember watching and it was watching the game this the last weekend.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_04]: It was like they're actually like letting them be physical and like the receiver has to push off to get open and so they're letting them do it.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_04]: It was just like, oh, like that's.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_04]: As long as you call it that way, I'm cool.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_03]: Well, that's what was weird in this game too, because this riffing crew, it's like they were relatively consistent, but it was the dumbest shit, because like they wouldn't call holds on the, you know, Michael Parsons a couple times, probably got held.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_03]: They didn't really call any defensive PI calls.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think for the most part, but then it was like, obviously the fall starts that shit with Elton Jenkins, too.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_03]: That was absolutely fucking ridiculous, moving the ball forward.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_04]: that was so stupid and even like the broadcast like Trico and what's his name are just like oh yeah you can't do that it has and whoever the rules and as close as I forget which one if it's parara or whoever but he's like yeah you can't cock the ball in an unnatural motion it's like
- 24:09[SPEAKER_04]: What do you want him to do?
- 24:10[SPEAKER_04]: He has to put it on the tip.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_04]: How do you want him to get there?
- 24:14[SPEAKER_04]: And it's like he moved it forward.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, no shit.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_04]: Like every other center that grabs the ball.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_04]: Like, yeah, I don't it's ridiculous.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_04]: That was the one.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_04]: It's only because it was on the inch line.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_03]: That's the only And that's what was done too is because like they had it on the, you know, like the like the half yard line.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_03]: But it was the Tucker craft one where it should have probably been where he moved the ball up.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_03]: anyways you know but they just naturally kind of move it back um yeah i don't say savian with the nice pickup on third forced a forced the fourth and two that we did not go for that's what was so weird about going back to metal flaring decisions the fourth down not going for on the fourth and two
- 24:57[SPEAKER_03]: he did explain it today which makes it a little bit more sense where he says well it was early in the game the defense was getting a lot of stops and I didn't want to not get it and have Brandon Aubrey have that short of field like the pretty much would have already been in field goal range if they didn't convert there
- 25:12[SPEAKER_03]: That makes sense to me.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_03]: What doesn't make sense is the third down play call where you essentially call like a screen to Savion he gets what you want he picks up 13 yards and the new elect not to go for it.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_03]: That's what kind of Piss me off.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, well, if you're if you're not going to go for that then actually try to chuck it deep to convert You know the third down rather than just kind of settling for a screen essentially
- 25:38[SPEAKER_04]: Can I say something that is not probably like the correct take, but it's my take anyway.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_04]: I don't want my coach to be like, oh, Brandon Aubrey can kick it further than anybody else.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_04]: So we have to, I don't who fucking cares if they kick fuel balls.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_04]: if just if you're going to be aggressive be aggressive don't let the fact that there's a sock really good soccer player on the other bench like deter what you're going to do like I just like don't like that mindset of like like Dan Campbell would never give a shit like he's a full ball guy he's like we're just going to do what we do and we're going to be aggressive and I don't know like that's it's no maybe you should take it into account but I'm just like I want
- 26:22[SPEAKER_04]: I want Matt to be more football.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_04]: I want to be a football guy.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_03]: I agree, and you're absolutely right.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_03]: We'll get into this more with take news, but it's again the consistency.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_03]: It was weird how like...
- 26:33[SPEAKER_03]: When we had Rogers and it's fourth and short and we're midfield or close to it, we're going for it just about every time.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_03]: And now what it's been, I think even under the first year with love, we were a little aggressive on fourth down, but the last two years, it's the bullshit and it just pisses me off.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_03]: It's made a least favorite play that the packers run now is fourth and within five.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_03]: and they go out there and they pretend like they're gonna go for it, they take the five-year delay of game and then they punt it.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_03]: It's like you're not fooling anybody, you're wasting everyone's time and I'd rather you just go for it.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_03]: Just be aggressive.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_03]: If nothing else, even if you fail, it's like you're showing confidence in your team and it's marginal, you know, should you shouldn't you?
- 27:15[SPEAKER_03]: And the fans, I don't think you're gonna be upset unless you run a jet sweep to Allen.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_03]: Let's start.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_03]: Then it's gonna look dumb.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_04]: Also, if you never go for it, and you just go out there, and you fix, you know, do your cadence and fix nap at a bunch of times, nobody's ever going to believe you until you run it successfully.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_04]: You have to go out there and convert on fourth down when it doesn't seem like you're going to do it for teams to respect it.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_04]: So it's useless if you never try it, it's useless.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_03]: right and like right now we're kind of in good spot because if you do I mean that's what they should do is go out there do the same thing do the the hard do like the fake motion back and forth and then snap to the hard count twice yes exactly then actually separate like you would even like get one defender that's the D line up get one defender to start clapping because they know you're not going for it and then snap the ball because that'll happen within like a second or two of the play clock running out.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_03]: tight ends.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_03]: I mean Tucker craft, our baby boy, five recepions, 56 yards should have had two touchdowns had none of them cut all five of his targets.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_03]: Again, this offense and I can't complain too much because I know he's a little banged up and this is all still preseason.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_03]: I want him to be healthy for the postseason, but
- 28:26[SPEAKER_03]: when you tie a game, I should say, when you fail to win a game, and Tuckercraft does it get the ball more.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_03]: I want Tuckercraft to get the ball more.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_03]: Again, just five receptions.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_03]: You know, that's one per quarter of this game technically.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_03]: And it's like he needs to get more than that.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_03]: Every time he gets the ball, he seems to break at least one tackle.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I can't remember him getting like less than five yards on a reception, it feels like.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_04]: he is the featured screen player though, which is really fun is like he's always tied in screens like we don't really run running back screens with Jacobs ever.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_04]: I think we ran the one with a manual Wilson this week.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, Wilson did get a few of them.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and like it's fine with that.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, but it's just funny that it's like whenever it's a screen, it's like, okay, where's Tucker?
- 29:09[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, Tucker's got the ball.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_04]: There he goes.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_04]: And like he's really good at him because he's not he never he doesn't outrun his blockers.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_04]: hardly ever.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_04]: You know, he just like he runs with them and then cuts outside or whatever you need to do.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_04]: But like you get other guys too and you watch him and it's like they just completely outrun their blockers and get screwed.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_03]: You know who's really good at running with their blockers?
- 29:31[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, we'll Wilson, because sometimes you just run right into it.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_03]: Runs over.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_03]: And the thing we took her craft to, not even the screens, would he, what really got him rolling at the beginning of his career, or last year I should say, maybe even at the tail end of his work year, is just those five yard outs.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_03]: When you get him on one of those outs, and he's matched up on a DB, it feels like,
- 29:55[SPEAKER_03]: And 70% of the time he's going to give him a stiff farm, he's going to shake that first tackler and he's going to get very, very close to the sticks.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just about any reception like that.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_03]: It's just, let's just do that a little bit more and those got to have it situations.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_03]: You know, Tucker Crafty really hasn't let us down too much.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_04]: He never lets us down, sweet baby boy.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_03]: Musgrave, Jesus Christ.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_03]: He is, he actually outstabbed John Fitzpatrick in this game, which is a little surprising, especially because I think it was something where Musgrave ran six routes and the other 14 snaps.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_03]: I think he stayed in blocking, which just seems like a mistake, because he can't block.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if you saw the moustache.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_03]: That's pretty good.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_03]: The special teams too, a real talk about where he did not block his guy.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_03]: It's getting to the point now where I wonder if we move if he is on the roster next year.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_03]: The last year of his deal, I wouldn't be shocked if we end up cutting him or perhaps trading him to a team that thinks they can do something with them because right now it's like you can't really use them on special teams.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_03]: He's not a good blocker and he's going to give you zero yards after the catch because his legs don't work with the balls in his hands.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_04]: He is like, during love is like silly body.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know, we got to come up with something for Musgrave because he like literally can't run.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_04]: I want to sit in the ball is in the air.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_03]: It's like he's allergic to it.
- 31:19[SPEAKER_03]: I know we use a lot of explicit language on here, so I won't actually say it, but it's like, during love is silly body and Tucker craft is our legs.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, we're the talker.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, sorry.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not going to go anywhere else with talker.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_03]: Moving on to the running backs.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, the tale of two halves, the average 2.2 yards per carry on 10 carries in the first half.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_03]: Second half, Jacob's average 5 per and Wilson average 6.33 repeating, of course.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_03]: Jacob's also had the 71 yards on four receptions pretty good.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_03]: It's weird how his usage has varied this season through the first two games he had one reception.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_03]: I believe I don't think he had any week two and the last two weeks he's had a ton of receptions and again he was the leading receiver this week.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_03]: I think I said before thank God he scored on that third down run his first
- 32:20[SPEAKER_03]: Touchdown.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_03]: I believe that was the one where we were on the one then got moved back from the stupid Elton Jenkins fall start call and it was like run for nothing run for nothing run for the touch on it's like Think fucking god that have been embarrassing if that didn't happen and I mean just to sum it up again with Josh Jacobs
- 32:37[SPEAKER_03]: Not a good start to the season.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_03]: Back half of this game is when he really came out.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_03]: He had the 28-yard catch setting up the touchdown.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_03]: He had the 19-yard run setting up his own one-year touchdown.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_03]: He had the 18-yard touchdown with the very cool fake.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_03]: That was very fun where it looked like he was going to go outside, his second touchdown, and then also he just like, boom.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_03]: like his whole head just swung to the inside, cut in, and then walked in for the touchdown, 14-yard run before the two-minute warning in the fourth quarter, and then the 25-yard catch setting up the game time.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_03]: Field goal.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_03]: So, using a lot of spots, and then again, a manual Wilson, great, great in the screen game on this one.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_03]: He had eight receptions, or sorry, eight rushes for 44 yards total, and then he also had the three catches for 37 the long of 25.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know, he hit his first screen, I think it was one of those where he catches it, and it's one of the fun things I'm watching football where you see the running back catch behind the line setting up a screen, you're like, ooh, but for the play of an happens, this is going for at least 15 yards, and then you watch it actually happen in him, waiting for his blocks and maneuvering around, so that was pretty cool.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_03]: One of the better games of his career.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, and then that late hit they called on him too.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_03]: I thought that was soft.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_03]: You remember that at the
- 33:53[SPEAKER_04]: tail end of the game where he dropped he dropped it I was I thought it was soft live and then I watched the replay and I was like Oh, he had like three steps to slow down True, he did I see why they threw the flag.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_03]: It's very borderline.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_03]: It's one of those riffet if the pack it was a packer defender hitting him a go
- 34:10[SPEAKER_04]: and then you wait for the yellow and hopefully it doesn't happen, but I think if that's a packer, I'm annoyed with the packer going like you had plenty of time to stop.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_04]: What are you doing?
- 34:19[SPEAKER_04]: Like, hit him between the whistle.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think TJ Slayton last year against the Eagles in the playoffs.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_03]: He had one of those late hits.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_03]: That might have been on the sideline too though, but those are those that is the most knucklehead type play is hitting someone late or hitting them out of
- 34:36[SPEAKER_04]: out of bounds but like honestly it's the best feeling to hit someone when they're running out of bounds is so like that's the best especially a quarterback because they're like they're not defending themselves so the hit is just like so easy you know what I mean because they're like they're out of bounds like they think they're safe so I would never do that but I'm just saying it wouldn't feel good.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_03]: true true any other thoughts on the running backs here Chris Brooks he didn't really do much of anything Manuel is it's the last the first two weeks manuel Wilson had one rush and the last two he's had he's been very much more involved I think he had like five snaps total of first two weeks and last two weeks he's been very very much involved when does Lloyd come back
- 35:20[SPEAKER_03]: So it's my first.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_03]: That'll be very interesting, which we probably won't even know next week, because all the guys on the IR are coming back.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_03]: So it's Martian Lloyd.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_03]: It's Christian Watson.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_03]: It's John Williams, the the tackle of the seventh round tackle, who I would guess he's probably going to be registered this year.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_03]: He's probably going to go back to IR.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_03]: Then it's our fifth round pick, the edge defender calling all over.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_04]: not boy and it feel like there's one other guy that's going to be back at that maybe there's Lloyd I think that's it.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_03]: I might just be thinking of the offensive lineman, Zach Tom and Aaron Banks and Belton possibly coming back to everyone.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_04]: I think Aaron Banks is ready after the bite.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_03]: Should be, I mean, Zach Tom and Belton were both declared out before the game and Aaron Banks was doubtful.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_03]: So judging off that, he's a
- 36:15[SPEAKER_03]: the other two guys and that's how yeah, but so it'll be it'll be interesting to see I think there's two Current open roster spots after cutting brand banks again today So I don't know it will be interesting.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_04]: I wouldn't be shocked if if we cut Chris Brooks Okay, that was what I was gonna ask you is who is the odd man out Martian Lloyd returns because there's no way they keep for
- 36:38[SPEAKER_04]: They could.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I think they could.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just trying to think who else we would cut on this roster right now, who you could probably sneak to bring up for special team stuff.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe John Fitzpatrick.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think we'd actually cut Luke must think you'd cut wouldn't unless contractually it doesn't make sense but wouldn't you would fits Patrick be the guy you cut it's not Muscreen or if it's Patrick wouldn't it be Sims oh sorry I forgot Ben Sims yes Ben Sims he he will probably be the one I would say Ben Sims and Chris Brooks unless I'm forgetting some someone here
- 37:11[SPEAKER_04]: Which is sad to see Chris Brooks go, but honestly, the past blocking has been so much better from Jacob from Josh.
- 37:20[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it's insane.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_04]: Like, he's completely 180 from the beginning of last year.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_03]: I do almost wonder if like Goody talk till a floor, because it was strange that we didn't use Chris Brooks more against the Browns who obviously got the rush on us pretty good and
- 37:36[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, we'll Wilson out snap them quite a bit.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_03]: It's almost like, hey, he's going to be gone.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_03]: So maybe see what the other guys can do past blocking, but again, we're getting ahead of ourselves here.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_03]: So we'll see what happens.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_04]: We have just very excited for earth wind and fire.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_04]: When it's Martian, Lloyd, Emmanuel Wilson and Josh.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and then we'll Wilson's a sneaky good football player.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, last year or two, he averaged over five yards of carry and so far, this year he's doing the same thing.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_04]: He's earth in case you were wondering.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_03]: earth wind who's so wind is Lloyd fire as Josh Jacobs yes okay that makes sense to me fire is shifty yeah well I think wind is shifty too I guess fire dances fire dances a little bit more than wind
- 38:21[SPEAKER_03]: for those not watching on the live stream where it doesn't exist or shuffle in our shoulders.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_03]: The offensive line, again like we said, I think we would take this performance out of these guys, two starters down the past blocking was pretty good.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_03]: Dallas just managed two cuby hits and the one sack,
- 38:37[SPEAKER_03]: Morgan had a hold.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_03]: I think of the first quarter.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_03]: It didn't look that egregious, but for whatever reason they wanted to call those on us, and not to did not.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_03]: Not the Cowboys.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, for what they didn't call on Parsons was surprising that they did that.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_03]: Again, the fall start on Elton Jenkins was so dumb.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_03]: And then Sean Ryan took out Brooks on the screen, which we talked about already, but again overall.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_03]: I take that from the offensive line, second half.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_03]: We finally figured out how to do some pass blocking.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_03]: It's weird how you when you keep the same five guys together for a full game.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_03]: Yep, that they, you know, start to produce in the second half.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_03]: A mesh.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_03]: I think NBC showed that graphic.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_03]: where was it?
- 39:15[SPEAKER_03]: We had eight different offensive line combinations all of last year and this year we've already had nine different offensive line combinations.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_03]: Sweet.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_03]: It was something like that.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_03]: It's goofy when it's like, okay, uh, Belton's in.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, Belton's gone.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_03]: Tom's in.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_03]: Tom's gone air banks in.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_03]: God and you have Jordan Morgan who can play right tackle and left guard and all that.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_03]: So, but none of them well and it's just so fun.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_03]: It was a little bit better, you know what, so this is what I would do, you know, we have all these issues with the offensive line and what we're doing, the big conversation last week was, you know, are the packers letting Jordan work in down by having him play all these different positions, you know, right tackle, right guard, left guard is what I would do.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_03]: Canard who play it all right at right tackle.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's I mean there was still a lot of quite a few pressures given up, but you keep Canard on the right side.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_03]: He is a backup right tackle and the backup right guard You have Jordan Morgan as the backup left tackle backup left guard Maybe even rotate with Rashid Walker because he's been a little suspect lately
- 40:17[SPEAKER_03]: And then you have built in as the backup right tackle.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_03]: He's just the right tackle there.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_03]: You know, depending on what's going on, maybe rotate him with Kanard like you did at the beginning of the year.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_03]: But it's like keep Kanard on the right side, what she said with the Eagles that he's more comfortable on the right side of the line, keep Morgan on the left side and hope maybe he can get some sap set left tackle because it'll be early left tackle next year.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_03]: And then Belton can just stay at right tackle and focus on that.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_03]: That's what that's how I would run the offensive line.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm very, very smart.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_04]: That's amazing.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know if I agree or disagree with that.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_04]: I just know when I watched Jordan Morgan I'm like he looks like he's playing he's looks like he's wearing daddy shoes Like daddy shoes doesn't fit into the shoes.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, you know, I'm trying I'm going to work.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_04]: Like it's like no You're not he was fine in this game again.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_04]: It's a he's fine.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_04]: It's just like he's like out of position
- 41:14[SPEAKER_04]: all the time.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_03]: He's like a little bit out of positional, but the thing is, he probably agrees with you, too.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_03]: He's played left tackle his whole life, and now he's playing at the, okay, the highest level of the NFL, and they keep fucking moving him around, it's like, hey, you're going in at guard.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, you're going in at right tackle.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe that criticism, maybe that's completely true, and my criticism isn't valid, but that's what I see.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_04]: Very fair.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_03]: And with that, we'll have a quick commercial break.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_03]: And we are back with the defense.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_03]: The defense, not good at all.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_03]: Well, we were good in the first half.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_03]: I would take the first half.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_03]: But second half, it was just about every single drive for the cowboys with that ended up with points.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I will say this, there was a big thing.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_03]: about the black dexter point in the runback.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_03]: They're like, oh, momentum really shifted after that, huge momentum shift.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_03]: The defense did hold up.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_03]: It was a three now, the time after that, that the cowboy's got the ball.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_03]: So, all the way, agree long-term, the momentum shifted.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_03]: Short-term not so much, but neither which way it definitely didn't help the packers.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_03]: Dallas converted just
- 42:25[SPEAKER_03]: I was going to ask you if you would guess what their conversion rate was, but it was a lot worse than I thought, so the defense was decent on 3rd and 4th down, and it just really bad the last drive of regulation to that's what was the most shocking is.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_03]: They drove in a minute and a half to get that touchdown, brutal.
- 42:47[SPEAKER_03]: How are you feeling about Jeff Hathler right now, Todd?
- 42:49[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_04]: It's so weird.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_04]: Was he interviewed where they asked him questions like, Jeff, what the fuck?
- 42:56[SPEAKER_04]: Like, what do you do?
- 42:57[SPEAKER_03]: No, they never talked to coordinators during the game.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_03]: And I don't think the coordinators in the game are just next.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_03]: I think I don't remember if it's every week or every other week now with the coordinators, but I don't think they're going to
- 43:10[SPEAKER_04]: Normally I wouldn't care.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_04]: Like if I don't feel like Matt is going to tell us a lot if the offense sucks, but I do feel like halfly will tell us what happened with the defense sucking.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_04]: So I want to hear his explanation.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_04]: How do I feel about it?
- 43:26[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_04]: It's really weird that it happened after the defense was so good.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_04]: The defense rallied so well to the ball and this week it was like
- 43:34[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know, and it's in, I don't, is there offense that good?
- 43:37[SPEAKER_04]: Like, do they have that good of athletes?
- 43:38[SPEAKER_04]: Like, pickins is a good athlete when he's on.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_04]: But like, he just was open all the time.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_04]: It's like we weren't even trying to cover him.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know what was going on.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_04]: It's, I don't know.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_04]: It's one of those.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know what to think.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_03]: It's one of those where kind of, with like Matt LaFlor and how he's treated during laver, it's like, hey, just let him, let him let it rip, where maybe,
- 44:00[SPEAKER_03]: Half-leaf didn't feel super confident about his corners, and that's why we played so much his own because he didn't trust them on man And maybe the speed that they'd have to deal with with the cowboys, you know, pickins is an athlete those other like toll-burnt not toll-burnt whatever the hell it turbine Turbin whatever they're pretty turbin and floor noise
- 44:19[SPEAKER_03]: that's definitely it.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_03]: But they're like short shifty or quick guys.
- 44:23[SPEAKER_03]: I think that's probably what he was more worried about, you know, Adrian Cooper had a lot of mis tackles too.
- 44:28[SPEAKER_03]: That was a big issue during the game.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_03]: So I still feel really good about the defense, but they I think we let up 44 points.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_03]: The first three games combined and then we let up 40 in this game, which is almost the number one points defense going in.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_04]: We were.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_03]: And now I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't believe we are anymore.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_04]: Sam Flynn, I'll look it up, but definitely not.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_03]: Defensive line, again, not of great game, especially after Devon to Wyatt went out.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_03]: We gave up 4.5 yards per carry.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_03]: Kind of sucked to the white play.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, they picked up like seven eight yards, but he sniffed out that screen.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_03]: Really quick, it was kind of fun to watch a big old fat guy, you know, chased down the runny back or white out.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_03]: I could don't know what type of screen it was.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_03]: And then Parsons, I mean, just miss swipe in the ball out of DAX hand on that one third down.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_03]: It's one of those where it's like, you have to just admire like the capturing of the moment where it was like just a foot off and how close that game is like you watch it live and you're like, did he almost swipe that and then he watched the slow ones like, oh my god, it was just what six inches off of of changing the gate and completely.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_03]: We got that sack to force the field goal again.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_03]: That was a good play from Parsons.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_03]: Wonder what would have happened.
- 45:40[SPEAKER_03]: And then I mean, got Cooper.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I don't know if you saw this.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_03]: Adrian Cooper, Michael Parsons, and Nizier Stack House are all hanging out at Adrian Cooper's house.
- 45:52[SPEAKER_03]: At least yesterday, they were.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_03]: They went to Cooper's house.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_03]: I forget where it is.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_03]: It must be in Texas somewhere.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_03]: But they went down to see his horses.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_03]: So, Todd, what do you want to talk about?
- 46:01[SPEAKER_03]: Coupes horses?
- 46:01[SPEAKER_03]: Or do you want to talk about the defensive line?
- 46:04[SPEAKER_03]: Koop has horses.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't pick him as a horse guy.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_03]: His nickname is Calboy Koop.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_03]: I thought we've talked about this.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, that's right.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_04]: But in Rich, just because he's like southern.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_03]: True.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, actually has horses.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_03]: He actually has horses.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_03]: That was a thing last year to where Rich referred to him as Frosty.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_03]: I believe it is.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_03]: And the media asked him why they call him Frosty.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_03]: And he's, oh, well, that's his newest horses name is Frosty.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that's what got everyone to
- 46:33[SPEAKER_03]: say, oh, a drink cooker has horses.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_04]: I want to see him right of horse.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_04]: I can't imagine him running horse.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_04]: There's like there's definitely videos fast.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_04]: You know what I mean?
- 46:44[SPEAKER_04]: You know?
- 46:46[SPEAKER_04]: But he's not like, and is your stand out?
- 46:49[SPEAKER_04]: Jared Allen riding a horse is like normal.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_04]: Like that fits.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_03]: You might want to look up the measurable because I think Edron might be smaller than Jared Allen, but like someone's saying like faster.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_04]: He's like too fast to be on a horse.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_04]: Like fast people don't ride horses.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_03]: Does that make sense?
- 47:08[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe, I guess I don't know how fast Jockeys are.
- 47:10[SPEAKER_03]: They're very small and lean.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_03]: They perhaps could be quick, but maybe not fast.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I would say quick enough fast, fast people like Usain Bolt would never write a horse.
- 47:20[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you see, you seen Bolt.
- 47:22[SPEAKER_03]: I would have him as my deep shot never write a horse.
- 47:27[SPEAKER_03]: So I would have you seen Bolt like my what X receiver, whatever.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_03]: I would have the other guy you just, he's my slot receiver.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_03]: I believe he's a little bit shorter and then my scout back would be any jockey.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_04]: I wouldn't put the jocky at the bench.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_03]: I would have a line on offensive line of jockies just to see what happens.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, they would all die.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_03]: The face mask on Carl Brooks was big.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_03]: That was God just borderline two on deck.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_03]: Like just barely got a group of it.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_03]: That would have changed the game two.
- 48:06[SPEAKER_03]: That would have forced a third and short instead of it's 15 yards and they scored a few plays later And then as your stack house, you know, I talked about it when we had our preview of potentially helping out a lot this year He was not good Replacing the vantowite in this game where they just kind of ran up the middle.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_03]: He doesn't seem to
- 48:24[SPEAKER_03]: carry his own wreath at times.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_03]: He doesn't mean teen blocks, and that's kind of the big question mark now with why it being out is, you know, maybe even over the by week, we go out and find some veteran help there, but it's pretty shaky right now when, again, with why it being out having stack house and Warren Brinson, the sixth round pick, as the guys are going to have to play more snaps.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know, I believe in Caro Brooks making an impact on the deal I as well.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_04]: I know he's not the big stop-and-boy, but that's what they call that position.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_04]: Stop-and-boy?
- 49:00[SPEAKER_04]: Yep, very good.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_04]: Football more?
- 49:02[SPEAKER_04]: But I think, I think Missier can do it too.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_03]: he can be a trashcan full of dirt or maybe he's just dirt maybe he's just bad we'll have to see he was no undrafted uh... linebackers quay with a good first drive he had two tackles including a tackle for loss on the third down run to want to williams
- 49:21[SPEAKER_03]: In Cooper pretty bad game from him since kind of being Adrian Cooper this might have been his worst game I mean it seems like he had like three or four missed tackles.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe he was credit with more or less But they all seem to be TFL's two where he mess where it's a little bit more Descerning where it's like, oh, it's gonna be a loss of two yards.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, just kidding.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_03]: They picked up seven so that kind of sucked
- 49:44[SPEAKER_04]: do you remember in the end of space jam when Michael Jordan has the secret stuff and it's just water but he puts Michael secret stuff.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_04]: Do you think Quag got into Edron Cooper's secret stuff?
- 50:01[SPEAKER_04]: What, he bought a horse?
- 50:03[SPEAKER_04]: He just was playing way better, and Edger and Cooper was not.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_04]: Like Edger and Cooper found, and Quay was like in the back field, chasing things down from right to left.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_04]: It's like, what's going on here?
- 50:17[SPEAKER_04]: Like they switched jerseys.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_03]: It is weird how good Quay has been since, like the, I think the Seahawks game last year is when he kind of turned around.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_04]: Both play at their best level.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_04]: Then they'll be really good.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_04]: it's insane.
- 50:32[SPEAKER_04]: They are the mod stars then.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, they're, they have to be probably the fastest linebacker tandem in the league.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_03]: And then I see a McDuffie comes out and then it's like, oh, just kidding, we drop to an average.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_04]: Well, you pull, you pull McDuffie off and you put uh, Micah Parsons as an off-ball.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, there you go.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_04]: It's literally, that's gotta be the three fastest linebackers ever.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, has to be.
- 50:55[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 50:56[SPEAKER_04]: And average four four.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_04]: And average four four.
- 50:58[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you're right.
- 51:00[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to have to get our stats and analytics crew to look that up, but you're probably, you can't be far off there.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_03]: I can't imagine what would be better than that.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_03]: Secondary, again, oh, get this.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_03]: Not a great game.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_03]: Pickin' through the pat, hurt the packers.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_03]: He had 134 yards on eight receptions and on 11 targets, two touchdowns.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_03]: Hobbes had 7 tackles 2 solo and a pass defense.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_03]: Pf have credit to him with allowing 5 of 6 targets to be completed for 56 yards and a pass rating of 145.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_03]: So bad.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_03]: Really bad.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_03]: So bad.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_03]: Well, it was such a bad game.
- 51:38[SPEAKER_03]: One of the most fun bad games where it's like God.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_03]: Hobbes is getting shredded.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_03]: Can we please put Carrington Valentine in and the Carrington Valentine comes in and allows all six of his targets to be completed for E4 yards?
- 51:51[SPEAKER_04]: is Bowel Mountain alive and there's Bowel Mountain.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_03]: Perfect pass rating.
- 51:55[SPEAKER_03]: He had the bad missed tackle on the second pick and it's touchdown on that last drive of regulation.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_03]: It's just, you wonder if Hobbes is all the way healthy.
- 52:04[SPEAKER_03]: You wonder if maybe he should just play in the slot which is kind of his more, um,
- 52:10[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know, that's the position he's played for the most natural position.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_03]: Natural position there you go, that's the word natural natural position you're not wrong.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, pole melton, he might have, he's might be at as many offensive snaps as defensive snaps this year.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_03]: It's got to be close.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_03]: I know it's at least one on offense and maybe one on defense, but I mean, what would you rather see right now?
- 52:34[SPEAKER_03]: Valentine Hobbes, or do you actually want to see both Milton out there?
- 52:40[SPEAKER_04]: You know what?
- 52:41[SPEAKER_04]: I would like to see Bo Malm out there.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_04]: I would like to see it.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_04]: Let's see it.
- 52:47[SPEAKER_04]: We shouldn't be worse worse than a hundred and forty-five faster rating.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_03]: Well, let's see, allowing five of six and six of six maybe he could be a little bit better than that.
- 52:59[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 52:59[SPEAKER_03]: It's so it maybe it's something where it's like you give him a series when you're up
- 53:04[SPEAKER_03]: like two scores and then game come after he has a bad play, you know, given the old Isaac yottom treatment that you're going to be just going to day.
- 53:12[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, but it's you had this one bad play.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, now we're going to put hobs out there.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_04]: He's going to get burned six times.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, you don't know his knee is slowly regenerating over time.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_03]: It's it's it's the knee.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_03]: It's definitely not a bad for agency signing.
- 53:25[SPEAKER_04]: did you hear this?
- 53:27[SPEAKER_04]: Packers interested in the one, the only Asante Samuel Jr.
- 53:31[SPEAKER_03]: I saw that.
- 53:32[SPEAKER_03]: That's the same Eastern guy or whatever.
- 53:34[SPEAKER_03]: He said some scoopies also been like, I don't know if he sucks.
- 53:39[SPEAKER_03]: I just don't know.
- 53:39[SPEAKER_03]: He's thrown shit at the wall in the past again.
- 53:42[SPEAKER_03]: He was wrong about the Packers hiring.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_03]: The Ravens line-backer coach to be our defensive coordinator before we hired Jeff Halfley.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_03]: I know he's been wrong on some other things too.
- 53:52[SPEAKER_03]: He's also been right on a lot of things.
- 53:54[SPEAKER_03]: I think it was right on a lot of the cut downs at the end of training camp.
- 54:00[SPEAKER_03]: So I don't know, but I would take reporting like that with a grain of salt.
- 54:06[SPEAKER_03]: Kisha Nixon.
- 54:07[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 54:08[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, you got something to got something for me?
- 54:10[SPEAKER_04]: I was just going to say there is I mean there's a lot of people that make mistakes though in reporting like remember that time that Adam chef you bring this up all the time and you're wrong is this is is this a joke because the one time you got had that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that
- 54:29[SPEAKER_04]: Wasn't that after it wasn't he like in Atlanta at the end of his career?
- 54:33[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, it's when he signed with Ant-Lan instead of the packers.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 54:38[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, keep what could have been?
- 54:39[SPEAKER_03]: I mean he sucked when he went to the Falcons anyway, so I don't think they missed out on much.
- 54:43[SPEAKER_03]: You're so big though.
- 54:44[SPEAKER_03]: He could throw.
- 54:45[SPEAKER_03]: That's not what I know.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_03]: Keisha Nixon here that one nice break up on second down.
- 54:52[SPEAKER_03]: I think where was across the field he just jumped Got the ball not a good pass break up the deep throne over time where he did not run back and the dude number one on the Cowboys Got both his feet down.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_04]: I mean which horrible throw
- 55:07[SPEAKER_04]: People are like, oh, look at this throw.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_04]: It's like, he, it was a prayer and a half.
- 55:11[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, if it were a better throw, it would have been a jump ball in the end zone.
- 55:15[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think you can complain about that throw, especially with the outcome, because he threw it where there was no danger.
- 55:20[SPEAKER_03]: And that's what you kind of want to do in that situation.
- 55:22[SPEAKER_04]: Here's my point.
- 55:23[SPEAKER_04]: How many times out of 10 is the corner going to pick that off?
- 55:29[SPEAKER_03]: The corner is going to undercut that and pick it up.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_03]: But when you look at the still of Indak through it, both of them were next to each other.
- 55:35[SPEAKER_03]: And Kishan was actually behind the wide out.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_03]: So it was tough for him to come back.
- 55:40[SPEAKER_03]: I wonder how much of it was Kishan saying, oh, that's not going to be in bounds.
- 55:44[SPEAKER_03]: And how much of it was Kishan saying, oh, it's over time.
- 55:47[SPEAKER_03]: My legs are really tired.
- 55:48[SPEAKER_03]: It's tough for me to move that quickly.
- 55:50[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to stay right here.
- 55:51[SPEAKER_03]: Kishan would never.
- 55:52[SPEAKER_03]: Kishan won't.
- 55:53[SPEAKER_03]: He is.
- 55:53[SPEAKER_03]: He is the dog of our defense.
- 55:55[SPEAKER_03]: I still think I, he is a dog.
- 55:56[SPEAKER_04]: I don't really clone him.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_04]: No, not not not how many problems go away if we have two keyions.
- 56:03[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, I think some problems go away but then we also get a lot more pen and 11.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_04]: 11 is the answer.
- 56:08[SPEAKER_04]: 11 problems for a QBR of 150.
- 56:11[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, Xavier McKinney, he missed the one tackle on Williams on the screen, which got like another 15 yards.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_03]: X's missed two tackles.
- 56:20[SPEAKER_03]: He's last two games, which I don't remember him really missing tackles before this.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_03]: So that's kind of sucked not a big deal and then I thought it was weird that they didn't review the pick and sketch I don't think we talked about that before with the rafs, but it looks like he did catch it But it was odd that they didn't review the one where he caught it keeping two feet in and double coverage was a very ruinous grab He did catch it though True Yes, in my humble opinion.
- 56:47[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
- 56:47[SPEAKER_03]: I think you're right too and in my humble opinion Tucker craft scored special teams
- 56:54[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's it's pretty I'm proud of us for talking about it.
- 56:57[SPEAKER_03]: It was good.
- 56:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, where where do you want to go first?
- 57:02[SPEAKER_03]: Where do you want to fucking go first here two weeks in a row?
- 57:06[SPEAKER_03]: Block.
- 57:06[SPEAKER_03]: That's right.
- 57:07[SPEAKER_03]: I want to go.
- 57:08[SPEAKER_04]: That's right.
- 57:08[SPEAKER_03]: That's it.
- 57:09[SPEAKER_03]: Let's season to it.
- 57:10[SPEAKER_03]: Let's season to it.
- 57:11[SPEAKER_03]: Matthew golden.
- 57:12[SPEAKER_03]: Matthew golden.
- 57:13[SPEAKER_03]: The random spin move on the putt return.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_03]: Very cool.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_03]: Very necessary.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_03]: I think what he thought was going to happen is he was going to get hit immediately.
- 57:23[SPEAKER_03]: So he thought he was spinning out of getting, you know, decapitated right away.
- 57:28[SPEAKER_03]: But instead he spun into the hit, which was kind of a cool little
- 57:36[SPEAKER_04]: We're not, we can't blame this on Matthew Golden.
- 57:39[SPEAKER_04]: I've been saying this for years.
- 57:41[SPEAKER_04]: Do not put starters back there to return puns.
- 57:44[SPEAKER_04]: It's so stupid.
- 57:45[SPEAKER_04]: What's saving on Williams back there and if you don't trust him to run the ball, haven't fair catch it.
- 57:50[SPEAKER_04]: It's the dumbest thing in the world to put a starter back there because that's what happens.
- 57:54[SPEAKER_04]: You get guys looking up.
- 57:56[SPEAKER_04]: And you got defenders, gunners, the fastest guys in the freaking field running at him.
- 58:00[SPEAKER_04]: It's so stupid.
- 58:02[SPEAKER_04]: They did it with Randall Cobb for too long.
- 58:04[SPEAKER_04]: Recently, they did it with Jane Reed.
- 58:06[SPEAKER_04]: That was stupid.
- 58:08[SPEAKER_04]: They got Matthew Golden back there and it's like, what are we doing you guys?
- 58:12[SPEAKER_03]: I'm fine with it if they're natural partners.
- 58:16[SPEAKER_03]: Jane Reed, natural partner.
- 58:18[SPEAKER_03]: I'm fine with him back there.
- 58:19[SPEAKER_03]: I know he got hurt, but it wasn't on
- 58:26[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if he still is, but he was last year during the Super Bowl run.
- 58:29[SPEAKER_03]: No idea.
- 58:30[SPEAKER_03]: I bet you can guess him get who's your favorite player on the Eagles.
- 58:36[SPEAKER_03]: Cooper to Jean.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_03]: It's it's Cooper to Jean.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_03]: So first round Paisodam second round pick.
- 58:41[SPEAKER_03]: But hey, it worked out for him.
- 58:42[SPEAKER_03]: He was an electric punter turner for him.
- 58:44[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm not upset with having starters playing special teams, especially in return and roles.
- 58:50[SPEAKER_03]: As long as they're good at it and they're kind of risk adverse.
- 58:53[SPEAKER_03]: That's what it's been with Jean Reed where he's he will call a fairy catch if he doesn't need to.
- 58:58[SPEAKER_03]: I'm fine with it.
- 58:59[SPEAKER_03]: I just mostly want to catch the ball and not worry about someone getting hurt or someone
- 59:06[SPEAKER_04]: The Eagles and the Packers have to be the anomalies.
- 59:09[SPEAKER_04]: Other teams don't put, but we don't pay attention to players back there.
- 59:12[SPEAKER_03]: I don't do remember how we made, I know it's been a while, but do you remember how we made the playoffs in 2010?
- 59:17[SPEAKER_04]: I'll look at that.
- 59:17[SPEAKER_04]: With the Sean Jackson.
- 59:19[SPEAKER_04]: I think it's less than half.
- 59:21[SPEAKER_03]: but at the same time who who's gotten hurt on specialty like I feel like if there was a big player who got hurt on special teams on as we're trying to Matthew golden soon.
- 59:31[SPEAKER_04]: Oh good.
- 59:31[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, perfect.
- 59:32[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we should we should set that up.
- 59:34[SPEAKER_03]: He shouldn't be back and they did at least learn from him, but Romeo back.
- 59:39[SPEAKER_04]: That was a welcome.
- 59:39[SPEAKER_04]: See you at a fellow moment.
- 59:41[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, good.
- 59:42[SPEAKER_03]: He had two of them in one game and then again after the blocked play action LeFlor.
- 59:50[SPEAKER_03]: So that's the thing.
- 59:51[SPEAKER_03]: It's just a smisketa.
- 59:53[SPEAKER_03]: He wrote a pretty good article on acne packing talking about the field goal unit.
- 59:58[SPEAKER_03]: One thing to talk about is right now in the NFL, special teams is bad.
- 1:00:03[SPEAKER_03]: The field goal, protection, really bad.
- 1:00:06[SPEAKER_03]: If you remember against the Browns multiple kicks were blocked in the span of five minutes during the witching hour that decided a few games.
- 1:00:13[SPEAKER_03]: There is multiple kicks blocked this week.
- 1:00:15[SPEAKER_03]: Once again, I mean we saw the end of the bears game where they blocked the kick.
- 1:00:19[SPEAKER_03]: and it's what part of it is that you aren't really able to practice special teams in season like they never do live, feel goal, protection, you know, running that during practice.
- 1:00:33[SPEAKER_03]: The other thing too is starters and this is the big thing that Joseph's talked about.
- 1:00:38[SPEAKER_03]: So if you remember last week, the ones who allowed the field goal block were a mix of Tucker craft and Elton Jenkins apparently Tucker craft sky did get a little bit on the ball first and then it got completely swatted with the second guy, Elton's or not Elton's guy, but Jordan Markins guy and then this week it was Luke Musgrave who was on the right side.
- 1:00:58[SPEAKER_03]: went outside when he should have went inside.
- 1:01:00[SPEAKER_03]: He always got to take the inside guy when you're at the wing there.
- 1:01:03[SPEAKER_03]: And then after that, they replaced Luke Musgrave and Brant Banks with Elton Jenkins and I think a Tucker craft.
- 1:01:13[SPEAKER_03]: But the big thing here is how
- 1:01:15[SPEAKER_03]: A lot of teams don't let starters play on those units, the pump block, kick protection, the protection units.
- 1:01:24[SPEAKER_03]: And now after we had our starters go out there with Elton Jenkins, who did not have a single snap on special teams all year, had one on Sunday after we had the block.
- 1:01:34[SPEAKER_03]: So it's yes, rich sucks.
- 1:01:37[SPEAKER_03]: But he's kind of got one hand tied behind his back.
- 1:01:41[SPEAKER_03]: And when your head coach isn't allowing you to use the starters, it makes it a little bit tougher to practice if that stuff and get it through your head because again, like look, my scrape should know that like that's a pretty basic thing to know playing special teams that you got to take the inside guy because outside guy shouldn't even have enough time he can feel the ball coming in his legs just get wobbly.
- 1:02:02[SPEAKER_03]: That could be it, too, or maybe he's just so scared.
- 1:02:05[SPEAKER_03]: He's like, oh, I'll let you go right by.
- 1:02:07[SPEAKER_03]: And that's why my legs are wobbling, too.
- 1:02:10[SPEAKER_03]: But not good.
- 1:02:12[SPEAKER_03]: McManus, he made his kicks.
- 1:02:13[SPEAKER_03]: He had two solo tackles, also a pretty bad sign.
- 1:02:16[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, and then we didn't even talk about this.
- 1:02:19[SPEAKER_03]: One of the worst parts might have been just the returns in the second half where Savion seemed confused as to how to return a kick when they were doing that really ball kick that was bouncing short.
- 1:02:31[SPEAKER_03]: He never seemed to want to run up to catch it and then just keep running forward instead we kept taking it at the 20.
- 1:02:39[SPEAKER_03]: Meanwhile, the cowboys were taking it at the one and they had a couple good returns with uh, the really solid return.
- 1:02:45[SPEAKER_03]: So it was like there was a difference of, it felt like 20 yards on just about every change of possession on the kickoffs.
- 1:02:52[SPEAKER_04]: Risk adverse, just like you wanted.
- 1:02:55[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I don't know about that.
- 1:02:57[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, but...
- 1:02:58[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, what did you said?
- 1:02:59[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, don't you think Saviour should maybe run up and catch all the other thing that was weird is the cowboys.
- 1:03:03[SPEAKER_03]: It must be a change with these kickoff rules.
- 1:03:06[SPEAKER_03]: They caught it at like the one.
- 1:03:08[SPEAKER_03]: And then he went in the end zone and kneeled it.
- 1:03:11[SPEAKER_03]: And so he had to start at the 20.
- 1:03:13[SPEAKER_03]: It wasn't a touchback or sorry.
- 1:03:15[SPEAKER_03]: It wasn't a thief.
- 1:03:16[SPEAKER_04]: I don't understand that because it should be a safety.
- 1:03:20[SPEAKER_04]: And then they even taught the refs even talked about it, but I don't know.
- 1:03:24[SPEAKER_04]: I guess I just don't understand.
- 1:03:25[SPEAKER_03]: I assume that's just, I don't know.
- 1:03:27[SPEAKER_03]: I think that's part of the dynamic kickoff now, because that's what this is.
- 1:03:30[SPEAKER_03]: Is the dynamic kickoff, that's what they're calling it, but it's like, if you remember the Lions Packers Matt Flynn game, Pat Lee had a safety on a kickoff, because he kneeled it after taking it half a yard out of the end zone.
- 1:03:42[SPEAKER_03]: So it was weird that that's still, because if that's the case, why wouldn't save you on?
- 1:03:48[SPEAKER_03]: Well, God, where did it bounce?
- 1:03:50[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, no, because if it bounce short, then it would still be at the 20 to be honest.
- 1:03:54[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know the rules well enough, obviously, because like when they that happened, I was like, uh, that ball came out and they were talking and I was like, are we gonna get this ball back?
- 1:04:04[SPEAKER_04]: And then they were like, no, that's it's the whatever it's part of the kick.
- 1:04:08[SPEAKER_04]: It was like, okay, well, I guess they changed it.
- 1:04:11[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so that's it.
- 1:04:12[SPEAKER_03]: Special teams, anything else on special teams, you love Rich?
- 1:04:15[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, love Rich.
- 1:04:17[SPEAKER_04]: No criticism for Rich.
- 1:04:19[SPEAKER_03]: bad game, shitty game, tie a game.
- 1:04:21[SPEAKER_03]: But hey, we can only go from here, right?
- 1:04:24[SPEAKER_03]: We're two one and one.
- 1:04:27[SPEAKER_04]: Or we could lose.
- 1:04:28[SPEAKER_04]: And then that wouldn't be up.
- 1:04:29[SPEAKER_04]: That would be down.
- 1:04:30[SPEAKER_03]: True.
- 1:04:31[SPEAKER_03]: And with that, take news.
- 1:04:33[SPEAKER_04]: Football time.
- 1:04:48[SPEAKER_03]: You know, no, no clips, nothing, nothing too crazy here.
- 1:04:53[SPEAKER_03]: I just want to talk about Matt LaFlor, Matt LaFlor and this game, you know, it wasn't a good end of the game.
- 1:05:02[SPEAKER_03]: We talked about it how.
- 1:05:04[SPEAKER_03]: The other thing, I mean, I don't know what the blame game is, he talked a little bit today how while he was watching the final drive of overtime, how it felt like watching a car crash in slow motion, which just raises the question, it's like, don't you have a microphone that's going to Jordan's headsets, you can tell him to hurry up, don't they?
- 1:05:25[SPEAKER_04]: Let me ask you this.
- 1:05:25[SPEAKER_04]: Don't they cut it after a certain amount of time?
- 1:05:28[SPEAKER_04]: Is that true or no?
- 1:05:29[SPEAKER_03]: With that was at one with 15 seconds left on the play clock.
- 1:05:32[SPEAKER_03]: They cut it off.
- 1:05:32[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, I got you.
- 1:05:34[SPEAKER_04]: I didn't know I knew that that was at one time the rule They cut it, but
- 1:05:38[SPEAKER_03]: but it's just it's very strange and you just look at the last let's say um what five games five regular season games so we have this one where we melt down at the end you know one the end of the first half that was dumb probably should have just kneeled on it after the fall start instead of trying to go for points when there's 20 seconds left you have no timeouts I'm not as pissed about that one
- 1:06:01[SPEAKER_03]: Especially like Romeo Dobbs 2 plays before, almost like Jordan just missed them at the 50 which would have changed everything and I think they were just hunting after that But after it was first in 15 unlike our 22 probably just kneel on it either which way whatever didn't work out very well the end of the game I mean just no real plan it felt like like again it felt like they were playing for a field goal
- 1:06:25[SPEAKER_03]: So, that's just this game.
- 1:06:26[SPEAKER_03]: You look at last week against the Browns, having Jordan love throw it on 3rd and 3, you know, everything with just falling apart with a block field.
- 1:06:34[SPEAKER_03]: Well, that is an exactly math.
- 1:06:36[SPEAKER_03]: The first two weeks this year, I mean, it very, very minor.
- 1:06:40[SPEAKER_03]: But it just felt like in the second half, we were all breaks, no gas, and the offense, like the best the offense has looked all year.
- 1:06:47[SPEAKER_03]: What's the second half of this game?
- 1:06:49[SPEAKER_03]: Where we needed to score points.
- 1:06:51[SPEAKER_03]: Outside of that, it's like if we don't need to score points, it feels like we're a little bit too conservative at times.
- 1:06:56[SPEAKER_03]: And then you go back to the last regular season game of last year, it was the Chicago Bears game, where we completely fell apart in the last minute where he called that time out where if he didn't, the clock would have ran out and we would have beaten the bear.
- 1:07:08[SPEAKER_03]: So it's like when you have three really bad games of mismanagement, just as a head coach,
- 1:07:15[SPEAKER_03]: that's when you really get scared and I haven't been like a we should move on from that before guy and I'm still not but now it's like it what it is it's like it's like if you're you know let's say you're you're seeing someone you're seeing a you're dating a woman a fine woman
- 1:07:32[SPEAKER_03]: And then you know it's going good.
- 1:07:33[SPEAKER_03]: It's good.
- 1:07:34[SPEAKER_03]: It's going good.
- 1:07:35[SPEAKER_03]: I got your attention.
- 1:07:36[SPEAKER_03]: It's going good.
- 1:07:36[SPEAKER_03]: And then all of a sudden like a couple things happen or she says something like I don't like your dog or just a like a red flag pops up and then you're like maybe this isn't going to work out.
- 1:07:47[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe maybe maybe this person's kind of a bitch and maybe maybe Matt's kind of a bitch.
- 1:07:51[SPEAKER_03]: That's kind of what we've seen here these last couple weeks.
- 1:07:53[SPEAKER_03]: So
- 1:07:55[SPEAKER_03]: Red flags up, maybe we can still work it out, but it's like the thing I go back to to is like Nick Staryani.
- 1:08:00[SPEAKER_03]: He's kind of a weird head coach.
- 1:08:02[SPEAKER_03]: You know, he makes some bad decisions too.
- 1:08:04[SPEAKER_03]: So the fact that the Eagles want a Super Bowl last year gives me some hope here too with Matt, not like I think he's a bad head coach, but it's getting tougher and tougher for him to be the great offensive mind offensive coordinator, but maybe lacking in the head coach category.
- 1:08:21[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, two things.
- 1:08:22[SPEAKER_04]: So Matt is, I think like what you get from Matt is like the preparation and some really creative end.
- 1:08:31[SPEAKER_04]: I would say for the most part, well-timed play calls.
- 1:08:35[SPEAKER_04]: He's not
- 1:08:36[SPEAKER_04]: necessarily Ben Johnson as a play caller but like Matt's pretty damn good at getting creative when it matters and getting his guys to execute these plays and he schemes guys open over and over against like that's what we with Matt.
- 1:08:50[SPEAKER_04]: We probably don't get with Matt is like clutch time and like that's like evident throughout the years.
- 1:08:57[SPEAKER_04]: That's my first point.
- 1:08:57[SPEAKER_04]: My second point is, Matt is like the guy, like, he needs a pep talk.
- 1:09:03[SPEAKER_04]: Like you need to like, we can hype him up.
- 1:09:06[SPEAKER_04]: Like we can turn him into a football guy.
- 1:09:08[SPEAKER_04]: We just got to like, we can use like a pep talk to be aggressive.
- 1:09:13[SPEAKER_04]: That's like my take on him.
- 1:09:14[SPEAKER_04]: It's like, hey, we need somebody to like stand by a man.
- 1:09:16[SPEAKER_04]: Be like, no, no, no, no.
- 1:09:17[SPEAKER_04]: I was like, don't, don't.
- 1:09:19[SPEAKER_04]: Don't run a draw on 4th and 8 that's be aggressive like to attack them like go after him like if you had a guy that just followed him around like a whole back guy Yes, but instead of a whole back guy.
- 1:09:32[SPEAKER_04]: He's a it's foot foot to the gas like pedal to the metal.
- 1:09:36[SPEAKER_04]: Let's go.
- 1:09:36[SPEAKER_03]: He would do it So it's hilarious that you said that because I was even gonna call into like wielding Taush on Monday when everyone's complain I'm like, yeah, maybe I'll focus on working uh, but
- 1:09:47[SPEAKER_03]: I thought the same thing because it's like I'd same exact thing where it's like some have a holdback guy He's got um got it can't remember his name right now, but the analytics guy Conor Lewis Conor Lewis the assistant quarterback coach and like analytics guy He needs a captain obvious guy.
- 1:10:04[SPEAKER_03]: He needs a guy next to him and honestly I thought of it You know, uh invincible where they had trial.
- 1:10:08[SPEAKER_03]: It's for like a wide receiver for the Eagles
- 1:10:10[SPEAKER_03]: Yep, hold it at states papali hold it at stadium view and you just need a captain obvious football guy a guy at the bar who's played Madden who's watched a lot of football Who's like, you know, remember when we had Aaron Jones and he'd finish a game with 12 touches and Mads like I got to get the Aaron Jones ball I will do that.
- 1:10:28[SPEAKER_03]: I will tell you to do that
- 1:10:31[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, should you call a timeout so that the bear's have more time?
- 1:10:33[SPEAKER_03]: No, I'll tell you don't do that Matt.
- 1:10:35[SPEAKER_03]: Do not do that.
- 1:10:35[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, should you challenge this?
- 1:10:37[SPEAKER_03]: A very obvious play that you should not challenge?
- 1:10:39[SPEAKER_03]: I'll tell you not to do that.
- 1:10:41[SPEAKER_03]: And then here to I'll tell you hey, Matt.
- 1:10:43[SPEAKER_03]: Tell Jordan to, you know, go a little faster here and let's move the ball and actually throw the ball into the end zone.
- 1:10:50[SPEAKER_03]: You know, he needs a common sense guy.
- 1:10:52[SPEAKER_04]: you know it could just be like Matt has a headset that goes to Jordan we could send a couch and our headset goes to Matt and it's just like it could be one word and just like hey like no okay we just like yeah the mic on we're like hey tempo tempo and then Matt's like yeah tempo hey tempo let's go
- 1:11:13[SPEAKER_04]: Or when he grabs the flag, as he's you see him looking up at the big screen and you can see his right hand is pocket You're like Matt put it away put it away and then he just okay.
- 1:11:24[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, yeah, good call put it away.
- 1:11:25[SPEAKER_03]: We'll make you just do that We'll make it really tight too like you're saying where we have like when should we say on the play clock between 35 and 34 seconds We have one second to say our one word
- 1:11:36[SPEAKER_03]: That's what we need.
- 1:11:37[SPEAKER_04]: How about any time Matt's face is on the broadcast because those are always the times where I'm like no don't do it or yes, we got to do it and then I think to like I do still think he needs pep talks though.
- 1:11:51[SPEAKER_04]: It's like no like let's let's go for it here and like he's like now
- 1:11:56[SPEAKER_04]: They can kick the ball really far, so maybe we shouldn't do this.
- 1:12:00[SPEAKER_04]: It's like dude, who fucking cares if they can kick the ball really far?
- 1:12:04[SPEAKER_04]: I just wanted to be more of a football guy.
- 1:12:05[SPEAKER_04]: I just want somebody to pump him up and be like, no, we got this.
- 1:12:08[SPEAKER_04]: Be aggressive.
- 1:12:09[SPEAKER_04]: Because that's when this team is the best.
- 1:12:11[SPEAKER_04]: That's when Jordan loves the best when we have to go get points in it.
- 1:12:16[SPEAKER_03]: I think he gets in his own way.
- 1:12:18[SPEAKER_03]: You talked about to how he schemes stuff up at the right time.
- 1:12:21[SPEAKER_03]: I believe what he said in the presser today, because it was like the play calls at the very end, like the Matthew golden screen.
- 1:12:29[SPEAKER_03]: He said if they called that, because they wanted to get digs, I think, yeah, because digs ran right in.
- 1:12:35[SPEAKER_03]: He ran right past Romeo and got Matthew golden.
- 1:12:38[SPEAKER_03]: And after that he said they set that up so that they could throw that little swing past him and will Wilson and it's like why are we setting up two short shit plays when we need to go to the end zone within the last minute so that it's like again, it's just he outsparts himself at times and I just don't get it is getting too cute.
- 1:12:57[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, and that but that's again like he thought about that all week of like we're gonna use this to set that up It's the preparation is there, but then it's like to your point like being Captain obvious.
- 1:13:08[SPEAKER_04]: It's like Who fucking cares about that run your best play yeah just run your best plays down the field and let's just beat them They can't they can't stop us if we just skim ourselves open Which you've been doing all game just keep doing it like that is the thing that and it's really easiest sit here in hindsight
- 1:13:28[SPEAKER_04]: I do feel like if we could see the play call like Madden, like if we could watch Madden, then it's so cool, R2, R2, I feel like no, it's the whole not, we need 10, we need 10 yards, not seven, like whatever we do it.
- 1:13:43[SPEAKER_03]: Well, that's what it was last week, too, where it's like, I don't know if he had just all that great.
- 1:13:48[SPEAKER_03]: Like he'll, he'll adjust short term, but maybe not long term, because it's like long term in the viewing it as a full game.
- 1:13:56[SPEAKER_03]: because it's like, why did Chris Brooks not play more against the Browns?
- 1:14:00[SPEAKER_03]: Why did you not run more short shit when we had no time to pass?
- 1:14:02[SPEAKER_03]: It's like that kind of came as a surprise to him, and it's just, I don't know.
- 1:14:07[SPEAKER_03]: I still think it's good.
- 1:14:08[SPEAKER_03]: I still don't think we should move on from on, but we'll see again, if we, if we have another game like this where we lose due to coaching, and we lose in the first round of playoffs,
- 1:14:17[SPEAKER_03]: I would be fine with moving on, you know, again, depending on what happens, I might be fine with moving on from that look floor and just keeping, uh, halfway, which I happen with what happened anyways, but it's like it's not as crazy as it would have sounded too weak to go.
- 1:14:32[SPEAKER_04]: I just think he needs to, he needs somebody to help him out when he gets stressed at the end again.
- 1:14:39[SPEAKER_03]: He needs us.
- 1:14:39[SPEAKER_04]: That's it.
- 1:14:39[SPEAKER_04]: That could fix it all.
- 1:14:40[SPEAKER_03]: We could, we should write him a letter.
- 1:14:43[SPEAKER_04]: What if he did have somebody that was like, all right, hey, I'm just going to like hang out by you in the last five minutes of each half.
- 1:14:50[SPEAKER_03]: That's when all the problems happen.
- 1:14:52[SPEAKER_03]: I do wonder too, if it's, I don't like Connor Lewis's clear glasses.
- 1:14:56[SPEAKER_03]: He's the guy with the clear glasses.
- 1:14:57[SPEAKER_03]: That's always around the floor.
- 1:14:59[SPEAKER_03]: It's too like hipster.
- 1:15:00[SPEAKER_03]: It's too modern.
- 1:15:01[SPEAKER_03]: I don't want that.
- 1:15:02[SPEAKER_04]: Well, it's getting Connor out of there.
- 1:15:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's, we got to fire him.
- 1:15:06[SPEAKER_04]: We don't need a Connor in there.
- 1:15:08[SPEAKER_04]: We need like a we need like a Dwayne.
- 1:15:11[SPEAKER_03]: We don't need a Connor.
- 1:15:12[SPEAKER_03]: We need a play caller.
- 1:15:14[SPEAKER_03]: That wasn't very good.
- 1:15:16[SPEAKER_03]: No, I was like a D-minus.
- 1:15:19[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that was very good.
- 1:15:20[SPEAKER_04]: But anyways, we fixed the offense Matt costs.
- 1:15:25[SPEAKER_03]: We're very smart with that.
- 1:15:28[SPEAKER_03]: Todd, do you have the stump spending for the week?
- 1:15:32[SPEAKER_03]: reminder for those at home I am I'm two and one on the regular season two and two if you count the pre-season stumpspenny question but we're only going to count that if it benefits me or it doesn't make me under 500 at the end of the year.
- 1:15:45[SPEAKER_04]: Okay so stumpspenny for the week coming out of the by week last season Green Bay Beach Chicago 20 to 19 who scored the winning rushing touchdown with three minutes left.
- 1:16:03[SPEAKER_03]: Well, it wasn't Jordan Love, I can't, couldn't have been Josh Jacobs, wasn't Martian Lloyd.
- 1:16:11[SPEAKER_03]: God, I wonder if it was a jet sweet, but who would it have been, maybe Christian Watson, probably not?
- 1:16:20[SPEAKER_03]: For some, I wanted, I think Chris Brooks did score once last year, I'm gonna go with Chris Brooks.
- 1:16:26[SPEAKER_04]: It was Jordan Love.
- 1:16:28[SPEAKER_03]: It was Jordan left.
- 1:16:29[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, it's fucking.
- 1:16:30[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, because I was thinking I was I should have thought more on that because I think when it happened I was like, is he gonna do the I own new thing because that was in Chicago, but he didn't do it Yep, it was a one-yard run Lame.
- 1:16:43[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, then we went for a two-point conversion and failed it
- 1:16:46[SPEAKER_03]: Hmm, nice.
- 1:16:47[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that that was because it was so great.
- 1:16:51[SPEAKER_03]: That adds up.
- 1:16:51[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 1:16:52[SPEAKER_03]: Well, now I won't, you know, as I said, I'm now two and two for the season.
- 1:16:55[SPEAKER_03]: So I am 500, which could be seen as a tie.
- 1:16:59[SPEAKER_03]: I'll put together there.
- 1:17:02[SPEAKER_03]: We do not have a preview.
- 1:17:04[SPEAKER_03]: Because we don't have a game next week.
- 1:17:06[SPEAKER_03]: Once again, we will have our by-week bananse.
- 1:17:08[SPEAKER_03]: Everyone's favorite episode of the year.
- 1:17:09[SPEAKER_03]: So make sure to tune in for that.
- 1:17:11[SPEAKER_03]: We will have Billy back for that.
- 1:17:12[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure everyone is clamoring for him to make his much anticipated return after being a life updates too.
- 1:17:19[SPEAKER_04]: I heard.
- 1:17:20[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah.
- 1:17:21[SPEAKER_04]: to the next week to find out.
- 1:17:23[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, I don't think that's true, but I guess we'll see.
- 1:17:25[SPEAKER_03]: Wow, it was a cliffhanger, he just squashed his odds and ends here to finish things out.
- 1:17:34[SPEAKER_03]: One thing I just wanted to say, Lind Lake, the Packer Brewery and uptown Minneapolis who was our sponsor two years ago, and then I didn't reach out after that.
- 1:17:43[SPEAKER_03]: They are going out of business.
- 1:17:45[SPEAKER_03]: Their last day of operation is October 7th, so that is a bummer.
- 1:17:50[SPEAKER_03]: I'm gonna have to find a new packer bar in the area for when games are blacked out.
- 1:17:55[SPEAKER_03]: We have a couple prospects out there So if anyone knows of any good ones, we know the park tavern is good Yes, but that place gets really really busy and I remember five years ago.
- 1:18:05[SPEAKER_03]: I
- 1:18:06[SPEAKER_03]: was getting really upset because the audio was about a second ahead of the visual on the screen.
- 1:18:11[SPEAKER_03]: Oh.
- 1:18:11[SPEAKER_03]: So you would know the play before it happened.
- 1:18:14[SPEAKER_03]: There's Gabe's neighborhood bar and kitchen in St.
- 1:18:17[SPEAKER_03]: Paul, which is somewhat promising.
- 1:18:19[SPEAKER_03]: And then there's a place called Pat's Tap in Minneapolis, which claims to be a packer bar, but they also have Skibo and something else.
- 1:18:26[SPEAKER_03]: It seems to
- 1:18:33[SPEAKER_03]: No, no, I don't, it may be this, it's in St.
- 1:18:36[SPEAKER_03]: Paul, but Zim, our friend Shadowed Zim, he's been there for a packer game, he said it was good, and it was a packer bar, and they do advertise that they have the packer game sound on, so that is the big thing there too.
- 1:18:49[SPEAKER_03]: So that's probably where we're going to try first.
- 1:18:52[SPEAKER_04]: But again, if Dave's neighborhood bar in kitchen, their Facebook has like seven Vikings fans photos.
- 1:18:59[SPEAKER_03]: That's, that's what gave me hesitation, but Zim made me feel better, because they had an event.
- 1:19:04[SPEAKER_03]: It was the Viking game pajama party, but I don't know why I'm fucking talking about all this.
- 1:19:10[SPEAKER_03]: They, for last week in Europe, because it was, that's what I'm seeing.
- 1:19:12[SPEAKER_04]: Because a bunch of people are Viking's pajamas.
- 1:19:14[SPEAKER_03]: But I scrolled for like five minutes after that, and I was the only real Viking advertisement that I saw for that place.
- 1:19:20[SPEAKER_03]: So, we'll have to give it a try.
- 1:19:21[SPEAKER_03]: But again, if you know a place in the greater Twin Cities area, please email us at pimpapaccacinema.com
- 1:19:30[SPEAKER_04]: Also, they still do the thing where they show like the Packers like Pat website has all the Packer bars of your Packers everywhere But we did that back in the day.
- 1:19:39[SPEAKER_03]: If you remember 12 years ago, we went to the Buffalo test and that was a mix 50 50 Packers Like so it's not much but yeah, it's just it's more of like they will have the Packers game on not a Packer bar
- 1:19:51[SPEAKER_03]: They did guide me correctly, because at least the ones that I went to that I clicked on in the dense Metropolis area, whatever we want to fucking call it.
- 1:20:02[SPEAKER_03]: Clicking on them, they do advertise as legit packer bars, so we'll have to see.
- 1:20:06[SPEAKER_03]: Corrections from last week.
- 1:20:09[SPEAKER_03]: I said, Carmen Policy fired Joe Walsh.
- 1:20:12[SPEAKER_03]: It was Bill Walsh.
- 1:20:13[SPEAKER_03]: Joe Walsh is the guitarist for the Eagles.
- 1:20:16[SPEAKER_03]: I saw him open up for time, putting the heartbreakers back in 2018.
- 1:20:18[SPEAKER_03]: I want to say Rocky Mountain High.
- 1:20:22[SPEAKER_03]: He's got a big nose.
- 1:20:24[SPEAKER_03]: Joe Walsh very cool.
- 1:20:25[SPEAKER_03]: I said the Cowboys had a guy named with last name Turbin.
- 1:20:29[SPEAKER_03]: It is Turbin, not Turbin.
- 1:20:32[SPEAKER_03]: I said Wayne Larvie said that the Brown's almost blocked the kick.
- 1:20:34[SPEAKER_03]: It was a Larry McCarren who said that and I said tarryl buckley coached at Louisiana I meant to say Louisville So that is that is all the corrections from last week very very important.
- 1:20:46[SPEAKER_03]: We did have four comments very very cool If you remember we talked about Hobart last week Hobart is in Tanzania
- 1:20:57[SPEAKER_03]: Which is what is Tasmania like the greater Australia.
- 1:21:00[SPEAKER_03]: I'd be curious if Tasmania is the island below right, but but do these are they same greater the greater Australia area, you know, like like the suburbs around the Twin Cities here out state.
- 1:21:13[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, like if you're from Tasmania.
- 1:21:15[SPEAKER_03]: Are you like I'm Australian.
- 1:21:16[SPEAKER_03]: I would like to know that anyways been in Hobart if you remember I did the impression so confused us Tasmania is part of Australia.
- 1:21:25[SPEAKER_03]: You're saying oh, it is.
- 1:21:28[SPEAKER_03]: I was asking.
- 1:21:28[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 1:21:29[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 1:21:29[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yes, it is.
- 1:21:30[SPEAKER_03]: Has meaning is in a country.
- 1:21:33[SPEAKER_03]: No.
- 1:21:33[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 1:21:34[SPEAKER_03]: There we go.
- 1:21:34[SPEAKER_03]: Answer.
- 1:21:35[SPEAKER_03]: We got our answer there.
- 1:21:36[SPEAKER_03]: And it was bending.
- 1:21:37[SPEAKER_03]: It's like a state.
- 1:21:38[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 1:21:38[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:21:39[SPEAKER_03]: We'll never know for sure.
- 1:21:42[SPEAKER_03]: Ben, Ben in Hobart.
- 1:21:43[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, we don't have Ben in Hobart.
- 1:21:45[SPEAKER_03]: Did comment and said, I absolutely nailed the accent.
- 1:21:49[SPEAKER_03]: If you remember, I said Hobart last week.
- 1:21:51[SPEAKER_03]: So he said that was good enough.
- 1:21:52[SPEAKER_03]: We also have another comment from Mr. Mrs. Alounder, who said first time listening in Australia, gets a mention follows.
- 1:21:59[SPEAKER_03]: So apparently, we're very big in Australia.
- 1:22:03[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, we had one from Logan saying, oh, God, he had a long one on the full thing pull up here.
- 1:22:08[SPEAKER_03]: We have one from Jen.
- 1:22:09[SPEAKER_03]: If you remember, too, we talked about the one packer fan or some guy on Twitter who was talking about the piped in noise at the Browns game.
- 1:22:17[SPEAKER_03]: Jen was at the game and she did reiterate what we said that the Browns fans were smacking everything to make noise.
- 1:22:22[SPEAKER_03]: Saw them at it since the pack ran out on the field.
- 1:22:25[SPEAKER_03]: I had to shake my head at reading the tweets about the pump in noise, so she did agree with us.
- 1:22:30[SPEAKER_03]: And then Logan said, just watch the cowboy game, and I have to say what was Matt doing before half, and at the end of OT being super aggressive right before half leading to a turnover and giving the cowboys the lead, I'm fine with being aggressive there, but then to let it all burn out an OT to settle for a tie was ridiculous, and rich better be packing, but I guess as long as it sees a nice guy, maybe we should keep him, that's what's more important than coaching.
- 1:22:54[SPEAKER_03]: very good.
- 1:22:55[SPEAKER_03]: I like comments like that because it's like, ah, you'll listen.
- 1:22:57[SPEAKER_03]: You know that I keep bitching about, uh, it was an intro last year.
- 1:23:00[SPEAKER_03]: You know, you hired the man first in the coach second and Matt is sticking to that.
- 1:23:07[SPEAKER_03]: With that, Todd, do you have anything else?
- 1:23:11[SPEAKER_03]: We have our, again, by week demands the next week.
- 1:23:13[SPEAKER_03]: We'll probably have some stupid draft and then preview the
- 1:23:19[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, anything you got to get through.
- 1:23:21[SPEAKER_03]: What's our we get it allude to the stupid draft now?
- 1:23:23[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I have any idea.
- 1:23:24[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not quite going to do what we're going to do.
- 1:23:26[SPEAKER_03]: This is year seven.
- 1:23:27[SPEAKER_03]: I think I just want to have a fun one and do like a draft of favorite packer moments, excluding the Super Bowl, which are maybe including the Super Bowl, maybe everyone gets one Super Bowl pick.
- 1:23:40[SPEAKER_03]: But we'll have something like, we'll have something like that, yeah.
- 1:23:43[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, no, so not like a silly one.
- 1:23:47[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, what would you want to do for a silly one?
- 1:23:49[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.
- 1:23:50[SPEAKER_04]: Well, hey, there you go.
- 1:23:51[SPEAKER_04]: If you're listening, talked about drafts, favorites, like movie football players.
- 1:23:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, Billy, Billy had that, and if we would have had more offseason episodes, we would have done it.
- 1:24:01[SPEAKER_03]: But I just don't know if that hits the same during the season, and plus I don't think it would be very good at it.
- 1:24:05[SPEAKER_03]: It might not be as entertaining, because I haven't watched enough sports football movies in my time as I'd like to.
- 1:24:12[SPEAKER_03]: You know, Rudy's good, you know, he did this with the other day.
- 1:24:16[SPEAKER_03]: Rudy's good, the longest yard, water boy, the replacement, whatever the Titans.
- 1:24:22[SPEAKER_03]: I haven't watched it that one in a while, radio.
- 1:24:24[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, so good.
- 1:24:26[SPEAKER_03]: Is radio.
- 1:24:27[SPEAKER_03]: Who's your favorite character in radio?
- 1:24:30[SPEAKER_03]: Is it radio?
- 1:24:32[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, keep it good in junior.
- 1:24:33[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 1:24:34[SPEAKER_03]: Is my favorite character?
- 1:24:35[SPEAKER_03]: It's a good pick.
- 1:24:36[SPEAKER_03]: I remember one time, I'm part of the movie.
- 1:24:37[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's listening to the radio when he's out in the rain.
- 1:24:41[SPEAKER_04]: I want to see if it's like an athlete listens to the radio all over the place.
- 1:24:45[SPEAKER_03]: So he got his name there was a kid that went to our high school always had a radio remember that.
- 1:24:49[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, what was his name?
- 1:24:50[SPEAKER_03]: Can tell you I think well, what do we call them radio?
- 1:24:53[SPEAKER_03]: Probably make sense.
- 1:24:58[SPEAKER_03]: All right, Todd, you got anything else before we get out of here.
- 1:25:01[SPEAKER_04]: I know what, no, I don't have anything else.
- 1:25:04[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we, you know, we skirted the line once again, a little close this week on some certain topics.
- 1:25:10[SPEAKER_03]: God, do I want to mention the NFC North?
- 1:25:12[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think we need to mention the NFC North.
- 1:25:13[SPEAKER_03]: We'll have time next week to regroup.
- 1:25:15[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's a good next week topic.
- 1:25:17[SPEAKER_03]: The lines are the A3 and 1.
- 1:25:18[SPEAKER_03]: They must be.
- 1:25:25[SPEAKER_04]: Let me just google that real quick.
- 1:25:26[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:25:27[SPEAKER_03]: Three of them.
- 1:25:27[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 1:25:27[SPEAKER_03]: Well with that.
- 1:25:29[SPEAKER_03]: Shit.
- 1:25:31[SPEAKER_03]: It ain't dealing.
- 1:25:32[SPEAKER_03]: Take us out.
- 1:25:35[SPEAKER_04]: All right, our wind streak shows up as zero.
- 1:25:39[SPEAKER_04]: It's not L1 or W1.
- 1:25:42[SPEAKER_03]: It's just zero.
- 1:25:45[SPEAKER_03]: God, I wish I was sweet.
- 1:25:47[SPEAKER_03]: That would have been good read at the end, too.
