- 0:01Speaker 1: There is a major story that needs to be on
- 0:03Speaker 1: your radar, and it's one that concerns now China yet
- 0:07Speaker 1: again and the CDC issuing a travel warning over a
- 0:12Speaker 1: viral outbreak in China that is spread by mosquito bites.
- 0:18Speaker 1: The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issuing a
- 0:22Speaker 1: Level two travel notice. This is much like what we
- 0:26Speaker 1: witness with the coronavirus for a province in China due
- 0:32Speaker 1: to a quote major outbreak, the agency is recommending travelers
- 0:37Speaker 1: practice enhance precautions. As of August six, if you believe
- 0:42Speaker 1: the numbers coming out of China, over seven thousand confirmed
- 0:47Speaker 1: cases of chikungunya have been reported, with the outbreak spreading
- 0:52Speaker 1: to Hong Kong and other provinces. Now, what is this disease? Well,
- 0:59Speaker 1: Symptoms to typically appear, they say three to seven days
- 1:02Speaker 1: after a mosquito bite, and while most recover within a week,
- 1:06Speaker 1: there are major problems that can happen because of this
- 1:10Speaker 1: mosquito born viral disease characterize as being major issues with fever,
- 1:17Speaker 1: severe joint pain, severe headaches, muscle aches, joint swelling, and
- 1:23Speaker 1: a rash. There is also a concern over death even
- 1:28Speaker 1: though it's being categorized as rare infants. They're very concerned
- 1:32Speaker 1: about older adults and people with certain health conditions will
- 1:36Speaker 1: also face high risk of severe symptoms and possibly death.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Yet again, another concern of the similarities we're talking about
- 1:45Speaker 1: here because of what happened last time when it came
- 1:48Speaker 1: out of China.
- 1:50Speaker 2: Now in twenty twenty five, this.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Strand has affected approximately two hundred and forty thousand people
- 1:55Speaker 1: across sixteen countries, resulting, they say, in around nine the deaths.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Chinese authorities have mobilized intense containment strategies, including drones to
- 2:07Speaker 1: locate standing water, insecticide spraying, even targeting individuals before entering buildings,
- 2:15Speaker 1: deployment of mosquito eating fish, fines or penalties for stagnant
- 2:19Speaker 1: water accumulation in hospital isolation under mosquito netting. Here is
- 2:25Speaker 1: more from Fox News Channel about the CDC putting out
- 2:29Speaker 1: the warning for Americans tonight.
- 2:32Speaker 3: A viral outbreak in China prompts the Centers for Disease
- 2:35Speaker 3: Control and Prevention the CDC to issue a travel warning.
- 2:40Speaker 3: More than seven thousand cases of this disease have been
- 2:43Speaker 3: reported so far. State Department correspondent Jillian Turner has details
- 2:47Speaker 3: Tonight Live from the State Department and even Jillian.
- 2:49Speaker 4: Good Evening Breath. The CDC, as you mentioned, is warning
- 2:52Speaker 4: Americans traveling to China about chikungunya. It is a virus
- 2:56Speaker 4: that spreads to humans through infective mosquito bites. It can
- 2:59Speaker 4: cause severe illness, with symptoms that mimic pretty closely dangay
- 3:04Speaker 4: fever and zecavirus, mostly found in Africa. Here's what the
- 3:07Speaker 4: CDC says about it. They say most people, in fact,
- 3:10Speaker 4: you get better within a week. However, some can have
- 3:13Speaker 4: severe joint pain for months two years. Other symptoms include
- 3:17Speaker 4: severe fever and fatigue. The outbreak now is in the
- 3:20Speaker 4: Chinese province goang Dong. It's near Hong Kong, with more
- 3:23Speaker 4: than seven thousand cases reported so far, prompting some pretty
- 3:27Speaker 4: dramatic measures to contain the spread, like mandatory insect repellent
- 3:32Speaker 4: blasts for people entering the area, mandatory property checks for
- 3:36Speaker 4: stagnant water, which attracts mosquitoes and when found is now
- 3:40Speaker 4: punishable by fines or even arrest.
- 3:44Speaker 5: If you happen to get this, they're quarantining you in
- 3:46Speaker 5: hospitals with mosquito netting and not letting you out for
- 3:50Speaker 5: a week. These are the kind of draconian responses we
- 3:53Speaker 5: saw with COVID. We're seeing it again.
- 3:56Speaker 4: The CDC says Americans traveling to eight other countries are
- 4:00Speaker 4: also at elevated risk of exposure to the virus, even
- 4:04Speaker 4: if there is no current outbreak there. People at risk
- 4:07Speaker 4: for more severe cases of chicunngunya include newborns, senior sixty
- 4:12Speaker 4: five years and up, as well as people with diabetes
- 4:16Speaker 4: or heart disease. Now, the good news is that, unlike COVID,
- 4:20Speaker 4: deaths from this disease are exceedingly rare. You can also
- 4:23Speaker 4: protect yourself by getting vaccinated against it, or by preventing
- 4:27Speaker 4: mosquito bites in the first place through all the usual
- 4:30Speaker 4: mechanisms insect repellent netting, wearing long sleeves, and staying in
- 4:34Speaker 4: air conditioning.
- 4:35Speaker 3: Right, Jillian turn A live at the State Department, Julian,
- 4:38Speaker 3: thank you.
- 4:39Speaker 1: You listen to this warning. And there's a couple of
- 4:41Speaker 1: points here that need to be made clear. Number one,
- 4:44Speaker 1: there's no specific treatment for this, so management focuses on
- 4:48Speaker 1: symptom relief, rest, hydration, over the counterpane relief, and vaccines
- 4:54Speaker 1: as they mentioned, are available in the US and recommended
- 4:56Speaker 1: for travelers that are going to the outbreak regions. But
- 5:00Speaker 1: then the question also comes up, and this is why
- 5:03Speaker 1: I want it on your radar screen. Why are they
- 5:06Speaker 1: treating this in China very much the same way they
- 5:09Speaker 1: treated COVID And are they telling us the truth?
- 5:14Speaker 2: Now?
- 5:14Speaker 1: They're saying to minimize the risk of exposure, the CDC
- 5:18Speaker 1: advises the use of insect repellent, wearing long sleeved shirts
- 5:21Speaker 1: and long pants, staying in screened or air conditioned accommodation.
- 5:26Speaker 1: They also have a warning for pregnant travelers, especially near delivery.
- 5:30Speaker 1: They're encouraged now to quote reconsidered travel as infection neer
- 5:35Speaker 1: childbirth can pass to newborns. Vaccinations should be discussed with
- 5:39Speaker 1: the healthcare provider. The CDC is also saying, so this
- 5:42Speaker 1: is a story that I hope I don't have to
- 5:44Speaker 1: talk about again with you. But when you're dealing with
- 5:47Speaker 1: China and what they're doing right now, you have to
- 5:50Speaker 1: wonder what are they hiding.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Are you one of those.
- 5:54Speaker 1: That's just so tired of giving your money to radical
- 5:56Speaker 1: left woke companies that actually are fighting against you or
- 6:00Speaker 1: values every day?
- 6:01Speaker 2: Well, there are certain bills that you pay.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Every month that if you can go with a conservative company,
- 6:07Speaker 1: why not do it?
- 6:08Speaker 2: In fact, why not.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Go with a conservative company actually takes part of your
- 6:12Speaker 1: bill every month that you're going to pay to somebody,
- 6:15Speaker 1: and they give it back to organizations that support your
- 6:18Speaker 1: First and your Second Amendment rights, that support the rights
- 6:21Speaker 1: of unborn children, that stand with our military, are first responders,
- 6:27Speaker 1: and so many wounded warriors that need help. Well, that
- 6:31Speaker 1: bill I'm talking about is your cell phone bill. And
- 6:35Speaker 1: I've been telling you for a long time about Patriot Mobile.
- 6:37Speaker 1: But there's no better time to switch than right now.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Not only does Patriot Mobile operate on all three major
- 6:44Speaker 1: networks in this country, yeah, all three. That means you
- 6:47Speaker 1: get the same great coverage you're used to right now,
- 6:49Speaker 1: but you also make a difference with every call you
- 6:52Speaker 1: make and every text you make.
- 6:53Speaker 2: And why would you want to give your money a
- 6:55Speaker 2: big mobile?
- 6:56Speaker 1: Big Mobile has been giving big donations of democratic causes,
- 7:00Speaker 1: democratic candidates, and radical left organizations. I'm talking about organizations
- 7:05Speaker 1: that actually support abortion. That is why I want you
- 7:10Speaker 1: to switch right now to Patriot Mobile. Go ahead and
- 7:14Speaker 1: make the switch, And it's so easy. All you have
- 7:17Speaker 1: to do is simply call Patriot Mobiles one hundred percent
- 7:20Speaker 1: US based team from the comfort of your home or
- 7:23Speaker 1: your office and they'll have you activated in minutes. And
- 7:26Speaker 1: if you're still locked in a contract, not a problem.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Patriots Mobile contract buyout program covers up to five hundred
- 7:32Speaker 1: dollars per device. Keep your same number, keep your phone,
- 7:36Speaker 1: or upgrade do a new one. So back to my point,
- 7:39Speaker 1: what are you waiting for? Call Patriot Mobile today and
- 7:42Speaker 1: make a difference every single day with every call you make.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Patriot Mobile dot com slash ferguson. That's Patriot Mobile dot
- 7:51Speaker 1: com slash ferguson or nine to seven to two Patriot.
- 7:55Speaker 1: And if you use the promo code ferguson, you're gonna
- 7:57Speaker 1: get a free month of service on top of that.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Patriot Mobile dot com slash ferguson or nine to seven
- 8:03Speaker 1: to two Patriot. That's Patriotmobile dot com slash ferguson ninety
- 8:07Speaker 1: seven to two Patriot. I want to move on to
- 8:11Speaker 1: another major story, and it deals with what's happening in Texas.
- 8:15Speaker 1: The Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, has now filed a
- 8:18Speaker 1: lawsuit to start the removal for dereliction of duty derelict
- 8:24Speaker 1: Democrats and saying you're not showing up for work. You
- 8:28Speaker 1: fled the state to block redistricting bill, and now we're
- 8:31Speaker 1: going to hold you accountable for exactly that. Governor Abbott
- 8:35Speaker 1: filing the lawsuit Tuesday night with the Texas Supreme Court
- 8:38Speaker 1: seeking to begin the process for the removal of House
- 8:42Speaker 1: Democratic Caucus Chairman Wu and others. The chairman, along with
- 8:47Speaker 1: most of his Democrat House colleagues, fled the state to
- 8:50Speaker 1: block acorum in protests of the GOP's efforts to carry
- 8:55Speaker 1: out their duty of congressional seat redistricting. Today, I took
- 9:00Speaker 1: emergency action, the governor said, to begin the removal from
- 9:04Speaker 1: office of derelic Democrat Texas House members he refused to
- 9:09Speaker 1: show up for special session. Governor Abbot writing this, saying quote,
- 9:14Speaker 1: I filed the suit directly with the Texas Supreme Court
- 9:17Speaker 1: too quickly make clear the authority I have to bring
- 9:20Speaker 1: the lawsuit for removal of legislators from their office now.
- 9:25Speaker 1: On Sunday, Abbot ordered the House Democrats who fled the
- 9:28Speaker 1: state to break quorum to return to work or he
- 9:32Speaker 1: would take action to vacate their legislative seats and appoint replacements.
- 9:36Speaker 2: This truancy ends now.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Governor Abbot said in a Sunday night statement, the derelict
- 9:42Speaker 1: Democratic House members must return to Texas and be in
- 9:45Speaker 1: attendance when the House reconvenes at three pm on Monday,
- 9:49Speaker 1: August fourth. The governor said he will invoke the Texas
- 9:52Speaker 1: Attorney General opinion to remove the absent Democrats from their
- 9:56Speaker 1: elected office. The governor stated, quote in that opinion, the
- 10:00Speaker 1: Attorney General considered whether Texas law allows for a determination
- 10:05Speaker 1: that a legislator has vacated office if they intentionally break quorum.
- 10:12Speaker 1: The Attorney General concluded that whether a specific legislator abandoned
- 10:16Speaker 1: his or her office such that a vacancy occurred will
- 10:22Speaker 1: be a fact question for a court quote unquote. Sunday afternoon,
- 10:27Speaker 1: Texas House Democrats fled the state to Illinois to stop
- 10:31Speaker 1: the state legislature from moving forward on plans to redistrict
- 10:35Speaker 1: Texas congressional districts. Democratic Caucus Chairman wo a Democrat from Houston,
- 10:41Speaker 1: said the governor is using an intentionally racist map to
- 10:45Speaker 1: steal the voices of millions of black and Latino Texans,
- 10:48Speaker 1: all to execute a corrupt political deal. The derelict Texas
- 10:53Speaker 1: House members ignored the Governor's order and did not return
- 10:57Speaker 1: to the capitol insert. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed
- 11:02Speaker 1: a notice with the Texas Supreme Court in support of
- 11:05Speaker 1: the Governor's lawsuit, saying this Texas is taking every available
- 11:10Speaker 1: avenue to force runaway Democrats to return to Texas and
- 11:15Speaker 1: hold them accountable for breaking quorum. That's what the Attorney
- 11:19Speaker 1: General Ken Paxton said in the statement, saying, quote, under
- 11:22Speaker 1: the Texas Constitution, in Texas law, the Office of the
- 11:26Speaker 1: Attorney General has the legal authority to bring these cases
- 11:30Speaker 1: against the renegade House members. I have alerted the Texas
- 11:33Speaker 1: Supreme Court that I will be making additional filings on
- 11:37Speaker 1: Friday if the Democrats continued to abandon their legislative duties.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Abbott also wrote a letter to the Texas Supreme Court
- 11:46Speaker 1: about his action of filing directly with the state's top
- 11:49Speaker 1: course bypassing the district and appellate court system. The governor
- 11:53Speaker 1: side Section twenty two of the Texas Constitution and court
- 11:57Speaker 1: precedent for those actions, and that's where we go to.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Late Tuesday night, the Supreme Court requests a response from
- 12:05Speaker 1: the respondent chairman wu the Democrat no later than Friday,
- 12:09Speaker 1: August eighth, at five pm. The case number for the
- 12:13Speaker 1: emergency petition is twenty five dash zero six seven to four. Translation.
- 12:20Speaker 1: It's getting very real now for Democrats that there is
- 12:23Speaker 1: a chance if they do not come back.
- 12:25Speaker 2: To Texas, they can lose their jobs.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Texas Tribune reporter by the way, posting comments from Chairman
- 12:33Speaker 1: Wu in response to the governor's latest action to remove
- 12:36Speaker 1: him and fellow Democratic legislators, saying, quote, I took an
- 12:41Speaker 1: oath to the Constitution, not a politician's agenda. Denying the
- 12:45Speaker 1: governor at quorum was not an abandonment in my office.
- 12:48Speaker 1: It was a fulfillment of my oath. That is the
- 12:52Speaker 1: latest from the Democrats. He said, I took that oath
- 12:55Speaker 1: to the constitution, not the political agenda. And he's hoping
- 12:58Speaker 1: the American people will go along along with him. One person,
- 13:01Speaker 1: by the way, that definitely is going along with him,
- 13:04Speaker 1: is the governor of Illinois, trying to turn this into
- 13:07Speaker 1: his own political moment.
- 13:10Speaker 2: JB.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Pritzker firing back at Trump's threat to arrest run away
- 13:14Speaker 1: Texas Democrats, saying, bring it on. He's more than happy
- 13:19Speaker 1: to fight Donald Trump. And here's the governor in his
- 13:21Speaker 1: own words.
- 13:23Speaker 6: Is that, you know, our local law enforcement protect everybody
- 13:26Speaker 6: in Illinois. Our state troopers protect everybody in Illinois and
- 13:30Speaker 6: anybody who's here in Illinois. And so whether it's federal
- 13:35Speaker 6: agents coming to Illinois or state rangers from Texas, if
- 13:42Speaker 6: you haven't broken federal law, you're you know, you're basically unwelcome.
- 13:47Speaker 6: And there's no way that they can be that. Our
- 13:51Speaker 6: state legislators here, the Texas state legislators can be arrested.
- 13:55Speaker 1: So there's the governor of Illinois saying, Hey, I stand
- 13:59Speaker 1: up for I legal immigrant consider in my state and
- 14:01Speaker 1: protect them all the time. Why not go ahead and
- 14:04Speaker 1: protect some hardcore liberal Democrats from Texas as well. Now,
- 14:08Speaker 1: Governor of Texas, Craig Abbott, he has a very simple
- 14:11Speaker 1: response to JD. Pritzker and anybody else that's criticizing him.
- 14:16Speaker 1: He says, it's all about doing your job, and that's
- 14:19Speaker 1: what the Democrats have abandoned.
- 14:21Speaker 7: So the Democrats when they return, they're going to be
- 14:24Speaker 7: accountable for certain legal violations, but also for violations of
- 14:28Speaker 7: Texas House rules. And so it's going to be a
- 14:30Speaker 7: bad day for them. And the sooner they get back,
- 14:33Speaker 7: maybe the lesser the consequences. But the longer they stay,
- 14:37Speaker 7: the greater the consequences.
- 14:39Speaker 1: The greater the consequences. So now here we are at
- 14:43Speaker 1: the Texas Supreme Court, and there's a very good chance
- 14:46Speaker 1: that the governors got this one right and Democrats may
- 14:50Speaker 1: lose their jobs over all of this, refusing to come
- 14:53Speaker 1: back to the state that they said they were representing
- 14:56Speaker 1: and instead hanging.
- 14:58Speaker 2: Out in Chicago.
- 15:00Speaker 1: All right, Coming up, by the way, in just a moment,
- 15:01Speaker 1: I'm going to play for you a really cool conversation
- 15:04Speaker 1: I have with a dear friend of my Mark Levin,
- 15:06Speaker 1: the great One. He has got a new book out
- 15:09Speaker 1: called On Power, and I want you to hear what
- 15:11Speaker 1: he has to say about how Democrats have abused power
- 15:15Speaker 1: and just gone rogue in this country, trying to destroy
- 15:18Speaker 1: this country. Why this book is so important. We're going
- 15:21Speaker 1: to have that conversation for you coming up in just
- 15:23Speaker 1: a moment.
- 15:25Speaker 2: One of my.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Favorite personalities in the history of radio a man that
- 15:30Speaker 1: I describe is a mentor. He may not describe me
- 15:33Speaker 1: as someone he mentors, but I'm just going to throw
- 15:35Speaker 1: it out there anyway.
- 15:37Speaker 2: He has had an incredible impact on my career.
- 15:40Speaker 1: A sincere and genuine someone I look up to and
- 15:44Speaker 1: I'm so thankful to have people like this in the
- 15:47Speaker 1: radio community.
- 15:47Speaker 2: But also in this world is Mark Levin.
- 15:51Speaker 1: I've had the honor of filling in for him for
- 15:53Speaker 1: several years now, and he is a man that writes
- 15:55Speaker 1: books that when he writes them, you need to pause,
- 15:58Speaker 1: you need to buy him, and you need to read.
- 16:00Speaker 1: There's a reason why they're always a bestseller. And he's
- 16:02Speaker 1: got a new book out called On Power. It explores
- 16:06Speaker 1: the nature of power, its historical uses, good and bad,
- 16:09Speaker 1: the impact on liberty. Mark, thank you for coming on
- 16:13Speaker 1: and I'm excited about this book. I got an advanced
- 16:15Speaker 1: copy Reddit cover to cover, and I don't think the
- 16:19Speaker 1: timing of this book could have been any better, especially
- 16:22Speaker 1: coming after what we just saw with the Biden regime
- 16:25Speaker 1: and the auto pen and the abuse of power. It
- 16:28Speaker 1: can be used for good and bad, There's no doubt
- 16:30Speaker 1: about it.
- 16:32Speaker 8: First of all, thank you for that intro. You are
- 16:34Speaker 8: a terrific person and a great radio talent as well,
- 16:38Speaker 8: and I really appreciate it, brother, And it's always a
- 16:41Speaker 8: thrill to be back in your community, Memphis. Yeah. So
- 16:46Speaker 8: I wrote this book On Power, and I'll tell you
- 16:47Speaker 8: why ben because in addition to the point you raise,
- 16:51Speaker 8: which I definitely want to get into, I just started
- 16:53Speaker 8: the thinking, started thinking that I'm not sure we're addressing
- 16:58Speaker 8: this issue of tyranny in our liberty properly, because when
- 17:03Speaker 8: you really think about it, the Revolutionary War wasn't photover liberty.
- 17:07Speaker 8: This footover power in order to acquire or preserve liberty.
- 17:12Speaker 8: And I got to thinking, you know, liberty without rights
- 17:15Speaker 8: is non existent. Rights without powers non existent. So power
- 17:20Speaker 8: is the bottom line. And you bring up what they've
- 17:23Speaker 8: done to Trump, but they're trying to do to Trump,
- 17:25Speaker 8: the Obama Hillary scandal and others. It's all about power.
- 17:29Speaker 8: In fact, this whole battle over budgets, that's about power.
- 17:32Speaker 8: Open borders so they can swamp us with new congressional
- 17:36Speaker 8: districts for Democrats, same thing, trying to control the Supreme
- 17:40Speaker 8: Court and potentially pack it. It's the same thing you
- 17:44Speaker 8: see the Democrats, the Marxists, the islam As, they get it.
- 17:47Speaker 8: They're for power and they try to do everything they
- 17:50Speaker 8: can to acquire it. We are on defense. We're trying
- 17:53Speaker 8: to defend power versus power, that is divided power, separation
- 17:57Speaker 8: of power. We're trying to defend the art rigins of
- 18:00Speaker 8: our founding, which is really not about power. It's about God,
- 18:04Speaker 8: the sovereign, We the children of the sovereign, and on
- 18:08Speaker 8: earth where the sovereign, where the people as individuals and
- 18:11Speaker 8: as a society. And then we fuse that with the
- 18:14Speaker 8: enlightenment which we embrace, to apply that kind of sovereignty,
- 18:18Speaker 8: which is is Mondesquez said in others power versus power.
- 18:22Speaker 8: So we we don't explain this, we don't think it's
- 18:26Speaker 8: through in my humble opinion, and doing this all these
- 18:28Speaker 8: years to just throw out, you know, shibboleths or something
- 18:32Speaker 8: at a surface level, it isn't going to do it anymore.
- 18:37Speaker 8: So this is why I argue that we have got
- 18:39Speaker 8: to really understand we are for positive power, their negative power.
- 18:44Speaker 8: What does that mean? Their abuse and use of language?
- 18:48Speaker 8: What's the purpose thought control? And so for coercion, obedience, manipulation.
- 18:54Speaker 8: What do we really mean by liberty in the sense
- 18:57Speaker 8: of power, What do we really mean by rights? And
- 19:00Speaker 8: I feel with all these things going on the rise
- 19:02Speaker 8: of Marxism and Islamism, including in our own country a
- 19:06Speaker 8: far more aggressive Democrat party that is unmoored completely really
- 19:09Speaker 8: from our founding and our requirement as citizens now to
- 19:15Speaker 8: teach our children and grantchun than other people what it
- 19:18Speaker 8: is that we should stand for because we don't get
- 19:20Speaker 8: it in the schools. That's the point of the book.
- 19:22Speaker 1: You mentioned the schools there, and look, I'm getting older
- 19:25Speaker 1: now I say that, and I'm not joking.
- 19:28Speaker 2: I'm going to hit gosh, who is it forty four
- 19:29Speaker 2: in a couple of weeks.
- 19:31Speaker 1: I've got three sons, I know, right, I got twins
- 19:34Speaker 1: or six and a nine year old turned nine couple
- 19:36Speaker 1: days ago. And what terrifies me the most now is
- 19:40Speaker 1: the education that they're going to get from someone that
- 19:43Speaker 1: wants them to have the power over them, to make
- 19:47Speaker 1: them hate this country. You look at the report that
- 19:49Speaker 1: came out even last week, Mark, and it talked about
- 19:52Speaker 1: how the Chinese Communist Party has in essence completely infiltrated
- 19:56Speaker 1: our education system at the highest levels, including the ivy LEA,
- 20:00Speaker 1: buying access to the minds of our young people. That
- 20:03Speaker 1: is something that concerns me. I know, you don't have
- 20:07Speaker 1: to do this anymore. You can retire if you wanted to.
- 20:09Speaker 1: I know why you do it. You love this country.
- 20:11Speaker 1: It's why you write these books. But how concerned are
- 20:14Speaker 1: you about the abuse of power coming from other influencers
- 20:18Speaker 1: who are grabbing our kids' minds in the public schools
- 20:20Speaker 1: and also at our universities.
- 20:22Speaker 8: Very very And when you read the chapter on language,
- 20:26Speaker 8: the nature of the language that's used, what's allowed to
- 20:29Speaker 8: be said, not allowed to be said, new words, new
- 20:32Speaker 8: definition of words. This whole idea, wokeism and DEI and CRT,
- 20:37Speaker 8: it's all intended to destroy our connection with our founders
- 20:41Speaker 8: and the belief system that brought us to where we
- 20:44Speaker 8: are today. And that's why I write these books so
- 20:47Speaker 8: people have relatively easy access to the information, the tools,
- 20:51Speaker 8: the arguments, because we have to go around the teachers' unions,
- 20:54Speaker 8: we've got to go around the college faculty, we've got
- 20:56Speaker 8: to go around the media. We've got to inform ourselves
- 20:59Speaker 8: and educate ourselves. And we as parents and grandparents, we
- 21:02Speaker 8: have an obligation. And sometimes you'll succeed and sometimes you'll fail.
- 21:07Speaker 8: To try and pass this on to our kids and
- 21:10Speaker 8: our grandkids because they're not getting it from these institutions. Now,
- 21:14Speaker 8: I'm all for school choice. I think what the President
- 21:17Speaker 8: Trump's doing with these colleges and universities is absolutely fantastic.
- 21:23Speaker 8: And those that's a battle that's fought say over here,
- 21:26Speaker 8: but the battle that's fought in our private lives needs
- 21:30Speaker 8: to be a different kind of battle. And I mean,
- 21:33Speaker 8: I hear young people going on about this, Montdamie, why
- 21:36Speaker 8: don't we try socialism? What's the problem? What's the you know,
- 21:39Speaker 8: what's the Because they haven't been told anything, they haven't
- 21:43Speaker 8: experienced anything, they haven't lived in a certain circumstances that
- 21:46Speaker 8: tell them what's wrong with it. So we have to
- 21:49Speaker 8: do that. And that's what I'm trying to adjust here,
- 21:52Speaker 8: not just for young people, but for all people among ourselves,
- 21:56Speaker 8: and in terms of projecting it to other people, we've
- 21:59Speaker 8: got to get down to the crux of the matter.
- 22:01Speaker 8: If somebody says I can't afford food, and we respond
- 22:03Speaker 8: with liberty, it goes in one ear and out the
- 22:05Speaker 8: other ear. If somebody says, look this guy Mandami's we're
- 22:09Speaker 8: gonna have public grocery stores, and I said, well, that's great.
- 22:13Speaker 8: So now he'll have the power to decide whether you
- 22:14Speaker 8: eat or you don't eat. And he'll have the power
- 22:17Speaker 8: to decide what you do eat and what you don't eat.
- 22:19Speaker 8: Is that okay with you? Or whether your shelves are
- 22:22Speaker 8: filled or they're not filled. So there are ways to engage.
- 22:26Speaker 8: And I think when you get down to the core
- 22:28Speaker 8: of it, it is about the distribution of power, a
- 22:32Speaker 8: positive distribution or a negative distribution of power.
- 22:35Speaker 1: All Right, I want to take a moment talk about
- 22:37Speaker 1: the economy. You've been seeing what's happening on Wall Street,

- 22:42Speaker 1: probably seen gold prices hitting all time record highs. Why

- 24:49Speaker 1: nine hundred. Kurt Elliott Precious Metals Smarter Metal Investing starts
- 24:53Speaker 1: with them. You mentioned power and one of the things
- 24:57Speaker 1: that I think is very scary about where we are
- 24:59Speaker 1: in twenty twenty five.
- 25:01Speaker 2: Is going back to the point you made a second ago.
- 25:03Speaker 1: How easily people are willing to just give up their
- 25:06Speaker 1: own power and say, here, government make all the decisions
- 25:10Speaker 1: for me. Did we get to this point because we
- 25:13Speaker 1: become lazy as society or is it because of indoctrination
- 25:16Speaker 1: in society or a little bit of both. And also
- 25:20Speaker 1: there's now a new culture. Let's be clear, that is
- 25:22Speaker 1: hate America. America is evil, America is bad. So therefore
- 25:26Speaker 1: communism or socialism or Marxism must be tried.
- 25:30Speaker 8: I think these are two points and they're very good.
- 25:32Speaker 8: I think that first point, you know, De Togfa kind
- 25:35Speaker 8: of talked about it, when government gets involved in all
- 25:38Speaker 8: things small and large, you're creating a different kind of people,
- 25:42Speaker 8: a different kind of mentality, and you are kind of
- 25:45Speaker 8: reverse engineering human nature. Whereas you know you want free will,
- 25:49Speaker 8: certain things motivate you and so forth. It wears you down,
- 25:53Speaker 8: It gets you used to subsidies, it gets you used
- 25:55Speaker 8: to being pounded on about what's wrong with you, what's
- 25:58Speaker 8: wrong with your ancestry, what's wrong with your race, that
- 26:02Speaker 8: sort of thing. I think the second point you raise
- 26:05Speaker 8: is it's a very nefarious problem, which is the poisonous
- 26:10Speaker 8: leakage into our system of these ideologies that have as
- 26:14Speaker 8: their purpose not to compete, but to destroy not even
- 26:17Speaker 8: the government, the society and to destroy the culture. And
- 26:21Speaker 8: this is what people need to understand. We are trying
- 26:24Speaker 8: to defend limited government, which is very important. They're destroying
- 26:28Speaker 8: everything that undergirds it, the civil society which comes before government,
- 26:33Speaker 8: and they're trying to grab control of it. So they're
- 26:37Speaker 8: about centralization of power, the imposition of their ideology. They're
- 26:41Speaker 8: about brainwashing, fear mongering, while they promise redistribution, while they
- 26:48Speaker 8: promise more liberty, while they you know, it's like the
- 26:50Speaker 8: People's Republic of China. I think they're about the people
- 26:54Speaker 8: or a republic. They'll take the word democracy, democratic socialism.
- 26:59Speaker 8: Those two words are oxymorony. They don't work together. Socialism
- 27:03Speaker 8: about the government controlling the means of production and the
- 27:05Speaker 8: distribution of resources and material and wealth. That has nothing
- 27:09Speaker 8: to do with democracy in any way. We've got to
- 27:12Speaker 8: challenge this, We've got to break it down and say,
- 27:14Speaker 8: excuse me, we're the ones who believe in participatory democracy, republicanism.
- 27:20Speaker 8: We're the ones who believe in the free voluntary commercial
- 27:25Speaker 8: activity among people. And then we need to explain what
- 27:29Speaker 8: that creates. What that creates is a massive middle class
- 27:33Speaker 8: like no other society ever on the planet has experienced,
- 27:36Speaker 8: where we live better than any king or queen one
- 27:39Speaker 8: hundred and fifty years ago. We have more access to
- 27:42Speaker 8: more kinds of food. We switch a we hit a switch,
- 27:45Speaker 8: the lights come on, we turn a foscet on. We
- 27:47Speaker 8: get clean cold water, clean hot water. You have bathrooms
- 27:51Speaker 8: in your home, You have mobility in cars. You go
- 27:54Speaker 8: on a plane forty thousand feet in the air. You
- 27:57Speaker 8: may not like the peanuts you're getting, but think about
- 28:00Speaker 8: what's actually happening. You compare this. This is a result
- 28:04Speaker 8: of America. This is the result of a society where
- 28:08Speaker 8: power is distributed properly and where the individual, the individual
- 28:12Speaker 8: is the sovereign and the people are the sovereign. Conversely,
- 28:16Speaker 8: seventy percent of the world lives in tyranny and poverty.
- 28:19Speaker 8: And what do they have. Are they flourishing republics or democracies.
- 28:24Speaker 8: Do they believe in consensual government or participatory Of course not.
- 28:28Speaker 8: And so you have to compare something with something, not
- 28:33Speaker 8: something with their ideology.
- 28:35Speaker 1: When you wrote this book and It's a book that
- 28:37Speaker 1: I would encourage you to grab by the way. If
- 28:39Speaker 1: you haven't read other books by Mark Levin, you should
- 28:42Speaker 1: grab them. They're incredible. This new one on power, exploring
- 28:46Speaker 1: the nature of power. It's historical use is its impact
- 28:49Speaker 1: on liberty and really democracy and authoritarianism and disguised as representation,
- 28:55Speaker 1: especially what we're witnessing in New York City with this
- 28:58Speaker 1: mayor candid there. When you were writing this book, were
- 29:01Speaker 1: you writing it for a specific person, were you writing
- 29:04Speaker 1: it for young and all?
- 29:05Speaker 2: What was your mindset when you were writing it?
- 29:08Speaker 8: First of all, I wanted to write it differently, in
- 29:10Speaker 8: a way where I could take some complicated subjects and
- 29:13Speaker 8: make them very digestible, understandable, actually find and enjoyable to read,
- 29:19Speaker 8: and yet challenge people's thinking or somebody might say, oh, yeah,
- 29:24Speaker 8: I thought about that. I never really developed my thoughts
- 29:28Speaker 8: on it though, and that sort of thing, and yeah,
- 29:31Speaker 8: that's a different way of putting this, and it's an
- 29:33Speaker 8: important way of putting it. So my view is this
- 29:36Speaker 8: book is written for anybody, particularly people who are trying
- 29:41Speaker 8: to figure out the swirl of Marxism and Islamism in
- 29:44Speaker 8: our country. Why it's starting to take hold, how we
- 29:48Speaker 8: confront it, how we address it. But also, as one
- 29:51Speaker 8: fellow told me, he's going to give it to his
- 29:53Speaker 8: kid who's going into college, so they have something to
- 29:56Speaker 8: counter what all these professors are going to tell them.
- 30:00Speaker 8: And you'll also notice, Bend that the book is more
- 30:02Speaker 8: compact than most of my books. It's two hundred and
- 30:04Speaker 8: eight pages long. And again I wanted to make it
- 30:08Speaker 8: accessible to anybody and everybody. And so this book on power,
- 30:13Speaker 8: it cuts to the chase and it explains that in fact,
- 30:17Speaker 8: when you go to the ancients or more modern history
- 30:20Speaker 8: or today, is a constant struggle over who exercises power,
- 30:26Speaker 8: how power is exercised, whether power is going to be
- 30:29Speaker 8: exercised by you or over you. And the term that
- 30:36Speaker 8: I use now to describe the Democrats and these Marxists
- 30:39Speaker 8: and Islamis is authoritarian democrats. In other words, if they'll
- 30:44Speaker 8: go through the voting process as long as they win,
- 30:47Speaker 8: but if they don't win, they'll try sabotage, you know,
- 30:50Speaker 8: a Trump or Republican that will use the unelected bodies,
- 30:54Speaker 8: the bureaucracy. Mostly they created these lower court federal judges
- 30:58Speaker 8: that aren't in the constitution to counter or to usurp
- 31:02Speaker 8: the electorate. They don't really care about the electriate except
- 31:05Speaker 8: if it gives them power. They don't really care about
- 31:08Speaker 8: the well being of the average person unless they can
- 31:10Speaker 8: persuade them to support them. And we know this because
- 31:13Speaker 8: Marxism has only killed one hundred million people. You know
- 31:16Speaker 8: that's pretty bad. And Islamism today hasn't gone through the
- 31:21Speaker 8: Reformation or the Enlightenment. It is stuck in the seventh century.
- 31:24Speaker 8: It's primitive, and our nation was founded on Judeo Christian values.
- 31:29Speaker 8: And the bottom line is is Marxism or what I
- 31:34Speaker 8: call American Marxism, and Islamism are absolutely incompatible with Americanism.
- 31:40Speaker 8: And that's what the other side is peddling, and this
- 31:42Speaker 8: is what we need to confront.
- 31:45Speaker 2: Grab it.
- 31:45Speaker 1: Mark Levin's new book On Power explores the nature of power,
- 31:49Speaker 1: its historical uses, and the impact on the libertary liberty.
- 31:52Speaker 2: It's literally entitled on Power.
- 31:54Speaker 1: Get it wherever you get your books Amazon, Grab it
- 31:57Speaker 1: for your kids, your grandkids, your family, your It is
- 32:01Speaker 1: a master read.
- 32:02Speaker 2: I've read it. It's phenomenal. Mark. I appreciate your time.
- 32:05Speaker 1: I also mean this sincerely, thank you for being such
- 32:08Speaker 1: a good friend to me over the years, give me
- 32:10Speaker 1: advice in my career, and just vowing me to fill
- 32:13Speaker 1: in for you and your show has meant the world
- 32:15Speaker 1: to me. I appreciate it. You've been such a good
- 32:18Speaker 1: man to me and my family and I mean that sincerely.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Thank you so much for being a part of my
- 32:23Speaker 1: life as well well.
- 32:23Speaker 8: First of all, if you weren't a great person and
- 32:25Speaker 8: didn't do great things, I wouldn't have done it. But
- 32:29Speaker 8: you are a great person and you deserve as much
- 32:31Speaker 8: attention by as many people as possible. So does absolutely
- 32:34Speaker 8: my pleasure and honor you. Take care of yourself. God
- 32:37Speaker 8: bless you, my.
- 32:38Speaker 2: Friend, see you soon. Grab his book on power markle
- 32:41Speaker 2: then it's out now.
