- 0:19Speaker 1: me true good to bet hort listening to me to
- 0:26Speaker 1: each other for study. Why don't you join yeah by
- 0:50Speaker 1: join me in doing me? Honey, say do you turn out? Yea?
- 1:24Speaker 1: You gotta turn to turn the turn love. He got
- 1:44Speaker 1: to turn out to turn the water the wanter go, comey,
- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your back. Uh huh, I shall will a
- 2:04Speaker 1: good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on now,
- 2:09Speaker 1: DIGNI if you will, one and only Steve Harvey got
- 2:13Speaker 1: radio show. Okay, sure, be honest with y'all, was rushing,
- 2:20Speaker 1: rushing this morning. So but that's what it takes. Sometimes.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Sometimes you have to put forth a different kind of effort,
- 2:32Speaker 1: you know. One of the things about being successful. And
- 2:37Speaker 1: I was sharing this just the other day with a
- 2:40Speaker 1: young man and he asked me. He said, hey, man,
- 2:46Speaker 1: I just don't see how you get up that early
- 2:50Speaker 1: in the morning. I just don't see how man, it
- 2:53Speaker 1: would it would kill me to get up this early
- 2:55Speaker 1: in the morning. Well, I sat down and I'm listening
- 2:58Speaker 1: to it because it's just a thousand times I've heard it,
- 3:01Speaker 1: you know, and my life is, you know, not too
- 3:04Speaker 1: different from a lot of people's lives. There's a lot
- 3:07Speaker 1: of people out there that rise early. And I guess
- 3:10Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know what he wanted from me,
- 3:12Speaker 1: or how he wanted me to take what he said.
- 3:14Speaker 1: But I just sat there, you know, just indifferent to
- 3:17Speaker 1: the tones because I've heard it so many times. I
- 3:18Speaker 1: don't know how you get up that early anymore. I
- 3:20Speaker 1: don't know how you do all them jobs. And I
- 3:23Speaker 1: just sit there, man, because I remember, first of all,
- 3:26Speaker 1: I'm grateful to be able to have a job. I'm
- 3:28Speaker 1: so grateful to be able to do one and several
- 3:31Speaker 1: that I happened to enjoy doing. I mean, you know,
- 3:33Speaker 1: it's work, and it's difficult at times, but it's I mean,
- 3:37Speaker 1: you know I wanted this. You know, you gotta you know,
- 3:40Speaker 1: you can't ask God for then he give it to you.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Didn't be mad that you got it. Don't make no sense.
- 3:45Speaker 1: You know you're asking for something, me give it to you.
- 3:48Speaker 1: The problem with asking God for stuff is a lot
- 3:51Speaker 1: of times we're asking for stuff we don't really know
- 3:53Speaker 1: what all it encompasses, what all it really is. And
- 3:55Speaker 1: I asked for this. Now along the way I've gotten
- 3:59Speaker 1: far more than I asked for. I want you to do.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Understand that, and um, you know that's that's his grace
- 4:06Speaker 1: at work in my life. But I get up early
- 4:08Speaker 1: and I go to work because I do understand something
- 4:12Speaker 1: that it is not walking up to you. Nobody walks
- 4:15Speaker 1: up to people normally and just hand them checks all
- 4:19Speaker 1: the time, and enough checks to sustain your life, and
- 4:22Speaker 1: not only sustain it, but to have a life that
- 4:25Speaker 1: where you could enjoy and do some of the things
- 4:27Speaker 1: you want to do. That's I don't know the person
- 4:30Speaker 1: that walks out hands out that money just to be
- 4:33Speaker 1: doing it. And then with a lifestyle though, where you
- 4:36Speaker 1: can you know, give your kids a Christmas, you know,
- 4:39Speaker 1: take your family on vacation, you know, a year once
- 4:42Speaker 1: a year. I don't know, nobody passed out to kind
- 4:44Speaker 1: of money. So I get up early in the morning.
- 4:46Speaker 1: I get at it. I was taught to get up
- 4:49Speaker 1: early in the morning by my father because my father says,
- 4:54Speaker 1: ain't none gonna come to you. Why are you laying now?
- 4:57Speaker 1: And you know what, It's just true, man, it's just
- 5:00Speaker 1: a little common sense. Look, old people smart man, they've
- 5:03Speaker 1: been around long time. You don't get You know, some
- 5:05Speaker 1: old fools out there, but you know you don't have
- 5:07Speaker 1: to deal with them. But the old people are pretty
- 5:09Speaker 1: smart man. They've learned a lot along the way. And
- 5:12Speaker 1: waking up early and getting out of it is one
- 5:13Speaker 1: of them things. And I ask everybody man to think
- 5:16Speaker 1: about this scenario of your life. I just want you
- 5:18Speaker 1: to just I want to show you some numbers. If
- 5:21Speaker 1: a day has twenty four hours in it, and let's
- 5:25Speaker 1: just say you choose to sleep eight of those hours
- 5:29Speaker 1: because they tell you you need eight hours sleep, so
- 5:33Speaker 1: you sleep eight hours, that's a third of your life asleep. Already,
- 5:38Speaker 1: just a third of your life is spent asleep. If
- 5:42Speaker 1: you're gonna do eight hours a day, you understand that
- 5:45Speaker 1: a third of your life is spent asleep. Now, let's
- 5:49Speaker 1: say you have a job that you work eight hours
- 5:52Speaker 1: and it's not the job of your dreams. It's not
- 5:54Speaker 1: your dream career, your dream profession. It's just the one
- 5:58Speaker 1: you took, like all of us, to get it started.
- 6:01Speaker 1: And then, like all of us, some of us end
- 6:03Speaker 1: up having to stay there because we've created these bills,
- 6:05Speaker 1: and we can't because we check the check. So we
- 6:07Speaker 1: can't leave it because we'll lose what what we've worked for.
- 6:12Speaker 1: So let's just say you got a job that you
- 6:13Speaker 1: go to work too for eight hours. That's another third
- 6:18Speaker 1: of your life. That's two thirds of your life spent
- 6:23Speaker 1: doing something. M How do I put this to you? Oh,
- 6:31Speaker 1: let's all right, like Steve, just leave it that that's
- 6:33Speaker 1: two thirds of your life. Feel how you want to
- 6:35Speaker 1: feel about your two thirds when I like sleep? Okay, cool,
- 6:38Speaker 1: that's a scripture about that too. But now you spent
- 6:41Speaker 1: two thirds of your life one on a job you
- 6:43Speaker 1: don't care for if you're not happy there, or one
- 6:45Speaker 1: that just pays the bills and it's not your dream
- 6:48Speaker 1: job of career. Another third of your life is sleep.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Oh now, let's hold on. Let's talk about the one
- 6:52Speaker 1: hour of preparation that it may take to get to
- 6:56Speaker 1: the job. Let's just say you wake up, you know,
- 6:59Speaker 1: brush your teeth, shower, will have a little breakfast, get dressed.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Let's just say that's an hour. So now we're talking
- 7:06Speaker 1: sixteen hours, eight hours sleep, eight hours on your job.
- 7:09Speaker 1: That's sixteen hours you got already time one hour. That's
- 7:14Speaker 1: seventeen hours. Let's say your drive time, let's say getting
- 7:17Speaker 1: to your job, for the average person, is anywhere between
- 7:21Speaker 1: thirty two an hour. That's an average of what it
- 7:24Speaker 1: takes the average person. Now some people out there hustling
- 7:26Speaker 1: the way harder than that, but let's just say your
- 7:29Speaker 1: average is an hour getting to work. You had another
- 7:32Speaker 1: hour to that going to work. You've now spent eighteen
- 7:37Speaker 1: hours out of the twenty four doing something that's either nonproductive,
- 7:45Speaker 1: you're not happy with, you're not pleased about. It is
- 7:47Speaker 1: not your dream job, it's not your dream profession, and
- 7:50Speaker 1: the rest of the time you sleep. Eighteen hours that's
- 7:54Speaker 1: going to work. Now you gotta come from the job,
- 7:56Speaker 1: so let's just say it's another hour to get back home.
- 7:58Speaker 1: That's nineteen hours, n teen hours out of a twenty
- 8:01Speaker 1: four hour day. A third of it you've been asleep.
- 8:03Speaker 1: A third of it you've been on the job that
- 8:05Speaker 1: you're not happy with. You took an hour to get
- 8:07Speaker 1: ready to go to the job that you're not happy with.
- 8:09Speaker 1: That you've just been a third of your life sleeping
- 8:11Speaker 1: to get ready for You spend an hour getting there,
- 8:13Speaker 1: and you spend an hour getting back that's nineteen hours
- 8:16Speaker 1: out of twenty four hours. You now have five hours
- 8:18Speaker 1: left in your day. Oh, you watch TV two times,
- 8:23Speaker 1: two hours a day. Okay, excuse me. Let's put now
- 8:25Speaker 1: you put two hours of TV on that you've just
- 8:28Speaker 1: been twenty one. You now have three hours in the
- 8:32Speaker 1: day to do something super productive for the development of
- 8:37Speaker 1: yourself and the future of your family, and your future
- 8:40Speaker 1: as a person and what you can provide for your family. Oh,
- 8:47Speaker 1: I need to chill, I need to smoke one. Oh
- 8:51Speaker 1: I needed some time and happy How seemed like all
- 8:54Speaker 1: I do is dry to work and go to work.
- 8:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna go out with the fellas drink one. Okay,
- 9:02Speaker 1: Let's say you spend two hours at happy I nobody
- 9:04Speaker 1: go to a happy hour just for a hour. Let's
- 9:06Speaker 1: say he's been two hours at happy Hour, all smoking,
- 9:09Speaker 1: awesome video games and throw that in there. Two hours
- 9:12Speaker 1: of smoking, chilling, reading the paper, video games. That's twenty
- 9:16Speaker 1: three hours of your day going. Don't you see how
- 9:18Speaker 1: your day slips away from you? So why would you
- 9:22Speaker 1: get up early? You get up early to get a jump,
- 9:26Speaker 1: You get up early to produce, to plan, to become productive.
- 9:31Speaker 1: You get up early in the morning to care about
- 9:34Speaker 1: every single minute of your day. You wake up early
- 9:37Speaker 1: in the morning because you have a plan, a mission,
- 9:41Speaker 1: You have something you want to accomplish, So you wake
- 9:43Speaker 1: up early and you got as. The earlier you get up,
- 9:46Speaker 1: the more time you have just for you to devote
- 9:48Speaker 1: to your plan. You map it out, you make some sense,
- 9:52Speaker 1: some emails, you do some Google searches, whatever it is
- 9:56Speaker 1: you need to do to get your dream under way.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Then you go get ready, Then you get in your
- 10:02Speaker 1: car and go to work. Then you go to your job.
- 10:04Speaker 1: But on your job, instead of sitting at your lunch
- 10:06Speaker 1: break messing around with a bunch of people laughing and
- 10:09Speaker 1: talking about nothing, playing dominoes, why don't you take that
- 10:12Speaker 1: hour to do some more research, to do some more
- 10:15Speaker 1: Google it, to send out some more emails, to put
- 10:18Speaker 1: some feelers out there, to see what can get you
- 10:21Speaker 1: in the place that you want to be. Then when
- 10:23Speaker 1: you get off, instead of driving straight home, why don't
- 10:27Speaker 1: you go somewhere in a meeting, you know, take in
- 10:29Speaker 1: a session with some people in a positive mental state.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Some people are doing you know, self help groups. So
- 10:34Speaker 1: a group of people that get together in network for business,
- 10:37Speaker 1: not drink at happy hour. I said network for business,
- 10:41Speaker 1: then you take care of that time. So after you've
- 10:43Speaker 1: done that eight that you don't really care for on
- 10:45Speaker 1: the job, you spend some more time pursuing, looking into researching,
- 10:50Speaker 1: working towards sending out some more applications, putting in some
- 10:55Speaker 1: more time to build your new app discussing some more
- 10:58Speaker 1: networking ideas, try to meet some new more some more
- 11:01Speaker 1: new people, putting in some more phone calls. Okay, that's
- 11:04Speaker 1: your happy hour. Then when you go home, instead of chilling,
- 11:07Speaker 1: drinking one, having a cold, one, smoking one, playing a
- 11:11Speaker 1: video game, why don't you take that two hours and
- 11:14Speaker 1: devote that to that business idea. You got to that
- 11:18Speaker 1: family that you talk about, You really want spend some
- 11:20Speaker 1: time with your children, put something into them. Do something. Man,
- 11:25Speaker 1: with all these precious hours that God gives all of
- 11:28Speaker 1: us in the course of a day, take advantage of
- 11:31Speaker 1: every minute of that. No human being has more than
- 11:34Speaker 1: twenty four hours a day, including myself. But if you
- 11:39Speaker 1: care about every single minute of that day, you be
- 11:43Speaker 1: amazed at how much you could get accomplished in a
- 11:45Speaker 1: twenty four hour day. But you can't get none of
- 11:48Speaker 1: that happening because you sleep and you're chilling and you smoking,
- 11:55Speaker 1: and you're good at mad and football and war lords. Okay,
- 12:00Speaker 1: what has that done for you? Your family or your future?
- 12:04Speaker 1: Care about every minute of your day? You're listening Steve
- 12:09Speaker 1: Harvey Morning. Eighteen minutes after that, I welcome to the ride, y'all,
- 12:16Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Okay, here's a deal, morningning. You know,
- 12:24Speaker 1: act like you're glad to be up? What what we're
- 12:27Speaker 1: gonna wake him up? This? So happy are you doing?
- 12:34Speaker 1: I'm feeling some kind of way again this morning? All right,
- 12:38Speaker 1: here's a deal. I need some Stevie Wonder rocket love.
- 12:45Speaker 1: You took me right in on your rocking. You gave
- 12:48Speaker 1: me a stock yeah happing mapa happing. You dropped me
- 12:52Speaker 1: back down to this con me double is a double Steven.
- 13:03Speaker 1: I'm gonna hear that and then m hmm. I want
- 13:08Speaker 1: to come out of that, and then I want to heal.
- 13:13Speaker 1: I know I bought it on myself. I owe no blame,
- 13:18Speaker 1: no one else. And now I realized I can't get
- 13:24Speaker 1: over you, the tress of Jacko. That's who you can't
- 13:31Speaker 1: get on Jackson. Yeah, I'll get over that. I ain't
- 13:37Speaker 1: gonna be a to say her name right over that
- 13:40Speaker 1: I get right on pass. We broke up. That's good, man,
- 13:57Speaker 1: while it real hard told you say so you're done?
- 14:03Speaker 1: Daddy stupid. He can't get a trust on Jacko Jack
- 14:14Speaker 1: so fat. Alright, let's go give me them James, I'll
- 14:18Speaker 1: have good. Let's go. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Alright,
- 14:51Speaker 1: we're back thirty four minutes after the our thirty four
- 14:53Speaker 1: minutes after that hour, we're back. All right, Now that's good.
- 14:56Speaker 1: I feel better, Yeah, I feel bad. That's good. Yeah.
- 15:01Speaker 1: So coming up next is thirty something Funny. Junior got something?
- 15:07Speaker 1: What Junior is gonna do something today on thirty something Funny?
- 15:11Speaker 1: And Junior it better be funny. We have some questions, right,
- 15:17Speaker 1: I have some questions. You got some questions? Okay, I
- 15:21Speaker 1: can just say, but I ain't in the move for
- 15:23Speaker 1: the day. Is nobody to do what they don't do
- 15:25Speaker 1: what they say they're gonna do. Like I ain't talking
- 15:33Speaker 1: to y'all. I know I'm naked. That's the point. Ah. Okay, Now,
- 15:44Speaker 1: now when I get on in the calm and call
- 15:46Speaker 1: him to the bathroom, act like they're on here, would
- 15:50Speaker 1: you doing that twice? All right? Let's go to Junior.
- 15:55Speaker 1: He's got some questions for us. All right, Junior, what
- 15:58Speaker 1: you got? Um? You know what everybody everybody see the
- 16:01Speaker 1: speech the president game? Yeah yeah, I just wanted to
- 16:06Speaker 1: know why did we have to start off the speech?
- 16:10Speaker 1: Was you commendating the Black History Month? What we do? Yeah?
- 16:16Speaker 1: That wasn't like we're the first one up in the speech?
- 16:20Speaker 1: At don't tell did you know when to clap? I
- 16:24Speaker 1: didn't really know when to clap. The Republicans stood on everything.
- 16:29Speaker 1: The Democrats stood on some stuff and clap. Well that's
- 16:33Speaker 1: what they do anyway. Anything. Yeah, I know, but I don't.
- 16:39Speaker 1: I don't care for that, you know, you know, you know,
- 16:41Speaker 1: look they did it to Obama. I don't like it.
- 16:43Speaker 1: You know, Look, if we're gonna play the game, play
- 16:45Speaker 1: the game, you know, if you're gonna get in there
- 16:47Speaker 1: and you're gonna be respectful of the office, then be
- 16:49Speaker 1: respectful at off. I don't like that, man. It just
- 16:52Speaker 1: shows division. The Democrats who don't stand up and do
- 16:56Speaker 1: all that. They're representing the people who voted them into
- 16:59Speaker 1: the those positions, into Congress, things like that, So if
- 17:02Speaker 1: their constituents aren't happy with the president, they're not gonna
- 17:06Speaker 1: be up there standing. But they stood for quite they
- 17:11Speaker 1: stood on quite a few things that he said. But
- 17:14Speaker 1: then how do everybody decide we ain't standing right now?
- 17:19Speaker 1: And ain't nobody telling the black people on the front
- 17:21Speaker 1: row because they just were standing. I just want to know.
- 17:27Speaker 1: I didn't know that that's how we was gonna be U.
- 17:29Speaker 1: I had no idea. Well, Julie, you're not invited to that,
- 17:33Speaker 1: so I never will. But when am I supposed to clap,
- 17:38Speaker 1: you ain't got to clap at all. Just sit there
- 17:40Speaker 1: at your house. What was you clapping for? Yeah, I
- 17:45Speaker 1: was trying to because that was clapping. I'm trying to
- 17:47Speaker 1: unify the country from my living division. It was just like, hey,
- 17:54Speaker 1: you know, we don't know what we're doing. What are
- 17:57Speaker 1: we getting into? Well, I'm glad that you know it
- 18:00Speaker 1: for a starting to become tired of it because we've
- 18:02Speaker 1: been tired of it for a long time. Because I'm
- 18:06Speaker 1: finally at that point, you know, I watched how they
- 18:10Speaker 1: did uh Barack Obama, and now I'm watching this all
- 18:15Speaker 1: over again, and it's like it's like watching news. So finally,
- 18:18Speaker 1: was the first time I've ever heard CNN say anything
- 18:22Speaker 1: positive about Donald Trump because CNN Donald Trump can't do
- 18:26Speaker 1: nothing right. Fox, he can't do a damn thing wrong.
- 18:31Speaker 1: We got a band on the Muslims. Yeah, it's great.
- 18:35Speaker 1: You know, it's really not Muslims. You know, who is
- 18:38Speaker 1: it then? For damn because it's Muslim country. So I'm
- 18:44Speaker 1: conxcused me. Are the Irish affected by this? No? Anybody
- 18:52Speaker 1: from Poland? Nobody from Poland? Okay, all right, coming up,
- 18:59Speaker 1: and you finished on it's run that prank back. You
- 19:07Speaker 1: don't you don't have to clap to the presidential interests
- 19:10Speaker 1: in your house. Well, I was doing my part. I
- 19:13Speaker 1: was watching. I was watching the Speak of the House
- 19:15Speaker 1: and vice. When they clapped, I clap when they stood out,
- 19:19Speaker 1: they stood and clapped on everything was a Republican last night. Then, dog,
- 19:23Speaker 1: I just everybody and thedn't till they back the camera
- 19:26Speaker 1: and I saw all the other people sitting, I said,
- 19:28Speaker 1: well maybe I need to sit down on it was
- 19:30Speaker 1: blue tie night, blue and red tie night. I didn't
- 19:33Speaker 1: understand that. Does that have a meaning? Uh? Yeah, yeah,
- 19:40Speaker 1: the nation's what the colors. Colors are and and the
- 19:45Speaker 1: both parties. Yeah, all right, let's move on. Run that prankback.
- 19:49Speaker 1: It's coming up next. Let's do that. Let's do something stupid.
- 19:53Speaker 1: It's always time for that. You huh, I feel like
- 19:57Speaker 1: being stupid? How does that? Fish? This wind? Is that? Yeah?
- 20:01Speaker 1: How does that feel? You're listening show? All right, we're
- 20:09Speaker 1: back for the minutes after that. Tell me what you
- 20:11Speaker 1: got man, Len, we're running that prankback. It's called lin Yeah, okay,
- 20:24Speaker 1: well yeah Lynn. Hello, Hey, I'm trying to reach Dorsey. Yeah.
- 20:42Speaker 1: This was this cliff Man. I work at the post
- 20:46Speaker 1: office with your wife. How you doing, bro, I'm doing alright?
- 20:50Speaker 1: Everything cool? Yeah? Everything good man? Everything good? Um. Like
- 20:53Speaker 1: I said, my name is cliff Man. I wanted to
- 20:56Speaker 1: reach out and holet you about a couple of things
- 20:57Speaker 1: if you if you got a minute, you got a minute? Yeah?
- 21:00Speaker 1: Everything all right? With my wife? Is something wrong or something? No? No, no, no, no, no, no,
- 21:04Speaker 1: your wife good man, Your wife good. I wanted to
- 21:07Speaker 1: hit you up. Man. We've been working the post office
- 21:08Speaker 1: quite a while. We've probably been in the same room
- 21:11Speaker 1: a few times. Man. I don't know if you you
- 21:12Speaker 1: remember meeting me or not, but but what I wanted
- 21:16Speaker 1: to say, man, is trying to do better with my life.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Dog and you know, just just trying to do better,
- 21:21Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. So, you know, for for Lint, Man,
- 21:25Speaker 1: I gave up a few things, you know what I'm saying.
- 21:28Speaker 1: I just thought that would be a good thing, man,
- 21:30Speaker 1: to try to do the things that matter the most, uh,
- 21:33Speaker 1: that you addicted to, you know, you want to get
- 21:35Speaker 1: rid of. You know what I'm saying, at least for
- 21:36Speaker 1: Lent is what I trying to do. You feel me, Okay,
- 21:40Speaker 1: I'm kind of confused, but what they got to do
- 21:44Speaker 1: with me? Well, basically, man, I'm I'm giving up for LNT.
- 21:49Speaker 1: You know, I decided to give up uh, messing around
- 21:53Speaker 1: with your wife, you know because because hold on, man,
- 21:58Speaker 1: hold on, man, I'm at work. I don't know what
- 22:02Speaker 1: you're coming back, but back up and rephrase everything you
- 22:06Speaker 1: just said. Well, like I say, Man, for Lynn, I'm
- 22:09Speaker 1: trying to I'm trying to give up stuff that I'm
- 22:12Speaker 1: that I'm addicted to, you know. And I just what
- 22:14Speaker 1: they got to do with me and my wife though,
- 22:16Speaker 1: and you with That's what I'm trying to tell you, Man,
- 22:18Speaker 1: I'm trying to give up messing around with your wife
- 22:21Speaker 1: for Lynn. I mean, that's what I help giving up.
- 22:23Speaker 1: I've given up messing around with your wife for Lynn.
- 22:26Speaker 1: Man talking about man messing around with my wife? Man,

- 22:41Speaker 1: you know, her schedule probably gonna change because what we
- 22:44Speaker 1: used to be doing we ain't doing. So she's probably
- 22:46Speaker 1: gonna be coming home a little bit earlier, things like that.
- 22:48Speaker 1: But I don't I don't want you getting addicted to
- 22:50Speaker 1: it because you know, after Lynn is over, then you

- 23:11Speaker 1: I'm trying to say? Well, like I'm telling I'm trying
- 23:13Speaker 1: to do better. You know, I gave up trying to
- 23:15Speaker 1: do better. That sounds like a bunch of to me.
- 23:18Speaker 1: I got something for you and my wife. True Okay, okay, okay, man,
- 23:22Speaker 1: I mean, ain't you feeling me? Don't trying to do better? Though?

- 23:27Speaker 1: my wife. Fact, we need to meet up and talk
- 23:29Speaker 1: about this face to face. Cliff, what you think I mean?
- 23:32Speaker 1: We here, we talked right now. If you want to
- 23:34Speaker 1: have a conversation, No, no, no, you just tell me
- 23:37Speaker 1: your address and me and my wife's gonna just come
- 23:40Speaker 1: on over there. How about that? And we all said
- 23:43Speaker 1: I do and have a little power. I don't know
- 23:45Speaker 1: who thank you is, man, but me and my wife
- 23:47Speaker 1: been together over fifteen years and we never had no
- 23:51Speaker 1: problems with no like this, like the you're telling me

- 23:57Speaker 1: to me. But somebody nick gonna today true. So what
- 24:01Speaker 1: you need to do. You need to tell me your name,
- 24:04Speaker 1: your number. And I don't know why you called from
- 24:06Speaker 1: this block phone number. You hear me, man, I'm hearing you. Man,
- 24:11Speaker 1: what I'm saying, the reason for the call was to
- 24:13Speaker 1: let you know, you know, don't get used to her
- 24:15Speaker 1: schedule because after lett it's gonna be back to the
- 24:18Speaker 1: way it used to be. That's all the phone. What's

- 24:48Speaker 1: I don't know you, You don't know me, and you're
- 24:50Speaker 1: telling me you be my wife? Are you serious? Did
- 24:54Speaker 1: you know she was married? I mean what you mean?
- 24:57Speaker 1: Did you know I was married? Yes? Or not? I
- 25:00Speaker 1: mean yeah, I know? I mean yeah, knew she was married. Okay,
- 25:03Speaker 1: well it is you knew that from the jump. So
- 25:05Speaker 1: that means you've been disrespecting me from the jump. So

- 27:37Speaker 1: in the land? Man, Steve Harvey Morning. So I guess
- 27:43Speaker 1: did you like that? Yeah? You like that? I gave
- 27:49Speaker 1: up his wife for Lynn. Now after Lynn, I'll be
- 27:52Speaker 1: back at his wife. Wow. And you you know what,
- 27:55Speaker 1: me and you man, we can make a lot of
- 27:58Speaker 1: money to go because the people you got in your phone,
- 28:00Speaker 1: if I prank them, that's million boys. Let me prank
- 28:04Speaker 1: Hallet Bay. No, here's here's who you should Samuel L. Jackson,
- 28:11Speaker 1: We're not gonna be here to run, mate, that's who
- 28:17Speaker 1: you should. Frank who puts? You're listening to the Steve
- 28:24Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show? All right? Um? So, Gary from Chicago
- 28:32Speaker 1: remember him? He was the darling of the Academy Awards
- 28:35Speaker 1: Sunday night, after he and several other tourists unknowingly crashed
- 28:39Speaker 1: the ceremony in a prank uh set up by Jimmy Kimmel,
- 28:43Speaker 1: who was the host. Now we know that Gary, his
- 28:46Speaker 1: name is Gary Allan Co had just been out of
- 28:48Speaker 1: jail three days. Did you know that? Three days prior
- 28:52Speaker 1: to his moment in the spotlight, he had served twenty
- 28:55Speaker 1: years for petty theft. He had just been out of
- 28:57Speaker 1: jail for three years. If you watch the Academy Award, Yeah,
- 29:01Speaker 1: you know him. It's Gary from Chicago. He was one
- 29:03Speaker 1: of the tourists that um, like I said, unknowingly crashed
- 29:06Speaker 1: the ceremony and thanks to Jimmy Kimmel, Gary and his
- 29:08Speaker 1: fiancee were very adorable. I mean, you know, hey, he
- 29:13Speaker 1: did his time. Now he's living his life. You know,
- 29:16Speaker 1: three days out and three days out and he's already
- 29:19Speaker 1: at the Academy Awards and everyone knows who he is
- 29:22Speaker 1: is Gary from Chicago. Yeah, all right, I just want
- 29:28Speaker 1: to throw that. That's really really amazing though, it is it. Yeah,
- 29:34Speaker 1: he served twenty years and he had just gotten out
- 29:37Speaker 1: three days ago. I wonder he was so happy and
- 29:40Speaker 1: so chilled and had his phone out and everything taking pictures. Yeah,
- 29:49Speaker 1: it's amazing. What what what should be all cong congratulatory
- 29:55Speaker 1: Watch watch watch what they'll do. It's some demented people
- 29:58Speaker 1: out hire man social media, keep his head up. Take
- 30:02Speaker 1: that blessing. Going about your bid. All right, Steve introducing
- 30:06Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. She's here, the lovely, the talent to
- 30:10Speaker 1: do one in the only Miss Ain trip. Good morning morning, everybody.
- 30:17Speaker 1: This is answered for the news. There are calls for
- 30:19Speaker 1: US Attorney General Jeff's Sessions to be called to account
- 30:22Speaker 1: for the two meetings he supposedly had with Russian officials,
- 30:24Speaker 1: according to a report now on the Washington Post, meetings
- 30:27Speaker 1: the newspaper says he had while working as a surrogate
- 30:29Speaker 1: for Donald Trump's campaign. Now, during his confirmation hearing, the
- 30:32Speaker 1: Session said he never met with any Russian officials, and
- 30:35Speaker 1: now his colleagues South Carolina Republican Senator Lindsey Graham tells
- 30:38Speaker 1: CNN that there might just might be reason for a
- 30:40Speaker 1: closer look if there is something there and it goes
- 30:44Speaker 1: up the chain of investigation. It is clear to me
- 30:47Speaker 1: that Jeff's Sessions, who is my dear friend, cannot make
- 30:51Speaker 1: this decision about Trump. So they may be not. There
- 30:54Speaker 1: may be nothing there, But if there's something there that
- 30:57Speaker 1: the FBI believes is criminal and nature, then for sure
- 31:01Speaker 1: you need a special prosecutor. Session says the allegations false.
- 31:04Speaker 1: He says he met with many world leaders as a
- 31:06Speaker 1: member of the Senate Armed Services Committee. Seven Baltimore comps
- 31:09Speaker 1: accuses stealing money and property from people, pulling them over
- 31:12Speaker 1: traffic stops for no reason and taking thousands of dollars.
- 31:15Speaker 1: Also charged with claiming about a half a million dollars
- 31:17Speaker 1: in overtime they never worked. One of the officers accused
- 31:20Speaker 1: of being part of a heroin drug ring. This past
- 31:23Speaker 1: Sunday was the fifth anniversary of the murder of Trayvon
- 31:27Speaker 1: Martin by a near Dowell cop want to be named
- 31:29Speaker 1: George Zimmerman. His parents have released a book on their
- 31:32Speaker 1: youngest son and his entitled rest in Power, The Enduring
- 31:35Speaker 1: Life of Trayvon Martin. His father Tracy tells MSNBC why
- 31:38Speaker 1: they wrote it. He wanted people to see who we
- 31:41Speaker 1: were as as people, who tray Bon was as a
- 31:44Speaker 1: as a teenager. Uh And we don't feel as though
- 31:47Speaker 1: we got the chance to really show the world who
- 31:50Speaker 1: he truly was. It's called rest in Power. The accounting
- 31:54Speaker 1: firm Price Wardhouse says the two employees charged with giving
- 31:57Speaker 1: those nominee award envelopes that the oscars are not going
- 31:59Speaker 1: to be due in it next year. And today is
- 32:01Speaker 1: National Read Across America Day, National Banana Cream Pie Day,
- 32:05Speaker 1: and National give Me the Old Stuff Day. In other words, well,
- 32:08Speaker 1: I guess that's what they mean by good riddence the
- 32:11Speaker 1: band rubbish. I guess that's what they mean. Now back
- 32:13Speaker 1: to this, dear Fie Boarding show. All right, thank you,
- 32:16Speaker 1: miss Anne. As always, there's a new survey out guys
- 32:20Speaker 1: that finds that seventy of people believe their lives would
- 32:23Speaker 1: be better with more money. I mean, we've all said that, boy,
- 32:26Speaker 1: if we just had more money, if we had the
- 32:28Speaker 1: money to do this, so whatever, whatever, um, but that
- 32:31Speaker 1: doesn't necessarily mean it would make them happy. Okay. In fact,
- 32:36Speaker 1: only according to the survey of the people believe that
- 32:40Speaker 1: money brings meaning to their lives, and a whopping pent
- 32:45Speaker 1: say that people obsessed with money aren't really experiencing the
- 32:48Speaker 1: true meaning of life. So here's a question. Do you
- 32:52Speaker 1: believe your life would be better with more money? Aren't
- 32:58Speaker 1: you obsessed with money? No, not obsessed, obsessed, I'm obsessed
- 33:03Speaker 1: with No. Here's a queso. I like shoes. I mean,
- 33:14Speaker 1: of course, you know you have to have money to
- 33:16Speaker 1: get shoes. I mean I'm obsessed with him. I don't
- 33:18Speaker 1: get every pair that you know. I become obsessed with though.
- 33:22Speaker 1: So here's a question. Do you believe your life would
- 33:24Speaker 1: be better with more money or would you be happier
- 33:27Speaker 1: if you consumed less? So if you want more money, yeah,
- 33:34Speaker 1: you could be happier with more money. Is that your
- 33:36Speaker 1: belief or should you just cut back and and and
- 33:39Speaker 1: be happy? I can't cut no further bank on the back.
- 33:43Speaker 1: I'm back here. I can't get back no more. That's
- 33:50Speaker 1: what I'm back here. I need more money, all right,
- 34:01Speaker 1: So that's the question. Call us eight seven seven twenty nine,
- 34:04Speaker 1: Steve eight seven seven twenty nine. Steve, speaking of you, Steve,
- 34:08Speaker 1: Let's let's start with you. What cut back if you
- 34:15Speaker 1: if you had? I mean, would your life be better?
- 34:17Speaker 1: Of course we know the answer because you're rich. Um,
- 34:21Speaker 1: But do you think you could be happy if you
- 34:24Speaker 1: consumed a little less? Do you need everything? You know
- 34:27Speaker 1: that you of course you can buy it because you're rich. Yeah?
- 34:30Speaker 1: What I need everything? And won't some moment as you
- 34:40Speaker 1: continue and not fing to sit up here here and
- 34:44Speaker 1: feel bad or guilty back for some pole minded ask person, now,
- 34:48Speaker 1: I would to cut back? I ain't cutting back a
- 34:50Speaker 1: damn thing? What? What? What? What? What? I don't want
- 34:55Speaker 1: a nice car? Why? No? Man? I lived and cramped
- 35:00Speaker 1: quarters my whole life. I wanted to see what it
- 35:02Speaker 1: was like to get a big house. I got a
- 35:04Speaker 1: big I like big house. I like big hotel, big furniture.
- 35:10Speaker 1: I got a big life. Now, listen to me. If
- 35:12Speaker 1: you don't want that, that's open. But I'm that person
- 35:17Speaker 1: that won'ts more because I've learned something about money. Money
- 35:22Speaker 1: is a tool. It don't make you happy, but it
- 35:27Speaker 1: don't make me sad. Even poverty made me say, poverty
- 35:34Speaker 1: made me sad a lot. Couldn't get this, couldn't get that,
- 35:37Speaker 1: couldn't go here, couldn't go there. And it ain't nothing
- 35:39Speaker 1: wrong with Maybe maybe you don't won't go nowhere, Maybe
- 35:42Speaker 1: you don't want nothing. Then you can be cool with that.
- 35:44Speaker 1: It's just people are. People have their own way. I
- 35:48Speaker 1: enjoy it. What success does is very difficult. I wish
- 35:52Speaker 1: it wasn't as hard. I wish that's all the stuff
- 35:55Speaker 1: that comes with being successful didn't come with it. And
- 35:58Speaker 1: I'm on top of that, I'm famous, so I would
- 36:00Speaker 1: love for the stuff to come with fame not to
- 36:03Speaker 1: come with it. But the Bible tells you that to
- 36:05Speaker 1: who much has given, much is required. So as rough
- 36:08Speaker 1: as it is, all right? Well, coming up with his
- 36:12Speaker 1: butterfly blog, The Butterfly Waiting in the Wings, We'll be
- 36:16Speaker 1: right back. We'll be back at eighteen after the hour
- 36:18Speaker 1: you're listening, Steve Harvey Morning Show. Ladies and gentlemen coming
- 36:23Speaker 1: up next. Eugenie isn't gonna take a break, Ladies and Genmer.
- 36:26Speaker 1: We haven't heard from the men. While Oldmeal is in
- 36:30Speaker 1: the building, Oldmeal, you're coming up. Hi, Hey. Lukia was like, dude,
- 36:39Speaker 1: on the real you already no down you you might, dude,
- 36:44Speaker 1: but I let you know what we look little when
- 36:48Speaker 1: you meet with Trump, I live down there would Blackramell
- 36:54Speaker 1: who needed out with ain'ty doing that? Nah? They really
- 36:59Speaker 1: ad realized yo yo yo read baby, you'd been thinking,
- 37:07Speaker 1: you'd been thinking for people. Think you know what I
- 37:09Speaker 1: like about two dollars taking way for people? Thank you?
- 37:12Speaker 1: People be bedding it like it ben like about a
- 37:14Speaker 1: two weeks later, like d had a point, do what
- 37:19Speaker 1: you're doing. I ain't looking at what it's like to
- 37:25Speaker 1: do a minute that I hold at y'all shing uh
- 37:32Speaker 1: color fear, what's up? What's the good? Already already already
- 37:39Speaker 1: already already looking kid, Yeah yeah, if you tell me
- 37:50Speaker 1: what's up? What all right? Boy, I'll see your man
- 37:53Speaker 1: do your thing. You look at ipe out your toy, y'all.
- 37:58Speaker 1: Y'all was talking about get or leave it, get a lead,
- 38:03Speaker 1: giving up lems, but what you're what are you giving
- 38:06Speaker 1: up for? Lengths? I see that's what I said. I
- 38:08Speaker 1: what I see is I said, get a lead. I'm
- 38:12Speaker 1: going to get up my gold grill for had I
- 38:17Speaker 1: at what I give up my gold grill for? Did?
- 38:25Speaker 1: I ain't for Lita grill? And what's under there? By
- 38:33Speaker 1: the way, if you're giving a seriously, seriously, you ain't
- 38:36Speaker 1: gonna you ain't gonna get up one of my teeth.
- 38:38Speaker 1: That's that's rude right up? Would you even do get
- 38:42Speaker 1: up on my teeth and be rude with me? That's
- 38:45Speaker 1: like being naked right here now. I don't be talking.
- 38:50Speaker 1: I don't talk about the people cloud on the head.
- 38:52Speaker 1: I don't talk about my teeth. Okay, I'll get up
- 38:59Speaker 1: my let. I'm getting league, give a hug my taper.
- 39:04Speaker 1: Ah that I ain't. Yeah, well, you're still gonna perform
- 39:10Speaker 1: when you got dates and stuff, just without the teeth.
- 39:12Speaker 1: We're gonna do the shows. And now the tape is like,
- 39:15Speaker 1: really the signature who I'm somebo I'm looking at it.
- 39:19Speaker 1: Don't even worry about this old I don't know what
- 39:22Speaker 1: to call you kill Jo julior Man. Just go with
- 39:26Speaker 1: that already do you so is you? Is your dadda
- 39:31Speaker 1: save you? No? Mr? So it's so? So why is you? Jo?
- 39:38Speaker 1: Your did cook? Because Steve saying so the right deal
- 39:43Speaker 1: right there, dow dow letting him said ruse was something
- 39:47Speaker 1: that to be stupid like that that there was still
- 39:50Speaker 1: you just took the word Jill you did red with yeah,
- 39:53Speaker 1: because he gave me a job. Come with you want
- 39:56Speaker 1: if you're gonna pay since show? You know you know
- 40:01Speaker 1: your name? Yeah? Now you killed not not on this show.
- 40:07Speaker 1: I'm not kid. Don't make no money or Junior make
- 40:10Speaker 1: the money on this Jo. Now I go home to
- 40:13Speaker 1: my mama. I'm killing. But that's it your MoMA, Cale
- 40:17Speaker 1: you Junior, No, why would you're just Oh you're trying
- 40:25Speaker 1: to put some really really realization with your Hey, that's
- 40:29Speaker 1: how I don't trying to do that. Big words. I've
- 40:38Speaker 1: been using them, big words. Watch this her car and
- 40:41Speaker 1: until a patient's just a pain of one about biggest
- 40:50Speaker 1: world right, Hey, look at late your sire tonight. Ho
- 40:54Speaker 1: already you owe me a building, baby, don't have a
- 40:58Speaker 1: special gifts women already, but you ain't having a real
- 41:02Speaker 1: don't you got your name though? Don't know where you're
- 41:08Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, here we go.
- 41:15Speaker 1: Do you believe your life would be better with more
- 41:17Speaker 1: money or would you be happier if you just consumed less?
- 41:21Speaker 1: Follows eight seven seven nine Steve eight seven seven twenty
- 41:25Speaker 1: nine Steve, who this money? Then you'd be back when
- 41:29Speaker 1: the house they having him? Have you seen him? That's
- 41:34Speaker 1: the funniest show you've ever had, to me, the realist
- 41:38Speaker 1: talk show you've ever had. When you had them on
- 41:41Speaker 1: on your show as a guest, Tiny House Nation, Steve,
- 41:47Speaker 1: they got mad at me, Hey man, at you bout that? Though,
- 41:52Speaker 1: I'm sorry to talk to Maria out of Florida right,
- 41:58Speaker 1: Good morning, Hello Maria. Hi Steve Harvey. So happy that
- 42:03Speaker 1: I'm able to talk to you. Well, sweetheart, I'm glad
- 42:05Speaker 1: you got through to let me ask you a question.
- 42:08Speaker 1: Do you think you'd be happier if you had more money?
- 42:11Speaker 1: Or would you be happier if you just settle and
- 42:14Speaker 1: cut back and did with less. I would be happier
- 42:17Speaker 1: if I have more money for the simple fact that
- 42:20Speaker 1: I have a wonderful husband, and every day I pray
- 42:23Speaker 1: that I'm able to do more for him, because he's
- 42:27Speaker 1: very hard working, and I'm also trying to implement some
- 42:31Speaker 1: mental health and child's abuse services in the country Guyana,
- 42:36Speaker 1: which is in South America. It's deemed a third world
- 42:40Speaker 1: country and their child's abuse rate is extremely high. As
- 42:45Speaker 1: I say that, I'm trying to implement some services that
- 42:48Speaker 1: will help these kids out. A lot of people are
- 42:51Speaker 1: in the streets that are deemed mad people, but they
- 42:54Speaker 1: really have mental health issus. And because it's a third
- 42:59Speaker 1: world country, it's taboo in the country to say, well,
- 43:03Speaker 1: they have mental issues. They don't want to hear that
- 43:05Speaker 1: as a cultural thing. So I'm currently working with a
- 43:09Speaker 1: couple of friends of mine because we all out of
- 43:12Speaker 1: the country now, some of us live in America and
- 43:14Speaker 1: some live in other countries. So we're coming together to
- 43:17Speaker 1: form an organization that will help to implement services to
- 43:23Speaker 1: help these people out and these children. That's good work,
- 43:27Speaker 1: a good work, well, thank you, thank you very much.
- 43:31Speaker 1: She wants more money to do good so she can help,
- 43:33Speaker 1: Thank you, Thank you, Maria. So better with money, all right?
- 43:39Speaker 1: Coming up next, it's run that prank back from the Nephew.
- 43:44Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Show. What I mean
- 43:52Speaker 1: is that today coming up at the top of dour
- 43:54Speaker 1: We got strawberry letter but food? What you got next?
- 43:59Speaker 1: I got for your workers? Calm? What me? What's going on?
- 44:05Speaker 1: Thank you? Thank you? You played too much? Can I
- 44:09Speaker 1: tell you that is the name of the prank phone
- 44:12Speaker 1: call movie? You play too much? Give me if he
- 44:16Speaker 1: just give me the money to shoot this thing? You
- 44:19Speaker 1: played too much? Yeah, I need one point eight milligain.
- 44:23Speaker 1: I mean, you know, hey, moon like can do it
- 44:26Speaker 1: for one point to y'all can help me get this money?
- 44:29Speaker 1: You need one point eight me one point eight? Don't
- 44:32Speaker 1: the problem. Don't let me go bank this chick on
- 44:35Speaker 1: the movie. Then you just need one point seven nine. Na,
- 44:43Speaker 1: you're good with workers called the buildings that I was
- 44:46Speaker 1: hustling from the call the police on when I was yeah, hello, Hello,

- 45:06Speaker 1: got injured here at the job. How are you doing
- 45:08Speaker 1: so far? Yeah? Man, I'm I'm making it. Man, you know,
- 45:12Speaker 1: everything's cool and uh, you know, I don't know how long.
- 45:18Speaker 1: The therapy is going pretty good though, but I'm all right,
- 45:21Speaker 1: I'm okay. Therapy is going pretty well. Yeah, it's they say,
- 45:24Speaker 1: I'm doing all right. The pain level was about maybe
- 45:27Speaker 1: a fix still, but it's getting done it though. Okay, listen, Uh,
- 45:32Speaker 1: have you been getting your your check on time? Yeah,
- 45:35Speaker 1: I've been getting a man, and I appreciate it. But
- 45:36Speaker 1: it really helps, man, because you know, I ain't able
- 45:40Speaker 1: to work right now. They said it's gonna be a
- 45:41Speaker 1: little while, so I appreciate that. Y'all the one defending
- 45:46Speaker 1: the check, yes, sir, yes, sir. We all want to
- 45:48Speaker 1: getting the checks out and want to make sure that

- 45:53Speaker 1: all good, man. I appreciate it. I appreciate it. Let
- 45:56Speaker 1: me checking. We've got a bit of a problem that
- 46:00Speaker 1: we wanted to check out. Now. You haven't been doing
- 46:02Speaker 1: any any strainuous? Uh? No, no, no, no, I ain't been.
- 46:07Speaker 1: I ain't. I ain't been working at all, man, I
- 46:09Speaker 1: just you know, I've just been taking it either. I
- 46:11Speaker 1: can't do nothing really right now, and they told me
- 46:14Speaker 1: I could do nothing, all right, And then you do
- 46:16Speaker 1: know the rules are that you're not supposed to do
- 46:17Speaker 1: anything to jeopardize your back. Correct. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm straight.
- 46:22Speaker 1: I'm straight. I ain't been doing nothing. Man. Okay, well

- 47:13Speaker 1: you know, looking out for me. Do I mean you

- 48:36Speaker 1: dam about what you're paying me and what you ain't
- 48:38Speaker 1: paying me, you're gonna call my damn phone tell me

- 49:21Speaker 1: who y'all think. Y'all ears down there y'all just do
- 49:23Speaker 1: something for them. Think y'all can just call them and

- 49:46Speaker 1: You think you've giving up some money. Now I'm gonna
- 49:48Speaker 1: see y'all ill catch a camera up and my up
- 49:51Speaker 1: my house, and you ain't gonna how to never pay
- 49:54Speaker 1: uh pay me no more. You're gonna pay me one

- 50:49Speaker 1: He ain't on the phone. Man, I'm sweating like a
- 50:52Speaker 1: so I'm still so. I'm still getting my damn checked.
- 50:54Speaker 1: That that's what that means. Y'all have be heated. Boy.
- 50:56Speaker 1: I thought y'all gonna take what's up? Man? Nice and
- 51:00Speaker 1: here from y'all. Man don't got me though, Man, y'all
- 51:04Speaker 1: got me. I got one more question? Man, what is
- 51:07Speaker 1: the baddest and I mean the baddest radio show in
- 51:10Speaker 1: the land? Of course, no doubt. Man, if the Steve
- 51:13Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show always will be especially y'all got me
- 51:18Speaker 1: like this here? Did I make y'all prod Wow? Oh,
- 51:23Speaker 1: you're the king of pranks if that's what you want. Okay,
- 51:26Speaker 1: you validation. I'm gonna be the king. Come said at night,
- 51:30Speaker 1: Miss Sherley. That's late Charles Louisiana. Did you hear me call?
- 51:34Speaker 1: That's boota and territory right up and down. I'm in
- 51:37Speaker 1: late Charles Louisiana at the Civic Center. The nephew gonna
- 51:40Speaker 1: be up in there acting a dog gone food. Oh,
- 51:44Speaker 1: me gonna be in the building. Eugene gonna be in
- 51:46Speaker 1: the building, like Charles. Ain't ready for all these people
- 51:48Speaker 1: inside of my dog over here. They're not read of that.
- 51:51Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Shows that time
- 52:00Speaker 1: bual subject. Brother in law has to go. Good morning,
- 52:08Speaker 1: Shirley and Steve. My husband got my brother in law
- 52:11Speaker 1: a job at his company and allowed him to live
- 52:14Speaker 1: with us a while, live with us while he got
- 52:17Speaker 1: us used to the city and found a place to live. Well,
- 52:21Speaker 1: that was two years ago. And he eats all our food,
- 52:24Speaker 1: doesn't clean up after himself. We have we have no children,
- 52:29Speaker 1: so one whole side of the house is basically all
- 52:32Speaker 1: to himself. He practically practically lives here rent free, all
- 52:36Speaker 1: paid utilities, food, cable pass uh passed to our community,
- 52:42Speaker 1: jim oh passes to our community, gym and pool, etcetera.
- 52:45Speaker 1: You name it, he's got it courtesy of us. Now
- 52:48Speaker 1: My husband got a job about three hours away and
- 52:51Speaker 1: had to get an apartment to stay during the week,
- 52:54Speaker 1: and he has left me here with the mooture of
- 52:58Speaker 1: his brother. I want him out, but my husband says
- 53:01Speaker 1: he feels a lot better knowing someone is in the
- 53:03Speaker 1: house with me than me being alone. I told my
- 53:06Speaker 1: husband I did not care. I was sick and tired
- 53:09Speaker 1: of the situation, and he has until the end of May.
- 53:12Speaker 1: He says he told him to move out, and he
- 53:15Speaker 1: has mentioned his guilt of having to have done it.
- 53:18Speaker 1: Plus his mother has called him and given him the
- 53:21Speaker 1: guilt trip. I don't believe it's true and that he
- 53:23Speaker 1: will be out by the end of May. I am
- 53:26Speaker 1: counting down the days. My question is what should I
- 53:29Speaker 1: do if he's not out by May. The worst part
- 53:32Speaker 1: a couple of years before um. The worst part a
- 53:36Speaker 1: couple of years before that. My sister and her kids
- 53:38Speaker 1: lived with us for about a year. She did pay
- 53:41Speaker 1: for food, cooked, and cleaned. But I know he will
- 53:44Speaker 1: hold it against me because he sees it as us
- 53:47Speaker 1: helping family desperately looking for a solution. Wow, you know,
- 53:53Speaker 1: one of the worst feelings to me in the world
- 53:55Speaker 1: is to be in your own home, you know, and
- 53:58Speaker 1: then be uncalm, tr bull and to feel out of place.
- 54:02Speaker 1: I mean that's where you go after a hard day's work.
- 54:05Speaker 1: You know, you close the doors, you shut out the
- 54:07Speaker 1: world and just have some peace, you know, some love
- 54:10Speaker 1: in your home. But but right now you're a prisoner
- 54:13Speaker 1: in your own home. It sounds to me because you
- 54:15Speaker 1: can't really do what you want to do. And that's
- 54:17Speaker 1: the key, because you know, it sounds as if you
- 54:21Speaker 1: don't think that it's your home too, or you're not
- 54:24Speaker 1: really getting that at your home too, and you can
- 54:26Speaker 1: speak up about this. I mean, you've been dealing with
- 54:28Speaker 1: this for two years, so you've just been walking around
- 54:31Speaker 1: miserable and upset for two years. Um. You know I
- 54:36Speaker 1: I say this, you know it's a whole lot this man,
- 54:39Speaker 1: your brother in law, has a job now that means
- 54:41Speaker 1: he can definitely get out and get an apartment. Um.
- 54:44Speaker 1: To me, the bigger problem in all of this, though,
- 54:46Speaker 1: is your husband. He's the one that doesn't get it.
- 54:49Speaker 1: You need to have a conversation with him. Tell him
- 54:52Speaker 1: he's confusing helping with enabling and that this situation is
- 54:55Speaker 1: putting a big strain on your marriage. He's putting family
- 54:58Speaker 1: before you, And that's really the thing to do in
- 55:00Speaker 1: a marriage. His family needs to get out of your
- 55:03Speaker 1: house and your marriage. Steve, this is a bunch of bull.
- 55:09Speaker 1: It's what to see is the right here. I can't
- 55:13Speaker 1: stand letters like this. Right here, that's a grown man
- 55:16Speaker 1: in your house. Grown man got a job. Okay, let
- 55:21Speaker 1: me tell you where your letter went a little crazy
- 55:23Speaker 1: at Uh, he got him a job at his company.
- 55:27Speaker 1: Live with us for a while. It's been two years.
- 55:31Speaker 1: Who you know working? Can't get an apartment after two years?
- 55:34Speaker 1: Who you know he can't get an apartment after six months?
- 55:38Speaker 1: Who do you know? Okay, we have no children. Okay,
- 55:45Speaker 1: he eats up all our food, doesn't clean up after.
- 55:47Speaker 1: We have no children. So he has one side of
- 55:50Speaker 1: the whole house basically to himself. Well, here's a correction.
- 55:53Speaker 1: You do have children. You do him, and it's him,
- 55:58Speaker 1: the big gass dude that stay in the house, that
- 56:02Speaker 1: can drive and go to work. That's your child. Now,
- 56:05Speaker 1: they ain't your brother in law. That's you all child. Uh.
- 56:10Speaker 1: He's got all of this stuff paid utilities, he doesn't
- 56:14Speaker 1: pay rent any utility, doesn't buy food, cable passed to
- 56:17Speaker 1: the community, gym, and pool, you name it, he got it.
- 56:20Speaker 1: I want him out. My husband says he feels better
- 56:23Speaker 1: knowing that there's someone in the house with me. You
- 56:25Speaker 1: know how many grown women can stay by their self?
- 56:29Speaker 1: Do you know how many grown women can stay in
- 56:31Speaker 1: their house by their self. That's a ridiculous response. I
- 56:35Speaker 1: feel better knowing somebody's dead with you. Man. Are you nuts?
- 56:38Speaker 1: That's a great thing to say. You ain't there. You
- 56:42Speaker 1: have moved out on the man. Now. You haven't left
- 56:44Speaker 1: your woman at the house because you got a job
- 56:46Speaker 1: three hours away, and you have left this man in
- 56:48Speaker 1: the house with your want Are you nuts? I got it,
- 56:50Speaker 1: your brother, And you don't think nothing gonna happen. I'm
- 56:52Speaker 1: not saying nothing, We all happen. I'm just saying she's
- 56:55Speaker 1: sick of she can't come home walk around her own
- 56:57Speaker 1: house naked and lawd no, we all like that. See
- 57:00Speaker 1: them walk through the house naked? Anyway, That's a whole
- 57:03Speaker 1: not thing. He felt guilt, He says, his mother has
- 57:08Speaker 1: called him and given him the guilt trip. Hell, let
- 57:11Speaker 1: him stay with his mama, then the mama gotta gilt trip.
- 57:15Speaker 1: Somebody else opened up the house and let home of
- 57:19Speaker 1: the homeless movie him. But you've got to stop this. Um.
- 57:25Speaker 1: I got some responses for you when I come back.
- 57:28Speaker 1: This is how to get someone to leave your house.
- 57:38Speaker 1: Part two of Jeeve's response to today's Strawberry letter. Come back,
- 57:44Speaker 1: you're listening, Steve Harvey. Morning, We'll be back. I got
- 57:48Speaker 1: more on the Strawberry letter right after this. Don't go
- 57:51Speaker 1: over letters. Brother in law gotta go? Uh the brother
- 58:00Speaker 1: in law do have to go? Period? You know this
- 58:03Speaker 1: is crazy right here? See here's what Here's that I
- 58:06Speaker 1: got helping your brother get on his feet. But seeing
- 58:08Speaker 1: what people confuse it helping somebody and taking care of somebody.
- 58:13Speaker 1: It's two different things. If you are a person who
- 58:17Speaker 1: needs a nurse at your house every day, then you
- 58:21Speaker 1: got somebody that's coming by taking care of you. Flipping you,
- 58:25Speaker 1: washing you, wiping you, spreading you, rolling you, over, powdering you.
- 58:31Speaker 1: That's taking care of somebody. That's too much. All I
- 58:36Speaker 1: wanna do is help you. I went to the store
- 58:39Speaker 1: boxing prescription, bought it, puts it on nice scat nicety.
- 58:42Speaker 1: I let you tomorrow. That's helping somebody. Taking care of
- 58:46Speaker 1: somebody is putting the peel in their mouth and making
- 58:50Speaker 1: them chewing you opening their jaw and making them lacking
- 58:54Speaker 1: much on it. That that's what that is. That's too much.
- 58:57Speaker 1: Rule number one. See, and the hern's got to require
- 59:00Speaker 1: that his brother be a man. Stop cuddling this little boy,
- 59:04Speaker 1: be a man. Get up on your own while and
- 59:06Speaker 1: why do these dudes get their little brothers and these
- 59:08Speaker 1: mothers require that you take care of his boy like here,
- 59:11Speaker 1: boy the rest of his life. Rule number one. In
- 59:13Speaker 1: my house. No rent, no food, no cleaning, no stay.
- 59:19Speaker 1: That's rule number one. If you don't do these three
- 59:22Speaker 1: things right here, then you can't stay the day I
- 59:25Speaker 1: say you can't stay? Now, how do you get him out?
- 59:30Speaker 1: Listen to me, this is some things you can do.
- 59:32Speaker 1: Because your husband has moved to this apartment during the week.
- 59:36Speaker 1: Here's what you do. Put combination locks on all the toilets.
- 59:43Speaker 1: On the toilets, not the door, and then act like
- 59:47Speaker 1: you can't remember the combination. You got to go somewhere
- 59:53Speaker 1: you can't hold it. Number two, chain a pit bull
- 59:58Speaker 1: to the refrigerator. That cut back on eating. And once
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: you can't go to bathroom, you can't eat. You really
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: had to find somewhere to stay. If that don't work,
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: it's gotta work. You can always ask your sister and
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: all hookey is to move back in in his room,
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: make it real crowded in there. And then after that
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: the last one. You may not want to do this
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: for me, this is what well, I just you know,
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: I don't want to throw you can high hit man,
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: sassinated crazy. Today's Strawberry letter is posted on Steve Harvey
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: dot com. You can tweet or instagram me your thoughts

- 1:01:11Speaker 1: I sound like Betty Davidson, Joan Crawford feud and and
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: why are we talking about a few Let's talk about
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: family feud hosted Vibe Steve Harvey and Celebrity family Feud
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: as well. Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, Good morning. I
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: don't think I can stay with this. I don't think
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: I can stay with this. Hey, I'm on my way
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: to the Richmond Funny Bone in Richmond, Virginia. And then
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: on Saturday we will be meeting with the Saras of
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: Zeta Fi Beta and Richmond and all over Virginia marches
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: Find a Woman Month for all of us. I mentioned
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: Feud one Uh Colin and Sherley's is because I got
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: a chance to see the first five episodes. And you
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: know Ryan Murphy that does American hirl or Story and O. J.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: Simpson everything did in amaze easing, amazing job. Look for
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: the performance of of the maid called Mama Seta. She
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: does an excellent job. And you'll see a lot of
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: stars that you know. So I want you to check
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: that out and check out how they dealt with women
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: back in the thirties, forties and fifties, and how some
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: of these things are prevalent today. And it's starting Susan
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: Surrandon and Jessica Like, I know, y'all said, well, why
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: are you talking about it? I don't have anything to
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: do with it. I'm just saying there's some great art
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: and you want to check it out. But my real
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: topic is so you can lie now and not get impeached.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: Bill Clinton is on the phone, what the hell is
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: going on? Now? Come on, now, we all was on
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: Bill Clinton's side. We said, if some happen, you ain't
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: posed to tell the truth. No, woman, I want to
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: hear the truth from their man when they jump off
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: like that. Now, I think Jefferson Sessions, that's his name,
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: So you know that that don't even sound right, especially
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: after Black History Month. Jeffer's successors a lie, perjured himself,
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: He's a liar, a tetah. Well, that's all. He'll lie
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: your tea. But it's a song. It's a song called
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: you know it, but you make no, no, no, no,
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: it ain't you name it. It's a song you a liar,
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: cheat on something. Alexand O'Neil or something like that, throwback.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: Oh no, o'ne's criticized, No, criticize Alexander O'Neill's. When that
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: girl say why you got all these weak men up
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: in here? And I brought up my friends. Y'all know
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: Alexander I'm saying, is the dude met with the Russians,
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: which means he perjured himself, which means he cannot be
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: the intern of General. Let's bring out the impeachment. What
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: it's going I didn't want to know. How could I
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: be down? You got to come. It's wild up in
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: the White House. I'm out lying. I love it. They're
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: just doing everything. You're supposed to lose your job. You
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: at least probation suspension. How you're just lying and you
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: pupposed to be the chief law enforcement. You're the at
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: You can't perjah? Can they impeat you get addition there? Yeah,
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: they need a clean house upday. They trip it. They
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: just started though. Dang, yeah that girl. Don't put on
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: feet all up on the couch. You can't put your
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: feet up on black people cows. Even if you do
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: have plastic over you can put your feet alight. Thank
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: you always with your crazy self coming up, We'll take
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: more of your phone calls. We'll be back in forty
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: eight after the hour. You're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: Morning Show. There's a new survey out, guys that finds
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: that people believe their lives would be better with more money.
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: I mean, we've all said that, boy, if we just
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: have more money, if we had the money to do
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: this or whatever whatever, um, But that doesn't necessarily mean
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: it would make them happy. Okay. In fact, only according
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: to the survey of the people believe that money brings
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: meaning to their lives, and a whopping say that people
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: obsessed with money aren't really experiencing the true meaning of life.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: So here's a question. Do you believe your life would
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: be better with more money? You call us? Eight seven seven,
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: We'll be back, baby. I'll give you my mind, give
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: you time with you. So here's the question. Do you
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: believe your life would be better with more money as
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: it is? Yeah? What's the next? Like? You got great toys?
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: I like, I envy your toys. You've got some amazing toys.
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: What's the next big toy you want? He can't say,
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: he can see it. That's why he took the breath
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: on your uncle. But but you know he's allowed to
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: have these toys. He worked hard for him. So I'm
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: just what's the next one on you? Because I don't
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: even know how to dream like you dream? What's the
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: next toy? You know what I would really really love
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: to have? What? What he isn't her airplanes? Wow? That's boling.
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: I know a guy who has that h and he
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: bought his wife the same kind of airplane he got. Wow,
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: So they can go where it's like having your own car.
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: I mean, you know so, so if they're go in
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: separate ways, she ain't gotta fly commercial. And if he
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: got the plane, she got her own plane up. That's
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: really now, that's extravagant. That's over the top. If I
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: could do that, and you know, that'd be cool, but
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: you know we ain't, so it's cool anyway. I'm just
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: trying to get his in her sinks. If I get
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: in the bathroom, boy man, and I ain't never had
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: that my weight, that's all. And products out the way.
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: That's how it starts. Because remember this now, all I
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: wanted was a place to turn the key in the dog.
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: The first department I got from homelessness was a hundred
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: eighty five dollars a month, and I struggled to make
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: that payment capit late notice on my day though, but
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: I swore up and down I wasn't gonna be homeless
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: no more. So I felt like a dog to come
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: up with that money, and I did didn't. The next
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: apartment after that, I went the same complex. I went
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: from a month to fifteen fifteen a month, dog thirty more.
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: Good Lord coming around quickly. But we're working for the
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: first we're working for the third of that field right
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: before that late note right up in now. So when
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: I turned thirty eight years old, thirty eight was the
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: first time I got a car in my name, thirty
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: eight years old, and it was a used Lexus H. So,
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: what was your first new car. My first new car
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: was a my first brand new car I got in
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: nineteen ninety No, for not now. My first new car
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: was nineteen ninety six, ninety six. I was driving down
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: the street in l A. I just got a paycheck
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: on Steve Harvey Show. I went to the bank and
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: cashed it. I had all cash. I was driving down
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: Santa Monica Boulevard and I saw Alexis or one of
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: the big trucks that It was a four fifty or
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: Fox seventy X, a l truck. It was sitting up
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: on the this turning. Whoa. I got out, the truck,
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: got out my car, went over there and told him
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: I want that truck right there. I looked at the
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: sticker in the window. It was fifty five thousand dollars.
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: That was forty forty eight thousand dollars. I had seventy
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: grand only. I said, I want that truck right there,
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: right now I'll pay cash. That was that was the
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: first car in my name. You're listening to the Steve
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Eighteen minutes after the hour you're listening,
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: coming coming up next, pastor, that's who I'm is. Um
