Latest / The Ben Ferguson Podcast / Trump's Plan for VP Pick plus MAJOR VICTORY in Classified Docs Case
Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: A massive day of news. Jd. Vance is the pick
- 0:05Speaker 1: for the vice presidency.
- 0:07Speaker 2: I'm gonna have a lot to say about that in
- 0:09Speaker 2: a moment, as I've spent some time with him, actually
- 0:13Speaker 2: had him as a guest on a podcast I do
- 0:15Speaker 2: with Senator Cruz, and we're gonna talk about what this means.
- 0:18Speaker 1: He's younger. He's thirty eight years old.
- 0:21Speaker 2: This is a very young and vibrant pick by Donald Trump,
- 0:25Speaker 2: a guy who many love because he's a hardcore MAGA
- 0:28Speaker 2: type of individual.
- 0:30Speaker 1: He is a one point eighty from Mike Pence.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Is the easiest way I can describe him as a
- 0:35Speaker 2: VP pick. This all happening while there was a massive
- 0:41Speaker 2: victory legally for the President of the United States of America,
- 0:44Speaker 2: Donald Trump or former President Trump, with the dismissal of
- 0:47Speaker 2: the classified documents case.
- 0:50Speaker 1: It is a seismic development.
- 0:52Speaker 2: From the beginning of all these cases, the Marlago raid
- 0:56Speaker 2: case was the greatest threat to the former president. It
- 0:59Speaker 2: has now been dismissed, and they said it was unconstitutional
- 1:04Speaker 2: the way that they put a special prosecutor in there. Again,
- 1:08Speaker 2: this is a victory. As that news broke. This is
- 1:13Speaker 2: what they said on TV at.
- 1:15Speaker 3: Fox Judge Eileen Cannon has dismissed the classified documents case
- 1:20Speaker 3: against Donald Trump in Florida. This is massive news. We
- 1:23Speaker 3: did not see this coming at all. This is a
- 1:26Speaker 3: case that she tentatively postponed to a later date. The
- 1:29Speaker 3: original trial was set for the end of May. She
- 1:32Speaker 3: moved it back a couple of months, though not setting
- 1:34Speaker 3: a date. She has just dismissed it in a ninety
- 1:37Speaker 3: three page court document, saying that Jack Smith, the special
- 1:41Speaker 3: counsel's appointment, violates the appropriation's clause and the appointment's clause
- 1:47Speaker 3: of the United States Constitution. In layman's terms, she's saying
- 1:51Speaker 3: that he was not appointed lawfully and not appointed appropriately.
- 1:56Speaker 2: So, in other words, a weaponized the justice system, knowing
- 2:00Speaker 2: that they were breaking the law with the appointment of
- 2:03Speaker 2: this prosecutor, Jack Smith.
- 2:05Speaker 1: It was all a ruse from the very beginning.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Donald Trump putting this out on true social quote. As
- 2:13Speaker 2: we move forward and uniting our nation after the horrific
- 2:16Speaker 2: events on Saturday, this dismissal of the lawless indictment in
- 2:21Speaker 2: Florida should be just the first step, followed quickly by
- 2:26Speaker 2: the dismissal of all the witch hunts. The January sixth
- 2:30Speaker 2: hoax in Washington, d C. The Manhattan DA's zombie case,
- 2:35Speaker 2: the New York Attorney General scam fate claims about a
- 2:38Speaker 2: woman I never met a decade's old photo in align
- 2:42Speaker 2: with her then husband does not count yes, and the
- 2:47Speaker 2: Georgia Perfect phone call charges. The Democratic Justice Department coordinated
- 2:53Speaker 2: all of these political attacks, which are an election interference
- 2:58Speaker 2: conspiracy against Joe Biden's political opponent.
- 3:01Speaker 4: Me.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Let us come together to end all weaponization of our
- 3:06Speaker 2: justice system and make America great again. That is what
- 3:10Speaker 2: the President had to say. Now, I'm gonna have a
- 3:12Speaker 2: lot more in the details of that coming up in
- 3:14Speaker 2: a moment. Let me tell you about my friends at

- 5:04Speaker 2: All Right, so let's go back to the choosing, which
- 5:09Speaker 2: is incredible of jd Vance and why I believe that
- 5:12Speaker 2: this was the pick that Donald Trump really always wanted
- 5:15Speaker 2: to make. I predicted it several hours before the pick
- 5:19Speaker 2: came in. I'd said this on TV that I thought
- 5:21Speaker 2: he was the front runner multiple times. And the reason
- 5:25Speaker 2: why I say that he was the predictable pick for
- 5:29Speaker 2: quite some time is Number One, he is a guy
- 5:34Speaker 2: that many believe, I think could be the president of
- 5:36Speaker 2: the United States of America. Something ever happened to Donald
- 5:38Speaker 2: Trump that has become more realistic since what happened on
- 5:41Speaker 2: Saturday than ever before.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Okay, number one.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Number two, I think that he is a guy that
- 5:50Speaker 2: also served in the military. That was important to Donald
- 5:54Speaker 2: Trump because military is important to him. Military service is
- 5:58Speaker 2: something that he has massively respect for. We saw that
- 6:01Speaker 2: the entire time I was the president. The way he
- 6:03Speaker 2: respects law enforcement, the way he respects people that wear
- 6:07Speaker 2: badge and put their lives on the line, is something
- 6:09Speaker 2: that is I think incredible, and so that is another
- 6:13Speaker 2: example of why I think he was the obvious nominee here.
- 6:18Speaker 2: I also think this is who Donald Trump wanted to pick.
- 6:21Speaker 2: And look, there's a lot of questions of who he
- 6:23Speaker 2: should pick based on if he's not running against Joe Biden,
- 6:28Speaker 2: if he's running against Kamala Harris or someone else. And
- 6:31Speaker 2: so that's another aspect that had been brought up, like
- 6:34Speaker 2: do you pick someone different if it's Kamwa Harris. And look,
- 6:37Speaker 2: I think at the end of the day, especially after Saturday,
- 6:42Speaker 2: especially after Saturday and this assassination attempt, I think Donald
- 6:48Speaker 2: Trump made a very clear decision. I am going to
- 6:51Speaker 2: pick the person that I think is best for the
- 6:54Speaker 2: job because I understand how important that pick is, and
- 6:58Speaker 2: I'm not going to pick based on who I may
- 7:00Speaker 2: or may not be running against. I'm gonna pick who
- 7:01Speaker 2: I think is the best person for the job if
- 7:05Speaker 2: I need someone to step in.
- 7:07Speaker 1: JD.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Van serving the military, he understands keeping this country safe,
- 7:11Speaker 2: he understands border security. I think he's someone that many
- 7:15Speaker 2: Trump supporters would are very, very very comfortable with. He's
- 7:18Speaker 2: also younger, and I think when age has become such
- 7:22Speaker 2: an issue in this campaign, with Donald Trump's age and
- 7:25Speaker 2: especially Joe Biden, having a younger vice president at thirty
- 7:30Speaker 2: eight is something that's going to, I think, be very
- 7:33Speaker 2: appealing to many voters that support Donald Trump. Now, I
- 7:38Speaker 2: have not seen a lot of negatives from Trump supporters.
- 7:43Speaker 2: I've seen some that don't like him, that are not
- 7:46Speaker 2: your traditional backers. So I want to be clear about that.
- 7:50Speaker 2: There's always going to be naysayers. But this Trump Van's
- 7:55Speaker 2: ticket has one that Again, I think you go back
- 7:58Speaker 2: to what Donald TRUMPUMP has said from the very beginning.
- 8:02Speaker 1: He wanted someone that he could work with.
- 8:04Speaker 2: He has relationships obviously as a centator from Ohio and
- 8:08Speaker 2: Capitol Hill. He's a fighter, he works hard, fights hard
- 8:12Speaker 2: to every day for the people in Ohio.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Ohio, by the way, is a swing state.
- 8:18Speaker 2: I think that certainly came into the equation as well.
- 8:22Speaker 1: And so you add all of that.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Up, and I think what you witness is a easy
- 8:27Speaker 2: decision for Donald Trump to pick JD.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Vance.
- 8:31Speaker 2: And Look, I think he was the front runner virtually
- 8:33Speaker 2: the entire time. He is someone that is hardcore, kind
- 8:37Speaker 2: of maga guy. He is a guy that was consistently
- 8:41Speaker 2: seen with the President of the United States America. So
- 8:43Speaker 2: I also think that's part of it is it had
- 8:46Speaker 2: just made sense in that capacity. Trump naming Jdi Vance
- 8:51Speaker 2: as his VP pick. When this happened on Fox, there
- 8:55Speaker 2: was excitement in the hall at the convention.
- 8:59Speaker 5: The news we have been with waiting for throughout the
- 9:01Speaker 5: day has just been made. This is an announcement on
- 9:04Speaker 5: truth social by former President Trump. He has selected Ohio
- 9:08Speaker 5: Senator JD. Vance as his vice presidential pick. And this
- 9:12Speaker 5: is what he writes. After lengthy deliberation and thought, and
- 9:16Speaker 5: considering the tremendous talents of many others, I have decided
- 9:19Speaker 5: that the person best suited to assume the position of
- 9:22Speaker 5: Vice President of the United States is JD. Vance of
- 9:25Speaker 5: the great state of Ohio. So let's talk to about
- 9:29Speaker 5: this with our great panel that we have assembled here
- 9:31Speaker 5: in Milwaukee. Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, doctor Ben Carson,
- 9:35Speaker 5: former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development in the prior
- 9:38Speaker 5: Trump administration, and he's founder and chairman of American Cornerstone Institute,
- 9:42Speaker 5: and former Secretary of State and former CIA Director Mike Pompeo,
- 9:45Speaker 5: also a Fox News contributor. So let's go around the horns.
- 9:51Speaker 5: Mike Pompeo, good to see you.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Let's start with you. This is big, bricky news. What's
- 9:55Speaker 1: your reaction? Big news a great pick.
- 9:57Speaker 6: He'll be a fancastic vice president as prepared.
- 10:00Speaker 1: A lead America if that's what's called upon.
- 10:02Speaker 6: And I was very confident that I didn't know who
- 10:04Speaker 6: it was, but whoever it was, would be better than
- 10:06Speaker 6: the current vice president.
- 10:07Speaker 1: And he has way hit that bar. I'm excited.
- 10:10Speaker 6: I'm excited about the ticket, and I'm excited about what
- 10:12Speaker 6: this means for America in the years to come.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Mike Pompeo there.
- 10:16Speaker 2: I love how you can hear the excitement in the
- 10:18Speaker 2: background of state by state is going through their delegates
- 10:21Speaker 2: and nomination are telling who obviously they're going to nominate
- 10:25Speaker 2: from the floor. This is day one at the convention.
- 10:28Speaker 2: This is one of those moments where and I want
- 10:31Speaker 2: you to hear what.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Don Junior had to say.
- 10:33Speaker 2: He was asked about Jadie Vance on the floor of
- 10:36Speaker 2: the convention, and this is what Don Junior said.
- 10:39Speaker 7: I think he's lived with the epitome of the American
- 10:41Speaker 7: dream story. I think he's the guy that's capable of
- 10:43Speaker 7: bringing that same success that he was able to have
- 10:46Speaker 7: coming from nothing, coming from Appalachia and succeeding at a
- 10:50Speaker 7: level that no one could possibly fathom. You know, if
- 10:52Speaker 7: you've read Hillbilly Elogy. I think it's one of the
- 10:54Speaker 7: great books. I read it when it first came out,
- 10:57Speaker 7: before he was even sort of on board with Trump,
- 11:00Speaker 7: or you'll believe that Trump could be the guy that
- 11:02Speaker 7: can do that. He's just been an incredible fighter ever
- 11:04Speaker 7: since he saw that he was real and that kind
- 11:07Speaker 7: of energy for the movement, for the country, for jobs,
- 11:11Speaker 7: for world peace. I couldn't be happier.
- 11:14Speaker 2: The vic Ramaswami is saying, so proud of my friend,
- 11:18Speaker 2: classmate and fellows Southwest Ohian today. We used to watch
- 11:21Speaker 2: Bengals games at the bar in law school. It's awesome
- 11:26Speaker 2: we're now here a decade later with JD joining the
- 11:29Speaker 2: strongest political ticket, the strongest presidential ticket in our lifetime.
- 11:35Speaker 2: He'll be an outstanding vice president and I look forward
- 11:38Speaker 2: to everything ahead for him and for our country. The
- 11:42Speaker 2: Vick Ramaswami saying that about JD. Vance there in his tweet,
- 11:47Speaker 2: you're seeing a lot of people that are actually excited
- 11:51Speaker 2: about this. That there seems to be real excitement around
- 11:56Speaker 2: this pick. That is something that we have not always seen.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Mike Pence, I'm just gonna be ounce with you. Not
- 12:04Speaker 2: a lot of excitement here, Okay, just not a lot.
- 12:08Speaker 2: Josh Holly on Trump's VP announcement, he said, beforehand, Look,
- 12:13Speaker 2: I know Trump will pick somebody who will be terrific.
- 12:16Speaker 2: This country is looking for the kind of leadership and
- 12:18Speaker 2: the kind of strength and courage that Donald Trump showed JD.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Van to someone that served his country, and I do
- 12:24Speaker 2: think that came into part of this. You need a
- 12:26Speaker 2: commander in chief who can pick someone who they believe
- 12:30Speaker 2: can take over instantly if something terrible happens, and JD.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Van to someone there that I think is going to
- 12:38Speaker 2: bring genuine excitement, especially for core supporters of Donald Trump. Now,
- 12:44Speaker 2: while all this is happening, let me pivot for a
- 12:48Speaker 2: second to what's happening at the White House. And before
- 12:50Speaker 2: I give you all the details, I want to take
- 12:52Speaker 2: a moment and I want to ask for your help.
- 12:54Speaker 2: The w're in Israel started on October the seventh. We
- 12:58Speaker 2: have seen death and destruct in the Holy Land for
- 13:01Speaker 2: more than forty years. The International Fellowship of Christians and
- 13:05Speaker 2: Jews has been on the ground in Israel and within
- 13:07Speaker 2: hours of the war starting, and every day since, they've
- 13:10Speaker 2: been feeding the hungry and protecting the vulnerable. You may
- 13:14Speaker 2: not realize, but Israel is literally under attack now on
- 13:17Speaker 2: a daily basis, with rockets coming in. Those that are
- 13:22Speaker 2: surrounding Israel are doing everything they can to take them out.
- 13:26Speaker 2: The attacks continue in the North and the South, but
- 13:30Speaker 2: there are resilient survivors who bravely share their stories in
- 13:34Speaker 2: a series the Fellowship calls Faces of Iron Survivors like Danny.
- 13:40Speaker 2: His beloved daughter and her husband were burned alive on
- 13:43Speaker 2: October the seventh by Hamas Terras. Danny is a commander
- 13:47Speaker 2: of the volunteer fire and rescue group in his community.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Despite fire equipment nearby, Danny could do nothing as his
- 13:54Speaker 2: daughter's house burned and his daughter and her husband lost
- 13:58Speaker 2: their lives. Christians like you support Israel through the International
- 14:02Speaker 2: Fellowship of Christians and Jews. It's this support that helps
- 14:06Speaker 2: these survivors remain steadfast and strong. To hear more stories
- 14:10Speaker 2: like this one and show your support for Israel. Please

- 14:19Speaker 2: support IFCJ dot org, Support IFCJ dot org.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Now, my orc has.
- 14:27Speaker 2: Said quote, I have one hundred percent confidence in the
- 14:29Speaker 2: director of the United States Secret Service. The Secret Service
- 14:32Speaker 2: director is under fire now for caring more about DEI
- 14:35Speaker 2: hires than actually protecting the people they're supposed to protect.
- 14:39Speaker 2: And that's the criticism. I would expect nothing more, nothing less.
- 14:43Speaker 2: By the way, from my orcus, he's an incompetent idiot
- 14:46Speaker 2: that's allowed a wide open southern border and terrorists to
- 14:49Speaker 2: come across the southern border. Why would I believe that
- 14:51Speaker 2: he would throw the director of the Secret Service under
- 14:54Speaker 2: the bus.
- 14:54Speaker 1: He's not gonna do that because they're bureaucrats.
- 14:58Speaker 2: They are bureacrats that are that are that are obsessed
- 15:02Speaker 2: with DEI, and so he is defending the Secret Service director.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Listen to this in the White House.
- 15:08Speaker 8: As arbissertary on that, does do you does the President
- 15:12Speaker 8: have confidence in the Secret Service director?
- 15:14Speaker 1: At Saturday?
- 15:15Speaker 9: Sailures I have confidence in the director of the United
- 15:19Speaker 9: States State Secret Service. I have one confidence in the
- 15:23Speaker 9: United States Secret Service. And what you saw on stage
- 15:27Speaker 9: on Saturday, with respect to individuals putting their own lives
- 15:31Speaker 9: at risk for the protection of another is exactly what
- 15:34Speaker 9: the American public should see every single day. It is
- 15:38Speaker 9: what I, indeed.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Do, is what I do every day.
- 15:43Speaker 2: This is the same guy that looked at you in
- 15:45Speaker 2: the face and said the border is secure, the border
- 15:48Speaker 2: is secure, the border is secure, while millions were flooding
- 15:52Speaker 2: the southern border. So when he says I have a
- 15:54Speaker 2: hundred confidence in the director of the United States Secret Service,
- 15:56Speaker 2: what that means is you should have zero confidence in
- 15:59Speaker 2: the director of the Secret Service if this is what
- 16:02Speaker 2: they're saying. John Pierre on Biden calling Trump a threat
- 16:07Speaker 2: to this nation. Now she's being called out the White
- 16:10Speaker 2: House Press briefing.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Listen to this.
- 16:11Speaker 5: Just last week in Michigan, President Biden called Trump a
- 16:14Speaker 5: threat to this nation. Should we expect that he will
- 16:17Speaker 5: not be calling out Trump with that kind of writer's
- 16:19Speaker 5: going forward.
- 16:19Speaker 10: So what I will say is that it is important, right,
- 16:24Speaker 10: We believe is important to continue to forcefully speak against
- 16:28Speaker 10: any type of political bible. That is what the President believes,
- 16:31Speaker 10: and we do not want to politicize this moment. Politicizing
- 16:34Speaker 10: this moment is unacceptable, we believe, and the President believe.
- 16:37Speaker 10: You heard from him and very clear in a very
- 16:41Speaker 10: clear statement last night about the importance of uniting this country,
- 16:44Speaker 10: the importance of continuing to do so, and that we
- 16:48Speaker 10: cannot tear America apart to score political points. We cannot
- 16:51Speaker 10: do that. And so we don't want to pulicize this moment.
- 16:54Speaker 10: We want to unite, We want to continue to focus
- 16:56Speaker 10: on that. And that's what the President's going to focus.
- 16:58Speaker 1: On, right That's a message, that's the message. We're not
- 17:02Speaker 1: going to put us size this moment.
- 17:03Speaker 2: It's unacceptable really because he called the President a threat,
- 17:07Speaker 2: a litterle threat to our country, to our democracy. You
- 17:11Speaker 2: notice now, by the way, that the White House is
- 17:15Speaker 2: still attacking, trying to get rid of Donald Trump. The
- 17:18Speaker 2: White House Press Secretary now having to answer these questions
- 17:21Speaker 2: about the vitriol from Joe Biden against Donald Trump, the
- 17:24Speaker 2: weaponization of our government against Donald Trump. Because again, they're
- 17:27Speaker 2: not doing this because they're doing their job or they're
- 17:28Speaker 2: do good ors. They're doing this for one reason or
- 17:30Speaker 2: one reason only, and they think even after Saturday that
- 17:33Speaker 2: this is a major problem for him to be on
- 17:36Speaker 2: the ticket, and they want another candidate, even if that
- 17:40Speaker 2: means Kamala Harris. They're desperately trying to get rid of
- 17:45Speaker 2: Joe Biden.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Now take a list to the AP.
- 17:48Speaker 2: Miller is the guy who's asking the question of White
- 17:51Speaker 2: House Preceemeretary Jean Pierre about does the President regret anything
- 17:55Speaker 2: he said about his Republican rival. Now again this is
- 17:59Speaker 2: coming from the ape. They want him out, They want
- 18:02Speaker 2: Biden to step aside, and so they are hammering him
- 18:06Speaker 2: using his own words and the victory all that he
- 18:09Speaker 2: had against Donald Trump.
- 18:10Speaker 9: As the president last night.
- 18:12Speaker 8: That's time for everyone in the flip the space to
- 18:15Speaker 8: toute it down to cob the fliitical rhetoric. Does the
- 18:17Speaker 8: President regret anything that he has said in the course
- 18:20Speaker 8: of this campaign about his Republican rival or anybody else
- 18:24Speaker 8: in the political space. Does he planned to adjust his
- 18:26Speaker 8: rhetoric or was it just to call for other people
- 18:28Speaker 8: they sha?
- 18:28Speaker 10: So I want to just be very clear, and you
- 18:30Speaker 10: know this, I've been asked about anytime there's violence, sadly
- 18:33Speaker 10: that that comes up across the country, we have the
- 18:38Speaker 10: President has always always spoken out forcefully against violence.
- 18:42Speaker 1: Always.
- 18:44Speaker 10: Political violence has no place in America. You've heard the
- 18:46Speaker 10: President say this. He repeated repeated his thoughts in the
- 18:50Speaker 10: Oval address last night. He repeated his thoughts multiple times
- 18:54Speaker 10: before then and obviously throughout his president throughout his entire
- 18:58Speaker 10: throughout his entire career. You want to make sure that
- 19:00Speaker 10: we are not politicizing this right, this moment, it is
- 19:04Speaker 10: not a time to do that. We want to make
- 19:06Speaker 10: sure that we bring Americans together. When you think about
- 19:09Speaker 10: why the president ran in twenty twenty, the cornerstone of
- 19:13Speaker 10: his presidency is uniting this country. Is uniting this country.
- 19:16Speaker 10: And he also said that it is okay to have
- 19:20Speaker 10: disagreements on agendas, it is okay to have disagreements on
- 19:24Speaker 10: character or record, but we cannot have violence in this country.
- 19:29Speaker 10: And that is something that he's going to continue to be.
- 19:32Speaker 11: Very very clear about.
- 19:34Speaker 2: I mean, that's the biggest lie ever. She says the
- 19:36Speaker 2: President's trying to rene the country. He's literally tried to
- 19:39Speaker 2: imprison his political opponent, tried to bankrupt him, and said
- 19:43Speaker 2: he's a literal threat to our democracy. I've read the
- 19:46Speaker 2: tweets over and over and over again of what Joe
- 19:51Speaker 2: Biden has said in his own words, and she sits
- 19:55Speaker 2: there and she says this crap, and I'm sorry, it's crap.
- 19:58Speaker 1: That's what it is. It's crap.
- 20:00Speaker 2: They have not done anything but tried to destroy the
- 20:03Speaker 2: actual life and the family of Donald Trump, and.
- 20:07Speaker 1: You can't rewrite that aspect of history.
- 20:11Speaker 2: I want to also move to this other massive story,
- 20:14Speaker 2: and it is the judge has tossed the Document's case
- 20:18Speaker 2: against Donald Trump.
- 20:20Speaker 1: Jack Smith.
- 20:20Speaker 2: The appointment, they say was not only wrong, it was
- 20:24Speaker 2: literally unconstitutional. This federal judge in Florida throughout the prosecution,
- 20:31Speaker 2: and this was, it's very clear to say, the biggest
- 20:33Speaker 2: threat to Donald Trump. This case. It was a real
- 20:37Speaker 2: threat to him. And this is the biggest threat to
- 20:39Speaker 2: him out of all the court cases. And this federal
- 20:42Speaker 2: judge in Florida throughout the prosecution of the former president
- 20:47Speaker 2: on the document case. Because she ruled that the special
- 20:49Speaker 2: Council and this goes back to the Biden regime. It's
- 20:52Speaker 2: not administration, it's a communist Marxist socialist regime. The regime
- 20:59Speaker 2: that put in the special counsel Jack Smith. They said, no, no,
- 21:07Speaker 2: this case. She said the special counsel had not been
- 21:10Speaker 2: appointed in a constitutional or lawful manner.
- 21:14Speaker 1: The judge Cannon granted.
- 21:17Speaker 2: A defense motion after ruling that Smith, who was not
- 21:21Speaker 2: confirmed by the US Senate and was not a US
- 21:24Speaker 2: attorney when appointed, could not lawfully bring the indictments against
- 21:28Speaker 2: Trump in federal court. And by the way, constitutional scholars
- 21:31Speaker 2: and many of us in the media, conservatives were screaming
- 21:35Speaker 2: about this that they were just making it up as
- 21:38Speaker 2: they went along. How did this even happen? How could
- 21:42Speaker 2: you possibly by the way Donald Trump was screaming this
- 21:44Speaker 2: as well, like.
- 21:45Speaker 1: This is absurd.
- 21:46Speaker 2: You can't just take and randomly decide to put people
- 21:49Speaker 2: in charge of certain things that they have no jurisdiction over,
- 21:52Speaker 2: that they aren't that again, you go through the list.
- 21:55Speaker 2: He wasn't confirmed by the Senate, he was not a
- 21:58Speaker 2: US attorney when appointed. So you can't just weaponize any
- 22:02Speaker 2: random person you decided to to go after and try
- 22:04Speaker 2: to lock up your political opponent, which is exactly what
- 22:07Speaker 2: the Biden regime has done. Now, let's also just talk
- 22:10Speaker 2: about the politics of this for a second, because you
- 22:12Speaker 2: got to understand, Democrats know this was all political from
- 22:15Speaker 2: the very beginning. Rating his house mar Lago was political.
- 22:19Speaker 2: Trying to lock him up was political. Trying to take
- 22:22Speaker 2: his property was political. Trying to have a coup attempt
- 22:26Speaker 2: to overthrow the will of the people was political. When
- 22:28Speaker 2: they teach him the first time, knowing they were impeaching
- 22:30Speaker 2: him on a document they created out of thin air,
- 22:32Speaker 2: that's called framing someone. And at least CNN is like
- 22:37Speaker 2: kind of telling the truth. Mark Preston said this on
- 22:42Speaker 2: CNN about this is quote a huge another huge loss
- 22:45Speaker 2: for Dems, which is him telling you this was all
- 22:48Speaker 2: political from the beginning.
- 22:49Speaker 1: This is not about legal, This is political.
- 22:52Speaker 4: I mean, this is obviously going to send shockwaves through
- 22:56Speaker 4: the convention halls in Milwaukee when people look down at
- 22:59Speaker 4: their phones and see that this very important case has
- 23:02Speaker 4: been tossed out by the judge. MANA, what are you hearing?
- 23:04Speaker 1: Yeah, no question about it.
- 23:05Speaker 12: There's I mean a lot of cheers among the Trump
- 23:07Speaker 12: supporters here and I'm here sitting with my colleague Mark
- 23:11Speaker 12: Preston as we try to assess the significance of this moment.
- 23:15Speaker 12: I mean, look, we came into this election cycle with
- 23:18Speaker 12: Trump facing.
- 23:18Speaker 1: Four criminal charges.
- 23:20Speaker 12: You know, we had the Trump election subversion case, and
- 23:23Speaker 12: the federal level we have the Atlantic case, fulm County case,
- 23:27Speaker 12: another election subversion case, the New York k Hushmanny case
- 23:31Speaker 12: of course that led to the conviction on thirty four
- 23:34Speaker 12: felony accounts. But here La Maarologo case was also seen
- 23:37Speaker 12: as such a significant case of obstruction and mishandling these issues,
- 23:43Speaker 12: and now it's gone in this key political moment.
- 23:45Speaker 6: I mean, it's almost as if Donald Luck has this
- 23:49Speaker 6: lucky rabbit's foot, and as we thought of Donald Luck,
- 23:52Speaker 6: did I say Donald I did?
- 23:53Speaker 7: I mean?
- 23:54Speaker 1: It is Donald Luck right right right?
- 23:55Speaker 6: I mean if you look at all of his wins,
- 23:57Speaker 6: everything that has happened, even the assassination temp on Saturday, like,
- 24:01Speaker 6: he has been able to gain strength from this. And
- 24:04Speaker 6: I do think that again, this is another huge loss
- 24:07Speaker 6: for Democrats right now, because you know, they're looking for
- 24:11Speaker 6: Donald Trump to be taken out, whether it's through the
- 24:13Speaker 6: judicial system or whether it's from the ballot box. You know,
- 24:16Speaker 6: they don't want to see him back in office.
- 24:18Speaker 2: Yeah, Okay, they don't want to see him back in office.
- 24:24Speaker 2: Mark Preston, The classified document indictment is a quote another
- 24:29Speaker 2: huge loss for DIMS.
- 24:31Speaker 1: This was all lawfair from the very beginning.
- 24:34Speaker 2: It always has been lawfair from the very beginning, and
- 24:41Speaker 2: now the courts are saying that is exactly what it is.
- 24:46Speaker 2: It is lawfair from the very beginning. Brett Beher, by
- 24:51Speaker 2: the way, on Fox, who had talked to Donald Trump
- 24:55Speaker 2: about not just this but the VP pick. Here is
- 24:58Speaker 2: what they said on Fox about the residence reaction to
- 25:01Speaker 2: this case being dismissed.
- 25:03Speaker 11: We just got off the phone with a former president
- 25:05Speaker 11: and he said this, I am thrilled that a judge
- 25:11Speaker 11: had the curious, courage and wisdom to do this. This
- 25:15Speaker 11: has big, big implications, not just for this case, but
- 25:19Speaker 11: for other cases. The Special Council worked with everyone to
- 25:23Speaker 11: try to take me down. This is a big, big deal.
- 25:27Speaker 11: It only makes this convention more positive. This will be
- 25:30Speaker 11: an amazing week. He said again and again that this
- 25:36Speaker 11: was a big, big decision. He pointed to Justice Thomas
- 25:39Speaker 11: and the questioning in the Supreme Court on this very
- 25:42Speaker 11: issue about the Special Council, but seemed to indicate that
- 25:46Speaker 11: he thought that this would have implications for other cases.
- 25:51Speaker 11: He did confirm that he's going to make a VP
- 25:54Speaker 11: choice today and he said, Brett, there's other surprises to come.
- 26:00Speaker 11: So I don't know what that thought, Okay, Sophie's I
- 26:02Speaker 11: wanted to get reaction from the former president.
- 26:05Speaker 2: This is I cannot tell you what a significant moment
- 26:10Speaker 2: this is for Donald Trump to have this behind him,
- 26:15Speaker 2: because this was the one case that every legal scholar
- 26:19Speaker 2: said was the biggest threat to him. The other ones
- 26:22Speaker 2: are going to take care of themselves. They're going to
- 26:23Speaker 2: be overturned, many of them that are just absurd.
- 26:27Speaker 1: The cases in New.
- 26:27Speaker 2: York like, I'm not worried about those. I actually don't
- 26:29Speaker 2: think Donald Trump's worried about them. But this one could
- 26:32Speaker 2: have gotten out of hand because of the classified documents
- 26:35Speaker 2: and the radical nature of the prosecution and Jack Smith.
- 26:39Speaker 2: And now Jack Smith has lost all of his power,
- 26:41Speaker 2: meaning Joe Biden has lost all of his power to
- 26:43Speaker 2: come after him, which brings us back to this still
- 26:47Speaker 2: major issue of this assassination attempt on Donald Trump. Joe Biden,
- 26:51Speaker 2: days after the assassination attempt on President Trump, has denied
- 26:56Speaker 2: that he has engaged in rhetoric this just happened. He
- 26:59Speaker 2: just deny that he is engaged in rhetoric that could
- 27:02Speaker 2: incite violence. Also, Joe Biden, in his own words, too much.
- 27:08Speaker 13: Of what's happening in our country today is not normal.
- 27:13Speaker 13: Donald Trump and the Marga Republicans represented extremism that threatens
- 27:19Speaker 13: the very foundations of our republic.
- 27:23Speaker 1: Joe Biden just lied to you.
- 27:26Speaker 2: That's not the only time Joe Biden has said something
- 27:29Speaker 2: that is extreme about Donald Trump to incite violence against him. Again,
- 27:34Speaker 2: days after the assassination timp on President Trump, Joe Biden
- 27:38Speaker 2: quoting is denying that he engaged in rhetoric that could
- 27:40Speaker 2: have incited violence.
- 27:43Speaker 1: I will not yield, I will not flinch.
- 27:45Speaker 13: I will defend the right to vote our democracy against
- 27:48Speaker 13: all enemies for and yes, domestic.
- 27:54Speaker 2: I mean, this is the radical rhetoric of Joe Biden.
- 28:00Speaker 2: I also laughed because he was just asked about JD.
- 28:04Speaker 2: Vance being picked, and this is coming in from the tarmac,
- 28:08Speaker 2: like this is some dig on JD.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Van's This is a hysterical listen, clone.
- 28:12Speaker 14: Trump on the issue, Clone Trump on the issue.
- 28:16Speaker 1: So I'll say different.
- 28:18Speaker 2: Well, good, because your vice president should be a clone
- 28:21Speaker 2: of you on the issues, so that if something happens
- 28:24Speaker 2: to you, you're incapacitated, or what almost happened on Saturday,
- 28:29Speaker 2: then they can continue to fight for the exact same things.
- 28:33Speaker 1: I love that Biden tells the truth that JD.
- 28:35Speaker 2: Vans is a clone of Trump on the issues, Like
- 28:39Speaker 2: that's some knock against him, Like that's a knock. He's
- 28:44Speaker 2: also done this NBC News sit down interview. We're getting excerpts. Now,
- 28:49Speaker 2: this is what again, Joe Biden is having to now
- 28:54Speaker 2: deal with his own words.
- 28:55Speaker 1: The media is still turning him. They still want him gone.
- 28:58Speaker 10: You called your opponent and existial threat.
- 29:01Speaker 1: On a call a.
- 29:01Speaker 10: Week ago, he said it's time to put Trump in
- 29:04Speaker 10: the bullseye.
- 29:05Speaker 4: There's some dispute about the context, but I think you appreciate.
- 29:09Speaker 1: I say crosshairs.
- 29:10Speaker 14: I'm talking to focus on Look, the truth of the
- 29:13Speaker 14: matter was so I guess I was talking about it
- 29:15Speaker 14: as the time was. There's very little focus on Trump's bullseye.
- 29:22Speaker 14: It was a mistake to use I didn't. I didn't
- 29:24Speaker 14: say crosshairs. I've been bulls I'm focus on him, focus
- 29:28Speaker 14: on what he's doing.
- 29:29Speaker 1: That's your excuse.
- 29:30Speaker 2: Now, I didn't say bulls. I said crosshairs. Now you
- 29:33Speaker 2: said bulls eye. I meant to say ross and crosshairs.
- 29:36Speaker 2: The media is turning on him. They're not letting him
- 29:39Speaker 2: off the mat. You understand this, and I think now
- 29:42Speaker 2: they understand that the unless there's lying, stealing, or cheating
- 29:47Speaker 2: or or or what they try to do on Saturday,
- 29:51Speaker 2: Donald Trump is going to be the next president of
- 29:53Speaker 2: the United States of America, and they don't know what
- 29:55Speaker 2: to do now because they do not believe that Joe
- 29:57Speaker 2: Biden can beat him, especially after the estation attempt happened again.
- 30:02Speaker 2: Some of you survived on Saturday. Like I said, we're
- 30:05Speaker 2: gonna be at the convention all week. There's gonna be
- 30:07Speaker 2: a lot more breaking news on this. Make sure you
