- 2:36Speaker 1: I am your host, Rashan McDonald. Want to say this
- 2:38Speaker 1: every week on my episode too. It's time to stop
- 2:42Speaker 1: reading other people's success stories and start writing your own.
- 2:45Speaker 1: People always talking about gifts and passion. If you have
- 2:47Speaker 1: a gift, lead with it and don't let your age, friends, family,
- 2:50Speaker 1: or coworkers stop you from planning or living your dreams.
- 2:53Speaker 1: I interviewed celebrity CEOs, entrepreneurs, and people I like to
- 2:56Speaker 1: call industry decision makers. My guess is Brisca Webb. She
- 3:01Speaker 1: has been named she's one of the people are interviewed
- 3:04Speaker 1: her several about eighteen months ago. You know, Tyler Peris
- 3:07Speaker 1: Netflix filler Fall from Grace, You know what said all
- 3:09Speaker 1: those views on Netflix at the time, and to me,
- 3:13Speaker 1: that's when she first came into my life. You know,
- 3:15Speaker 1: I heard about it, but I've actually got a chance
- 3:17Speaker 1: to interview hers in Houston, Texas. Fantastically currently She can
- 3:21Speaker 1: be seen in a new star series Run the World
- 3:24Speaker 1: as Renee, a walking five cracker, cynicism and in your
- 3:27Speaker 1: face realness. This month, you'd be seen in the next
- 3:30Speaker 1: installment of Mary Little Films for Lifetime. It's called Merry
- 3:33Speaker 1: Little Baby. Brescia stars in this Merry Little Baby appears
- 3:37Speaker 1: as a guest in Sherman. What else she does now?
- 3:40Speaker 1: Because she One thing I learned about her is that
- 3:43Speaker 1: Sherman showcase, HBO's Black Lady comedy s Cat Meet the
- 3:46Speaker 1: Blacks right Along too and at the Devil's Door. But Brecia,
- 3:49Speaker 1: he does not stop. She currently starts her voice on
- 3:53Speaker 1: Housebroken for Fox. But wow, but we're talking about lifetimes
- 3:58Speaker 1: married little Baby, and we've to talk about everything because
- 4:01Speaker 1: when you have a talent like her, they can do voiceover,
- 4:04Speaker 1: do comedy, do drama. She's special. Please work with the
- 4:07Speaker 1: money making conversation. Breach your web. How you doing breach?
- 4:11Speaker 1: Great Rashan, thanks for having me and you residing in
- 4:14Speaker 1: California right now? Huh yes, yes, Baltimore born and raised, Baltimore,
- 4:20Speaker 1: Cratake City. What's the chomp City? They call it Chomp City? Yes,
- 4:27Speaker 1: that little that's the little cynicism, A little sardcast on that,
- 4:32Speaker 1: but Baltimore does. So have you ever thought about doing
- 4:36Speaker 1: stand up comedy? Yes, I do, up, you do. I
- 4:40Speaker 1: didn't know that wasn't your bio. Okay, tell us about
- 4:42Speaker 1: your stand up comedy career because I'm a farmer stand
- 4:45Speaker 1: up so I've always yes, you know, deaf comedy, jambt
- 4:48Speaker 1: comic view, all that performed. You know, I managed Steve Harvey,
- 4:52Speaker 1: so that's how he met you and I met because
- 4:53Speaker 1: he used to be my opening act. That's how Steve
- 4:55Speaker 1: Harvey now. So stand up comforts in my blood. So
- 4:58Speaker 1: tell me about your stand up com in the career
- 5:00Speaker 1: because that's nowhere listed in your bio. So I knew
- 5:03Speaker 1: it was something. That's why I asked, because you're so funny.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Oh little thank you. I mean, I I look at
- 5:08Speaker 1: myself as a full rounded artist. So my dog is
- 5:11Speaker 1: very loud. I have a frenchie and he just came
- 5:13Speaker 1: as soon as it started, and that was a plan.
- 5:20Speaker 1: But yeah, so I mean being you know, I try
- 5:24Speaker 1: to be you know, experimental in my creativity. And so
- 5:30Speaker 1: two of my girlfriends dared me, dared each other to
- 5:33Speaker 1: start doing stand up. Um and I've I've been doing
- 5:37Speaker 1: it for over ten years. I've flowed around with it.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Yeah's something I love to do. I've met Kevin Hart
- 5:44Speaker 1: that way, Mike Gaps, Tiffany Hattrish and I became friends
- 5:48Speaker 1: during stand up and you know, just being really thrust
- 5:51Speaker 1: it into the comedic world. I was I Love that girl.
- 5:54Speaker 1: You know. That was produced by Um Bentley, Kyle Evans,
- 5:58Speaker 1: and Martin Lawrence and so one of the requirements to
- 6:03Speaker 1: play I'm Unique was for me to do stand up.
- 6:05Speaker 1: So that just made me do that even more. But
- 6:09Speaker 1: you know, at the end of the day, I love acting,
- 6:12Speaker 1: you know, like that's the main thing. So to go
- 6:14Speaker 1: on the road and commit to that, it's always something
- 6:16Speaker 1: that I have to always convince me my team. I
- 6:22Speaker 1: gotta give you credit. Now, I was very talented as
- 6:25Speaker 1: a stand up I could not act somehow when you
- 6:28Speaker 1: put the paper in front of me. I did a
- 6:30Speaker 1: couple of films and people said I was good in it,
- 6:32Speaker 1: but I just think I was just playing a role.
- 6:35Speaker 1: It wasn't me. I was. So it's so extreme. But
- 6:38Speaker 1: but the whole process of being able to capture character
- 6:41Speaker 1: because you play so many different characters, how is that
- 6:44Speaker 1: or do you have an acting coach? How do you
- 6:46Speaker 1: pull that off? Well, I've been trained. I went to
- 6:51Speaker 1: Baltimore School for the Arts when I was in high
- 6:53Speaker 1: school and then I graduated from there and went to
- 6:56Speaker 1: California Institute of the Arts. And that's what brought me
- 6:59Speaker 1: to California. So of my degree, right, and so with
- 7:02Speaker 1: that process, So do you do you do? You take
- 7:05Speaker 1: every role as like, for instance, people say they get
- 7:08Speaker 1: they get into the moment. You know, a lot of
- 7:10Speaker 1: your roles are comedic, you know, and like I said,
- 7:12Speaker 1: I met you when we was doing the very popular
- 7:16Speaker 1: Fall from Grace and there was nothing really funny about
- 7:19Speaker 1: that and so so that was major swing from you
- 7:22Speaker 1: being a stand up comedian. How do you balance those
- 7:25Speaker 1: two differences? Well, you know, being a full rounded artist,
- 7:30Speaker 1: you know, that's what I love about training and really
- 7:33Speaker 1: honing your craft. And you know, I've I studied Shakespeare
- 7:39Speaker 1: and absent and check Off along with you know, August Wilson,
- 7:43Speaker 1: along with Edward Albie. You know, you know, you just
- 7:49Speaker 1: gotta learn it all rum and learn how to have
- 7:53Speaker 1: as many you know, things in your toolbox. And then
- 7:56Speaker 1: you know, of course there's God's gift and the favor,
- 7:59Speaker 1: and I was very grateful that, you know, I started
- 8:03Speaker 1: in drama right um, and I was like, you know,
- 8:07Speaker 1: guest star on e er recurring guest star. That was
- 8:10Speaker 1: like one of my first big gigs. I did Grace Anatomy,
- 8:14Speaker 1: so I had lots of like drama stuff under my belt. Uh.
- 8:19Speaker 1: And I was just so grateful that Tyler remembered me
- 8:22Speaker 1: and from Acrimony and think the special for me, which
- 8:26Speaker 1: was also drama Acrimony, and he was like, I wanna
- 8:30Speaker 1: break you into the drama because people don't know all
- 8:32Speaker 1: the things you can do. And I was like, very
- 8:35Speaker 1: grateful for that opportunity. Right when you look, we can
- 8:39Speaker 1: go back a little bit the Fall from Grace, Like
- 8:40Speaker 1: I said, I think it's still one of the you know,
- 8:42Speaker 1: I'm a fan of Tyler Perry. One of the best
- 8:44Speaker 1: Tyler Perry films. You know, the ending I never saw coming.
- 8:49Speaker 1: I was like wow, And I just highly recommended so
- 8:52Speaker 1: many people. I really went on social media crazy about
- 8:55Speaker 1: the movie, just telling everybody to watch it now in
- 8:58Speaker 1: a movie because the reason I really respected that movie
- 9:01Speaker 1: so much because it was on Netflix. It still is
- 9:05Speaker 1: on Netflix, by the way, and it opened in a
- 9:07Speaker 1: hundred and ninety countries and so, which is always frustrated
- 9:11Speaker 1: me by black movies or black film, especially when they're
- 9:14Speaker 1: run by the studios. When they when they premiere them,
- 9:16Speaker 1: they premiere them domestically, and so as a black artist,
- 9:20Speaker 1: you really never get that international growth, that international appeal,
- 9:24Speaker 1: and and that's what all we want to do. We
- 9:26Speaker 1: just want to share our talents with the world. When
- 9:29Speaker 1: that movie, right, when that movie opened at that wide?
- 9:32Speaker 1: Did that did that did that have a major impact
- 9:35Speaker 1: of a major influence on your brand on your social media?
- 9:38Speaker 1: Can you talk about the influence of that movie on
- 9:41Speaker 1: your career as well as being an opening worldwide? Well,
- 9:45Speaker 1: anything attached to the amazing Tyler Perry is a gift
- 9:50Speaker 1: to you know, the culture, to mainstream, to everything. I
- 9:55Speaker 1: was given an opportunity to go on a real press
- 9:58Speaker 1: tour and promote a movie that I was, you know,
- 10:04Speaker 1: passionate about and so honored to be a part of.
- 10:07Speaker 1: I mean, I got to work with Crystal Fox so
- 10:09Speaker 1: that she were shot the Sicily Tyson, you know, May
- 10:13Speaker 1: She Rest in Peace was one of her last you
- 10:16Speaker 1: know it gigs, you know, and I cherished those memories
- 10:20Speaker 1: and that that amazing moment to be on set with
- 10:23Speaker 1: her and so and to do press tours with her
- 10:26Speaker 1: and get to know her and all of them. You know,
- 10:30Speaker 1: so more than anything, you know, the following and people
- 10:34Speaker 1: really just loving the movie. I cherish the opportunity to
- 10:38Speaker 1: sit with queens and kings, you know, and cherished that
- 10:42Speaker 1: time to just be a fly on the wall with
- 10:46Speaker 1: all of these grades and to be looked at and
- 10:49Speaker 1: to be ushered into greatness. Um, very just grateful for
- 10:55Speaker 1: that full opportunity, in that full circle moment to grow
- 10:58Speaker 1: up looking and you know, watching the plays on TV
- 11:02Speaker 1: on Sunday and then to be starring and one was
- 11:07Speaker 1: just incredible. So like everything that comes out of that
- 11:11Speaker 1: is just icing on the cake, right. We know, I
- 11:14Speaker 1: have to be complimentary of you because you're such a
- 11:16Speaker 1: natural and uh and it's a joy for me to
- 11:20Speaker 1: be able to finally just put your spotlight on you
- 11:23Speaker 1: because that was an ensemble interview that I had. I
- 11:25Speaker 1: got one of two questions in with you. When I
- 11:28Speaker 1: look at the body of work, you know, there are
- 11:30Speaker 1: very few actors or actresses are that are doing what
- 11:33Speaker 1: you're doing. I'm talking about voice over, you know, we're
- 11:36Speaker 1: talking about drama. We're talking about comma comedy now stand
- 11:40Speaker 1: up comedy, not only just sitcom or comedy related productions. Now,
- 11:45Speaker 1: let's talk to before I get to the to the
- 11:48Speaker 1: Run the World. How did that come about? And Uh,
- 11:51Speaker 1: what's your character? I'm in the world, Oh, Renee Renee Ross. Uh,
- 11:58Speaker 1: amazing series created by Lee Davenport executive produced in our
- 12:05Speaker 1: showrunner Yvette Lee Bowser from Living Single and so many
- 12:09Speaker 1: amazing great television that she's been a part of it
- 12:12Speaker 1: and has created. You know, they came together and created
- 12:16Speaker 1: this amazing woman forward TV show. Uh. You know, I
- 12:21Speaker 1: would always be able to watch Sex in the City
- 12:23Speaker 1: and see, you know, see myself and ask aspire to
- 12:27Speaker 1: be like those women, to live sexy and independently and
- 12:33Speaker 1: fearlessly in New York and never really seeing a black
- 12:36Speaker 1: woman do that and not apologize for being a strong woman.
- 12:40Speaker 1: And uh that you know that she had fashion since
- 12:48Speaker 1: all those things. It was very aspirational. So that's what
- 12:52Speaker 1: gravitated me towards the characters that you know, even though
- 12:56Speaker 1: Renee Ross is married and going through her divorce, she's
- 13:00Speaker 1: still fabulous and she doesn't apologize for who she is.
- 13:05Speaker 1: You know, all the things that she is even if
- 13:07Speaker 1: people don't get it. You know, she's successful. Uh, she
- 13:11Speaker 1: stands up for herself. Um, she's kind of she's a
- 13:15Speaker 1: loose cannon. She's a lot like myself. You know, she's
- 13:19Speaker 1: a tourist. You know. So I've never read something off
- 13:21Speaker 1: the page that just identified with me being a strong
- 13:26Speaker 1: black woman, but also not leading with strong, also showing
- 13:29Speaker 1: that I'm soft and also showing that I'm beautiful and
- 13:32Speaker 1: sexy and I'm fearless, but I still need to be
- 13:36Speaker 1: held and I have great friends that hold you up.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Like all the things that I have with my girlfriends
- 13:41Speaker 1: was reflecting into this series. So it's just four best
- 13:44Speaker 1: friends that are navigating their life through New York, um,
- 13:49Speaker 1: not apologizing for who they are and where they come from,
- 13:53Speaker 1: and are taking over the world. That's why it's called
- 13:56Speaker 1: run the World. We'll be right back with more money
- 13:58Speaker 1: making conversations with you start our lifeties and married, little
- 14:01Speaker 1: Christmas Baby. It's finally here, the season of celebration. And
- 14:07Speaker 1: no matter how you celebrate with family and friends, whether

- 14:38Speaker 1: and under Armour. And in the spirit of giving, Coals

- 14:46Speaker 1: committed to the health and well being of our communities.
- 14:49Speaker 1: No matter how you celebrate, when you shop at Coal's,
- 14:52Speaker 1: you're right where you belong. So this season, give with
- 14:55Speaker 1: all your heart with great gifts from Coals or Coals

- 15:01Speaker 1: true magic of a forest. It's a storybook world for them.
- 15:05Speaker 1: You look and see a tree. They see the wrinkled
- 15:08Speaker 1: face of a wizard with arms outstretched to the sky.
- 15:12Speaker 1: They see treasure in pebbles, They see a windy path
- 15:15Speaker 1: that could lead to adventure, and they see you. They're fearless. Guide.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Is this fascinating world? Find a forest near you and
- 15:23Speaker 1: start exploring. I Discover the Forest dot Org, brought to
- 15:26Speaker 1: you by the United States Forest Service and the AD Council.
- 15:30Speaker 1: What grows in the forest trees? Sure, No. What else
- 15:34Speaker 1: grows in the forest, Our imagination, our sense of wonder,
- 15:38Speaker 1: and our family bonds grow too, because when we disconnect
- 15:41Speaker 1: from this and connect with this, we reconnect with each other.
- 15:48Speaker 1: The forest is closer than you think. Find a forest
- 15:51Speaker 1: near you and start exploring. I Discover the Forest dot Org,
- 15:55Speaker 1: brought to you by the United States Forest Service and
- 15:58Speaker 1: the AD Council. This is ra Sean McDonald. Welcome back
- 16:02Speaker 1: to money making Conversations as I continue my conversation with
- 16:06Speaker 1: the Star of Life Times and Merry Little Christmas Baby, Rischia. Well,
- 16:10Speaker 1: you know, the interesting thing about it is that I've
- 16:12Speaker 1: been fortunate to see I started writing sitcoms in ninety
- 16:15Speaker 1: two on ABC and and just seeing characters they were
- 16:19Speaker 1: just written for comedy, but just wasn't written from a
- 16:22Speaker 1: realistic standpoint. And and fortunately I've survived that whole reality
- 16:27Speaker 1: with black women were just throwing bottles each other and
- 16:29Speaker 1: cursing and fighting. That was just the image of that.
- 16:32Speaker 1: And then the Ray came out with Insecure, which allowed
- 16:36Speaker 1: us for the first time to see two black females
- 16:39Speaker 1: stories being told and then I see run the World.
- 16:42Speaker 1: It must be good as a black actress to be
- 16:45Speaker 1: able to have content now that feels real, that feels relevant,
- 16:49Speaker 1: but also feels like that like that. I mean, there
- 16:52Speaker 1: was Girlfriends, there were other shows that paved the way
- 16:56Speaker 1: for us to do what we're doing living single like
- 17:00Speaker 1: you know, this is just a single camera way of
- 17:02Speaker 1: showing life being you know, lived, and that we're so
- 17:06Speaker 1: relatable other cultures, like we're just trying to get through life,
- 17:11Speaker 1: you know, and deal with all of the things that
- 17:15Speaker 1: come with it. You know, we're living successfully in Harlem,
- 17:19Speaker 1: you know. And what does that mean? And how does
- 17:22Speaker 1: that look? What looks now is what's happening in a
- 17:25Speaker 1: lifetime in the series that you have done. Mary Little
- 17:28Speaker 1: Films on Lifetime, Mary Little Babies a very Christmas movie.
- 17:32Speaker 1: I I know Kelly Rowland looked very well from Houston,
- 17:35Speaker 1: Texas when when she was doing with Disney Child and
- 17:38Speaker 1: just seeing that character developed out always I'm gonna tell you,
- 17:41Speaker 1: I'm a big Christmas love I guess I get. I
- 17:45Speaker 1: love Christmas movie. I can't get enough of it. Love
- 17:47Speaker 1: this movie. You should watch all three of them. I'm
- 17:50Speaker 1: gonna just tell you this. I love this movie. I'm
- 17:53Speaker 1: just going I really you know, you know that all
- 17:56Speaker 1: y'all look great, the children look fantastic, that lovable um there.
- 18:02Speaker 1: There's just certain moments of cuteness that just makes me smile.
- 18:07Speaker 1: You know, the you know, the whole relationship that you
- 18:09Speaker 1: have and your son, and the young man who plays
- 18:12Speaker 1: your son. I believe in him so much that he
- 18:16Speaker 1: really is your son. And so when you have an
- 18:19Speaker 1: unsemble cast, it's all about chemistry. So talk about that chemistry.
- 18:23Speaker 1: And you know who the guy who played your father
- 18:26Speaker 1: who could actually play basketball? I mean you could actually
- 18:29Speaker 1: hoo could? I would like this guy can play real Chris.
- 18:37Speaker 1: I know he's in basketball, like his daughter's basketball. Like
- 18:41Speaker 1: he can like he goes to tournaments and all kinds
- 18:44Speaker 1: of for real, he could hoop. I was like, okay,
- 18:47Speaker 1: I lost a couple of that. That is what they do. Okay,
- 18:51Speaker 1: pretty bad could actually loot and then uh but but
- 18:55Speaker 1: when you have an ensemble that makes me smile and
- 18:57Speaker 1: just seeing you know, just black people looking good on
- 19:00Speaker 1: TV and looking successful and having great storylines please right right,
- 19:07Speaker 1: And that's all I was just saying about I want
- 19:09Speaker 1: more of that. You know what, when I talk about
- 19:11Speaker 1: the researchers are insecure and I see or run the world,
- 19:14Speaker 1: I'm talking, I always want more. I want I want
- 19:17Speaker 1: shot to rhyme just the owner the world. I won't
- 19:19Speaker 1: even doing the just to run the world because I
- 19:22Speaker 1: have six sisters, you know, and I grew up in
- 19:24Speaker 1: a family of strong black women, and when I all
- 19:27Speaker 1: my life, half my life, I saw their stories not
- 19:30Speaker 1: being told correctly. When I see stories that you know
- 19:33Speaker 1: that that are being put out there by black women,
- 19:36Speaker 1: directed by black women, produced by black women, written by
- 19:39Speaker 1: black women, that's powerful. Not just saying that that that
- 19:43Speaker 1: it has to be done that way, but at least
- 19:44Speaker 1: give it a shot. And so I see this series
- 19:48Speaker 1: being put out there and you're part of it. Talk
- 19:50Speaker 1: about the chemistry and what makes this series so special,
- 19:54Speaker 1: which right now is very little baby, what would be
- 19:57Speaker 1: premier in this month which is no where absolutely Well, First,
- 20:02Speaker 1: before I talk about I have to talk about the
- 20:04Speaker 1: amazing Kelly Rowland. A lot of people don't know how
- 20:07Speaker 1: much she is influenced in this project. She's the producer,
- 20:13Speaker 1: you know, she's starring in it, She's doing everything she's
- 20:17Speaker 1: wearing all the hats, she's in costume and she's everywhere.
- 20:20Speaker 1: Um and so much of that makes the chemistry of
- 20:25Speaker 1: where we were, where we started, and how we come
- 20:28Speaker 1: to set to make sure and we do this in Vancouver, Canada,
- 20:33Speaker 1: um or there's not a lot of black people. Wait
- 20:40Speaker 1: Tonto to get the black people when you send them
- 20:45Speaker 1: to Vancouver if need be, but they have a few
- 20:47Speaker 1: and we've you know, and it's been great. We've created
- 20:50Speaker 1: our own family because this is our third installment and uh,
- 20:57Speaker 1: Kelly has really set the bar of how we how
- 21:00Speaker 1: we are with each other. She created that family, you know,
- 21:04Speaker 1: that family dynamic from day one. It was great chemistry.
- 21:07Speaker 1: The casting that she did was all just love, you know,
- 21:12Speaker 1: and she put so much of our heart in it,
- 21:14Speaker 1: which makes us put so much of our heart in it.
- 21:17Speaker 1: You know. Um, we have Debbie Morrigan, you know, we
- 21:21Speaker 1: have you know, these incredible people that have lend their
- 21:25Speaker 1: talent and gifts to this film. And you know, she's
- 21:28Speaker 1: made sure that there's people of color, mainly people of
- 21:31Speaker 1: color behind the scenes, always made sure that there has
- 21:35Speaker 1: been a female director you know, um, women of color
- 21:40Speaker 1: who are producing you know, like it's very important to
- 21:44Speaker 1: Kelly if she's going to be a part of it,
- 21:46Speaker 1: that it it changes people's opinion about how black productions
- 21:52Speaker 1: are run. Well. I think that when you know, being
- 21:55Speaker 1: a guy who's seen it and been knowing Kelly from
- 21:58Speaker 1: Big Cally like years old. When I brought on stage
- 22:02Speaker 1: is early years, I was thinking one of the first
- 22:05Speaker 1: people who brought on stage as along with Beyonce and
- 22:08Speaker 1: UH introduced him to the world as performing acts. And
- 22:12Speaker 1: I remember several years ago I pitched her along with
- 22:15Speaker 1: NBC sitcom starring her, so I know her talents, fair work.
- 22:23Speaker 1: I have always been just watching her, I go, I've
- 22:27Speaker 1: always so much more. You know that she's going to
- 22:29Speaker 1: bring to the table because the nuances of acting just
- 22:33Speaker 1: so special. And it feels like you guys are really
- 22:36Speaker 1: sisters in this series. It feels like I feel the
- 22:41Speaker 1: the aints you know, of the relationship issues that you
- 22:44Speaker 1: have of being a sister, trying to do good for
- 22:46Speaker 1: a sister, trying to still be your mom to your son,
- 22:50Speaker 1: as well as trying to engage in another relationship and
- 22:53Speaker 1: move forward. All those are natural paths that that can
- 22:57Speaker 1: only be done if you're comfortable with that material one
- 23:01Speaker 1: and then also feelized that this is something that you
- 23:04Speaker 1: want to put out there with the general public, tell
- 23:06Speaker 1: everybody about your character. Let's break that down a little
- 23:08Speaker 1: bit right quick. Okay, Well, Kira a Little is um
- 23:13Speaker 1: the younger sister, and she takes all fine. By the way,
- 23:20Speaker 1: all I'm fine, by the way they find they find
- 23:23Speaker 1: got out to my baby sister. Right, No, she's younger
- 23:28Speaker 1: than me, but you know, but like all the sisters,
- 23:31Speaker 1: but you know, we we really love each other. Disaster,
- 23:37Speaker 1: by the way she supposed she didn't do something she
- 23:39Speaker 1: was supposed to do for the little that's the thing,
- 23:43Speaker 1: and all of the merry littles. You see, Kira just
- 23:47Speaker 1: train right, you know, the last the last one for
- 23:51Speaker 1: the wedding. She threw up the wedding, she burned the dress.
- 23:55Speaker 1: You just cannot get it together. She had one role, right,
- 24:00Speaker 1: get that one done. And this one was hard because
- 24:02Speaker 1: I identified with her. I was like, yo, she's just
- 24:06Speaker 1: trying to get this done and everything is against her
- 24:09Speaker 1: and she had to depend on like everybody just comes
- 24:12Speaker 1: and saves the day again and she's just like yeah,
- 24:18Speaker 1: you know, and so I mean care a little is
- 24:22Speaker 1: like that little sister you love to hate, but you
- 24:25Speaker 1: can't hate because you can't hate because you're trying so hard.
- 24:29Speaker 1: You're trying so hard to do right, to do right.
- 24:33Speaker 1: I wanted her to try a little hard, but really
- 24:36Speaker 1: try hard hard. But you know that the thing I
- 24:39Speaker 1: like about you is that you're trying hard as a
- 24:42Speaker 1: as a ball, trying hard in a relationship that you
- 24:46Speaker 1: want to last. And then this serious relationship will go further.
- 24:49Speaker 1: I won't give away any lass and we can't do that,
- 24:54Speaker 1: you know, because they won't let me any of you
- 24:56Speaker 1: anymore if I blow it. But the beauty of it
- 24:59Speaker 1: is that you make me smile, Breacha Webb, you know.
- 25:03Speaker 1: And I think that is important that I tell you that,
- 25:06Speaker 1: because I get to see a lot I've been fortunate
- 25:08Speaker 1: in my life. I got this. I've seen a lot
- 25:10Speaker 1: of you know, people who matured, and there's always another
- 25:14Speaker 1: wave of talent that problems. And you own that wave,
- 25:17Speaker 1: and you're on that next passage and your own excuse me,
- 25:20Speaker 1: you already on it. You know you're just about to
- 25:24Speaker 1: ascend it to another opportunity because you can do all
- 25:27Speaker 1: of you varsover you and that a lot of people
- 25:30Speaker 1: understand how hard it is for a black person to
- 25:32Speaker 1: break in the voice over, let it alone, do it,
- 25:35Speaker 1: and you're doing it successfully. A lot of people don't
- 25:38Speaker 1: understand when I look at your resume. You know, like
- 25:40Speaker 1: I said, believe me, the shows I mentioned are only
- 25:43Speaker 1: part of it. We would get tired if I just
- 25:45Speaker 1: start going down the list of it. And I only
- 25:47Speaker 1: say that in a complimentary manner. You will get tired
- 25:49Speaker 1: because you want to resume like that. But in this series,
- 25:53Speaker 1: Married Little Baby, which is own Lifetimes Lifetime series novem
- 25:56Speaker 1: between and seven, it will be premier and it's a
- 25:58Speaker 1: movie you have to watch. If you have to say
- 26:00Speaker 1: anything about your character, anything about the family that I
- 26:03Speaker 1: love to death, Why would you tell people to watch
- 26:06Speaker 1: this other than the fact that you're starting and it
- 26:08Speaker 1: did you wonderful. And Kelly Rowland as a good friend
- 26:11Speaker 1: of mine from Houston, Texas and she's amazing this user
- 26:13Speaker 1: and the cast is fantastic and Pops can hoop like
- 26:16Speaker 1: a T League basketball player. Talk tell us. I mean,
- 26:22Speaker 1: watch this movie if you want to be a fly
- 26:26Speaker 1: on the wall and see a family full of love,
- 26:29Speaker 1: tell a beautiful story about Christmas love. Well, I'm a
- 26:33Speaker 1: big Christmas guy. And the foods in the movie the people.
- 26:37Speaker 1: We make sure that our culture was accounting for and
- 26:42Speaker 1: stay to the end, and stay to the end of
- 26:44Speaker 1: the movie. They got a great they got some great
- 26:46Speaker 1: little photos that they shows. I'll take so I should
- 26:49Speaker 1: uses I haven't even seen it. All I was saying
- 26:55Speaker 1: is that when you start watching this movie hanging there
- 26:58Speaker 1: all the way through, you're gonna laugh, gonna cry. You know.
- 27:01Speaker 1: The sister is uh so many. Each one of the
- 27:05Speaker 1: sisters has a a good personal crisis. That's the beauty
- 27:10Speaker 1: of this this particular one. Each one has a personal crisis.
- 27:14Speaker 1: You know, it's not about the wedding not being pulled
- 27:16Speaker 1: off with in their life. They're about to introduce something
- 27:19Speaker 1: that's going to be unique and change their lives. And
- 27:22Speaker 1: that's the storyline for this particular episode of Mary Little Baby,
- 27:26Speaker 1: with emphasis on baby. It's great. I'm recommending all my
- 27:29Speaker 1: friends to watch it and appreciate. Thank you for taking
- 27:32Speaker 1: the time to allow me to interview you in your
- 27:35Speaker 1: in your realm, your home, your kingdom of Los Angeles
- 27:38Speaker 1: where you're dominating and become the big star that you're
- 27:41Speaker 1: supposed to be. Thank you so much, thanks for having me.
- 27:44Speaker 1: And I should also promote this other film that's coming
- 27:48Speaker 1: out on own I believe in December. It's called Long
- 27:52Speaker 1: and Story Amazing Grace. Okay, what can I bring you
- 27:56Speaker 1: back for that? How about that? Because I have a relationships. Okay,
- 27:58Speaker 1: since we have a relationship, now I'll bring you back
- 28:01Speaker 1: for that. It's in December, right, yes, yeah, because you're like,

- 28:08Speaker 1: we're gonna really focus on married Little Baby, and I
- 28:10Speaker 1: bring you back in December to promote their own projects.
- 28:16Speaker 1: Like I said, you know once I once somebody gets
- 28:18Speaker 1: on my radar like you, and I go wow, whatever
- 28:21Speaker 1: I can do, whatever gifts to God enabled me to do,
- 28:24Speaker 1: to be able to push your talent like you like
- 28:26Speaker 1: you to the forefront, I'm doing it. Child. So what
- 28:29Speaker 1: do you want to or not Roushan McDonald's in your life.
- 28:32Speaker 1: And that's a good thing. By the way, that's a
- 28:33Speaker 1: good thing. You know. I'm grateful. Thank you so much
- 28:36Speaker 1: for Sean. I really appreciate it. Okay, we're talking December,
- 28:39Speaker 1: but more importantly, tell them to give me social media
- 28:42Speaker 1: banners and all that stuf I can put on my
- 28:43Speaker 1: social media. Okay, because I'm pretty popular. I got like
- 28:46Speaker 1: a million followers. I got pretty popular social media. Okay,
- 28:49Speaker 1: you're saying to my followers, a female, by the way,
- 28:51Speaker 1: they love me. They thank you, and I love you,
- 28:56Speaker 1: appreciate you. Bye bye, thank you. We will be right

- 31:22Speaker 1: with twenty five dollars in her pocket. When I initially started,
- 31:26Speaker 1: I started with maybe about twenty five dollars and some change.
- 31:29Speaker 1: So I literally went to UM. Once I've decided that
- 31:32Speaker 1: I wanted to do a pancake mix. I just went
- 31:35Speaker 1: to like a Michael's or some type of store like that,
- 31:37Speaker 1: I don't remember exactly, and got like a bunch of
- 31:41Speaker 1: like packaging like I was already prepared, like canisters and
- 31:44Speaker 1: things like that, and I just started sending those out
- 31:47Speaker 1: to family, to friends, UM just to see if you know,
- 31:50Speaker 1: I thought I had something, but I wanted to see
- 31:52Speaker 1: kind of what the feedback would be from other people.
- 31:55Speaker 1: So you developed the mix in your kitchen. I did.

- 33:17Speaker 1: Mona Scott y'all, welcome to my show. Mona, Hello, Hello,
- 33:21Speaker 1: are you? First of all you spectacular? I mean, just
- 33:24Speaker 1: let you know that I've been a fan, and you
- 33:26Speaker 1: know I've been around some people, Mona, but you special girl.
- 33:29Speaker 1: How where does it come saying that? Thank you so much? Well?
- 33:33Speaker 1: You know, we we we we we we missed it
- 33:35Speaker 1: several times on press junk my time wouldn't let me go.
- 33:39Speaker 1: When I was managing Steve Harvey, I believe you've been
- 33:41Speaker 1: done set up some interviews when he was when I
- 33:43Speaker 1: was over that managing him on the CT Harvy Morning Show.
- 33:46Speaker 1: But all along the process of developing your brand, Uh
- 33:51Speaker 1: what what? What has pushed you? What is driving you
- 33:53Speaker 1: to the success you know, it's so funny. It's so
- 33:57Speaker 1: much of what you said at that at the top
- 33:59Speaker 1: of the show, the things that you say setting up
- 34:01Speaker 1: the show resonated for me because one of the biggest
- 34:04Speaker 1: things that drives me is stepping into my gift. I
- 34:07Speaker 1: talk about it all the time. Right, It's almost like
- 34:09Speaker 1: you have a responsibility when you've been given certain skills
- 34:13Speaker 1: to live up to that potential. A lot of us don't,
- 34:16Speaker 1: A lot of us coast, a lot of us just
- 34:18Speaker 1: take it for granted. But I do feel a responsibility,
- 34:21Speaker 1: whether it's because of you know, watching my mom who
- 34:24Speaker 1: didn't have much accomplished what she was able to accomplish,
- 34:27Speaker 1: knowing that I have so much more that has been
- 34:30Speaker 1: given to me that I've been blessed with. It's a
- 34:33Speaker 1: sense of I need to operate and deliver at my
- 34:38Speaker 1: fullest potential at all times. So I never know what
- 34:41Speaker 1: that's gonna mean, how that's gonna translate, what that's going
- 34:44Speaker 1: to result in, but I know that whatever it is,
- 34:48Speaker 1: I better show up and show out. Well you do,
- 34:51Speaker 1: and that's that's the beauty of of you know. And
- 34:54Speaker 1: like I said, I've had an interesting career a sitcom writer,
- 34:57Speaker 1: you know, a producer, executive. Been fortunate with me some
- 35:01Speaker 1: Emmies and Image Awards, all these things, you know, I
- 35:05Speaker 1: know what important to me, and sometimes I trivialize them
- 35:07Speaker 1: because you know, you're on the grind all the time.
- 35:10Speaker 1: You know what I'm talking about. You just want to
- 35:11Speaker 1: get that next, especially when you're in African American. You know,
- 35:15Speaker 1: you know that there's no guarantees, you know, because their relationship.
- 35:18Speaker 1: You gotta keep moving, keep it moving. But you know
- 35:20Speaker 1: what I've been thinking about a lot, Risaan lately, just
- 35:22Speaker 1: the need to sit still for a minute and to
- 35:24Speaker 1: appreciate who you are right now in the moment. And
- 35:27Speaker 1: it's not about I mean complacent. It's about taking stock
- 35:31Speaker 1: and showing yourself appreciation right for what you published, and
- 35:35Speaker 1: then using that to propel you to the next stage.
- 35:38Speaker 1: Because a lot of times, like you said, we'll go, go, go, go, go,
- 35:41Speaker 1: that we don't stop to really recognize where we've come from,
- 35:45Speaker 1: where we are in the moment, and how we can
- 35:47Speaker 1: take all of that experience knowledge, know how you know,
- 35:52Speaker 1: and and use it as we move forward. You know,
- 35:55Speaker 1: I just I love hearing that from your mona because
- 35:58Speaker 1: of the fact that you know I bought a building
- 35:59Speaker 1: in Atlanta and so and for the first time, you know,
- 36:02Speaker 1: I've been on I've been on you know, leaching in
- 36:04Speaker 1: various spaces. I've been on production lots and all that
- 36:08Speaker 1: Hollywood have in New York. So it's always you know,
- 36:11Speaker 1: at the end of that production deal, I had to
- 36:13Speaker 1: pick up my my trophies or my paintings and think
- 36:15Speaker 1: about the wall. And so this was the first time
- 36:17Speaker 1: I olaus to put stuff I knew wasn't gonna leave.
- 36:20Speaker 1: And I really that's what That's what you're talking about,
- 36:23Speaker 1: you know, stopping and seeing and I and I and
- 36:26Speaker 1: I and my wife said, you love going off I
- 36:29Speaker 1: look because I really get to see my life being
- 36:31Speaker 1: played out and show and your life plays out on
- 36:35Speaker 1: a daily basis on TV, your rewards. And that's really
- 36:40Speaker 1: interesting because I know that when I have people tell
- 36:42Speaker 1: me about Rashan because I've I wrote, you know, such
- 36:45Speaker 1: a Sister, the Boo Nigue to Jamie Fox and all this,
- 36:48Speaker 1: and people go, I see those shows on Netflix all
- 36:50Speaker 1: the time. That makes me feel good. How do you
- 36:53Speaker 1: feel when people talk about your work to you or
- 36:57Speaker 1: you just hear people or the reactions on your the
- 37:00Speaker 1: ratings and the social media reaction. How does that make
- 37:03Speaker 1: you feel, Mona. You know, it's funny because it goes
- 37:07Speaker 1: back to that stopping to take stock and to show
- 37:10Speaker 1: self appreciation. But I'd like to think that my accomplishments
- 37:14Speaker 1: are reflected in the work that I do. Right, Like yesterday,
- 37:17Speaker 1: the amazing honor of standing on that stage, you know,
- 37:20Speaker 1: on Hollywood Boulevard and and being part of Missy's induction
- 37:24Speaker 1: ceremony as she was given her star on the Hollywood
- 37:27Speaker 1: Walk of Fame, And in that moment, it just all
- 37:30Speaker 1: came flooding back that very first time I poked my
- 37:33Speaker 1: head into the backseat of that limo when I faced
- 37:36Speaker 1: me her when he's something plus years ago, and she said, oh,
- 37:40Speaker 1: I don't I don't need a manager. I'm not looking
- 37:42Speaker 1: for a manager. And to fast forward and think that,
- 37:45Speaker 1: you know, I've had the ability to impact her life
- 37:49Speaker 1: in a way that has maybe in some portion, way,
- 37:51Speaker 1: shape or form, right impacted what she has delivered to
- 37:55Speaker 1: the world and the people that that has touched. And
- 37:57Speaker 1: it's the whole idea that mike contribution to her life
- 38:02Speaker 1: has impacted, you know, millions of people globally that I
- 38:06Speaker 1: will never lay eyes on, never even see that. For
- 38:09Speaker 1: me is the gratification, that is the accomplishment that that
- 38:14Speaker 1: I think about when I think about what my life
- 38:16Speaker 1: has been. Of course, my children and seeing you know,
- 38:19Speaker 1: what they are accomplishing now in their lives and what
- 38:22Speaker 1: they're gonna be God knows what. But I'd like to
- 38:25Speaker 1: think that when I see my daughter putting her foot
- 38:27Speaker 1: down or you know, pushing back on something, or when
- 38:30Speaker 1: I see my son going hard and making sure that
- 38:33Speaker 1: he's you know, delivering on his own expectations for himself,
- 38:38Speaker 1: I see a reflection of me and what I've contributed
- 38:40Speaker 1: to their lives. So for me, that's the biggest, right,
- 38:43Speaker 1: the biggest uh accolade, I guess, if I had to
- 38:47Speaker 1: find the right word, it's seeing how the impact that
- 38:49Speaker 1: I've had on others and on their lives um has
- 38:52Speaker 1: come you know, full circle when it's out there now
- 38:55Speaker 1: for the world's experience. We know the beauty of why
- 38:57Speaker 1: I mentioned the thing. You know, we started with the
- 38:59Speaker 1: word talent manager, and so she knows this for a fact.
- 39:02Speaker 1: A lot of times she was missing you know, Steve Harvey, uh,
- 39:06Speaker 1: Steven A. Smith and other people. I've been fortunate to
- 39:09Speaker 1: say they put, you know, trust in my direction and
- 39:13Speaker 1: so but sometimes you can be limited by what people
- 39:16Speaker 1: think of you as to manage you or that's her,
- 39:19Speaker 1: that's her girl, or that's her boy, you know, and
- 39:21Speaker 1: they don't realize that you can do more. That's why
- 39:24Speaker 1: it's important for me to say the words executive producer
- 39:26Speaker 1: when I say Mona Scott y'all. That's why it's important
- 39:28Speaker 1: for me. You said published Arthur when I say Monuscott Young.
- 39:31Speaker 1: That's why it's important for me to say CEO and
- 39:32Speaker 1: found up moaning me Entertainment and Mona Me Productions. That's
- 39:36Speaker 1: why it's important for me to say, you know, love
- 39:38Speaker 1: and hip hop because she's more than what you expect
- 39:42Speaker 1: and what she's been, and she's fought through what I've
- 39:44Speaker 1: talked about. She's leading with her gifts and showing you
- 39:48Speaker 1: she's more than what you think and in some ways
- 39:51Speaker 1: she's seeing some of her all expectations. And that's the
- 39:54Speaker 1: beauty of being you correct and listen the ability now
- 39:59Speaker 1: to hopefully right have the impact that I've had listen
- 40:06Speaker 1: with a completely different audience right this show, it's in Spanguish,
- 40:11Speaker 1: it's around a Latin superstar who has millions and millions
- 40:15Speaker 1: of fans and followers and people who adore her globally.
- 40:20Speaker 1: So here was an opportunity for me to tell her
- 40:22Speaker 1: story and to do it on a massive platform like
- 40:25Speaker 1: Amazon Prime. Those are major accomplishments and strides for not
- 40:30Speaker 1: only my company, but for me as a producer as well.
- 40:33Speaker 1: So it's constantly about growth and this show is, you know,
- 40:37Speaker 1: a one more growth experience in my career. And I
- 40:40Speaker 1: think people are going to see a completely different kind
- 40:44Speaker 1: of programming that um, I think they will respond well to.
- 40:47Speaker 1: There's something joyful about the show, their lives, everything that
- 40:51Speaker 1: they're sharing about their lives, and it's a story of
- 40:54Speaker 1: women empowerment and the stories of a struggle of an
- 40:56Speaker 1: artist making it against all odds, and that's some thing
- 41:00Speaker 1: I personally can relate to. We'll be right back with
- 41:02Speaker 1: more money Making Conversation where the ward winning Multimedia Maverick
- 41:05Speaker 1: Talent Manager Executive Producer Arthur Mona Scott y'all, Hi everyone,
- 41:11Speaker 1: I'll Rooker here as a guy with his own catchphrase,
- 41:14Speaker 1: I appreciate that Smokey's only said only you can prevent wildfires,
- 41:18Speaker 1: But I'm filling in because there's a lot more to report,
- 41:21Speaker 1: like when they're parched or windy conditions out there. You
- 41:24Speaker 1: gotta be extra careful with things like burning yard wage.
- 41:28Speaker 1: After all, wildfires can start anywhere, even in your neck
- 41:32Speaker 1: of the woods. Go to Smokey Bear dot com to
- 41:34Speaker 1: learn more about wildfire prevention. Brought to you by the U. S.
- 41:37Speaker 1: Forest Service, your state Forester, and the AD Council. What
- 41:41Speaker 1: grows in the forest trees, Sure you know what else
- 41:45Speaker 1: grows in the forest, Our imagination, a sense of wonder,
- 41:49Speaker 1: and our family bonds grow too, because when we disconnect
- 41:52Speaker 1: from this and connect with this, we reconnect with each other.
- 42:00Speaker 1: The forest is closer than you think. Find a forest
- 42:02Speaker 1: near you and start exploring. I discover the Forest dot org,
- 42:06Speaker 1: brought to you by the United States Forest Service and
- 42:09Speaker 1: the AD Council. This is Rashan McDonald. Welcome back to
- 42:13Speaker 1: money making Conversations. As I can trague my conversations with
- 42:17Speaker 1: award winning multimedia Maverick talent manager, executive producer and author
- 42:22Speaker 1: Mona's Got Young. I've been fortunate, uh too, but I've
- 42:25Speaker 1: seen the series. Okay, and I'm from Houston, Texas. Okay,
- 42:28Speaker 1: so from text Max and from Selina Country. Okay, and
- 42:33Speaker 1: and that's a company. When I say this, because I
- 42:35Speaker 1: have not seen the artists that i've I've loved as
- 42:38Speaker 1: much as I loved what she's trying to do as
- 42:41Speaker 1: a woman empowered herself making decisions. And also the show
- 42:45Speaker 1: is like in Spanglish in other words, you know, they'll
- 42:48Speaker 1: be talking Spanish and all of a sudden you see
- 42:51Speaker 1: subtitles come up there and you're very comfortable. I'm very comfortable.
- 42:54Speaker 1: I'm like I was slide between spanglers in the in
- 43:01Speaker 1: the in the subtitles and was flawing with your shore.
- 43:04Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. Now, I'm going like, come on, girl,
- 43:07Speaker 1: Me and you ain't never met, but I was proud
- 43:09Speaker 1: of you. Said this is smooth right there because of
- 43:11Speaker 1: the fact that I you you. This is what this
- 43:15Speaker 1: is important to where I get excited when I see
- 43:16Speaker 1: new program and it's death beyond the norm. And also
- 43:19Speaker 1: it's not stereotypical. Here's a young lady. Her name is
- 43:23Speaker 1: Noddy Natasha. She's from the Dominican Republic. She came over
- 43:26Speaker 1: here first hitting twenty twelve. Okay, went nowhere, struggling no
- 43:31Speaker 1: place to stay, then rapid came into life in somebody,
- 43:36Speaker 1: and that's why in this world, you always gotta have
- 43:38Speaker 1: somebody who believes in you, even as you don't. Like
- 43:41Speaker 1: she said, she saw, she saw you know, like I said,
- 43:43Speaker 1: I saw Steve Harvey before he did death Comedy. Jam. Okay,
- 43:47Speaker 1: you know she saw Mitchi. Mitchi said, I don't need you,
- 43:50Speaker 1: but she saw, she saw, it said, hanging out with me.
- 43:53Speaker 1: I see a little bit more. Now in this you
- 43:56Speaker 1: get the major global superstar and she's trusting you because
- 44:01Speaker 1: she wants to cross over. Tell us about that story, mom. Yeah,
- 44:06Speaker 1: it was interesting because they were so clear about, you know,
- 44:10Speaker 1: what they represent in the Latin market and wanting the
- 44:13Speaker 1: world to understand that she has dreams and she wants
- 44:15Speaker 1: to grow and she wants to be bigger. But it
- 44:17Speaker 1: wasn't about leaving her audience behind and all of a
- 44:20Speaker 1: sudden wanting to be this you know u s artist.
- 44:23Speaker 1: It was more about how do I continue to grow
- 44:26Speaker 1: and bring my music to a bigger audience, bring my
- 44:30Speaker 1: you know, Latin culture to a bigger audience. Make sure
- 44:34Speaker 1: that everyone in all parts of the world understand the
- 44:37Speaker 1: beauty of who I am, what my story is. You know,
- 44:40Speaker 1: She's very proud about being you know, a first uh
- 44:43Speaker 1: generation immigrant and everything that she had to go through
- 44:46Speaker 1: to get to where she was. And it was about
- 44:48Speaker 1: bringing that story, that Latin immigrant story to a broader
- 44:52Speaker 1: audience and to bring into the world. And you know,
- 44:55Speaker 1: for me again always excited about breaking new barriers and
- 45:00Speaker 1: and thank you so much for acknowledging that. You know,
- 45:03Speaker 1: this was an opportunity for me, who has you know,
- 45:06Speaker 1: been doing content firmly in you know, the African American space,
- 45:11Speaker 1: been in hip hop for a very long time, to
- 45:13Speaker 1: move into Latin music, to move into a global Latin audience,
- 45:17Speaker 1: to tell the story of a Latin you know, superstar
- 45:21Speaker 1: on the rise. But what I love about that is
- 45:24Speaker 1: full of the elements of that story, the struggle, the love,
- 45:28Speaker 1: the triumphs, the adversities. Those are universal themes that language.
- 45:34Speaker 1: You know, there are no barriers to that. And I
- 45:37Speaker 1: hope that when people watch it, what they take away
- 45:40Speaker 1: from it is the story, the experiences, that the joy
- 45:44Speaker 1: of watching someone who is so open and vulnerable just
- 45:48Speaker 1: succeed at what they've set out to do. Well, you know,
- 45:50Speaker 1: the thing that this is the thing that I enjoy,
- 45:53Speaker 1: you know, because we all know there's been a journey
- 45:55Speaker 1: with what reality shows and raality shows me all about
- 45:59Speaker 1: content drip, and this is a content driven reality show,
- 46:02Speaker 1: which means that she's taking the elements of their life
- 46:04Speaker 1: and sharing it, but moving into a creative format where
- 46:08Speaker 1: is entertaining. So she's not creating contrived moments. That's important
- 46:12Speaker 1: to know about this. What's what's secondly important to know
- 46:14Speaker 1: about this is that Naughty and Ralphie don't want to
- 46:17Speaker 1: lose their Spanish base. They said, look, we want to
- 46:20Speaker 1: cross over, but we cannot cross over. And the reason
- 46:24Speaker 1: I said that's important because that's where the spankless Spanglish
- 46:27Speaker 1: comes in, because if they did the show entirely English,
- 46:31Speaker 1: that means they would have sold long to their base.
- 46:33Speaker 1: And so they're talking English and being there they're just
- 46:36Speaker 1: started right there talk start talking Spanish right in the
- 46:38Speaker 1: middle of English, and and you know, of a sudden,
- 46:41Speaker 1: the subtitles are dropped right Underneathan and then all of
- 46:43Speaker 1: a sudden they started, imagine my life be in the
- 46:46Speaker 1: midst of that producing that for money, I would be yes,
- 46:54Speaker 1: Spanish English and right you know, so I had a
- 47:01Speaker 1: chance to perspect to perfect my Spanish as well. So
- 47:04Speaker 1: that was about my God and I prother perspective for it.
- 47:06Speaker 1: But I'm just saying to everybody, is that is that
- 47:09Speaker 1: this is an adventure, and lifestyle is an adventure, and
- 47:13Speaker 1: uh enjoying another culture, it's also an adventure to let
- 47:17Speaker 1: you know how other cultures are simulate into America, how
- 47:21Speaker 1: they still communicate, how they can slide between the two
- 47:24Speaker 1: cultures from an English and a Spanish perspective, and it
- 47:28Speaker 1: all feels very natural. Because when I say that, is
- 47:30Speaker 1: that you know that what what? What? What? Always gets
- 47:32Speaker 1: to me With Mona shows you know she would get
- 47:34Speaker 1: people in bed even they'd be talking like that at
- 47:37Speaker 1: at the dinner table. I've yet to figure out how
- 47:39Speaker 1: she's crafted that skilled I'm talking about don't defunct bad talking.
- 47:43Speaker 1: They just talking like little dog running around in bed
- 47:46Speaker 1: and all that stuff. They'd be just talking normal. I'm
- 47:48Speaker 1: trying to figure out, Mona, how did you figure out
- 47:51Speaker 1: that skilled? Where did you get that skilled to get
- 47:53Speaker 1: people be talking like and at the dinner table. I
- 47:57Speaker 1: credit my years of being a man manager of my
- 48:01Speaker 1: ability get talented comfortable. When you got the camera's it
- 48:07Speaker 1: falls away. But I will say that was one of
- 48:10Speaker 1: the first sheet scenes we ever shot with them. So
- 48:13Speaker 1: to their credit, they were just like I said, all
- 48:16Speaker 1: I need you guys to do is be yourself. Whatever
- 48:19Speaker 1: you do, allow us to be here with just flying
- 48:22Speaker 1: the wall, and they you know, we're comfortable immediately. But
- 48:26Speaker 1: I think it's just about people trusting and they know that,
- 48:29Speaker 1: you know we're here to tell your story. Nobody's gonna
- 48:35Speaker 1: be coming out the consent. You need to stop right
- 48:39Speaker 1: now and no nobody. I'm gonna use the word do
- 48:41Speaker 1: what she do? Okay, I've seen reality short. She gets everybody.
- 48:46Speaker 1: It's like because they're not acting okay, they in bad
- 48:49Speaker 1: and I'm not just damn to show what she do.
- 48:51Speaker 1: They'd be in bad just talking normal, like eating chicken whatever,
- 48:55Speaker 1: you know, watching click. It's like, you get it. That's
- 48:58Speaker 1: a skill, and that's a skill that I was calling
- 49:00Speaker 1: when I called those who shan I call those scenes
- 49:02Speaker 1: my pillow dog. You have your most intimate discussions, think
- 49:08Speaker 1: about it, just significant other, let your guard down for
- 49:11Speaker 1: the day, in your pajamas, and you guys are just
- 49:15Speaker 1: talking about the day, life, the future. So that's for me,
- 49:18Speaker 1: that's always a great setting because that's where people have
- 49:21Speaker 1: their life conversations. Well, you know, because we're not the
- 49:25Speaker 1: beauty of our conversation. I'm happy with her is that
- 49:28Speaker 1: I'm telling you this series, but I'm not really give
- 49:30Speaker 1: away little details that I need to not say because
- 49:33Speaker 1: I want you to watch the series. But again, this series,
- 49:37Speaker 1: I would be honest with you. I didn't know Noddy
- 49:40Speaker 1: before this series. I want to know more about her.
- 49:43Speaker 1: I love her music. Uh. The man she's in love with, Ralphie,
- 49:49Speaker 1: is a guy that I would sit out and hang
- 49:51Speaker 1: out where. He's an ordinary looking guy. He met her
- 49:54Speaker 1: when he was chubby, like he said, now now he's
- 49:57Speaker 1: killing it. He's killing it now, you know. And and
- 50:00Speaker 1: upcoming episodes. You know, it's about being treated like an immigrant,
- 50:04Speaker 1: like she said, working without a green card and trying
- 50:07Speaker 1: to survive. And this is what this is, like you
- 50:09Speaker 1: said it earlier, is about an empowerment series. It's about
- 50:12Speaker 1: watching too a couple share their relationship with the world
- 50:17Speaker 1: and also seeing how the world reacts to it. Being
- 50:19Speaker 1: nervous about sharing it, but it's an honest story. I
- 50:22Speaker 1: want to thank you for doing this, and I want
- 50:24Speaker 1: to thank you and let you know I'm a champion
- 50:27Speaker 1: of your brand and I am honoring my friend. I
- 50:30Speaker 1: am honored my friend to know that you are are
- 50:34Speaker 1: who you are and this is just what Sean mcdonn't
- 50:37Speaker 1: tell you you're bees girl, and that's a compliment. Listen
- 50:42Speaker 1: be smode is my modes absolutely delightful. Any of you.
- 50:48Speaker 1: Thank you so much because I feel like you are
- 50:52Speaker 1: sincere and you care and I always appreciate that when
- 50:55Speaker 1: sitting across with someone, So thank you very much and
- 50:58Speaker 1: the support means everything. I'm excited. Did it not record?
- 51:03Speaker 1: Record toon on Amazon? Everybody Loves Not by the brilliant
- 51:07Speaker 1: executive producer Mona Scott Young coming on watch it y'all.

- 51:48Speaker 1: Denise Williams. She provides advice on how to overcome the
- 51:51Speaker 1: fear of getting into the very saturated industry. And they're
- 51:54Speaker 1: so focused on the fact that there are so many
- 51:57Speaker 1: people in their industry. They're over a hundred thousand ages
- 52:00Speaker 1: in the state of Georgia. If I was worried about
- 52:03Speaker 1: the hundred thousand plus agents that were in a state

- 52:08Speaker 1: right now. And so one of the things that I
