- 0:45Speaker 4: Yeah, joy?
- 0:53Speaker 7: They have.
- 0:59Speaker 8: You got to do that? You love?
- 1:13Speaker 1: Turn you gotta turn.
- 1:31Speaker 4: I got to turn the mouth. The turn you probably
- 1:43Speaker 4: got to turn the mouth.
- 1:45Speaker 1: The turn out a wad then up looking.
- 1:55Speaker 9: Come come on, you'll think, uh huh. I sure, well,
- 2:03Speaker 9: good morning everybody.
- 2:04Speaker 10: You're listening to the voice, Come on, dig me now,
- 2:08Speaker 10: one and only Steve Harley got a radio show. You
- 2:11Speaker 10: know this week I just been on it, so today
- 2:15Speaker 10: is no different. I'm telling you, I've just reinvigorated myself.
- 2:19Speaker 10: I'm more determined to share the principles of success. I'm
- 2:24Speaker 10: more determined to help and guide and teach as many
- 2:29Speaker 10: people as I can the things that I've learned.
- 2:32Speaker 9: And I mean, man, I've been through it. I have
- 2:34Speaker 9: really been through it. I kid you not.
- 2:36Speaker 8: You know.
- 2:36Speaker 10: I used to say, Okay, God, you know, why is
- 2:39Speaker 10: all this happening to me? But as I've gotten older,
- 2:42Speaker 10: I understand that was the ingredients. I needed the ingredients
- 2:47Speaker 10: to be this cake. I needed all those ingredients.
- 2:50Speaker 9: Stirred up.
- 2:51Speaker 10: I need all of that different flavors, the stuff that
- 2:54Speaker 10: I didn't think tastes so good. All that stuff had
- 2:57Speaker 10: to come into the bowl in order for me to
- 2:59Speaker 10: get to where I am today. As much as I
- 3:03Speaker 10: did not like the taste of the ingredients, little did
- 3:07Speaker 10: I know God was making this cake, not me. But
- 3:11Speaker 10: what he did was And you've heard the old saying
- 3:14Speaker 10: God could turn lemons into lemonade.
- 3:18Speaker 9: Well that's what he was doing now.
- 3:20Speaker 10: At the time, it all had a little funky lemonade
- 3:24Speaker 10: lemony flavor to it, with some other stuff in it too.
- 3:28Speaker 9: I didn't care for it.
- 3:30Speaker 10: But little did I know that I needed everything that
- 3:33Speaker 10: happened to me, that happened to me in the exact
- 3:35Speaker 10: order that it happened, and the exact array of things
- 3:39Speaker 10: that happened for me to have the knowledge I have today,
- 3:42Speaker 10: the experience, the attitude, so I could turn around and
- 3:48Speaker 10: share that information. Okay, got that out the way. This
- 3:52Speaker 10: is what I want to give to you today. I
- 3:55Speaker 10: want you to understand something that discipline determines your destiny
- 4:00Speaker 10: to me, not your desire. Discipline determines your destiny, not
- 4:07Speaker 10: your desire. You've heard me say this how many times.
- 4:10Speaker 11: On the show.
- 4:10Speaker 10: Okay, here we go, Agains Steve, I got it. Faith
- 4:14Speaker 10: without works is dead. But let me tell you something.
- 4:18Speaker 10: To be a hard worker, you got to be disciplined.
- 4:21Speaker 10: That's one of the hardest lessons I'm trying to get
- 4:23Speaker 10: through to my sons. You're gonna throw yourself down a
- 4:27Speaker 10: cliff if you're not a young man or a man
- 4:30Speaker 10: that possesses discipline. Because they got something for undisciplined people.
- 4:35Speaker 10: They got some street laws for undisciplined people, and they
- 4:39Speaker 10: got some federal laws and state laws for undisciplined people.
- 4:43Speaker 10: So that's why them signs is outside on the freeway,
- 4:46Speaker 10: were gonna let you go fast. But seventy is the limit.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Seventy fast enough.
- 4:51Speaker 10: Really, if you're disciplined enough of a person to leave
- 4:55Speaker 10: your house at the time you're supposed to leave.
- 4:57Speaker 9: Your house, seventy miles per hour is absolutely enough.
- 5:01Speaker 10: But if you're an undisciplined person, if you don't have
- 5:04Speaker 10: the wherewithal to leave your house on time, to get
- 5:08Speaker 10: ready to go where you wanna go, see the desires
- 5:11Speaker 10: where you wanna go. The discipline is how you get there.
- 5:15Speaker 10: You understand you can wanna go to see your family
- 5:19Speaker 10: in California all you want, But the flight leaves at
- 5:23Speaker 10: one eighteen. You leave your house at twelve thirty. They
- 5:27Speaker 10: told you you must check in one hour before your flight. Now,
- 5:32Speaker 10: if you ain't got the discipline to get to the
- 5:35Speaker 10: airport to check in one hour before your flight, leaving
- 5:39Speaker 10: your house forty five minutes before the flight departs.
- 5:42Speaker 9: What you think gonna happen?
- 5:43Speaker 10: Your desire to go see your family in la is
- 5:47Speaker 10: going to be thwarted because you lack the discipline to
- 5:52Speaker 10: prepare yourself and get yourself ready to do the things
- 5:55Speaker 10: that you have to do to make your desires come true.
- 5:59Speaker 10: I'm telling you discipline determines your destiny, not your desire.
- 6:04Speaker 10: You can write down a list of stuff you wanna
- 6:06Speaker 10: do all day, but if you don't produce and show
- 6:09Speaker 10: the discipline necessary to get there, what you think gonna happen?
- 6:14Speaker 1: Huh?
- 6:15Speaker 9: Okay?
- 6:16Speaker 10: I wanna be rich, Okay, I wanna make four hundred
- 6:20Speaker 10: thousand a year. Okay, I wanna be the best player
- 6:25Speaker 10: that they is. Okay, but you don't want practice. See
- 6:29Speaker 10: the cat that's disciplined enough to show up at practice
- 6:32Speaker 10: that's shooting jumpers when everybody gone home. That's the guy
- 6:35Speaker 10: that's gonna be the best. The guy that's never late
- 6:38Speaker 10: for practice, the guy to study the playbook. That's the
- 6:41Speaker 10: guy that's gonna make it, not the guy that's talking crack,
- 6:45Speaker 10: got stalking that smack. I'm gonna make the Pro Bowl,
- 6:47Speaker 10: I'm gonna make the All Star Team. I'm gonna be
- 6:49Speaker 10: All American. That's just what you're saying. But discipline determines
- 6:54Speaker 10: your destiny, not your desire. So now let's talk about
- 6:58Speaker 10: this discipline. Is that really, Steve.
- 7:01Speaker 9: That's your work ethic, that's your hunger, that's your will.
- 7:06Speaker 10: Discipline is how hard you're willing to demonstrate the attributes
- 7:13Speaker 10: and the traits to be what you want to be.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Did you hear me?
- 7:19Speaker 10: It is your willingness to conduct yourself in a manner
- 7:23Speaker 10: that is above and beyond what they say is necessary.
- 7:28Speaker 9: Now, this is a good example right here.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Now.
- 7:31Speaker 10: You can wanna be in the NFL all you want,
- 7:33Speaker 10: but they got this thing called the NFL Combines where
- 7:37Speaker 10: they bring in some of the top players at every
- 7:39Speaker 10: position to come in and they gonna run a forty
- 7:42Speaker 10: yard dash, They're gonna do a standing broad jump, They're
- 7:47Speaker 10: gonna do a standing vertical leap.
- 7:51Speaker 9: They gonna do drills, running drills, cutting drills.
- 7:55Speaker 10: They can determine if a linebacker got stiff hips by
- 7:59Speaker 10: making him Backpa'll point him in one direction and throw
- 8:01Speaker 10: the football in another direction.
- 8:03Speaker 9: How does he turn his body?
- 8:05Speaker 10: Now you can say you can tell everybody at your
- 8:07Speaker 10: college you want to play pro football. You can tell
- 8:09Speaker 10: everybody at your high school. You can tell them in
- 8:11Speaker 10: Pee Wee you wanna play pro football. But they got
- 8:13Speaker 10: tests for you though. It's called the combines. Now you
- 8:17Speaker 10: get out here and you have a bad combine day,
- 8:19Speaker 10: ain't nobody trying to hear that. Let me tell you
- 8:22Speaker 10: how excuses don't work with people when they just trying
- 8:24Speaker 10: to get when they trying to win in the NFL.
- 8:27Speaker 9: The fact that you had a bad day at the.
- 8:29Speaker 10: Combine and you don't run your best forties and you
- 8:33Speaker 10: keep telling them you could do better, they don't want
- 8:35Speaker 10: to hear that. Because see, what ain't nobody gonna pay
- 8:37Speaker 10: you for is to play on Sunday. And that's one
- 8:40Speaker 10: of your bad days. We paying you to play on Sundays.
- 8:44Speaker 9: But because you keep having these bad days, because.
- 8:48Speaker 10: You ain't disciplined enough, to put in the work to
- 8:51Speaker 10: make sure that your maximum can be called upon at
- 8:53Speaker 10: any time.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Now you at to.
- 8:55Speaker 10: Combine with some slow times that go on your record.
- 9:00Speaker 10: I'm buying you don't jump as high as you did
- 9:01Speaker 10: when you was at the gym class. Well, hold up, man,
- 9:04Speaker 10: this is show day now in the NFL, Sunday is
- 9:08Speaker 10: show day. What they can't run the risk of is
- 9:11Speaker 10: paying you your money and your bad day happen to
- 9:13Speaker 10: be on Sundays. After we don't cut your check. No, no, no,
- 9:17Speaker 10: We looking for people who limit them bad days, who
- 9:20Speaker 10: got the discipline to work hard, to make an effort
- 9:23Speaker 10: for it. You understand what I'm saying to your folks,
- 9:26Speaker 10: Please understand this. Discipline determines your destiny, not your desire.
- 9:32Speaker 10: If you can want it all you want, But if
- 9:34Speaker 10: you ain't working, if you ain't grinding, if you ain't hurting,
- 9:39Speaker 10: if you ain't sweating real bad, if you always somewhere,
- 9:43Speaker 10: got to chill, you got to have a cold, one,
- 9:46Speaker 10: you got to smoke one, You got to do all
- 9:48Speaker 10: them things.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Can I tell you something you ain't.
- 9:51Speaker 9: Gonna make it. Discipline determines your destiny, not your desire.
- 9:57Speaker 2: You're listening.
- 9:59Speaker 7: Morning show, Wake up, wake up, wake up, come on,

- 28:50Speaker 13: Money?
- 28:51Speaker 12: All right, good luck, Brielle. Coming up at the top
- 28:54Speaker 12: of the hour, we'll have some entertainment news for a.
- 28:56Speaker 2: You right after this. You're listening.
- 28:59Speaker 6: Morning show.
- 29:02Speaker 12: In trending entertainment news, singer Jill Scott's version of the
- 29:06Speaker 12: Star Spangled Banner made headlines after she performed at last
- 29:10Speaker 12: week's Essence Music Festival. Jill's version of the Star Spangled
- 29:13Speaker 12: Banner referred to our blackness in America by changing the
- 29:17Speaker 12: lyrics to check this out, guys, osey can you see
- 29:22Speaker 12: by the blood in the streets? This place doesn't smile
- 29:25Speaker 12: on you, colored child whose blood built this land with
- 29:29Speaker 12: sweat and their hands, but will die in this place
- 29:33Speaker 12: and your memory erased? O say does this truth hold
- 29:37Speaker 12: any weight? This is not the land of the free,
- 29:40Speaker 12: but the home of the slaves.
- 29:43Speaker 9: Yeah, I'm sorry.
- 29:44Speaker 2: Wow she changed that? Did she did that?
- 29:46Speaker 15: Yeah?
- 29:47Speaker 12: Many many people, many many people. Yeah, commended Jill for
- 29:52Speaker 12: this version. She wrote this many years ago, but others
- 29:55Speaker 12: were angered by her decision to use the anthem to
- 29:58Speaker 12: express a critical view of America. Republican Representative Lauren Bobert
- 30:03Speaker 12: of Colorado tweeted, quote, no one should use the national
- 30:06Speaker 12: anthem to express their hatred for America. Too many men
- 30:09Speaker 12: and women have sacrificed their lives for our great nation.
- 30:12Speaker 12: To tolerate this shameful Yeah, that's what she said in
- 30:17Speaker 12: her lyrics. Yes, you know, ma'am. Yeah, racism is shameful.
- 30:21Speaker 12: What are you talking about? Yeah, that's how she feels,
- 30:28Speaker 12: you know.
- 30:29Speaker 9: I think that was the best place to sing it.
- 30:37Speaker 2: Supposed to be free. I bet you we understood it.
- 30:40Speaker 2: I bet you. That's why many people commended Jill for
- 30:44Speaker 2: doing that.
- 30:45Speaker 3: In other essence, News representative right, uh, Clarence Supreme Court
- 30:50Speaker 3: Justice Clarence Thomas's fast weekend? Did you write him to
- 30:55Speaker 3: since we're talking about what's going on?
- 30:57Speaker 2: Of course not? Yeah, okay?
- 31:00Speaker 12: In case you want to write her, it's Republican representative
- 31:03Speaker 12: Lauren Bobert of Colorado, Okay, and other news on ess Infest.
- 31:08Speaker 12: Many Essensfest attendees that have been going to the event
- 31:12Speaker 12: since the nineties took to social media to say that
- 31:15Speaker 12: Essensvest's attempts to marry old and new performances on one
- 31:18Speaker 12: stage unsuccessful. Most notably, Janelle Money and Meghan the Stallion
- 31:24Speaker 12: faced criticism after they had what was called overly sexual performances.
- 31:30Speaker 12: Janelle was on stage flashing her boob, it was covered
- 31:34Speaker 12: by a pasty. Then Megan, you know, she does what
- 31:37Speaker 12: she does. She was twerking, she was using profanity. It
- 31:40Speaker 12: created a clear audience divide. India Irie was vocal about it,
- 31:44Speaker 12: saying that we need to do better. So we got
- 31:47Speaker 12: twerking and cousin and showing booths.
- 31:49Speaker 2: And you know, I don't have no pub with Jail.
- 31:52Speaker 2: I don't have no you're going to see him.
- 31:57Speaker 11: No. I hosted.
- 31:57Speaker 7: I hosted Essence for seven years. Essence is supposed to
- 32:02Speaker 7: be classic. I'm sorry, that's just that's the way I
- 32:04Speaker 7: look at it. But every time I was there, I
- 32:06Speaker 7: saw clatin Now, I ain't gonna lie I took my
- 32:08Speaker 7: mama one year, Janney Jackson drug somebody across the stag
- 32:12Speaker 7: with some whips and change, and my mama was out.
- 32:14Speaker 11: So there is a line you got to draw somewhere
- 32:17Speaker 11: say though it was baby, baby, baby, Mama can't, Mama
- 32:21Speaker 11: can't do this here, Mama gonna go into the casino.
- 32:23Speaker 7: Mama can't, Mama can't, I can't, I can't. This man
- 32:26Speaker 7: across this line, Yeah, yeah, she gonna sit down the
- 32:34Speaker 7: quarter my mama. But what your mom said, Jenned and
- 32:41Speaker 7: drug this man across the stage? Mama out, baby, I
- 32:44Speaker 7: can't do it. Well. So I think there's a classiciness.
- 32:48Speaker 7: I think there's a classicness that essence is always upheld.
- 32:51Speaker 7: So maybe you know, uh, the little what do you
- 32:54Speaker 7: call it? You call that wretchedness?

- 35:54Speaker 12: and female contestants. When Tommy, you already sent one of
- 35:58Speaker 12: the ladies home already.
- 36:00Speaker 2: That's what you do on the very first one. I
- 36:02Speaker 2: always say, can't you give them me?
- 36:04Speaker 7: I know you gotta jump it off if you got
- 36:07Speaker 7: to get into it, if you hey, if you're not
- 36:09Speaker 7: being open, if you're not pressing it, baby, somebody gotta
- 36:12Speaker 7: go now.
- 36:13Speaker 12: I will say, I will say for the ladies, I
- 36:15Speaker 12: thought you were gonna send what was her name to Tequila.
- 36:19Speaker 12: I thought you were going to send her home, the one,
- 36:21Speaker 12: the lady in the black body fitting dress.
- 36:23Speaker 2: I thought you were going to send her home. But
- 36:25Speaker 2: you sent the other lady home.
- 36:27Speaker 7: Y'all, y'all, just wake up more weeks to Quilla got
- 36:29Speaker 7: something for y'all, y'all, just hold on.
- 36:32Speaker 9: She got something for you. Pardon one of them.
- 36:35Speaker 1: She from South Dallas.
- 36:36Speaker 2: She from open.
- 36:37Speaker 13: I don't know what, but she ain't why not playing
- 36:41Speaker 13: Pleasant Grove, Pleasant Grove.
- 36:44Speaker 2: That's why I thought you were going to send her home.
- 36:45Speaker 2: But she's good TV though.
- 36:47Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 36:48Speaker 11: The most important thing, Shirty, did I look fat? That's
- 36:50Speaker 11: all I want to know.
- 36:52Speaker 12: Look, well, I'm going to say this. I'm going to
- 36:54Speaker 12: say this to answer your question. I loved you in
- 36:57Speaker 12: the Red. I loved you and Sred. Does that answer
- 36:59Speaker 12: your question?
- 36:59Speaker 8: Thank you?
- 37:00Speaker 11: Yes, I'm good. Thank you. That really didn't answer it.
- 37:03Speaker 11: But okay, I could have been fat in the Red.
- 37:06Speaker 9: I'm just saying.
- 37:08Speaker 2: The color was beautiful. It was a vibrant on the screen.
- 37:12Speaker 12: One of the men will be sent home on this
- 37:13Speaker 12: week's episode, and so tell me tell us a little.
- 37:17Speaker 2: More about the Dallas crew without giving anything away.
- 37:19Speaker 7: You know what, So, I don't know if you realize
- 37:21Speaker 7: that we started with nine men, nine women. Okay, so so,
- 37:26Speaker 7: and we just sent one home. So so as we
- 37:28Speaker 7: get give me, like a couple more weeks, we're gonna
- 37:30Speaker 7: throw I'm gonna throw a curveball and bring in another
- 37:34Speaker 7: lady and another man.
- 37:36Speaker 2: So we got I got the curve balls coming, okay, okay,
- 37:39Speaker 2: all right, place one.
- 37:41Speaker 7: So what I like about it is people start getting
- 37:43Speaker 7: acquainted and they think they done figured out who they
- 37:45Speaker 7: want and who they like, and then you throw somebody
- 37:47Speaker 7: else in and it just messes everything.
- 37:49Speaker 2: Up, you know what I'm saying. Okay, keep you on
- 37:52Speaker 2: your toes.
- 37:52Speaker 4: M hm.
- 37:54Speaker 3: Now the woman that got sent home, what was her name? Anyway,
- 37:58Speaker 3: I knew they was gonna send her home. She was
- 38:00Speaker 3: to the man and he told her his father passed,
- 38:03Speaker 3: and she she put her dogs down.
- 38:05Speaker 11: I was like, see right there.
- 38:08Speaker 1: He was so upset by that.
- 38:10Speaker 8: He was like.
- 38:12Speaker 2: Nothing.
- 38:14Speaker 11: Yeah, I'm voting you all.
- 38:16Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 38:16Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 38:16Speaker 1: I was like, oh, she gotta go. She sho somebody.
- 38:20Speaker 1: Oh yeah, and then she said, kept drinking, drinking hard.
- 38:24Speaker 11: It looks like empathy whatsoever?
- 38:27Speaker 1: Yeah, no, empathy, sympathy nothing.
- 38:29Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 38:29Speaker 2: It looks like this season is gonna be fun though.
- 38:31Speaker 15: Huh.
- 38:32Speaker 7: Like they all be fun, lots of twisting turns. Y'all
- 38:35Speaker 7: gonna love it, I promise you.
- 38:36Speaker 2: And no, you did not look fat all right?
- 38:40Speaker 12: Coming up in thirty four minutes after the hour, a
- 38:42Speaker 12: tweet from Keiki Palmer's boyfriend has Kiki and Usher trending
- 38:47Speaker 12: big time.
- 38:48Speaker 2: Her man was mad, No.
- 38:50Speaker 11: That's right, keep on here, keep on, let keep on here.
- 38:54Speaker 2: Won't get into it right after this, you're listening.
- 39:00Speaker 12: Show, Okay, So Kiki Palmer posted a video of herself
- 39:05Speaker 12: having the time of her life at an Usher concert.
- 39:09Speaker 12: In the video, she's seen wearing a sheer dress sheer
- 39:12Speaker 12: you know, see through, with the black bodysuit underneath. It
- 39:16Speaker 12: was the outfit that sparked all kinds of controversy. It
- 39:19Speaker 12: spiraled out of control.
- 39:20Speaker 15: Now.
- 39:20Speaker 12: Kiki's boyfriend and the father of her child, Darius Jackson,
- 39:24Speaker 12: took to Twitter and he shared his thoughts on what
- 39:27Speaker 12: Kiki had on He said, it's the outfit though you
- 39:31Speaker 12: a mom. The post caught fans attention and sparked lots
- 39:34Speaker 12: of comments and backlash toward Darius. He kept on tweeting,
- 39:38Speaker 12: following it up with we live in a generation where
- 39:41Speaker 12: a man of the family doesn't want the wife and
- 39:43Speaker 12: mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks.
- 39:46Speaker 2: I should let you say that, Carla.
- 39:48Speaker 12: Come, I got it booty cheeks, not like the way
- 39:51Speaker 12: Carla says booty cheek.
- 39:57Speaker 1: She had that show how booty.
- 40:05Speaker 2: Nobody says it like you, Carla.
- 40:09Speaker 12: Showcase booty cheeks to please others and he gets told
- 40:13Speaker 12: how much.
- 40:13Speaker 11: Of a hater he is.
- 40:15Speaker 12: Well, this only enraged Kiki's fans and feminists more so,
- 40:19Speaker 12: here's the question.
- 40:19Speaker 2: Guys, you saw Kikey's video with us. Sure it was trending.
- 40:24Speaker 12: So should ki Ky's boyfriend have waited until she got
- 40:27Speaker 12: home from Vegas to address this?
- 40:30Speaker 1: What do you think?
- 40:31Speaker 4: Absolutely?
- 40:32Speaker 1: Yeah, you up here tweeting family your thoughts.
- 40:37Speaker 11: Yeah, I don't think I can hold it. I came
- 40:41Speaker 11: hold I got it, so you would tweet it, make
- 40:45Speaker 11: a flight to Vegas exactly? But I'm texting Jackie immediate.
- 40:50Speaker 11: What the hell you got on?
- 40:51Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 40:53Speaker 12: Let me put you know that saying that your parents
- 40:55Speaker 12: used to say, you get something, you show out where
- 40:57Speaker 12: you get something, Remember that saying you show for.
- 41:00Speaker 11: Your children, that's for your children.
- 41:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 41:02Speaker 12: But but he I think he put it on a
- 41:04Speaker 12: public forum because she went public. That's why I think
- 41:07Speaker 12: he did it.
- 41:08Speaker 2: Yes, he should have. She got home.
- 41:10Speaker 4: We just found out.
- 41:11Speaker 2: We just found out your name was Darius. We didn't
- 41:13Speaker 2: even know your name. We just found out.
- 41:17Speaker 11: Okay, we knew Keiki.
- 41:18Speaker 2: We just found out your day with Derek because you
- 41:20Speaker 2: were just baby daddy a minute ago.
- 41:23Speaker 11: We got right to be upset.
- 41:27Speaker 16: Yeah, he got ready to be upset. But you the boyfriend,
- 41:30Speaker 16: see you can say this stuff of you a husband. Hey,
- 41:34Speaker 16: go ahead, man up.
- 41:36Speaker 2: Yeah, she just had a kid not too long ago, right,
- 41:41Speaker 2: go ahead, Carla.
- 41:42Speaker 1: So you're saying he can say it because if he's husband, boy, he.
- 41:50Speaker 2: Can your boyfriend.
- 41:51Speaker 16: That's like Tommy just said, I wish Jackie would. That's
- 41:54Speaker 16: her husband, father.
- 41:57Speaker 5: Her child, and he cannot tweet out publicly, publicly looking
- 42:07Speaker 5: like I want to be.
- 42:15Speaker 4: Behind home.
- 42:17Speaker 12: I think the reason he put it on because she
- 42:20Speaker 12: was doing it publicly, That's what I think.
- 42:22Speaker 2: That's why he did it. She was at a public event.
- 42:25Speaker 12: Yeah, but it's still public, and he was feeling some
- 42:28Speaker 12: kind of way, you know, because he's the father of
- 42:32Speaker 12: her child.
- 42:32Speaker 2: He feels husbandly.
- 42:33Speaker 1: I guess, Well, it's a difference.
- 42:37Speaker 2: But I think he should have waited she got home.
- 42:41Speaker 2: I really do. He just had a thought.
- 42:47Speaker 1: You can't tweet every thought, cannot do it.
- 42:54Speaker 11: And it looked like really enjoyed us, did she?
- 42:57Speaker 4: Oh?
- 42:58Speaker 2: Yes he did.
- 43:00Speaker 11: That's another thing, you rubbing that part into all right?
- 43:05Speaker 11: What did you're saying? Y'all had Darius tweeting this morning?
- 43:10Speaker 2: Keep on, but we got to say this. Kiki was
- 43:14Speaker 2: looking good though, we need to say that she was
- 43:16Speaker 2: looking real good.
- 43:17Speaker 11: Yeah, she was.
- 43:18Speaker 1: She was so so one more time about we just
- 43:23Speaker 1: found out your name? What's that I'm listening to?
- 43:28Speaker 11: If I can't share little call it?
- 43:29Speaker 7: Dressed like that, I swear up in and started tweeting
- 43:32Speaker 7: and tell y'all to take y'all behind home.
- 43:34Speaker 2: Let me change right now.
- 43:42Speaker 12: So we just found out who he was. Okay, so
- 43:45Speaker 12: he has no right to tweet. That's Junior's thing, all right,
- 43:49Speaker 12: All right, coming up next, we got the prank phone
- 43:51Speaker 12: call from the nephew for today. Right after this you're
- 43:55Speaker 12: listening morning show coming up at about four after the hour.
- 44:01Speaker 12: It's my strawberry letter for today and the subject is
- 44:03Speaker 12: my wife needs to find something to do. Okay, we'll
- 44:06Speaker 12: get into that in just a little bit, find out
- 44:08Speaker 12: what that's all about. But right now it is time
- 44:12Speaker 12: for the nephew and today's prank phone call.
- 44:14Speaker 2: What you got for us?

- 45:09Speaker 11: Okay, how long you been at the church man, I've.
- 45:12Speaker 15: Probably been at the church for like five years now,
- 45:14Speaker 15: about five years?

- 45:16Speaker 7: My name Doug Man, Doug Newsom, and I haven't I
- 45:20Speaker 7: haven't joined the church yet, but I've been coming because
- 45:23Speaker 7: my cousin, you know, my my cousin them go there.
- 45:26Speaker 7: They've been going there for quite a bit. My cousin
- 45:30Speaker 7: I got. I got one cousin that's in the choir, LaTrece.
- 45:33Speaker 7: You know who LaTrece is, right.
- 45:35Speaker 15: Yeah, yeah, I know who the trece.
- 45:37Speaker 8: Doug.
- 45:37Speaker 15: You ain't a member of the church yet, No.
- 45:39Speaker 7: No, I'm not a member of the church yet, but
- 45:40Speaker 7: you know I've been in there. You know, I'm liking
- 45:43Speaker 7: the service and everything. So you know, it's just a
- 45:45Speaker 7: matter of time, you know, when I feel like I'm
- 45:48Speaker 7: ready to actually join. But I ain't gonna lie. Man.
- 45:51Speaker 7: I'm calling you because I got a bit of an
- 45:53Speaker 7: issue about, uh, about something I've been noticing for the
- 45:57Speaker 7: last three weeks that's been going on in the church,
- 45:59Speaker 7: and I wanted to uh, you know, I had to
- 46:01Speaker 7: ask around who.
- 46:02Speaker 11: Was over the media.
- 46:04Speaker 7: Uh, ministry, Yeah, that's that's you, man. Okay, So uh man,
- 46:09Speaker 7: I don't know what's happening. Uh And and I ain't
- 46:12Speaker 7: gonna lie. I gotta be real with you. It pissed
- 46:14Speaker 7: me off. But for the last three weeks, you know, Uh,
- 46:19Speaker 7: when my cousin get ready to sing, you know, I
- 46:21Speaker 7: don't know why when she get up the sing that
- 46:24Speaker 7: the mic just go out, you know what I mean,
- 46:26Speaker 7: The mic just go completely out when she getting ready
- 46:29Speaker 7: to sing.
- 46:29Speaker 11: And I'm like, what this don't make no sense, you know.
- 46:32Speaker 15: So man, it's not like I'm tying it.
- 46:35Speaker 8: I don't know.
- 46:35Speaker 15: I mean, we don't have the best equipment at the church,
- 46:38Speaker 15: you know, we we just got to work for what
- 46:40Speaker 15: we got. I mean, it's not like I'm sitting there
- 46:42Speaker 15: trying to single out your cousin. Sometimes the MIC's get
- 46:45Speaker 15: a glitch. Man.
- 46:46Speaker 11: But see, but see that's see that's my problem though.
- 46:48Speaker 7: The problem I'm having is the glitch happening every single
- 46:51Speaker 7: time my cousin get the mic.
- 46:53Speaker 8: You know.
- 46:54Speaker 7: That's that's the problem I'm having. Like, Okay, so every
- 46:56Speaker 7: time the trees get up there the same then you know,
- 46:58Speaker 7: the mic go out. I didn't ain't three weeks straight.
- 47:00Speaker 7: I ain't hear my cuts saying nothing. Yes, So I'm
- 47:03Speaker 7: calling you, brouh on you know, on some real man
- 47:06Speaker 7: the man stuff, just letting you know, bruh, I'm coming
- 47:09Speaker 7: to church again this Sunday.

- 47:17Speaker 11: somebody gonna get the wood.
- 47:21Speaker 15: You're gonna bring that energy to church, say, wasn't I
- 47:24Speaker 15: You're gonna bring that energy to church? I told you, man,
- 47:27Speaker 15: this is the glitch. Ain't nothing I could do about it, Okay.
- 47:30Speaker 11: What I'm saying though, bruh.
- 47:31Speaker 7: What I'm saying is this right here though, And I'm
- 47:33Speaker 7: being as real as I can, which if Latrice might
- 47:37Speaker 7: go out on Sunday, immediately after that service is over
- 47:41Speaker 7: with somebody getting.
- 47:44Speaker 15: I don't know why you calling threatening a member of
- 47:46Speaker 15: the church.
- 47:47Speaker 10: Man.
- 47:47Speaker 15: Like I said, I ain't got nothing to do with it.
- 47:49Speaker 15: I try to keep everything running cool, you know, I
- 47:52Speaker 15: try to keep it running smooth. I can't tell you
- 47:54Speaker 15: when a glitch is gonna happen. It's electronics, man, it's
- 47:57Speaker 15: holy quitmen. I'd love for you to be a member
- 47:59Speaker 15: of the church with us, but I can't. I mean,
- 48:01Speaker 15: why are you calling up here threatening me?

- 51:34Speaker 15: telling me if I could turn your mic off? I
- 51:35Speaker 15: turned that.

- 53:35Speaker 9: We got it for you.
- 53:36Speaker 11: Here. It is Strawberry Letter.
- 53:38Speaker 2: Thank you, nephew. Subject my wife needs to find something
- 53:42Speaker 2: to do.
- 53:42Speaker 12: Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm a twenty nine year old married man,
- 53:45Speaker 12: and when I got married, my wife and I moved
- 53:48Speaker 12: to my hometown. I think this is the biggest mistake
- 53:51Speaker 12: I've ever made in my life. My mother is young
- 53:55Speaker 12: because she had me when she was fifteen. Because of that,
- 53:59Speaker 12: she and my wife, who is twenty eight, our best friends.
- 54:02Speaker 12: I've known all my life that my mother smokes weed,
- 54:05Speaker 12: but it's clear to me now that she not only
- 54:08Speaker 12: smokes weed, she's a pro at it, and she's got
- 54:10Speaker 12: my wife smoking all the time. Don't worry, it's legal here,
- 54:14Speaker 12: but I still don't think it's what they need to
- 54:15Speaker 12: do all the time. Now that my wife has a
- 54:18Speaker 12: new job, she works from home two days and she
- 54:21Speaker 12: goes into the office three days. The day she's in
- 54:24Speaker 12: the office, there's only the older females working. I just
- 54:28Speaker 12: need her to make some friends real quick, because I
- 54:30Speaker 12: want to go to the gym alone, hang with my
- 54:33Speaker 12: potnas alone, and just go for a run without waiting
- 54:37Speaker 12: for her to get dressed and tie her hair up.
- 54:40Speaker 2: It's my fault, and I.
- 54:41Speaker 12: Know moving away from her friends and family would be hard,
- 54:44Speaker 12: but she's got an outgoing personality, so I am not
- 54:47Speaker 12: sure why is she so clinging now? The final straw
- 54:51Speaker 12: was when I wanted to go to the strip club
- 54:53Speaker 12: and she wanted to tag along. My cousin's wife wasn't going,
- 54:56Speaker 12: and neither were the other wives and girlfriends. Yelled and
- 55:00Speaker 12: screamed about being bored and feeling left out. I felt
- 55:04Speaker 12: so bad that I skipped the party to stay with her.
- 55:07Speaker 12: I hate that she hangs out with my mother, but
- 55:09Speaker 12: that's the only person that she can do stuff with.
- 55:12Speaker 12: After three years of marriage. Am I being mean and
- 55:14Speaker 12: selfish for not wanting to be with my wife twenty
- 55:16Speaker 12: four to seven?
- 55:17Speaker 2: What should I do?
- 55:18Speaker 12: Okay, you're not being mean and selfish for not wanting
- 55:22Speaker 12: to spend twenty four to seven with your wife. I
- 55:25Speaker 12: get that, you know everybody needs a break and all
- 55:28Speaker 12: of that, but I see some issues here. One, you
- 55:30Speaker 12: don't like your wife's smoking weed with your mom. You
- 55:34Speaker 12: don't like her hanging out with your mom, and you
- 55:36Speaker 12: do want her to get her own friends so you
- 55:38Speaker 12: can have some space. Like I said, no, you don't
- 55:41Speaker 12: have to be with her twenty four to seven, but
- 55:43Speaker 12: moving your wife think about this, Moving your wife to
- 55:45Speaker 12: a city where she only knows you and your mom
- 55:49Speaker 12: and then expecting her to not want to be around
- 55:51Speaker 12: you a lot.
- 55:52Speaker 2: That's pretty that's pretty crazy and unrealistic.
- 55:55Speaker 12: I think you know, you guys, have to figure out
- 55:58Speaker 12: a way where you can both get what you want.
- 56:00Speaker 2: You got to talk to her, you know, you got
- 56:02Speaker 2: to introduce her to some people. You know, everybody. It's
- 56:04Speaker 2: your hometown. Why can't you introduce her.
- 56:06Speaker 12: You said, she has an outgoing personality, she can make
- 56:09Speaker 12: her own friends. Then you, guys, can you know, designate
- 56:13Speaker 12: some date nights for yourselves with some people your own
- 56:18Speaker 12: age that don't smoke weed. Since you have a problem
- 56:21Speaker 12: with that, and you know this is your hometown again,
- 56:24Speaker 12: you moved her there.
- 56:25Speaker 2: You said it was the biggest mistake you ever made.
- 56:27Speaker 2: So you have to make some necessary adjustments, you know.
- 56:31Speaker 12: That way she can get out of the house, if
- 56:32Speaker 12: she meets some new friends, you know, go to girls' night,
- 56:35Speaker 12: all that stuff. I think you have to be a
- 56:36Speaker 12: little more patient and understanding with your wife. And if
- 56:40Speaker 12: you don't like her smoking so much weed, let her
- 56:42Speaker 12: know that too. And by the way, by the way,
- 56:46Speaker 12: this is a PostScript. Yes, black women have to tie
- 56:49Speaker 12: our hair down when we work out which you think
- 56:51Speaker 12: we got to preserve our edges period, period, Tommy, Don't.
- 56:56Speaker 7: Nobody want to stay in this old ass town? Y'all
- 56:58Speaker 7: living here, and that's the problem right there. Don't somebody want.
- 57:01Speaker 9: To stay there?
- 57:02Speaker 2: Is boring?
- 57:03Speaker 7: She bored, ain't nothing to do. Yes, it was the
- 57:05Speaker 7: biggest mistake you've ever made. You need to get your
- 57:08Speaker 7: wife back to it. Maybe wherever you all met, she's unhappy.
- 57:11Speaker 7: Your wife is miserable right now, so you need to
- 57:14Speaker 7: fix it.
- 57:14Speaker 11: Where your wife is. Y'all ain't been married for three years.
- 57:16Speaker 11: Y'all supposed to be doing a lot of stuff together,
- 57:18Speaker 11: hanging out together. And of course, yes, men want to
- 57:20Speaker 11: do some things by themselves. Sometimes got that part, but
- 57:24Speaker 11: you need to make You need to right now focus
- 57:26Speaker 11: on your wife and make your wife happy. That's what
- 57:28Speaker 11: you need to do. And quit dropping off at mama
- 57:30Speaker 11: house and get high or whatever.
- 57:31Speaker 7: She come back. She got the munchies when you pick
- 57:33Speaker 7: it up. You ought to be tired of that. And
- 57:36Speaker 7: don't know, man want to take their wife to the
- 57:37Speaker 7: strip club with them? What kind of fun is that?
- 57:41Speaker 7: It's not okay? So I know you want to have
- 57:44Speaker 7: your man time, do your thing, But you the first
- 57:46Speaker 7: right now, you need to make sure your wife is happy.
- 57:49Speaker 11: All right, happy wife, happy life. Get your wife straight,
- 57:53Speaker 11: make sure she good now.
- 57:54Speaker 7: But it ain't no young people in the town that
- 57:58Speaker 7: y'all living because it got to be a town, the
- 58:00Speaker 7: town that y'all live in. You need to move you
- 58:02Speaker 7: think about it. Well, I don't know if you moved home,
- 58:03Speaker 7: because Mama, I don't know what this is. But but
- 58:06Speaker 7: but what kind of time is it? Everybody smoking weed
- 58:08Speaker 7: over there? What is it just your mama don't know
- 58:10Speaker 7: that's just smoking all this Why is your mama smoking
- 58:12Speaker 7: all this weed?
- 58:13Speaker 11: Why is that your mama can roll weed with one hand?
- 58:16Speaker 11: I mean, what is this?
- 58:17Speaker 7: Because you say she's a professional act, they I mean
- 58:20Speaker 7: your mama just rolling enough? Just rolling enough, you know,
- 58:23Speaker 7: I mean, I mean, I mean, honestly, take some time
- 58:27Speaker 7: and make sure your wife is straight.
- 58:28Speaker 11: That's the most important thing. Men.
- 58:30Speaker 7: Men got to make sure your wife is straight and
- 58:32Speaker 7: your wife is happy. That's the most important thing. And
- 58:35Speaker 7: I promise once she's happy, you happy. Make your wife happy.
- 58:39Speaker 12: That's it at time, all right? Thinking that you junior,
- 58:43Speaker 12: that's not how I see this. My wife needs to
- 58:45Speaker 12: find something to do.
- 58:46Speaker 16: Yeah, I don't see it like that time. I mean,
- 58:48Speaker 16: that's a great as well. Come on, come on now,
- 58:51Speaker 16: let me just tell you right now. The problem is
- 58:53Speaker 16: in this whole letter is you're gonna have to start
- 58:55Speaker 16: smoking some weed.
- 58:58Speaker 11: You're gonna have to because you haven't too many problem.
- 59:03Speaker 11: The reason why you see all the problems because.
- 59:04Speaker 16: You ain't high. See, I've been around people that's been high.
- 59:08Speaker 16: They always slow. When you see somebody high fast, it's
- 59:14Speaker 16: gonna take a while to get ready because she.
- 59:16Speaker 2: High, she gotta wrap those Yes, that's.
- 59:20Speaker 16: Your mama and your wife. They gonna smoke together. Let
- 59:23Speaker 16: me tell you the other thing. She's clinging because people
- 59:25Speaker 16: that's high are touchy philly people. They gonna do Yeah,
- 59:30Speaker 16: they gonna be clinking. I know you're tired of hearing
- 59:34Speaker 16: this and it sounds slow. Babe, Babe, Babe, Babe, babe, babe, babe.
- 59:47Speaker 16: You know, listen to me, mabe.
- 59:49Speaker 2: Oh that thought, babee. All right, we're gonna have Part two.
- 59:53Speaker 2: Strawberry Letter respons is coming up in twenty three minutes
- 59:57Speaker 2: after the hour.
- 59:58Speaker 12: Today's Strawberry Letter subject my wife needs to find something
- 1:00:01Speaker 12: to do. We'll get back into it. Right after this,
- 1:00:04Speaker 12: you're listening hard morning show. All right, guys, we're going
- 1:00:09Speaker 12: to recap today's strawberry letter. The subject is my wife
- 1:00:12Speaker 12: needs to find something to do. Twenty nine year old
- 1:00:15Speaker 12: married man wrote this letter. His wife is twenty eight.
- 1:00:19Speaker 12: They've been married for three years. When they got married,
- 1:00:22Speaker 12: he said, it's the biggest mistake of his life. He
- 1:00:25Speaker 12: moved his wife to his hometown. So she has no
- 1:00:29Speaker 12: people to hang out with because she doesn't know anybody,
- 1:00:31Speaker 12: no one her own age. She hangs out with his
- 1:00:34Speaker 12: mom and who had him when she was fifteen. So
- 1:00:40Speaker 12: his mom smokes weed all the time. So now the
- 1:00:42Speaker 12: mom smokes weed with the daughter, with his wife, her
- 1:00:46Speaker 12: daughter in law, and he doesn't like it. He absolutely
- 1:00:48Speaker 12: does not like this, guys. So the wife wants to
- 1:00:54Speaker 12: hang out all the time twenty four to seven, he says,
- 1:00:57Speaker 12: with him with the husband, and you know, he's tired
- 1:01:01Speaker 12: of it. He wants his own space. He wants to
- 1:01:02Speaker 12: go to the gym by himself, but he has to
- 1:01:05Speaker 12: wait on her to get dressed and tie her hair up.
- 1:01:08Speaker 15: You know.
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: He says, she needs to get her some friends.
- 1:01:11Speaker 12: And he said the final straw was when she wanted
- 1:01:13Speaker 12: to go to the strip club with him, and he
- 1:01:15Speaker 12: didn't want to do that. None of his other friend's
- 1:01:17Speaker 12: wives or girlfriends wanted to go. So he's wanting to
- 1:01:19Speaker 12: know is he being mean and selfish for not wanting
- 1:01:22Speaker 12: his wife with him? Twenty four to seven?
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: And what should he do? So, junior, you want to
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: finish your answer.
- 1:01:27Speaker 16: You were saying that this young man, your mama's forty
- 1:01:31Speaker 16: four years old. There is no age range for smoking weed.
- 1:01:35Speaker 16: It brings people sixty to eighteen together it they don't care.
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: It's weed.
- 1:01:39Speaker 16: Okay, Now you gonna have to start smoking some weed
- 1:01:42Speaker 16: because you're just not going to wait because you're just
- 1:01:44Speaker 16: so where he is.
- 1:01:45Speaker 11: Yeah, it's legal.
- 1:01:46Speaker 16: You got to go down to this dispensary and get
- 1:01:48Speaker 16: you a bag yourself, because I'm telling you they're not finish.
- 1:01:51Speaker 15: Stop.
- 1:01:52Speaker 16: Now, nobody's high as ever fast they move slow. Ain't
- 1:01:56Speaker 16: nobody high moving fast?
- 1:01:58Speaker 6: They high?
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: So therefore, young man, you gonna have to just start
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: smoking some weed.
- 1:02:03Speaker 11: Frame me that dime bag off the kitchen, kund.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what he's gonna have to do, all right.
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: Yeah, you're going too far.
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: It is legal there, but come on, not everywhere.
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: So that's that's your response. You're that you're gonna understand
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: them because he's not high.
- 1:02:22Speaker 16: Your mama and your wife is sitting in the living
- 1:02:25Speaker 16: room smoking and they laughing, and you don't know why
- 1:02:27Speaker 16: they laughing.
- 1:02:36Speaker 11: Smoking.
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: He don't say she's too cleaning though he doesn't.
- 1:02:41Speaker 16: He's just Sureley what I told you. People that are
- 1:02:44Speaker 16: a touchy Philly people, they're gonna be clinky. I know
- 1:02:47Speaker 16: he's tired of hearing this. Babe, what you're doing? Man, Mabe,
- 1:02:52Speaker 16: they look at me, Look at me, Look at me, Babe.
- 1:02:57Speaker 13: Ain't not sexy? Huh, bab ain't sexy to you?
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: Ask your mama?
- 1:03:01Speaker 9: Look at your mom.
- 1:03:02Speaker 13: Your mama looks sexy too.
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: You understand none of this now, Julia?
- 1:03:05Speaker 11: Can we take her? Why she high? Can we take
- 1:03:07Speaker 11: her to the Magic City? Is it okay? Let me
- 1:03:10Speaker 11: tell you why she wanted to go?
- 1:03:11Speaker 9: Strip up?
- 1:03:12Speaker 11: It through a fit because where is most of the
- 1:03:13Speaker 11: weed at.
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: Weed and wings? I thought it was known for wings.
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: Let me know, she's gonna get hungry, she gonna get yeah.
- 1:03:25Speaker 13: And the reason why the other wives didn't go because
- 1:03:27Speaker 13: they don't smoke.
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: Whed Oh, but.
- 1:03:30Speaker 12: She says she's feeling bored she's feeling left out. That's
- 1:03:33Speaker 12: what the wife is saying. She's bored.
- 1:03:35Speaker 11: His mama is a bad influence.
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: But that's all yeah for sure. Yeah, but that's her
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: best friend. They're best friends. She has no other friends.
- 1:03:44Speaker 11: What should she do?
- 1:03:45Speaker 16: They're not gonna stop smoking. I know that it's time
- 1:03:48Speaker 16: to move. Yeah, you got to go back out of
- 1:03:52Speaker 16: town right now. I'm tell you right now. He can move,
- 1:03:56Speaker 16: but she's not leaving his mom. No, I'm moving. You
- 1:04:01Speaker 16: go ahead, babe, babe, you go ahead, move back, babe.
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: May you move?
- 1:04:06Speaker 11: Me and mama be right here. Me and your mama
- 1:04:08Speaker 11: had planted some seeds in the backyard.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: Will you stopped.
- 1:04:12Speaker 11: I'm sorry.
- 1:04:14Speaker 12: I just think once she gets other friends. I think
- 1:04:18Speaker 12: it's her husband's hometown. He needs to introduce her to
- 1:04:21Speaker 12: some people. He knows everyone there. She only knows him
- 1:04:24Speaker 12: and his mom and maybe a couple of the people
- 1:04:27Speaker 12: in the office when she goes in a couple of
- 1:04:29Speaker 12: days a week or three times a week.
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: So he says she has to get town. He did
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: say the biggest mistake.
- 1:04:42Speaker 12: He ever made was moving his wife to his hometown,
- 1:04:46Speaker 12: but he made it seem like it was because his
- 1:04:48Speaker 12: mom lived there and she smoked weed.
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: And now they're best friends. And his wife just got
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: a new job. So you want them to move?
- 1:04:55Speaker 8: I do.
- 1:04:55Speaker 11: I don't know about her new job. I'm want her
- 1:04:58Speaker 11: to be happy.
- 1:05:01Speaker 7: Get a transfer, they hide, and all the cities across
- 1:05:04Speaker 7: the country they hired.
- 1:05:05Speaker 11: She find a job somewhere else. Let's find it.
- 1:05:07Speaker 7: Getting his city away from your mama with this weed.
- 1:05:10Speaker 7: Let's get away from this.
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: Let me tell you right now.
- 1:05:13Speaker 16: Though they smoke all the time, twenty four hours a day,
- 1:05:16Speaker 16: all the time, that means your mama got that fire, yo, mama.
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: Got the good stuff, big, big firm.
- 1:05:29Speaker 11: No mama bringing it.
- 1:05:32Speaker 12: He did say, not only does my mom smoke weed,
- 1:05:35Speaker 12: but she's a pro add it. And she's got my
- 1:05:37Speaker 12: wife smoking all the time. He did say that in
- 1:05:39Speaker 12: the letter.
- 1:05:40Speaker 11: He did.
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: Yeah, but why does it take her so long to
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: get dressed? Why when they're trying to go to the gym,
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: because she hid, take a minute.
- 1:05:52Speaker 12: Herself the leggings and the top and got.
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: All right. All right, Well, all right, I guess you're
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: gonna have to move for something, all right.

- 1:06:17Speaker 12: is back.
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: Right after this.
- 1:06:19Speaker 11: Don't hit us up if you high, don't do it.
- 1:06:23Speaker 6: You're listening Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: All right, it is time now for Junior and Sports Talk.
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: Junior is back.
- 1:06:30Speaker 8: What.
- 1:06:31Speaker 16: Yeah, let's go ahead and give her her props right now,
- 1:06:33Speaker 16: because y'all was on the when she was down. But
- 1:06:35Speaker 16: I want to say, Shikari Richardson ran the fastest women's
- 1:06:38Speaker 16: one hundred meter time of this week.
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: Okay, she is the como car.
- 1:06:44Speaker 13: Everything she's doing, she backtrained and she's on it.
- 1:06:47Speaker 16: She appeared at the United States Championships in Eugene, Oregon,
- 1:06:50Speaker 16: last Thursday and set things off right from the beginning.
- 1:06:53Speaker 16: The record setting run raised Shakari's chances of joining the
- 1:06:56Speaker 16: World Championships in Budapest next month, and in Mark's personal
- 1:06:59Speaker 16: bit of her career. So go ahead, Shikari Richardson, I
- 1:07:03Speaker 16: am not mad at you. They when you was down there,
- 1:07:08Speaker 16: she took that wig off.
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it was hot under there. Yeah she kept going. Carlos,
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: she fens up righty to that wig off and look
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: at that. Yeah, I am not mad at you man.
- 1:07:21Speaker 16: And then this also came shocking man, ESPN and many
- 1:07:27Speaker 16: long time views as they cut ties with significant portion
- 1:07:30Speaker 16: of their talent roster.
- 1:07:31Speaker 4: Man.
- 1:07:32Speaker 16: The layoffs included twenty on air personalities and this is crazy, man,
- 1:07:36Speaker 16: including Jalen Rose, Jeff Van Gundhy, Keishawn Johnson, you know,
- 1:07:42Speaker 16: and this is this is just crazy, like twenty great people.
- 1:07:46Speaker 16: First of all, Jalen Rose is one of my favorite
- 1:07:49Speaker 16: analysts and personalities on ESPN. I mean, Jeff Van Gundhy Man,
- 1:07:55Speaker 16: I love Jeff van Gundy, but you know, man, I
- 1:07:57Speaker 16: mean even Keith Shawn Johnson, you know.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: And there was some beef between Adam Silver and Jeff
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: Van Gundy.
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: I think, really, uh huh, that's somebody else said that
- 1:08:09Speaker 3: to going on between the NBA and him, and I don't.
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: Know what they had to do with ESPN.
- 1:08:15Speaker 16: Yeah, But here's the thing though, you know, you know,
- 1:08:20Speaker 16: and and you know, and people coming after Steven A.
- 1:08:22Speaker 16: Smith because he's yeah, and it's like Stephen a man,
- 1:08:26Speaker 16: you know, Like I remember seeing Steve he addressed it
- 1:08:29Speaker 16: and he said, you know what he said, I'm not
- 1:08:31Speaker 16: even you know, I'm not immune to this.
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: I could be let go.
- 1:08:35Speaker 16: He says, I do have the Yeah, he said, I
- 1:08:37Speaker 16: do have the number one show on ESPN, which is
- 1:08:39Speaker 16: first take. And he says, but I'm not the highest
- 1:08:41Speaker 16: paid person either.
- 1:08:45Speaker 15: Yet.
- 1:08:45Speaker 11: No, no, he's not the highest paid person. Who.
- 1:08:50Speaker 16: Man, you gotta look at somebody who been there long
- 1:08:51Speaker 16: with stephen A. But I'm just saying, like, you know,
- 1:08:54Speaker 16: they let go of a lot of people that we
- 1:08:56Speaker 16: really like looking at. So I don't know if they're
- 1:08:57Speaker 16: making moves to get a younger talent roster in here,
- 1:09:00Speaker 16: but it is concerning that twenty people laid off at
- 1:09:03Speaker 16: one time.
- 1:09:04Speaker 3: M Well, they said, said they had to cut back.
- 1:09:09Speaker 3: See okay, well then they spoke the mouse.
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: That's what I think is less expensive people. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: you know, but right now, STEVENY. Smith is good. So
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: you know, we and jo Steve A. Smith on the
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: first take.
- 1:09:24Speaker 11: So there it is.
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: Man, it's just crazy. Yeah, all right, Junior, thank you.
- 1:09:27Speaker 12: Coming up at the top of the hour, lady in
- 1:09:29Speaker 12: Memphis wants to know if she should lie to her
- 1:09:32Speaker 12: son or not.
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: We'll get into that right after this.
- 1:09:36Speaker 11: A lot.
- 1:09:39Speaker 6: You're listening hard morning show.
- 1:09:44Speaker 12: Guys, This is from Katrice in Memphis, Coatri says, I'm
- 1:09:47Speaker 12: a mother of a thirteen year old son, and I
- 1:09:49Speaker 12: have a fan page on social media that pays our bills.
- 1:09:53Speaker 12: My ex husband's two sisters don't like me, and they
- 1:09:56Speaker 12: recently found out what I do to supplement my income.
- 1:09:59Speaker 12: They a lot of time around my son, and they've
- 1:10:02Speaker 12: dropped hints. He's a smart child and I know he
- 1:10:05Speaker 12: will figure things out soon. Do I lie to him
- 1:10:08Speaker 12: or tell him the truth about what I do on
- 1:10:10Speaker 12: the side in the privacy of my own room.
- 1:10:14Speaker 2: So that's the question.
- 1:10:16Speaker 12: Should she lie to her son about her I'm assuming
- 1:10:18Speaker 12: it's an only fans page.
- 1:10:21Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, yeah, mama freaky in that back room, Mama
- 1:10:24Speaker 7: getting real.
- 1:10:25Speaker 11: Freaky back then.
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: I guess it depends on a lot of things. I
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: don't think she should tell them. I think she should
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: stop their bill. There are the jobs she can find
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: something else.
- 1:10:40Speaker 3: If it's going to be damnited, if her son, if
- 1:10:42Speaker 3: her son's not going to be able to handle that,
- 1:10:45Speaker 3: that's heavy.
- 1:10:46Speaker 12: Yeah, And I think I think the sisters are dead
- 1:10:49Speaker 12: wrong for this is absolutely I think they're dead wrong.
- 1:10:52Speaker 12: You talk to the mom, you don't drop hints in
- 1:10:54Speaker 12: front of a thirteen year old child.
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: That's wrong anyway. You sure that which this whole thing is.
- 1:11:01Speaker 13: You wrote us and did not give us the fan
- 1:11:03Speaker 13: page info.
- 1:11:05Speaker 16: So you'll be the judge of Yeah, because we assume
- 1:11:09Speaker 16: that she's making a lot of money.
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: If we look at you, we know there's not a
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: lot of people in here.
- 1:11:13Speaker 11: We need to see what you look.
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: Like first, and then you can walk away from it.
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: Liked the boy, be all right, she says, and pays
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: their bills. Yeah, yeah, sooner or later, the boy gonna
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: see you.
- 1:11:24Speaker 12: You know that, Yes, telling him for sure. And that's
- 1:11:28Speaker 12: why I say they're wrong. Let the mother handle this situation.
- 1:11:31Speaker 11: One of his friends.
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, shut your page down.
- 1:11:39Speaker 11: Yeah, Levante, I saw your mama last.
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: Your children.
- 1:11:46Speaker 12: Yeah, she's and she said he's a smart child. She
- 1:11:49Speaker 12: knows he will figure it out soon, That's what she says.
- 1:11:53Speaker 12: So so no, don't lie to them, take your page down,
- 1:11:59Speaker 12: and uh, it's a.
- 1:12:00Speaker 11: Lot of money. We miss him though.
- 1:12:01Speaker 8: I just.
- 1:12:06Speaker 7: I mean, you can go in that other room and
- 1:12:08Speaker 7: come out with a few thousand real quick back and
- 1:12:15Speaker 7: pay anything. That boy going to private school, cause mama
- 1:12:18Speaker 7: go in that back room back down.
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: They're bully of private schools. It ain't just limited the public.
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: All right, we have time for one more guys.
- 1:12:31Speaker 12: This one's from Willeen and Camden, who says, I'm a
- 1:12:33Speaker 12: sixty two year old married woman and I've been cheating
- 1:12:36Speaker 12: on my husband with a man that I met on
- 1:12:38Speaker 12: a business trip. It was a one night stand and
- 1:12:41Speaker 12: I didn't hear from the man for months. Now He's
- 1:12:43Speaker 12: been flying in and out to have sex with me
- 1:12:46Speaker 12: in my hometown. It's getting to the point where I
- 1:12:48Speaker 12: have no desire, no desire for my husband. We have
- 1:12:51Speaker 12: been married thirty years. So how do I balance both
- 1:12:55Speaker 12: both men?
- 1:12:56Speaker 10: What a flight?
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: You needna stop what you're doing. You don't balance both men.
- 1:13:06Speaker 2: If this were a man, would you tell him the
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: same thing?
- 1:13:09Speaker 8: Yes?
- 1:13:09Speaker 11: I would, Yes, we would would. Good.
- 1:13:12Speaker 7: You're over there to your wife and in reality, food
- 1:13:15Speaker 7: is all this mid life ignorance you're doing.
- 1:13:17Speaker 11: Stop stop at sixty two over mid life.
- 1:13:21Speaker 16: Stop where you're going, Gwendolyn and windoln where you're going, Gwendolyn.

- 1:14:46Speaker 12: marriage is over, it's done.
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: They say their marriage is over.
- 1:14:50Speaker 11: Guess what.
- 1:14:51Speaker 12: They're not planning on divorcing. Instead, they're going to reportedly

- 1:16:27Speaker 11: Eyebrows off?
- 1:16:31Speaker 12: Your face looks funny without eyebrows, don't you. It's like

- 1:20:07Speaker 7: these kids when the summer hits and then and they're
- 1:20:10Speaker 7: done with school, why they think they're supposed to do
- 1:20:13Speaker 7: something every single day They're supposed to have something for
- 1:20:16Speaker 7: them to do.
- 1:20:17Speaker 11: And I'm sorry, just go outside and I see you
- 1:20:20Speaker 11: this evening.
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: What you want when we were kids outside, I was outside.
- 1:20:27Speaker 11: Come back in, get you some water, go back out again?
- 1:20:30Speaker 6: What use it they need more?
- 1:20:34Speaker 3: I say this first to answer your question. Uh, Tommy,
- 1:20:38Speaker 3: educators need to raise teacher.
- 1:20:43Speaker 2: Take with your child. Let me tell you something, just
- 1:20:47Speaker 2: for a couple of movies.
- 1:20:48Speaker 3: Teachers and educators and principals, administration what they want they observed.
- 1:20:56Speaker 2: They really really did. You're absolutely right they did.
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: We came back from my family vacation too as well.
- 1:21:02Speaker 2: So your favorite.
- 1:21:05Speaker 3: Yes, we just came back from Copo in Mexico. But
- 1:21:08Speaker 3: I hear what you're saying, Tommy. They want to be
- 1:21:09Speaker 3: entertained a lot. But my daughter is a little bit
- 1:21:11Speaker 3: older now since she's working.
- 1:21:12Speaker 15: Right.
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: Yes, so she has a job, so she's working. She's
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: a cheer coach, got a job, so she's But I
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: think sometimes you need.
- 1:21:23Speaker 3: A vacation from the vacation because where as you wild
- 1:21:26Speaker 3: planning excursions and stuff, keeping them entertained the whole time.
- 1:21:31Speaker 7: It's also important that the parents go take your own
- 1:21:34Speaker 7: vacation way from the kid, away from you.
- 1:21:39Speaker 11: You got to be spend that quality time with your
- 1:21:41Speaker 11: with your spouse. We can't even I mean as soon
- 1:21:47Speaker 11: as we wake up. Jordan is right there. What we're
- 1:21:49Speaker 11: doing today.
- 1:21:55Speaker 2: To recover from the heat.
- 1:21:59Speaker 12: Yes, the only time they understand stuff like that is
- 1:22:03Speaker 12: when they get older and have kids of their own.
- 1:22:06Speaker 2: That's the only time.
- 1:22:06Speaker 12: Otherwise it's just noise to them what you're talking about
- 1:22:10Speaker 12: as a parent.
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: They don't understand. They have no clue as to what
- 1:22:13Speaker 2: you're talking about.
- 1:22:14Speaker 6: None.
- 1:22:16Speaker 12: And when we were kids, we wanted the same thing,
- 1:22:18Speaker 12: except for outside. We could do a lot outside. Now
- 1:22:21Speaker 12: it's all I wanted was outside. I'll ride your bike,
- 1:22:24Speaker 12: you could roller skate, you can do whatever.
- 1:22:27Speaker 9: Everything.
- 1:22:27Speaker 2: Yeah, we were outside like it was a job.
- 1:22:30Speaker 11: Yeah that morning, and you a't to come.
- 1:22:32Speaker 12: Back on to the streetlights till the street lights. Yeah,
- 1:22:34Speaker 12: till the street lights came on. But it's different now.
- 1:22:36Speaker 2: You can't do that.
- 1:22:37Speaker 11: Like my kid, my son wants me to drop him
- 1:22:40Speaker 11: off at somebody's house. That's three streets. Oh if you
- 1:22:43Speaker 11: don't get to walk in, all right, well.
- 1:22:46Speaker 2: Drop you off.
- 1:22:48Speaker 7: We're not firing up the truck to go around the
- 1:22:51Speaker 7: three streets. You can walk around it.
- 1:22:55Speaker 12: What about what about dinner? Like you do you like
- 1:22:59Speaker 12: our fan families? Growing up, we had to eat whatever
- 1:23:02Speaker 12: our parents cooked. Our mom cooked for dinner. One thing.
- 1:23:06Speaker 12: Now each child wants something different.
- 1:23:09Speaker 11: Let me tell you a.
- 1:23:11Speaker 2: Little off subject.
- 1:23:12Speaker 11: But yeah, I did not believe. I did not realize.
- 1:23:15Speaker 7: Like when when Sidney was younger, and so when Jackie
- 1:23:18Speaker 7: would pick up Jordan and Sydney, I would be on
- 1:23:21Speaker 7: the phone and she would be telling me, well, I
- 1:23:23Speaker 7: got to stop at chick for laate for Sydney.
- 1:23:25Speaker 11: But then Jordan's I want that, Jordan want waterburg I was.

- 1:23:29Speaker 11: Are you serious?
- 1:23:31Speaker 9: Right now?
- 1:23:33Speaker 11: Hey? What is this stop on the way home for
- 1:23:35Speaker 11: food every day?
- 1:23:36Speaker 8: I don't.
- 1:23:38Speaker 11: We got home and made a sandwich.
- 1:23:39Speaker 7: And that was it until Mama took something that was what, No,
- 1:23:45Speaker 7: we'll have the number three chick relate with the Polynesian saw.
- 1:23:51Speaker 2: Jackie. Yeah, that was a treat for us when we
- 1:23:55Speaker 2: got to do stuff like that.
- 1:23:56Speaker 11: It was a treat.
- 1:23:57Speaker 12: It wasn't the norm. The norm in or with whatever
- 1:24:00Speaker 12: they cooked. Yeah, a treat would be to go get
- 1:24:03Speaker 12: burgers or something or pizza or whatever.
- 1:24:05Speaker 11: What is this about?
- 1:24:05Speaker 2: These kids don't do leftovers now?
- 1:24:08Speaker 11: Uh uh, thank you.
- 1:24:10Speaker 2: I don't think we had that yesterday. They don't like
- 1:24:12Speaker 2: that what what what what.
- 1:24:14Speaker 11: Are you talking about? You're gonna be hungry, my son
- 1:24:18Speaker 11: asked me on the fifth. What we go on July Field?
- 1:24:21Speaker 11: What we're gonna eat? Were eating the same day?

- 1:25:01Speaker 11: Now, so yeah, we're planning that.
- 1:25:03Speaker 7: And then that's gonna you know, then I got to
- 1:25:06Speaker 7: when you when you're with your spouse, uh huh. My
- 1:25:10Speaker 7: wife takes an hour and a half to get dressed, y'all.
