- 0:26Speaker 1: Check eligibility at a D D downcom slash get fiber
- 0:29Speaker 1: restrictions apply. When I was eighteen years old, a nun
- 0:33Speaker 1: at my high school was brutally murdered. Getting to the
- 0:37Speaker 1: truth has opened a Pandora's box of secrets exposing abuse
- 0:41Speaker 1: of power and a world of lies at one Miami monastery.

- 0:50Speaker 1: got to be something else going on here. Listen to

- 1:16Speaker 1: is Roxy Diaz. She has interviewed everyone from Lady Gaga,
- 1:20Speaker 1: the former President Barack Obama, as co host of Bats,
- 1:23Speaker 1: one of six, and Park and co hosting Daily Correspondent
- 1:26Speaker 1: on Entertainment Tonight. Roxy has always been known for setting
- 1:30Speaker 1: the tone for what's happening in music and movies and entertainment.
- 1:34Speaker 1: She's always on the red carpet. She's Emmy Award winning
- 1:37Speaker 1: TV personality influence and on the social media. Because I've
- 1:40Speaker 1: been following that, we're gonna talk about that and host
- 1:43Speaker 1: a new Fox series, Alter Ego. You've seen it's it's
- 1:46Speaker 1: been heavily promoted on TV all the time. Well, behind
- 1:49Speaker 1: all that, who's gonna be the show runner? As they said,
- 1:52Speaker 1: it's gonna be directing the people on stage and talking
- 1:54Speaker 1: to the judges. It's gonna be her, which is really
- 1:57Speaker 1: a blessing because I've known it for a long time.
- 1:59Speaker 1: If you don't know think about Alter Ego, let me
- 2:01Speaker 1: explain to you what it is. Alter Ego is an
- 2:03Speaker 1: all new, original singing competition show whereas they say, lost
- 2:08Speaker 1: dreams and second chances are reignited when singers from all
- 2:11Speaker 1: walks of life become the stars. They've always wanted to be. However,
- 2:15Speaker 1: these contestants won't perform as themselves. That's the that's the
- 2:19Speaker 1: beautiful catch up. This is its animation. Rather they are
- 2:22Speaker 1: given They'll be giving a chance to show how they
- 2:25Speaker 1: would be seen creating their own dream Avatar Altar Eagle
- 2:30Speaker 1: is to reinvent themselves and perform like they never before.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Please welcome to Money Making Conversation. The host and long
- 2:36Speaker 1: time frame A long time mentored her. We've done it
- 2:39Speaker 1: all radio, we done TV, We've done show a ward
- 2:42Speaker 1: shows together. I'm even crying with this young lady. Please
- 2:46Speaker 1: working to Money Making Conversations. Roxy d Is, how are
- 2:48Speaker 1: you doing? Roxy? It's so good to see you when
- 2:52Speaker 1: you're fantastic. It really has been a long career for us.
- 2:56Speaker 1: I was just, you know, I was you know, rock,
- 2:57Speaker 1: I was sitting up to just think about me and
- 2:59Speaker 1: I would say, and you know, youth is really scary
- 3:02Speaker 1: in anything you do, because when you have success early,
- 3:06Speaker 1: you know you still got to get you the thirties.
- 3:07Speaker 1: You gotta get you the parties in the fifties. And
- 3:09Speaker 1: you know, I've gotten passed my thirties, farties and fifties.
- 3:12Speaker 1: That's the journey you still have to make. But still
- 3:15Speaker 1: you can have so much success early and you're still
- 3:18Speaker 1: having success now in your mind. How does that work
- 3:22Speaker 1: when people think about because your success is in the
- 3:24Speaker 1: public's eye. Yeah, it's scary. It's it's scary. Like you said,
- 3:29Speaker 1: you know, to be completely honest and and and forthcoming. Uh,
- 3:35Speaker 1: I started wondering when was I washed up? I was like,
- 3:39Speaker 1: I've done so much already, what else is there left
- 3:42Speaker 1: for me to do on a TV? Uh? And it was.
- 3:45Speaker 1: It was a very scary moment. It was a very
- 3:47Speaker 1: scary moment cause I was like, I'm trying everything that
- 3:50Speaker 1: I can possibly think of to reinvent myself to stay
- 3:54Speaker 1: relevant in this opportunity. Thank God came and opened the
- 3:59Speaker 1: door and I manifested this. Uh. I had it on
- 4:02Speaker 1: my vision board to host a huge competition show like
- 4:05Speaker 1: like Alter Ego UM. And I'm so grateful to the
- 4:09Speaker 1: people at Fox and the producers who did not go
- 4:13Speaker 1: the traditional route for a host and chose this little
- 4:18Speaker 1: brown girl to her dream and and host this humongous
- 4:23Speaker 1: opportunity UM show. And not only that, to come off
- 4:27Speaker 1: of behind Nick Cannon, who's you know, the mass singer
- 4:31Speaker 1: and and another huge show and another huge opportunity that
- 4:35Speaker 1: Fox gave you know, somebody that wasn't traditional as a host.
- 4:40Speaker 1: So I really, I really thank them and I applaud
- 4:42Speaker 1: them for for opening the door and giving me this opportunity. Robert,
- 4:46Speaker 1: I bring it up because, like I said, uh, it
- 4:49Speaker 1: really is interesting when we look at our lives, look
- 4:51Speaker 1: at your lives. You know, last time we saw each
- 4:53Speaker 1: other physical I think was in the Disney Dreamers ago. Yeah,
- 4:58Speaker 1: this had to be like in twenty six in the
- 5:00Speaker 1: fifteen last time I saw you, and you're looking fantastic
- 5:03Speaker 1: like you're looking now. But again it's a journey. It's
- 5:06Speaker 1: a journey when we look at when you, like said,
- 5:08Speaker 1: you're a bank teller, you can go to work eight
- 5:09Speaker 1: to five. You if your company is doing well, you know,
- 5:12Speaker 1: you can probably have a life, maybe even a pension,
- 5:15Speaker 1: maybe maybe even health benefits, and you can raise it
- 5:19Speaker 1: and live your life. But when you're an entertainment when
- 5:22Speaker 1: you're in it, entrepreneur, that's what she is. She's an entrepreneur.
- 5:25Speaker 1: She's self imployed. She has to go out there and
- 5:28Speaker 1: she has people who represented her. She has PR people,
- 5:30Speaker 1: she has social media people, she has management, she has agencies.
- 5:34Speaker 1: How does one put that in perspective? Roxton? When you're
- 5:37Speaker 1: talking about your career, because it's your career and a
- 5:40Speaker 1: lot of people have to have a lot of ideas
- 5:42Speaker 1: of where they want to push it, how do you
- 5:44Speaker 1: do you push back? Or you said this is the
- 5:46Speaker 1: direction I want to go, or if you take people
- 5:47Speaker 1: advice it doesn't go that way, or you're disappointed it
- 5:50Speaker 1: yourself all you say, hey, that's the way it just goes.
- 5:54Speaker 1: You know. I think I think you just said the
- 5:56Speaker 1: key thing. It's your career. So yeah, you gotta have
- 5:59Speaker 1: a whole team if you're not working with that team
- 6:02Speaker 1: or for that team, because they work for you, but
- 6:04Speaker 1: you have to work for them also. You have to
- 6:07Speaker 1: come up with ideas and creatives and when they make
- 6:10Speaker 1: a meeting and and set something up, you have to
- 6:13Speaker 1: deliver and show up in that room. It's it's part
- 6:16Speaker 1: of your job too. Um yeah, I have an agent,
- 6:19Speaker 1: I have an attorney, and I have all of that stuff.
- 6:21Speaker 1: But if I don't make money for them, then why
- 6:24Speaker 1: would they keep me as a client? You know? And
- 6:26Speaker 1: vice versa. So it's something very important to consider and
- 6:30Speaker 1: think about when you're going into this career and just
- 6:32Speaker 1: as an entrepreneur, at the end of the day, it's
- 6:35Speaker 1: like you're constantly creating, You're constantly reinventing and thinking, and
- 6:39Speaker 1: they're just a branch to your trunk because you're the
- 6:43Speaker 1: trunk of the tree. But there are a branch of you.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Um but you still have to stay strong and continue
- 6:49Speaker 1: striving and surviving in this in this world. So um
- 6:53Speaker 1: so yeah, it's it could be challenging, but I'm an
- 6:57Speaker 1: amazing team and we work together. We come up with ideas.
- 7:01Speaker 1: You know, I create, they make it bigger for me,
- 7:04Speaker 1: bigger than I would ever imagine. And and so it's
- 7:07Speaker 1: a great synergy that I have with my team. We're
- 7:09Speaker 1: on Fox. Alter ego is big. It's big, It's uge, okay,
- 7:15Speaker 1: because it comes with the imagination too, because I like said,
- 7:19Speaker 1: you know, short hasn't premiered yet. I'm just talking to
- 7:21Speaker 1: my listeners who in this world out there, my viewers
- 7:23Speaker 1: and all this in our world because I'm on syndicated radio,
- 7:26Speaker 1: I'm on podcasts, I'm on video and YouTube, so it's
- 7:29Speaker 1: so many different lanes I'm talking to. But how much
- 7:32Speaker 1: it can you reveal as the host because we're seeing
- 7:36Speaker 1: people because I'm hearing I just read what the show
- 7:38Speaker 1: is about, and so do you what do you see
- 7:40Speaker 1: on stage? Because we're gonna see the avatar performing what
- 7:43Speaker 1: do you see on stage? And then we're gonna talk
- 7:45Speaker 1: about the judges. You know what's awesome is that what
- 7:49Speaker 1: I see and what I know everybody else at home
- 7:52Speaker 1: gets to see and no, so you get to know
- 7:54Speaker 1: the true people and you get to learn the true
- 7:57Speaker 1: stories behind the avatars, the that are controlling the avatars
- 8:02Speaker 1: um or alter egos I like to say our alter
- 8:04Speaker 1: egos um. You really get invested into the story. Are
- 8:08Speaker 1: judges Will i Am, Nick Lashay, Atlantis, Morrisette and Grimes.
- 8:11Speaker 1: They have no clue whatsoever who these people are. So
- 8:15Speaker 1: they're discovering each and every week as the show progresses
- 8:19Speaker 1: and goes on. And neither of those our live studio
- 8:21Speaker 1: audience as well, they have no clue either. So it's
- 8:25Speaker 1: it's a fun, fun reveal when they do happen. Um.
- 8:29Speaker 1: But you know, it's all about second chances and and
- 8:32Speaker 1: new opportunity for people. Uh, Everybody's like, well, what's different
- 8:35Speaker 1: from this singing competition show than singing competition shows? The story?
- 8:40Speaker 1: You know, you have people, uh like, let's just say
- 8:45Speaker 1: Jennifer Hudson didn't fit the American idol mold. Remember she
- 8:49Speaker 1: didn't win because they told her she didn't have the
- 8:52Speaker 1: full package. Why did she have a full package? You know?
- 8:55Speaker 1: We have contestants that have been told their entire life
- 8:59Speaker 1: some a somehow that they weren't the full package. So
- 9:03Speaker 1: we're judging people completely on their talent and their voice,
- 9:08Speaker 1: and that's what matters. The alter ego and and a
- 9:12Speaker 1: lot of senses has been liberating for a lot of
- 9:14Speaker 1: our contestants as well, because they may have a mental
- 9:18Speaker 1: disability or a physical disability that really prohibits them from
- 9:22Speaker 1: being on stage. So with this modernty i G technology,
- 9:27Speaker 1: they're able to fulfill their lifelong dream of being a
- 9:31Speaker 1: musician or being a singer and getting on that stage
- 9:35Speaker 1: through these alter egos. It's quite liberating to not be
- 9:38Speaker 1: judged through a disability or or a gender and be
- 9:42Speaker 1: binary or and just be free, you know. Um So
- 9:46Speaker 1: that's what I love about the show, and that's what
- 9:48Speaker 1: the show, that's what makes us different than this show.
- 9:50Speaker 1: And we're literally stepping into a new wave of how
- 9:53Speaker 1: music is going to be done and how music, how
- 9:55Speaker 1: music artists are are going to be you know, portrayed
- 9:58Speaker 1: as well. This is this is next level technology, next
- 10:01Speaker 1: level stuff. Seriously, I don't know if the world is
- 10:04Speaker 1: ready yet. It's finally here the season of celebration. And
- 10:08Speaker 1: no matter how you celebrate with family and friends, whether
- 10:11Speaker 1: you're preparing for Reis magos or Karamu lighting the Manura,
- 10:15Speaker 1: are going to midnight mass, Coals has just what you
- 10:18Speaker 1: need to make those traditions special. Plus you'll find gifts
- 10:22Speaker 1: for all your loved ones. Send warm wishes with cozy fleeces, sweaters, loungeware,
- 10:27Speaker 1: blankets and throws. Support minority owned or founded brands by
- 10:31Speaker 1: giving gifts from Human Nation and shame moisture, or treat
- 10:34Speaker 1: them to everyone's favorite active wear from top brands like Nike, Adidas,
- 10:39Speaker 1: and under Armour. And in the spirit of giving, Coals
- 10:42Speaker 1: Cares is donating eight million dollars to local nonprofits nationwide
- 10:46Speaker 1: committed to the health and well being of our communities.
- 10:49Speaker 1: No matter how you celebrate, when you shop at Coals,
- 10:53Speaker 1: you're right where you belong. So this season, give with
- 10:56Speaker 1: all your heart with great gifts from Coals or Coals
- 10:59Speaker 1: dot Com. What grows in the forest. Trees, Sure, No
- 11:04Speaker 1: what else grows in the forest. Our imagination, our sense
- 11:07Speaker 1: of wonder, and our family bonds grow too, because when
- 11:11Speaker 1: we disconnect from this and connect with this, we reconnect
- 11:18Speaker 1: with each other. The forest is closer than you think.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Find a forest near you and start exploring. I Discover
- 11:24Speaker 1: the Forest dot org brought to you by the United
- 11:27Speaker 1: States Forest Service and the ad Council. Look for your
- 11:31Speaker 1: children's eyes to see the true magic of a forest.
- 11:34Speaker 1: It's a storybook world for them. You look and see
- 11:37Speaker 1: a tree, They see the wrinkled face of a wizard
- 11:41Speaker 1: with arms outstretched to the sky. They see treasure in pebbles,
- 11:45Speaker 1: They see a windy path that could lead to adventure,
- 11:48Speaker 1: and they see you. They're fearless. Guide. Is this fascinating world?
- 11:53Speaker 1: Find a forest near you and start exploring and discover
- 11:56Speaker 1: the Forest dot org brought to you by the United
- 11:58Speaker 1: States Forest Service and the so Well. I think that
- 12:01Speaker 1: when you you hit, you struck a nerve. When we
- 12:03Speaker 1: are positive there, when we was talking about the disability,
- 12:06Speaker 1: I never thought about that. That's not being promoted in
- 12:09Speaker 1: the commercials that you're just you know, they're promoting the
- 12:11Speaker 1: fact that you know, the whole alter ego, the avatar.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Somebody doesn't look like they will normally look in real life,
- 12:18Speaker 1: but it's immediately struck me. Somebody in the wheelchair and
- 12:21Speaker 1: I'm saying, somebody in the wheelchairs performing, or somebody on crutches,
- 12:24Speaker 1: or somebody you know, maybe have a leg, a prosthetic
- 12:28Speaker 1: leg and stuff like that. They didn't go out there,
- 12:30Speaker 1: but you wouldn't see that in the performance, and they
- 12:33Speaker 1: may be less aware of that from a standpoint of
- 12:36Speaker 1: how people might respond to them, and they can give
- 12:38Speaker 1: one knowing that's not the person that they see. They
- 12:41Speaker 1: see this avatar or this alter ego, which is kind
- 12:45Speaker 1: of brilliant when I think about it. Well, we're saying
- 12:47Speaker 1: you think about it. I mean, definitely on the physical standpoint,
- 12:51Speaker 1: but also on the mental standpoint too. We have great
- 12:54Speaker 1: fighters and great artists. I would say Muhammad Ali and
- 12:58Speaker 1: uh Michael J. Fox just just for a perfect example
- 13:01Speaker 1: that when they're doing their art and their craft, you
- 13:04Speaker 1: would never ever know that they had some type of
- 13:06Speaker 1: disability into the background. Right, So we have the same
- 13:10Speaker 1: situation with some of our contestants where they have a
- 13:13Speaker 1: mental disability that may prohibit them to be in the industry,
- 13:19Speaker 1: but when they're on stage, you would never ever know
- 13:22Speaker 1: that they suffer from an illness or or or This
- 13:25Speaker 1: block alter ego is definitely giving people the opportunity to
- 13:31Speaker 1: not be judged in this judgmental world that we live in. Oh,
- 13:35Speaker 1: that's powerful. That's that's very, very powerful. And then now
- 13:38Speaker 1: that's your premiers betweenty tewod which is a William stay
- 13:41Speaker 1: in third and back to back. It's back to back.
- 13:47Speaker 1: September twenty two is our first episode. In September twenty
- 13:50Speaker 1: three is our second episode. So you're not gonna watch
- 13:52Speaker 1: two of the same shows back to back. You're gonna
- 13:54Speaker 1: say two different episodes, right, And so the reason I
- 13:57Speaker 1: step back because you've been out there. You you you
- 14:00Speaker 1: you're in a good way when I say that. As
- 14:02Speaker 1: far as own television, prime time, this is Fox. This
- 14:06Speaker 1: is another level of millions of people coming to your life.
- 14:09Speaker 1: You know, how do you take it all in? Because
- 14:12Speaker 1: you you're very popular and social media believe you have
- 14:14Speaker 1: a million Instagram followers. You know, that's one of the
- 14:17Speaker 1: places that went because I did my little research. We're
- 14:19Speaker 1: gonna talk about this booty thing in a minute, but
- 14:21Speaker 1: let's stick with alter ego? Now, how does that? How
- 14:24Speaker 1: do you deal with that? You know, because of the
- 14:26Speaker 1: fact that it's so many athletes and I have to
- 14:29Speaker 1: put this being traumatized by negative responses, are being traumatized
- 14:34Speaker 1: by the whole aspect of success. Like you said earlier,
- 14:37Speaker 1: you know, Rashwan, I really was down in the adults
- 14:39Speaker 1: about where I was at in my life and then
- 14:41Speaker 1: this opportunity that came to me and it put me
- 14:43Speaker 1: back out there in the forefront. How do you deal
- 14:46Speaker 1: with that? Because this is big for you, but it
- 14:48Speaker 1: also means that there are other opportunities you have to
- 14:50Speaker 1: be seeking to keep that emotional high. So you're premiering
- 14:54Speaker 1: on the twenty second and three, two separate episodes, back
- 14:57Speaker 1: to back episode they take twelve of them talk about
- 15:00Speaker 1: this roller coaster ride leading up to you. Because you're
- 15:02Speaker 1: doing a lot of media, You're looking fantastic and you're
- 15:04Speaker 1: the one right now, you're the host. It's it's been again.
- 15:08Speaker 1: It's been a dream come true. Uh. It literally was
- 15:12Speaker 1: my vision board and it was my manifestation and I
- 15:15Speaker 1: like dreamt of this show and I've dreamt of this day.
- 15:18Speaker 1: So I'm super excited for everybody to check out alter
- 15:22Speaker 1: egoal Fox. Uh, it's just next level and fun. Like
- 15:27Speaker 1: I love every opportunity that I've had my career to
- 15:31Speaker 1: be fun. Um and this is by far the most
- 15:35Speaker 1: very long time. So um. Yeah. I don't know what
- 15:39Speaker 1: else to say about it because it's it's what I do.
- 15:41Speaker 1: I do. Because we kind of glossed over these judges
- 15:43Speaker 1: and you mentioned them, and I think I need to
- 15:46Speaker 1: go back and take Nick to Shade Grabs where I
- 15:48Speaker 1: am Alan's more set. These are you know, really, we've
- 15:52Speaker 1: just seen this industry where and I'm not saying anything negative,
- 15:55Speaker 1: where these people are are touring professionals. These people are
- 15:58Speaker 1: successful in their fields and now they're on the show
- 16:01Speaker 1: like this together one time. How did you create your
- 16:04Speaker 1: relationships and how do you communicate with them? Because, like
- 16:07Speaker 1: you said, they're looking at animation as we're looking at animation,
- 16:12Speaker 1: and then they got to react to that. Where do
- 16:14Speaker 1: they put their judgment hats on? I guess I should say,
- 16:18Speaker 1: or can you reveal that everybody was everybody was authentically themselves.
- 16:23Speaker 1: I'll say that, and and there was a mutual level
- 16:26Speaker 1: of respect across the board, you know there. I'll say
- 16:30Speaker 1: this Fox had the best of the best when it
- 16:33Speaker 1: came to this absolute from from producers to music director
- 16:38Speaker 1: Adam black Stone, who if you don't know who Adam
- 16:41Speaker 1: black Stone is, you just think of you know, uh,
- 16:45Speaker 1: Quest Love Times. Okay, he's like up there with Quests
- 16:49Speaker 1: and Um, Will I Am and Rhymes. They live in
- 16:52Speaker 1: this futuristic technology world. You know, this is their house,
- 16:58Speaker 1: this is their forefront wal house. Like sometimes I didn't
- 17:01Speaker 1: think I was intellectually capable of having conversations with them,
- 17:04Speaker 1: but this is what they live breathe by. So there
- 17:08Speaker 1: was no better way or better judges to have on
- 17:10Speaker 1: the panel than Will I Am. With his musical background,
- 17:13Speaker 1: he's iconic, the black Eyed Peas. He knows music, he
- 17:16Speaker 1: knows technology and Grimes She's an innovator. She's into technology.
- 17:20Speaker 1: She's an amazing artist and producer as well. The young
- 17:23Speaker 1: people love her. She's a gamer. Um Atlantis Moore said, iconic.
- 17:29Speaker 1: She knows music. She knows vocals, she knows tones, she
- 17:32Speaker 1: knows sounds, she knows lyrics, she knows all of that.
- 17:35Speaker 1: And nick La Shay he knows what it is to
- 17:38Speaker 1: have a big production of big band, a big stage.
- 17:41Speaker 1: You know you're part of a boy band, your your
- 17:43Speaker 1: legendary in that sense as well being part of such
- 17:46Speaker 1: an iconic boy band and and working together with people
- 17:49Speaker 1: and technology, so to be completely honest. For Sean, I
- 17:52Speaker 1: don't think I've ever seen a panel who didn't even
- 17:56Speaker 1: have to do a chemistry test because we all got
- 17:58Speaker 1: along and we all respected each other's space and opinion,
- 18:02Speaker 1: and there were different opinions a lot of times, but
- 18:06Speaker 1: it was still respectable. And you're gonna like to see
- 18:09Speaker 1: the interaction between our judges and and the humanity that
- 18:13Speaker 1: our alter egos were able to bring out of our
- 18:15Speaker 1: judges too. There's a lot of crying, not crying because
- 18:19Speaker 1: it's like a soft story, because that's what I wanted
- 18:21Speaker 1: to ask you, because because you know, madd Singer, it's
- 18:25Speaker 1: much more of a party, you know, it's much more
- 18:27Speaker 1: of a you know. But this, when I'm hearing all
- 18:29Speaker 1: these great stories that you're telling and these reveals have
- 18:33Speaker 1: to be like positively stunning, that's where the crying comes from.
- 18:37Speaker 1: That's where the uplif comes from. That's where I'm gonna
- 18:39Speaker 1: just tell you, I didn't know anything about this show,
- 18:41Speaker 1: Roxy until I reviewed you, because they wouldn't see me
- 18:44Speaker 1: a screen and I respect that, but you have made
- 18:47Speaker 1: me a fan of this show. I want to see it.
- 18:49Speaker 1: I want to see the backstory. They send you something too,
- 18:52Speaker 1: I don't be sure they send you something this is
- 18:56Speaker 1: I'm gonna wait because I'm gonna tell you only reason
- 18:58Speaker 1: I was just you know, I'm gonna be show. I
- 19:00Speaker 1: think I run the world anyway, and so but in
- 19:03Speaker 1: the hearing your story, your pitch, your this interview, I
- 19:07Speaker 1: want to see the show because of the fact that
- 19:09Speaker 1: it's something about you know, you see the Paralympics. You know,
- 19:12Speaker 1: everybody wants to be treated normal. That's why you do
- 19:16Speaker 1: these differently. And to have a show that kind of
- 19:18Speaker 1: like levels the playing field of entertainment, I think it's
- 19:22Speaker 1: really special. I think it's really really unique and using
- 19:26Speaker 1: technology and having a show like alter ego. Like I
- 19:28Speaker 1: said earlier, it's almost brilliant. Socially, it's it kind of
- 19:31Speaker 1: borderlines on brilliant because of the fact that everybody has
- 19:35Speaker 1: this dream, even if you even though you know, everybody
- 19:38Speaker 1: dreams to be younger, everybody's dreams to be sexier, everybody
- 19:41Speaker 1: dreams that they can sing in the shower and to
- 19:44Speaker 1: actually come on the show where they can take some
- 19:46Speaker 1: talents that God gave them, but they have not been
- 19:49Speaker 1: able to utilize them because of some mental of physical
- 19:53Speaker 1: uh that that they're different than from what we call normalcy.
- 19:58Speaker 1: It's pretty special and so but you were brought into
- 20:01Speaker 1: this and we need to really hit you what they
- 20:05Speaker 1: was giving you an opportunity to the host? When did
- 20:07Speaker 1: they really hit you? I hit me the first time
- 20:10Speaker 1: I got off set, hit me like I was like, Okay,
- 20:12Speaker 1: I know what I'm about to do. I know what's
- 20:14Speaker 1: to do. But our set is freaking next level, so
- 20:21Speaker 1: freaking cold, and it's so big. I mean like you've
- 20:25Speaker 1: been there with like the big sets, bigger you walk
- 20:29Speaker 1: in and you get that that anxiety and that it's like, oh,
- 20:34Speaker 1: this is next this is amazing, Like you know when
- 20:37Speaker 1: they put money behind absolutely absolutely absolutely this big money
- 20:42Speaker 1: behind this shows gazillion lights in here control so like
- 20:48Speaker 1: we already know you know, the Fox put the bag
- 20:51Speaker 1: in when it came to this show, and it's it's
- 20:54Speaker 1: so cool to watch it. Uh So that was the
- 20:57Speaker 1: first time I got off set. I knew that we
- 20:59Speaker 1: were doing and with something that was next level and
- 21:02Speaker 1: really really special and something that America is gonna love
- 21:05Speaker 1: and families are gonna love because it's something that's never
- 21:08Speaker 1: been seen or done on TV. People try to compare
- 21:11Speaker 1: us to a different, different music show or competition show.
- 21:15Speaker 1: We're just not that, and you're going to see it.

- 22:24Speaker 1: almost on time. This morning, Mom is coming out the
- 22:26Speaker 1: front door strong with a double arm kid carry. Looks
- 22:29Speaker 1: like dad has the bags. Daughter is bringing up the rear.
- 22:33Speaker 1: Oh but the diaper bag wasn't closed. Diapers and toys
- 22:37Speaker 1: are everywhere. Oh but mom has just nailed the perfect
- 22:42Speaker 1: car seat buckle for the toddler. And now the eldest daughter,
- 22:45Speaker 1: who looks to be about nine or ten, has secured
- 22:48Speaker 1: herself in the booster seat. Dad zips the bad clothes
- 22:51Speaker 1: and they're off. Ah, but looks like Mom doesn't realize
- 22:54Speaker 1: her coffee cup is still on the roof of the car,
- 22:57Speaker 1: and there it goes. That's a shame that mug was
- 23:01Speaker 1: a fan favorite. Don't sweat the small stuff. Just nailed

- 23:20Speaker 1: with the with the performers for the first time. Really,
- 23:22Speaker 1: their backstory has been beautiful, but then you just you
- 23:25Speaker 1: still shot this and take this in this COVID time frame.
- 23:28Speaker 1: You know, I just did Jimmy Kimmel with Stephen A
- 23:31Speaker 1: and I had to get the COVID tests on Friday.
- 23:34Speaker 1: I had to get the COVID tests twenty four hours
- 23:37Speaker 1: before I came on set the next day. When just
- 23:39Speaker 1: that Monday, so Sunday had to get another COVID test.
- 23:41Speaker 1: How was it able to I wasn't working in that
- 23:44Speaker 1: environment because we have to work in that environment. We
- 23:46Speaker 1: have to realize that unfortunately, COVID is going to be
- 23:49Speaker 1: with us. And if you don't take the shot, you
- 23:51Speaker 1: may consider taking a shot. I've been double vaccinated because
- 23:54Speaker 1: I want to be able to go through life somewhat normal.
- 23:56Speaker 1: How did the I was production handle with the COVID
- 24:00Speaker 1: and how did you feel about the whole process? Um?
- 24:03Speaker 1: You know, I was one of those during the quarantine
- 24:05Speaker 1: that I didn't go nowhere. I was completely completely paranoid
- 24:08Speaker 1: and stared to go anywhere, even the grocery store. So
- 24:11Speaker 1: Instacart was my best friend. Um, I you know took
- 24:16Speaker 1: my vaccination and everything. UM, I'll say this never have
- 24:21Speaker 1: I felt so comfortable and safe in a production, especially
- 24:25Speaker 1: during the times right now, Uh then doing the show,
- 24:29Speaker 1: we were completely completely COVID aware and woke. I guess
- 24:35Speaker 1: you said you could say to where everybody was tested regularly. Um,
- 24:40Speaker 1: there was no slip up during our production. Fox was
- 24:44Speaker 1: very very strict when it come came to our safety
- 24:47Speaker 1: and the safety of our audience as well, and we
- 24:50Speaker 1: were very conscious about that wild taping. UM, so yes,
- 24:53Speaker 1: there were uh, they were test regularly and nobody had
- 24:59Speaker 1: a p with it, you know, because we're all trying
- 25:01Speaker 1: to keep each other safe. And not only that, but
- 25:04Speaker 1: even during production, you know those weeks that were you
- 25:07Speaker 1: were taping, we quarantines when we weren't on set, and
- 25:10Speaker 1: we were mindful of everybody because it's not just us
- 25:13Speaker 1: and in our contestants, it's you know, the stage handlers,
- 25:16Speaker 1: it's your it's your stage producer, it's your camera guys.
- 25:21Speaker 1: You know, you gotta be mindful of everybody. So you know,
- 25:24Speaker 1: we we they played it very very strict and and
- 25:28Speaker 1: and kept us very very safe, which I'm very grateful for.
- 25:30Speaker 1: And and there was no hiccups. We were we were friends.
- 25:33Speaker 1: You know, I want you to talk about this recipes here,
- 25:37Speaker 1: but I wanted this this show. I want to just
- 25:39Speaker 1: focus on I want to bring you back if you
- 25:40Speaker 1: have time to talk about, you know, the cooking side,
- 25:43Speaker 1: because I'm a foodie nut. But I want to be
