- 2:05Speaker 1: listening to the voice, Come on now dig me want
- 2:10Speaker 1: and only Steve Harvey got what radio show man? What
- 2:16Speaker 1: you're doing with it? Trying to do the very very
- 2:19Speaker 1: best I can with it? I really am. You know
- 2:22Speaker 1: I get tired sometimes on my journey. I'm not gonna
- 2:25Speaker 1: kid you. UM. Trying to make something about yourself is
- 2:31Speaker 1: a task. UM. If you want to attempt to do
- 2:35Speaker 1: something and and and understand going in that that the
- 2:41Speaker 1: if the thing you're trying to do is to improve yourself,
- 2:45Speaker 1: to better your position, to better your relationship, your family, anything,
- 2:52Speaker 1: you're trying to be a better you. You're trying to
- 2:55Speaker 1: make more money, you're trying to get it together, you're
- 2:59Speaker 1: trying to change If any of those things are in
- 3:04Speaker 1: your hopes and dreams. Know this right here, you are
- 3:09Speaker 1: about to face some challenges. But you might as well
- 3:14Speaker 1: go ahead anyway and face those challenges, because if you don't,
- 3:19Speaker 1: you have a whole other set of challenges to face.
- 3:22Speaker 1: You know, it's a it's a It's an amazing thing. Man,
- 3:25Speaker 1: How people sit around and they watch other people strike
- 3:29Speaker 1: out to become successful. And they sit in the stands
- 3:32Speaker 1: watching these people play out these games, and they and
- 3:36Speaker 1: they and they criticize, They boo, they laugh at their
- 3:39Speaker 1: efforts and everything, and they talk about the fairies. He
- 3:43Speaker 1: missed that game when it shot. Boy, he sucked. Man,
- 3:46Speaker 1: he did this. He ain't worth that. I hear people
- 3:50Speaker 1: who sit and stands who criticize people who are out
- 3:56Speaker 1: there on the playing field. Now, when you're on the
- 4:00Speaker 1: playing field, you have a set of challenges in front
- 4:04Speaker 1: of you. You're going to be open to criticism, You're
- 4:07Speaker 1: going to be open to ridicule. You're going to be
- 4:10Speaker 1: talked about when you don't know the people who are
- 4:13Speaker 1: talking about you. Now, here's the upside to being the
- 4:21Speaker 1: player on the field that's facing all the challenges, to criticisms,
- 4:26Speaker 1: the laughing, the joke, to being talked about. He has
- 4:31Speaker 1: something going for him. This person, boy, woman, child, girl,
- 4:37Speaker 1: man has an opportunity to win. They have an opportunity
- 4:44Speaker 1: to win. And then the game of life. Just because
- 4:50Speaker 1: you lose one of the games, or you lose one
- 4:52Speaker 1: of the matches, it don't mean you've lost. You don't
- 4:56Speaker 1: get put out. You keep playing. And when you're playing,
- 5:02Speaker 1: here's the upside. You have the opportunity to win. And
- 5:06Speaker 1: but guess what, You're gonna win some of the matches.
- 5:08Speaker 1: You're gonna win some of the points. You're gonna make
- 5:10Speaker 1: some of the dunks. You're gonna hit some of them
- 5:12Speaker 1: over the wall. You're gonna hit some of them out
- 5:14Speaker 1: the park. You're gonna score some goals. You will if
- 5:18Speaker 1: you're playing the game. Here's the problem with the people
- 5:23Speaker 1: who don't face the criticism, who nobody boos or cheers for,
- 5:29Speaker 1: who sits in the stands and knows neither victory nor defeat.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Those people, without realizing it, are facing a set of
- 5:41Speaker 1: challenges also. And the challenges they're facing is how I'm
- 5:46Speaker 1: gonna live with myself? What I'm gonna do now? What
- 5:53Speaker 1: direction am I going in? Where am I gonna live?
- 6:01Speaker 1: Wonder what job will hire me. I wonder if I
- 6:06Speaker 1: can get paid for criticize. Oh woe is me? I
- 6:13Speaker 1: can't find the purpose in my life. And man, I'm
- 6:17Speaker 1: just waking up in a state of confusion. I don't
- 6:19Speaker 1: know what to do. Now, let me ask you something
- 6:24Speaker 1: which one of them said, of challenges you rather be
- 6:26Speaker 1: faced with. Because if I'm on the flow playing, if
- 6:30Speaker 1: I'm on the field playing, if I'm out on the
- 6:32Speaker 1: court playing, then guess what I got a chance at winning?
- 6:37Speaker 1: But guess what I'm doing every day while I'm playing.
- 6:40Speaker 1: I'm strategizing. I'm waking up with a purpose. I'm waking
- 6:44Speaker 1: up trying to come up with another angle. I'm in
- 6:48Speaker 1: pursuit of a goal every single day. Versus the people
- 6:55Speaker 1: in the stands who know neither victor nor defeat. Get
- 7:04Speaker 1: in the game. Face the challenges. Better yourself, better your wife,
- 7:10Speaker 1: better your children, better your condition, better your employment status,
- 7:13Speaker 1: better your job, better your career. Take a shot. Come on, man,
- 7:17Speaker 1: what you're waiting on? Because the alternative is to watch
- 7:21Speaker 1: other people play the game? You know? And I just
- 7:25Speaker 1: do Sometimes Sometimes I just I get Forbes magazine or
- 7:29Speaker 1: Money magazine, or sometimes I still grab a copy of
- 7:33Speaker 1: rob Report. I just flipped through it just to see.
- 7:37Speaker 1: I used to get these this book called Unique Homes.
- 7:40Speaker 1: Unique Homes is a magazine that just has a lot
- 7:43Speaker 1: of extravagant houses that's on sale across the country, across
- 7:46Speaker 1: the world. I used to just flip through. Man, let
- 7:49Speaker 1: me just see, Man, what the people that's playing the
- 7:53Speaker 1: game out there doing. Stop watching other people become successful
- 7:57Speaker 1: when you could very easily be you if you make
- 8:00Speaker 1: the decision. But when you make the decision to become successful,
- 8:04Speaker 1: get ready for a series of challenges. I think it's
- 8:08Speaker 1: more difficult not to accept the challenge. I think it's
- 8:13Speaker 1: for me. This is just for me. It may not
- 8:15Speaker 1: be the case for you. For me, I think it's
- 8:17Speaker 1: far more difficult to wake up and just see how
- 8:19Speaker 1: life gonna go today, because man, it could just deal
- 8:22Speaker 1: you any kind of hand today. You understand, I don't like,
- 8:29Speaker 1: you know, spades. Let's let's talk a card game, folk Town,
- 8:32Speaker 1: the game of spades. Really, man, it ain't a whole
- 8:35Speaker 1: lot you can do if you don't get no spades. Really,
- 8:38Speaker 1: it's a little couple of little strategies you're gonna do.
- 8:41Speaker 1: But you can have all this age, keen, queen diamond
- 8:43Speaker 1: all you want, but man, you ain't got no spades.
- 8:45Speaker 1: They're cutting them. You're in trouble. Be it whist. Different game.
- 8:50Speaker 1: You can create what's in your hand. You got dealt
- 8:53Speaker 1: a hand too, But you can create a hand. You
- 8:56Speaker 1: can call a trump. You can make diame your spades.
- 9:01Speaker 1: You can make it hard to clubs your spades. That's
- 9:03Speaker 1: what I'm saying. That's what it is. You can do
- 9:05Speaker 1: something with it. It's a different game, man, you can strategize.
- 9:09Speaker 1: I would rather have a say so in my life
- 9:11Speaker 1: than to wake up every day and just see how
- 9:13Speaker 1: it's going. I think it's more difficult to not accept
- 9:16Speaker 1: the challenge to be something than it is to accept
- 9:19Speaker 1: the challenge to be something. I think it's more difficult
- 9:22Speaker 1: to sit around and not be nothing. I think it's
- 9:25Speaker 1: harder to watch everybody's life going somewhere but mine. I
- 9:28Speaker 1: think it would be very difficult for me to sit
- 9:30Speaker 1: here and hear them talking about other people and never
- 9:33Speaker 1: mentioned my name. I would be difficult for me to
- 9:36Speaker 1: see everybody rise and getting promotions accept me. That would
- 9:40Speaker 1: be difficult for me. It may not be for you,
- 9:42Speaker 1: but for me, it would be quite challenging. I would
- 9:45Speaker 1: rather accept the challenge of making something out of my
- 9:48Speaker 1: life than to sit there and criticize those and then
- 9:52Speaker 1: watch and see how my life just may go. Okay,
- 9:55Speaker 1: just a thought. Today you're listening show ladies, gentlemen, let
- 10:04Speaker 1: me have your attention please to Steve Harvey's voice. Hey, y'all,

- 12:55Speaker 1: You just feel. Now that I'm on day time TV,

- 13:30Speaker 1: and Ohio High School is doing away with distinctions of

- 13:47Speaker 1: it's graduation season. We all know that, and check this out.
- 13:50Speaker 1: And Ohio High School is doing away with distinctions of

- 13:58Speaker 1: overall the reduced the overall competitive culture between students. Yeah, yeah, what, Steve.
- 14:05Speaker 1: I agree. You've been in that situation exactly because I
- 14:10Speaker 1: knew I wasn't gonna win it. So what I'm trying
- 14:12Speaker 1: for definitely reduced it in me. Uh huh, I knew
- 14:19Speaker 1: good and whale who was gonna win it at our school.
- 14:23Speaker 1: That little smart ass girl and that little smart ass boy.
- 14:28Speaker 1: I know everything. They were so smart. I don't even
- 14:31Speaker 1: know their names. What do you mean you didn't know
- 14:35Speaker 1: their names? I did. I didn't even know their name
- 14:37Speaker 1: because they were too smart. It was always studying. They
- 14:39Speaker 1: would never outside playing round. Yeah, I ain't know nobody.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Like hell, we can't be friends. But a little healthy
- 14:50Speaker 1: competition was good for for the morale and spirit. Though.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Now if you ain't gonna win s yeah, it ain't
- 14:59Speaker 1: no fun. School officials. Steve said that it's not just
- 15:03Speaker 1: about the grade, it's about the whole child. Uh. Those
- 15:06Speaker 1: with a GPA of four point zero and higher will
- 15:09Speaker 1: be recognized as Suma Kumblatti. That's of course the highest distinction.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Those who were between three point seven five and three
- 15:16Speaker 1: nine will be magna Kumblatti with great honor. That's what
- 15:20Speaker 1: that means, of course, and those who were between three
- 15:22Speaker 1: point five and three point seven will be designated Kumblatti
- 15:27Speaker 1: with honor. Okay, they'll have some recognition, yea, yeah, yeah,

- 16:35Speaker 1: I had a four point four point four four point
- 16:42Speaker 1: two four three four three. I think for three you
- 16:46Speaker 1: would have been summa cumlatdie. You would have been that
- 16:48Speaker 1: highest distinction. Four three. Those were the GPA of four
- 16:55Speaker 1: and higher will be recognized as summer Kumladie highest distinction.
- 16:58Speaker 1: See if you told her all great points for the
- 17:01Speaker 1: three years I was in high school that waist. That's
- 17:08Speaker 1: the only way I didn't got one four years And
- 17:14Speaker 1: if you total it, it comes out to a four,
- 17:17Speaker 1: so that means what one each year? I don't stand
- 17:23Speaker 1: down there something, man, I mean like if you like
- 17:25Speaker 1: a if you're a d student borderline, see like a
- 17:29Speaker 1: sixty nine or something. Yeah, you ought to you ought
- 17:33Speaker 1: to be a live to just get on buy or
- 17:37Speaker 1: if your parents could be rich and just buy your
- 17:40Speaker 1: way in. Yeah, my daddy didn't. I had to hustle
- 17:46Speaker 1: for lunch car. My daddy didn't buy me a lunch car. Yeah,
- 17:50Speaker 1: if my daddy had to pay for college, I wouldn't win. Honestly,
- 17:57Speaker 1: it's not for everyone. I see what you're saying, and
- 17:59Speaker 1: look at you. You unwell you can in spite of man,
- 18:04Speaker 1: that's really different. I didn't even see our valtorian to today.
- 18:07Speaker 1: We graduated where he been. I'd never seen him before.
- 18:14Speaker 1: So do you think guys think it's okay to do this,
- 18:18Speaker 1: you know, to do away with those distinctions, or you
- 18:21Speaker 1: think it's cool it's just one person Vale Victorian. Got
- 18:25Speaker 1: a lot of smart smartest, Well, then that's what you
- 18:28Speaker 1: suposed to have. Well, the smartest. I ain't never seen

- 18:58Speaker 1: I think you need to hold up, hold up, hold
- 19:03Speaker 1: are you right? What is it though? It's Valedictorian? Yes, yes, yes, Valedictorian.
- 19:16Speaker 1: Yes you thought it was all the time. I'm Valor Victorian,
- 19:25Speaker 1: you know, Victor Victorian, Victor Victory, like the Victorian, you
- 19:30Speaker 1: the one that won the victory Victorians val And it's
- 19:34Speaker 1: what is it? Valor? Yeah? D I r I oh
- 19:40Speaker 1: it's not too much. No, no, it's just one word.

- 23:14Speaker 1: I just you know, I've just been taking it either.
- 23:16Speaker 1: I can't do nothing really right now. And they told

- 29:02Speaker 1: sad news guys, comedy legend Tim Conway and Carol Burnette's
- 29:07Speaker 1: co star on her long running variety show, The Carol
- 29:10Speaker 1: Burnette Show, passed away Tuesday in Los Angeles. Man, really
- 29:15Speaker 1: sad news, especially for you, Steve and all the comedians
- 29:19Speaker 1: on the show. He was an icon, right man. No man,
- 29:24Speaker 1: Him and Harvey Kormann with Carol Burnette. I had Carol
- 29:29Speaker 1: Burnette on my show last year. It was a great
- 29:33Speaker 1: moment for me to meet her because my asked, Steve,
- 29:37Speaker 1: I actually got that from the Carol Burnette show because
- 29:40Speaker 1: Carol used to go out and take questions from the crowd,
- 29:45Speaker 1: and that's where I got that from. I said, Man,
- 29:48Speaker 1: I could do that. I always wanted to do that
- 29:50Speaker 1: and her Harvey Korman and Tim Conwayllo was funny when
- 30:00Speaker 1: character don't go, they came, which was every day a week,
- 30:03Speaker 1: every skin And because Tim Conway used to crack Harvey
- 30:08Speaker 1: Corman up, he was going for him. Though. Yes he
- 30:11Speaker 1: couldn't keep face in front of Tim Conway. He just
- 30:14Speaker 1: couldn't do it. He comes reading that in People magazine
- 30:18Speaker 1: taught me that. Tim Conway said that was his goal
- 30:20Speaker 1: and make you break. Well. He did it, like you say, Steve,
- 30:29Speaker 1: every single week. Yeah. Yeah. A lot of comedians were
- 30:33Speaker 1: posting about him today on the Gram. Yeah, would you
- 30:40Speaker 1: come in you? Tim Conway's rep says Tim was battling
- 30:45Speaker 1: complications from um nph Okay, that's an accumulation of spinal
- 30:53Speaker 1: fluid on the brain UM. Tim, along with a late
- 30:57Speaker 1: Harvey Corman start brilliantly on the car Burnette's Show, as
- 31:01Speaker 1: we just shared with you guys. Their scenes with Carol
- 31:03Speaker 1: were legendary as all three, they just constantly tried and
- 31:08Speaker 1: often succeeded almost every every time they did, and making
- 31:12Speaker 1: each other crack up on camera. Man, that was their
- 31:16Speaker 1: goal in life. That was that was. It was greatness
- 31:19Speaker 1: for us though, growing up watching them. What about that
- 31:25Speaker 1: soap opera ya yas curtain Jeff as the stomach turns
- 31:36Speaker 1: to spin off? Was Mama's was Mama's, wasn't it? Oh? Yeah,
- 31:39Speaker 1: Mama's family? Man? Oh my god, hated a daughter unis.
- 31:53Speaker 1: If you don't see, I wish you mate, man. Yeah,
- 32:02Speaker 1: it was funny that Vicky Lawrence, being the younger of
- 32:05Speaker 1: the two, played the mom. She played Carol Burnette's Carol
- 32:09Speaker 1: Burnette's mom, and she always played her younger sister on
- 32:11Speaker 1: the regular show. But um, yeah, our prayers and our
- 32:14Speaker 1: condolences go out to Tim Conway's wife and his entire family.
- 32:19Speaker 1: R I P. Tim Conway gave us a lot a
- 32:22Speaker 1: lot of laughs. Yeah, definitely. And in other entertainment news, guys,
- 32:28Speaker 1: Diddy is taking a break, he says from social media. Yeah,
- 32:34Speaker 1: he took to Instagram on Monday to announce that he's
- 32:38Speaker 1: back off the grid. He's been fairly active on social
- 32:41Speaker 1: media in the eight months since the passing of his
- 32:43Speaker 1: ex girlfriend and mother of his children, Kim Porter. So
- 32:46Speaker 1: he's off for a while now, taking a break. Yeah, sometimes. Yeah,
- 32:52Speaker 1: I've seen a lot of people do that. Yeah, just
- 32:54Speaker 1: take a break from it. Yeah yeah, yeah, I don't
- 32:59Speaker 1: will do that, take a break. Yeah. I don't want
- 33:01Speaker 1: to break from mine. I just want to be on,
- 33:03Speaker 1: to break from everybody else's. I just want y'all to
- 33:10Speaker 1: take me off. Y'all. All right, Steve, Time for today's headline,
- 33:14Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, miss Anne Tripp. Thank you very much,
- 33:17Speaker 1: everybody in good morning. This is a troop of the news.
- 33:20Speaker 1: A Texas police officer reportedly shot and killed a forty
- 33:23Speaker 1: four year old woman while trying to arrest her on
- 33:25Speaker 1: some outstanding warrants as she shouted I'm pregnant. I th
- 33:29Speaker 1: already say that. The unnamed cop came across the woman
- 33:31Speaker 1: while on patrol just east of Houston, claims he recognized
- 33:34Speaker 1: her from previous encounters tried to taze her, but he
- 33:37Speaker 1: claims she grabbed the tasi and used it on him.
- 33:39Speaker 1: He then says shot. He shot and killed her even
- 33:42Speaker 1: as she said she was pregnant. The incidant under investigation.
- 33:44Speaker 1: All police are saying now is that they say the
- 33:47Speaker 1: woman was not pregnant. In Alabama, Republican dominated state Senate
- 33:51Speaker 1: has passed a measure that makes abortion of felony at
- 33:54Speaker 1: any stage, doesn't mean any abortion any time, and punishable
- 33:57Speaker 1: wipe to ninety nine years or life in prison if
- 34:00Speaker 1: you do it. The measure now goes to Governor kiv
- 34:02Speaker 1: She's a Republican. She has not said though, if she
- 34:05Speaker 1: supports the bill or not. In what at least appears
- 34:08Speaker 1: to be a case of turnaround is fair play. Attorney
- 34:10Speaker 1: John and William Barr has now appointed Connecticut's top federal
- 34:13Speaker 1: prosecutor to look in how the Russian election medaling probe
- 34:16Speaker 1: got started. US Attorney John Durham, a Trump appointee, of course,
- 34:20Speaker 1: has been tasked to see if the government's collection of
- 34:23Speaker 1: intelligence involving the Trump campaign was quote lawful and appropriate
- 34:27Speaker 1: and the Durham's appointment, by the way, it comes about
- 34:29Speaker 1: a month after William Barr told the Congress that he
- 34:31Speaker 1: believed that quote spying did occur against the twenty sixteen campaign.
- 34:36Speaker 1: Congression Republicans also say they will look into how the
- 34:39Speaker 1: Russia probe began. Also from a White House, aid almirosa
- 34:43Speaker 1: Newman member, her she's asking to add her name to
- 34:45Speaker 1: a lawsuit accusing President Trump's twenty sixteen campaign of violating
- 34:48Speaker 1: the labor laws by paying female staffers only to about
- 34:51Speaker 1: twenty percent less than the mail guys got the mail
- 34:54Speaker 1: the mail's got, not the male guys. According to data
- 34:56Speaker 1: from the Federal Election Commission, the women who worked on
- 34:58Speaker 1: Downaltrwn's presidential campaign were paid about thirty eight hundred dollars
- 35:01Speaker 1: a month. The men they work with paid just under
- 35:03Speaker 1: forty six hundred, which is an eighteen point two percent
- 35:06Speaker 1: gap on Morosa stayed in a sworn statement that she
- 35:09Speaker 1: was paid fourteen thousand dollars a month, but her male counterpart,
- 35:12Speaker 1: who did the same job was paid nineteen thousand dollars
- 35:16Speaker 1: a month. It's everyone, I guess. An Egyptian princess facing
- 35:19Speaker 1: a backlash in her country for appearing in a TV
- 35:22Speaker 1: comedy show in blackface meant to be a demeaning invitation
- 35:25Speaker 1: of a Sudanese woman. Sudanese people over. They're very, very upset.
- 35:28Speaker 1: They're threatening a boycott. Sad news comedian, Yes, just heard

- 38:54Speaker 1: after the hour, a story that's trending on social media.
- 38:58Speaker 1: This story is so horrific. Uh, we'll talk about it
- 39:04Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to show a shaky cell
- 39:10Speaker 1: phone video captured the moments before a Texas police officer
- 39:14Speaker 1: shot and killed a woman who claimed she was pregnant.
- 39:19Speaker 1: So much wrong with just that first sentence. Okay, Now,
- 39:23Speaker 1: people on social media are divided over whether the shooting
- 39:27Speaker 1: was justified. I don't even get that. The officer was
- 39:31Speaker 1: patrolling an apartment complex in the Houston suburb of Baytown.
- 39:35Speaker 1: You guys know exactly where that is. This happened, yeah
- 39:40Speaker 1: twenty five, Yeah, you guys, this happened late Monday, when
- 39:44Speaker 1: the officers saw a woman he knew from previous encounters.
- 39:47Speaker 1: This is according to Baytown Police. A family member identified
- 39:51Speaker 1: the woman as Pamela Chantay Turner. That's Pamela Shante Turner
- 39:56Speaker 1: h In a text message tuesday, Police Lieutenant Steve Dorris
- 39:59Speaker 1: said Turner was not pregnant okay. The officer knew the woman.
- 40:04Speaker 1: She was forty five years old. He knew that she
- 40:07Speaker 1: had outstanding warrants and started trying to arrest her. This
- 40:11Speaker 1: is according to police. Police say the officer shot the
- 40:14Speaker 1: woman after she grabbed his taser and fired it at him.
- 40:19Speaker 1: A witness his cell phone video showed the woman yelling
- 40:22Speaker 1: at the officer, I'm walking. I'm actually walking to my house.
- 40:27Speaker 1: The woman screams at him. She later says the officer
- 40:31Speaker 1: is harassing her. The video shows the officer apparently trying
- 40:35Speaker 1: to handcuff the woman, but she breaks free. The officer
- 40:39Speaker 1: then fires his taser gun and the woman slowly drops
- 40:43Speaker 1: to the ground. A scuffle ensues. The woman keeps yelling why,
- 40:48Speaker 1: but the officer isn't heard answering. As the officer keeps
- 40:52Speaker 1: trying to arrest the woman, she flails her arms and yells,
- 40:56Speaker 1: I'm pregnant. The struggle continued, and, according to Baytown police.
- 41:02Speaker 1: The woman was able to gain control of the taser
- 41:05Speaker 1: and used it on the officer. In the video, the
- 41:09Speaker 1: woman appears to reach for the officer, who stands back
- 41:12Speaker 1: and fires five shots toward her. She killed her, Yeah,
- 41:17Speaker 1: he killed her. I saw the video. Yeah, it ain't
- 41:20Speaker 1: the same thing the video at all. That's a complete
- 41:25Speaker 1: you know. The sad part of this, first of all,
- 41:30Speaker 1: social media is really you're divided on this on social media.
- 41:35Speaker 1: I don't see how anybody can be divided. The sad
- 41:39Speaker 1: part about this is the people that's divided comprised of jewelries.
- 41:43Speaker 1: They make up jewels. Yeah, and it's so sad, man.
- 41:48Speaker 1: And I am telling you, ninety nine percent of black
- 41:53Speaker 1: people who will watch this video will see an injustice occur. Yeah.
- 42:00Speaker 1: That when it comes to some people who are not
- 42:03Speaker 1: of this culture, when they see a video that depicts
- 42:06Speaker 1: what exactly what we all see, they see something totally different.
- 42:11Speaker 1: You're right, you're right. That's that's completely alarming, man, You're right,
- 42:15Speaker 1: that's completely alarming to me. How that can possibly be now, Steve.
- 42:20Speaker 1: The officer's name has not been released, but Baytown police
- 42:23Speaker 1: say he is an eleven year veteran of the department.
- 42:26Speaker 1: He is on paid administrative leave as authorities investigate. He's
- 42:31Speaker 1: on lead. She's dead always, yes, okay, and and and
- 42:39Speaker 1: get this. Police are asking the person who shot the
- 42:42Speaker 1: cell phone video to come forward to help with the investigation.
- 42:48Speaker 1: You have the video, I don't know what evidence. It's
- 42:52Speaker 1: gonna be hard for somebody to come forward with that
- 42:55Speaker 1: video because of what can happen to them. Right. The
- 43:00Speaker 1: police officer said, it's unfortunate that somebody would take a
- 43:03Speaker 1: tragic incident like this and start posting it on social media.
- 43:07Speaker 1: That's extremely disrespectful for everyone involved. Meanwhile, wait a minute,
- 43:13Speaker 1: Wait a minute, they're saying this shouldn't have been posted
- 43:15Speaker 1: on social media. Yes, that's it's unfortunate that someone would
- 43:18Speaker 1: take a tragic accident like this and start posting it
- 43:21Speaker 1: on social media. That's extremely disrespectful for everyone involved. Meanwhile,
- 43:27Speaker 1: the woman's family, Pamela Chante Turner's family says that they
- 43:32Speaker 1: told CNN that police have not shared any details with
- 43:36Speaker 1: the family about the shooting. The woman has two children
- 43:40Speaker 1: there in their twenties, she has three grandchildren. She's gone, yeah, yeah,
- 43:46Speaker 1: this guy standing over her, yes, all the power does
- 43:49Speaker 1: nothing she can do? Yeah, and you hit a five
- 43:52Speaker 1: time and kill them. I know it's really horrific. And
- 43:56Speaker 1: we'll be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 43:58Speaker 1: Show right after this you're listening show coming up at
- 44:04Speaker 1: the top of the hour, right about four minutes after.

- 45:56Speaker 1: and you'll give you all the details. Oh okay, so
- 45:59Speaker 1: so something did happen to my car? Um? Once I
- 46:03Speaker 1: give him my manager your ticket number, he'll call you
- 46:05Speaker 1: back shortly and he'll tell you everything. Okay, Well, can
- 46:09Speaker 1: you have him give me a call as soon as possible,
- 46:11Speaker 1: because I would like to know what happened to my
- 46:14Speaker 1: car if something happened. This is I don't I don't
- 46:16Speaker 1: really understand what's going on here. I'm sorry. I have
- 46:19Speaker 1: to go, but you can't tell me anything else before
- 46:21Speaker 1: you leave. I mean, there's no details that you can
- 46:23Speaker 1: give me about anything with my car. Like I said,
- 46:25Speaker 1: my manager will handle it. I have to get going perfect, Orlando.
- 46:31Speaker 1: That's perfect. I got it from you, bro. I appreciate.
- 46:34Speaker 1: Let's call him back. Hello. Hello, Is this is this

- 48:14Speaker 1: Right now? Well, hold on, hold on, I understand, I understand.
- 48:17Speaker 1: Let me ask you something. Is there a way? Um?
- 48:20Speaker 1: Is there a way? Maybe you can come by tomorrow
- 48:22Speaker 1: and we can try to work. Come now and just
- 48:24Speaker 1: see it. You know, No, there is no way I'm
- 48:27Speaker 1: coming by tomorrow for a car that's listening today. First
- 48:31Speaker 1: of all, we need to get the police involved in this.
- 48:32Speaker 1: I don't even know what mister frank right now, mister Frank,
- 48:38Speaker 1: we don't want to get the police involved in this.
- 48:41Speaker 1: We Who is we? Because I damn sure want to
- 48:44Speaker 1: get the police involved. So who is I'm just saying
- 48:47Speaker 1: we Listen, I don't want to lose my job because
- 48:50Speaker 1: we lost the car. If you just give me some
- 48:51Speaker 1: time to find in the car, That's all I want
- 48:53Speaker 1: you to do, is give me some time. Let me
- 48:55Speaker 1: go by this guy's house where he lives and see
- 48:57Speaker 1: if the car is there. You should already be in
- 48:59Speaker 1: a car driving yo, ask to this man's house talking
- 49:04Speaker 1: to me right now. Okay, the fact that you're not there,
- 49:06Speaker 1: it's malpractice. I'm calling the police. I'm suing the building
- 49:09Speaker 1: on I'm suing the managers. I'm suing the who made
- 49:12Speaker 1: the valet box. I'm sure everybody affiliated with your business

- 49:26Speaker 1: this parking lot? Are you a manager? What's your occuproblem? Sir?
- 49:30Speaker 1: Why are you going to manager? I'm the manager here?
- 49:33Speaker 1: An Orlando called you earlier, okay, and we're trying to

- 52:39Speaker 1: and listen. If you need advice on relationships, on sex,
- 52:43Speaker 1: on dating, on work, on parenting, and more, please submit
- 52:47Speaker 1: your Strawberry Letter to Steve Harvey f M and click
- 52:50Speaker 1: submit Strawberry Letter. We could be reading your letter live
- 52:53Speaker 1: on the air, just like we're gonna read this one
- 52:56Speaker 1: right now. Buckle up, hold on tight. We gotta call you.
- 53:00Speaker 1: It is Strawberry Letter. Subject is a good heart and
- 53:04Speaker 1: good personality Enough. Here Stephen Shirley. I've been dating someone
- 53:09Speaker 1: special for four months and so far he is amazing.
- 53:14Speaker 1: He loves the Lord, and he has a great personality
- 53:17Speaker 1: and a great career. When we first started dating, he
- 53:20Speaker 1: did not want to rush sex, so we waited a
- 53:23Speaker 1: little beyond it ninety days to become lovers. Since things
- 53:27Speaker 1: were going so great, I took him to meet my parents.
- 53:30Speaker 1: He fit in like a glove and they both told
- 53:33Speaker 1: me that he just might be the one for me.
- 53:36Speaker 1: The day after my boyfriend met my parents, I told
- 53:39Speaker 1: him that I would love to meet his family. Next,
- 53:42Speaker 1: he totally avoided the conversation and started talking about the
- 53:46Speaker 1: NBA games. I waited and brought the subject back up
- 53:50Speaker 1: later before we went to bed. He dismissed me again
- 53:54Speaker 1: by saying that he does not deal with his family
- 53:57Speaker 1: like that, so I could stop pressing the issue. So
- 54:00Speaker 1: here's my problem with what he said. It's a lie. Surely.
- 54:06Speaker 1: He talks to his mom at least twice a week.
- 54:09Speaker 1: He tuchs his sister daily and shows me funny things
- 54:13Speaker 1: she posts on social media. He plays basketball at the
- 54:16Speaker 1: gym with his brothers at least once a week. His
- 54:19Speaker 1: grandmother recently had surgery, and he goes by her house
- 54:23Speaker 1: every other day to check on her and keep her company.
- 54:26Speaker 1: By him not wanting me to meet his family, I'm
- 54:28Speaker 1: getting a bit self conscious, like maybe I'm not the
- 54:31Speaker 1: type of woman that he would take home to his family.
- 54:34Speaker 1: He always says he is dating me for my heart
- 54:37Speaker 1: and personality, So does that mean I'm not pretty enough
- 54:40Speaker 1: to meet them? I'm dealing with a lot of self
- 54:45Speaker 1: doubt and I feel like this might cause our breakup.
- 54:48Speaker 1: How can I let him know how I feel without
- 54:51Speaker 1: nagging him? Please help all right. Well, first of all,
- 54:55Speaker 1: you guys have only been together for four months. I
- 54:59Speaker 1: think it takes guys a little longer than it does
- 55:02Speaker 1: women to decide whether or not to take you to
- 55:06Speaker 1: their family. Four months is not a lot of time there.
- 55:09Speaker 1: But as far as letting him know how you feel,
- 55:12Speaker 1: just let him know. Just because you tell a person
- 55:14Speaker 1: how you feel doesn't mean you're nagging him. It's going
- 55:17Speaker 1: to be a discussion, a conversation, period. And it is
- 55:21Speaker 1: a problem that he lied to you about his family.
- 55:23Speaker 1: I mean, it clearly looks like he doesn't want you
- 55:26Speaker 1: to meet them. I mean he's either not ready, and
- 55:29Speaker 1: that could be the case because you guys haven't been
- 55:31Speaker 1: dating that long, only four months, or he has no
- 55:34Speaker 1: plans whatsoever to introduce you. That could be the other thing.
- 55:38Speaker 1: But the only way you're going to find out is
- 55:40Speaker 1: to actually have an open conversation. I think you should
- 55:43Speaker 1: leave it alone after you tell him how you feel
- 55:45Speaker 1: and you know he doesn't have to lie about it.
- 55:49Speaker 1: I mean, I'm sorry you feel like you know it.
- 55:51Speaker 1: Maybe your looks, but if he specifically said he's dating
- 55:55Speaker 1: you for your heart and personality, there could be something
- 55:59Speaker 1: to that. Hopefully, we'll all come out when you guys
- 56:03Speaker 1: have your talk. But before um, you know, before I
- 56:07Speaker 1: go and hand it over to Steve, I really don't
- 56:10Speaker 1: want you to lose your self confidence, in your self
- 56:12Speaker 1: esteem here, let it go to you. I see it
- 56:18Speaker 1: slipping all through this letter. You gotta know that you
- 56:21Speaker 1: are enough. And please don't let anyone tell you any differently. Okay,
- 56:25Speaker 1: all right, come on, Steve, that anyone I'm seeing. I
- 56:28Speaker 1: said this letters started with a lot of confidence, and
- 56:32Speaker 1: did you win? On? He just started to peel and all.
- 56:35Speaker 1: It's not my job to hold people together. You know.
- 56:39Speaker 1: If you fall in a party, hell, don't write me.
- 56:42Speaker 1: I don't know how to keep you from falling apart.
- 56:44Speaker 1: I just have to help you with the truth. You're
- 56:47Speaker 1: dating somebody special for full months. He's amazing, you know.
- 56:52Speaker 1: It makes him love amazing everybody. He loves the Lord.
- 56:56Speaker 1: He's got a great personality and a great career. When
- 57:00Speaker 1: we first started dating, he didn't even want to rush sex.
- 57:03Speaker 1: I want you to underline this word. He did not
- 57:08Speaker 1: want to rush sex, asked the first clue in this
- 57:16Speaker 1: letter right there. So we waited a little bit beyond
- 57:20Speaker 1: ninety days. I'll be down past. We didn't went down
- 57:29Speaker 1: the ninety day ruse hellway with Steve. I need more time.
- 57:32Speaker 1: This was him. Since things were going so great, I
- 57:36Speaker 1: took him to meet my parents. He fit in like
- 57:38Speaker 1: a glove and they both told me he just might
- 57:42Speaker 1: be the one. He said, just we the one for me.
- 57:45Speaker 1: The day after my boyfriend met my parents, I told
- 57:49Speaker 1: him I would love to meet his family. Next invarted
- 57:52Speaker 1: the conversation talking talking about the NBA, who was gonna
- 57:55Speaker 1: get drafted? What happened to Houston? And come Lebron went
- 58:01Speaker 1: to Cleveland? And then you thought you brought the subject
- 58:06Speaker 1: back up before we went to bed. He dismissed me
- 58:10Speaker 1: again by saying that he don't deal with his family
- 58:12Speaker 1: like that. Wow, so I could stop pressing issue. So
- 58:16Speaker 1: here's my problem with what he's said. It's a lie. Shirley.
- 58:19Speaker 1: See now she's not talking to me anymore because she
- 58:23Speaker 1: already know why Iden did already. So so here's my
- 58:26Speaker 1: problem with what he said. It's a lie Shirley because
- 58:31Speaker 1: she knows Shirley gonna side with her about this guy.
- 58:35Speaker 1: Don't ask Steve because stec through this already. He talks
- 58:39Speaker 1: to his mom at least twice a week. He texts
- 58:41Speaker 1: his sister daily and he shows me funny things she
- 58:44Speaker 1: posts on social media. He played basketball at the Damn
- 58:46Speaker 1: Jim with his brothers Lease once a week. His grandmother
- 58:49Speaker 1: recently had surgery, and he go by her house every
- 58:52Speaker 1: other day check on her and keep her company. By
- 58:55Speaker 1: him not wanting me to meet his family, I'm getting
- 58:58Speaker 1: a bit self conscious, like maybe I'm not the type
- 59:01Speaker 1: of woman he would take home to his family. He
- 59:05Speaker 1: keeps telling you he me, he's dating me for my
- 59:07Speaker 1: hard and personality. Need to write that down, Hold on,
- 59:12Speaker 1: hold on heart and personality. All right, Look, we'll have
- 59:17Speaker 1: part two if Steve's response coming up at twenty three
- 59:20Speaker 1: after the hour. Today's strawberry letter subject is a good
- 59:23Speaker 1: heart and good personality enough. We'll get back into it
- 59:27Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve, Come on,
- 59:33Speaker 1: let's recap today's strawberry letter is a good heart and
- 59:36Speaker 1: good personality enough is the subject dating somebody special. He
- 59:41Speaker 1: loved the Lord great personality career. When we started dating,
- 59:46Speaker 1: he and he want to rush stape, so they waited
- 59:49Speaker 1: beyond ninety days. You told us to write that down. Yeah,
- 59:53Speaker 1: that was his ideal. He needed moment because you're trying
- 59:59Speaker 1: to work all this out in his head, I'm gonna
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: do this, and he felt the pressure. When the ninety
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: days was up, he saw my book sitting on your coffee.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: She expected somebody I know. She rest these books. First
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: chapter nine to day rude were about see how long
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: I can play this? Then you wouldn't met his parents
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: and the boyfriend you took him meet your parents. They
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: said that he could be the one. They were shocked
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: though that's not in the letter, but they was. When
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: you came in the house with him. They were surprised.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: They were surprised. Now they see they was they was.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: They were pretty surprised. He fitted in like a glove
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: and he told me he might just be the one.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: They were surprised, though. Then the day after that, you
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: told me you want to meet the family. He changed sibly,
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: bought off basketball, and then before you went to bed,
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: you asked him again, and then he told you that
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: he closed his family like that, and then you said,
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: well that's her last, Shirley. He talks to his mama
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: at least twice a week and don't talking with me.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: He texts his sister Daly showed me funny thing she pulled,
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: and he played bath Roliga with his brothers once a week.
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: His grandmama got seeing he go bout every day checking
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: on her, but him not wanting me to meet his family.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: I'm getting a bit self conscious. Here we go. This
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: is what this letter is all about. Like, maybe I'm
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: not the type of woman that he would take home
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: to his family. Now when she came to the conclusion,
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: this is you saying I'm not the type of woman
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: that he would take home to his family. He always
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: says he's dating me from my heart and personality, So
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: does that mean I'm not pretty enough to meet Well,
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: he says he's dating me from my heart and personality,
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: and you can't see either one in him. Most Jim
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: is invisible, you can see, So does that mean that
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: I'm not pretty enough to meet them? Well, let's go
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: back all the way back to the top of this letter.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: When he first started dating. He did not want to
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: rush sex, but man, you know, trying to get to
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: the promise that as soon as he can. That was
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: your first clue that maybe he had to work his nerves.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: Then he waited a little bit beyond ninety days that's
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: just going to damn father. Then when you took him
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: to meet his pasty, he met them and saw what
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: they looked like when he decided this ain't work. He
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: saw yo mother and father, and this is what she said.
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: This high went, I'm want y'all listen to gather because
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: his name is Jerome. Mama, daddy, this Jerron, how did
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: your own hege your own? This was Drone's reaction. Wait
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: what hege your own? Hege your own? Jerome? Gasp, he gasped,
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: because y'all parents, your mama, and your he would damn
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: Lord have message. Doesn't no chance she' been to get cute.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: It's nobody in this house. Look at her mama and daddy.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: So now let's go back to the letter. By them
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: not wanting me to meet his family, I'm getting a
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: bit self conscious, like maybe I'm not the type of
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: woman that he would take home to his family. He
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: always says he's dating me for my heart, and so
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: does that mean I'm not pretty enough to meet him?
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: I'm dealing with a lot of self doubt. Ain't you ship?
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: And I feel like this might cause I break up?
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: Y'all already broke up? He broke up with you when
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: he saw your How can I let him know how
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: I feel? I ain't got to tell him how you feel.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: You know how you feel. That's why I love you
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: for your heart and your personality, because you're so strong
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: to keep waking up looking like that, and he admires
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: your heart and personality. But now I even met your
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: mom and daddy, he know this ain't gonna get better.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: It's gonna get worse. He's ain't that chance and a
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: sad thing about your baby. I ain't even gonna lie
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: to you. Probably look jet like him, dad, and which
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: is messing him up even more because you know your mama.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: Your mama had a chance with him. But when you
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: walked in and you and your daddy, girl, you look
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: jet like you dadd All right, listen, you can email
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: us your Instagram as your thought. Coming up at forty
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: six after the hour I told you for your heart
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: and personnelity, I think we're gonna go ahead and do
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: part three of today's subject. Is a good heart and
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: a good personality enough? Apparently not, according to mister Harvey.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this Part three
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: coming up. You're listening to Steven Show. All right, Steve,
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: we're gonna do a part three of today's Strawberry Letter.
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: The subject is a good heart and good personality Enough.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: A young lady wrote in She's been dating a guy
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: for four months so far. He's amazing, he loves the Lord,
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: great personality, great career. She took him to meet her parents.
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: He fit right in. Her parents told her he might
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: be the one for her. So she in turn told him, well,
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: now I think it's time for me to meet your parents. Oohsten.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: He changed the subtects, started talking about the NBA. You
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: take it from there, Steve. And then before they went
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: to bed, she thought she'd bringing up again. Well I
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: can't help meet your parents. So then he turned to
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: let her down easy. He said, look, me and my family,
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: we ain't close like that. Then she told Sherley, Shirley,
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: that's a lie. That is a lie, Sherillley. He talks
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: to his mama twice a week. He texts his sisters
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: every day. He showed me for tough day post on
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: social media. He played basketball at jim with his brother's
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: least once a week. His grandmama got sick head certain
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: he go bout the house day each other. He lying
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: to me shull he close to his family, but not
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: wanting me to meet his family. I'm getting a little
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: bit self conscious, like maybe I'm not the type of
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: woman that he would take home to his family. You
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: already know that you're the one bought it up. I
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: wasn't gonna say nothing about the letter, but you said
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: I'm not the type. He always says he's dating me
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: for my heart and personality. That's what he told you.
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: He ain't saying he's dating you for your looks. He
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: loves your heart and your personality. Now you're gonna have
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: to just trust in that, because that's he ain't giving
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: you nothing else. He's not in it for your looks.
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: He's in it. You're dating you because of your heart
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: and your personality, and you're probably pretty good. I'm just saying, yeah,
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: he never said it. She never said he told her
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: that she was beautiful or anything not that, because well,
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: you know, let me explain something. If you've never heard
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: a person tell you in your life you're beautiful, it's
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: probably cause you're not well. She didn't say that in
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: the letters. Still, Huh, she didn't say that in the letter. Oh,
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: it's all in this damn that he always says he's
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: dating me for my heart and personality. That means you're
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: not acute. You ain't cute? So does that mean I'm
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: not pretty enough to meet them? Are you pretty enough
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: to meet him? But he's not gonna introduce you as
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: this woman? Oh that's all you can go. You can
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: meet him anytime, but just don't tell him. Y'all been together,
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: you've been see him. You better see him. How can
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: I let him know how I feel? Just walk on
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: and know what you love? Glass and tell him, Hey,
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: all right, I'm not feeling this here? All right? Look?
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: Should we? Sometimes you just have to have a big
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: old cry fest? Uh, and we'll talk about crying. It
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: can make you lose weight. Coming up right after this,
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: you're listening, all right, crying can help you lose weight. Guys. Yeah,
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: I didn't know that, did you? I didn't I would
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: have been crying all this time? Sure we God? Yeah?
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: Sometimes having let me let them because it sounds pretty good,
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: and then weak and then week and then weak made love. Sometimes,
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: you know, having a big old cry fest makes you
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: feel better. We can all say that when you get
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: it out like that, well, now we're hearing that a
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: big tear field emotional release like that may actually help
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: you lose weight. Why it's hard to eat when you cry?
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: You choke yourself half trying to eat while you cry. Yeah,
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: it does sound a little hard to believe, but the
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: hormones associated with extreme emotions raised cortisol levels, which can
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: actually lead to a build up of Betty belly fat
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: if not released. That's what's wrong. You need to cry more, Steve.
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: T cortisol. Oh okay, yeah, I don't really have the stomach.
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: I just head quarters. How much crying you got to
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: do it? How much weight I can drop with it? Okay,
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: because you're getting ready to do your tears. All you
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: got to do is just go to area that have
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: a lot of lightning storm. I will be cracked, all right.
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: So it says the type of tears we cried when
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: we're emotional, psychic tears actually reduce cortisol level, Steve, and
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: they can help us lose weight well as monicas. That's
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: true because you know she knows everything when they come
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: to psychologist. What the monica said, I don't um, I
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: don't know definitely, but I do want to ask you this.
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: I will ask you this. When was the last time
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: you guys really cried? Oh, let me see, I'm trying
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: to think. I don't cry that much. So I cried
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: May ten on my dad a birthday. Yeah yeah, I
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: get it at, Yeah, right out of his truck. Get
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: it at. So I've dropped some weight? Yeah yeah, according
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: to the story. You what up? What about you? Ji?
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: If that's what you're doing to lose weight? Coming, you
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: need to cry hard next time when you cry? Why
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: don't you just run alongside Junior Winds? The last time
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: you had a really good cry probably about a about
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: a couple weeks ago. Really, Brian, best friend Brian? Oh
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: the anniversary? Yeah I was coming out yea wow? Yeah yeah,
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: yeah that is sad. I lost some weight too time.
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: Yeah you lose how many pounds? What do you think?
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: I don't know, but if it's cord to the story,
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: I lost no weight. Yeah it was waterweight, but we'll
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: take it. Yeah, necessarily. I can't tell you another time
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: I cry. Okay, don't be don't laugh at me. Okay,
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: you know I won't do that. When they shot their
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: second dragon down a game, I'm gonna lie. I couldn't
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: I couldn't hold it, man, Yeah, because we were down
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: to one, you know, and I got scared. Then. Yeah,
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: I cried one though she used that one, didn't she
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna cry this Sunday, probably because it is the
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: last of Game of Thrones. But I gotta get to
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: Steve tonight, the Sunday. The Sunday. Yeah, that's the last one, Steve,
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: before we before we go. Well, Steve, I just want
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: to know when the last time you cried? Yesterday afternoon?
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: Are you days running together? Yesterday afternoon I cry. I
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: was in my dress room and had a copy of
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: the American Express bill it all right, cry us out
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: of here, Steven, go back, we go back. We're gonna
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: be doing some stuff. We ain't gonna business, dude, And
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: it's still gonna be on that show. And I'll trying
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: to deal with something because a lot of girls did
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: take me to Meta. That's where, dude. That was that
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: pretty ding. You're skinny, Marv. The Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: coming up right after this. Okay, right, baby, you're listening
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: to all right? Good news and bad news for fans
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: of Fox's TV show Empire with the Lions. The network
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: announced that it will return this fall on Fox. But
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: as we told you before, Jesse Smallett remains a question mark.
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: But yeah, yeah, yeah, I think I think, I think
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: he should be giving his role back. I really do. Well.
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: He was acquitted. Yeah, you can't pass gentment on the man,
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: that's right. The charges would dropped. That's not his fault. Yeah,
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: I agree. Um, well, the really bad news is Steve
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: that next season, the sixth season, will be there last
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: for the ship. Yeah, they're canceling the show after the
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: sixth season. They also canceled Star, which was all so yeah,
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: and I love Star. I love Star. I love both
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: those shows back to back. Um. Yeah, but six is
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: a good run though. Six is good. Yeah, yeah, I
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: bet it's gonna be a good season. Though. Mine was
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: going after seven. What you say, Sticky, Mine was going
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: after seven? Okay, ye seven? Yeah you had a good run.
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: Yea very you'll be fine. Yeah. Choice whatever you was
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: doing before you started them seven and go back do that.
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: God is still real. Simple solutions. What you gonna go
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: back on the road, Boy, I ain't gonna lose no money.
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: I got jokes, I got I got a gilt Podnow
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: juniors doing the happy dance right now here we go,
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: all right, Barb to Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to some sad news. Guys.
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: Comedy legend Tim Conway and Carol Burnette's co star on
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: her long running variety show, The Carol Burnett Show passed
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: away Tuesday in Los Angeles. Really sad news, especially for you,
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: Steve and all the comedians on the show. He was
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: an icon, right man, no man, him and Harvey Cormann
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: with Carol Burnette. I had Carol Burnette on my show
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: last year. It's a great moment for me to meet
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: her because my asked Steve, I actually got that I'm
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: the Carol Burnett Show because used to go out and
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: take questions from the crowd. And that's where I got
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: that from. I said, Man, I could do that. I
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: always wanted to do that and her, Harvey Corman and
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: Tim conwayllo man was funny when they break character, which
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: was every day, week, every skin and because Tim Conway
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: used to crack Harvey Corman up, he was going for him.
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: Though yes he couldn't keep face in front of Tim Conway.
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: He just couldn't do it. He comes reading that and
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: People Magazine taught me that. Tim Conway said that was
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: his goal and make you break. Well, he did it,
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: like you said, Steve, every single week. Yeah. Yeah. A
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: lot of comedians were posting about him today on the Gram. Yeah,
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: r Win, would you come in here? Tim Conway's rep
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: says Tim was battling complications from NPH. Okay, that's an
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: accumulation of spinal fluid on the brain. Um. Tim, along
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: with a late Harvey Corman, start brilliantly on The Carol
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: Burnett Show. As we just shared with you guys. Their
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: scenes with Carol were legendary. As all three they just
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: constantly tried and often succeeded almost every every time they did,
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: and making each other crack up on camera. Man, that
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: was their goal in life. That was that was It
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: was greatness for us though growing up watching them as
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: the stomach turns. Uh, well, that's a spin off. Was
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: Mama's Was Mama's, wasn't it? Oh? Yeah, Mama's family? Man,
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: My God hated a daughter Unice. If you don't see
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: I wish you'd make me. Yeah. It was funny that
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: Vicky Lawrence, being the younger of the two, played the mom.
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: She played Carol Burnette's Carol Burnette's mom, and she always
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: played her younger sister on the regular show. But um, yeah,
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: our prayers and our condolences go out to Tim Conway's
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: wife and his entire family. R I P. Tim Conway
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: gave us a lot, a lot of laughs. Yeah, definitely.
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: All right, coming up, last break of the day and
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: of course closing remarks from the one and only Steve
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: Harvey right after this you're listening to all right, Steve,
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: we are at the crossroads. I guess you can say
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: the last break of the day and time for you
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: with your closing remarks. You know, I think everybody can
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: relate to what I'm about to say. I always use
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: myself as the primary example of all my motivational moments
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: and speeches, because I mean, who better than yourself? I mean,
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: you know, when you've experienced something that's quite a up
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: when you're explaining it to someone, you know, it's like,
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: you know, hard to have a golf instructor and the
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: guy that's instructing you to play golf has never played golf.
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: Or you can't have a swimming instructor and a swimm
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: instructor don't know how to swim. It just doesn't make
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: that much sense. I guess you could do it, but
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: what do they know about it? So I try to
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: use my own shortcomings, missteps in life or happenings to
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: try to motivate everybody as I see it. One of
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: the things that I've always been pretty good at, and
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: I'm having to pay attention closely again is my acceptance
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: of God's will. You know, it's a it's a funny thing, man,
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: But when you really really understand how life really really works,
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: everything is in order. Even some of the challenges and
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: tests that you're facing, it's for a purpose, a reason
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: you're not having a hardship in your life or a
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: moment of challenging your life because it's just happens upon you. No,
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: there's some value in it. Bishop Jakes was on my
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: should the other day and he said, beyond every moment
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: of pain, pain always leaves a present behind, a gift,
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: something for you to unbox, unwrap and learn from it,
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: grow from it, become better for it, become experienced from it.
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: And that's the gift that at all always leaves. One
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: thing I've learned to accept is God's will. It's funny man.
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: But on my Instagram, I was looking at my vault Instagram.
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: While I was you know, learning some things about I
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: was motivating someone on my vault thing. It was a
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: guy who came to my show and the brother was
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: up in the crowd and he was talking about his
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: life and how he you know, how he wanted to
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: start a company and he was having trouble with starting
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: the company, and it was asking me, you know what
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: what I thought about it, and as he told me
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: this whole company idea. And then and he was working
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: at a job and he had just lost his job
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: and been laid off and everything of that nature. And
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: he kept looking at me and I said, well, hey, man,
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: let men a question. I said, what is your gift?
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: And he said it's cooking? And I said, well, why
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: are you messing around selling computer wear? And I told
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: went on to tell him. I said, look, man, I said,
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: sometimes this layoff that you have and this is God's
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: way of getting you to move in the direction that
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: he has for you. I say, you know, I wrote
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: or dinner video about jumping. I say, but sometimes you
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: don't get jumped, sometimes you get pushed. I said, because
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: God is fair. When God wants you to come around
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: to his way of thinking or seeing his plan. He
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: can allow for certain things to happen in your life
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: where you can actually see it the way he's wanted
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: you to see it all along. And so in his layoff,
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: it caused him to have to think of, Man, now
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: that I had this free time, what am I to do? Well,
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: as I was watching that video day on my Vault
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: Empowers Instagram, I'm actually gonna take it off today and
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: post it on my regular Instagram because I was really
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: talking to myself at the time that I was that
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: this video came out was made. It was made months ago,
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: but it was for me to hear myself and in
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: this time where people are you know, I appreciate people's concern,
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: Don't get me wrong, I really really do. I appreciate
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: people pulling from me and praying for me and hoping
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: I'm okay, and I really am okay. I want everybody
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: to know that I am really, really just fine. It's
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: just I've been pushed into the direction that he wants
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: me to go, and that's all it is. And it's
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: sort of amazing how this whole thing is unfolding, because
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: you know, the haters out there, They're gonna say what
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: they want to say. But Bishop Olmer taught me a
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: valuable lesson. He said, for those that love you, no
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: explanation necessary. For those that hate you, no explanation acceptable.
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: So I've learned to stop talking to haters because nothing
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: I can say to them is going to change their mind.
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: They just want to be what they are. But being
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: in a great place because God has something in store
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: for you. Remember this always, y'all. When the door closes.
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: The only reason, if you are a person of faith,
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: that God allows the door to be closed in your
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: face on you because He got another one he wants
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: you to go through. That's the only reason God didn't
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: bring you this father leave you. God really does love you.
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: God really has your best interests at heart. And what
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: some men do for evil, God does for good. So
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: somebody can plied against you. But Isaiah fifty four seventeen
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: is pretty clear no weapon formed against me should prosper.
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: It never has in the past, it never will in
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: the future. God's promises never comes back void. He does
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: not make a promise, and it's an empty promise. And
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: if you believe that, that's how you live and That's
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: how I live and I strongly give that to everybody.
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: Don't worry about it, y'all. Keep your head up because
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: God got you, just like he always has. Those are
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: my remarks today. Amen, Yes, you drop the knowledge and
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: the mic out the dough. Y'all have a great weekend. Okay,
