- 1:31Speaker 2: I got to turn the mouth.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Turn You probably got to turn the mouth, turn out
- 1:46Speaker 1: the money.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Come come on, you'll think that, Uh.
- 2:01Speaker 3: Huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody. You're listening to
- 2:05Speaker 3: the voice, Come on, dig me now. One and only
- 2:09Speaker 3: Steve Harvey got a radio show.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Man. What an amazing blessing. God has given me my health,
- 2:18Speaker 2: my dreams, all of it. God gave it to me.
- 2:23Speaker 2: I accept it.
- 2:24Speaker 3: I work hard, but man, oh man o man, I
- 2:27Speaker 3: work hard. It's something that He gave me a gift.
- 2:31Speaker 3: And that's what I want to talk to you about today,
- 2:34Speaker 3: because God has gifted everyone, so I can't help but
- 2:37Speaker 3: believe it. You are gifted in some way. Something about
- 2:42Speaker 3: you is specially and unique. That doesn't mean you're the
- 2:46Speaker 3: only one that can sing, Are you the only one
- 2:48Speaker 3: that can write? Are you the only one that can draw,
- 2:50Speaker 3: You the only one that can decorate? Or you the
- 2:53Speaker 3: only one that can network? Or you're the only one
- 2:56Speaker 3: that does not what it means, or you have a
- 2:58Speaker 3: great scientific mind, or you can figure things out, are
- 3:00Speaker 3: you're good at problem solving. You're not the only one,
- 3:03Speaker 3: but you are a unique individual. Nobody will travel the
- 3:06Speaker 3: exact path that you on. Nobody will have everything happen
- 3:09Speaker 3: in a series of circumstances in the order that you're
- 3:14Speaker 3: going to have it happen to you. That's what I
- 3:16Speaker 3: mean when I say that you are unique. But now
- 3:19Speaker 3: because you are gifted, you know you have something you
- 3:23Speaker 3: have to do. You know, there's a scripture. It's in Proverbs,
- 3:27Speaker 3: Proverbs eighteen and sixteen. I've been trying to be a
- 3:30Speaker 3: little bit better at that for you, you know. So
- 3:32Speaker 3: when I have an idea and I know where it is,
- 3:35Speaker 3: I have somebody look the scripture up from me and
- 3:37Speaker 3: handed to me. So it's in Proverbs eighteen sixteen. And
- 3:41Speaker 3: this is the layman's term of it. It says a
- 3:44Speaker 3: man's gift make room for him and brings him before
- 3:47Speaker 3: great men. It is your gift that will make room
- 3:52Speaker 3: for you. Now my interpretation of this is this. Now
- 3:55Speaker 3: I could be wrong. Please go to your local church, center, god, temple, mosque,
- 3:59Speaker 3: whatever you do and go get clarification. But what my
- 4:03Speaker 3: gift has done in making room for me is I've
- 4:07Speaker 3: taken it almost in the literal sense.
- 4:09Speaker 2: My gift has actually made room for me.
- 4:11Speaker 3: It is clear paths for me. My gift has opened
- 4:15Speaker 3: up doors for me. That's what I take it as.
- 4:18Speaker 3: It'll make room for you. My gift has has broadened
- 4:21Speaker 3: my ability to travel. My gift has opened my eyes
- 4:26Speaker 3: to fashion. My gift has caused me to be able
- 4:30Speaker 3: to provide for my family. My gift has caused me
- 4:35Speaker 3: to be able to reach more people. That's what I'm
- 4:38Speaker 3: saying in terms of it will make room for you.
- 4:40Speaker 3: That it may be another interpretation. I'm just telling you
- 4:43Speaker 3: how I took it. That has worked out pretty good
- 4:45Speaker 3: for me to that understanding. But I'm pretty sure Bishop Jakes,
- 4:48Speaker 3: Joel old Stein, kennef Ohm, you know, God, Glenn Staples,
- 4:53Speaker 3: Bishop Glenn Stables, these guys give you much better understanding
- 4:56Speaker 3: of it. I'm just giving it to you, you know
- 4:58Speaker 3: where I know how sold you, I don't know. I
- 5:00Speaker 3: just like to keep it right there. But and then
- 5:02Speaker 3: it says that it brings you before great men. I mean,
- 5:06Speaker 3: you know it's gonna take your places. It's gonna take
- 5:10Speaker 3: your places you never thought of going. You're gonna meet
- 5:13Speaker 3: people because of your gift. I told my son, who
- 5:16Speaker 3: two of them are good photographers. You'll be taking pictures
- 5:19Speaker 3: of great men, and then I mess with them. You're
- 5:21Speaker 3: already take the pictures, say your daddy. You know I'm
- 5:23Speaker 3: messing with them like that. But that's just me and them,
- 5:25Speaker 3: just kicking it. But you know, but one day, who knows,
- 5:28Speaker 3: you could be shooting the president. You know, you could
- 5:30Speaker 3: be shooting some foreign dignitaries. You know, you could be
- 5:33Speaker 3: shooting great sport events. You know, you never know where
- 5:36Speaker 3: it could take you. But that's your gift. What you
- 5:39Speaker 3: gotta do is you gotta get to move and though. See,
- 5:41Speaker 3: you can't have your gift and not do nothing with it.
- 5:44Speaker 3: See you know what that reminds me of. It's something
- 5:47Speaker 3: that been My father used to say, get up off
- 5:50Speaker 3: your butt because you're sitting on a gold mine. He
- 5:54Speaker 3: say that all the time. Boy, get up off your
- 5:57Speaker 3: butt and move it, because you sitting on a gold mine.
- 6:00Speaker 3: I never really quite got that when I was little,
- 6:02Speaker 3: but now that I'm an adult, I got it full well.
- 6:05Speaker 3: See a lot of you are sitting. You're sitting on
- 6:07Speaker 3: a talent or a gift that you have. You're sitting
- 6:10Speaker 3: on an ability. I don't care if it's making cakes
- 6:13Speaker 3: or pies. That's a gift, man, that's a talent. I
- 6:17Speaker 3: don't care if it's the ability to do hell, that's
- 6:19Speaker 3: a gift.
- 6:20Speaker 5: Man.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Half of you are gifted.
- 6:22Speaker 3: A lot of us are gifted, and we're sitting on it,
- 6:25Speaker 3: looking at other people, wondering what can I do to
- 6:27Speaker 3: make it? You already got something to make it with,
- 6:31Speaker 3: if you would just get up off your behind, man,
- 6:34Speaker 3: quit sitting on that gold mine. Some of you are
- 6:37Speaker 3: tech savvy, just a wherez is when it comes to
- 6:40Speaker 3: engineering and putting stuff together and cables and wires and
- 6:44Speaker 3: computers and stuff. And now you steady looking around trying
- 6:47Speaker 3: to figure out, man, wonder what I can go do?
- 6:49Speaker 2: How about you go do that? You know it ain't
- 6:52Speaker 2: that hard, man, if you were just.
- 6:54Speaker 3: Taking note of what God has given you already. He
- 6:58Speaker 3: has given you a gift already, He has already given
- 7:01Speaker 3: you a talent. Now the fact that you ain't using
- 7:04Speaker 3: it and you sitting on your tail somewhere, now, who
- 7:08Speaker 3: fathers what we're talking about?
- 7:12Speaker 2: What you blaming God for that.
- 7:14Speaker 6: Man.
- 7:14Speaker 3: I tell you what, I sit around people all the
- 7:17Speaker 3: time who are gifted, and I'm looking at their gifts,
- 7:22Speaker 3: and they steady complaining about what they don't have, but
- 7:25Speaker 3: will not get up off there behind and use the
- 7:29Speaker 3: gifts that God gave them.
- 7:30Speaker 2: And it's frustrating.
- 7:32Speaker 3: It's gotta be frustrating for you if you doing it,
- 7:35Speaker 3: because it's frustrating for me when I see it. So
- 7:38Speaker 3: when these people come to me and ask me for help,
- 7:40Speaker 3: I just keep going.
- 7:41Speaker 2: The same thing over and over.
- 7:42Speaker 3: Help yourself, man, do for you use your gift. It's
- 7:46Speaker 3: a cat sitting behind the wall right now that's locked up.
- 7:50Speaker 3: That's so good at artistry. It's cats in that tattooing everybody. Man,
- 7:55Speaker 3: get out, do it the right way. Quit selling drugs, man,
- 7:59Speaker 3: You ain't going nowhere selling no drugs.
- 8:00Speaker 2: You going to jail.
- 8:02Speaker 3: And if that don't do it, somebody gonna get tired
- 8:04Speaker 3: of you selling drugs cause they gonna want to sell
- 8:05Speaker 3: them over and they gonna kill you. Let's just keep
- 8:07Speaker 3: this thing real for just a second here. Come on, man,
- 8:11Speaker 3: get up off your butt, because you sitting on the
- 8:13Speaker 3: gold mine, and you sitt up here somebody always looking
- 8:15Speaker 3: for a short cut to the top. Ain't no shortcut.
- 8:18Speaker 3: Somebody told me this the other day. Man, the road
- 8:21Speaker 3: to success is always under construction. It ain't paved, it's
- 8:27Speaker 3: got detour signs on it. It's got slow men working.
- 8:32Speaker 3: Sometime they flip the stop sign. You gotta sit there
- 8:34Speaker 3: and wait. Sometime they got slow. There's traffic, there's accidents.
- 8:40Speaker 3: Somebody on the road holding up things with a flat tie,
- 8:43Speaker 3: its nails, its gravels. This spike is everything. The road
- 8:47Speaker 3: to success is always under construction. It ain't getting ready
- 8:51Speaker 3: to be easy just because you done decided to do it.
- 8:54Speaker 3: But don't sit around on your behind and complain all
- 8:57Speaker 3: the time about what you don't have. Daddy said it. Man,
- 9:01Speaker 3: get up off your butt because you sitting on the
- 9:03Speaker 3: gold mine. You got a gift, you got a talent,
- 9:06Speaker 3: You got something that you can do that could make
- 9:09Speaker 3: a way for you, but you won't do it. It
- 9:12Speaker 3: is within you. Stop looking around. Here's what people waste
- 9:16Speaker 3: the most time on the road to success, looking around
- 9:19Speaker 3: at somebody else trying to figure out, Man, how can
- 9:23Speaker 3: I do what they did?
- 9:24Speaker 2: Do what you do? You ain't jay Z, You ain't sorry.
- 9:30Speaker 3: I got a couple of your homies told you you
- 9:32Speaker 3: rap better than him, But you not, jay Z, Really
- 9:35Speaker 3: you're not. You know, all of us can shot at him,
- 9:38Speaker 3: but we ain't rich at prior A nice shot Steve,
- 9:42Speaker 3: Bernie DL, all of weh took some great shots at it.
- 9:45Speaker 2: We not him.
- 9:47Speaker 6: Do what you can do.
- 9:49Speaker 3: Do you do your gift quick complaining about what you
- 9:52Speaker 3: don't have, Get up off your butt because you sitting
- 9:56Speaker 3: on a gold mine.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Ladies and gentlemen. Let me have your attention please. I'm
- 10:07Speaker 2: speaking in this tone to give it more of a
- 10:10Speaker 2: Walter crime Quite type interview, more of an introduction, more
- 10:15Speaker 2: of a tone of authoritativeness, a tone of seriousness, of elevation.
- 10:23Speaker 2: This is the way I've decided to start the Steve
- 10:26Speaker 2: Harvey Morning Show today. Will I do this regularly?
- 10:29Speaker 1: Of course?
- 10:30Speaker 7: Not?
- 10:31Speaker 2: Am I tired of this already? Yes?
- 10:33Speaker 6: I am?
- 10:34Speaker 2: Why did I start this? I have no idea? What's
- 10:37Speaker 2: wrong with me? They've been praying over me for years?
- 10:41Speaker 2: Something is wrong with this boy? Pastor? Wose were the
- 10:45Speaker 2: words of my mother? My blessed mother? I lass Vere
- 10:47Speaker 2: Harvey every Friday something is wrong with him pastor. She
- 10:52Speaker 2: was correct. There was something wrong with me and there
- 10:56Speaker 2: still is. The prayers were answered. It's just that what's
- 11:00Speaker 2: wrong with me has turned into a career. So I
- 11:03Speaker 2: thank god what was wrong with me? And you should too,
- 11:06Speaker 2: because you were not born to be like everybody else.
- 11:09Speaker 2: You were born to be different, and that I am.
- 11:12Speaker 2: Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome to the Steve Harvey on the show.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Ah crazy like that? Shannon Strapberry, Colinfrail, Missippi, Monica, Nephew, Tommy,
- 11:24Speaker 2: and Junior.
- 11:25Speaker 3: I just started off all together different, Judie. What's on
- 11:28Speaker 3: your mind today? I'm gonna being a little off today, Junior?
- 11:30Speaker 3: So I can see it already.
- 11:33Speaker 2: But do you think can you see it? Yeah? I
- 11:38Speaker 2: see it? But do you think uncle, you can see what?
- 11:41Speaker 2: Hold on? You can see what? How crazy are you is? Oh?
- 11:45Speaker 2: I thought you stalking about your hairline that.
- 11:48Speaker 1: I told you to be careful anyway?
- 11:51Speaker 2: You said you can see it? I said, see what
- 11:53Speaker 2: you said? How you crazy? Now? What you got?
- 11:57Speaker 6: Man? No?
- 11:58Speaker 7: Do you think people are sometimes too hard on themselves
- 12:01Speaker 7: and don't give themselves enough credit?
- 12:02Speaker 2: And how shay they handle that? Man? Sometimes they just
- 12:05Speaker 2: think like.
- 12:07Speaker 3: I don't think people are don't give themselves enough credit.
- 12:11Speaker 3: I don't think that's it at all. In some cases,
- 12:15Speaker 3: I guess you could say they Well, let's take it
- 12:17Speaker 3: from this perspective to are people too hard on themselves? Yes,
- 12:21Speaker 3: because the Bible has full warned that there's none perfect, no,
- 12:24Speaker 3: not one. So when you do imperfect things that's already
- 12:28Speaker 3: been ordained, that's been prophesied that they are none perfect, no,
- 12:32Speaker 3: not one. Now do you not give yourself enough credit?
- 12:37Speaker 3: I don't think most people realize how strong they are that.
- 12:40Speaker 3: I do feel that way. The average person is going
- 12:43Speaker 3: through a lot, and God has brought them through a lot.
- 12:46Speaker 3: But now you got this new challenge, and you don't
- 12:48Speaker 3: look back at your track record of surviving all those
- 12:51Speaker 3: tough times, and now you want to get all of
- 12:53Speaker 3: a sudden weak when you're stronger than that.
- 12:58Speaker 2: That's just my take on it. No, that's a great
- 13:00Speaker 2: that's a great approach. Yeah. How long How long you
- 13:04Speaker 2: gonna wear the hats? Junior?
- 13:06Speaker 6: What? What? What?
- 13:09Speaker 2: When you're a hat? Oh? I just you know, it's
- 13:13Speaker 2: my teams. I just like my teams. Yeah, me and Tommy,
- 13:17Speaker 2: we don't wear hats on the show with the boys teams.
- 13:22Speaker 5: Yeah, maybe you need to.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Well because we ball headed and we know it. Oh
- 13:28Speaker 2: y'all trying. Oh I see what you're saying. We tryed
- 13:32Speaker 2: to what that's what we.
- 13:39Speaker 5: Coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour. The
- 13:41Speaker 5: pastors are here with a word. Right after this, you're listening.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Dave Hardy Morning Show.
- 13:52Speaker 4: Do you ever notice your floora still look dirty even
- 13:55Speaker 4: after you mop? Power Mop gives you a deeper clean
- 13:58Speaker 4: you can see and feel. Unlike stream mops, Swift for
- 14:02Speaker 4: power Mop absorbs more dirt and locks it away even
- 14:05Speaker 4: and hard to reach places.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Like behind the toilet.
- 14:08Speaker 4: The new micro scrubbers deliver thousands of tiny, deep cleaning
- 14:12Speaker 4: actions for results that look, smell, and feel clean. No
- 14:16Speaker 4: more dirty floors. Try the Swift for power Mop. Love
- 14:19Speaker 4: it or your money back.
- 14:21Speaker 5: And it's time now for Reverend Motown and Deacon Death
- 14:24Speaker 5: jam with a word.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Let the church say, Amen a man, Amen.
- 14:32Speaker 3: May have a guest pastor this moment. Yeah, oh, a
- 14:40Speaker 3: new minister. M where I can go on vacation. I've
- 14:47Speaker 3: never taken a vacation the entire time I've been the
- 14:51Speaker 3: residing shepherd. Ye can have jackpot joint or Jerusalem. But
- 14:59Speaker 3: just so you know, next week, one of my dear
- 15:03Speaker 3: friends will be sitting in for me. In several weeks
- 15:07Speaker 3: in a row.
- 15:08Speaker 2: Is that who is that path?
- 15:11Speaker 3: No, the pastor pimp will be here. Pastor pimp after
- 15:20Speaker 3: the pimp. He will be here next week to provide
- 15:27Speaker 3: all services. He will do everything. Let me let me,
- 15:32Speaker 3: let me, let me clear it up for you. He
- 15:35Speaker 3: will be visiting all the sick and shut in all right.
- 15:41Speaker 3: He will hand handle all church complaints.
- 15:46Speaker 5: Uh huh.
- 15:47Speaker 2: He will do all sermons.
- 15:51Speaker 3: And last but not least, he will perform all duties
- 15:58Speaker 3: of the pastor all the.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Duties of it. So you're baptized. He'll baptize people too, yes, sir.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Baptism and private counseling for women's Yeah, and I have
- 16:12Speaker 2: one he needs to counsel that, uh sister bonds that
- 16:16Speaker 2: as part of the congregation. But we'll talk about that later.
- 16:19Speaker 2: System Monica. Yeah, that's the one that was trying to
- 16:24Speaker 2: tell me how to handle our uh our sermons and
- 16:29Speaker 2: stuff and whatnot. So yeah, I want you to have
- 16:33Speaker 2: a moment of discrepancy here or that's right now we
- 16:37Speaker 2: can go. I think we're going to have today is
- 16:40Speaker 2: going to be dedicated to church business. OK, can't get
- 16:43Speaker 2: that system. Monekey is not a regular member. That's right.
- 16:50Speaker 2: You don't come every Sunday, but come up in here
- 16:51Speaker 2: kind of run something real head pack and she don't
- 16:54Speaker 2: pay no pries at aw no wow. So vote her
- 17:00Speaker 2: mouth really is so unnecessary. And all the packages that
- 17:07Speaker 2: come to the church, he takes them to her.
- 17:09Speaker 3: House, you know, rummages enthuium and then determines what she
- 17:19Speaker 3: gonna present as minds and yeowings.
- 17:23Speaker 2: That's what she does exactly. I tell you. Here is
- 17:27Speaker 2: a well known fact about miss Mississippi Monica. Mmm.
- 17:33Speaker 3: She was the first person in her family to not
- 17:37Speaker 3: be invited to be a member of the Mississippi mass Choir.
- 17:45Speaker 3: I can't sing at tall only it hurt her whole
- 17:49Speaker 3: family because they wanted order to carry on the tradition
- 17:53Speaker 3: of every Bonds has been a sanging member of the
- 17:58Speaker 3: Mississippi mass Choir for one hundred voices.
- 18:01Speaker 2: She couldn't replace a one of them. Can we put
- 18:08Speaker 2: her on the books to be baptized with the pimp
- 18:11Speaker 2: pastor what in the world? I think?
- 18:15Speaker 3: So I have that he needs to recommit herself. You know,
- 18:21Speaker 3: she went off after college. She graduated from a home
- 18:26Speaker 3: of the Sonic Boom Jackson State, and went on after.
- 18:32Speaker 2: That, went on and met some people in turn white.
- 18:37Speaker 1: Nah, how do you turn what?
- 18:39Speaker 6: Wait?
- 18:39Speaker 5: What?
- 18:40Speaker 6: Nah?
- 18:40Speaker 3: She gave up on what her grandmama and they were.
- 18:43Speaker 3: Now she all said, she's Catholic. Now yeah, and no,
- 18:50Speaker 3: we're gonna but we're gonna baptize her back stop, that's right,
- 18:56Speaker 3: you're going in the water all that forehead sprinkling. We're
- 18:59Speaker 3: not doing You're getting taken you all the way under.
- 19:06Speaker 3: We're n't do some drowning up in here. Oh you nose,
- 19:11Speaker 3: don't you slip out your hands? How to reach down
- 19:14Speaker 3: get your kid? We're doing it that a way? And
- 19:17Speaker 3: can we also past it when we baptize her? Is
- 19:20Speaker 3: it possible to have communion the same day for her?
- 19:24Speaker 2: You know we're gonna have to help her understand what
- 19:28Speaker 2: communion is or communion is wine. Communion is not tito.
- 19:37Speaker 1: This is problem like now Martini.
- 19:43Speaker 2: She also, uh, Pastor Pimp will be dealing with Junior, Amen,
- 19:55Speaker 2: because you know Pastor Pimp has a full process ain't
- 20:00Speaker 2: style haircutting. When he see Junior, You're gonna have address
- 20:04Speaker 2: Junior's hairline. Why what is it? You didn't even what.
- 20:14Speaker 2: I didn't even know I had a problem. I got
- 20:16Speaker 2: a problem with pastor pimp now because my hairline? How
- 20:18Speaker 2: did that come up?
- 20:20Speaker 3: You don't have pastor Pimp don't know you, but he
- 20:22Speaker 3: will know you. I will fill him in on all
- 20:25Speaker 3: our issues on the moon issue. Uh, he will be
- 20:30Speaker 3: informed at Carly, what.
- 20:35Speaker 2: Is the bossest.
- 20:38Speaker 8: All?
- 20:38Speaker 3: Yeah, the only one that went to school for communications.
- 20:46Speaker 2: That's right, broadcast. She's a ship turn will and tie cutting,
- 20:54Speaker 2: wind shield busting farmer.

- 23:40Speaker 5: home early. She is mad at me because I didn't
- 23:44Speaker 5: leave too. She had cramps but nothing serious. Why should
- 23:47Speaker 5: I leave because she left?
- 23:49Speaker 6: What?
- 23:53Speaker 2: I don't think she has the right to be mad
- 23:55Speaker 2: at you?
- 23:58Speaker 1: You don't.
- 24:00Speaker 2: No, she has no right to be mad at her.
- 24:02Speaker 2: You left, you had cramps?
- 24:04Speaker 6: Bye?
- 24:05Speaker 2: Oh wow?
- 24:07Speaker 1: But they can't sure he never will?
- 24:14Speaker 2: Guy?

- 24:40Speaker 2: No nothing she can take, ain't no medicine associates.
- 24:44Speaker 1: Oh she had to leave.
- 24:50Speaker 2: You say this subject right here? You got to not
- 24:55Speaker 2: comment on.
- 24:58Speaker 3: I know, I know you're stupid, I know, but you
- 25:01Speaker 3: don't know how you have got to learn a couple
- 25:04Speaker 3: of card no rules. You don't know how they started
- 25:08Speaker 3: talking about that subject right there, and Cramp had noticed.
- 25:11Speaker 2: I ain't say nothing about them.
- 25:12Speaker 5: Cramps, No, thank you, but you thought it was two
- 25:15Speaker 5: girls anyway. So all right, moving on to Sienna.
- 25:23Speaker 2: But we just miss the engagement party.
- 25:24Speaker 1: We we said that three times.
- 25:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I ain't got knowing. You could take like, she
- 25:30Speaker 2: don't know that.
- 25:31Speaker 1: But it's amazing how he can surprise us with his stupidity.
- 25:35Speaker 1: It is amazing. Sureley, did you hear.
- 25:39Speaker 2: What he said?
- 25:40Speaker 1: I know they ain't got nothing.
- 25:42Speaker 2: She could say, Hey, Tom, I will say this though,
- 25:46Speaker 2: in my medicine bag.
- 25:47Speaker 3: Back when all the girls and I lived in the
- 25:49Speaker 3: same house, my wife, my daughters and everything.
- 25:53Speaker 2: We go on trips and all like that. I had
- 25:55Speaker 2: it in the medicine bag.
- 25:57Speaker 1: Wow did you have boach?
- 25:59Speaker 2: But my doll?
- 26:05Speaker 1: All right, well, good for you, Steve, all right, my doll?
- 26:10Speaker 2: Okay, all right, moving on to specifically handle this, and
- 26:15Speaker 2: we please extra strip.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Okay, move on Sienna and fort Wayne.
- 26:24Speaker 6: Right.
- 26:25Speaker 5: My husband loves to cook, and he told me he
- 26:27Speaker 5: was making lasagna the way his ex girlfriend used to
- 26:32Speaker 5: make it.
- 26:32Speaker 1: I went off on him.
- 26:34Speaker 5: Yeah, I went off on him because he'd be so
- 26:36Speaker 5: mad if I mentioned one of my exes.
- 26:39Speaker 2: Was this his way of.
- 26:40Speaker 1: Saying he wished I cooked like his ex makes me? Yeah?
- 26:51Speaker 9: It was so good.
- 26:52Speaker 2: Everybody told you who it was full. Yeah, I'm gonna
- 26:57Speaker 2: make this asagnia, just like my ex used to make it.
- 27:00Speaker 1: What did he say that?
- 27:01Speaker 2: How stupid is he?
- 27:04Speaker 1: Tommy said that.
- 27:09Speaker 3: When you have stupid stuff like that, you have to
- 27:12Speaker 3: go to We have people. That's what makes I show great.
- 27:15Speaker 3: We cover all the basis.
- 27:20Speaker 5: All right, well let's go to let's go to the
- 27:21Speaker 5: expert on this one. H Come on, tell me I
- 27:26Speaker 5: wouldn't have said that. I would not have said that.
- 27:28Speaker 1: What would you have said?
- 27:30Speaker 2: You were good?
- 27:30Speaker 9: Good?
- 27:31Speaker 1: That's good news? Sureley, Okay, I wouldn't have said that.
- 27:33Speaker 6: It is.
- 27:35Speaker 2: I know a very good lazagnia, and I'm not gonna
- 27:38Speaker 2: tell you where I got it from. But there's a
- 27:40Speaker 2: very good las onia that I think we should try
- 27:42Speaker 2: to create together. Would you tell me where it's from?
- 27:46Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 27:47Speaker 2: Because you don't know her, but I knew it was coming.
- 27:53Speaker 2: You keep asking that it's don't happen now, you.
- 27:59Speaker 5: Just gotta wait for it all right, Moving on last one.
- 28:03Speaker 5: This is from Christine and Edgewater. Christine says, I'm in
- 28:06Speaker 5: the singing group, and there's a new girl that thinks
- 28:09Speaker 5: she's the Beyonce of the group since she's been in
- 28:12Speaker 5: one off Broadway show. She thinks we're all beginners and
- 28:16Speaker 5: she's the star. How do we get her to calm
- 28:19Speaker 5: down and fall in line with us?
- 28:23Speaker 3: That's well, I don't know what kind of group this
- 28:25Speaker 3: he is. I don't know if y'all y'all keep opening
- 28:29Speaker 3: it up to new members.
- 28:32Speaker 2: Is not a choir? Y'all must are y'all like the
- 28:34Speaker 2: Fifth Dimension? Remember the fifty Mintion? Uh huh?
- 28:37Speaker 1: They don't know who that is?
- 28:40Speaker 2: We know, yeah, but I don't eat. I can't even remember.
- 28:44Speaker 1: Think of the Supreme.
- 28:49Speaker 2: Yeah, none of y'all Beyonce. So quit talking about Destiny's child,
- 29:00Speaker 2: all right?
- 29:00Speaker 5: So she thinks that their all beginners. She thinks that
- 29:03Speaker 5: she's the star because she was in an off Broadway show.
- 29:06Speaker 5: One and why y'all let in the group?
- 29:10Speaker 2: How do this group?
- 29:14Speaker 1: She just says, the singing group.
- 29:15Speaker 5: There's a new girl that thinks she's Beyonce, and they
- 29:18Speaker 5: want to know how how to calm her down and
- 29:21Speaker 5: fall in line thing.
- 29:22Speaker 1: Yeah, that's all.
- 29:25Speaker 2: Does she sang better than all the rest of y'all.
- 29:28Speaker 1: It doesn't say that because if she.
- 29:31Speaker 2: Do, I'm telling you right now, she's the new lead singer.
- 29:37Speaker 2: All your songs is hers.
- 29:38Speaker 8: Now.
- 29:39Speaker 1: Well, they could be like in Vogue where everybody can
- 29:41Speaker 1: do lead.
- 29:42Speaker 5: But but they want to know if she does sing lead,
- 29:47Speaker 5: then what they'll find that out eventually too, right, right?
- 29:51Speaker 3: The lady that wrote the letter is the worst one
- 29:53Speaker 3: in the group. That's why I she already knows. If
- 30:01Speaker 3: they do any cuts, you can't.
- 30:10Speaker 2: Get the harmies, the stamps, she can't get nothing.
- 30:14Speaker 1: She's always off. It's half a beat always.
- 30:18Speaker 2: She don't know. That's why they bought her in.
- 30:24Speaker 5: All right, thank you Colo. Coming up at the top
- 30:28Speaker 5: of the hour, we will have some entertainment news for
- 30:30Speaker 5: you right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 30:39Speaker 5: This past Saturday night's White House Correspondence dinner at the
- 30:42Speaker 5: Washington Hilton was disrupted by gunfire. The gunman, identified as
- 30:48Speaker 5: Cole Thomas Allen, rushed through a security checkpoint shortly after
- 30:52Speaker 5: eight thirty pm and fired at law enforcement officers in
- 30:55Speaker 5: the lobby. Minutes before showing up at the correspondence dinner,
- 30:59Speaker 5: Allan allegedly sent a note to family members expressing political
- 31:03Speaker 5: grievances and an attempt and an intent to target officials
- 31:07Speaker 5: in the Trump administration. President Trump, First Lady Milania Trump,
- 31:11Speaker 5: and Vice President JD. Vance were immediately rushed from the
- 31:15Speaker 5: ballroom by security.
- 31:16Speaker 1: Not in that order, by the way.
- 31:18Speaker 5: One Secret Service officer was shot in its ballistic vest
- 31:22Speaker 5: and was examined and released from the hospital, so he's okay.
- 31:27Speaker 5: No other injuries were reported. Cole Thomas Allen, the gunman,
- 31:31Speaker 5: is reportedly a thirty one year old teacher and engineer
- 31:36Speaker 5: from Torrence, California, just outside of Los Angeles. He was
- 31:40Speaker 5: armed with a handgun, a shotgun, and multiple knives. They
- 31:43Speaker 5: say Alan is in custody and he's charged with assaulting
- 31:47Speaker 5: a federal officer and discharging a firearm during a crime
- 31:51Speaker 5: of violence. So you guys saw the video, I mean,
- 31:55Speaker 5: you can't turn on the TV without saying it of
- 31:59Speaker 5: Trump being whisked a way and uh falling to the
- 32:02Speaker 5: floor as.
- 32:02Speaker 1: He was being whisked away.
- 32:04Speaker 5: You saw they get JD. Vance, Vice President out first. Yeah,
- 32:09Speaker 5: it was yeah, that was something they said.
- 32:12Speaker 2: No one knew. I just I just really don't know
- 32:15Speaker 2: what to say. I didn't think it was really yeah,
- 32:19Speaker 2: I would just who who are these people? I don't Okay,
- 32:25Speaker 2: I gotta ask is he black?
- 32:28Speaker 1: Everybody's about this.
- 32:31Speaker 2: I just got aw come on, yeah, I saw curly hair.
- 32:33Speaker 2: I got the ad.
- 32:35Speaker 1: Well he's I'm stretch.
- 32:38Speaker 6: And go.
- 32:42Speaker 2: He if he is, the world is in trouble.
- 32:48Speaker 1: You know what he looks it.
- 32:50Speaker 5: We we got to say that he looks like it.
- 32:53Speaker 5: But it seems like to me, if he were and
- 32:55Speaker 5: you weigh in on this, they would have killed him.
- 32:59Speaker 5: I don't know, as the way things have gone in
- 33:02Speaker 5: the past.
- 33:04Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know.
- 33:08Speaker 6: For me.
- 33:10Speaker 2: Let me just be honest. It's very difficult for me
- 33:13Speaker 2: to comment on this story.
- 33:15Speaker 3: It's so difficult because I don't I don't like the
- 33:19Speaker 3: way my head spins when I hear stuff like this. Yeah,
- 33:24Speaker 3: I mean, you know this is the second they're calling
- 33:26Speaker 3: this the second attempt attempt, and at this point, I'm
- 33:31Speaker 3: just I got to be quiet because my head is
- 33:36Speaker 3: spinning in so many different directions, and it's just best
- 33:41Speaker 3: for me and the person I am and the person
- 33:44Speaker 3: I'm trying to become, and and and and and just
- 33:48Speaker 3: to lead this story alone. It's everywhere. I'm tired of
- 33:54Speaker 3: all of the theories about is it a prank? Is
- 33:56Speaker 3: it set up again? Is it another distraction?
- 34:00Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 34:00Speaker 1: Yeah, How did he get by security? That was my
- 34:05Speaker 1: first question. How did that? How did he just run
- 34:08Speaker 1: by security?
- 34:11Speaker 2: He got through security, he got through a hotel, he
- 34:13Speaker 2: got all his getting these people from. Yeah.
- 34:26Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I'm glad everyone's okay. First of all, we
- 34:29Speaker 5: got to say, but oh my god, unbelievable. Unbelievable was
- 34:42Speaker 5: bothering me.
- 34:44Speaker 10: Yeah, there's a lot of things that's bothering us about
- 34:48Speaker 10: this lot, Like Steve.
- 34:50Speaker 5: Said, yeah, and so many people still think it's a hoax.
- 34:56Speaker 5: They don't believe it. They think it was staged. They
- 34:59Speaker 5: think it was aged. You know, yeah, this is really crazy.
- 35:07Speaker 5: I mean, you know, we live in a violent world,
- 35:09Speaker 5: violent society.
- 35:11Speaker 2: Is this a new ballroom they've been working on too,
- 35:14Speaker 2: I'm just asking No.
- 35:16Speaker 1: No, people have.
- 35:19Speaker 6: There.
- 35:19Speaker 5: It's so much you can say, it's not the new ballroom, ballroom, No,
- 35:25Speaker 5: they we don't have that yet.
- 35:27Speaker 2: Just random thoughts we have because it's our first party
- 35:31Speaker 2: in the big ballroom. But the one thing that Trump
- 35:34Speaker 2: said was all great presidents get assassination attempts. He said that,
- 35:45Speaker 2: but I wanted to correct that.
- 35:48Speaker 1: Mm hmmm, mm hmm. Careful, careful. We don't want friends
- 35:58Speaker 1: silence somebody.
- 36:00Speaker 2: Obama, don't do it.
- 36:02Speaker 1: Nope, don't do it.
- 36:05Speaker 2: Don't do it.
- 36:06Speaker 1: Yeah, so you know, like they do on social media.
- 36:09Speaker 4: Anyways, what else?
- 36:12Speaker 5: Well, the Michael Jackson movie Michael, Yes, Huge, Huge, Huge

- 36:33Speaker 5: domestic debut.
- 36:34Speaker 1: Anybody see the movie this weekend? I saw it. I
- 36:38Speaker 1: say yes, it was good.

- 36:54Speaker 5: that's how good this young man is.

- 37:00Speaker 2: I mean, I've heard nothing but good stuff about it.
- 37:02Speaker 1: It is so good, y'all.

- 56:50Speaker 1: Thank you, nephew. Subject he's amazing to himself and his mama.
- 56:56Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley, that title right, Stephen Shirley.
- 57:01Speaker 5: I'm writing to you because Steve gives a lot of
- 57:04Speaker 5: advice that some people take the wrong way. My husband
- 57:07Speaker 5: is one of the people that heard what Steve said,
- 57:10Speaker 5: but he doesn't quite understand it. I get that it's
- 57:13Speaker 5: okay if you are in your mid forties and you're
- 57:16Speaker 5: still trying to pursue your dreams, but I believe you
- 57:18Speaker 5: have to be honest with yourself. Stephen Shirley, My poor
- 57:22Speaker 5: husband is only amazing to himself and his mama. I
- 57:27Speaker 5: can't even tell you what he thinks he's good at,
- 57:31Speaker 5: because his mama listens to the show daily and she's
- 57:34Speaker 5: messy enough to tell him on me. We are both
- 57:38Speaker 5: forty seven years old, and he's never never given up
- 57:41Speaker 5: on his dream to become famous. His mother asks him
- 57:44Speaker 5: to perform all the time, like he's a kid at
- 57:47Speaker 5: a house party. We've been at a restaurant and his
- 57:50Speaker 5: mother will get him to perform at our table, and
- 57:53Speaker 5: she looks at him so proudly, while I avoid eye
- 57:56Speaker 5: contact with people around us because I know trying not
- 58:00Speaker 5: to laugh at him.
- 58:02Speaker 1: The performances are.
- 58:03Speaker 5: NonStop at home. If I'm cooking, he's there entertaining me.
- 58:07Speaker 5: He's also he also thinks he's amazing in the bedroom.
- 58:10Speaker 5: But that's my fault because I started lying to him
- 58:13Speaker 5: years ago about that.
- 58:15Speaker 1: The fact that he is still so.
- 58:17Speaker 5: Very interested in being famous but clueless about how terrible
- 58:20Speaker 5: he is is an issue for me.
- 58:23Speaker 1: His mother builds him up, and she won't. She would never.
- 58:26Speaker 5: Forgive me if I tell them how I really feel
- 58:30Speaker 5: about his so called god given talent. I think if
- 58:33Speaker 5: he pursues managing other people that do what he wants
- 58:37Speaker 5: to do, he'd.
- 58:38Speaker 1: Find joy in that.
- 58:40Speaker 5: So do I start with his mama and make her
- 58:43Speaker 5: realize he's not getting a big break? Or should I
- 58:46Speaker 5: tell him that he doesn't need to hire another manager
- 58:49Speaker 5: because he's not talented?
- 58:51Speaker 1: Should I be a dream killer? Or let this play
- 58:53Speaker 1: out another ten years? Wow?
- 58:57Speaker 5: Another ten years and you're going to have to let
- 59:01Speaker 5: this play out. I mean, he would probably never forgive
- 59:04Speaker 5: you for crushing his dream I mean, because so many
- 59:07Speaker 5: people say, never give up on your dreams. I get
- 59:11Speaker 5: you want to be honest with him and all that
- 59:13Speaker 5: you're tired of him embarrassing himself and you. But I
- 59:16Speaker 5: guarantee you he's not going to take it well coming
- 59:19Speaker 5: from you. And when you say entertain what exactly do
- 59:23Speaker 5: you mean?
- 59:23Speaker 1: I mean, is he singing? Is he dancing? Is he
- 59:26Speaker 1: rapping or trying to make people laugh?
- 59:28Speaker 6: Well?
- 59:28Speaker 5: What is he trying to do? Because if he was
- 59:30Speaker 5: really serious about his entertainment career, it seems like someone
- 59:35Speaker 5: in the industry would have told him the truth by now,
- 59:38Speaker 5: or there would be some sort of buzz or something
- 59:40Speaker 5: if he was good. Obviously his manager is just taking
- 59:44Speaker 5: his money because he hasn't gotten him any jobs and
- 59:47Speaker 5: has he gone on any auditions or anything. I mean,
- 59:50Speaker 5: this is there is such a thing. I'll tell you
- 59:53Speaker 5: as a late bloomer.
- 59:54Speaker 1: There is that.
- 59:55Speaker 5: So age doesn't necessarily have anything to do with it.
- 59:58Speaker 5: If you have real talent, the one sure way to
- 1:00:02Speaker 5: find out is for him to perform for someone else
- 1:00:05Speaker 5: besides his mom and people at the restaurant, someone like
- 1:00:09Speaker 5: an agent or a producer, to see if there's anything there.
- 1:00:13Speaker 5: His mom is not a good judge because that's her baby,
- 1:00:16Speaker 5: and everything he does is perfectly perfect.
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: That's her, you know.
- 1:00:20Speaker 5: And if you say something about her to her, about
- 1:00:24Speaker 5: her to her son, you say something about her about
- 1:00:27Speaker 5: her son. No, you're going to find out how she
- 1:00:30Speaker 5: really feels about you. That's what's going to happen there.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: So my advice to you is just.
- 1:00:34Speaker 5: A grin and Barrett, I mean, who is he hurting anyway?
- 1:00:38Speaker 5: I mean, he's not really hurting you or causing you
- 1:00:40Speaker 5: any harm. So you know, just try to deal with
- 1:00:43Speaker 5: it if you can. Wifey, Steve not bad.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: I'm tired.
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: I'm tired of this. I got tired of it in
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: the letter. I know she tired of all I do
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: was reading a letter and I'm tired of his all ready.
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: Now what I don't want you to do?
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: You say in this letter that your poor husband is
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: amazing to himself and his mama.
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: Now what the troubling part is how the letter started
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: for me.
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: I'm writing you because Steve gives a lot of advice
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: that some people take the wrong way. My husband is
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: one of the people that hurts what Steve said, but
- 1:01:33Speaker 3: he doesn't quite understanding. I get that it's okay if
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: you and your mid forties and you still trying.
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: To pursue your dreams. But I believe you have to
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: be honest with yourself now. I won't a minute hold up.
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: So it sounded to me like what you're trying to
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: blame me.
- 1:01:53Speaker 6: For?
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: Your husband heard me say something, Nah, he on your nerves,
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: and you trying to put that on me. I don't
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: know your husband, don't know what his professed talent seems
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: to be. I'm going to assume his singing, That's what
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: I'm a I'm assuming it is. It ain't dancing, it's singing.
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: He thinks either all around performer. What that guy doing?
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: I said, pursue your dreams. IB also said on this
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: show that your dreams should be attached to your gift.
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: I've also said your gift is the thing that you
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: do absolute best with the least amount of effort.
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: I've said all these things thousand times on the show.
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: So obviously the only one think his gift is what
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: you do best is him and his mama.
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: That's it. So when we come back, I'm straighten it
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: all out for you, all.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: Right, Thank you.
- 1:02:58Speaker 5: See we'll have part two of you responds coming up
- 1:03:01Speaker 5: to today's Strawberry Letter at twenty three minutes after the
- 1:03:04Speaker 5: hour of The subject is He's amazing to himself and
- 1:03:08Speaker 5: to his mama. He'll be back right after this. You're
- 1:03:13Speaker 5: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Think about the
- 1:03:21Speaker 5: people who mean the most to you. Giving them valuable

- 1:03:37Speaker 5: eight hundred two five one fifty four hundred, or visit
- 1:03:40Speaker 5: globelifradio dot com. That's one eight hundred two five one
- 1:03:44Speaker 5: fifty four hundred or globelifradio dot com. All right, come on, Steve,
- 1:03:49Speaker 5: let's recap today's Strawberry letter and get to your response
- 1:03:53Speaker 5: Part two.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: He's amazing to himself and his mama is the subject.
- 1:03:58Speaker 3: That title right there just ugly. It's ugly because we've
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: all seen this before. My baby so smart, my baby, ooh,
- 1:04:06Speaker 3: this baby, Oh look, how cute this baby is? That
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: baby is mama cute? That baby is only cute to
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: the mama. Let me explain something to you, and I'll
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: get to that in a minute. Now, what you're not
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: gonna do is Steve said on the show, and give
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: a lot of advice.
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: Some people take it wrong.
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: Steve say follow your dreams, even if you and your
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: forty I did say that, but also said your dreams
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: should be attached to your guilt. Also said your gift
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: should be the things you do the absolute best with
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: at least modern effort.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: Yep, I said all that.
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: So I don't drag no one sentence.
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: Out and isn't all the sudden this letter about me,
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: because let me tell you right now, I'm fina hurt
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: your feeling because I'm taking a little non forty seven,
- 1:04:51Speaker 3: your non talent tousand that you ain't got the carriage
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: to tell him he ain't talent. I'm gonna tell the
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: truth to him because the only one to think he
- 1:04:58Speaker 3: telling is amazing to himself, his mama.
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: I can't even tell you what he thinks he good
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: at because his mama listened to the show dayling she
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: messy enough to tell him on the way we both
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: forty seven.
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: Well, I'm gonna tell you what it is he thinks
- 1:05:10Speaker 3: he can sing. He either do singing or he do
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: spoken word.
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: One of the two.
- 1:05:16Speaker 3: Ain't either one of them gonna make him a drop
- 1:05:19Speaker 3: of money. Cause he's forty seven. Ain't no new forty
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: seven year old singers. You could be a forty seven
- 1:05:26Speaker 3: your old singer, but you got to have already been out.
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: No new forty seven year old singers nowhere.
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: You gotta take this to the church. Okay, stop all
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: this right here.
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: Now, we're both forty seven years old, and he's never
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: giving up on this dream to become famous. That's the
- 1:05:49Speaker 3: other problem. You becoming famous is not up to you.
- 1:05:54Speaker 3: It is up to the public. It has nothing to
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: do with your wants, your talent, your gift, nothing. You
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: become famous because other people admire and want to hear
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: from you. That's how you become famous. He ain't famous
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: yet because don't nobody admire him or want to hear
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: now one of these points or none of these songs. Now,
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: he like a little kid, and if Mama make him
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: perform like you had a house party, been doing that
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: since he was kids. I used to have to come
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: in there and dance for my mama and m and
- 1:06:32Speaker 3: all that, and I hate it danceing. I just come
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: in there and do all types of stuff. Steve, See
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: Steve sound like that man, you be imitating. I do
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: little imitation. I hated that, but I go on to
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: do it because.
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: I ain't want to. We been at a restaurant and
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: mother would have him perform at our table. She looks
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: at him so.
- 1:06:52Speaker 3: Proudly, while I avoid our contact with people around him
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: because I know they try not to laugh at it.
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: You're right what he needed to do the next time
- 1:07:02Speaker 3: he busts out singing, quit looking at Choke, Mama, look yo,
- 1:07:07Speaker 3: throwing this restaurant at the people that can make you famous,
- 1:07:11Speaker 3: cause the letter say you're only amazing to you and
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: your mama. Starting around this restaurant. It's some people in
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: this restaurant looking at Choke like as he lost his
- 1:07:20Speaker 3: rabbit mind. Now you sitting there, he performance. Now I'm
- 1:07:25Speaker 3: stop at home if I'm cooking. He entertained me. Thinks
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: he's amazing in the bedroom. Because that's my fault. I
- 1:07:31Speaker 3: started lying to him. Well, you could change that.
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: Just telling the truth, and that'll carry over into this
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: little talent he think he got and everything. Once you
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: tell the man he ain't nothing in the bedroom. Oh
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: lord Lord.
- 1:07:46Speaker 3: The fact that he's still very interested in being famous
- 1:07:49Speaker 3: but clueless about how terrible he is is an issue
- 1:07:51Speaker 3: for me. His mother builds him up and would never
- 1:07:54Speaker 3: forgive me if I tell him how I really feel
- 1:07:56Speaker 3: about his so called God given town.
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: Well, let me ask you something. Has anybody anywhere told
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: him he can sing anybody? Anybody his mama has, a coworker,
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: a sibling, his cousin gnawed. Anybody anybody told him he
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: do he do this talent at the church because they
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: let anybody sing. You see what I'm saying. You need
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: to get some other opinions.
- 1:08:39Speaker 3: And I think if he pursues managing other people that
- 1:08:43Speaker 3: do what he wants to do, he'd find joy in that.
- 1:08:46Speaker 3: So do I start to tell his mama and make
- 1:08:48Speaker 3: her realize he's not getting a big break? Or should
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: I tell him he don't need to hire another.
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: Manager because he's not telling who is these managers that
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: think he is talent.
- 1:09:00Speaker 6: Something?
- 1:09:00Speaker 3: Anybody can get a manager, because if you don't have talent,
- 1:09:05Speaker 3: you can find somebody that think you do. And now
- 1:09:08Speaker 3: you really going nowhere because you don hide somebody that's
- 1:09:11Speaker 3: a pot judge of character in town. Should I be
- 1:09:14Speaker 3: a dream killer? Let this play out another ten years?
- 1:09:17Speaker 3: Ain't no where in hell he can take it? On
- 1:09:19Speaker 3: Wednesday night up to the world famous Apollo Theater. They
- 1:09:22Speaker 3: will tell you right away whether you need to continue
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: in this profession or not. But it seem with me
- 1:09:29Speaker 3: like you need to take it somewhere pursue something else,
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: all right.

- 1:12:58Speaker 3: I'm going to make a statement on this radio show
- 1:13:02Speaker 3: today that I've heard no one say about Lebron versus Michael.

- 1:13:54Speaker 5: Coming up at the top of the hour, Thank you, Jr.
- 1:13:57Speaker 5: My son moves in with his dad and he's getting
- 1:13:59Speaker 5: a little too with the dad's wife. We'll talk about
- 1:14:01Speaker 5: it right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 1:14:05Speaker 5: Morning Show. This is from Gino and Syracuse. Gino says,
- 1:14:12Speaker 5: my son has moved in with my wife and I.
- 1:14:15Speaker 5: My wife is forty two, my son is thirty eight.
- 1:14:18Speaker 5: She said she's enjoying getting to know him, but I
- 1:14:21Speaker 5: told her to ease up on the time she spends
- 1:14:23Speaker 5: key king with him when I'm not around. My son
- 1:14:27Speaker 5: looks just like me, but he's more buff than I am.
- 1:14:30Speaker 5: I noticed my wife is catering to him too much.
- 1:14:33Speaker 5: She invited him to dinner with us tonight and they
- 1:14:36Speaker 5: dominated the conversation. Should I say something to her about
- 1:14:39Speaker 5: her behavior, how her behavior looks.
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: Will it make me look jealous?
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: You are jealous. It ain't gonna make you look jealous.
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: You jealous? You don't describe your son as he looked
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: just like me, except he mobi is she key key
- 1:14:56Speaker 2: in and laughing and.
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: They're close to the same age two.
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: Now I should not have.
- 1:15:06Speaker 3: Let him move in, right, that's exactly where you are.
- 1:15:11Speaker 3: Ain't no problem. Why is he at your house?
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: What are he thirty? What do you do?
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: He didn't say. But his wife is into it?
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: Oh man, young reversion.
- 1:15:27Speaker 5: Yeah, they can't even go to dinner alone. Now she
- 1:15:30Speaker 5: invites the sun along over.
- 1:15:33Speaker 2: That got your arms folded. You just drinks draw.
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: Straw. So yeah, he is jealous. It'll make him look.
- 1:15:49Speaker 5: Like he's jealous. Yeah, all right, we have time for
- 1:15:52Speaker 5: another one. This is from Aliyah in Portland. Aliah says,
- 1:15:56Speaker 5: my older sister always calls.
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: Me with bad news. It's all negative and it brings
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: me down.
- 1:16:03Speaker 5: She called me early Saturday morning, and I did not
- 1:16:06Speaker 5: pick up because I didn't want my day to start
- 1:16:09Speaker 5: like that. I found out later that she was in
- 1:16:11Speaker 5: a minor car wreck and needed me. I told her
- 1:16:14Speaker 5: that I was sorry, and I told her why I
- 1:16:17Speaker 5: avoided her call that day. She's trying to make me
- 1:16:19Speaker 5: feel bad for not being there for her. Am I
- 1:16:23Speaker 5: wrong for choosing not to take her take on her
- 1:16:26Speaker 5: problems all of the time.
- 1:16:27Speaker 3: Yeah, you're perfectly fine with that. Yeah, stop letting people
- 1:16:31Speaker 3: disrupt your peace. But if all your phone calls is
- 1:16:36Speaker 3: bad news, even this one was bad news, I'm in
- 1:16:38Speaker 3: a car wreck.
- 1:16:39Speaker 2: What you want me to do?

- 1:24:04Speaker 2: fight and cuss at him in argument.
- 1:24:09Speaker 3: Then you had that side tooth mission one time when

- 1:25:22Speaker 1: Uh mak sure.
- 1:25:23Speaker 2: I want to try to make me ins on a
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: couple of things.
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: I'm talking about.
- 1:25:29Speaker 3: Closing, mohocks. It's going to be about things that you
- 1:25:32Speaker 3: had to deal with that may be uncomfortable for you.
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: That's you're closing.
- 1:25:38Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:25:39Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:25:39Speaker 3: I think that all of us have things that we
- 1:25:42Speaker 3: have to deal with and overcome. In my lifetime, we do.
- 1:25:48Speaker 3: I've overcome.
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: It's about you know, well.
- 1:25:51Speaker 2: In the beginning, you know, so it'd be more what's
- 1:25:58Speaker 2: going on? I need my music all day. It shouldn't. Yeah,
- 1:26:08Speaker 2: you need a whole lot more than some music.
- 1:26:11Speaker 6: You know.
- 1:26:11Speaker 3: It's just so many things that we have to deal
- 1:26:13Speaker 3: with as people. I remember when I was young, I
- 1:26:16Speaker 3: was really disturbed at the size of my facial features.
- 1:26:20Speaker 3: I know that I was struggling with my lips and nose,
- 1:26:24Speaker 3: and my mama told me one time, baby, you're gonna
- 1:26:27Speaker 3: grow into them.
- 1:26:28Speaker 2: Don't weary me.
- 1:26:29Speaker 3: And I appreciate her because she helped me through. My
- 1:26:33Speaker 3: mother was the first person that told me to get
- 1:26:35Speaker 3: out the mirror because I was taking a long time
- 1:26:38Speaker 3: to get ready for school. One time I was running late.
- 1:26:40Speaker 3: I was in there picking my hair, and my mama said,
- 1:26:43Speaker 3: get out the mirror. Were running late, and quit primping
- 1:26:47Speaker 3: because you're not You're not attractive. I said, yeah, I
- 1:26:53Speaker 3: was nine. I was nine first giving this information. It
- 1:26:58Speaker 3: just served me well because she said, get out the mirror.
- 1:27:02Speaker 3: Primping because you're not attractive. She said, baby, we don't
- 1:27:06Speaker 3: have attractive men in this family. She said, go in
- 1:27:10Speaker 3: there and look at your daddy. And I went in
- 1:27:14Speaker 3: there and I went, I'll be.
- 1:27:17Speaker 2: And so it helped me deal with reality.
- 1:27:24Speaker 3: And so what I try to do as a older
- 1:27:27Speaker 3: gentleman is help people through their realities, you know, and
- 1:27:32Speaker 3: probably the one that I mean, I've helped Tommy. I
- 1:27:35Speaker 3: can't tell you how many times, you know, realize things
- 1:27:39Speaker 3: about himself and try to move him along.
- 1:27:41Speaker 2: Now it's attractive thing. I'm still fighting with him on
- 1:27:44Speaker 2: this because he is convinced that he's attractive and I'm
- 1:27:48Speaker 2: not changing from that. And it's so troubling when you
- 1:27:52Speaker 2: sit here every morning on his zoom and you look
- 1:27:56Speaker 2: at the screen and you know that he's just not
- 1:28:01Speaker 2: and that when the sooner he comes in that realization,
- 1:28:04Speaker 2: he can move forward. A lot of people not able
- 1:28:06Speaker 2: to move for it because they won't admit it. Shirley
- 1:28:09Speaker 2: was talking about her eyes just a minute ago, and
- 1:28:12Speaker 2: her eyes are huge, huge, I've grown into them and
- 1:28:19Speaker 2: I mean it's it's alarming.
- 1:28:21Speaker 3: And that's that's why she read an uh Sally Jesse
- 1:28:25Speaker 3: Raphael glasses alarming because she tried some thin glasses like
- 1:28:30Speaker 3: Tommy well, but her eyeballs was on the top end, boy,
- 1:28:33Speaker 3: and they was out the frame of the glasses. And
- 1:28:37Speaker 3: I just try to talk with people to help them
- 1:28:39Speaker 3: through their challenges. Yeah, color has needed uh mental therapy
- 1:28:45Speaker 3: for years, and we've dealt with this on the shoulder,
- 1:28:47Speaker 3: her denial and constantly using word allegations. Allegedly, you know
- 1:28:53Speaker 3: you did all this, and you need to come to it.
- 1:28:56Speaker 2: You know you did it. Allegedly. You can cut that
- 1:29:00Speaker 2: man's ties. You busted it when shields out there. We
- 1:29:04Speaker 2: know that legitly you was.
- 1:29:05Speaker 3: You pre camera day, right, But this man right hire
- 1:29:10Speaker 3: been suffering every since, you know, and we never looked
- 1:29:12Speaker 3: him more. If we can just look up her ex
- 1:29:15Speaker 3: and find out how he do it, I'm sure he
- 1:29:17Speaker 3: need help. I can call him if you just be
- 1:29:20Speaker 3: a decent Christian and started go fund me page for
- 1:29:22Speaker 3: this man so he can get back on his feet.
- 1:29:25Speaker 3: He never recovered from that.
- 1:29:27Speaker 2: No finish him.
- 1:29:28Speaker 3: No, you know, Mississippi Monica, we were helping her. She's
- 1:29:34Speaker 3: done lovely jobs. Really, really the most improved person on
- 1:29:40Speaker 3: this show in terms of appearance.
- 1:29:44Speaker 2: She's lost weight. He lost what y'all ain't see it
- 1:29:53Speaker 2: supposed to be positive. I'm heaping y'all.
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: Really, I don't need your help. I don't want your help.
- 1:30:06Speaker 3: And what what spawned uh uh Monica to go get
- 1:30:12Speaker 3: herself in shape and did it on her own and
- 1:30:15Speaker 3: got got her food right, and everything was because I
- 1:30:19Speaker 3: had said something on the ad that inspired her one
- 1:30:23Speaker 3: more and I said something to Monica about saying maybe
- 1:30:26Speaker 3: something uh wait, and I wasn't I was I wasn't
- 1:30:30Speaker 3: talking directly to her, but she was on the fine
- 1:30:33Speaker 3: line and it affected her. And now look at it,
- 1:30:35Speaker 3: it's just praise God.
- 1:30:38Speaker 2: And then.
- 1:30:41Speaker 3: And look at all the help we've given Junior over there,
- 1:30:44Speaker 3: and just it's just I think this is the year
- 1:30:46Speaker 3: where it all takes a fact. I think twenty twenty
- 1:30:48Speaker 3: six is going to be a turnaround year for Junior
- 1:30:50Speaker 3: because take Junior gonna realize.
- 1:30:52Speaker 2: A lot of stuff. You know, like what what do
- 1:30:55Speaker 2: you think? Yeah? What like the word receding. The word
- 1:31:03Speaker 2: receding it actually it actually is. It's an old Greek word.
- 1:31:07Speaker 2: It means gone. That's what it means. It's gone back.
- 1:31:13Speaker 3: And then Tommy, you know, Julius have a side tooth missing. Yeah,
- 1:31:21Speaker 3: and he went and got that fixed. Asking it was
- 1:31:24Speaker 3: like a whole chip. Lit It was like a chip.
- 1:31:27Speaker 3: It was just gone out of his head on the side.
- 1:31:29Speaker 10: You're supposed to leave that at the last segment. There's
- 1:31:32Speaker 10: no reason for you to bring that up.
- 1:31:35Speaker 2: I don't know anyway. Look at all that I've done
- 1:31:39Speaker 2: by encouraging these members on the Morning Shoes. No, y'all
- 1:31:42Speaker 2: are so welcome.
- 1:31:43Speaker 3: Thank y'all keep talking to God today because God would
- 1:31:47Speaker 3: love to hear from you, and your barber would too.
- 1:31:54Speaker 2: God wants to talk to him about you.
