- 1:47Speaker 1: wan go come come on your back. Uh huh I
- 2:02Speaker 1: shore will good marded everybody you're listening to the voice,
- 2:06Speaker 1: Come on dig me now, one and all. It's Steve
- 2:09Speaker 1: Harvey got a radio show. Well all right, I've learned
- 2:16Speaker 1: something and in sharing time, and I am all ever
- 2:23Speaker 1: appreciate it. I do appreciate God for all that he
- 2:27Speaker 1: allows me to learn in my life. And what I've learned.
- 2:33Speaker 1: One of the best lessons I've learned is that hardship
- 2:42Speaker 1: teaches you some great lessons. Challenges brings about some of
- 2:48Speaker 1: my best results. I think what I'm trying to say
- 2:52Speaker 1: is and every challenge and hardship, every setback, I've learned
- 3:00Speaker 1: something so so valuable. And it comes It just comes
- 3:05Speaker 1: down to all all. It just comes down to how
- 3:09Speaker 1: you look at it. You know, um, you've you've all
- 3:13Speaker 1: heard this. We've all heard it. You can look at
- 3:15Speaker 1: the glass and you can see it half empty or
- 3:18Speaker 1: half full. It's amazing how many people see the glass
- 3:22Speaker 1: half empty. I am telling you right now, it's better
- 3:27Speaker 1: to see the glass half full. See you can you
- 3:31Speaker 1: You come away with a lot more when you use
- 3:34Speaker 1: a positive approach. So here's here's what I've You know,
- 3:40Speaker 1: I've known this, but I've just learned it at a
- 3:42Speaker 1: different angle. Appreciation and gratitude is the key to having more.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Appreciation and gratitude is the keep is the key to
- 3:56Speaker 1: continued blessings. Appreciation and gratitude is the key to open
- 4:04Speaker 1: it up the windows of heaven to pull out a
- 4:07Speaker 1: blessing that you won't have rude enough to receive. Now,
- 4:13Speaker 1: I don't know how that sound to you, but I
- 4:18Speaker 1: can't tell you how true it is. Okay, let's look
- 4:22Speaker 1: at it this way. God being fair and just as
- 4:26Speaker 1: he really is. He really is. He's a fair and
- 4:28Speaker 1: a just God. What's most beneficial to us is he
- 4:32Speaker 1: happens to be full of mercy and grace. And I'm
- 4:40Speaker 1: telling you something, man, I've probably benefited from his grace
- 4:47Speaker 1: and mercy more than anything else. I mean, really, man,
- 4:52Speaker 1: if it wasn't for him just forgiving me, and then
- 4:57Speaker 1: for him just touching my life the way he has,
- 5:02Speaker 1: I mean, I'm not I'm not hearing this position today.
- 5:05Speaker 1: I'm just not. But a funny thing has happened along
- 5:09Speaker 1: the way, even to you. If you look at it,
- 5:13Speaker 1: is it your genuine appreciation and gratitude has been the
- 5:18Speaker 1: key to you having more for your continued blessings and
- 5:24Speaker 1: for making room for having to open up and pour
- 5:28Speaker 1: out blessings that you don't have room enough to receive.
- 5:31Speaker 1: If you look at it, see God being a fair
- 5:34Speaker 1: and just god, which he is, why would he put
- 5:40Speaker 1: more on you than you can bad? If you've noticed
- 5:44Speaker 1: everything that's happened in your life, if you're still here,
- 5:48Speaker 1: you've made it. You don't forget how rough it was,
- 5:51Speaker 1: got that, but you made it. Forget what it sent
- 5:56Speaker 1: you through when it hid made you feel you made it. Now,
- 6:03Speaker 1: what makes people give up, and you hear about people
- 6:05Speaker 1: committing suicide, is they leave the God out of their
- 6:08Speaker 1: life and they start allowing that other voice to control.
- 6:13Speaker 1: And if it's really true that God never puts more
- 6:15Speaker 1: on you than you can bear. As long as you
- 6:18Speaker 1: stay connected to God, you can get through anything. But
- 6:22Speaker 1: you lose that connection, you lose that communication, you lose
- 6:28Speaker 1: that relationship with him. If you're not having a relationship
- 6:32Speaker 1: with God, then who you have in a relationship with
- 6:36Speaker 1: Now it's and it ain't but two forces at work
- 6:40Speaker 1: at all time. It's good and evil. It's positive and
- 6:46Speaker 1: negative is God is Satan? Now this this is at
- 6:52Speaker 1: work all the time. So if you're not being positive
- 6:56Speaker 1: about everything, you leave room for negativity to step been.
- 7:01Speaker 1: If you if you're not trying to be righteous in
- 7:04Speaker 1: your way, then you allow evil to step in. If
- 7:08Speaker 1: you don't work on your relationship with God. Come on, now,
- 7:13Speaker 1: look who you're letting step in. So now I'm I'm
- 7:17Speaker 1: asking you to understand that God never puts more on
- 7:22Speaker 1: you than you can bar. Okay, now that we got
- 7:24Speaker 1: that clear, that's a fact. Okay. Now with that fact
- 7:27Speaker 1: in mind, let's go over this right here. Why would God,
- 7:30Speaker 1: being as just and merciful as he is, put more
- 7:35Speaker 1: on you than you can bear? Example, if God has
- 7:39Speaker 1: given you blessings and all you're doing is complaining about them.
- 7:45Speaker 1: You're never showing any appreciation of gratitude about it. Why
- 7:48Speaker 1: would he give you some most stuff to be ungrateful for?
- 7:52Speaker 1: Why would he give you some more stuff to complain about?
- 7:55Speaker 1: Why would he give you some more stuff that you
- 7:57Speaker 1: would not show any more appreciation for? I mean, this
- 8:00Speaker 1: thing is real simple, man, ain't it if you think
- 8:03Speaker 1: about it? So? A lot of times, man, when I
- 8:05Speaker 1: was going through my positions of not having and and
- 8:08Speaker 1: wondering at all like here, I ended up checking myself
- 8:11Speaker 1: and going mad. I'm not even showing any gratitude or
- 8:14Speaker 1: appreciation for the things he has done for me. Start
- 8:18Speaker 1: showing some appreciation and gratitude, because it's the key to
- 8:21Speaker 1: having more. It's the key to continued blessings, is the
- 8:25Speaker 1: key to the windows of heaven opening up and pouring
- 8:28Speaker 1: out a blessing that you won't have room enough to receive.
- 8:32Speaker 1: It's the appreciation and gratitude of what you already have,
- 8:37Speaker 1: as minimal as it may appear to be right now
- 8:41Speaker 1: for you, it is still what you have. But if
- 8:45Speaker 1: you've shown no gratuation, no, no gratitude for the minimal,
- 8:50Speaker 1: why would he give you the maximum. I mean, I'm
- 8:55Speaker 1: just really just trying to put it real, real, simple
- 8:59Speaker 1: so I can keep understanding this thing right here. So
- 9:02Speaker 1: let me give you an example. In my life, I
- 9:05Speaker 1: had gotten so busy at one point that I had
- 9:09Speaker 1: began to complain about how busy I was. This is
- 9:15Speaker 1: true because I am busy, but it ain't the busy
- 9:19Speaker 1: part because I asked to be busy. You know, I
- 9:23Speaker 1: asked God to give me opportunities and to make a
- 9:27Speaker 1: way for me. Well, in that you got to do
- 9:29Speaker 1: something and you got to get busy, but I would.
- 9:32Speaker 1: I began to complain about the business and how busy
- 9:36Speaker 1: I was, and I noticed that a couple of things
- 9:40Speaker 1: slowed up for me. So I had got to the
- 9:43Speaker 1: point where I wasn't showing real gratitude for it. Well,
- 9:47Speaker 1: I looked up and a couple of things started slowing down.
- 9:50Speaker 1: And then I had to catch myself, and I went, wow, man,
- 9:53Speaker 1: you have got to start embracing the fact that you
- 9:57Speaker 1: are this busy. Embrace the fact. To quote, all comes
- 10:01Speaker 1: along with it. Because to whom much is given, much
- 10:03Speaker 1: is required. You got to start embracing the requirement part.
- 10:08Speaker 1: If you want to continue with the giving part. So
- 10:11Speaker 1: I changed my attitude. I caught myself and I started
- 10:15Speaker 1: thinking him and showing real gratitude for how busy I
- 10:17Speaker 1: was instead of complaining about how busy I was. And
- 10:20Speaker 1: then guess what. It opened up the windows of heaven
- 10:23Speaker 1: and some more blessings got poured out. It just works
- 10:26Speaker 1: that way all the time, for everybody, for me, for you,
- 10:29Speaker 1: for everybody. So listen, y'all again. Your appreciation and gratitude
- 10:35Speaker 1: is the key to having more. Your appreciation and gratitude
- 10:38Speaker 1: is the key to continued blessings. And your appreciation and
- 10:41Speaker 1: gratitude it's the only way that you can get those
- 10:45Speaker 1: windows of heaven to open up and pour out these
- 10:47Speaker 1: blessings that you won't have room enough to receive. You
- 10:50Speaker 1: gotta act like you're glad for what you got in
- 10:53Speaker 1: order to get more. You feel me, Let's go to ladies, gentlemen,
- 11:04Speaker 1: boys and girls. Steve Harvey, Marty show Man, on Man
- 11:08Speaker 1: Live and Living Color. Another great day, great day to
- 11:12Speaker 1: be alive, great day to show gratitude. The more you're
- 11:17Speaker 1: thankful for, the more God will give you to be
- 11:20Speaker 1: thankful for. It's an amazing principle of success, very simple
- 11:26Speaker 1: to do, very hard for people to do that, though
- 11:29Speaker 1: myself included. Sometimes you'd be so busy asking God for
- 11:33Speaker 1: stuff all the time that you forget to thank him
- 11:37Speaker 1: without asking for nothing. Just thank you, thank you, thank you,
- 11:41Speaker 1: And if you go down to list, it takes you
- 11:43Speaker 1: a minute and then guess what he said. Okay, so
- 11:48Speaker 1: he's grateful. Now let me go on and give him
- 11:50Speaker 1: some most of to be grateful for, because if you
- 11:53Speaker 1: don't show gratitude for it and it seems over burdensome
- 11:57Speaker 1: for you, then what he does is he slows was
- 12:00Speaker 1: down to give it because oh seems like it got
- 12:03Speaker 1: to him a little bit too much. Let me hold
- 12:05Speaker 1: up till you get all right again. Don't block your
- 12:08Speaker 1: blessed and show some gratitude. Shirley Straw. Grateful to be here, Steve,
- 12:13Speaker 1: Thank you Lord, how you doing? You're calling for real?
- 12:17Speaker 1: Thank you Jesus, Amen, Amen again, Good morning, crew, jor morning.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Thank your father for everything that I am right now. Hallelujah.
- 12:29Speaker 1: And that's it, Steve, it's just us. You didn't see
- 12:33Speaker 1: me asking nobody one thing about me. Shirley, I got
- 12:41Speaker 1: this far without timing or j They're both off today,
- 12:46Speaker 1: by the way, off call it what you want to
- 12:49Speaker 1: call it. But I didn't got this far without either
- 12:52Speaker 1: one of them. I will find a way to continue on.
- 12:57Speaker 1: I didn't say it for that. It was just an
- 12:59Speaker 1: acknowledgement they're not here. No, I want to feel people in.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Let's be clear where you start going off. I'm glad
- 13:08Speaker 1: to have you on the show and everything. Been some
- 13:10Speaker 1: wonderful editions here. Man, tell me, but if y'all go
- 13:14Speaker 1: away Steve Harvey, I mean, I'm just saying. I'm just saying,
- 13:20Speaker 1: you know, if they get together, because you know, both
- 13:22Speaker 1: of them kind of awfu a little bit. If they
- 13:24Speaker 1: sit down and had this two man conversation, we're gonna
- 13:27Speaker 1: go get our own radio show and go head to
- 13:29Speaker 1: head with Steve. I'm a bear, dad. I don't know.
- 13:37Speaker 1: I just felt like doing something, you know, started off
- 13:42Speaker 1: thanking God and all that, and then yeah, yeah, hey, hey,
- 13:52Speaker 1: let me tell you something. Lord know what I do.
- 13:54Speaker 1: He made me. He knew right after I thanked him
- 13:58Speaker 1: that this year was coming. That's the shame right at
- 14:02Speaker 1: while I was thinking, my child, my child, my child.
- 14:10Speaker 1: But it is good to be alive, so much to
- 14:13Speaker 1: be greatful for Steve. You're right, we have a great
- 14:17Speaker 1: day to day. Oh yeah, let's do radio man, what okay,
- 14:22Speaker 1: let's do this. Coming up at thirty two after the hour,
- 14:26Speaker 1: we're gonna talk about our favorite Michael Jackson song. Steve
- 14:29Speaker 1: is going to share some of his Michael Jackson's stories
- 14:32Speaker 1: with us as we remember the King of pop on
- 14:35Speaker 1: what would have been his sixtieth birthday today, Yeah, sixty today,
- 14:41Speaker 1: we'll celebrate right after this. You're listening to Steve Show,
- 14:46Speaker 1: all right. Yesterday, thousands and thousands of fans lined up
- 14:50Speaker 1: for the public viewing of the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin,
- 14:53Speaker 1: and she will lie in state again today at Charles H.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Wright Museum for African American History at three fifteen East
- 15:00Speaker 1: Warren Avenue, Detroit, UM. So wow, amazing. I mean, did
- 15:06Speaker 1: you guys see the picture of the queen in her
- 15:09Speaker 1: casket with all her red on and her red pumps,
- 15:11Speaker 1: her legs were out. Yeah yeah, I think you posted
- 15:15Speaker 1: it on your Instagram, Steve. It was nice. Oh yeah,
- 15:20Speaker 1: you know the way it is to honor her that way,
- 15:23Speaker 1: and you know remember her. I mean, come on, just
- 15:25Speaker 1: a queen of soul, yes, And I like the way
- 15:32Speaker 1: Paul McCartney said it's the queen of souls. Souls. Yeah, yes, yes, yes.
- 15:43Speaker 1: If you really listen to her voice anything, it's crazy, man, Yeah,
- 15:48Speaker 1: I mean, and she could sing anything, Steve, Yeah, yeah,
- 15:53Speaker 1: she could. And and that's you know, and you you
- 15:56Speaker 1: kind of forget this until you hear these songs again
- 15:59Speaker 1: because so much modern music has come and gone since then,
- 16:03Speaker 1: and you know, she's been around so long, you know,
- 16:06Speaker 1: and you see the Beyonce is that Rihanna's you know,
- 16:09Speaker 1: all these people coming around saying that you kind of forget.
- 16:13Speaker 1: But man, when you hear her voice, I'll tell you
- 16:16Speaker 1: what she she she'll back down off. Nobody. People got
- 16:21Speaker 1: back up. That's right, that's right, got got got straight.
- 16:24Speaker 1: If she started saying that, got to go sit down somewhere.
- 16:28Speaker 1: And then Elton John and some other artists were saying
- 16:31Speaker 1: her piano playing was very underrated. He said she was
- 16:35Speaker 1: one of the best piano players and she had no
- 16:38Speaker 1: formal lessons or anything like that. She played by ear,
- 16:41Speaker 1: you know, just genius with it. And she's a bad girl,
- 16:45Speaker 1: yes she was, and she will be missed, yes she will. Yeah.
- 16:50Speaker 1: So again, if you want to see the picture of Aretha,
- 16:53Speaker 1: it's posted on Steve Harvey f M. Yeah. Also today, Cy,
- 16:58Speaker 1: we're going to remember and sell a break the life
- 17:00Speaker 1: of Michael Jackson of what would have been his sixtieth birthday.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Man Ain't that cold? Michae would have been sixty? Can
- 17:08Speaker 1: you imagine the King of pop sixty? Right? Tell us
- 17:13Speaker 1: about the time he went to church with him, Steve.
- 17:15Speaker 1: It was during the time of the trial, and uh,
- 17:18Speaker 1: I first got a call from Ramon Bains, who I'm
- 17:22Speaker 1: telling you man, really really really really did Michael justice
- 17:26Speaker 1: really really treated him? Well, yeah, Ramon Bains actually loved him,
- 17:33Speaker 1: and uh, you know, people don't know the real story.
- 17:36Speaker 1: That girl right there and loved that man and try
- 17:39Speaker 1: to protect him from all types of time. So she
- 17:41Speaker 1: called me Sis says, Steve, Michael wants to go to
- 17:44Speaker 1: church and he wants to know if you take him.
- 17:47Speaker 1: And I said, really what you want to go church for?
- 17:50Speaker 1: She said, you know, he just he needs prayer. I said, okay, cool.
- 17:53Speaker 1: So I called up Chip Mary over at All first
- 17:58Speaker 1: called him up and he said we loved have it
- 18:01Speaker 1: And I said, well, don't tell nobody coming. He said
- 18:04Speaker 1: I won't and he didn't. But when Michael moved it
- 18:08Speaker 1: word get out. Hey, man, we were doing okay, coming
- 18:12Speaker 1: off the tin. We got on Creenshaw, we turned on
- 18:15Speaker 1: Adams and it went to parking spot. Nowhere just all
- 18:19Speaker 1: of a sudden, all the way up Adams, Cause, Cause Cause,
- 18:23Speaker 1: and then we just saw TV trucks, TV trucks reporters.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Reporter who said something. Mike said, oh my god, everyone's here, said,
- 18:38Speaker 1: oh my god, everyone's here, but here the crazy part.
- 18:44Speaker 1: I went to pick him up, right. I went to
- 18:46Speaker 1: his hotel. He had gut it. The whole first floor
- 18:49Speaker 1: of this hotel, the whole top floor of this hotel
- 18:52Speaker 1: just turned into his apartment because he didn't want to
- 18:55Speaker 1: drive from Neverland to Court all the time. So he
- 18:59Speaker 1: just got to the place like that, got at the
- 19:01Speaker 1: whole floor turning in his house. No, this dude's got here. Yeah,
- 19:05Speaker 1: he had another kind of money. So I go pick
- 19:09Speaker 1: him up and Mike, I said, Mike, I'm here. Man.
- 19:13Speaker 1: In a minute, he said, all right, dog dog, he's
- 19:22Speaker 1: so dog yeah, calling me in where A couple of
- 19:30Speaker 1: times he laughed so hard. I can't believe you're doing that.
- 19:32Speaker 1: This bodyguards and man, don't nobody talk to him like that. Man,
- 19:35Speaker 1: I got no time for that. I'm real with it. Man,
- 19:38Speaker 1: we're gonna be boys. We're gonna be boys. And if
- 19:40Speaker 1: you don't want to be this man, just let me
- 19:41Speaker 1: know when we ain't to come over here, little right.
- 19:44Speaker 1: So Mike come out the back, and he come out
- 19:48Speaker 1: the back of the pants on had one stripe on
- 19:50Speaker 1: one pants. One pair's leg had a stripe on it.
- 19:54Speaker 1: He had that jacket with them shoulder pads on it,
- 19:57Speaker 1: with them shingles on it on one side, had a
- 20:00Speaker 1: stripe on one of the sleeves. Wasn't no stripe on
- 20:02Speaker 1: all these pendants? A man, Mike came out and said, Mike,
- 20:07Speaker 1: you ain't got no regular suit. He said, this is
- 20:13Speaker 1: this is all I have. He said, what's wrong? You
- 20:17Speaker 1: like it? I said, man, go to church, which you
- 20:20Speaker 1: look just like Calvin Crunch. That's it right, he call me.
- 20:34Speaker 1: I'm sitting here, ain't laughing at all? It man embarrassed me. Man,
- 20:38Speaker 1: you ain't got no regular suit, only costumes and out
- 20:41Speaker 1: for this from the tailors or the fabric is a
- 20:45Speaker 1: hundred years old. What that's when he was saying stuff
- 20:50Speaker 1: that I didn't even understand. It's jacket. I had to
- 20:53Speaker 1: have it. It was seventy thousand dollars. Like wow, I said,
- 20:58Speaker 1: Mike for one jacket. You know, back then I had
- 21:01Speaker 1: to hand money like that wardrobe r hunted. All right, Steve,
- 21:22Speaker 1: you gotta finish this story. You have great stories about
- 21:25Speaker 1: Michael Jackson. As we celebrate the King of Pops what
- 21:27Speaker 1: would have been his sixtieth birthday, and coming up next,
- 21:31Speaker 1: run that prank back right after this. You're listening to
- 21:35Speaker 1: the Steven Show coming up at the top of the
- 21:38Speaker 1: hour and Entertainment news. We are celebrating the King of
- 21:42Speaker 1: Pop on what would have been his sixtieth birthday, and
- 21:45Speaker 1: people on social media are not happy that Thriller is
- 21:48Speaker 1: no longer the best selling album of all time. But
- 21:51Speaker 1: right now, uh yeah, yeah, I didn't know that. We'll
- 21:54Speaker 1: talk about it though later, but right now, Junior is
- 21:57Speaker 1: here in for the nephew to tell us about on
- 22:00Speaker 1: that prank back. What you got Junior for? I gotta
- 22:08Speaker 1: say it like that ship over the top. He always think,
- 22:17Speaker 1: what are you doing? Tom? All right? Hello, Hello, I'm
- 22:22Speaker 1: trying to reach Au and Isaac Career. Please speaking mass calling.
- 22:27Speaker 1: My name is Attorney Rob Rob. I'm a representative for
- 22:30Speaker 1: Mr Victor. You're you're with um gospel groupment of standard.
- 22:35Speaker 1: I am I correct? Yeah? Yeah? Who you said? You representing? Again? Um?
- 22:38Speaker 1: My client's name is Victor. You guys did a great
- 22:42Speaker 1: album I must admit, called Surrounded, yes, sir, that was
- 22:47Speaker 1: dropped in July of oh seven. Is that correct? Yes, sir? Great? Great.
- 22:51Speaker 1: You guys financially did pretty good on that. Am I correct?
- 22:56Speaker 1: God bless us? It was. It was cool. What what
- 22:58Speaker 1: is this call pretending to, sir? Well, now you guys
- 23:01Speaker 1: have a song on there called I Will, Yes, sir,
- 23:04Speaker 1: and that supposedly was the one of the hit songs
- 23:07Speaker 1: on the actual album. Correct, some would say, okay? And
- 23:12Speaker 1: how many people are actually in your group? It's three members?
- 23:15Speaker 1: Sorry again, what is this call pretending to Because I'm
- 23:17Speaker 1: funny he'd did them with my family, you know, no problem. Uh.
- 23:21Speaker 1: What we got here is now you you um the
- 23:25Speaker 1: song I Will? Could you actually tell me who wrote
- 23:28Speaker 1: the song? Minister wrote the song? The three members of
- 23:31Speaker 1: the group and the producer won Okay, Um, what's what's
- 23:36Speaker 1: going on here? Is Victor who I represent, is telling
- 23:40Speaker 1: me that he actually wrote the song I Will. And
- 23:43Speaker 1: we've got documentations, We've got all of the tracks the song.
- 23:49Speaker 1: I will Mr Isaakur heard that part, sir, but I'm
- 23:52Speaker 1: I'm on the fact that he said he wrote the song,
- 23:55Speaker 1: you know. And it amazes me when when you gospel people,
- 23:58Speaker 1: you guys, you you do this this whole religious thing,
- 24:01Speaker 1: and then you don't hold on first of all, I
- 24:04Speaker 1: don't you know, all due respect, I don't know you. You
- 24:06Speaker 1: You don't know me. And for you to be, you know,
- 24:08Speaker 1: making accusations as if we took somebody else a song.
- 24:11Speaker 1: When we were in the studio with the producer, he
- 24:14Speaker 1: did the track right there on the spot. We wrote
- 24:16Speaker 1: the lyrics right there on the slot. Then we went
- 24:18Speaker 1: in the booth and recording. Now, how does this gentleman
- 24:20Speaker 1: have the same uh, the same song, same lyrics, documentation
- 24:25Speaker 1: and copyright. You have to ask your client that I
- 24:28Speaker 1: have nothing to do with that. To be about this
- 24:31Speaker 1: right here, you get you to get with your client,
- 24:34Speaker 1: then I can get with my attorney. We can meet together,
- 24:36Speaker 1: because this right here, I don't do this well for
- 24:38Speaker 1: my understanding. You're you're the spokesperson or the leader of
- 24:40Speaker 1: this group. We all listen that wants to lead everything
- 24:43Speaker 1: in this group. So you're the that's the reason why
- 24:46Speaker 1: the group we all hold out on. But I'll tell you,
- 24:48Speaker 1: just like they'll tell you, we didn't steal no song,
- 24:50Speaker 1: take no song or anything like that. So your information
- 24:53Speaker 1: is correct. Your client is lying. So you're telling me
- 24:55Speaker 1: you didn't steal the song. I'm telling you we wrote
- 24:58Speaker 1: the song. That means the song belongs to us. You
- 25:01Speaker 1: don't think there's any thievery and this whatsoever? Of course not.
- 25:04Speaker 1: I mean I never thought i'd be handling a case
- 25:08Speaker 1: with some religious thievery. I mean, this is this is
- 25:10Speaker 1: like a religious FuG So first of all, all the
- 25:15Speaker 1: you know, you've been condescending and all that, trying to
- 25:17Speaker 1: talk over my head and trying to talk to me,
- 25:19Speaker 1: talk down on me. That's what we're not gonna do.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Respect me, just like I'm giving you respect. All I'm
- 25:23Speaker 1: saying is the facts state this. We wrote the song.
- 25:27Speaker 1: You look on the back of the album. You can
- 25:28Speaker 1: see our publisher. You can see the names on the
- 25:31Speaker 1: song who wrote the song. We were there, sir. I
- 25:34Speaker 1: look on the back and you know what I see.
- 25:35Speaker 1: I see a bunch of lies. Okay, well take that
- 25:38Speaker 1: up with our attorneys, because I got a client here
- 25:40Speaker 1: who's got it. Copy written. He's got all the lyrics,
- 25:43Speaker 1: all of the tracks. It's the exact same things that
- 25:45Speaker 1: I'm hearing on your album. Your client is lying if
- 25:48Speaker 1: he said he wrote the song I Wheel, and then
- 25:50Speaker 1: maybe he wrote a song called will I or will
- 25:53Speaker 1: I Am or something else, like, he didn't write I Wheel,
- 25:55Speaker 1: not not Ironan did. He could have wrote a song
- 25:57Speaker 1: called I Will, but it wasn't the rendition that we
- 26:00Speaker 1: I sir, Missier career will take you to court if
- 26:02Speaker 1: we don't get this matter rectified. Please do, sir. I
- 26:05Speaker 1: welcome that. I welcome that get your client. We can
- 26:08Speaker 1: go to court. How do you want to do it.
- 26:10Speaker 1: But at the end of the day, you're gonna lose
- 26:12Speaker 1: because we don't steal music. We're men of God. I'm
- 26:14Speaker 1: not just saying that we're men of God. We do
- 26:16Speaker 1: music and we've been doing it for twenty years. We
- 26:18Speaker 1: have a great reputation that God industry. God know your
- 26:20Speaker 1: stole a song. Sir. Again, I'm not gonna keep going
- 26:25Speaker 1: back and forth with you. You know you're being very disrespected.
- 26:27Speaker 1: You know I you know all my life, you know
- 26:29Speaker 1: I'm a I'm a person that believes in a higher being.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Of course, I'm not. I'm not in a gospel arena.
- 26:34Speaker 1: I believe that I can tell what do you mean
- 26:36Speaker 1: by that? Sir? What I mean is you're sitting here
- 26:39Speaker 1: calling me. You don't know me, you don't have your
- 26:41Speaker 1: information correct, and you don't have your facts right. But
- 26:43Speaker 1: you're calling me saying that we stole a song that
- 26:46Speaker 1: one of your clients. You do you do your home
- 26:47Speaker 1: or First of all, you must not be a great attorney.
- 26:49Speaker 1: With all due respect, I'm not great. You are a
- 26:54Speaker 1: great fief is what you are, sir. Your tone is
- 26:57Speaker 1: what you need to change. You're not gonna disrespect. If
- 27:00Speaker 1: you want to further deal with the situation, get in
- 27:02Speaker 1: touch with the attorney, get in touch with the record
- 27:04Speaker 1: labor that we recorded that album with it. You'd like
- 27:06Speaker 1: to meet with you and talk to you personally, well, sir,
- 27:09Speaker 1: I'll tell you what. Since you want to meet with me,
- 27:11Speaker 1: that's fine because the Baba says in business, be mean.
- 27:13Speaker 1: We can get together. Now. You're pushing my buttons. Now
- 27:16Speaker 1: if you really want to meet with me, I can
- 27:18Speaker 1: put hands on you. I'm gonna lay hands on you
- 27:19Speaker 1: like to preach you. Do you want you're not? Only
- 27:21Speaker 1: do you still music. Now you want to fight me?
- 27:23Speaker 1: Is that what you're saying. I'm just telling you right now, sir,
- 27:25Speaker 1: that let's handle it face to face. Let me see you,
- 27:28Speaker 1: let me see you that. What are you gonna do?
- 27:30Speaker 1: You're gonna bring you with But all this foolishes on
- 27:33Speaker 1: the phone right here, that's not what I'm gonna take.
- 27:35Speaker 1: I don't got a church today, and I had a
- 27:37Speaker 1: good time in church and the praise the Lord artist
- 27:38Speaker 1: and come home trying to eat dinner, trying to watch
- 27:40Speaker 1: the game. You're gonna call me with some foolishness like this.
- 27:43Speaker 1: I don't have time for this dog like real talk.
- 27:45Speaker 1: Dom I have. And when I read this book and says,
- 27:48Speaker 1: uh Peter through his net to the side, casting the
- 27:52Speaker 1: way God told him to as a fisherman. And what
- 27:55Speaker 1: you've done, you've jumped in Mr Victor's net and taking
- 27:58Speaker 1: out what has been in the him. First of all,
- 28:01Speaker 1: I don't even like fish. I eat salmon occasionally. I
- 28:04Speaker 1: don't even like fish. So whatever fish that he sold
- 28:06Speaker 1: his fish too, whatever the soul food restaurant he took
- 28:09Speaker 1: that too, that can't fit. That's on them me. We
- 28:13Speaker 1: do things indecency and in order just like the word
- 28:15Speaker 1: of God tells us to do. We do our music,
- 28:18Speaker 1: we hand our business work. We do our music and
- 28:20Speaker 1: we handle the business side. Are you about handled out business?
- 28:25Speaker 1: We have the uh, the proper credentials and documents to
- 28:29Speaker 1: prove that we wrote the song. We got copy on
- 28:32Speaker 1: the court for fifty five thousand. Are you kidding me?
- 28:37Speaker 1: That's my final offer one of you guys coming out
- 28:39Speaker 1: with another album. I guess when you guys get through
- 28:41Speaker 1: stealing some more music. I told you now, I told
- 28:45Speaker 1: you one time. I'm gonna tell you one more time.
- 28:47Speaker 1: We don't steal music. Were a man of integrity with
- 28:49Speaker 1: men of standard. We don't do that. We don't have
- 28:51Speaker 1: to do No, no no, no, I don't you guys stand
- 28:54Speaker 1: it's what are you see? It's fevery what are you foss? Or?
- 28:59Speaker 1: We can meet face to face. You want, you want
- 29:01Speaker 1: me to mack him, but I ain't go. I ain't
- 29:03Speaker 1: gona I ain' gonna lay hands on you. But I
- 29:04Speaker 1: will slap you in the mouth for this Bible because
- 29:06Speaker 1: you need to be here to work, because you're crazy. Man.
- 29:08Speaker 1: If you talk about we stole your music, sir, I
- 29:10Speaker 1: got one more thing I want to say to you.
- 29:12Speaker 1: So you don't got nothing to say to me? Man,
- 29:14Speaker 1: I got something else I want to say. Man, what
- 29:17Speaker 1: you need to say to me? Man, this is nephew
- 29:19Speaker 1: caught me from the Steve Army Morning. So I got you.
- 29:22Speaker 1: I think I think I got you. Thomas Miles, Thomas Mouth,
- 29:33Speaker 1: Thomas Mole. I almost couldn't hole it. I got you.
- 29:39Speaker 1: Let me tell you something. You almost made me put
- 29:41Speaker 1: my religion down. Boy, you don't understand. I don't want
- 29:45Speaker 1: the church's morning God moves, but I'm about to go
- 29:48Speaker 1: in here and lose it on you this Thomas Mile. Hey, man,
- 29:56Speaker 1: one more thing, man, what is the baddest Tell me, man,
- 29:58Speaker 1: what's the baddest radio shown? You already know. It's the
- 30:02Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show, all right, coming up next and
- 30:16Speaker 1: Entertainment News. Yesterday, thousands from all over the country lined
- 30:19Speaker 1: up for the public viewing of the Queen of Soul
- 30:21Speaker 1: as Sheila in State. Uh. And we'll talk about that
- 30:24Speaker 1: when we come back. Right after this. You're listening to
- 30:27Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up in twenty minutes.
- 30:33Speaker 1: A little twist on our game today, Tommy's out, so
- 30:36Speaker 1: we'll see if Uncle Steve is smarter than Junior. That's right,
- 30:39Speaker 1: your favorite play cousin, Junior. Uh, we're gonna ask some
- 30:43Speaker 1: We're gonna have some fun with it and then ask
- 30:45Speaker 1: the guys Michael Jackson trivia questions. That's how we're gonna
- 30:48Speaker 1: play the game today on what have been would have
- 30:50Speaker 1: been the King of Michael Jackson trivia question. Yeah, we're
- 30:53Speaker 1: gonna ask me Jackson. Where we'll see anyway, This would
- 30:59Speaker 1: have been the King of Pop sixtieth birthday Steve. Yesterday,
- 31:03Speaker 1: thousands from all over the country lined up for public
- 31:06Speaker 1: viewing of the Queen of Soul, Miss Franklin's body. Yeah,
- 31:09Speaker 1: Miss Franklin's body will lie in repost at the Charles H.
- 31:13Speaker 1: Rice Right Museum for African American History. That's a three
- 31:16Speaker 1: fifteen East Warren Avenue in Detroit. Her body rests and
- 31:20Speaker 1: a fourteen carried gold plated Promethean casket which has a
- 31:25Speaker 1: Champagne velvet interior. Alright, it also has Queen of Soul
- 31:31Speaker 1: and Aretha Franklin embroidered in the caskid lining. As for
- 31:36Speaker 1: her day one viewing outfit, Aretha was dressed in head
- 31:40Speaker 1: to toe red, including a ruby red dress, custom red earrings.
- 31:46Speaker 1: Bright red nails and lipstick and of course five inch
- 31:51Speaker 1: red pumps. Alright, queen, come on, queen, did you say
- 31:56Speaker 1: day one? I said day one viewing? Okay, that was yesterday,
- 32:00Speaker 1: because they will have another viewing today, adding the Queen
- 32:04Speaker 1: of Soul is Diva to the end. Okay. Um, what
- 32:08Speaker 1: we wanted to do is to be reflective of the queen.
- 32:11Speaker 1: That's according to the museum board member Kelly Major Uh.
- 32:15Speaker 1: Kelly Major Green, that's what she told the Hollywood Reporter uh,
- 32:19Speaker 1: saying it's beautiful, She's beautiful, and she also added the
- 32:22Speaker 1: Queen of Soul is Diva to the end. Aretha passed away,
- 32:25Speaker 1: as you recall, on August sixte at her home in
- 32:28Speaker 1: Detroit due to advance pac creat pancreatic cancer. The viewing
- 32:32Speaker 1: will be open to the public for today as well,
- 32:34Speaker 1: nine am to nine pm. The queen's funeral service will
- 32:38Speaker 1: be this Friday, August thirty one, and we will play
- 32:41Speaker 1: Miss Franklin's music all morning this Friday. Alright. So on
- 32:45Speaker 1: other music news, Steve, social media is upset about this story.
- 32:49Speaker 1: Thriller Michael Jackson's thrillers spawned um countless hits such as
- 32:53Speaker 1: Billy Jean, of course, beat It and the album's titler
- 32:57Speaker 1: title track, Thriller, that has been the best selling album
- 33:00Speaker 1: of US history. But as of Monday, August twenty, however,
- 33:04Speaker 1: the Eagles their Greatest Hits nineteen seventy one to nine
- 33:07Speaker 1: nineteen seventy five, has dethroned the King of pop for
- 33:10Speaker 1: the best selling album of all time. I didn't know that.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Just came up with something that's all that is good
- 33:19Speaker 1: here will ain't sold little fifty some million copies of
- 33:22Speaker 1: no album? Yeah, Mike is going back and he held
- 33:25Speaker 1: the longest. Yeah. Well, and then I don't think it's cool,
- 33:31Speaker 1: like and I like the Eagles absolutely, but you know
- 33:36Speaker 1: what it's like, the greatest hits up against an album? Yeah, exactly,
- 33:40Speaker 1: exactly exactly. Think that's like in the same category. Don't count.
- 33:44Speaker 1: They're saying that over the course of time that it
- 33:46Speaker 1: has moved into the number one slot. Yes, yes, just
- 33:49Speaker 1: exactly on August twentieth, last time. Oh, I don't believe that, Well,
- 33:55Speaker 1: social media or not, I don't. I don't believe that.
- 33:58Speaker 1: How does it hits album which came out years after
- 34:02Speaker 1: all the other album topple? Who I mean, we're tining
- 34:08Speaker 1: round about album no more. We're talking Billy Jeane beat
- 34:11Speaker 1: It thriller. Come on now anyway, Yeah, so yeah, people
- 34:18Speaker 1: are upset about it on social media. Steve, all right,
- 34:20Speaker 1: we're gonna move on. Time to get today's headlines. Please
- 34:23Speaker 1: introduce Miss Anne, ladies and gentlemen, without further ado, the
- 34:27Speaker 1: lovely miss and real Thanks Steve. I like that intro.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Thank you everybody, Good morning, everybody. This is entered for
- 34:36Speaker 1: the news. Okay, It now appears that Hurricane Maria was
- 34:39Speaker 1: responsible for close to three thousand deaths in Puerto Rico
- 34:42Speaker 1: over the six months since the hurricane ravage the island.
- 34:45Speaker 1: That number much much, much higher than initial estimates of
- 34:48Speaker 1: sixty four deaths, now the same close to three thousand.
- 34:51Speaker 1: According to the findings of the study commissioned by Governor Rose.
- 34:54Speaker 1: They now attribute two thousand, nine hundred and seventy five
- 34:58Speaker 1: deaths to the storm. Those most at risk where the elderly, sick,
- 35:01Speaker 1: and poor, and these were there were initial deaths as
- 35:04Speaker 1: do directly to the storm. And then because of the
- 35:06Speaker 1: lack of electricity and stuff like that, people can get
- 35:08Speaker 1: to the hospital things like that. That's why you have
- 35:11Speaker 1: other deaths and the elderly, the sick, and poor were
- 35:13Speaker 1: more at risk and Dallas, white ex police officer has
- 35:16Speaker 1: been found guilty of murder in the death of an
- 35:18Speaker 1: unarmed black teenager named Jordan Davis. Young. Davis was only
- 35:21Speaker 1: fifteen years old, leaving a large house party with his
- 35:24Speaker 1: friends in a car on April of two, two thousand
- 35:27Speaker 1: and seventeen. One officer Oliver fied into the car, but
- 35:30Speaker 1: as it drove away. The then officer Oliver claimed that
- 35:34Speaker 1: he feared for his partner's life when he shot into
- 35:36Speaker 1: the car, but his partner testified he didn't fear for
- 35:38Speaker 1: his life, and in a rare, rare case, the jury
- 35:41Speaker 1: didn't believe his story. It's extremely rare than off duty
- 35:44Speaker 1: police officer is convicted of murdering even an unarmed black person,
- 35:48Speaker 1: but this one has. A federal court has reaffirmed an
- 35:52Speaker 1: early decision ruling that North Carolina has to come up
- 35:55Speaker 1: with new congressional voting maps masked with district lines and
- 35:58Speaker 1: not so obviously contrived to allow for easy elections of
- 36:01Speaker 1: Republicans all over that state. This decision could end up
- 36:04Speaker 1: in this year's election schedule. The latest ruling by three
- 36:07Speaker 1: a judge panel coming after the U. S. Supreme Court
- 36:09Speaker 1: actually sent the matter back to the lower courts for review.
- 36:13Speaker 1: An earlier decisions said the North Carolina's congressional lines were
- 36:15Speaker 1: drawn or jerrymandered with extreme partisanship by the tar Heel states,
- 36:20Speaker 1: a GOP control general Assembly wonder stick drawing to look
- 36:23Speaker 1: like an octopus instead of like a square rectangle or whatever.
- 36:26Speaker 1: A federal judge is giving Paul Manaforts lawyers more time
- 36:30Speaker 1: to prepare for his second time his second trial. Manafor
- 36:32Speaker 1: to former campaign manager for Donald Trump, convicted earlier this
- 36:35Speaker 1: month on eight out of the eighteen financial and tax
- 36:37Speaker 1: for charges against him. According to CNN, President Trump, after
- 36:41Speaker 1: meeting with evangelical pastors on Monday, warned them once the
- 36:45Speaker 1: media left, that if they didn't get their congregants to
- 36:48Speaker 1: vote and the Republicans could lose a lot of seats
- 36:50Speaker 1: in the mid term election, that they could be violence.
- 36:52Speaker 1: He used violence as words, CNN says the presidents on
- 36:55Speaker 1: tape saying these things. The Queen's soul yes being memorialized
- 36:59Speaker 1: this week. With today being the second day of her
- 37:01Speaker 1: lying in repose, her fans can say some more goodbyes.
- 37:04Speaker 1: Aretha rest on a gold cask is surrounded by pink rose.
- 37:07Speaker 1: Is why she's wearing red. Her family says she's an
- 37:09Speaker 1: honorary member of Delta Sigma Sadas Sororiti. And you know
- 37:13Speaker 1: red is Delta's color. And today is National Chop suey Day,
- 37:16Speaker 1: Sweet Chop Sweet living here is very much like a
- 37:21Speaker 1: chep suey Ere's up. Steve Harvey Nation, find out if
- 37:24Speaker 1: Uncle Steve Smart and his nephew Well be back at

- 37:40Speaker 1: this time? Yeah, but this time a little twist is

- 38:27Speaker 1: was known as the King of pop Michael Jackson? Which

- 38:40Speaker 1: Michael Jackson's chimpanzees? Which hand did Michael Jackson wear his
- 38:46Speaker 1: iconic white gloves? What was Michael Jackson's middle name In

- 39:36Speaker 1: really good? Yeah? I mean Michael Jackson fans, right, Yeah, yeah, yeah,

- 46:13Speaker 1: I mean he should every day, five six, seven days
- 46:17Speaker 1: in a row. And you don't ever win it. Take
- 46:20Speaker 1: a tone long it do you know? And that ain't
- 46:26Speaker 1: a confidence building when you're trying. And then then he
- 46:29Speaker 1: swayed down. He said one before you, and it's embarrassing.

- 46:42Speaker 1: I said. I didn't even hear him say nothing. He's
- 46:45Speaker 1: just very competitive. You know, he ran a lot in
- 46:48Speaker 1: in high school and in college and everything, and you know,
- 46:52Speaker 1: he ran tracks, so he's a competitor. He ran in
- 46:56Speaker 1: high school and he ran in track. Then he ran
- 46:59Speaker 1: up against Junior. Yeah but he's older now. Yeah, but
- 47:03Speaker 1: hold up that shop. Let me explain something to you.
- 47:06Speaker 1: I haven't been doing Mama house and everything. Ain't a

- 47:24Speaker 1: you've seen the trophy case. But when we were at
- 47:26Speaker 1: the party, answer your question. When you was at his house,
- 47:30Speaker 1: did you see the trophy case with all the track
- 47:32Speaker 1: awards in it? The party was in a different area
- 47:35Speaker 1: of the house. Oh, you think that he ain't gonna
- 47:39Speaker 1: here you see the trophies? I think they're in his office. Yeah,
- 47:43Speaker 1: yeah there. Yeah, that'd be like you coming in and

- 48:04Speaker 1: tell me now here today? Junior is then yawning in
- 48:06Speaker 1: front of the stand and everything. Answer you see you.

- 50:56Speaker 1: me nothing. I got seventeen years of ain't nobody said
- 51:01Speaker 1: to sign me, not a plays to move. You got
- 51:03Speaker 1: to understand that part down. I got seventeen years up
- 51:06Speaker 1: in here and train the young guy and this guy

- 52:25Speaker 1: what I'm gonna do. I go out there and I

- 52:29Speaker 1: find out who is boss says or whoever the nesty
- 52:32Speaker 1: both to be and kick him because I ain't giving
- 52:34Speaker 1: up nothing. And I'm talking about job y'all with the
- 52:37Speaker 1: wrong one, okay, with the wrong one at this time.
- 52:41Speaker 1: Taking you're talking about beating the Vice president's nephew. You're
- 52:44Speaker 1: you're you're losing control here, Uh, Jason, No, I ain't
- 52:47Speaker 1: losing nothing. I'm gonna think control. I'm a lot And
- 52:50Speaker 1: when I kickh how that sounds? And I'm gonna kick
- 52:52Speaker 1: the boat to see you all of them? How that sounds?
- 52:55Speaker 1: That makes sound clear to you? It makes sense. We're
- 52:58Speaker 1: trying to just give you someplace to be, but rarely
- 53:00Speaker 1: until I find you another slot. Ain't no other. My
- 53:04Speaker 1: slot is my slot. I'm gonna kicking gift rat not
- 53:09Speaker 1: how that sound to you? So all I'm asking is
- 53:13Speaker 1: I need your key card and I need the key
- 53:15Speaker 1: to the office. Get all your things out so I
- 53:17Speaker 1: can get Victor moved in within the next week. Ain't no,
- 53:20Speaker 1: he's okay, all of them. I don't give us. Now
- 53:23Speaker 1: that sounds I don't care nothing about him, Okay, because
- 53:25Speaker 1: I see you made me somebody out here to day. Okay,
- 53:29Speaker 1: I'm tired of it and this ain't gonna happen to me.

- 53:52Speaker 1: no other nephew. I ain't know that wasn't nephew. Let
- 53:54Speaker 1: me tell you who the other one is. Who the

- 55:36Speaker 1: then we'll read him on the air, just like we're
- 55:37Speaker 1: gonna read this one. Alright here it is. This is
- 55:41Speaker 1: tab for the Strawberry Letter with my friends Shirley Strawberry,
- 55:45Speaker 1: Thank you Jr. Alright. Subject seems like he's been waiting
- 55:48Speaker 1: for me to leave. First. Here Stephen Shirley. My husband
- 55:51Speaker 1: and I are now fifty years old. We have five
- 55:54Speaker 1: grown sons and four grandchildren. Ten years ago, my husband
- 55:58Speaker 1: had a fling at work and the female was barely
- 56:01Speaker 1: twenty years old at the time. I was devastated, but
- 56:05Speaker 1: he swore nothing physical happen. The whole situation didn't sit
- 56:09Speaker 1: well with me, so one day last week I checked
- 56:11Speaker 1: my husband's old phone for any proof I could find.
- 56:14Speaker 1: I found messages between my husband and the girl that
- 56:17Speaker 1: he had the flame with, and she was thanking him
- 56:19Speaker 1: for all he was doing for her financially and praising
- 56:23Speaker 1: him for his sexual prowess. I was hurt and relieved
- 56:27Speaker 1: at the same time. All of the heartache came back,
- 56:30Speaker 1: and I felt stupid for believing his lies, but I
- 56:33Speaker 1: was glad that the truth finally came out. Now I
- 56:37Speaker 1: know why he made all of the random bank withdrawals
- 56:40Speaker 1: and had strange purchases on his credit cards. So I
- 56:43Speaker 1: told him that I had all of the proof that
- 56:46Speaker 1: I needed, and I asked him for a divorce. He
- 56:49Speaker 1: did not put up a fight. In fact, he did
- 56:51Speaker 1: not seem concerned at all. I have loved this man
- 56:54Speaker 1: since I was eighteen years old, and just like that,
- 56:58Speaker 1: he was ready to end our marriage. I should add
- 57:01Speaker 1: that we haven't had sex since two thousand and fifteen,
- 57:04Speaker 1: and he always says it's not me, it's him, and
- 57:08Speaker 1: that I'm still as fine as the day he married me.
- 57:11Speaker 1: I'm no fool. Though. If I wasn't enough for him,
- 57:14Speaker 1: why didn't he just let me go? I am feeling
- 57:17Speaker 1: like he only stayed with me all of these years
- 57:19Speaker 1: for the sake of the kids. I am still in
- 57:22Speaker 1: good shape and good health. My black has not cracked,
- 57:26Speaker 1: so I'm sure I could get me somebody else to
- 57:29Speaker 1: Should I fight for my marriage or let it go?
- 57:32Speaker 1: Please advise? Should you fight for your marriage or let
- 57:36Speaker 1: it go? To that? I ask? What marriage? Okay? No
- 57:41Speaker 1: sex for three years? Text messages and payouts to another woman. Uh,
- 57:47Speaker 1: lies upon lies upon lies, and the ultimate slap in
- 57:50Speaker 1: the face. He didn't even put up any kind of
- 57:52Speaker 1: fight to keep you. Uh. That's why I say what marriage.
- 57:56Speaker 1: This was a relationship of convenience and of tolerance. All right. Uh,
- 58:01Speaker 1: this thing that you had, you guys had going on,
- 58:04Speaker 1: this situation has been over for a very long time.
- 58:07Speaker 1: He was just waiting for you to say it first.
- 58:09Speaker 1: Like you said in the subject, seems like he's been
- 58:12Speaker 1: waiting for me to leave first. He's waiting for you
- 58:15Speaker 1: to say it first so he wouldn't be the bad guy.
- 58:18Speaker 1: Now he can tell the kids it was you. You
- 58:20Speaker 1: asked for the divorce. You wanted the divorce. Well you
- 58:25Speaker 1: did say you're glad the truth came out. The truth
- 58:27Speaker 1: is out. I would tell you to fight for your marriage,
- 58:30Speaker 1: but I don't see anything left here, do you really,
- 58:34Speaker 1: Steve m hm, Well, seemed like he'd been waiting on
- 58:40Speaker 1: me to leave first. Okay, let's just take it from
- 58:43Speaker 1: there and let's find out why you're and your husband
- 58:48Speaker 1: fifty five grown sons for grandkids. Ten years ago, see
- 58:53Speaker 1: listen to this. Ten years ago, my husband had a
- 58:59Speaker 1: fling at work, and the female was barely twenty years
- 59:02Speaker 1: old at the time. I was devastated, but he swore
- 59:07Speaker 1: nothing physical happen. The whole situation didn't sit well with me,
- 59:11Speaker 1: so one day last week, last week, I checked my
- 59:16Speaker 1: husband's old phone for any proof that I could find.
- 59:24Speaker 1: Wait a minute, your husband had an affair ten years ago.
- 59:32Speaker 1: Ten years ago, You go back. He told you nothing
- 59:36Speaker 1: physical happened. You go back and find his old phone
- 59:40Speaker 1: last week. You took ten years to go through the phone.
- 59:46Speaker 1: You find it last week, and I found messages between
- 59:51Speaker 1: my husband and the girl that he had a fleeing with.
- 59:56Speaker 1: This female was barely twenty years old, but it was
- 59:58Speaker 1: ten years ago, so he would farty. She was twenty,
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: thanking him for all he was doing for her financially,
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: praising him for his sexual problems. I was hurt and
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: relieved at the same time. All the headache came heartache
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: came back. You opened up this casket with a ten
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: year old body in it. You didn't think it was
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: gonna stay like that again. You opened up a casket
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: with a twenty ten year old body in it, and
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: you didn't think it was gonna stink? What okay? Lady,
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: what all the heartache came back? And I felt stupid
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: for believing his lies. Jesus, what he could if he
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: had told you the truth back then. Guess what when
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: we had right now was where we would have been
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: ten years ago. He was trying to salvage it then,
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: but I was glad that the truth finally came out.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: You're crazy now I know why he made all in
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: random bank draws and had strange purchase on his credit card.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: So I told him I had all the proof I needed,
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: and I asked him for desroard. He didn't put up
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: a fight. In fact, he ain't seen concerned at all.
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: He would probably relieve. I mean, really, don't you go
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: back and get an old phone that's ten years old?
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: And now you're leaving him for that? Lady, I think
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: you should go. I think you should go. No hold
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: of I'm getting there. I love this man since I
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: was eighteen, and just like that he was ready to
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: end our marriage. I should add that we haven't had
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: sex since two thousand fifteen. No, no, no, you ain't
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: had that's what you ain't what you take? We you
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: can circle we eat. We ain't had sex since two
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: that you can flip that up. Me meet me. You
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: me ain't had six and I promise you his ass
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: three years, three years without sex for what why? I
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: got some more for you when we come back. All right,
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: we'll have part two. We're gonna dress this part right here.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: I'm still as fine as the day as he married me.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: We'll have more after with part two of Steve's response
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: to the h letter today. The subject sometimes seems like
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: he's been waiting for me to leave. First afters when
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: we'll be back right after this. You're listening to Steve
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, come on, let's recap
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: today's Strawberry letters. Subjects seems like he's been waiting for
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: me to leave. First, couple of fifty years old, five grooms,
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: so its for kids. Ten years ago to man and
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: the fair with a lady at work. He said nothing
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: physical happened. He just covering his tracks. She was devastated,
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: you know, but he swore nothing physical happen. The whole
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: situation didn't sit well. So one day last week, one
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: day last week, she opened up a casket, a ten
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: year old casket with a body that's been in there
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: for ten years. She found his old phone and went
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: back ten years and found some messages that he had
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: said found out they had been making love and that
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: he was paying husself. Now you devastated, you want a divorce?
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: You're going there, you asked him. Man, you tell him
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: you got all the proof you need you want a divorce.
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: He didn't put up a fight. In fact, he ain't
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: seen concerned at all, like I said, probably relieved. Man,
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: I left that phone in that drawer. Took you ten
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: years to fund them, because who ain't through that phone
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: away that type of information? Dog? Who ain't through that
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: phone away? He left that phone there, I hope waiting
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: on you. It took you ten damn years. So when
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: you come here with all the proof, he say, man,
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: ignorant ten years fun. I don't left the drow lefting on.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: I've been recharging, been calling it, making it harm, shooting nothing.
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: I've loved this man since I was eighteen years old.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: And just like that, he was ready to end our match.
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: You're the one said you wanted that divorce. Then when
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: he said cool, now you're looking crazy, I should add
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: that we haven't had sex since twot Please stop saying
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: we please that that this is the last. We haven't
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: had sex, dady, you ain't had no sexist fifty, but
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: he even filling up the trash can. I'm telling you
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: this right now. This boy been out here buck straight wild,
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: ain't no man, wait no, three years for what anyway?
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: Then she says it's not Then he always says it's
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: not me, it's him, and that I'm still as fine
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: as the day he married me. Now that's what you said.
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: Let's let's say this again. You fifty, y'all got five
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: grown sons. Y'all been together since you was eighteen. Y'all fifty,
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: you still find as the day he manages, Hey, it
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: could happen. Steve, who you know Sigar named the human
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: name human beings that you know. I'm just in the name. Huh,
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: she may still, I ain't gonna problem. I just need
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: a name or who you know that from graduation to
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: fifty dance as better than they was for I just
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: need a name better as still as fine as who.
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: I just need a name, give him something. Step Cell
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: just came out. Who you know? I just need a
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: name of anybody you know that's as fine at fifty
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: as they was back then. Anybody give me a dude,
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: anybody is beautiful, give me an injuries, give me anybody,
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: den Zel, anybody that's just as who this zail ain't
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: fine as he was, But then asked Denzel, Yeah, I'll
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: tell you man, you boy back in the day. Whoa yeah, yeah,
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: well well you said interest that was good interest ain't
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: fine as he was back there. But some people, well
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: I'm aging. Look, I'm aging. Well, I ain't what I
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: wore without eighteen skin was smooth, man, could run like
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: a deal. Yeah, so you slowed down a bit, a
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: bit from graduation to fifty. Who looked the same dog
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: I left When I left high school, I was six one,
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: I weight one forty seven. I just kept on the
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: scale all the day. The baby, damn, this star crying
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: just turned forward. Without seventeen ain't even close because you
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: had all your curls and everything, and it just named
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: the name. So this is a lie. That's what you
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: want to That's the day you were when he married you.
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: I'm no fool, though. If I wasn't enough for him,
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: why didn't he just let me go? He did? Ye
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: see when you asked for the divorce, and a man
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: don't fight you on it. He had been let go.
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: It's just you just not asked. It's been over, and
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: now I'm feeling like he only stayed with me all
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: these years for the sake of the kids. Okay, good,
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: then we ain't even got to say that. That's a
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: good one. Let's go with that one. Yeah, I stayed
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: with all my wife for the kids. Wow, did you
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: really have to say that had at least you know
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: it started for the key every thought that comes to him.
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: You don't have to tell everything. Well, I tried to
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: curb that one, but we're in the middle of the
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: Strawberry letter. Okay, then let me edit myself. Let me
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: put it to you this one. I stayed married and
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: not great situations because I was just trying to be
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: more than obviously I had. Okay, all right, we can
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: go with that one. Then she goes on to say
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: that I'm still in good shape. That's not the same
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: as saying you as finding just a couple of lines
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: up and you already fell off in one sentence. I'm
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: still in good shape, you know what that means, and
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: good health. My black has not cracked, so I could
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: show if I could get somebody else too. What are
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: we about to find that. Al Right, guys, alright, Steve,

- 1:11:57Speaker 1: and I met my trailer. Yeah, this year. He invited
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: me right to rock my world. And I didn't come
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: on the air and tell anybody because I considered that,
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: you know, just a private thing between us. You know,
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: I didn't go and go, man, how's it Michael Jackson trailer?
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: You know, the brother invited me to his trailer. I

- 1:12:20Speaker 1: like little rich kids and they had managed They were
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: real nice. Man. I was playing ball with the little boy.
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: He didn't want to stop. He just kept throwing me
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: the ball. After while, I just got into it. I said,
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: I ain't a little pressure you go. I'm gonna throw
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: your hot one catch. Oh God, bless you. You're just
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: a great talent. You're really incredible. You're very funny. Time,
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: very funny. You have me screaming when I wanted time. Dude,
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: This dude was funny. Man. We was having a good
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: time in the trailer. Man. Just just one of the
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: really really nice people in this business. Man. And I
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: got something else for you too, Mike. I talked to
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: your personal assistant. I got a new t V D
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: out I'm sending you that you had at today play
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: off playoffs and you, Mike, Mike Jackson on. I don't
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: even know what to ask me. Hey, Mike, I got
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: one for you, heyn. Let me ask you this question.
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: When you were performing that on on your thirtieth anniversary special,
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: did you have an emotional moment when you and your
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: brothers was on stage? Because it was this moment on
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: during the performance where you kneel down and you stayed
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: there and your brothers were looking at you like, Okay, Mike,
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: come on, was that real? Don't It's always real? And
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: I take that moment and I I pray not to cry,
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: and I usually do, you know, because everything goes back
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: to me from you know, conception, you know who tell
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: us when we were little babies, and shildren and out
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: to see you know, all of these of you know,
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: all the adulation and notoriety, and it's just it's just
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: a work from God and it all goes through me
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: real fast. It's a blessing. And I just I did
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: break down and I cried at that moment, but I
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: turned out the short to the audience, but I can't
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: open you know. Yeah, well I saw it, man, I
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: thought that was real. You know. I think man, that
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: that people when they see these things in your brother,
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: I think that that allows them to see a glimpse
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: of the real Michael Jackson that oftentimes only your closest
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: friends get to see. First of all, Michael, let me
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: introduce you to my co host on the show, Shirley Strawberry.
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: Good morning, Hi Michael, how are you? And I love
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: your album I really really album. Oh yeah, the new album.
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: We really love it. Seriously, I'm telling you. On this
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: station right here, I played Butterflies at least twice a
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: morning and in four hours. That ain't right on the radio. Hey, Mike,
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: where did you get Butterflies from? Well, butterflies um with
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: these two girls named Floortry, and they came with the song,
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: and uh, we're kind of work together. Uh, it's mainly
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: these other two girls who mainly composed that one. They're
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: pretty girls, they're black British girls, and they were just phenomenal,
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: and uh, I thought it was just, you know, something
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: that I really really liked. Uh. We did some kind
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: of counter you know, hooks and lines and painted it
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: with different sounds and everything, different colors, and so we
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: produced it and I produced it and just created something
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: that was just acceptable and uh and and it ended
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: up going on the album There's I'll do at least
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: a little hundred songs until I about you that I like,
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: I safer it down, cypher it down. You know, a
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: hundred songs, Doug, before you come up with you like, yeah,
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: it was more at this time, actually a hundred. Well
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: you have Michael Jackson bade hey, man, Mike, I know
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: you ate this type of bro, but I am so.
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: I'm just gonna put it out there really like that.
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: Ever since you came back. I told us she and
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: Sisko to put their shirt back on shirt black home.
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: You can take that glove off your hel is back.
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: You're true fans, Michael. I'll steal out there in the streets. Man.
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: And I can't even tell you so what you've been
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: to people, Mike for all these years. Man, I mean, brother,
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: I don't know if anybody has ever said thank you
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: to you for the way you put it down, for
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: all of the music you gave us. That's steal in
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: our hearts, man. And I don't know if nobody ever
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: said thank you to you, man, bless you. That's so beautiful.
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: It's um. I appreciate it. It's not easy being in
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: my position because to create so much sensationalism and tabloid
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: people lying, creates and stories and none of it's true,
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: you know, And it's very very difficult. You know, it's easy.
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: It's very hard, all right, You see why I was excited, right, Yeah.
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: Every every time I hear it, it's new to me
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: and I get chills. So when we come back at
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: the top of the hour, part two of Steve's interview
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: with the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, you're listening to show.
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: We continue now with part two of Steve's exclusive interview
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: with Michael Jackson. Rest in peace, Michael jack You and
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: you end up you heard sometime, you know, and because
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: you try to be as resilient as possible. But it's very,
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: very difficult because there's tabloids who lie. They hate that,
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: they're jealous. Just so when you read this and know
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: that it's it's a lie, don't believe it. Burn it.
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: We should have a tabloid burnie. You could have a
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: tabloid burning. Yeah, take a mountain out of them and
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: destroyed because they just hate to see us grow and
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: build and build. And there's nothing wrong with that. They can.
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: But it's okay, you know. But but what can I do?
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: You know, bring forth the talent wanted God gave me.
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: That's all I wanted to do, to share the love
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: and gift of entertainment. That's all I want to do.
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: I want to hurt anybody that's really a man. You
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: know what, Man, I talked with your mom off the
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: air before. Oh, Man, your mother is and I gave
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: her propers to I told miss Jackson, I said, a
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: phenomenal job you've done in raising as many talented children
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: that you have and still maintained them as a family.
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: And she was thanking me because I had came forward
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: on your behalf on more than one occasion, uh, concerning
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: several issues man, that were just totally false about you.
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: And I prompted everybody to go out and get a
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: copy of the g Q article from and uh, g
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: Q had a lot of back issues reordered because it
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: is and a lot of people read the article and
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: found out the real truth behind a lot of things
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: that were so false man. And um, and your mom
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: was thanking me for saying that on the radio, Man,
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: and I just wanted to say, man, that they are.
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: There are a lot of people out here, man that
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: really feel you, player, that really wish that they could
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: just feel you some more. And a phone call like this, Mike,
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: I gotta tell you, Player, you go a long way.
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: Thank you so much. Right. I don't do it mosten
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: at all. I never do it. I never ever, Mike never, Yeah,
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: thank you, wow are you? I'm happy to do it
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: for you, and it's from the bottom of my heart.
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: You've so kind and wonderful to me. Somebody people used
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: to tell me different places, there's this guy who talks
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: about you every day, and I go, who is it?
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: His name is Steve. I go Steve. And then I
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: saw the Kings of Comedy show. I had just the guy.
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: I said, Oh my god, I said, I'm saying of
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: him now. Yeah, you know to everybody's just tuning in.
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: We're interviewing live on the radio. Michael Jackson. I mean,
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: this is actually like the bomb. This is the bomb interview.
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: This just tops it from me. You know, Mike, I've
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: had President Clinton called me from Air Force one before
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: and it did not have this impact. You believe me,
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: because you know Clinton cool and everything. I really like, Yeah,
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: he Michael Low, he ain't got he wasn't Billy Jean
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: and beating babyc looking through the window. I'll be there.

- 1:20:21Speaker 1: asking Himpchen just wing. No message could have been if
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: you want to make a change, change m saying Mike,
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: Holly lad, I got it. I got the King of
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: Pop on the floor. Hey, Mike, that's The one thing, man,
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: that I want to get across to people that the
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: brother on the phone has been a real brother the
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: whole time. It regardless as to what you hear in
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: the media, what you read about the tabloids, that garbage.
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: They print stuff about everybody, false all the time. I mean,
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: just this cat right here is one of the one
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: of the nicest people in this business and been that
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: way a long time. And it's not harm to hell
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: on anybody's head. But people have gone after him for
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: for monetary games, just to get money. Man, if if you,
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: if you read the g Q article in get a
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: copy of it, send off and read with the couple
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: with Michael Jackson on the cover, it will tell you
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: this whole story and exactly what happened. And I mean, man,
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: it was very revealing and I was stunned, But then
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: not really because I know how people are, because I
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: only get a taste of it, and I ain't even
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: I ain't even Michael Jackson. Plus Mike, I'm dangerous. When
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: you come at me, I I cust spit. I do
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: all can get over. I got I got friends in
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: low places, and Mike, if you lead a couple of them,
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: friends roll out there and handle some business for you,
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: like now a real Mike, you know, the tabloid just
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: really on your nerves. We canna get the tabloid building

- 1:22:10Speaker 1: some boys that can get over there. Dog, I'm talking
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: about from low places. Yeah, they're disgusting. In there are
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: those who disguise themselves as legitimate, and they're just as terrible.
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: They're worse. Yeah, I've read a couple of them News Faith. Yeah,

- 1:22:40Speaker 1: to tell nobody down to poke fun. I got million jokes.
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: I can do about anything else, but I never get
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: off into people's personal lives. But you, brother, you have
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: meant a lot to people. Man, Thank you so much,
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: And I want to say something to you special, to man,
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: because a lot of people don't get us with you.
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: But I gotta tell you something. You'd meant something to
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: black people, man, and don't think you don't, and you
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: have it. You have really really meant something to a
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: lot of minorities across this country. I'm proud of my hair.
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: Come on, players, say it. I'm proud of it. I'm
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: proud to be black. I'm honored to be black. And
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: I just hope that one day that they would be
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: fair and uh portraying me the way I really really am.
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: Just a loving, peaceful guy wanting to make wonderful, unprecedented
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: to entertainment and songs and music and film for the world,
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: you know. And that's all I want to do, no thrill.

- 1:24:35Speaker 1: Andrew Gillim has won the Democratic Florida primary for governor.
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: Uh down there, and that's really good news. It shows
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: the power of the vote. Okay, it showed he won
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: an upset, so a major upset. Yeah. And he was
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: a mayor of Tallahassee. Y. Yeah, and he and it's
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: hotly contested and uh just just got one man, we
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: got We gotta get out and vote. He's UM. He's
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: the one that's talking about repealing the open carry the
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: Standard Ground Act in Florida. So that's good news as well.
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: So everyone in Florida who's listening, I hope you're registered
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: to vote. If you're not pleased, get out and registered
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: to vote. These mid terms are very very important. We
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: have to vote in these because man, y'all, y'all in Florida,
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: y'all really need some new leadership down there. Man, we
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: gotta get rid of this stand your ground law because
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: everybody using it. Yeah, and it's crazy, it's ridiculous. Just
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: recently Jacksonville, the match that happened at the Gaming tournament
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: this past weekend. The gun laws need to change in Florida,
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: all over the country, but it just seems like here
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: we go again in Florida. So you're right, Steve. Folks
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: need to get out, registered to vote, and show up
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: November six. And remember the name Andrew Gillim. He just
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: won the Florida Democratic primary for governor. He can make
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: it on in there if we get out and vote.
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: He's only thirty nine, beautiful wife. Yes, congratulations, that's good
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: Tallahassee fail baby HBCU. Yeah. Yes. And you know, if
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: you've moved, you know a lot of things. If you've
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: moved from state to state or what have you changed addresses? Uh,
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: please remember that you have to still get out and
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: register to vote, re register so you can vote in
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: your voting play in your polling place, in your neighborhood.
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: So um, yeah, if you've recently moved, to make sure
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: you know you take care of that as well. It's
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: very important to register and then again most importantly, vote
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: because your vote matters. Absolutely, it does, it really does. Yeah.
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: It makes you see who in the White House. Now,
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: don't you that? Don't I mean, if you don't crawl
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: to that, don't motivate you. Yeah, man, we went from
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: President Obama to this. Yeah, that's crazy. Man. Now, Hillary
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: Clinton blew the election. I just thought that campaign strategy
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: was ridiculous. She didn't even go to Michigan up there.
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: She assumed it was blue. She had it must yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: she took a lot for granted in that one. Yeah.
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: And and you know, we want to get this out too, Steve.
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: If you're unsure of where to go to register to vote,
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: former First Lady Michelle Obama she has a voting initiative
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: and the site is when we All Vote dot org.
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: You can also register to vote. Yeah, so you can
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: do that on computer now. Yeah. Yeah, it's so easy.
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: It makes a difference. Come on, it made a difference.
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: We got President Obama. And it makes it if you
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: all just get your niece of a baby over there
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: and show you how to do it. Yeah. And a
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: lot of a lot of times, you know, people in
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: the neighborhood. You know, they will have vans to pick
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: up the elderly, you know, yeah, for transportation and things
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: like that to the pole to the polling places. So
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: there are a lot of different ways. It's it's no
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: excuse just to sit back. You know, you can do
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: absentee voting. There's so many ways to cast. And he
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: that rideshare companies are gonna be giving people lifts to
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: the polls as well, So alright, no excuses, no excuses
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: this time. The term is very important. Alright, coming up
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this.
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. This would
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: have been the King of pops sixtieth birthday. See yesterday,
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: thousands from all over the country lined up for public
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: viewing of the Queen of Soul, Miss Franklin's body. Yeah,
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: Miss Franklin's body will lie in repost at the Charles H.
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: Rice Right Museum for African American History. That's a three
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: fifteen East Warren Avenue in Detroit. Her body rests and
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: a fourteen carried gold plated Promethean casket which has a
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: Champagne velvet interior. Alright, it also has Queen of Soul
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: and Aretha Franklin embroidered in the casket lining. As for
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: her day one viewing outfit, Aretha was dressed in head
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: to toe red, including a ruby red dress, custom red earrings,
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: bright red nails and lipstick, and of course five inch
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: red pumps. Alright, queen, come on, queen, did you say
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: day one? I said day one viewing? Okay, yes, that
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: was yesterday, because they will have another viewing today, adding
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: the Queen of Soul is Diva to the end. Okay, Um.
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: What we wanted to do is to be reflective of
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: the queen. That's according to the museum board member Kelly
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: Major Uh. Kelly Major Green, that's what she told the
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: Hollywood Reporter uh, saying it's beautiful. She's beautiful, and she
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: also added the Queen of Soul is Diva to the end.
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: Aretha passed away, as you recall, in August six at
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: her home in Troy due to advance pac crea pancreatic cancer.
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: The viewing will be open to the public for today
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: as well, nine am to nine pm. The queen's funeral
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: service will be this Friday, August thirty one, and we
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: will play Miss Franklin's music All Morning this Friday. Alright,
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: so on other music news Steve. Social media is upset
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: about this story. Thriller. Michael Jackson's Thrillers spawned um countless
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: hits such as Billy Jean, of course, beat It and
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: the album's titler title track, Thriller That has been the
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: best selling album of US history. But as of Monday,
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: August twenty, however, the Eagles their Greatest Hits nineteen seventy
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: one to ninety nineteen seventy five, has dethroned the King
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: of pop for the best selling album of all time.
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: What I didn't know that? That's how all that is
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: good here? Will ain't so little? Fifty some million copies
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: of no album. Yeah, Mike is going back and he
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: held the longest. Yeah. Well, and then I don't think
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: it's cool, like and I like the Eagles absolutely, but
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: you know what it's like, the greatest hits up against
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: an album? Yeah, exactly, exactly exactly. Think that's like in
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: the same category. Don't count. They're saying that over the
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: course of time that it has moved into the number
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: one spot. Yes, yes, just exactly on August. Oh, I
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: don't believe that well social media, I don't. I don't
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: believe that. How does it hits album which came out
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: years after all the other album Top Who Bad album
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: No More? We're talking Billy Jean, Beat It Thriller, Come
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: on now anyway, So yeah, people are upset about it
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: on social media. Steve, Alright, coming up, we'll close out
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: the show with our last break of the day and
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: Steve's closing remarks will be back at forty nine after
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: the hour. You're listening. Alright, Steve, here, we are back
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: the last break of the day, and you're gonna leave
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: us with some closing remarks. Yeah, you know, I want
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: to share something with you that I are came across
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: when I was meditating this summer and a friend of mine,
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: Bishop gettys down in the Carolina's who I met on
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: my talk show one time and we formed a relationship.
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: Very very helpful. Bishop gettys um he sends me inspiration
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: all the time. He just, I mean, just a good
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: dude man, just care about me. He always sends me
- 1:32:39Speaker 1: something timely. And one of the things he sent me
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: I was thinking about on the when I was meditating
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: this summer, and it's something that I'm guilty of even myself.
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: And I was explaining it to a couple of people
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: that work around here, and they would come on, you
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: say that you feel that way. Yeah, man, it's all
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: really to you know, it doesn't matter how you think
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: my life is the fact that I might be still
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: short in myself is a very very real reality. And
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: there is a possibility moving forward that you could also
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: be short in your life for what it could truly be.
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: Have you ever thought about that you could be making
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: one mistake that's that's cutting you off from the life
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: that you could really have. You're actually sought short circuit
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: in your blessings because of a very simple thing that
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: we do. And I'm guilty of this myself. And I
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: had to catch myself this summer, and one of the
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: things I came away with I said, Man, I got
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: to dream bigger. I have got to dream bigger because
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: I've exposed myself with people who have so much more.
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: Now do you need so much more? No? What God said,
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: he would give you the desires of your heart. He'll
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: even put some stuff on your heart to desire. You
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: ain't even know what's really there, but he wants you
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: to see that too. So look, I'm out of the
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: need business. I just need him. He's all I need.
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: Of course, I need love and people that care about
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: me and friendship. I'm not saying I don't need nothing,
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: but as far as material stuff, I don't need anything.
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: It's just stuff I want. But it's nothing wrong with
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: wanting more as long as you're grateful for where you at.
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: But here's what happens, And it happens to me, and
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: it may be happening to you, And I don't want
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: you to short circuit your blessings. I don't want you
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: to knock yourself out of something that you could have.
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: Listen to me, don't downgrade your dream just to fit
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: your reality. I'm gonna repeat that, but I got some more.
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: Don't downgrade your dream just to fit your reality. Upgrade
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: your conviction to match your destiny. One more time, y'all
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: listen to this. This is so good, man. Don't downgrade
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: your dream just to fit your reality. Upgrade your conviction
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: to match your destiny. Oh man, this is so good.
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: Do you know how many times we reshape what we
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: want based on where we're at right now? Do you
