Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome.
- 0:01Speaker 2: It is the Ben Ferguson Show. It is so nice
- 0:03Speaker 2: to have you with us. All right, So you may
- 0:06Speaker 2: have seen the clips that went viral with Mi co Senter,
- 0:10Speaker 2: Ted Cruz and Tucker Carlson and Center Cruse and I
- 0:15Speaker 2: decided we were going to break down that entire interview
- 0:17Speaker 2: because if you saw the clips and went to literally
- 0:19Speaker 2: hundreds of millions of views, you may not have heard
- 0:21Speaker 2: actually what was said in that two hour interview. And
- 0:24Speaker 2: I want to give you those highlights now. Before I
- 0:27Speaker 2: get to that, I also want to tell you about
- 0:30Speaker 2: what is going on with Donald Trump and Iran in
- 0:34Speaker 2: Israel and the latest what we now know is that
- 0:38Speaker 2: the President is now saying that he could give an
- 0:42Speaker 2: essence up to two weeks to make a decision if
- 0:46Speaker 2: he is going to bomb a RAN's main nuclear site,
- 0:48Speaker 2: which is deep underground in that mountain side. There is
- 0:52Speaker 2: a couple reasons why this could be happening. I want
- 0:55Speaker 2: you to understand it. Number One, there are a lot
- 0:58Speaker 2: of ships that are needing to go through the stratif moves,
- 1:01Speaker 2: which Iran could try to in essence, cut off twenty
- 1:05Speaker 2: five percent of all the oil in the world goes
- 1:08Speaker 2: through there every day and twenty percent of natural gas
- 1:10Speaker 2: goes through there, So there is some logistical training, you know,
- 1:15Speaker 2: issues there that they need to get done, and giving
- 1:18Speaker 2: more time to do that could be huge from an
- 1:22Speaker 2: energy perspective.
- 1:23Speaker 1: That's one issue.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Number two, There's there's no doubt that Iran will retaliate
- 1:28Speaker 2: if America is the one that bombs and blows up
- 1:32Speaker 2: that nuclear site. So there's there's targets we want to
- 1:35Speaker 2: protect and harden. We also have assets that are going
- 1:39Speaker 2: in to the Middle East. Our carriers and striker groups
- 1:41Speaker 2: are going. We want to give them time to make
- 1:43Speaker 2: sure they're there to respond if i randicides to take
- 1:46Speaker 2: an attack, whether it's using drones or other things against
- 1:49Speaker 2: American interest American.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Troops in the Middle East.
- 1:52Speaker 2: There's then the third part of the reason why the
- 1:55Speaker 2: President may be given this two weeks, and that is
- 1:57Speaker 2: because you have a bunch of countries in Europe. They're
- 2:00Speaker 2: going to be meeting today and they're going to be
- 2:03Speaker 2: meeting with leadership from Iran. Maybe something good can come
- 2:07Speaker 2: out of that. They'll have time to report back to
- 2:09Speaker 2: the White House. Maybe we can get disarmament and avoid
- 2:13Speaker 2: this entire you know throwdown. But what Donald Trump has
- 2:16Speaker 2: said is I'm going to decide on the Ranian strikes
- 2:18Speaker 2: within the next two weeks. So within the next two
- 2:22Speaker 2: weeks means it could be tomorrow, could be later today,
- 2:25Speaker 2: it could be three days from now, five days from now,
- 2:28Speaker 2: thirteen days from now. You get my point. But there's
- 2:30Speaker 2: a lot of logistical things that could be happening.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Now.
- 2:32Speaker 2: The final point on this I want to be clear
- 2:34Speaker 2: about also before we get into this tug Carlson and
- 2:37Speaker 2: Ted Cruz. Thing that I want you to hear is
- 2:40Speaker 2: some of this could also be Israel saying, hey, we've
- 2:42Speaker 2: got more attacks that we want and more targets that
- 2:45Speaker 2: we want to go after in Iran before you guys
- 2:49Speaker 2: basically put the the you know, the the cherry on
- 2:52Speaker 2: top of the Sunday so we're not finished with our
- 2:55Speaker 2: work and we don't want you to hit this thing,
- 2:57Speaker 2: and then I'll still be bombing, and then there's some
- 2:59Speaker 2: confused usion. There are people they're demanding that we stop.
- 3:03Speaker 2: So there's multiple different aspects of why there's a real
- 3:07Speaker 2: good chance that the President said, all right, I'm going
- 3:10Speaker 2: to have this two week you know, decide within the
- 3:12Speaker 2: next two weeks, and Iran is saying, look, third party
- 3:17Speaker 2: intervention would spark immediate reaction. That's their words. They're not
- 3:20Speaker 2: backing down, they're hardlining. But they are meeting with these
- 3:23Speaker 2: European nations today, so we'll see what comes out of that.
- 3:26Speaker 2: So I want to give you that update for you.
- 3:28Speaker 2: First off, Now, if you saw Tucker Carlson lose his
- 3:32Speaker 2: mind against Ted Cruz, it was a very odd and
- 3:35Speaker 2: weird interview. There's a lot of people asking the question,
- 3:38Speaker 2: why is like our own team fighting against each other
- 3:41Speaker 2: right now? What was the reasoning behind Tuger Carlson doing this.
- 3:46Speaker 2: I think it's pretty clear Tucker Carlson was taking a
- 3:48Speaker 2: lot of heat for publicly attacking Donald Trump, and Donald
- 3:53Speaker 2: Trump slap backed really hard at Tucker Carlson. I think
- 3:57Speaker 2: he needed a distraction and he thought, oh, I'll have
- 4:00Speaker 2: Ted Cruz on, I'll get a war going with Ted Cruz.
- 4:03Speaker 2: That'll get the focus off Donald Trump coming after me
- 4:05Speaker 2: after I went after Donald Trump. Now, since then, we
- 4:08Speaker 2: know that tug Carlson has actually called the President and
- 4:11Speaker 2: apologized to the President. It doesn't mean, though, that this
- 4:14Speaker 2: whole interview didn't actually happen. So I want you to
- 4:16Speaker 2: hear this take a listen. But let's just start with
- 4:19Speaker 2: the basic question that I think so many people have
- 4:22Speaker 2: been asking me when they saw the sibbits of this interview,
- 4:25Speaker 2: and I would actually encourage people to watch the entire interview,
- 4:28Speaker 2: not just the little things that popped on social media,
- 4:31Speaker 2: but number one like why did you decide to do
- 4:34Speaker 2: this interview with him?
- 4:36Speaker 1: And did do you think it was going to be
- 4:38Speaker 1: like this?
- 4:40Speaker 3: Well, let me start with the second part.
- 4:41Speaker 1: First.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Yes, I knew exactly what it was going to be.
- 4:45Speaker 3: I knew that Tucker when he asked for the interview,
- 4:47Speaker 3: I know that he was doing it to come after me.
- 4:50Speaker 3: I knew he was going to come in and just
- 4:52Speaker 3: be swinging as hard as he could.
- 4:53Speaker 4: And I went in.
- 4:55Speaker 3: I wasn't looking to pick a fight, and in fact,
- 4:57Speaker 3: we started the interview with my pointing out. I said, Tucker, listen,
- 5:02Speaker 3: you and I we agree on about eighty percent of issues.
- 5:05Speaker 3: We agree across the board. And I said, Tucker, you
- 5:08Speaker 3: have been fantastic on a ton of issues. You've been
- 5:11Speaker 3: fantastic on securing the border. That is a deep passion
- 5:14Speaker 3: of mine. We have got to secure the border. And
- 5:17Speaker 3: when Joe Biden the Democrats had opened borders. You were
- 5:19Speaker 3: ferocious in fighting for that which I have been fighting
- 5:23Speaker 3: alongside that with all my might. I will say during COVID,
- 5:27Speaker 3: during the COVID lockdowns, Tucker was phenomenal. In fact, to
- 5:31Speaker 3: the middle of the COVID lockdowns. I called Tucker back
- 5:34Speaker 3: when he had a show on Fox, and I told him,
- 5:36Speaker 3: I said, Tucker, your evening monologues are the single best
- 5:40Speaker 3: thing on television. I listen to them. I consume them
- 5:44Speaker 3: like crack every night because they are so good. Because
- 5:47Speaker 3: he was speaking out, he was speaking out powerfully against
- 5:49Speaker 3: the insanity of shutting down our country, against the insanity
- 5:53Speaker 3: of shutting down small businesses, against the insanity of shutting
- 5:55Speaker 3: down churches, against the insanity of shutting down schools. And
- 5:59Speaker 3: over ten million kids did not go to in person
- 6:02Speaker 3: school for.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Over a year.
- 6:03Speaker 3: And by the way, the data all show the learning
- 6:06Speaker 3: loss to kids from that idiotic social experiment is going
- 6:10Speaker 3: to be with them their entire life. I think ten, twenty, thirty,
- 6:13Speaker 3: forty years from now, we're going to look back and say,
- 6:16Speaker 3: what idiocy prompted this country to shut down schools and
- 6:20Speaker 3: hurt so many kids. So on all of those issues
- 6:22Speaker 3: on free speech on the Second Amendment. Tucker's been fantastic,
- 6:26Speaker 3: and we aren't exactly the same page on all of
- 6:29Speaker 3: those issues. Now, I did acknowledge there are issues on
- 6:32Speaker 3: which we disagree. I knew that Tucker wanted the interview
- 6:37Speaker 3: because he wanted to come after me, and I knew
- 6:40Speaker 3: that it was going to be particularly spicy, a lot
- 6:43Speaker 3: of fireworks, because Tucker in the last week has gotten
- 6:47Speaker 3: really crosswise with President Trump. Tucker has blasted the President
- 6:52Speaker 3: and said that the President was complicit in Israel's war.
- 6:55Speaker 3: He said that the President's actions were not consistent with
- 6:59Speaker 3: America first. And so I knew that Tucker was going
- 7:03Speaker 3: to be hot and that I was going to be
- 7:05Speaker 3: the target to take his I r out. But I
- 7:07Speaker 3: did the interview because listen, although Tucker is right on
- 7:11Speaker 3: a whole lot of issues on foreign policy, I think
- 7:14Speaker 3: he's gone really off the rails. He has gotten to
- 7:18Speaker 3: a place of hardcore isolationism that I think is really dangerous.
- 7:22Speaker 3: It's not good for America. I disagree with it. He
- 7:25Speaker 3: does not want America to support Israel, he does not
- 7:29Speaker 3: want America to do anything to stop Iran from getting
- 7:31Speaker 3: a nuclear weapon, and he is vocally and vigorously disagreeing
- 7:36Speaker 3: with President Trump. And I thought it was important for
- 7:39Speaker 3: me to do this interview to explain what President Trump
- 7:42Speaker 3: is doing and to defend the president, to stand with
- 7:44Speaker 3: President Trump. And I got to tell you, the entire
- 7:48Speaker 3: theme of my interview was very simple. Donald Trump is right,
- 7:53Speaker 3: and Tucker on Iran and Israel, you're wrong. And that
- 7:57Speaker 3: was the whole point of the interview that came across
- 8:00Speaker 3: at great length. Now, we did the interview and on Tuesday,
- 8:06Speaker 3: and then Tucker released it on Wednesday. But before Wednesday,
- 8:09Speaker 3: he released a little stippet and in two hours. Look,
- 8:11Speaker 3: I'm going to give Tucker some credit, he had a
- 8:13Speaker 3: little gotcha moment. So two hours of back and forth
- 8:15Speaker 3: and back and forth and back and forth, and he
- 8:17Speaker 3: decided to play a little gotcha moment. So so in
- 8:20Speaker 3: the course of talking about Iran, he asks me, he says, well,
- 8:24Speaker 3: what's the population of Iran? And I thought about it
- 8:27Speaker 3: for a second and realized I didn't actually know the
- 8:30Speaker 3: exact population of Iran, and so I just said I
- 8:32Speaker 3: don't know, and he did the sort of classic Tucker.
- 8:36Speaker 1: What how can you not know that?
- 8:39Speaker 3: And I mean, he was, you know, vibrating and looking
- 8:43Speaker 3: as if I had, you know, admitted to I don't know,
- 8:47Speaker 3: committing treason or something. And I just said, look, I
- 8:50Speaker 3: don't I don't memorize population tables and and and he
- 8:54Speaker 3: comes in with with great, great joy and says and
- 8:58Speaker 3: I asked him, I said, what's the population of a
- 8:59Speaker 3: r He says ninety two million. Actually, according to the
- 9:03Speaker 3: Google searches afterwards, it's eighty nine million, So he was
- 9:05Speaker 3: off three million, which I think is funny because I
- 9:07Speaker 3: assume he Google searched it right before the interview so
- 9:09Speaker 3: he could do his little gotcha. And I'll confess this
- 9:13Speaker 3: may not be terribly credible, but the truth of the
- 9:15Speaker 3: matter is in my head what I was going to say,
- 9:19Speaker 3: if I was guessing, was ninety million, So I was
- 9:21Speaker 3: actually felt pretty good. I'm like, huh, all right, pretty
- 9:23Speaker 3: damn close. But I said, look, what difference does it
- 9:26Speaker 3: make if it's ninety million or eighty million or a
- 9:28Speaker 3: hundred million. And the reason I didn't want to positive
- 9:30Speaker 3: guess is because stupid and unfair interviews. You play gotcha's
- 9:37Speaker 3: on this and I'll say things like population numbers. There
- 9:39Speaker 3: are all sorts of countries across the globe that have
- 9:42Speaker 3: sort of really surprising populations, that they can have populations
- 9:46Speaker 3: that are either significantly bigger than you would think, are
- 9:48Speaker 3: significantly smaller than you would think. And at the end
- 9:51Speaker 3: of the day, what I was talking about, which is
- 9:53Speaker 3: the Iatola, theocratic radical lunatic who chanced death to American
- 9:58Speaker 3: is trying to develop a nuclear weapon. The thread of
- 10:01Speaker 3: that is not remotely different whether Iran has a population
- 10:06Speaker 3: of eighty million, ninety million, or a hundred million. So
- 10:09Speaker 3: it was an irrelevant gotcha. But that little clip, what
- 10:13Speaker 3: Tucker did is he released it a day before the
- 10:14Speaker 3: whole interview, so he picked out of two hours. He
- 10:17Speaker 3: thought that was the best sixty seconds because he did
- 10:19Speaker 3: get me to say the words I don't know, and
- 10:21Speaker 3: he felt very gleeful on that I got to say.
- 10:24Speaker 3: The rest of the interview as it played out, there's
- 10:26Speaker 3: a reason he wanted to start with that clip. And
- 10:28Speaker 3: that clip went viral, and that's fine, but there's a
- 10:32Speaker 3: reason he wanted to start with that clip because the
- 10:35Speaker 3: rest of the interview. Tucker's positions on Israel were very clear.
- 10:39Speaker 3: He didn't want to stand with Israel. He was and
- 10:42Speaker 3: we're going to lay this out in the course of
- 10:44Speaker 3: the show, deeply opposed to Israel, and he was deeply
- 10:48Speaker 3: opposed to President Trump's policy, and in fact, he had
- 10:50Speaker 3: been in writing and vocally attacking President Trump. And he
- 10:55Speaker 3: didn't want to talk about that in terms of putting
- 10:57Speaker 3: it out the results of the interview. But that's why
- 10:58Speaker 3: I did the interview.
- 11:00Speaker 1: I gotta ask you a question.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Are you one of those that's just so tired of
- 11:04Speaker 2: giving your money to radical left woke companies that actually
- 11:07Speaker 2: are fighting against your values every day?
- 11:10Speaker 1: Well, there are certain bills that you pay.
- 11:12Speaker 2: Every month that if you can go with a conservative company,
- 11:16Speaker 2: why not do it? In fact, why not go with
- 11:19Speaker 2: a conservative company that actually takes part of your bill
- 11:21Speaker 2: every month that you're going to pay to somebody, and
- 11:23Speaker 2: they give it back to organizations that support your First
- 11:27Speaker 2: and your Second Amendment rights, that support the rights of
- 11:30Speaker 2: unborn children, that stand with our military are first responders
- 11:35Speaker 2: and so many wounded warriors that need help. Well, that
- 11:39Speaker 2: bill I'm talking about is your cell phone bill. And
- 11:43Speaker 2: I've been telling you for a long time about Patriot Mobile,
- 11:46Speaker 2: But there's no better time to switch than right now.
- 11:49Speaker 2: Not only does Patriot Mobile operate on all three major
- 11:53Speaker 2: networks in this country.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Yeah, all three. That means you get the same great coverage.
- 11:56Speaker 2: You're used to right now, but you also make a
- 11:59Speaker 2: difference with every call you make and every text you make.
- 12:02Speaker 1: And why would you want to give your mond a
- 12:04Speaker 1: big Mobile?
- 12:04Speaker 2: Big Mobile has been giving big donations to democratic causes,
- 12:09Speaker 2: democratic candidates, and radical left organizations. I'm talking about organizations
- 12:13Speaker 2: that actually support abortion. That is why I want you
- 12:18Speaker 2: to switch right now to Patriot Mobile. Go ahead and
- 12:23Speaker 2: make the switch, And it's so easy. All you have
- 12:26Speaker 2: to do is simply call Patriot Mobiles one hundred percent
- 12:29Speaker 2: US based team from the comfort of your home or
- 12:31Speaker 2: your office and they'll have you activated in minutes. And
- 12:35Speaker 2: if you're still locked in a contract, not a problem.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Patriots Mobile contract buyout program covers up to five hundred
- 12:41Speaker 2: dollars per device. Keep your same number, keep your phone,
- 12:45Speaker 2: or upgrade do a new one. So back to my point,
- 12:47Speaker 2: what are you waiting for? Call Patriot Mobile today and
- 12:50Speaker 2: make a difference every single day with every call you make.
- 12:54Speaker 2: Patriot Mobile dot com slash ferguson that's Patriot Mobile dot
- 12:59Speaker 2: com slash ferguson or nine seven two Patriot And if
- 13:04Speaker 2: you use the promo code ferguson, you're gonna get a
- 13:06Speaker 2: free month of service on top of that Patrion mobile
- 13:09Speaker 2: dot com slash ferguson or nine seven to patriot. That's
- 13:14Speaker 2: Patriot mobile dot com slash ferguson nine seven to two Patriot.
- 13:18Speaker 1: So I've done interviews that have been pretty snarky.
- 13:20Speaker 2: I worked at seen In for a long time as
- 13:23Speaker 2: a conservative commentator.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Are you glad you did the interview?
- 13:26Speaker 2: Because I always got that question, and it's the same
- 13:27Speaker 2: one I know a lot of people want to ask.
- 13:29Speaker 3: You, absolutely one thousand percent.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Yes.
- 13:33Speaker 3: Look, could the interview have been much better? If Tucker
- 13:37Speaker 3: had wanted to sit down and have a reasonable, thoughtful conversation,
- 13:41Speaker 3: let me speak, let him speak, us go back and
- 13:44Speaker 3: forth and lay out different visions of foreign policy, that
- 13:48Speaker 3: would have been a much much better interview. But Tucker
- 13:50Speaker 3: didn't want to do that. When he didn't like what
- 13:52Speaker 3: you're saying, he interrupts, he gets snarky, he insults you,
- 13:55Speaker 3: and you're gonna hear all of that because that's what
- 13:56Speaker 3: he did.
- 13:58Speaker 4: But that's fine.
- 13:59Speaker 3: I mean, he decided he wanted this interview to be
- 14:03Speaker 3: the two of us scream at each other. So that's
- 14:04Speaker 3: what it ended up being. But I'm very glad because
- 14:07Speaker 3: it was important to lay out the contrast. Donald Trump
- 14:11Speaker 3: is right and Tucker Carlson is wrong on Israel and Iran,
- 14:15Speaker 3: and I wanted to make that absolutely clear.
- 14:17Speaker 2: One of the big differences between the two of you
- 14:21Speaker 2: was on what success looks like, especially when it comes
- 14:25Speaker 2: to Israel taking out top Iranian military leadership.
- 14:28Speaker 3: Well, that's exactly right. Israel right now is taking out
- 14:31Speaker 3: the senior Iranian military leadership. And this is a regime.
- 14:36Speaker 3: When the Iatola chants death to America, I believe him
- 14:39Speaker 3: when he chanced death to Israel. I believe him. When
- 14:42Speaker 3: he calls Israel the little Satan in America the great Satan,
- 14:46Speaker 3: I believe that he believes that. And so the Iatola's
- 14:50Speaker 3: efforts to develop nuclear weapons they are designed for one
- 14:52Speaker 3: very specific purpose, which is to be able to attack
- 14:56Speaker 3: Israel and America. And let me point out, by the way,
- 15:00Speaker 3: there is a reason the Ayatola has an ICBM program.
- 15:03Speaker 3: ICBM stands for intercontinental ballistic missile. You do not need
- 15:07Speaker 3: an ICBM to attack Israel right now. Iran is pounding
- 15:13Speaker 3: Israel with ballistic missiles. But Israel is relatively close to Iran.
- 15:18Speaker 3: Iran wants an ICBM for one purpose and one purpose only,
- 15:22Speaker 3: to be able to carry a nuclear warhead to the
- 15:25Speaker 3: United States of America. And so that is the threat
- 15:28Speaker 3: we are facing. And Israel is doing an enormous favor
- 15:31Speaker 3: to America by taking out Iran's nuclear capability. Here give
- 15:36Speaker 3: a listen to Tucker and me discussing exactly this point.
- 15:39Speaker 3: Do you want to ask how to supporting Israel benefit us?
- 15:42Speaker 3: Right now, this tiny little country the size of the
- 15:45Speaker 3: state of New Jersey is fighting our enemies for us
- 15:48Speaker 3: and taking out their top military leadership and trying to
- 15:52Speaker 3: take out their nuclear capacity.
- 15:53Speaker 4: That makes America much safer.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Right by the way, You're absolutely right.
- 15:57Speaker 2: I mean Israel is taking out top peranium mili to
- 16:00Speaker 2: your leadership. And yes, Israel is fighting our enemies right
- 16:04Speaker 2: now for US, and not just America, but many other
- 16:06Speaker 2: countries around the world.
- 16:07Speaker 3: Well, and it benefits America. Understand, these nuclear weapons are
- 16:12Speaker 3: being developed so they can attack America. And and and
- 16:16Speaker 3: it's not American soldiers who are taking out these nuclear facilities,
- 16:19Speaker 3: it is it is Israeli commandos who are doing so
- 16:23Speaker 3: that's something we should be grateful for But but Tucker
- 16:26Speaker 3: Carlson has been vigorously criticizing President Trump for standing with
- 16:31Speaker 3: Israel on this and and and here's another segment with
- 16:33Speaker 3: with with Tucker and me discussing this point.
- 16:36Speaker 5: Is that that I'm willing to spend money opposed to
- 16:39Speaker 5: that it's awful. I am against killing anybody actually, and
- 16:44Speaker 5: especially foreign government. I'm asking about your allegation and the
- 16:48Speaker 5: Prime Minister of Israel's allegation.
- 16:50Speaker 4: That killing terrorists is a good thing.
- 16:56Speaker 3: Killing people are trying to murder Americans is a good
- 16:58Speaker 3: thing because if you're America first, you want to protect Americans.
- 17:03Speaker 3: So taking out killing O'sallovan Laden was a fantastic But
- 17:06Speaker 3: you don't believe that they're trying to murder Trump or
- 17:08Speaker 3: you say it, yes, but why are you senator?
- 17:11Speaker 2: You said earlier in the interview with him at the
- 17:14Speaker 2: beginning and on this show that you and Tucker agree
- 17:17Speaker 2: on about eighty percent of the issues, like hardcore lockstep.
- 17:21Speaker 2: But this one here is maybe the most insane point
- 17:24Speaker 2: where Tucker's like, Hey, I don't want to kill anybody
- 17:27Speaker 2: around the world, no matter what I'm like, hold on,
- 17:28Speaker 2: if you had a chance to take out Hitler, You
- 17:30Speaker 2: wouldn't have done it?
- 17:30Speaker 1: Are you kidding me?
- 17:32Speaker 3: Well, this is unfortunately a point that frankly, you see
- 17:35Speaker 3: from a lot of people on the far left. You
- 17:37Speaker 3: see from the sort of Jimmy Carter's of the world,
- 17:40Speaker 3: and even Barack Obama's, the kind of piece nicks that say, man,
- 17:44Speaker 3: all war is bad. Just just you know, killing is bad.
- 17:47Speaker 3: I'm just opposed to killing. And I get that that
- 17:51Speaker 3: sounds good in a college faculty lounge. But as I
- 17:55Speaker 3: asked him in the course of it, I'm like, do
- 17:58Speaker 3: you think it's bad that we killed Osama bin Laden?
- 18:01Speaker 3: Do you think it's bad that that that Hitler's dead?
- 18:05Speaker 3: Do you think it's bad that we killed General Solomony?
- 18:07Speaker 3: Do you think it's bad that And let's be clear
- 18:09Speaker 3: that President Trump killed General Solomony. I asked him that
- 18:12Speaker 3: he wouldn't answer, that, he wouldn't ask answer if it
- 18:15Speaker 3: was if it was good or bad that we killed
- 18:16Speaker 3: Osama bin Laden. That the idea that we should never
- 18:19Speaker 3: kill anybody is an incredibly naive and unrealistic position. Look,
- 18:25Speaker 3: I think we should avoid unnecessary wars. I think we
- 18:27Speaker 3: should be very reluctant to put American servicemen and women
- 18:30Speaker 3: in harm's way. But when you have terrorists, killing Osama
- 18:34Speaker 3: bin Laden was a great day for America and a
- 18:37Speaker 3: great day for the world because Osama bin Laden murdered
- 18:40Speaker 3: thousands of Americans and waged war against America. And anyone
- 18:44Speaker 3: who is actually focused on America first and defending this
- 18:48Speaker 3: nation understands that there are dangerous people that are trying
- 18:52Speaker 3: to kill Americans and it's the job of the commander
- 18:55Speaker 3: in chief to keep them safe. Now, I will say,
- 18:59Speaker 3: in a two hour interview, one of the things that
- 19:03Speaker 3: was striking is thirty six minutes of the interview was
- 19:08Speaker 3: Tucker attacking me for supporting Israel, and in particular, he
- 19:15Speaker 3: was obsessed with APAC. APAC is the America Israel Political
- 19:20Speaker 3: Action Committee, and he was going on and on and
- 19:23Speaker 3: on about how APAC should have to register under FARH,
- 19:28Speaker 3: the law that requires that organizations that are lobbying on
- 19:31Speaker 3: behalf of foreign governments have to register. Now, APAK is
- 19:35Speaker 3: not lobbying on behalf of a foreign government. APAC consists
- 19:38Speaker 3: of Americans. It is Americans who are standing up. Now.
- 19:41Speaker 3: There are Americans who want a strong US Israel relationship,
- 19:45Speaker 3: but they are not a lobbyist for the Nation of Israel,
- 19:48Speaker 3: and all told, he asked twenty eight questions on APAC
- 19:53Speaker 3: twenty eight questions. He asked thirty five questions on why
- 19:57Speaker 3: I was supporting Israel, and finally it had led to
- 20:00Speaker 3: this moment, which which was quite a bit of fireworks. Here,
- 20:03Speaker 3: give a listen. By the way, Tucker, it's a very
- 20:07Speaker 3: weird thing, the obsession with Israel. Well, we're talking about
- 20:11Speaker 3: foreign country. You're not talking about Chinese, you're not talking
- 20:14Speaker 3: about Japanese. I'm talking about the Brits, You're not talking
- 20:16Speaker 3: about the French. The question what about the Jews? What
- 20:18Speaker 3: about the Jews? Semi Now, Senator, you're just in the question, Tucker,
- 20:23Speaker 3: you're asking why are the Jews controlling our foreign policy?
- 20:26Speaker 5: That's what you just asked, hardly saying that, and I
- 20:29Speaker 5: have that. That's exactly what you just said.
- 20:31Speaker 2: It is, by the way, exactly what you're saying over
- 20:33Speaker 2: and over again, as you mentioned for so long and again,
- 20:37Speaker 2: the demonization of Americans and many of them they are
- 20:40Speaker 2: Jewish that advocate for Israel in America and saying they
- 20:43Speaker 2: should be foreign lobbyist organization. Look, I've spoken at one
- 20:47Speaker 2: of their events before. I'm sure you've spoken it countless
- 20:50Speaker 2: events for them before. The idea that there's some foreign
- 20:53Speaker 2: agency is absurd.
- 20:54Speaker 3: And he also had a whole lot of inquiry, isn't
- 20:58Speaker 3: it horrible that Israel spy on America? My response was,
- 21:02Speaker 3: every one of our allies spies on America. We spy
- 21:05Speaker 3: on every one of our allies. That's real politique, that's
- 21:08Speaker 3: the world we live in. And he could not acknowledge
- 21:11Speaker 3: that point. He said, no, no, but Israel does it. It's
- 21:13Speaker 3: terrible that Israel does it. And it was bizarrely focused. Okay, look,
- 21:17Speaker 3: the Brits spy on us, the Canadian spy on us,
- 21:19Speaker 3: the French spy on us. Everybody spies on us, and
- 21:22Speaker 3: we spy on everybody. Welcome to reality. Because conservatives are
- 21:26Speaker 3: not simple and naive, and yet the criticism that is
- 21:29Speaker 3: directed at Israel sadly is unique and I think really unfortunate.
- 21:36Speaker 2: I want to get back into the Tucker Carlson interview
- 21:38Speaker 2: that you did and center there was some interesting themes
- 21:42Speaker 2: that came out of this interview. He was obviously attacking you,
- 21:46Speaker 2: he was attacking Israel, he was attacking groups that support Israel.
- 21:51Speaker 2: But then there was an even weirder point where I
- 21:53Speaker 2: think Tucker probably is hoping that we don't play this
- 21:56Speaker 2: or that people didn't watch the whole interview and hear
- 21:59Speaker 2: this part. It was about the Iranian regime. They've been
- 22:02Speaker 2: trying to murder Donald Trump. They've hired hitman, They've been
- 22:05Speaker 2: trying to hire hitman. They've come after former cabinet members
- 22:08Speaker 2: of Donald Trump. And when you brought it up, he
- 22:11Speaker 2: acted like he'd never heard of this before and that
- 22:13Speaker 2: you were either lying or this is shocking news to him.
- 22:16Speaker 3: Yeah, this was utterly bizarre, and I got to say,
- 22:19Speaker 3: in the whole course of the two hour interview, this
- 22:21Speaker 3: was the strangest portion. For the last two years, Iran
- 22:24Speaker 3: has been actively trying to murder President Donald Trump. Iran
- 22:28Speaker 3: has hired hitman to murder President Trump, and Ran also
- 22:31Speaker 3: has been trying to murder Mike Pompeo, President Trump's former
- 22:35Speaker 3: secretary of State, John Bolton, President Trump's former national security advisor,
- 22:40Speaker 3: and Brian Hook, President Trump's former assistant secretary of State.
- 22:43Speaker 3: All of them, Iran has hired hitman and has been
- 22:46Speaker 3: targeting them bizarrely, and this has been widely reported. These
- 22:50Speaker 3: are objective facts, but Bizarrely, Tucker Carlson assisted insisted this
- 22:55Speaker 3: has never happened.
- 22:57Speaker 1: Here, give a listen.
- 22:58Speaker 5: I just want to pull that thread because it's so important.
- 23:00Speaker 5: I voted for Donald Trump. I can't paign for Donald Trump.
- 23:02Speaker 5: He's our president and won the custom of a war.
- 23:05Speaker 5: So if Iran, if there's evidence that Iran paid hitman
- 23:08Speaker 5: to kill Donald Trump and is currently doing that, where's that?
- 23:11Speaker 5: What are you even talking I've never heard that before. Okay,
- 23:14Speaker 5: where is the evidence? Who are these people? Why haven't
- 23:16Speaker 5: they been arrested? Why are we not at war with Iran?
- 23:18Speaker 5: That's a great question to ask. How do you know
- 23:21Speaker 5: that that's true.
- 23:22Speaker 3: We know that it's true because we have been told
- 23:25Speaker 3: that by the military at our intelligence community for the
- 23:28Speaker 3: last two years. We meaning who Congress has in the public.
- 23:32Speaker 3: I mean, I had multiple testimonies. I can send you
- 23:36Speaker 3: test We know the names.
- 23:37Speaker 5: Of the people are where this happened, or what they
- 23:38Speaker 5: tried to do to kill Trump.
- 23:40Speaker 4: We do not.
- 23:41Speaker 3: We have not apprehended an Iranian hit man trying to
- 23:44Speaker 3: kill him. We know that Iran is trying to do
- 23:46Speaker 3: so in the United States. Yes, and by the way,
- 23:50Speaker 3: like Iran, this.
- 23:51Speaker 5: Just seems like a huge headline, and you're acting like
- 23:53Speaker 5: everyone knows this. I didn't know that.
- 23:55Speaker 4: Iran put out a whole video about murdering Trump.
- 23:59Speaker 5: Right, but I've never heard evidence that there are hitmen
- 24:02Speaker 5: in the United States, I mean trying to kill Trump
- 24:05Speaker 5: right now, we should like have a nationwide drag dowd
- 24:08Speaker 5: on this and we should attack Iran immediately if that's true.
- 24:11Speaker 5: Don't you think no, but they're trying to assassinate our president.
- 24:15Speaker 5: They have been for two years. They are with them.
- 24:19Speaker 5: Well we are trying, why don't we just nuke tear
- 24:21Speaker 5: If they're trying to murder our president. There's nothing that
- 24:24Speaker 5: you could do that would be worse for the United
- 24:26Speaker 5: States than murdering Trump. And I just don't understand why
- 24:29Speaker 5: you're not calling for the use of nuclear weapons against
- 24:31Speaker 5: the eye tootal right now, I'm serious.
- 24:32Speaker 4: If if you really.
- 24:33Speaker 3: Believe there's a nuclear weapons whatever hits the problem of
- 24:37Speaker 3: so mean, you don't seem to take the allegation seriously.
- 24:39Speaker 1: I do.
- 24:40Speaker 5: If you believe they're trying to murder Trump, we need
- 24:42Speaker 5: to stop what we're doing and punish them.
- 24:45Speaker 1: I mean, insanely bizarre.
- 24:47Speaker 2: We went from let's not do anything to Oh, they're
- 24:49Speaker 2: trying to kill Trump. Well, if that's true, let's just
- 24:52Speaker 2: nuke them.
- 24:53Speaker 1: So you're right.
- 24:54Speaker 3: The entire two hours, Tucker's position was, do nothing on
- 24:57Speaker 3: a Ran, do nothing on a Ran, do nothing on Iran,
- 25:00Speaker 3: do not support Israel, do not support Israel, do not
- 25:02Speaker 3: support Israel. But if Iran is trying to murder Trump,
- 25:06Speaker 3: then we should nuke them. Okay, Ben, that's absolutely wacky.
- 25:12Speaker 3: And look, it's the sign of someone who's not presenting
- 25:15Speaker 3: an argument in good faith. No, we should not be
- 25:17Speaker 3: nuking Iran. That's not a good idea. And by the way,
- 25:22Speaker 3: this is a point where actually facts matter. And part
- 25:25Speaker 3: of what was frustrating about this interview is that Tucker
- 25:28Speaker 3: just says things that are blatantly false and he doesn't
- 25:32Speaker 3: care if they're true or false. So this is an
- 25:34Speaker 3: objective fact. I'm going to read to you from a
- 25:37Speaker 3: political article on November eighth, twenty twenty four, not very
- 25:41Speaker 3: long ago.
- 25:41Speaker 4: Here's the title.
- 25:42Speaker 3: Iran ordered an operative to assassinate Trump before the election.
- 25:46Speaker 3: Federal prosecutors say the alleged would be assassin is believed
- 25:50Speaker 3: to be in Iran and remains at large. Prosecutors said
- 25:53Speaker 3: here's the.
- 25:53Speaker 4: Beginning of the article.
- 25:54Speaker 3: The Iranian government ordered an operative to assassinate Donald Trump
- 25:57Speaker 3: before the twenty twenty four election, Manhattan Federal prosecutors said Friday,
- 26:01Speaker 3: the latest in a string of assassination plots directed at
- 26:04Speaker 3: the former and future president in recent months. Prosecutors charged
- 26:09Speaker 3: Farhad Shakiri with murder for hire and providing material support
- 26:13Speaker 3: to foreign terrorist organization. He is believed to be in
- 26:15Speaker 3: Iran and remains at large, prosecutors said. The article continues quote.
- 26:19Speaker 3: According to a criminal complaint unsealed in Manhattan Federal Court,
- 26:23Speaker 3: Shakiri said during an FBI interview that in September he
- 26:27Speaker 3: was directed by the Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran to
- 26:32Speaker 3: surveil and kill Trump, whom the charging papers identify as
- 26:37Speaker 3: victim for When Shakiri told an IRGC official that doing
- 26:40Speaker 3: so would prove expensive, the official responded that money's not
- 26:44Speaker 3: an issue, which Shakiri understood to mean that the IRGC
- 26:48Speaker 3: had previously spent a significant sum of money on efforts
- 26:52Speaker 3: to murder victim four and was willing to continue spending
- 26:55Speaker 3: a lot of money in its attempt to procure victims
- 26:57Speaker 3: for assassination. According to the true charging papers. So there's
- 27:01Speaker 3: literally a Department of Justice indictments specifically against an assassin
- 27:07Speaker 3: for for for attempting to murder Trump. There also, by
- 27:11Speaker 3: the way, was a separate assassin who was arrested for
- 27:13Speaker 3: renting an apartment next to John Bolton, Iranian assassin that
- 27:17Speaker 3: was there to murder Trump's former national security advisor.
- 27:20Speaker 4: And as I.
- 27:20Speaker 3: Noted, the Iranians put out an entire video, a minute
- 27:24Speaker 3: and a half video. It's an animated video that shows
- 27:27Speaker 3: Donald Trump playing golf and shows the Iranians using a
- 27:32Speaker 3: drone attack to kill him. All of that is is
- 27:36Speaker 3: objectively true, and yet Tucker says, I've never heard a
- 27:39Speaker 3: word of it. I don't know anything about this, and
- 27:41Speaker 3: I want to. I want to play this video right here.
- 27:44Speaker 3: This is in Farsi, but but I want to play it,
- 27:45Speaker 3: and then I'm going to tell you what what he's saying.
- 27:47Speaker 3: So give a listen.
- 27:49Speaker 4: Thought, am I gonna meet how on this?
- 27:51Speaker 6: Well?
- 27:52Speaker 2: Was than you know?
- 28:01Speaker 4: I mean mckinzio in file Mondona and Isomi Kingmi? What's
- 28:09Speaker 4: your alone?
- 28:12Speaker 1: So let's just be queer.
- 28:13Speaker 2: That's the IRGC commander live on Islamic Republic of Iran
- 28:18Speaker 2: State TV and tell people what he just said.
- 28:22Speaker 3: Well, his name is Amir Ali Hajazade, he's the commander
- 28:26Speaker 3: of the IRGC. He's on national television and he says,
- 28:30Speaker 3: quote God willing will be able to kill Trump, Pompeo,
- 28:35Speaker 3: General McKenzie, and other US commanders. That's on TV now.
- 28:39Speaker 3: Tucker spent the entire interview denying that Iran was trying
- 28:44Speaker 3: to kill President Trump. That's objectively false.
- 28:47Speaker 4: Facts matter.
- 28:48Speaker 3: And bizarrely, he said, well, if that fact was true,
- 28:50Speaker 3: he thought we should immediately attack Iran and we should Nukran. Well, no,
- 28:54Speaker 3: that's not the case. We should not Nukran, but we
- 28:57Speaker 3: should do what President Trump is doing right now, just
- 29:00Speaker 3: support Israel in taking out a RAN's nuclear capability and
- 29:04Speaker 3: their senior military leadership. That actually makes sense. And I'll
- 29:07Speaker 3: tell you that. The day after our interview aired, President
- 29:10Speaker 3: Trump was asked about the conflict between me and Tucker
- 29:14Speaker 3: in the Oval office. And here give a listen to
- 29:16Speaker 3: the back and forth President Trump had in the Oval
- 29:19Speaker 3: with a reporter. Do you see the Tucker Carl Sitt
- 29:21Speaker 3: and Senator Ted Cruz interview. It seems like this issue
- 29:23Speaker 3: on whether or not the United States should strike is
- 29:25Speaker 3: kind of dividing a lot of your supporters.
- 29:29Speaker 6: Uh no, my supporter is it for me. My supporters
- 29:32Speaker 6: are America first. They make America great again. My supporters
- 29:36Speaker 6: don't want to see around have a nuclear weapon. Tucker's
- 29:39Speaker 6: a nice guy. He called apologized the other day because
- 29:42Speaker 6: he thought he said thanks for a little bit too strong,
- 29:45Speaker 6: and I appreciated that. And Ted Cruz is a nice guy.
- 29:48Speaker 6: I mean, he's been with me for a long time.
- 29:50Speaker 6: I'd say once the race was over, he's been with
- 29:52Speaker 6: me ever since.
- 29:52Speaker 4: Right, but very simple.
- 29:57Speaker 6: If they think that it's okay for Aroan to have
- 29:59Speaker 6: a nuclear weapon, then they should oppose me. But nobody
- 30:02Speaker 6: thinks it's okay.
- 30:04Speaker 2: This goes back to the very beginning and why I
- 30:07Speaker 2: think Tucker was so hostile. He wanted a distraction from
- 30:11Speaker 2: the fact that he had messed up with Trump. He
- 30:13Speaker 2: had to call Trump and apologize, and he thought, all right,
- 30:16Speaker 2: if I just go after Ted Cruz, maybe that'll fix
- 30:19Speaker 2: all my problems.
- 30:20Speaker 1: I don't think it worked well.
- 30:21Speaker 3: And look, the reason that Tucker had to apologize to
- 30:24Speaker 3: Trump is that he had been publicly blasting Trump. He
- 30:27Speaker 3: said Trump was complicit in Israel's war and he said
- 30:31Speaker 3: he said what Trump was doing was not America first.
- 30:34Speaker 3: And President Trump tweeted out and said, look, I'm the
- 30:37Speaker 3: one who created America First, and I decide what it is.
- 30:40Speaker 3: And allowing Iran to have a nuclear weapon that is
- 30:43Speaker 3: not America first. And that's exactly what President Trump said
- 30:47Speaker 3: in the oval. You know what's amazing, We've laid out
- 30:51Speaker 3: the facts that is undisputed, by the way, out of
- 30:53Speaker 3: one hundred senators, all one hundred degree, that Iran is
- 30:56Speaker 3: trying to murder President Trump, even the looniest, even Bernie Sanders,
- 31:00Speaker 3: even Elizabeth Warren, doesn't dispute that Iran is trying to
- 31:03Speaker 3: murder Trump because it's an objective fact. I've laid them
- 31:06Speaker 3: out that those facts out repeatedly. You know, Tucker has
- 31:09Speaker 3: not responded once to that. He has not said, oh,
- 31:11Speaker 3: I was wrong on that. He hasn't said, oh well, gosh,
- 31:14Speaker 3: I said if that was the case, we should attack
- 31:15Speaker 3: Ran immediately in nuke them, which, by the way, to
- 31:17Speaker 3: be clear, we should not. At the end of the day,
- 31:20Speaker 3: facts matter, and the good news is the commander in
- 31:24Speaker 3: chief's job is to be clear eyed and do what
- 31:27Speaker 3: is necessary to keep America safe. President Trump is doing that.
- 31:32Speaker 3: I spoke to him just a few days ago and
- 31:33Speaker 3: I said, mister President, thank you, thank you for standing
- 31:36Speaker 3: with Israel, thank you for standing up for America.
- 31:38Speaker 4: Thank you for.
- 31:39Speaker 3: Defending our servicemen and women. You notice Iran has not
- 31:42Speaker 3: attacked our servicemen and women because the President has made
- 31:44Speaker 3: clear the consequences would be massive for doing so. And
- 31:48Speaker 3: President Trump right now is being strong and resolute, and
- 31:52Speaker 3: I'm proud to stand with the President that he is
- 31:55Speaker 3: doing exactly the right thing. He is embodying America first,
- 31:59Speaker 3: and he's keeping this country safe.
- 32:01Speaker 2: And there's one big definition that has been coming up,
- 32:06Speaker 2: and I've seen it a lot, and I've been asked about,
- 32:09Speaker 2: especially since it's interview, and it's the argument, are the
- 32:13Speaker 2: word isolationists or isolationism?
- 32:16Speaker 1: What does that mean?
- 32:17Speaker 2: And then your thoughts on it, Senator, so people understand it,
- 32:21Speaker 2: but also what is your foreign policies so people to
- 32:24Speaker 2: understand you're not an isolationist and you're not one of
- 32:27Speaker 2: those it's like, hey, let's go to war everywhere we
- 32:29Speaker 2: can't either.
- 32:30Speaker 3: Yeah, that's exactly right. And this is something we talked
- 32:33Speaker 3: about quite a bit in the interview with Tucker Carlson,
- 32:37Speaker 3: and when he wasn't screaming at me and it wasn't
- 32:40Speaker 3: a mud mess, we actually laid out some really important
- 32:46Speaker 3: basic philosophy on foreign policy. Look, historically, there have been
- 32:50Speaker 3: two polls in Republican foreign policy. On the one side,
- 32:54Speaker 3: you've had the interventionists. They've been people like John McCain,
- 32:57Speaker 3: people like Lindsey Graham, who who are eager to use
- 33:01Speaker 3: US military force, who are frequently advocating for a robust,
- 33:07Speaker 3: robust use of military force. On the other pole, you
- 33:12Speaker 3: have the isolationist and the most notable of those are
- 33:15Speaker 3: Ron Paul and Ran Paul and Tucker Carlson, I think
- 33:19Speaker 3: is now emphatically in that category as well. And their
- 33:23Speaker 3: view is that America should withdraw from the world, that
- 33:26Speaker 3: we have two giant oceans on both sides, and we
- 33:29Speaker 3: should not employ the military. As Tucker said in an
- 33:32Speaker 3: earlier clip we played, we should never kill anybody, which
- 33:35Speaker 3: which means our military should never engage with our enemies.
- 33:39Speaker 3: I've always considered, and most people look at that and say, Okay,
- 33:42Speaker 3: you got to be one or the other. I've always
- 33:45Speaker 3: thought both views were wrong. I disagree with both. I
- 33:48Speaker 3: disagree with interventionists. I disagree with isolationist. I consider myself
- 33:54Speaker 3: a third point on the triangle. I consider myself a
- 33:57Speaker 3: non interventionist hawk. Now what does that mean. It means
- 34:02Speaker 3: that I am exceptionally reluctant to you at US US
- 34:05Speaker 3: military force. We should have a very high threshold for
- 34:08Speaker 3: sending our sons and daughters into harms. Way, we should
- 34:11Speaker 3: not engage in unnecessary wars. But and this is a
- 34:14Speaker 3: very important butt, the touchstone for all foreign policy and
- 34:19Speaker 3: military action should be the vital national security interest of
- 34:24Speaker 3: the United States. So I opposed the Iraq War. The
- 34:28Speaker 3: Iraq War under George W. Bush, I think was a mistake.
- 34:32Speaker 3: It ended up making America less safe. We toppled a dictator,
- 34:35Speaker 3: Saddam Hussein, who was killing radical Islamic terrorist and what happened.
- 34:39Speaker 3: The radical Islamic terrorists took over and they began killing Americans.
- 34:43Speaker 3: That was bad. I also oppose what happened in Libya.
- 34:46Speaker 3: Kadafi was another dictator. He was killing radical Islamic terrorists.
- 34:51Speaker 3: We toppled Kadafi and the radical Islamic terrorists took over
- 34:54Speaker 3: and began killing Americans. That was bad. The touchstone should
- 34:59Speaker 3: be does the make America more safe? Does this protect Americans?
- 35:03Speaker 3: And the reason I believe that President Trump is exactly
- 35:07Speaker 3: right to support Israel in stopping Iran's nuclear weapons capability
- 35:13Speaker 3: is because Iran with a nuclear weapon poses a clear
- 35:16Speaker 3: threat to the safety and security of America and a
- 35:20Speaker 3: clear threat of murdering a vast number of Americans. That's
- 35:24Speaker 3: why Israel is acting, That's why President Trump is acting.
- 35:27Speaker 3: And I'll point out ben when I say non interventionist talk,
- 35:31Speaker 3: that's a fancy way of saying what President Reagan referred
- 35:35Speaker 3: to as peace through strength. Be strong enough that your
- 35:38Speaker 3: enemies don't want to mess with you. If you want
- 35:40Speaker 3: to avoid war, be strong. When you're weak, When you're isolationist,
- 35:44Speaker 3: you end up with more war because your enemies are
- 35:46Speaker 3: aggressive because they know you're weak. It is also, I
- 35:50Speaker 3: believe exactly what President Trump's foreign policy is. It's what
- 35:54Speaker 3: he has done consistently, and I agree with President Trump's
- 35:58Speaker 3: foreign policy. And I will say that that's true on Iran,
- 36:01Speaker 3: that's true in Israel, but it's also true in Russia.
- 36:03Speaker 4: And I want you to.
- 36:04Speaker 3: Listen to a back and forth that that that Tucker
- 36:07Speaker 3: and I had on Russia, because that's another area where
- 36:10Speaker 3: clarity is valuable.
- 36:11Speaker 4: And here, give a listen. I don't think that Putin
- 36:14Speaker 4: loves us.
- 36:16Speaker 5: I'm distressed by the moral condition of most leaders around
- 36:19Speaker 5: the world.
- 36:19Speaker 4: Most of them they all kill people.
- 36:20Speaker 1: I'm against that.
- 36:21Speaker 5: I'm just saying I wish to focus here when I
- 36:25Speaker 5: say something.
- 36:25Speaker 3: I actually don't agree with that statement. They all kill people.
- 36:28Speaker 3: There's a moral relativism. So I don't think Donald Trump
- 36:31Speaker 3: is a murderer. He doesn't kill people.
- 36:32Speaker 4: We don't have customer Donald Trump a murderer.
- 36:34Speaker 3: And you just said world leaders all kill people, and
- 36:37Speaker 3: there's a moral relativism.
- 36:39Speaker 4: I'm hardly a moral relative, but you are.
- 36:41Speaker 3: You just that statement was the estimated a semi and
- 36:44Speaker 3: isolation moral relativest Okay, no, not do just say world
- 36:50Speaker 3: leaders all killed saying I'm against killing people in general,
- 36:53Speaker 3: so and hyperventilating about how Putin was in the KGB
- 36:57Speaker 3: or whatever.
- 36:57Speaker 5: I just want to serve American interest and pushing into
- 37:00Speaker 5: Kine is not in our interest at all.
- 37:01Speaker 3: And you helped you and you haven't apologized. And by
- 37:04Speaker 3: the way, you're the cheerleader. I helped drive him into China.
- 37:07Speaker 3: It's an complete lie. The war against him. No, I
- 37:10Speaker 3: authored the legislation that shut down Nordstream too, that prevented
- 37:13Speaker 3: the war. And if Trump had still been in the
- 37:15Speaker 3: White House, we would have had the war. And look
- 37:18Speaker 3: the comment you made, the reason things like moral relativism
- 37:21Speaker 3: are so dangerous. Oh, everyone kills people. No, there is
- 37:23Speaker 3: a difference to the United States relative. We don't have
- 37:26Speaker 3: concentration camps. We don't torture and murder people. You look
- 37:30Speaker 3: at China where they've got a million prisoners in concentration camps.
- 37:33Speaker 3: You look at Putin where he's got prisoners in Siberia.
- 37:36Speaker 3: He tortures and murders his political opponents. Donald Trump doesn't
- 37:40Speaker 3: do that. America doesn't do that. And by the way,
- 37:43Speaker 3: countries don't do that. I see the game. It's like
- 37:46Speaker 3: you're the rest again. I'm distressed. Though I'm responding with facts.
- 37:49Speaker 3: You don't like the facts. I don't even know what
- 37:52Speaker 3: facts you're talking about. I'm not saying that Trump puts
- 37:54Speaker 3: people in concentration camps. I can't paign for Trump. I
- 37:56Speaker 3: love Trump, so did I Okay, so this is something
- 37:58Speaker 3: with Trump. I'm merely when you said it, druve some
- 38:02Speaker 3: more emphasis on what's happening inside the country.
- 38:05Speaker 4: That's it.
- 38:06Speaker 3: Is there a moral difference between America and our enemies
- 38:09Speaker 3: in America? And what is it articulated? Its valuable to say, why?
- 38:14Speaker 1: Wow?
- 38:15Speaker 2: And I think that's one of the biggest differences between
- 38:17Speaker 2: you and Tiger Carlson right there in that conversation.
- 38:20Speaker 3: Yeah, Look, he would not say that Putin was a
- 38:22Speaker 3: bad guy. He would not say that that that President
- 38:26Speaker 3: Trump was right to take out General Solimani. He would
- 38:28Speaker 3: not say that President Trump was right to take out
- 38:31Speaker 3: Al Baghdaddy, the head of ISIS. He would not say
- 38:33Speaker 3: that President Trump was right to take out Isis's caliphate.
- 38:36Speaker 3: And here, I want you to listen to this. Additionally,
- 38:38Speaker 3: back and forth we had on Russia. Say, I don't
- 38:42Speaker 3: understand for some reason, you are really invested in defending
- 38:47Speaker 3: Russian I don't get that.
- 38:48Speaker 4: I'm not attacking you with that. I'm genuinely like, I.
- 38:50Speaker 3: Don't get why you're you're so passionate about defending Rusger.
- 38:55Speaker 2: I mean, wow, sat the laughing at the end by
- 38:58Speaker 2: him just because you were killing him with the facts
- 39:02Speaker 2: really sums up the entire two hour interview.
- 39:04Speaker 3: In my opinion, it was an odd thing because he
- 39:07Speaker 3: would say things that were just wildly untrue. He'd said
- 39:09Speaker 3: every world leader kills people, and no, it is not equivalent.
- 39:13Speaker 3: Donald Trump is not equivalent to Vladimir Putin. And that's
- 39:16Speaker 3: frankly something that left to say, and unfortunately isolationists on
- 39:20Speaker 3: the right said it as well. And it's simply not true.
- 39:23Speaker 3: You know, we were having this interview in my office,
- 39:26Speaker 3: and the dominant feature in my office is a gigantic
- 39:30Speaker 3: painting of Ronald Reagan in front of the Brandenburg Gate,
- 39:33Speaker 3: and above him in German are the words tear down
- 39:36Speaker 3: this wall in the style of the graffiti. I think
- 39:39Speaker 3: those are the most important words uttered in modern times,
- 39:42Speaker 3: and they call for the importance of American leadership. Now,
- 39:45Speaker 3: as I may clear this interview, I don't want us
- 39:47Speaker 3: to be at war with Russia. We should not be
- 39:49Speaker 3: at war with Russia. But it doesn't mean we need
- 39:51Speaker 3: to be cheerleaders for Russia, that we need to be
- 39:54Speaker 3: cutting essentially infomercials for Russian and grocery stores. We ought
- 39:58Speaker 3: to speak the truth. And the pulpit of the presidency
- 40:01Speaker 3: is incredibly powerful, and I got to say again, President
- 40:03Speaker 3: Trump is doing that beautifully. The entire point of this
- 40:06Speaker 3: interview was for me to make absolutely clear that on Israel,
- 40:10Speaker 3: on Iran, President Trump is right and Tucker Carlson is wrong,
- 40:14Speaker 3: and we stand with Israel and we will keep the
- 40:16Speaker 3: American people safe.
- 40:18Speaker 2: Make sure you share this podcast with your family and friends,
- 40:21Speaker 2: put it up on social media wherever you are, and
- 40:24Speaker 2: we appreciate you listening every day.
- 40:26Speaker 1: We'll see you back here tomorrow
