- 0:01Speaker 1: The Iran prisoner swap. It's happened, my friends. How much
- 0:05Speaker 1: did it cost us? More than a billion dollars per
- 0:08Speaker 1: American who are now on their way back to the
- 0:11Speaker 1: United States of America. Yes, I am very happy as
- 0:15Speaker 1: we saw the images of the Americans walking off the
- 0:19Speaker 1: plane in Qatar, and these five Americans who spent years
- 0:23Speaker 1: in prison in Iran were freed on Monday as part
- 0:27Speaker 1: of a complex diplomatic deal That's what the White House
- 0:30Speaker 1: described it as with the United States of America and Iran.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Now these hostages who were flown out of Tehran to
- 0:39Speaker 1: Qatar are now flying back to Washington, d C. On
- 0:42Speaker 1: a US government plane as part of the deal. The
- 0:45Speaker 1: Biden administration also unfroze This is paying ransom, whether they
- 0:50Speaker 1: want to lie to you or not, that's what this is.
- 0:53Speaker 1: We unfroze nearly six billion in oil revenue that have
- 0:57Speaker 1: been held in South Korea since twenty eighteen. The Iranian
- 1:01Speaker 1: Foreign minister said two of the Iranian prisoners held in
- 1:05Speaker 1: the United States planned to stay in the US and
- 1:08Speaker 1: two planned to return to Iran, and one would go
- 1:11Speaker 1: to a different country where family lived. Those are the
- 1:13Speaker 1: ones we exchanged with Iran for our American citizens, and
- 1:17Speaker 1: by the way, we paid over a billion dollars for
- 1:20Speaker 1: each American life. President Biden said in a statement, five
- 1:24Speaker 1: innocent Americans who were imprisoned in Iran are finally coming home.
- 1:28Speaker 1: I'm grateful to our partners at home and abroad for
- 1:32Speaker 1: their tireless efforts to help us achieve this outcome, including
- 1:36Speaker 1: the governments of Qatar, Oman, Switzerland, and South Korea. Now,
- 1:41Speaker 1: these five Americans that were being held in Iran as
- 1:44Speaker 1: part of this prisoner swap deal. Of course, the US
- 1:48Speaker 1: government wants you to believe that this was not a
- 1:52Speaker 1: pay ransom plot. It is, however, because we unfroze a
- 1:57Speaker 1: seven billion of Iran's oil revenue that had been held
- 2:00Speaker 1: for years. The five Iranian systems being held in the
- 2:04Speaker 1: US were also released in this exchange. They didn't give
- 2:07Speaker 1: us any money or unfreeze any assets or anything like
- 2:10Speaker 1: that at all. So this was clearly a one sided deal.
- 2:14Speaker 1: This is a president, by the way, that promised we
- 2:18Speaker 1: weren't going to pay right, we weren't going to pay
- 2:20Speaker 1: ransom for Americans. Well we now know he will pay
- 2:24Speaker 1: more than a billion dollars per American that we left
- 2:28Speaker 1: behind now. The prisoners we also have been told they
- 2:32Speaker 1: felt like they were left behind to rot in an
- 2:35Speaker 1: Iranian prison. One of the men who had been detained
- 2:38Speaker 1: in Tehran since twenty fifteen, while visiting family, wrote a
- 2:42Speaker 1: New York Times op ed in June of last year
- 2:46Speaker 1: entitled I'm an American? Why have I been left to rot?
- 2:51Speaker 1: As a hostage of Iran?
- 2:53Speaker 2: Now?
- 2:53Speaker 1: USA Today did an extensive kind of look into this
- 2:59Speaker 1: man and and the details of what living in this
- 3:02Speaker 1: Iranian prison was actually like. Now, this hostage when he
- 3:06Speaker 1: told his story in this op ed, said it was
- 3:08Speaker 1: horrendous how he was treated, especially early on, saying this
- 3:13Speaker 1: quote often. I was kept in a bare closet size room.
- 3:18Speaker 1: He slept on the floor, he said, and received food
- 3:21Speaker 1: from under the door, just like he was a dog.
- 3:24Speaker 2: He said.
- 3:25Speaker 1: He endured unutterable indignities during the twenty seven months he
- 3:30Speaker 1: spent in that corner of hell before being moved.
- 3:34Speaker 2: To the general ward.
- 3:36Speaker 1: He pleaded to President Biden for help, according to USA Today,
- 3:41Speaker 1: writing in a message shared by his lawyer, saying this
- 3:44Speaker 1: all I want, sir, is one min of your day's
- 3:46Speaker 1: time for the next seven days devoted to thinking about
- 3:50Speaker 1: the tribulations of the US hostages in Iran. Well, this
- 3:55Speaker 1: is going to be treated by the media, by the way,
- 3:57Speaker 1: as a big victory for the Biden A minister. Obviously,
- 4:02Speaker 1: I'm glad that these Americans are back. What I'm not
- 4:05Speaker 1: happy about is the fact that we have paid more
- 4:08Speaker 1: than a billion dollars per hostage, and that means that
- 4:12Speaker 1: others around the world are going to end up taking
- 4:14Speaker 1: more American hostages when they can, because they know the
- 4:17Speaker 1: Biden administration will pay now ransom now Biden, of course,
- 4:22Speaker 1: the White House not letting any of that just disappoint
- 4:25Speaker 1: their media day and the families of the five Americans
- 4:28Speaker 1: freed from the from Iran spoke to President Biden on Monday.
- 4:32Speaker 1: According to the family members of those who had been released,
- 4:36Speaker 1: CBS News report that Biden a national security advisor Jake Sullivan,
- 4:41Speaker 1: spoke with all five families on the same call for
- 4:45Speaker 1: just under ten minutes. Biden told the families he started
- 4:48Speaker 1: the process to bring their loved ones home when he
- 4:50Speaker 1: took office in twenty twenty.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Now.
- 4:53Speaker 1: The breakdown of the US sanctions on Iran is also
- 4:56Speaker 1: another part of the story that's not been covered. The
- 5:00Speaker 1: prisoner swap was underway, there was something else that happened.
- 5:04Speaker 1: The United States announced on Monday that it has been
- 5:08Speaker 1: that it has imposed quote news sanctions on Iran's intelligence
- 5:12Speaker 1: ministry and the former president over the disappearance of Bob Levinson,
- 5:19Speaker 1: who's a former FBI agent who disappeared in Iran in
- 5:23Speaker 1: mysterious circumstances and is presumed dead. Iran is already one
- 5:28Speaker 1: of the world's most sanctioned countries, and AFP had to
- 5:33Speaker 1: break down of those sanctions that they published this morning.
- 5:37Speaker 1: And let's go back so you understand the history of
- 5:39Speaker 1: this country. If you go back to the Iranian hostage
- 5:43Speaker 1: crisis back in April of nineteen eighty, that was midway
- 5:46Speaker 1: through that four hundred and forty four day hostage crisis
- 5:49Speaker 1: of the US embassy in Tehran. Washington not only broke
- 5:53Speaker 1: off diplomatic relations with Iran and imposed restrictions on commerce
- 5:58Speaker 1: and travel, but fifteen years later, then President Bill Clinton
- 6:02Speaker 1: announced a complete ban on trade and investment in Iran,
- 6:06Speaker 1: accusing of seeking to acquire nuclear weapons and supporting terrorism.
- 6:10Speaker 1: To this day, nearly all US trade with Iran is banned,
- 6:13Speaker 1: from oil to cars, to carpet and even food. There
- 6:18Speaker 1: are some exceptions, as well as medicine and humanitarian goods.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Then you look at the arms race.
- 6:25Speaker 1: The US continues to ban the trade of all weapons
- 6:28Speaker 1: with Iran, even though they have plenty of weapons at
- 6:31Speaker 1: their disposal. Three years after a US arms and UN
- 6:35Speaker 1: excuse me, arms embargo on Iran expired. The UN embargo
- 6:40Speaker 1: ran out under the terms of an international deal on
- 6:42Speaker 1: curbing Iran's nuclear program, from which then President Donald Trump
- 6:46Speaker 1: withdrew from in twenty eighteen. But the US continues to
- 6:50Speaker 1: sanction any individual entity in the US or elsewhere that
- 6:54Speaker 1: trades weapons with Iran. And then you've got the financial
- 6:59Speaker 1: aspect as well. The US blox Iranian government assets in
- 7:03Speaker 1: the United States and banns US companies from engaging in
- 7:05Speaker 1: business with Iran central bank. It also bans American banks
- 7:09Speaker 1: from serving as intermediaries in the transfer of funds to Iran,
- 7:13Speaker 1: and in twenty eighteen, the Trump administration expanded the sanctions
- 7:18Speaker 1: to foreign institutions that do business with Iran's central bank.
- 7:23Speaker 1: They risk losing access to the US financial system if
- 7:26Speaker 1: they try to go around this.
- 7:28Speaker 2: And then there's the issue of oil.
- 7:30Speaker 1: After having already banned oil exports to the United States Washington,
- 7:34Speaker 1: in nineteen ninety six enacted a law also sanctioning foreign
- 7:38Speaker 1: companies that invest in Iran's oil sector, the country's top
- 7:42Speaker 1: foreign exchange earner.
- 7:44Speaker 2: For them. Without it, they're poor.
- 7:46Speaker 1: In twenty nineteen, the US lifted exemptions that it allowed
- 7:49Speaker 1: eight countries, including Turkey and India, to continue purchasing Iranian oil,
- 7:54Speaker 1: causing a collapse in the Iranian oil exports. But don't worry,
- 7:58Speaker 1: Joe Biden's back and off and now everything's fine and Iran.
- 8:02Speaker 1: There was also a big lie. It was a massive
- 8:05Speaker 1: lie that was told. The White House said that the
- 8:08Speaker 1: money that we had given them access to, this six
- 8:11Speaker 1: billion dollars, right, more than a billion per person American
- 8:15Speaker 1: that we got back, is what they received in this
- 8:18Speaker 1: deal was only going to be used for quote, humanitarian
- 8:22Speaker 1: reasons or humanitarian purposes.
- 8:25Speaker 2: We also know now that that is a lie.
- 8:29Speaker 1: The Iranian president said, they'll use the money for whatever
- 8:32Speaker 1: the hell they want to laughing at this idea, right,
- 8:36Speaker 1: I mean literally laughing at the idea that we or
- 8:41Speaker 1: that they were going to be told where they could
- 8:43Speaker 1: and could not spend the six billion dollars that they
- 8:46Speaker 1: just got their hands on. But First, I want to
- 8:49Speaker 1: tell you about a company that I really want you
- 8:52Speaker 1: to check out. Every day we hear about another familiar
- 8:56Speaker 1: brand that sells out their customers and is going on.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Americans like me and you're probably one of them, are
- 9:04Speaker 1: sick and tired of having leftist propaganda jammed into every
- 9:08Speaker 1: product that we consume. Well, woke mobile companies are no different.
- 9:13Speaker 1: The company that you're paying your bill to right now
- 9:15Speaker 1: may be giving major donations to Planned Parenthood, for example,
- 9:18Speaker 1: and for years they've been dumping millions of these liberal
- 9:21Speaker 1: causes and we had to take it because you need
- 9:23Speaker 1: a cell phone and probably thought there was no alternative.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Well, I've got news for you.
- 9:27Speaker 1: There is, and I want you to make the switch
- 9:30Speaker 1: and stand up for a company that stands up for
- 9:32Speaker 1: your values. Patriot Mobile is America's only Christian conservative wireless provider,
- 9:38Speaker 1: offering dependable nationwide coverage on all three major networks. That
- 9:42Speaker 1: means you get the best possible service in your area period.
- 9:47Speaker 1: But guess what you do lose the leftist propaganda. Now,
- 9:50Speaker 1: when you switch to Patriot Mobile, you're sending a message
- 9:53Speaker 1: that you support free speech, religious freedom, the sanctity of life,
- 9:57Speaker 1: the Second Amendment, are military veterans and first responder heroes.
- 10:01Speaker 1: That's because they give a piece of your bill every
- 10:04Speaker 1: month to those causes. They have one hundred percent US
- 10:07Speaker 1: based customer service team that makes switching easy. So just
- 10:10Speaker 1: go to Patriotmobile dot com slash ferguson. It's Patriot Mobile
- 10:15Speaker 1: dot com slash ferguson, or you can call them eight
- 10:18Speaker 1: seven eight Patriot. That's eight seven eight Patriot. Get free
- 10:22Speaker 1: activation today with the offer code ferguson. Ask about their
- 10:25Speaker 1: coverage guarantee when you're on the phone with them. Get
- 10:28Speaker 1: the same dependable service and take a stand for your values.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Make the switch today Patriotmobile dot com slash ferguson or
- 10:35Speaker 1: eight seven eight Patriot. There's another aspect to this deal
- 10:40Speaker 1: that we also have to talk about, and that is, now,
- 10:44Speaker 1: how many more Americans are going to be taken hostage
- 10:47Speaker 1: because we just paid all of this money. Now, while
- 10:51Speaker 1: President Biden is being hailed as a hero for the
- 10:54Speaker 1: return of these Americans that have been imprisoned, and Iran
- 10:57Speaker 1: Republicans also on Capitol Hill are lashing out this deal saying, quote,
- 11:03Speaker 1: this is a hostage swap for six billion. That's what
- 11:06Speaker 1: represented Michael McCall, a Republican from Texas and chairman of
- 11:10Speaker 1: the House Foreign Relations Committee, said on Fox and He said, quote,
- 11:13Speaker 1: and guess where it's going to go. It's going to
- 11:15Speaker 1: go into terror proxy operations. He's absolutely right. Even Senator
- 11:21Speaker 1: Mitt Romney, who I rarely agree with, also characterized the
- 11:24Speaker 1: deal as a hostage swap, warning that the exchange could
- 11:28Speaker 1: lead to more kidnappings of American citizens. Quote The idea
- 11:32Speaker 1: basically paying to release in this effect a hostage is
- 11:35Speaker 1: a terrible idea, Romney said to The Hill newspaper. Republicans
- 11:40Speaker 1: are also lashing out at Biden over the deal as
- 11:43Speaker 1: a I the Democrat, is the number one threat to
- 11:46Speaker 1: national security. This is a hostage swap for six billion,
- 11:50Speaker 1: is what another Republican said. And former President Donald Trump,
- 11:55Speaker 1: the front runner in the twenty twenty four Republican primary,
- 11:58Speaker 1: criticized Biden with the deal was announced last week, saying quote,
- 12:02Speaker 1: can you believe that Crooked Joe Biden is giving six
- 12:05Speaker 1: billion to the terrorist regime in Iran? The money can
- 12:08Speaker 1: be used for terrorism all over the Middle East and
- 12:10Speaker 1: indeed the world. This incompetent fool, all capital letters is
- 12:15Speaker 1: absolutely destroying America. Trump wrote on True Social adding he
- 12:20Speaker 1: had the audacity to announce this terrible deal today. It
- 12:24Speaker 1: happened on September the eleventh. To pay for hostages will
- 12:28Speaker 1: lead to kidnapping, ransom, and blackmail against Americans across the globe.
- 12:35Speaker 1: Now I'm glad these Americans are coming back in general,
- 12:38Speaker 1: I really am. I want to make that clear. But
- 12:41Speaker 1: this idea that this is a good thing, it's not.
- 12:44Speaker 1: It's not a good thing for this country, and it's
- 12:46Speaker 1: certainly not a good thing for the world because now
- 12:49Speaker 1: Americans are worth even more. And what the Biden administration
- 12:53Speaker 1: is said is we, as Americans, okay, are willing to
- 12:58Speaker 1: pay you if you take Americans, and we're willing to
- 13:01Speaker 1: give you a lot of money. Let me also remind
- 13:04Speaker 1: you about the announcement of this happened on nine to eleven.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Why well, listen to what Scott Kirby had to say
- 13:11Speaker 1: about that.
- 13:12Speaker 2: John Kirby told me, essentially, the dates are a coincidence.
- 13:17Speaker 3: Not tied to nine to eleven, not tied to the
- 13:19Speaker 3: You and General Assembly, simply tied to the hard work
- 13:22Speaker 3: over months and months and months by diplomats to secure
- 13:26Speaker 3: this release.
- 13:28Speaker 1: You're telling me that nobody at the State Department, the
- 13:30Speaker 1: DoD or the White House looked at the calendar when
- 13:32Speaker 1: announcing that we're going to send six billion dollars to Iran,
- 13:36Speaker 1: the number one killer of Americans after nine to eleven
- 13:39Speaker 1: in Iraq and Afghanistan, who were making sure that there
- 13:43Speaker 1: was safe haven in safe harbor for terrorists to go
- 13:46Speaker 1: in and out of those countries. You're telling me that
- 13:49Speaker 1: you no one said, hey, we probably shouldn't give six
- 13:53Speaker 1: million dollars to Iran on the same day as nine
- 13:55Speaker 1: to eleven. To be clear, i Ran supports terrorism around
- 14:01Speaker 1: the world. Iran supports Hesblah, Iran supports Hamas, Iran supports
- 14:06Speaker 1: al Qaeda and ISIS. Iran supports the most extreme fighters
- 14:11Speaker 1: in the world. They have no problem with it. They
- 14:14Speaker 1: still to this day chant death to America. And you
- 14:20Speaker 1: just gave them back six billion dollars. Let's also remember that,
- 14:25Speaker 1: if you're forty or forty one or above, this is
- 14:28Speaker 1: the same country that held American hostages in our embassy
- 14:33Speaker 1: for four hundred and forty four days in our lifetime.
- 14:38Speaker 1: And so now we're sitting here seeing them six billion
- 14:42Speaker 1: dollars and Scott Kirby's like, oh, no, no, there was,
- 14:47Speaker 1: there was, There was not tied to nine to eleven.
- 14:49Speaker 1: It wasn't really. Scott Kirby was also on CNN and
- 14:54Speaker 1: had this to say about the quote takeaways from the day.
- 14:58Speaker 4: Finally, you represent, you speak for national security issues for
- 15:03Speaker 4: the White House, for this administration. How is US national
- 15:06Speaker 4: security better today because of this deal? And not worse off?
- 15:10Speaker 4: As I've heard many Republicans say.
- 15:12Speaker 3: First of all, what's really better off our five families?
- 15:17Speaker 3: So I think that's really important to remember number two.
- 15:20Speaker 3: As I said earlier, Well, we just executed more sanctions
- 15:23Speaker 3: on entities in Iran today, specifically for the offense of
- 15:27Speaker 3: wrongfully detaining Americans, And just in the last couple of weeks,
- 15:30Speaker 3: we've upped our military presence in the Gulf region. We
- 15:33Speaker 3: added some additional sanctions on Iran just a few days ago.
- 15:36Speaker 3: I mean, we are holding Iran to account, and we
- 15:39Speaker 3: are mindful of our national security interests in the region,
- 15:41Speaker 3: and we're doing everything we can, not just on the
- 15:43Speaker 3: economic space, but even in the military space, to protect
- 15:46Speaker 3: our troops, to protect our interests, to protect our allies
- 15:48Speaker 3: and partners in that part of the world. No one
- 15:50Speaker 3: should take away from today's events. Any idea that we
- 15:53Speaker 3: are somehow turning a blind eye to what Iran is
- 15:56Speaker 3: doing in the region or around the world.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Not at all. Quite the contrary.
- 16:00Speaker 4: We're seeing, though, as we just saw in that video
- 16:02Speaker 4: from Iran, are Americans on their way home and families
- 16:06Speaker 4: who are going to.
- 16:07Speaker 2: I love how they wrap that up right.
- 16:09Speaker 1: You notice how they're like, oh, well, what we're seeing
- 16:11Speaker 1: is americans coming home. You need to be happy about this.
- 16:14Speaker 1: You don't need to ask any questions. We're not turning
- 16:17Speaker 1: a blind eye to what's happening and what Iran is doing. Well,
- 16:20Speaker 1: then why did you send them six billion dollars? Because
- 16:24Speaker 1: if you're not turning a blind eye and you're looking
- 16:26Speaker 1: at what they're doing, you would know this is a
- 16:28Speaker 1: regime that you do not give six billion dollars too.
- 16:32Speaker 1: John Kirby on the Iran swap deal also to the
- 16:35Speaker 1: regime does not get their hands on the money.
- 16:37Speaker 2: That is a lie.
- 16:38Speaker 4: Listen, speaking of President you know we've talked about this
- 16:41Speaker 4: many times before the President that critics of this agreement
- 16:44Speaker 4: or any kind of negotiation in this way have of
- 16:47Speaker 4: what they're looking at. Because what Iran often wants is
- 16:50Speaker 4: it wants it's money. So you've got six billion dollars
- 16:53Speaker 4: of Iranian money that they now regain access to for
- 16:55Speaker 4: humanitarian purposes. What can the United States do if it
- 16:59Speaker 4: is seen that they're using this money not for food,
- 17:01Speaker 4: not for medicine, for bad reasons.
- 17:03Speaker 2: Lock it back down.
- 17:04Speaker 3: We can stop a transaction. It's important to remember, Kate,
- 17:07Speaker 3: that the regime doesn't get the money. That they can
- 17:11Speaker 3: request a withdrawal for humanitarian goods, agricultural products, medical supplies, food,
- 17:17Speaker 3: and then we will run a process through which those
- 17:20Speaker 3: goods are contracted for. The Iranians don't even get to
- 17:23Speaker 3: let the contracts. We'll make sure that the contracts are
- 17:25Speaker 3: let with vendors that we know we can trust, and
- 17:27Speaker 3: then that material will be delivered to the Iranian people.
- 17:30Speaker 3: The Iranian regime does not get hands on this money.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Now here's the problem. Iran says they can do whatever
- 17:37Speaker 1: they want to do. The Iranian president said, they're going
- 17:39Speaker 1: to do whatever they want to do. And here's the
- 17:41Speaker 1: other thing. If you get let's just say a big
- 17:46Speaker 1: you know, hey, we want to spend a billion dollars
- 17:48Speaker 1: on X. Well, once it gets into the hands of
- 17:51Speaker 1: the Iranian I'm sure they could probably already have a
- 17:53Speaker 1: buyer for it and sell it and get their money
- 17:55Speaker 1: that way. You don't think Iran's going to call other
- 17:58Speaker 1: countries and other broke around them and say, hey, what
- 18:01Speaker 1: do you need that is in these categories and we'll
- 18:04Speaker 1: give you ten percent off so that we get you know,
- 18:07Speaker 1: nine hundred ninety nine million, you know, and instead of
- 18:10Speaker 1: the one billion in our bank accounts. If this is
- 18:13Speaker 1: to believe, by the way, I don't believe that the
- 18:15Speaker 1: US government's not going to get screwed on this one.
- 18:17Speaker 1: I think the US government is going to always get
- 18:19Speaker 1: screwed when you're dealing with a terrorist organization. They keep saying, oh,
- 18:22Speaker 1: this is a great thing, and the Uranian regime will
- 18:25Speaker 1: never get their hands on the money. Let's be very
- 18:27Speaker 1: clear about this, They absolutely will. Democratic Representative Crow, by
- 18:32Speaker 1: the way, said the prisoner swap deal with Iran has
- 18:35Speaker 1: actually created an additional quote oversight on the six billion, not less.
- 18:39Speaker 2: This is the way they're going to spend this. I
- 18:41Speaker 2: want you to be ready for it.
- 18:43Speaker 5: All right, We have breaking news right now at half
- 18:46Speaker 5: past the hour, five Americans have been freed in a
- 18:49Speaker 5: prisoner swap between the US and Iran. A Katari plane
- 18:53Speaker 5: carrying them took them off took off from Tehran not
- 18:57Speaker 5: too long ago. According to a senior dip met in
- 19:00Speaker 5: the region with knowledge of the prisoner exchange, we're told
- 19:04Speaker 5: the freed prisoners are accompanied by two of their relatives
- 19:09Speaker 5: as well as the Katari ambassador to Iran. They are
- 19:12Speaker 5: reportedly in good health, but we'll get quick medical checks
- 19:17Speaker 5: before they head to America. This after years of negotiations
- 19:23Speaker 5: to bring the detainees home. In exchange for the imprisoned Americans,
- 19:27Speaker 5: Tehran will gain access to about six billion dollars in
- 19:32Speaker 5: frozen funds. For more now on this and much more.
- 19:36Speaker 5: Joining US now, Democratic Member of the House Armed Services Committee,
- 19:39Speaker 5: Congressman Jason Growe of Colorado. He's a US Army veteran
- 19:43Speaker 5: who served our country in both Iraq and Afghanistan. So,
- 19:48Speaker 5: from your many perspective in including the committees that you
- 19:52Speaker 5: said on, what do you make of this prisoner swap
- 19:55Speaker 5: from what we know so far?
- 19:57Speaker 2: Well, good morning.
- 19:58Speaker 6: I mean, this prisoner swap is actually a good deal
- 20:01Speaker 6: for the United States. Number One, we don't leave our
- 20:03Speaker 6: people behind.
- 20:04Speaker 2: We just don't.
- 20:05Speaker 6: Every administration has done swaps like this.
- 20:08Speaker 1: But I love this. He's like, we don't leave our
- 20:10Speaker 1: people behind. Well you have for a while. Number one,
- 20:13Speaker 1: that's not true. We still have Americans left behind in Russia.
- 20:17Speaker 1: You guys did a prisoner swap recently in Russia, and
- 20:19Speaker 1: you decide a lesbian basketball player was more important than
- 20:23Speaker 1: an American citizen who is just a random white dude there.
- 20:26Speaker 1: So don't tell me we don't leave Americans behind. Second
- 20:29Speaker 1: thing is you said there's president here, then people do
- 20:31Speaker 1: this all the time, right like that, Oh, we do
- 20:33Speaker 1: this all the time. Give me another example of where
- 20:36Speaker 1: an American has been paid for at more than a
- 20:40Speaker 1: billion dollars in a prisoner swap. You will not find it.
- 20:44Speaker 1: And the reason why is because it doesn't happen. It's
- 20:49Speaker 1: never happened.
- 20:51Speaker 6: Just to make sure we're getting US citizens out of Iran,
- 20:55Speaker 6: Iran does this. They take hostages and they try to
- 20:57Speaker 6: gain leverage. So you know, every American should know don't
- 21:00Speaker 6: travel to Iran because you are at risk of being
- 21:02Speaker 6: taken hostage. But there's also we have to correct a
- 21:05Speaker 6: misunderstanding here. These funds were not frozen funds. The United
- 21:09Speaker 6: States is not making this money available. This money came
- 21:12Speaker 6: from a fund that the prior administration that the Trump
- 21:15Speaker 6: administration negotiated with several countries that allowed them to purchase
- 21:19Speaker 6: Iranian oil in exchange for medical supplies in food and
- 21:23Speaker 6: medicine South Korea, and this instance did that they purchased
- 21:27Speaker 6: some oil and that money was allocated to food, medicine,
- 21:32Speaker 6: and medical supplies. This money could be spent or could
- 21:35Speaker 6: be sent to Iran. Today the South Koreans could do that.
- 21:39Speaker 6: We were able to negotiate additional restrictions on top of
- 21:42Speaker 6: the restrictions already in place for this money, additional restrictions
- 21:45Speaker 6: and oversight through the Treasury Department to make sure this
- 21:48Speaker 6: money is only being spent for those purposes. So this
- 21:51Speaker 6: deal actually created additional oversight on that money, not less.
- 21:55Speaker 1: So Congress, by the way, this is another part of
- 21:58Speaker 1: this lie here. Oh, it's more oversight, not less. There's
- 22:03Speaker 1: no because when they couldn't have the money, you didn't
- 22:06Speaker 1: need this type of oversight. The reason why you're having
- 22:09Speaker 1: to make this up now is because they have access
- 22:11Speaker 1: to the money. So you're still misleading at best, lying
- 22:16Speaker 1: in reality to the American people and to the world.
- 22:20Speaker 1: And everybody knows that Iran. The President of Ran said
- 22:23Speaker 1: we will use this money however we want. They know
- 22:27Speaker 1: how to lie, they know they know how to cheat,
- 22:31Speaker 1: they know how to steal. They're going to know how
- 22:34Speaker 1: to manipulate the system. And I promise you this money
- 22:37Speaker 1: is going to be used as six billion dollars is
- 22:39Speaker 1: not going to be used for humanitarian reasons all the time.
- 22:43Speaker 1: Some of it might sure to check a box. They
- 22:45Speaker 1: may say, oh, look what we did with this amount
- 22:47Speaker 1: of money. See everything's good, there's our cover. Meanwhile, they
- 22:50Speaker 1: funnel the money. They also know how to sell goods.
- 22:53Speaker 1: Iran's not stupid. If you can take six billion, hypothetically
- 22:58Speaker 1: and turn into five billion of cash by buying six
- 23:01Speaker 1: billion and a product that somebody else wants and they
- 23:03Speaker 1: get a discount, that's a good deal because you still
- 23:05Speaker 1: got your hands on five billion dollars that you can
- 23:08Speaker 1: use however the hell you want to. Why would we
- 23:11Speaker 1: ever trust the Iranians with any of this money, knowing
- 23:14Speaker 1: what they do. You know, if you're a man or
- 23:17Speaker 1: a woman that served this country and you were blown
- 23:20Speaker 1: up by a roadside bomb, the probability that roadside bomb
- 23:23Speaker 1: came through Iran is about ninety plus percent based on
- 23:27Speaker 1: the latest data that we have. We know that many
- 23:31Speaker 1: of the jihadis used Iran as as a gate to
- 23:36Speaker 1: go in and out and back to protection, into a
- 23:39Speaker 1: protected area when they need to rest. We saw that
- 23:42Speaker 1: there were the Toyota trucks that would be going through
- 23:45Speaker 1: the desert. They would do their hits and where would
- 23:47Speaker 1: they flee to. They would flee to Iran. We have
- 23:49Speaker 1: the drone video of them crossing the border into Iran.
- 23:53Speaker 1: A Ran was harboring terrists for the entire time that
- 23:55Speaker 1: we were in Iraq and Afghanistan. And when the terrorists
- 23:58Speaker 1: knew they need to fight America, they need to bring
- 24:00Speaker 1: in new soldiers after we had invaded, where did they go.
- 24:03Speaker 1: They went to I Ran first and they said we
- 24:06Speaker 1: need your help, and Iran said sure. And that's who
- 24:09Speaker 1: he just gave all of this money too. And the
- 24:13Speaker 1: White House wants you to believe that this is no
- 24:16Speaker 1: big deal. Now, I understand why they did this deal,
- 24:18Speaker 1: and I want you to understand why they've done this deal.
- 24:21Speaker 2: They've got some problems right now.
- 24:23Speaker 1: Okay, you have the Biden impeachment inquiry, where the facts
- 24:26Speaker 1: and the emails and the suspicious astivity reports and the
- 24:29Speaker 1: whistleblowers and the meetings and the phone calls are so damning.
- 24:32Speaker 2: The White House needed a victory. Okay.
- 24:35Speaker 1: You also have the United Auto Workers that are fighting
- 24:38Speaker 1: for the the they say, the American dream, which is
- 24:42Speaker 1: work hard and play by the rules. And now they're
- 24:45Speaker 1: being squeezed out right. The Democrats were supposed to protect them.
- 24:50Speaker 1: They have not done that. Hakeem Jefferies was on TV
- 24:54Speaker 1: talking about this as the as this this has really happened.
- 24:57Speaker 1: The UAW fight is now happening in this that's happening,
- 25:01Speaker 1: and how these people are going to be have a job.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Democrats are to blame for this because they promised they
- 25:05Speaker 1: were going to get deals done that they didn't get
- 25:06Speaker 1: done if the UAW actually voted for them. This is
- 25:11Speaker 1: one of the promises in Michigan where the governor there, Whitmer,
- 25:14Speaker 1: was saying, vote for me again.
- 25:15Speaker 2: I'll hook you guys up. She lied to them.
- 25:18Speaker 7: Obviously.
- 25:19Speaker 2: This is happening against the backdrop.
- 25:20Speaker 7: Of the UAW strike.
- 25:22Speaker 2: Are you going to Detroit? Are you with the auto
- 25:25Speaker 2: workers on this?
- 25:27Speaker 7: I'll be heading to Detroit a little later on today,
- 25:29Speaker 7: looking forward to standing and solidarity with the United Auto
- 25:33Speaker 7: Workers who are fighting for the fundamental American dream, which
- 25:38Speaker 7: is quite simple. If you work hard and play by
- 25:41Speaker 7: the rules, you should be able to provide a comfortable
- 25:44Speaker 7: living for yourself, for your family, educate your children, purchase
- 25:49Speaker 7: a home, and one day retire with grace and dignity.
- 25:53Speaker 7: That's the principle upon which the United Auto Workers are
- 25:57Speaker 7: standing and I stand with them. Long you think this
- 26:00Speaker 7: is going to drag on, well, I think it's all
- 26:02Speaker 7: of our hope that it will end sooner rather than later.
- 26:06Speaker 7: But record profits have been generated, Incredible economic prosperity has
- 26:12Speaker 7: been generated for the corporations upon whom the UAW works with,
- 26:17Speaker 7: and so I think it's only fair that everyone share
- 26:22Speaker 7: in those record profits, in the prosperity that has been created.
- 26:26Speaker 7: That's a fundamental American principle. That's why we were able
- 26:29Speaker 7: to build in the aftermath of World War II the
- 26:32Speaker 7: great American middle class, and we need to keep that
- 26:35Speaker 7: going for everyone.
- 26:38Speaker 1: Now you hear him there talking about this, and let
- 26:40Speaker 1: me tell you, the auto workers are furious with Democrats
- 26:43Speaker 1: because everything that they promised them they lied to them about,
- 26:46Speaker 1: they played them, and now they understand that it was
- 26:52Speaker 1: a lie on a level that was I mean, it
- 26:56Speaker 1: was a fraud.
- 26:57Speaker 2: It was a straight up massive fraud.
- 27:00Speaker 1: They promised the UAW that if you voted for Democrats,
- 27:03Speaker 1: the Democrats were going to take care of you and
- 27:05Speaker 1: get you a good deal. And that didn't happen. Didn't happen, folks,
- 27:10Speaker 1: And the reason why it didn't happen was also very clear,
- 27:14Speaker 1: because they'll always lie to you to get your vote.
- 27:17Speaker 1: They don't give a crap. And so you put these
- 27:21Speaker 1: stories together. You have the economy that's bad. You have
- 27:25Speaker 1: high unemployment rates that we're starting to see tick up.
- 27:29Speaker 1: You see what's going on Wall Street. You see what's
- 27:30Speaker 1: happening with interest rates of twenty one year high on homes.
- 27:34Speaker 1: You see the auto workers fighting back now and now
- 27:36Speaker 1: they're on this strike that could take quite some time.
- 27:39Speaker 1: You have this hostage crisis where they're trying to spend
- 27:41Speaker 1: this to say this is a great day for America,
- 27:43Speaker 1: even though it puts more American lives at risk around
- 27:45Speaker 1: the world. Right, the six billion dollars and what does
- 27:50Speaker 1: this all come back down to comes back down to
- 27:53Speaker 1: this issue. The President of the United States of America
- 27:56Speaker 1: is looking for a distraction because the biggest issues, the
- 28:01Speaker 1: most concerning issues about impeachment are coming up. This boils
- 28:06Speaker 1: down to a present that desperately needs a change.
- 28:10Speaker 2: Look it.
- 28:11Speaker 1: By the way, this and I'm going to talk about
- 28:12Speaker 1: this more tomorrow, I promise you. But Hunter Biden actually
- 28:16Speaker 1: sue is suing the IRS. He sues the IRS. He
- 28:20Speaker 1: claims the wistle blower agents quote targeted and sought to
- 28:23Speaker 1: embarrass him by discussing his tax returns. He's now suing
- 28:27Speaker 1: like they did something wrong. He filed a lawsuit against
- 28:31Speaker 1: the IRS. Legal records are now showing, and the lawsuit
- 28:34Speaker 1: alleges the agents targeted and sought to embarrass him by
- 28:37Speaker 1: discussing his tax returns. The IRS, he said, did not
- 28:40Speaker 1: create safeguards to make sure his details were kept confidential.
- 28:45Speaker 1: Hunter Biden, the President's son, filed this lawsuit against the
- 28:49Speaker 1: Internal Revenue Service. This after the special prosecutor allowed for
- 28:56Speaker 1: the statue of limitations to run out on the most
- 28:58Speaker 1: serious tax crimes, okay, the most serious tax crimes against
- 29:05Speaker 1: Hunter Biden.
- 29:06Speaker 2: They did that on purpose.
- 29:09Speaker 1: David Weiss allowed the statue limitations on purpose to expire.
- 29:14Speaker 1: And what do we get in response now from the
- 29:16Speaker 1: Biden crime family. They're suing the IRS. What's even more
- 29:22Speaker 1: shocking than that is there's a chance nowadays, based on
- 29:26Speaker 1: what I've seen, that this could actually happen. There's a
- 29:30Speaker 1: real chance that this could actually happen, that they could
- 29:34Speaker 1: win a lawsuit because of what I just described. Don't
- 29:39Speaker 1: forget to share this podcast with your family and friends.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Will keep you updated on all of this with the
- 29:43Speaker 1: Biden crime family, and we will see you back here
- 29:46Speaker 1: tomorrow
