- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome to the special Snow but get in version of
- 0:04Speaker 1: verdict with Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with you. And there's
- 0:07Speaker 1: a lot of you that are listening that I know
- 0:08Speaker 1: are dealing with the insanity of the freezing rain and
- 0:11Speaker 1: the snow. I hope you're enjoying it with your kids,
- 0:14Speaker 1: making some memories. But it's a lot going on center.
- 0:17Speaker 1: So for everybody out there that is listening, God bless us,
- 0:20Speaker 1: stay warm.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Well, stay warm, and stay safe. There are power outages
- 0:24Speaker 2: across the country. There is snow and ice across about
- 0:28Speaker 2: half of the country. The state of Texas is largely
- 0:30Speaker 2: engulfed in the winter storm. There's snow and ice up north.
- 0:34Speaker 2: You and I Ben are both in Houston right now.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Houston's still in the thirties, so we haven't had snow
- 0:39Speaker 2: or ice. Supposed to drop to the twenties tonight, and look,
- 0:44Speaker 2: my counsel to everyone is stay safe. If you don't
- 0:46Speaker 2: need to be on icy roads, don't go out on
- 0:48Speaker 2: icy roads. Take some time and be home with the kids.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Keep your family safe. It's a good excuse to do
- 0:54Speaker 2: something with your kids, do something with your wife or
- 0:57Speaker 2: your husband, and just don't take any unnecessary travel. Right now,
- 1:03Speaker 2: stay safe and and make sure you keep your family safe.
- 1:07Speaker 1: But by the way, senter, I have you played this
- 1:09Speaker 1: game called Majhon yet?
- 1:11Speaker 3: Do I look like a ninety year old woman?
- 1:13Speaker 1: Okay, this is what happened. See, you come up with
- 1:17Speaker 1: this idea, spend time with your family, play games, and
- 1:20Speaker 1: I got suckered into my first ever game in maj
- 1:22Speaker 1: on I. I literally wanted to beat my head against
- 1:24Speaker 1: the against So if if it's offered to you, run
- 1:27Speaker 1: is what I'm trying to tell you. I barely made
- 1:29Speaker 1: it through a game. I just it was. It was
- 1:32Speaker 1: like watching paint dry, but more painful.
- 1:34Speaker 2: So so Ben, I'm actually male, so so so. No,
- 1:38Speaker 2: I have not played that game.
- 1:40Speaker 1: I told you, I got suckered into it. This is
- 1:42Speaker 1: what happens. It's like, oh, let's play games.
- 1:45Speaker 2: I did this week play a game called poker. You
- 1:48Speaker 2: may have heard of it. It's something that men do
- 1:50Speaker 2: when they gather.
- 1:51Speaker 1: I also got in trouble. This is what happens. Okay,
- 1:54Speaker 1: I'm glad you brought that up. I got in trouble
- 1:56Speaker 1: for teaching my twins or six of my nine year
- 1:58Speaker 1: old how to play Texas, all them with chips. I
- 2:00Speaker 1: was like, we're not playing for money, We're just playing
- 2:02Speaker 1: for chips. I got in trouble therefore I got punished
- 2:04Speaker 1: with maj on, so it's full circle. I'm glad that
- 2:07Speaker 1: you figured that out there.
- 2:08Speaker 3: You know that's you're failing as a father.
- 2:11Speaker 1: I literally have a purplip right here. Do you see
- 2:13Speaker 1: this there?
- 2:13Speaker 3: It is?
- 2:14Speaker 2: Yeah, it's if if you don't teach your boys to
- 2:17Speaker 2: play poker, you are failing as a father.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Thank you. I'm going to quote you on that was
- 2:22Speaker 1: my rebuttal later on.
- 2:24Speaker 2: I'm not sure that will get you out of any
- 2:26Speaker 2: trouble at all.
- 2:28Speaker 1: All I know is whoever made majoh I want to
- 2:30Speaker 1: get in a bar fight with him. I just want
- 2:31Speaker 1: to be on the record for that. It may be
- 2:33Speaker 1: the dumbest game I've ever played. Come at me on
- 2:35Speaker 1: the comments.
- 2:36Speaker 2: I think it's like a two thousand year old Chinese woman, Yeah.
- 2:40Speaker 1: I believe, And if I found her, it may be
- 2:42Speaker 1: the first I'd ever even think about hitting a woman.
- 2:44Speaker 1: I just want to That's how much I hate this game.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Like I just I'll be on the record. I'm fine
- 2:48Speaker 1: with that. You can come at me in the comments section.
- 2:50Speaker 2: We're just saying, if the two thousand year old Chinese
- 2:53Speaker 2: woman happens to be alive, I'm not sure you want
- 2:55Speaker 2: to fight her because there's sure zombie actually going on.
- 2:57Speaker 1: That's true, I'll be throwing poker chips at her. All right,
- 3:00Speaker 1: we got a lot to talk about on today's show.
- 3:03Speaker 1: And you've been warned men out there about Majah. Don't
- 3:05Speaker 1: take the bait. I don't care how cold it is,
- 3:07Speaker 1: or if how long the power is off, or how
- 3:09Speaker 1: close the maajon table is the fireplace. Don't take the bait.
- 3:13Speaker 1: I want to take a quick moment and talk to
- 3:14Speaker 1: you about an incredible organization and it is called Compassion International,
- 3:19Speaker 1: and how you can get involved. I want you to
- 3:22Speaker 1: just pause what you're doing for the next sixty seconds,
- 3:25Speaker 1: and I want you to imagine Lucy, a seven year old.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Her stomach often aches with hunger, her small hands instead
- 3:32Speaker 1: of holding crayons, no, only the struggle of survival on
- 3:36Speaker 1: dusty streets. School is a distant dream, medical care forgotten hope.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Lucy's potential is overshadowed, her future is dim. But what
- 3:46Speaker 1: if someone stepped in? What if there was a way
- 3:48Speaker 1: to ignite hope for children? Just like Lucy. Well there is,
- 3:52Speaker 1: and that is with Compassion International Partners and the local
- 3:56Speaker 1: churches that provide children holistic support more than just food.
- 4:01Speaker 1: They receive critical medical care, life changing education, vital skills training,
- 4:07Speaker 1: and spiritual development, all in Jesus's name. And you can
- 4:11Speaker 1: empower a child just like Lucy to break free from poverty.
- 4:15Speaker 1: I want you to do what I've done and sponsor
- 4:18Speaker 1: a child today. You can visit Compassion dot com. That's
- 4:22Speaker 1: Compassion dot com. We've got a lot. Minneapolis. We got
- 4:27Speaker 1: to talk about Center and the chaos there. We also
- 4:30Speaker 1: have a government shutdown that's looming apparently over this this
- 4:33Speaker 1: issue with ice. Let's go through that real quick.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Yeah, let's let's start with with Minneapolis. And listen, everyone
- 4:40Speaker 2: who has anything resembling a conscience, it is horrified by
- 4:44Speaker 2: what's happening in Minneapolis. And and what I want to
- 4:48Speaker 2: call on everyone to do is just just just ratchet
- 4:51Speaker 2: things down. Ratchet the rhetoric down, ratchet the anger down.
- 4:56Speaker 2: You know, we are a nation and we're supposed to
- 4:59Speaker 2: be one need and right now we're seeing we're seeing
- 5:03Speaker 2: a confrontation. Now, look, this is an organized confrontation. This
- 5:07Speaker 2: is a deliberate confrontation. We're going to talk about that,
- 5:10Speaker 2: but I want to start with the rhetoric that politicians
- 5:13Speaker 2: are using on both sides, and the rhetoric frankly that
- 5:16Speaker 2: that people are using.
- 5:18Speaker 3: Just people on both sides on X.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Are using where where on one side they view every
- 5:24Speaker 2: shooting as an absolute tragedy, as as evidence that that
- 5:29Speaker 2: that that America has become Nazi Germany. On the other side,
- 5:34Speaker 2: you see some people that that that that seem pretty
- 5:36Speaker 2: eager to celebrate a violent and lethal confrontation with law enforcement.
- 5:43Speaker 2: And listen, there are lethal confrontations with law enforcement.
- 5:47Speaker 3: They happen.
- 5:48Speaker 2: But anytime you have an American who is killed in
- 5:51Speaker 2: a confrontation with law enforcement, it is tragic that a
- 5:54Speaker 2: life is lost.
- 5:55Speaker 3: Particularly in this instance.
- 5:57Speaker 2: We now have two people, uh to Americans who've been
- 6:00Speaker 2: killed in confrontations with law enforcement, who from all appearances,
- 6:05Speaker 2: are not violent criminals. They don't have long criminal records,
- 6:08Speaker 2: or at least if they do, we don't know them
- 6:10Speaker 2: right now. There's no indication that they do. And any
- 6:13Speaker 2: time you have an encounter gone wrong that results in
- 6:18Speaker 2: a fatality, there is cause for mourning.
- 6:21Speaker 3: There is cause for grief.
- 6:24Speaker 2: You know that was somebody's mother, that was somebody's brother
- 6:28Speaker 2: or sister or father, and and you know that's a tragedy.
- 6:33Speaker 3: At the same time, we can.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Ask what has caused these shootings, what has caused these
- 6:40Speaker 2: violent encounters. I'll give you an amazing stat which which
- 6:43Speaker 2: is in Texas, where you and I both live, there
- 6:46Speaker 2: have been anywhere from six times to ten times as
- 6:50Speaker 2: many ICE arrests in Texas as there have been in Minnesota.
- 6:55Speaker 2: The numbers vary, but according to twenty twenty six reports,
- 7:00Speaker 2: Texas has seen approximately sixty thousand arrests ICE arrests compared
- 7:06Speaker 2: to approximately ten thousand in Minnesota. That's one estimate that
- 7:09Speaker 2: there are numbers that vary, but we're not seeing violent
- 7:14Speaker 2: confrontations with ICE in Texas, and I think there are
- 7:18Speaker 2: a couple of reasons for that. One, the state and
- 7:21Speaker 2: local officials are cooperating.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Yep.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Local police are working with the federal Immigration enforcement agents.
- 7:30Speaker 2: In Minnesota, the governor, the mayor, the local officials have
- 7:35Speaker 2: decided to well, to use Tim Waltz's word, go to
- 7:40Speaker 2: war with the federal wars.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Civil war is what they're describing. And you have that
- 7:44Speaker 1: governor there over his fence like yelling and encouraging people
- 7:47Speaker 1: to go after ice.
- 7:50Speaker 2: You have Democrat politicians who are behaving with reckless irresponsibility,
- 7:57Speaker 2: urging citizens go out find eye, confront ice, get in
- 8:01Speaker 2: their way, frustrate them, block them from from from arresting
- 8:06Speaker 2: violent criminals, from arresting murderers, from arresting gang bangers, from
- 8:09Speaker 2: arresting child molesters, and and and you see those efforts
- 8:16Speaker 2: that that really the flames being fanned as you use
- 8:20Speaker 2: rhetoric calling federal law enforcement officers Nazis or klansmen or Gestapo, Well,
- 8:26Speaker 2: that that that leads to the temperature going up and
- 8:29Speaker 2: up and up. I'll say, secondly, just a word of
- 8:34Speaker 2: advice to anyone who is in an interaction with law enforcement,
- 8:41Speaker 2: which is, don't do anything on your own side to escalate.
- 8:44Speaker 2: If you are driving a vehicle, an SUV, and you
- 8:48Speaker 2: drive that vehicle directly into a law enforcement agent, the
- 8:51Speaker 2: odds are quite significant you will be met with lethal force.
- 8:54Speaker 2: That's true in Minnesota, it's true in both places across
- 8:56Speaker 2: the country.
- 8:57Speaker 3: That that that.
- 8:59Speaker 2: If you respond to law enforcement with violence, you are
- 9:02Speaker 2: risking your own safety in your own life. Likewise, this
- 9:05Speaker 2: latest shooting look as we sit here today, we don't
- 9:09Speaker 2: know all the facts, and one of the things I
- 9:11Speaker 2: would urge people to do is not to just leap
- 9:13Speaker 2: to conclusions. Anytime you have an off turn involved shooting,
- 9:17Speaker 2: there's always an investigation. That is standard practice in just
- 9:21Speaker 2: about any context, and so there'll be an investigation here.
- 9:25Speaker 2: You and I have both seen a number of the videos.
- 9:27Speaker 2: It is hard to tell from the videos exactly what happened.
- 9:30Speaker 2: There's a lot of day after quarterbacking going for frame
- 9:35Speaker 2: by frame. What I can tell you is this, we
- 9:38Speaker 2: know that the individual who lost his life came to
- 9:41Speaker 2: the protest. He came to the protest, as has been
- 9:43Speaker 2: reported multiple times, with a firearm with multiple magazines of ammunition,
- 9:50Speaker 2: and there was a violent confrontation that ultimately resulted in
- 9:54Speaker 2: his being shot and killed. What exactly transpired, I'm going
- 9:58Speaker 2: to wait for the investigation to figure that out. There
- 10:02Speaker 2: are basic rules that govern when officers, either police or
- 10:07Speaker 2: federal law enforcement officers, when they can permissively use lethal force.
- 10:12Speaker 2: They can use lethal force if they reasonably believe that
- 10:17Speaker 2: their safety is in danger or the safety of others
- 10:21Speaker 2: are in danger, and so they can use lethal force
- 10:24Speaker 2: if in the instance of the first woman who was killed.
- 10:29Speaker 2: We saw it, and it took a couple of days
- 10:30Speaker 2: for it to come out. The video of the ice
- 10:34Speaker 2: agent from his camera, and she clearly drives the vehicle
- 10:38Speaker 2: straight into him and hits him, and the ice agent
- 10:41Speaker 2: ended up going to the hospital with internal injuries. If
- 10:44Speaker 2: you actually run over a law enforcement officer, that that
- 10:49Speaker 2: is a justifiable use of lethal force. With respect to
- 10:53Speaker 2: the most recent incident, it will depend upon the extent
- 10:57Speaker 2: to which the agents reasonably believed that the individual posed
- 11:04Speaker 2: a threat to them and he had a gun. There
- 11:07Speaker 2: was confusion, confusion at the time, and so there needs
- 11:11Speaker 2: to be an investigation.
- 11:12Speaker 3: Here's what they can't do.
- 11:13Speaker 2: What they can't do is if a suspect is fleeing
- 11:16Speaker 2: and by the way, fleeing even if they committed a crime.
- 11:18Speaker 2: There's a classic example of someone steals a television and
- 11:21Speaker 2: they're running away with the television. An officer is not
- 11:25Speaker 2: allowed to shoot someone in the back, even as if.
- 11:27Speaker 3: They're committing a crime.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Exactly, the Supreme Court has ruled that you cannot use
- 11:32Speaker 2: that lethal force to shoot someone in the back when
- 11:34Speaker 2: they're fleeing a crime. So whether it is a good
- 11:38Speaker 2: shoot or a bad shoot turns on the question of
- 11:42Speaker 2: did the officers reasonably believe that that that the individual
- 11:46Speaker 2: posed a serious threat to themselves or to others. They
- 11:50Speaker 2: can intervene if if someone is getting ready to hurt
- 11:53Speaker 2: somebody else, they can also use legal lethal force to
- 11:56Speaker 2: prevent that. I'll say this also, though that question will
- 11:59Speaker 2: take some time and an investigation to resolve. But the
- 12:02Speaker 2: individual who was shot, he could have avoided that risk altogether.
- 12:07Speaker 1: All that he could have.
- 12:07Speaker 3: Avoided Number one.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Number one, he could have chosen not to go to
- 12:12Speaker 2: the protest. That's one choice. Now you might say, well,
- 12:14Speaker 2: he feels passionately that he disagrees with what Ice is
- 12:18Speaker 2: doing and he wants to exercise his First Amendment rights. Okay,
- 12:21Speaker 2: those are protected. He has that right. Secondly, he could
- 12:25Speaker 2: have chosen to go there and not bring a firearm. Now,
- 12:29Speaker 2: lots of folks on x are going back and forth
- 12:32Speaker 2: saying the Second Amendment, you got a right to bring
- 12:34Speaker 2: your gun, and you're right, you do.
- 12:35Speaker 3: You do have a right to bring your gun.
- 12:37Speaker 2: That being said, if you are going into an environment
- 12:40Speaker 2: where there is a reasonable possibility that you will get
- 12:43Speaker 2: at a violent confrontation with law enforcement. My advice to everyone,
- 12:47Speaker 2: leave your damn gun home. If you are anticipating violent
- 12:51Speaker 2: confrontation with law enforcement, you're having a gun.
- 12:55Speaker 1: If you're different to get arrested, if you're wanting to
- 12:57Speaker 1: get a mug shot that day, and there's some protests
- 12:59Speaker 1: that got there and I want to get arrested, it's
- 13:01Speaker 1: and if you're going to fight the police, there's two
- 13:04Speaker 1: by the way, there's two different types of being arrested.
- 13:06Speaker 1: You go back to civil rights, and there was and
- 13:08Speaker 1: Martin Luther King was a perfect example of this. Many
- 13:11Speaker 1: times they knew they were going to be arrested, but
- 13:13Speaker 1: they did in a very peaceful manner. Fighting police officers
- 13:16Speaker 1: while having a firearm on you is always stupid. You're
- 13:19Speaker 1: putting your life at risk. As my dad said, we
- 13:21Speaker 1: were talking about this, and he's obviously life and law enforcement.
- 13:24Speaker 1: I carry a gun. When I'm pulled over. The first
- 13:27Speaker 1: thing I do is I tell that police officer I
- 13:29Speaker 1: have a gun. Absolute you to know it. What do
- 13:31Speaker 1: you want me to do? I can either take it off,
- 13:33Speaker 1: I can put on the fourboard. It's on my whole shirt,
- 13:35Speaker 1: you know, on my waist whatever. But you don't you
- 13:39Speaker 1: have a right to carry a gun, and I think
- 13:40Speaker 1: this is one of those things. I think it's important
- 13:42Speaker 1: we make it clear. I'm in favor of people carrying
- 13:45Speaker 1: a gun you are as well. What I'm not in
- 13:47Speaker 1: favor of is saying that carrying a gun while fighting
- 13:50Speaker 1: a cop is somehow protected as part of your Second Amendment.
- 13:54Speaker 1: That is not how it works. And there's too many
- 13:57Speaker 1: people out there that like, well, so now you guys
- 13:59Speaker 1: are saying you're not in favor the Secondment. Now I'm
- 14:01Speaker 1: in favor of the Secondmendment. I'm also in favor of
- 14:03Speaker 1: you not fighting law enforcement while having a gun on
- 14:05Speaker 1: your person and putting their lives at risk, because you're
- 14:08Speaker 1: putting their lives at risk and your own life at risk.
- 14:10Speaker 1: I just want to get that off my chest because
- 14:12Speaker 1: I've been seeing these internet warriors and they drive me insane.
- 14:15Speaker 2: Yeah, and look, just because you have a right to
- 14:17Speaker 2: do something doesn't mean that doing it in those circumstances
- 14:21Speaker 2: isn't stupid.
- 14:23Speaker 3: Yes, if you.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Are anticipating getting in a violent confrontation with police officers,
- 14:27Speaker 2: by the way, that's stupid in and of itself. You
- 14:29Speaker 2: should not get in a violent confrontation with police officers.
- 14:32Speaker 2: But if you are entering in an environment where you
- 14:36Speaker 2: see that as a reasonable possibility. If you have an
- 14:40Speaker 2: IQ that breaks room temperature, any firearm you have, leave
- 14:44Speaker 2: it at home. Why Because in a violent confrontation with
- 14:48Speaker 2: law enforcement, if you have a firearm, the odds of
- 14:52Speaker 2: that confrontation escalating rise dramatically. Look, police officers don't know
- 14:58Speaker 2: if you intend to use that firearm uh to to
- 15:02Speaker 2: commit harm, to harm others, or to harm them. We
- 15:04Speaker 2: are seeing sadly leftists targeting ice agents for murder. And
- 15:09Speaker 2: and if you have that firearm and you're engaged in violence,
- 15:13Speaker 2: the agent's perception of the physical threat to them is
- 15:17Speaker 2: understandably much much higher.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Yep.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Had that individual left his gun at home, he almost
- 15:23Speaker 2: certainly would be alive today. And Third, I'd say, don't
- 15:28Speaker 2: engage in a violent confrontation with law enforcement. Don't and
- 15:31Speaker 2: and and listen many of the I.
- 15:33Speaker 1: Wish the governor Waltz would also say the same thing
- 15:35Speaker 1: you're saying right now. I wish the mayor would say
- 15:37Speaker 1: the same thing as well, because they're out there basically
- 15:39Speaker 1: saying they're not going to risk their lives. They're wanting
- 15:42Speaker 1: people to hire people and and and to encourage others
- 15:45Speaker 1: to show up and and and basically go out there
- 15:47Speaker 1: and risk their lives. They're going to stay in their mansions.
- 15:50Speaker 1: They're going to stay back in their billion dollar yachts
- 15:53Speaker 1: writing these checks to these protesters and follow the money.
- 15:56Speaker 1: But you've got a governor and a mayor there that
- 15:58Speaker 1: are that are deliberately, i would say, putting their citizens'
- 16:01Speaker 1: lives at risk and encouraging it. They're not pulling back.
- 16:04Speaker 1: After we saw the last lady that was shot when
- 16:06Speaker 1: she was running over an ICE agent with a two
- 16:08Speaker 1: ton car, They've encouraged more of that, which I also
- 16:12Speaker 1: think is very sick for them as an elected official.
- 16:15Speaker 2: It is reckless and it is irresponsible, and they're doing it,
- 16:18Speaker 2: I will say, from the political agenda of a leftist,
- 16:22Speaker 2: seeing more civilians killed in confrontations with ICE agents.
- 16:27Speaker 3: Furthers their political agenda.
- 16:29Speaker 2: They want ICE delegitimized, they want enforcing our federal immigration
- 16:34Speaker 2: laws delegitimized. Why Because they supported for four years open borders.
- 16:40Speaker 2: They've decided they are a radical open borders party. And
- 16:45Speaker 2: every single shooting you have, particularly with someone who is
- 16:48Speaker 2: not a trender Aragua gang member, an MS thirteen gang member,
- 16:53Speaker 2: someone who appears to be a mother of three or
- 16:57Speaker 2: an ICU nurse. Every shooting that happens, unfortunately, we're seeing
- 17:04Speaker 2: Democrats in the media use to inflame the tensions, to
- 17:08Speaker 2: divide us more and to distract from the absolute scandal
- 17:11Speaker 2: of nine billion dollars stolen by Somali fosters in Minnesota.
- 17:16Speaker 1: This is the guy I Jel free card, and we
- 17:18Speaker 1: need to connect that dot for people, so toy understand.
- 17:21Speaker 1: I truly believe that that the Democratic Party as a whole,
- 17:24Speaker 1: certainly the governor and the mayor, they need a distraction
- 17:29Speaker 1: from the billions that were stolen and their connection and
- 17:32Speaker 1: their donations that came to them from some of these
- 17:35Speaker 1: people that are even in jail now. They need this
- 17:37Speaker 1: to go away. They I think every time there's a
- 17:40Speaker 1: shooting there they think, great, we're getting away from that
- 17:42Speaker 1: scandal and this is the new thing. So this is
- 17:45Speaker 1: working out perfectly for us. That also is a part
- 17:48Speaker 1: of this the politics that people have to understand.
- 17:51Speaker 2: I think that is absolutely right, particularly because I think
- 17:54Speaker 2: many of those Democrat politicians are complicit and face their
- 17:57Speaker 2: own liability for what is today the most massive taxpayer fraud.
- 18:02Speaker 3: That has ever been discovered.
- 18:03Speaker 2: There may be larger ones in states like California and
- 18:05Speaker 2: New York, but Minnesota is right now the single largest
- 18:09Speaker 2: in the history of America. And the Democrats really, really
- 18:12Speaker 2: really want everyone.
- 18:13Speaker 3: To forget that. Let me say something else.
- 18:15Speaker 2: I don't think it's an accident that this is happening
- 18:18Speaker 2: in Minneapolis. Minneapolis is where the George Floyd riots began.
- 18:24Speaker 2: It's where the Black Lives mattered, Antifa riots began, where
- 18:27Speaker 2: the looting began, where the fire bombing of police cars began,
- 18:31Speaker 2: where the violence began, and there has grown up an organized,
- 18:38Speaker 2: funded resistance in Minneapolis that operates in many ways like
- 18:43Speaker 2: a military force. Operates with intelligence, operates with millions of
- 18:47Speaker 2: dollars behind it, operates with surveillance, operates by targeting law
- 18:52Speaker 2: enforcement agents, operates by sending people in to deliberately obstruct
- 18:57Speaker 2: law enforcement including you had one of these, one of
- 19:00Speaker 2: these instances, one detainee bit the finger off of a
- 19:04Speaker 2: law enforcement agent. You had another person who was arrested
- 19:09Speaker 2: who had spikes that she was putting to blow the
- 19:12Speaker 2: tires out on law enforcement vehicles, and she was arrested
- 19:16Speaker 2: with a whole bag full of those. They are engaged
- 19:20Speaker 2: in not just peaceful protests standing there holding a sign,
- 19:24Speaker 2: but deliberately active, violent protest designed to stop law enforcement
- 19:30Speaker 2: from arresting the criminals. And there's real money behind it,
- 19:33Speaker 2: and and and and listen, I would call upon DJ
- 19:37Speaker 2: and the FBI follow the money in Minnesota.
- 19:41Speaker 1: And you see.
- 19:41Speaker 2: Report after report after report of people being surveilled, of
- 19:46Speaker 2: people being stopped on the street and asked for their identification,
- 19:49Speaker 2: not by law enforcement but by these rogue militias, and
- 19:54Speaker 2: and and you know, the Democrats of the media were
- 19:57Speaker 2: really fond.
- 19:58Speaker 3: For a long time of using the word in.
- 20:00Speaker 1: Yes, they love that word.
- 20:02Speaker 2: A violent effort to take over a city is in
- 20:06Speaker 2: fact an insurrection, sustained engage in violence, funded and we
- 20:10Speaker 2: are seeing that. And indeed we've seen I've seen pictures
- 20:14Speaker 2: on X the parts of Minnesota where where they're building
- 20:17Speaker 2: walls and trying to create an autonomous zone. And it
- 20:20Speaker 2: is exacerbated by the fact that the Democrat politicians are
- 20:25Speaker 2: handcuffing the police so that the local police are not
- 20:28Speaker 2: able to do their job. And I'm certain those police
- 20:31Speaker 2: are deeply frustrated by the politician bosses that prevent them
- 20:35Speaker 2: from doing their job.
- 20:37Speaker 1: By the way, what you just said is the perfect
- 20:39Speaker 1: segue in the second subject that I want to cover,
- 20:41Speaker 1: and that is Democrats right now are trying to find
- 20:45Speaker 1: any way they can to fight back and to hurt
- 20:48Speaker 1: Donald Trump because approval ratings give you your power in Washington,
- 20:52Speaker 1: d C. Especially if you're dealing with rhinos on the
- 20:55Speaker 1: House side or even on the Senate side. Right if
- 20:57Speaker 1: they look at the poll numbers more than anybody they
- 20:59Speaker 1: want to read and not to stand with President Trump
- 21:02Speaker 1: on certain issues. That's how Washington works, and what we're
- 21:06Speaker 1: now witnessing is Democrats, I think, feel like this issue
- 21:11Speaker 1: plays to their base, It engages their base, and they're
- 21:15Speaker 1: now going to use it to justify another government shut down.
- 21:21Speaker 1: This is my opinion. I want to get your thoughts
- 21:23Speaker 1: on it because I think that we're headed there for
- 21:26Speaker 1: this reason where they're like, hey, we have a justification
- 21:30Speaker 1: now for what we want to get rid of ice.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Where we get rid of ice funding funding for them?
- 21:33Speaker 1: Is that wor' showing the government down over? Are you
- 21:36Speaker 1: seeing the way I'm seeing it now that this is
- 21:38Speaker 1: where we're headed.
- 21:39Speaker 2: Yes, But before we get the shutdown, I want to
- 21:41Speaker 2: point out because politically it's more than just their base. Yes,
- 21:46Speaker 2: it is true that these violent protests energize their base, drives, turnout,
- 21:50Speaker 2: drives fundraising. The crazies get all the more excited the
- 21:54Speaker 2: more violence the Left foments. But it's about more than that.
- 21:58Speaker 2: It's also about totally capturing the news cycle, taking the
- 22:03Speaker 2: fraud and corruption out of the news cycle. That's a
- 22:06Speaker 2: totally separate objective that is critically important to them. But
- 22:10Speaker 2: there is a third one ben which is not the
- 22:12Speaker 2: base of the Democrat Party, but rather moderate women, soccer
- 22:17Speaker 2: moms who may not be deeply politically engaged, and historically
- 22:23Speaker 2: moderate suburban women have been a swing vote. If you
- 22:26Speaker 2: look in the last decade, the two most predominant political
- 22:31Speaker 2: movements we've seen is that we've seen number one, blue
- 22:34Speaker 2: collar voters moving right. That's moved Midwestern states, states like
- 22:39Speaker 2: Ohio have gotten a lot red. They used to be purple,
- 22:42Speaker 2: Ohio's now read. But we've also seen suburban voters, particularly
- 22:46Speaker 2: suburban women, moving left, and that's moved what used to
- 22:49Speaker 2: be red states to purple states like Georgia and Arizona,
- 22:53Speaker 2: both of them just a few years ago they had
- 22:55Speaker 2: four Republican senators from Georgia and Arizona. We now have
- 23:00Speaker 2: four Democrat senators from Georgia and Arizona. The reason is
- 23:04Speaker 2: suburban women in Atlanta and Phoenix move left. The democrats
- 23:08Speaker 2: of the media are seizing on this to tell stories
- 23:12Speaker 2: and understand they're looking for not the person that is
- 23:15Speaker 2: following every development, but just the person who's living, living
- 23:19Speaker 2: their life and taking in what's happening and seeing a headline.
- 23:25Speaker 2: You know, Ice shoots mother of three, Ice shoots ICU nurse,
- 23:31Speaker 2: Ice apprehends five year old child. That story was everywhere,
- 23:35Speaker 2: By the way, it's a total lie. It's absolutely false.
- 23:39Speaker 2: In fact, what happened is Ice came to apprehend the father.
- 23:42Speaker 2: The father ran off and abandoned the five year old child,
- 23:45Speaker 2: and and understandably, Ice was not going to leave a
- 23:48Speaker 2: five year old child alone on the street the death outside.
- 23:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean they would leave alone period. But the
- 23:56Speaker 1: argument that the left has made, I'm like, let me
- 23:58Speaker 1: get this straight. You guys want the kid to be
- 23:59Speaker 1: left alone just to wander the streets of a city
- 24:02Speaker 1: and be alone. That's insane. And then in the winter
- 24:05Speaker 1: when they could freeze death, that's also insane. They, by
- 24:08Speaker 1: the way, found the woman, the mother of the child.
- 24:11Speaker 2: It is reported they found the mother of the child.
- 24:14Speaker 2: They knocked on the door, tried to give the child
- 24:15Speaker 2: back to her. She wouldn't take him. She closed the
- 24:18Speaker 2: door and said, no, I won't take him. And so, look,
- 24:22Speaker 2: the purpose of that story is not actually factual journalism.
- 24:26Speaker 2: It is entirely about telling a story to pull on
- 24:29Speaker 2: people's heartstrings and to cause suburban voters who are not
- 24:35Speaker 2: paying close attention to say, oh, this has gone too far.
- 24:38Speaker 2: If they're shooting moms and nurses and arresting little kids,
- 24:42Speaker 2: clearly it's gone too far. This is a political campaign,
- 24:46Speaker 2: and tragically it's a political campaign that is costing people's lives.
- 24:51Speaker 2: But because look, the political campaign is having some real effect,
- 24:54Speaker 2: it is it is having a fact We saw, you know,
- 24:59Speaker 2: John Case speaking of suburban women. We saw John Kasik
- 25:05Speaker 2: put out a whole video saying, you know, oh, oh,
- 25:10Speaker 2: I'm just I'm hurting so much. We must stop, we
- 25:13Speaker 2: must stop arresting illegals.
- 25:15Speaker 3: You know.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Unfortunately that's the target audience. And in the world of politics,
- 25:22Speaker 2: we've got to realize that we've got to confront the
- 25:25Speaker 2: bad stories with stories that are compelling. And it's where
- 25:28Speaker 2: tone matters, and I would encourage Look, the administration is
- 25:33Speaker 2: doing a fantastic job securing the border. Illegal crossings have
- 25:37Speaker 2: dropped ninety nine percent. It's phenomenal. They're doing a terrific
- 25:41Speaker 2: job going and arresting violent criminals, murderers and rapists and
- 25:45Speaker 2: gang bangers, which is why we've seen the murder rate
- 25:48Speaker 2: drop twenty percent. We covered that in the last podcast,
- 25:51Speaker 2: that the murder rate has dropped twenty percent across the country.
- 25:55Speaker 2: That's a massive success. What I think the administration could
- 25:58Speaker 2: do better is is the tone with which they're describing
- 26:02Speaker 2: this that immediately when an incident like this happens, they
- 26:07Speaker 2: come out guns blazing that we took out a violent terrorist, hooray.
- 26:13Speaker 2: And the problem is, particularly for someone not paying attention,
- 26:17Speaker 2: if you're being told this is a mom of three
- 26:20Speaker 2: and there's no indication you know, she's not waving an
- 26:22Speaker 2: ISIS flag or doesn't have a suicide vest around her, Yeah,
- 26:27Speaker 2: escalating the rhetoric doesn't help, and it actually loses credibility.
- 26:32Speaker 2: And so I would encourage the administration to be more measured,
- 26:36Speaker 2: to recognize the tragedy and to say.
- 26:39Speaker 3: We don't want anyone anyone's.
- 26:42Speaker 2: Lives to be lost, and the politicians who are pouring
- 26:46Speaker 2: gasoline onto this fire, they need to stop.
- 26:49Speaker 1: Yeah. I agree with you there, and I also think look,
- 26:51Speaker 1: facts matter. Explaining what happened is very important to five
- 26:55Speaker 1: year old stories. A perfect example all the morning news
- 26:58Speaker 1: shows abcnbc's they led with that story and ran it
- 27:02Speaker 1: into the ground that morning, that a five year old
- 27:04Speaker 1: was attained by ice, and they didn't correct that story.
- 27:08Speaker 1: It's a new year, twenty twenty six. You've probably heard
- 27:11Speaker 1: the name bitcoin and cryptocurrency. So the question so many
- 27:14Speaker 1: people have is is it safe? And is it something
- 27:18Speaker 1: that I should be invested in. It's a question I
- 27:20Speaker 1: want to get answered for you today in joining me
- 27:23Speaker 1: now to talk about that as a co founder of
- 27:25Speaker 1: Bitcoin IRA, Chris Klin, Chris, I appreciate you being here,
- 27:29Speaker 1: and it is pretty cool to see what's happened in
- 27:31Speaker 1: the crypto space. It has become normal. It now can
- 27:35Speaker 1: be a part of your IRA. The federal government has
- 27:38Speaker 1: changed the rules. They're accepting cryptocurrency like it's a stock.
- 27:42Speaker 4: Yes, absolutely, and it's it's really driven itself into a
- 27:45Speaker 4: mainstream space. I remember a decade ago when we first
- 27:47Speaker 4: started bitcoin IRA and everybody was like, are you crazy, kid?
- 27:51Speaker 4: You're putting bitcoin in retirement accounts? Is this even possible?
- 27:54Speaker 4: And you fast forward to where we're at today, where
- 27:57Speaker 4: countries are building stockpiles, corporations are building stock files. Strategy,
- 28:01Speaker 4: for example, is pretty much its entire business models around this.
- 28:04Speaker 4: It's a piece of diversification that every major player in
- 28:07Speaker 4: the space and economics is looking at, and so should too,
- 28:10Speaker 4: the individual sovereignty of the average American looking to put
- 28:12Speaker 4: it inside of their retirement.
- 28:14Speaker 1: You guys actually have a really cool stat that you
- 28:16Speaker 1: told me about at dinner, and that is that your
- 28:19Speaker 1: clients seventy five percent were born before nineteen seventy six.
- 28:23Speaker 1: So the idea that you may be missed out on this,
- 28:26Speaker 1: or if you're a little older, it's a young man's
- 28:28Speaker 1: game and crypto that is also just not true.
- 28:31Speaker 4: That's definitely one of the myths I wanted to come
- 28:32Speaker 4: to bunk with you in your audience. Isn't this isn't
- 28:35Speaker 4: our grandfather's economy and grandfathers are buying bitcoin and putting
- 28:39Speaker 4: it inside their retirement for long term holdings, especially now
- 28:42Speaker 4: that they're thinking about inheritance and handing some of these
- 28:44Speaker 4: things down, but yeah, that was actually shocking to me.
- 28:46Speaker 4: We've discovered that in twenty eighteen that seventy five percent
- 28:49Speaker 4: of them were older than my parents' generation. And what
- 28:53Speaker 4: we found from surveying all of them was this is
- 28:56Speaker 4: something that they think is new age and that I
- 28:58Speaker 4: think almost every American especially has a genuine concern of
- 29:01Speaker 4: watching what's happened to the US dollar over the last
- 29:04Speaker 4: four or five decades. And there's always been gold and
- 29:06Speaker 4: silver's a potential hedge, land, real estate. These scarce assets
- 29:10Speaker 4: and bitcoin, while it may seem oh that's digital and
- 29:12Speaker 4: it's different, it's scarce. There's only twenty one million assets
- 29:16Speaker 4: bitcoin that will ever be mined. Nineteen and a half
- 29:18Speaker 4: million have been mined so far, and you and I
- 29:21Speaker 4: actually won't live, our kids will probably live to see
- 29:23Speaker 4: the last one get mined. This is something you know.
- 29:25Speaker 4: We're in a world of abundance since I was born
- 29:26Speaker 4: in nineteen eighty five. It's abundance. We just printed and
- 29:29Speaker 4: printed and printed more. This is a moment in time
- 29:31Speaker 4: where we may be able to revert back to scarcity,
- 29:33Speaker 4: and there'll be a day we're just saying I have
- 29:35Speaker 4: one Bitcoin will be life changing.
- 29:37Speaker 1: Chris. I hope a lot of people that are watching this,
- 29:39Speaker 1: you guys, will go and find out more. It is
- 29:41Speaker 1: amazing what you can do in your retirement account now,
- 29:44Speaker 1: just like your other investments with bitcoin cryptocurrency. Find out
- 29:48Speaker 1: more right now at bitcoinira dot com slash ben that's
- 29:53Speaker 1: bitcoin ira dot com slash ben and see what cryptocurrency
- 29:58Speaker 1: can do for your portfolio. Not only is the Democratic
- 30:01Speaker 1: Party looking for an opportunity, so is the media. And
- 30:05Speaker 1: they now believe that like this civil war and hold
- 30:08Speaker 1: this flag up is you know, and planet is, we
- 30:11Speaker 1: as Democrats, were willing to shut down the government to
- 30:13Speaker 1: defund ice. That's going to be the premise, is what
- 30:16Speaker 1: I've been told from many in the media that I've
- 30:19Speaker 1: talked to and some of my friends on the left.
- 30:21Speaker 1: They're like, yeah, we're gonna shut down. We're justified this time,
- 30:23Speaker 1: way more than we were last time. Last time we
- 30:26Speaker 1: really weren't justified very much in shutting down the government,
- 30:28Speaker 1: but we tried it anyway. Now they actually feel emboldened.
- 30:31Speaker 1: Do you think a government shutdown is going to come?
- 30:33Speaker 1: Yes or no?
- 30:35Speaker 3: Yes? One percent?
- 30:36Speaker 1: Yes, okay, and it's going to be tied to this issue, right.
- 30:39Speaker 3: Yes, yes, one hundred percent.
- 30:41Speaker 2: The last government shutdown, which was the longest government shutdown
- 30:45Speaker 2: in US history, Chuck Schumer and the Democrats forced through
- 30:49Speaker 2: really to show his radical base that he was fighting
- 30:51Speaker 2: because he's scared of being primary by AOC. But they
- 30:55Speaker 2: also did it to tee up the issue of health
- 30:57Speaker 2: care and the cost of health insurance premium. Mind you,
- 31:01Speaker 2: the premiums have skyrocketed because of Obamacare, because of their policy.
- 31:05Speaker 2: But they did the shutdown. It was entirely with an
- 31:08Speaker 2: eye towards November that they say, Look, we fought like
- 31:11Speaker 2: crazy on health insurance, and the mean Republicans didn't give
- 31:15Speaker 2: us what we wanted, which was fifty billion dollars in
- 31:17Speaker 2: corporate welfare subsidies to giant health insurance companies, and that's
- 31:21Speaker 2: why your health insurance has gone up. Now that's factually wrong,
- 31:26Speaker 2: but it is a political narrative they're telling here. They
- 31:31Speaker 2: are going to tell the narrative, we will not fund
- 31:34Speaker 2: ice under any circumstances, and we will shut the government down.
- 31:38Speaker 2: And by the way, the media covered for them so much.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Their base was so happy with the shutdown. I think
- 31:45Speaker 2: they perceived very few downsides to shutting the government down.
- 31:49Speaker 2: Now this shutdown that will happen on January thirtieth will
- 31:54Speaker 2: likely be smaller than the previous one.
- 31:56Speaker 3: And the reason is we funded.
- 31:58Speaker 1: Still, Harry, explain, Explain why does that mean they're being
- 32:01Speaker 1: more strategic in how they're doing it, or explain.
- 32:03Speaker 2: That Now between the two, we have passed some appropriations bills.
- 32:08Speaker 2: So once appropriations bills are passed, those departments are funding.
- 32:13Speaker 2: So AG, the Department of Agriculture is funded, and so
- 32:16Speaker 2: everything that goes through AG is funded, CJS, Commerce, Justice
- 32:21Speaker 2: and Science that is funded. Energy is funded, Water is funded,
- 32:25Speaker 2: Interior Environment, Ledge Branch, Military construction, and the VA all
- 32:31Speaker 2: of those are funded. So the shutdown will not impact
- 32:34Speaker 2: any of those. So what would a shut down impact.
- 32:37Speaker 2: It would impact Defense, the Department of War, It would
- 32:41Speaker 2: impact the Department of Labor, It would impact HHS, it
- 32:45Speaker 2: would impact the Department of Education. It would impact the
- 32:48Speaker 2: Department of Transportation and Housing in urban Development. It would
- 32:52Speaker 2: impact the SEC, the FCC, the independent agencies, and it
- 32:57Speaker 2: would impact DHS, the Department of Homeland Security, and ICE
- 33:01Speaker 2: directly under that, And I think you're going to see
- 33:05Speaker 2: the Democrats force a shut down, and actually you don't
- 33:07Speaker 2: have to take my words for it here. Let me
- 33:10Speaker 2: read for you what Schumer tweeted out to the world.
- 33:13Speaker 2: He said, quote, what's happening in Minnesota is appalling and
- 33:17Speaker 2: unacceptable in any American city. Democrats sought common sense reforms
- 33:23Speaker 2: in the Department of Homeland Security spending bill, but because
- 33:26Speaker 2: of Republican's refusal to stand up to President Trump, the
- 33:30Speaker 2: DHS bill is woefully inadequate to rein in the abuses
- 33:33Speaker 2: of ICE.
- 33:34Speaker 3: I will vote no.
- 33:36Speaker 2: Senate Democrats will not provide the votes to proceed to
- 33:40Speaker 2: the Appropriations bill if the DHS funding bill is included there.
- 33:45Speaker 2: He is explicitly, unequivocally threatening a shutdown. I think that's
- 33:50Speaker 2: what we're going to see come Janus.
- 33:51Speaker 1: And by the way, he's not the only one. So
- 33:53Speaker 1: Elizabeth Warren was responding to another tweet. I want to
- 33:56Speaker 1: read it. It was just the tweet she was responding
- 33:58Speaker 1: to to give it context. As reminder, DHS legislation that
- 34:02Speaker 1: funds ICE at current levels without policy restrictions is in
- 34:06Speaker 1: the Senate and needs sixty votes to pass. Deadline is
- 34:09Speaker 1: next Friday. Elizabeth Warren puts it out there with this
- 34:12Speaker 1: and she says, quote, I'm a hell no not a
- 34:15Speaker 1: penny more for Ice. We should not fund this terror.
- 34:20Speaker 1: So she's also jumping on board with this as well.
- 34:23Speaker 1: And then there's other centers have come out and so
- 34:25Speaker 1: this is why I say this isn't a one off.
- 34:28Speaker 1: This is clearly a coordinated attack, is the best way
- 34:31Speaker 1: I can describe it.
- 34:32Speaker 3: Well, here's Chris Murphy on CNN, give a listen.
- 34:35Speaker 5: I want to ask about what you're leader. Chuck Schumber says,
- 34:40Speaker 5: the Democrats are going to vote against a government funding
- 34:42Speaker 5: package that is before the Senate soon and it includes
- 34:45Speaker 5: money for the Department of Homeland Security. How is that
- 34:48Speaker 5: going to play out?
- 34:50Speaker 3: Well, we can't vote to fund this lawless Department of
- 34:54Speaker 3: Homeland Security.
- 34:55Speaker 1: We can't fund this lawless Department of Homeland Security.
- 34:58Speaker 3: Center.
- 34:58Speaker 1: That's pretty bold words you ask me by a center
- 35:01Speaker 1: that clearly is like, hey, we're all on the same page.
- 35:03Speaker 1: This is what we're doing now.
- 35:05Speaker 2: Yeah, Look, that's the position of every Democrat. And understand,
- 35:09Speaker 2: this is the same position that is abolish ICE and
- 35:12Speaker 2: abolish the police. They're saying they're going to refuse to
- 35:15Speaker 2: fund the Department of Homeland Security, the department that is
- 35:20Speaker 2: charged with keeping us safe, with securing our border with
- 35:23Speaker 2: protecting our families, and the Democrats are saying we won't
- 35:27Speaker 2: fund it, So what will happen. I think there's a
- 35:30Speaker 2: chance we see Congress put together an appropriations package that
- 35:34Speaker 2: funds everything but DHS, that that might be that might pass.
- 35:40Speaker 2: In terms of DHS, I think the Democrats are going
