- 2:06Speaker 1: dig me NW one and only Steve Hardy got a
- 2:09Speaker 1: radio show. Here we go today. I think I have
- 2:14Speaker 1: something for a lot of people today, at least I
- 2:17Speaker 1: hope I do. And this is about on your journey,
- 2:21Speaker 1: And this is about something that happens to us all.
- 2:26Speaker 1: I mean, what happens to all of us from time
- 2:30Speaker 1: to time when we get discouraged. What happens to all
- 2:35Speaker 1: of us when we feel like quitting, What happens to
- 2:40Speaker 1: all of us when we have that turn back moment?
- 2:43Speaker 1: What happens to all of us when it don't seem
- 2:47Speaker 1: like it's gonna paying out, because I want you to
- 2:50Speaker 1: understand something that everyone, every single living soul, has those
- 2:56Speaker 1: thoughts about something at some point in the life. I mean,
- 3:02Speaker 1: you know, look, I've oftentimes been discouraged about things not
- 3:06Speaker 1: happening as fast as I like them. All things don't
- 3:11Speaker 1: paying out the way I would like for them to
- 3:14Speaker 1: have payed out. I mean, there's so many ways to
- 3:18Speaker 1: get discouraged. But what But what my encouragement to you
- 3:24Speaker 1: is when discouragement comes is understand this. It is a
- 3:31Speaker 1: part of the growth process. It is a test. It
- 3:38Speaker 1: is a test of your faith. How bad you wanted
- 3:44Speaker 1: Do you really believe? That's That's all faith is. It's simply,
- 3:50Speaker 1: and I've said this how many times. Faith is the
- 3:54Speaker 1: belief in things that you cannot see. So when discouragement comes,
- 3:58Speaker 1: setbacks comes, it is a test of your faith. At
- 4:03Speaker 1: least it's been that way for me. Now other people
- 4:05Speaker 1: can explain it another way. I'm not other people. I
- 4:08Speaker 1: can only give it to you the way it has
- 4:10Speaker 1: come to me and throughout my life and man on
- 4:13Speaker 1: man on man, discouragement sometimes it's tough to deal with
- 4:19Speaker 1: because it seems at times when you are discouraged. That
- 4:23Speaker 1: is so absolute that this means the end, and if
- 4:30Speaker 1: you allow it to set in, it can be just
- 4:34Speaker 1: that the end of you. When Milly Milly, it was
- 4:39Speaker 1: a test, that's all it is. But the majority of
- 4:44Speaker 1: people that I know who are not successful or who
- 4:48Speaker 1: have told me the story of how they gave up,
- 4:51Speaker 1: it was it was because at a moment of discouragement
- 4:56Speaker 1: that they allowed it to set in and it became
- 5:00Speaker 1: so engulfing that it became the reason why you shouldn't finish.
- 5:05Speaker 1: And then they started justifying it with here the one
- 5:07Speaker 1: that I hate to hear. Well, if if it's God's will,
- 5:11Speaker 1: excuse me. If it's God's will that you fail. If
- 5:17Speaker 1: it's God's will that you're not successful, If it's God's
- 5:23Speaker 1: will that you lay down and give up, it's God's
- 5:26Speaker 1: will that you allow yourself to amount to, not to
- 5:31Speaker 1: not reach your potential. That's God's will. That's not the
- 5:36Speaker 1: God I know. That's not the God I served, that's
- 5:39Speaker 1: not the God I've read about. That's not the God
- 5:43Speaker 1: I believe in. I'm sorry, I just my mother always
- 5:46Speaker 1: taught me something that he didn't bring me this far
- 5:49Speaker 1: to leave me. I just don't believe that, not for
- 5:54Speaker 1: a second. Now have I convinced myself or some things? Yep?
- 6:00Speaker 1: Have I allowed the devil to come into the picture
- 6:02Speaker 1: and paint a different one from it? Yep, yep, I've
- 6:06Speaker 1: done all of that. But you can't blame that on God. Now,
- 6:11Speaker 1: come on, So when when discouragement comes, try to look
- 6:18Speaker 1: at it if you can, as a test of your faith,
- 6:22Speaker 1: and you merely have to pass the test. It could
- 6:26Speaker 1: be for a day, a half a day, a few hours,
- 6:29Speaker 1: a week, a few weeks, it don't matter. Don't nobody
- 6:32Speaker 1: know how long the test period is. Your job is
- 6:35Speaker 1: to keep the faith and keep moving. Keep the faith
- 6:39Speaker 1: and keep moving, keep working, keep believing, keep hope alive.
- 6:45Speaker 1: That's your job. If you do that, that's how you
- 6:49Speaker 1: pass the test. It could be over tomorrow, it could
- 6:52Speaker 1: be over in two weeks, it could be over in
- 6:54Speaker 1: a month. You don't know. But all you got to
- 6:56Speaker 1: do is wake up and keep the faith and fight
- 6:59Speaker 1: the discouraging feelings. And how do you do that? Steve?
- 7:03Speaker 1: Now here we go. This is the part I know
- 7:05Speaker 1: about for show because how many times I've had to
- 7:09Speaker 1: fight off discouragement in order to get to where God
- 7:12Speaker 1: wanted me to be. What do you do when you
- 7:16Speaker 1: become discouraged? Well, here's a series of things. I do.
- 7:22Speaker 1: I think of the outcome. When I get discouraged about
- 7:26Speaker 1: a task, I think about the outcome. Man, what would
- 7:30Speaker 1: it be like if I were to complete the task?
- 7:32Speaker 1: What would it be like? Man? What would the outcome
- 7:36Speaker 1: be for me? If I hung on in there? If
- 7:38Speaker 1: I didn't give up, If I if I if I imagine,
- 7:43Speaker 1: I imagine if I don't quit, I imagine if I
- 7:47Speaker 1: don't give up, what would it be like? Man, Suppose
- 7:52Speaker 1: everything I'm hoping for comes true. But if I don't
- 7:56Speaker 1: quit and give up, that might just be the case.
- 7:59Speaker 1: I start are talking to myself like that. I think
- 8:03Speaker 1: of what the upside is. What's the upside to stay
- 8:07Speaker 1: in with it? You see, all this is the same thing.
- 8:10Speaker 1: I'm just giving you different ways to look at it.
- 8:12Speaker 1: I'm saying the exact same thing over and over. But
- 8:15Speaker 1: I'm just trying to find the switch that connects in
- 8:18Speaker 1: your mind where you can say, Okay, man, I'm gonna
- 8:21Speaker 1: hang in there. Because if you think of the outcome,
- 8:24Speaker 1: and the outcome is appealing to you, if you imagine
- 8:27Speaker 1: what it would be like if you don't give up,
- 8:30Speaker 1: or you don't quit, if you if you think only
- 8:33Speaker 1: of what the upside is to stay in with it,
- 8:37Speaker 1: and then I I go, where can this lead to?
- 8:41Speaker 1: If I stay with it, man, and the outcome comes true?
- 8:45Speaker 1: What else could that lead me to? Because I mean,
- 8:49Speaker 1: there's always more to it? So what where else could
- 8:52Speaker 1: this lead me to? What are the possibilities? Man? What
- 8:58Speaker 1: are the limitless possibility of these? What could God possibly
- 9:02Speaker 1: have in store for me if I just hang in there?
- 9:05Speaker 1: If I passed this test of faith, if I just
- 9:08Speaker 1: passed this test. Now, it ain't gonna be the only one.
- 9:12Speaker 1: But you gotta get past this one. No, then you're
- 9:14Speaker 1: gonna hear the smooth plane. Then it's gonna be another one.
- 9:17Speaker 1: It's gonna be another one. Life ain't nothing but a
- 9:20Speaker 1: series of tests. Man. Man, When you're thinking about giving up,
- 9:26Speaker 1: when you discourage, think of the outcome. Imagine what it
- 9:30Speaker 1: would be like if you don't quit, if you don't
- 9:32Speaker 1: give up. What's the upside to stay in with it?
- 9:36Speaker 1: Where can this all lead to? What? What can this
- 9:39Speaker 1: get you too? If if you do this and you
- 9:42Speaker 1: get to where you think you want to be? Oh,
- 9:45Speaker 1: my God, what's after that? What are the limitless and
- 9:49Speaker 1: endless possibilities of holding on to your faith? What could
- 9:54Speaker 1: really be out there for me? Man? If I just
- 9:56Speaker 1: passed this test, you gotta talk yourself in the hang
- 10:00Speaker 1: in in there. And sometimes it ain't nobody talking to
- 10:03Speaker 1: you about hanging in there but you. But that's good
- 10:06Speaker 1: enough because God has a blessing for you. God's got
- 10:11Speaker 1: a blessing with your name on it. God has packages
- 10:16Speaker 1: bundled up with your name on it. He got blessings
- 10:19Speaker 1: just in boxes with your name on it. Man, I
- 10:22Speaker 1: want all the mind shipped. I'll be on Faith Street
- 10:28Speaker 1: waiting there to receive. I just I'm just believing he's
- 10:32Speaker 1: shipping stuff. But if you keep moving from the address
- 10:36Speaker 1: of Faith, if you keep getting off Faith Street, why
- 10:39Speaker 1: you want the packages to go? They got your name
- 10:42Speaker 1: on it and it's based on your faith. But if
- 10:45Speaker 1: you keep moving on Doubt Avenue and ain't no Way
- 10:47Speaker 1: Boulevard and the pasage get delivered only the Faith Street
- 10:51Speaker 1: what you keep moving on Faith Street for? Come on, man,
- 10:54Speaker 1: you can't give up. You can't give up. You're listening, Uh,

- 14:19Speaker 1: be this all morning or not, but anyway, you cut
- 14:24Speaker 1: it all. We'll be back with more crazy after you're
- 14:31Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up in
- 14:35Speaker 1: about an hour. We're going to play. Are you smarter
- 14:38Speaker 1: the nephew, Tommy. This is a story about marriage, though
- 14:43Speaker 1: um sons. A marriage is doomed. According this is according
- 14:47Speaker 1: now Jay to wedding photographers. Okay, there's no doubt wedding
- 14:52Speaker 1: photographers have seen it, all right, We all hired wedding photographers.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Is that the police talking? Yeah, you can't called the police.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Sirens and stuff, all right. Anyway, wedding photographers have seen
- 15:10Speaker 1: it all and since they spend a lot of time
- 15:12Speaker 1: getting to know a couple before a big day, many
- 15:15Speaker 1: can see the signs of a doomed relationship even before
- 15:18Speaker 1: the I dues, even before they're even said. Okay. Wedding
- 15:21Speaker 1: photographers have shared the red flags that tell them a
- 15:24Speaker 1: couple maybe headed for divorce. Red flags include here we go,
- 15:28Speaker 1: a partner who's completely uninterested in taking the pictures in
- 15:34Speaker 1: the first place, already marriage. A couple who doesn't spend
- 15:42Speaker 1: any time together at a reception, all right, that's another sign.
- 15:47Speaker 1: That's another when her family he's with his family. You
- 15:51Speaker 1: know how it goes. Yeah, here's another one. And couples
- 15:55Speaker 1: who aren't on the same page over money. That's definitely
- 15:59Speaker 1: a red flag a relations Jenny's first first man, all right,
- 16:04Speaker 1: here's another issue. If a couple has between a twenty
- 16:07Speaker 1: and twenty five percent rejection rates plus in fighting amongst
- 16:12Speaker 1: the wedding party. Wow, yeah, but other people said that
- 16:18Speaker 1: he's not good for you and she's not for you
- 16:21Speaker 1: of your friends and you shouldn't beat up with that.
- 16:24Speaker 1: And a couple of couple who makes you know, like
- 16:26Speaker 1: little tiny, little bity subtle digs at each other throughout
- 16:30Speaker 1: the wedding. Not that when we had stuff like that. Damn, Mama,
- 16:37Speaker 1: you're an expert at get that. I don't think you're
- 16:43Speaker 1: gonna be get in that draft to be of which,
- 16:48Speaker 1: thank you, daddy, of me at last, so j and
- 16:56Speaker 1: seems here of course we want you to chime. Man,
- 16:58Speaker 1: it's your chime when you get through. Yeah. Okay, well
- 17:01Speaker 1: I'm just about through. But I do have a question
- 17:02Speaker 1: to ask you. Did you guys have any doubts? Did
- 17:05Speaker 1: you see any red flags? Yeah? My dad, Mary the
- 17:08Speaker 1: best sign ever ever, And I didn't list. My daughter
- 17:12Speaker 1: said to me, She said to me, Daddy, you ain't
- 17:16Speaker 1: got to go through with us. We can just have
- 17:18Speaker 1: a party. And I have the reception, but not win.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Another friend of match, Stephanie said, this was my time
- 17:31Speaker 1: match which one, Yeah, Stephanie, but yeah my third Stepanie
- 17:40Speaker 1: says that Stephanie to my witch. Stephanie said, and I repeat, now, dog,
- 17:45Speaker 1: I catch the next one like it's a movie a flight. Yeah,
- 17:54Speaker 1: I'll the next one. No, No, I have a shortness
- 18:01Speaker 1: of things that I have discovered that can happen during
- 18:06Speaker 1: the wedding day or leading up to that. We'll let
- 18:10Speaker 1: you know the same thing. The work come on from
- 18:13Speaker 1: the winding photographer perspective. If at no point do they
- 18:19Speaker 1: want to hold hands for pictures. Here's another sign at
- 18:29Speaker 1: the wedding. If it ain't but one person on top
- 18:32Speaker 1: of the cake, what kind of make a cake like that? Yeah,
- 18:39Speaker 1: you're just a bride or just a groove what I'm saying,
- 18:44Speaker 1: don't you know? You've got to put me up? And
- 18:48Speaker 1: here's the biggest way you could tell this this this
- 18:51Speaker 1: weird ain't gonna last if after reception ain't no gifts
- 18:55Speaker 1: on the table. That's what people are just saying. And
- 19:00Speaker 1: I'm not in the pot for my money that this ain't.
- 19:06Speaker 1: Somebody says, so what day is that again? Wednesday? Getting married?
- 19:15Speaker 1: I want to win. I guess my favorite one was
- 19:20Speaker 1: if you're taking digs like that, Yeah, but God doesn't
- 19:28Speaker 1: your sid all the time? Thank you, thank you, Mike.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Take a breath mint before when you know I don't
- 19:40Speaker 1: even like each other with them a little through the groom,
- 19:45Speaker 1: she coming down an you up there, and this is
- 19:50Speaker 1: what you turn around your best man to say, yeah, yeah,
- 20:03Speaker 1: in the middle. I don't know if y'all know this
- 20:06Speaker 1: about music, but this is the absolute truth. Taps and
- 20:09Speaker 1: the wedding song. Taps and the wedding song are in
- 20:13Speaker 1: the same key. I rest my kids horrible, but Jay
- 20:25Speaker 1: is the expert wedding song. Same. Okay, you mean a lovely,
- 20:36Speaker 1: beautiful woman. You meet a beautiful woman, you like her
- 20:40Speaker 1: a whole lot. The relationship is growing. It's about that
- 20:45Speaker 1: time you know that the next step is marriage. What
- 20:49Speaker 1: do you do? Didn't Steve tell you to stop doing
- 20:53Speaker 1: this several times day? It's life every like every month,
- 21:01Speaker 1: you do what he said. I didn't try something new, Steve,
- 21:10Speaker 1: you got that for sure, for sure. He ain't heard.
- 21:14Speaker 1: He's so unmoved by this. Hear it all right because
- 21:18Speaker 1: he felt that way about all they is a good doing.
- 21:22Speaker 1: The relationship but to get bad after the wind is
- 21:26Speaker 1: a good doing. The relationship coming out right after this
- 21:31Speaker 1: sun tapped with a brank phone call. We'll be back.
- 21:34Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Hey, Tommy,
- 21:39Speaker 1: it's Friday. How you feeling I'm feeling? Oh my goodness?
- 21:45Speaker 1: Are you ready? I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm ready. I'm ready.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Who we got because coming up in about twenty minutes
- 21:50Speaker 1: after the hour, we're going to play? Are you smarter
- 21:54Speaker 1: than nephew? Tommy? There's no aposso all way? God, please
- 21:58Speaker 1: come on smart people call us? Uh. Up for grabs
- 22:01Speaker 1: is a chance to win Steve's grand prize of one
- 22:04Speaker 1: million dollars. That's appealing and you can't play unless you
- 22:09Speaker 1: register at Steve Harvey f M dot com. Are you smarter?
- 22:15Speaker 1: Right now? The King of Pranks is in here. Uh
- 22:18Speaker 1: he's gonna run that frank back. What you got nav?
- 22:20Speaker 1: King of Pranks? Hello? Hello, I'm trying to reach Uh Gary, Gary?
- 22:29Speaker 1: Who's this? Hello? Who's this? Hey? This is Tony Man.
- 22:33Speaker 1: I work with your wife. Pam's all right. Oh she's fine,
- 22:38Speaker 1: she's fine. Man. I'm I'm one of a co workers. Man,
- 22:41Speaker 1: I wanted to reach out to you. You know, I've
- 22:43Speaker 1: been working with it quite some time. I'm kind of
- 22:45Speaker 1: like what they called her work husband. Man. You may
- 22:47Speaker 1: have heard her mentioned me before, Tony. Wait wait wait wait,
- 22:51Speaker 1: back up, back up, because I may be a little sleep.
- 22:54Speaker 1: What did you say a husband? No? No, no, no, no,
- 22:57Speaker 1: no no no, nothing like that. Man. It ain't but
- 22:59Speaker 1: one husband. Okay, now I got that. I'm a work husband,
- 23:02Speaker 1: you know, you know like that, you know, just some
- 23:04Speaker 1: something playful at the job. They'd be saying, work. What
- 23:09Speaker 1: are you talking about? Well, you know, just just something
- 23:11Speaker 1: you know, playful. They' be saying, you know, uh, when
- 23:14Speaker 1: you hang around somebody a lot this that you should
- 23:15Speaker 1: work husband or your work wife. You know, something like that.
- 23:18Speaker 1: But no, nothing nothing, nothing heavy, nothing heavy at all. Man,
- 23:22Speaker 1: All right, what's what's up? Man? I mean what's up? Well?
- 23:25Speaker 1: I was calling man, trying to ask you how long? Um?
- 23:29Speaker 1: How long are you paying been married? Wait? Wait, what's
- 23:32Speaker 1: what's your name again? My name is Tony? Okay, um,
- 23:36Speaker 1: we've been married about eight or nine years? And what's up?
- 23:39Speaker 1: How long do you do? Uh? If you don't mind
- 23:42Speaker 1: me asking, how much longer do you see y'all? Y'all
- 23:45Speaker 1: being married. I kind of do mind you that. Okay,

- 31:13Speaker 1: Number four, I'm not in this. Number four women who
- 31:16Speaker 1: can't cook whatever. I want your little wheel to five
- 31:21Speaker 1: people who come to your house unexpected. I like that
- 31:24Speaker 1: one a lot. I really like that's fun, the wheel fun. Alright,
- 31:28Speaker 1: let's go cat, it's better not start cook it. Number
- 31:41Speaker 1: three you got way too much with me, start this
- 31:45Speaker 1: bad buy off. First of all, you know you got
- 31:48Speaker 1: way too much weed if you spend the entire day,
- 31:52Speaker 1: all day, all day the day doing this right here,
- 32:00Speaker 1: what I'll tell you what I know people like this.
- 32:10Speaker 1: You got way too much weed when you leave him,
- 32:13Speaker 1: when you leave the bathroom and we mistake you for
- 32:16Speaker 1: the dog, the dog, get the dog, Steve. You know
- 32:24Speaker 1: you got too much weed when you're spending the majority
- 32:27Speaker 1: of your time hatten you like you're trying to thank us.
- 32:35Speaker 1: You know you got way way too much weak. Well,
- 32:40Speaker 1: we can't keep nothing hot nex to your because that
- 32:45Speaker 1: time you sit around, we got to worry about to
- 32:48Speaker 1: catch you on fire. We can't lighten up round on

- 33:06Speaker 1: use the yard rate. We got to get this rake
- 33:11Speaker 1: too much much we come. You got too much weed

- 34:05Speaker 1: You got too much we ad if you didn't got
- 34:09Speaker 1: into church play and they want you to be cousin.
- 34:20Speaker 1: And she's here. The talented miss and Trip during an
- 34:27Speaker 1: interview yesterday with CNBC the President directly addressed federal reserve policy,
- 34:32Speaker 1: criticizing the Central banks central banks decision rather to raise
- 34:36Speaker 1: interest rates. I'm not thrilled because you know, we go up,
- 34:39Speaker 1: and every time you go up, they want to raise
- 34:41Speaker 1: rates again, and I don't really I am not happy
- 34:44Speaker 1: about it. It's extremely unusual for presidents to comment on
- 34:48Speaker 1: federal policy, but Trump said he couldn't care less. Meanwhile,
- 34:52Speaker 1: as the President continues to face criticism from both sides
- 34:54Speaker 1: of the aisle over his private sit down with Russian
- 34:56Speaker 1: President Vladimir Putin, where it comes at, Trump has extended
- 34:59Speaker 1: in an vitation for Putin to visit the White House
- 35:02Speaker 1: this fall during the election season, as a follow up
- 35:05Speaker 1: to their get together in Helsinki. You may remember on Monday,
- 35:07Speaker 1: Trump was bragging about what he called Putin's incredible offer
- 35:10Speaker 1: to have US investigators go to Moscow to meet the
- 35:13Speaker 1: twelve Russian military intelligence officers who have been indicted in
- 35:16Speaker 1: this country for meddling in the election in twenty sixteen.
- 35:19Speaker 1: The catch being then in return, Russia gets to interview
- 35:22Speaker 1: a you, a former U S ambassador or congressional aid
- 35:25Speaker 1: and some other Americans whom Moscow says are tied to
- 35:28Speaker 1: a businessman whose lobby for sanction against them. Well, the U. S.
- 35:32Speaker 1: State Department calls the Kremlin's allegations absurd. In fact, the
- 35:35Speaker 1: whole Senate, Republicans and Democrats, voted in favor yesterday unanimously
- 35:39Speaker 1: of a resolution stating that they're opposed to the idea
- 35:42Speaker 1: that the US would turn over any Americans for questioning
- 35:44Speaker 1: by the Russians. Would senate democratically to Chuck Schumer, saying
- 35:48Speaker 1: no president should have the power to gift wrapped American citizens.
- 35:52Speaker 1: Donald Trump are now reportedly disagrees, by the way, with
- 35:54Speaker 1: Putin's offered, according to his press secretary. In the fall
- 35:59Speaker 1: of body of between three year old black man found
- 36:01Speaker 1: in a small Georgia town about forty miles north of Atlanta,
- 36:04Speaker 1: the sheriff said the victim, Timothy Coggins, had been killed
- 36:07Speaker 1: in a quote racist hate crime. However, last October, over
- 36:10Speaker 1: thirty years later, breaking the case came the rest of
- 36:13Speaker 1: two white men. Now one of them, six year old
- 36:15Speaker 1: Frank Geppard, has been found guilty. He since the thirty
- 36:18Speaker 1: years in prison. The other defendant, his brother in law,
- 36:20Speaker 1: facing trial later this year. They think DeepArt thought his
- 36:23Speaker 1: white girlfriend may have been messing around with the victim
- 36:26Speaker 1: a man the verge of confirmation to be a federal
- 36:28Speaker 1: Appeals Court judge, and the Nice Circuit has now withdrawn
- 36:31Speaker 1: his nomination. Democrats have long criticized Ryan Bounds's nomination, signing
- 36:35Speaker 1: his allegedly racist writings. And finally, today is National nap Day,
- 36:40Speaker 1: So take a cool one. We'll be back with more
- 36:43Speaker 1: entertainment coming up at twenty minutes after the hour. Are
- 36:45Speaker 1: you Smarter than Nephew? Tommy? Check it out on the

- 55:08Speaker 1: Please buggle up and hold on time. We got it
- 55:11Speaker 1: for you here. It is the Strawberry Letter subject he
- 55:15Speaker 1: had me fooled. Dear Stephen Shirley. I have been dating
- 55:18Speaker 1: a guy for a year, and he treats me really nice.
- 55:22Speaker 1: We live in a neighbor We live in neighboring states,
- 55:24Speaker 1: but we're less than an hour apart, so I wouldn't
- 55:27Speaker 1: consider it a long distance relationship. We see each other
- 55:30Speaker 1: a few times a week, and either I'm at his
- 55:33Speaker 1: house or he's at mine on the weekend. I assumed
- 55:36Speaker 1: we were in an exclusive, admitted relationship until recently. The
- 55:41Speaker 1: other day, he was trying to show me a picture
- 55:44Speaker 1: on his phone, and he mistakenly pulled up a picture
- 55:47Speaker 1: of another woman. He tried to quickly wipe past picture.
- 55:53Speaker 1: Every man, just you tried quickly slide passive picture, but
- 56:03Speaker 1: he knew I had seen it. I didn't make a
- 56:05Speaker 1: fuss about the picture. I asked him to delete it,
- 56:08Speaker 1: and he did. But seeing the woman's picture on his
- 56:11Speaker 1: phone made me wonder about the nature of our relationship,
- 56:15Speaker 1: so I asked him if we were exclusive. His response
- 56:19Speaker 1: broke my heart. He stated that before he met me,
- 56:22Speaker 1: he was in a very serious relationship and had had
- 56:26Speaker 1: a bad breakup. He said he was not ready to
- 56:29Speaker 1: be in another relationship right now. Can you believe that
- 56:32Speaker 1: I have met this man's entire family and we all
- 56:36Speaker 1: get along great. He had me fooled. I will admit
- 56:39Speaker 1: that I'm not ready to be married right now, but
- 56:42Speaker 1: I still want to date with a purpose and not
- 56:44Speaker 1: just be wasting time on this man. So is the
- 56:47Speaker 1: committed relationship title just to play on words. I don't
- 56:51Speaker 1: want to stop seeing this man. But I did hear
- 56:54Speaker 1: him loud and clear when he said he's not ready?
- 56:56Speaker 1: What should I do? Well? What should you do? What
- 56:59Speaker 1: do you want? I mean, really, what do you want
- 57:01Speaker 1: in this relationship or out of this relationship? You said?
- 57:04Speaker 1: You don't want to get married right now. You said
- 57:07Speaker 1: you do want to date with a purpose, So if
- 57:09Speaker 1: that's what you want, you gotta let him know that.
- 57:12Speaker 1: But he's already told you, and you said you heard
- 57:14Speaker 1: him loudly and clearly that he's not ready to be
- 57:17Speaker 1: in a committed relationship. So you have to make the decision.
- 57:20Speaker 1: This is entirely up to you. You've been dating this
- 57:23Speaker 1: man for a whole year. Now again, what do you
- 57:26Speaker 1: want If you don't want it to continue like this,
- 57:29Speaker 1: you have choices. You can either get out of the
- 57:32Speaker 1: relationship or you can just change some things in the
- 57:35Speaker 1: way you deal with him. If you're thinking it's a
- 57:38Speaker 1: committed relationship and it's not, uh, maybe you should start
- 57:41Speaker 1: seeing other people, or you know, or something like that.
- 57:44Speaker 1: Maybe you should really do what you want to do,
- 57:47Speaker 1: but first you need to find out what that is.
- 57:49Speaker 1: You say you don't want to be married, but you
- 57:51Speaker 1: do want to date with a purpose. He's not ready
- 57:53Speaker 1: to do either of those things. So maybe he's just
- 57:55Speaker 1: not the guy for you at this time. Steve, I
- 58:01Speaker 1: don't know. I kind of see this a little bit
- 58:04Speaker 1: differently here. I have a different take because from the
- 58:07Speaker 1: male perspective. I can really kind of understand what this
- 58:11Speaker 1: dude is saying. Um, let's go over the letter a
- 58:15Speaker 1: little bit here. Uh, I've been dating this man for
- 58:19Speaker 1: about a year. He's really nice. We live in neighboring states,
- 58:23Speaker 1: so you don't consider long this relationship. You're at this
- 58:25Speaker 1: house several times a weekend. He's at your house several
- 58:28Speaker 1: times a weekend. You in mind, he's at mine on
- 58:30Speaker 1: the weekends. Here we go. I assumed we were in
- 58:35Speaker 1: an exclusive, committed relationship until recently the other day. Now,
- 58:41Speaker 1: let's go over this assume What did they tell you
- 58:44Speaker 1: all the time about as sooner? Assuming usually makes an
- 58:48Speaker 1: ass out of you and me. That's what assumed is
- 58:52Speaker 1: Now what has happened is you've assumed you been a year.
- 58:56Speaker 1: You could have verbally got this clip, You could have
- 58:58Speaker 1: this conversation a long time ago. You never bought it up,
- 59:02Speaker 1: you assumed. And till the other day, he was trying
- 59:06Speaker 1: to show me a picture on his phone and he
- 59:08Speaker 1: mistakenly pulling a picture of another woman. God when he
- 59:15Speaker 1: when as soon as his thumb hit that you felt
- 59:26Speaker 1: for him, he blinked. He took a heavy blink. He
- 59:32Speaker 1: was trying to swipe. He swiped past it, but his
- 59:37Speaker 1: thumb was shaking. She saw it. After she saw the picture,
- 59:45Speaker 1: and he knew you saw it. You didn't make a
- 59:47Speaker 1: fuss about it, Okay, the ture woman. I asked him
- 59:50Speaker 1: to delete it, and he did, no problem. Okay, I'm out. Yeah,
- 59:54Speaker 1: let me take that out. Because if that picture could
- 59:57Speaker 1: have been a year old, you never know. You just
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: don't know. So he deleted the picture. But it made
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: me wonder about the nature of our relationship. So I
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: asked him if we were exclusive. His response broke my heart.
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: He stated that before he met me, he was in
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: a very serious relationship and had a bad break up. Now,
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: let me ask you something you didn't You didn't know
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: that a year you you didn't know that he was
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: in a serious relationship and he had a bad breakup
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: a year and this response startled you. A year of
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: assuming you were exclusive, you didn't bring that up. Now
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: he tells you for the first time, he was in
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: a serious relationship, had a bad break up a year before.
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: You didn't met his family. I got all that, YadA
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: YadA YadA. That's good, but damn, this really kind of
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: on you too. Now he's that he was not ready
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: to be in another relationship right now, serious, full blown,
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: committed relationship. Then you try to fix it, then you go,
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: can you believe that? Yeah, y'all believe believe. The problem
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: is why you're having a hard time believe it. But
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: if you had heard this information a year ago, nine
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: months ago, maybe you would have made some other decisions.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: I met this man's in time family, We get along grade.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: He had me food. He didn't fool you. This man
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: ain't fooled you at all. This man ain't lied to you.
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: This man ain't deceived you. He didn't fool you. You
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: are soon. Then after a year, you asked him what
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: you exclusive. He said he was in a bad relationship
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: a man, lady, He didn't fool you. Stop saying this
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: about him. You trick yourself. I'll tell you why, right,
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: trick yourself, right, tricky comments on that phone. All right,
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: we're gonna have part two of Steve's response coming up
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: at twenty three after the hour. You're listening to Steve
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, come on, let's get
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: to part two of your response to today's Strawberry Letters
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: subject he had me fooled? Well, he didn't have you fool,
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: You've been dating this man for a year. Treat you
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: really nice. You live in neighboring states, no more than
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: an hour part, so it's really not long disrelationship. You
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: that hit his house and he at yours on the weekend,
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: all doing the week I assumed we were an exclusive,
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: committed relationship. I told you about Assumer. You should not
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: have assumed. He's trying to show you a picture on
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: his phone, and he mistakenly pulled up a picture of
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: another woman. God, God, I passed out for a minute.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: Really good, Really yeah, I'm trying to him bad. You
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: should have dropped that phone down the sewer, alright, So
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: he tried to quickly swipe past the picture, but he
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: knew I had seen it. I ain't making fuss about
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: the peach. I asked him to delete it, and he did.
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: But seeing the woman's pitching his phone, it kind of
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: made you wonder. So I asked him were we exclusive
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: after a year? A year? His response broke a heart.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: He stated that before he met me, he was in
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: a very serious relationship and had a bad break up.
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: How y'all just talking about this after year? He said
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: he was not ready for another relationship right now? How
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: y'all just talking about this after year? Then you ask me,
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: can you believe that? Yeah, if you ain't never talked
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: about it, don't assume nothing about a minute. You have
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: every right to want to know where your life is going. Ladies,
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: and I have told you this over and over and over.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: You have the right to ask a man what is
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: going on here? He will tell you. Now he told you,
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: and yes, I can't believe that, but you can't believe
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: it because you assume something else. So now I have
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: met this man's in time family. We all get along great.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: That means he cares about you. He'd have took you
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: to meet his family. He had me fooled, No, he didn't.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: You fooled yourself because all you you would have had
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: this conversation that you had just now. You could have
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: had this conversation eleven months ago, ten months ago, you
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: could have easily had that. Now here, here, go to park.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: I will admit that I'm not ready to be married
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: right now. Okay, cool, So what you're tripping for? He
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: ain't ready, You ain't ready, But y'all having a good
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: time going and continue the relationship. He's not ready, and
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: you're not ready. So now that you've ben through that
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: bone to the dog, but she wants today with purpose.
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: Don't forget that. I'm gonna get to that. But I
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: still want to date with a purpose and not just
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: be wasting time on this man. Y'all are dating with
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: a purpose. You all have found each other. Neither one
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: of you are ready to be in a uh. You
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: don't want to be married. He ain't ready to be
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: in a no serious relationship. But y'all in something. Ain't
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: you getting something out of it? And he getting something
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: out of it? Y'all in something. What y'all need to
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: do is sit down and define what it is you're
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: in because you're in it now, you've been in it
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: for a year. You in something. It's just y'all ain't
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: got no time. You ain't his fiance. You're too old
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: to be a girl friend, but right now you're his girlfriend.
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: You're his girl and y'all friends, and you have met
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: his family. Too old be somebody damn girlfriend. So you
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: want to date with a purpose. He dating with a purpose.
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: He's getting what he wants. You're dating with a purpose.
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: You're getting what you want. It's just assumed you assumed
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: you want had more, but you just said you ain't
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: even ready for it. Yeah, he said it, but I
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: still want to date with the person, not just be wasted.
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: So it's the committed in quotation. The committed relationship title
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: just a play on words. You never had this conversation
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: with the man until now committed relationship. He didn't say
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: he didn't want to be in a committed relationship. He
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: said he didn't want to be in a serious relationship.
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: That has a difference. You could be committed to somebody
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: and not be serious. Hello, what preach on it? I'm
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: gonna just tell you you could be in a committed
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: relationship and not be sick thing. I don't want to
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: stop seeing in this man don't, but I do. Hear
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: him loud and clear when he said he's not ready,
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: but you said you wasn't ready. That's somebody lying, somebody
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: lying in this letter, he's not ready, You're not ready.
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: Why don't y'all make it work? Define your relationship, find
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: out what it is, and see if it will ever
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: lead to anything. What you could possibly do? But then
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: guess what, Since you heard him loud and clear, he
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: may not be ready for a serious relationship for a
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: long time. Hello, and let me explain something else to you.
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: Deleting the picture don't mean she gonna come out, don't.
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: I don't, don't. Don't tell you boom. Somebody listened to
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: me just caused the picture got deleted. Don't mean she

- 1:08:40Speaker 1: your mind. Moving sometime. Yeah, trying to start nothing, but

- 1:17:07Speaker 1: big We're gonna play. Are you smarter than nephew, Tommy?
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Show. Personality is more
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: important than looks to most people. While a lot of
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: us are overly concerned about how we look, especially when
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: it comes to finding a mate, it turns out looks
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: really art everything. In fact, a New Planet Fitness Valentine's
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: Day pole finds that ninety two percent of people say
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: they prefer a partner with a good personality to one
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: with a great body. Overall of people say they're looking
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: for a partner with a good personality, while seventy six
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: percent want one with a sense of humor. There you go,
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: Steve with a positive attitude and seventy open mindedness six
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: also important characteristics for mate. So I gotta ask you, Steve,
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: I gotta ask junior aunt Tommy. You guys trying into
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: what's the most important thing you're looking for in your
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: significant other? And really how important our looks. Personality is critical,
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: It's absolutely critical. But I'm gonna need you to be
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: cute too, though, thank you, because of what I'm not
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: gonna be doing is sitting up in here with your
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: glass just cause you nice, because you got a nice person.
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: I'm not going to up and do all that. You know,
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: I got you nice, but you know you're you're, you're,
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: you're horrid. That used to be the standard. If someone
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: wasn't cute that you'd ask him are they cute? You say, well,
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: they have a nice personality. I mean it was ugly,
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: that's all that meant right away. But now I would
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: prefer personality over you said a great body. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: because my body got flaws. I can accept the flaw
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: on your body. There ain't no problem. A couple of flaws,
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: you know, so I ain't worried about that. And it
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: was nice in the face though. Yeah, just roll rolling
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: over every morning look looking at that. No, no, no,
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: I'm gonna do something now until def do us party
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: kill me, you die. I'm not gonna do is die
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: every morning you wake up well, I mean yeah, I
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: mean for you out of make up, to resemble the
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: person in makeup that Okay, so we know men are visual.
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: We got that men are very visual. Women are too, sure, okay,
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: and that's what that's what I was coming to. And
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: you guys, all of you guys, well, with the exception
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: of Tommy, you guys say you're not cute. So where
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: are we now? No, I'm not. We still with them
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: not cute and I'm just cute? What what what? Tommy,
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: You're not You're not gonna make me ugly. It ain't
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: make you that way, Tommy, We're not you know, Okay, okay, okay, Tommy,
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: let me ask you a question. List your flaws. Damn
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: my flower. You might take a minute talking. My shoulders
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: ain't like nice. You know, my hand strings. Of course,
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: it's gone to hell. See your shoulders ain't ain't good.
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: Ain't like my shoulders. Now you got brought you wide?
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: Now you wide. I ain't got that. I ain't got that.

- 1:20:39Speaker 1: so far it's your shoulders, sage shoulders and she come
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: on listen. First of all, I'm not short, but short
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: can be sexy, so let's not let's not kill that. Okay,
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: you don't have to be tall to be sexy. Now
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: I'm not tall, but I'm not sure. No, women don't
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: have to be tall to be sexy. No, I'm not
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: telling about women. I'm telling about people period. There's women. Yeah,
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: there's people. There's short, there's short they're short sexy women,
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: and there's good looking short of men. What are you
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: talking about? What we We're just at the shoulders now,
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: go ahead, go ahead and finish your shoulders. What else wrong?

- 1:21:42Speaker 1: Doesn't need help, Steve, because okay here you high behind.
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: I don't have a high behind. I don't claim you
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: can't see your lower back. It times when you put
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: your belt on, if your belt buckle is lower then
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: the top of your a. What do you think that's from?
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: I'm just bad bills, bad built. It's what you bad
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: belts belt, Tommy, Tommy, Tommy, let me help you with
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: you with your shortcomings. Your flaws is your shoulders. You

- 1:29:24Speaker 1: your jobs keep you up at night? Or you know?
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: Is it if they do? Is it constant or just
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: a case. My exhaustion for my jobs is when I
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: run up into stupidity. That's the only thing I get
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: exhausted for. I don't I've you know, I've really found
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: out over the years. I don't really care for stupid.
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: I really don't, and I can't even I can't even

- 1:29:53Speaker 1: don't know what we're supposed to do with that information.
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: So it's just important information that you know about me
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: and my job. My job. I love my job. Look,
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: I tell jokes for a living and play music. All
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: of my jobs to have an element of meat, using
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: my God given talent. So I love my work. Just
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: the things that surround my work, Like when you stupid,
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: I just can't stand that. Man? Is that brown? No jay,
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: good jay? Ignorant different from ignorant stupid? And when you're
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: doing stuff that ain't attached to nothing and just has
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: no rhyme or reason, but you standy doing Oh, anyone
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: in particular in mind er, just anyone at the job. Really.
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: I know I didn't think he was gonna say you honestly, Um, okay,
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: why would I say? It's uncomfortable right now? Why you're uncomfortable?
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: You're not stupid, I know, I know. You just don't
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: like the way it goes into the shell when you
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: call him stupid. But let him go in there. When
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: you go into the shell, case same stupid. He's here working.
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: What are you gonna do? He's working. I'm right hello, everyone,
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: I'm here. I'm right here. Yeah, yeah, okay, I'm right here.

- 1:32:12Speaker 1: All right, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: Well this Monday morning, the winning continues at seven twenty eastern,
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: six twenties Central. We are giving away a chance to
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: win Steve Harvey's grand prize of one million dollars. That
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: is big. We're gonna play are you smarter than Nephew Tommy.
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: We love to hear your inspirational closing remarks. Steve, your
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: motivational closing remarks, and I got one for you today.
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: I own. I think it's important that everybody, everybody really
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: really up your expectations in two thousand eighteen. I mean
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: really really focusing focus on upping your expectations for two
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: thousand eighteen. Um this year, really put a positive twist
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: on your life. You can do that, man, you can.
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: You can up your expectations. You have to say so
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: in your outcome. But you have to adjust the attitude.
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: You've got to think positive. You've got to focus on
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: the positive things that's happening in your life. You have
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: to take inventory constantly of everything that's going right in
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: your life. Stop focusing on the negative. Everybody got something wrong.
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: That's not a person living that ain't got something wrong.
- 1:33:43Speaker 1: So what Yeah you got something wrong. Yeah you're not
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: where you wanna be, But guess what you can be
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: on your way. And that's the thing that people lose
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: focus of. Sometimes they get so caught up into where
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: they are now that they lose focus on their where
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: they could be going, where you're headed, where you're at now.
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: Let me explain something to you about right now. Right
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: now is a very fleeting moment because let's say you're
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: talking about something now, do you know, in in just
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: want sixty seconds, is now a part of the past.
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: It doesn't matter where you are, it's where you're going.
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: Don't get stuck in where you are. Somebody sent me
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: a plaque one time, and I keep it on my
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: desk in Atlanta, and I was going through a real, real,
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: real dog period in my life. And he's a friend
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: of mine, and he knew it. He's an accountant, as
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: a matter of fact, is Rogers Salted. And what I'm
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: saying my financial up in Chicago, and he knew I
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: was going through a dog dog period in my life,
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: and he sent me a plaque and I keep it
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: on my desk, and the plaque said, when you're going
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: through hell, just keep going. And that register it with me,
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: because why would you be going through hell and stop there?
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: So you're just gonna put it on park in the
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: middle of hell, or doesn't make sense to keep going
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: because it just ties into what I'm telling you. It
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: doesn't matter where you are, it's where you're going. You've
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: got to get your focus on on on on two
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: thousand and eighteen to move in the right direction. I'm
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: gonna give you the scripture again in case all of
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: you is something I read all the time. It's He
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: Feeds three twenty and I read it every day. You know,
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: I memorize it. But it says God will do exceedingly
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: and abundantly above all that I ask or think, because
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: I honor Him, His blessings will chase me down and
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: overtake me. I will be in the right place at
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: the right time. People will go out of their way
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: to be good to me. I am surrounded by God's favor.
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: This is my declaration. If you read this every day
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: and you implement this once again. It's e Feesians three twenty.
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: Now I I got the you know Bible with the
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: four different translations in it, so I can understand what
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: I'm saying. So this is not the King James version
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: I gave you. It's a translation of what it actually means.
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: But memorizing the scription for how what it means is
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: what you need. You don't gotta go word for word.
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: You need to get the meaning of it. Don't trip
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: on that other part right there. But if you incorporate
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: this in your life on a day to day, you'd
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: be amazed what can happen to you. You all can
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: put your life into the realm of expectation. I expect
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: good things to happen to me. Even when something bad
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: happens to me, I still look for something good to
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: happen to me, and it always does. I don't care
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: what mistake I've made. God has always gotten me through it,
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: and he's done the exact same thing for you. He's
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: always gotten you through it. Just look at your life.
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: All that stuff you thought you wasn't gonna make it through.
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: He got you, man, He pulled you through it somehow.
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: All them days you didn't think you was gonna make it.
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: You remember where you was, and they're looking at where
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: you at now. Now. If you think that you're in
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: a worse place now than you were in your past,
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: why don't you get back to that expect something good
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: to happen to you. Live a life filled with positive expectations.
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: Don't do not bury yourself by going through hell and
- 1:37:35Speaker 1: then staying there. Some people cannot get out of their
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: misery because they won't care quit acknowledging the misery. Look,
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: if the Bible says a man is as he thinking,
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: and all you ever think is old woe is me,
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: then guess what old woe is me? But if you
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: look for the upside, the bright side, if you look
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: up for and and live a life and expectation that
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: there's some good out there for you, then good comes
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: your way. It's that's the way it is. That's not
- 1:38:10Speaker 1: a theory of mine. That's a promise of God. I
- 1:38:15Speaker 1: ain't up in his spew and nothing I think I'd
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: have seen this stuff work for me. You know how
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: many public mistakes I've made, y'all have been watching me, y'all, y'all,
- 1:38:25Speaker 1: it's been fans of minds for years you all have
- 1:38:28Speaker 1: seen the evolution of me. Now, he ain't through with
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: me yet, but you've seen me back when I was this,
- 1:38:35Speaker 1: when I was that, when I made that mistake, when
- 1:38:38Speaker 1: I made this mistake. But you know what, I never
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: allowed the mistakes to bury me or define me. I
- 1:38:45Speaker 1: expected something good to happen. And guess what I've recovered
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: from them all. He's pulled me through them all here
- 1:38:52Speaker 1: through the same thing. For you, Effeesian three toys. Start
- 1:38:55Speaker 1: reading it every day, man, and live your life in
- 1:38:57Speaker 1: a positive expectation. You better say that and have a
