- 2:52Speaker 2: steady complaining about the reason you are, you know, if
- 2:56Speaker 2: I hadn't met this man, if I hadn't have been
- 2:58Speaker 2: involved with this woman, And if I hadn't have had
- 3:01Speaker 2: this baby, if I had never went down there, if
- 3:04Speaker 2: I hadn't have got arrested, if I hadn't this, if
- 3:06Speaker 2: I hadn't it at, if I had a just finished school,
- 3:09Speaker 2: if I had to Hey, hey, hey, hey, stop stop
- 3:13Speaker 2: all that stuff that you're complaining about, everything that you
- 3:18Speaker 2: keep allowing to resonate with you as a reason to
- 3:22Speaker 2: justify and explain you not being successful. Can I share
- 3:26Speaker 2: something with you about all of that? Guess what it is?
- 3:30Speaker 2: You done got past all of it. You didn't have
- 3:33Speaker 2: the baby, you got arrested, they didn't kill you, you
- 3:37Speaker 2: didn't finish school, but you're still standing. You met that man,
- 3:41Speaker 2: he gone, He involved with you other women right now,
- 3:43Speaker 2: I got three other kids. Guess what. You still here
- 3:47Speaker 2: and the babies here. You got over all the injustices
- 3:51Speaker 2: that were done to you. You got something happened to
- 3:53Speaker 2: you when you was a kid. You're an adult now.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Somebody did something to you when you was a little boy.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Guess what, man, Now, some things happen to you that
- 4:03Speaker 2: you haven't found closure on. The person that you're looking
- 4:07Speaker 2: for closure from has moved on. Can I tell you
- 4:11Speaker 2: that everything that has happened to you, do you know
- 4:14Speaker 2: you've gotten pasted it? So why are you steady complaining
- 4:19Speaker 2: about what has happened to you that has caused you
- 4:22Speaker 2: to be in this position? But do you understand that
- 4:25Speaker 2: it's prohibiting you from moving forward? Stop complaining today, catch fire,
- 4:29Speaker 2: Let your pass be your past. I've told this to
- 4:32Speaker 2: you one hundred times on this radio, but I'm gonna
- 4:34Speaker 2: say it again. Bishop Jakes told me something man that
- 4:37Speaker 2: helped me so greatly. You can't drive your car if
- 4:42Speaker 2: you gonna keep looking in the rear view mirror. That's
- 4:46Speaker 2: why the windshield is huge. The windshield is huge. The
- 4:51Speaker 2: rearview mirror is this tiny thing that sits up there.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Now all is far. It's so you can see stuff
- 4:58Speaker 2: that's coming up on you. All the rearview mirror for
- 5:02Speaker 2: is so you can assure yourself. Oh, listen to this.
- 5:06Speaker 2: The realview mirror is imp there to assure you that
- 5:09Speaker 2: you've cleared something.
- 5:12Speaker 3: See.
- 5:12Speaker 2: That's what the rearview mirrors for. So when you pass
- 5:14Speaker 2: the can you want to switch lanes, you can glance
- 5:17Speaker 2: up there and it says, okay, you're clear. Now you
- 5:20Speaker 2: passed it. You can switch lanes. That's all the rearview
- 5:23Speaker 2: mirrors for. It ain't for you to stare at and
- 5:26Speaker 2: dictate your life with what you're tripping for. Man, catch
- 5:29Speaker 2: fire today today, Man, quit complaining about everything that did
- 5:35Speaker 2: happened to you. Life is ten percent. What happens to
- 5:38Speaker 2: you is ninety percent. What you do about what happens
- 5:40Speaker 2: to you? What are you going to do about it?
- 5:44Speaker 2: So what I got all this? Look, man, your story
- 5:47Speaker 2: ain't no deeper than nobody else's. I can tell you
- 5:50Speaker 2: I was homeless for three years. It's people been homeless
- 5:53Speaker 2: for thirty years. How long I'm gonna ride that out?
- 5:58Speaker 9: Man?
- 5:58Speaker 2: You know I can't do nothing right now. I fell
- 6:01Speaker 2: on hard times and I lost my place to stay.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Where you staying now? See, the majority of people are
- 6:09Speaker 2: staying somewhere right now. I was out there. I didn't
- 6:12Speaker 2: have nowhere to go. I'm in a shelter. Now. You
- 6:15Speaker 2: was under the bridge a week aldgo you int shelter?
- 6:18Speaker 10: Now?
- 6:18Speaker 2: Why you still crying about the bridge? You in a
- 6:22Speaker 2: shelter now?
- 6:25Speaker 9: Man.
- 6:26Speaker 2: You know how you find your purpose? You get in
- 6:29Speaker 2: touch with who created you. Because when God made you,
- 6:35Speaker 2: he had a purpose. In mind. Now we've ignored it
- 6:38Speaker 2: and we haven't tapped into it. But we all had
- 6:41Speaker 2: a purpose. You don't, and it's sometimes it takes people
- 6:43Speaker 2: be longing to discover the purpose. Colonel Sanders was frying
- 6:48Speaker 2: chicken with a recipe that he was telling people was
- 6:52Speaker 2: the best chicken in the world. Ain't nobody believe him
- 6:55Speaker 2: till he turned seventy. Why you think the dude that's
- 7:00Speaker 2: on the Kentucky Fried Chicken signs is old. That dude
- 7:04Speaker 2: ain't twenty up there he oh, he oh, But you
- 7:08Speaker 2: know what, he had been frying that chicken for forty
- 7:13Speaker 2: some years. They just found out about it when he
- 7:17Speaker 2: was seventy. But he didn't give up his purpose in life.
- 7:22Speaker 2: This dude was just frying chicken. See, people keep looking
- 7:25Speaker 2: for their gifts in all kinds of places when it's
- 7:27Speaker 2: right there in you. You ain't got to go to
- 7:29Speaker 2: school to find your gift. You're born with the gift
- 7:33Speaker 2: that God got for you. You'll go to school to
- 7:36Speaker 2: tack it on to something else. But your gift was
- 7:38Speaker 2: already given to you.
- 7:40Speaker 11: You were born with that.
- 7:41Speaker 2: You don't have to go to college to know your gift.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Your college allows you to enhance it and to find
- 7:46Speaker 2: something to attach it to, and hopefully you get a
- 7:48Speaker 2: degree that attaches your gift to a vehicle where it
- 7:52Speaker 2: can work. The problem with college is we go to
- 7:55Speaker 2: college and we attach it to what we like or
- 7:58Speaker 2: what we might be passionate about. Ignore a gift we have.
- 8:01Speaker 2: You know how many people and graduated from college ain't
- 8:03Speaker 2: doing nothing they went to college for. Come on, man,
- 8:06Speaker 2: you know why because you discover in life your gift.
- 8:09Speaker 2: You discover what you was born to do. I wasn't
- 8:12Speaker 2: bought you know what I mean? You know what my
- 8:13Speaker 2: major was in college? It was advertising. I can't be
- 8:17Speaker 2: at no death, drawing, no picture for nobody. But now
- 8:20Speaker 2: guess what I can wake up every day and guess
- 8:22Speaker 2: what I can tell you? I advertise. I've been advertising
- 8:26Speaker 2: my career. Come see me live. Come see me live
- 8:29Speaker 2: at Madison Square guard Come see me live at Phillips Winga.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Come see me live at Jokers Comedy Club. Come see
- 8:35Speaker 2: me live at Percys, Come see me live at Elisis Taviitt,
- 8:39Speaker 2: Come see me live. I've been advertising the whole time,
- 8:43Speaker 2: but I had a different purpose in mind because I
- 8:46Speaker 2: went and I talked to God and This is how
- 8:48Speaker 2: you do it. You go talk to God and say, hey, God, look, okay,
- 8:52Speaker 2: this is the deal. I've been struggling here. I'm over forty.
- 8:56Speaker 2: I still haven't found my purpose in life. Okay, but
- 9:00Speaker 2: so I can quit wasting any more time. Would you
- 9:03Speaker 2: help direct me and guide me to my purpose? I
- 9:06Speaker 2: know you created me to do something. I just haven't
- 9:09Speaker 2: found what it is. And the reason I haven't found
- 9:11Speaker 2: what it is because I've been doing things my way.
- 9:14Speaker 2: I ain't been checking what you confirm with you on anything.
- 9:17Speaker 2: I ain't locked in. I tried to settle it up
- 9:19Speaker 2: with you. I've been just doing my thing. Well, my
- 9:21Speaker 2: thing has gotten me as far as it can get me.
- 9:25Speaker 2: How about you take over and do your thing now?
- 9:28Speaker 2: Can you direct me in my path? I'm an open book.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Treat me like a piece of clay. I'm telling you, man,
- 9:34Speaker 2: if you go to God, he'll give it to you.
- 9:37Speaker 2: But see you have not because you ask not. How
- 9:41Speaker 2: many times have you asked God for it?
- 9:45Speaker 1: This ain't no.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Magic trick, y'all. This is the deal. You got to
- 9:49Speaker 2: catch fire today. Catch fire today, I am. I'm excited
- 9:53Speaker 2: about today. I've got a lot to do.
- 9:56Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, Apples and oranges, peaches
- 10:07Speaker 2: and pants, cherries and donuts. Hey, man, you know I
- 10:12Speaker 2: don't know what I said donuts, So let me just
- 10:14Speaker 2: tell you this quick story. I asked somebody for some donuts.
- 10:18Speaker 2: I said, Man, I really am looking for a good
- 10:21Speaker 2: gluten free donut. Well, first of all, there's no such
- 10:23Speaker 2: thing as a good gluten free donut. But they bought
- 10:29Speaker 2: me one that was decent. It was a red velvet donut.
- 10:32Speaker 2: And then they got another one from the same place
- 10:38Speaker 2: and it was a small glazed donut and it had
- 10:41Speaker 2: their multicolored sprinkles on it. I hate their multicolored sprinkles. Oh,
- 10:47Speaker 2: I can't dad that whoa look like? Nah, I look
- 10:52Speaker 2: like some little children's donut. And I just wanted to
- 10:57Speaker 2: say how hurt I was because I wanting a gluten
- 11:01Speaker 2: free donut. And then I want to say shout out
- 11:04Speaker 2: to my driver, Cliff, who I asked for a good
- 11:07Speaker 2: gluten free donut and he bought a white powdered sugar
- 11:10Speaker 2: donut for me, and it was outstanding. It was outstanding.
- 11:16Speaker 2: I got through eating nothing, I said, man, where did
- 11:17Speaker 2: you find that gluten free donut? He said that ain't
- 11:20Speaker 2: gluten free. Welcome to the Steve Arven Marner Show. Huli

- 14:55Speaker 15: mister Wilson, how are you today?
- 14:57Speaker 9: Who is it?
- 14:58Speaker 2: My name is WILLIAMS.
- 15:00Speaker 9: Oh how might help you?
- 15:01Speaker 10: Well?
- 15:02Speaker 15: Listen, we've been getting a few complaints or about some
- 15:06Speaker 15: things on your property there. Uh, actually I'm with the
- 15:10Speaker 15: homeowners Association. Wanted to reach out and give you a
- 15:13Speaker 15: call today.
- 15:14Speaker 9: Oh, well, how you doing pretty good.
- 15:17Speaker 15: Listen, got a few things I kind of wanted to
- 15:19Speaker 15: discuss with you here that seemed to be, uh, a
- 15:23Speaker 15: problem that's taking place in the neighborhood there. It's been
- 15:27Speaker 15: brought to our attention down here at headquarters that you
- 15:30Speaker 15: have a few things on your property that are are
- 15:33Speaker 15: not functioning that really shouldn't be on the property. You
- 15:37Speaker 15: have two cars supposedly in your driveway that are not
- 15:40Speaker 15: being used, been sitting there for quite some time.
- 15:42Speaker 9: But yeah, well one of them I'm currently working on.
- 15:44Speaker 9: I'm almost I should haven't repaired. I'm just waiting on
- 15:48Speaker 9: get waiting get a little extra money to get it
- 15:49Speaker 9: take care. The other car is just functioned and I
- 15:51Speaker 9: just don't drive. But I have more than one car.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Okay.
- 15:55Speaker 15: Now, you you also have a a a camper that
- 15:59Speaker 15: seems to be he has been there for at least
- 16:02Speaker 15: eight months now, that's that's sitting there.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Is that correct as well?
- 16:06Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, I'm working on getting some storage for that,
- 16:09Speaker 9: but it ain't really been there eight months, just maybe
- 16:11Speaker 9: around about six seven.
- 16:15Speaker 15: And uh, you know, I'm looking at our past records
- 16:18Speaker 15: and stuff. It seems like there was a complaint before
- 16:22Speaker 15: about the you know, keeping the yard uh pretty cut
- 16:26Speaker 15: and all of that kind of stuff. And I'm just
- 16:28Speaker 15: looking at past complaints that I have here. Now the
- 16:30Speaker 15: biggest one that I have that that's concerning your property, sir,
- 16:34Speaker 15: is uh, supposedly in your backyard.
- 16:37Speaker 2: Now there's a you have an old boat that's in
- 16:40Speaker 2: your backyard.
- 16:41Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, but I don't see that both bothering nobody.
- 16:45Speaker 2: Well, well, I mean it's it's it's kind of a
- 16:47Speaker 2: sore eye for the people.
- 16:48Speaker 10: I think.
- 16:49Speaker 15: I think you guys backyards actually bump up against each other,
- 16:53Speaker 15: and you guys have a chain link fence between the
- 16:55Speaker 15: two of you all, and I think the boat is
- 16:58Speaker 15: must be just a sore eye for the fan that's.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Behind you all.
- 17:01Speaker 9: Well, you know, I don't see myself getting rid of
- 17:04Speaker 9: that boat, so I gotta cover all that. Everybody else
- 17:08Speaker 9: got a boat, I don't see. What's the problem is.
- 17:10Speaker 15: Well, okay, here's here's what's actually happening, mister Wilson. What's
- 17:14Speaker 15: gonna take place is this. Now we're gonna give you
- 17:17Speaker 15: a fourteen day extension day fourteen days actually to move
- 17:24Speaker 15: the car that is not functioning, the camper as well,
- 17:27Speaker 15: and definitely the boat.
- 17:28Speaker 2: We need we're gonna need those three items.
- 17:30Speaker 9: We'll get cert serch. I ain't got no where to
- 17:33Speaker 9: move the boat. I just told you I was working
- 17:35Speaker 9: on so well for storage here, I'm a storage cost.
- 17:37Speaker 9: Now the boat, now, Kevin, I'll get that take care of.
- 17:40Speaker 9: But the boat. The boat, the boat my daddy gave me,
- 17:43Speaker 9: and my daddy gave me that. That's that's the only
- 17:44Speaker 9: thing my daddy gave me before he died. Now now,
- 17:47Speaker 9: I'm not moving that boat nowhere. The boat won't just fine.
- 17:50Speaker 9: If I take you down there.
- 17:51Speaker 15: To the water, it works, sir, and I understand it wholeheartedly.
- 17:55Speaker 15: You know, I'm basically I'm just a messenger I have.
- 17:59Speaker 15: I'm gonna have to get the non functioning car that's
- 18:02Speaker 15: not working properly. I'm gonna have to get that out
- 18:04Speaker 15: within a two week notice, as well as the camper
- 18:07Speaker 15: and definitely the boat.
- 18:08Speaker 2: Now, I gotta get that out. That's gotta be gone.
- 18:11Speaker 9: I'll tell you what. I ain't moving this thing. I'll
- 18:13Speaker 9: tell you that now. Well, what you're gonna do?
- 18:15Speaker 15: What turn Now? You gotta either move the boat. I'm
- 18:17Speaker 15: gonna have somebody come over and haul all of these
- 18:20Speaker 15: things away.
- 18:20Speaker 9: Well, I'll tell you what. I got thirteen reasons why
- 18:24Speaker 9: you won't come over and touch that boat, and I
- 18:26Speaker 9: got two two times thirteen twenty six. I got thirteen
- 18:30Speaker 9: and then I got another twenty six handed on to
- 18:33Speaker 9: that why you won't bring them want me to touch
- 18:36Speaker 9: my daddy boat because my daddy gave a nigga boll.
- 18:38Speaker 5: I be getting you.
- 18:40Speaker 9: You know I'm tired of you with me. It's a
- 18:43Speaker 9: cross street, ain't We're more reporting?
- 18:44Speaker 15: Because it was, sir, I'm not at liberty to give you.
- 18:46Speaker 15: Then who's reporting?
- 18:48Speaker 5: Come my ball?

- 21:44Speaker 6: Do you feel a mid morning slump and require a

- 22:21Speaker 13: Mary j Blige and Jenna Jackson we're not feeling each
- 22:25Speaker 13: other before they became friends. Pastor Marvin SAP's wife is
- 22:29Speaker 13: shutting down rumors that their church paid for their lavish wedding.
- 22:33Speaker 13: We'll talk about all of these stories at the top
- 22:35Speaker 13: of the hour, but right now it is time to
- 22:39Speaker 13: ask the CLO what.
- 22:42Speaker 1: Yes, we'll get into it.
- 22:44Speaker 13: Yeah, we'll get into it all right, Colo, here we go.
- 22:48Speaker 13: This is from Dnay and Trenton. Denay writes, my mom
- 22:52Speaker 13: is dating a married man. She thinks no one knows,
- 22:56Speaker 13: but I see the man's wife and she rolls her
- 22:58Speaker 13: eyes at me all the time. My mama is out
- 23:01Speaker 13: of control and it's embarrassing. Do I let her do
- 23:04Speaker 13: her or do I tell her she's doing way too much?
- 23:07Speaker 2: Now? If the mama is rolling the eyes at you,
- 23:13Speaker 2: where is it that you are all in contact with
- 23:17Speaker 2: all of them? This very much sounds like a church story.
- 23:23Speaker 2: Oh oh, you're thinking, I don't know know where that
- 23:26Speaker 2: you know my children go? That we go that That
- 23:31Speaker 2: sounds like a church story to.
- 23:33Speaker 13: Me, or.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Neighborhood church store.
- 23:40Speaker 2: What else? Yeah, your mama needs to chill though. Yeah, yeah,
- 23:45Speaker 2: you should tell you my mama she was cutting eyes
- 23:48Speaker 2: at me yesterday and you know why.
- 23:53Speaker 1: And just leave it at that.
- 23:54Speaker 2: And everybody else know too.
- 23:57Speaker 1: I like it all right?
- 24:00Speaker 13: Going to trust and Roswell, Trusta writes, my son took
- 24:03Speaker 13: a girl to her prom at her school. He has
- 24:06Speaker 13: a girlfriend at his school and didn't tell her before
- 24:09Speaker 13: he went to the prom with the other girl. His
- 24:12Speaker 13: girlfriend's dad came to talk to me about how I'm
- 24:15Speaker 13: raising my son. I'm doing the best I can, Steve.
- 24:19Speaker 13: How do I stop my son? How do I stop
- 24:21Speaker 13: my son's doggish behavior while he's still young?
- 24:25Speaker 2: Well, you know, see, First of all, let's clear a
- 24:31Speaker 2: couple of things. Okay, he took another girl to the
- 24:36Speaker 2: prom from another school, and he didn't tell his girlfriend.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Right right, Why will he tell her? That's what you
- 24:47Speaker 1: got out of that.
- 24:48Speaker 15: Okay, it makes no sense at all, but we understand
- 24:52Speaker 15: that part. Now, you got caught the.
- 24:56Speaker 2: Man's girls his the boy, his girlfriend's daddy came over
- 25:02Speaker 2: to the house to tell his mama, how you raising
- 25:05Speaker 2: your son? This isn't how she's raising his son, her son.
- 25:11Speaker 2: You can raise your children with the best intentions, the
- 25:14Speaker 2: best advice, the best everything, and they will sometimes do
- 25:19Speaker 2: something that is so outside of what you talked to
- 25:24Speaker 2: that it's unbelievable to you.
- 25:26Speaker 1: Yeah, yep.
- 25:29Speaker 2: Now I'm assuming you don't have a husband, which is
- 25:34Speaker 2: because he came over and talked to you. He was
- 25:38Speaker 2: wrong for that, Yes he was. The man was wrong
- 25:42Speaker 2: for that. Yeah, coming up to you like you could
- 25:46Speaker 2: like you could have stopped it. Now, she must have
- 25:49Speaker 2: known he was getting dressed that evening to take another
- 25:54Speaker 2: girl to the prom. So here's the things I've come
- 25:58Speaker 2: up with. Okay, the mama who got visited by the
- 26:02Speaker 2: daddy don't like the girl that he's dating at the school.
- 26:07Speaker 2: You think, I don't think she cares for the daughter,
- 26:12Speaker 2: which ain't her business or he is, or anybody. And
- 26:16Speaker 2: so she Okay, this other girl, you know, I was
- 26:20Speaker 2: never in that situation. So let me just be clear
- 26:23Speaker 2: about this. No girl at the other school never asked me.
- 26:27Speaker 2: She I'm my girl at this school because the whole
- 26:30Speaker 2: time I was in school, I didn't have a girl.
- 26:33Speaker 1: He didn't have had a problem, a problem.
- 26:36Speaker 2: I did not have this problem. I wish I had
- 26:39Speaker 2: that problem. Matter of fact, I took a girl that
- 26:43Speaker 2: went to a whole nother school to my prom. This
- 26:47Speaker 2: girl I wanted to take to the prom was dating
- 26:50Speaker 2: an older boy. Patricia Turner broke, you always hurt you
- 27:00Speaker 2: deep with three us in it.
- 27:05Speaker 13: So what should she? What should she do? As far
- 27:08Speaker 13: as her son is concerned, she wants to stop his
- 27:10Speaker 13: doggish behavior while he's young.
- 27:12Speaker 15: He might be just like his daddy. That's probably why
- 27:14Speaker 15: her dad ain't there. He probably got caught doing something.
- 27:17Speaker 2: Well, this doggish behavior that you're talking about, you, it's
- 27:23Speaker 2: too late for that. It's too late for that.
- 27:26Speaker 1: And they're just in high school and it's too late. Okay, Yeah, wow.
- 27:31Speaker 2: He helped him put that bow tie on before he
- 27:33Speaker 2: left there.
- 27:34Speaker 1: She was a part of it, all right. Moving on
- 27:37Speaker 1: to Jerome and Laurel.
- 27:39Speaker 2: Somebody gave him the car. Yeah yeah, so she's all
- 27:44Speaker 2: the way over there to pick her up. So there's
- 27:47Speaker 2: a whole lot involved here.
- 27:49Speaker 13: I can't help Okay, okay, Jerome and Laurel, maybe you
- 27:52Speaker 13: can help Jerome romy Rome. Jerome writes, recently, my wife
- 27:57Speaker 13: started calling me Boo, and she said it's easier than
- 28:01Speaker 13: trying to remember my name. What she was joking, But
- 28:08Speaker 13: I believe that she might have another boo on the side.
- 28:12Speaker 13: If I did that to her, she would flip out.
- 28:15Speaker 13: Should I keep an eye on her?
- 28:17Speaker 2: Well, dog, I don't know what you need to do.
- 28:20Speaker 2: That's your wife. But why don't you try it? Though?
- 28:23Speaker 2: Why don't you put your shoe on the other foot
- 28:26Speaker 2: and see how say it?
- 28:29Speaker 1: Say it? Steve, how would you say it?
- 28:31Speaker 2: Okay? Okay? Did he say his wife's name in the letter?
- 28:35Speaker 3: No?
- 28:35Speaker 1: No, no, he did not. His name is Jerome and
- 28:38Speaker 1: she her name Patricia.
- 28:44Speaker 2: Let's go with Dyane. Okay, all right, that's it Roman Dying. Okay,
- 28:51Speaker 2: that's his wife name Dane. And then hey, good morning,

- 29:07Speaker 2: catch on. Oh, just call her another name.
- 29:12Speaker 1: You're making a point.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Okay, Yeah, good morning d D. Who the hell is do?
- 29:19Speaker 9: Yeah?

- 29:35Speaker 13: Franklin writes, after thirty years of marriage, my wife wants
- 29:39Speaker 13: me to use the bathroom across the hall from our bathroom.
- 29:42Speaker 13: She said she needs space. I'm afraid that it's the
- 29:46Speaker 13: bathroom now and then she'll want me out of the bedroom.
- 29:50Speaker 1: What is going on with her?
- 29:51Speaker 2: Yeah, she wants space, doog. Yeah, it ain't a secret.

- 30:43Speaker 13: renowned producer Jimmy jam shared a past encounter between Mary

- 30:57Speaker 13: for a family celebration, and Mary Jay asked if Janet

- 31:19Speaker 13: that he didn't have a great first impression of her
- 31:21Speaker 13: meeting Mary J because Mary Jay simply looked at him
- 31:25Speaker 13: when he told her that he really admired her.
- 31:28Speaker 1: So bag Mary.

- 37:52Speaker 6: So when a little lift sounds good today, try the
- 37:55Speaker 6: new Energy Refresher.
- 37:56Speaker 14: At Starbucks or order one right now on the Starbucks Act.
- 38:01Speaker 13: Well this Pats Tuesday, President Trump posted on truth Social quote,
- 38:05Speaker 13: A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought
- 38:08Speaker 13: back again.
- 38:09Speaker 1: End quote from the President. Jesus.
- 38:11Speaker 13: Yeah, that's wow, And that's pretty much everyone in the
- 38:17Speaker 13: world's response.
- 38:18Speaker 1: That was their reaction to that.
- 38:20Speaker 13: President Trump threatened Iran so they can open the strait
- 38:24Speaker 13: of hermas her moves. Iran has agreed to a two
- 38:28Speaker 13: weeks cease fire, and according to the La Times, Pakistan
- 38:31Speaker 13: Prime Minister, whose country is serving as a mediator in
- 38:34Speaker 13: the ceasefire, talks between Iran and the US our scheduled
- 38:37Speaker 13: to resume tomorrow, that's on Friday. According to to US News,
- 38:42Speaker 13: international leaders have called for restraint, fearing widespread violence could
- 38:48Speaker 13: further disrupt global relations, energy, infrastructure, and trade.
- 38:53Speaker 2: So there you go. Wow, we have a president seriously
- 38:57Speaker 2: man that is unhinged, He is out of control, who
- 39:04Speaker 2: practices he who practices indecency at an alarming level and rate,
- 39:10Speaker 2: who is non stop with the verbiage, that does not
- 39:15Speaker 2: lead to peace, and he's creating a world disturbance. We
- 39:21Speaker 2: are now a laughing stock. And all the Republicans can
- 39:25Speaker 2: go along with the positioning of he's doing what forty
- 39:28Speaker 2: seven other presidents didn't do before him, and it's time
- 39:31Speaker 2: that we trapple this regime before they get a nuclear
- 39:35Speaker 2: warhead and all like this here, hey man, none of
- 39:39Speaker 2: that was the reason why we started this war, and
- 39:43Speaker 2: nobody sat down and thought this thing out. And now
- 39:45Speaker 2: we have a huge problem because they controlled the straits
- 39:49Speaker 2: of Hermos And here's another thing. We don't have plenty
- 39:54Speaker 2: of oil over here. We do need that oil from
- 39:57Speaker 2: over there, because if we didn't need the oil over there,
- 40:00Speaker 2: why would we be concerned about whether the strait was
- 40:03Speaker 2: open or closed. We can't get take it.
- 40:08Speaker 6: But to say to host a whole civilization you're talking
- 40:15Speaker 6: about you're talking about time.
- 40:18Speaker 1: He gave a time eight o'clock, eight pm.
- 40:21Speaker 2: You're talking about a nuclear weapon here.
- 40:26Speaker 1: I was pretty embarrassed by that and heartbroken.
- 40:29Speaker 2: And the Iraq Iranian people are not our problem. They've
- 40:35Speaker 2: been fighting against this regime for years. It's the regime
- 40:40Speaker 2: that's in control of the Iranian National Army it's that
- 40:44Speaker 2: I a tot of thinking that they want to get
- 40:47Speaker 2: rid of. You're gonna blow them all the way back
- 40:51Speaker 2: to the Stone Age where they belong. We're gonna obliterate
- 40:53Speaker 2: a whole nation of people. That's ninety Are you crazy?
- 40:58Speaker 1: That was horror.
- 41:01Speaker 13: I know it made you you stop and go, what
- 41:04Speaker 13: what are we doing? What's happening?
- 41:08Speaker 2: All right?
- 41:09Speaker 13: Coming up?
- 41:10Speaker 1: Wow?
- 41:11Speaker 13: At thirty four minutes after the hour, We're gonna check
- 41:13Speaker 13: your voicemail Steve at eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve
- 41:16Speaker 13: eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve. Right after this, you're
- 41:20Speaker 13: listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Steve, it's time now to
- 41:28Speaker 13: check your voicemail. Eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve. You
- 41:31Speaker 13: can call us, leave a message. You just might hear
- 41:33Speaker 13: your call on the air.
- 41:35Speaker 1: Here we go, Steve. This is from DJ DJ's from Dallas.
- 41:39Speaker 1: He called about South Carolina coach Don Staley and Yukon
- 41:43Speaker 1: coach Gino Arima. That incident it is.
- 41:49Speaker 3: Hey see, I'm just coming on. Well, I'm DJ from Dallas.
- 41:53Speaker 7: Case, I'm just coming on what Junie.
- 41:55Speaker 10: Was talking about Dino of Yukon and.
- 41:58Speaker 7: Donald staviss South Carolina. He acted toward her after the
- 42:02Speaker 7: win to number one, team came together a black woman
- 42:06Speaker 7: and a Caucasian man. Well, I think since this administration
- 42:10Speaker 7: been in here, well, I feel like since this administration
- 42:13Speaker 7: been in here, it's been a problem with.
- 42:14Speaker 1: Black people having success.
- 42:16Speaker 7: Just look at his stick and the military and how
- 42:18Speaker 7: he's getting rid of all the black generals and don't
- 42:20Speaker 7: want no blacks to go up for higher ranks. They
- 42:24Speaker 7: got a problem with successful black women right now and
- 42:29Speaker 7: black period.
- 42:30Speaker 2: And that's all I got to state.
- 42:31Speaker 3: Man. Hopefully y'all will play.
- 42:32Speaker 7: This here because our people need to hear this right
- 42:34Speaker 7: here under this administration, all right.
- 42:37Speaker 2: That's a true statement. It's a very very true statement.
- 42:41Speaker 2: I mean, if you don't understand that this administration is
- 42:44Speaker 2: not for the people by now, something's wrong with you.
- 42:47Speaker 2: And here's the cold part. This administration ain't for white
- 42:50Speaker 2: people either. I have noom for you. This administration is
- 42:55Speaker 2: for the rich, yeah, and the wealthy. And if you're
- 42:58Speaker 2: not rich or wealthy, they don't care about you.
- 43:01Speaker 15: Now.
- 43:01Speaker 2: They masking it by making it about an immigration problem
- 43:04Speaker 2: and these blacks and killing civil rights and killing affirmative
- 43:10Speaker 2: action and killing all this here DEI and all that here.
- 43:14Speaker 2: But they kill a bunch of stuff for themselves too,
- 43:17Speaker 2: but that's not their problem. But I agree with you
- 43:19Speaker 2: one hundred percent. This administration has allowed the bigotry and
- 43:24Speaker 2: the racism to rear his ugly head at an alarming
- 43:27Speaker 2: rate now without a check and balance system to it,
- 43:29Speaker 2: because now they feel as though they have they guy
- 43:32Speaker 2: in the White House, and they do. And if we
- 43:34Speaker 2: don't get out and vote for the midterms, man and
- 43:37Speaker 2: make some changes what it needs to be, it will
- 43:39Speaker 2: go unchecked. And I'm gonna tell you right now, we're
- 43:41Speaker 2: gonna have a hard time surviving three more years of this.
- 43:44Speaker 2: I got news for you. If this is what he's
- 43:46Speaker 2: done in one year, you let this man dig his
- 43:49Speaker 2: heels in for three more years, he's gonna be He's
- 43:52Speaker 2: gonna be such a multi billionare when he leaves office.
- 43:57Speaker 2: Everybody he puts in position is there to do his bidding.
- 44:01Speaker 2: The FBI belongs to him, The Department of Justice belongs
- 44:05Speaker 2: to him, The Attorney General belongs to him, the head
- 44:08Speaker 2: of the military belongs to him. Everybody the education people
- 44:11Speaker 2: belongs to him. The House belongs to him. The Senate
- 44:15Speaker 2: belongs to him, and he's using it to do his bidding,
- 44:19Speaker 2: and because they are cowards, they will stand up and
- 44:23Speaker 2: say nothing. They gonna let this man send they nephews
- 44:27Speaker 2: and nieces off to war. True, they are afraid of
- 44:31Speaker 2: him because he can cost them their position, their power,
- 44:36Speaker 2: and their money. And nothing is more important to them
- 44:39Speaker 2: than those three things. Right there. Yeah, next question, Shirley.
- 44:45Speaker 1: Here we go.
- 44:46Speaker 13: All right, Steve, you recently mentioned that you're watching the
- 44:49Speaker 13: House of David on Prime.
- 44:51Speaker 1: We talked about that.
- 44:53Speaker 13: Well, a caller left a message questioning your faith, Steve.
- 45:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I just heard you.
- 45:03Speaker 10: Talk about that. You was reading off this app about
- 45:07Speaker 10: King Saul.
- 45:08Speaker 17: And David and Goliah, and I'm just curious, after reading
- 45:14Speaker 17: all of that, how are you still a Christian? It's
- 45:18Speaker 17: a question because if you recognize what you read, then
- 45:23Speaker 17: where did Christianity.
- 45:24Speaker 3: Come in come all of that?
- 45:26Speaker 10: This curious for your response because if you read all that, you.
- 45:30Speaker 17: Should know where you are by now if you got
- 45:33Speaker 17: that far into the Bible. So if you can't just
- 45:38Speaker 17: give me a response on the radio, Well, first.
- 45:41Speaker 2: Of all, I never said that I had an APP
- 45:43Speaker 2: and I was reading an app. I don't know what
- 45:46Speaker 2: you're talking about. And no, I don't have to give
- 45:49Speaker 2: you a response, because nothing I said is going to
- 45:51Speaker 2: fix it for you. You called in here to question
- 45:54Speaker 2: my faith. My faith ain't off for question. Whatever I
- 45:57Speaker 2: claim is whatever I am, period And I always want
- 46:01Speaker 2: you just to find out with you or nothing else.
- 46:04Speaker 2: Right there. I don't care how you feel about me.
- 46:07Speaker 2: I really don't. All right, thanks for calling me, because
- 46:10Speaker 2: I ain't that good a Christian pimp, so cal.
- 46:13Speaker 1: We appreciate your phone calls, nonetheless. Coming up next, it
- 46:16Speaker 1: is the nephew with today's prank phone call. Right after this,
- 46:20Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up
- 46:27Speaker 1: at the top of the hour.
- 46:29Speaker 13: Right about four minutes after, it's my Strawberry letter for
- 46:31Speaker 13: today and the subject is my little control freak.
- 46:36Speaker 1: We'll get into that find out what that's all about.
- 46:39Speaker 1: It's not what you think. Oh maybe it is. Yes,
- 46:42Speaker 1: it's not what you think though.
- 46:44Speaker 13: That's coming up in just a few because right now
- 46:46Speaker 13: the nephew is here with today's prank phone call.
- 46:49Speaker 15: What you got for his neph I got stupid. This
- 46:52Speaker 15: is exactly what you think we miss that I ain't
- 46:57Speaker 15: no care about. This is exactly what you think. Problems

- 54:16Speaker 2: You know, along with the.
- 54:17Speaker 15: Little on the front, not a little Tommy just to Tommy,
- 54:21Speaker 15: a coup of Tommy.
- 54:23Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, I think it's great. It's I think
- 54:25Speaker 2: it's accurate. I think it's I think it's you realizing
- 54:29Speaker 2: after what I've known all the years. I'm cool with
- 54:32Speaker 2: your shirt. I'mnna buy one.
- 54:36Speaker 6: Tommy, you knew when you set that T shirt to
- 54:39Speaker 6: us what you were gonna do in the group me.
- 54:41Speaker 6: We counted down five four, three, two one, and Steve's responded,
- 54:46Speaker 6: why did you make yourself so short?
- 54:48Speaker 2: I didn't think of him when I sent it. One
- 54:51Speaker 2: on this show? That can fit on the T shirt?
- 54:56Speaker 2: How you gonna make a Steve T shirt? You ain't
- 54:58Speaker 2: put none on that but my head?
- 55:00Speaker 1: Why does he do that to himself too? You gonna
- 55:03Speaker 1: put a picture on your T shirt?
- 55:06Speaker 2: Hey?
- 55:07Speaker 15: On five nine, and I'm on this shirt? So hey
- 55:09Speaker 15: that we here? We cut five teen? I was five teen.
- 55:11Speaker 15: The doctor say, I went to five.
- 55:13Speaker 1: Now, oh you're shrinking, and you finally stop.
- 55:17Speaker 2: You know we're not gonna discuss it ever been five ten?
- 55:21Speaker 2: A hell? Stop on? You know I'll be five ten. Listen,
- 55:25Speaker 2: I'll be in Knoxville, okay, tomorrow night. All right, I'm
- 55:30Speaker 2: with you, all right? Thank you?

- 55:37Speaker 15: than that, Larry, Now I am to.
- 55:40Speaker 6: Do you ever notice your floora still look dirty even
- 55:43Speaker 6: after you mop. Power mop gives you a deeper clean
- 55:46Speaker 6: you can see and feel, unlike stream mops so for
- 55:50Speaker 6: power Mop absorbs more dirt and locks it away even
- 55:54Speaker 6: and hard to reach places like behind the toilet. The
- 55:57Speaker 6: new micro Scrubbers delivered thousands of IY deep cleaning actions
- 56:01Speaker 6: for results that look, smell, and feel clean. No more
- 56:05Speaker 6: dirty floors. Try the Swift for power Mop. Love it

- 56:29Speaker 1: We could be reading your.
- 56:30Speaker 13: Letter live on the air, just like we're going to
- 56:33Speaker 13: read this one right here, right now, and you never
- 56:35Speaker 13: know it could be yours.
- 56:38Speaker 2: You never know. Buckle up and hold on tight. We
- 56:40Speaker 2: got it for you here. It is a Strawberry letter,
- 56:43Speaker 2: all right.
- 56:44Speaker 13: Nephew, thank you. Subject my little control freak. Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 56:49Speaker 13: I'm a forty nine year old married man and my
- 56:51Speaker 13: wife is forty five. She's ex military and runs a
- 56:55Speaker 13: tight ship around here. I let her discipline the children
- 56:58Speaker 13: and I get to be the fun and she's cool
- 57:01Speaker 13: with it sometimes, but our teenagers are tired of her
- 57:06Speaker 13: notes and they're all over the house with detailed instructions.
- 57:10Speaker 13: I have to step in and tell her to ease
- 57:12Speaker 13: up a bit, and then I get yelled at. We
- 57:15Speaker 13: have a meal plan for every week, and the kids
- 57:17Speaker 13: still have a set bedtime every night. My wife controls
- 57:21Speaker 13: my life too. We have sex when she wants to
- 57:24Speaker 13: have sex, and we do it the way she wants
- 57:26Speaker 13: to do it. I get ordered around and moved around,
- 57:28Speaker 13: pushed and shoved into positions that make my back hurt,
- 57:32Speaker 13: and she almost pulled my arm out of the socket.
- 57:36Speaker 13: But I never say a word because I don't want
- 57:38Speaker 13: to ruin the moment. It's outside the home where we
- 57:42Speaker 13: have problems. My parents think my children and I need
- 57:45Speaker 13: to do an intervention with my wife. I found out
- 57:48Speaker 13: that my teenage daughter goes to her house to freely
- 57:50Speaker 13: date and she has.
- 57:51Speaker 1: Boys visit her over there.
- 57:54Speaker 13: I trust my parents' supervision, but it hurts me that
- 57:57Speaker 13: I can't share the experience with my daughter. I don't
- 57:59Speaker 13: think it would go well if I shared this with
- 58:02Speaker 13: my wife, and I honestly don't think she will change
- 58:05Speaker 13: her behavior. I don't want my children to be afraid
- 58:09Speaker 13: of their mom or have bad memories of their childhood.
- 58:12Speaker 13: And I'm torn between a great structured life that my
- 58:15Speaker 13: wife provides and the freedom my teenagers need. Will it
- 58:18Speaker 13: backfire if I try to get my wife to change.
- 58:21Speaker 13: Should I leave it alone for now?
- 58:24Speaker 2: Wow?
- 58:24Speaker 1: You kind of live a scary life over there. Huh?
- 58:28Speaker 13: Why have you let your wife terrorize you guys like this?
- 58:32Speaker 13: I get the kids situation. They are teenagers and she
- 58:35Speaker 13: thinks that and a parent should be a disciplinarian with
- 58:39Speaker 13: your children. But you're supposed to be her partner, the
- 58:42Speaker 13: man of the house, and you're not another teenager. Sometimes
- 58:46Speaker 13: you like it, sometimes you don't. But your wife is
- 58:49Speaker 13: no longer in the military. It sounds like she should
- 58:52Speaker 13: even either. Sometimes even give the kids a break. I'll say,
- 58:56Speaker 13: I think that you've given her too much leeway and
- 58:59Speaker 13: she's taking advantage of that. I think she is out
- 59:02Speaker 13: of control and she does need to be reeled in.
- 59:05Speaker 13: But do you think you are the man for the job.
- 59:08Speaker 13: I mean, that's what you have to decide. You have
- 59:10Speaker 13: to be head of household and make some hard decisions here.
- 59:13Speaker 13: So figure out your plan, get some new structure in
- 59:16Speaker 13: your house. Your parents are kind of onto something when
- 59:19Speaker 13: they say an interventions from you and the kids should happen, but.
- 59:23Speaker 1: Just you, not the kids. You and your wife need
- 59:26Speaker 1: to have us sit down and talk about this. You
- 59:28Speaker 1: got a man up. You can't be afraid of your wife.
- 59:31Speaker 1: That's not healthy.
- 59:33Speaker 13: Talk to each other about how you want to move
- 59:35Speaker 13: forward as a family, not with a drill sergeant.
- 59:38Speaker 1: Find a better way to communicate, Steve.
- 59:41Speaker 2: Yeah, you ain't gonna make it. Dump. This little control
- 59:48Speaker 2: freak you talking about is out of pocket, and you've
- 59:51Speaker 2: allowed it, and I think has gotten to the point
- 59:54Speaker 2: where it does require an intervention, as your parents said,
- 59:57Speaker 2: but she might not care because you've conceded too much.
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: I don't know how long it's been going on, but
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: obviously since y'all got married. You forty nine, she forty five.
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: She ex military. She runs a tight ship around here.
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: I let her discipline the kids. I get to be
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: the fun parent, but then your teenagers is tied the
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: notes all over the house with detailed instructions. I got
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: to step in and tell her to ease up a bit,
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: and then I get yelled at, hey, dog, I'm not
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: Every time I talk to my wife to say something,
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: she started hollering at me. I'm nothing to do that, man,
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: And you're not finna holler at me, not in my house.
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: You not, not when you want to. Sorry, I'm not
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: accepting that from anybody. And this ain't about disrespecting her,
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: but it's a lot about her disrespecting you. We got
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: a meal plan for every week, and the kids still
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: got to set a bedtime every night. Then you say
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: your wife control your life too. You have sex when
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: she want to have sex, and we do it the
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: way she want to do it. I get all around
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: and moved around, pushed and shoved in the position that
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: hurt my back, and she almost pulled my arm out
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: the other socket. But I never say a word because
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: I don't want to ruin the moment. Well, I tell
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: you what we're doing. I can fix this for you
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: right here. Oh oh, we snatching the jerking now, okay,
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: see our participate with you just how you? Oh oh,
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: we throw in our backs. Okay, are you gonna move
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: my hips over there? You get your hips over here?
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: See put your leg over there. You know I can
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: fix that little moment you have it. So if she
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: do something rough to you, didn't I go rough back? Oh?
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: We rough, or we rough rough, stretch, stretch, snatch, snatch, pull, pull,
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: hit it, hit it back our back out. You know
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: what we do it in here turn it into that.
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: But you ain't gonna do that because you don't want
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: to ruin the moment. Now, brother, starting to sound to
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: me a bit wimpy. It's just starting to sound a
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: bit whimpy to me. And I don't know if you
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: can control her because she pretty much sees the same
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: thing I see in this letter. Okay, so then after
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: y'all have sex and you can hurt you a little back.
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: She almost pulled your arm out the socker. That's a snatch,
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: that's over. That's what that is, right, they pull your
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: arm out the socket. Okay, my parents think my children
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: and I need to do an intervention. You do you
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: do with my wife? And then here the crazy part.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: I found out my teenage daughter go to their house
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: to freely date and she has boys visit her there.
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: I trust my parents' supervision, but it hurts me that
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: I can't share the experience with my daughter.
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: What.
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: No, that's not a statement that her father makes.
- 1:02:56Speaker 13: All right, Steve, hang on, we'll have your response coming
- 1:02:59Speaker 13: up at twenty eight, three minutes after the hour, part
- 1:03:01Speaker 13: two of it. This today's Strawberry letter, subject my little
- 1:03:05Speaker 13: control Freak. We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:03:08Speaker 13: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:03:16Speaker 6: Do you ever notice your floors still look dirty even
- 1:03:19Speaker 6: after you mop? Power mop gives you a deeper clean
- 1:03:22Speaker 6: you can see and feel. Unlike stream mops, Swift for
- 1:03:25Speaker 6: power Mop absorbs more dirt and locks it away even
- 1:03:29Speaker 6: and hard to reach places like behind the toilet. The
- 1:03:32Speaker 6: new micro scrubbers deliver thousands of tiny, deep cleaning actions
- 1:03:36Speaker 6: for results that look, smell, and feel clean. No more
- 1:03:40Speaker 6: dirty floors. Try the Swift for power Mop. Love it
- 1:03:43Speaker 6: or your money back?
- 1:03:44Speaker 15: All right?
- 1:03:45Speaker 13: Come on, Steve, Let's recap today's strawberry letter. The subject
- 1:03:48Speaker 13: is my little control freak.
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: He's forty nine, she's forty five. She's an ex military.
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: She run a tight ship around there, controls everything. Are
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: the kids have write up bedtime, to have a meal,
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: plans every day of the week. They can't. She's a disciplinarian,
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: so so he gets to be the fun parent. She
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: don't have a problem with that, but she controls everything,
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: and now she control the way they have sex, when
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: they have sex, how they have sex, and he be hurt.
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: She be hurting me. She be hurting me, and she
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: hurt my back and then she pulled my arm out
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: to socket. She snatched at me. Yeah, I was over here.
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: I ain't even want to but I ain't wanna say
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: nothing because I ain't gonna ruin the moment. I don't
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: like her sex, no one, I'm not gonna be able
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: to help you. Man, did this letter right here and
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: so all of this, And then now you find out
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: that your teenage daughter goes over your parents' house that
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: has boys come over there and meet her over there,
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: and you trust your parents' supervision. You just hate that
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: you're not allowed to enjoy the experience with your daughter.
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: What you know, I ain't never heard of father say
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: that when the boys come over to visit my daughters.
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: I just want to be that help enjoy the experience.
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: I ain't never heard of father say that about no
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: boy coming over to the house and meet their daughter. Hey, man,
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: what's wrong with you? What is wrong with you? Are
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: you so busy being a fun parent that you think
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: everything about parenting is fun because it ain't. Your daughter
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: needs some discipline, if you lie in your daughter to
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: sneak around over her mama's house, I got news for you.
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: She's taking on the attitude that she has to sneak around.
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: And now I guess what she gonna sneak around to
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: do something else too.
- 1:05:39Speaker 3: Ah.
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: But you have a little grandbaby in a minute that
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: you be able to play with it, having an experience
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: and all that. I'm telling you, man, everything need to
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: check in balance system, including your wife. But you gonna
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: seem like you're the one that's gonna do it now.
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: Your mom and daddy and told you to have an intervention,
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: which is a little crazy after you married too, But
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: you're gonna sit up here. You ain't gonna do that.
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: Just ignorant, no run around telling everybody what to do.
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: You and your daughter over there. It hurts me that
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: I can't share experience with my daughter. I don't think
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: it would go well if if I shared this with
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: my wife. Hell Now, if you tell your wife your
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: daughter over there sneaking around, hell no, because she know
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: what the boys is up to and you should too.
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: And honestly, I don't think she'll change her behaviors. I
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: don't want my children to be afraid of they mom
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: nna have bad memories of their childhood. I'm torn between
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: a great, structured life that my wife provides and the
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: freedom my teenager's need. Boy, you're so busy trying to
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: be your teenager's friend. You're gonna mess around, man, have
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: some more people to be friends with. You're gonna be
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: a friendly granddaddy in a minute. Gary Man, Shirley said,
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: you need to man up. But man, if Shirley got
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: to tell you the man, if you got a problem, though,
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: you got real problem with it. Backfire. If I try
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: to get my wife to change, I tell you what.
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: If you don't get her to change, it's already backfiring.
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: You don't like the sex you have it. Your kids
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: don't like their mama. Your parents think she needed intervention.
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: What's wrong with y'all just letting this woman do what
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: she want to do? Them? You bring it up. She
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: yelled at me, and you don't yell at me in
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: my own house. That's not what you're gonna do. I
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: ain't let nobody do that to me. You don't get
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: to yell at me in my own house. You gonna
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: get to do that? Should I leave it alone for
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: now for now, bru, How much worse do it need
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: to get? What if you go? Should I leave it
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: alone for now? When you're gonna bring it up after
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: the baby get here? When you're gonna be bringing up
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: after you got your whole back snatched out having sex?
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: You ain't driving that ship either.
- 1:07:43Speaker 9: Man.
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: What you doing? You ain't doing nothing at your house?
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: You just over there are willing participant. You're not participating
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: in the parenting. You're not participating in sex. You ain't
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: making no choices. You ain't got nothing to do with
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: the schedule it. Hey, dog, you scared of her, That's
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: what it sounded like to me. You are scared of her. Yep,
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: she gonna come in there with some do divorce papers
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: one night because she done found a man somewhere. You
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: gonna sign him.
- 1:08:14Speaker 20: I don't get I don't wanna sign the paper, but
- 1:08:16Speaker 20: she made me sign. We got I gotta go give
- 1:08:20Speaker 20: me somewhere else and live my kids. She got cussying
- 1:08:24Speaker 20: kids again?
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: Man?
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: Whatever.
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, it's just weakness. He's just a scary individual.
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know.
- 1:08:36Speaker 13: Counseling therapy might help in this situation. I think it
- 1:08:41Speaker 13: always helps, no matter what the issue is. But he'll
- 1:08:45Speaker 13: probably be too scared to go there as well.
- 1:08:49Speaker 9: You know.
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: It's just I have suggestions for anybody that want it
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: from me. I don't think I'm married to.
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: You or not.
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean they should go together.
- 1:08:58Speaker 13: Yeah, because there's she's she's still doing it military drill
- 1:09:02Speaker 13: sergeant style, and that's not cool either. They need some
- 1:09:06Speaker 13: sort of balance in this marriage. He needs to participate
- 1:09:09Speaker 13: in the marriage, first of all.
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: It's just wow, she hurting his back and stuff they have.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:09:20Speaker 9: He said.
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: She almost pulled my arm on my socket. Yeah, y'all,
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: y'all outside any garage?

- 1:13:58Speaker 13: You're listening to the Steele Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 1:14:05Speaker 13: so this is from Jay on Steve Harvey FM. Jay says,
- 1:14:08Speaker 13: my wife is turning thirty soon, and I really want
- 1:14:11Speaker 13: to do something extra special for her, but she's an
- 1:14:14Speaker 13: identical twin. I get along great with my wife's twin sister,
- 1:14:19Speaker 13: but I don't want to have to plan and pay
- 1:14:21Speaker 13: for a surprise for her too. I feel like my
- 1:14:24Speaker 13: wife deserves something that's just for her for once, but
- 1:14:27Speaker 13: I don't know if that's possible. Am I going to
- 1:14:30Speaker 13: have to just forget a big surprise so I can
- 1:14:33Speaker 13: ask her how she wants to handle the celebration with
- 1:14:35Speaker 13: her sister. Would I be stepping into some sensitive territory
- 1:14:39Speaker 13: if I planned something that broke their tradition?
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: Wait a minute, did they have the same birthday?
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: Yeah, they're twins.
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: They're twins.
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: You have a set of twins.
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: Yeah, No, it's just one birthday. I don't know what y'all.
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: Yeah, and one is his wife. He's only married to
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: one of the twins.
- 1:14:58Speaker 14: Yeah, he doesn't want to keep himself librations for both
- 1:15:01Speaker 14: of them. He just do one for the white.
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: Well, bro, how that's how that's gonna work.
- 1:15:06Speaker 3: Well.
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: He feels pressure though, to to celebrate both.
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: Brother They've they've been warm mates, they had every birthday together.
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: His responsibility though.
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: Because she's his wife.
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: Well, look who's talking? All right?
- 1:15:26Speaker 6: You have a law and he's married to one of
- 1:15:28Speaker 6: your daughters as a twin. Is that an issue?
- 1:15:32Speaker 9: What?
- 1:15:32Speaker 3: What? What?
- 1:15:33Speaker 6: What?
- 1:15:33Speaker 9: What?
- 1:15:35Speaker 15: In law?
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: Who's married to your daughter.
- 1:15:38Speaker 14: And she is a twins?
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: That hard to understand.
- 1:15:43Speaker 2: He he gotta consider that they've never had a birthday
- 1:15:49Speaker 2: without each other.
- 1:15:51Speaker 15: Okay, is he supposed to buy Is he supposed to
- 1:15:53Speaker 15: buy his sister in law a gift and throw her
- 1:15:56Speaker 15: something too?
- 1:15:57Speaker 2: That don't make sense, Ah, had to buy two gifts?
- 1:16:02Speaker 13: Your father, not your husband. You're married to one of
- 1:16:08Speaker 13: the twins.
- 1:16:08Speaker 15: You know what?
- 1:16:09Speaker 2: You know what, y'all, I ain't got no twins.
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: But you you're not married to one of the understandings
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: I'm not understanding. But Steve, seriously, I'm.
- 1:16:22Speaker 13: The only expert here, I'm the only You're not married
- 1:16:27Speaker 13: to one of them? So okay, So you're saying he
- 1:16:29Speaker 13: has to do what he does for one his wife,
- 1:16:32Speaker 13: he has to do.
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: For the other one.
- 1:16:33Speaker 2: He has to throw one birthday.
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: Okay, you don't think the.
- 1:16:38Speaker 2: Other one gonna come?
- 1:16:45Speaker 13: What?
- 1:16:45Speaker 6: What?
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: What is y'all? What does y'all not understanding?
- 1:16:48Speaker 15: Okay, well you're you're not understanding responsibility. That's what I'm
- 1:16:52Speaker 15: not understanding. That's not his father.
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: It's a whole lot making sense.
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: So by he should. He doesn't have to buy them
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: both his wife and her sister, her twins, the same
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: gift or anything.
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: Right, Absolutely not.
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: Okay, So but do you throw the birthday?
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: If you throw the birthday party, she guess who birthday?
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: Okay, she can't come. What you have twins?
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: Okay, I'm just telling you this boy been in trouble
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: the whole time. I feel sorry for him.
- 1:17:32Speaker 13: Oh but back to Carlo's question though, what but yeah,
- 1:17:38Speaker 13: I mean, I know you got mad about it, but seriously,
- 1:17:40Speaker 13: back to Carlo's question about your twins. One of your
- 1:17:43Speaker 13: twins is married. So when they celebrate, Brandy and Carly
- 1:17:47Speaker 13: celebrate together with Carly's husband all the time is.
- 1:17:51Speaker 2: Car husband might take her to dinner somewhere by theyself,
- 1:17:57Speaker 2: you know, But something like that party. You thought party
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: said everybody coming, Oh you can't come? Is y'all listening?
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: Everybody got it opinion?
- 1:18:13Speaker 2: But he shouldn't have to and now I can hear
- 1:18:15Speaker 2: about the radio listen. He shouldn't have to be responsible
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: for that other one he didn't marry her, or you're
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: gonna that's at your house?
- 1:18:23Speaker 13: How this work?
- 1:18:24Speaker 3: Though?
- 1:18:27Speaker 2: Understand the bond of.
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: Twins, okay, the womb mates like that bond.
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: Has been since the beginning of time. That bond is real, man, okay.
- 1:18:39Speaker 2: And if you don't incorporate that in your thinking when
- 1:18:41Speaker 2: you married one of them, you stupid.
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: We'll be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning

- 1:25:41Speaker 21: inspiration book?
- 1:25:42Speaker 9: Think about that.
- 1:25:43Speaker 21: Thank you, mister Harvey.
- 1:25:46Speaker 2: Are you welcome Darland. Appreciate the kind words. I don't
- 1:25:49Speaker 2: know if I'll ever write another book though. It's just
- 1:25:53Speaker 2: I don't enjoy the book writing process. That's what I
- 1:25:56Speaker 2: don't like. And then by the time they about my
- 1:26:00Speaker 2: language and make it, I be reading the book. I
- 1:26:02Speaker 2: ain't saying it like that, you know, because you know
- 1:26:05Speaker 2: they can't exactly print how I talk. So that was
- 1:26:10Speaker 2: another call earlier today. Can we play that call back?
- 1:26:14Speaker 2: It was a call that the gentleman called in and
- 1:26:16Speaker 2: it was talking about the Yeah, here's another call we
- 1:26:21Speaker 2: got earlier today.
- 1:26:25Speaker 10: Yeah, I just heard you.
- 1:26:28Speaker 17: Talk about that. You was reading off this app about
- 1:26:32Speaker 17: King Saul and David and Goliah, And I'm just curious,
- 1:26:38Speaker 17: after reading all of that, how are you still a Christian?
- 1:26:42Speaker 17: It's a question because if you recognize what you read,
- 1:26:47Speaker 17: then where did Christianity come in come all of that?
- 1:26:51Speaker 10: This curious for.
- 1:26:52Speaker 17: Your response because if you read all that, you should
- 1:26:55Speaker 17: know where you are by now, if you got that
- 1:26:58Speaker 17: far into.
- 1:26:59Speaker 10: The So if you can't just give me a response
- 1:27:03Speaker 10: on the radio, Well.
- 1:27:06Speaker 2: First of all, I never said I was reading an app.
- 1:27:11Speaker 2: You got that confused with something. I was watching this
- 1:27:14Speaker 2: new series called House of David. It's actually what I'm doing.
- 1:27:20Speaker 2: And I don't understand what you're really asking me. I'm
- 1:27:23Speaker 2: assuming that you're saying that after I've read what I read,
- 1:27:29Speaker 2: how could I possibly be a Christian? So I don't
- 1:27:33Speaker 2: know what that angle is coming from listen man. Because
- 1:27:40Speaker 2: of my fame, I get judged in a lot of ways.
- 1:27:45Speaker 2: I've grown to be the type of person who I
- 1:27:47Speaker 2: no longer care what people think of me, especially when
- 1:27:50Speaker 2: it comes to my faith. Do you know, man, that
- 1:27:53Speaker 2: there's a minister that comes on the internet and he
- 1:27:56Speaker 2: made an accusation that Steve Harvey is trying to come
- 1:28:00Speaker 2: bind to religion called Chris Slam, that he's trying to
- 1:28:05Speaker 2: combine Christianity and Islam. I don't know where they be
- 1:28:08Speaker 2: getting this stuff from, but this is an actual preacher
- 1:28:11Speaker 2: who has a church, who stood up in his pool
- 1:28:14Speaker 2: pit and said that about me. You know, it's amazing
- 1:28:17Speaker 2: to me the amount of things that people can get
- 1:28:20Speaker 2: away with and be sitting in that pool pit. I
- 1:28:26Speaker 2: don't know what you're asking me, but let me just
- 1:28:28Speaker 2: make this perfectly clear. I am who I am because
- 1:28:32Speaker 2: God is who he is. I was raised in this
- 1:28:35Speaker 2: faith of Christianity. I was taught it by my mama.
- 1:28:39Speaker 2: I'm not finna change that because you wrote in and
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: I'm not finna be questioned about it either, or you
- 1:28:45Speaker 2: called in, I'm not finna be questioned about it either.
- 1:28:49Speaker 2: My faith is my faith. It's always amazing to people
- 1:28:53Speaker 2: they hear a little bit of summon. Then you know,
- 1:28:56Speaker 2: I wonder how you can still be a Christian. I
- 1:28:58Speaker 2: don't see how I can't be. I really don't see
- 1:29:01Speaker 2: how I can be. I have living proof. I am
- 1:29:05Speaker 2: living proof that my faith works. I am living proof
- 1:29:11Speaker 2: because I have given God control of my life so
- 1:29:14Speaker 2: many different times. Or I've taken it back a bunch
- 1:29:17Speaker 2: of times too now, But I've given it up so
- 1:29:20Speaker 2: many times. I've called on his name and he rescued me.
- 1:29:24Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know how else to explain
- 1:29:26Speaker 2: it to you, But I'm not getting to get off
- 1:29:28Speaker 2: my faith. How can I be a Christian? How could
- 1:29:31Speaker 2: I not? How can I not? When I've seen all
- 1:29:33Speaker 2: the evidence I need to see, When I have called
- 1:29:36Speaker 2: his name and He's answered me, when I've cried and
- 1:29:39Speaker 2: he heard it. When I didn't have an answer, he
- 1:29:42Speaker 2: provided it. When I was seeking comfort, he gave it
- 1:29:45Speaker 2: to me. I have a type of peace in me now, man,
- 1:29:48Speaker 2: that it's hard to explain.
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: Do you know?
- 1:29:51Speaker 2: Right now, I'm in a moment of uncertainty with what
- 1:29:54Speaker 2: my next move is gonna be and where I'm gonna
- 1:29:56Speaker 2: end up, and where I'm gonna land, And do you
- 1:29:58Speaker 2: know that I'm perfectly cool with that, because I already
- 1:30:04Speaker 2: know that He comes to give me life and give
- 1:30:07Speaker 2: me life more abundantly. I know that he has a
- 1:30:10Speaker 2: life plans for me of prosperity. I do not believe
- 1:30:13Speaker 2: he brought me this far to leave me. I'm just here, man,
- 1:30:18Speaker 2: I'm just I'm enjoying the fruits of my faith. It
- 1:30:23Speaker 2: is amazing to me, man, how people always want to
- 1:30:26Speaker 2: question somebody else's faith. You don't leave your name, you
- 1:30:30Speaker 2: don't leave what religion you belong to. You just how
- 1:30:34Speaker 2: could I still be a Christian? Okay? If I'm be
- 1:30:35Speaker 2: a Christian? What you want me be? Okay? Now, let
- 1:30:38Speaker 2: me tell you something else. Some of the best friends
- 1:30:41Speaker 2: I have in this world are Muslims. Some of the
- 1:30:44Speaker 2: finest people I've ever met in my life are some Muslims.
- 1:30:50Speaker 2: Some of the finest people I've ever met in my
- 1:30:52Speaker 2: life are Christians. Some of the best people I've ever
- 1:30:56Speaker 2: met in my life are Americans. Some of the best
- 1:31:00Speaker 2: people of my in my life have never set foot
- 1:31:03Speaker 2: in America. I don't look, man, I'm just not that
- 1:31:09Speaker 2: way anymore. I've decided to accept people who they are.
- 1:31:12Speaker 2: You don't know how God gonna do this thing at
- 1:31:14Speaker 2: the end, and if you got any sense at all, yeah, all,
- 1:31:18Speaker 2: y'all better be hoping he grading on the curve because
- 1:31:21Speaker 2: if there's none perfect, no note one, but He's prepared
- 1:31:24Speaker 2: a place called Heaven, then who going it ain't nobody perfect?
- 1:31:29Speaker 2: So like right now, i got a seventy out of
- 1:31:32Speaker 2: one hundred, I'm just hoping that's a low aid. Y'all
- 1:31:35Speaker 2: better be on that same hope. I'm on, y'all have
- 1:31:38Speaker 2: a great grade. Y'all have a great day today. Talk
- 1:31:41Speaker 2: to God today. I'd absolutely love him. And any time, yes,
- 1:31:44Speaker 2: you want to right in by my faith, go ahead.
- 1:31:46Speaker 2: I got something for you too. Enjoy yourself today. Okay,
