- 0:01Speaker 1: I wanted to do a show on astrology, so first
- 0:04Speaker 1: of all, it is in your destiny to do this.
- 0:07Speaker 1: I'm mong asiaticular, and to be honest, I don't believe
- 0:10Speaker 1: in astrology, at least I don't think I do. But
- 0:15Speaker 1: from the moment I was born, it's been a part
- 0:18Speaker 1: of my life, part of my family's story for as
- 0:21Speaker 1: long as anyone can remember.
- 0:23Speaker 2: In India, it's like smoking. You might not smoke, but
- 0:26Speaker 2: you're going to get secondhand astrology.
- 0:27Speaker 1: And lately I've been wondering if the universe has been
- 0:30Speaker 1: trying to tell me to stop running and pay attention,
- 0:33Speaker 1: because maybe there is magic in the stars if you're
- 0:37Speaker 1: willing to look for it. So I rounded up some friends.
- 0:41Speaker 1: I'm Mary and I'm a Cancer, I'm Miitra and I'm
- 0:44Speaker 1: a Leo, I'm Markham and Gemini. We're the most hated sign,
- 0:48Speaker 1: which is weird because work great and although we had
- 0:52Speaker 1: no idea what we were getting into, we dove headfirst
- 0:56Speaker 1: into the global obsession with astrology and it got weird fast.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Tantric curses, major League Baseball teams, canceled marriages, K pop,
- 1:06Speaker 1: fortune telling cows, and you wouldn't believe the tension between
- 1:11Speaker 1: believers and skeptics.
- 1:13Speaker 2: I got into astrology trying to disprove it.
- 1:16Speaker 1: I said, he's a Gemini, he's restless, and he goes
- 1:19Speaker 1: he's turning down one hundred million. Help.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Is the president's interest in astrology something.
- 1:24Speaker 1: For us to be concerned about.
- 1:26Speaker 2: When people say that astrology is a science and has
- 1:29Speaker 2: physical roots in the stars, it's like, oh, no, it doesn't,
- 1:33Speaker 2: but it's true the way a poem is true.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Along the way, I met people with really big questions
- 1:38Speaker 1: and astrologers who tried to answer them.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Will I ever believe in anything? I had a question about,
- 1:43Speaker 2: like who's going to diverse? Because there's an answer that
- 1:47Speaker 2: I want?
- 1:48Speaker 1: Because I feel like I'm at the brink of something.
- 1:50Speaker 2: I just don't belto something.
- 1:52Speaker 1: I discovered far flung beaches where women astrologers roam, and
- 1:56Speaker 1: tiny shops where centuries of predictions are kept hidden in faults.
- 2:01Speaker 2: See what I've done lately? You want it pass?
- 2:08Speaker 1: But just when I thought I had a handle on
- 2:10Speaker 1: this sweet and curious show about astrology, my whole world
- 2:14Speaker 1: came crashing down.
- 2:16Speaker 2: You planned this under an eclipse. Eclipse energy can be
- 2:19Speaker 2: very volatile. Things happening unexpectedly. Can't really see it coming. Oh,
- 2:25Speaker 2: situation doesn't look good for father. There is risk to
- 2:28Speaker 2: father and.
- 2:30Speaker 1: My whole view on astrology it changed. Whether you're a
- 2:36Speaker 1: skeptic or a believer. Give me a few minutes, because
- 2:40Speaker 1: I think your ideas are going to change too. Listen
- 2:43Speaker 1: to Skyline Drive and the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcast or
