- 1:44Speaker 1: turn them out to turn the water. The water got
- 1:50Speaker 1: me come come on your back. Uh huh, I shall
- 2:02Speaker 1: well a good morning everybody, y'all listening to the voice,
- 2:07Speaker 1: Come on dig me now one it only Steve Harley
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show today. I want to just share
- 2:16Speaker 1: something with you along your way to wherever it is
- 2:23Speaker 1: you're trying to get to. You know, everybody has a
- 2:26Speaker 1: different definition for success, and I'm not. I'm not here
- 2:30Speaker 1: to tell you what joy should be. I mean, please
- 2:33Speaker 1: pursue whatever you think success he is aim as high
- 2:36Speaker 1: as you can though, that's for sure. My father used
- 2:42Speaker 1: to say all the time. I'm sure you all have
- 2:43Speaker 1: heard it in different variations, but he used to always say,
- 2:47Speaker 1: aim for the moon. Just in case you miss, you'll
- 2:50Speaker 1: still be amongst the stars. Just say that to me
- 2:53Speaker 1: all the time. So that always was in me to
- 2:56Speaker 1: aim high. Now he wasn't saying aim with the intent
- 3:01Speaker 1: to miss. He was just saying aim. In case you miss,
- 3:07Speaker 1: you're still a mongst the stars if you aim for
- 3:10Speaker 1: the moon. But if you just aim for that first
- 3:13Speaker 1: flow window and you miss it, you know, usually run
- 3:17Speaker 1: into some type of wall and nothing happens. You slither down.
- 3:22Speaker 1: You know. In my book, act like a lady, think
- 3:24Speaker 1: like a man. I told her people that men love
- 3:26Speaker 1: three ways. They profess, they provide, they protect, and that's
- 3:30Speaker 1: the core essence of a man's love. Well, there's some
- 3:34Speaker 1: other peas in life too. The number one thing you
- 3:38Speaker 1: have to understand about trying to be successful, and I
- 3:44Speaker 1: guess I call this the four peas. I may come
- 3:46Speaker 1: up with five along the way. I don't know. I'm
- 3:49Speaker 1: just talking as is given to me. So I'm gonna
- 3:52Speaker 1: summer start by saying, as these are the four peas
- 3:55Speaker 1: of success that you have to get ready for. Number one,
- 4:00Speaker 1: it's pressure. A lot of it is applied by the
- 4:04Speaker 1: circumstance of what you're trying to go for and what
- 4:07Speaker 1: you're trying to do, but a lot of it also
- 4:12Speaker 1: is self imposed pressure. It's what you put on yourself
- 4:17Speaker 1: to make it. It's a sense of urgency. It's a
- 4:23Speaker 1: sense of necessity. But pressure is the first thing I
- 4:28Speaker 1: want you to be ready for. And pressure comes in
- 4:31Speaker 1: a lot of different forms, but it's going to be pressured.
- 4:34Speaker 1: As an old saying that pressure buster to pipe. See,
- 4:36Speaker 1: that's why most people turn around because of the pressure
- 4:40Speaker 1: of trying to be successful. I want you to get
- 4:43Speaker 1: it in your mind that it is going to be
- 4:45Speaker 1: a pressure rized situation on your rise to the top. Pressure,
- 4:52Speaker 1: but understand that that it is what it is, is
- 4:54Speaker 1: not going to change. That's it. Prepare yourself, get ready
- 5:00Speaker 1: for there to be pressure. The second thing I want
- 5:05Speaker 1: you to understand is when you receive this pressure, you
- 5:08Speaker 1: have to persist. You got to stay at it. You
- 5:13Speaker 1: got to develop a dog getness has a There's a
- 5:20Speaker 1: song who says, why must I feel like that? Why
- 5:26Speaker 1: must I chase the cat? Nothing but the dog in me?
- 5:32Speaker 1: That's a funny line in that song because really I
- 5:35Speaker 1: was thinking about it one day. I was humming it
- 5:39Speaker 1: and and it, and it occurred to me, said, why
- 5:42Speaker 1: must I feel like that? Why must I chase the cat?
- 5:47Speaker 1: Nothing but the dog get me? And you know, now
- 5:51Speaker 1: you could take it into literal says that the cat
- 5:53Speaker 1: chases the dog because it's innately is in his spirit.
- 5:57Speaker 1: That cats and dogs are a lot of time enemies.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Now people have pets in him, proving that if you
- 6:03Speaker 1: show love on both sides, they can exist. And that
- 6:06Speaker 1: happens too, but naturally innately, when your cat goes by
- 6:11Speaker 1: a dog and your dog don't recognize him, that some
- 6:13Speaker 1: barking going on. I'm talking abo just walking through the
- 6:16Speaker 1: neighborhood or something. So, but the reason that this dog's
- 6:22Speaker 1: so persistent towards this cat is just cause it's in him.
- 6:27Speaker 1: It's innately in him. And what I'm saying to you,
- 6:32Speaker 1: just using that as an analogy, is that you got
- 6:36Speaker 1: to be you got to be persistent in that. You
- 6:42Speaker 1: got to develop some dog in you now because pressure
- 6:46Speaker 1: takes some fighting back. See if you don't fight back
- 6:49Speaker 1: against pressure, pressure buster pipes, So what you think it
- 6:52Speaker 1: will do to you? Pressure, crack walls, pressure calls, explosions.
- 6:58Speaker 1: So if you don't fight back to hold it in,
- 7:01Speaker 1: you understand pressure does most people in the simple thing
- 7:06Speaker 1: called pressure, the weight of what it feels like to
- 7:10Speaker 1: want to be successful every single day, over and over
- 7:13Speaker 1: and over and over and over. It's just too much pressure.
- 7:17Speaker 1: People crack. You got to persist. You have to persist.
- 7:22Speaker 1: You can the thought of giving up can come, but
- 7:26Speaker 1: you got to get it out. You got to persist.
- 7:29Speaker 1: The next thing I want you to think about is
- 7:34Speaker 1: another something that I've been thinking about for years and
- 7:37Speaker 1: learn for years. It's called perseverance. To persist means to insist.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Its keyword in insist and persistence insists you must. You
- 7:50Speaker 1: must insist that this is going to happen. Now, the
- 7:54Speaker 1: persist I'm assuming means it's a proaction. It's some type
- 7:58Speaker 1: of proaction that you go toward. Is it to make it?
- 8:02Speaker 1: You know, persist, You gotta be persisted. You gotta be
- 8:05Speaker 1: constantly at it, insisting that it happens. You gotta be
- 8:08Speaker 1: constantly at it. But the next thing I want you
- 8:10Speaker 1: to remember is perseverance. Perseverance is important. Perseverance means that
- 8:17Speaker 1: when you've done your best, when you've persisted, when you're
- 8:22Speaker 1: fighting back against the pressure. Perseverance simply means I'm going
- 8:27Speaker 1: to hang in here when if a crack come into pipe,
- 8:32Speaker 1: I'm gonna hang in there. If the pipe bust, I'm
- 8:35Speaker 1: gonna keep going. If I got to put duct, take
- 8:39Speaker 1: mud whatever I got to put on this thing. Man,
- 8:43Speaker 1: I'm gonna use perseverance. I'm going to stay with it
- 8:48Speaker 1: no matter what. So we're looking at the three things again.
- 8:52Speaker 1: You got to understand that it's gonna be pressure that
- 8:55Speaker 1: you're gonna have to persist keyword and persistence. Insist. You
- 9:00Speaker 1: have to insist that no matter what the pressure is,
- 9:03Speaker 1: I'm gonna stay with it. But then perseverance. If it
- 9:06Speaker 1: goes wrong, Man, you got to get in there and
- 9:10Speaker 1: keep fighting. But then Lord Him Mercy. Nothing helps you
- 9:15Speaker 1: handle the three peas better than the fourth pea. You
- 9:18Speaker 1: got to pray. You got to use prayer. You gotta
- 9:22Speaker 1: talk to God. You gotta use faith. You gotta have
- 9:26Speaker 1: some conferences with him late at night, early in the morning,
- 9:30Speaker 1: in the middle of the afternoon, when you own the train,
- 9:32Speaker 1: when you're driving. You got to talk to God. Man,
- 9:36Speaker 1: you gotta get yourself some help along the way. Nothing
- 9:39Speaker 1: is bigger than prayer. There is nothing bigger than prayer.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Prayer will help you overcome the pressure. Prayer will help
- 9:46Speaker 1: you stay persistent, and Lord Him Mercy, prayer will help
- 9:49Speaker 1: you persevere them is the faux pas that just came
- 9:53Speaker 1: to me today. God gave that to me. I'm passing
- 9:56Speaker 1: it on. You're listening, ladies and gentlemen, might have your attention. Please,
- 10:04Speaker 1: I'm so tired or being alone time. I'm so tired
- 10:09Speaker 1: or being at home. Won't you help me girl? Just
- 10:14Speaker 1: as soon as you can? Said, I'm I'm leaving so quarantine.
- 10:25Speaker 1: I don't want it no more, can't go nowhere. I
- 10:34Speaker 1: want to do my hell. I want to get away
- 10:38Speaker 1: sale and maybe do my name. Baby. Oh, I'm so
- 10:45Speaker 1: tired of being at home. I'm so tired of being alone.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Help me girl, get out of here soon as I can.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Shut um. Quarantine needs somebody to come and get me.

- 14:55Speaker 1: beauty shop, get get and get calls. All my weeks
- 14:59Speaker 1: needs repress it. Oh and burn news presses my wigs
- 15:04Speaker 1: from it. Oh. Okay. I used to come down there,
- 15:07Speaker 1: just set them in a box at the door, and
- 15:09Speaker 1: she'd get them when she come in and swing back
- 15:12Speaker 1: by that evening and pick them up. But she ain't
- 15:14Speaker 1: even been in there. Yeah, usually wash them and set
- 15:17Speaker 1: them in all that. You know, when you can do that,
- 15:19Speaker 1: you ain't. That's that's social distancing. Yeah. I dropped the
- 15:23Speaker 1: wigs off and you tighten them up. Now she ain't
- 15:25Speaker 1: even down now, why oh yeah, Well, well but they
- 15:29Speaker 1: say the salons can open now, but I don't go
- 15:33Speaker 1: to them. People's salons. You know, the youngest people in there.
- 15:36Speaker 1: They don't, they not they they're not doing I want.
- 15:40Speaker 1: I got to go to beauty shop. We ever had braids? Girl,
- 15:44Speaker 1: I'm not getting no breeds in my hell. If the

- 15:50Speaker 1: braided it when we come in the world, You ain't.
- 15:53Speaker 1: You ain't ever had platsy? Really, plats is different from braid.
- 15:58Speaker 1: Well when the last time you had plat Tommy, I've
- 16:00Speaker 1: got been years since the thanks boy? Just as were
- 16:08Speaker 1: the same thing. Platches different from platches got parts in it.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Rages rose, Well, that's corns. I didn't come here and
- 16:17Speaker 1: talk about heat even man, I'd just set them down.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Then what made me man? When she said she was
- 16:27Speaker 1: open because she's in Atlanta, you know, but then she
- 16:31Speaker 1: friends with the mayor Kesha. Oh yes, so she didn't
- 16:34Speaker 1: open her salang. So i'd have set my wigs in
- 16:37Speaker 1: the front door at the box and I go back
- 16:39Speaker 1: and somebody that took the damn box out, So she's
- 16:46Speaker 1: gonna have to come to your house then for what
- 16:49Speaker 1: the wigs has gone? Well to do something and then
- 16:54Speaker 1: I can't go get no new ones. That's that's how
- 17:01Speaker 1: you punch got wind yet that's cold nothing. Yeah, well
- 17:10Speaker 1: let me ask this stuff. Have you been on zoom
- 17:13Speaker 1: with church and everything? You know? I did why we
- 17:17Speaker 1: got zoom on? Now? Yeah? So how that go? Didn't
- 17:21Speaker 1: like it at all? I couldn't know. I couldn't see
- 17:24Speaker 1: everyone I wanted to see, you know, and the people's
- 17:27Speaker 1: that was in the little squares, I didn't care for
- 17:29Speaker 1: any of them. I didn't see none of the regulars.
- 17:34Speaker 1: None of my old saints was not on there because
- 17:36Speaker 1: they didn't know how. So I was just un there
- 17:39Speaker 1: at the church service with a bunch of young people.
- 17:44Speaker 1: My niece, my niece come over and got me on
- 17:48Speaker 1: what Claaria And then she got into the wrong zoom
- 17:55Speaker 1: and everybody in there was naked. We zoomed in too fast,
- 18:01Speaker 1: I said, but it was it was a boy in
- 18:04Speaker 1: the Lord that mercy. I'll tell you what. I'll tell
- 18:08Speaker 1: you what. I wasn't supposed to see it, but I
- 18:12Speaker 1: tell you what. He had something for you to see.
- 18:13Speaker 1: I'll tell you that. Oh he was a young, strong,
- 18:18Speaker 1: looking sad yes, like sat a page. I looked at
- 18:26Speaker 1: that boy. I said, Lord, good God, almighty, Well, how
- 18:30Speaker 1: long we're getting there? I wasn't on that long. It
- 18:34Speaker 1: took me a while together because first I went, oh,
- 18:37Speaker 1: look Jesus, and you know, I grasped myself, you know,
- 18:41Speaker 1: and then I didn't realize it, and then I said, oh,
- 18:44Speaker 1: Lord Jesus, and then again I called my niece back
- 18:47Speaker 1: and then told her, yes, man coming, you know, get them,
- 18:51Speaker 1: you know off? Ok, Yeah, because that was happening to
- 18:55Speaker 1: a lot of people. So yeah, but mistakes. I wanted
- 18:59Speaker 1: to ask you, where are you cooking since you've been
- 19:01Speaker 1: off with a girl out of head chilling black eyed peas.
- 19:06Speaker 1: Someone said you shouldn't eat chili in the summertime because
- 19:11Speaker 1: it's hot, I guess, and it's it's a heavy comptoo.
- 19:14Speaker 1: It's like a heavy you don't cook. You a question? Well,
- 19:20Speaker 1: who said it? Though? You know some people say that
- 19:23Speaker 1: you know who who is? So who say it said that?
- 19:30Speaker 1: I didn't say where did you get it from? I
- 19:33Speaker 1: heard it? Tell I don't know who did you get
- 19:36Speaker 1: it from? No, sister, because you don't know how to
- 19:41Speaker 1: be nice, sister, Oldale. That's all I just heard. So
- 19:45Speaker 1: you've been eating chilian black eyed peas, chili, black eyed peas, barbeque,
- 19:50Speaker 1: chicken wines. You know your sister are just cooking by myself.
- 19:57Speaker 1: You know they got cab side at Houston. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 20:02Speaker 1: a lot of restaurants. Yes, man, that's why I made
- 20:04Speaker 1: my own chili. They need to quit making chili. They do,
- 20:10Speaker 1: they do wonderful Spanish dips. You're doing all this cooking,
- 20:17Speaker 1: which with no wig on. You ain't got no head
- 20:21Speaker 1: to ease you cook. Well, I don't win the whig
- 20:24Speaker 1: so that's you know. You don't say w's either, but
- 20:28Speaker 1: you're still talking. Oh I'm sorry, sister Odell. You're shitting
- 20:32Speaker 1: up in here talking about you be cooking without a
- 20:34Speaker 1: wig on. You cook without hair on your head, sister, Dell.

- 20:40Speaker 1: introduce Tommy and run that prank back that's coming up? Okay,
- 20:44Speaker 1: Sean will be right back for it. Hope he's still
- 20:46Speaker 1: acting cute. Well you heard her. The nephew will be
- 20:52Speaker 1: back right after this to run that prank back. You're

- 20:59Speaker 1: of the hour. Miss and will be here with today's
- 21:02Speaker 1: national news plus an entertainment news. Michael Jordan's daughter Jasmine
- 21:06Speaker 1: said her mother One Nita, wasn't concerned about being absent
- 21:09Speaker 1: from the Last Dance documentary. We'll talk about it at
- 21:12Speaker 1: the top of the hour, but right now it was
- 21:14Speaker 1: time for the nephew to run that prank back, which
- 21:16Speaker 1: you have to do that, Cittra Della. Well, yeah, no,
- 21:19Speaker 1: I'm here for it. Okay, yes, man, And I guess

- 23:21Speaker 1: and you had an English exam with a You guys
- 23:25Speaker 1: are writing an essay? Am I am? I am I
- 23:27Speaker 1: correct about that? Yeah? And yeah that's true. Okay, see
- 23:31Speaker 1: that we got some problems here that the professor there
- 23:34Speaker 1: is actually a simulating that you may have cheated on
- 23:37Speaker 1: this on this essay that you've actually written cheated. No,
- 23:43Speaker 1: I mean from from what he's telling us here at
- 23:45Speaker 1: Student Affairs, is that you may have plagiarized some things
- 23:50Speaker 1: that that we're in your essay. Dude, No, I didn't.
- 23:53Speaker 1: I didn't plagiarize nothing that was in the essay. Everything
- 23:55Speaker 1: is documented like it should be. So I don't know
- 23:57Speaker 1: what you're talking about, especially cheating no exam or no paper,
- 24:01Speaker 1: nothing like that. You must got me mixed up. With
- 24:02Speaker 1: somebody else. No, no, no, not at all. You're actually
- 24:05Speaker 1: mister Travan, correct. I mean that's me. But I didn't
- 24:08Speaker 1: cheat on no exam papers for that matter. Okay, well,
- 24:11Speaker 1: let me let me try to bring you up to
- 24:13Speaker 1: speed here at Travan. What we're gonna need is, we're
- 24:15Speaker 1: gonna need you to actually come in and talk to
- 24:17Speaker 1: us over here at student affairs so we can try
- 24:20Speaker 1: to get this thing rectified. But I will let you know,
- 24:22Speaker 1: it's gonna take a few more days longer than graduation.
- 24:27Speaker 1: So as of right now, you're actually not gonna be
- 24:29Speaker 1: walking uh and graduating with the rest of the students. Man, dude, man,
- 24:34Speaker 1: you got me messed up. What's what do you mean?
- 24:36Speaker 1: I'm not gonna be walking well until we get this
- 24:39Speaker 1: situation rectified here. You're not gonna be graduating with the
- 24:42Speaker 1: rest of the students now, dot. I don't know what
- 24:45Speaker 1: y'all gotta do, but y'all need to figure it out
- 24:46Speaker 1: or find out what the problem. Man, I didn't cheat
- 24:48Speaker 1: on no exam there you're talking about. Dude, My family
- 24:51Speaker 1: is coming down here, and you're talking about cheating on
- 24:53Speaker 1: an English exam. They look like cheating on an example,
- 24:56Speaker 1: and I'm getting ready to graduate. Man, now, y'all need
- 24:58Speaker 1: to fix it like right now, like today we're on
- 25:00Speaker 1: the phone. We can't do that. It's a little it's
- 25:02Speaker 1: a sensitive subject. And like I said, it seems like
- 25:04Speaker 1: it's plagiarism. You know, if we can get you to
- 25:07Speaker 1: actually come over the student affairs next Wednesday? Man, you man,
- 25:11Speaker 1: you got me? So what you mean next Wednesday? Dude?
- 25:14Speaker 1: I'm graduating in a few days. Whin you taw about
- 25:16Speaker 1: next Wednesday? Man? Why don't my professor didn't give me
- 25:19Speaker 1: a call? Why are you calling me? Sir? This is
- 25:22Speaker 1: not something that professors actually take care of. This is
- 25:24Speaker 1: a student affair situation now, and it's a very sensitive situation.
- 25:28Speaker 1: And what we want to do is try to get
- 25:29Speaker 1: this thing taken care of. And if you if what
- 25:31Speaker 1: you're saying is actually true, then you'll probably graduating August. Man,
- 25:38Speaker 1: you got me. I'm telling you writing that this is
- 25:39Speaker 1: a you got me, August. I'm graduating. This to me
- 25:44Speaker 1: here too long to go through some my last few
- 25:47Speaker 1: weeks of school, and you talk about August. N you
- 25:54Speaker 1: ain't even time to hear what you got to say. Man,
- 25:55Speaker 1: my family is coming down here from everyone to see
- 25:58Speaker 1: me graduating. Me. I'm the first graduate from my family.
- 26:01Speaker 1: You're talking about some tut about my teat on the paper,
- 26:04Speaker 1: A paper, a paper. Then you're come here, man, I'm
- 26:08Speaker 1: gonna work two and three to see me through this school.
- 26:11Speaker 1: And now I'm coming getting rid of to graduate? Are
- 26:13Speaker 1: you talking about how to wait until August? A graduate? Man? Hell? Now,
- 26:17Speaker 1: I'm on my way to the office right now, and
- 26:19Speaker 1: you can tell whoever the professor is, that I'm on
- 26:21Speaker 1: my way and he needs to be there too, Sir,
- 26:23Speaker 1: I can really tell you that we can try and
- 26:25Speaker 1: get this thing rectified in earlier the next Wednesday. Man,
- 26:28Speaker 1: what's your name again? And where's where's your office? I'm
- 26:31Speaker 1: in suits, I'm Joe. Okay, okay, okay, okay. So I'm
- 26:34Speaker 1: about to get in my car right now and I'm
- 26:36Speaker 1: about to come over there and we're gonna handle it today.
- 26:38Speaker 1: And I as how are you singing to me cheating
- 26:40Speaker 1: on the exam paper? Man? Is that, sir? Anes? Thing?
- 26:44Speaker 1: Is the professor? Man's possible? Here? Man? Are you kidding me?
- 26:49Speaker 1: Do I've been here five? Yes, I'm the first man
- 26:54Speaker 1: a graduate from Carmus Man, my grandmo is eight and
- 26:56Speaker 1: two years old? Is she coming here and see me graduate?
- 27:00Speaker 1: And you're telling me the somebody seen on the paper?
- 27:02Speaker 1: And I got away till all gus to graduates. Man, Man,
- 27:06Speaker 1: you tell me, professor to come to your office right now,
- 27:09Speaker 1: because I'm already in my car on my way to
- 27:11Speaker 1: come to your office. And we're gonna handing this today. Man,
- 27:15Speaker 1: you got me. I don't have any more room or
- 27:17Speaker 1: my schedule to actually pull anybody in today or you're
- 27:21Speaker 1: gonna call me with like this something you ain't got
- 27:24Speaker 1: room on your schedule. Man, Hell now that miss missile,
- 27:27Speaker 1: whatever your name is. I'm on my way to your
- 27:29Speaker 1: office home, and I said you, I'm gonna tell you,
- 27:32Speaker 1: and I'm telling you up front it's gonna be a problem.
- 27:35Speaker 1: I ain't graduating in a few days. You got to
- 27:37Speaker 1: be it with me. You got to deal with my
- 27:39Speaker 1: family and my mama. We're gonna play this thing you
- 27:41Speaker 1: got at, sir, I understand. Is there a possibility that
- 27:46Speaker 1: maybe you play Giarize and didn't know that you did that? Man?
- 27:49Speaker 1: You mean the paper was officer and I already knew, sir,
- 27:52Speaker 1: Can I can? I can I tell you one more thing?
- 27:54Speaker 1: And then and then all that you can't say you're
- 27:56Speaker 1: not ready to call me with somebody. I can't graduate
- 27:59Speaker 1: with my class as I hadn't been this for five years.
- 28:01Speaker 1: The sun in my cop and you're telling me I
- 28:04Speaker 1: can't graduate until August. You ain't got to tell me.
- 28:08Speaker 1: I do have one more thing I need to tell you,
- 28:09Speaker 1: and then I'll let you be on your way. Okay, man,
- 28:12Speaker 1: go ahead. Can I tell you what I want to
- 28:15Speaker 1: tell you? Now? Go ahead. I'm telling you this. It
- 28:17Speaker 1: was nephew Tommy from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You
- 28:20Speaker 1: just got prank phone called by your best frim Brian.
- 28:28Speaker 1: What hello, man, dude, somebody gonna playing jokes like that? Dude? Man,
- 28:40Speaker 1: then you know how hard I out this? Five years?
- 28:44Speaker 1: Five years? Man, I'm you are the first black male
- 28:49Speaker 1: in your family to graduate from college. You're doing a
- 28:53Speaker 1: big boy man. I know, man, it's been a journey. Bro.
- 28:58Speaker 1: I got one more thing, and ask your baby one
- 29:00Speaker 1: what is the badest that I mean, the badest radio
- 29:02Speaker 1: show in the lane? Man, it's that Steve Harvey Morning.
- 29:10Speaker 1: All right, thank you, nephew. Coming up next at the
- 29:12Speaker 1: top of the hour, Entertainment at National News. Right after
- 29:15Speaker 1: this you're listening to morning show. All right. So some
- 29:22Speaker 1: people are wondering about Michael Jordan the Last Dance documentary
- 29:27Speaker 1: as to how can you do a ten part documentary
- 29:30Speaker 1: and not mention your wife at the time. Well, according
- 29:33Speaker 1: to Essence Magazine, during a Facebook live chat with Michael
- 29:36Speaker 1: and Juanita's daughter Jasmine, Jasmine said, at the end of
- 29:41Speaker 1: the day, if you'd ask my mom, she lived it.
- 29:43Speaker 1: There's no need to go down memory lane and bring
- 29:45Speaker 1: up everything that has already happened. When the proof is
- 29:48Speaker 1: in the pudding. She was at the championship, she was
- 29:50Speaker 1: at the retirement ceremony. Jasmine continued, We saw her in
- 29:54Speaker 1: her glory, So no, I don't think there's a need
- 29:57Speaker 1: to rehash and go through it all. She already lived it.
- 30:01Speaker 1: And Jasmine, who of course was too little at the
- 30:04Speaker 1: time to know of her father's greatness, said that she
- 30:08Speaker 1: loves the principles her father stands for and what he's
- 30:11Speaker 1: taught them off the court. No matter what she says,
- 30:15Speaker 1: my father is always going to be true to who
- 30:17Speaker 1: he is and mastering his craft. This is when you know.
- 30:21Speaker 1: She was asked what was the greatest lesson he ever
- 30:24Speaker 1: taught her? She said, he always trickled down and made
- 30:27Speaker 1: you made sure to say, Hey, you gotta be yourself boo.
- 30:31Speaker 1: You gotta be authentic, you gotta be genuine. Your power
- 30:34Speaker 1: is within who you are, and that's something that can't
- 30:37Speaker 1: be taken away. Wow. Well, you know what, I don't
- 30:41Speaker 1: think Juanita needed to be in it. You know, that's
- 30:44Speaker 1: not what this was about. This was about the life
- 30:47Speaker 1: of the basketball players. They didn't talk about none of
- 30:50Speaker 1: Scottie Pippins haul. It wasn't about female and male relationships
- 30:57Speaker 1: anyway in it. It was about the behind the scenes
- 31:00Speaker 1: of the basketball. Yeah, you know so so about the
- 31:03Speaker 1: team and his job. Yeah, I didn't. I didn't feel
- 31:06Speaker 1: it wasn't a documentary on his life. I think Michael Jordan,
- 31:10Speaker 1: his business, his family something. Yeah, you know, they always
- 31:15Speaker 1: want to do something. You know, she's straight, he straight,
- 31:20Speaker 1: he happy, she happy. Yeah, she's a really, really nice
- 31:25Speaker 1: person too, man, when I met her. But I love
- 31:27Speaker 1: Jordan too. Man. We've always cool from the times we've talked.
- 31:30Speaker 1: You know, we're not close enough. I ain't got to
- 31:32Speaker 1: sell number, nothing like that, but you know when we talk,
- 31:35Speaker 1: we cool. You know, I'm just real with there's no people.
- 31:38Speaker 1: Oh man, we're real tight. I ain't got to sell number.
- 31:42Speaker 1: Everybody I'm tight with, I got their number, okay, right
- 31:46Speaker 1: for real? And you know what, that's what I say.
- 31:48Speaker 1: Oh So I was talking to somebody one time and
- 31:52Speaker 1: m and they would describe he was a celebrity, and
- 31:56Speaker 1: he was talking about how people talk about him, and
- 32:01Speaker 1: he said, if you don't have my seal number, you
- 32:06Speaker 1: can't talk about me. Who I say, what I can't see,
- 32:14Speaker 1: you don't know, you don't know me like that. If
- 32:17Speaker 1: you don't have my cell number, you can't talk about me.
- 32:22Speaker 1: And you know what I found, that's pretty much the truth.
- 32:27Speaker 1: If you don't have my sale number, you really can't
- 32:30Speaker 1: talk about me. Or what are you talking about me for?
- 32:34Speaker 1: They're probably talking about you. Everybody. You really know that
- 32:43Speaker 1: I have any type of relationship with, I got the
- 32:46Speaker 1: number that if I can't, I can call Monica and
- 32:51Speaker 1: I can get it. In a matter of adam, Monica
- 32:55Speaker 1: got everybody number. Man, Monica bars the Mouth of the South,
- 33:00Speaker 1: a book talent. Yes, I call it. This sip news
- 33:03Speaker 1: report is just a sip of news. All you gotta
- 33:06Speaker 1: do is tell I need this person number, I boss,
- 33:08Speaker 1: I get it. For you. All right, See, we got
- 33:13Speaker 1: to move on and get caught up on some headlines
- 33:16Speaker 1: for today, ladies and gentlemen. Miss Anne Tripp, Okay, good
- 33:20Speaker 1: morning everybody. This is a trip. President Trump remains confident
- 33:23Speaker 1: of his now admitted use of the malaria drug hydroxy chloroquinn.
- 33:27Speaker 1: The Commander in Chief held another White House briefing, not
- 33:29Speaker 1: wearing a mask, horse and assisting that the combination of
- 33:32Speaker 1: the malaria drug and zinc is clearly the right stuff.
- 33:36Speaker 1: I think it gives you an additional level of safety.
- 33:38Speaker 1: But you can ask. Many doctors are in favor of it.
- 33:41Speaker 1: Many frontline workers won't go there unless they have the
- 33:44Speaker 1: hydrox scene and so again, this is an individual decision
- 33:47Speaker 1: to make, but it's had a great reputation. And the
- 33:51Speaker 1: one asked about her opinion, how Speaker Nancy Pelosi said
- 33:54Speaker 1: the situation she thought was kind of scary as far
- 33:57Speaker 1: as the President is concerned. US, our president and I
- 34:00Speaker 1: would rather not be taking something that has not been
- 34:04Speaker 1: approved by the scientists, especially in his age group and
- 34:09Speaker 1: in his shall we say weight group. But it is
- 34:12Speaker 1: morbidly obase, they say, so, I think it's not a
- 34:16Speaker 1: good idea. Yeah, the President really took issue with that
- 34:19Speaker 1: morbidly obese stuff, and he snapped back, calling House Speaker
- 34:22Speaker 1: Nancy Pelosi a sick woman with mental problems. Okay, Republicans
- 34:26Speaker 1: Senate Leader Mitch McConnell has had to walk back a
- 34:29Speaker 1: comment he made about former President Obama during a campaign event.
- 34:32Speaker 1: Mcdont McConnell rather appeared to blame the president for the
- 34:36Speaker 1: Trump administrations lousy response to the coronavirus pandemic, claiming that
- 34:40Speaker 1: Obama's people left no guidelines behind for Trump's people during
- 34:44Speaker 1: the transition in twenty seventeen. Well, several Obama administration official
- 34:47Speaker 1: took issue with that. One. One of them, Ronald Kane,
- 34:50Speaker 1: was Obama's Ebola coordinator, and he tweets the quote, We
- 34:53Speaker 1: literally left them a sixty nine page pandemic playbook that
- 34:56Speaker 1: they ignored, an office called a Pandemic Preparedness of Was
- 35:00Speaker 1: that they abolished, and a global monitoring system called predict
- 35:03Speaker 1: that they cut by seventy five percent. McConnell now admits
- 35:07Speaker 1: that he was wrong. According to a new pole of
- 35:10Speaker 1: eighteen to twenty nine year olds in the US shows
- 35:12Speaker 1: that there's a growing enthusiasm for the political process. Soud
- 35:15Speaker 1: already say. This generation's interest in voting, though, has been
- 35:18Speaker 1: spurred in part by President Trump, but perhaps not in
- 35:21Speaker 1: the way that the Commander chief probably would like. A
- 35:23Speaker 1: Miami police department has decided that one of their cops
- 35:26Speaker 1: was justified and handcuffing and detaining a black doctor who
- 35:30Speaker 1: was merely outside his own home loading his van with
- 35:33Speaker 1: tents and other items for the homeless. Sergeant Mario Metagazzo
- 35:37Speaker 1: claims that he thought the physician was illegally dumping trash, so,
- 35:40Speaker 1: in other words, something that he was putting in his
- 35:42Speaker 1: van he thought he was putting out of it. The
- 35:45Speaker 1: Miami Dade PD only says Metagazzo made a mistake by
- 35:48Speaker 1: violating department rules by yelling and pointing at the doctor
- 35:51Speaker 1: and not wearing a mask. Private funeral services scheduled today
- 35:55Speaker 1: for the architect of Rock and Roll, A Little Richard,
- 35:57Speaker 1: on the campus of Oakwood University in Huntsville, alab Emma
- 36:00Speaker 1: Richard Wayne Pennyman died May ninth, bone cancer. He was
- 36:03Speaker 1: eighty seven and today is National Flower Day. Oh how
- 36:07Speaker 1: they bloom? Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 36:09Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steven Show. President Trump will not
- 36:15Speaker 1: hold a ceremony at the White House for the unveiling
- 36:18Speaker 1: of former President Barack Obama's portrait. Uh this mark, Yeah,
- 36:24Speaker 1: I mean, this is it's like beyond even petty. Now
- 36:29Speaker 1: you're you're ridiculous with it reaching out. This marks a
- 36:33Speaker 1: break from a forty year tradition honored by presidents from
- 36:36Speaker 1: both parties. Mister Trump and mister Obama have had extraordinarily
- 36:41Speaker 1: contentious relationship. We have to say that they have, and
- 36:44Speaker 1: it's mostly because of you know, Trump bashing him, and
- 36:48Speaker 1: Barack Obama has just started to speak out recently a
- 36:52Speaker 1: new low in recent days as Trump made unfounded accusations
- 36:57Speaker 1: that mister Obama committed an unspeci to fight crime. We
- 37:02Speaker 1: don't know what the crime is, we I mean, come on,
- 37:04Speaker 1: he's been picking up Barack Obama since before he was president,
- 37:08Speaker 1: you know, talking about he wasn't born here. If you
- 37:11Speaker 1: think birth to a new low. If this country re
- 37:15Speaker 1: elects Donald Trump, that's the low. See at first, the
- 37:19Speaker 1: first time, they didn't know, right. I think I think
- 37:23Speaker 1: they voted for him because he was just different. He
- 37:26Speaker 1: was a reality star. They thought he knew a lot
- 37:29Speaker 1: about business. He was going to really be great for
- 37:32Speaker 1: the business of the country. He was gonna get America
- 37:34Speaker 1: back to work again. That's the promise he ran up.
- 37:37Speaker 1: He ain't got no jobs back. The coal miners, he promised,
- 37:42Speaker 1: we're bringing cold back. He ain't bought a damn thing back.
- 37:46Speaker 1: If they re elect him this time, then the country
- 37:51Speaker 1: will sink to a new low in terms of morality.
- 37:56Speaker 1: The whole world is immoral. There are places that's furst
- 38:00Speaker 1: in others, but we will sink to out one of
- 38:03Speaker 1: our country's lowest points of morality. Yeah, in this century.
- 38:10Speaker 1: If they reelect him, because now they know, and if
- 38:14Speaker 1: you can ignore who he really is and make him
- 38:17Speaker 1: the president of your nation again, that's different. That's a
- 38:21Speaker 1: new loan for me. Governor of New York was saying
- 38:24Speaker 1: in his news conference that because of this new world
- 38:29Speaker 1: order we're in the government has to really know what
- 38:32Speaker 1: they're doing now. They really have to know because you know,
- 38:35Speaker 1: we've we've had a lesson from how it is now. Yeah,
- 38:39Speaker 1: in leadership. So he was saying, for instance, if you
- 38:42Speaker 1: want to be a nurse, you have to be trained
- 38:44Speaker 1: to be a nurse. If you want to be a doctor,
- 38:46Speaker 1: you have to go to school and be trained to
- 38:47Speaker 1: be a doctor, lawyer. He said, so if you're in government.
- 38:50Speaker 1: He did not mention any names, but we all knew
- 38:52Speaker 1: who he was speaking about. If you want to be
- 38:55Speaker 1: in government, you need to know what you're doing. Period. Yeah, leadership. Yes,
- 39:04Speaker 1: you're taking peals at the FDA. Everybody else here taking peels.
- 39:12Speaker 1: Everybody told him not to take trying, trying, don't coming
- 39:20Speaker 1: up next. Thirty four minutes after the hour, It's time now, Steve,
- 39:24Speaker 1: change your had time for ask the CLLO, the chief
- 39:27Speaker 1: Love Officer in the building. Right after this, you're listening
- 39:30Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys, time
- 39:34Speaker 1: now for asked the CLLO. Steve is in the building.
- 39:37Speaker 1: He is our chief Love Officer. You can submit your
- 39:40Speaker 1: questions to Steve Harvey FM dot com. All right, Steve CLO.
- 39:44Speaker 1: This one is from Dexter in Tallahassee. It says I've
- 39:47Speaker 1: been with my girlfriend for four years, we have two children,
- 39:51Speaker 1: and she's pregnant. I was also sleeping with a woman
- 39:54Speaker 1: that lives down the street from my girlfriend, and I
- 39:56Speaker 1: messed up and took my four year old son with
- 39:58Speaker 1: me to her house. I didn't think he would say anything,
- 40:01Speaker 1: but he told his mother that he met daddy's pretty
- 40:04Speaker 1: friend down the street. I was in the shower when
- 40:07Speaker 1: he told her, and she came in and beat the
- 40:10Speaker 1: crap out of me. I felt so bad seeing her
- 40:13Speaker 1: pregnant and broken hearted. I missed her and my children,
- 40:16Speaker 1: and I want her back so bad. How can I
- 40:18Speaker 1: get her to trust me again? So stupid? How stupid
- 40:23Speaker 1: are you? How did you think a four year old
- 40:27Speaker 1: wouldn't say anything? Who come on, man, he's four, okay, listen, Yes,
- 40:37Speaker 1: he has nothing else going on in his life, nothing
- 40:41Speaker 1: except going down the street to see daddy's pretty free street.
- 40:48Speaker 1: He don't go to work, he ain't got a cell phone.
- 40:52Speaker 1: His world is limited. And you open it up to
- 40:55Speaker 1: the girl you sleeping with down the street. Now you
- 40:58Speaker 1: got you got stupid. You've been with her four years,
- 41:02Speaker 1: you got two kids, and she pregnant. He's now you
- 41:06Speaker 1: feel bad that you broke her heart, that she's pregnant.
- 41:10Speaker 1: Put all this stress on the baby? All right? Oh,
- 41:15Speaker 1: the baby don't need to be seen. That's right, Tommy,
- 41:18Speaker 1: All right? This one Steven's from Anonymous and Cincinnati. It
- 41:21Speaker 1: says I've been married for over twenty five years, and
- 41:24Speaker 1: my wife and I have not had sex in ten years.
- 41:30Speaker 1: I have been married for over twenty five years, and
- 41:34Speaker 1: my wife and I have not had sex in ten years.
- 41:39Speaker 1: I stopped asking and trying years ago. We're just roommates now,
- 41:43Speaker 1: but I have never cheated on her. In January, I
- 41:46Speaker 1: got a new I got a new job, and it's
- 41:49Speaker 1: eighty five percent women in my office. As a middle age,
- 41:52Speaker 1: kind of handsome male, the women flirt with me all day,
- 41:56Speaker 1: and most of them are young and fine ass. Heck,
- 42:01Speaker 1: I want to have sex with a few of them,
- 42:03Speaker 1: with a few of them, but I know better. I'm
- 42:06Speaker 1: happy to know that I still have what it takes
- 42:08Speaker 1: to get a woman. I still have a few good
- 42:10Speaker 1: years left in me. Is it time for me to
- 42:12Speaker 1: end my marriage? Dog? First of all, listen to me.
- 42:17Speaker 1: Don't write me lying to me. But thank you. Dog,
- 42:23Speaker 1: you have been married twenty five years. You and your
- 42:28Speaker 1: wife hay had sex for ten years. What What has
- 42:31Speaker 1: he been doing? He said? Their roommates stup, Oh don't yeah,
- 42:35Speaker 1: he said, they're roommates. He hasn't children, He ain't cheated
- 42:40Speaker 1: on who, he said, he hasn't cheated on his work. Man,
- 42:43Speaker 1: don't right here, don't write me no, okay, Now, all
- 42:45Speaker 1: of a sudden, he round eighty five center women. He
- 42:48Speaker 1: want to have sex with a few old you're all
- 42:50Speaker 1: a sudden. It took ten years for that to come up.
- 42:53Speaker 1: So then can't ever happen if you're a man? Is
- 42:56Speaker 1: that what you're saying? Ten years and you not having
- 43:00Speaker 1: sex with a woman, but you ain't in prison? Man?
- 43:07Speaker 1: Who nobody? No man does that, No man does that?
- 43:13Speaker 1: All right? So he ain't cheated on his wife. He
- 43:15Speaker 1: stopped asking and trying ten years ago. They ain't had
- 43:18Speaker 1: sex in ten years. Answering this question, though, is it
- 43:21Speaker 1: time for him to end his marriage? You ain't in
- 43:24Speaker 1: no marriage. She just said, y'all was roommates. All right,
- 43:27Speaker 1: We're gonna get to this when Joe and the Bronx,
- 43:29Speaker 1: he says, I'm a fifty nine year old divorce man.
- 43:31Speaker 1: And I was known in my area for having a
- 43:33Speaker 1: lot of money because I got injured at work and
- 43:35Speaker 1: I got a huge settlement. I had a hard time
- 43:38Speaker 1: finding a good woman because they were all after my money.
- 43:41Speaker 1: When I met my current wife, she just moved to
- 43:43Speaker 1: New York. She was twenty four years younger than me.
- 43:46Speaker 1: It was a worldren romance. Until I married her and
- 43:48Speaker 1: she flipped the script. After two years of marriage, she
- 43:51Speaker 1: filed for divorce for no reason, and now she wants
- 43:53Speaker 1: a lot of my money. Her cousin called and told
- 43:56Speaker 1: me that she planned to do this all along. Is
- 43:58Speaker 1: there a way I can fight this voice without giving
- 44:01Speaker 1: her my money? I don't know how you gonna do it. Dog,
- 44:04Speaker 1: you thought all these women wanted your money? Didn't you
- 44:07Speaker 1: marry a woman twenty four years younger than you. You
- 44:09Speaker 1: ain't think that what she wanted? Stupid all these people,
- 44:16Speaker 1: ain't you? All right? We gotta move on. Coming up next,
- 44:20Speaker 1: speaking of stupid, coming up next to nephew in the
- 44:23Speaker 1: building with today's prying phone call. Right after this. You're
- 44:27Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harpy Morning Show coming up at
- 44:31Speaker 1: the top of the hour, right about four minutes after.
- 44:33Speaker 1: It's my strawberry letter for today's subject. Her husband was
- 44:37Speaker 1: my best friend. Her husband was my best friend. But
- 44:41Speaker 1: right now the nephew is here and it's time for
- 44:45Speaker 1: today's prank phone call. What you got for is naught.
- 44:48Speaker 1: I think I've done it. I'm sure because Steve has
- 44:51Speaker 1: done it. I'm probably pretty sure Junior didn't done it.
- 44:56Speaker 1: The day's title is he left his drawl? Oh god,
- 45:04Speaker 1: he left his draw I think every man on this
- 45:09Speaker 1: show and Jay Anthony this after today have left their
- 45:13Speaker 1: draws at one point in time. Your nephew, do you
- 45:18Speaker 1: remember the time you left your draw All of us
- 45:22Speaker 1: have done it. Yes, we've been caught out there. You
- 45:26Speaker 1: had to get dressed in a hurry. You you forgot
- 45:29Speaker 1: you've been in there when you had him on back
- 45:32Speaker 1: with inside out, or you just forgot him labeling the label.
- 45:38Speaker 1: He left one out Steve against you at first, and
- 45:48Speaker 1: then you pull him in because he didn't been there.
- 45:52Speaker 1: I know I got home one time and took my
- 45:56Speaker 1: pants off and head just one mege in my draw.
- 46:03Speaker 1: Other wrestle jaws are just bunched up. I was just in.
- 46:10Speaker 1: Why are you people? We all people who have had
- 46:14Speaker 1: problems with our draws share like that. I mean, what
- 46:20Speaker 1: is wrong? Which man? My jaws just inn toe off.
- 46:26Speaker 1: Try having a bunch of glitter on them the way
- 46:35Speaker 1: you should have left him there. You don't know. You
- 46:37Speaker 1: don't know that at the time. If you got black draws,
- 46:42Speaker 1: gold glitter, do not. It just shows up wrong. Let's
- 46:47Speaker 1: go catch dog. He left his draw? Hello? Yes, yes, Hey,
- 46:54Speaker 1: this is the doorman mark of your building. Okay, I
- 46:58Speaker 1: have a mistress in here who is trying to get

- 48:29Speaker 1: Right now that we're listening to you, and I'll rate
- 48:32Speaker 1: the way you're saying. I don't want to put this
- 48:33Speaker 1: car on the phone. Mark. If you want to keep
- 48:35Speaker 1: your job at the building, you gonna put him on
- 48:37Speaker 1: the phone now, is sir? Sorry? Miss, he's actually leaving
- 48:44Speaker 1: out of the building now, he's uh, what do you leave?

- 48:58Speaker 1: the building, right, Uh, yes, sir, But you know, if
- 49:01Speaker 1: nothing occurs, we I think we should have footage that
- 49:04Speaker 1: goes back at least two weeks, so we should be
- 49:06Speaker 1: able to pull some things out for you, sir. Yeah,
- 49:09Speaker 1: I'm gonna need you to get that, and I need

- 49:26Speaker 1: All right, well, please hear me out, sir, hear me out.
- 49:30Speaker 1: I have it. We haven't just let someone in, someone
- 49:33Speaker 1: in your unit buzz someone up. We didn't just let
- 49:37Speaker 1: anyone up. Now. I know you don't want to hear it,
- 49:40Speaker 1: but I'm assuming your wife buzz this guy just turns up.
- 49:46Speaker 1: We didn't do that. You should up and get me
- 49:49Speaker 1: what I asked for and then we're done. Okay. Well, well,
- 49:53Speaker 1: you know you're saying I have a problem. Maybe you

- 50:19Speaker 1: might packing out on me what you should be saying
- 50:21Speaker 1: to your wife. Somebody has got to dress up all
- 50:24Speaker 1: the time and always buzzing somebody up to the room
- 50:26Speaker 1: on your guard. That's what wanted me to the door man, missus?

- 50:46Speaker 1: keeps buzzing people up, sir. You know what, what the
- 50:49Speaker 1: business I'm a handle when I get home today is

- 54:59Speaker 1: It is a Strawbabite letter. Thank you nephew. Her husband
- 55:03Speaker 1: was my best friend. Dear Stephen Shirley, I am a
- 55:07Speaker 1: twenty seven year old single female and I'm in need
- 55:10Speaker 1: of advice. I've had a male best friend since high
- 55:14Speaker 1: school and he is an active duty officer in the military.
- 55:17Speaker 1: He's been away for nine months and he came home
- 55:19Speaker 1: in April. He got married while he was stationed in Hawaii,
- 55:23Speaker 1: and I was excited to meet his new wife and
- 55:25Speaker 1: see him. He planned a small welcome home party in
- 55:29Speaker 1: the backyard and it was just like old times. His
- 55:31Speaker 1: wife is beautiful and she's really cool, so I promised
- 55:35Speaker 1: to show her around our small town once the businesses
- 55:38Speaker 1: start to open up. They make a great couple, and
- 55:40Speaker 1: I told my best friend I was happy for him.
- 55:43Speaker 1: I got ready to leave and I got my phone
- 55:46Speaker 1: out to get an uber. My best friend told me
- 55:48Speaker 1: that it wasn't safe to be in someone else's car
- 55:51Speaker 1: because of a coronavirus, so he insisted on taking me home.
- 55:56Speaker 1: No sooner than we got in the car, he started
- 55:58Speaker 1: coming on to me. He's always wanted me and that
- 56:02Speaker 1: he wanted to bend me over and do me as
- 56:05Speaker 1: soon as he saw me in my sun dress. I
- 56:07Speaker 1: told him that it was not happening because things have
- 56:11Speaker 1: changed and that he's not single anymore. He told me
- 56:14Speaker 1: that we should be best friends with benefits and no
- 56:16Speaker 1: one has to know. I started crying because I was
- 56:19Speaker 1: so offended that he thought of me as just a
- 56:22Speaker 1: sex thing. I never thought of him in any kind
- 56:25Speaker 1: of way other than my good buddy. He apologized and
- 56:29Speaker 1: said he felt like this for years but didn't know
- 56:31Speaker 1: how to say it. All I had heard is that
- 56:35Speaker 1: he wants sex with me, and I felt and I
- 56:38Speaker 1: feel disrespected. He's still trying to pursue the friendship, but
- 56:42Speaker 1: I'm not so sure it can a friendship go back
- 56:44Speaker 1: to normal after this? Is this how all men think
- 56:46Speaker 1: about female best friends? Well, I gotta say I don't
- 56:50Speaker 1: know about all men, but you know so many men
- 56:54Speaker 1: that you talked to, and the men on this show
- 56:56Speaker 1: think that, Yeah. I mean, you know, they want to
- 56:59Speaker 1: get with you. There's a chance to do that. They're
- 57:01Speaker 1: not really your friends, they do want to get with
- 57:03Speaker 1: you if that door becomes open. You know this guy,
- 57:08Speaker 1: I mean, what a loser he is. You know, he
- 57:14Speaker 1: just got married and before you could even get in
- 57:16Speaker 1: the car good, he's all over you. He's had all
- 57:19Speaker 1: this time since high school to say that he wanted
- 57:23Speaker 1: to be with you. He couldn't find the words. He
- 57:25Speaker 1: found the words to propose to his wife and to
- 57:28Speaker 1: marry her. Why couldn't Why couldn't he do the same
- 57:32Speaker 1: for you? You know, and you guys are really good friends.
- 57:36Speaker 1: I don't trust him. I don't like this guy. He's
- 57:38Speaker 1: way out of line. The only thing that he could
- 57:40Speaker 1: have done to me to be more disrespectful is to
- 57:43Speaker 1: actually have slept with you. But thank god, you stood
- 57:47Speaker 1: up for yourself and you didn't allow that. He's not
- 57:51Speaker 1: your friend. He's still trying to get with you any
- 57:54Speaker 1: chance he can get. He's still trying to figure out ways.
- 57:57Speaker 1: You know that we could do this, We could be
- 58:00Speaker 1: friends with benefits and all that. No, I suggest to you,
- 58:03Speaker 1: this is my advice, do some social distancing. I know
- 58:06Speaker 1: you like his new wife and all of that. Yeah,
- 58:08Speaker 1: but you don't need to be friends with him. Just
- 58:11Speaker 1: some social distancing from this guy. Okay, Steve, you're twenty
- 58:17Speaker 1: seven versus when you all first became friends back in
- 58:21Speaker 1: high school. I can assure you you've blossomed. I can
- 58:25Speaker 1: assure you you are probably way flyer now than you
- 58:35Speaker 1: were then. Well, but you all have always been best friends.
- 58:40Speaker 1: He's been stationed overseas. He got married while he was
- 58:43Speaker 1: stationed there, and so he playing a small welcoming home
- 58:47Speaker 1: party in the backyard and it was just like old times.
- 58:52Speaker 1: And his wife is beautiful. She's really cool. So I
- 58:55Speaker 1: promised to show around, you know, So now they make
- 58:58Speaker 1: a good couple of You got readily. You got rink
- 59:00Speaker 1: call of uh blah blah blah blah. He said, he
- 59:02Speaker 1: it's too dangerous coronavirus. You can't do that. Right now.
- 59:06Speaker 1: So he insisted on taking you home. No. Sooner we
- 59:10Speaker 1: got in the car, he started coming on to me,
- 59:13Speaker 1: saying he wanted me and that he wanted to bend
- 59:18Speaker 1: me over and do me as soon as he saw
- 59:21Speaker 1: me and my son dress. I sweating. God, and ain't
- 59:26Speaker 1: a man listening to this that ain't said then exact
- 59:31Speaker 1: damn words in his mind at least three hundred times.
- 59:38Speaker 1: Make that, make that four fifty fifty same scenario with
- 59:47Speaker 1: your in the same scenario. No, just that sentence. Oh
- 59:52Speaker 1: all right, yeah, so we only a little different. Put
- 59:58Speaker 1: the hell hold up, and my grandson had walked in.
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: Hold up, man, I'm on the radio. What okay? So
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: not at out and got the TV cut back off,
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: apologized grandson and came in here on some damn cheeses.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: This is what working at home. It's like doing the quarantine. Yes,
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: so if you think that y'all just at the house
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: dealing with it. My damn son and dropped these grandkids
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: off because he need a break. Ain't that enough to hear?
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: He think I need? Yeah, the lady and the letter
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: need helping. Paul, Paul do too. All right, listen, we'll
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: have part two. If Steve's response coming up at twenty
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: three minutes after the our subject her husband was my
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: best friend. We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: You're listening Morning show, all right, Steve, come on, let's
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: recap today's strawberry letter. You had time to gather yourself
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: on the break subject her husband was my best friend.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: Let's go well. This woman is twenty seven years old,
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: has had a best friend since high school. He's an
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: active duty officer in the military. He's been away from
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: nine months. He came home in April when he got
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: married while he was stationed in the White You was
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: excited to meet his new wife and to see him.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: He played a small welcome home party in the backyard
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: like his old time. Wife is beautiful, so the lady
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: twenty seven year old girl in the letters. Lady says
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: in the letter she was gonna show around a small
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: town once to busince the start open him and you know,
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: she said they make a great couple. I told her
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: best friend, I was happy for him. So she got
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: ready to leave it. She called got ray caller uber
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: he said no cause of the coronavirus. He assisted on
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: taking me home and anyway, no sooner they got in
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: the car, he started coming on to him, talking about
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: he always wanted Hune. He wanted to bend me over
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: and do me as soon as he saw me and
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: my son dress. Okay, that line has been said, I
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: said three hundred times by every man. Tommy all thought it.
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: Tommy that said four fifty. Yeah. I told him it
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: was not happening because things have changed and he's not
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: single anymore right now. That threw me a little bit
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: because I was kind of thinking, were they a little
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: bit more than friends before? Yeah, things have changed now
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: you're not single anymore. So I didn't get that. That's
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: not what the letters about. He told me that y'all
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: should be best friends with benefits and no one has
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: to know. This broke the girl's heart. She started crying
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: because she was so offended that he thought of me
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: just as a sex thing. I never thought him of
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: any kind of way other than my good buddy. Well, sister,
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: the roost is up. Now, you know, he didn't just
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: start feeling this way about you. He'd been feeling this way.
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: There are a lot of men who feel that way
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: about their so called best female friends. There are a
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: lot of men who feel that exact same way, but
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: because there's usually something going on in the female's life
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: that prohibits him or he don't want to blow the
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: relationship being friends here, keep it to itself, but at
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: one point in time it usually surfaced. It's not one
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: h always the case. I'll just say that, but ninety
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: nine point nine point nine nine nine percent of the time,
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: damn it. Those are huge odds. Yeah. Yeah, because if
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: you are attractive in any way, he is attracted to
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: you in that way, a man is gonna be a man. Look,
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: you ain't just fine to his friends. He see that.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: Now he may be in a relationship and be able
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: to play that off, but you still find to him.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: So he apologized and said he felt like this for
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: years but didn't know how to say it. Well, see
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: now he didn't change. He went to the military, he'd
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: been in Hawaii. He's changed. He's not the same guy.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: But guess what, you're not the same little girl anymore either.
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: You're a grown woman. All I heard is that he
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: wants sex with me, and I feel disrespected. See had
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: he came on to you in a different way without
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: the wife, y'all might be up the road somewhere with
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: this and got a wife. And then it came back
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: and said, nah, I just want you for sex, and
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: that hurt you, and you have every right to be hurt.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: He's still trying to pursue the friendship, but I'm not
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: so sure the friendship that's over. That's over. Now. Listen
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: to me carefully, because what I'm about to say it's
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: gonna be controversy. The reason yours friendship is over it
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: is because I have a lot of friends. I have
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: never told any one of my buddies I want to
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: bend you over when I saw you and do you
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: in that damn son dressed? I've never had that thought
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: ever about it now one of my buddies, not one
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: of them. So how are you gonna go back to
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: just being friendship? And then she said, kind of friendship?
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: Go back to normal after this? What you don't think
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: that's in the back of It's been in the back
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: of his mind for years. I don't want to go there,
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: and now it's in the front of his mind. He
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: gonna propose this to you again. Why don't you propose
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: to her? Proposed to her? You understand, And that's why
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: the sister is so hurt. Yeah. No, this friendship was
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: for a season. It has ran its season. He has
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: a wife. Now let him find a new best friend.
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: It should be her. She's beautiful. They make a nice
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: couple and don't get over there contribute to the damage
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: of it. I don't think she is. She doesn't sound
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: like that kind of No, she's not that techol. She
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: stood up for herself very well. I like that. Hey man,
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: what you need? All right, It's been a good run though.
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: All right, So poster comments on today's Strawberry Letter. It's
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: Steve Harvey FM on Instagram and Facebook, and please check
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: out the Strawberry Letter podcast on demand now coming up
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: at forty six minutes after the hour. New surveillance videos
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: show multiple people trespassed at the home armud Arbory visited. Okay,
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: the same house. A lot of people were there. That's
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: what the video is showing. We're going to talk about
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: that right after this. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: New surveillance videos show multiple people had trespassed at the
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: same Brunswick, Georgia home armaud Rbory visited, but he was
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: the only one killed. There are around eleven surveillance videos
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: from the October twenty nineteen to February twenty twenty time period,
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: and three of the videos you see a man and
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: a woman entering the property. You see children children entering
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: the home as well. The homeowner, Larry English, does not
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: know any of these people seen in his home security footage.
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: The suspects, Greg and his son Travis McMichael are currently
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: being held in jail without bond on charges of murder
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: and aggravated assault. So good when houses are being constructed,
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: I've done it. I don't know a person that doesn't
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: walk on construction sites just to take a look. I've
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: always been that guy. Man, I've I've done that within
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: recent time. You know, go to see a house that
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: under construction, you know, go see I walk out on lots,
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: all kinds of stuff. Man. Got the architecture, man, that's
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: what you're going to and you want to see them
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: before and after the after they finish it. You go
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: buy and see. Right. I love the framing of a
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: house because I visualize. You know, the only problem this
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: young man had was he went in there black. Thank you,
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: thank you. That is it. That's that's the difference. But
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: you know what, I'm really surprised about though, that these
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: guys are still in jail. Yeah, no, Bond, I'm not
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: really surprised about that. Man. That's a really really good sign.
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: And I think, you know, every now and then they
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: make a case, and I think that they've picked these
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: two guys that's gonna be the case. And I wish
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: somebody would pick this up and put it on the wire.
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: Steve Harvey really does wish in his heart that African
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: Americans could get some outside help with these things. It's
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: not that we're incompetent, because we have some of the
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: best lawyers in the world. It's just that we can't
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: fight this alone. Hate crime participated by everybody, the Jewish
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: Defense League, the ACLU, because I hate crime is hate,
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: and once you allow hate to surface and survive, it
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: doesn't stop. If it's over here, it's coming over there.
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: Because hate is like cancer. Man, it don't care. We
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: need some other folks to staying with us on this
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: and help us with this. We do, and we'll keep
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: you updated on this story, all right. Coming up at
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: the top of the hour, Guys and Junior's trending sports news.
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: Lebron James has thanked Michael Jordan for being his superhero.
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: You're gonna talk about that, right, Junior is gonna tell
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: us all about it at the top of the hour.
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: We'll be right back. You're listening, all right, As promised,
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: Junior is here with today's trending sports news. Shirley. Let's
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: not calling sports news, Okay, let's just it's just something
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: we heard about. Sports solid is defeated, Yeah, because we
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: ain't got no games. Worse, we just talking about stuffing
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: off the court, talking about Lebron Jamesons thank Michael Jordan
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: for being his inspiration and superhero. In addition, Lebron tweeted
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: I love the greats and would have loved to play
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: with them all during their runs because I'm a history
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: of the game. But I also would die to compete
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: verse every single one of them. Now, I don't know,
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: I can't Taylor, Bron, You're gonna be able to deal
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: with something players that play back then, I mean, yeah,
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: I think he would. I think with his mindset and
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: his work ethic, he could have got in there and competed. Yeah.
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: And you know something, Junior, when I looked at the series,
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: you know who, I really had to give a lot
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: of credit to man that damn Kobe Bryant man. Oh yeah,
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: because let me tell you something, man, Kobe came into
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: the league out of high school. He was playing with gangsters.
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: Many dog Kobe, Kobe had to come into the league
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: and play against gangsters. And did it dog dog dog
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: that that that young soldier was made out of something else?
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: Dog he played against. He was in there with them, dudes. Yes,
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: it was legends. Yeah. Nick van Ex was a good
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: friend of mine and Eddie Jones a good friend of mine,
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: and they were talking. Yeah you got their cell numbers, Yeah,
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: I got, he said. Kobe Brant came in the gym,
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: came to practice and was doing the veterans at practice.
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: He said he had every arsenal that they had worked
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: ten years to get. He came in the league at eighteen.
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: He faded away, dunking on all levels. They had attracted
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: new jobs. They knew they were gonna start Heaven, we
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: gotta because he gonna take this job. It is. I
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: think Kobe was a special, special guy, the greatest player
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: on earth to ever lace up sneakers. It's Michael Jordan.
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: Kobe even said in the thing, he said, hey, man,
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: y'all quit trying to camp Paris. He said, if it
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: was no Jordan, that would have never been a Kobe.
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: And I love the way him. I love the way Lebron.
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: They are such students of the game and and and
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: committed to their craft, that game recognized game. They recognize
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: each other's greatness. Yea. And they they don't talk like
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: won't they know that all the dude is bad. Jordan
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: knew Kobe was great, Kobe Jan was great. Lebron, No,
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: Jordan's great. Jordan, Jordan being the games, he know, he
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: know Lebron the truth. Kevin Durant Cole. Oh he's unstoppable.
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: Oh shit, he Lebron, What are you saying like that? No, No,
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: that faith, No, until he take his ass somewhere and
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: when one because he k d see Lebron went to
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: my AMMI one one took his ass back to Cleveland.
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: One one ye out here in Lady was gonna win
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: it this year if the season had nobody gonna beat
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: them Houston. You know, y'all had started already, started falling
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: apart already already. You know, No, y'all started off smoking.
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: And then something happened, and y'all got my favorite player
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: in the league. On your team, Ussell, Bro, that's my
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: favorite dude. That boy's engine is unbelievable. Wow. If I
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: could have anybody's game playing professional basketball right now, if
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: I could have Russell's game, talk to me. I have
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: an assistant sitting right here. Love it, crazy man. All right,
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: coming up with have more of the Steve Harvey Morning

- 1:15:05Speaker 1: right after this you're listening show, all right, Junior, So
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: you were talking about Lebron when we left, Uh, what
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: about him going to the Dallas Cowboys. Lebron James, he
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: actually thought about leaving basketball in twenty eleven during the
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: NBA lockout. Now, Lebron thought about going to the NFL
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: and actually got a contract from Jerry Jones and the
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: Dallas Cowboys, but things worked out. He went back to basketball,
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: but he did frame the contract. He was gonna play
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: tight end. Lebron James playing tight end for the Peter
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: Ran across that middle One time he got a basketball
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: he played on he played in school. He said he
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: was good. But I know we talk about the project. Yeah,
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: you ain't been hit since high school. I understand every
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: school in the pros. You did you played football on school,
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: Don Junior? Yeah, yeah, but I'm not. I wouldn't gonna
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: go to the end of fans because which play running back?
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: But I will say nothing he said running back. Yeah,
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: I'm just a starter. Hep hep, go in. But man,
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: we're just glad he chose basketball because I couldn't see that.
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: You couldn't see him. No, no, no, he would not
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: be the star he is because first of all, we
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: wouldn't know. Come on one trip. Wait a minute, I
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: just call yourself. Hold on, man, I had to hold
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: my chest. Just now. More of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: Show and some trending news coming up at thirty three
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: minutes after the hour. Right after this, you're listening to show.
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: President Trump will not hold a ceremony at the White
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: House for the unveiling of former President Barack Obama's portrait.
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: Uh this, Mark, Yeah, this is it. It's like beyond
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: even petty. Now you're you're ridiculous with it. Reach. This
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: marks a break from a forty year tradition honored by
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: presidents from both parties. Mister Trump and mister Obama have
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: had extraordinarily contentious relationship. We have to say that they have,
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: and it's mostly because of you know, Trump bashing him,
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: and Barack Obama has just started to speak out recently
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: a new low in recent days as Trump made unfounded
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: accusations that mister Obama committed an unspecified crime. We don't
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: know what the crime is, we I mean, come on,
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: He's been picking on Barack Obama since before he was president,
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: you know, talking about he wasn't born here. If you think,
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: if this country re elects Donald Trump, that's the low.
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: See at first, the first time, they didn't know. I
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: think I think they voted for him because he was
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: just different. He was a reality star, and they thought
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: he knew a lot about business. He was going to
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: really be great for the business of the country. He
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: was gonna get America back to work again. That's the
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: promise he ran up. He ain't got no jobs back.
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: The coal miners. He promised, we're bringing cold back. He
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: ain't bought a damn thing back. If they reelect him
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: this time, then the country will sink to a new
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: low in terms of morality. The whole world is immoral.
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: There are places that's worse than others, but we will
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: sink to out one of our country's lowest points of
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: morality in this century. If they reelect him, because now
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: they know, and if you could ignore who he really
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: is and make him the president of your nation again,
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: that's different. That's a new loan for me. Governor of
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: New York was saying in his news news conference that
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: because of this new world order we're in the government
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: has to really know what they're doing now. They really
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: have to know because you know, we've we've had a
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: lesson from how it is now. Yeah, in leadership. So
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: he was saying, for instance, if you want to be
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: a nurse, you have to be trained to be a nurse.
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: If you want to be a doctor, you have to
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: go to school and be trained to be a doctor. Lawyer,
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: he said, so if you're in government. He did not
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: mention any names, but we all knew who he was
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: speaking about. If you want to be in government, you
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: need to know what you're doing periods. Yes, you're taking
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: appeals that the FDA, everybody else here taking peals. Everybody
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: told him not to take all. Right, coming up, guy,
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: it's our last break of the day. Break order to that, Yeah,
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: and then we'll have some closing remarks from the one
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: and only Steve Harvey at forty nine minutes after coming
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: up right after this, you're listening to all right here
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: we are guys, last break of the day. It's been
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: a good day. Yes, No, you don't have to say
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: it now, Steve. But if I want to swallowed one, hey, listen, guys,
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: if you're not doing anything tonight, please join me for
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: a WHU are live on Instagram with my girl Angela stribbling,
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: the beautiful Angela Stribbling. That's at nine pm Eastern. We're
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: gonna just, you know, do a little girl talk, girl chat,
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: little convo about you know, the world we live in,
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: all of that, just fun stuff. It's gonna be fun.
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: Nine o'clock tonight, Eastern. Cool. Sure, it's gonna be fun. Yeah,
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: that's sure. I think I'm next week with us. Yeah?
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: Are you okay? You know they had to get us
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: back to I'm gonna be the week after you call.
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: Go ahead, listen, I just need to be talking. Why see, anybody,
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna were in the gracing next year? What you
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: got for Steve Harvey closing? Where are you? No, I'm
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: right here. You know you're thinking, oh, you're you're going
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: over your your thoughts. Yeah, you know, Um, I was
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: talking yesterday about album how I had. UM watched Joel
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: Oldstein talk about power thinking, and I wanted to kind
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: of piggyback on that a little bit more because, you know,
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: doing this situation, it's imperative that we take more and
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: more control of our thoughts because if you're not careful,
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: this thing can get away from you a little bit.
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: Because it is so challenging on so many levels for
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: all of us to be confined, and then to couple
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: that with so many people out of work right now,
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: and then to couple that with people are being asked
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: to do homeschool duties when clearly that's not their thing.
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: And then the children are so restricted now with their
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: lack of movement and social activities that they're missing out on.
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: I mean, there's people miss graduations, proms this year, it's
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: weddings that had to be canceled. So it's been a
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: life altering situation for all of us. And like I
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: was saying yesterday, so first time in my life where
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: everybody in the world has something in common. See, we
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: all really do have something in common anyway, but it
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: took a crisis to point that out. See, we are
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: all created by God, we are all his children, We
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: are all created equal by God. Now we've created some
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: divisions in this thing ourselves and got some people thinking
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: that they're better than some people because of the way
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: they look, or what they believe, or how they think,
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: or where they live or how much they make. But
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: in essence, we should all be aware that we are
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: so connected. The thing about this crisis is it is finally,
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: for the first time, made all of us who have
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: good sense realize that we are all connected, that we
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: all have a responsibility for one another. See what the
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: COVID has done, It's made us realize that we truly
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: are our brother's keeper. If we don't participate in the quarantine,
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: if we don't practice social distancing, if we don't wash
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: our hands, if we don't wear a mask, guess what,
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: we can wipe each other out. We can mess around
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: and wipe each other out and we're not Look, nothing's
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: going to happen to get rid of mankind. But let
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: me tell you something, if you lose someone you love,
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: that's devastating, man, that's absolutely devastating. So what this COVID
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: thing has done has made me very, very aware of
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: the connectivity between all of us that are humans. I
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: have friends all over the world. That's the conversation when
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: we talk. I don't care where they are, I don't
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: care what continent they live on. If I talk to
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: them from South America to Africa, to the Philippines, to
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: the Middle East, to America to all of the islands,
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: the conversation is the same. So as we prepare to
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: open back up these states and it's disinevitable, it's not
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: going to not happen. We have got to continue to
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: be smart and take care of ourselves in one another
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: and especially your loved ones. You have to think about
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: who you're in contact with, because when you go home,
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: you have to consider who may get affected at your
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: house that's older than you and may not have the
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: immune system that you have, or may have a preexisting condition.
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: But in spite of all of that, you still have
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: the power to choose God. You have that right now.
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: You can choose to be what you were born and
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: created to be. You can choose right now to be
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: a child of God. That's what you are. You don't
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: need anybody's permission. All you gotta do is turned to Him.
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: And say, hey, lords me. I know you ain't heard
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: from me in a while, but listen, this has kind
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: of been bringing some things closer to my attention and
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: my focus, and I like to turn some things over
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: to you right now because it's so much beyond my control.
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: Right now, I really would like for you to take
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: the wheel for a while, because I have driven myself
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: to this point and I really don't know where I'm
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: going after this. My job is gone, but I'm pretty
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: sure that you must have something else in place for me.
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: I'm not sure about when will go back to work,
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: but I'm pretty sure you will prepare me for that.
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: I don't know how I'm gonna make these ends meet,
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: but God, I've been through worth time rough times before.
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: This is a fine time for you to turn over
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: the wheel to God and let him drive. I mean, really, y'all,
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. God
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: is available right now. Try it. Those are my closing
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: remarks today. It amen, brother, Yes, sir, y'all, have a
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: great another day for all. Steve Harvey contests No purchase
