0:58
Doesn'T
0:59
get
0:59
much
0:59
better
0:59
than
1:00
best
1:00
conditioned.
1:02
And
1:02
completing
1:03
the
1:03
challenge
1:04
is
1:04
the
1:04
challenge.
1:06
You're
1:06
an
1:06
endurance
1:07
rider.
1:09
That's
1:09
right.
1:10
It
1:10
is
1:10
endurance
1:10
day
1:11
here
1:11
on
1:11
Horses
1:12
in
1:12
the
1:12
Morning.
1:12
Karen
1:13
is
1:13
back
1:13
and
1:13
she's
1:14
been
1:14
on
1:14
a
1:14
few
1:14
endurance
1:15
rides.
1:15
We're
1:15
going
1:15
to
1:15
talk
1:16
about
1:16
in
1:16
a
1:16
minute,
1:16
but
1:17
in
1:17
the
1:17
meantime,
1:17
Karen,
1:18
who
1:18
do
1:18
we
1:18
have
1:18
coming
1:18
up
1:18
on
1:19
today's
1:19
show?
1:19
You
1:19
have
1:19
a,
1:19
you
1:20
have
1:20
a
1:20
full
1:20
one
1:20
planned?
1:21
Yes,
1:22
we
1:22
do.
1:22
First
1:23
off,
1:23
we
1:23
have
1:23
Ashley
1:24
Wingert
1:25
who
1:25
tells
1:26
us
1:26
all
1:26
about
1:26
her
1:26
adventure
1:27
riding
1:27
in
1:27
the
1:28
Tom
1:28
Quilty
1:28
Gold
1:29
cup,
1:29
Australia's
1:30
premier
1:31
100
1:31
mile
1:32
ride.
1:33
Dr.
1:33
Lucian
1:34
Spataro
1:34
Jr.
1:35
On
1:36
how
1:36
to
1:36
increase
1:37
participation
1:37
and
1:38
endurance.
1:39
We're
1:39
also
1:40
going
1:40
to
1:40
talk
1:40
about
1:41
negative
1:41
splits,
1:42
which
1:43
is
1:43
riding
1:43
the
1:44
first
1:44
half
1:44
of
1:44
an
1:45
endurance
1:45
ride
1:45
slower
1:46
than
1:46
the
1:46
second.
1:47
Listen
1:47
in.
1:48
All
1:48
right,
1:48
great.
1:48
But
1:48
in
1:49
the
1:49
meantime,
1:50
you
1:50
have
1:51
a
1:51
new
1:51
favorite
1:51
horse.
1:52
Your
1:52
new
1:52
favorite
1:53
horse's
1:53
name
1:53
is
1:53
Jovi
1:54
because
1:54
we
1:54
don't
1:54
hear
1:55
about
1:55
the
1:55
other
1:55
one
1:55
anymore.
1:56
So
1:57
Jovi,
1:57
you've
1:58
done
1:58
a
1:58
ton
1:58
with
1:58
Jovi
1:59
since
1:59
we've
1:59
talked
2:00
last.
2:00
I
2:00
have,
2:01
I've
2:01
got,
2:01
the
2:01
two
2:02
younger
2:03
new
2:03
ones
2:03
are
2:03
still,
2:04
still
2:04
getting
2:04
started
2:05
and
2:05
trained
2:05
so
2:06
that
2:06
they're,
2:07
you
2:07
know,
2:08
they're
2:08
coming
2:08
along.
2:09
But
2:09
Jovi,
2:10
I've
2:11
put
2:11
the
2:11
last
2:12
good
2:12
two
2:13
years
2:13
into
2:13
getting
2:14
him
2:14
going.
2:15
And
2:16
of
2:16
course
2:16
he
2:17
is
2:17
named
2:17
after
2:17
a
2:18
rock
2:18
star,
2:18
which
2:19
he
2:19
is
2:19
living
2:19
up
2:19
to
2:20
his
2:20
name.
2:20
So
2:21
we're,
2:21
we're
2:21
having
2:22
so
2:22
much,
2:22
I've
2:22
been
2:23
having
2:23
so
2:23
much
2:23
fun
2:23
with
2:24
this
2:24
horse.
2:24
He's
2:25
turning
2:25
out
2:26
to
2:26
be
2:26
just
2:27
golden.
2:27
I
2:27
just,
2:28
I
2:28
just
2:28
adore
2:29
him.
2:30
So
2:30
I've
2:30
been
2:31
since
2:31
the
2:32
last
2:32
time
2:32
we
2:32
talked,
2:33
Glenn,
2:33
I
2:34
have
2:34
done,
2:35
I
2:35
did
2:35
a
2:35
two
2:36
day
2:36
raw
2:36
hit.
2:37
Jovi's
2:37
first
2:37
two
2:38
day
2:38
ride
2:38
back
2:38
to
2:39
back
2:39
50s
2:40
at
2:40
Riders
2:40
of
2:40
the
2:41
Lost
2:41
Sierra
2:41
in
2:42
Northern
2:42
California.
2:43
That
2:43
was
2:43
in
2:43
September
2:45
and
2:45
the
2:45
ride
2:45
was
2:46
really,
2:46
really
2:46
tough.
2:47
We
2:48
turned
2:48
out
2:48
to
2:48
be
2:48
the
2:49
only
2:49
team
2:50
horse
2:50
and
2:50
rider
2:51
team
2:51
that
2:51
completed
2:52
both
2:52
days.
2:53
And
2:53
so
2:53
we
2:53
earned
2:54
the
2:54
Mountain
2:54
Warrior
2:55
award
2:56
which
2:56
was
2:57
Kind
2:57
of
2:57
cool
2:58
because
2:58
it
2:58
was
2:58
a
2:58
tough
2:59
ride.
2:59
Tons
2:59
of
2:59
elevation.
3:00
The
3:01
ride
3:01
started
3:02
with
3:02
us
3:02
leaving
3:03
camp
3:03
and
3:03
immediately
3:04
going
3:04
through
3:05
mud
3:05
bogs.
3:05
So
3:06
that's
3:06
fun.
3:07
Yeah,
3:09
yeah.
3:10
Right
3:10
off
3:10
at
3:10
the
3:10
start,
3:11
right.
3:11
You
3:11
know,
3:12
when
3:12
they're
3:12
all
3:12
fresh
3:13
and
3:13
everybody's,
3:14
you
3:14
know,
3:14
and
3:14
it's
3:14
slowed
3:15
them
3:15
down.
3:15
Morning.
3:16
Oh,
3:17
gosh.
3:17
And
3:17
so,
3:17
yeah,
3:18
then
3:18
we're
3:18
literally
3:19
climbing
3:19
mountains
3:20
and
3:21
up
3:21
and
3:21
down
3:21
and
3:22
up
3:22
and
3:22
down.
3:22
And
3:23
that
3:23
was
3:23
an
3:23
interesting
3:24
couple
3:25
of
3:25
days.
3:26
We,
3:26
you
3:26
know,
3:27
we
3:27
had
3:27
a
3:28
really
3:28
good
3:28
time
3:30
on.
3:31
I
3:31
think
3:31
it
3:31
was
3:31
the
3:31
first
3:32
day
3:33
there
3:33
were
3:34
loggers
3:35
because
3:35
they
3:36
log
3:36
up
3:37
on
3:37
this
3:37
big
3:38
mountain
3:38
that
3:38
we
3:38
were
3:39
on.
3:39
And
3:40
we
3:40
ended
3:41
up.
3:41
There
3:41
was
3:41
like
3:42
three
3:42
of
3:42
us
3:42
riders
3:43
on
3:43
our
3:43
horses
3:44
coming
3:44
along
3:45
down
3:45
the
3:45
trail.
3:46
And
3:47
one
3:47
of
3:47
the
3:47
loggers
3:48
kind
3:48
of
3:49
tells
3:49
us
3:49
to
3:49
stop,
3:50
and
3:50
he
3:50
says,
3:50
we'd
3:50
like
3:51
for
3:51
you
3:51
to
3:51
stop
3:51
here
3:51
and
3:52
wait
3:52
while
3:52
we
3:52
fell.
3:53
This
3:53
tree,
3:55
and
3:55
this
3:55
is
3:55
like
3:55
this
3:56
big.
3:56
I
3:57
mean,
3:57
it's
3:57
two
3:57
feet
3:58
wide
3:59
at
3:59
least.
4:00
Ginormous,
4:00
enormous
4:01
pine
4:01
tree.
4:02
There's
4:02
a
4:02
guy
4:03
who
4:03
doesn't
4:03
understand
4:03
horses.
4:05
And
4:06
we
4:06
all.
4:06
We're.
4:07
I
4:08
mean,
4:08
we
4:08
didn't
4:08
even
4:09
have
4:09
to
4:09
look
4:09
at
4:09
each
4:09
other.
4:10
We
4:10
were
4:10
like.
4:11
All
4:11
of
4:11
us
4:11
were
4:11
like,
4:12
nope,
4:12
nope.
4:13
We
4:13
are
4:14
not
4:14
gonna
4:14
sit
4:14
here
4:15
and
4:15
wait
4:15
for
4:15
that
4:15
tree
4:16
to
4:16
come
4:16
down.
4:16
Are
4:17
you
4:17
kidding
4:17
me?
4:20
We're
4:20
like,
4:20
no,
4:21
we're
4:21
gonna
4:21
keep.
4:22
So
4:22
we
4:22
all
4:22
just
4:22
were
4:23
like,
4:23
we're
4:23
going.
4:23
We're
4:24
gonna
4:24
get
4:24
out
4:24
of
4:24
here.
4:25
Goodbye.
4:26
Did
4:26
he
4:26
let
4:27
you.
4:27
I
4:27
mean,
4:27
he
4:27
was
4:27
okay?
4:28
Well,
4:29
yeah.
4:29
I
4:29
mean,
4:29
he
4:29
didn't
4:30
have
4:30
a
4:30
choice.
4:30
We
4:30
were
4:31
going
4:31
because,
4:32
I
4:32
mean,
4:33
there's
4:33
no
4:33
way
4:33
you
4:34
would
4:34
sit
4:34
there
4:34
and
4:35
watch
4:35
a
4:35
ginormous
4:36
pine
4:36
tree
4:36
fall
4:37
because.
4:37
They
4:37
make
4:38
no
4:38
noise
4:38
when
4:38
they
4:39
fall
4:39
either.
4:40
Oh,
4:40
my
4:41
God.
4:41
Can
4:41
you
4:41
imagine?
4:43
Oh,
4:44
gosh.
4:44
You
4:44
know,
4:45
normally
4:46
they're
4:46
not
4:46
even
4:46
supposed
4:47
to
4:47
be
4:47
logging
4:48
up
4:48
there
4:48
on
4:48
the
4:48
weekend,
4:49
but
4:49
for
4:49
some
4:49
reason
4:50
they
4:50
were.
4:51
And
4:51
so
4:52
anyway,
4:52
we
4:53
kept
4:53
on
4:53
going.
4:54
And
4:54
then
4:54
the
4:54
next
4:55
day,
4:55
I'm
4:56
riding
4:56
along,
4:56
I
4:57
come
4:57
around
4:57
and
4:57
turn
4:58
it
4:58
just
4:58
in
4:58
time
4:59
to
4:59
see
4:59
some
4:59
gu.
5:00
Probably
5:01
in
5:01
his
5:01
early
5:02
20s,
5:03
racing
5:04
up
5:04
a
5:04
super
5:05
almost
5:05
straight
5:06
up
5:06
hill
5:07
on
5:07
his
5:07
motorcycle.
5:09
And
5:09
needless
5:10
to
5:10
say,
5:10
he
5:10
got
5:10
so
5:11
far
5:11
up
5:11
when
5:11
gravity
5:12
took
5:12
over.
5:14
Yeah.
5:16
Who
5:16
got
5:17
down
5:17
first,
5:17
he
5:17
or
5:17
the
5:18
motorcycle?
5:19
Well,
5:20
they
5:20
both
5:20
were
5:21
just
5:21
rolling
5:21
and
5:22
bouncing
5:22
and
5:22
da,
5:22
da,
5:22
da,
5:23
da,
5:23
da,
5:23
da.
5:23
And
5:23
I
5:24
pulled
5:24
out
5:24
my
5:24
phone
5:25
and
5:26
of
5:26
course,
5:26
I
5:26
only
5:27
got
5:27
the
5:27
photo
5:27
of
5:28
them
5:28
near
5:29
the
5:29
bottom
5:29
with
5:30
the
5:30
guy
5:30
lying
5:30
on
5:31
his
5:31
back.
5:31
And
5:32
all
5:32
of
5:32
his
5:32
friends
5:32
were
5:33
running
5:33
up
5:33
to
5:33
him
5:34
and
5:34
they
5:34
turned
5:34
around
5:34
and
5:35
saw
5:35
me.
5:35
They
5:35
said,
5:35
hey,
5:36
did
5:36
you
5:36
get
5:36
that
5:36
on
5:37
video?
5:37
Oh,
5:37
my
5:37
God.
5:38
Yeah,
5:38
we
5:38
don't
5:38
care
5:39
if
5:39
he's
5:39
all
5:39
right.
5:39
Did
5:39
you
5:39
get
5:39
it
5:40
on
5:40
video?
5:41
Exactly.
5:42
I
5:42
was
5:42
like,
5:42
I'm
5:43
sorry.
5:43
I
5:43
was
5:44
like
5:44
five
5:45
seconds
5:45
too
5:45
slow
5:46
for
5:46
that.
5:46
I
5:46
was
5:47
so
5:47
close,
5:47
though.
5:47
But
5:48
I
5:48
saw
5:48
it.
5:49
I
5:49
was
5:49
like,
5:49
oh,
5:50
my
5:50
gosh.
5:50
How
5:51
did
5:51
these
5:51
people
5:51
ever
5:52
make
5:52
it
5:52
to
5:52
adulthood?
5:53
It's.
5:54
Good
5:54
job.
5:54
He's
5:55
like
5:55
a
5:55
trooper.
5:56
Oh,
5:56
my
5:56
gosh.
5:57
Oh,
5:57
yeah.
5:58
Yeah.
5:58
He
5:59
did
5:59
really
5:59
good.
5:59
So
5:59
after
6:00
that
6:00
ride,
6:02
the
6:02
next
6:03
month,
6:03
we
6:03
went
6:03
to
6:04
the
6:04
red
6:04
Rock
6:04
Rumble
6:05
50,
6:05
which
6:05
is
6:06
just
6:06
north
6:06
of
6:06
Reno.
6:07
And
6:08
I
6:08
rode
6:08
for
6:09
that
6:09
one
6:09
then.
6:09
That's
6:10
right.
6:10
No,
6:10
that
6:10
one.
6:11
That
6:11
one's
6:11
a
6:11
really.
6:12
Yeah,
6:12
really
6:13
nice.
6:13
It's
6:13
only
6:13
just
6:14
a
6:14
little
6:14
over
6:14
maybe
6:15
an
6:15
hour,
6:15
hour
6:16
and
6:16
a
6:16
half
6:16
away.
6:17
So
6:17
that
6:17
was.
6:18
That
6:18
was
6:18
nice.
6:19
And
6:19
so
6:19
that
6:20
gave
6:20
us
6:20
a
6:21
successful
6:21
completion
6:22
of
6:22
all
6:22
three
6:23
of
6:23
the
6:24
Nastar
6:24
Nevada
6:25
Allstate
6:25
Trail
6:25
Riders.
6:26
Fifties.
6:26
This.
6:27
And
6:28
I
6:28
got
6:28
to
6:28
ride
6:28
with
6:29
my
6:29
friend
6:30
who
6:31
previously
6:32
this
6:32
year,
6:33
you
6:33
might
6:33
remember,
6:34
I
6:35
was
6:35
talking
6:36
about.
6:37
God,
6:37
what
6:37
month
6:38
was
6:38
that?
6:38
June,
6:39
where
6:39
her
6:39
horse
6:40
spooked
6:40
and
6:41
bolted
6:41
off
6:41
the
6:41
side
6:42
of
6:42
the
6:42
mountain
6:43
with
6:44
her.
6:44
And
6:45
they.
6:45
And
6:45
he
6:46
went
6:46
tumbling
6:47
down
6:47
through
6:47
the
6:48
rocks
6:48
and
6:49
just
6:50
got
6:50
really
6:51
bad.
6:51
Sliced
6:52
his
6:52
knee
6:53
just.
6:54
Oh,
6:54
it
6:55
was.
6:55
It
6:55
was
6:55
awful.
6:57
And
6:57
by
6:57
some
6:58
miracle,
6:59
I
6:59
was
6:59
able
7:00
to
7:00
find
7:00
him.
7:01
And
7:01
she
7:01
got
7:01
him
7:02
down
7:02
the
7:02
mountain
7:02
to
7:02
the
7:03
vet
7:03
clinic,
7:03
and
7:04
they
7:04
stitched
7:04
him
7:04
all
7:05
up,
7:05
and
7:05
he's
7:06
already
7:06
back
7:06
doing
7:07
50s,
7:07
and
7:08
he's
7:08
doing
7:08
terrific.
7:09
So
7:10
that
7:10
was
7:10
kind
7:10
of
7:11
a
7:11
cool
7:11
thing.
7:13
I
7:13
don't
7:14
know.
7:14
I
7:14
do.
7:17
I
7:17
just.
7:18
I'll
7:18
never
7:18
forget
7:19
watching
7:19
that.
7:20
It
7:20
was
7:20
like
7:20
the
7:20
man
7:21
from
7:21
Snowy
7:21
river.
7:22
But
7:23
not
7:23
the
7:23
same
7:24
outcome,
7:24
because
7:25
clearly.
7:26
Yeah,
7:26
different
7:27
outcome.
7:28
So
7:29
that
7:29
was
7:30
kind
7:30
of
7:31
cool.
7:31
We
7:31
finally
7:32
actually
7:32
did
7:32
get
7:32
to
7:33
finish
7:33
a
7:33
whole
7:33
50
7:34
together
7:35
instead
7:35
of
7:35
having
7:36
it
7:36
in
7:36
like
7:37
the
7:37
other
7:37
one
7:37
did.
7:38
And
7:38
then
7:38
the
7:38
week
7:39
after
7:39
Red
7:40
Rock,
7:40
I
7:41
went
7:41
to
7:41
a
7:41
new
7:42
ride
7:42
that
7:42
just
7:43
got
7:43
brought
7:43
back
7:44
by
7:44
two
7:44
new
7:45
ride
7:45
managers
7:46
took
7:46
on
7:46
the
7:47
Hat
7:47
Creek
7:47
Hustle
7:48
50,
7:48
and
7:49
they
7:49
did
7:49
a
7:50
really
7:50
terrific
7:51
ride.
7:51
This
7:52
one's
7:52
also
7:53
in
7:53
Northern
7:53
California.
7:54
It
7:55
was
7:55
nearly
7:55
all
7:56
single
7:56
track
7:56
trail.
7:57
Pretty
7:58
good
7:58
footing.
7:59
And
8:00
Jovi
8:00
was,
8:01
you
8:01
know,
8:01
by
8:01
this
8:01
time
8:02
now,
8:02
he's
8:02
been
8:02
doing
8:03
all
8:03
this
8:03
stuff.
8:04
He's
8:05
totally
8:06
just
8:06
reliable,
8:07
sensible.
8:08
All
8:08
of
8:09
these
8:09
rides
8:09
that
8:10
I've
8:10
been
8:10
talking
8:10
about,
8:11
every
8:11
single
8:12
one,
8:12
he
8:12
finished
8:13
with
8:13
all
8:13
A's.
8:14
His
8:14
finished
8:14
vet
8:15
check.
8:15
Wow.
8:15
How
8:16
old?
8:16
So
8:16
he's
8:16
learned.
8:17
He's
8:17
been
8:17
learning
8:18
to
8:18
take
8:18
care
8:18
of
8:19
himself
8:19
and
8:19
take
8:19
care
8:20
of
8:20
me.
8:21
Then
8:21
the
8:21
week
8:21
after
8:22
I
8:22
did.
8:22
How
8:22
old
8:22
is
8:22
Jovi?
8:24
He's
8:24
10.
8:25
10.
8:25
Okay.
8:26
Yeah.
8:27
And
8:27
so
8:27
the
8:27
week
8:27
after
8:27
I
8:28
did
8:28
Hat
8:28
Creek,
8:29
we
8:30
did
8:30
the
8:30
Nevada
8:30
Day
8:31
Parade.
8:31
Oh,
8:31
yeah.
8:31
You
8:32
do
8:32
that
8:32
every
8:32
year
8:33
we.
8:33
Yeah,
8:34
we've
8:34
been
8:34
doing
8:34
that
8:34
every
8:34
year.
8:35
This
8:35
was
8:35
his
8:36
fifth
8:36
parade,
8:37
I
8:37
believe,
8:37
and
8:38
he
8:38
finally
8:38
got
8:39
it.
8:39
Like
8:39
the
8:39
year
8:40
before,
8:41
he
8:41
was
8:42
dancing
8:42
around
8:43
in
8:43
the
8:43
state.
8:43
You
8:44
know
8:44
how
8:44
parades
8:45
are.
8:45
You're
8:45
in
8:45
staging,
8:46
waiting,
8:46
waiting,
8:47
waiting,
8:47
waiting.
8:48
My
8:48
gosh.
8:49
And
8:49
then
8:49
they've
8:50
got
8:50
the
8:50
jets
8:50
to
8:51
fly
8:51
over
8:51
and
8:52
the
8:52
big,
8:52
huge
8:53
military
8:53
helicopter,
8:54
and
8:54
it
8:55
flies
8:55
over
8:55
really
8:56
low
8:56
and
8:56
slow,
8:57
carrying
8:57
a
8:57
big
8:58
flag.
8:58
And
8:59
so
8:59
you've
8:59
got
8:59
all
9:00
these
9:00
things
9:00
going
9:00
on.
9:01
They
9:01
love.
9:02
They
9:02
love
9:02
drummers,
9:02
too.
9:03
Yeah.
9:03
Oh,
9:03
yeah,
9:04
yeah.
9:04
Also.
9:05
And
9:06
then
9:06
they
9:06
put
9:06
us
9:06
behind
9:08
the
9:08
entry
9:09
in
9:09
front
9:09
of
9:09
us
9:10
had
9:10
a
9:10
kid
9:11
in
9:11
the
9:11
back
9:11
of
9:11
a
9:11
pickup
9:12
truck
9:12
with
9:12
a
9:13
bubble
9:13
blowing
9:13
machine.
9:16
I
9:16
swear.
9:17
And
9:18
so
9:18
the
9:18
horse
9:19
I
9:19
was
9:19
paired
9:19
next
9:20
to,
9:21
he
9:21
didn't
9:21
like
9:21
the
9:22
bubbles.
9:22
And
9:22
so
9:23
I
9:23
ended
9:23
up
9:23
with
9:24
Jovi
9:24
in
9:24
the
9:24
very
9:25
front
9:25
of
9:25
the
9:25
whole
9:26
group.
9:26
Can
9:26
we
9:26
say,
9:27
can
9:27
we
9:27
have
9:28
somebody
9:28
on
9:28
the
9:28
committee
9:29
that
9:29
plans
9:29
these
9:30
parades
9:30
is
9:30
actually
9:30
a
9:30
horse
9:31
person,
9:31
please?
9:32
Exactly.
9:33
And
9:33
so
9:33
Jovi
9:34
thought
9:34
the
9:34
bubbles
9:35
were
9:35
fun.
9:35
He
9:35
was
9:36
trying
9:36
to
9:36
eat
9:36
them.
9:39
And
9:39
so
9:39
I'm
9:39
like,
9:40
okay,
9:41
so
9:41
all
9:41
this.
9:42
All
9:42
this
9:42
work,
9:42
all
9:43
these
9:43
things
9:43
I've
9:43
been
9:43
doing
9:44
with
9:44
this
9:44
horse,
9:45
it's
9:45
all
9:45
turned
9:46
out.
9:49
Oh,
9:49
my
9:50
God.
9:50
Parade
9:51
people,
9:51
they
9:51
really
9:52
need
9:52
to.
9:52
We
9:52
really
9:53
need
9:53
to
9:53
have
9:53
somebody
9:53
on
9:53
the
9:54
committee
9:54
that
9:54
knows
9:54
what
9:54
they're
9:55
doing.
9:55
Oh,
9:55
my
9:55
gosh.
9:56
I
9:56
was
9:56
like,
9:57
oh,
9:58
dear.
9:58
Really?
9:59
You
9:59
know,
10:00
and
10:00
that's
10:00
not
10:00
the
10:00
worst.
10:01
One
10:01
year,
10:01
we
10:01
were
10:02
like
10:02
two
10:03
entries
10:03
behind
10:04
the
10:05
musket
10:06
shooters
10:06
from
10:06
Virginia
10:07
City.
10:07
Oh,
10:07
there
10:07
you
10:08
go.
10:08
Yeah.
10:08
And
10:09
I'll
10:09
tell
10:09
you
10:09
what,
10:09
muskets
10:10
are
10:11
not
10:11
like
10:11
guns.
10:12
No.
10:12
They
10:12
sound
10:13
like
10:13
a
10:13
cannon
10:13
going
10:14
off.
10:14
They're
10:14
much
10:15
louder.
10:15
They're
10:15
deeper.
10:16
Yeah.
10:17
I
10:17
remember
10:18
I
10:18
was
10:18
almost
10:19
jumping
10:19
out
10:19
of
10:20
my
10:20
seat,
10:20
and
10:20
then.
10:21
Because
10:22
every
10:22
30
10:22
seconds
10:24
for
10:24
the
10:24
whole
10:24
parade,
10:25
for
10:26
miles,
10:26
boom,
10:27
boom,
10:27
boom.
10:27
You
10:28
know,
10:28
so
10:28
that
10:28
was
10:28
probably
10:29
one
10:29
of
10:29
the
10:29
worst.
10:30
And
10:30
then
10:30
one
10:31
parade,
10:31
they
10:32
tried
10:32
to
10:32
put
10:32
a
10:33
group
10:33
of
10:33
kids
10:34
that
10:34
were
10:35
kicking
10:35
soccer
10:36
balls
10:36
around.
10:37
Oh,
10:37
yeah,
10:37
that
10:37
was
10:37
fun,
10:38
too.
10:38
And
10:39
so
10:39
we
10:39
literally
10:40
did
10:40
go
10:41
and
10:41
say,
10:41
hey,
10:42
you
10:42
are
10:43
going
10:43
to
10:43
have
10:44
to
10:44
move
10:44
them.
10:45
You
10:45
cannot
10:46
have
10:46
little
10:47
kids
10:47
kicking
10:48
soccer
10:48
balls.
10:49
Find
10:49
a
10:49
group
10:49
of.
10:49
Yeah.
10:50
Do
10:50
you
10:50
want.
10:50
Do
10:50
you
10:50
want
10:51
people
10:51
trampled
10:51
to
10:52
death
10:52
or
10:52
not?
10:54
So
10:54
you.
10:54
You
10:55
are
10:55
absolutely
10:56
correct
10:56
with
10:56
some
10:57
of
10:57
these
10:57
people
10:58
planning
10:58
this
10:58
stuff,
10:59
they
10:59
really
10:59
need
10:59
to
11:00
look.
11:00
Look
11:00
at
11:01
things.
11:02
And,
11:02
you
11:02
know,
11:03
the
11:03
one
11:03
last
11:04
parade
11:04
I
11:04
was
11:04
in
11:04
was
11:05
with
11:05
Dr.
11:05
Wendy.
11:06
I
11:06
was
11:06
in.
11:06
At
11:07
the
11:07
horse
11:07
parade
11:08
in
11:08
Georgetown,
11:09
Kentucky,
11:09
right
11:09
near
11:09
Lexington.
11:10
And
11:11
when
11:11
we
11:11
lived
11:11
there,
11:12
it
11:12
was
11:12
10
11:12
years
11:13
more
11:13
than
11:13
that
11:13
ago.
11:14
And
11:14
she's
11:14
like,
11:14
let's
11:15
drive.
11:15
And
11:15
she
11:15
wanted
11:15
to
11:15
bring
11:16
her
11:16
horses
11:16
and
11:17
we
11:17
had
11:17
a
11:17
three,
11:18
if
11:18
I
11:18
remember
11:18
right.
11:18
We
11:18
had
11:19
a
11:19
unicorn
11:19
hitch,
11:19
two
11:20
and
11:20
then
11:20
one
11:21
in
11:21
the
11:21
front.
11:22
And
11:22
they
11:23
were
11:23
having
11:23
no
11:23
parts
11:24
of
11:24
this
11:24
parade.
11:25
I
11:25
mean,
11:25
no
11:26
parts
11:26
of
11:26
it.
11:26
It
11:26
was.
11:27
Got
11:27
so
11:27
bad
11:27
that
11:28
we
11:28
had
11:28
to.
11:28
We
11:28
had
11:29
to
11:29
clear
11:29
a
11:29
group
11:29
on
11:30
a
11:30
side
11:30
street.
11:31
We
11:31
had
11:31
to
11:31
tell
11:32
everybody
11:32
to
11:32
move.
11:33
And
11:33
we
11:34
headed
11:34
down
11:34
the
11:34
side
11:35
street
11:35
and
11:35
bailed
11:35
out
11:35
because
11:36
it
11:36
was
11:36
not
11:36
going
11:37
well.
11:39
I
11:39
was
11:39
so
11:39
glad
11:39
we
11:40
had
11:40
a
11:40
banner
11:40
up,
11:41
a
11:41
horse
11:41
radio
11:41
network
11:42
banner
11:42
on
11:42
the
11:42
carriage
11:43
at
11:43
that
11:43
time.
11:43
And
11:43
I
11:43
think
11:43
Jennifer
11:44
quietly
11:44
just
11:45
pulled
11:45
it
11:45
in.
11:47
You
11:48
don't
11:48
know
11:48
us.
11:48
We
11:49
weren't
11:49
ever
11:49
here.
11:50
Yeah,
11:50
we're
11:50
just
11:50
here.
11:51
We're
11:51
not
11:51
part
11:51
of
11:52
any.
11:54
That's
11:55
the
11:55
last
11:55
time
11:55
I
11:55
was
11:55
in
11:55
parade.
11:57
Did
11:57
not
11:57
end
11:58
well.
11:58
I
11:58
mean,
11:58
we
11:58
didn't
11:59
kill
11:59
anybody.
12:00
So
12:00
there
12:00
was
12:00
that.
12:01
Good.
12:02
Yeah,
12:02
yeah.
12:03
That's
12:03
always
12:03
a
12:03
good
12:04
outcome.
12:06
All
12:06
right,
12:06
let's
12:07
head
12:07
to
12:07
your
12:07
endurance
12:08
tip.
12:08
We're
12:08
talking
12:08
about
12:09
negative
12:09
splits,
12:10
which
12:10
is
12:10
riding
12:11
the
12:11
first
12:11
half
12:11
of
12:11
endurance
12:12
ride
12:12
slower
12:12
than
12:12
the
12:13
second.
12:13
Is
12:13
that
12:14
unusual
12:14
or
12:15
which
12:15
wouldn't
12:16
with
12:16
the
12:16
normal
12:17
person,
12:17
which
12:17
is
12:17
faster?
12:18
Well,
12:19
you
12:19
know,
12:19
it
12:19
just
12:20
depends.
12:20
It's
12:20
a
12:20
strategy
12:21
you
12:21
have
12:21
to
12:21
think
12:22
of
12:22
ahead
12:23
of
12:23
time
12:23
and
12:23
plan
12:25
because
12:26
what
12:26
ideally
12:27
you
12:27
do
12:27
want
12:28
to
12:28
finish
12:28
the
12:28
second
12:29
half
12:29
of
12:29
the
12:29
ride
12:30
strong
12:30
on
12:31
your
12:31
horse.
12:32
So
12:32
it
12:32
does
12:33
take
12:33
planning
12:34
the
12:34
strategy
12:35
out.
12:36
The
12:36
benefit
12:37
of
12:37
doing
12:38
negative
12:38
splits
12:39
is
12:39
that
12:40
when
12:40
you
12:40
start
12:41
out,
12:42
your
12:42
horse
12:43
has
12:43
a
12:43
slower
12:44
start.
12:44
So
12:45
it
12:45
allows
12:45
your
12:45
horse
12:46
to
12:46
warm
12:46
up.
12:47
It
12:48
helps
12:48
you
12:49
find
12:49
out
12:49
if
12:50
you
12:50
know
12:50
if
12:50
there's
12:51
anything
12:51
going
12:51
on
12:52
that
12:52
could
12:52
be
12:52
wrong
12:54
early
12:54
on.
12:55
It
12:55
helps
12:56
conserve
12:56
energy
12:57
so
12:57
your
12:57
horse,
12:58
you're
12:58
not
12:58
allowing
12:59
your
12:59
horse
12:59
to
13:00
get
13:00
hot
13:01
and
13:02
mentally
13:03
sometimes,
13:04
like
13:04
I
13:04
have
13:04
found
13:05
with
13:05
my
13:05
own
13:05
horses,
13:07
sometimes
13:07
it's
13:07
the
13:08
mental
13:08
aspect
13:09
of
13:09
managing
13:10
them
13:11
that
13:11
is
13:12
the
13:12
heart.
13:13
The
13:13
more
13:13
challenge
13:15
in
13:15
doing
13:16
an
13:16
endurance
13:16
ride
13:17
versus
13:18
controlling
13:18
them
13:19
physically
13:20
with
13:21
how
13:21
fast
13:21
they're
13:22
going.
13:22
So
13:22
it's.
13:23
It's
13:23
kind
13:23
of
13:24
meeting
13:24
the
13:24
two
13:25
parts
13:26
in
13:26
the
13:26
middle.
13:27
Keeping
13:27
your
13:28
horse
13:29
so
13:29
that
13:29
they're
13:30
warming
13:30
up
13:30
slowly,
13:32
you're
13:32
conserving
13:33
the
13:33
energy.
13:35
You're
13:35
reducing
13:36
the
13:36
risk
13:36
of
13:37
having
13:37
a
13:38
metabolic
13:38
problem
13:39
because
13:39
usually
13:39
if
13:39
a
13:39
horse
13:40
is
13:40
going
13:40
to
13:40
tie
13:40
up,
13:40
they're
13:41
going
13:41
to
13:41
do
13:41
it
13:42
early
13:42
in
13:42
the
13:42
race.
13:44
So
13:46
by
13:46
learning
13:46
how
13:46
to
13:47
pace
13:47
your
13:47
horse,
13:48
keeping
13:48
them
13:48
slowed
13:48
down,
13:49
you
13:49
start
13:49
out
13:49
slow
13:50
and
13:50
gradually
13:50
increase
13:51
speed
13:52
and
13:52
you
13:52
do
13:52
that
13:53
through
13:53
the
13:53
ride.
13:54
You
13:54
can
13:54
use
13:55
GPS's
13:56
heart
13:57
rate
13:57
monitors,
13:58
so
13:58
you
13:58
kind
13:58
of
13:58
have
13:58
an
13:59
idea
13:59
of
14:00
where
14:00
your
14:00
horse
14:01
is.
14:02
You
14:02
know,
14:02
then
14:02
once
14:03
you
14:03
get
14:03
halfway
14:03
through
14:04
the
14:04
ride,
14:04
everything's
14:05
going
14:05
well,
14:06
you
14:07
know,
14:07
because
14:07
you've
14:08
taken
14:08
it
14:08
easy.
14:09
You
14:09
haven't
14:09
over
14:10
stressed
14:10
him
14:12
or
14:12
her
14:13
and
14:13
they're
14:14
eating
14:14
and
14:14
drinking
14:14
and
14:15
taking
14:15
good
14:15
care
14:15
of
14:15
themselves.
14:16
Then
14:16
in
14:17
this
14:17
second
14:17
half
14:17
of
14:17
the
14:18
ride,
14:18
now
14:18
you
14:19
can
14:19
speed
14:19
up
14:20
a
14:20
little
14:20
bit,
14:20
let
14:20
the
14:21
horse
14:21
go
14:21
a
14:21
little
14:22
bit
14:22
more.
14:22
And
14:23
now
14:23
you
14:23
know
14:23
what
14:24
happens.
14:24
You
14:25
start
14:25
passing
14:26
up
14:26
the
14:26
riders
14:27
later
14:28
in
14:28
the
14:28
ride
14:28
because
14:28
their
14:29
horses
14:29
are
14:29
fading
14:29
out,
14:31
because
14:31
they
14:33
took
14:33
off
14:34
and
14:36
now
14:36
they're
14:36
tired
14:37
and
14:37
they're
14:37
wearing
14:38
out
14:38
and
14:38
they're
14:38
slowing
14:39
down.
14:39
But
14:39
guess
14:40
what?
14:41
Because
14:41
you
14:41
were
14:41
just
14:42
steady
14:42
and
14:42
consistent
14:44
and
14:45
took
14:45
it
14:46
easy
14:46
for
14:47
the
14:47
first
14:47
half,
14:48
now
14:48
you've
14:49
got
14:49
a
14:49
strong
14:49
horse
14:50
and
14:50
you
14:51
can
14:51
let
14:52
them
14:52
move
14:52
out
14:52
a
14:52
little
14:53
bit
14:53
more
14:53
and
14:53
now
14:53
you're
14:54
going
14:55
to
14:55
be
14:55
able
14:55
to
14:55
go
14:56
in
14:56
for
14:56
a
14:56
strong
14:56
finish.
14:57
Now
14:57
this
14:57
is
14:58
something
14:58
that
14:58
is
14:58
going
14:58
to
14:59
take
14:59
some
14:59
time,
15:00
especially
15:01
if
15:01
your
15:01
horse
15:02
is
15:02
kind
15:02
of
15:02
new
15:02
to
15:03
the
15:03
sport.
15:04
And
15:04
there
15:04
are
15:04
times
15:05
of
15:05
course
15:05
where
15:06
it's
15:07
going
15:07
to
15:07
end
15:07
up
15:07
being
15:08
like
15:08
a
15:08
really
15:08
hot
15:09
day
15:09
or
15:09
something
15:10
with
15:10
humidity
15:11
and
15:12
you're
15:12
going
15:12
to
15:12
need
15:12
to
15:13
slow
15:13
down
15:14
to
15:14
accommodate
15:15
for
15:15
that
15:15
because
15:16
you're
15:16
climbing
15:16
a
15:17
big
15:17
mountain
15:17
or
15:17
something.
15:18
But
15:19
lots
15:19
of
15:20
times,
15:20
if
15:20
you
15:20
plan
15:21
the
15:21
strategy
15:21
out,
15:22
take
15:22
your
15:22
time
15:22
in
15:22
the
15:23
first
15:23
half
15:24
then.
15:24
And
15:25
this
15:25
is
15:25
how
15:25
I've
15:25
always
15:26
kind
15:26
of
15:26
ridden
15:27
multi
15:27
day
15:27
rides
15:28
I
15:29
like
15:29
to
15:29
ride.
15:29
The
15:30
first
15:30
half
15:30
of
15:31
the
15:31
first
15:31
day
15:32
especially
15:32
is
15:33
going
15:33
to
15:33
be
15:34
my
15:34
slowest
15:35
time.
15:36
And
15:36
then
15:36
as
15:37
the
15:37
horse,
15:38
as
15:38
we
15:38
continue
15:39
and
15:39
the
15:39
horse
15:40
is
15:40
taking
15:40
care
15:41
of
15:41
themselves,
15:42
then
15:42
you
15:43
start
15:43
to
15:44
increase
15:45
your
15:45
speed
15:45
or
15:46
just
15:46
bump
15:47
up
15:47
your
15:48
average
15:48
moving
15:49
time
15:50
throughout
15:50
the
15:50
rest
15:50
of
15:50
the
15:51
event.
15:51
And
15:52
that
15:52
has
15:53
always
15:53
worked
15:53
really,
15:54
really
15:54
well
15:54
for
15:54
me.
15:55
So
15:55
which
15:56
do
15:56
you
15:56
end
15:56
up
15:57
doing
15:57
most
15:57
of
15:57
the
15:57
time?
15:59
You
16:00
know,
16:00
it
16:00
just
16:01
depends.
16:01
Starting
16:02
a
16:02
new
16:02
horse,
16:03
I'm
16:03
always
16:04
just
16:04
happy
16:04
to
16:04
live
16:05
through
16:05
the
16:05
right
16:06
start
16:08
and
16:09
just
16:09
to
16:09
get
16:09
through.
16:11
I
16:11
try
16:11
to
16:12
be
16:12
pretty
16:13
steady
16:13
and
16:14
consistent,
16:15
but
16:16
also
16:17
I
16:17
think
16:17
by
16:18
trying
16:18
to
16:18
employ
16:19
at
16:19
least
16:20
some
16:20
form
16:20
of
16:21
doing
16:21
negative
16:21
splits,
16:22
I
16:23
like
16:23
to
16:24
know
16:24
that
16:25
at
16:25
the
16:25
end
16:25
of
16:25
the
16:26
day
16:26
in
16:26
the
16:26
last
16:27
10
16:27
or
16:27
15
16:28
miles
16:28
that
16:28
I
16:28
have
16:28
horse
16:29
left
16:30
and
16:30
I
16:30
think
16:32
that's
16:32
been
16:32
paying
16:32
off
16:33
for
16:33
me
16:33
and
16:33
Jovi.
16:34
That's
16:34
why
16:34
he's
16:34
been
16:34
finishing
16:36
his
16:36
last
16:36
rides,
16:38
doing
16:39
so
16:39
well.
16:40
And
16:41
it's
16:42
kind
16:42
of
16:42
brought
16:42
him
16:43
along
16:43
because
16:44
a
16:44
year
16:44
ago
16:45
was
16:46
when
16:46
he
16:46
did
16:46
his
16:46
first
16:47
50
16:47
was
16:48
last
16:49
October
16:49
a
16:50
year
16:50
ago
16:51
and
16:51
he
16:52
had
16:52
not
16:52
yet
16:53
really
16:54
learned
16:54
how
16:55
to
16:55
take
16:55
care
16:55
of
16:56
himself.
16:58
They
16:58
don't
16:58
really
16:58
know
16:58
how
16:58
far
16:59
they're
16:59
going.
16:59
So
17:00
I
17:00
mean.
17:00
Right,
17:01
right.
17:01
And,
17:02
and
17:02
so,
17:03
so
17:03
he's
17:04
learned.
17:04
But
17:05
I
17:05
think
17:05
by
17:06
taking
17:06
it
17:06
easier
17:07
in
17:07
the
17:07
first
17:08
half
17:09
then
17:10
letting
17:10
him
17:11
move
17:11
out
17:11
a
17:11
little
17:12
bit
17:12
more
17:12
with
17:12
a
17:12
little
17:13
less
17:13
Restraint.
17:14
He
17:14
kind
17:15
of,
17:15
you
17:15
know,
17:15
finally
17:16
the
17:16
light
17:16
bulb
17:16
came
17:16
on.
17:17
He
17:17
realized,
17:17
you
17:18
know,
17:18
he's
17:18
an
17:18
endurance
17:19
horse.
17:19
Oh,
17:20
my
17:20
God.
17:20
And
17:21
so
17:21
now
17:21
he's
17:22
just.
17:22
He's
17:23
loving
17:23
it.
17:23
And
17:24
so
17:25
does
17:25
it
17:25
mess
17:25
with
17:25
him.
17:25
When
17:26
you
17:26
then
17:26
do
17:26
75
17:27
and
17:27
100?
17:28
Well,
17:29
I'll
17:29
let
17:29
you
17:29
know.
17:30
We'll
17:30
see.
17:31
See,
17:31
right
17:31
now,
17:32
I'm
17:32
the
17:32
weak
17:32
link,
17:33
so
17:33
I'm
17:33
kind
17:33
of.
17:33
I'm
17:34
still
17:34
working
17:34
on
17:35
my.
17:35
I
17:35
have
17:36
some
17:36
nerve
17:37
pain
17:38
in
17:38
one
17:38
of
17:38
my
17:39
feet.
17:39
And
17:40
so
17:40
he's
17:41
finishing
17:41
sound.
17:42
I'm
17:42
not
17:42
always
17:43
finishing
17:43
sound.
17:44
He's
17:44
an
17:44
A.
17:44
You're
17:45
a
17:45
C.
17:45
Yeah,
17:47
exactly.
17:48
So
17:48
we're
17:48
working.
17:49
We're
17:49
working
17:49
on
17:50
that.
17:51
Yeah,
17:51
we
17:52
are.
17:52
So.
17:52
All
17:53
right,
17:53
well,
17:53
thank
17:53
you
17:53
for
17:53
that.
17:54
Next
17:54
up
17:54
was
17:55
Kristen
17:55
with
17:55
Distance
17:56
Depot.
17:57
Well,
17:57
next
17:57
up,
17:57
we
17:57
have
17:58
Kristen,
17:58
as
17:58
I
17:58
said,
17:59
from
17:59
Distance
17:59
Depot,
18:00
comes
18:00
on
18:00
with
18:00
us
18:00
every
18:00
month.
18:01
The
18:01
Distance
18:01
Depot
18:02
rather
18:02
comes
18:03
on
18:03
with
18:03
us
18:03
every
18:04
month
18:04
and
18:04
chats
18:05
about
18:05
products
18:05
that
18:06
she
18:06
has
18:06
available.
18:06
And
18:07
today
18:07
she's
18:07
talking
18:07
about
18:07
Carrots.
18:08
Kristen.
18:09
When
18:09
we
18:09
hit.
18:09
When
18:09
Jennifer
18:10
and
18:10
I
18:10
had
18:10
our
18:10
tech
18:10
shop,
18:11
Chris,
18:11
our
18:11
carrots
18:11
had
18:12
just
18:12
started
18:12
it.
18:13
And
18:13
I
18:14
remember
18:14
they
18:14
were
18:14
the
18:15
first
18:15
ones
18:15
really,
18:15
to
18:15
come
18:16
out
18:16
with
18:16
riding
18:16
tights.
18:17
Right.
18:18
Because
18:18
they
18:19
were
18:19
jeans
18:19
and
18:19
breeches,
18:20
but
18:20
there
18:20
weren't
18:21
tights.
18:21
And
18:22
yoga
18:23
pants
18:23
had
18:23
started
18:24
to
18:24
become
18:24
a
18:24
thing.
18:25
And,
18:25
you
18:25
know,
18:26
she
18:26
came
18:26
from.
18:27
She
18:27
came
18:27
from
18:28
different
18:28
sports,
18:28
actually,
18:29
the
18:30
lady
18:30
who
18:30
started
18:30
Carrots,
18:31
and
18:31
I
18:31
remember
18:32
carrying
18:32
those,
18:32
and
18:32
then
18:33
they
18:33
had,
18:33
like,
18:33
black
18:33
in
18:33
the
18:34
first
18:34
year.
18:34
Do
18:34
you
18:34
remember
18:34
that?
18:35
And
18:35
then.
18:35
Yes.
18:35
Yeah.
18:36
They
18:36
put
18:36
a
18:36
pocket
18:37
in
18:37
it,
18:37
which
18:37
was
18:37
unheard
18:38
of.
18:38
Yeah.
18:39
And
18:39
they
18:39
still
18:40
do
18:40
that,
18:40
thankfully,
18:40
through
18:41
our
18:41
phones.
18:41
Yeah.
18:42
And
18:42
it
18:42
was.
18:42
But
18:42
cell
18:43
phones
18:43
weren't
18:43
even
18:43
a
18:43
thing
18:43
when
18:44
they
18:44
were
18:44
starting.
18:44
A
18:45
pocket
18:45
in
18:45
it.
18:46
And
18:46
then
18:46
they
18:47
came
18:47
out
18:47
with
18:47
colors,
18:48
and
18:48
that's
18:48
when
18:48
it
18:49
took
18:49
off.
18:49
Yeah.
18:50
Because
18:50
I
18:50
remember
18:51
my
18:51
first
18:51
pair.
18:52
Excuse
18:52
me.
18:52
My
18:53
first
18:53
pair
18:53
from,
18:54
I
18:54
don't
18:54
know,
18:54
100
18:54
years
18:55
ago.
18:55
And
18:55
they
18:55
were
18:56
my
18:56
favorite
18:56
pair.
18:56
And
18:57
they
18:57
had
18:57
houndstooth
18:58
on
18:58
them
18:58
and
18:59
then
18:59
black
18:59
detailing.
19:00
They're
19:00
really
19:00
sharp.
19:01
I
19:01
thought
19:01
I
19:01
was
19:01
so
19:02
snazzy.
19:02
Yeah,
19:03
well,
19:03
and
19:03
you
19:03
were.
19:03
I
19:03
mean,
19:04
because
19:04
nobody
19:04
else
19:04
had
19:05
anything
19:05
like
19:05
that
19:05
back
19:06
then.
19:06
That's
19:06
right.
19:07
It
19:07
was
19:07
really
19:07
just,
19:08
you
19:08
know,
19:08
you
19:08
had
19:08
a
19:08
couple
19:09
colors
19:09
of
19:09
breeches,
19:10
but
19:10
that
19:10
was
19:10
it.
19:11
Or
19:11
jeans.
19:12
You
19:12
know,
19:12
it
19:12
was.
19:13
So
19:13
what
19:14
do
19:14
you.
19:14
What
19:14
are
19:14
now
19:15
they
19:15
own
19:15
the
19:15
clothing
19:16
world
19:16
pretty
19:16
much.
19:17
They
19:17
do.
19:18
Yeah.
19:18
And
19:18
she.
19:18
And
19:19
I
19:19
think
19:19
she
19:19
came
19:20
from.
19:21
I
19:21
know
19:22
at
19:22
one
19:22
point,
19:23
anyway,
19:23
she
19:23
had
19:24
developed
19:24
bathing
19:24
suits.
19:25
Yes.
19:25
And
19:26
then
19:26
we
19:26
were
19:27
talking
19:27
and
19:27
you
19:28
said
19:28
she
19:28
was
19:28
a
19:29
rider.
19:29
She
19:29
was
19:29
a
19:30
skier,
19:30
too.
19:30
A
19:31
snow
19:31
skier.
19:31
Yeah,
19:32
yeah.
19:32
Yeah,
19:33
that's
19:33
why
19:33
I
19:33
think
19:33
she
19:34
has
19:34
all
19:34
these
19:34
great
19:35
fabrics
19:35
and,
19:36
and
19:36
her
19:37
fashions
19:38
all
19:38
relate
19:38
around
19:39
riding.
19:39
I
19:39
mean,
19:40
everything
19:40
is,
19:41
you
19:41
know,
19:41
flex
19:42
and
19:42
bendable
19:42
and
19:42
comfortable
19:43
to
19:43
ride
19:43
in.
19:44
I
19:44
think
19:44
that's
19:44
so
19:45
important
19:45
with
19:45
this
19:45
line.
19:46
Now.
19:47
I
19:47
saw
19:47
at
19:47
the
19:48
last
19:48
trade
19:48
show
19:48
they
19:49
have
19:49
some
19:49
new
19:49
products
19:49
coming
19:50
out.
19:50
Do
19:50
you
19:50
have
19:50
some
19:50
of
19:50
those?
19:51
We
19:51
sure
19:52
do.
19:52
And
19:53
they
19:53
can
19:53
be
19:53
found
19:53
on
19:53
our
19:54
new
19:54
page
19:54
for
19:55
a
19:55
little
19:55
while.
19:55
They'll
19:55
stay
19:56
there
19:56
otherwise
19:57
you'll
19:57
find
19:57
them,
19:58
you
19:58
know,
19:58
under
19:58
for
19:58
the
19:59
rider
19:59
and
19:59
outerwear.
20:00
And
20:01
we
20:01
have
20:01
a
20:01
page
20:02
for
20:02
gloves
20:02
and
20:02
so
20:03
on.
20:03
Because
20:03
of
20:03
course
20:03
they
20:04
have
20:04
a
20:04
winter
20:05
riding
20:05
glove.
20:05
They
20:06
have
20:06
neck
20:06
warmers,
20:07
ear
20:07
warmers
20:08
that
20:08
fit
20:08
under
20:08
your
20:08
helmet,
20:09
which
20:09
are
20:09
super
20:09
nice.
20:10
I'm
20:10
sorry,
20:10
headbands
20:11
that
20:11
fit
20:11
under
20:11
your
20:12
helmet.
20:12
I
20:13
like
20:13
them
20:13
just
20:13
to
20:13
keep
20:13
your
20:13
ears
20:14
warm,
20:15
all
20:15
kinds
20:15
of
20:15
fun
20:16
things
20:16
like
20:16
that.
20:16
And
20:17
then
20:17
of
20:17
course,
20:17
the
20:17
tights.
20:18
Probably
20:19
the
20:19
warmest
20:20
one
20:20
that
20:20
we
20:21
stock
20:21
is
20:21
the
20:21
Windpro.
20:22
It
20:22
sheds
20:23
hair,
20:24
rain,
20:25
mud,
20:25
and
20:26
it's
20:26
fleece
20:26
lined.
20:27
Honest
20:27
to
20:27
goodness,
20:27
they
20:28
feel
20:28
like
20:28
jammies.
20:29
They're
20:29
just
20:30
luxurious.
20:31
I
20:32
wish
20:32
these
20:32
were.
20:33
I'm
20:33
not
20:33
sure
20:33
they
20:33
had
20:33
these
20:34
when
20:34
I
20:34
was
20:34
competing
20:35
way
20:35
back
20:36
when,
20:36
but.
20:36
But
20:36
these
20:37
are
20:37
pretty
20:37
top
20:37
of
20:38
the
20:38
line,
20:38
warm
20:39
winter
20:40
fleecy
20:40
tights.
20:41
I
20:41
love
20:41
these.
20:42
And
20:42
we
20:42
have
20:42
it
20:43
in
20:43
a
20:43
boot
20:43
cut
20:43
and
20:44
in
20:44
the
20:44
regular
20:44
tight.
20:45
And
20:45
then
20:45
of
20:46
course
20:46
from
20:46
there,
20:47
yeah,
20:47
they
20:47
go
20:47
down
20:48
to
20:48
a
20:48
lighter
20:48
weight.
20:49
And
20:49
that's
20:49
kind
20:50
of
20:50
a
20:50
three
20:50
season
20:50
breech
20:51
because
20:51
you
20:51
can
20:51
wear
20:51
it
20:51
in
20:51
the
20:52
fall,
20:52
in
20:52
the
20:53
spring
20:53
and
20:53
in
20:53
the
20:53
winter,
20:54
depending
20:54
on
20:54
where
20:54
you
20:55
live.
20:56
And
20:56
then
20:56
they
20:56
have
20:56
the
20:57
fleece
20:58
light
20:59
tight,
20:59
which
20:59
is
21:00
super
21:00
light,
21:00
still
21:01
will
21:01
shed
21:01
a
21:01
little
21:02
bit
21:02
of
21:03
the
21:03
winter
21:05
cold
21:05
air.
21:06
But
21:06
they
21:06
come
21:06
in
21:07
a
21:07
nice
21:07
herringbone
21:08
pattern
21:09
which
21:09
is
21:09
super
21:09
stylish
21:10
in
21:10
gray
21:11
and
21:11
black
21:11
is
21:11
what
21:11
we
21:12
have.
21:12
And
21:13
then
21:13
their
21:14
other
21:14
tight
21:15
is
21:15
a
21:15
thermotech
21:16
type,
21:17
which
21:17
I
21:17
really
21:17
like.
21:18
It
21:18
has
21:18
carrot
21:19
sticks
21:19
along
21:19
the
21:20
inside
21:20
of
21:20
the
21:20
leg
21:20
for
21:20
a
21:21
nice
21:21
grip.
21:22
So
21:22
that,
21:22
you
21:22
know.
21:23
And
21:23
the
21:23
other
21:24
two
21:24
that
21:24
I
21:24
mentioned
21:24
have
21:25
knee
21:25
patches.
21:26
But
21:26
the
21:26
carrot
21:26
sticks
21:27
are
21:27
nice
21:27
because
21:27
they're
21:28
just
21:28
sort
21:28
of
21:28
built
21:28
into
21:29
the
21:29
fabric.
21:29
That's.
21:30
I
21:30
think
21:30
that's
21:30
kind
21:30
of
21:30
a
21:31
cool
21:31
thing
21:31
that
21:31
they
21:31
do.
21:32
And
21:32
it
21:32
does
21:33
help
21:33
you
21:33
grip
21:33
so
21:33
you're
21:34
not
21:34
sliding
21:34
around
21:35
up
21:35
there.
21:37
And
21:37
then
21:37
we
21:37
have
21:38
a
21:38
new
21:38
denim
21:39
stretch
21:40
boot
21:40
cut
21:40
type
21:41
which
21:41
has
21:41
all
21:41
the
21:42
classic
21:42
true
21:43
jean
21:43
detailing,
21:44
of
21:44
course,
21:44
without
21:45
the
21:45
jean
21:46
rubbing
21:47
that
21:47
you
21:47
get
21:47
when
21:48
you
21:48
wear
21:48
jeans.
21:49
They
21:49
have
21:49
a
21:50
super
21:50
grip
21:51
soft
21:51
extended
21:52
knee
21:52
patch
21:52
which
21:53
gives
21:53
you
21:53
like
21:53
a
21:53
leather
21:54
like
21:54
grip.
21:55
And
21:55
it's
21:56
gray,
21:56
so
21:56
it's
21:57
flattering.
21:57
It's
21:58
a
21:58
really
21:58
nice
21:59
looking
21:59
type.
21:59
And
22:00
it
22:00
has
22:00
a
22:00
fitted
22:00
calf
22:01
so
22:01
that
22:01
the
22:01
pant
22:02
won't
22:02
slide
22:02
up.
22:03
So
22:03
some
22:04
really
22:04
nice
22:04
choices
22:05
there
22:05
along
22:05
with
22:05
wool
22:06
socks,
22:07
fleecy
22:08
tops,
22:09
merino
22:09
wool
22:10
top.
22:10
And
22:10
again,
22:11
these
22:11
are
22:11
all
22:12
designed
22:12
for
22:12
riders
22:13
with
22:13
flexibility
22:14
venting
22:16
fabrics
22:16
that
22:16
keep
22:17
you
22:17
cool,
22:18
you
22:18
know,
22:18
so
22:18
if
22:18
you
22:18
do
22:18
get
22:19
sweaty,
22:19
it
22:20
wicks
22:21
the
22:21
moisture
22:21
away
22:21
from
22:21
your
22:22
skin.
22:22
So
22:23
lots
22:23
of
22:23
nice
22:24
options
22:24
here.
22:25
And
22:25
where
22:25
do
22:25
they
22:25
find
22:25
it
22:26
on
22:26
the
22:26
website?
22:27
They
22:27
can
22:27
go
22:27
to
22:27
the
22:28
new
22:28
page
22:28
right
22:28
now.
22:28
Everything's
22:29
listed
22:29
there
22:30
for
22:30
the
22:30
winter
22:30
and
22:31
fall
22:31
lines.
22:32
Lots
22:32
of
22:33
nice
22:33
choices.
22:33
And
22:34
we're
22:34
just
22:34
at
22:35
thedistancedepot.
22:36
Com.
22:37
I
22:37
do
22:37
want
22:38
to
22:38
mention
22:38
too,
22:38
seeing
22:38
we're
22:39
coming
22:39
up
22:39
to
22:39
the
22:39
holidays,
22:40
that
22:40
you
22:40
guys
22:41
are
22:41
the
22:41
ones
22:41
that
22:41
do
22:42
our
22:42
embroidery
22:43
for
22:43
our
22:44
logos
22:44
for
22:44
the
22:44
Horses
22:45
in
22:45
the
22:45
Morning
22:45
in
22:45
the
22:45
Horse
22:45
Radio
22:46
Network
22:46
logo.
22:47
We
22:47
actually
22:47
have
22:47
the
22:47
new
22:47
Horse
22:48
Radio
22:48
Network
22:49
up
22:49
there
22:49
now.
22:49
Yeah.
22:50
So
22:50
we're
22:50
excited
22:51
to
22:51
start.
22:51
Yeah.
22:52
To
22:52
start
22:52
embroidering
22:52
that.
22:53
And
22:53
it's
22:53
really
22:54
nice.
22:54
And
22:54
what
22:54
you
22:54
have
22:55
shirts
22:55
and
22:55
jackets
22:56
and
22:56
all
22:56
kinds
22:56
of
22:56
things.
22:57
Shirts
22:57
and
22:57
gear
22:58
bags.
22:58
Yeah,
22:59
all
22:59
kinds
23:00
of
23:00
things.
23:00
Hats.
23:00
So
23:01
you
23:01
can
23:01
put
23:01
the
23:01
logo
23:02
on,
23:02
on
23:02
a
23:02
ball
23:02
cap,
23:03
on
23:03
a
23:03
shirt,
23:03
on
23:03
a
23:04
jacket,
23:04
vest.
23:05
We've
23:05
got
23:05
lots
23:06
of.
23:06
Just
23:06
visit
23:07
the
23:07
embroidery
23:08
page
23:08
under
23:08
for
23:08
the
23:08
rider
23:09
and
23:09
you'll
23:10
see
23:10
it
23:10
there.
23:10
The
23:10
Horse
23:11

23:11

23:11

23:12
in
23:12
the
23:12
Morning
23:12
embroidery
23:13
page.
23:13
Thank
23:14
you
23:14
very
23:14
much.
23:14
I
23:14
appreciate.
23:15
I
23:15
have
23:15
to
23:15
get
23:15
a
23:15
new.
23:15
Some
23:16
new
23:16
hats.
23:16
I,
23:16
I
23:17
don't.
23:17
And
23:17
your
23:17
hats
23:18
are
23:18
the
23:18
nicest
23:18
ones
23:18
I
23:19
ever
23:19
bought.
23:19
Where
23:20
your
23:20
hats,
23:20
they
23:20
fit
23:21
well
23:21
and.
23:21
Oh,
23:21
that's
23:22
awesome.
23:22
You
23:22
know,
23:22
there's
23:22
a
23:22
difference
23:23
in
23:23
baseball
23:23
hats,
23:24
you
23:24
know.
23:24
Yes,
23:24
there
23:24
are.
23:25
There's
23:25
some
23:25
good
23:25
ones
23:26
and
23:26
then
23:26
there's
23:26
some
23:26
crappy
23:27
ones.
23:27
My
23:27
husband's
23:28
a
23:28
picky
23:28
ball
23:29
cap
23:29
wearer,
23:29
so
23:29
I
23:30
go
23:30
off
23:30
of.
23:30
Yeah,
23:31
well,
23:32
thank
23:32
you.
23:32
It's
23:32
the
23:32
distance
23:33
depot
23:33
dot
23:33
com.
23:34
Thanks,
23:34
Kristen.
23:34
We'll
23:34
talk
23:35
to
23:35
you
23:35
next
23:35
month.
23:35
Thank
23:35
you.
23:36
Thanks,
23:36
Kristen.
23:37
Bye.
23:37
Bye.
23:38
Our
23:38
first
23:38
guest
23:39
this
23:39
morning
23:39
is
23:39
Ashley
23:40
Wingert
23:41
from
23:41
Arizona.
23:42
Ashley
23:42
recently
23:43
went
23:43
to
23:43
Australia
23:44
and
23:44
rode
23:44
in
23:44
the
23:45
Tom
23:45
Cruelty
23:45
Gold
23:46
cup
23:47
where
23:47
she
23:47
finished.
23:48
There
23:49
were
23:49
131
23:50
starters
23:50
and
23:51
78
23:51
finishes.
23:52
And
23:52
Ashley
23:53
was
23:53
one
23:53
of
23:54
two
23:55
United
23:55
States
23:56
writers
23:57
to
23:57
finish.
23:58
The
23:58
other
23:58
was
23:58
J.
23:59
Marrow.
24:00
And
24:00
we're
24:00
so
24:01
excited
24:01
to
24:01
get
24:01
to
24:02
talk
24:02
to
24:02
Ashley
24:02
about
24:03
her
24:03
adventure.
24:04
Good
24:05
morning,
24:05
Ashley,
24:06
thank
24:06
you
24:06
so
24:06
much
24:06
for
24:07
joining
24:07
us.
24:08
And
24:08
we
24:08
are
24:08
so
24:09
looking
24:09
forward
24:09
to
24:09
hearing
24:09
about
24:10
your
24:10
adventures
24:11
in
24:11
Australia.
24:13
And
24:14
I
24:14
understand
24:14
this
24:14
was
24:15
kind
24:15
of
24:15
a
24:15
full
24:16
circle
24:17
thing
24:18
for
24:18
you
24:18
encompassing
24:19
20
24:20
year
24:20
period.
24:21
So
24:22
tell
24:22
us
24:22
about
24:23
how
24:23
you
24:23
got
24:24
started
24:24
in
24:24
endurance
24:25
and
24:26
what
24:27
part
24:27
Australia
24:28
played
24:28
that
24:29
so
24:30
20
24:31
years
24:31
ago,
24:32
I.
24:32
Had
24:32
the
24:33
opportunity
24:34
to
24:35
go
24:35
down
24:35
to
24:36
Australia
24:36
on
24:36
a
24:37
family
24:37
vacation.
24:38
And
24:39
while
24:39
we
24:39
were
24:39
down
24:39
there,
24:40
my
24:40
dad
24:41
and
24:41
I
24:41
made
24:42
arrangements
24:42
for
24:43
a
24:44
weekend
24:45
adventure
24:46
tour
24:46
ride
24:47
that
24:47
was
24:48
put
24:48
together
24:48
by.
24:49
It
24:49
was
24:49
an
24:49
endurance
24:49
rider
24:50
down
24:50
there
24:50
who
24:51
used
24:51
his
24:52
endurance
24:52
horses
24:54
to
24:55
do
24:55
these,
24:55
what
24:56
they
24:56
called
24:56
bush
24:57
and
24:57
beach
24:58
adventure
24:58
tours
24:59
through
24:59
the
24:59
rainforest
25:00
and
25:00
out
25:00
onto
25:00
the
25:01
beach.
25:01
What
25:01
a
25:01
good
25:01
idea
25:02
for
25:02
paying
25:03
for
25:03
his
25:03
horses,
25:04
though.
25:04
That
25:04
was
25:04
a
25:04
great
25:04
idea.
25:06
Yes.
25:06
Yeah,
25:07
exactly.
25:07
They
25:07
basically
25:08
got
25:08
to
25:08
earn
25:08
their
25:08
keep.
25:09
So
25:09
it
25:09
was
25:10
just,
25:10
it
25:10
was
25:10
such
25:10
a
25:10
fantastic
25:11
experience.
25:11
It's
25:12
such
25:12
good
25:12
horses.
25:13
And
25:13
that
25:14
was
25:14
really
25:14
my
25:15
first
25:15
introduction
25:16
to
25:17
the
25:17
world
25:18
of
25:18
really
25:18
good
25:19
endurance
25:19
Arabians.
25:20
Previously,
25:21
most
25:21
of
25:21
it
25:22
had
25:22
been
25:22
through
25:23
the
25:24
show
25:24
type
25:25
of
25:26
world
25:26
where
25:27
I
25:27
live
25:27
near
25:28
Scottsdale,
25:29
Arizona,
25:30
which
25:30
is
25:30
home
25:30
to
25:30
the
25:31
Scottsdale
25:31
Arabian
25:32
Horse
25:32
Show.
25:32
So
25:32
I
25:32
grew
25:33
up
25:33
going
25:33
there
25:33
and
25:34
that
25:34
was
25:34
my
25:34
previous
25:35
exposure
25:35
to
25:35
Arabian.
25:36
So
25:36
this
25:36
was
25:36
my
25:36
first
25:37
true
25:38
exposure
25:38
to
25:39
how
25:40
a
25:40
good
25:41
purpose
25:41
bred
25:42
endurance
25:42
Arabian
25:43
could
25:43
be.
25:44
And
25:45
then
25:45
from
25:45
there
25:46
that
25:46
really
25:46
kind
25:46
of
25:46
got
25:47
endurance
25:47
got
25:48
its
25:48
hooks
25:48
into
25:48
me
25:49
at
25:49
that
25:49
point.
25:50
And
25:50
then
25:50
from
25:51
there
25:51
I
25:52
ended
25:52
up
25:52
coming
25:53
back
25:53
home
25:54
and
25:54
was
25:55
then
25:55
invited
25:55
to
25:56
come
25:56
crew
25:57
at
25:58
the
25:58
Tevis
25:59
cup
25:59
ride
26:00
later
26:00
that
26:00
summer.
26:01
And
26:01
that
26:02
was
26:02
the
26:02
50th
26:02
anniversary
26:03
of
26:03
the
26:03
Tevis.
26:03
So
26:04
that
26:04
was
26:04
actually
26:04
the
26:04
very
26:05
first
26:05
US
26:06
endurance
26:06
ride
26:07
I
26:07
ever
26:07
attended
26:08
was
26:08
50th
26:08
anniversary
26:09
of
26:09
the
26:09
Tevas.
26:10
Oh,
26:10
wow.
26:10
So
26:10
that
26:11
was
26:11
that,
26:12
that,
26:12
yes,
26:12
that
26:12
was
26:13
a
26:13
very
26:13
intense
26:14
but
26:14
awesome
26:14
experience.
26:15
And
26:16
then
26:16
from
26:16
there
26:17
I
26:17
started
26:17
conditioning
26:18
my
26:18
own
26:18
pony.
26:19
And
26:20
the
26:20
following
26:20
year
26:21
we
26:21
did
26:21
our
26:21
first
26:22
AERC
26:23
Sanction
26:24
ride.
26:25
So
26:25
that,
26:26
that
26:26
was
26:26
kind
26:26
of
26:26
how
26:27
that
26:28
basically
26:28
laid
26:29
the
26:29
foundation
26:29
for
26:31
putting
26:31
me
26:31
on
26:32
the
26:32
endurance
26:32
path.
26:33
And
26:33
then,
26:33
you
26:34
know,
26:34
fast
26:34
forward
26:34
20
26:35
years,
26:35
I'm
26:35
getting
26:36
a
26:36
invitation
26:37
to
26:37
come
26:38
down
26:38
and
26:39
ride
26:39
the
26:40
Tom
26:40
Quilty
26:41
Gold
26:41
cup,
26:42
which
26:42
is
26:42
their
26:43
national
26:43
championship
26:44
ride,
26:45
and
26:46
modeled
26:46
and
26:47
inspired
26:47
by
26:48
our
26:48
Tevis
26:48
Cup.
26:50
Okay,
26:51
and
26:51
so
26:52
describe
26:53
the
26:53
ride
26:53
for
26:54
us.
26:54
Let's
26:54
start
26:55
with
26:55
literally
26:56
the
26:56
start
26:57
of
26:57
it.
26:57
It
26:58
starts
26:59
at
26:59
midnight.
27:01
So
27:01
what
27:02
was
27:02
that?
27:02
What
27:02
was
27:03
that
27:03
like?
27:05
I
27:05
really
27:06
enjoyed
27:06
it.
27:07
For
27:07
me,
27:08
that
27:08
time
27:09
period
27:10
between
27:11
midnight
27:11
to
27:11
2:00
27:12
in
27:12
the
27:12
morning
27:13
on
27:13
the
27:13
previous
27:13
hundred
27:14
milers
27:14
I've
27:14
done,
27:15
that's
27:15
when
27:15
I'm
27:15
just,
27:15
just
27:16
dragging.
27:16
I
27:16
feel
27:17
my
27:18
low
27:18
point.
27:18
That's
27:19
for
27:19
me,
27:19
my
27:19
own
27:19
biorhythms
27:20
at
27:20
that
27:21
point
27:21
are
27:21
like
27:22
we
27:22
are
27:22
about
27:23
six
27:23
hours
27:23
past
27:23
when
27:24
we
27:24
should
27:24
be
27:24
in
27:24
bed.
27:25
So
27:26
to
27:27
actually
27:27
have
27:27
that
27:28
midnight
27:29
start,
27:30
the
27:30
adrenaline,
27:31
the
27:31
excitement
27:33
really
27:33
overrode
27:35
that.
27:35
And
27:36
did
27:36
you
27:36
sleep
27:36
at
27:36
all?
27:37
Did
27:37
you
27:37
try
27:37
and
27:37
sleep
27:38
at
27:38
all
27:38
before
27:38
it
27:38
or
27:38
did
27:39
you
27:39
just
27:39
say
27:40
I
27:40
did?
27:41
Yes,
27:41
I
27:41
actually
27:42
Basically
27:43
took
27:43
a
27:43
long
27:44
nap
27:44
about
27:45
5pm,
27:47
laid
27:47
down
27:48
and
27:48
was
27:48
able
27:48
to
27:48
sleep
27:49
then
27:49
till
27:49
about
27:50
11
27:51
o'clock
27:51
when
27:51
we
27:51
got
27:51
up
27:52
and
27:52
started
27:52
getting
27:52
horses
27:53
ready.
27:54
I
27:54
think
27:54
I
27:54
would
27:54
be
27:55
one
27:55
of
27:55
those
27:55
that
27:55
wouldn't
27:55
be
27:55
able
27:55
to
27:55
sleep.
27:56
I'd
27:56
just
27:56
be
27:56
up
27:56
for
27:57
the
27:57
48
27:57
hours
27:57
and
27:58
be
27:58
done
27:58
with
27:58
it.
28:00
I
28:01
didn't
28:01
know
28:01
how
28:01
that
28:01
would
28:02
go,
28:02
but
28:03
I
28:03
think
28:03
it.
28:04
Yeah,
28:04
I
28:04
was
28:05
surprised.
28:05
I
28:05
was
28:05
able
28:06
to
28:06
actually.
28:06
I
28:06
thought
28:07
I
28:07
might
28:07
just
28:07
lay
28:07
down
28:08
and
28:08
take
28:08
a
28:08
quick
28:08
nap.
28:09
But
28:09
once
28:09
I
28:10
laid
28:10
down,
28:10
I
28:10
was
28:10
actually
28:10
able
28:11
to
28:11
get
28:11
some
28:11
sleep
28:12
and
28:12
I
28:12
think
28:12
that
28:12
really
28:14
helped.
28:14
But
28:14
by
28:14
the
28:15
time
28:15
we
28:15
were
28:15
off
28:15
that
28:16
first
28:17
loop
28:17
of
28:17
about
28:18
26
28:18
miles,
28:20
then
28:20
it
28:21
was
28:21
like,
28:21
felt
28:22
totally
28:22
wide
28:22
awake
28:23
and
28:23
had
28:23
gotten
28:23
through
28:23
that
28:24
really
28:24
low
28:25
biorhythm
28:26
point.
28:26
And
28:26
so
28:26
then
28:26
I
28:27
felt
28:27
really
28:27
good.
28:28
Wow.
28:29
So
28:29
what
28:30
was
28:30
the
28:30
trail
28:30
like
28:31
this
28:31
year?
28:31
Because
28:31
I
28:31
know
28:32
this
28:32
ride
28:32
moves
28:33
around,
28:34
so
28:34
it's
28:35
not
28:35
always
28:35
the
28:36
same
28:36
trail
28:36
every
28:36
year.
28:37
So
28:37
what
28:38
was
28:38
it
28:39
like?
28:40
It
28:41
was
28:41
very,
28:42
very
28:42
hilly.
28:43
It
28:43
was
28:43
coastal,
28:44
so
28:44
we
28:44
were
28:45
located
28:45
in.
28:46
We're
28:46
in
28:46
a
28:46
cove,
28:47
South
28:48
Australia,
28:48
which
28:49
is
28:49
about
28:49
an
28:49
hour
28:50
or
28:50
so
28:50
south
28:51
of
28:51
Adelaide,
28:52
right
28:52
on
28:53
the
28:53
coast.
28:53
From
28:53
parts
28:53
of
28:54
the
28:54
course,
28:54
you
28:54
could
28:54
actually
28:55
look
28:55
out
28:55
and
28:55
just
28:55
see
28:56
the
28:56
ocean
28:56
right
28:56
there.
28:57
But
28:57
it
28:57
was
28:58
very,
28:58
very
28:59
rolling
29:00
hills.
29:00
Reminded
29:01
me
29:01
kind
29:01
of
29:01
parts
29:02
of
29:02
like
29:03
central
29:04
coastal
29:04
California,
29:05
where
29:05
you
29:06
just
29:06
have
29:06
these
29:06
long
29:08
climbs
29:09
and
29:09
then
29:09
these
29:09
long
29:10
descents.
29:11
Not
29:12
a
29:12
whole
29:12
lot
29:12
of
29:12
flat
29:13
in
29:13
between.
29:13
We
29:13
felt
29:14
like
29:14
we
29:14
were
29:14
either
29:14
if
29:14
we
29:14
weren't
29:15
going
29:15
up,
29:15
we
29:15
were
29:15
going
29:16
down.
29:16
Okay.
29:18
And
29:18
so
29:19
what
29:19
do.
29:20
What
29:20
did
29:20
you
29:21
see
29:21
or
29:22
the.
29:22
Some
29:23
of
29:23
the
29:23
differences
29:24
between
29:25
Aussie
29:25
endurance
29:26
and
29:26
US
29:26
endurance?
29:29
Well,
29:29
one
29:29
of
29:29
the
29:30
big
29:30
things
29:30
was
29:30
right
29:31
at
29:31
the
29:31
start,
29:32
they
29:32
run
29:33
with
29:34
headlamps
29:35
because
29:35
they
29:35
don't
29:35
mark
29:35
the
29:36
trails
29:36
with
29:36
glow
29:36
bars.
29:37
They're
29:37
just
29:38
reflective
29:39
trail
29:40
markers
29:41
with
29:41
the
29:41
loop
29:41
number
29:42
and
29:42
directional
29:43
arrows.
29:44
And
29:44
they're
29:44
reflective,
29:45
so
29:45
you
29:45
do
29:45
need
29:46
some
29:46
light
29:46
to
29:46
see
29:47
them.
29:47
But
29:48
everybody
29:48
wears
29:49
bright
29:49
white
29:50
headlamps.
29:52
I
29:52
know
29:52
some
29:52
riders
29:53
don't
29:53
like
29:53
it.
29:53
I
29:54
actually
29:55
did
29:55
like
29:56
it.
29:56
I
29:56
liked
29:56
being
29:57
able
29:57
to
29:58
see
29:58
a
29:58
little
29:58
bit
29:59
more
29:59
of
29:59
where
29:59
we
29:59
were
30:00
going.
30:00
The
30:00
horses
30:01
didn't
30:01
seem
30:01
to
30:01
have
30:02
any
30:02
problems
30:02
with
30:02
it.
30:03
I
30:03
think
30:03
they're
30:03
probably
30:04
all
30:05
used
30:05
to
30:05
it.
30:05
That's
30:06
their
30:06
typical
30:06
protocols.
30:08
That
30:09
was
30:09
one
30:09
of
30:09
the
30:09
big
30:10
differences.
30:11
Again,
30:11
slightly
30:12
different
30:12
protocols
30:13
for
30:13
trail
30:13
marking,
30:14
using
30:15
directional
30:16
arrows
30:16
on
30:17
sign
30:17
pieces
30:18
rather
30:18
than
30:19
our
30:19
hanging
30:20
ribbons.
30:22
They
30:22
implement
30:23
a
30:24
electronic
30:26
timing
30:26
system
30:27
into
30:28
how
30:28
they
30:28
run
30:29
their
30:29
rides,
30:30
where
30:30
you
30:30
actually
30:31
carry
30:31
a
30:31
little
30:32
timing
30:33
card
30:33
on
30:33
you
30:33
that
30:33
you
30:34
swipe
30:34
when
30:34
you
30:34
come
30:35
into
30:35
the
30:36
vet,
30:36
check
30:36
for
30:36
your
30:37
in
30:37
time
30:37
and
30:37
then
30:37
you
30:38
swipe
30:38
again
30:38
when
30:38
you're
30:38
going
30:39
to
30:39
present
30:40
to
30:40
the
30:41
vet.
30:41
Oh,
30:41
that's
30:42
interesting.
30:42
So
30:42
that
30:42
was
30:43
definitely.
30:43
That's
30:43
cool.
30:44
Yeah,
30:44
that
30:44
was
30:44
definitely
30:45
different.
30:45
I
30:45
know
30:46
other
30:46
parts
30:46
of
30:46
the
30:46
world
30:46
do
30:47
use
30:47
some
30:47
sort
30:48
of
30:48
chip
30:48
timing
30:49
system.
30:50
It's.
30:50
I
30:50
don't
30:51
know
30:51
how
30:51
much
30:51
that's
30:52
implemented
30:52
here
30:53
in
30:53
the
30:53
US
30:54
or
30:54
not.
30:55
Maybe
30:55
some
30:55
other
30:55
regions
30:56
do,
30:56
but
30:56
I
30:56
know
30:56
that's
30:57
something
30:57
that's
30:57
not
30:58
really
30:58
seen
30:58
at
30:58
all
30:59
in
30:59
the
31:00
Southwest.
31:00
So
31:01
that
31:01
was
31:01
actually
31:01
really
31:02
kept
31:02
things
31:03
moving
31:03
very
31:03
quickly.
31:04
It
31:04
was
31:04
very
31:04
efficient.
31:07
One
31:07
of
31:07
the
31:07
other
31:07
things
31:08
they
31:08
do
31:08
is
31:09
log
31:10
books
31:10
for
31:10
the
31:11
horses
31:11
where
31:12
instead
31:12
of
31:12
having
31:12
just
31:13
a
31:13
single
31:13
piece
31:14
of
31:14
paper
31:15
for
31:15
your
31:15
vet
31:16
card
31:16
that
31:17
you
31:17
carry
31:17
on
31:17
you,
31:17
they
31:18
actually
31:18
have
31:18
logbooks
31:19
that
31:20
record
31:21
all
31:21
of
31:21
the
31:22
horses
31:22
vet
31:23
scores.
31:23
And
31:24
that
31:24
book
31:24
follows
31:25
the
31:25
horse
31:25
through
31:25
their
31:25
entire
31:26
endurance
31:26
career.
31:26
So
31:26
you
31:27
can
31:27
actually
31:27
flip
31:28
back
31:28
through
31:28
and
31:28
look
31:28
at
31:29
like
31:29
previous
31:30
rides,
31:30
what
31:30
their
31:30
scores
31:31
were.
31:33
Yeah,
31:34
that
31:34
was
31:34
really
31:34
fun
31:34
to
31:35
be
31:35
able
31:35
to
31:35
see
31:36
because,
31:36
you
31:36
know,
31:36
we
31:37
don't
31:37
remember
31:38
from
31:38
ride
31:39
to
31:39
ride
31:39
what
31:40
our
31:40
horses
31:41
have
31:42
done
31:42
unless
31:43
we've
31:43
been
31:44
coherent
31:44
at
31:44
the
31:45
end
31:45
of
31:45
a
31:45
ride
31:45
enough
31:46
to
31:46
actually
31:46
take
31:46
a
31:46
picture
31:47
of
31:47
our
31:47
vet
31:47
card
31:48
and
31:48
then
31:48
we
31:48
have
31:48
to
31:48
remember
31:49
to
31:49
find
31:49
the
31:50
picture.
31:50
You
31:50
have
31:50
to
31:50
find
31:50
it
31:50
on
31:51
your
31:51
phone.
31:51
Yeah.
31:53
Yes,
31:54
yes,
31:54
exactly.
31:55
So
31:55
that
31:55
was
31:56
a
31:56
really
31:56
cool,
31:57
kind
31:58
of
31:58
a
31:58
different,
31:58
different
31:59
thing
31:59
to
31:59
see.
31:59
But
32:00
okay,
32:00
so
32:00
I
32:01
have
32:01
a
32:01
question
32:01
for
32:01
you.
32:02
Why
32:02
is
32:02
it
32:02
that
32:03
the
32:03
country
32:03
that
32:03
invents
32:04
all
32:04
the
32:04
technology
32:05
in
32:05
the
32:05
world
32:05
is
32:05
the
32:05
last
32:06
one
32:06
to
32:06
use
32:06
any
32:06
of
32:06
it?
32:08
I
32:08
mean,
32:08
it's
32:09
from.
32:09
From.
32:09
That's
32:10
a
32:10
good
32:10
question.
32:10
You
32:10
know,
32:11
from,
32:11
from
32:11
how
32:12
easy
32:12
it
32:12
is
32:12
in
32:13
Europe
32:13
to
32:13
pay
32:13
with
32:13
your
32:14
phone
32:14
for
32:14
everything
32:15
and
32:15
just,
32:15
you
32:15
know,
32:16
all
32:16
that
32:16
stuff.
32:17
You
32:17
know,
32:17
it
32:17
just,
32:18
it
32:18
just
32:18
blows
32:18
me
32:19
away
32:19
how
32:19
we're
32:19
the
32:19
last
32:20
ones
32:20
to
32:20
implement
32:20
all
32:20
this
32:20
stuff.
32:23
That's
32:23
a
32:23
good
32:24
question.
32:24
Yeah.
32:26
I'm
32:26
not
32:26
sure
32:26
what
32:27
it
32:27
would
32:28
take
32:28
to
32:28
implement
32:29
some
32:30
of
32:30
these
32:30
ideas,
32:30
but
32:30
it's
32:31
a
32:31
good
32:31
question,
32:32
good
32:32
observation.
32:33
So
32:34
before
32:34
the
32:34
ride,
32:35
how
32:35
long
32:35
did
32:36
you
32:36
get
32:36
to
32:36
spend
32:36
with
32:36
your
32:37
horse
32:37
and
32:37
tell
32:37
us
32:37
about
32:37
your
32:38
horse.
32:39
So
32:40
her
32:40
name
32:41
is
32:41
Ms.
32:41
Dior.
32:42
Mi
32:43
Mi
32:44
is
32:44
the
32:44
breeder
32:46
designation
32:47
on
32:47
that.
32:48
But
32:48
she
32:48
is
32:48
a
32:49
15
32:49
year
32:49
old
32:50
Anglo
32:51
Arabian
32:51
mare.
32:52
So
32:52
she's.
32:52
Her
32:53
breeding
32:53
is
32:53
three
32:53
quarter
32:54
Arabian
32:54
and
32:54
a
32:55
quarter
32:55
thoroughbred.
32:56
This
32:57
was
32:57
her
32:58
third
32:59
Quilty
33:01
and
33:01
third
33:01
finish.
33:02
So
33:02
she
33:03
was
33:03
very,
33:04
very
33:04
experienced.
33:06
As
33:06
close
33:06
to
33:07
3,000
33:08
km
33:09
of
33:09
competitive
33:10
miles
33:11
on
33:11
her
33:11
record
33:12
and
33:12
just,
33:12
she
33:14
knows
33:14
her
33:14
job,
33:15
absolutely
33:15
loves
33:16
her
33:16
job.
33:16
She
33:16
took
33:17
such
33:17
good
33:17
care
33:18
of
33:18
me
33:18
all
33:18
day
33:19
long.
33:19
She
33:19
was
33:19
just
33:19
like,
33:20
yep,
33:20
just
33:20
hang
33:21
on
33:21
and
33:21
we'll
33:22
get
33:22
through
33:22
this.
33:23
She
33:23
knew
33:23
the
33:23
route
33:24
and
33:24
took
33:24
you
33:24
along
33:24
for
33:25
the
33:25
ride,
33:27
basically
33:27
she's
33:28
just.
33:28
Like,
33:28
you
33:28
know
33:28
what,
33:29
stay
33:29
out
33:29
of
33:29
my
33:29
way
33:29
and
33:29
let
33:30
me
33:30
do
33:30
my
33:30
thing.
33:31
You
33:32
were
33:32
more
33:32
tired
33:32
than
33:32
her
33:33
at
33:33
the
33:33
end,
33:33
safe
33:34
to
33:34
say.
33:34
Probably.
33:35
I
33:35
think
33:35
so.
33:36
Probably.
33:37
Yes.
33:38
Yes.
33:39
She
33:39
actually
33:39
has
33:40
more
33:40
miles
33:40
and
33:40
experience
33:41
technically
33:42
than
33:42
I
33:42
do.
33:43
How
33:43
long
33:44
before
33:44
did
33:44
you
33:44
go
33:44
ahead?
33:45
Because
33:45
obviously
33:45
you
33:45
have
33:46
the
33:46
flight.
33:46
I
33:46
mean
33:46
it's,
33:47
it's
33:47
a
33:48
haul.
33:49
It
33:49
was,
33:49
it's
33:50
almost
33:50
a
33:50
15
33:51
hour
33:51
flight
33:51
down
33:52
there.
33:52
I
33:52
ended
33:53
up
33:53
leaving.
33:53
I
33:53
was
33:53
gone
33:54
for
33:54
almost
33:54
three
33:54
weeks
33:55
and
33:56
so
33:57
I
33:58
flew
33:58
in
33:58
there
33:58
and
33:59
arrived
33:59
about
33:59
a
33:59
week
33:59
and
34:00
a
34:00
half
34:00
before
34:00
the
34:00
ride.
34:01
Okay,
34:02
and
34:03
you
34:03
got
34:03
to
34:03
spend
34:04
some
34:04
time
34:04
on
34:04
her
34:04
then
34:04
beforehand?
34:06
Yes,
34:06
yeah,
34:06
I've
34:06
got
34:07
to
34:07
meet
34:07
her
34:07
ahead
34:08
of
34:08
time.
34:09
Stayed
34:09
there
34:09
with,
34:10
on
34:10
the
34:10
farm
34:11
with
34:11
my
34:12
friends
34:12
who
34:12
had
34:12
offered
34:13
me
34:13
the
34:13
ride.
34:14
So
34:14
I
34:14
stayed
34:14
with
34:14
them
34:15
and
34:16
time
34:16
getting
34:16
to
34:16
know
34:16
the
34:17
horse
34:17
ahead
34:17
of
34:17
time.
34:18
I
34:18
was
34:18
able
34:19
to
34:19
do
34:19
some
34:19
pre
34:20
riding
34:20
on
34:21
her.
34:23
See,
34:23
I
34:23
wasn't
34:23
like
34:24
jumping
34:24
on
34:24
her.
34:24
Midnight
34:25
ride
34:26
start
34:26
for
34:26
the
34:27
very
34:27
first
34:27
time
34:27
ever.
34:29
You
34:30
wrote
34:30
something
34:30
in
34:30
the
34:31
post
34:31
you
34:31
did
34:32
about
34:32
the
34:32
venue.
34:33
You
34:33
said,
34:33
I'm
34:33
so
34:33
spoiled
34:34
to
34:34
ride
34:34
venues
34:35
now
34:35
with
34:35
flush
34:35
toilets
34:36
and
34:36
hot
34:36
showers.
34:37
Another
34:37
thing.
34:40
You
34:41
were
34:41
impressed
34:41
by
34:41
that
34:42
guess.
34:43
Yes,
34:44
it
34:44
was
34:44
a
34:45
really
34:45
nice.
34:45
It
34:45
was
34:46
what
34:46
they
34:46
call
34:46
a
34:47
holiday
34:47
caravan
34:48
park.
34:48
Guess
34:49
it'd
34:49
be
34:49
kind
34:49
of
34:49
like
34:49
an
34:49
RV
34:50
campground
34:50
for
34:51
us
34:51
that
34:52
had
34:52
power
34:52
hookups
34:53
and
34:54
permanent
34:56
facilities
34:57
in
34:57
terms
34:57
of
34:57
bathrooms
34:58
and
34:59
showers.
35:00
So
35:00
really,
35:01
really
35:01
nice.
35:02
You
35:02
missed
35:02
the
35:03
porta
35:03
potty.
35:03
You
35:03
admit
35:03
it.
35:06
Oh,
35:07
they
35:07
had
35:07
those
35:07
two
35:08
tucked
35:08
away,
35:09
so.
35:12
Oh,
35:12
gosh.
35:13
Okay,
35:13
Ashley,
35:14
so
35:14
what
35:14
advice
35:15
would
35:15
you
35:15
have
35:15
for
35:16
someone
35:16
thinking
35:16
of
35:17
making
35:17
the
35:18
trip
35:18
to
35:19
do
35:19
the
35:19
Tom
35:19
Quilty?
35:23
Me
35:24
it
35:24
was
35:25
make
35:25
sure
35:26
that
35:26
you
35:27
are
35:28
ride
35:29
fit
35:29
yourself.
35:31
Definitely
35:32
be
35:33
prepared
35:33
for.
35:35
At
35:35
least
35:35
for
35:35
me,
35:36
it
35:36
ended
35:36
up
35:37
being
35:37
a.
35:37
Yeah.
35:38
Ride
35:39
experience.
35:39
I
35:40
thought
35:40
I
35:40
was
35:41
pretty
35:41
fit
35:42
going
35:42
in
35:43
and
35:44
I
35:44
definitely
35:45
could
35:45
have
35:45
been
35:46
even
35:46
more
35:47
physically
35:47
fit
35:48
just
35:48
in
35:48
terms
35:49
of
35:50
riding
35:51
fitness
35:51
and
35:51
even
35:51
just
35:52
general
35:53
fitness.
35:53
Ended
35:53
up
35:54
being
35:54
a
35:54
little
35:55
faster
35:55
pace
35:55
than
35:56
I'm
35:56
typically
35:57
accustomed
35:57
to
35:57
riding
35:59
as
36:00
well
36:00
as
36:00
just,
36:01
it's
36:02
a
36:02
hundred
36:02
miles,
36:03
it's
36:03
a
36:03
long
36:04
time
36:04
in
36:04
the
36:04
saddle,
36:04
it's
36:05
a
36:05
long
36:05
way
36:05
to
36:05
go.
36:06
So
36:06
I'd
36:06
say
36:08
the
36:08
more
36:08
physically
36:09
fit
36:09
and
36:09
in
36:10
shape
36:10
you
36:10
are,
36:11
the
36:11
better
36:11
off
36:11
you're
36:12
going
36:12
to
36:12
be.
36:14
And
36:14
I
36:14
was
36:15
very,
36:15
very
36:15
fortunate
36:17
in
36:17
terms
36:17
of
36:18
having
36:18
friends
36:19
that
36:19
offered
36:20
me
36:20
a
36:20
horse
36:22
where
36:22
I
36:22
knew
36:23
them,
36:25
knew
36:25
that
36:26
was
36:26
getting
36:27
a
36:27
really,
36:28
really
36:28
good
36:28
ride.
36:29
So
36:29
I
36:29
would
36:30
say
36:30
if
36:30
people
36:30
are
36:30
interested,
36:32
just
36:32
network,
36:33
reach
36:34
out.
36:34
I
36:35
found
36:35
the
36:36
whole
36:36
endurance
36:37
community
36:37
down
36:37
there
36:38
was
36:38
very
36:39
welcoming,
36:40
very
36:40
friendly.
36:41
So
36:41
if
36:41
people
36:42
are
36:42
interested
36:42
in
36:43
trying
36:43
to
36:43
find
36:43
a
36:43
quilty
36:44
ride,
36:44
I'D
36:44
say
36:45
start
36:45
networking,
36:46
join
36:46
some
36:46
of
36:46
their
36:46
Facebook
36:47
groups,
36:48
you
36:48
know,
36:48
put
36:48
feelers
36:49
out
36:49
there
36:50
and
36:51
you
36:51
know,
36:52
just
36:52
start
36:53
coming
36:53
up
36:53
with
36:54
a
36:54
plan
36:55
of
36:55
reaching
36:55
out
36:55
and
36:56
seeing
36:56
what's
36:57
available
36:57
in
36:57
terms
36:57
of
36:58
if
36:58
people
36:58
have
36:58
a
36:59
horse
36:59
to
36:59
lease
37:00
or
37:00
ride.
37:01
Okay.
37:02
And
37:02
so
37:03
tell
37:03
us
37:03
about
37:04
your
37:04
hoof
37:04
protection.
37:05
I
37:05
have
37:05
to
37:05
ask
37:06
that.
37:07
So
37:08
the
37:09
Brysons,
37:09
Paul
37:09
and
37:09
Marty
37:10
that
37:10
I
37:10
rode
37:11
with
37:11
use
37:11
Renegade
37:12
hoof
37:12
boots.
37:13
That
37:13
was
37:13
actually
37:14
how
37:14
this
37:14
entire
37:14
invitation
37:16
ended
37:16
up
37:16
coming
37:17
about.
37:17
And
37:17
my
37:17
connection
37:18
to
37:18
how
37:18
I
37:18
even
37:19
met
37:19
them
37:20
was
37:20
Renegade
37:21
sponsors
37:22
their
37:23
competition
37:24
boots.
37:24
Of
37:24
course,
37:25
I
37:25
work
37:25
for
37:25
Renegade.
37:26
So
37:26
when
37:27
I
37:27
started
37:27
taking
37:27
over
37:28
more
37:28
of
37:28
our
37:29
sponsorship
37:29
accounts,
37:30
then
37:31
I
37:31
started
37:31
communicating
37:32
with
37:32
them
37:33
as
37:33
goes
37:34
back
37:34
probably
37:34
five
37:35
or
37:35
six
37:35
years
37:35
now.
37:36
And
37:36
so
37:36
just
37:37
started
37:37
spending
37:37
more
37:37
and
37:38
more
37:38
time
37:38
communicating
37:39
with
37:39
them
37:39
back
37:40
and
37:40
forth.
37:41
And
37:41
then
37:42
last
37:43
year
37:44
they
37:45
invited
37:45
me
37:46
to
37:47
come
37:47
and
37:48
ride
37:49
this
37:49
year's.
37:50
That's
37:50
so
37:50
cool.
37:51
That's
37:51
so
37:51
cool.
37:52
Well,
37:52
congratulations.
37:53
Have
37:53
you
37:53
taken,
37:54
have
37:54
you
37:54
taken
37:54
the
37:54
buckle
37:55
off
37:55
yet?
37:57
Yeah,
37:58
I
37:58
have
37:58
to
37:58
take
37:58
it
37:58
off
37:59
to
37:59
sleep.
38:01
It
38:01
is
38:01
pretty
38:02
impressive.
38:02
78.
38:03
I
38:03
have
38:03
131
38:04
starters
38:04
and
38:04
you
38:04
were
38:04
one
38:05
of
38:05
the
38:05
finishers.
38:05
So
38:06
congratulations.
38:06
Well
38:06
done.
38:07
Oh,
38:08
thank
38:08
you.
38:08
Thank
38:09
you.
38:09
It
38:10
was
38:10
quite,
38:10
it
38:11
was
38:11
pro,
38:11
I'd
38:12
say
38:12
I
38:12
was
38:12
a
38:13
life
38:14
ride
38:14
of
38:14
a
38:14
lifetime
38:15
kind
38:15
of
38:15
experience.
38:16
It
38:16
was
38:16
just,
38:16
everything
38:17
about
38:17
it
38:17
was
38:18
just
38:18
incredible.
38:21
Even
38:22
under
38:22
the
38:22
best
38:22
circumstances,
38:23
travel
38:24
is
38:24
stressful
38:24
for
38:24
horses.
38:26
We've
38:26
all
38:27
been
38:27
there.
38:27
Stuck

on
38:28
the
38:28
side
38:28

38:28

road
38:29
in
38:29
the
38:29
middle
38:29
of
38:30
nowhere.
38:31
You
38:31
can
38:31
make
38:31
the
38:31
journey
38:32
knowing
38:32
that
38:32
US

38:33
there
38:34

you.

38:35
peace
38:36

Our
38:46
next
38:47

38:48
is
38:49
Dr.
38:50
Lucien
38:51
Spitaro
38:52
Jr.
38:53
He
38:54
is
38:54
an
38:54
environmentalist,
38:56
businessman,
38:56
educator
38:57
and
38:57
adventurer
38:58
whose
38:58
accomplishments
38:59
are
39:00
record
39:00
breaking.
39:01
His
39:01
book,
39:02
the
39:02
Long
39:02
Ride
39:03
is
39:04
Beautiful.
39:04
Chronology
39:05
of
39:05
a
39:06
place
39:06
and
39:06
time
39:06
when
39:06
three
39:07
horses
39:07
and
39:07
a
39:07
team
39:07
of
39:08
people
39:08
were
39:08
doing
39:08
the
39:09
right
39:09
thing
39:09
against
39:10
very
39:10
long
39:10
odds.
39:11
So
39:11
we're
39:12
going
39:12
to
39:12
talk
39:12
about
39:12
his
39:12
book,
39:13
but
39:13
we're
39:13
also
39:13
going
39:14
to
39:14
talk
39:14
about
39:15
the
39:15
sport
39:15
of
39:16
endurance
39:16
and
39:16
how
39:17
to
39:17
encourage
39:18
new
39:18
participants
39:19
and
39:20
writers
39:20
and
39:21
getting
39:21
them
39:21
interested
39:22
in
39:22
our
39:23
wonderful
39:23
sport.
39:24
Well,
39:25
good
39:25
morning,
39:25
Lucien,
39:26
and
39:26
thank
39:26
you
39:26
so
39:26
much
39:27
for
39:27
joining
39:27
us.
39:28
And
39:28
I'm
39:28
excited
39:29
to
39:29
talk
39:30
to
39:30
you
39:31
about
39:31
the
39:32
recent
39:32
article
39:33
that
39:33
you
39:33
wrote
39:33
that
39:34
was
39:34
in
39:34
Arabian
39:35
Horse
39:36
magazine
39:36
that
39:37
AERC
39:37
shared
39:39
where
39:39
we
39:39
are
39:40
discussing
39:41
the
39:41
topic
39:41
of
39:42
our
39:42
dwindling
39:43
numbers
39:43
in
39:43
the
39:43
sport
39:44
of
39:44
endurance
39:45
and
39:45
how
39:45
we
39:46
need
39:46
to
39:46
encourage
39:47
people
39:47
to
39:47
come
39:47
into
39:47
the
39:48
sport
39:48
and
39:50
how
39:50
they
39:50
can
39:50
learn
39:50
more
39:51
about
39:51
it.
39:52
Great.
39:53
So
39:54
let's
39:55
get
39:55
started.
39:56
There
39:57
what
39:57
advice
39:57
do
39:58
you
39:58
have
39:58
for
39:58
somebody
39:59
that
39:59
wants
40:00
to
40:00
get
40:00
involved
40:01
in
40:01
the
40:01
sport
40:01
of
40:01
endurance
40:02
riding?
40:04
Well,
40:04
you
40:04
know,
40:05
the
40:05
endurance
40:05
sport
40:06
is
40:07
an
40:07
opportunity
40:08
for
40:09
riders
40:10
who
40:10
have
40:11
not
40:11
just
40:12
Arabs,
40:12
but
40:13
horses
40:13
that
40:14
they
40:14
would
40:14
like
40:15
to
40:15
use
40:15
in
40:15
other
40:16
disciplines.
40:17
And.
40:17
And
40:18
it's
40:19
a
40:19
pretty
40:20
easy
40:20
sport
40:20
to
40:20
get
40:21
involved
40:21
in
40:22
only
40:22
because
40:23
it's
40:23
really
40:24
an
40:24
upgraded
40:24
version
40:25
of
40:25
trail
40:25
riding.
40:26
So,
40:27
you
40:27
know,
40:27
if
40:27
you
40:27
take
40:28
your
40:28
horse
40:29
as
40:29
a
40:30
cross
40:31
disciplinary
40:33
training
40:33
effort
40:34
on
40:34
trails
40:35
and
40:35
you're
40:35
doing
40:36
arena
40:36
work,
40:37
and
40:38
you're
40:38
just
40:38
going
40:39
to
40:39
basically
40:39
expand
40:40
on
40:40
that
40:40
a
40:40
bit
40:41
and
40:41
pick
40:42
up
40:42
the
40:42
speed
40:42
a
40:42
little
40:42
bit
40:43
and
40:44
go
40:44
a
40:44
little
40:44
longer
40:45
distance,
40:46
it's
40:46
not
40:46
a
40:47
stretch,
40:48
a
40:48
big
40:48
stretch,
40:49
to
40:49
take
40:50
a
40:50
horse
40:51
that's
40:51
been
40:51
doing
40:52
trail
40:52
work
40:53
and
40:53
get
40:54
into
40:54
endurance.
40:55
And
40:55
a
40:56
lot
40:56
of
40:56
riders
40:56
who
40:57
are
40:57
in
40:57
other
40:57
disciplines,
40:58
like
40:59
arena
41:00
disciplines,
41:00
like
41:01
dressage
41:02
and
41:02
roping
41:03
and
41:03
barrel
41:03
racing,
41:04
and
41:05
they
41:06
will
41:06
take
41:06
those
41:07
horses
41:07
and
41:07
use
41:08
those
41:08
horses
41:09
out
41:09
on
41:09
the
41:09
trail
41:10
just
41:11
as
41:11
kind
41:12
of
41:12
a
41:12
secondary
41:13
discipline,
41:13
just
41:13
to
41:14
kind
41:14
of,
41:15
you
41:15
know,
41:15
train
41:15
their
41:16
brain
41:16
to
41:16
do
41:16
other
41:16
things.
41:17
And
41:18
so
41:18
when
41:18
those
41:19
horses
41:19
are
41:19
then
41:20
asked
41:20
to
41:20
do
41:20
a
41:20
little
41:20
bit
41:21
more
41:21
and
41:21
a
41:21
little
41:21
bit
41:21
more,
41:22
it's
41:23
not
41:23
a
41:23
big
41:23
stretch.
41:24
And
41:25
so
41:25
when
41:25
I
41:27
did
41:27
a
41:27
lot
41:27
of
41:27
the
41:28
posting
41:29
on
41:29
Facebook,
41:30
I
41:30
was
41:30
really
41:31
trying
41:31
to
41:31
reach
41:31
out
41:32
to
41:32
people
41:33
in
41:33
my
41:33
Facebook
41:34
post
41:34
who
41:34
aren't
41:35
in
41:35
our
41:35
circle
41:35
of
41:36
riders
41:37
in
41:37
an
41:37
effort
41:37
to
41:38
convince
41:38
them
41:39
or
41:40
introduce
41:41
them
41:41
to
41:41
our
41:41
sport.
41:42
And
41:43
that's
41:43
how
41:43
the
41:44
Arabian
41:44
Horse
41:44
Times
41:45
got
41:45
wind
41:46
of
41:46
my
41:47
writing,
41:47
was
41:47
on
41:48
Facebook,
41:48
and
41:49
asked
41:49
me
41:49
to
41:49
put
41:49
together
41:50
an
41:50
article
41:51
that
41:52
would
41:52
introduce
41:53
their
41:54
other
41:54
riders
41:55
who
41:55
are
41:55
in
41:55
other
41:55
disciplines
41:56
in
41:56
this
41:56
magazine
41:57
to
41:57
endurance.
41:58
So
41:59
that's
41:59
how
41:59
we
41:59
ended
42:00
up
42:00
writing
42:00
the
42:00
article.
42:01
Lucian,
42:02
what
42:02
do
42:02
you
42:02
credit
42:03
for.
42:03
For
42:04
the
42:04
drop
42:04
off?
42:04
What
42:04
do
42:04
you
42:04
credit.
42:05
I
42:06
know
42:06
there's
42:06
a
42:06
lot
42:06
of
42:06
factors,
42:07
but
42:07
do
42:07
you
42:08
have
42:08
two
42:08
or
42:08
three
42:08
that
42:09
are
42:09
top
42:09
of
42:09
your
42:09
list
42:10
of
42:10
why
42:10
we're
42:10
seeing
42:10
it?
42:11
I
42:12
think
42:13
there's
42:13
been
42:13
a
42:14
change
42:14
in
42:16
just
42:17
the
42:18
culture,
42:19
I
42:20
think,
42:21
of
42:21
younger
42:22
riders.
42:24
Well,
42:24
two
42:25
things.
42:26
It's
42:26
not
42:26
really
42:26
a
42:27
spectator
42:27
sport,
42:28
so
42:29
that's
42:29
one
42:30
big
42:30
issue.
42:31
Spectators
42:32
aren't
42:33
able
42:33
to
42:34
watch
42:34
us
42:34
ride
42:35
because
42:35
we're
42:35
out
42:35
in
42:35
the
42:36
middle
42:36
of
42:36
nowhere
42:36
on
42:36
trails,
42:37
and
42:38
they
42:38
see
42:38
us
42:38
come
42:38
into
42:39
vet
42:39
checks
42:39
and
42:39
they
42:40
see
42:40
us
42:40
come
42:40
into
42:40
the
42:41
finish
42:41
line
42:42
and
42:42
they
42:42
see
42:42
us
42:42
leave.
42:44
So
42:44
if
42:44
you're
42:44
a
42:45
parent
42:45
or
42:46
if
42:46
you're
42:46
a
42:46
partner
42:47
of
42:47
a
42:47
person
42:47
who's
42:48
a
42:48
rider,
42:49
you
42:49
sit
42:49
in
42:49
camp
42:50
and
42:50
wait
42:50
for
42:50
them
42:50
to
42:51
show
42:51
up.
42:52
And
42:52
it's
42:52
not
42:53
really
42:53
a
42:53
spectator
42:54
sport
42:54
like
42:54
it
42:54
would
42:54
be
42:55
for
42:55
an
42:56
arena
42:57
discipline
42:57
like
42:57
dressage
42:58
or
42:59
rodeo
42:59
or
42:59
something
43:00
like
43:00
that.
43:00
I
43:00
don't
43:00
know.
43:00
I
43:01
Got
43:01
pretty
43:01
bored
43:01
going
43:02
to
43:02
dressage
43:02
shows
43:02
with
43:02
my
43:03
wife
43:03
for
43:03
a
43:03
long
43:03
time.
43:05
That's
43:06
one
43:06
issue,
43:06
because
43:07
you
43:07
can't
43:07
watch
43:08
the
43:08
participants
43:09
in
43:10
a
43:10
big
43:10
way.
43:10
You
43:11
can
43:11
crew
43:11
for
43:11
them,
43:12
but
43:13
you
43:13
can't
43:13
watch
43:13
them
43:13
20,
43:14
you
43:14
know,
43:14
as
43:14
they're
43:15
doing
43:15
the
43:15
sport.
43:16
So
43:16
that's
43:16
one
43:17
issue.
43:17
I
43:17
think
43:17
also
43:19
with
43:19
younger
43:20
riders,
43:21
we
43:22
have
43:22
to
43:22
do
43:22
a
43:22
better
43:22
job
43:23
of
43:23
reaching
43:23
out
43:23
to
43:24
them,
43:24
introducing
43:24
them
43:25
to
43:25
the
43:25
sport,
43:25
because
43:26
I
43:26
think
43:26
they're
43:26
exposed
43:27
as
43:28
younger
43:28
riders
43:28
to
43:28
a
43:29
lot
43:29
of
43:29
the
43:29
arena
43:29
sports,
43:30
but
43:30
they're
43:31
not
43:31
exposed
43:32
to
43:32
this
43:32
particular
43:32
sport
43:33
like
43:34
they
43:34
have
43:34
in
43:34
the
43:34
past.
43:35
And
43:35
I
43:35
think
43:35
also
43:36
with
43:37
younger
43:37
people
43:37
and
43:38
mostly
43:38
women
43:39
who
43:39
are
43:39
in
43:40
our
43:40
sport,
43:40
I'd
43:40
say
43:40
it's
43:41
85
43:41
or
43:41
90%
43:42
women.
43:44
They're
43:45
not,
43:45
I
43:46
wouldn't
43:46
say,
43:46
as
43:47
adventuresome
43:48
people
43:49
have
43:50
been
43:50
in
43:50
Pest
43:51
in
43:51
the
43:52
past,
43:52
you
43:52
know,
43:53
growing
43:53
up
43:54
in
43:54
the
43:54
60s
43:54
and
43:55
70s
43:55
and
43:56
80s
43:56
and
43:57
90s.
43:57
I
43:58
think
43:59
it's
44:00
a
44:00
sport
44:00
where
44:00
it's
44:01
physically.
44:02
It's
44:03
physically
44:04
tough
44:04
sport,
44:05
so
44:05
you've
44:05
got
44:05
to
44:05
have
44:06
some
44:07
kahunas
44:07
to
44:08
go
44:08
out
44:08
and
44:08
do
44:08
it.
44:09
So
44:09
I
44:09
think
44:11
there's
44:11
some
44:11
issues
44:11
there.
44:12
It.
44:13
It's
44:13
physically
44:14
difficult,
44:14
whereas
44:15
in
44:15
an
44:15
arena
44:15
sport,
44:16
you're
44:16
doing
44:16
it
44:16
for
44:16
a
44:16
very
44:17
short
44:17
period
44:17
of
44:17
time.
44:18
And
44:18
you
44:18
can
44:19
kind
44:19
of
44:19
endure,
44:20
you
44:20
know,
44:20
10
44:20
or
44:21
15
44:21
minutes
44:21
or
44:22
5
44:22
minutes
44:22
or
44:22
30
44:23
seconds
44:23
of
44:24
riding.
44:25
But
44:25
you
44:25
can't
44:26
really
44:27
compare
44:27
that
44:28
to
44:28
being
44:28
in
44:28
the
44:28
south
44:28
for
44:29
10
44:29
or
44:29
12
44:29
hours,
44:30
you
44:31
know,
44:31
moving
44:31
at
44:31
a
44:32
pretty
44:32
fast
44:32
pace
44:32
through
44:33
the
44:33
desert.
44:34
You
44:34
know,
44:34
it's.
44:34
It's
44:35
true,
44:35
I
44:35
think,
44:35
and
44:35
we're
44:35
seeing
44:36
this
44:36
in
44:36
all
44:36
the
44:36
sports,
44:37
though,
44:37
because
44:37
we
44:37
cover
44:37
everything
44:38
here
44:38
at
44:38
the
44:38
Horse
44:38
Radio
44:39
Network
44:39
and
44:39
we
44:39
are
44:40
seeing
44:40
a
44:40
drop
44:40
off
44:40
in
44:41
many
44:41
of
44:41
the
44:41
sports.
44:42
Part
44:42
of
44:42
it
44:42
is
44:43
that
44:43
what
44:43
you
44:43
talked
44:43
about
44:44
is,
44:44
you
44:44
know,
44:44
when,
44:45
when
44:45
we
44:45
all
44:46
grew
44:46
up,
44:46
you
44:46
were
44:46
riding
44:46
a
44:47
horse,
44:47
bear
44:47
your
44:47
horse
44:48
in
44:48
your
44:48
backyard,
44:48
bare
44:49
back
44:49
across
44:49
the
44:50
field
44:50
for
44:50
hours
44:51
every
44:51
day.
44:52
Now
44:52
they're
44:52
getting
44:52
dropped
44:53
off
44:53
for
44:53
an
44:53
hour
44:53
lesson
44:54
and
44:54
going
44:54
home.
44:54
They're
44:55
not
44:55
getting
44:55
that
44:55
time,
44:56
just
44:56
time
44:57
right
44:57
with
44:57
the
44:58
horse
44:58
in
44:58
the
44:58
saddle
44:58
that,
44:59
that
44:59
you
44:59
had
44:59
and
45:00
Karen
45:00
had
45:00
and
45:01
every,
45:01
you
45:01
know,
45:01
the
45:01
people
45:02
our
45:02
age
45:02
had.
45:03
I
45:03
think
45:03
that's
45:04
missing.
45:04
And
45:04
that
45:05
probably
45:05
wouldn't
45:05
hurt
45:06
endurance
45:06
more
45:06
than,
45:06
than
45:07
any
45:07
of
45:07
the
45:07
other
45:08
sports.
45:09
Yeah,
45:10
it's
45:10
a
45:10
bit
45:10
of
45:10
a
45:10
jump.
45:11
I
45:11
mean,
45:11
again,
45:12
though,
45:12
a
45:12
lot
45:13
of
45:13
these
45:13
riders
45:13
ride
45:14
their
45:14
horses,
45:14
but
45:15
they
45:15
don't
45:15
do
45:15
it
45:15
for
45:15
long
45:16
periods
45:16
of
45:16
time.
45:17
And
45:17
I
45:17
think
45:18
that
45:19
there's,
45:19
you
45:19
know,
45:20
there's
45:20
an
45:21
upside
45:21
to
45:21
riding
45:21
your
45:22
horse
45:22
for
45:22
a
45:22
long
45:22
period
45:22
of
45:22
time.
45:23
You
45:23
really
45:23
get
45:23
to
45:23
know
45:23
your
45:24
horse
45:24
and
45:25
the
45:25
Horse
45:25
gets
45:25
to
45:26
know
45:26
you
45:27
and
45:27
that's
45:27
a
45:27
really
45:28
great
45:28
partnership
45:28
to
45:29
cultivate.
45:30
But
45:31
doing
45:31
this
45:32
and
45:32
talking
45:33
about
45:33
doing
45:33
it
45:33
are
45:34
two
45:34
different
45:34
things.
45:34
So
45:35
I
45:35
think
45:35
what
45:35
we
45:35
need
45:36
to
45:36
do
45:36
as
45:36
an
45:37
organization
45:37
is
45:38
to
45:38
reach
45:38
out
45:38
to
45:38
these
45:39
young
45:39
riders
45:40
and
45:40
women
45:40
in
45:41
particular
45:41
because
45:42
they
45:43
make
45:43
up
45:43
the
45:43
majority
45:43
of
45:44
our
45:44
riders.
45:45
And
45:45
4h,
45:46
you
45:46
know,
45:47
future
45:47
farmers
45:47
of
45:47
America
45:48
in
45:49
the
45:49
various
45:49
equine
45:50
sports
45:50
in
45:51
the
45:51
arena.
45:51
You
45:52
know,
45:52
working
45:53
in
45:53
West
45:54
World,
45:54
sort
45:54
of
45:54
the
45:55
Arabian
45:55
horse
45:55
show
45:56
and
45:56
on
45:56
and
45:56
on
45:56
and
45:56
on.
45:57
Do
45:57
a
45:57
better
45:57
job
45:57
of
45:57
running
45:58
the
45:58
sport
45:59
so
45:59
people
45:59
can
46:00
get
46:00
involved
46:00
and
46:00
they,
46:01
you
46:01
know,
46:01
start
46:02
out
46:02
with
46:03
12
46:03
mile
46:03
introductory
46:04
rides
46:04
and
46:04
move
46:04
up
46:05
to
46:05
an
46:05
LD
46:06
and
46:06
they're
46:06
doing
46:06
25
46:07
miles
46:07
at
46:07
a
46:07
slow
46:07
pace
46:08
and
46:08
then
46:08
move
46:08
up
46:08
to
46:08
a
46:08
50.
46:09
And
46:09
over
46:10
time,
46:10
the
46:10
horse
46:10
and
46:10
the
46:11
rider
46:11
can
46:11
adjust
46:12
pretty
46:12
quickly
46:13
to
46:14
the
46:14
additional
46:15
time
46:15
in
46:15
the
46:15
saddle.
46:16
But
46:16
you
46:17
gotta
46:17
get
46:17
going.
46:18
And
46:18
so
46:18
I
46:18
think
46:19
that's
46:19
what
46:19
we
46:19
have
46:19
to
46:19
do
46:19
a
46:19
better
46:20
job
46:20
of
46:20
mentoring
46:20
our
46:21
potential
46:21
riders
46:22
and
46:23
reducing
46:23
the
46:23
sport.
46:24
That's
46:25
our,
46:25
that's
46:26
on
46:26
our
46:26
shoulders.
46:27
Right.
46:28
And
46:28
I
46:28
also
46:29
think
46:29
we
46:29
need
46:29
to
46:30
increase
46:30
our
46:30
social
46:31
media
46:31
presence
46:32
across
46:32
all
46:33
the
46:33
different
46:33
channels.
46:34
I
46:34
think
46:34
that's
46:35
area
46:36
where
46:36
we,
46:37
we
46:37
really
46:38
lack
46:38
right
46:38
now
46:39
that
46:39
we
46:39
can
46:40
improve
46:41
on
46:41
a
46:41
lot.
46:42
Endurance
46:43
in
46:43
Europe
46:44
is
46:44
still
46:44
going
46:44
strong
46:45
and
46:46
they're
46:46
maintaining
46:46
and
46:47
growing
46:47
their
46:47
numbers
46:48
and
46:48
we're,
46:49
our
46:50
numbers
46:50
are
46:51
lower
46:51
than
46:51
they
46:52
have
46:52
been
46:52
in
46:53
years
46:53
past,
46:54
but
46:54
they've
46:54
sort
46:54
of
46:55
stabilized
46:55
at
46:55
a
46:55
lower
46:56
level.
46:57
I
46:57
understand
46:57
from
46:58
talking
46:58
to
46:58
arc,
46:59
the
46:59
numbers
47:00
are
47:00
pretty
47:00
stable
47:01
at
47:01
this
47:01
current
47:01
level
47:02
for
47:02
a
47:03
couple
47:03
years
47:03
now.
47:03
They
47:03
haven't
47:04
dropped
47:04
dramatically
47:05
like
47:05
it
47:06
did
47:06
about
47:06
a
47:06
decade
47:06
ago
47:07
or
47:07
seven
47:07
years
47:08
ago.
47:09
So
47:09
I
47:09
think
47:09
that
47:10
there
47:11
are
47:11
ways
47:11
to
47:11
grow
47:11
the
47:12
sport
47:12
and
47:12
I
47:12
think,
47:13
you
47:13
know,
47:13
people
47:13
are
47:14
excited
47:14
to
47:14
be
47:14
involved
47:15
in
47:15
the
47:15
sport
47:15
and
47:16
again,
47:16
I
47:16
think
47:16
it's
47:16
a
47:16
great
47:17
sport
47:17
for
47:17
horses
47:18
and
47:18
riders
47:19
as
47:19
a
47:19
second
47:20
discipline.
47:21
And
47:22
a
47:22
lot
47:22
of
47:22
times
47:22
you
47:22
want
47:22
to
47:22
take
47:23
a
47:23
break
47:23
from
47:23
the
47:23
arena,
47:24
get
47:24
out
47:24
in
47:24
the
47:24
trail
47:25
and,
47:26
you
47:26
know,
47:26
come
47:27
to
47:27
enjoy
47:27
us.
47:28
You
47:28
know,
47:28
I
47:28
think
47:28
another
47:29
thing
47:29
that
47:29
we
47:29
can't
47:29
overlook
47:30
in
47:30
all
47:30
the
47:30
disciplines
47:31
is
47:31
cost.
47:32
I
47:32
mean,
47:32
the
47:32
cost,
47:33
you
47:33
know,
47:33
you
47:33
could,
47:33
you
47:33
go
47:33
to
47:34
a
47:34
three
47:34
day
47:34
event
47:34
now
47:35
and
47:35
you're
47:35
there,
47:36
it's
47:36
going
47:36
to
47:36
cost
47:36
you
47:37
fifteen
47:37
hundred
47:37
dollars
47:37
for
47:38
a
47:38
lower
47:38
level
47:38
event.
47:39
You
47:39
know,
47:39
a
47:39
thousand
47:39
to
47:39
fifteen
47:40
hundred.
47:41
We
47:42
can't
47:42
overlook
47:42
that
47:42
either,
47:43
I
47:43
guess.
47:44
Well,
47:44
you
47:45
know,
47:45
that's
47:45
interesting
47:45
you
47:45
bring
47:46
that
47:46
up
47:46
because
47:46
a
47:46
lot
47:46
of
47:47
the
47:47
arena
47:48
disciplines
47:49
are
47:49
very
47:50
expensive
47:50
to
47:50
participate
47:51
in.
47:51
You've
47:51
got
47:51
an
47:52
lq,
47:52
you
47:53
got
47:53
a
47:53
truck,
47:53
you
47:53
got
47:54
weekend,
47:54
they
47:54
force
47:54
you.
47:55
To
47:55
get
47:55
stalls,
47:56
you
47:56
know.
47:56
Yeah,
47:57
exactly.
47:58
And
47:59
where
48:00
with
48:00
our
48:00
sport,
48:01
it's
48:02
actually
48:02
on
48:02
a
48:02
par.
48:02
Probably
48:03
lower
48:03
cost
48:04
for
48:04
an
48:04
event
48:05
by
48:05
far,
48:06
you
48:06
know,
48:07
than
48:07
going
48:07
to,
48:08
you
48:08
know,
48:09
travel
48:09
to
48:09
an
48:09
arena
48:10
and
48:10
do
48:10
some
48:10
marine
48:11
work.
48:11
How
48:12
much
48:12
does
48:12
camping.
48:13
I'm
48:13
asking
48:13
this
48:13
through
48:13
the
48:14
both
48:14
of
48:14
you.
48:14
How
48:15
much
48:15
does
48:15
camping
48:15
scare
48:16
people
48:16
off
48:17
with
48:17
their
48:17
horses?
48:19
You
48:19
know,
48:19
if,
48:20
again,
48:20
if
48:20
we
48:21
do
48:21
a
48:21
good
48:21
job
48:21
of
48:22
mentoring
48:22
our
48:23
participants
48:24
and
48:24
bringing
48:24
them
48:25
in
48:25
properly
48:25
and
48:26
training
48:26
them,
48:26
our
48:26
club
48:27
has
48:27
workshops.
48:27
Like,
48:28
I'm
48:28
hosting
48:28
a
48:28
workshop
48:29
at
48:29
our
48:29
house
48:30
next
48:30
this
48:31
coming
48:31
weekend
48:31
for
48:32
confirmation
48:32
and
48:33
endurance
48:33
horses.
48:33
We'll
48:34
bring
48:34
a
48:34
couple
48:34
of
48:34
endurance
48:35
horses,
48:35
and
48:35
we
48:35
have
48:36
25
48:36
or
48:36
30
48:36
people
48:37
coming
48:37
to
48:37
the
48:38
workshop.
48:38
If
48:38
we
48:39
mentor
48:39
them
48:39
properly,
48:40
it's
48:40
not
48:40
a
48:40
scary
48:41
endeavor
48:41
at
48:41
all
48:43
because
48:43
we
48:44
have
48:44
techniques
48:44
and
48:44
tools
48:45
that
48:45
we
48:45
use
48:45
to
48:46
camp
48:46
with
48:46
that,
48:47
if
48:47
you
48:47
know
48:47
what
48:47
those
48:48
are.
48:48
It's
48:49
pretty,
48:49
pretty,
48:50
pretty
48:51
simple
48:51
and
48:52
not
48:52
scary
48:53
at
48:53
all.
48:53
But
48:54
you
48:54
need
48:54
to
48:54
be
48:55
mentored
48:55
or
48:56
trained
48:56
or
48:56
someone
48:57
needs
48:57
to
48:57
go
48:57
along
48:58
with
48:58
you
48:58
on
48:58
your
48:58
first
48:58
camping
48:59
out,
49:00
and
49:00
you
49:00
phase
49:01
it
49:01
in,
49:01
and
49:02
if
49:02
someone
49:02
explains
49:03
to
49:03
you
49:03
how
49:03
to
49:03
do
49:03
that,
49:04
then
49:05
it's
49:05
a
49:05
pretty.
49:06
It's
49:06
a
49:06
pretty
49:07
easy
49:08
transition
49:08
to
49:09
make.
49:10
Well,
49:10
Lucien,
49:11
let's
49:11
just
49:11
mention
49:12
your
49:12
book
49:13
and
49:14
your
49:14
adventure
49:15
when
49:15
you
49:15
rode
49:15
across
49:16
country.
49:16
Now,
49:17
had
49:17
you
49:17
ever
49:18
heard
49:18
about
49:18
the
49:19
sport
49:19
of
49:19
endurance
49:20
when
49:20
you
49:20
did
49:20
that
49:21
or
49:21
did
49:23
tell
49:23
us
49:23
why
49:24
you
49:24
were
49:24
inspired
49:25
to
49:25
do
49:25
that
49:25
ride?
49:27
So
49:28
I
49:28
grew
49:28
up
49:28
in.
49:29
I.
49:29
I
49:29
grew
49:30
up
49:30
in
49:30
Ohio
49:30
riding
49:31
horses,
49:31
but
49:31
I
49:32
moved
49:32
to
49:32
Arizona
49:33
and
49:33
in
49:34
1979
49:34
to
49:35
finish
49:35
my
49:36
Master's
49:37
and
49:37
PhD
49:38
and
49:39
I
49:40
ended
49:40
up
49:41
meeting
49:41
Daisy
49:42
Tankersley
49:42
from
49:42
Al
49:43
Marabians.
49:44
And
49:45
so
49:45
I
49:45
spent
49:45
a
49:45
lot
49:45
of
49:46
time
49:46
with
49:46
Basie
49:48
in
49:48
Tucson,
49:49
and
49:49
she
49:49
became
49:50
a
49:50
mentor
49:50
of
49:51
mine
49:51
through
49:51
the
49:51
80s
49:52
and
49:52
90s.
49:53
And
49:54
along
49:55
the
49:55
way,
49:55
I
49:56
had
49:56
mentioned
49:56
to
49:56
her
49:57
in
49:58
passing
49:58
that
49:58
I
49:58
had
49:59
an
49:59
interest
49:59
in
49:59
riding
50:00
my
50:00
horse
50:00
across
50:01
the
50:01
United
50:01
States
50:01
when
50:02
I
50:02
was
50:02
younger.
50:03
And
50:03
I
50:03
thought
50:04
a
50:04
great
50:04
idea
50:04
would
50:04
be
50:05
to
50:05
use
50:05
that
50:06
endeavor
50:07
to
50:07
introduce
50:08
people
50:08
to
50:09
the
50:09
plight
50:09
of
50:10
the
50:10
rainforest
50:11
in
50:11
South
50:11
America,
50:12
because
50:13
it's
50:14
an
50:14
environmental
50:15
disaster
50:16
in
50:16
South
50:16
America
50:17
and
50:17
it's
50:17
huge
50:18
problems.
50:18
Right?
50:21
And
50:21
so
50:22
I
50:22
thought
50:23
riding
50:23
a
50:23
beautiful
50:24
white
50:24
Arabian
50:25
horse
50:25
across
50:25
the
50:25
United
50:26
States,
50:26
I
50:26
could
50:26
introduce
50:27
that
50:27
issue
50:27
on
50:27
the
50:27
front
50:28
page
50:28
of
50:28
the
50:28
newspaper
50:29
in
50:29
these
50:30
various
50:30
communities,
50:30
you
50:31
know,
50:31
because
50:31
people
50:31
would
50:31
be
50:31
attracted
50:32
to
50:32
the
50:32
horse,
50:32
they'd
50:32
want
50:33
to
50:33
listen
50:33
to
50:33
the
50:33
story,
50:33
and
50:33
they'd
50:34
learn
50:34
about
50:34
the
50:34
rainforest
50:35
and
50:35
on
50:36
and
50:36
on
50:36
and
50:36
on.
50:36
So
50:36
it
50:37
became
50:37
kind
50:38
of
50:38
an
50:38
interesting
50:39
subject
50:39
for
50:39
Basie
50:40
and
50:40
I
50:40
to
50:40
discuss.
50:41
And
50:41
eventually
50:42
I
50:42
told
50:42
her
50:42
I
50:42
really
50:43
wanted
50:43
to
50:43
do
50:43
it.
50:43
And
50:43
so
50:44
she
50:44
said
50:44
she'd
50:44
sponsor
50:45
me
50:45
with
50:46
Mrs.
50:46
Hearst
50:47
and
50:48
Julie
50:48
Wrigley
50:49
and
50:51
Knight
50:51
Ritter
50:52
papers.
50:52
And
50:52
so
50:53
we
50:53
decided
50:53
to
50:53
do
50:53
the
50:54
ride
50:54
and
50:54
it
50:54
was
50:55
pretty
50:55
successful.
50:55
We
50:55
raised
50:56
a
50:56
lot
50:56
of
50:56
money.
50:57
Rode
50:57
3000
50:58
miles
50:58
and
50:59
150
50:59
days,
51:00
20
51:00
miles
51:00
a
51:01
day
51:01
on
51:02
average,
51:02
using
51:03
three
51:03
Al
51:04
Mar
51:04
horses.
51:04
First
51:05
horse,
51:05
Sweet
51:06
William,
51:06
went
51:07
from
51:07
LA
51:07
to
51:08
Oklahoma,
51:08
1800
51:09
miles.
51:10
We
51:10
were
51:10
probably
51:11
the
51:11
first
51:12
real
51:13
endurance
51:14
effort
51:14
to
51:14
use
51:14
Easy
51:15
boots.
51:16
And
51:17
EasyCare
51:17
was
51:18
owned
51:18
at
51:18
the
51:18
time
51:18
by
51:19
the
51:19
inventor
51:20
Neil
51:20
Glass,
51:21
who
51:22
came
51:22
out
51:22
and
51:22
said
51:23
the
51:23
horse
51:23
for
51:23
boots
51:24
up
51:24
in
51:24
Flagstaff.
51:25
After
51:25
traveling
51:26
from
51:27
LA
51:27
to
51:27
Flagstaff
51:28
and
51:28
going
51:28
through
51:28
three
51:29
sets
51:29
of
51:29
steel
51:29
shoes,
51:30
it
51:30
wasn't
51:30
working.
51:30
So
51:31
we
51:31
had
51:31
to
51:31
shift
51:33
and
51:34
rode
51:34
on
51:34
easy
51:34
boots
51:35
all
51:35
the
51:35
way
51:35
to
51:35
Oklahoma.
51:36
Learned
51:36
a
51:37
lot
51:37
about
51:37
easy
51:37
boots
51:37
and
51:38
how
51:38
to
51:38
use
51:38
them
51:39
properly.
51:40
And
51:40
that
51:40
was
51:40
helpful
51:41
for
51:41
Neil
51:41
as
51:42
the
51:42
inventor
51:42
because
51:43
no
51:43
one
51:43
had
51:43
worn
51:43
them
51:44
for
51:44
that
51:44
long
51:44
a
51:44
period
51:44
of
51:45
time.
51:46
And
51:46
so
51:47
it
51:47
was
51:47
a
51:47
great
51:47
experience.
51:48
And
51:49
we
51:49
used
51:49
it,
51:49
or
51:49
I
51:50
used
51:50
it
51:50
as
51:50
a
51:50
way
51:50
to
51:51
bring
51:51
attention
51:51
to
51:51
that
51:52
issue,
51:53
the
51:53
rainforest
51:54
issue,
51:54
and
51:54
worked
51:54
with
51:54
the
51:55
Rainforest
51:55
Action
51:56
Network.
51:57
We
51:57
were
51:57
on
51:58
the
51:58
front
51:58
page
51:58
of
51:58
100
51:59
newspapers,
52:00
CNN,
52:01
Good
52:01
Morning
52:02
America.
52:03
Yeah,
52:03
we
52:03
had
52:03
a
52:03
lot
52:04
of
52:04
actors
52:04
and
52:04
actresses
52:05
involved
52:05
like
52:06
Ted
52:06
Danson
52:07
and
52:07
Sylvester
52:07
Stallone
52:08
and
52:08
Michael
52:08
Landon
52:09
before
52:09
he
52:09
passed
52:10
away.
52:10
So
52:10
we
52:11
had
52:11
brought
52:11
a
52:11
lot
52:11
of
52:11
attention
52:12
to
52:12
the
52:12
issue
52:13
and
52:13
raised
52:13
some
52:13
money.
52:14
And,
52:14
and
52:16
so
52:16
I
52:16
thought,
52:16
you
52:17
know,
52:17
three
52:18
white,
52:19
you
52:19
know,
52:20
gray.
52:20
Well,
52:20
white.
52:21
Everyone
52:21
thinks
52:21
they're
52:21
white
52:22
because
52:22
they
52:22
don't
52:22
know
52:22
horses,
52:23
but,
52:24
you
52:24
know,
52:24
white
52:24
Arabians
52:25
on
52:25
the
52:25
front
52:25
page
52:25
of
52:26
the
52:26
paper
52:26
in,
52:27
you
52:27
know,
52:27
Missouri,
52:28
people
52:28
are
52:28
wondering
52:29
what
52:29
you're,
52:29
what
52:29
you're
52:30
doing
52:30
here.
52:30
So
52:30
it
52:30
was
52:31
a
52:31
great
52:31
way
52:31
to
52:32
promote
52:33
the
52:33
issue.
52:35
You
52:35
know,
52:35
people
52:35
who
52:36
do
52:36
these
52:36
long
52:37
distance
52:37
things,
52:38
you
52:38
know,
52:38
and
52:38
have
52:39
these
52:39
great
52:39
adventures,
52:39
whether,
52:40
whether
52:40
it's,
52:40
you
52:40
know,
52:40
hiking
52:41
one
52:41
of
52:41
the
52:41
long
52:42
trails
52:42
or
52:43
they
52:43
all
52:43
say
52:43
the
52:44
same
52:44
thing
52:44
when
52:44
they're
52:45
interviewed.
52:45
And
52:45
I
52:45
want
52:45
to
52:45
ask
52:46
you
52:46
that
52:46
question.
52:47
They
52:48
all
52:48
come
52:48
back
52:49
to
52:49
the
52:49
people
52:49
they
52:49
met
52:50
and
52:50
the
52:50
people
52:50
they
52:51
saw
52:51
along
52:51
the
52:51
way
52:52
was
52:52
the
52:52
highlight
52:52
for
52:53
them.
52:53
Was
52:53
that
52:53
true
52:53
for
52:54
you?
52:54
Oh,
52:55
yes.
52:55
You
52:55
know,
52:56
I
52:56
wrote
52:56
that
52:56
book
52:56
as
52:56
a
52:57
thank
52:57
you
52:57
to
52:57
all
52:57
the
52:57
people
52:58
who
52:58
helped
52:58
us.
52:58
You
52:59
know,
52:59
the
52:59
book,
53:00
the
53:00
Long
53:01
Ride
53:01
is,
53:02
you
53:02
know,
53:02
just
53:03
a
53:03
chronology
53:03
of
53:03
our
53:04
ride
53:04
across
53:04
the
53:05
United
53:05
States,
53:05
but
53:05
it's
53:05
really
53:05
about
53:06
the
53:06
people
53:06
we
53:06
met
53:06
along
53:07
the
53:07
way.
53:08
You
53:08
know,
53:08
you
53:08
can
53:08
get
53:08
a
53:08
lot
53:09
of
53:09
things
53:09
done
53:09
if
53:09
you
53:09
have
53:10
people
53:10
around
53:10
you.
53:11
If
53:11
you
53:11
don't
53:11
have
53:11
people
53:11
around
53:12
you,
53:12
it's
53:12
difficult
53:12
to
53:12
get
53:12
things
53:13
done.
53:13
So,
53:13
you
53:13
know,
53:14
it's
53:14
an
53:14
important
53:15
piece
53:15
of
53:15
the
53:15
puzzle
53:16
if
53:16
you
53:16
want
53:16
to
53:16
get
53:16
something
53:17
accomplished.
53:18
You
53:18
know,
53:18
they
53:18
say
53:19
travel
53:19
with
53:20
people.
53:20
You
53:20
know,
53:21
if
53:21
you
53:21
want
53:21
to
53:21
go
53:21
Somewhere,
53:23
a
53:23
long
53:23
way
53:23
off,
53:24
you
53:24
know,
53:25
go
53:25
with
53:25
people.
53:26
So
53:29
that
53:29
was
53:29
a
53:29
great,
53:30
great
53:30
opportunity
53:31
for
53:31
me
53:31
and
53:31
I
53:32
met
53:32
a
53:32
lot
53:33
of
53:33
people
53:33
during
53:33
that
53:33
time
53:34
and
53:34
they
53:34
all
53:34
were
53:34
very
53:35
helpful
53:35
all
53:36
the
53:36
way
53:36
across
53:37
America,
53:37
from
53:38
LA
53:38
to
53:39
East
53:39
Coast.
53:40
Is
53:40
the
53:40
Long
53:40
Ride
53:40
still
53:41
available?
53:42
Yeah,
53:42
you
53:42
can
53:43
buy
53:43
it
53:43
on
53:43
Amazon
53:44
and
53:46
they
53:46
still
53:46
sell
53:47
it
53:47
on
53:47
Amazon.
53:47
I
53:47
don't
53:48
think
53:49
they
53:49
went
53:49
through
53:49
the
53:50
first
53:50
couple
53:50
of
53:50
printings.
53:51
It
53:51
was
53:52
for
53:52
about
53:53
a
53:53
year
53:53
and
53:53
a
53:53
half,
53:54
Amazon's
53:55
number
53:55
one
53:56
best
53:56
seller
53:56
in
53:57
that
53:57
particular
53:58
genre.
53:58
That
53:59
very
53:59
narrow
54:00
tail
54:01
of
54:02
long
54:02
rides
54:03
and
54:03
that
54:03
sort
54:03
of
54:04
thing.
54:04
And.
54:05
But
54:05
I
54:05
don't
54:05
know,
54:06
there's.
54:06
They
54:06
aren't
54:07
printing
54:07
them
54:07
anymore.
54:07
So
54:08
I
54:08
think
54:08
you
54:08
can
54:08
buy
54:08
new
54:09
and
54:09
used
54:09
copies
54:09
on
54:09
Amazon
54:10
still.
54:11
Okay,
54:11
very
54:11
good.
54:12
Well,
54:12
I'll
54:12
put
54:12
a
54:12
link
54:12
to
54:12
that
54:12
in
54:13
the
54:13
show
54:13
notes
54:13
as
54:13
well.
54:14
Before
54:14
we
54:14
let
54:14
you
54:14
go
54:15
though,
54:15
I
54:15
got
54:15
to
54:15
talk
54:15
to
54:15
you
54:15
about
54:16
some
54:16
of
54:16
the
54:16
other
54:17
weird
54:17
and
54:17
wild
54:18
things
54:18
you've
54:18
done
54:18
over
54:18
the
54:19
years.
54:19
In
54:20
1982,
54:21
you
54:21
organized
54:22
some
54:22
scuba
54:22
divers
54:23
to
54:23
set
54:23
the
54:23
Guinness
54:24
World
54:24
Record
54:25
for
54:25
the
54:25
time
54:25
and
54:25
distance
54:26
in
54:26
underwater
54:27
biking.
54:28
First
54:28
of
54:28
all,
54:28
what
54:28
is
54:29
underwater
54:29
biking?
54:30
Let's
54:30
start
54:30
there.
54:31
So.
54:32
So
54:32
I
54:32
was
54:32
a
54:33
scuba
54:33
instructor
54:34
in
54:34
the
54:34
1980s,
54:34
a
54:35
patty
54:35
scuba
54:35
instructor
54:36
in
54:36
the
54:37
1980s.
54:37
And
54:37
we
54:37
did
54:37
a
54:38
lot
54:38
of
54:39
kayaking
54:39
and,
54:40
you
54:40
know,
54:40
expeditions
54:41
all
54:41
around
54:42
Central
54:42
America
54:43
and,
54:43
you
54:43
know,
54:44
and
54:45
South
54:45
America,
54:46
Rios
54:46
and
54:46
the
54:46
center
54:47
river
54:47
and,
54:47
you
54:48
know,
54:48
all
54:48
kinds
54:48
of
54:48
crazy
54:49
things.
54:49
But
54:49
anyway,
54:50
we
54:51
had
54:51
a
54:51
group
54:51
of
54:51
guys
54:52
who
54:53
we're
54:53
doing.
54:53
We
54:54
did
54:54
some
54:54
mountain
54:54
climbing
54:55
and
54:55
did
54:56
the
54:56
scuba
54:56
diving
54:57
and
54:57
Mount
54:57
Orizaba
54:58
and
54:58
all
54:58
that.
54:59
And
55:00
we
55:00
wanted
55:00
to
55:00
do
55:01
something
55:01
and
55:01
set
55:01
a
55:01
couple
55:02
world
55:02
records.
55:02
So
55:03
I
55:03
came
55:03
up
55:03
with
55:03
the
55:03
idea
55:04
of
55:04
doing
55:04
an
55:04
underwater
55:05
bicycle
55:06
ride
55:07
for
55:08
the
55:08
longest
55:09
time
55:09
underwater
55:10
continuously,
55:12
64
55:12
miles
55:13
and
55:13
60
55:14
hours
55:14
in
55:15
a
55:15
swimming
55:15
pool
55:15
in
55:15
Tucson
55:16
Acres
55:16
in
55:17
a
55:17
swimming
55:17
pool.
55:18
And
55:19
oh
55:19
gosh,
55:21
I
55:21
was
55:21
the
55:21
rider
55:22
and
55:22
rode
55:23
for
55:23
60
55:24
hours
55:24
straight
55:25
underwater.
55:26
And
55:26
they
55:27
dropped
55:27
tanks
55:27
down
55:28
to
55:28
us
55:28
down
55:28
then.
55:29
But
55:29
you're
55:29
an
55:30
Olympic
55:30
sized
55:30
swimming
55:30
pool
55:31
and
55:32
you
55:32
can
55:32
only
55:33
travel
55:33
at
55:33
about
55:33
a
55:34
mile
55:34
an
55:34
hour.
55:34
I
55:35
was
55:35
going
55:35
to
55:35
say
55:35
it
55:35
would
55:35
be
55:36
really
55:36
slow.
55:37
Yeah,
55:38
very
55:38
slow.
55:38
And
55:39
travel
55:39
downhill
55:40
to
55:40
the
55:40
center
55:41
of
55:41
the
55:41
pool
55:41
very
55:42
quickly
55:42
and
55:42
you
55:42
travel
55:43
uphill,
55:44
you
55:44
know,
55:44
to
55:44
the
55:44
other
55:45
side
55:45
very
55:45
slowly.
55:46
So
55:46
it's
55:46
this
55:47
continuous
55:47
around
55:48
and
55:48
around
55:48
and
55:48
around
55:49
in
55:49
circles.
55:50
And
55:51
it
55:51
was
55:52
great.
55:53
We
55:53
broke
55:53
an
55:54
axle,
55:54
fell
55:54
into
55:55
the,
55:55
you
55:55
know,
55:55
fell
55:56
asleep
55:56
in
55:57
pool
55:57
and
55:57
went
55:57
into
55:58
diving.
55:58
Well,
55:59
and
55:59
all
55:59
kinds
55:59
of
56:00
stuff.
56:00
But
56:00
we
56:00
were
56:01
able
56:01
to
56:02
get
56:02
that
56:03
and
56:03
that
56:03
record
56:04
held
56:04
for
56:04
about
56:05
15
56:05
or
56:06
20
56:06
years.
56:06
And
56:07
then
56:07
a
56:07
group
56:07
in
56:08
Australia,
56:09
not
56:09
a
56:09
group,
56:10
a
56:10
guy
56:10
in
56:10
Australia
56:11
basically
56:12
copied
56:12
our
56:13
effort
56:13
and
56:13
he
56:14
think.
56:14
I
56:14
think
56:14
he
56:14
did.
56:15
He
56:16
beat
56:16
us
56:16
by
56:16
an
56:16
hour
56:17
or
56:17
two.
56:20
You've
56:21
done
56:21
some
56:21
fascinating
56:22
things.
56:22
You
56:22
really
56:23
have.
56:23
Well,
56:24
you
56:24
know,
56:24
and
56:24
I
56:25
wish
56:25
that,
56:26
I
56:26
wish
56:26
that,
56:27
I
56:28
wish
56:28
that
56:28
you
56:28
did.
56:28
We
56:29
didn't
56:29
have
56:29
to
56:29
talk
56:29
about
56:29
the
56:29
rainforest
56:30
anymore
56:30
and
56:30
that
56:30
your
56:31
efforts
56:31
had
56:31
been
56:31
totally
56:32
successful.
56:32
But
56:33
obviously
56:33
that's
56:33
not
56:34
true.
56:34
And
56:35
it's
56:36
something
56:36
that's
56:36
still
56:37
a
56:37
battle
56:37
to
56:37
today.
56:38
Struggle
56:39
continues.
56:39
Yep.
56:40
Yep.
56:41
Well,
56:41
thank
56:42
you.
56:42
You
56:42
know,
56:42
and
56:42
the
56:42
battle
56:43
also
56:43
continues
56:43
to
56:43
get
56:44
more
56:44
people
56:44
into
56:44
an
56:44
endurance.
56:45
And
56:45
thank
56:45
you
56:45
for
56:46
writing
56:46
the
56:46
article
56:46
and
56:46
for
56:47
doing
56:47
all
56:47
of
56:47
that.
56:47
We'll
56:48
put
56:48
a
56:48
link
56:48
to
56:48
your
56:49
website
56:50
in
56:50
the
56:50
show
56:50
notes
56:50
and
56:51
also
56:51
the
56:51
book
56:51
you,
56:52
I
56:52
did
56:52
check
56:52
and
56:53
you
56:53
can
56:53
still
56:53
get
56:53
it.
56:53
There
56:54
are
56:54
some
56:54
used
56:54
copies
56:54
and
56:55
stuff
56:55
like
56:55
that
56:55
available
56:56
as
56:56
well.
56:56
So
56:57
thanks
56:57
for
56:57
joining
56:57
us.
56:58
Solution.
56:58
Appreciate
56:58
it.
56:59
Yes.
57:00
Thank
57:00
you.
57:01
Anyone
57:02
has
57:02
any
57:02
questions,
57:02
they
57:03
can
57:03
contact
57:03
me
57:04
the
57:05
email
57:05
address
57:06
on
57:06
their
57:06
phone
57:06
number.
57:07
We
57:07
can
57:07
bring
57:07
them
57:08
into
57:08
a
57:08
workshop.
57:09
But
57:09
again,
57:10
all
57:10
across
57:10
the
57:11
country,
57:11
all
57:11
of
57:12
the
57:12
ride
57:12
managers
57:13
in
57:13
all
57:13
of
57:13
the
57:13
regions
57:14
have
57:15
a
57:15
green
57:15
bean
57:15
program
57:16
and
57:16
they're
57:16
in
57:17
an
57:17
effort
57:17
to
57:18
attract
57:18
new
57:18
riders,
57:19
all
57:19
reaching
57:19
out.
57:20
So
57:20
it's
57:20
pretty
57:21
easy
57:21
to
57:22
connect
57:22
up
57:22
with
57:23
the
57:23
organization
57:24
and
57:24
the
57:24
riders
57:25
to
57:25
get
57:26
into
57:26
the
57:27
system
57:27
and
57:27
begin
57:28
doing
57:28
rides.
57:29
So
57:29
if
57:29
people
57:30
are
57:30
looking
57:30
for
57:30
rides,
57:30
I
57:31
realize
57:31
we're
57:31
coming
57:31
into
57:31
the
57:32
winter
57:32
season,
57:32
actually
57:32
the
57:33
rides
57:33
will
57:33
be
57:33
moving
57:33
down
57:34
my
57:34
direction
57:34
here
57:34
in
57:34
the
57:34
next
57:35
month
57:35
or
57:35
two
57:35
to
57:36
and
57:36
in
57:36
Florida
57:37
and
57:37
in
57:37
the
57:37
south.
57:38
So
57:38
if
57:38
people
57:39
are
57:39
looking
57:39
for
57:39
rides,
57:39
where
57:40
do
57:40
they
57:40
go?
57:41
Go
57:41
to
57:41
aarc.org
57:42
and
57:42
look
57:43
up
57:43
the
57:43
right
57:43
calendar.
57:44
Very
57:44
good.
57:45
And
57:45
you
57:45
can
57:45
find
57:46
links
57:46
to
57:46
today's
57:46
