- 0:00Speaker 1: So California is a very, very crazy state. Now, before
- 0:05Speaker 1: I get into what California is doing and the interesting
- 0:10Speaker 1: Bruce Jenner Caitlin Jenner's story that may totally change that
- 0:15Speaker 1: state in a very weird way, and the transgender issue,
- 0:19Speaker 1: I want to ask you for help very quickly. We've
- 0:21Speaker 1: been kicked off of Facebook and we need your help
- 0:24Speaker 1: promoting this podcast. So if you're listening right now, please
- 0:28Speaker 1: do two things. Tell your family and friends about it,
- 0:30Speaker 1: Share this podcast on social media, and write us a review.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Right now. Wherever you're listening to this podcast, many on
- 0:37Speaker 1: the left are coming after the show. We've already been
- 0:39Speaker 1: shut down by Facebook, so we ask for your help.
- 0:41Speaker 1: So that being said, I mean it sincerely. Thank you.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Now back to California. You'll look at California and you
- 0:48Speaker 1: know it's a socialist state, communist state. You know, people
- 0:52Speaker 1: are leaving California left and right, and then you see
- 0:54Speaker 1: glimpses of hope. You see the people in California that
- 0:57Speaker 1: have been so put out, sick and tired of the
- 1:00Speaker 1: extreme lockdowns of a tyrtical government at the hands of
- 1:04Speaker 1: Gavin Newsom who doesn't even play by his own rules,
- 1:07Speaker 1: that they've actually gotten two million signatures to get rid
- 1:12Speaker 1: of Gavin Newsom, to recall him. Now, this is amazing.
- 1:16Speaker 1: If you think about Gavin Newsom, you think about how
- 1:20Speaker 1: far we've come. You know, this is a guy that
- 1:21Speaker 1: banned indoor dining and then went and what did he do?
- 1:24Speaker 1: He indoor dine. Right, that's what he does. That's Gavin
- 1:26Speaker 1: Newsom for you. Gavin Newsom is the definition of a hypocrite.
- 1:34Speaker 1: I tell you what you can and cannot do, well,
- 1:38Speaker 1: I do whatever the hell I want to do. Same
- 1:41Speaker 1: thing with Nancy Pelosi. Right, you can't go get your haircut.
- 1:44Speaker 1: You got to shut down salons because of COVID, But
- 1:46Speaker 1: I can go get my haircut, and then she tries
- 1:48Speaker 1: to blame other people for her decision. Another example of
- 1:52Speaker 1: the insanity of California. We're talking about extreme taxes, constantly
- 1:57Speaker 1: attacking people. Go look at the tax they have in
- 1:59Speaker 1: local media pauties. We'll get the tax they have when
- 2:02Speaker 1: you land just to get a rental car. We'll get
- 2:05Speaker 1: the taxes to go vacation in California through the roof.
- 2:08Speaker 1: I mean, the tax dollars are unbelievable. The tax dollars
- 2:15Speaker 1: are just insane. So I say all this to then
- 2:21Speaker 1: talk about this recall. It is amazing. They've reached the
- 2:23Speaker 1: number of signatures surpassed it to recall Gavin Newsom, which
- 2:27Speaker 1: is amazing. We needed a recall. We needed the fear
- 2:33Speaker 1: to be put in these politicians that when you go
- 2:36Speaker 1: too far in taking away people's rights, that we will
- 2:40Speaker 1: fight back. We will fight back on you. We're not
- 2:43Speaker 1: just going to let you do it and get away
- 2:45Speaker 1: with it, right, We're not going to just let you
- 2:48Speaker 1: think that you can just do whatever the heck you
- 2:50Speaker 1: want to do and just totally get away with it.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Gavin Newsom has got a real battle now. Now there's
- 2:57Speaker 1: another issue in this country that's brewing, and we are
- 3:00Speaker 1: going to have a state representative on a little bit
- 3:05Speaker 1: later from Boise Area and Idaho, who was the first
- 3:11Speaker 1: state in America to ban men from playing in women's sports.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Other states, more than two dozen other states have joined
- 3:20Speaker 1: in doing the exact same thing to protect women's sports.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Because feminists and the liberal feminists left have been too
- 3:28Speaker 1: afraid to stand up for their own sports, which is
- 3:30Speaker 1: also crazy. You would think they would stand up, you
- 3:35Speaker 1: would think they would say no. Now some liberals have
- 3:39Speaker 1: Martina Avatalova, for example, is a Hall of Fame tennis player.
- 3:43Speaker 1: She has amazing records that she has broken and has
- 3:48Speaker 1: in tennis. She's been kicked off LGBTQ boards because she
- 3:52Speaker 1: refused to go insane woke. She understood that men should
- 3:56Speaker 1: not be able to compete with women in sports. It's unfair.
- 4:01Speaker 1: It's totally, incompletely unfair, and everybody knows it's unfair, right everybody.
- 4:08Speaker 1: I mean, you don't have to be that's smart to
- 4:12Speaker 1: understand that it's completely unfair. You have to be stupid
- 4:20Speaker 1: to believe that it's fair. It's not fair. Look at
- 4:24Speaker 1: how quickly men who play in women's sports immediately rise
- 4:29Speaker 1: to the top and win titles. Track and field is
- 4:31Speaker 1: a great example of this. We have seen in track
- 4:34Speaker 1: and field unbelievable numbers. I mean, the track and field
- 4:39Speaker 1: numbers have been through the roof with how many how
- 4:43Speaker 1: many titles have been taken away from women at the
- 4:45Speaker 1: hands of men acting like women because the woke left
- 4:49Speaker 1: and the feminist left have been too ignorant, they've been
- 4:53Speaker 1: too dumb to stop it, and they don't think about
- 4:56Speaker 1: what's about to happen. This week, you have a candidate
- 5:03Speaker 1: in the Republican Party. Bruce Jenner, that's the guy that's
- 5:08Speaker 1: now acting like a chick. Bruce. One should call him
- 5:13Speaker 1: Caitlin who's running as a Republican in California for governor
- 5:17Speaker 1: against Gavin Newsom. And there are some people that have said, oh,
- 5:19Speaker 1: this is nothing but a publicity stunt. Let me be clear,
- 5:22Speaker 1: this may actually work in California, because California is so
- 5:25Speaker 1: screwed up anyway, it might actually work. But even Caitlyn Jenner,
- 5:30Speaker 1: who's a guy that won a gold medal, let's let's
- 5:33Speaker 1: really dive into the history of Bruce Jenner so you
- 5:37Speaker 1: understand his perspective, because the perspective that we should all
- 5:41Speaker 1: look at. This is a guy that was a world
- 5:47Speaker 1: class athlete, literally, a world class athlete. He won the
- 5:51Speaker 1: gold medal in the decathalon at the nineteen seventy six
- 5:55Speaker 1: Olympic Games. He was on the front of the wheati's box. Right,
- 5:58Speaker 1: this is a world class athlete. Jenner is a dude
- 6:03Speaker 1: dressing like a girl. I'm not saying that in a
- 6:04Speaker 1: mean way. I'm not trying to be evil, I'm not
- 6:06Speaker 1: trying to be condescending. I'm just setting a fact. It's
- 6:09Speaker 1: a guy who won a gold medal as a guy,
- 6:12Speaker 1: as a dude, Okay, as a dude, as a dude
- 6:24Speaker 1: who was asked a question by TMZ. I think it
- 6:27Speaker 1: was today while getting coffee about the transgendered issue, and
- 6:32Speaker 1: I want you to hear what he had to say,
- 6:35Speaker 1: h Klin. So there's legislation in various states to ban
- 6:39Speaker 1: biological boys were trans from playing girls sports in school.
- 6:42Speaker 1: What's your opinion on that question of fairness? That's why
- 6:50Speaker 1: I oppose biological boys who were trans competing in girls
- 6:55Speaker 1: sports in school. It just isn't fair, and we have
- 7:01Speaker 1: to protect girl sports out But but if someone transitions
- 7:05Speaker 1: and now identifies as a girl, isn't it delegitimizing their
- 7:07Speaker 1: identity to prevent today? I love, by the way, how
- 7:11Speaker 1: he didn't even put up with the premise of the
- 7:12Speaker 1: question because he gets it right. He totally understands it.
- 7:19Speaker 1: He understands that he is superior physically to women, even
- 7:23Speaker 1: though he's acting like a woman. He's not an idiot.
- 7:27Speaker 1: He totally understands what's happening here. What general is willing
- 7:37Speaker 1: to say that even those in the left are not
- 7:39Speaker 1: willing to say, is there is a line with women's
- 7:44Speaker 1: sports that you don't cross. You should protect them because
- 7:48Speaker 1: they are not superior to men. Men are superior physically
- 7:50Speaker 1: to women. That shouldn't be a politically incorrect statement. By
- 7:55Speaker 1: the way. By the way, women are superior to men
- 7:57Speaker 1: and a lot of things. One of them is only
- 8:01Speaker 1: women can have children. They're superior to men. Men cannot
- 8:05Speaker 1: have children. Bruce Jenner acting like Katon Jenner cannot carry
- 8:09Speaker 1: a child. No man can carry a child. God figured
- 8:16Speaker 1: this out a long time ago, that men would have
- 8:19Speaker 1: certain attributes and things that they would have testosterom, and
- 8:25Speaker 1: women would have certain astributes that they would have. Men
- 8:30Speaker 1: would have certain things they are good at, and women
- 8:32Speaker 1: would have certain things that they're good at. There is
- 8:39Speaker 1: a difference. There is a difference between the two, and
- 8:44Speaker 1: that is not politically incorrect, it's actually scientifically accurate. You
- 8:53Speaker 1: can dress up like whatever you want to. I've been
- 8:55Speaker 1: Superman doesn't mean I can fly. And that's what I
- 8:58Speaker 1: equate people that deal with trying to convince me that
- 9:01Speaker 1: they're the opposite sex of what they were actually born. Okay,
- 9:05Speaker 1: I can say that I'm Superman, I can dress up
- 9:07Speaker 1: a superman, doesn't mean I can fly. I can look
- 9:11Speaker 1: at you in the eyes and I can tell you
- 9:12Speaker 1: I am Superman, or I am Batman, or I am whatever.
- 9:15Speaker 1: It doesn't mean that it's true. It doesn't mean that
- 9:17Speaker 1: I can shoot a web out of my wrist. You can,
- 9:21Speaker 1: as a dude, dress up like a chick and you
- 9:23Speaker 1: can look at me and you can tell me and
- 9:25Speaker 1: you can believe that your chick. It doesn't mean you're
- 9:27Speaker 1: a chick. Jenner understands there's an opportunity here to be
- 9:34Speaker 1: intellectually honest about the difference between men and women, even
- 9:39Speaker 1: as he's acting like he's a woman. I gotta give
- 9:42Speaker 1: a little credit to Jenner for this. He understands it
- 9:48Speaker 1: just isn't fair transgender girls, meaning a guy shouldn't get
- 9:52Speaker 1: to participating girls sports. Now, the woke left crowd is
- 9:56Speaker 1: just they're totally freaking out about this, and I encourage
- 10:04Speaker 1: there to be some sort of rebellion and that people
- 10:09Speaker 1: need to take advantage of this wokeness. I've been saying
- 10:13Speaker 1: this for a long time. I hope there's some tennis
- 10:15Speaker 1: players out there. I hope there's some golfers out there
- 10:18Speaker 1: that are dudes that can't make it on the men's
- 10:21Speaker 1: pro tour that will say, no problem, I'm going to
- 10:25Speaker 1: identify as a woman and I'm going to play women's sports.
- 10:29Speaker 1: I go. I hope it happens. And the reason why
- 10:33Speaker 1: I hope it happens is because they're gonna make a
- 10:36Speaker 1: bunch of money while there's a bunch of lawsuits that
- 10:38Speaker 1: are drug out. Good take advantage of this situation and
- 10:46Speaker 1: make yourself some money. Force feminists to stand up and
- 10:50Speaker 1: say stop ruining and taking away our trophies and our money.
- 10:56Speaker 1: You know, I'd love for a bunch of guys to
- 10:58Speaker 1: start playing the w NBA. I really would. I've loved
- 11:03Speaker 1: for a bunch of guys to take over softball. Just
- 11:05Speaker 1: one team in America on the college or high school level.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Just take it over. Get a bunch of your friends,
- 11:10Speaker 1: take over the women's basketball team and go win a
- 11:13Speaker 1: state title to prove the point, and force the adults
- 11:19Speaker 1: and are acting like children to actually for a moment,
- 11:22Speaker 1: act like an adult. That's what I want to happen.
- 11:30Speaker 1: It needs to happen. There needs to be a bunch
- 11:33Speaker 1: of guys that can't make the team. They go, okay,
- 11:36Speaker 1: can't make the team, hold my beer. Watch this. We're
- 11:40Speaker 1: all gonna take over a sport. We're gonna laugh in
- 11:42Speaker 1: your face, and we're gonna exploit your ignorance. And do
- 11:48Speaker 1: it in a liberal state like California, do it in
- 11:51Speaker 1: a public school system that's like hardcore indoctrinating of children
- 11:57Speaker 1: on these types of issues, on trans gender issues, and
- 12:01Speaker 1: just go all in, just flat out on it. Say
- 12:10Speaker 1: watch this. You want to see something special, You're about
- 12:14Speaker 1: to see something real special. You're the one that made
- 12:18Speaker 1: this up. You're the one that did this. You want
- 12:21Speaker 1: to go, Let's go and drag it out and make
- 12:27Speaker 1: it hurt. Make it so painful that the left cannot
- 12:31Speaker 1: recover from it, that they can't justify their ignorance, they
- 12:37Speaker 1: can't justify their incompetence. That's what needs to happen. Make
- 12:44Speaker 1: it so bad that there's no way that you can
- 12:49Speaker 1: defend what you did in decimating and allowing it to happen.
- 12:55Speaker 1: You know, women's sports already underttack. Many track and field
- 12:58Speaker 1: stars and women's sports have already talked about how they've
- 13:00Speaker 1: lost it all right. They lost scholarships, they lost opportunities
- 13:03Speaker 1: to win championships, they lost opportunities to succeed because there
- 13:12Speaker 1: was one transgendered person that came in and took it
- 13:15Speaker 1: all away, one all the state titles, was number one
- 13:19Speaker 1: on the podium at the events. Who knows what they
- 13:23Speaker 1: could have accomplished, what records they could have been broken,
- 13:25Speaker 1: that were just decimated by men acting like they are women.
- 13:30Speaker 1: What needs to happen on a different level in team sports?
- 13:34Speaker 1: Because its track and field, You and I can agree
- 13:36Speaker 1: with this. Those aren't money making sports minus the Olympics. Right,
- 13:40Speaker 1: every four years, you care about track and field, and
- 13:43Speaker 1: that's it. You don't care about it any other time.
- 13:46Speaker 1: You don't care about curling, for example, at any other time.
- 13:50Speaker 1: But the Olympics, a major team sport, is where this
- 13:57Speaker 1: needs to happen and when it happened, and when a
- 14:02Speaker 1: group of individuals get together. I really believe a bunch
- 14:06Speaker 1: of teaching pros should just go join the WTA Tour
- 14:10Speaker 1: and say we all identify as women. Stop us. A
- 14:14Speaker 1: group of teaching pros should go join the LPGA Tour
- 14:19Speaker 1: and just say, hey, I identify as a woman. Stop me.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Tell me that I can't identify as that. Go ahead,
- 14:27Speaker 1: I dare you tell me I can't identify as that? Now,
- 14:31Speaker 1: what we are seeing around the country is states trying
- 14:34Speaker 1: to figure out what they're going to do legislatively to
- 14:37Speaker 1: protect women's sports. Many states, or that's happening are obviously
- 14:41Speaker 1: in conservative states. There's now more than almost or there's
- 14:43Speaker 1: almost two dozen states now they're decided to protect women's sports,
- 14:47Speaker 1: which is exactly, by the way, what feminists should be doing,
- 14:50Speaker 1: the left should be doing, but they're not because they're
- 14:53Speaker 1: so afraid of getting in trouble with the LGBTQ community.
- 14:58Speaker 1: So they're basically saying, all right, we're not going to
- 15:00Speaker 1: touch this, because if we do touch it, it's going
- 15:03Speaker 1: to be a problem. One of the leaders on this
- 15:07Speaker 1: bill came out of Idaho. In Idaho, they were the
- 15:10Speaker 1: first state to ban biological men boys from competing in
- 15:17Speaker 1: women's sports. There is a former Division one athlete and
- 15:21Speaker 1: a deformer Division one coach. They decided to lead on
- 15:26Speaker 1: this issue and said, I understand the difference, and I
- 15:29Speaker 1: know how to protect women's sports, and I understand how
- 15:32Speaker 1: important it is to protect women's sports because if we don't,
- 15:37Speaker 1: they will be taken over by men. Joining me now,
- 15:42Speaker 1: the woman who led this charge, Idaho State Representative Barbara Ehart,
- 15:46Speaker 1: is with us tonight and Barbara, I appreciate you coming
- 15:49Speaker 1: on the show because this is obviously such an important issue.
- 15:53Speaker 1: How did you get there and what was this How
- 15:56Speaker 1: has it been received with you guys being first in
- 15:58Speaker 1: the nation. Well, first, gosh, thank you for our having
- 16:02Speaker 1: me on. This has been quite an experience over the
- 16:05Speaker 1: last year and really last couple of years that I've
- 16:07Speaker 1: been working on this legislation. But yes, as a former athlete,
- 16:11Speaker 1: as a former fifteen year Division one women's basketball coach,
- 16:15Speaker 1: as we started to see what was happening nationally and internationally,
- 16:19Speaker 1: and really it was the Connecticut girls that really just
- 16:23Speaker 1: finally did it in for me, where where you could
- 16:25Speaker 1: see how quickly things could change. I mean just in
- 16:28Speaker 1: a matter of eighteen months, we went from two biological
- 16:33Speaker 1: male boys winning eighty five championships and fifteen state titles
- 16:39Speaker 1: that had been held by nine different girls. I mean,
- 16:41Speaker 1: it was just unbelievable. And really that was the impetus
- 16:44Speaker 1: with my experience as an athlete and how much I
- 16:47Speaker 1: learned to say, hey, we need to do something about this.
- 16:50Speaker 1: And I really think my colleagues everyone got on board. Certainly,
- 16:54Speaker 1: I think my background was the setting to make this happen.
- 16:58Speaker 1: But it has been so gratifying to see over thirty
- 17:01Speaker 1: two states bring this kind of legislation forward this year
- 17:05Speaker 1: after we paid to pass forward last year with Idaho
- 17:08Speaker 1: be in the first of the nation. Do we have
- 17:10Speaker 1: any data, because you know, you look at Martin Navatalova,
- 17:13Speaker 1: for example, a famous openly gay athlete, women's centenise player,
- 17:20Speaker 1: unbelievable athlete. She came out, got kicked off of LGBTQ boards,
- 17:25Speaker 1: and the LGBTQ community community literally turned against her because
- 17:29Speaker 1: she said no to this. Do we have any data
- 17:32Speaker 1: about how many athletes were even talking about for example,
- 17:36Speaker 1: like an Idaho Do we know how many declared transgender
- 17:39Speaker 1: athletes there are in the school system? Do we have
- 17:41Speaker 1: any clue? I mean, we're talking about totally fundamentally advocating
- 17:45Speaker 1: for changing sports for how many athletes? Well see, now,
- 17:52Speaker 1: now that's kind of an argument that the other side
- 17:55Speaker 1: likes to use that this isn't a problem, it's, you know,
- 17:58Speaker 1: a solution in search of a problem, And I completely disagree.
- 18:01Speaker 1: As a matter of fact, I'm not I'm not disputing that.
- 18:04Speaker 1: My point is, yeah, it's the media has tried to
- 18:07Speaker 1: make it like there's hundreds of athletes sitting on the
- 18:10Speaker 1: sidelines that can't compete in your school district because you're
- 18:15Speaker 1: not allowing trans athletes. My point is there is not
- 18:18Speaker 1: a problem right there. We're I mean, we're not talking
- 18:22Speaker 1: about that many athletes period. Am I wrong? Well not
- 18:27Speaker 1: not at this point, but I certainly know a lot
- 18:30Speaker 1: sure lined up during the hearing saying they wanted to
- 18:33Speaker 1: be able to do it in the future. And the
- 18:35Speaker 1: fact of the matter is it's simply not fair. There's
- 18:38Speaker 1: no way to justify it because we can't compete against
- 18:41Speaker 1: the inherent physiological advantage that male athletes have. And is
- 18:45Speaker 1: so rather there are a lot or very few. One
- 18:50Speaker 1: is too many to me, it's well and and my
- 18:53Speaker 1: point is, this is my point. The media is trying
- 18:55Speaker 1: to make it seem like there's some massive problem of
- 18:58Speaker 1: a massive amount of people in a community that are
- 19:00Speaker 1: being underserved and being locked out of sports until we
- 19:03Speaker 1: change the rule, which is a lie. That's my point.
- 19:06Speaker 1: Second thing is, look at how quick men who act
- 19:11Speaker 1: like women go, and you talk about Connecticut to the
- 19:14Speaker 1: top of women's sports. I have jokingly said, a bunch
- 19:19Speaker 1: of guys who get cut from the varsity basketball team
- 19:22Speaker 1: and some town America should all just walk into the
- 19:25Speaker 1: principal's office and say we all identify as women now,
- 19:28Speaker 1: and we want to be on the women's team and
- 19:30Speaker 1: take it over. You need. You know, a bunch of
- 19:32Speaker 1: teaching pros and golf should just say go the old
- 19:34Speaker 1: PGA tour and say, hey, we all identify as women.
- 19:37Speaker 1: And while the lawsuits go on for a year or two,
- 19:39Speaker 1: watch them when all of the titles and all of
- 19:43Speaker 1: the money and mock it, because that's I'm afraid what
- 19:47Speaker 1: it's going to take for the left to get their
- 19:49Speaker 1: heads out of the rear in and realize that this
- 19:51Speaker 1: is true in Sandy and even Caitlyn Jenner is saying,
- 19:55Speaker 1: who know to this? That you cannot do this, it's
- 19:58Speaker 1: unfair to women's sports. And boy, I share appreciated Caitlyn
- 20:03Speaker 1: Jenner stepping up and having the courage to say that.
- 20:07Speaker 1: And you know, the point that you've been making is
- 20:09Speaker 1: a point that I've been able to testify and a
- 20:13Speaker 1: lot of these states that are bringing the legislation forward
- 20:15Speaker 1: this year, and even personally in a few states including Montana,
- 20:19Speaker 1: where I really made the point and one of the
- 20:20Speaker 1: state representatives picked up on it that if we're willing
- 20:24Speaker 1: to have just one biological male athlete, for example, say
- 20:27Speaker 1: in the sport of girls basketball, if we're willing to
- 20:29Speaker 1: have one, then we have to be willing to say
- 20:33Speaker 1: that if twelve biological male athletes tried out, that we
- 20:35Speaker 1: would allow all twelve on that team. And my question
- 20:39Speaker 1: is where do the women go? And one of the
- 20:41Speaker 1: representatives asked the ACLU that and she had no answer.
- 20:46Speaker 1: It's really quite funny. It's on Twitter, but she could
- 20:49Speaker 1: not answer that. You know, would you support that? And
- 20:53Speaker 1: you know, basically the ACO you used to be there
- 20:55Speaker 1: for women and they no longer are. Who's standing up
- 20:57Speaker 1: for us? Where were the feminists? What was the left
- 21:00Speaker 1: saying to you while you were pushing this legislation as
- 21:04Speaker 1: the first in the nation. Well, boy, a lot of
- 21:07Speaker 1: them that turned up to testify were obviously against us.
- 21:11Speaker 1: But we did find an ally in Wolf, which is
- 21:16Speaker 1: one of the few radical feminist groups that believe in
- 21:19Speaker 1: sex separate spaces for women. And so Wolf kind of
- 21:23Speaker 1: based out of DC and so kudos for them for
- 21:25Speaker 1: joining in the fight, but as as a whole, they're
- 21:29Speaker 1: not there. I believe that there are a lot of
- 21:31Speaker 1: people that are hypocritical about this issue, and who are they?
- 21:36Speaker 1: Who is controlling them? Who are they afraid of? I mean,
- 21:39Speaker 1: if you do the data. And this is when I
- 21:41Speaker 1: go back to a data I'm a data guy, right,
- 21:45Speaker 1: And I had I had I won't say the state
- 21:49Speaker 1: because people can figure it out, but I had an
- 21:51Speaker 1: individual that called me that's running for governor and wanting
- 21:55Speaker 1: some advice, and they asked me for advice on this issue.
- 22:00Speaker 1: And I said, if you put men and women into
- 22:04Speaker 1: a voting booth, okay, and you say to those men
- 22:08Speaker 1: and those women in that voting booth, do you believe
- 22:13Speaker 1: that women should play with women and men should play
- 22:15Speaker 1: with men? Right? Do you believe I think ninety eight
- 22:20Speaker 1: percent of them are going to vote the way I
- 22:23Speaker 1: just described it, which is they're going to say no,
- 22:26Speaker 1: They're gonna say absolutely not. And this is one of
- 22:30Speaker 1: those silent majority issues which amy angry that is tiny
- 22:35Speaker 1: by the way, it is a tiny community. Well, you
- 22:39Speaker 1: know to that point, and certainly during the campaign there
- 22:42Speaker 1: was a ton of polling done and polling done in
- 22:45Speaker 1: the ten battleground states that include like Michigan, Minnesota, Pennsylvania,
- 22:49Speaker 1: North Carolina, and as you went through all of that,
- 22:51Speaker 1: overwhelmingly the polling indicated whether you are on the Republican
- 22:55Speaker 1: or the Democrat side, that at minimum seventy five to
- 22:59Speaker 1: twenty five present poling said they wanted to for women
- 23:04Speaker 1: to compete against women and men to compete against men.
- 23:06Speaker 1: They are not in favor of allowing biological males in
- 23:10Speaker 1: women's sports, and so you are correct in that. And
- 23:14Speaker 1: it's unfortunate that even when I first brought this legislation
- 23:18Speaker 1: last year, I was speaking to a couple of my
- 23:20Speaker 1: Democrat colleagues and women that I thought, would you join
- 23:23Speaker 1: with me in the cause, And honestly, initially they agreed
- 23:27Speaker 1: with me, but as soon as it became political, as
- 23:30Speaker 1: soon as I brought it, they could no longer support
- 23:33Speaker 1: it because now it was politicized in the powers that be,
- 23:37Speaker 1: including the ACLU, which is an incredibly, incredibly powerful voice,
- 23:41Speaker 1: just rallied the troops and absolutely did not want to
- 23:45Speaker 1: see this go forward. So I kudos to my colleagues
- 23:49Speaker 1: for staying strong, meaning my colleagues for staying strong and
- 23:52Speaker 1: helping to push this forward, and to our governor for
- 23:54Speaker 1: helping to push this forward. My guests for me is
- 23:56Speaker 1: a state Rappa, Idaho Barbara Ehart, Barbara, let me ask
- 24:00Speaker 1: you another question. We know now what the left does.
- 24:03Speaker 1: They immediately go for lawsuits. Are you guys seeing lawsuits yet?
- 24:07Speaker 1: Are you preparing for lawsuits? And other groups threatened to
- 24:11Speaker 1: sue already, Where does this legislation move from here? Well,
- 24:16Speaker 1: let me give you a quick history. So after the
- 24:18Speaker 1: governor signed it, we were told during the process of
- 24:20Speaker 1: this a cl you made it very clear in the
- 24:23Speaker 1: very first hearing that if this push forward they would sue.
- 24:27Speaker 1: So after the governor signed it last year, within a
- 24:29Speaker 1: couple of weeks, the ACLU did file the lawsuit. We
- 24:33Speaker 1: ended up in the federal District Court last year on
- 24:35Speaker 1: July twenty second. We're an injunction with place by Judge nine,
- 24:40Speaker 1: although they did grant an intervener lawsuit with Alliance Defendise
- 24:44Speaker 1: Freedom and two idole state athletes who had to compete
- 24:47Speaker 1: against June Eastwood, who is a biological male athlete from
- 24:52Speaker 1: University Montana. Wren three years for the men's team and
- 24:54Speaker 1: then decided to run as a woman and absolutely annihilated
- 24:57Speaker 1: our women when you and many other states, I'm sure
- 25:01Speaker 1: gonna be looking at this to see what happens here.
- 25:03Speaker 1: You're y'all's attorneys. What have they said about this? Well,
- 25:08Speaker 1: we have we feel like we have pretty good standing.
- 25:11Speaker 1: Some of the arguments put forward by Judge nine were
- 25:16Speaker 1: you know, a little bit interesting, and we'll let them
- 25:20Speaker 1: deal with that tomorrow. But you know, we are looking
- 25:23Speaker 1: at precedent, and part of that precedent included the Clark
- 25:26Speaker 1: case from Arizona, you know, years ago, where the ninth
- 25:29Speaker 1: District actually ruled essentially in favor of girls and not
- 25:32Speaker 1: allowing boys to compete. It was in the sport of volleyball.
- 25:35Speaker 1: But we're also looking at Title nine and Title nine
- 25:38Speaker 1: was put forward just about forty nine years ago, and
- 25:41Speaker 1: Title nine basically gave us opportunities to compete that we
- 25:45Speaker 1: hadn't had that really only our counterparts had had. So
- 25:48Speaker 1: we're looking at precedent and wanting to keep things as
- 25:52Speaker 1: they were. You know, the arguments that somehow taking a
- 25:56Speaker 1: little bit of hormones levels of playing field is about
- 26:00Speaker 1: absurd as as an argument can be, because we know
- 26:04Speaker 1: it's simply not true, and uh, you know, and that
- 26:07Speaker 1: doesn't even speak to the physical advantages of the larger
- 26:09Speaker 1: heart lungs, lounger limbs, you know, denser bones, etc. Etc.
- 26:14Speaker 1: But you know, a little bit of hormone usage doesn't
- 26:17Speaker 1: do much to level the playing field. And no matter what,
- 26:20Speaker 1: you have to remember that in every cell of a
- 26:23Speaker 1: male body, every cell and every fire fiber is always
- 26:26Speaker 1: stamped that X Y chromosome. And it is that why
- 26:30Speaker 1: that allows them to when they're training, to get quicker, bigger, faster,
- 26:36Speaker 1: stronger than it does a biological female. One other question
- 26:41Speaker 1: I want to ask you, and that is just from
- 26:44Speaker 1: a total an advocate of women's sports. You play women's sports.
- 26:50Speaker 1: You know what it's like to give out scholarships and
- 26:52Speaker 1: women's sports. You know how hard girls fight. When you
- 26:54Speaker 1: see one or two guys that could change an entire
- 26:57Speaker 1: outcome of a league. I mean, we know about marquee
- 27:00Speaker 1: players even in sports in general, right, one player that
- 27:03Speaker 1: can change an entire lineup of a team and change
- 27:06Speaker 1: the entire outcome of a season. When you see the
- 27:09Speaker 1: threat from transgendered athletes to totally completely change the records,
- 27:16Speaker 1: the record books a season exactly. The list goes on
- 27:20Speaker 1: and on, do others not understand how big of a
- 27:24Speaker 1: deal it is. I mean, we're talking about people. The
- 27:27Speaker 1: difference between a full ride and not even getting noticed
- 27:32Speaker 1: by some kind of right. Let me, yeah yeah, let
- 27:35Speaker 1: me address it this way. First, it's important to understand
- 27:38Speaker 1: that this legislation does not prevent anyone. It doesn't prevent
- 27:42Speaker 1: any biological mail from identifying however they want and competing.
- 27:45Speaker 1: They still can. But what people don't understand is in
- 27:48Speaker 1: the arena of sport, and let's take it at the
- 27:51Speaker 1: college level that at the college level, we are known
- 27:55Speaker 1: we copy each other all the time. So let's look
- 27:57Speaker 1: at the very real case of June Eastwood who ran
- 28:00Speaker 1: for the University of Montana for three years as John Eastwood,
- 28:04Speaker 1: and then the past year in twenty nine, in the
- 28:06Speaker 1: twenty nineteen twenty twenty season, decided to run on the
- 28:09Speaker 1: women's team. And so, just if June had decided to
- 28:13Speaker 1: do that his the freshman year, I guarantee you that
- 28:18Speaker 1: every single school against whom the University of Montana competed,
- 28:22Speaker 1: which would be every school in the Big Sky, in
- 28:24Speaker 1: order to remain competitive because it's the other side, gives
- 28:27Speaker 1: a false narrative of it's about humanity in its community,
- 28:31Speaker 1: and that's great, but that's not what competition is about.
- 28:34Speaker 1: The first important thing is this is about competition. That's
- 28:38Speaker 1: why people get cut and coaches lose their jobs. So
- 28:40Speaker 1: in order to compete, you have to recruit the kind
- 28:43Speaker 1: of athletes that will allow you to compete. So if
- 28:45Speaker 1: one biological mail is allowed to remain at the college level,
- 28:49Speaker 1: in order to compete every team, let's say it was
- 28:52Speaker 1: a basketball team, you're going to have to find somebody
- 28:54Speaker 1: to counter that person, and then it'll go from there.
- 28:58Speaker 1: Then every team again to whom you play in the conference,
- 29:01Speaker 1: they'll now have to start finding a means to compete
- 29:04Speaker 1: against you. At least you have the upper hand. Representative,
- 29:08Speaker 1: Barbara Earhart, you bring up a great point there, and
- 29:10Speaker 1: I really do appreciate you coming on the podcast and
- 29:13Speaker 1: giving this perspective and leading in this country, leading the
- 29:17Speaker 1: way for so many other states to do exactly what
- 29:19Speaker 1: you guys have done. And please keep us update and
- 29:21Speaker 1: we'll have you back on the podcast after we find
- 29:24Speaker 1: out what happens with this court battle that you just
- 29:27Speaker 1: talked about. Lastly, if you are just now listening to
- 29:30Speaker 1: this podcast for the first time, thank you. If you
- 29:32Speaker 1: listen all the time, please make sure that you tell
