- 0:00Speaker 1: Well, we want to have a post office that works well,
- 0:03Speaker 1: doesn't lose massive amounts of money.
- 0:06Speaker 2: I think it'll operate a let that than has been
- 0:08Speaker 2: over the years.
- 0:09Speaker 1: It's been just a tremendous loser for this country, tremendous
- 0:13Speaker 1: amounts of money.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Being laws and just losing to mendus amounty.
- 0:17Speaker 3: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.
- 0:21Speaker 4: Good Monday morning. Ben Ferguson with you.
- 0:23Speaker 5: It's nice to have you on the forty seven Morning Update.
- 0:25Speaker 5: And here are the big stories that we are talking about.
- 0:28Speaker 5: Donald Trump's saying no more to government waste, even at
- 0:31Speaker 5: the United States Postal Service.
- 0:33Speaker 4: Big changes could be coming. What are they? I'll explain
- 0:35Speaker 4: in a moment.
- 0:36Speaker 5: Also, another big blow to the deep state is Donald
- 0:40Speaker 5: Trump picks Dan Bonngino to be the deputy director of
- 0:43Speaker 5: the FBI. And finally Elon must send out an email
- 0:47Speaker 5: to government employees saying, Hey, what did you actually do
- 0:50Speaker 5: at work last week?
- 0:52Speaker 4: Justify having a job.
- 0:55Speaker 5: It's the forty seven Morning Update and it starts right now.
- 0:59Speaker 5: Story number one another panic sitting in in Washington, d C.
- 1:03Speaker 5: Right now is Democrats are losing it over the fact
- 1:06Speaker 5: that Donald Trump is talking about reforming the United States
- 1:10Speaker 5: Postal Service. The House Oversight Committee Democrats sending a scathing
- 1:15Speaker 5: letter to the President of the United States of America saying,
- 1:18Speaker 5: you cannot touch the United States Postal Service. So how
- 1:22Speaker 5: did this even become an issue? While the President was
- 1:25Speaker 5: asked a question at the White House this during the
- 1:29Speaker 5: swearing end of the Commerce Secretary Howard Luttnik, And this
- 1:33Speaker 5: is what the President said.
- 1:35Speaker 3: You are considering mergad and this with the Callers Department,
- 1:40Speaker 3: you operate the company.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Well, we want to have a post office that works
- 1:44Speaker 1: well and doesn't lose massive amounts of money.
- 1:47Speaker 2: And we're thinking about doing that, and it will be
- 1:50Speaker 2: a form of a merger, but it'll remind the Postal
- 1:53Speaker 2: Service and I think it'll operate a let that that
- 1:56Speaker 2: has been over the years has been dated from amendous
- 2:00Speaker 2: loser for this country, tremendous amounts of money being lost,
- 2:03Speaker 2: and we think we can do something that will be
- 2:05Speaker 2: very good and keep it a very similar way. But
- 2:10Speaker 2: whether it's a merger or just using some of the
- 2:12Speaker 2: very talented people that we have elsewhere so it doesn't
- 2:15Speaker 2: lose so much it's losing a tremendous amount of money.
- 2:18Speaker 5: Now, for the majority of Americans that heard the President,
- 2:22Speaker 5: that was not a shocking or crazy comment made. He's saying,
- 2:25Speaker 5: this is losing entirely too much money, has been for decades,
- 2:29Speaker 5: and there must be some reforms and accountability.
- 2:32Speaker 4: So what are the left do?
- 2:34Speaker 5: Following the remarks, Democrat members of the House Oversight Committee
- 2:37Speaker 5: send a letter to Trump urging him to abandon any
- 2:41Speaker 5: plans to reform the United States Postal Service. Here's the kicker,
- 2:46Speaker 5: there is no actual plan that has even been put
- 2:49Speaker 5: forward for the left to actually be afraid of. It
- 2:53Speaker 5: doesn't matter because this is all about keeping their liberal
- 2:57Speaker 5: union members employed no matter what. In their letter, they
- 3:02Speaker 5: were quoted as saying, your reported efforts to dismantle the
- 3:06Speaker 5: Postal Service as an independent agency would directly undermine the
- 3:10Speaker 5: affordability and reliability of the US postal system. That is
- 3:13Speaker 5: what the ranking member, a Democrat from Virginia, said, and
- 3:17Speaker 5: other panel members also wrote in the letter saying, quote,
- 3:20Speaker 5: we urge you to abandon immediately any plans that would
- 3:24Speaker 5: either privatize the Postal Service or undermine the independence of
- 3:28Speaker 5: the Postal Service.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Now.
- 3:30Speaker 5: The letter also followed reporting from the Washington Post that
- 3:34Speaker 5: the President is weighing firing the US Postal Service Board
- 3:37Speaker 5: and absorbing the United States Postal Service into the Department
- 3:41Speaker 5: of Commerce. Democrats continue to lose their minds, of course,
- 3:45Speaker 5: by saying, Congress prescribed a clear and critical mandate for
- 3:48Speaker 5: the Postal Service to deliver efficient, reliable, and universal service
- 3:52Speaker 5: to all Americans, Your reported plans for the Postal Service
- 3:56Speaker 5: would put at risk the timely, affordable, to delivery of
- 4:01Speaker 5: life saving medications, mail in ballots, important financial documents, and
- 4:05Speaker 5: letters from level ones, especially in rule are less profitable
- 4:09Speaker 5: areas that the private sector refuses to service.
- 4:12Speaker 4: And to be clear, all of this is fear mongering.
- 4:15Speaker 5: The President of the United States of America hasn't even
- 4:17Speaker 5: announced an actual plan yet. So why is it Democrats
- 4:21Speaker 5: are going so insane. It's because many of the employees
- 4:25Speaker 5: of the United States Postal Service are Democrats and union members.
- 4:30Speaker 5: They are obsessed with keeping that power regardless of how
- 4:34Speaker 5: much the US government has to bail out the Postal
- 4:37Speaker 5: Service each and every year. The final point that the
- 4:41Speaker 5: President is making is there must be some changes. Maybe
- 4:45Speaker 5: that means not having the mail be delivered Monday through Saturday.
- 4:49Speaker 5: It could mean that there are a Tuesday, Wednesday or
- 4:51Speaker 5: Thursday schedule, or a Monday, Wednesday Friday schedule. The point
- 4:56Speaker 5: is it's time for the postal service to be efficient.
- 5:00Speaker 5: Doesn't mean that he's shutting the entire thing down. So
- 5:03Speaker 5: when you hear the media tell you that the president's
- 5:05Speaker 5: threatening to do that, to be very clear, there is
- 5:08Speaker 5: not an actual plan yet from the president, so they
- 5:11Speaker 5: are lying to you.
- 5:13Speaker 4: Next story number two.
- 5:14Speaker 5: It's pretty clear that Donald Trump isn't tired of winning yet. Yes,
- 5:18Speaker 5: last week Cashpatel became the FBI director, but Donald Trump
- 5:22Speaker 5: wasn't done dismantling the deep state. Donald Trump announced over
- 5:27Speaker 5: the weekend that Dan Bongino has been picked to be
- 5:30Speaker 5: the deputy director of the FBI, and to tweet the
- 5:35Speaker 5: present sent out, he said, great news for law enforcement
- 5:39Speaker 5: an American justice. Dan Bongino, a man of incredible love
- 5:43Speaker 5: and passion for our country, has just been named the
- 5:47Speaker 5: next Deputy director of the FBI by the man who
- 5:51Speaker 5: will be the best ever director, Cash Battel. Dan has
- 5:55Speaker 5: a master's degree in psychology from See You and Why
- 6:00Speaker 5: and an MBA from Penn State. He was a member
- 6:03Speaker 5: of the New York Police Department New York's Finance, a
- 6:06Speaker 5: highly respected special agent with a United States Secret Service
- 6:11Speaker 5: and is now one of the most successful podcasters in
- 6:13Speaker 5: the country, something he is willing and prepared to give
- 6:18Speaker 5: up in order to serve. Working with our great new
- 6:22Speaker 5: United States Attorney General Pambondi and Director Partel, Fairness, Justice,
- 6:29Speaker 5: law and order will be brought back to America and quickly.
- 6:33Speaker 5: Congratulations Dan, Now this move is obviously making the Deep
- 6:38Speaker 5: State go totally insane. Dan Bongino making it clear that
- 6:42Speaker 5: he is ready to serve his country and giving up
- 6:45Speaker 5: one of the most successful podcasts in American history. He
- 6:49Speaker 5: simply put it this way. Thank you, mister President, Attorney
- 6:53Speaker 5: General Bondi, and Director Patel. Now what does this mean
- 6:57Speaker 5: for the deep State?
- 6:59Speaker 4: Well.
- 6:59Speaker 5: In an inter back in twenty twenty three, Bongino weighed
- 7:03Speaker 5: in on Cocaine that he'd been discovered in the West
- 7:06Speaker 5: Wing of the White House, for example, stating that quote
- 7:09Speaker 5: there is simply no way the Secret Service did not
- 7:12Speaker 5: know who it belonged to. Bongino added at the time
- 7:15Speaker 5: the government was quote so messed up and so corrupt.
- 7:18Speaker 5: Right now, argue all you want about the Deep State
- 7:22Speaker 5: being a conspiracy theory or whatever, went on to say
- 7:25Speaker 5: at the time in this interview, he said, that's all bull.
- 7:28Speaker 4: You know what, it's real.
- 7:30Speaker 5: We've already seen corruption in the intel community, the FBI.
- 7:34Speaker 5: We are going to find out question Mark. The answer is,
- 7:37Speaker 5: I don't know. I can't predict the future. But let
- 7:40Speaker 5: me tell you this. I'm just looking in the camera
- 7:43Speaker 5: and begging the Secret Service leadership, now, just don't do
- 7:48Speaker 5: to America what the FBI did. Translation Caspitel Pambondi and
- 7:55Speaker 5: now Dan Bongino have their work cut out for them,
- 7:59Speaker 5: and the job the president has given them is to
- 8:01Speaker 5: clean up the deep state, and now they have the
- 8:05Speaker 5: manpower to do it.
- 8:07Speaker 3: And here is story number three.
- 8:09Speaker 5: Imagine being at work and receiving an email from your
- 8:12Speaker 5: boss asking you to state, what did you do last
- 8:16Speaker 5: week in your job over the last five things you did,
- 8:20Speaker 5: and knowing that you don't have a very good answer. Well,
- 8:23Speaker 5: for many government employees, that is exactly the email they received.
- 8:28Speaker 5: Elon Musk, leading the Department of Government Efficiency under Donald Trump,
- 8:32Speaker 5: send an email to all US federal employees with a
- 8:36Speaker 5: subject line, what did you do last week? The email
- 8:41Speaker 5: dispatched late Saturday afternoon, instructed employees to provide five bullet
- 8:47Speaker 5: points summarizing their work achievements from the previous week by
- 8:51Speaker 5: midnight on Monday. Must warn that failure to respond would
- 8:56Speaker 5: be interpreted as a resignation. This directive has led to
- 9:00Speaker 5: quote confusion and pushback within various federal agencies. Some departments,
- 9:06Speaker 5: including the State Department of the FBI, have advised their
- 9:09Speaker 5: employees to pause or refrain from responding to the email,
- 9:13Speaker 5: citing concerns over confidentiality and proper chain of command. But
- 9:18Speaker 5: the largest group of federal workers is being told that
- 9:22Speaker 5: it is time for them to tell Elon Musk and
- 9:26Speaker 5: those a doge exactly what they're doing now.
- 9:29Speaker 4: Don't worry.
- 9:30Speaker 5: Many in the government are fighting back. The largest federal
- 9:33Speaker 5: workers union criticize the move, labeling it cruel and disrespectful.
- 9:39Speaker 5: Must defended the email, stating it aligance with Donald Trump's
- 9:43Speaker 5: directive to adopt a more aggressive approach in evaluating federal
- 9:47Speaker 5: employee productivity. Must suggest it that the requirement was a
- 9:51Speaker 5: basic measure to ensure accountability and identify potential inefficiencies within
- 9:56Speaker 5: the government workforce. The situation has sparked a broader debate
- 10:01Speaker 5: about the treatment of federal employees. That is what Democrats
- 10:05Speaker 5: are fighting back with, saying that this is a method
- 10:08Speaker 5: of harassment instead of performance. They also are now stating
- 10:13Speaker 5: there are quote concerns about legality, respect, and the potential
- 10:17Speaker 5: impact on morale and national security. At the end of
- 10:22Speaker 5: the day, it's pretty clear that Elon Musk isn't going
- 10:24Speaker 5: to take the bait on any of that, and the
- 10:27Speaker 5: President of the United States of America is also making
- 10:29Speaker 5: it clear that if you're one of these woke individuals
- 10:32Speaker 5: they can't handle a basic email asking you what did
- 10:36Speaker 5: you do at work last week, then maybe it's time
- 10:39Speaker 5: for you to resign and get the hell out of
- 10:41Speaker 5: the government.
