- 1:58Speaker 2: Come on you, I sure will. Good morning everybody. You

- 2:06Speaker 2: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Ain't
- 2:10Speaker 2: god good man? I mean really, hey, you know what
- 2:13Speaker 2: today I'm gonna try something different, and it's amazing. I'm
- 2:16Speaker 2: gonna try something different because that's kind of what we're
- 2:18Speaker 2: gonna talk.
- 2:19Speaker 5: About this morning. Do something different this year.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Look, if what you've been doing has just gotten you
- 2:25Speaker 2: to this point and you are not content with the
- 2:29Speaker 2: point you are at, then we.
- 2:30Speaker 5: Need to make an adjustment. I mean, don't that seem
- 2:32Speaker 5: like the common sense thing to do?
- 2:34Speaker 2: It does to me. Let's just do something different this year.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Make a commitment. I'm gonna do something different. I'm gonna
- 2:41Speaker 2: put forth a little bit more effort. I'm gonna quit trying,
- 2:44Speaker 2: I'm gonna do it this year. You know, sometimes that
- 2:48Speaker 2: simple change of attitude is enough. Instead of trying, I'm
- 2:51Speaker 2: gonna do it.
- 2:52Speaker 5: And it's just as simple as that.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Sometimes, just remove certain words out the way, stop trying
- 2:58Speaker 2: to do something. You know, I decided this year, you know,
- 3:00Speaker 2: I wasn't gonna try to be a better person this year.
- 3:02Speaker 2: I'm just gonna go about the business of being a
- 3:04Speaker 2: better person this year. And see how that worked, you know,
- 3:07Speaker 2: Because like I've said a thousand times, so if you
- 3:10Speaker 2: keep doing what you been doing, you gonna keep getting
- 3:12Speaker 2: what you been getting.
- 3:14Speaker 3: It.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Don't change it, don't change unless you change it. But
- 3:18Speaker 2: you have the power to change it. The power of
- 3:21Speaker 2: decision is in your hands. Decide to do the do
- 3:24Speaker 2: something different, make a commitment, say you know what, this year,
- 3:28Speaker 2: I'm gonna do the right thing.
- 3:29Speaker 5: Now, let me warn you.
- 3:32Speaker 2: When you decide to do the right thing, understand, here
- 3:36Speaker 2: come the haters. What they not gonna let you do
- 3:38Speaker 2: is make a conscious decision to be a better person
- 3:41Speaker 2: without something to be said. Come on, now, you think
- 3:44Speaker 2: the devil just gonna let you all of a sudden,
- 3:46Speaker 2: you gonna you're gonna be better when he needed to
- 3:49Speaker 2: keep you on the wrong side of the track.
- 3:51Speaker 5: You're gonna go up on the other side, so he
- 3:53Speaker 5: come to haters.
- 3:53Speaker 2: Now, now let me tell you what's gonna happen, because
- 3:55Speaker 2: I'm speaking from experience. This is what I know, and
- 3:59Speaker 2: all of you out there and notice to be true
- 4:01Speaker 2: because all I'm doing right now, we just having to
- 4:03Speaker 2: remind the conversation.
- 4:05Speaker 5: When you decide to do the right thing, it's going
- 4:08Speaker 5: to be unpopular with some people.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Some people ain't gonna like your decision because now your
- 4:14Speaker 2: decision to start getting to work on time, or your
- 4:17Speaker 2: decision to finally go home and be the man you
- 4:19Speaker 2: supposed to be, or your decision to finally go on
- 4:22Speaker 2: to take care of your kids in spite of it all,
- 4:25Speaker 2: or your decision to man, I'm gonna come in here,
- 4:27Speaker 2: man and start loving my girl the way she deserved
- 4:29Speaker 2: to be loved, and all this here, Okay, Now that's
- 4:32Speaker 2: gonna put somebody on the out looking in. You do
- 4:35Speaker 2: understand that when you decide to come to work on
- 4:38Speaker 2: time every day, your homie over there that's been coming
- 4:41Speaker 2: in late with you, now all of a sudden, you
- 4:43Speaker 2: you got, you got. You don't put a spotlight on him.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Now all of a sudden, Man, you ain't coming in
- 4:48Speaker 2: late with me no more.
- 4:49Speaker 7: Man.
- 4:49Speaker 5: Now they looking at me like I'm crazy by myself.
- 4:52Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, man.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Because when you decide to do the right thing, it's
- 4:55Speaker 2: it becomes unpopular to some people. When you decide to
- 4:58Speaker 2: do the right thing. From exp they gonna talk about you.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Look at him now, and now he gonna go home.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Now he know he been out here in the streets, right,
- 5:07Speaker 2: he gonna try to go home and see his wife.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Yeah man, yeah, yeah, you just made that decision. But
- 5:11Speaker 2: they gonna talk about you.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Now.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Guess what. The girl that you've been going over to see,
- 5:15Speaker 2: she gonna talk about you. You ain't this, You ain't nothing.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Because now you're going home. Your boy's gonna talk about you.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Because you're going home, and you're gonna get some flat
- 5:23Speaker 2: when you do the right thing, here comes somebody ain't
- 5:27Speaker 2: gonna like it. Somebody want you to stay wrong, misery
- 5:31Speaker 2: love company. When you make the decision to do the
- 5:34Speaker 2: right thing, somebody is gonna call you a hypocrite because
- 5:39Speaker 2: you know what they gonna do. They gonna point out
- 5:41Speaker 2: the way you were in the past versus the way
- 5:44Speaker 2: you decided to be brand new.
- 5:46Speaker 5: How you all of a sudden claiming this one I.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Saw you doing that. Please understand, when you make the
- 5:52Speaker 2: decision to do the right thing.
- 5:54Speaker 5: Here they come you a hypocrite.
- 5:56Speaker 2: You think they don't call me that? They called me that,
- 5:58Speaker 2: Steve Harvey, I hear, man. Look on Twitter, you try
- 6:03Speaker 2: to tweet people positive stuff. Here come a tweet you
- 6:06Speaker 2: fake your family and all that. I ain't say my
- 6:09Speaker 2: family was, man, I'm just trying to give out some
- 6:11Speaker 2: positive encouragement, you know. But here it come, you a hypocrite.
- 6:16Speaker 2: I remember when you was out on a tour with
- 6:18Speaker 2: the Kings of Comedy. Yeah, me too, I remember that too,
- 6:21Speaker 2: But I ain't out on tour with them no more.
- 6:24Speaker 2: We done all changed.
- 6:25Speaker 5: Hello.
- 6:27Speaker 2: So now what you want me to do? You wanna
- 6:28Speaker 2: keep living up to what you saw me as what
- 6:31Speaker 2: I was? And I can't get no credit with you
- 6:33Speaker 2: for what I'm trying to be. Now that's that. Now
- 6:36Speaker 2: you're gonna be a hypocrite, you fake? Nah, man, you
- 6:38Speaker 2: ain't fake. You just have made the decision to be
- 6:41Speaker 2: a better person, that's all. And now because you ain't
- 6:43Speaker 2: the person you was, the person they knew. Now they
- 6:45Speaker 2: see the new you. Now you're a hypocrite. You ain't
- 6:47Speaker 2: a hypocrite.
- 6:48Speaker 5: You just changed it.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Don't let them hate to shake you. Man, go own
- 6:51Speaker 2: about your business. When they talking about you. Look at
- 6:53Speaker 2: him now, gonna try to go home. He been with
- 6:56Speaker 2: me all this time. Hey man, just go home. Oh
- 6:59Speaker 2: he gonna try to go home now, Man, he know
- 7:01Speaker 2: Friday nights. Man, we done told our girls this where
- 7:03Speaker 2: we're at. Now he's showing up at the house because
- 7:05Speaker 2: he don't want to come on player. Hey man, just
- 7:08Speaker 2: go home. It's gonna be unpopular. You're gonna get talked about.
- 7:11Speaker 2: They gonna say you're a hypocrite. But do the right thing.
- 7:15Speaker 2: God will bless you for that. That's something in Proverbs
- 7:18Speaker 2: that says, if you honor God, if you do the
- 7:19Speaker 2: right thing, if you seek him out, God will cause
- 7:22Speaker 2: his blessings to chase you down. Do you understand me
- 7:25Speaker 2: what that means? Can you imagine what would happen in
- 7:28Speaker 2: your life if God were to take some blessings and
- 7:33Speaker 2: chase you down with him. Do you know that there's
- 7:36Speaker 2: no hiding from him in your deepest, darkest secret. He
- 7:41Speaker 2: know about the stuff that you done kept out the
- 7:43Speaker 2: light from everybody else. He know about all of that.
- 7:46Speaker 2: So now if he has got some blessings that he
- 7:50Speaker 2: gonna chase you down with, you can't even escape them.
- 7:53Speaker 5: You look up and here come another one, that go
- 7:55Speaker 5: another one, Here he go again.
- 7:58Speaker 9: Man.
- 7:58Speaker 2: That's why I'm trying to get my life to because
- 8:00Speaker 2: at the end, man, what I do not want, man,
- 8:04Speaker 2: And not even at the end, I just don't want now,
- 8:07Speaker 2: God to have all these boxes up in heaven, these
- 8:10Speaker 2: blessings with my name on them, and I don't get
- 8:13Speaker 2: them sent to me because I'm down here clowning so hard.
- 8:17Speaker 2: He can't even ship blessings to me. Because I'm just
- 8:20Speaker 2: so dead wrong that I'm blocking the blessings man, that
- 8:24Speaker 2: God got for me. I would rather do the best
- 8:28Speaker 2: I can do and be the best I can be,
- 8:31Speaker 2: make some mistakes, ask for forgiveness, and get on up
- 8:35Speaker 2: and see what God got for me.
- 8:36Speaker 5: And remember, Donny McLurkin got a song out.
- 8:38Speaker 10: Man.
- 8:38Speaker 2: We ain't got time to play it now because I
- 8:40Speaker 2: have talked too long, but you know that's where I
- 8:42Speaker 2: am right now, the song, and it is one of
- 8:45Speaker 2: my favorite. When Donnie wrote we Fall Down, do you
- 8:49Speaker 2: know I knew him when he wrote the song, I
- 8:52Speaker 2: thought he had wrote the song for me. I really did,
- 8:57Speaker 2: because it came out after a conversation we was having,
- 9:00Speaker 2: and I thought he had wrote the song for me
- 9:03Speaker 2: because it's so appropriate to my life. And I bet
- 9:06Speaker 2: you it's appropriate to your life because you see, guess what,
- 9:10Speaker 2: we fall down, but we get up. He has a
- 9:12Speaker 2: line in the song that says a saint is just
- 9:16Speaker 2: a sinner who fell down, but he didn't stay there.
- 9:20Speaker 2: That's the deal, y'all. Look, you gonna make some mistakes.
- 9:25Speaker 2: Just don't stay there. Just get up, man, and walk
- 9:28Speaker 2: straight again. Then while you're walking straight and wright and
- 9:31Speaker 2: trying to be righteous, you're gonna fall. Get up. Don't
- 9:34Speaker 2: stay there and get back on the straight and the righteous.
- 9:37Speaker 2: You're gonna fall a bunch of times. Just don't stay there.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Just get up, man. That's the only difference between a
- 9:43Speaker 2: saint and a sinner. They the same people, man. Actually,
- 9:47Speaker 2: that's what the revealing news is. Saints is really sinners.
- 9:52Speaker 2: They're the same people. They just keep getting up, that's all, man.
- 9:58Speaker 1: You're listening easy to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Ladies and gentlemen. In his opponents to Steve Harvey, Morning
- 10:07Speaker 2: Show is now here. It is today, a new day,
- 10:13Speaker 2: another opportunity, a blessing. God is good.
- 10:17Speaker 3: Man.
- 10:17Speaker 5: I love God. I do, man, I'm but I love it.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Man. Now, I don't love as much as he loved
- 10:23Speaker 2: me because I'd have been through with me a long
- 10:25Speaker 2: time Because I really would have. That's how I know
- 10:30Speaker 2: he loved me, because I'd have been through with me
- 10:33Speaker 2: a long time ago. You did what, man, don't come
- 10:39Speaker 2: in here with that no more, Steve what so man,
- 10:43Speaker 2: I appreciate it. Man, everybody, good day today. Shery Strawberry
- 10:46Speaker 2: calling for real Mouth of the South Junior and that
- 10:49Speaker 2: legend that is nephew Tommy. Hey, Julia, what's on your
- 10:52Speaker 2: mind today?
- 10:53Speaker 4: Yeah, let me ask you this off man.
- 10:55Speaker 1: You got to have to ask this on because you
- 10:58Speaker 1: you know, you on your journey.
- 10:59Speaker 10: Man.
- 11:00Speaker 1: A lot of people gonna have to stay true to
- 11:02Speaker 1: theirself on their journey.
- 11:03Speaker 11: I've seen you do this over the years, just working
- 11:05Speaker 11: with you, just being who you are each and every day,
- 11:07Speaker 11: because some people feel like they got to go do
- 11:09Speaker 11: with everybody else doing if they doing that, I gotta
- 11:11Speaker 11: do this to get to where I'm going, or if
- 11:13Speaker 11: I don't do this, I ain't gonna make it there.
- 11:15Speaker 11: But I've seen you be the same consistent Steve Harvey
- 11:18Speaker 11: this whole entire time.
- 11:19Speaker 4: Where'd you learn that from?
- 11:21Speaker 2: Well? Through experience mostly, But then you know, my mama
- 11:24Speaker 2: told me when she was Sunday school teacher, she said,
- 11:27Speaker 2: your route is different route.
- 11:29Speaker 5: She said, get off the mother paths. God did put
- 11:31Speaker 5: you on that one coact.
- 11:34Speaker 2: And so in a strange way, I started learning exactly
- 11:37Speaker 2: what she meant as I got older. And that's the
- 11:39Speaker 2: problem that people don't know. People think that if they
- 11:43Speaker 2: emulate somebody else that they should that that will result
- 11:48Speaker 2: in them having the same life journey path that they did.
- 11:52Speaker 5: When no two people have that.
- 11:54Speaker 6: Huh.
- 11:55Speaker 2: All you gotta do is look at your fingerprint. Everybody
- 11:57Speaker 2: has differ fingerprint. Everybody got different paths. Anth There are
- 12:01Speaker 2: no two roads travel the exact same There are no
- 12:03Speaker 2: set of circumstances that occur in the exact same order
- 12:06Speaker 2: for everybody that happens at a different period in time.
- 12:09Speaker 2: You may have some similar things happen in your life,
- 12:11Speaker 2: if I promise you, they ain't in the exact same order.
- 12:15Speaker 2: So once you understand that, be okay with your path,
- 12:18Speaker 2: your journey your mission, your route, and go ahead and
- 12:22Speaker 2: do it. I'm gonna tell you, if you try to
- 12:24Speaker 2: do somebody else's route, you are setting yourself back because
- 12:28Speaker 2: that ain't yours. I can promise you. Example, let's just
- 12:33Speaker 2: look at the music industry today. Have you ever in
- 12:38Speaker 2: the history of our existence as people, have you ever
- 12:42Speaker 2: seen these many people attempt to get into the music business.
- 12:48Speaker 5: I ain't ever met mo producers, rappers.
- 12:54Speaker 2: Artists, man on family few When I'm interviewing young people, man,
- 12:59Speaker 2: I go down the row saying, man.
- 13:00Speaker 5: So, what what's your goal here? Y'all want to be
- 13:03Speaker 5: an artist? What type of artists?
- 13:05Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 13:05Speaker 5: I got a rap career, I said to myself. So
- 13:09Speaker 5: much for the word career.
- 13:12Speaker 2: No, yes, you know, but there's people see the success
- 13:17Speaker 2: of other people and they think that's for them. That's
- 13:19Speaker 2: not true, man, it's just not true. There's a lot
- 13:22Speaker 2: of young people wasting their time trying to be some
- 13:25Speaker 2: something they saw. That's why so many women trying to
- 13:27Speaker 2: look like Kim Kardashian.
- 13:29Speaker 10: Huh.
- 13:30Speaker 5: Look how many podcasts.
- 13:33Speaker 1: Not the Kardashian Coming up at thirty two minutes after
- 13:38Speaker 1: the hour, we'll hear from the nephew. He is back
- 13:41Speaker 1: to run that prank back right after this. You're listening

- 14:38Speaker 10: This K doll is Uh is a branding?

- 14:48Speaker 10: Yeah cool? Hey look I just got that I was

- 14:59Speaker 10: I took care of him.
- 15:01Speaker 3: Uh. He told me that he was.
- 15:02Speaker 10: He had been writing you to tell you and you,
- 15:06Speaker 10: you know, letting you know I had been taken care
- 15:08Speaker 10: of him, you know, while we was locked down or whatever.
- 15:11Speaker 10: I know, he don't get off for another couple of years.
- 15:13Speaker 10: But like he told me that when he was writing
- 15:16Speaker 10: you that you know, y'all had already got it situated
- 15:19Speaker 10: that you know, you was gonna take care of me
- 15:22Speaker 10: when I got out. So you know, like I said,
- 15:25Speaker 10: I just got out last night, and I wanted to

- 15:42Speaker 10: talking to my brother in over a year, dude, so
- 15:45Speaker 10: he know, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on,
- 15:48Speaker 10: hold on, right, you know, okay, he told now now
- 15:52Speaker 10: you know he had told me that you you got
- 15:54Speaker 10: me straight with the first ten grand when I first
- 15:57Speaker 10: get out and then a couple of months later you
- 15:59Speaker 10: will hit me with the ten grand.
- 16:00Speaker 3: It's twenty grand.
- 16:02Speaker 10: Wait, that's twenty grand, bro. I got a wife and kids.
- 16:05Speaker 10: I got a family take care of. Ain't no, I
- 16:07Speaker 10: ain't got ten grand to deal with. I got to
- 16:09Speaker 10: feed four kids and a wife. Okay, okay, so what

- 16:26Speaker 10: over here. You want to get it brand, you're gonna
- 16:28Speaker 10: need to wait two years till we get out and
- 16:30Speaker 10: deal with that. Get no, No, it ain't it ain't

- 16:47Speaker 10: I ain't got the first? First of all, what you
- 16:49Speaker 10: need to know is this right here. I don't care

- 27:00Speaker 2: You might not like this girl, but you like groceries,
- 27:04Speaker 2: You like shelter, you like transportation because that's what this
- 27:10Speaker 2: company pays for. Now you need to get overpast your
- 27:14Speaker 2: little insecurities. Yeah, she's a cute little girl, but that's
- 27:17Speaker 2: all it is. You gonna deal with it. You gotta

- 28:07Speaker 1: want to meet her.
- 28:09Speaker 4: I thought it was a good idea, my man. You
- 28:13Speaker 4: look how I'm looking at you.
- 28:15Speaker 11: I'm just trying to figure out if you mad at somebody.
- 28:18Speaker 11: Let's get some conflict resolution in here. Let's all work together.

- 28:41Speaker 1: my husband's texts to come to our yard. How can
- 28:44Speaker 1: he be so petty when he knows I'm married?

- 29:10Speaker 2: sleeping with my yard man and it's been going on
- 29:13Speaker 2: for a while, but he don't like to use protection,
- 29:16Speaker 2: so I kind of bought it up. And now he
- 29:18Speaker 2: didn't quit returning my husband's text because he mad, well,
- 29:24Speaker 2: what's wrong with him?
- 29:25Speaker 3: What?
- 29:27Speaker 2: Lady? You know? And I like the way they don't
- 29:31Speaker 2: mention it. At first, I'm sure with the yard man, okay, cool,
- 29:35Speaker 2: ain't no problem. But now he don't like to wear protection.
- 29:42Speaker 5: Okay.
- 29:42Speaker 2: Now I spoke to him about it, that we should
- 29:46Speaker 2: wear protection because I'm married. Now he didn't. They got
- 29:51Speaker 2: an argument. He didn't quit text returning my husband's text
- 29:54Speaker 2: because he mad at me, what kind of man?
- 29:57Speaker 3: What?
- 29:58Speaker 1: How can he be so petty?

- 55:17Speaker 15: I always wanted I went to jail. No woman that

- 56:52Speaker 1: It could be yours.
- 56:53Speaker 4: You never know it's trapping a strawberry letter.
- 56:56Speaker 1: But my good friend, Shirley Strawby, thank you my good
- 56:59Speaker 1: friend subject, how did he know where to put it? Okay,
- 57:04Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley. I've been married for six years and
- 57:07Speaker 1: all was well in my marriage until one of my
- 57:10Speaker 1: closest friends moved to my side of town. She's divorced,
- 57:15Speaker 1: and she bought a new home closer to where we lived.
- 57:18Speaker 1: When she and her husband started to have problems, my
- 57:21Speaker 1: husband stopped talking to him because he didn't like the
- 57:24Speaker 1: way her husband treated her. My granny lives with us,
- 57:28Speaker 1: and she didn't understand why my husband cared so much.
- 57:33Speaker 1: I don't get into discussions about my husband and marriage
- 57:36Speaker 1: with my grandmother because she finds fault with everything. When
- 57:40Speaker 1: my close friend would stop by our house, my granny
- 57:43Speaker 1: would keep an eye on her. She didn't like my
- 57:46Speaker 1: husband having kind words for my friend at all. I
- 57:49Speaker 1: took it with a grain of salt because Grannie is
- 57:51Speaker 1: so negative most of the time. But I did stop
- 57:55Speaker 1: my friend from popping up at our house before she
- 57:57Speaker 1: went out so I could see her dressed up nicely.
- 58:01Speaker 1: Grannie said it was more for my husband than for me,
- 58:04Speaker 1: it did raise a red flag, but I didn't let
- 58:08Speaker 1: Grannie know. Then my friend had a housewarming party and
- 58:11Speaker 1: she needed wood for her fireplace, so I told her
- 58:14Speaker 1: we bring some. My husband came in a few minutes
- 58:18Speaker 1: after us, and I asked him if he was going
- 58:20Speaker 1: to get the wood. He said, he already put it
- 58:24Speaker 1: out back. My friend thanked him, and Grannie asked how
- 58:28Speaker 1: he knew where to put it. A hush fell over
- 58:32Speaker 1: the room. He said he assumed it went on the patio.
- 58:36Speaker 1: Grannie then asked how he knew where the patio was.
- 58:39Speaker 1: Come on, Grannie, he said, he assumed it was out back.
- 58:43Speaker 1: My friend and my husband looked uncomfortable, and Grannie looked
- 58:47Speaker 1: at me and whispered, don't be stupid, Tam. Is she
- 58:53Speaker 1: just being Grannie? Or am I being stupid? What is
- 58:56Speaker 1: going on?
- 58:58Speaker 3: All right?
- 58:59Speaker 1: It's a little bit of both, meaning that Granny was right,
- 59:02Speaker 1: and yes, you were stupid for ignoring that feeling you
- 59:05Speaker 1: had in your gut. Or the red flags as you
- 59:09Speaker 1: call them, red flags pop up for a reason, Okay,
- 59:12Speaker 1: that's why they're called red flags. And when you know
- 59:16Speaker 1: and when has anyone's granny been wrong about this kind
- 59:20Speaker 1: of stuff. Okay, it's called wisdom. It is called wisdom.
- 59:24Speaker 1: It's called they've lived long enough to have seen just
- 59:28Speaker 1: about everything in life, and they certainly know when a
- 59:30Speaker 1: woman is trying to get at another woman's man. It's
- 59:33Speaker 1: just something that grannies have, Okay, older women. But the
- 59:37Speaker 1: really stupid one here is your husband. Your husband who
- 59:40Speaker 1: couldn't even play off the fact that he knew exactly
- 59:43Speaker 1: where everything was at your friend's house, because why because
- 59:49Speaker 1: could have Could it be that he's been there before?
- 59:52Speaker 1: Sounds like it. It looked very suspicious when you when
- 59:56Speaker 1: all you guys were inside, and he took the firewood
- 59:59Speaker 1: and put it in the very place that was supposed
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: to go. He didn't come in and ask your friend
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: any questions about where it should go. He didn't bring
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: it inside and put it down somewhere anywhere. Nope, he
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: put it where he always puts it when he comes over.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: And that's when granny knew for sure, and she put
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: him on blasts with her questions. And Granny's right, you
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: know that. Don't be stupid, tam. No, you didn't catch
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: them together, and you don't have any facts or anything,
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: but you got your granny on the case, and clearly
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: something is going on. So thank you to the granny
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: in this letter and for all the granny's out there.
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: Steve. It is so hard to follow this one because
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: who wants to respond after that eloquent display of respect
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: for the elder? A usually want to be respectful of
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: helding the people put come woman all the respect, Yes, elation, admiration,
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: credit because she just gave it up, you know, Shirley
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: trying to go Christian on this wheen honor thy mother
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: and their father, and our days on this earth shall
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: be long, you know. And I'm I'm rether fit to
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: run the risk of getting cut off early because I
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: don't really I see some other stuff in this letter,
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: So here I go.
- 1:01:25Speaker 6: Hot.
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: Did he know where to put it? You've been married
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: for six years and everything was going good until you
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: One of your closest friends moved on your side of town.
- 1:01:35Speaker 5: She got divorced, and she bought a new house closer
- 1:01:37Speaker 5: to where y'all live.
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: And when she and her husband started to have problems,
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: your husband stopped talking to him because he ain't like
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: the way her husband treated her. Well, obviously he had
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: some information, y'all didn't have because they was boys, and
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: he kind of went, you old dog, that's like real stink. Damn.
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: He didn't stop, So that's not true. My granny lives
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: with us. See right there, right now, my granny lives
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: with us. Let's talk about the decisions that you all
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: can make to make. You have to live with your grande,
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: not your children, your grandkids, Your mama and your daddy
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: didn't want her staying with Tea, so now staying with you.
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: Some people know some stuff about granny that you don't know.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: And she didn't understand why your husband cares so much.
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: I don't get into discussions about my husband in marriage
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: with my grandmama because she finds fault with everything, and
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: why she at your house. That's why she ain't at
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: your mama's house or your daddy's house. Yeah, she'd have
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: broke up a lot of families. I've bit you.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: Hold that thought, Steve, hold that thought. We'll have part
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: two of your response coming up at twenty three minutes
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: after the hour today's Strawberry Letters subject how did he
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: know where to put it? We'll come back with part
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: two of Steve's response right after this. You're listening Steve
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:03:23Speaker 7: Nothing's worse than pets bouncing on and off your bed
- 1:03:26Speaker 7: on cold nights, waking you up every time. Mattress firms

- 1:03:33Speaker 7: temper pedic with a unique material that absorbs motion for
- 1:03:37Speaker 7: undisturbed rest.
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: Shop mattress firms once.
- 1:03:40Speaker 7: A year's sale and clearance and save up to five
- 1:03:43Speaker 7: hundred dollars on select temperpeding mattresses with next day.
- 1:03:47Speaker 12: Delivery Restrictions apply. Next day delivery available on select mattresses
- 1:03:51Speaker 12: and subject to location. Ce store for details.
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: All right, come on, Steve. Let's recap today's strawberry letter,
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: the subject how did he know where to put it?
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: Yeah, you've been married for a while. Your closest friend
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: got divorced, bought a house over there by you and
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: your husband. Your husband started having problems, and when they
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: started having problems, your husband stopped talking to her husband
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: because he said he didn't like the way he treated her.
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: Your grandmama lived with y'all, and she didn't understand why
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: my husband cared so much. Because your grandmama knows it.
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: I don't get into discussions about my husband in marriage
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: with my grandmother because she finds fault with everything. Why
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: is your grandmama staying with y'all? Why is the grandmama
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: not staying with her daughter or her son? Why she
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: got to skip over and stay with her grandkids because
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: she then already broke up your MoMA and daddy's home,
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: so they wasn't gonna have it. So now she over here,
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: and now guess what she fit to break yours up?
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: Because she find fault with everything. Everybody don't know long
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: little negative granny living with them, but you don't know
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: no better. When my clothes friend would stop by her house,
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: your grandmama would keep eye on her. She didn't like
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: my husband having kind words for my friend at all.
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: I took her with a grain of salt. Your grandmama
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: dun'ky nothing. This old bit at the old lady by herself,
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: that's what she is. Old bit at the old woman
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: by herself staying with her grandkids. Can't stay with her
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: own kids, got to stay with her kids kids. She
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: got a skipper generation because she'dne broke up too many houses.
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: And everybody know about your grandmamaself, y'all, because you still
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: remember her giving you candy. Well she got different kind
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: of CANDYNI it is called poison. What, Yeah, she got
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: a different kind of can denied, it's called poison. Because
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: my granted is so negative most of the time. That's
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: all the time. What is your old done that has
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: caused you to have to live with your grandkids? Because
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: she negative? Granted, don't like nobody, And I got news
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: for you. Don't nobody like granny, but I but I
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: did stop my friend from popping up at our house
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: because when she went out so I could see her
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: all dressed up nicely, Granny said, that was more for
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: my husband than's for lead. Granny just keeps staying the
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: part up. See, Granny ain't got no man. Granny ain't
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: had a man in a long time. Granny man left off.
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: Now she mad about everybody man. Now now, ain't nobody
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: got a good man? Because so Granny all me and
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: his dogs, yours, your mama's, your daddy's, everybody.
- 1:06:37Speaker 5: Granny are walking home records.
- 1:06:42Speaker 10: There.
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: My friend had a housewoman party.
- 1:06:44Speaker 5: Now this what threw me.
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: Then my friend had a housewoman party and she needed
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: wood for her fireplace. What throw a party and say, hey, man,
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: pranks some wood and bring some drake, bring some potato,
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: Sally bringing cups, bring plate, bring a little meat with you,
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: bring some who throw a party? And asked for some firewood.
- 1:07:14Speaker 6: That was just odd to me.
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: I ain't out with a lot of parties. I had
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: a lot of stuff under my arm. I ain't ever
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: walked in with some logs, n I've never had a
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: bought wine, alcohol, cheese, trees. I just showed them with
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: some stuff. Gives bags, not no wood though, so I
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: told her we bring something. My husband came in a
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: few minutes after us, and I asked him if he
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: was going to get the wood. He said, he already
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: put it out back.
- 1:07:47Speaker 3: Now.
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: My friend thanked him, and Granny asked, now see right here,
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: why is Granny at the part? Granmy knows that over
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: to the party. My real thank him, and granted asked
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: how he knew where to put it? A hush fell
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: over the room. How he knows where to put the
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: wood because wood has a double meaning and where to
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: put it? So now that's why the hush fell over
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: the room, because he can make this double connotation statement, well,
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: how you know where to put it? Now everybody got
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: to figure out what is her old talking about? Put
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: what where? Put the wood where? Because we're talking two
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: things now? So then the hush fell on the roof,
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: he said, He assumed it went on the patio. Granted,
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: then asked how he knew where the patio was. Well,
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: all hell for all patios is in the back. If
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: if it in the back, it ain't a patio. If
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: it's in the front, it's a poach. Right, see that
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: old statement right there? How he know where the patio
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: is because all patios is in the back. Man? Kind
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: of ignorant?
- 1:09:04Speaker 3: Is that?
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: Because she a home record, he said, He assumed it

- 1:10:55Speaker 1: to resolve to be more positive and healthy. A new
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: survey has found that the average person has up to
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: eleven negative thoughts every day. These include things like I'm
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: not good enough, I'm overweight, or I'm too fat, and
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: I'm not good looking, or I'm ugly. Those surveys said
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: these negative thoughts keep them from achieving their goals, including
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: getting healthy. So, Steve, I got to turn to you
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: on this one. I have heard you say out of
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: your own mind. We all have on this show.
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: Yes, well I've never said I'm ugly, I'm not attracted. Yes,
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: that's still unhealthy, though I tell you it was even
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: more unhealthy looking in the mirror.
- 1:11:38Speaker 5: Actual ugly.
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: Is really unhealthy.
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: Denial right there has to stop. It sounds.
- 1:11:51Speaker 2: At that and all you see is cute. Come on
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: out that mirror, because now you're trying to force upon
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: those of us who know it's something that we're not
- 1:12:04Speaker 2: willing to accept.
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: But you don't consider yourself attractive and Tommy thinks he's
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: dropped dead gorgeous.
- 1:12:12Speaker 13: Fine that I'm not gonna quit thinking this way, and
- 1:12:14Speaker 13: I'm sorry, I'm not doing it.
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: I'm not gonna pick just said you were in denial.
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: I don't care what he's ugly behind seeing. See, we
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: got a problem here. We trying to understand where Tommy coming.
- 1:12:31Speaker 5: From, because.
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: He's dealing with you know, like like you can have
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: a spraining arm, you can have a fraction arm, you
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: can have a broken arm, and you can compound fraction.
- 1:12:48Speaker 5: Tommy's dealing with a compound fraction.
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: I knew you were gonna say, I knew you were so.
- 1:12:56Speaker 5: And wait whoa Okay, okay, let me say on to cuteness.
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: Let me say this and this last time has he
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: heard anybody say, hey, with your little cute I went
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: to the chi practice. Oh okay, yes, yes.
- 1:13:18Speaker 13: And I have been I have been stretched, I have
- 1:13:22Speaker 13: been realigned, and I am now by ten and a half,
- 1:13:26Speaker 13: I am now I've been elongated.
- 1:13:31Speaker 2: I've been elongated.
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: I'm telling you you ain't got the lie crea.
- 1:13:38Speaker 6: You know what you know.
- 1:13:38Speaker 13: When we get off, when we get off to that
- 1:13:40Speaker 13: this one, I'm gonna measure my height and take a
- 1:13:42Speaker 13: picture of it.

- 1:14:02Speaker 1: Good morning, Happy New Year From the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, Steve,
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: this one's for you. This one's from Derek on Facebook.
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: He writes, I'm finally starting dating again after a divorce
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: and two years off. These days, I share custody of
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: my daughter with my wife, and I have my little girl,
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: Kelsey over every other weekend. The downside is that I
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: made the mistake of introducing the woman I've been seeing
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: to my daughter and have regretted it ever since. Even
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: though she's not a parent and has only known my
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: daughter for less than a month, she somehow got the
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: idea in her head that she has the right to
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: punish and discipline Kelsey when she comes over. It's led
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: to some uncomfortable moments and it needs to stop. Is
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: this the relationship killer that I think it is? The
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: relationship with my little girl is far more importan and
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: there's a line that's going to be crossed if I
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: don't control its.
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: Yeah, just a deal break, especially if she don't understand
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: that you better and and if the mama find dude Kilsey, Mama,
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: man bro, because I'm a little stunned anyway, what you
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: finally started dating after your divorce and waited two years
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: You do that? Yeah, I'm not really sure that's the truth, bro,
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: because me and we don't. We don't wait two years
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: to date.
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: That's not who we are, even if you have a
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: little girl to raise or whatever. Maybe he was concentrating on.
- 1:15:44Speaker 5: His no, no, no, she got to go to sleep though.
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: Somebody coming over here, somebody coming over here when baby
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: goes bed right now?
- 1:15:57Speaker 5: Two years we feel the move your bed time up.
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: You put the lock on your they can't get out.
- 1:16:05Speaker 4: Two years, ben down, but you moved it up to
- 1:16:13Speaker 4: bedtime was at nine?
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: What you moved it up to six thirty? We ain't
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: got no more TV's in here, nothing you our pad
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: going off? All the internet in this house go off
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: at five thirty.
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: Daddy, I'm not sleepy.
- 1:16:33Speaker 2: I didn't ask you when you sleep. I said go
- 1:16:36Speaker 2: to bed. I don't give it what you're doing now, Daddy.
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: I need some help with my homework.
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: I need I don't know nothing about that homework. I
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: got somebody coming over here. We can get to f
- 1:16:48Speaker 2: we can deal with the f.
- 1:16:51Speaker 4: You want me to fail?
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: You want me to fail?
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: Are you helping?
- 1:17:00Speaker 10: Derek?
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: He needs your help here Steve, what what?
- 1:17:04Speaker 3: What?
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: He won't shall? He wants to know?
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: Is this a relationship killer that he thinks it is? Yeah, okay,
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: so he should do.
- 1:17:13Speaker 5: She discipline in his baby and dog. You got to
- 1:17:16Speaker 5: get some permissions.
- 1:17:18Speaker 2: You've only been around for one month and you're talking
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: about she gonna cross the line. You already know what
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: is going bro, Lady woman whooped whooped off.
- 1:17:29Speaker 3: A cow?
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: All right, here's another one, another relationship question from Tracy
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: Steve uh. This is from Steve Steve Harvey dot com.
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: It's been over two years since I was in a relationship.
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: I have a pretty active social life. I meet lots
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: of new people, but I just don't ever seem to
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: meet anyone that I'm particularly trackeded to. I'm afraid that
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: I'm going to spend the rest of my life alone.
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: Is there something wrong with me? Should I be doing
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: something different?
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: YEP? First of all, why don't you quit putting that
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: in the atmosphere that it's something wrong with you? Am
- 1:18:08Speaker 2: I doing something wrong? I'm socially in EP? Why don't
- 1:18:13Speaker 2: you stop saying that. It's been two years of you
- 1:18:15Speaker 2: saying that, and so you keep attracting the wrong people
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: and you keep claiming that you're socially in f and
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: so you keep winding up in the same situation.
- 1:18:26Speaker 5: Positive affirmation is the first thing.
- 1:18:28Speaker 3: You need to do.
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: I like that, Steve.
- 1:18:31Speaker 5: Every day, in every way, I'm getting better and better.
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: All right, thank you, that was good. Coming up at
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: twenty minutes after the hour, we'll have more of the
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this.
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: Hey say, was hanning?
- 1:18:46Speaker 10: Y'all?
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: This cip mailhus a game here hot Yoda king Good.
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: This is Kim Whitley, This is Frankie a maze.
- 1:18:54Speaker 3: And you listen to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: So Steve our last break, we were talking trying to
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: help Tracy, who said, you know, it's been two years
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: since she's been in a relationship. She has a pretty
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: active social life. She meets new people, but she doesn't
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: ever meet anyone that she's interested in. And she's asking herself,
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: is there something wrong with her? Should she be doing
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: something different? And you said, don't put that out in
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: the atmosphere first.
- 1:19:28Speaker 5: What you know, like, is this something wrong with her?
- 1:19:31Speaker 5: I think only she can answer that question.
- 1:19:34Speaker 2: But now What a lot of mistake a lot of
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: women do is they listen to other people talking about girl,
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: you too picky and all that is here. And there's
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: no such thing as being too picky unless you're underqualified
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: for the things that a man has to be qualified for. See.
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: If you're looking for a man that's all that, then
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: I hate to tell you these ladies, but you need
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: to be all that too, right. That's a huge part
- 1:19:59Speaker 2: of it. And a lot of times you go in
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: here and you dump all this on this man, but
- 1:20:04Speaker 2: then the man wants something dumped on him too. And
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: if you're not gonna be what you're looking for, what
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: do you think a man who has all that? Y'all
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: think we just out here because you got some lashes on,
- 1:20:16Speaker 2: That's what you think. If you watch the African Famous
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: and Rich, you've seen that show? Uh huh, yes, I
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: don't know how they open their eyes with them show.
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: Heavy lids.
- 1:20:33Speaker 2: Man, you touch your eyebrow?
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: Fall coming up in thirty three minutes, thank you, Steve.

- 1:25:59Speaker 2: Who you know, on the news and stuff like this,
- 1:26:08Speaker 2: who seem that are in such despair, you know, and

- 1:26:18Speaker 2: talking about how hopeless their life seem to them.
- 1:26:24Speaker 5: I want to offer.
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: People something to think about. Be very very conscious of
- 1:26:37Speaker 2: the word hopeless, you know, Be very very conscious of
- 1:26:45Speaker 2: feeling hopeless, because it can happen if you're not careful.
- 1:26:55Speaker 2: And I've had to end my life on several times.
- 1:27:00Speaker 2: Become very acutely aware of this trick that the devil
- 1:27:04Speaker 2: uses and if the devil can get you to feel
- 1:27:08Speaker 2: like it's hopeless, oh man, he's got you.
- 1:27:12Speaker 5: He's got you right where he wants you.
- 1:27:15Speaker 2: I remember several times, man, when I was homeless, Man,
- 1:27:20Speaker 2: when I just didn't see this career going the way
- 1:27:25Speaker 2: I wanted it to go. I was just in some
- 1:27:28Speaker 2: dark places.
- 1:27:29Speaker 6: Man.
- 1:27:31Speaker 2: You know, look, man, when you don't have a house
- 1:27:33Speaker 2: to go to at the end of the day, it's
- 1:27:35Speaker 2: it's it's a it's a it's a it's a debilitating
- 1:27:39Speaker 2: thought repeatedly to go wow, to not be able to
- 1:27:43Speaker 2: say I'm going home, Cause you know, I mean, no
- 1:27:46Speaker 2: matter how rough a day you have, if you have
- 1:27:49Speaker 2: the comfort to say, man, well skip all this, I'm
- 1:27:52Speaker 2: going home, and you can turn that key and get
- 1:27:55Speaker 2: into this place that you stay as no matter what
- 1:27:59Speaker 2: it looks like, a how small or how big, it's
- 1:28:02Speaker 2: your home. If you can turn that key and go
- 1:28:04Speaker 2: in there and shut that door and lock out them
- 1:28:05Speaker 2: troubles for a minute, it gives you a moment to
- 1:28:08Speaker 2: regroup yourself. So not having the comfort of saying I'm
- 1:28:13Speaker 2: going home was rough on me at times, and it
- 1:28:16Speaker 2: was times where the devil would get into my mind
- 1:28:20Speaker 2: and say, man, it ain't no way out of this.
- 1:28:26Speaker 2: You just homeless. You not getting these gigs. Ain't nobody
- 1:28:31Speaker 2: calling you all this? You want to be on TV,
- 1:28:35Speaker 2: you want to be a star, Steve, this is hopeless.
- 1:28:43Speaker 2: I had to catch myself because hope is a very
- 1:28:49Speaker 2: important thing to cling on to, because sometimes you only
- 1:28:54Speaker 2: have hope to cling on to.
- 1:28:57Speaker 5: And you've got to keep hope alive.
- 1:29:00Speaker 2: I remember when Jesse Jackson used to say it, keep
- 1:29:02Speaker 2: hope alive, keep hope alive. People don't know how really
- 1:29:05Speaker 2: important that is. To keep hope alive, not faith, not belief,
- 1:29:13Speaker 2: not being factual that I know this is gonna happen.
- 1:29:16Speaker 2: But if you can just say the mere words, man,
- 1:29:21Speaker 2: I hope I be okay. Man, I hope this workout.
- 1:29:26Speaker 2: I hope God hear me. I hope I get a break.
- 1:29:31Speaker 2: I hope this don't last too much longer.
- 1:29:34Speaker 5: Just say hope.
- 1:29:36Speaker 2: Just say it.
- 1:29:39Speaker 5: I'm telling you, man, clinging on to that word hope.
- 1:29:42Speaker 2: Hope is the beginning of faith, because, like I say
- 1:29:46Speaker 2: all the time, sometimes I used to hope I got
- 1:29:49Speaker 2: a bike for Christmas. I used to hope I would
- 1:29:51Speaker 2: get a toy. I used to hope you know that
- 1:29:55Speaker 2: I graduated. I hope I get a job one day. Well, eventually,
- 1:29:59Speaker 2: as I got older, all that hope and I used
- 1:30:02Speaker 2: to do, eventually I learned how wow, this is really faith.
- 1:30:08Speaker 5: Faith is a belief in things that you cannot see.
- 1:30:11Speaker 5: But it begins with hope, because when you're young, it's
- 1:30:15Speaker 5: just hope. I hope Santa Claus bring me this. I
- 1:30:19Speaker 5: hope I get a bike. Man, I hope I get
- 1:30:22Speaker 5: that die house. I hope I get that on this year.
- 1:30:27Speaker 5: I hope I hope he asked me out. I hope
- 1:30:30Speaker 5: she say yes. I hope she'll be my Valentine. I
- 1:30:34Speaker 5: used to hope for so many things, man, But as
- 1:30:38Speaker 5: I got older, I understood that hope was just a
- 1:30:41Speaker 5: pure essence. There's a scripture, man, I wish I could
- 1:30:46Speaker 5: think of it right now. Faith is the substance of
- 1:30:48Speaker 5: things hope for it. That's it, and the evidence of
- 1:30:53Speaker 5: things not seen. Faith is the substance of things hopeful.
- 1:31:01Speaker 2: That's why you got to keep saying, I hope even
- 1:31:03Speaker 2: if you ain't strong enough to believe.
- 1:31:06Speaker 6: Hope.
- 1:31:08Speaker 2: It's the substance of faith. Because faith is the substance
- 1:31:14Speaker 2: of things. Hope for You can't have faith without first hoping.
- 1:31:19Speaker 2: I hope this happened.
- 1:31:20Speaker 3: Well.
- 1:31:21Speaker 5: Faith is a belief in things that you cannot see.
- 1:31:23Speaker 2: So what are you hoping it? What are you thinks
- 1:31:25Speaker 2: that you cannot see something you hope for? You got
- 1:31:28Speaker 2: to keep hope alive, y'all. When you feel like you
- 1:31:31Speaker 2: ain't gonna make it, just keep saying, I hope, Lord,
- 1:31:34Speaker 2: I hope God, I hope Lord, Please, I hope. And
- 1:31:39Speaker 2: I'm telling you he'll come to you. He'll come to you.
- 1:31:42Speaker 2: And faith is the substance of things hope. For hope
- 1:31:47Speaker 2: turns into faith if you just keep saying it. Keep
- 1:31:50Speaker 2: hope alive, y'all. Always just keep saying you hope. That's
- 1:31:55Speaker 2: the beginning of things happening and changing in your life.
- 1:31:58Speaker 2: Those are my closing remarks. And they'll hope that something
- 1:32:00Speaker 2: for somebody. Hey, listen, y'all, talk to God.
