Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome. It is Verdic with Ted Cruz Ben Ferguson with you.
- 0:04Speaker 1: It's the Weekend Review, and here are the big stories
- 0:06Speaker 1: that you may have missed that we talked about. First up,
- 0:09Speaker 1: the media lied using a five year old boy to
- 0:12Speaker 1: slander Ice and Homeland Security agents. So what is the
- 0:16Speaker 1: real story. Well, it's not what they told you, and
- 0:19Speaker 1: we'll have it for you. Also, the nitty gritty on
- 0:22Speaker 1: the Trump accounts and how it could literally transform America
- 0:26Speaker 1: into a different place for young people. This is a
- 0:29Speaker 1: major opportunity for so many American families, So how can
- 0:32Speaker 1: you get involved in it? We'll explain it as well.
- 0:35Speaker 1: And finally, a man that was shot in Minneapolis. They
- 0:38Speaker 1: memorialized him in the media as a kind, loving man
- 0:41Speaker 1: who is just to do gooder. Well, now more of
- 0:44Speaker 1: the story's coming out, and that man wasn't so peaceful
- 0:47Speaker 1: after all. It's the Weekend Review and it starts right now.
- 0:51Speaker 2: Ice apprehends five year old child. That story was everywhere,
- 0:55Speaker 2: By the way, it's a total lie. It's absolutely false.
- 0:59Speaker 2: In fact, what happened and is Ice came to apprehend
- 1:02Speaker 2: the father. The father ran off and abandoned the five
- 1:04Speaker 2: year old child. And and understandably, Ice was not going
- 1:08Speaker 2: to leave a five year old child alone on the
- 1:11Speaker 2: street in the death outside.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean they wouldn' leave alone period. But the
- 1:16Speaker 1: but the argument that the left has made, I'm like,
- 1:17Speaker 1: let me get this straight. You guys want the kid
- 1:19Speaker 1: to be left alone just to wander the streets of
- 1:21Speaker 1: a city and be alone. That's insane. And then in
- 1:25Speaker 1: the winter when they could freeze death, that's also insane.
- 1:28Speaker 2: They, by the way, found the woman, the mother of
- 1:30Speaker 2: the child. It is reported they found the mother of
- 1:33Speaker 2: the child. They knocked on the door, tried to give
- 1:35Speaker 2: the child back to her. She wouldn't take him. She
- 1:38Speaker 2: closed the door and said, no, I won't take him.
- 1:40Speaker 2: And so, look, the purpose of that story is not
- 1:44Speaker 2: actually factual journalism. It is entirely about telling a story
- 1:49Speaker 2: to pull on people's heartstrings and to cause suburban voters
- 1:54Speaker 2: who are not paying close attention to say, oh, this
- 1:57Speaker 2: has gone too far. If they're shooting moms and nurses
- 2:00Speaker 2: and arresting little kids, clearly it's gone too far. This
- 2:04Speaker 2: is a political campaign, and tragically, it's a political campaign
- 2:08Speaker 2: that is costing people's lives. But because look, the political
- 2:12Speaker 2: campaign is having some real effect.
- 2:14Speaker 3: It is, it is having a fact.
- 2:17Speaker 2: We saw, you know, John Kasick speaking of suburban women.
- 2:24Speaker 2: We saw John Kasik put out a whole video saying,
- 2:28Speaker 2: you know, oh, oh, I'm just I'm hurting so much.
- 2:32Speaker 2: We must stop, we must stop arresting illegals. You know,
- 2:36Speaker 2: Unfortunately that's the target audience. And and in the world
- 2:41Speaker 2: of politics, we've got to realize that we've got to
- 2:44Speaker 2: confront the bad stories with stories that are compelling, and
- 2:48Speaker 2: it's where tone matters, and I would encourage Look, the
- 2:52Speaker 2: administration is doing a fantastic job securing the border. Illegal
- 2:56Speaker 2: crossings have dropped ninety nine percent. It's phenomenal, doing a
- 3:00Speaker 2: terrific job going and arresting violent criminals, murderers and rapists
- 3:05Speaker 2: and gang bangers, which is why we've seen the murder
- 3:08Speaker 2: rate drop twenty percent. We covered that in the last podcast,
- 3:11Speaker 2: that the murder rate has dropped twenty percent across the country.
- 3:15Speaker 3: That's a massive success.
- 3:16Speaker 2: What I think the administration could do better is the
- 3:21Speaker 2: tone with which they're describing this. That immediately when an
- 3:25Speaker 2: incident like this happens, they come out guns blazing, that
- 3:30Speaker 2: we took out a violent terrorist hooray. And the problem is,
- 3:35Speaker 2: particularly for someone not paying attention, if you're being told
- 3:38Speaker 2: this is a mom of three and there's no indication,
- 3:41Speaker 2: you know, she's not waving an ISIS flag or doesn't
- 3:44Speaker 2: have a suicide vest around her, Escalating the rhetoric doesn't help,
- 3:50Speaker 2: and it actually loses credibility. And so I would encourage
- 3:54Speaker 2: the administration to be more measured, to recognize the tragedy
- 3:58Speaker 2: and to say.
- 3:59Speaker 3: We don't want any one anyone's lives to be lost.
- 4:03Speaker 2: And the politicians who are pouring gasoline onto this fire,
- 4:08Speaker 2: they need to stop.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree with you there, and I also think, look,
- 4:11Speaker 1: facts matter. Explaining what happened is very important. The five
- 4:15Speaker 1: year old story is a perfect example. All the morning
- 4:18Speaker 1: news shows, ABCNBCCBS, they led with that story and ran
- 4:22Speaker 1: it into the ground that morning that a five year
- 4:24Speaker 1: old was detained by ice and they didn't correct that story.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Not only is Democratic Party looking for an opportunity, so
- 4:31Speaker 1: is the media and they now believe that like this
- 4:35Speaker 1: civil war and hold this flag up is you know
- 4:37Speaker 1: and planet is we as Democrats were willing to shut
- 4:40Speaker 1: down the government to defund ice. That's going to be
- 4:43Speaker 1: the premise is what I've been told from many in
- 4:46Speaker 1: the media that I've talked to, and some of my
- 4:48Speaker 1: friends on the left. They're like, yeah, we're gonna shut down.
- 4:50Speaker 1: We're justified this time, way more than we were last time.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Last time we really weren't justified very much and shuting
- 4:55Speaker 1: down the government, but we tried it anyway. Now they
- 4:58Speaker 1: actually feel in bolden do you do you think a
- 5:00Speaker 1: government shutdown is going to come? Yes or no?
- 5:02Speaker 3: Yes, one hundred percent?
- 5:04Speaker 1: Yes, okay, and it's going to be tied to this issue, right.
- 5:07Speaker 3: Yes, yes, one hundred percent.
- 5:09Speaker 2: The last government shutdown, which was the longest government shutdown
- 5:12Speaker 2: in US history, Chuck Schumer and the Democrats forced through
- 5:16Speaker 2: really to show his radical base that he was fighting
- 5:19Speaker 2: because he's scared of being primary by AOC. But they
- 5:23Speaker 2: also did it to tee up the issue of healthcare
- 5:25Speaker 2: and the cost of health insurance premiums. Mind you, the
- 5:28Speaker 2: premiums have skyrocketed because of Obamacare, because of their policy.
- 5:33Speaker 2: But they did the shutdown. It was entirely with an
- 5:36Speaker 2: eye towards November that they say, look, we fought like
- 5:39Speaker 2: crazy on health insurance and the mean Republicans didn't give
- 5:42Speaker 2: us what we wanted, which was fifty billion dollars in
- 5:45Speaker 2: corporate welfare subsidies to giant health insurance companies, and that's
- 5:49Speaker 2: why your health insurance has gone up. Now that's factually wrong,
- 5:54Speaker 2: but it is a political narrative they're telling here. They're
- 5:59Speaker 2: going to to tell the narrative, we will not fund
- 6:02Speaker 2: ICE under any circumstances, and we will shut the government down.
- 6:05Speaker 2: And by the way, the media covered for them so much.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Their base was so happy with the shutdown. I think
- 6:13Speaker 2: they perceive very few downsides to shutting the government down. Now,
- 6:18Speaker 2: this shutdown that will happen on January thirtieth will will
- 6:22Speaker 2: likely be smaller than the previous one.
- 6:24Speaker 3: And the reason is we've funded.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Still explain explain why, because does that mean they're being
- 6:29Speaker 1: more strategic in how they're doing it or explain that.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Okay, Now, between the two, we have passed some appropriations bills.
- 6:36Speaker 2: So once appropriations bills are passed, those departments are funding,
- 6:40Speaker 2: so AG that the Department of Agriculture is funded, and
- 6:44Speaker 2: so everything that goes through AG is funded, CJS, Commerce,
- 6:49Speaker 2: Justice and Science that is funded, Energy is funded, water
- 6:52Speaker 2: is funded, Interior environment, Ledge branch, military construction in the VA.
- 6:59Speaker 2: All of those are fund so the shutdown will not
- 7:01Speaker 2: impact any of those. So what would a shut down impact.
- 7:05Speaker 2: It would impact Defense, the Department of War, It would
- 7:09Speaker 2: impact the Department of Labor, It would impact HHS, It
- 7:12Speaker 2: would impact the Department of Education. It would impact the
- 7:16Speaker 2: Department of Transportation and Housing in Urban Development. It would
- 7:19Speaker 2: impact the SEC, the FCC, the independent agencies, And it
- 7:24Speaker 2: would impact DHS, the Department of Homeland Security, and ICE
- 7:29Speaker 2: directly under that. And I think you're going to see
- 7:33Speaker 2: the Democrats force a shut down. And actually you don't
- 7:35Speaker 2: have to take my words for it. Here, let me
- 7:37Speaker 2: read for you what Schumer tweeted out to the world.
- 7:41Speaker 2: He said, quote, what's happening in Minnesota is appalling and
- 7:45Speaker 2: unacceptable in any American city. Democrats sought common sense reforms
- 7:51Speaker 2: in the Department of Homeland Security spending bill, but because
- 7:54Speaker 2: of Republican's refusal to stand up to President Trump, the
- 7:57Speaker 2: DHS bill is woefully inadequate to rein in the abuses
- 8:01Speaker 2: of ICE.
- 8:02Speaker 3: I will vote no.
- 8:04Speaker 2: Senate Democrats will not provide the votes to proceed to
- 8:08Speaker 2: the Appropriations bill if the DHS funding bill is included there.
- 8:13Speaker 2: He is explicitly unequivocally threatening a shutdown.
- 8:17Speaker 3: I think that's what we're gonna see. Come Janus.
- 8:19Speaker 1: And by the way, he's not the only one. So
- 8:21Speaker 1: Elizabeth Warren was responding to another tweet. I want to
- 8:24Speaker 1: read it. It was just the tweet she was responding
- 8:26Speaker 1: to to give it context. Says reminder, DHS legislation that
- 8:30Speaker 1: funds ICE at current levels without policy restrictions is in
- 8:34Speaker 1: the Senate and needs sixty votes to pass. Deadline is
- 8:36Speaker 1: next Friday. Elizabeth Warren puts that out there with this
- 8:40Speaker 1: and she says, quote, I'm a hell no, not a
- 8:42Speaker 1: penny more for ICE. We should not fund this terror.
- 8:48Speaker 1: So she's also jumping on board with this as well.
- 8:51Speaker 1: And then there's other centers have come out and so
- 8:53Speaker 1: this is why I say this isn't a one off.
- 8:55Speaker 1: This is clearly a coordinated attack, is the best way
- 8:58Speaker 1: I can describe it.
- 9:00Speaker 3: Well, Well, here's Chris Murphy on CNN, give a listen.
- 9:03Speaker 4: I want to ask about what you're leader. Chuck Schumber says,
- 9:07Speaker 4: the Democrats are going to vote against a government funding
- 9:10Speaker 4: package that is before the Senate soon and it includes
- 9:13Speaker 4: money for the Department of Homeland Security. How is that
- 9:16Speaker 4: going to play out?
- 9:18Speaker 5: Well, we can't vote to fund this lawless Department of
- 9:22Speaker 5: Homeland Security.
- 9:23Speaker 1: We can't fund this lawless Department of Homeland Security. Center.
- 9:26Speaker 1: That's pretty bold words if you ask me by a
- 9:28Speaker 1: center that clearly is like, hey, we're all on the
- 9:30Speaker 1: same page. This is what we're doing now.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Yeah, Look that's the position of every Democrat. And understand,
- 9:36Speaker 2: this is the same position that is abolish ICE and
- 9:39Speaker 2: abolish the police. They're saying they're going to refuse to
- 9:43Speaker 2: fund the Department of Homeland Security, the department that is
- 9:47Speaker 2: charged with keeping us safe, with securing our border, with
- 9:51Speaker 2: protecting our families, and the Democrats are saying we won't
- 9:55Speaker 2: fund it.
- 9:55Speaker 3: So what will happen.
- 9:57Speaker 2: I think there's a chance we see Congress put together
- 10:00Speaker 2: an appropriations package that funds everything but DHS that that
- 10:05Speaker 2: might be that might pass.
- 10:08Speaker 3: In terms of DHS.
- 10:10Speaker 2: I think the Democrats are going to force a shutdown,
- 10:13Speaker 2: and I think they want it to be extended and
- 10:15Speaker 2: in order.
- 10:16Speaker 1: This is not a short one. To be clear, you
- 10:18Speaker 1: think they want this to be painful, almost like they're
- 10:21Speaker 1: running in the midterms on this issue of ICE.
- 10:24Speaker 2: I think they want to be able to tell their base,
- 10:27Speaker 2: we are defunding ICE, we are abolishing ICE, we are
- 10:31Speaker 2: against law enforcement, we'rew the criminals. That's that's their messaging.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Now, if you want to hear the rest of this conversation,
- 10:38Speaker 1: you can go back and listen to the full podcast
- 10:41Speaker 1: from earlier this week.
- 10:43Speaker 3: Now onto story number two.
- 10:45Speaker 1: All right, center, I want to get back to these
- 10:47Speaker 1: Trump accounts, and let's talk about the nitty gritty of this.
- 10:50Speaker 1: When you look at the dollars and the growing of wealth,
- 10:56Speaker 1: and how this could fundamentally change a country where every
- 11:00Speaker 1: child that is in poverty could get out of poverty
- 11:03Speaker 1: just by having these accounts and talk about where they
- 11:06Speaker 1: could start a small business or be able to pay
- 11:08Speaker 1: for college or different things like that. It is truly
- 11:11Speaker 1: empowering for an entire generation. What we are now starting
- 11:15Speaker 1: with these Trumps accounts. I actually think it's going to
- 11:17Speaker 1: be one of the biggest parts of your legacy ever.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Yeah, look, I think the Trump accounts will be truly transformation.
- 11:23Speaker 2: And I will say it's interesting. I think President Trump,
- 11:26Speaker 2: initially when we laid out the idea to him, he
- 11:29Speaker 2: liked it. But I think as he's as he's seen
- 11:32Speaker 2: more and more what these are going to do. I
- 11:33Speaker 2: think he's really appreciating that these are going to be
- 11:36Speaker 2: a huge part of his legacy when when all of
- 11:39Speaker 2: us are dead and buried, people are still going to
- 11:41Speaker 2: the impact of the Trump accounts is going to echo forward.
- 11:45Speaker 2: And the two massive benefits are Number one, every kid
- 11:49Speaker 2: in America is going to get the benefit of compound growth.
- 11:53Speaker 2: You know, half of the people in America don't own
- 11:55Speaker 2: a single stock and don't own a single bond. And
- 11:58Speaker 2: the impact, well, here to listen to Fox News talking
- 12:01Speaker 2: about just how much wealth kids can accumulate through these
- 12:07Speaker 2: Trump accounts.
- 12:08Speaker 5: You kind of touched on this by age eighteen, right,
- 12:13Speaker 5: you could have three hundred and three thousand dollars by
- 12:17Speaker 5: age twenty eight. It's more than a million if you
- 12:19Speaker 5: do the maximum contributions. If you give no contributions, you're
- 12:23Speaker 5: still shy of six thousand dollars or its ain't nothing,
- 12:26Speaker 5: and then eighteen thousand dollars by age twenty eight. You know,
- 12:29Speaker 5: President Bush forty three pushed this idea about twenty five years.
- 12:34Speaker 1: I mean, you look at just the political willpower of
- 12:37Speaker 1: getting something like this done. It shouldn't take this much,
- 12:40Speaker 1: but this was a major fight center that you had
- 12:43Speaker 1: to go to warwid to get it to happen. And
- 12:45Speaker 1: I don't understand why.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Look, in the tax cut, you were competing with everything else.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Everyone else had a priority, and so it was dividing
- 12:55Speaker 2: the pie. And it was also look, this was something new,
- 12:58Speaker 2: it was major. Getting it through through the Senate Parliamentarian
- 13:01Speaker 2: was a real challenge, and we fought hard and got
- 13:03Speaker 2: it through. And you know, you look at that math.
- 13:08Speaker 2: You know you're not talking about just the kids of
- 13:10Speaker 2: rich people. You're talking about the kids of a single
- 13:14Speaker 2: mom who's waiting tables and the math of that.
- 13:17Speaker 3: So a little girl born this year, she.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Gets the thousand dollars automatically put in the account, and
- 13:24Speaker 2: that can accumulate and grow. But where the real math
- 13:28Speaker 2: is is if their contributions of five thousand a year.
- 13:31Speaker 2: Now those can come from a parent, those can come
- 13:33Speaker 2: from a family member, or those can come from an employer.
- 13:36Speaker 2: And there are two big accelerants that we wrote into
- 13:41Speaker 2: the bill. Number one is the employer piece of it
- 13:44Speaker 2: that the employers think about. To give you a sense
- 13:47Speaker 2: of the scope and magnitude, think back to when Congress
- 13:52Speaker 2: passed section four oh one K of Arissa. That was
- 13:55Speaker 2: decades ago, and I suspect nobody in Congress knew just
- 14:00Speaker 2: how fundamentally they were going to change how Americans save
- 14:03Speaker 2: for retirement. There are right now more than twelve trillion
- 14:09Speaker 2: dollars in four oh one K accounts. It's massive, and
- 14:14Speaker 2: there will be in just a couple of years trillions
- 14:17Speaker 2: of dollars in Trump accounts as well.
- 14:19Speaker 3: The volume of it is massive.
- 14:21Speaker 2: And one of the things that's a real accelerant is,
- 14:24Speaker 2: you know, most big employers match four A one K contributions.
- 14:29Speaker 2: If you're an employee, they'll sometimes employers will contribute directly
- 14:32Speaker 2: to four O one k's. Other times they'll match if
- 14:34Speaker 2: you make a contribution. I think we are going to
- 14:37Speaker 2: see the same thing with Trump accounts, that this is
- 14:39Speaker 2: going to become a standard, a ubiquitous employee benefit that
- 14:44Speaker 2: employers will say, we're going to match your contributions or
- 14:48Speaker 2: contribute directly to the Trump accounts that your kids have.
- 14:52Speaker 2: A bunch of big employers have already announced they're doing that. Actually,
- 14:55Speaker 2: Visa had a very clever thing they announced. They said
- 14:58Speaker 2: you can use your ward points, you can convert them
- 15:01Speaker 2: into money and deposit them in your kids trump accounts.
- 15:05Speaker 2: That's an accelerant to help more dollars get in. And
- 15:09Speaker 2: one of the things about compound growth that you know
- 15:12Speaker 2: is the earlier you invest, the bigger it grows. And
- 15:17Speaker 2: that's one of the things that's really powerful is starting.
- 15:20Speaker 2: You know, if someone starts saving at age forty or
- 15:23Speaker 2: fifty or sixty, so far behind, Yeah, they don't have
- 15:27Speaker 2: a long enough time horizon for it to really grow
- 15:30Speaker 2: into big, big numbers. If you start at age zero,
- 15:34Speaker 2: that gives a long time for that growth to compound.
- 15:37Speaker 3: That's really powerful. The second accelerate.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Go back to the number that you mentioned that Fox
- 15:42Speaker 1: had there. If you do the maximum contribution, you have
- 15:45Speaker 1: a child five grand a year, all right, like five
- 15:48Speaker 1: grand a year. You think about that over I mean
- 15:51Speaker 1: over twelve years at sixty thousand dollars that you put in.
- 15:55Speaker 1: But if you keep going, and I'm putting that perspective
- 15:57Speaker 1: to realize, like, this is not a crazy amount of money.
- 16:00Speaker 1: If you're disciplined, you're talking about a million, ninety one,
- 16:03Speaker 1: nine hundred dollars by age twenty eight. That is unbelievable.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Yeah, And look, look, five thousand a year is about
- 16:11Speaker 2: one hundred bucks a week. And so that can come
- 16:14Speaker 2: from a parent, come from another family member. But the
- 16:16Speaker 2: other accelerant that's really powerful is we wrote this so
- 16:20Speaker 2: that it could accept charitable gifts. So, as you know
- 16:23Speaker 2: Michael and Susan Dell are giving six and a quarter
- 16:27Speaker 2: billion dollars, they're giving two hundred and fifty dollars to
- 16:30Speaker 2: every child under ten who lives in a zip code
- 16:34Speaker 2: where the median income is one hundred and fifty thousand
- 16:36Speaker 2: and less or less. That is a massive contribution. Brad Gershner,
- 16:41Speaker 2: who came up with the idea for the Trump accounts
- 16:43Speaker 2: and who was my partner in getting this done, and
- 16:46Speaker 2: we worked hand in hand. Brad has announced he's doing
- 16:49Speaker 2: the same thing for the state of Indiana, two hundred
- 16:52Speaker 2: and fifty bucks for every kid under five, but it's
- 16:54Speaker 2: going to be about two hundred and fifty million dollars
- 16:56Speaker 2: that he's giving, and same thing targeted for kids in
- 17:01Speaker 2: zip codes with the media income as one hundred and
- 17:03Speaker 2: fifty thousand or less. I think you're going to see
- 17:05Speaker 2: lots of people doing charitable contributions. That is really really powerful,
- 17:11Speaker 2: and it's something President Trump is encouraging. It's something I'm
- 17:14Speaker 2: encouraging every employer to do this. I'm encouraging philanthropists. And
- 17:19Speaker 2: by the way, Michael Dell has said he's not done
- 17:21Speaker 2: at six and a quarter billion. He's talked about giving
- 17:23Speaker 2: a lot more money than that. One of the cool
- 17:26Speaker 2: things about this is it's infinitely scalable. So Michael Dell
- 17:30Speaker 2: has more than one hundred million dollars. If you're thinking
- 17:34Speaker 2: about where to give your money away in philanthropy, there
- 17:36Speaker 2: are not a lot of charities that can take.
- 17:37Speaker 3: Amounts that big.
- 17:39Speaker 2: This is infinitely scalable, and so it has a potential
- 17:43Speaker 2: really to accelerate the wealth creation for kids.
- 17:48Speaker 1: As before, if you want to hear the rest of
- 17:50Speaker 1: this conversation on this topic, you can go back and
- 17:53Speaker 1: dow the podcast from earlier this week to hear the
- 17:56Speaker 1: entire thing. I want to get back to the big
- 17:59Speaker 1: story number three of the week. You may have missed,
- 18:02Speaker 1: all right, Senata, I want to get into this other story,
- 18:04Speaker 1: that is the media and the bias in the media
- 18:07Speaker 1: and the narrative they've been pushing in Minnesota, specifically with
- 18:13Speaker 1: this ICU nurse. They turn him into a do gooder.
- 18:17Speaker 1: We then get a video that comes out showing him
- 18:19Speaker 1: attacking ICE agents days before the the fatal confrontation with Ice,
- 18:25Speaker 1: and that part seems to be just disappearing from the
- 18:28Speaker 1: media's coverage.
- 18:30Speaker 2: Well, yeah, look, we have seen with with with the
- 18:33Speaker 2: protests and the riots that are that are unfolding in Minneapolis,
- 18:36Speaker 2: we have seen the corporate media just turn into shameless
- 18:39Speaker 2: propagandist and and they have a narrative, and that narrative
- 18:43Speaker 2: is disconnected from facts and reality, and they're trying to
- 18:47Speaker 2: mislead people.
- 18:47Speaker 3: And and so we've seen that.
- 18:49Speaker 2: We've seen that with the headlines everywhere saying Ice arrested
- 18:52Speaker 2: a five year old boy, and and you know people
- 18:55Speaker 2: read that orre like, Okay, that's crazy, why are you
- 18:56Speaker 2: arresting a five year old?
- 18:57Speaker 3: Well it turns out they didn't. It's false. It was
- 19:00Speaker 3: a lie.
- 19:01Speaker 2: What actually happened is they were they were there arresting
- 19:04Speaker 2: his father, who was an illegal immigrant, and the father
- 19:07Speaker 2: ran away and abandoned the five year old, and so
- 19:08Speaker 2: the five year old is left old alone in the
- 19:11Speaker 2: cold on the streets of Minneapolis. Of course, Ice didn't
- 19:14Speaker 2: just leave the kid there to wander outside. That they
- 19:17Speaker 2: had to take care of him, and in fact, they
- 19:19Speaker 2: tried to return him to his mother. His mother said no,
- 19:21Speaker 2: wouln't let him in the house. And so so that
- 19:24Speaker 2: that's an example. Look, another example, the man who was
- 19:29Speaker 2: shot in Minneapolis, mister Pretty, you're right. The media portrayed
- 19:35Speaker 2: him as this, this peaceful protester, this this ICU nurse,
- 19:38Speaker 2: and and just you saw democrats saying that that Ice
- 19:43Speaker 2: are cold blooded murderers. And that's a flat out lie,
- 19:46Speaker 2: and it's a slander, and it is.
- 19:48Speaker 1: Something you couldn't have One of your colleagues put up
- 19:50Speaker 1: a AI picture on the floor of the Senate. For
- 19:54Speaker 1: goodness sakes, that was not a real picture.
- 19:57Speaker 2: Look, it is designed to be if you lived in dishonest.
- 20:01Speaker 2: And then a couple of days after the shooting, we
- 20:04Speaker 2: had a video that the BBC put out that they
- 20:06Speaker 2: had gotten mister pretty a couple of weeks earlier. And
- 20:10Speaker 2: let's look at the video. For those who are watching
- 20:12Speaker 2: this online, let's look at the video real quickly.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Yeah, and by the way, for those listening right now
- 20:17Speaker 1: on the radio, we'll put this up on social media.
- 20:20Speaker 1: But this shows the man spitting in the face of
- 20:22Speaker 1: ICE agents, kicking the tail out out of their car
- 20:26Speaker 1: in a full on confrontation. Take a listen and watch
- 20:28Speaker 1: if you're watching online.
- 20:30Speaker 6: This is a moment the News Movement filmed on January
- 20:33Speaker 6: thirteenth in Minneapolis, showing a man who appears to be
- 20:36Speaker 6: Alex Pretty interacting with federal immigration agents eleven days before
- 20:40Speaker 6: border patrol shot and killed him. Our footage was analyzed
- 20:45Speaker 6: by the BBC, whose facial recognition technology confirmed his identity
- 20:49Speaker 6: to a ninety seven percent degree of accuracy.
- 20:52Speaker 1: Now the video goes longer than that, and you can
- 20:54Speaker 1: watch it online. But I think the point that so
- 20:57Speaker 1: many people to understand is they were talking about the
- 20:59Speaker 1: accuracy of this video, and hey, it's almost almost positive. Tim, Well,
- 21:03Speaker 1: the family is now confirmed that this is actually him
- 21:07Speaker 1: doing this, kicking out the taillight, screaming f you at
- 21:10Speaker 1: the ICE agents, spitting at the ICE agents, like this
- 21:13Speaker 1: is a man that wanted a confrontation with law enforcement.
- 21:16Speaker 1: He was there for that reason that day and in
- 21:18Speaker 1: the day that unfortunately cost him his life.
- 21:21Speaker 2: Well, that's right, and this was not peaceful protest. In
- 21:26Speaker 2: the video, as you said, he was spitting at ICE agents,
- 21:30Speaker 2: but he also is repeatedly kicking the tail and he
- 21:33Speaker 2: kicks the tailblight out of an suv. I mean, it's
- 21:35Speaker 2: a hard kick that he like knocks it out, and
- 21:38Speaker 2: and that was clearly a violent assault. By the way,
- 21:41Speaker 2: he has his gun strapped on his waistban while he
- 21:44Speaker 2: is attacking law enforcement officers, and the media wanted to
- 21:48Speaker 2: convey it as just you know, he's this peaceful soul. Listen,
- 21:51Speaker 2: if you engage in acts of violence directed at law enforcement,
- 21:57Speaker 2: there is a very real risk that the response to
- 21:59Speaker 2: an act of violence will be the use of force,
- 22:01Speaker 2: and and in some instances can be the use of
- 22:04Speaker 2: deadly force. At any time an American has killed in
- 22:07Speaker 2: an interaction with law enforcement, it is tragic, yes, But
- 22:11Speaker 2: but the media was being deliberately deceptive, uh in in
- 22:16Speaker 2: falsely portraying him as this this peaceful protester, almost like
- 22:20Speaker 2: a non holding a candle by the side of the road.
- 22:23Speaker 2: And and that's not He was clearly uncaptured on video
- 22:28Speaker 2: engaged in in in violent attacks on law enforcement. And
- 22:32Speaker 2: and then in terms of propaganda, I got to say,
- 22:34Speaker 2: MSNBC went even further, and rather than me tell you
- 22:38Speaker 2: what happened, listen to Joe Rogan, because Joe Rogan comments
- 22:41Speaker 2: on just how shameful, shamelessly MSNBC was was acting as
- 22:47Speaker 2: a political propaganda.
- 22:48Speaker 1: Yeah, it was wanting you to root for this nurse,
- 22:51Speaker 1: Like wanted to change who he was so that everyone
- 22:54Speaker 1: would root for him. Here it is Joe Rogan and
- 22:55Speaker 1: and Joe Rogan also talking about his own experience. Uh,
- 22:58Speaker 1: when when he was attacked by the media and they
- 23:02Speaker 1: changed the color of his skin during COVID.
- 23:04Speaker 7: Did you see what they have MSNBC did to his image.
- 23:07Speaker 3: Yeah, they where they were.
- 23:08Speaker 7: They did the opposite of what CNN did to me.
- 23:11Speaker 7: You know, CNN during the COVID times turned me green,
- 23:14Speaker 7: and they made me ugly and look like I was dying.
- 23:17Speaker 7: And they made him handsome so people would be more
- 23:19Speaker 7: sympathetic to him getting shot, Which is kind of wild, Like,
- 23:23Speaker 7: are ugly people less valuable to MSNBC? Less market? That
- 23:28Speaker 7: is crazy to me, Like, look at the difference, Look
- 23:32Speaker 7: at the difference. They shortened up his face, they gave
- 23:35Speaker 7: him a little bit of a tan, they widened his
- 23:37Speaker 7: face a little bit. It seems like they just made
- 23:40Speaker 7: him a little handsomer.
- 23:42Speaker 3: Yeah, a little hot.
- 23:42Speaker 7: They gave him, gave him a bit of that chad jaw,
- 23:44Speaker 7: didn't they They shrunk his nose a little too, didn't
- 23:46Speaker 7: they they did. They shrunk his nose, gave him a
- 23:49Speaker 7: little bit of a handsome jaw so he looks like and.
- 23:53Speaker 6: Made him if he look at the shoulders, it even
- 23:54Speaker 6: looks like they may have plumped up the shoulders.
- 23:57Speaker 7: There a bit, a little bit. Yeah, the one on
- 23:58Speaker 7: the right looks like looks like he's a little plumper. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 24:03Speaker 7: They changed the tone of the color wild. I mean
- 24:08Speaker 7: they changed his teeth man Communist News. Nope, they gave
- 24:11Speaker 7: him veniers. You know, look, get the difference in his teeth.
- 24:14Speaker 7: He's a much more handsome guy. Like that one on
- 24:17Speaker 7: the right is like the handsome brother.
- 24:20Speaker 1: I mean, Senat you want to talk about just straight
- 24:21Speaker 1: up propaganda. This dude. They literally made him jacked. They
- 24:25Speaker 1: gave him muscles, They changed the color of his scrubs
- 24:28Speaker 1: from the picture, they gave him veneers. They even made
- 24:30Speaker 1: his beard look a little bit darker and more full,
- 24:33Speaker 1: changed his nose, Like it was like you went to
- 24:36Speaker 1: AI and you said, hey, make this guy the most
- 24:39Speaker 1: attractive you can, and then we're gonna put that up
- 24:41Speaker 1: on the on TV so that somehow people be rooting
- 24:44Speaker 1: for him a little bit more. It's it's truly amazing
- 24:47Speaker 1: that MSNBC did this, and they haven't actually technically apologized
- 24:51Speaker 1: for it yet. They've put a statement out there, but
- 24:53Speaker 1: that's about it.
- 24:54Speaker 2: Yeah, understand, there is zero dispute that MSNBC did this.
- 24:57Speaker 2: In fact, MSNBC put out a statement they said editor's note,
- 25:02Speaker 2: ms now swapped out the original thumbnail thumbnail image for
- 25:06Speaker 2: this video. The previous thumbnail image was an AI enhanced
- 25:10Speaker 2: image of Alex Predding, so they've acknowledged they used AI
- 25:14Speaker 2: to significantly change his appearance and to make him markedly
- 25:18Speaker 2: better looking and look I looked online. As far as
- 25:22Speaker 2: I can tell, MSNBC has not apologized. Nobody has been fired.
- 25:26Speaker 2: If they are in fact a news organization, they pretend
- 25:29Speaker 2: they are.
- 25:29Speaker 1: Fire somebody immediately.
- 25:31Speaker 2: Their job is to report the news and report facts.
- 25:33Speaker 2: Not only were they not reporting facts, they were lying
- 25:36Speaker 2: to their viewers. They were creating a fabricated and false
- 25:40Speaker 2: image to change the facts to fit their political narrative.
- 25:45Speaker 2: And any journalistic outfit with any integrity would fire whoever
- 25:50Speaker 2: was responsible would go on air and apologize and say
- 25:54Speaker 2: we violated our integrity. The fact that MSNBC doesn't think
- 25:58Speaker 2: they need to shows just how much the corporate media.
- 26:02Speaker 2: They are political liars. They are not even attempting or
- 26:06Speaker 2: pretending to be journalists.
