- 1:41Speaker 1: to turn them out. Turn you haven't got to turn
- 1:44Speaker 1: them out? Then turn the water. The water got Come
- 1:58Speaker 1: Come on your baby, I sure will. Good morning everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 1: You are listening to the voice, Come on dig me now,
- 2:08Speaker 1: one and only. Steve Harvey's got a radio shop. Yeah, man,
- 2:12Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio shop. Trying to do something
- 2:15Speaker 1: with it too, man. Uh you know, um, I was
- 2:19Speaker 1: having a conversation the other day with a young person
- 2:23Speaker 1: and they were telling me how they felt that their
- 2:26Speaker 1: life was stuck, that their life was in a rut,
- 2:30Speaker 1: that they didn't know what to do next. And one
- 2:35Speaker 1: of the things that was causing them this sadness or
- 2:39Speaker 1: this depression. I mean, they really really into something right now.
- 2:43Speaker 1: One of the things that was causing it was the
- 2:46Speaker 1: fact that they had made a list of things they
- 2:51Speaker 1: wanted to accomplish by a certain age, and that age
- 2:57Speaker 1: they just had a birthday recently and they were looking
- 3:02Speaker 1: at the list and the list hadn't been fulfilled, and
- 3:08Speaker 1: because that list hadn't been fulfilled, they were really really
- 3:14Speaker 1: sad about it, you know. Um one of the things
- 3:18Speaker 1: that they had on the list was marriage, kids, and
- 3:25Speaker 1: I don't know everything else that was on the list,
- 3:27Speaker 1: but that was one of them. And because she had
- 3:30Speaker 1: reached a certain age and she wasn't married, and she
- 3:32Speaker 1: didn't have the kids, and she had just celebrated her birthday,
- 3:37Speaker 1: she's gone into this mode of sadness whereas really really
- 3:43Speaker 1: taking a toll on her and us. As I was
- 3:47Speaker 1: learning about her situation, I was thinking about it, and
- 3:54Speaker 1: I just wanted to share this with you all this morning.
- 3:56Speaker 1: That one of the things about making a list about
- 4:00Speaker 1: what you want, which I happen to be a proponent of,
- 4:02Speaker 1: I do it myself. I have people have dream boards,
- 4:06Speaker 1: I have a gold sheet I have. I've been doing
- 4:09Speaker 1: it for years. It's a it's a wonderful way to
- 4:13Speaker 1: set goals and to keep it in front of you
- 4:15Speaker 1: as a constant reminder. And I always go over this
- 4:18Speaker 1: goal list every day, you know, I mean I go
- 4:21Speaker 1: of it all the time, every day. Sometimes I miss
- 4:24Speaker 1: a day here and there, but mostly every day I
- 4:26Speaker 1: pulled my gold sheet out and I look at it,
- 4:29Speaker 1: I read it. So I was going to these rallies
- 4:31Speaker 1: and I was learning about, you know, people who were
- 4:34Speaker 1: successful in how they kept their mind writing positive. And
- 4:37Speaker 1: one of the things I learned was to make these
- 4:39Speaker 1: dream boards, these lists, these gold sheets. And in making
- 4:44Speaker 1: a gold sheet, and you make the sheet according to
- 4:48Speaker 1: what you want, think about one thing when you made
- 4:52Speaker 1: your gold sheet, about what you want it? Does your
- 4:56Speaker 1: goal sheet have on it what God wants from you?
- 5:00Speaker 1: Did you ask in any of this what was His
- 5:03Speaker 1: will in your life? You know? Look, man, what we
- 5:07Speaker 1: want oftentimes is not what He wants for us. And
- 5:12Speaker 1: you know, if you're fighting against what you were created for,
- 5:15Speaker 1: if you're fighting against his will, I mean, what do
- 5:20Speaker 1: you want to happen? See? Don't be so hard on
- 5:23Speaker 1: yourself when you look at your goal sheet and you
- 5:25Speaker 1: look at what you've not become what you thought was
- 5:28Speaker 1: a great idea. Don't be so hard on yourself because
- 5:31Speaker 1: you just made a minded mistake. As do most people,
- 5:34Speaker 1: we oftentimes make our goals and set our goals up
- 5:37Speaker 1: without ever considering what is it that God wants from us.
- 5:41Speaker 1: We keep talking about what we want without ever finding
- 5:44Speaker 1: out and knowing what it is God wants for us. Well,
- 5:47Speaker 1: guess what, man, Maybe you're fighting against the grain. Maybe
- 5:51Speaker 1: you're just a salmon heading upstream. That's a tough fight upstream.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Not all salmons get up to the spawning grounds, you know.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Some of them don't make it upstream, you know. But
- 6:00Speaker 1: all of them, nearly all of them, except the ones
- 6:03Speaker 1: that's killed by prey. When they're spawned, they go out
- 6:05Speaker 1: to the ocean. That's cool, because you're going because you're
- 6:08Speaker 1: going with the grain. You're going downstream, you're going with
- 6:11Speaker 1: the flow. That's but when it's time to go against
- 6:15Speaker 1: the grain, it's tough. And a lot of us have
- 6:17Speaker 1: just been going against the grain for all of these years.
- 6:20Speaker 1: But you know what, listen, man, I did it. I
- 6:23Speaker 1: know a lot of people who did it. Very few
- 6:26Speaker 1: people get it right from the very beginning. Man, you
- 6:30Speaker 1: got to stumble through life sometimes sometimes you got to
- 6:33Speaker 1: fall through life. You gotta make a lot of mistakes, man,
- 6:36Speaker 1: But these mistakes are not failures. You know, when you
- 6:39Speaker 1: fail at something, don't look at it as a failure.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Don't look at yourself as a failure because you're thirty
- 6:44Speaker 1: and and your goals ain't reach that you had on
- 6:46Speaker 1: your list, that was your list. What about the things
- 6:49Speaker 1: that's going right. Stop looking at what you're not, take
- 6:53Speaker 1: some time out and thank God for what you are.
- 6:56Speaker 1: How about the fact that you keep waking up to
- 6:58Speaker 1: be thirty. You know you get the pressed about these birthdays.
- 7:01Speaker 1: You really want to throw yourself in some depression. Miss
- 7:03Speaker 1: a birthday, You really got a problem. Now look at
- 7:07Speaker 1: where you are. You keep reaching birthdays. That's a glorious blessing.
- 7:11Speaker 1: You keep waking up. You got your health, You've accomplished something.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Something on your list is done. People spend too much
- 7:18Speaker 1: time on the negative side, and you're just throwing yourself
- 7:22Speaker 1: into depression. So what you wanted to be married by
- 7:24Speaker 1: a certain age and you want it to have kids? Okay, cool,
- 7:27Speaker 1: You could have done all that with the wrong person.
- 7:30Speaker 1: There's a blessing in not being married to the wrong person.
- 7:33Speaker 1: There's a blessing in not having kids and nobody to
- 7:36Speaker 1: help you raise it. There's a blessing in that man.
- 7:38Speaker 1: You're talking to somebody who can tell it to you.
- 7:40Speaker 1: You can marry the wrong person if you want to.
- 7:43Speaker 1: I'm telling you you're gonna be up in some mess
- 7:45Speaker 1: you can't count on. So instead of being angry because
- 7:49Speaker 1: you're not married, you don't have kids, why don't you
- 7:51Speaker 1: thank God demand Maybe he spared you from some misery here.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Maybe you could have married the wrong person. Maybe you
- 7:57Speaker 1: have kids and you're not really ready to be a
- 7:58Speaker 1: mother or a father. You gotta look at the upside, man,
- 8:02Speaker 1: Quit looking at what you don't have. Take some time
- 8:05Speaker 1: to thank God for what you do have. When you
- 8:07Speaker 1: do that, you make more room for blessings to flow
- 8:10Speaker 1: into your life. I'm not saying how God thinks, because
- 8:13Speaker 1: I really don't know, but I'm telling you, if a
- 8:17Speaker 1: person comes to me and I always give a person
- 8:20Speaker 1: something and they never appear grateful, or they never say
- 8:23Speaker 1: thank you, please, no, you can quit coming to me now.
- 8:27Speaker 1: I don't know thats how God works because I've gone
- 8:30Speaker 1: back to him several times without being grateful of thanking him,
- 8:34Speaker 1: and he's feeling my basket up again. So I really
- 8:37Speaker 1: think he's not like that. But I can't make the
- 8:40Speaker 1: call for sure, but I think at one point in time, me,
- 8:44Speaker 1: just just me talking, i'd be a little ticked off
- 8:47Speaker 1: at somebody who was always taking, taking, taking, and never
- 8:51Speaker 1: showing any gratitude. At one point in time, I would
- 8:54Speaker 1: just stop the flow of the take. You know, you
- 8:57Speaker 1: just you can't take no more from me. That's what
- 8:59Speaker 1: I would. Now. I'm not calling it like that because
- 9:02Speaker 1: I ain't him, but I know he's merciful. He's full
- 9:05Speaker 1: of goodness and here and there, and he'll forgive you again.
- 9:08Speaker 1: And thank God he does that because he's shown enough
- 9:10Speaker 1: done it for me. But wow, man, take some time
- 9:13Speaker 1: out today and be grateful for what you have. Stop
- 9:16Speaker 1: complaining about where you're not, and think about where you are,
- 9:19Speaker 1: and then take it from there. And then next time
- 9:22Speaker 1: you make a list, make sure on that list you
- 9:24Speaker 1: have God's will? What does he want for you? Does
- 9:27Speaker 1: God create give everybody a gift and a talent. Some
- 9:30Speaker 1: of us never apply gifts and talents. We head off
- 9:33Speaker 1: in another direction. Then you wonder why your life ain't
- 9:36Speaker 1: where its supposed to be. Have you ever thought about
- 9:38Speaker 1: what God gifted you to do? Have you ever thought
- 9:40Speaker 1: about doing that? And stip skip what you want? I
- 9:43Speaker 1: wanted to play in the NBA, but I gotta tell
- 9:45Speaker 1: you something. At dribbling and shooting and running all at
- 9:48Speaker 1: one time, throwing me off a little bit. You know,
- 9:51Speaker 1: it's so I'm doing what I do. It's pretty cool.
- 9:55Speaker 1: You can look at it that way. Okay, you're listening show,
- 10:02Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. It is here another great day. Oh man,
- 10:06Speaker 1: thank you God, so appreciate it. I feel pretty good
- 10:09Speaker 1: today too. Man. Celebrating life today, I'm celebrating life. And
- 10:13Speaker 1: let me tell y'all something, No matter how it's going
- 10:16Speaker 1: for you, can you understand the fact that at least
- 10:19Speaker 1: it's going. Man, If you can wrap your mind around that,
- 10:24Speaker 1: no matter how it's going for you, at least it
- 10:27Speaker 1: is going. And know this, this too shall pass. Lord
- 10:33Speaker 1: her Mercy, Oh that's good news, This too shall pass.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Did you hear me? Do you hear me? Caller? Do
- 10:40Speaker 1: you hear me? Sherlett? Do you stipp it? Do you
- 10:43Speaker 1: hear me? Junior? Do you himmy thomma too shall pass? Man?
- 10:50Speaker 1: Man o, man o, man junior? What's on your mind today? Man? Well,
- 10:53Speaker 1: let me ask you this, unc man, Let me ask
- 10:55Speaker 1: you how do you even know what you're tim And
- 11:00Speaker 1: he is from God like people who are talking about
- 11:01Speaker 1: I was supposed to be doing this. I'm supposed to
- 11:03Speaker 1: be doing that. How do you know what your a
- 11:04Speaker 1: sigm it is from God? Well, you have to listen. See,
- 11:08Speaker 1: it's two things that I learned to do. I pray
- 11:14Speaker 1: and I meditate. Now I learned the difference between those two.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Praying is talking to God. Meditating is listening to God.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Those two things are very important to come to terms with.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Now Here is the one key element in listening to God.
- 11:35Speaker 1: And I learned this from Bishop Kenneth Oma in Los Angeles.
- 11:40Speaker 1: God's voice has no sin in it's it's sinless. God
- 11:47Speaker 1: ain't told you to go down there and tell them off.
- 11:50Speaker 1: God ain't told you to go over there and straighten
- 11:52Speaker 1: them out. God ain't told you to go quit and
- 11:56Speaker 1: lead him hanging. He didn't. He didn't do that. That
- 11:59Speaker 1: That is not him. That's not his voice. His voice
- 12:04Speaker 1: is peace. His voice is love. So when you are
- 12:08Speaker 1: trying to determine your purpose, when you are trying to
- 12:13Speaker 1: determine your mission in life, when you are listening, he
- 12:17Speaker 1: will reveal to you the loving thing to do, the
- 12:21Speaker 1: peaceful thing will do, the joyful thing to do, the
- 12:27Speaker 1: giving thing to do. That's what he will reveal to you.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Because all of your real purposes in life has something
- 12:36Speaker 1: to do with giving. You are not here to take.
- 12:40Speaker 1: You are here to give and to serve in some
- 12:44Speaker 1: form of fashion. You ain't here to say on nothing.
- 12:48Speaker 1: You are here to give and to serve in some
- 12:51Speaker 1: form or fashion. We all have that cross put on
- 12:56Speaker 1: us at one point in time. It usually starts with
- 12:59Speaker 1: your family and then and then and then it can
- 13:02Speaker 1: go from there or maybe that's your mission in life
- 13:06Speaker 1: to be a servant to your family, provider, a leader, guide.
- 13:10Speaker 1: But everything that has your purpose wrapped up into it
- 13:14Speaker 1: has some giving to it, and it comes with the
- 13:18Speaker 1: very high cost. And the thing that it's gonna cost
- 13:21Speaker 1: you is you're going to have to give up something
- 13:24Speaker 1: that you love dearly to perform the duty of your purpose.
- 13:29Speaker 1: I just told myself something right there. All right, amen,
- 13:33Speaker 1: word day, Yeah, all right. Coming up at thirty two
- 13:38Speaker 1: minutes after the hour, we'll hear from the nephews. He
- 13:41Speaker 1: runs that prank back right after this. You're listening show,
- 13:46Speaker 1: all right, it is time to start your morning off
- 13:48Speaker 1: with the nephew and run that prank back. What you
- 13:50Speaker 1: got now you're wearing my clothes. You're wearing my clothes.

- 14:31Speaker 1: ain't gotta where about going nowhere? You got the clothes
- 14:34Speaker 1: off here, I may show we take everything right here
- 14:36Speaker 1: in the house. Man, Okay, okay, letten listen, man, we
- 14:40Speaker 1: want to call see I've been uh, I've been. I

- 14:59Speaker 1: Uh hen when I had a problem, and now I
- 15:01Speaker 1: came in. But last week sometimes came in, I think
- 15:04Speaker 1: it last thirties. I came in to get my clothes.
- 15:06Speaker 1: I dropped off and uh nah, noah, I had brought
- 15:10Speaker 1: some clothes, probably about three weeks before that. Uh huh.
- 15:13Speaker 1: And and when I got home three you know, like
- 15:16Speaker 1: I said, three weeks. When I got on with that
- 15:18Speaker 1: with them clothes, I realized I was missing a shot.
- 15:21Speaker 1: And uh. And I was like, I don't I don't
- 15:23Speaker 1: know wear my shirt that I come fast. So now
- 15:25Speaker 1: just last week when I came back to pick up
- 15:27Speaker 1: some clothes, and nah, and it's what you know, I
- 15:30Speaker 1: didn't want to raise no no, having in your in
- 15:32Speaker 1: your store with nothing, but what I looked and I
- 15:35Speaker 1: looked at you. You was actually putting it. Took my
- 15:37Speaker 1: money and gave me, gave him a clothes. But when
- 15:39Speaker 1: I when I looked closer at you, I realized you
- 15:43Speaker 1: you you act you actually had on my shirt what
- 15:47Speaker 1: you had it? I had gone on and counter teen
- 15:50Speaker 1: and I went on out to my car and I said,
- 15:51Speaker 1: I'm not gonna wait and calm down, but you was
- 15:53Speaker 1: actually standing there. Give me my clothes. But you had
- 15:57Speaker 1: on my shirt too, Now you bro, you could have
- 16:00Speaker 1: gotten the twenty Yeah you ain't see me in your shirt?
- 16:02Speaker 1: I mean, or what what? What have your clothes? He
- 16:06Speaker 1: left your clothes up here long with the thirty day.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Okay wait wait wait wait wait, hold on, hold on,
- 16:10Speaker 1: hold on? What what what are you saying? If if
- 16:12Speaker 1: people leave their stuff long and thirty day? You start
- 16:15Speaker 1: way now? Now, hold on, hold on, I ain't won't
- 16:18Speaker 1: nobody shirt. Let hold hold on, hold on, don put
- 16:23Speaker 1: on the line about you. You ain't won't know about
- 16:25Speaker 1: the shirt, but you listen. Let me tell you something, man.
- 16:28Speaker 1: I mean I work every day. I work hard, and
- 16:30Speaker 1: I ain't buy my own I buy my own shirt.
- 16:32Speaker 1: I mean, I ain't got to worry nobody that shirts.
- 16:34Speaker 1: A matter of fact, I was just saying because you
- 16:36Speaker 1: said that that you felt like I had your shirt.
- 16:39Speaker 1: I ain't won't nobody the shirt. But okay, we got
- 16:42Speaker 1: coming there him come I'm missing is if it's been

- 17:35Speaker 1: say Wilson on it. But why you ain't leave me
- 17:37Speaker 1: when other people stuff mister Wilson. Look at man, look
- 17:41Speaker 1: at I'm a Christian bro Listen, I'm trying to do

- 18:12Speaker 1: for you. I don't beat you at your stough and
- 18:15Speaker 1: just tell you what you bring your back down here,
- 18:17Speaker 1: Come on down here me. It ain't a danging a duster.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Don't kill you quicking our wheel about coming here trying
- 18:23Speaker 1: to bother me about a shirt when you need to
- 18:25Speaker 1: quit wearing people stuff. See ain't got it? Why no, no, close,
- 18:28Speaker 1: But that's what you're doing. Then you got on my

- 21:27Speaker 1: these stories at the top of the hour, yes, but
- 21:32Speaker 1: right now it is time to ask the CLO Chief
- 21:36Speaker 1: Love Officer Steve Harvey. Phill and Queen says, I've been
- 21:40Speaker 1: going to the same dentist for a while, but since
- 21:43Speaker 1: my divorce, she's becoming a big flirt. At my appointment yesterday,
- 21:48Speaker 1: she rubbed my temples while I waited for her assistant
- 21:50Speaker 1: to come clean my teeth. She's not my type, but
- 21:54Speaker 1: something about her is kind of sexy. Should I cross
- 21:58Speaker 1: the line and do this? Woman? Now? Man not nobody
- 22:02Speaker 1: to be in your mouth, drill, dog, dog, Listen to me,

- 22:19Speaker 1: now when something go wrong, and it will go wrong
- 22:22Speaker 1: because she ain't your type, because once you cross this
- 22:25Speaker 1: line and do it, she gonna expect something that you
- 22:28Speaker 1: ain't willing to give. Next time you sit your ass
- 22:31Speaker 1: in the chair. Okay, show you here now, drill fall off. Yeah,
- 22:47Speaker 1: gums bleeding, no, dog, it ain't worth it. It ain't
- 22:51Speaker 1: worth it. Man, all you can all you can see
- 22:53Speaker 1: it and get a new dinner. Oh okay, then there's that.
- 22:59Speaker 1: I'm in your She's been his dentist for a while. Okay,
- 23:05Speaker 1: all right, Moving on to Catania in Chicago, Catania right
- 23:08Speaker 1: to My husband loves the stunt like he's got big money.
- 23:11Speaker 1: And wherever we go out, he plumps down our Amex
- 23:14Speaker 1: card to paper everyone's drinks and food. He blows our
- 23:18Speaker 1: monthly budgets and I'm sick of it. Why does he
- 23:21Speaker 1: feel the need to flex all the time? Why I'm bawling?
- 23:30Speaker 1: You know, he said, everybody thinking he more than he is,
- 23:33Speaker 1: you know, uh huh, that's all that is I mean,
- 23:37Speaker 1: wake you up at the end of the month, days
- 23:40Speaker 1: coming whoa, whoa. Let me tell you something. I didn't
- 23:48Speaker 1: have some American Express bills idn't open. It is set down,
- 23:53Speaker 1: ye staggering, stagger amount. I've been there. So can she
- 24:02Speaker 1: stop him? I mean, she's sick of it. He blows
- 24:05Speaker 1: the monthly budget. What what can she do? She gotta
- 24:07Speaker 1: talk to you about it. But just dude, he flex it.
- 24:10Speaker 1: You know, I got this man can't express. Everybody see me.
- 24:13Speaker 1: You know that's it's the male ego thing, you know,
- 24:17Speaker 1: cut it up, cut it up? Yea. The bill come
- 24:21Speaker 1: to me every time I sit down a neat so
- 24:23Speaker 1: and I don't. I don't want to flex. It's just
- 24:25Speaker 1: don't know about the paper. I know. I know, we don't.
- 24:29Speaker 1: I'm not picking up my check. When we go out
- 24:31Speaker 1: to Yeah and Shirley, Mississippi, they just sit there and
- 24:37Speaker 1: look thank you, and right on over to the head
- 24:42Speaker 1: of the table over the thing. I'll pick up now,
- 24:44Speaker 1: I'll pick up like I didn't even see it come
- 24:48Speaker 1: to the table. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Timmy here grab it.
- 24:54Speaker 1: But he the only one I grabbed one time, and
- 25:01Speaker 1: I did. I didn't do you write one time, Yeah,
- 25:04Speaker 1: you did. You did me right one time, but then
- 25:05Speaker 1: I saw that other time you opened it close and
- 25:08Speaker 1: set it back on and set it back. I've seen
- 25:15Speaker 1: Boomerang do that right. Moving on Mignon and uh Nasa,
- 25:27Speaker 1: she says, I met a man online and we went
- 25:29Speaker 1: up for dinner. We met up for dinner. He asked
- 25:32Speaker 1: for separate checks after dinner, speaking of check to see,
- 25:35Speaker 1: so I paid my bill and I went and sat
- 25:38Speaker 1: at the bar. Another man bought me a drink, and
- 25:41Speaker 1: the guy I had dinner with got mad. I didn't
- 25:44Speaker 1: consider dinner as a date since I paid for my food.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Was I wrong for leaving him at the table? Well?
- 25:50Speaker 1: I mean, you know, that's just a sign. I don't
- 25:53Speaker 1: know how being think now that you're not supposed to
- 25:56Speaker 1: pay for the food, you know. And all you women
- 25:59Speaker 1: that want to be uh you know or whatever independent
- 26:04Speaker 1: and want to be all, you know, bosses, what do
- 26:07Speaker 1: they call it? That's cool, you can be that. But
- 26:12Speaker 1: I would want to know if a man was willing
- 26:15Speaker 1: to do for me. I was wanting to know, and
- 26:19Speaker 1: you should expect that. And then if he doesn't pay
- 26:22Speaker 1: for your bill like you did, ain't gonna do like
- 26:24Speaker 1: you want to do because he ain't the one he
- 26:27Speaker 1: asked for. Separate check you can how the dude is
- 26:29Speaker 1: this man? A woman's time is value? What about my time?
- 26:33Speaker 1: Oh dog? You pass it out of their chance? You
- 26:35Speaker 1: get get up. She met him online and she just
- 26:41Speaker 1: wants to know. Was she wrong for leaving him at
- 26:44Speaker 1: the table? You say, no, clo as at the table,
- 26:47Speaker 1: you ain't going to say, this relationship ain't going nowhere? Right?
- 26:51Speaker 1: What else he want for free? And he got mad
- 26:54Speaker 1: because she left? Yeah, she got mad because he left.
- 26:58Speaker 1: And then somebody else bought her a drink because at
- 27:00Speaker 1: the bar he know what he got to do. That's right, Yeah,
- 27:05Speaker 1: all right, you did the right thing. Last one, Steve,
- 27:08Speaker 1: last one Deja and Baton Rouge says, I graduated from
- 27:12Speaker 1: college a year ago and I have a decent job
- 27:15Speaker 1: and an apartment. I am four months pregnant and when
- 27:18Speaker 1: I told my parents, they insisted that I moved back
- 27:21Speaker 1: home and dump my boyfriend. Will my parents resent me
- 27:26Speaker 1: if I don't do that? Well, I don't know if
- 27:30Speaker 1: you understand the difficulty that's coming your way, And I
- 27:33Speaker 1: think your parents do, and they realize you're gonna have
- 27:37Speaker 1: to have help and your boyfriend ain't gonna make a commitment.
- 27:43Speaker 1: That's obvious. And your parents are just being parents because
- 27:49Speaker 1: they know the road ahead for you. It's going to
- 27:51Speaker 1: be difficult. And if you live at home, you'll have
- 27:54Speaker 1: some help with the baby, yeah, you know. And if
- 27:56Speaker 1: you stay over there by yourself, it's gonna be hard
- 27:59Speaker 1: because he's not gonna help because if he was already
- 28:05Speaker 1: doing that already, right, he's not gonna help you. And
- 28:09Speaker 1: and it don't make him a bad He don't know
- 28:11Speaker 1: what to do. Yeah, yeah, they're young. They're young. He
- 28:15Speaker 1: doesn't know your parents know that. So you're telling her
- 28:21Speaker 1: to listen to her parents and go ahead and move back.
- 28:24Speaker 1: And well, are they gonna be resentful? Yeah? But I
- 28:27Speaker 1: think you are too, though. And I understand you got
- 28:31Speaker 1: a good job and you graduated in everything, but you know,
- 28:34Speaker 1: I don't think you understand what this pregnancy is now.
- 28:37Speaker 1: You can't know until you have the baby. And I've
- 28:40Speaker 1: heard women say that all the time, you can't know
- 28:43Speaker 1: what this is until that baby get hit. Ye, no idea,
- 28:47Speaker 1: because I didn't know what it was to mind got hire.
- 28:50Speaker 1: I wanted all the mind to go back, you know,
- 28:53Speaker 1: instructions to go back, and our parents didn't have instructions
- 29:00Speaker 1: ready for none of it. Some work. Yeah, so she
- 29:06Speaker 1: doesn't want her parents to resent her, but they're actually
- 29:09Speaker 1: trying if she you know, she doesn't move back home.
- 29:12Speaker 1: I mean, look, she can stay where you are, but
- 29:15Speaker 1: you go need some help, and help is back at
- 29:19Speaker 1: your parents house because you're gonna find out this boy
- 29:21Speaker 1: can't help. Yeah, all right, thank you, sa Hello. Coming
- 29:25Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour, we'll have some
- 29:27Speaker 1: entertainment news for you right after this. You're listening to show. Well,
- 29:34Speaker 1: Nia Long and Emi a Duca have they're they're over
- 29:39Speaker 1: his cheating scandal. Let's just put it like that. They've
- 29:42Speaker 1: broken up. Nia and emy have been together over a decade,
- 29:46Speaker 1: and according to People, Nia said the situation is unfortunate
- 29:50Speaker 1: and painful, and she plans to focus on her children
- 29:54Speaker 1: and rebuilding her life. Nia reportedly moved back to la
- 29:57Speaker 1: from their residence in Boston, but she and Emyu will
- 30:02Speaker 1: co parent their eleven year old son Kez. Wow. She mean, yeah,
- 30:07Speaker 1: what happened Junior? Junior? Nothing? Nothing inside voice, loudest hal
- 30:19Speaker 1: smooth ches, good stitches, Tommy god man, I'm sorry. Nothing,
- 30:26Speaker 1: you're sitting them by highly. I won't say nothing. I
- 30:30Speaker 1: speak very loud. Well, yeah, I'm glad she's getting her
- 30:37Speaker 1: life back together. Yeah yeah, that's love. You love you,
- 30:41Speaker 1: Yeah all right. Also in the entertainment news, Mariah Carey
- 30:45Speaker 1: wants her ex husband Nick Cannon to spend more time
- 30:48Speaker 1: with their eleven year old twins, Moroccan and Monroe. Had
- 30:58Speaker 1: to go ahead to get the zoom meeting plan put
- 31:04Speaker 1: on these kids computers. How many handy coming over today? Right? Yeah?
- 31:13Speaker 1: And twelve press the red button joint meeting will put
- 31:16Speaker 1: the video on so he can see you. Joy ain't
- 31:21Speaker 1: meeting with the video muted, so that all that noise
- 31:23Speaker 1: in the background. All y'all case say hid to him
- 31:26Speaker 1: at the same time, Daddy, daddy, daddy. Yeah. Nick thinks
- 31:33Speaker 1: it's crazy wonderful having all these kids. But how wonderful
- 31:37Speaker 1: can it be if you don't have time to spend
- 31:39Speaker 1: with them. You know, ye can talk, he can talk
- 31:43Speaker 1: all this mess, he won't. Children require time. Yes, it
- 31:50Speaker 1: ain't about the money. Yes, children are expensive, that's a gift.
- 31:55Speaker 1: But what they need more than your money is your time. Yeah,
- 31:59Speaker 1: because what the two children. The two things that children
- 32:02Speaker 1: need require time, guidance, and love the two most important
- 32:07Speaker 1: things to give a child. Guidance and love and uk
- 32:11Speaker 1: guide a person over the phone. Yeah. Yeah. And Nick
- 32:15Speaker 1: Cannon is currently recovering from pneumonia. Remember he was. We
- 32:19Speaker 1: reported he was in the hospital last week. He has
- 32:22Speaker 1: to go split his time amongst his eleven children when
- 32:25Speaker 1: he gets out, and he still has to work. You know,
- 32:28Speaker 1: I think, Well, he did say he needed he had
- 32:34Speaker 1: he needed rest. Yeah, he did say, and then he
- 32:37Speaker 1: already said enough. K y'all getting mad at me? Did
- 32:40Speaker 1: not Nick say he don't need no prayer, prayers and wishes.
- 32:44Speaker 1: He says, no prayers and well wishing. Cool. I ain't
- 32:47Speaker 1: got nothing for you. All I got now is these
- 32:50Speaker 1: damn jokes. Okay, So what's the holidays like in Nick house?
- 32:54Speaker 1: Are gonna be like? For Christmas? Oh Lord, have mercy.
- 32:59Speaker 1: First of all, he gonna forget somethbody horrible. I don't
- 33:08Speaker 1: forgot that, ain't. And then I'm gonna tell you something
- 33:11Speaker 1: right now. It's gonna be the wrong name on some boxes.
- 33:18Speaker 1: It's terrible, And it's gonna be some women expecting way mote. Yeah,
- 33:27Speaker 1: the baby mamas, you mean all of them come to Yeah? Yeah,
- 33:35Speaker 1: Now ain't none of his kids dry. That's a lot
- 33:41Speaker 1: of people, every last one of them kids. Damn me
- 33:45Speaker 1: in the cor sea, he said, dryway full, all these
- 33:52Speaker 1: corse kids. All these kids need help getting buckled in
- 33:56Speaker 1: all this something. Now one of them kids in junior
- 34:08Speaker 1: hate them all damn kids is in nurseries in elementary school. Yeah, man,
- 34:17Speaker 1: ain't now one of them doing more than colors in shape? No,
- 34:22Speaker 1: them colors shape out. Yeah. So our Mariah's kids the
- 34:32Speaker 1: oldest eleven years old? Whatever? Yeah, oh God, think of
- 34:47Speaker 1: your eleven year old hot dumb was dump I got one.
- 34:53Speaker 1: They ain't even teenagers yet. No, he can't teach now
- 34:58Speaker 1: one of them how to drive. He don't even know
- 35:03Speaker 1: no idea. See I see people coming. You know, Steve
- 35:07Speaker 1: how to do a better job with his kids. Hey man,
- 35:09Speaker 1: my kids grown, my kids off, making decisions on their own.
- 35:12Speaker 1: I can't stop my kids doing damn. Nah, you gonna
- 35:16Speaker 1: see though. Oh it's coming. M h hard to watch
- 35:23Speaker 1: leven of them. They can't even ride nowhere together. They
- 35:28Speaker 1: can't hell na caravan all the time. Yeah, which one
- 35:34Speaker 1: of them kids know how to drive a bus? The bus?
- 35:39Speaker 1: When they got gonna get their brothers and sisters. What
- 35:41Speaker 1: they can't from minute, Van ain't gonna cut it. You
- 35:44Speaker 1: need two sprunters. No, Tommy, Tommy, there's some people gotta
- 35:53Speaker 1: go with him. He needs to killy nanny huh oh,
- 35:57Speaker 1: teachers count or he need a need to play. He
- 36:02Speaker 1: need alright, he need all right, coming up with twenty
- 36:07Speaker 1: minutes after the hour, we'll have more. You're listening to
- 36:19Speaker 1: morning show. All right, it is time now for tell
- 36:21Speaker 1: me something good. Here's some good news. Music producer Metro
- 36:25Speaker 1: Booming uh huh partnered with the Stephen Marjorie Harvey Foundation
- 36:31Speaker 1: UH to spotlight single moms. Metro purchased tickets for twenty
- 36:34Speaker 1: six single moms along with their children to attend the
- 36:37Speaker 1: Atlanta thousands in Pittsburgh Steelers game. However, TMZ reports that
- 36:42Speaker 1: Metro himself chose not to attend so the mothers would
- 36:45Speaker 1: be the focus of the event. The Mom's rock. Single
- 36:48Speaker 1: moms are the real superheroes. T shirts the Single Mothers
- 36:51Speaker 1: or Heroes initiative is a meaningful way for Metro to
- 36:55Speaker 1: give back to the community. It's also a way for
- 36:58Speaker 1: him to honor his late months, So Steve, the question
- 37:02Speaker 1: is why is it so important for your foundation to
- 37:05Speaker 1: partner with people wanting to make a difference in the community. Well,
- 37:09Speaker 1: I mean, our focus has always been single mothers, because
- 37:12Speaker 1: that's how I started my foundation off to help single
- 37:15Speaker 1: mothers who were raising boys by the self. That was
- 37:18Speaker 1: the core of it. Marjorie got on board and created
- 37:23Speaker 1: the Girls Program, which is quite different. You don't have
- 37:27Speaker 1: to be from single parent homes, none of that. Margie
- 37:29Speaker 1: just takes girls from all different walks of life and
- 37:32Speaker 1: change their lives. And we look for partnerships of people
- 37:36Speaker 1: who share the same values that we do and have
- 37:39Speaker 1: some of the same concerns because if my foundation can
- 37:42Speaker 1: chip in some money, you know, to help help make
- 37:47Speaker 1: some things happen. Like Metro got in there, man, great great,
- 37:50Speaker 1: great great brother you know, and wanted to do this
- 37:53Speaker 1: for single mothers. And then we find out about it
- 37:55Speaker 1: and say, hey, man, well we got a group over here.
- 37:58Speaker 1: Can we help and join in and then we form
- 38:01Speaker 1: these partnerships. It takes a village, you know. It's it's hard.
- 38:06Speaker 1: And you know I said this before because you know,
- 38:09Speaker 1: as I try to fund raise for this ranch that
- 38:12Speaker 1: I bought for these kids, it's hard because when you're
- 38:16Speaker 1: well off and you start soliciting funds. Everybody want to go,
- 38:20Speaker 1: wouldn't you just do it yourself? Well, that's that's crazy,
- 38:25Speaker 1: because you know, I don't. I don't know how much
- 38:28Speaker 1: money you think everybody got, but there's an illusion to
- 38:31Speaker 1: how much money people really have. And I don't know
- 38:34Speaker 1: nobody that can just go do anything they want to do.
- 38:37Speaker 1: I don't have that kind of money. There are people
- 38:39Speaker 1: who do, but then you got to look at what
- 38:41Speaker 1: they doing, Like the Bill Gates Foundation could come in
- 38:43Speaker 1: there and do the whole thing, but then they're doing
- 38:46Speaker 1: hundreds of millions of dollars around the world for stuff.
- 38:49Speaker 1: So yes, So we always look for partnerships to keep
- 38:55Speaker 1: the thing going, you know, because it's very hard to
- 38:57Speaker 1: solicit funds when you well off, because everybody think, will
- 39:00Speaker 1: don't you just do it? Well, they have no idea
- 39:02Speaker 1: what you've already done and what you up against even
- 39:05Speaker 1: make the thing run. So we look for partnerships and
- 39:08Speaker 1: guys like Metell great people to partner with. You know.
- 39:11Speaker 1: We have several partnerships, you know, and sometimes we partner
- 39:14Speaker 1: with people because we just help them with our money
- 39:17Speaker 1: to move they calls along. We're about the uplifted edification
- 39:21Speaker 1: of people. So, Steve, you've heard, why is he asking
- 39:24Speaker 1: us for money? He got money? You've heard, and I
- 39:27Speaker 1: hit it. I hit that all the time. If look,
- 39:30Speaker 1: if I had all the money, I just do it.
- 39:32Speaker 1: I don't. That's just the reality of it. I'm sorry,
- 39:35Speaker 1: I don't. You know? All right? Coming up at thirty
- 39:39Speaker 1: four minutes after the hour, we'll check Steve's voicemail at

- 39:56Speaker 1: Steve eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve, you might just
- 40:00Speaker 1: hear your call on the air, uh, Steve. This caller
- 40:02Speaker 1: left to comment about the Strawberry letter the other day,
- 40:05Speaker 1: the subject my husband's assistant is very helpful. This letter
- 40:10Speaker 1: was about the married couple who were small business owners.
- 40:12Speaker 1: The wife used to help out and do payrolls. Yeah,
- 40:16Speaker 1: but it can't, you remember, but it can't. It came
- 40:18Speaker 1: too much for her, so they hired an assistant. The
- 40:21Speaker 1: assistant had the big legs and from the video interview,
- 40:24Speaker 1: she appear plaine and thin. But it turns out yep,
- 40:28Speaker 1: she had those big legs and eyelashes, and she and
- 40:31Speaker 1: her husband are eating lunch together, et cetera, et cetera.
- 40:34Speaker 1: So take a list and take a listen to this book.
- 40:36Speaker 1: I want to comment on the Strawberry letter. I feel
- 40:38Speaker 1: like the White Trust everybody could each other us jus
- 40:41Speaker 1: c are not? You know you can't control a man
- 40:44Speaker 1: must and over a woman. It's Nature's natural. When you
- 40:47Speaker 1: go outside DC all kind of giveful woman that eating
- 40:49Speaker 1: a must over again, it's nature, it's natural. But when
- 40:52Speaker 1: you come from my home inside my key, I don't
- 40:55Speaker 1: want no woman with no big legs up in my
- 40:58Speaker 1: home and my husband lusting over her. This is my
- 41:02Speaker 1: home where my fifa that she needs to go. Yeah,
- 41:05Speaker 1: I agree with you, but that ain't what's happening. Though
- 41:08Speaker 1: she hired and and and and she down at the office.
- 41:13Speaker 1: I'm sister, I ain't mad at you. I agree what
- 41:15Speaker 1: you said. You got every right to feel what you
- 41:18Speaker 1: want to feel. I have no disagreement what you're saying
- 41:20Speaker 1: at all. You have every right to problem is he
- 41:23Speaker 1: didn't hide the girl. Now, I think you should not
- 41:27Speaker 1: discriminate about hiring women because it got big legs. That's wrong.
- 41:34Speaker 1: That's what you're not fitting to do is get me
- 41:36Speaker 1: on that I didn't hire her because she got big legs.
- 41:39Speaker 1: You can't discriminate and gives big leg women with pretty eyelashes.
- 41:44Speaker 1: I can't stand all right, this collar just has love
- 41:52Speaker 1: for Steve Love. Good morning, Martine, and I listened to
- 41:57Speaker 1: the show every mor and y'all make my days. I
- 42:02Speaker 1: have bad days and turn on my radio and niffany, y'all,
- 42:06Speaker 1: I'll heat the work. Everything just so better. You thought inspiration.
- 42:11Speaker 1: You made somebody to day so much easier with things
- 42:15Speaker 1: you do. And I'm glad saying I'm glad, thank you.
- 42:23Speaker 1: I'm glad. I'm glad about thank you. Appreciate that. What
- 42:28Speaker 1: else you got? All right? Last color, uh see this
- 42:31Speaker 1: color is upset about some remarks you made about Kanye. Yes,
- 42:35Speaker 1: I was just listening to your show this morning. I
- 42:39Speaker 1: think it's really appalling that you guys call or would
- 42:43Speaker 1: consider a certified mental person stupid. Um. And I'm taking
- 42:49Speaker 1: up Kanye West, um, just to throw him under a
- 42:52Speaker 1: bus for a white bits basically the road every black
- 42:56Speaker 1: in America. UM. And I think it's really a well.
- 43:02Speaker 1: First of all, you don't know he certified nothing, So
- 43:06Speaker 1: you know, I ain't making no cause on it, you
- 43:09Speaker 1: know what? And here's what I get tired of, you know,
- 43:12Speaker 1: like right now, mental issue is a real issue around
- 43:16Speaker 1: this country, but not everybody. Every time somebody do something ignorant.
- 43:22Speaker 1: Every time somebody do something a paul, I don't know
- 43:24Speaker 1: what mental issue? Uh well, I don't know what mental
- 43:27Speaker 1: health has to do with you think a slavery was
- 43:30Speaker 1: an option? I don't think what you know? You wearing
- 43:33Speaker 1: a mega hat? I don't. I don't think you know
- 43:37Speaker 1: you wearing a T shirt say white Lives matter. I
- 43:40Speaker 1: don't know why you would go out and have discussed
- 43:43Speaker 1: the Holocaust. I don't know why Hitler would be your
- 43:46Speaker 1: favorite person. I don't. I don't know why. But that
- 43:49Speaker 1: don't sound like mental illness to me. And I'm not
- 43:52Speaker 1: messing the judgment about people who have mental illness, cause
- 43:55Speaker 1: it's real. But I don't set up here. You know
- 44:00Speaker 1: it kills me a wait minute, now, is he not
- 44:03Speaker 1: the same person who is a self proclaimed genius? Now?
- 44:09Speaker 1: To me, it's just me talking. I find it hard
- 44:13Speaker 1: to be a genius and keep doing stupid stuff now don't.
- 44:17Speaker 1: I don't know. That's just me. I just have to
- 44:21Speaker 1: struggled with that one right there. That's all I got
- 44:23Speaker 1: to say about it. Appreciate you calling, ma'am. I'm not
- 44:27Speaker 1: making a statement against mental illness, but you have no
- 44:30Speaker 1: right to certify him mentally ill, no more than I do.
- 44:34Speaker 1: But I do no stupid when I hid though. All right,
- 44:36Speaker 1: Coming up next the nephew and today's break phone call
- 44:40Speaker 1: right after this you're listening show coming up at the
- 44:46Speaker 1: top of the hour, right about four minutes after. It's
- 44:49Speaker 1: my strawberry letter for today and the subject is his
- 44:52Speaker 1: ex wife got a real Christmas tree. Oh hell, we'll
- 44:58Speaker 1: talk about that in a few hate. Yeah, looking into
- 45:04Speaker 1: that in just a few because right now the nephew
- 45:07Speaker 1: is here with today's prank phone call. What you got
- 45:09Speaker 1: for us today, nephew. Well, if you're gonna prank somebody,
- 45:13Speaker 1: prank them about their babies because they get real sensitive
- 45:15Speaker 1: about their babies. Well yeah, yes, yeah, yeah, you gotta
- 45:20Speaker 1: go at them hard about their babies. Your baby got
- 45:23Speaker 1: my baby's name. We can't have both of them same name,
- 45:27Speaker 1: same school. That ain't gonna work. Let's go cat though. Hello, Hello,
- 45:31Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach a Patricia. Patricia, who is it?
- 45:36Speaker 1: How you doing? Listen? Um, my name is Floyd Floyda.
- 45:39Speaker 1: I want to give you a call. Your your daughter,
- 45:41Speaker 1: she'll tends middle school. Right. What's your name again, Floyd? Okay?
- 45:46Speaker 1: What can I just fight you? Well, like I said,
- 45:49Speaker 1: your your daughter, she goes she do go to middle school, right, yeah, okay,
- 45:53Speaker 1: Now her name her name is Dereka. Why you need
- 45:55Speaker 1: to know that? Okay, Well, it's something wrong. It's something no, no, no,
- 46:00Speaker 1: nothing wrong. I mean I don't mean to alarm you're
- 46:02Speaker 1: nothing like that. But let me see what you call. Well,
- 46:06Speaker 1: here's the situation. My daughter actually goes to middle school
- 46:11Speaker 1: along along with with your daughter. Okay, and and it's
- 46:16Speaker 1: it's a bit of a problem that that that has
- 46:17Speaker 1: arisen that me and my wife just found out about. Okay,
- 46:21Speaker 1: some issues Derek and your baby in in some kind
- 46:24Speaker 1: of like trouble or something. No, no, no, no, no,
- 46:27Speaker 1: nothing like that. But I think with nobody at that school,
- 46:31Speaker 1: she don't mess with nobody. She owned the honor roll
- 46:34Speaker 1: and everything. I don't have no problems out of Dereka,
- 46:36Speaker 1: right like none. Okay, I no, call me, let me know.
- 46:41Speaker 1: Let me tell you, miss miss Patricia, what the problem is. See,
- 46:44Speaker 1: my daughter name is Dereka. Okay, so, and and it
- 46:49Speaker 1: just blew me and my wife away that it was
- 46:51Speaker 1: another Dereca that went to school. Okay, all right, I
- 46:55Speaker 1: don't know too many Derecas. That's a unique name. That's cute, okay,
- 46:59Speaker 1: right right right, Well here's the problem me and my wife. Actually,
- 47:03Speaker 1: you know, when it was time to name my child,
- 47:05Speaker 1: we thought we was really picking a name that nobody
- 47:08Speaker 1: would have a tick out for their daughter. And to
- 47:10Speaker 1: have another Dereca in the school that blew us away.
- 47:13Speaker 1: And I guess the real reason why I'm trying to
- 47:16Speaker 1: call you, miss Patricians. See if if, if there's something
- 47:19Speaker 1: maybe we can work out, you know, maybe uh like
- 47:23Speaker 1: your Dereka does middle name or nickname she can be
- 47:27Speaker 1: called by in opposed to both of them being Dereka.
- 47:31Speaker 1: You really want our child to be the only one
- 47:33Speaker 1: with this name. Okay, wait wait wait wait now you
- 47:37Speaker 1: calling me? Are you asking me to change my baby's name? Well,
- 47:41Speaker 1: I mean you you ain't really gotta legally change I mean,
- 47:43Speaker 1: but just start calling us something else, you know. No, No,
- 47:46Speaker 1: wait a minute, so what you naming police or something.
- 47:50Speaker 1: Do you know how many and Louis and Patricia's out there?
- 47:54Speaker 1: What if I ask everybody in the United States to
- 47:56Speaker 1: change their name from Patricia? You know how crazy that is.
- 48:00Speaker 1: And I understand that you must be all drugs. Not.
- 48:02Speaker 1: What I'm trying to say is you know this, this
- 48:05Speaker 1: is something that we really have. Our baby girl was
- 48:07Speaker 1: this name and we didn't want nobody else to have this.
- 48:09Speaker 1: So does your Derek grab my middle name she can use. No,
- 48:13Speaker 1: we're gonna call her Dereka like we've been calling your name,
- 48:16Speaker 1: your baby d D. Let's call your baby d D.
- 48:18Speaker 1: Did you change y'all? Y'all change y'all baby name at
- 48:21Speaker 1: the school. I'm not calling I'm not calling my only name.
- 48:24Speaker 1: I don't give me what you call it, but I'm
- 48:25Speaker 1: not changing my baby name. Hey, listen, Okay, look, I'm
- 48:29Speaker 1: trying to call you and handle us like adults, you know,
- 48:32Speaker 1: but you've seen to see you're gonna push my front
- 48:33Speaker 1: to take me to another level. Obviously you ain't calling
- 48:36Speaker 1: me trying to handle us. He does ask me to
- 48:38Speaker 1: change my baby name, call my baby something else at
- 48:41Speaker 1: the schoolcause y'all want your baby name to be Derek
- 48:43Speaker 1: and the only Derek in the school. Hey, you know
- 48:45Speaker 1: many other kids at the damn school got the same name.
- 48:48Speaker 1: I understand that, but from my baby girl, and it
- 48:51Speaker 1: ain't schools to be like that. I'm sorry. I'm stay
- 48:54Speaker 1: up to that baby girl and your wife, but you
- 48:57Speaker 1: know I'm not changing my baby damn name. Now call
- 49:00Speaker 1: your baby. Do you know what I'm trying to do
- 49:03Speaker 1: is get it rectified that we can call you? Get
- 49:06Speaker 1: my phone number. I'm not a school. Ain't good you
- 49:09Speaker 1: my number? I got your number. Don't worry about how
- 49:11Speaker 1: I got it. The problem is that what we're talking
- 49:13Speaker 1: about right now? If can we what can we start
- 49:15Speaker 1: calling your child? I don't give it. I know that
- 49:18Speaker 1: school ain't called your number. Listen, man, all I'm trying
- 49:22Speaker 1: to do is figure out what can we start calling
- 49:24Speaker 1: your daughter? Don't the cut less she's been doing. Call
- 49:28Speaker 1: you and your wife down. Need to go out to
- 49:29Speaker 1: the statistics office and get your day of the name.
- 49:33Speaker 1: I kind you have to sum out to kind of
- 49:35Speaker 1: name beha, but my days keep the same day our name.
- 49:39Speaker 1: Let me explain something to you. I've been trying to
- 49:40Speaker 1: be calm with you even now. Shall but if you
- 49:43Speaker 1: anna find something else to call on, and I'm gonna go.
- 49:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna get all that you know, dumb number, how
- 49:47Speaker 1: do you get? No, don't worry about how I got
- 49:50Speaker 1: the number. Listen to what I'm trying to tell you.
- 49:52Speaker 1: If you don't find another name, I'm gonna start getting
- 49:55Speaker 1: the kids to call your daughter something else. You're getting
- 49:57Speaker 1: to call my daddy studding. I'm with an everybody who
- 50:02Speaker 1: called my buddy stop. Next, you're going to change your
- 50:04Speaker 1: baby names. I want my baby name to beat the
- 50:07Speaker 1: Derek John Ye give him, it's try. My princess is
- 50:13Speaker 1: supposed to be the only one named Derek had a
- 50:15Speaker 1: chain calling your baby stopping else at the school. I'm
- 50:18Speaker 1: going out of these kids starting tomorrow at school calling
- 50:22Speaker 1: your daughter. I'm going else. I'm not standing. I'm just
- 50:24Speaker 1: start with you like this number. Gang him off my
- 50:27Speaker 1: phone and don't come. Let me tell you something. I
- 50:29Speaker 1: got one more thing I need to say to you.

- 54:27Speaker 1: hold on tight. It's time for to Strawberry Little my
- 54:29Speaker 1: friend Shirley Strawberry, thank you, my friend Junior. Subject what
- 54:36Speaker 1: happened his ex wife got a real Christmas tree is
- 54:39Speaker 1: the subject of this letter for today. Dear Stephen Shirley,
- 54:44Speaker 1: I'm on my second marriage and there's an issue in
- 54:46Speaker 1: my marriage. My husband was married for eighteen years and
- 54:50Speaker 1: he's got two daughters and joint custody of them. I
- 54:53Speaker 1: have a daughter that lives with us. We've blended the
- 54:55Speaker 1: family nicely, and his daughters was sweet to my daughter,
- 54:59Speaker 1: but they like to remind her that their father is
- 55:02Speaker 1: not her father. My husband is not good at setting
- 55:05Speaker 1: boundaries for his ex wife. When we started dating, he
- 55:09Speaker 1: let me know that he and his are friends and
- 55:11Speaker 1: whatever he does for her is for his daughters. I
- 55:15Speaker 1: can accept that, but when it gets to be too much,
- 55:17Speaker 1: I step in to help him set boundaries. The other day,
- 55:21Speaker 1: he told me that since his ex wife and the
- 55:24Speaker 1: girls moved into a new house, he wanted to buy
- 55:27Speaker 1: his daughters a nice Christmas tree. I was against it,
- 55:31Speaker 1: but then I realized his daughter's feelings. Ben I considered
- 55:35Speaker 1: his daughter's feelings and I agreed to it. We got
- 55:38Speaker 1: a little seven foot artificial tree out of the storage room,
- 55:41Speaker 1: and I went and bought new ornaments. Saturday, he told
- 55:45Speaker 1: me he was picking up his daughters to get a tree,
- 55:48Speaker 1: and he took my daughter with them. I wasn't invited.
- 55:52Speaker 1: Two hours after they left, my daughter posted a video
- 55:55Speaker 1: in her Instagram story and they were shopping for a
- 55:58Speaker 1: real tree. They picked a giant, beautiful, real, fluffy tree.
- 56:03Speaker 1: I had assumed they would go to Walmart and buy
- 56:06Speaker 1: an artificial tree. My daughter said they took the tree
- 56:09Speaker 1: to his ex wife hows and he set it up
- 56:12Speaker 1: for them. He set it up for them and they
- 56:13Speaker 1: decorated it together. I was crushed because I decorated our
- 56:17Speaker 1: fake tree alone while they were gone. My husband always
- 56:21Speaker 1: justifies things by saying that his daughters shouldn't suffer because
- 56:24Speaker 1: he left their mother. Does he do it out of guilt?
- 56:28Speaker 1: Will his ex wife be forever a part of our family? Well? Yeah,
- 56:33Speaker 1: in a sense. She may not be a part of
- 56:36Speaker 1: your family, okay, but she is a mother of your
- 56:39Speaker 1: husband's daughters, and those are your stepdaughters. So the x
- 56:43Speaker 1: will always be in your life somehow, Okay, as long
- 56:46Speaker 1: as you know she's got the daughters in everything, you know,
- 56:51Speaker 1: My issue is with you though, really, I mean, this
- 56:54Speaker 1: is kind of petty. You're worried about a Christmas tree here.
- 56:57Speaker 1: I think you're saying it's about that, but what it
- 56:59Speaker 1: really is is that you don't want your man over there,
- 57:02Speaker 1: and you don't want him over there doing stuff for
- 57:04Speaker 1: them like putting up the tree. As a family. I
- 57:07Speaker 1: think you're jealous where this is concerned, But I'm telling
- 57:12Speaker 1: you don't be insecure. Because he still wants to spend
- 57:15Speaker 1: time with his daughters. That means he's a good dad. Okay,
- 57:18Speaker 1: He's right. He left their mom, not his kids, so
- 57:22Speaker 1: he wants to continue to show up in their life
- 57:24Speaker 1: for them as their father. He and the ex don't
- 57:28Speaker 1: have anything going on. I mean, if you guys can't
- 57:31Speaker 1: afford it, why don't you You know, if there's something
- 57:34Speaker 1: wrong with your tree, why don't you and your husband
- 57:37Speaker 1: and the girls go out and get a tree. You
- 57:39Speaker 1: didn't have to stay there and decorate the tree by yourself.
- 57:42Speaker 1: You could have waited until they came home and you
- 57:44Speaker 1: guys could have done it together. You know, he just
- 57:47Speaker 1: went with the girls to get a new tree. You
- 57:50Speaker 1: need to talk to him if you have a problem
- 57:52Speaker 1: with how he's moving right now, but he sounds like
- 57:54Speaker 1: a father who's just trying to do the right thing
- 57:56Speaker 1: to me. As crazy as that all seems, it sounds. Yeah,
- 58:00Speaker 1: I don't have a problem with this, Steve. Well, it's
- 58:05Speaker 1: a twofold situation. In my eyes. He's being a good
- 58:09Speaker 1: dad and he's being punished for that. But he's doing it,
- 58:13Speaker 1: and he's making a couple of mistakes the way he's
- 58:15Speaker 1: doing it. You know, first of all, when y'all this
- 58:21Speaker 1: is both of y'all second marriage, he set this whole
- 58:25Speaker 1: thing up by telling you that, you know, look, well,
- 58:31Speaker 1: I'm gonna do stuff with a daughter, and I'm gonna
- 58:35Speaker 1: do stuff for my daughter, and I'm gonna do stuff
- 58:37Speaker 1: for her, but the reason I'm doing it for her
- 58:39Speaker 1: is for my daughter. He said all of this up
- 58:42Speaker 1: with you in the beginning because he's active in that
- 58:45Speaker 1: life as he should be. Now you all say, you
- 58:49Speaker 1: all have blended the family together nicely, But the daughters
- 58:51Speaker 1: are sweet to your daughter, but they always remind her
- 58:53Speaker 1: that ain't your daddy. They do that. Kids gonna be kids.
- 58:57Speaker 1: They're gonna jockey for a position. Husband is not good
- 59:01Speaker 1: with setting boundaries for his ex wife and his ex
- 59:04Speaker 1: wife is flexing because she has two kids with him,
- 59:11Speaker 1: and she's taking advantage of it. Now, let's get to
- 59:14Speaker 1: the whole thing about what this letter is about. His
- 59:16Speaker 1: ex got a real Christmas tree. First of all, when
- 59:20Speaker 1: he picked up the daughter, when he picked up his
- 59:24Speaker 1: two daughters, and he took your daughter. He took your daughter,
- 59:30Speaker 1: which is his daughter, which is to with his biological daughters,
- 59:36Speaker 1: because he wanted to get them a tree because they
- 59:38Speaker 1: had moved into a new house. Well, now he's the
- 59:44Speaker 1: problem you made, dog when you took your daughter from
- 59:50Speaker 1: your new wife with you, and she posted it on
- 59:54Speaker 1: a story. So I'm assuming that these much these might
- 59:59Speaker 1: be teenage if they can post on stories and stuff.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: Wait a minute, what did you say? Wait, say that
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: one more time, Steve, about the daughters. What just I
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: just wanted you to say that one more time? What
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: you said about the daughters. He has two daughters with
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: his ex. He has two daughters with his ex, and
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: then the wife had a daughter. The new wife has
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: a second wife has a daughter. Okay, well see that's
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: his daughter. Oh he has three daughters. Now, yeah, right,
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: separate them. If you separate them, they will help you
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: separate that. Yeah, Yeah, that's what the deal is. When
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: I come back, I'm gonna tell you the mistake he's
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: making with them. He's a great dad, but he's making
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: all right. We'll have part two of Steve's response coming
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: up at twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: Letters subject is his ex wife got a real Christmas tree.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening,
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: all right, Steve, Come on, let's recap today Strawberry letter.
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: The subject his ex wife got a real Christmas tree. Okay,
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: So on the break, I read this letter again. This marriage.
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: This man was married to this woman for eighteen years
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: and they got two daughters. His ex wife were married
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: eighteen years and they got two daughters. So I'm going
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: to assume that these two daughters a teenager because they
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: got an Instagram and they posted story. She the woman
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: he's married to now, who's writing this letter, she has
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: a daughter from her previous marriage. I don't know how
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: old she is. But they treat her nicely, but they
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: do remind her that he's not your real daddy. That's
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: our real daddy. But they treated nicely. And you all
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: have blended and they're sweet to the girl. Okay, cool,
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: So we got that out the way. Now the man
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: set this up by telling you, listen, I'm gonna do
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: some things for my wife, my ex wife, because we're friends.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: But everything I do for is because of the daughter.
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: You're okay with that. Now let's get to what the
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: problem is. It's a Christmas tree. He the ex wife
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: and the two daughters that moved into a new house.
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: He wants to get them a nice tree for their
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: house for Christmas. Okay, So he takes your daughter, which
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: is his daughter from this marriage, Christmas tree shopping with
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: his daughters from his previous marriage, and he goes and
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: buys them a real Christmas tree, big old fluffy tree.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: You then went to the storage room and went out
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: and got that little ragged ass see his tree. See
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: the box that's in the box you've been putting up
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: for years. And so now you bought some ornaments for
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: the treat, some new ornaments. They went tree shopping. You
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: look on the Instagram you're daughter and posted they bought
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: a tree. They take the tree to his ex wife's
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: house where his daughters live. They set the tree up
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: and they all decorated. Now you said earlier they went
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: Christmas tree shopping and you weren't invited. Okay, it was
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: just him and the girls. So that's cool because the
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: tree is for the girls. But it's at the ex
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: wife's house. I mean that's where the Yeah, so in
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: a way, this would be cool. Here's the mistake he's made.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: You've gotten to not make them kids feel and see
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: a difference. You've got to go above and beyond in
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: treating them the same and eat This is not your stepdaughter,
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: this is your daughter. If if the daughters get a
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: real tree, everybody get a real tree. Yeah. See, he
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: should have bought two real trees. What he should have
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: because you can't make the quote unquote step daughter feel
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: step See. The reason we never used the word step
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: in our family was because when you say step child,
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: it's usually like a step down, and it's like a
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: step down from the level that the regular children. And
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: that's why we never used that term. So now, but
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: you can't let him see or feel a difference. Now,
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: if his daughter's got a big fluffy Christmas tree, he
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: should have got a big Christmas tree at his house too.
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: That's the mistake, key man. Yes, that would that that
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: would have cleaned this whole thing up. And bro, that's
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: all you got to do. Everybody got to get equal
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: and light treat the period. And you can't have your
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: new wife feeling some kind of way because you're doing
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: all this extra stuff for your ex wife, because that's
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: how she's looking at that too. Oh she got a
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: treat and y'all all decorated tree together. I didn't know
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: you was gonna go over there and put it up
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: and decorated together. I wanted to surprise y'all when you
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: came home. Y'all come home late. I wouldn't decorated the
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: tree by myself, and y'all ass was over there having
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: family time. Right, You see why she said. When you
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: see now, she's gonna be upset about that dog. And
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: this is your fault because you gotta do everything equal.
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: If you're over there having hot chocolate, you got to
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: come home have hot chocolate. You don't bought the Voca
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: pound cake from Nemon Marcus over there. You got to
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: come in your house with the Vaca pound cake. Okay,
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: you don't see. That's what you gotta do now, Bro,
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: that's the mistake you make, and you've got to set
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: your husband down and say, hey, listen, we can't feel
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: like with second class citizens when it comes to special evince,
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: while your ex and your biological children get all the perks.
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: So I think that's unfair. So you can do whatever
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: you want to do for them. I'm not stopping you,
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: but you needed to start doing the same thing over here.
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: See that real big fluffy treat that was beautiful, but
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: that would look good in this house too. Yeah, they
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: should go get one, see because they had a new house.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: He feels like they should get a new treat. Well, well, well,
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: and you got to get to everybody else a new
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: tree dog. Someday a thought came to my head because
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: a lot of mothers have mom guilt? Do dads have
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: dad guilt as well? Is that what he's dealing with?
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: Dad guilt as well? Yeah, because he said in the
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: letter they can't pay because I left their mother right right,
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: and left their mother, not them m see. But then
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: also now you gotta be careful of the Disney dad
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: syndrome too, Yeah, exactly. See, when you do see the kids,
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: you can't be Disney Dad. And then all of a sudden,
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: when you go home to your family, ain't no Disney, right,
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: it's just the old tree. Oh man, you got Disney
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: Dad mowed all the way around board. Bro. All right,
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: post your I'm in some Today's Strawberry Letter at Steve
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: RVFM on Instagram and Facebook, and check out the Strawberry
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: Letter podcasts. John Demand now coming up at forty six
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: minutes after the hour, we got Junior with Sports Talk
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening, It is time now for
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: Sports Talk with Junior, which you got Junior. Okay, Shirley,
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: for the last time it hit the barbershops. This is
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: one of the hottest topics that's going on, and I
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: just want to make sure we clear on this show
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: how we feel. But they're now saying that Dion Sanders
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: is a sellout, and I can't let that ride like that.
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: They are really upset. Tobody. He never understood HBCUs and
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: he never cared about HBCUs because if he did, he
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: never would have left. That is the issue they're having
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: because you can you say if he said in his
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: interview when he first got the job that HBCUs HBCUs
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: were great places to play football, and then he takes
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: a job at Colorado, he's still not for HBCUs. Let's
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: just quit saying this. This is this is crazy. He's
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: not a sellout for one to better his family. I
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: don't understand how people are mad about Dion saying is
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: taking this job in Colorado. That is not the issue.
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: The man did everything he could to put the spotlight
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: on HBCU, but he just won. Man, Can anybody tell
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: me who the coach was before Dan Stands at Jackson State?
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: Other people at Jackson State, anybody, I'm waiting anybody, come on,
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: So y'all gotta have a name. Why y'all mad at Dion?
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: Are all of the other great NFL players that could
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: go to HBCUs and pick up some of these jobs.
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: Eddie George did it, you know, the greatest coach of
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: all time, coach Eddie Robinson at Grammer spent his entire
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: coaching career that. But that was his calling. That's not
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: Deon's calling. See, y'all want people to be what you
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: want to fit into your par You don't know what
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: Dion is called to do. Deon didn't say he was
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: gonna be a Jackson State forever, nor should he a season?
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: And y'all talking about here sellout y'all miss me that
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: every last one of y'all would have took five million
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: dollars versus three hundred thousand dollars. Steve Harvey, You're never
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: lied right now, let me help you understand something. I
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: love the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Who is the Steve
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show? If I ain't the Steve Harvey Morning Show,
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: who is the Steve Harvey Show? Now you let Siri
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: come up and tell me we're gonna get you fifty
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: million dollars a year. Man, Bye bye, get your ask
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: for serious subscription, not a seller. Go ahead. I just
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: want that same energy for Brett Farr, who stole from
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: the state. I want that black people are the only
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: race of people that's responsible for the actions of others,
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: and people are responsible for white people. All got to
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: stay at Jackson. So y'all, man, y'all stupid? All right?
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, a guy
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: on social media needs your help Steve about lending money.
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right after this. You're listening to
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, great news, what a
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: Christmas present? This is w NC A star. Britney Griner
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: has been released from Russian pop. Yes, yes, yes, thank
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: you Lord, thank you. Yes. She was swapped for convicted
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: Russian arms dealer. Victor bout About, nicknamed the Merchant of Death,
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: is a former Soviet military officers serving a twenty five
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: year prison sentence in the United States on charges of
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: conspiring to kill Americains, acquire an export anti aircraft missiles,
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: and provide material support to a terrorist organization. Wow, but
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: the good news is Britney Griner is now in the
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: custody of American officials. She is there, yeah, she she,
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: I mean, this is just wonderful news. We were wondering
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: because she had a nine years sentence over there. Nine years. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: isn't it a blessing seas Chris, really really excessive sentencing
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: for that, But they were trying to prove a point.
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: But also there's a lesson to be learned from all
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: of us. When we're traveling, pay very very close attention
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: to what you have because, jess, cause it's legal over here.
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: They they got some rules overseas man. Yeah, yeah, so
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: we have to be very very conscious when traveling. She
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: had been detained since February, when she was arrested on
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: drug smuggling charges at an airport in the Moscow region,
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: despite her testimony that she had inadvertently packed the cannabis
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: oil found in her luggage. She was sentenced, like we said,
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: to nine years in prison. That was in early August.
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: She was moved to a penal colony uh in Russia.
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: And we you know, it looked pretty hopeless for a minute,
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: you know, because it kept giving her time and all
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: of that. But look at look at God, look at
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: look at God. Yes, yes, yes, everybody did not give
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: up and kept you know, bringing awareness about this or not. Yes,
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: the custody of US of American officials. Yes, love it,
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: love it come home. Yeah. Now, this swap did not
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: include another American that the State Department has declared wrongfully
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: detained as well. His name was Paul Wheeland. But Brittany
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: Griner is coming home. She is in the custody of
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: US American officials. And we're just happy. This is right
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: before Christmas, right before Christmas. Has been there since February. Greatness,
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: its great news. Yeah yeah, yeah. She played for years
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: in the offseason for a Russian women's basketball team. Yeah,
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: anybody doing that. I believe I ain't going back over
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: there ever. Ever. Ever, Russian team will get ready to
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: lose because she ain't coming back. No. Yeah, ever, And
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: and hats off to the you know, the president, the administration. Y, Yes,
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: state officials, the State Department. They didn't give up. Now
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: you do know, you do know what they're going to
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: backtrack on all of this. And you know, Fox, it's
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: going in exchange for this arms dealer murder. Yeah, you're right,
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: we don't care, we don't care what. Yeah, but you're
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: right that's going to be an issue, you know, especially
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: if he decides to run in twenty twenty or all
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: of that. You know, you're absolutely right about that. Yeah.
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: But he did the right thing. The President did the
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: right thing in this situation and brought home I mean,
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: you know, when you think about it, he's really been
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: a champion for black women. I mean, we have the
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: first black UH Vice president, female, the first black United
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: States Supreme Court justice. Now he's doing this for Brittany Grimes.
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: You know, I'm gonna tell you something else too, And
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: how really important this Warnock decision was. It gave him
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: complete control of the Senate without need from tiebreaker and
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: all like that. Now, of course, you got Joe Manchin,
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: you had to contend with him and that, uh, that
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: one one other some lady. That's Democrats. But what this
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: does is this sets him up. He may run again. Yeah.
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: I think he may run again. Yeah, because if he
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: does it, run who do we have? That's right? All right,
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: great news, Britney Grinder has been released, and we'll be
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to the Steven Show. A jury
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: in New York has found the Trump Organization guilty on
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: seventeen counts. I said, seventeen counts of tax fraud and
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: investigation of business practices over fifteen years turned up multiple
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: instances of the company offering employees perks such as free
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: cars and free apartments to avoid paying them taxable income.
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: CFO Alan Weisselberg, who had already pleaded guilty to fifteen counts,
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: was the prosecutor's star witness. Prosecution star witness. Lawyers for
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: the defense argued that he had acted on his own
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: and that the company was otherwise uninvolved in the scheme.
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: The company faces finds of up to one point six
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: million dollars in sentencing. Donald Trump was not named as
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: a defendant in the suit, so he's not personally liable
