- 2:09Speaker 1: me now one and only. Steve Harvey got a radio show,
- 2:12Speaker 1: I said every day because God been good to me.
- 2:15Speaker 1: God has done some things in my life that's truly
- 2:18Speaker 1: been just amazing. It really amazing. Ain't even really the word.
- 2:23Speaker 1: They don't really have a word for what He's done
- 2:25Speaker 1: for me. I'm just out of superlatives. That's why I
- 2:28Speaker 1: say it every day. Steve Harvey got a radio show
- 2:30Speaker 1: because God is in a blessing business. Yeah it is God.
- 2:34Speaker 1: God can help you turn your life around. Did you
- 2:37Speaker 1: hear me? God can help you turn your life around.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Whatever you're going through, God has an answer for it. See.
- 2:44Speaker 1: But it's the going through that gets us though, ain't it?
- 2:47Speaker 1: Because I was having a moment yesterday and I set
- 2:50Speaker 1: my wife down. I said, baby, I just needed to
- 2:51Speaker 1: talk to you, going through a little bit right now.
- 2:54Speaker 1: I just wanted to share what I'm a little down
- 2:56Speaker 1: right now. My wife reminded me. She just reminded me,
- 3:01Speaker 1: just see this what a man. That's what a good
- 3:04Speaker 1: mate does. A good mate reminds you just of things
- 3:09Speaker 1: that sometimes you forget when you get off track. Because
- 3:13Speaker 1: you know, I consider myself a motivational type person. I
- 3:18Speaker 1: try to listen to people and then give them something
- 3:20Speaker 1: I've learned along the way on this journey I've been on.
- 3:23Speaker 1: I try to give a person a takeaway. But even
- 3:26Speaker 1: being that person, sometimes I get off track myself. I
- 3:30Speaker 1: get a little love, a little low. Sometimes, you know,
- 3:33Speaker 1: I get a little down. Sometimes I sometimes I forget
- 3:37Speaker 1: some of the stuff I say. And it ain't that
- 3:38Speaker 1: I forget it. I guess I just get caught up
- 3:42Speaker 1: in the grind of doing it. And sometimes I get
- 3:46Speaker 1: a little off course and I forget some of the
- 3:49Speaker 1: things that my wife or a mate can be good
- 3:53Speaker 1: for you to remind you. And she just says, Steve,
- 3:56Speaker 1: God got us. She said, have you even noticed that
- 4:00Speaker 1: every time you get in a spot and she say,
- 4:03Speaker 1: And I know how you must feel, because you out
- 4:05Speaker 1: here working and and then you keep turning around and
- 4:09Speaker 1: and and and old stuff keep popping up, and you
- 4:13Speaker 1: get a call from your accounting and hit this then
- 4:15Speaker 1: went wrong, and not then when you steady trying to
- 4:17Speaker 1: fix it, but you steady going wild? Man, what does this?
- 4:20Speaker 1: She say? But you ever notice he always always, no
- 4:24Speaker 1: matter what, provide a way. And he ain't never too late,
- 4:29Speaker 1: or you might be going the deadline is approaching. The
- 4:32Speaker 1: deadline can come and pass, but then they have a
- 4:35Speaker 1: grace period for you. And then sometimes man, it's just
- 4:39Speaker 1: you go down now after the grace period and they
- 4:41Speaker 1: take the payment anywhere and you're good anyway. But see,
- 4:44Speaker 1: ain't that God bringing you through it. It may not
- 4:47Speaker 1: be when you want it, but he right on time.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Jazz before you get put out, jazz before they turned.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Maybe they cut the lights off, but you get it
- 4:55Speaker 1: back on. Jess Folk company come or just before the weekend.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Get him. See he always comes through for you. And
- 5:03Speaker 1: she had to remind me of that what you're going
- 5:06Speaker 1: through is necessary. Look, circumstance and hardships and pitfalls are
- 5:12Speaker 1: always untimely. If you keep the law of attraction in play.
- 5:17Speaker 1: If you keep believing that des that he gonna see
- 5:20Speaker 1: you through this just like he do when you don't
- 5:22Speaker 1: believe it, That's what the old part is though, ain't it.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Ain't God brought you through even when you didn't really
- 5:30Speaker 1: had a faith to say he was gonna bring you through.
- 5:33Speaker 1: But because of grace and mercy he brought you through anyway.
- 5:36Speaker 1: But because you forgot to thank him, or you didn't
- 5:40Speaker 1: pay attention through to come through, you just was telling people, oh, man,
- 5:44Speaker 1: of you to see me. It It was so jacked up. Man,
- 5:46Speaker 1: I was so turned up. I ain't know what I
- 5:48Speaker 1: was donna do. I almost got put out. I was
- 5:51Speaker 1: gonna see key word almost. You forgot that part right there,
- 5:55Speaker 1: and then I was look like I won man and
- 5:57Speaker 1: death and seemed like every month I go through this
- 6:00Speaker 1: same thing. And then yah, yeah, then somebody ought to
- 6:03Speaker 1: just say did you pay it? Yeah? I paid it?
- 6:05Speaker 1: Did you get put out? Now? I'm cool? See some
- 6:08Speaker 1: See you need somebody on your shoulder to say that
- 6:10Speaker 1: to you, and then you need somebody to come right
- 6:13Speaker 1: behind him and go, man, ain't God good? Really? Man?
- 6:17Speaker 1: That's how this works. See, you keep getting in situations
- 6:22Speaker 1: but he keep getting you out. Now if you jump, look,
- 6:25Speaker 1: listen to me hold him. Oh let's say you in
- 6:28Speaker 1: the frying pan and the skillet and all is up
- 6:31Speaker 1: and you and that frying and you uncomfortable being fried
- 6:36Speaker 1: God somehow. Or let's just say you managed to get
- 6:40Speaker 1: out of the hot grease in the frying pan, and
- 6:43Speaker 1: you standing that next to the skillet, looking at the fire,
- 6:47Speaker 1: continue to heat the grease, you get out, and then
- 6:50Speaker 1: for some unexplainable reason, you dives right on back in there.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Ain't that how we usually do it. I'm just asking God,
- 7:01Speaker 1: get you away from the man you've been asking to
- 7:03Speaker 1: get away from. Then you go right back over there
- 7:06Speaker 1: and start seeing him again. It's amazing how many times
- 7:11Speaker 1: God get us out the fire and we walks right
- 7:14Speaker 1: back in there. Ain't it amazing? Man? I mean, really, man,
- 7:18Speaker 1: see this high break life down for me so I
- 7:21Speaker 1: don't get over here stuck on, stupid with myself, and
- 7:24Speaker 1: then get to doing something ignorant like blaming God, when really, man,
- 7:28Speaker 1: God has given us, as human beings, the power of decision,
- 7:31Speaker 1: and we all make decisions. How many times? Man? See,
- 7:34Speaker 1: sometimes it's a blessing and getting locked up you can
- 7:37Speaker 1: ask a lot of caps. I know, man to tell
- 7:39Speaker 1: you it was a blessing for me, man, because I
- 7:41Speaker 1: was just headed the wrong way, steady, but he locked
- 7:44Speaker 1: me up. Setting me down made me miss my family,
- 7:47Speaker 1: miss being out here being a free man, made me
- 7:50Speaker 1: realize that my family was important. Made me, Man, really
- 7:54Speaker 1: see this girl for what she was. When I get out, Man,
- 7:57Speaker 1: I'm on a straight and narrow Well then when you
- 8:00Speaker 1: get out, though, See, you can't be talking about no.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Oh man, I can't find no job. Now I'm gonna
- 8:05Speaker 1: go and do what I gotta do. No, no, no, no, no, partner,
- 8:08Speaker 1: you got to do now what you're supposed to do.
- 8:11Speaker 1: See that don't do what you gotta do got you
- 8:13Speaker 1: in trouble in the first place. See everybody, see see
- 8:16Speaker 1: the hood got a lot of ignorant rules. We didn't
- 8:18Speaker 1: create it. I gotta do what I gotta do. I
- 8:20Speaker 1: gotta feed my family. Well, the only reason you gotta
- 8:23Speaker 1: do what you gotta do is because you didn't do
- 8:25Speaker 1: what you were supposed to do. See if you just
- 8:27Speaker 1: went on to school like your mama kept telling you.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Oh man, I was watching forty eight Hours yesterday and
- 8:33Speaker 1: the dude named Nesto was on that and Nesto Latino
- 8:37Speaker 1: Do said, Man, my mother told me quit hanging with
- 8:39Speaker 1: these guys. They were going nothing but trouble. I should
- 8:42Speaker 1: have listened to her. He doing thirty years right now.
- 8:46Speaker 1: You can't blame God. That's why I talk to myself
- 8:49Speaker 1: this way, so I don't get stupid and start shifting
- 8:52Speaker 1: to blame the wrong way when it's really on me.
- 8:55Speaker 1: How many times has God got you out of something
- 8:58Speaker 1: and you walk right back into it? Man, why don't
- 9:01Speaker 1: you take these blessings God give you and going about
- 9:04Speaker 1: your business? That be the best way to do it.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Don't you think That's what I think? So I thank
- 9:11Speaker 1: God my wife for reminding me that God got us anyway,
- 9:15Speaker 1: that God gonna pull you through anyway that. Have you noticed, Steve,
- 9:19Speaker 1: we ain't lost a beat. Oh. I know it's hard
- 9:22Speaker 1: out here, but really, you ain't lost a beat. You're
- 9:24Speaker 1: still moving forward, You're still dressing nice, you still look
- 9:29Speaker 1: good when you come into that job. Everybody don't got
- 9:32Speaker 1: to know you. Your house is in bad shaping. All
- 9:35Speaker 1: that God got you, man, if you just hold your
- 9:38Speaker 1: head up, man, quit complaining all the time about what
- 9:41Speaker 1: you ain't got and as in words of my daddy's
- 9:44Speaker 1: slick Harvey, stop talking about what you ain't got and
- 9:46Speaker 1: take a good look at what you do. God, that's
- 9:49Speaker 1: improper grammar, but that always stuck with me and maybe
- 9:52Speaker 1: it'll stick with you. Quit talking about and look at
- 9:54Speaker 1: what you ain't got to take a good look at
- 9:56Speaker 1: what you do. God, you're listening show. Ladies and gentlemen,
- 10:03Speaker 1: let me have your undivided detention on cal I need it.
- 10:06Speaker 1: I need it just for a second here. Well I'm
- 10:08Speaker 1: actually asking it for the next four hours. But who
- 10:10Speaker 1: listened to the radio for four hours? Well, we hope
- 10:13Speaker 1: you do, but we know you probably got to go
- 10:14Speaker 1: to work, so you don't. And I was hoping some
- 10:17Speaker 1: people would just stick around for the four hours while
- 10:19Speaker 1: they was at work. But you need your job, so
- 10:21Speaker 1: you can't be listening to the radio. So we was
- 10:23Speaker 1: hoping then that you put your headsets on when you
- 10:25Speaker 1: going in the job. But then you can't do that
- 10:27Speaker 1: because they see the head sets. You're gonna lose your
- 10:29Speaker 1: job too. So you face with the canjri You can
- 10:32Speaker 1: stay with us and have a wonderful day, or you
- 10:34Speaker 1: can stay with us with part of the morning and
- 10:36Speaker 1: have a partially good day, but we hope we do
- 10:38Speaker 1: something that will sustain you for the whole day. That's
- 10:41Speaker 1: the objective of Steve Harvard on the show. Glad you
- 10:44Speaker 1: understand it, because I don't know what the hell I
- 10:46Speaker 1: just said. Hey Sherley, good morning, heavy Friday. Yeah, you

- 12:31Speaker 1: send him a table. I'd only been into business a
- 12:34Speaker 1: few months, twenty minutes and I got I had I
- 12:38Speaker 1: had fifteen maybe twenty minutes, and I was begging to
- 12:43Speaker 1: be booked as an opening act. And he gave me

- 14:02Speaker 1: and I go to the hotel and they huh, yeah,
- 14:09Speaker 1: Red roof In in Bloomington, Indiana, performing at place called Nicks.
- 14:13Speaker 1: I go to Red roof In and they say, your
- 14:16Speaker 1: roommate is already here, and he gave me the womb.
- 14:20Speaker 1: I said, well damn, okay, Well I ain't. I got
- 14:22Speaker 1: eleven dollars, so I don't care who it is. I
- 14:26Speaker 1: got to go upstairs. I knock on the door and
- 14:29Speaker 1: Jay Anthony opens the door, but he had his stuff
- 14:34Speaker 1: all over both beds. Yeah, he was making his pants
- 14:42Speaker 1: that he was gonna wear that night. Because what a
- 14:46Speaker 1: lot of people don't know, Jay is a really, really
- 14:49Speaker 1: good taylor. He could really make clothes. That was his
- 14:53Speaker 1: profession before I met him. So I look at the bed,
- 14:57Speaker 1: but I say, hey, man, I'm your roommate. My name
- 14:59Speaker 1: is Hard he said, you can't stay in him. Now,
- 15:05Speaker 1: I'm looking at him. He don't know how hard I
- 15:07Speaker 1: am not that you couldn't stay in there. I have
- 15:10Speaker 1: so much stuff you really could not stay in there.
- 15:14Speaker 1: That he had an extra TV. I saw a phone
- 15:19Speaker 1: code all the way across the room. I man, what
- 15:22Speaker 1: is this dude doing? I said, well, I said, my man,
- 15:26Speaker 1: I don't know what to tell you this. I got
- 15:28Speaker 1: to stay here. He said, and you go downstairs because
- 15:31Speaker 1: this ain't camp, and get yourself another room. He don't know.
- 15:35Speaker 1: I got eleven dollars and said, my man, I can't
- 15:37Speaker 1: go downstairs and get no room. I ain't got no
- 15:40Speaker 1: money for that. Now I'm looking at him because I'm
- 15:41Speaker 1: hot now, and I said, well, damn, I'm tight. So
- 15:47Speaker 1: he said, hey man, him and Jay gave me thirty dollars.
- 15:52Speaker 1: I said, go down there and get your room. Man.
- 15:55Speaker 1: I went on there and got a room, and first
- 15:57Speaker 1: time somebody ever done like that for me. I got
- 15:59Speaker 1: my room. Jay, you had thirty dollars. Facts yeah us
- 16:04Speaker 1: the headline. Jay was making eighteen hundred a week when
- 16:09Speaker 1: I met him. Oh donkey, you was bawling ja dogs.
- 16:15Speaker 1: So I went back up to his room because I
- 16:18Speaker 1: saw all that stuff. I said, hey, man, I saw
- 16:22Speaker 1: you had a iron in here. Can I use your
- 16:24Speaker 1: iron so I can press my clothes for the night.
- 16:27Speaker 1: He said, man, you gotta you gotta start getting this stuff.
- 16:29Speaker 1: You're gonna be on the road. And I said, okay,
- 16:32Speaker 1: hold on, hold on, you know ian word, I ain't.
- 16:34Speaker 1: I ain't finna here all this year. Touch you back,
- 16:37Speaker 1: Oh dog, I was real tight. He was trying to
- 16:41Speaker 1: help me. When I thought he was so humble, when
- 16:44Speaker 1: I tell you he was. He came, let me tell,
- 16:47Speaker 1: let me finish. He came back up. He had his
- 16:49Speaker 1: hat rolled up like a like a yard worker. Man.
- 16:52Speaker 1: He was sweating and everything. I ain't gonna have an
- 16:55Speaker 1: iron with beet. Did you beat over holding? And then
- 17:00Speaker 1: you're giving him when they didn't get in the room
- 17:02Speaker 1: and never a thing. But if your beats over holding it,
- 17:05Speaker 1: give me let me use your I don't have an eye.
- 17:16Speaker 1: So I went cross street to Target and bought a
- 17:18Speaker 1: nine dollars iron. So I am my outfit. That we
- 17:24Speaker 1: meet up at the club. Jay had a powder blue
- 17:28Speaker 1: pinto full of stuff. Man packed to the wind alway
- 17:34Speaker 1: to the back. I go get my shoes and put
- 17:37Speaker 1: them on and I go out there and I watched
- 17:39Speaker 1: j Anthony Brown. Lord, he mercy Jesus. He was the
- 17:45Speaker 1: most brilliant act boy I had seen in comedy. Man.
- 17:50Speaker 1: I said that in complete and utter all. He told
- 17:55Speaker 1: me at the show, he said, you're pretty funny, man,
- 17:57Speaker 1: A couple moves you need to learn, but anywhere you're
- 18:01Speaker 1: gonna be pretty funny. I said, Man, if I could
- 18:03Speaker 1: be funny, it's this boy right here. So we was
- 18:05Speaker 1: on two of the dog he was. He had the
- 18:10Speaker 1: white folks laughing. So and you know, it was no
- 18:13Speaker 1: Black Headliners ever audience either, tim The only black headliners
- 18:20Speaker 1: was j Anthony Brown, Byron Allen and George Wallace against
- 18:25Speaker 1: it sitting bad. But you know I never saw sitting
- 18:28Speaker 1: back because he was too big. You know, he was
- 18:31Speaker 1: on star. So I was sitting up here, going, man,
- 18:37Speaker 1: this is the greatest dude. We stayed together that whole
- 18:40Speaker 1: week and we got to the weekend and we had
- 18:43Speaker 1: a gig that was two nights in Columbus, Ohio, and
- 18:47Speaker 1: one night. Man after the show the first night, he said, y'all,
- 18:51Speaker 1: I want to bring up a guy that's gonna be
- 18:53Speaker 1: great in this business. One day and I was the opening.
- 18:56Speaker 1: He said, come on back up, man, close to show
- 18:58Speaker 1: out with me. And we still on stage and sang
- 19:01Speaker 1: that song why can't we be friend? Hands, Why can't
- 19:06Speaker 1: we be friends? And we had an arm round each
- 19:09Speaker 1: other on stage, and all the white people joined in.
- 19:14Speaker 1: Jay Ja went home that night. Man, I was so
- 19:16Speaker 1: emotional sitting on my bed. Man, I said, Man, this
- 19:19Speaker 1: dude said I was gonna be great. And then the
- 19:23Speaker 1: next night we closed and showed the same way. We
- 19:26Speaker 1: exchanged phone numbers. Wasn't those cell phones, and we made
- 19:30Speaker 1: a pack which said hey, man, if you ever need me,
- 19:33Speaker 1: call me and leave a message. I checked my messages
- 19:36Speaker 1: every four hours. And then we became friends. And he said,
- 19:41Speaker 1: then we got so close. I said, hey, man, if
- 19:43Speaker 1: you ever get in trouble, just leave may date on
- 19:47Speaker 1: the machine may day. And that's when we knew somebody
- 19:52Speaker 1: was in trouble. We had to get in our car
- 19:54Speaker 1: try to find him. And first time he came. None
- 20:00Speaker 1: of that bag. Any day. She found my book, my
- 20:03Speaker 1: entire book. What happened now we ain't got to go
- 20:07Speaker 1: into who, but it was found female. Jay had a diary,
- 20:14Speaker 1: oh that he kept recking of everything. He did. He
- 20:18Speaker 1: wrote down all his thoughts and everything, and he left
- 20:21Speaker 1: it at this girl's house and he called me in.
- 20:25Speaker 1: He said, may day, and it just so happened. I'm

- 20:34Speaker 1: I knew the girl because we had talked. We knew
- 20:36Speaker 1: each other's people, you know. And he said, man, she

- 21:51Speaker 1: Hi Tanya. My name is Daniel from the head of
- 21:54Speaker 1: store security here at your job. Yeah, listen, I'm trying
- 21:59Speaker 1: to see. Um, I'm gonna have to I know, to
- 22:01Speaker 1: day's your day off. I'm looking at the schedule here.
- 22:04Speaker 1: It seems that you doesn't come back in until Saturday.
- 22:07Speaker 1: I'm trying to see if it's possible I can get
- 22:09Speaker 1: you to come to the store. There's a bit of
- 22:10Speaker 1: a situation I want to discuss with you. There's about
- 22:13Speaker 1: eighteen hundred dollars worth of merchandise missing from the store.
- 22:17Speaker 1: But yeah, it's about eighteen hundred dollars worth of merchandise.
- 22:22Speaker 1: And we definitely know that this is a in house situation.
- 22:25Speaker 1: This is not someone walking in shoplifting. This is definitely
- 22:29Speaker 1: an in house situation with employees who have evidently been
- 22:34Speaker 1: shoplifting from the store, taking things, and we want to
- 22:36Speaker 1: get down to the to the roots of the problem. Well, ma'am,
- 22:42Speaker 1: it's uh. It's been brought to my attention that there's
- 22:45Speaker 1: a possibility that you may be part of this situation,
- 22:50Speaker 1: and I don't still you don't call my house accusing me?
- 22:57Speaker 1: Is still I still listening from Nope? But okay, well,
- 23:01Speaker 1: my hangar man, what I'm trying to do is just
- 23:03Speaker 1: trying to you, trying to say out and stole something

- 23:10Speaker 1: do you have a sister named Cynthia? Yeah, what about it? Well,
- 23:14Speaker 1: now it seems that here on some of the footage
- 23:17Speaker 1: that we have on camera, that it's a possibility that
- 23:21Speaker 1: it seems like your sister's actually wearing some of the
- 23:24Speaker 1: merchandise that we sell here in the store. Okay, just
- 23:28Speaker 1: because she wears something that we sell in the store,
- 23:31Speaker 1: don't mean that I stole it. Well, we don't see
- 23:34Speaker 1: where she's act. I backed the footage up as far
- 23:37Speaker 1: as I could. I don't see any footage of where
- 23:40Speaker 1: she purchased this particular merchandise. And my assumption is maybe
- 23:44Speaker 1: you gave it to her. I gave her And just
- 23:47Speaker 1: because you don't see what somebody purchased it don't mean
- 23:50Speaker 1: that it's been stolen. Okay, here's what I'm gonna I'm
- 23:53Speaker 1: gonna just get to the chase of this Tanya what
- 23:55Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to do is this if I can't
- 23:58Speaker 1: get you to come to the door man. And matter
- 24:01Speaker 1: of fact, here's another question for you before I go
- 24:03Speaker 1: any further. You have children at all? Tanya? Yeah? I
- 24:07Speaker 1: got children? Why do you? Is it possible? Because I'm
- 24:11Speaker 1: missing a lot of baby merchandise as well? And you
- 24:15Speaker 1: know what, you know what you're really cruising for this morning? Okay,
- 24:20Speaker 1: because you're gonna call somebody on the off day accusing
- 24:24Speaker 1: them of stealing. Okay, here's what I gotta do. Are
- 24:27Speaker 1: you coming into the office so I can talk with you.
- 24:30Speaker 1: I'm not coming no where on my off day. Well,
- 24:34Speaker 1: then what's gonna happen, miss Tanya, is I'm gonna have
- 24:37Speaker 1: to actually come to your home, check your closet. I'm
- 24:40Speaker 1: gonna have to check your kids and see if they're
- 24:43Speaker 1: check them, see if they're wearing merchandise that comes from this.

- 31:48Speaker 1: he is facing backlash after picture surface on social media
- 31:52Speaker 1: of him and his family traveling on a trip to
- 31:54Speaker 1: Cancoon while his home state of Texas was battered by
- 31:59Speaker 1: that Winner story arm and widespread power outages. Uh. This
- 32:02Speaker 1: storm left millions of Texas residents freezing and fearing for
- 32:07Speaker 1: their life. He said that his daughter wanted to go
- 32:10Speaker 1: on a trip with their friends. Uh since school was out. Um,
- 32:14Speaker 1: so he was being a good dad flying with her
- 32:17Speaker 1: down there. Well well, now, after all the backlash and everything, chump,
- 32:22Speaker 1: Ted jumped. It was perfect. Ted jumped on a plane
- 32:31Speaker 1: yesterday and came right on back to Texas. Okay, the
- 32:34Speaker 1: Texas Democrats are calling for Ted Cruz to be expelled.
- 32:38Speaker 1: Be yeah, I love it. Yeah, I mean how insensitive?

- 34:11Speaker 1: He was doing what you got, but you got. But yeah,
- 34:19Speaker 1: all right, Steve, time for headlines. Let's move on, ladies
- 34:22Speaker 1: and gentlemen. Miss Anne Trip okay, thank you. The lights
- 34:25Speaker 1: slowly coming back on the homes of millions of Texans
- 34:28Speaker 1: after this week's record breaking winter storm, but safe drinking
- 34:32Speaker 1: water now at a premium. That's because the week's unusually
- 34:34Speaker 1: frigid temperatures have caused pipes to burst, that in turn
- 34:37Speaker 1: has prompted a boil water advisory. With everything else that's
- 34:40Speaker 1: called roll, that's caused rolling blackouts, So people trying to
- 34:43Speaker 1: do that. The City of Tylers spokeswoman Luan Campbell says
- 34:46Speaker 1: it's hard to boil water with no electricity and impossible
- 34:49Speaker 1: to work with busted and frozen pipes. The water pressure
- 34:52Speaker 1: is below levels that are required by the Texas Commission
- 34:55Speaker 1: on Environmental Quality TCQ, and that water pressure maintains op
- 35:00Speaker 1: little safety for the water. So we can't meet that pressure.
- 35:03Speaker 1: The below freezing up. Whether that's to hit the Deep
- 35:05Speaker 1: South by the way, especially the Gulf refinery region, or
- 35:08Speaker 1: a poorly course gas prices to rise. Now, this is
- 35:11Speaker 1: all you know. One thing is like a domino effect,
- 35:14Speaker 1: is everything is affected by everything else. Biden administration says
- 35:17Speaker 1: it's providing some two billion dollars to aid COVID vaccine
- 35:20Speaker 1: distrestribution in ninety two low and middle income countries. Now,
- 35:24Speaker 1: the reason being that by allowing the virus to spread
- 35:27Speaker 1: on checked in poorer countries, it keeps Americans at risk
- 35:29Speaker 1: because what happens that become more variants of the virus
- 35:32Speaker 1: they develop, and then we have to deal with that
- 35:34Speaker 1: Democratic Control Congress schedule to give take up immigration reform soon. Finally,
- 35:39Speaker 1: Amazon's retiring CEO Jeff Bezos, officially the richest man in
- 35:42Speaker 1: the world. Force magazine puts second runner up Elon musket
- 35:45Speaker 1: one hundred and seventy three billion, bezol one hundred and
- 35:48Speaker 1: ninety billion. Where does Donald Trump come in? He's number
- 35:52Speaker 1: twelve hundred and thirty four with two billion still money
- 35:55Speaker 1: to me, and I don't have any of it. Money, money, money.
- 35:59Speaker 1: Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening
- 36:05Speaker 1: all right? Steve introduced your best friend. You've done him many,
- 36:08Speaker 1: many years, many years. We go back, black Cadillac seats,

- 36:16Speaker 1: In honor of Black History Month and honor Black History Month,
- 36:21Speaker 1: I will give you the greatest haters of Black history
- 36:25Speaker 1: of all time. Great things they did, but they all
- 36:28Speaker 1: had haters for once like this. In nineteen twenty six,
- 36:33Speaker 1: Willie T. Kennedy, better known his Lips, was the first
- 36:37Speaker 1: person to wet up a marijuana joint. After that he
- 36:41Speaker 1: was no longer allowed to smoke with the group. Kent
- 36:48Speaker 1: cont Kenya, a runaway slave, once said to Harriet Tubman.
- 36:53Speaker 1: Kente kunt Kenya once said to Harriet Tubman, are we
- 36:59Speaker 1: there yet? Walter to Douglas said to Langston Hughes, a
- 37:07Speaker 1: great American poet. He said to Langston Hughes, how come
- 37:12Speaker 1: your stuff don't rhyme? What's up that? Benjamin Bannagher, who
- 37:17Speaker 1: designed Washington d C. Laid out the plants for Washington C.
- 37:22Speaker 1: A hater once said to him, what's up with all
- 37:26Speaker 1: these one way streets? And how do I get to
- 37:28Speaker 1: Ben's chili bowl? These are haters? Haters Garrett Garrett Morgan,
- 37:38Speaker 1: who invented the stoplight. He invented the stoplight. A hater
- 37:43Speaker 1: once said to him, Let me get this right. The
- 37:47Speaker 1: light green, the light turns red, and the light turns yellow.
- 37:51Speaker 1: That's it, Oh my god, Haters, haters. Garrett Augustus Morgan,
- 37:58Speaker 1: the man who invented the gas as smash. A hater
- 38:01Speaker 1: once said to him. A hater said to him, you know,
- 38:06Speaker 1: when you put this thing on your face, can't nobody
- 38:09Speaker 1: tell who you are? A hater? And the last, last,
- 38:16Speaker 1: but at least, Walker T. Bentley, while coming home from work,
- 38:22Speaker 1: noticed that there was a Chicago fire. This is where
- 38:26Speaker 1: the phrase the roof, the roof, the roof is on fire.
- 38:32Speaker 1: But a man, a man, I'm not finished. A man
- 38:35Speaker 1: who worked at that same plant saw the same fire
- 38:38Speaker 1: and said, we don't need no water. Let the this
- 38:49Speaker 1: we don't need Let them we don't no water, he said,
- 38:57Speaker 1: the roof, the roof, the roof. The man who used
- 39:02Speaker 1: to worth it and got frie sit. We don't need
- 39:06Speaker 1: no water. Let them burn burn this has been burn
- 39:12Speaker 1: black Haters of History by Brown Heavy Black History Month.
- 39:18Speaker 1: Thank you, Jay. Coming up at thirty four, we're gonna
- 39:22Speaker 1: play you'll see something very special from our very own
- 39:24Speaker 1: Steve Harvey. Right after this. You're listening to the Steve
- 39:28Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. All right, So, Steve, question for you,
- 39:32Speaker 1: how do you feel about the younger generation using your
- 39:36Speaker 1: voice in their TikTok videos or Instagram real posts And
- 39:40Speaker 1: this particular video, these two young men who did a
- 39:44Speaker 1: reenactment of the skit of you asking your brother's advice
- 39:47Speaker 1: on how to ask a lady out on a date. Well,
- 39:49Speaker 1: this video, Steve, has gone viral with well over one
- 39:53Speaker 1: point seven million views. Well we'll play a little bit
- 39:57Speaker 1: of it. Take a listen. Girl in college. Man, she
- 40:00Speaker 1: was like, she was so out my lead. Now I'm
- 40:02Speaker 1: in college. I'm a freshman. So that evening I went home.
- 40:05Speaker 1: I'm in college. I called my brother. I said, hey, man,
- 40:08Speaker 1: I just met this girl. I ain't really met her.
- 40:10Speaker 1: I see him, man, but how do I get right
- 40:12Speaker 1: next to it? Hey? Listen, it sends your chipping phone.
- 40:16Speaker 1: All you got to do tomorrow when you see her
- 40:20Speaker 1: walk up to her and say, excuse me. I don't
- 40:24Speaker 1: want to disrupt your day and nothing you got going,
- 40:27Speaker 1: but it would really really make my day if you
- 40:28Speaker 1: would tell me your name, and when you say that,
- 40:31Speaker 1: just walk away. Next day in school, as soon as
- 40:36Speaker 1: I saw her, I walked right up to I said,
- 40:38Speaker 1: excuse me, said, I don't want to interrupt your day
- 40:41Speaker 1: and stop nothing you're doing, but it would really make
- 40:43Speaker 1: my day if you would just tell me what your
- 40:45Speaker 1: name is. She said, It's Melinda. I said, Melenda, Thank you.
- 40:53Speaker 1: So I went home that evening and I called my brother.
- 40:56Speaker 1: I said, hey, man, I did it. He said, Did
- 40:59Speaker 1: you walk away like I told you? I said, yeah,
- 41:01Speaker 1: I said, But what I do next? He said, tomorrow
- 41:04Speaker 1: walk up to and tell her, introduce yourself and tell
- 41:07Speaker 1: her your name and say so the next time I
- 41:10Speaker 1: see you and I say hello to you. It would
- 41:13Speaker 1: mean so much to me if you would just say
- 41:15Speaker 1: my name back to me, I say, I said, And
- 41:18Speaker 1: then what I do? He said, walk on. So next
- 41:22Speaker 1: day I see her, I walked he through. I said, hey, Melinda,
- 41:25Speaker 1: she said. I said, hold, I'm gonna say. I said,
- 41:27Speaker 1: I'd like to tell you my name. My name is Steve.
- 41:31Speaker 1: I said, all I want is when I say hello, Melinda,
- 41:33Speaker 1: I would just love to hear you say my name
- 41:35Speaker 1: back to me. That would mean so much to me.
- 41:39Speaker 1: I said, let's try this. I say hello Melinda, She
- 41:41Speaker 1: said hello, Steve said, back to the rule. That night
- 41:46Speaker 1: I called my brother, I said, Bro, I said, I
- 41:49Speaker 1: say what I do next. First of all, man, stop
- 41:52Speaker 1: sounding anxious. Slow your role. You got to get smooth
- 41:58Speaker 1: with this. Now Tomorrow when you see it, you say
- 42:01Speaker 1: hello to her, waiting on her to say your name,
- 42:03Speaker 1: and then act like it knocked you out, to act
- 42:07Speaker 1: like it knocked me off, and then walk off? What
- 42:11Speaker 1: the hell you think? Click at Melinda? How you doing? Haste? Bro?
- 42:23Speaker 1: I did that? Walked off? They're so cute video these guys,
- 42:33Speaker 1: these kids re enacted it and they finished it up.
- 42:37Speaker 1: It's really a cool story, and it actually happened. I
- 42:40Speaker 1: did that a few years ago on my talk show
- 42:43Speaker 1: Okay from right, That's where it came from, you know,
- 42:48Speaker 1: And it really happened. That's how I met this girl
- 42:51Speaker 1: in college. It was out of my leag but I
- 42:52Speaker 1: didn't know how to talk to us, so I had
- 42:54Speaker 1: to call my brother. My brother Terror was a player,
- 42:57Speaker 1: so I had to call him. So what did you
- 43:00Speaker 1: think about the two boys that did at this? I thought,
- 43:03Speaker 1: I'm actually gonna I'm actually gonna reach out to them
- 43:06Speaker 1: to really good job because it was really amazing. It was.
- 43:12Speaker 1: I got something else I did, um that I'm gonna
- 43:16Speaker 1: release this video. You know that. I don't know if
- 43:18Speaker 1: you saw the video that janitor that made the half
- 43:20Speaker 1: court shot. Uh uh hey man, y'all need to y'all
- 43:28Speaker 1: need to brush up on your social media skid. You
- 43:39Speaker 1: know now, y'all don't even know what happened. You know either,
- 43:42Speaker 1: y'all need some kids wanted the two But I'll tell
- 43:49Speaker 1: you something. One day, when we finished editing it, I
- 43:53Speaker 1: just shot it today. It's really really good, Okay to
- 43:58Speaker 1: look forward to. Ratulations to the guys who re enacted
- 44:02Speaker 1: this video for you. If you want they want to
- 44:05Speaker 1: see it, Yeah, they can go to Steve Harvey FM
- 44:07Speaker 1: and check it out. Yeah. Coming up next, the Nephew
- 44:12Speaker 1: with Today's praying phone call right after this, you're listening
- 44:15Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at the top
- 44:20Speaker 1: of the hour. Right about four minutes after the hour,
- 44:23Speaker 1: it's the Strawberry Letter for today, the subject post Valentine's
- 44:27Speaker 1: Day drama. But right now the nephew is in the building.
- 44:31Speaker 1: He's here with today's prying phone call what you got
- 44:34Speaker 1: for us? Now? The title is Jean, I got you girl, Gene,
- 44:40Speaker 1: I got you girl? Come on, can't hello sweet to Jeane?

- 44:54Speaker 1: I want to howl let you about your Why so
- 44:55Speaker 1: you got a minute? Yeah, I'm listening. I don't even
- 44:59Speaker 1: know how to break this till you do. I just
- 45:00Speaker 1: want to be straight up with you, man. Me and
- 45:02Speaker 1: your wife have been kind of seeing each other, and
- 45:06Speaker 1: really she want to let you go. But she ain't,
- 45:09Speaker 1: you know, she really ain't got it got it up
- 45:11Speaker 1: in her to say she want to let you go.
- 45:13Speaker 1: So I'm coming to you like a man and letting
- 45:16Speaker 1: you know. You know that she really wanted to shut
- 45:20Speaker 1: it down with you. We've been seeing each other for
- 45:22Speaker 1: a minute now, so I don't know how well you know,
- 45:26Speaker 1: I'm just coming at you like a man brother, trying
- 45:28Speaker 1: to let you know she don't even really want you
- 45:31Speaker 1: no more. You know, we've ben't talked about it, talked
- 45:34Speaker 1: about it, and I'm just trying to get it all.
- 45:37Speaker 1: I know. I'm tired. I'm tired of hiding with it. Really, okay, okay,
- 45:43Speaker 1: Well you know it's a lot smoother than I expected. Player, man,
- 45:49Speaker 1: it is what it is. It is what it is.
- 45:51Speaker 1: I mean, a long as long as you, as long
- 45:52Speaker 1: as you cool, I thought, you know, I just want
- 45:55Speaker 1: to be a man called or how I let you
- 45:56Speaker 1: let you know? Have you seen her today? And where
- 45:59Speaker 1: are you from Jersey? I'm up around Newark. I mean
- 46:04Speaker 1: you said it's a lot smooder than you thought I
- 46:06Speaker 1: was gonna be. Well, you know, anytime I'm another man
- 46:09Speaker 1: from the call, another man about his wife. I mean, yeah,
- 46:12Speaker 1: you don't expect it to be nothing, you know, pretty simple,
- 46:14Speaker 1: that's for sure. I didn't contemplate it a long time
- 46:17Speaker 1: by calling you saw you know, the day I just
- 46:19Speaker 1: said the head whatever, I get my number, So I've
- 46:22Speaker 1: been hand your number. I had your number a long time.
- 46:31Speaker 1: All right. Now you say you're looking uh, there's a
- 46:34Speaker 1: lot smoother than you thought it was gonna be. It
- 46:35Speaker 1: ain't that smooth. But you know you don't want you know,
- 46:39Speaker 1: like the thing is, you got one up woman because
- 46:41Speaker 1: you know my information. Now I's gonna come find you. Okay,
- 46:45Speaker 1: wait wait wait wait wait wait hold up? Now good?
- 46:48Speaker 1: You feel like I'm hold up? Okay, you feel like
- 46:52Speaker 1: you need to be looking for me or something. Brother, Look, look,
- 46:55Speaker 1: let's check this out. This is a decision that the
- 46:58Speaker 1: wife has made. You understand what I'm saying. So you
- 47:00Speaker 1: have no reason to be mad at me about anything.
- 47:03Speaker 1: You have no reason to be coming looking for me
- 47:05Speaker 1: or any information on me, because see, when that happens,
- 47:07Speaker 1: then it's gonna really get stinky up in here. And
- 47:10Speaker 1: I'm trying not to let that happen. That's why I'm
- 47:11Speaker 1: calling you like a man. Brother, Trust me. Ain't that
- 47:15Speaker 1: I'm never worried about. Okay, Well, I'm just letting you know, man,
- 47:18Speaker 1: I'm letting you know up front sheet with me and
- 47:20Speaker 1: her contemplated a long time, y'all to y'alla, so now
- 47:23Speaker 1: you know here we are. So I said, you know,
- 47:25Speaker 1: what the hell with it? I'm calling today. Y'all should
- 47:28Speaker 1: have did this on the phone together. I respect both
- 47:31Speaker 1: of y'all a lot more. Okay, well you know, and
- 47:33Speaker 1: then you know, if that's what it's got to be,
- 47:34Speaker 1: we be face to face together whatever it's gotta be, man, Okay, So,
- 47:40Speaker 1: but but let me ask you this here where it's
- 47:42Speaker 1: going in. Once we're both staying flat footed and tell
- 47:44Speaker 1: you how it is. Then what I ain't gonna never
- 47:48Speaker 1: be flat footed? Okay? What flat footed or upside down?
- 47:52Speaker 1: Ain't where you want to look at it. Bro, I'm
- 47:54Speaker 1: trying not to get into this physical part, but it
- 47:55Speaker 1: seemed like you're leaning that way with me. It could
- 47:58Speaker 1: be withever. You know, you could be on this side
- 48:00Speaker 1: of the dirt or the other side and don't make
- 48:02Speaker 1: it difference. It never does, brother, it never does. When
- 48:05Speaker 1: two bulls come together, one of them got to go down. No,
- 48:08Speaker 1: guess what we are doing? Too much talking? You've got
- 48:11Speaker 1: my information. Guess what now, I'm not loaded than hunter
- 48:14Speaker 1: for you. You lock and loaded. There's no need for
- 48:17Speaker 1: you to say. There's no need for us discussing anymore. Okay, cool?
- 48:20Speaker 1: You know why we at it, man, Let me go
- 48:22Speaker 1: and drop it all on you then, because it's it
- 48:25Speaker 1: seemed like we need to go and get it all
- 48:26Speaker 1: out the way. You cool, you know what I'm saying.
- 48:29Speaker 1: I think you need you know, a matter of fact,
- 48:31Speaker 1: if you want to just keep it all the way real,
- 48:33Speaker 1: you might want to go take a blood test about
- 48:35Speaker 1: a line and make sure you to Papa to that.
- 48:38Speaker 1: All right? Feel me? Got it? So I'm gonna have
- 48:46Speaker 1: your wife getting your car man because we didn't contemplate
- 48:48Speaker 1: it or too long and it's time. Yeah, you do that.
- 48:50Speaker 1: You know my information? Like I said, you said enough,
- 48:53Speaker 1: you're hit enough bones yet now I'm really loading hunter
- 48:56Speaker 1: for somebody, So you know what I mean. And somebody's
- 49:00Speaker 1: got to go. What you mean? Wait, what was all this?
- 49:03Speaker 1: Somebody got to go? What you're saying, somebody got to go? Okay,
- 49:10Speaker 1: you're talking about either me or you. One of us
- 49:11Speaker 1: got to go because you're saying the wrong thing. Because
- 49:14Speaker 1: what you must understand is if I've given you as
- 49:16Speaker 1: much information as I already have, that means I have
- 49:18Speaker 1: enough information to know where you are. Brother, you know
- 49:21Speaker 1: nothing about me norway I reside. So if you're gonna
- 49:23Speaker 1: talk about locking load and somebody got to go, then
- 49:26Speaker 1: you're saying it to the wrong person, because I'm already
- 49:28Speaker 1: up on you. Player. You got a first off, they
- 49:31Speaker 1: ain't really annoyed because it's got a country action. So
- 49:34Speaker 1: second off, like you've done them on the real street.
- 49:37Speaker 1: So however you want to handle it, you know my information.
- 49:40Speaker 1: Guess what. I don't reside did the more. I ain't
- 49:42Speaker 1: doing the more. That's what. Now you got to start
- 49:44Speaker 1: from scratch like me. I tell you, he'll go to math. Man,
- 49:48Speaker 1: you're ready for that. You're ready for this math, You're
- 49:52Speaker 1: ready to play. He'll go to math. This nephew Tommy
- 49:55Speaker 1: from the Steve Harvey mart And Show. You've been pranked
- 49:57Speaker 1: by your wife. I'm a killer, yeah black man. Until
- 50:03Speaker 1: I but you you kind of had me scared for
- 50:06Speaker 1: a minute because you really wasn't flinching. You whatever you
- 50:08Speaker 1: eating over there, you never did stop eating on it. Oh,
- 50:11Speaker 1: I ain't gonna stop eating keeps every morning. What's the
- 50:16Speaker 1: baddest radio morning show in the land, Steve Harvey Show.
- 50:22Speaker 1: That was a real timing. That little guy, real gangster
- 50:26Speaker 1: guy there that I was scared for. He was he
- 50:32Speaker 1: was gonna do something to you man, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 50:35Speaker 1: I felt hurt while he was talking. I felt pain coming.
- 50:38Speaker 1: I was like, okay, you want to all of us
- 50:42Speaker 1: tell him it's a joke quick. Hey man, hey man,
- 50:47Speaker 1: you wanna you you wanna keep it all away. Really
- 50:49Speaker 1: you probably need to get a blood test for little Alana. Yeah,
- 50:52Speaker 1: so yeah, he said right there, he said, right there,
- 50:55Speaker 1: you crossed the line. Now, he said, yeah, somebody got
- 50:57Speaker 1: to go now. And he said, Tommy, he said, he
- 51:01Speaker 1: don't live there, no, most so I'm looking for you.
- 51:04Speaker 1: That was checkmate, right there, that was ye, I'm still
- 51:10Speaker 1: I actually got scared Jay right now. Yeah, when your
- 51:16Speaker 1: heart started popping and you say, you know what, this
- 51:18Speaker 1: is not something I shouldn't. I should see see you
- 51:23Speaker 1: ain't from the north with that country, that country as
- 51:27Speaker 1: you got. If you ain't no north side blank and
- 51:30Speaker 1: blank nowhere, I'll see what you'll know. That was. That
- 51:39Speaker 1: was scary, Tommy. That was really scary, man. And the
- 51:43Speaker 1: fact that I know he wasn't afraid of you. He
- 51:45Speaker 1: never stopped eating. He never because most people put their
- 51:49Speaker 1: food down. To make a point, he was, let me
- 51:54Speaker 1: ask you something. You was listening. You was listening, and
- 51:57Speaker 1: what was he really eating? What was that well? I
- 52:00Speaker 1: don't know what it was, but he was able to
- 52:03Speaker 1: keep his mind on his food and you at the
- 52:06Speaker 1: same time. And he didn't want to beat. He didn't
- 52:09Speaker 1: speak huh uh broccoli or something. Yeah, I made it
- 52:19Speaker 1: through it, and uh, he's okay, you're not looking for me.
- 52:22Speaker 1: He's not wanting to me. But he sounded like a
- 52:25Speaker 1: guy that don't let the joke go though, Tommy, he does.
- 52:28Speaker 1: Let me tell you this jake. After we got through recording,
- 52:30Speaker 1: I did stay on long enough to make show are
- 52:33Speaker 1: you and I are we cool? You coold? Do you
- 52:38Speaker 1: need anything from me? You? Did he ever? You need
- 52:41Speaker 1: an autograph book from Steve? Whatever you need? I got that.

- 52:49Speaker 1: nephew playing you know whatever you did he ever crack

- 54:48Speaker 1: Subject post Valentine's Day drama. Dear Stephen Shirley, I need
- 54:54Speaker 1: help getting back on track with my girl. My girl
- 54:59Speaker 1: makes a big deal about Valentine's Day, even though I
- 55:02Speaker 1: spoil her all year long. I'm a true romantic and
- 55:06Speaker 1: I love this woman. I also have two female friends
- 55:10Speaker 1: that I've known for many years, and my girl is
- 55:13Speaker 1: friendly with them. This Valentine's Day, I went all out
- 55:17Speaker 1: and prepared for lay MiG young lobster tails, garlic, mashed potatoes,
- 55:23Speaker 1: and a Greek salad for my girl. I laid her
- 55:26Speaker 1: out with a nice gift, and I had her favorite
- 55:29Speaker 1: candles lit while we ate. I'm a chef, so I
- 55:33Speaker 1: cook like this for her all the time. Here's where
- 55:36Speaker 1: I went wrong. I also made a plate for my
- 55:41Speaker 1: female friend because she got dumped recently and she's been depressed.
- 55:46Speaker 1: I also sent a floral bouquet to my other female
- 55:49Speaker 1: friend because she just had a death in her family
- 55:52Speaker 1: and she's been grieving alone because of the quarantine. I
- 55:57Speaker 1: didn't mention it to my girl, and I didn't I
- 56:00Speaker 1: needed to our Valentine's Night got off to a great start,
- 56:04Speaker 1: and the drama started. After dinner, I went and jumped
- 56:08Speaker 1: in the shower and left my phone in the din. God,
- 56:15Speaker 1: my female friend sent a text a picture of the flowers,
- 56:21Speaker 1: saying thank you with a kissy face emoji. Of course,
- 56:26Speaker 1: I didn't have a password on my phone since I
- 56:28Speaker 1: don't have anything to hide. My girl was furious when
- 56:32Speaker 1: I got out of the shower and she left after
- 56:35Speaker 1: she showed me the text. An hour or so later,
- 56:38Speaker 1: my girl sent me a screenshot of my other female
- 56:41Speaker 1: friend's IG post and it was a picture of the
- 56:43Speaker 1: plate I gave her and the caption read my favorite chef.
- 56:49Speaker 1: It was the same food that I fixed for my girl.
- 56:53Speaker 1: My girl said it's over and told me I should
- 56:56Speaker 1: be with one of those girls instead, but I want her.
- 57:00Speaker 1: Can you please help me out here? Well, certainly gonna try.
- 57:07Speaker 1: Everything you did. Everything you did in this letter was
- 57:10Speaker 1: just dumb and dumber. I mean, seriously, you left your phone,
- 57:14Speaker 1: you did that? What were you thinking? I mean, you
- 57:17Speaker 1: started off great, though, I have to give you credit.
- 57:20Speaker 1: You started off great with a delicious meal, the lobster tail,
- 57:24Speaker 1: the candles, and you bought her a nice gift and everything.
- 57:29Speaker 1: I mean, but then you had to blow it. I mean,
- 57:32Speaker 1: you know this was supposed to be her special now
- 57:35Speaker 1: you said she makes a big deal about Valentine's Day.
- 57:39Speaker 1: You know this was her night for love and attention
- 57:42Speaker 1: from you, not your female friends. I mean, they could
- 57:46Speaker 1: have waited one more day. Then you could have included
- 57:49Speaker 1: your girl. You know, you guys could have both done
- 57:52Speaker 1: it together since they were both going through things and
- 57:54Speaker 1: she's friendly with them too. You said that would have
- 57:57Speaker 1: made it so much better. And you know what, no woman,
- 58:02Speaker 1: no woman wants to share Valentine today. They just don't.
- 58:04Speaker 1: They don't want to share it with anyone, let alone
- 58:08Speaker 1: to other women. Okay, I just can't stress. That's enough,
- 58:11Speaker 1: and that's why she's so mad right now. Can you
- 58:14Speaker 1: fix this? You say you need help. I don't know,
- 58:16Speaker 1: but you know, everything and anything is possible. You gotta
- 58:20Speaker 1: do a whole lot of begging and pleading and praying
- 58:23Speaker 1: and crying, all of that. All of that's a start.
- 58:26Speaker 1: That's a start. Because she's big mad right now. It's
- 58:29Speaker 1: gonna take something real big to get her back. I mean,
- 58:32Speaker 1: she might eventually come around, but you got to start
- 58:36Speaker 1: with asking her for forgiveness for what you did. Tell
- 58:39Speaker 1: her it was dumb. You weren't thinking, you know these
- 58:42Speaker 1: two girls, tell her why you did it and all
- 58:44Speaker 1: of that. But yeah, this was just dumb on your part.
- 58:47Speaker 1: I'm sorry. This was just dumb. And that's why your
- 58:52Speaker 1: girlfriend feels like you know, you do this for everyone,
- 58:55Speaker 1: what makes her special. That's what she's going through right now.
- 58:58Speaker 1: So you can try, you can try to fix it.
- 59:01Speaker 1: Anything's possible. Steve Well well a player or shout out.
- 59:07Speaker 1: Let me let me retract that statement, because you ain't

- 59:44Speaker 1: You can't have a phone without a pass code. So
- 59:47Speaker 1: your phone rang, anybody can answer it and got what? Dog?
- 59:54Speaker 1: Are you nuts? That's for starters? But you you real stupid.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: And you know I know you stupid because I've done
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: this before. Yes, I've done this with Christmas gifts, do

- 1:00:21Speaker 1: Hold that thought, Steve, Hold that thought. Please. We'll come
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: right back with part two of Steve's response to twenty
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: three minutes after the hour. The subject of my strawberry
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: letter today is post Valentine's Day drama. We'll get back
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: into it right after this. You're listening show, all right,
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: Come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter. The dumbest letter,
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: this fool day drama is the subject. Now, what this
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: food did, y'all? Was he want to get back on
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: track when this girl, because this girl makes a big
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: deal about Valentine's Day. Now he claims that he spoils
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: her all year long. That is questionable. I'm going to
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: explain it to you that right there is questionable. You
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: just did that to give yourself a cushion in this letter,
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: you know. Anyway, you also have two female friends that
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: I've known for many years, and my girl is friendly
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: with them. Really well, after we go with what happened
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: in the letter, don't seem like that all that damn
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: friendly to me? You know, somebody putting up with them
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: and going along with it just because you've insisted that
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: they're your good friends. But the moment something happened. She
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: shows you how friendly she is and how she feel
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: about your little friendship. I keep telling y'all about these
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: opposite sex friends y'all think y'all can have and ain't
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: gonna create no problems in your relationship. I've said it
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: a hundred times. You can have opposite sex friends, but
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: it's gonna lead to some situations. And here we are.
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: Your dumb ass made your girl a wonderful dinner. Garlic mash, potatoes, lobster,
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: you know FilmOn, and you're a chef. You said it
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: all out, got her favorite candle, y'all having Valentine's dinner.
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: You go to take a shower. You think it's fitting
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: be on and cracking. You fitting go get all this
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: smoky smell out you out your but because you cooked
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: all this felon hand lobster. You over here, you surfing turf.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: You smell like you smell like a cow in fish.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: So you did all up in here trying to get
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: sexy like your night just fitting to be jumping. Your
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: dumb ass, leave your phone in the it ain't got
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: no code on it, and it pop up. Your first
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: girlfriend who got dumped by her boyfriend. You fell sorry
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: for her, made her plates, send her the same damn
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: food you have made for your so the whole time
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: you cooking this special dinner for your girl, you don't
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: separated and made the same damn thing for your girl friend.
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: You're stupid, and then you send it to her and
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: you send her some damn anyway. She send you the
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: picture with kissy face, thank you the other girl that
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: your friend had a deafenitive family, no telling high damn
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: long ago. You didn't send her a flower and some
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: damn fool you just a fool. She send you a
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: text loving that and your girl see it. You come
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: out to shower or hell, break loose. She leaves. Now
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: you want to get back with her. See prep player,
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: here's your problem. You didn't messed up, and the probably
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: was costing you as your age because you never said
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: it in the letter. How old you are? Let me
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: tell you something. I was eighteen years old, man. I
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: went down to make company. They had a little special
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: at Christmas by one turk coorse bracelet, get another one free.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: So I bought my girlfriend and my side chick the
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: same damn bracelet. I go home, put them in the
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: same box, put their name on it, wrap it in
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: the same paper and set up there and got the
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: damn boxes mixed up. So when I hand for New
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: Year's Eve, I mean Christmas Eve, hup, bracelet turd. Course
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: Christmas Day I get my girlfriend hers. But when they
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: opened the boxes, they got each other name in it
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: because I had the same paper, same gilt, same box.
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: I'm eighteen, stupid, Now you're a grown man. You are
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: a chef somewhere your ass did this. I never recovered
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: from that. I end up losing both the chicks. They course,
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: even even at eighteen day was going you be a
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: stupid bigg They called me everything that was wrong with me.
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: That was when I had started getting used to my
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: physical features and I thought I had a chance maybe,
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: and they broke me down. They reminded me, you big, live,
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: wide nose, dumb ass, gonna sit up in here and
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: give me this box with this health of name on it.
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: Ought to go over. Then they ended up talking one
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: time found out they had the same damn gift. Huh Jesus,
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: but I was eighteen. This is not the one, Steve
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: that you said. The girl said that she didn't like
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: your face. That's no, this is a whole. Another guy,
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: I've been destroyed by women comments, mind tire life. Yeah,
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: I don't like your facial features. I discovered that in
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: the ninth grade, So that's what I was happy. So
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: I was trying to tell you that at eighteen, I
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: had worked through that, and then when I did this,
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: both of them brought it back up again. You big, live,
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: wide nose, stupid ass, and that shotted me again. It
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: took me right back to you don't like my facial features.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: And so the problem you got, dog is your ass
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: is old. Yeah, you didn't messed up. You're stupid. Feel special?
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: You need first thing? You need this pastor. Thank you Steve.

- 1:06:35Speaker 1: We got a few more days to go in Black
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: History Month. Everything black, let's see it, did see it twice.
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: It means something black black, that's d black black black.
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: All right, So did you guys, see the black Girl
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: magic historic moment when tennis greats Naomi Osaka played the
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: goat and her idol Serena Williams at the Australian Open.
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: You saw a jay right, Yeah, Naomi defeated Serenacca. Man
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: I was really pulling for us yea yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: for sentimental reasons and everything. Yeah, Naomi defeated She won,
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: She defeated Serena, but they hugged after the match. I
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: love that moment. I love that. It was beauty right,
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: good moment. Yeahah. Naomi spoke about Serena during an on
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: court interview. Take a listen. I don't know if there's
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: any little kids out here today, but I was a
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: little kid watching her play, and just to be on
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: the court playing against her, for me is a dream. Um.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: And I think the biggest thing that I've learned over
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: the years is just like you know, you're a competitor,
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: you're playing against another competitor, and um, that itself is
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: the funnest part, because tennis is a game. Yeah. I
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: love her. I love She's so sweet. Yeah, she's champions.
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: Just going ain't happening? Well after the match, After the match, guys,
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: Serena left the postgame interview. Take a listen to this,
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: considering how well you've played to get to this stage.
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: What do you feel cause that it was just one
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: of those bad days at the office. Oh um, I
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: don't know. That touched my heart? You know, it really
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: did touch any that. Yeah, she couldn't even answer to touch. Okay,
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: so so emotional. How many does Serena need to be?
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: Who have one already got it? Okay? So how many?
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: Okay that's Serena. How many does He's the greatest of
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: all time? Yeah, Tiger. I think Tiger's two or three
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: away to major major majors. He's tied with wins. I
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: think he wanted, I think got to win. But I
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: think he's missing three or four majors. When he won
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: the Masters the other year, that that knock him one
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: more closer. And but listen to me, man, make no
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: mistake about it. The greatest golfer of all time is
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: Tiger words. Sena is the greatest. Yeah Serena, y'all can't
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: you can't touch Serena. That is the greatest tennis player
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: to ever live? Yeah, man or woman, that's right. Her
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: husband was backing a t shirt that said my wife
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: is the greatest female athlete. Then the female was crossed out.
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: It just said my wife is the greatest athlete. I
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: love that. Love that, all right, congratulations to them both.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, we'll be

- 1:10:43Speaker 1: spoke to her and made her lead. That's the first thing.
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: And I'm thinking, God, I'm falling on my knees and
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: following I'm hugging the minister. I'm hugging all the brides maids.
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: Thank y'all for coming. Thank I'm thinking everybody, if that

- 1:11:07Speaker 1: the like that, I'm going over to my side of
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: the church where my family is and letting them know.
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: This is a prank. Okay, I just wanted us to
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: all get together because we don't really see each other
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: that much, you know. I'm just glad that we love
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: each other. The fact that y'all came out to be
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: a part of it. This but this wasn't really happening. Okay,
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: this is a joke. But I'm just glad we all together.
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: If we can all just now, you know, go downstairs
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: and get some drains and have some food. Have you
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: got all? Right? Come on, Steve, what's the first thing
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: you do if you were left at the altar? I'm
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: gonna go with my girlfriend's house and get you better
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: keep up, all right, guys, here's another one. What's the
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: first thing you do if you saw your neighbor cheating
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: on their significant other, on their wife or husband or whatever. Oh,
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: by my neighbor cheating, you ain't cheating my neighbors. So
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: there ain't no cheating going on because you yea, you
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: ain't seen you ain't seen these neighbors. That guy. Nobody's cheating,
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: no nobody. If I moved someplace else, I have new names,
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: but not the ones I got now, good, okay, okay,
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: this is two different deals here. Okay. Now, if it's
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: the female you know that's cheating, then I got to
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: go and let her know. We got to work a
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: deal because I didn't caut you. Okay, So I need it.
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: I need it. I needed air winds for me. Okay,
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: that's how. Yeah, air winds. Let's work this out. Now.
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: If for some male that's doing the cheat, I'm gonna
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: let you know. I'm gonna need five hundred okay, five
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: hundred dollars here two weeks until I feel like I
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: think you didn't learn your lesson. That's how we're gonna
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: work this up. Gonna go down right like that, all right?
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: Come on, Steve, what would you do the first thing
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: you do if you saw your neighbor cheating. I'm gonna

- 1:13:24Speaker 1: the edge of my yard and stupid. Yeah, all right,
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: here we go. What's the first thing you do if
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: you found the bag of money on the side of
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: the road. What how much you gotta put? An amount?
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: You gotta put? Thousands, thousands and thousands, ten thousand, ten thousand. Oh,
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: it's just going in my pocket ten thousand dollars. Yeah,
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: if you found a bag of money, let me tell
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: you how how game should be. I could see somebody
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: drop it and not notice it, and I'm still picking
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: it up, you know what I mean. I'm not gonna go, hey,
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: you dropped something if they don't see it. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: I'm good with it. Go ahead, big dog, take us

- 1:17:27Speaker 1: What's up? Benjamin Bannaker, who designed Washington d C. Laid
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: out the plans for Washington C. A hater once said
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: to him, what's up with all these one way streets?
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: And how do I get to Ben's chili bowl? And
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: these are haters? Haters Garrett Garrett Morgan, who invented the stoplight.
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: He invented the stoplight. A hater once said to him,
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: Let me get this right, that like the light turns
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: red and the light turns yellow. That's it. Oh my god,
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: hate us, hate us. Garrett Augustus Market, the man who

- 1:18:31Speaker 1: coming home from work, noticed that there was a Chicago fire.
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: This is where the phrase the roof, the roof, the
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: roof is on fire. But a man, a man, I'm
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: not finished. A man who worked at that same plan
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: saw the same fire and said, we don't need no water.
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: Let the We don't let them. We don't no water,
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: he said, the ruthless on fire. The man who used
