- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all all suit the don giving them like
- 0:15Speaker 1: the milking bu things. And it's good Steve listening together
- 0:27Speaker 1: for Steve, I don't join. You gotta turn hur you,
- 1:24Speaker 1: you gotta turn to turn them out. Turn, got to
- 1:44Speaker 1: turn them out, to turn the water of the water.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your baby, uh huh, I shore will
- 2:04Speaker 1: a good morning everybody. You are listening to the voice,
- 2:07Speaker 1: Come on dig me now. One and only Steve Harvey
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show. Man got a radio show because
- 2:14Speaker 1: God is in a blessing business. I just happened to
- 2:17Speaker 1: be a recipient. I just happened to got a couple
- 2:21Speaker 1: of things right, and man, his grace and mercy carries
- 2:28Speaker 1: you the rest of the way. All you got to
- 2:30Speaker 1: do is get a couple of things right, and then
- 2:34Speaker 1: his grace and his mercy will take over his favor,
- 2:38Speaker 1: his love of you. It's it's already evident. I mean,
- 2:42Speaker 1: you know, because so many times we go along without
- 2:45Speaker 1: even acknowledging him or conferring with him in our decisions,
- 2:48Speaker 1: and we look up when we find ourselves in a predicament,
- 2:51Speaker 1: and he always comes to the rescue. He always manages
- 2:56Speaker 1: to show up. He's never too late, he's never one
- 3:01Speaker 1: minute too late. And so in light of this today
- 3:05Speaker 1: I wanted to talk to you about something. It's another
- 3:11Speaker 1: principle of success that I'd like to share with everybody
- 3:16Speaker 1: this morning. And once again, these are not things that
- 3:18Speaker 1: you don't know or you've never heard before. These are
- 3:22Speaker 1: just reminders along the way. And one of the things
- 3:26Speaker 1: you have to be conscious of is don't be afraid
- 3:29Speaker 1: to change. Don't be afraid to change because change is
- 3:34Speaker 1: coming anyway. See, I have a theory, don't be afraid
- 3:39Speaker 1: to change because change is coming anyway. You know, everything changes,
- 3:44Speaker 1: nothing remains the same nothing, and change is inevitable. Now,
- 3:50Speaker 1: you could participate in the change, or you can react
- 3:54Speaker 1: to the change. Are you following me. You can participate
- 3:59Speaker 1: in the change or you can react to the change.
- 4:05Speaker 1: But don't be afraid to change because change is coming anyway. Now,
- 4:09Speaker 1: what I mean by that is this, in participating in
- 4:13Speaker 1: the change or reacting in the change, there is a difference. See,
- 4:20Speaker 1: if you react to the change, that means the change
- 4:23Speaker 1: has occurred and now you have to make the necessary
- 4:26Speaker 1: adjustments to the change. Example, the boss walks in. You
- 4:32Speaker 1: think your job is good. The boss walks in and
- 4:35Speaker 1: hands you a pink slip. That right there, that's a change.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Now you didn't participate in this change because you didn't
- 4:43Speaker 1: ask for the pink slip. But now you got to
- 4:45Speaker 1: react to the pink slip. Whenever you have to react
- 4:49Speaker 1: to the change, it's an adjustment period. It almost throws
- 4:55Speaker 1: you off. So change is going to come. It always does.
- 5:03Speaker 1: You could participate or you can react. Or let's say
- 5:10Speaker 1: your boss comes in and hands you the pink slip
- 5:13Speaker 1: and you said, you know what I've been preparing for
- 5:16Speaker 1: this day. Always knew nothing. Last forever, I've been working
- 5:22Speaker 1: on the sideline, on the business idea I had and
- 5:26Speaker 1: I had, or I had several other applications in around town.
- 5:29Speaker 1: I was just holding off to see what was going going.
- 5:32Speaker 1: So when they hand you the pink slip, the transition
- 5:35Speaker 1: to adjustment you make is a lot more smooth a
- 5:38Speaker 1: transition because now you just transition into your new business
- 5:42Speaker 1: I did that you've been working on, Or you transition
- 5:45Speaker 1: into the apps you already had in or the contacts
- 5:47Speaker 1: you made the preparation for when the day they're coming
- 5:51Speaker 1: in hand you the pink slip. Well, stee, what did
- 5:53Speaker 1: they surprise you with it? This is just one example
- 5:55Speaker 1: I'm giving you. So you know, let's not nick pick
- 5:59Speaker 1: the message. So what I'm saying to everybody is, don't
- 6:04Speaker 1: be afraid to change because change is coming anyway. So
- 6:08Speaker 1: many people are stuck in a rut because of your
- 6:12Speaker 1: our refusal to change. I was hell bent on a
- 6:18Speaker 1: certain thing going a certain way, and this is how
- 6:21Speaker 1: I was gonna go. Well, that that I was thinking
- 6:24Speaker 1: didn't really fit. Now in my own personal experience, this
- 6:28Speaker 1: may not be yours, but in my own personal experience,
- 6:31Speaker 1: the things that I've had the most trouble letting go
- 6:34Speaker 1: of was something I wanted when I line myself up
- 6:40Speaker 1: with the will of God to ask God what he
- 6:43Speaker 1: wanted for me. You understand, those things came a lot
- 6:49Speaker 1: more easy to me because it was in the will
- 6:52Speaker 1: of God. It was what God wanted me to do too. Okay,
- 6:55Speaker 1: see what you mean by that? Okay, here we go.
- 6:58Speaker 1: When things were going wrong in relationships for me, what
- 7:04Speaker 1: I did was the biggest mistake I've ever made, was
- 7:08Speaker 1: I attempted to fix what was wrong in my relationship
- 7:12Speaker 1: outside of the relationship filming. Okay, So I'm out there
- 7:18Speaker 1: working my groove like I want to. Well, now, guess what,
- 7:22Speaker 1: there's a cause and effect for all of that too.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Your house ain't gonna get better, it can't. And then
- 7:30Speaker 1: in that lady's room for some other things. And so
- 7:34Speaker 1: now that when the change come, guess what, I gotta
- 7:37Speaker 1: react to it. Now, I gotta, I gotta, I gotta
- 7:41Speaker 1: have a reaction to it. Had I lined myself up
- 7:44Speaker 1: in the will of God, the transition may have grown differently.
- 7:50Speaker 1: It could have still ended the relationship. But guess what,
- 7:54Speaker 1: some of the pain I was in I ain't had
- 7:56Speaker 1: to go through. I bought a lot on myself self.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Sometimes you're pursuing a passion of yours, and what God
- 8:06Speaker 1: really wants you to do is pursue your gift. So
- 8:10Speaker 1: now you're pursuing your passion. Right, you're passionate about golf.
- 8:14Speaker 1: You love golf so much you just determine. But now
- 8:17Speaker 1: you're messed around. You ain't made it on the PGA
- 8:20Speaker 1: Tour yet, and you fortify still talking about I'm gonna
- 8:23Speaker 1: play on the PGA Tour. Really, Okay, maybe you ain't
- 8:27Speaker 1: as good as as you think, or maybe you're not
- 8:29Speaker 1: as gifted as you think. Maybe you're pursuing a passion. Sometimes, man,
- 8:34Speaker 1: we have to change and we have to ask God
- 8:37Speaker 1: what is his will? His will is much simpler. It's
- 8:41Speaker 1: a simpler rule. Not going to be easier, it's simpler.
- 8:45Speaker 1: See when I wake up Now, it's simple for me
- 8:48Speaker 1: to wake up because I know that all a few
- 8:51Speaker 1: things that I have to do. I have to click
- 8:54Speaker 1: this mic on. I have to be positive. I have
- 8:57Speaker 1: to be inspirational. I have to be informative. I have
- 9:01Speaker 1: to be uplifting. Got it, That's what he want. All
- 9:05Speaker 1: I got to do is sit down, close my eyes,
- 9:08Speaker 1: ask God to help me be who he wants me
- 9:11Speaker 1: to be. And for the most part, he tell me
- 9:13Speaker 1: what to say. Now, guess what he's done though to
- 9:17Speaker 1: create this in me. I went through enough things in
- 9:20Speaker 1: my life. I had enough challenges. I made plenty of mistakes.
- 9:25Speaker 1: So I now, at my age, I can turn around
- 9:28Speaker 1: and tell somebody listening to me, Okay, this is what
- 9:30Speaker 1: I did. This is a mistake I made. Maybe you
- 9:32Speaker 1: see yourself in this story right here. Maybe you don't
- 9:34Speaker 1: have to go this way, or this is what I've
- 9:36Speaker 1: learned about becoming successful here's a principle that I learned.
- 9:40Speaker 1: But then guess what, I had to be unsuccessful to
- 9:43Speaker 1: get it though did not. So you can't have a
- 9:45Speaker 1: testimony without a test Change is coming. It's inevitable. You
- 9:50Speaker 1: can participate or you can react. I much prefer to
- 9:54Speaker 1: participate in the change. All right, let's go. You're listening,
- 10:02Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. I got it for you. I got
- 10:04Speaker 1: it for you. If you've been waiting on it. Here
- 10:06Speaker 1: it is. It's the Steve Harvey Morny Show period cold
- 10:12Speaker 1: the show in the world. You have other choices, you
- 10:16Speaker 1: have other things you could do in the morning. The
- 10:18Speaker 1: only place you can do this hill is right here.
- 10:22Speaker 1: This is. This is Steve Harvey Morning Show beat Shirley
- 10:27Speaker 1: Strawberry Colin for real. That girl out of Mississippi called
- 10:30Speaker 1: Mississippi Monica bought this boy right here. Kill spates learning
- 10:37Speaker 1: on the job Junior and the legend that he is
- 10:43Speaker 1: nephew Tommy. Well, Junior, what's on your mind? YEA, let
- 10:49Speaker 1: me just ask you something that's not you you. You've
- 10:53Speaker 1: been you for a very long time, sixty five years.
- 10:56Speaker 1: You know how you is? Do you ever just want
- 10:59Speaker 1: to just not be you? Would just start cussing everybody.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Have you ever just wanted that what wait, ever wanted
- 11:06Speaker 1: to just not be me and start cussing somebody out? Yeah,
- 11:10Speaker 1: just not be the celebrity. Obviously you don't really know me.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Oh you've been cussing. It used to be a resolution
- 11:22Speaker 1: to stop cussing. I remember that day you tried to
- 11:27Speaker 1: do it. Yeah, I had. I've given that up so
- 11:31Speaker 1: many times. I don't even apologize for it. No more journey,
- 11:34Speaker 1: I don't even I don't even I'm so sorry. No,
- 11:37Speaker 1: I'm meant it ard one time. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 11:42Speaker 1: We had a money y'all for cussing. The y'all will
- 11:45Speaker 1: feel after the first day. Oh, man, come on, No,
- 11:54Speaker 1: I'm not. I'm not. I've just decided and that's how
- 11:57Speaker 1: I am. Now. If you don't like cussing and every thing,
- 12:00Speaker 1: and you judgmental about people who cause I understand where
- 12:03Speaker 1: you're coming from, don't you don't have to cuss. But
- 12:06Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you right now me personally, Yeah, I
- 12:12Speaker 1: recommend it stress reliever girl. I don't have users, I
- 12:20Speaker 1: don't have high blood pressure, high potential. I ain't got
- 12:24Speaker 1: none of that stuff. Man, I ain't got I ain't ain't.
- 12:27Speaker 1: I ain't got chronic illness. You know I had none
- 12:32Speaker 1: of that, man, I ain't bipolar. You don't have none
- 12:35Speaker 1: of that. You know why because I let sit out. Yeah,
- 12:40Speaker 1: it's not, it's not. I don't give it time to
- 12:42Speaker 1: fester in me. I'm not sitting around. I'm not bitter. No,
- 12:48Speaker 1: I don't hold grudges because the moment we have the grudge,
- 12:54Speaker 1: I'm gonna get to you that way, I ain't got
- 12:57Speaker 1: to hold it. Yeah, dah, man, I'm leving in my
- 13:01Speaker 1: life and it's it's okay. And after this birthday right here,
- 13:05Speaker 1: I'm telling you, man, I'm just more settling who I am.
- 13:08Speaker 1: And if you do not like me, it's okay, man,
- 13:13Speaker 1: it's okay. Most people out that I discovered don't like me.
- 13:20Speaker 1: I immediately starts disliking their ass and we eat. You
- 13:26Speaker 1: gotta do this no more. It ain't no problem that
- 13:29Speaker 1: what we're doing, what we like you, Steve, we like

- 20:29Speaker 1: she man, what is what is the baddest And I'm
- 20:32Speaker 1: talking about the baddest radio show in the land, Steve
- 20:35Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show player. Man, I'm listening to y'all every
- 20:38Speaker 1: morning man, give it to me. People. All right, we'll
- 20:45Speaker 1: be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 20:48Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to Steve Morning Show, It's
- 20:54Speaker 1: time for something funny. Um. Inviting a date Steve back
- 20:58Speaker 1: to your home is certainly a extept, you know, in
- 21:01Speaker 1: the relationship when you've moved it on to that level.
- 21:04Speaker 1: And as you can imagine, there are definitely things that
- 21:07Speaker 1: you can do to make sure that visit leaves a
- 21:09Speaker 1: lasting impression. And I'm talking about in a good way. Okay.
- 21:13Speaker 1: For example, for men to go to a woman's home,
- 21:17Speaker 1: definite turn ons include a nice smelling home. Everyone likes,
- 21:21Speaker 1: you know, when you walk in the house smells good,
- 21:24Speaker 1: you know, books on display, things like that. While for women,
- 21:30Speaker 1: if you visit it, if we visit a man's house,
- 21:32Speaker 1: we again like a nice smelling home. Also a man
- 21:36Speaker 1: having like family photos on display and even a doormat
- 21:40Speaker 1: before you even get inside the house. So Steve, Tommy
- 21:44Speaker 1: and Junior, I have to ask you what things turn
- 21:46Speaker 1: you on and turn you off when you visit your
- 21:48Speaker 1: dates home for the first time. Think back, guys, oh
- 21:52Speaker 1: that hair around that's s You're in the bathroom already. Yeah,
- 21:57Speaker 1: and I go to bathroom. I see all it had
- 21:59Speaker 1: on that scene. That gets on my nerves. But you
- 22:04Speaker 1: want somebody leaving the toilet seat down, get this half
- 22:07Speaker 1: up from around the sink. Who come on, tell me
- 22:13Speaker 1: what you got that pregnancy test that's in the trash
- 22:17Speaker 1: can right there? The kind of bother me, you know
- 22:20Speaker 1: what I'm mean. I goes in trash and medicine cabinets,
- 22:25Speaker 1: I get in all that. I want to know what's
- 22:27Speaker 1: wrong with you? All right? Come on, Steve Well and
- 22:32Speaker 1: I'm just thinking, you know, I like a woman's house
- 22:35Speaker 1: that's clean, thank you. That is number one in your
- 22:40Speaker 1: house be clean? Yes, yes, If your house nasty, and
- 22:44Speaker 1: I'm over here for the first time and we're looking
- 22:47Speaker 1: at first impressions, my impression immediately is you nast that's it.
- 22:54Speaker 1: I mean it's got to be. I mean, if you
- 22:55Speaker 1: ain't got no sense to put your best foot forward
- 22:58Speaker 1: on the first date. So I like a woman's house
- 23:01Speaker 1: who's first of all clean. Yep, nothing now, fellas, when
- 23:06Speaker 1: she come over your house, she has the right to
- 23:08Speaker 1: expect the same that your house is clean. For breeze,
- 23:15Speaker 1: get a can go through the for breeze high garbage smell. Yeah,
- 23:21Speaker 1: and you know, men have a tendency made men's house
- 23:24Speaker 1: a lot of times be a little stale because men
- 23:27Speaker 1: don't know, they don't. Are you right about that? Here's
- 23:30Speaker 1: a suggestion I have for men. If you're gonna have
- 23:33Speaker 1: a woman over your house, hid your medicine. You don't
- 23:39Speaker 1: put it. You can't explain medicine. If you got any medicine,
- 23:45Speaker 1: hide it. I don't care if it's celebrates. Most people
- 23:49Speaker 1: don't know what that is. Excuse me, sound real close
- 23:53Speaker 1: to you know, like VD? Yeah, anything started with seller. Yeah, yeah,
- 24:02Speaker 1: you gotta sell it, laps. Can we say just have
- 24:06Speaker 1: a clean, good smelling house. Can we just say that
- 24:10Speaker 1: you need to get to medicine. But you can't explain
- 24:14Speaker 1: this to people that's out of your own house because
- 24:16Speaker 1: most medicine you can't pronounce it. It is no. So
- 24:22Speaker 1: what is this anatavia in your Yeah? That's that sounds real.
- 24:27Speaker 1: I don't know. No, damn, Anastasia, I said anatavia. Oh
- 24:32Speaker 1: that's yogurt activia. It's in your medicine, Kevin, do you
- 24:37Speaker 1: don't even know what it is? Because this is crazy?
- 24:43Speaker 1: What is you taking testosterone? She saw it? What is
- 24:54Speaker 1: you taking testosterone? Is hanging? She come I did, you'd
- 25:00Speaker 1: bought some Chinese remedies, she come up. What this black
- 25:03Speaker 1: cat didn't say though, that this girl you were dating
- 25:10Speaker 1: was so gorgeous and you went over a house and
- 25:13Speaker 1: she had roaches or something. That story about that story,
- 25:18Speaker 1: But I did another one. One time I met this
- 25:21Speaker 1: girl from Louisiana in college that was gorgeous. I didn't
- 25:25Speaker 1: know how to talk to him. My brother helped me.
- 25:29Speaker 1: Finally we went out. My brother sent me a little
- 25:32Speaker 1: bit of money. I had a little money. It was
- 25:33Speaker 1: a creole restaurant, and I let her order lords. Man,
- 25:38Speaker 1: this health of order, so much spicy food. I'm just
- 25:42Speaker 1: eating heads waiting, I'm digging under my arm. I'm in there, man,
- 25:49Speaker 1: purse bryan so hard. So I'm dropping her off at
- 25:53Speaker 1: her at her mama house. Okay, now my stomach was
- 25:59Speaker 1: cutting up. My mama always told you when you got
- 26:04Speaker 1: to go bathroom, just just going home. Yes, and that
- 26:08Speaker 1: isn't nobody how But the girl said, my mama need
- 26:13Speaker 1: not home. Why don't you come on in for a
- 26:14Speaker 1: little while. I'm gonna say no, but you'r you got bubba, God,
- 26:19Speaker 1: you got bubba Gods, though, no, did you You ain't
- 26:22Speaker 1: heard I heard what you say, though I know why
- 26:24Speaker 1: you went in there. You findest hell come on in?
- 26:27Speaker 1: And I just said, okay, let me just go on
- 26:29Speaker 1: in for a little while. We're sitting on the couch
- 26:31Speaker 1: watching TV. I can hear my stomach that is just
- 26:35Speaker 1: doing flips. So I said, excuse me, can't use the bathroom?
- 26:42Speaker 1: She said, it's straight down the hallway, second dough on
- 26:45Speaker 1: the left. God, I go in there, and Lord have mercy,
- 26:51Speaker 1: the walls of your balto coming, the walls of your
- 26:57Speaker 1: bra I don't grabbed the tie wreck in front of
- 27:02Speaker 1: me to just try to hang on. I'm twisting the
- 27:05Speaker 1: guest tile in my head like I'm ranging it out.
- 27:08Speaker 1: I didn't knock the tallet tissue holder off the wall
- 27:13Speaker 1: screws out everything. I didn't kicked over the trash. Can
- 27:17Speaker 1: you can hear this right? I don't get he wasn't
- 27:22Speaker 1: feeling what I was feeling. But I'm using the bathroom
- 27:26Speaker 1: so much that is alarming to me. Yeah. You, I've
- 27:32Speaker 1: actually put more in now than I've ever put in
- 27:36Speaker 1: there in my life prior to I think we got.
- 27:40Speaker 1: I didn't know what you don't stop my story shooting.
- 27:45Speaker 1: This is for junior and time. I know. So I'm
- 27:48Speaker 1: feeling the bowler. So finally I'm done. To my relief,
- 27:52Speaker 1: I'm but I'm sweating though I'm talking about I'm in
- 27:55Speaker 1: there shirt wide. I'm butting my whole shirt. It's wide over.
- 28:04Speaker 1: I had hung my past up on the back of
- 28:07Speaker 1: the doe because I use a bathroom like my daddy.
- 28:10Speaker 1: I always hate my pants and draws up on the
- 28:12Speaker 1: back of the Yeah, you know what ever used the bathroom.
- 28:18Speaker 1: But I got my shirt on, but I didn't open
- 28:20Speaker 1: it up because it's hot. I got just just water
- 28:23Speaker 1: coming down out the front. So I stand up and
- 28:29Speaker 1: I flushed the toilet. Now I'm putting my clothes on.
- 28:33Speaker 1: But you know how you're waiting to hear that sound
- 28:37Speaker 1: that here. All I hear is to swirl it. And
- 28:45Speaker 1: I turned around and in his rising rising, I'm asking
- 28:52Speaker 1: God not to do this to me today. I'm asking God,
- 28:59Speaker 1: don't not today. Lord. Part two, right after this you're listening,
- 29:09Speaker 1: just catch up. I'm over this fine girl house stomach
- 29:13Speaker 1: toe up to eight gree old Food seventeen should have
- 29:16Speaker 1: went home to use the bath food set in the
- 29:19Speaker 1: house because she's fine. Now I'm in here using the
- 29:21Speaker 1: bathroom and all held and broken. I'm in here, neked,
- 29:26Speaker 1: sitting on the tarlet, just my shirt on because I
- 29:29Speaker 1: like to shit wide leg I like to be open
- 29:32Speaker 1: and free, and I need it because I had to
- 29:34Speaker 1: brace myself a couple of times. But she never came
- 29:37Speaker 1: in there. Not chet she coming, that's coming in the store.
- 29:42Speaker 1: So I get up. I finally get through. But I've
- 29:44Speaker 1: noticed that I'm putting more in the bowls and ever
- 29:46Speaker 1: be so I'm a little bit concerned with the ship volume.
- 29:51Speaker 1: So I flushed the toilet as I'm putting my pass
- 29:54Speaker 1: back up on me and I'm waiting to hear that.
- 29:58Speaker 1: But I don't hear. And I look back and let's
- 30:04Speaker 1: going in a slow circle. So I go in. I
- 30:08Speaker 1: go to my heavenly father. Here, father dog the boy,
- 30:13Speaker 1: Now Lord, stop this rising time. Wow, somehow, don't let
- 30:21Speaker 1: this swirl get up by the top. But he didn't
- 30:24Speaker 1: hear me that day. Yes, I guess it wasn't. Let
- 30:27Speaker 1: The next thing I know, it's at the very top
- 30:30Speaker 1: of the tarlet. Oh my god, and it's about to
- 30:34Speaker 1: flow over. So now I don't know what to do.
- 30:39Speaker 1: So I look down and it's a trash can. So
- 30:44Speaker 1: I dipped the trash can down in it up and
- 30:47Speaker 1: I got a trash can full of it. Yeah, so
- 30:51Speaker 1: I pulled a shower curtin back throw it in the
- 30:54Speaker 1: bath too. When here comes some more. So I had
- 31:01Speaker 1: to take another trash can full of it and throw
- 31:05Speaker 1: another trash can in the bathtub. And here comes some
- 31:09Speaker 1: damn mot So now I realized they call it is broken,
- 31:14Speaker 1: they call it backed up, and it started going back down.
- 31:21Speaker 1: I say, I gotta get some water and put it
- 31:24Speaker 1: into here. So I started running water into trash can
- 31:28Speaker 1: to pour it down there and make the water go clean.
- 31:32Speaker 1: So I finally did that, and I said, thank your Lord,
- 31:36Speaker 1: and I looked over the damn bathtub is striped. So
- 31:42Speaker 1: now I cut these people's shower on and I'm washing
- 31:47Speaker 1: down the walls the shower curtain with the shower. The
- 31:52Speaker 1: girl comes up to the girl because I've been in
- 31:54Speaker 1: here now about forty five minutes time. So she said,
- 32:00Speaker 1: you don't care down everything fast. She said, it sounds
- 32:08Speaker 1: like something wrong in that to get away from the
- 32:15Speaker 1: day my house. So I'm in there. It's just too late.
- 32:22Speaker 1: But I noticed they got a candle in the bath foods,
- 32:25Speaker 1: I light it. I like the candle. Start striking matches
- 32:29Speaker 1: and running tap water. That for my mom always told me,
- 32:32Speaker 1: strike some matches and run some tap water and to
- 32:34Speaker 1: help you get rid of older. So I'm in there.
- 32:37Speaker 1: But now I'm washing down shower, curtains, wall, the bathtub,
- 32:41Speaker 1: getting up stuff off the floe. Now, now you probably saying, Steve,
- 32:47Speaker 1: what is you washing it down with? Yeah? What paper
- 32:51Speaker 1: tis in? Now? But that tie rat that I had
- 32:54Speaker 1: grabbed when I first sat down and was twisting it. Yeah,
- 32:57Speaker 1: they guessed how the pretty one with the lace and
- 33:00Speaker 1: that forward. Yeah yeah, yeah that when I washed it down.
- 33:08Speaker 1: That my good towel that is tie is brown. I
- 33:14Speaker 1: can't risten it all out. The color wasn't when it started.
- 33:20Speaker 1: That was pain. This is awful that it towles is running.
- 33:23Speaker 1: I don't washed all the walls down. Everything I'm in
- 33:27Speaker 1: that sweatings been on the construction site. I've been in
- 33:33Speaker 1: that total about damn near hour. So I put the
- 33:37Speaker 1: fastened my clothes, I look at the bath rooms. I
- 33:40Speaker 1: got everything up, but I got this big nasty ass
- 33:43Speaker 1: tie and I don't know what to do with it.
- 33:46Speaker 1: So I take it, put it in the waste paper
- 33:48Speaker 1: can that I've been bailing with, and struck all that
- 33:51Speaker 1: under the sink. I figured this ain't gonna be good.
- 33:57Speaker 1: No how Yeah, but at least when they come in here,
- 34:01Speaker 1: it's gonna take a moment, because I know when you
- 34:03Speaker 1: go in there, you're gonna have to say what they happened.
- 34:08Speaker 1: Because I couldn't remember how the shower curtain was. None
- 34:10Speaker 1: of that. Now I got I look, I'm taking I
- 34:14Speaker 1: got everything off right right. So I walked down the hallway.
- 34:18Speaker 1: She's sitting on the couch with her attitude of cos
- 34:22Speaker 1: folded did She look at me and she said, why
- 34:25Speaker 1: are you been in that so long? I had a
- 34:27Speaker 1: little accident this, She said, Oh my god, look at you.
- 34:32Speaker 1: What was it? I didn't realize when I was boiling
- 34:39Speaker 1: hold that mess into the shower it was splashing on
- 34:44Speaker 1: my pants below my knee. I ain't had time to
- 34:49Speaker 1: look at this because I'm too busy cleaning up their
- 34:52Speaker 1: damn house. Now I looked down, it's just specks, splash
- 34:59Speaker 1: marks from my knee down my pants was trip? I
- 35:05Speaker 1: looked at Huh. She looked at me and she said,
- 35:07Speaker 1: oh my god, look at you, what have you been doing?
- 35:13Speaker 1: I looked at her and said, you ain't got talk
- 35:15Speaker 1: to me like that and walked out the scam when
- 35:22Speaker 1: it ain't, got in my car, had to ride home,
- 35:25Speaker 1: and all my wonders that because I spake, I smelled
- 35:30Speaker 1: like sitting in that car and home. That girl saw
- 35:37Speaker 1: me on the campus next day and all her girlfriend
- 35:39Speaker 1: was looking at me I like I had never met her.
- 35:44Speaker 1: And that was my save harbis. Wow, trapped, trapped. You're
- 35:49Speaker 1: listening Stry Morning Show. It is time for a round
- 35:54Speaker 1: of would you rather out the gate? You want to
- 35:57Speaker 1: pick it blindly? Nine? That don't work out? It hasn't
- 36:02Speaker 1: for me, that's for sure. All right. Would you rather
- 36:08Speaker 1: work and you're cleaning up toxic waste or would you
- 36:13Speaker 1: rather work as a mortician's assistant? Yeah, I'm gonna clean
- 36:17Speaker 1: up the toxic w Yeah I'm not really, I'm going
- 36:23Speaker 1: down that damn for you a home. I'm not in
- 36:25Speaker 1: that waste. I'm not in that waste. I'm sorry. You know,
- 36:29Speaker 1: toxic waste. They talking about toxic material. They're not talking
- 36:32Speaker 1: about like sugar, honey, iced tea, not that. Because I
- 36:36Speaker 1: have toxic waste myself. You're familiar with it. I'm good
- 36:41Speaker 1: from me with that. I'm accustomed to that. I deal
- 36:43Speaker 1: with toxic waste time. I'm not gonna win there. I
- 36:47Speaker 1: know them here were mine toxic. Yeah, so I'm not
- 36:52Speaker 1: even going I'm not That's not a fear of mine.

- 37:08Speaker 1: that man, clothes or nothing, no, same the same outfit
- 37:19Speaker 1: he died in. I'm gonna be the worst mortician. I'm

- 37:54Speaker 1: not doing all that. I'm not in funeral looking at us,
- 37:59Speaker 1: none of that, y'all closed casket. I told you it's
- 38:04Speaker 1: saying when he was eating, eat his head beat. You're crazy?

- 39:16Speaker 1: Number one ice cream okay? Number two, old music, come on,
- 39:24Speaker 1: come on, yeah, I know all right. Number three, how
- 39:27Speaker 1: to protect the food in the fridge. That's a pretty
- 39:31Speaker 1: good one. Number four, I'm not the bank that yeah, okay.

- 40:08Speaker 1: your teeth till they start bleeding, right, and then you
- 40:10Speaker 1: bite your sandwich and wrap that in selling thing and
- 40:14Speaker 1: stop that back in there. I'll be damn anybody your
- 40:21Speaker 1: teeth real good? Did it'll be not? Did they believe

- 41:43Speaker 1: you gonna come back in there, s you just look

- 41:55Speaker 1: but not food. Yeah, because I protective. Yeah, put it in.
- 42:01Speaker 1: Let spend a long how to protect the food in
- 42:04Speaker 1: the fridge chain. Oh, the best way to do it
- 42:07Speaker 1: is you can put it way inside. You put it inside,
- 42:10Speaker 1: but sure you smash it up. You take your sandwich
- 42:12Speaker 1: and you bawl it up real tight, just as small
- 42:15Speaker 1: as you can make it, and put it and wrap
- 42:17Speaker 1: it in cell and then stick that inside the bacon,
- 42:21Speaker 1: sold the box, put it inside the sandwich. That's what
- 42:29Speaker 1: I'm talking about. But it will be that when you
- 42:31Speaker 1: get protect again. I tell you what we're really do it.
- 42:39Speaker 1: Go buy the dog shelter. Get an unhappy pit bull
- 42:44Speaker 1: him in the break room. When they opened that door,
- 42:56Speaker 1: on the inside. Just turn the temperature down just a
- 42:59Speaker 1: little bit so he can survive. He's in the fridge
- 43:06Speaker 1: in the brake. They've been walking in there graceful because
- 43:09Speaker 1: they've been eating your stuff every day. This can't halt

- 47:48Speaker 1: I want to trop him my husband when he said
- 47:51Speaker 1: I do, he said, I do steps whatever she said
- 47:53Speaker 1: to me, whenever she says at high ever he said this,
- 47:54Speaker 1: and never he gets And if he has the problems
- 47:57Speaker 1: we're arguing me shitty to start his craft and he
- 47:59Speaker 1: won't beanot argument and you tell him that. You see,
- 48:01Speaker 1: this is what we're talking about. This is why he's
- 48:03Speaker 1: been picked up today and brought into our custody so
- 48:06Speaker 1: that he would be definitely protected from you. You know
- 48:08Speaker 1: what if he needs a profession and he's in your company,
- 48:11Speaker 1: as you can keep him there. How that Well, here's
- 48:13Speaker 1: what we're gonna do. Somebody's gonna be picking you up,

- 48:28Speaker 1: bring the shot with you? You're gonna be coming in
- 48:32Speaker 1: and you're gonna do it company where we can anywhere
- 48:35Speaker 1: anybody wants all you physically or mentally abusing your husband.
- 48:38Speaker 1: You know what, you don't have to pick me up,
- 48:40Speaker 1: tell me where you I will come to you want
- 48:41Speaker 1: to pick me up, I will. I will come down there.
- 48:43Speaker 1: I will handle you in him. At the same time,
- 48:46Speaker 1: tell me you as we're talking to me about I'm
- 48:49Speaker 1: gonna ask you a serious question. Is it sounds like
- 48:51Speaker 1: a consequence of he doesn't listen to you? I mean,
- 48:54Speaker 1: I mean, what are you doing? Are you're treating your
- 48:56Speaker 1: husband like a child? What are you doing to him?
- 48:59Speaker 1: Asking a lot of the post gonna get treated like
- 49:00Speaker 1: the cat if you if he has the problem with
- 49:02Speaker 1: how I treat him, you talk to him behind He asked.
- 49:04Speaker 1: Let me ask you something, miss Morgan. What do you

- 49:08Speaker 1: and about to cross security on me because I'm loud
- 49:11Speaker 1: in this room down because you're a security so you
- 49:14Speaker 1: don't know all about putting people in choke calls and
- 49:16Speaker 1: how to apprehend the person, don't you That is my job? Yes?
- 49:19Speaker 1: I did, so are you doing that at home? What
- 49:23Speaker 1: I'm not gonna tell you again? I don't harm that
- 49:25Speaker 1: man in any way, no west have I ever what
- 49:28Speaker 1: I ever? Nor has he need? He needs to get
- 49:31Speaker 1: him behind in his car and go back to work.
- 49:33Speaker 1: We have builds to things don't as high for this crap.
- 49:35Speaker 1: I got one more thing I need to say to
- 49:37Speaker 1: you or you're listening. You have nothing to say to me,
- 49:39Speaker 1: But then you got to put my husband it's trying
- 49:40Speaker 1: to Let me talk to him about this. Shut sit down,
- 49:44Speaker 1: sit down, get him handing him the phone. Let me talks.
- 49:47Speaker 1: I need to understand what had I got it. Let
- 49:50Speaker 1: me finish the talk conversation with Okay, no, you don't
- 49:53Speaker 1: need to sindish. Let me finish on his putting him
- 49:55Speaker 1: on the phone. Hello, I have one more thing to
- 49:58Speaker 1: ask you. Are you listening? Are you listening? Good? Ahead?

- 50:31Speaker 1: at right now? Man? I was worried about the people
- 50:34Speaker 1: at your job. Where you at? I'm back here in
- 50:36Speaker 1: this swearing like a freaking pig, in heat, dripping makeup everywhere.
- 50:45Speaker 1: I cannot believe this. Oh god, man, Okay, baby, I
- 50:49Speaker 1: gotta ask you, what is the baddest I'm talking about
- 50:52Speaker 1: the baddest radio show in the land, The Steve Harvey
- 50:57Speaker 1: Morning Show. You too much? You know y'all gotta give
- 51:07Speaker 1: it to me now, by okay, let me ask. You
- 51:14Speaker 1: don't even ask me because I love it. You just ask,
- 51:18Speaker 1: and I appreciate that, Jake. You know I need that
- 51:20Speaker 1: kind of love and support. Let me ask y'all something, though,
- 51:23Speaker 1: Who is it with it that you would? Who is
- 51:25Speaker 1: it that you think I can't prank? Give me that
- 51:29Speaker 1: put me to a challenge. Who do you think I
- 51:32Speaker 1: can't prank? Trumpama? Obama and Trump neither one of Michael
- 51:39Speaker 1: Jordan's wolf what I'm just challenging, Oprah, I got challenges
- 51:46Speaker 1: for you. I'm not gonna I'm not okay, okay, I'm

- 53:10Speaker 1: what we have right now. Buckle up and hold on tight.
- 53:13Speaker 1: We gotta for you here. It is the Strawberry Lettah
- 53:16Speaker 1: Morgan Freed all right. Subject, I need to help this
- 53:20Speaker 1: poor child. Dear Stephen Shirley. Thirteen years ago, I became
- 53:24Speaker 1: friends with a newly married young couple at church. They
- 53:28Speaker 1: have two children and they are good, god fearing people
- 53:31Speaker 1: with large heart. The only problem is that they are
- 53:34Speaker 1: not BookSmart, and the wife is liking in the common
- 53:37Speaker 1: sense department too. They both speak terribly and their subject
- 53:42Speaker 1: and verb agreement is always off. Their spelling is even worse.
- 53:46Speaker 1: I hate to admit it, But when I first met
- 53:48Speaker 1: this couple, my first impression was that they were They
- 53:51Speaker 1: both had learning disabilities when they were younger, and that's
- 53:55Speaker 1: how they met. After knowing them a while, I know
- 53:58Speaker 1: that's not true. The husband never graduated from high school
- 54:02Speaker 1: and the wife just recently got her ged. We are
- 54:05Speaker 1: all in a church group and we discuss family stuff.
- 54:10Speaker 1: So since it's back to schooltime, we were all happy
- 54:13Speaker 1: to see our children going back to the classroom, all
- 54:17Speaker 1: of us except this one couple. They announced to the
- 54:20Speaker 1: group that they planned to homeschool. They're eight year old
- 54:23Speaker 1: this semester. Everyone in the group started looking around and
- 54:27Speaker 1: we were all quiet. We left a church meeting, and
- 54:30Speaker 1: before I could get in my house, goood, I had
- 54:32Speaker 1: three messages from people in our group telling me I
- 54:35Speaker 1: had to stop them or their child would be ruined
- 54:38Speaker 1: for life. Since I'm the closest one to them, they
- 54:41Speaker 1: suggested I tell them. How can I tell my friend
- 54:44Speaker 1: that homeschool and her child may turn her child into
- 54:47Speaker 1: a little dummy. Maybe I can talk to a counselor
- 54:50Speaker 1: down at the school where the child is supposed to
- 54:52Speaker 1: be enrolled. Or should I mind my own business? Mind
- 54:56Speaker 1: my business and just pray that this turns out better
- 54:59Speaker 1: than we expected. I feel like I owe it to
- 55:01Speaker 1: the child to speak up thoughts. Okay, now, you know
- 55:07Speaker 1: you can't tell these people how to raise and educate
- 55:10Speaker 1: their children. You know you can't do that. That will
- 55:13Speaker 1: cause major problems. You can only suggest to them. You
- 55:17Speaker 1: can only just try to help them in some way.
- 55:20Speaker 1: You say they speak terribly, they don't have much common
- 55:23Speaker 1: sense or book sense. You say they're good, god fearing
- 55:26Speaker 1: people with large hearts. You said that in your letters.
- 55:28Speaker 1: So hopefully these good god fearing people with large hearts,
- 55:32Speaker 1: they will welcome your advice and your suggestions. But you
- 55:37Speaker 1: can't go in there, you know, trying to take over
- 55:39Speaker 1: and oversteps. These are their children, not yours. Talking to
- 55:43Speaker 1: the school counselor telling the mom that the homeschooling will
- 55:47Speaker 1: turn her child into a little dummy, that's very unacceptable,
- 55:50Speaker 1: that's out of line. Okay, as a friend, just try
- 55:54Speaker 1: to help her, maybe set up her homeschool procedure, you know,
- 55:57Speaker 1: the processes, the things you have to go through to
- 55:59Speaker 1: do that. You can contribute and help the kids read
- 56:03Speaker 1: and things like that. I think the fact that the
- 56:07Speaker 1: mom just recently got her ged. I think that that
- 56:11Speaker 1: means that she's trying to do better, and she wants
- 56:13Speaker 1: to do better, and she wants to do better for
- 56:15Speaker 1: her kids. So support her, encourage her, be a friend
- 56:20Speaker 1: to her, but don't take over. Get in there and
- 56:22Speaker 1: you know, yeah, you should mind your own business. Get
- 56:25Speaker 1: all up in their business. She could end up resenting
- 56:29Speaker 1: you and this couldn't This wouldn't be good, Steve, I disagree.
- 56:34Speaker 1: So damn what somebody got to say these babies, Somebody
- 56:42Speaker 1: need to stop this forward happen to ignorant ass people
- 56:45Speaker 1: can't own school a baby. You just said, she just
- 56:51Speaker 1: recently got her damn ged and the hub and just
- 56:54Speaker 1: got here. Day farty. Now you're sitting up in here,
- 57:00Speaker 1: sending up here, sarily. See that's your problem, Sherley. You
- 57:03Speaker 1: just you're a Christian and y'all way on indeed them
- 57:06Speaker 1: ainything and they don't stay in it. Somebody got to
- 57:09Speaker 1: get in here. Last thing we need is two more
- 57:14Speaker 1: of them. We got to get involved here. You got
- 57:21Speaker 1: to say, these kids, this is not no time to
- 57:25Speaker 1: be Christian. We ain't got time for that. Listen to me,
- 57:31Speaker 1: them dog on kids. You don't know nothing. You just
- 57:36Speaker 1: said that talk ignorant at the church group. You just
- 57:40Speaker 1: said they ain't got good sense. Now they've been to
- 57:43Speaker 1: home school some kids, and you're sitting up in here,
- 57:46Speaker 1: you scared they're gonna send the kids off to schooling,
- 57:49Speaker 1: And now you're gonna they're gonna home school them and
- 57:51Speaker 1: turn them into little dummies. I can promise you it's
- 57:54Speaker 1: already too late. Them kids is already a product of
- 58:01Speaker 1: them two parents. If we don't get them babies in school,
- 58:07Speaker 1: we're gonna have two more them your church. It's fitting
- 58:12Speaker 1: to be a congregation full of little dummies all sitting
- 58:20Speaker 1: over that don't know nothing. You're sending the pin here
- 58:23Speaker 1: complaining about this lady on the thing. You know, I'll
- 58:28Speaker 1: tell you what you better do. You better have some
- 58:31Speaker 1: little ninjas dropping in at that home school educating them kids.
- 58:34Speaker 1: When the parans send them the recess or something. That's
- 58:37Speaker 1: your only chance, he said, ninjas. Yeah, they set up.
- 58:45Speaker 1: You said in your latter that the only problem is
- 58:47Speaker 1: that they're not book small and the wife is lacking
- 58:50Speaker 1: in comments, and damn so you don't know nothing in
- 58:53Speaker 1: books or life. What they fit to tell you? Two kids,
- 59:00Speaker 1: they both speak terribly and they subject and verb agreement
- 59:05Speaker 1: is always all Hold on, Steve, hold on, we'll have
- 59:08Speaker 1: part two of your response about this subject and verb
- 59:12Speaker 1: agreement is always all Well at part two of Steve's
- 59:16Speaker 1: response coming up at twenty three after the hours, subject
- 59:19Speaker 1: I need to help this poor child. We'll be back.
- 59:22Speaker 1: You're listening to all right, Steve. Let's recap today's strawberry letters.
- 59:28Speaker 1: Subject I need to help this poor child. Got These
- 59:33Speaker 1: are newly wired people at a church and a god
- 59:36Speaker 1: find and large hearts. The only problem is they not
- 59:41Speaker 1: book smart and wife is lacking in common sis Department two.
- 59:47Speaker 1: Both of them speak terribly, and their subject and verb
- 59:53Speaker 1: agreement is always all. Everybody having cause kids going back
- 59:58Speaker 1: to school. Everybody in the little church group celebrating septies
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: two day then told y'all they fit in the home
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: school day two kids. Everybody in the group got quiet
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: because they're trying to figure out HAIs E two ignorant
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: to ask people go home school? These two little poe
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: ass kids. That's what this letter is about. But let
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: me focus on the line here and Sureley, I'm gonna
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: need your help right here because I'm approved to you
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: why these parents need to send their children to school. Shirley. Yeah,
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: because the lady says they both speak terribly and their
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: subject and verb agreement is always off. What that means
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: is the subject and the verb that they use in
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: the same census never apply. So now surely you don't
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: know what they're talking about, but I do. So what
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: I want you to do, Shirley, so I can prove
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: my point. You need to get these kids ask up
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: at school. I'm gonna be the child of these little
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: ignorant ass pairs. Now I want you to ask me
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: any question on any subject. Ain't got to be pertaining
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: to a child or nothing. But I'm gonna show you
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: what it is to mean that your subject in verbe
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: don't agree, and gonna prove why they need to go
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: to school. First question, all right, what time do you
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: have to get up to go to school today? What?
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: What that is? Fault? What uh see? That means? Why
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: do I have to get up on time to go
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: to go? Ahead? What did you get for lunch today?
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: What do you have for lunch today? I eat mine?
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: I eat what I befitting the eat mine? Just pain?
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: Did you lay your clothes out to go to school tomorrow?
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: What you're gonna wear close me to wear it tomorrow. Okay,
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: you're proving your point. Don't come on any question, I don't.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: It ain't got to be school. Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: What's your favorite TV show? TV and media? Watching up
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: there for that thing? Did you see? Yes? Yes, yes,
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: let's give me why they need to be in school?
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: Come on, what's your first and last name? My last
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: name is photo photo? First one was over with to
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: get immediately talk, don't get any bis you better say
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: the damn baby. This ain't even funny. Go ahead, no,
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: it's it's it's definitely not funny. Um okay, so um
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: oh I know, I know. So what do you What
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: did you learn today when you went to church? I
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: for church and learned it that that lesson for them? What?

- 1:03:27Speaker 1: I learned it. I learned it that the cross was

- 1:04:40Speaker 1: that's usually how it goes. Yeah that ain't that? Ain't
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: for high go for my mom and my daddy. My
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: mom and my daddy told me school ain't that important.
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: I don't think they said that, did they. My mama
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: just got her ged and her cousin took the test
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: for her. See I looked at that positively. Or her
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: cousin took the chest for her. All right, Steve, you've proved,
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: you've proved your point. That's why you got to get

- 1:05:53Speaker 1: been married for only three years and my husband has
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: one flaw that irks me. Whenever we're out, I can
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: be in the middle of a conversation and he's staring
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: at a woman with a nice body walking by. He
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: also will smile and nod his head at a woman
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: if he gets her attention. He says he's from the
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: South and that's how men and women greet each other.
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: It really messes up my self esteem when he does it.
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: How can I get him to stop this? Well, I
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: mean I don't. I don't know how to tell you
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: get him to stop it. But let's talk about what
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: you just wrote in first, you said what irks me
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: is I could be in the middle of a conversation.
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: What is these conversations about, because obviously he ain't paying attention.
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: Oh okay, no, no, no, listen to me. I'm not no,
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: I'm not saying she's doing anything wrong. I want y'all
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: just state but you born ass conversations see chick Now
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: the other reason, and the real reason is the reason
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: he does it repeatedly, is be cause there are no
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: consequences for doing it. Yeah, all they do is irk you.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: You he has no consequences, and you be in eart.
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: Guess what he hadn't told you. I'm from the South.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: We gentlemen, we speaks to women. Okay, how you doing? Man? Yeah?
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: Is that the truth is that? The hell? No, I'm
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: telling you. That's what he hadn't told her. And if
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: you're enough to go with that, we from the South.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: Everybody on this show from the South. But we got wives. Man,
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: we go STU. That Marjorie walking out? Margie from South too,
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: that's the damn problem. Call her from the south. That's
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: the other damn problem. Sherlan Country ad from the South
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: because she really from Margins. Stop on the Chicago than
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: you ask what your people wasn't from Chicago? All the
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: people from Arkansas? Howe arsas? All right? Here we go
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: with another question. Uh this is from Sarah and uh
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: Harold Texas. She says, I am a forty four year
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: old woman dating a thirty six year old man, and
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: a woman called me recently and said she has been
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: having unprotected sex with my man. My man acted shocked
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: and said it's his crazy ex playing games. Needless to say,
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: we haven't had sex since I got the call. I
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: called his X and invited her over so we could talk.
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: But she swears she didn't call me. Should I keep
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: trying to get to the bottom of this mess or
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: tell this man to go find someone his age to
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: play with? You call somebody come trying to get to
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: the bottom of it, Steve Well, The lady said she
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: didn't have sex Woody, so she's just supposed to take
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: her word. All right, we gotta go. You're listening show.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: This is a roundtable discussion today is who told on
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: you back in the day that made you get the worse,
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: the absolute worse behind whooping you've ever got in your life.
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: Now here's the thing. Your mama could get the news,
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: and Junior and I talked about this. Your mama could
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: get the news. We had no internet, we didn't have
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: the phone, there was no texting. But by time any
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: Lee Brown got to that house off that buck, she
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: knew everything that went down. I don't know how you
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: know she knew it. I have no idea. She started
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: up like so um, what you're doing downtime of day?
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: Yeah you know I didn't know that. I ain't told nobody. No,
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: there was no social media. Right immediately, little rabbits, Little
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: rabbits punk this slew this your slew told Miss Pattis
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: that I was the one that put the fire crackers
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: in her tulips in her front yard and lit the
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: foe fried crackers and blew the damn tulips. Little rabbit
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: parks told well, Miss Pattison went cross street, told my MoMA, man,
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: I got my ass. How long was it't? How long
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: wasn't waiting? It felt like about fifteen minutes. I asked
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: the question, did you just did it? He did it? Yeah,
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: I knew you did it. What made you do that? Man?
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: She was hateful? Man, okay, man, like if our football
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: rolled in the yard that no, no, no, you can't.
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: You don't go on that grass. You go get the football,
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: take it in the house. Baseball going her, y'all, don't
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: go in my yard. I'll tell you mom and daddy
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: and should come down here and get the baseball and
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: roll it down the street. Now we got to hear
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: him get on and he just pride in her yard.
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: So I only could do faux I had time. Oh
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: my god. Yeah, my mom's ex boyfriend, my mom's boyfriend
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: at the time. She was dating this man, and he
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: was coming in to see us from the front yard.
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: And there was a phone booth not really far from
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: my house at the time, remember the old fend. My
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: cousin and I were in there playing on the phone
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: like we were talking. So he went in the house
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: and told my mom that we were in the phone
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: booth calling some boys. Yeah, and we're word all right.
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: The next thing I knew, I'm getting dragged out. That
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: was the first time I saw stars. I literally get
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: the crap out of me. Yeah. We weren't even doing that, boy,
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: I wasn't that not that time? All right, we gotta go, alright,
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: got so many you're listening, all right? So, guys, have
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: you ever eaten a meal that just brought you to tears?
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: It was so good? I mean, have you ever done that?
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: I'll tell you what's gotten close? What when we were
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: all in Paris, that baked potato with that loaded cavear
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: that Yeah, it had me so emotional, Yes it did,
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: all right, Okay, wait a minute, so good your tears?
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: It was good hold your tears, baby, all right, here
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: we go. So yeah, so, so some of us have
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: eaten a meal that has brought us to tears, or
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: at least come close to bringing us to tears. Or
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: maybe who knows, it was the bill at the end
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: of the meal that made you cry. Well anyway, there
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: was this elderly man in China. He's been diagnosed with
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: an extremely rare condition. It's known as crocodile tears syndrome.
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: I'm like, is this for real? You got this? Yeah? Us,
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: you got it to a turn. I didn't. I bet
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: my mama oxtails and it just happened. It causes him
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: to cry every time he eats, and it's ruining his
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: social life. Doctors reported that his nerve fibers are misdirected
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: and they interfere with his uh salivary glands, so when
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: he smells or tastes food, it makes him cry. And
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: very funny. You know, it's not nasty to drink keep doing.
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: I can't just eat like this. I'm just going on that.
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: We'll be back with more of the Steave Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: You're listening to Morning show, It is time for a
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: round of would you rather out the gate. You want
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: to pick it blindly, Na, that don't work out for us.
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: I love it, it hasn't for me, that's for sure.
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: All Right. Would you rather work and you're cleaning up
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: toxic waste or would you rather work as a mortician's assistant? Yeah,
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: I'm gonna clean up the toxic words. Yeah, I'm not
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: gonna do really, people, No, I'm going down that damn
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: for you know, I'm not in that waste. I'm not
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: in that waste. I'm sorry. You know, toxic waste about
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: toxics material they're not talking about like sugar, honey, iced tea,
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: not that. Because I have toxic waste myself. Are you
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: familiar with him? I'm good with that. I'm accustomed to
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: that deal with toxic where he said time, I'm not
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: gonna win there. I know I know them here well,
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: mine toxic. Yeah, so I'm not even gonna I'm not.
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: That's not a fear of mine. I'm just assisting the
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: mortician though. Right now, I'm not just cutting vacuum in
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: and out, nobody sucking out no guts. I'm nothing to
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: do nothing out doing that. No, I'm just gonna blew
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: your eyes shut. Putting no lipstick on your money to
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: do that though, though man clothes or nothing, no, same,
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: the same outfit he died in. I'm gonna be the
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: worst mortician. I'm not doing all that. He looks he
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: looks so swollen. Yeah, how the body man? Yeah, he
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: looked decomposed. Yeah, that's how they boughty man in his
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: hand he still, That's how they bought all this mud
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: under his finger nails. That's how they bought him in.
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: Did you even close his eyes that he was? Aye,
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: was open when they bought him in. We're not doing
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: all that. I'm not a funeral looking at us. None
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: of that, y'all closed casket. I told you the same
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: which he was eating up. Go eat his hands, Go
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: be a you're crazy all right when I bought him
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: that sweatshirt and thank you? Great a one more we
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: can get to it quickly. Would you rather get struck
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: by lightning or picked up by a tornado? We know
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: what your answer is, Tommy, struck by lightning or picked
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: up by a tornado? Oh far tornado taking? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: I don't know what that's gonna be. But I'll tell
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: you what when you get hit by that lightning you
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: usually don't be right when you come to all right,
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: today's round. Would rather you're listening to all right. Here
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: we are our last break of the day. It's been
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: a good day. It's been Yeah, it's been a really
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: good day. We got through it has some fun um
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: and now yeah hump day. That used to be Steve's
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: favorite commercial right there, that camel. All right, Steve, it's
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: time for you to take us home with some of
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: your closing remarks as always, uh, you know, as as
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: I've decided to do a lot uh since I came
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: off my vacation, wants to just try to share with
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: you all a lot of things that I learned spiritually
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: over my vacation. I said, this is one of the
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: most spiritual awakenings I've had ever, and I really learned
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: a lot spiritually, and I just wanted to share it
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: with y'all because it's so many people out there who
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: love God. There's so many people out there who know God,
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: and there's a lot of people out there that's trying
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: to figure out where God at. It's some people out
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: there thinking God that forgot about them, and you know,
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: I just want to tell you something that that's not true,
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: God ain't forgot about you. Somebody said, one time, I
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: keep praying for something that don't happen. Well, wait a minute,
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: wait a minute. Did it not happen the way you
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: wanted it? Or it's not happening because usually it comes
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: out to be not the way you want it. But
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: if you look closely closely, something is in the process
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: of being worked out. We just get impatient with the process.
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: How many times have I done that wanted something from
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: God my way with and I was so focused on
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: it happening my way that I didn't look around and
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: realize He's actually operating and working something out. And if
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: I would just look closely and show a little bit
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: more gratitude instead of complaining about what I don't have
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: my way, find out that his way is probably better
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: than the one you got. Because see me, let me
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: tell you what loses a lot of people. You know,
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: when when things going really really good in your life
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: and you feel like you bless then you just feel
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: like God is smiling on you. But then life happens
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: you run into some rough patches on this journey. You
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: have to understand that when you hit rough patches in
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: your life that God still smiling on you. It's just
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: that sometimes allowing these adversities that come into your life,
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: sometime some of your verse adverse cities are a loud
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: because it pulls you closer to God. Some of us
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: need adversity to get closer to God. Some of us
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: don't understand that the adversities that we're facing in our
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: life sometimes they just they seem they're covered in a mystery.
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: But God, everything that happens to you. If you love
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: God like so many of you do, if you want
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: a relationship with God like so many of you do,
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: it ends up working out for you one way or
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: the other. You know, you might be asking God to save,
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: make this man do right. Well, guess what if the
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: man is not right for you, why would God make
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: him do right? And he ain't the one for you? Sometimes, man,
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: you gotta go through some adversity because it pushes you
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: closer to God. It's like the other day I was
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: talking about people get mad at people because they go
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: to jail and they find Christ whoa hold, love, partner, partner,
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: keyword found Christ? What difference will make how they found him?
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: It's not you can decide how God has found I
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: found God. I get sad to say this, but it's true.
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: I gets pushed close to to God when I get
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: in the most trouble. Sad to say, but that's what's happened.
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: I'm just now learning to stay close to Him in
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: the good times, so when the bad times come, I
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: ain't that far away. I had to make that decision myself.
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: So when you see God in the good times, you
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: also got to see God's face in the hard times.
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: Because this tool show pass you're just going through a process.
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: Everybody's life has to have adversity in it so you
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: can appreciate the good times. You got to have adversity
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: because it makes you draw closer to God. You gotta
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: have adverse because you need to become experienced at what
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: it is you're going through. So when it happens to
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: you again, you know how to handle it better because
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: it's called life is just gonna keep happening. I see
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: a lot of times, man, people they look at things
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: so wrong. You know, people get in their life, they
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: get real busy bustling around and they're trying to accomplish
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: things through your own strength and your own ability. Well,
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: let me tell you something about when you accomplish something
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: through your own strength and ability. Sometimes you succeed rather
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: well and other times you fail. But you don't want
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: to miss what life is really about, and that's having
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: a collaboration with God. Man. You want to have a
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: relationship with God, so you don't get so full of yourself,
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: like all your blessings is because of something you did.
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: You ain't did nothing. Oh you might have worked hard,
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: but you can't make blessings come your way. Do you
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: know if you had the ability didn't do this, you
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: know what your life would look like. And quit looking
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: at other people and talking about Man, God on he's
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: doing something for them. Man, I don't get this, and
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: I sometimes I wanted this and I get this. It's
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: called favor. Favor ain't fair. Favor is not giving out,
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: say favors giving it out just because God is good.
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: We have all benefited from favor. We've all received favor
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: we had no business getting. That's what grace and favor is. Man,
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: y'all come home. So I'm just trying to get y'all
