- 1:47Speaker 2: money up.
- 1:49Speaker 5: Look me, come.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Come on, you think.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Uhhah, I sure will.
- 2:04Speaker 6: Good morning everybody, y'all listening to the voice, Come on
- 2:07Speaker 6: dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:11Speaker 6: radio show. Hell Man back in business too, Man, Man,
- 2:17Speaker 6: How good is God? I mean, really, if you think
- 2:19Speaker 6: about it in spite of all that's going down in
- 2:21Speaker 6: your life. First of all, it could be worse. But secondly,
- 2:25Speaker 6: sometimes you have to remember. And I've just had to
- 2:28Speaker 6: have this conversation with myself this morning. That's how I'm
- 2:32Speaker 6: fresh on this one right here. When a challenge faces you,
- 2:37Speaker 6: are you going through a difficult moment, or you didn't
- 2:40Speaker 6: hit a bump in the road in the middle of that,
- 2:43Speaker 6: if you could manage to be grateful, it would take
- 2:46Speaker 6: you a long way. Gratitude is a powerful resource. If
- 2:51Speaker 6: you can be grateful in the middle of it. Gratitude
- 2:55Speaker 6: is a powerful resource when it's dim for you. And
- 3:00Speaker 6: then got a little bumpy on the road, and he
- 3:03Speaker 6: ran into some obstacles, and you done ran up into
- 3:05Speaker 6: some detailed signs, and your journey ain't smooth as it
- 3:10Speaker 6: was last week or last year. You gotta be grateful
- 3:15Speaker 6: for the things that are going right and that have
- 3:19Speaker 6: gone right, and for the thing that's wrong right now
- 3:22Speaker 6: to get right?
- 3:23Speaker 2: Man? Can I share that with you? Man? Is that
- 3:26Speaker 2: a tough one to learn? It is for me.
- 3:29Speaker 6: It has been one of my toughest challenges is to
- 3:33Speaker 6: learn how to be grateful because it's a powerful resource,
- 3:37Speaker 6: but how to be grateful in moments of despair when
- 3:40Speaker 6: it ain't going right. See here's a mistake I would make.
- 3:44Speaker 6: See when something go wrong, I want to focus on
- 3:46Speaker 6: the wrong so much in an attempt to fix it.
- 3:50Speaker 6: But even then the focus ain't always in to fix it.
- 3:55Speaker 6: The focus becomes, Man, this is bad, man, I can't
- 3:59Speaker 6: believe this is happening. Why this keep going down? That
- 4:03Speaker 6: doesn't fix anything? You know, mealing over it, going over
- 4:08Speaker 6: what's wrong, explaining it, sharing it with your friends, you know,
- 4:14Speaker 6: making it sound worse than it is. Tell the story
- 4:18Speaker 6: for pity from other people. All of that right there,
- 4:21Speaker 6: has nothing to do with the fix. Sometimes you're just
- 4:24Speaker 6: mulling over it. You're just making it worse. You're just
- 4:27Speaker 6: making it a bigger problem. You're manifesting it into your atmosphere,
- 4:31Speaker 6: You're putting it out there in your spirit. Now, all
- 4:34Speaker 6: of a sudden, it consumes your day. Next thing, you know,
- 4:36Speaker 6: you're having a bad day. If you're having a bad day,
- 4:39Speaker 6: it's because you've been having some bad thoughts. So what
- 4:43Speaker 6: I've had to learn how to do, and what I'm
- 4:45Speaker 6: working on this morning is I'm working on the situation
- 4:49Speaker 6: that then cropped up. I was going kind of smooth
- 4:51Speaker 6: here for a minute, and now then got real bumpy
- 4:54Speaker 6: in the road, you know, and all this here. So
- 4:56Speaker 6: what I'm thinking about now, though, is even though I've
- 4:59Speaker 6: hit a bump the road, and even though I done
- 5:02Speaker 6: ran into a detour, and even though I've hit this lull,
- 5:07Speaker 6: I'm going down into a valley, I ain't.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Up on the peak.
- 5:11Speaker 6: Can I not still be grateful for all the things
- 5:14Speaker 6: that God has given me, for all the things He's
- 5:18Speaker 6: done for me, for all the things He's brought me through,
- 5:21Speaker 6: And realizing that even this that's happening to me again
- 5:26Speaker 6: is going to pass to He gonna get me through
- 5:28Speaker 6: that attitude. Come on, man, God is a good god.
- 5:31Speaker 2: Man.
- 5:32Speaker 6: It's a lot to be grateful for. So while I'm
- 5:34Speaker 6: tripping on this bumping the road out and here, what
- 5:36Speaker 6: I got to remember is all the things He's done
- 5:38Speaker 6: for me. And like I say, my saying is joint
- 5:42Speaker 6: depression cannot reside in the same place. So instead of
- 5:45Speaker 6: being down about this new bumping the road, if I'm
- 5:48Speaker 6: constantly filling my mind with the thoughts of how good
- 5:51Speaker 6: He's been to me, of what all he's done for me,
- 5:54Speaker 6: of all the things he's brought me through, of all
- 5:57Speaker 6: the blessings he's presented me with, when I go to
- 6:00Speaker 6: on that list, I really don't have a lot of
- 6:02Speaker 6: time to mull over the situation.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Now. Do I have to fix this bump in the row?
- 6:10Speaker 2: Of course I do.
- 6:11Speaker 6: Are There's some things I'm going to have to do
- 6:13Speaker 6: to straighten it out, of course it is. But Steve
- 6:17Speaker 6: just going to get the business of doing it and
- 6:19Speaker 6: straighten it out. What you mulling over and worrying about
- 6:21Speaker 6: it for you know, old people. I heard old people
- 6:24Speaker 6: say something. When I was growing up in the church,
- 6:26Speaker 6: they say, if you're gonna pray about it, don't worry
- 6:28Speaker 6: about it. But if you're gonna worry about it, don't
- 6:30Speaker 6: pray about it. That's an amazing thing. And prayer just
- 6:35Speaker 6: happens to be my weapon of choice. Now, it ain't
- 6:38Speaker 6: always been that way. I want you to understand that
- 6:40Speaker 6: my first weapon of choice was you do it to me,
- 6:43Speaker 6: I do it to you. You called me out, I
- 6:45Speaker 6: call you out. You say something bad about me. I've
- 6:48Speaker 6: tried to find you say something bad about you. That
- 6:51Speaker 6: was my weapon in the past. How did that work
- 6:54Speaker 6: out for you, Steve?
- 6:55Speaker 2: Not so good?
- 6:57Speaker 6: Because you know what, I spent a lot of time
- 7:00Speaker 6: fighting back, kicking back, swinging back, when I could have
- 7:04Speaker 6: spent all that time climbing. See, all you trying to
- 7:08Speaker 6: do at the end of the day, folks, is have
- 7:10Speaker 6: a better life than the one you got. All you
- 7:12Speaker 6: trying to do is to improve your position in life.
- 7:15Speaker 6: You know, it's not my business to make sure you
- 7:18Speaker 6: don't get where you going. I ain't got no time
- 7:20Speaker 6: for that. It's not my job to assure that you
- 7:24Speaker 6: ain't as high as me. I ain't got no time
- 7:27Speaker 6: for that your real mission and purpose is to have
- 7:30Speaker 6: the best life that you can have, to ascend to
- 7:33Speaker 6: the highest plateau that you can get to, to make
- 7:37Speaker 6: your family as comfortable as you can, to provide as
- 7:40Speaker 6: much as you can for your family. But legally, see,
- 7:44Speaker 6: those of us are sitting up here trying to come
- 7:46Speaker 6: up with sideways. You can ask a couple million men
- 7:49Speaker 6: sitting in prison today how they wish they hadn't done that,
- 7:52Speaker 6: and they'll tell you, Oh, man, I wish I never
- 7:55Speaker 6: had did it.
- 7:56Speaker 2: I knew not to go down there. Something told me
- 7:59Speaker 2: not to go down there. Man.
- 8:01Speaker 6: If I could change things, I would. But they sitting
- 8:04Speaker 6: somewhere doing some time that had they made another decision
- 8:08Speaker 6: they wouldn't have to do now. That don't make them
- 8:10Speaker 6: throw away people, nah, man, Because everybody make mistakes, and
- 8:14Speaker 6: God is in a forgiving business. And some of us
- 8:17Speaker 6: have done some things that really broke the law, and
- 8:20Speaker 6: a whole lot of other things and deserve to do
- 8:23Speaker 6: some time.
- 8:23Speaker 2: But through the grace of God, we didn't.
- 8:25Speaker 6: But now we sit up here we pass judgment on
- 8:27Speaker 6: people who got to do some Man, I don't care,
- 8:29Speaker 6: I don't care what you've done. God can forgive anything
- 8:33Speaker 6: but our position, our motivation in life is to try
- 8:37Speaker 6: to have the best life we can have and provide
- 8:39Speaker 6: for those around us and make it comfortable. If that's
- 8:42Speaker 6: your ambition, you don't have time to worry about or
- 8:46Speaker 6: concern yourself with another person. And I wasted time doing that,
- 8:52Speaker 6: and that's not the way to get it done. It's
- 8:54Speaker 6: simply mine to your business. Taking care of you and
- 8:57Speaker 6: getting yourself right and tight is to tent four seven.
- 9:00Speaker 6: So that's a full time job. So what I had
- 9:03Speaker 6: to learn was and what I've the reason I've chosen
- 9:06Speaker 6: prayers as my weapon of choice now is that now
- 9:11Speaker 6: prayer helps me that I don't have to fight back. Now,
- 9:15Speaker 6: if I get cornered, I'm gonna fight you. I ain't
- 9:18Speaker 6: even gonna lie to you. And now I'm still working
- 9:21Speaker 6: on some things that trigger me. You know, you know,
- 9:25Speaker 6: you know, and and and and so I'm I'm I'm
- 9:28Speaker 6: slowly getting better at that. But I've learned that my
- 9:32Speaker 6: weapon of choice is prayer now. So when it happens
- 9:37Speaker 6: ugly for me, I pray about it. When it gets
- 9:40Speaker 6: tight and dismal for me, I pray about it. And
- 9:44Speaker 6: the thing about prayer man is Prayer changes things.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Yes, it does. Now read about it and try it.
- 9:53Speaker 2: That's the deal.
- 9:54Speaker 6: Okay, come on, prayer is a wonderful weapon. Show ladies
- 10:03Speaker 6: and gentlemen, let me have your divided attention.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Please.
- 10:05Speaker 6: This at the beginning of a new day. This is
- 10:07Speaker 6: the start of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Let us

- 10:15Speaker 2: What's up?
- 10:16Speaker 3: Charlie?
- 10:17Speaker 7: Hey?
- 10:17Speaker 3: What's up?
- 10:18Speaker 2: Steve?
- 10:19Speaker 1: Col what's going on?
- 10:21Speaker 2: Steve Hey?
- 10:22Speaker 5: Cruise Junio?
- 10:24Speaker 2: They don't.
- 10:27Speaker 8: Going on the porch?
- 10:30Speaker 5: Doggie done.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Like you're on the porch and we're passing by, and.
- 10:42Speaker 6: Drive up third, drive a third boy. Oh you act
- 10:52Speaker 6: like you don't know no about it? Oh wait, you
- 10:55Speaker 6: look cute there, girl. I don't want a holiday. And again, Bobby,
- 11:03Speaker 6: if you take holding down, I love it. If you
- 11:13Speaker 6: think you know, I think I'll go down stoke.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Give me a watermelon.
- 11:18Speaker 1: That's what you got to say.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Let me when you all got to tell you the watermelon?
- 11:21Speaker 2: When you thump a watermelon, what you're listening for? No,
- 11:24Speaker 2: I don't think bottlemelon. Well, I know how to pick watermelons.
- 11:27Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 11:28Speaker 2: I thought you're supposed to thump No dog, what you're
- 11:30Speaker 2: gonna tell you about the thumb.
- 11:31Speaker 6: This is how you pick a sweet watermelon. What is
- 11:34Speaker 6: stem comes out the bottom? Boy, it has its stem
- 11:37Speaker 6: on it or what it still used to be. If
- 11:40Speaker 6: you see a lot of you know those veins, Yeah,
- 11:44Speaker 6: a little veins on the outside.
- 11:47Speaker 2: That's sugar content. So that means it's a sweet that's right,
- 11:54Speaker 2: that's right. Now.
- 11:56Speaker 6: You can pick a sweet one that don't have it
- 11:58Speaker 6: because like them, dark green eas don't oftentimes show a
- 12:01Speaker 6: lot of veins. But when you pick them light green
- 12:04Speaker 6: with them long ones, huh yeah, you said, huh, got
- 12:09Speaker 6: that right now? When it got a lot of brown
- 12:12Speaker 6: veins coming around off that stalk, that stem, that sugar content, Oh.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Boy, now they got they thump them down south. I
- 12:22Speaker 2: didn't well, you know, you don't. You don't know how
- 12:25Speaker 2: to do that because you don't buy nothing of them.
- 12:28Speaker 6: You don't grow them. If you grow watermelons, you could thump.
- 12:31Speaker 6: But you don't know what you're even look at?
- 12:32Speaker 4: What?
- 12:32Speaker 2: Okay, when the thought what you're looking for?
- 12:35Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 12:35Speaker 2: I don't know what I'm listening. So now you just thumping?
- 12:39Speaker 2: You didn't take this ragged ass watermelon right onto.
- 12:42Speaker 1: The house, and are we are we doing seeds or seedless?
- 12:46Speaker 1: Because I like seeds.
- 12:48Speaker 6: No, see, there's no watermelon that don't have seeds in
- 12:52Speaker 6: all watermelon got seed.
- 12:54Speaker 1: But but yeah, but you know they have seedless watermelons.

- 13:05Speaker 1: but that then, but.
- 13:07Speaker 6: That ain't the real real watermelons have seeds. Oh that's

- 17:18Speaker 8: right now is we don't see.
- 17:20Speaker 3: Your car, you know, and you don't see it. What
- 17:23Speaker 3: do you what? I'm sorry?
- 17:24Speaker 8: What? Well, I'm okay, okay, okay.
- 17:27Speaker 11: Ho wow, all right, so my car is gone?
- 17:30Speaker 9: My car is gone?
- 17:31Speaker 3: Is that what you told me?
- 17:32Speaker 8: Right now?
- 17:32Speaker 10: Somebody's company and work my car?

- 21:12Speaker 1: It says, in regards to your life Strawberry letter with
- 21:15Speaker 1: the cheating Man, I have a similar situation. I had
- 21:19Speaker 1: an affair on my husband and the first time I cheated,
- 21:22Speaker 1: I got pregnant. I couldn't let my husband raise another
- 21:25Speaker 1: man's child without knowing it, so I had a DNA
- 21:28Speaker 1: test and confessed. My husband chose to stay in the
- 21:32Speaker 1: marriage and raise the child as his own, but whenever
- 21:36Speaker 1: the spirit hits him, he calls me names and makes
- 21:39Speaker 1: my life miserable. In this case, is divorce a better
- 21:43Speaker 1: choice or are his actions justified?
- 21:47Speaker 2: Whoa ummano?
- 21:49Speaker 3: You know?
- 21:52Speaker 2: Let me do like women should all do.
- 21:55Speaker 6: If there was shoe was on the other foot and
- 21:59Speaker 6: your husband went outside the marriage and had another baby,
- 22:03Speaker 6: and you decided to stay, would you not call him
- 22:09Speaker 6: a bunch of names whenever the spirit hit How about
- 22:13Speaker 6: every birthday? That's all the Christmas money? When that child
- 22:17Speaker 6: support going out the door. I think it's a heck
- 22:21Speaker 6: of a man to stay and raise it as his own.
- 22:24Speaker 6: And and then he spared you the shame of it.
- 22:29Speaker 6: But I mean, well, you're gonna throw it in the face.
- 22:32Speaker 6: See the thing about saying I'm sorry is it? That
- 22:36Speaker 6: don't fix it? He may eventually stop doing it. But
- 22:41Speaker 6: if you can't take it, then you want to get
- 22:43Speaker 6: a divorce.
- 22:44Speaker 2: That's on you. But what did do that?
- 22:47Speaker 6: They gave you the baby at in the first but
- 22:49Speaker 6: where he at, she didn't Well I don't see him
- 22:53Speaker 6: raising his hand volunteer. And I ain't saying stay and
- 22:57Speaker 6: take any form of abuse. That's not what I say,
- 23:00Speaker 6: because that's not right at any level, you know, but
- 23:06Speaker 6: he gonna he's gonna throw it up in your face
- 23:08Speaker 6: every night, and and I don't know how that works.
- 23:10Speaker 6: He's I'm not really sure I could do that, So
- 23:14Speaker 6: I don't think I'm the perfect person.
- 23:16Speaker 5: Yeah, I think once you do it, you gotta gotta
- 23:18Speaker 5: gotta accept it.
- 23:20Speaker 7: But you can't keep throwing it back out if you
- 23:21Speaker 7: decide you're going I sound real good, right, I mean
- 23:24Speaker 7: that sounds good exactly.
- 23:26Speaker 1: But right if you're gonna say you're gonna accept the
- 23:28Speaker 1: baby and raise him as your own. But but so
- 23:32Speaker 1: much of the time, I don't know. I don't know
- 23:34Speaker 1: if I could take that. That's tough because you're only human.
- 23:37Speaker 1: So it's gonna be some moments. Yeah, absolutely, absolutely, all right,
- 23:42Speaker 1: We're moving on Joseph and the Bronx CLO says, my
- 23:45Speaker 1: boss and I have the same birthday, so we went

- 24:02Speaker 1: My boss's husband was waiting for us as we walked

- 24:33Speaker 2: I don't care.
- 24:34Speaker 6: She got a husband. She invited him, he didn't go.
- 24:39Speaker 6: He probably walked up to the door, saw y'all sitting
- 24:41Speaker 6: over there by yourself, and decided not to go in
- 24:44Speaker 6: because he gonna handle it outside.
- 24:47Speaker 2: So now it wasn't nobody. So now he'd have told
- 24:50Speaker 2: you what you want me to do?
- 24:52Speaker 6: Hey, look, apologize, send a man a letter, Tell him
- 24:56Speaker 6: you didn't mean no harm. It won't happen again, and

- 25:17Speaker 6: environment for you. You felt obligated to go because it
- 25:21Speaker 6: was your boss had you go to celebrate the birthday.
- 25:24Speaker 6: You didn't want to say no because you didn't want
- 25:26Speaker 6: to affect your job. Now you feel like it's a
- 25:28Speaker 6: hostile environment because her damn.

- 25:57Speaker 6: record that I had to apologize.
- 25:59Speaker 1: To him because he's not his boss, all right, and
- 26:07Speaker 1: he can't fight back because his wife is his boss.

- 51:28Speaker 1: me for a business card. Before I left, he left
- 51:31Speaker 1: a message on my office phone and invited me to
- 51:33Speaker 1: dinner the next night. I knew he was a bit
- 51:36Speaker 1: younger than I am, but I was flattered and went
- 51:39Speaker 1: on a date with him. We have so much in
- 51:42Speaker 1: common it's hard to believe he's only twenty five. After
- 51:47Speaker 1: that date, we've been inseparable, and I've had a hard
- 51:50Speaker 1: time hiding him from my daughter and my family. I've
- 51:54Speaker 1: taken him on several business trips with me, and he
- 51:56Speaker 1: looks great in all of the suits and nice shoes
- 51:59Speaker 1: i've him. I've taught him etiquette and how to appreciate
- 52:03Speaker 1: the finer things. We took a cooking class and he
- 52:07Speaker 1: knows how to hand roll sushi for me. I showed
- 52:10Speaker 1: him the art of making love to a real woman,
- 52:13Speaker 1: and he mastered it. He's basically the perfect man for me,
- 52:17Speaker 1: but the age difference will be a problem in the
- 52:20Speaker 1: long run. I know my family and friends will judge
- 52:23Speaker 1: me because he's two years younger than my daughter. He
- 52:26Speaker 1: wants to get married so we can live together, and
- 52:29Speaker 1: he wants me to meet his mother and grandmother. You
- 52:32Speaker 1: know this isn't going to go over well with them.
- 52:35Speaker 1: Men have always met and married younger women, but it's
- 52:39Speaker 1: not as accepted when women do it. I would hope
- 52:42Speaker 1: that I'm everything this man needs and he won't want
- 52:45Speaker 1: a younger woman someday. Can this work? Or have I
- 52:48Speaker 1: wasted all of my training on the wrong man? Okay,
- 52:53Speaker 1: so do you have a training thing going on here?
- 52:58Speaker 1: Sounds like sounds like you're a sugar mama because you're
- 53:02Speaker 1: buying him so much stuff. Okay, you know you have
- 53:07Speaker 1: a lot to be concerned about in this relationship. You're
- 53:11Speaker 1: a mother and a granddaughter and this guy is just
- 53:14Speaker 1: two years younger than your daughter. I mean, we talk
- 53:17Speaker 1: about this a lot on the show The Double Standard.
- 53:19Speaker 1: There are things that women can do that men can't
- 53:23Speaker 1: or don't or won't do, and there are things that
- 53:26Speaker 1: men can do that women can't or don't do you
- 53:29Speaker 1: said it in a letter. Men have always met and
- 53:31Speaker 1: married younger, but it's not as accepted when women do it.
- 53:36Speaker 1: And mainly that's because women have a biological clock inside
- 53:41Speaker 1: of them where we have to do things like have
- 53:43Speaker 1: children at a certain age. And the facts are that
- 53:47Speaker 1: you are twice this young man's age, which means you
- 53:50Speaker 1: have way more life experience than him. You came in
- 53:54Speaker 1: as the trainer. He's a trainee, which means you have
- 53:58Speaker 1: way more experience than him. You're buying him suits as
- 54:02Speaker 1: I mentioned, and shoes and stuff. You also have to
- 54:04Speaker 1: think that you know he might want kids of his own,
- 54:09Speaker 1: and that's where you have to think about your biological
- 54:11Speaker 1: clock and the time you know he might want kids
- 54:13Speaker 1: at some point as far as the love goes, of course,
- 54:16Speaker 1: we all know the heart wants what it wants. It
- 54:19Speaker 1: doesn't care about age or race, or religion or anything
- 54:22Speaker 1: like that. But you, as the older, more experienced person,
- 54:26Speaker 1: you have to let your thinking get involved here in
- 54:29Speaker 1: your head. You have to think about these things. If
- 54:33Speaker 1: he wants kids in the future and what the future
- 54:35Speaker 1: might hold. Yeah, he will probably look at younger women.
- 54:40Speaker 1: You guys, you're twice his age. Okay, I don't know
- 54:44Speaker 1: if you'll be able to live with that or not
- 54:46Speaker 1: as you get older. I mean, I'm sure you're beautiful
- 54:49Speaker 1: right now. I'm sure you are, but you know you
- 54:52Speaker 1: got to think about that, that twenty five year old
- 54:54Speaker 1: age difference. I don't think that's going to work. And
- 55:00Speaker 1: if you can live with all of that stuff, then
- 55:03Speaker 1: go for it. I don't think you should. I wouldn't
- 55:05Speaker 1: do it. This has nothing to do with your your
- 55:08Speaker 1: what your family or your friends say, or anything like that.
- 55:11Speaker 1: It's not their business. This is a decision that you
- 55:14Speaker 1: have to make, and I think, as the adult in
- 55:16Speaker 1: this situation, you know don't. I wouldn't do it.
- 55:21Speaker 2: I'll put it like that, Steve, you already know. You
- 55:27Speaker 2: already know.
- 55:28Speaker 6: So you want Steve to give it to your trade
- 55:29Speaker 6: because you know you're gonna give it to your trade.
- 55:31Speaker 6: Charley gave it to you, Chrey gave it to you, Bud.
- 55:35Speaker 6: Since you want to hear from Steve, here we go.
- 55:37Speaker 6: I'm gonna point out some things Shirley pointed out, and
- 55:39Speaker 6: point out some stuff Shirley didn't point out. You're a
- 55:42Speaker 6: corporate trainer. You're forty nine years old. You have one
- 55:46Speaker 6: daughter and a granddaughter forty nine. Let's just round it off.
- 55:50Speaker 6: Say you're fifty. Women don't like to round it off up,
- 55:54Speaker 6: so let me just go and get to it. Because
- 55:56Speaker 6: your boss to be fifty. Any damn way, I'd have
- 56:00Speaker 6: had a birthday by the time we read. Just let
- 56:02Speaker 6: on the air anyway, So let's just say you're fifty. Wow,
- 56:07Speaker 6: Now let's go. You got a daughter that's twenty seven,
- 56:12Speaker 6: and you got a granddaughter.
- 56:14Speaker 1: You train people.
- 56:16Speaker 6: That's your calling in life. You train people. So you
- 56:23Speaker 6: go to this agency, you training some people. Dude, got
- 56:26Speaker 6: your attention to ask for a card, left the message
- 56:29Speaker 6: invited you to dinner next night.
- 56:32Speaker 2: You know, I knew he was a big younger than
- 56:33Speaker 2: I am, but I.
- 56:34Speaker 6: Was flatted because you bought you divorced. You've been singaphore
- 56:39Speaker 6: while you're bought you. Figure, Hey, you've been on this session.
- 56:42Speaker 6: Let me going out to dinner with him. We have
- 56:45Speaker 6: so much in common. What the hell you got in
- 56:48Speaker 6: common with a boy that's twenty five years the young
- 56:52Speaker 6: man who's twenty five years younger than you. What y'all
- 56:56Speaker 6: both like to eat? You don't play video games, you
- 57:00Speaker 6: ain't into sport. He liked black dresses. You had on
- 57:04Speaker 6: the black dress.
- 57:06Speaker 2: That ain't nothing in common.
- 57:08Speaker 1: Hang on, Steve, Hang on, all right, we'll be back
- 57:12Speaker 1: with part two of Steve's response coming up at twenty
- 57:16Speaker 1: three minutes after the hour. Title of today's letter, I
- 57:19Speaker 1: taught the young man everything he knows. We'll get back
- 57:23Speaker 1: into it right after this. You're listening Steve Hardy Morning Show.
- 57:28Speaker 1: All right, Steve, come on, let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 57:32Speaker 1: I taught the young man everything he knows.
- 57:35Speaker 6: Well, you will teach you a trainer. You're forty nine
- 57:37Speaker 6: years old. You go out on this insurance thing to
- 57:40Speaker 6: train a group of people. Young dude catches eye. I
- 57:42Speaker 6: ask you for a business card, invites you to dinner.
- 57:44Speaker 6: You flat it because he said your age.
- 57:47Speaker 2: You go out with him.
- 57:48Speaker 6: He's much younger than you. But you sit there and
- 57:50Speaker 6: all of a sudden, y'all got everything in common. No,
- 57:52Speaker 6: you don't know, you don't, and I'll prove it to
- 57:56Speaker 6: you in the letter. Lady, you have so much of coming,
- 58:00Speaker 6: like the same music, and y'all don't go to the
- 58:02Speaker 6: same places. Y'all ain't had the same life in y'all
- 58:07Speaker 6: ain't had the same life experiences. You can make children,
- 58:10Speaker 6: he can't. You got kids, he don't. He played video games,
- 58:16Speaker 6: you don't. He got a family, He ain't got no family.
- 58:21Speaker 6: You do what y'all got in coming? And I sure
- 58:24Speaker 6: would like to know what it is y'all got in coming?
- 58:28Speaker 6: Or what did you sit there and fabricate in your
- 58:31Speaker 6: mind that made it so good? Well, let me tell
- 58:33Speaker 6: you what what after that date? We've been inseparable so
- 58:37Speaker 6: much for in coming. I've had a hard time hiding
- 58:39Speaker 6: him from my daughter and my family.
- 58:41Speaker 2: Listen to me. I've taken him on.
- 58:43Speaker 6: Several business trips with me, and he looks great in
- 58:46Speaker 6: all of the suits and nice shoes I bought him.
- 58:49Speaker 2: You know why, because he was wearing snickers and T shirts.
- 58:56Speaker 6: You had to buy him them shoes and them suits
- 58:59Speaker 6: cause you couldn't make his.
- 59:00Speaker 2: T shirt wearing ass no. Well with you, I thought
- 59:04Speaker 2: y'all had a lot in common. He don't know how
- 59:08Speaker 2: to dress.
- 59:08Speaker 6: You taught him to, Yo letter, I talked to this
- 59:10Speaker 6: young man everything he knows. He ain't know nothing. You
- 59:14Speaker 6: taught him everything. He didn't know nothing. You taught him everything,
- 59:18Speaker 6: and you got a lot in common. What he didn't
- 59:22Speaker 6: know how to hand roll sushi when you met him.
- 59:26Speaker 6: Now you got him hand rolling sushi. Let me tell
- 59:29Speaker 6: you something. I went in the sushi restaurant in Atlanta
- 59:32Speaker 6: one night. And this is years ago, years ago, Kings
- 59:35Speaker 6: of comedy, years and it was two black guys behind
- 59:38Speaker 6: the counter at the sushi place. I turned around, walked
- 59:41Speaker 6: right out the two black dudle say, Steve, come on here, man,
- 59:44Speaker 6: the sushi good? I said, y'all know good? Hell, well,
- 59:48Speaker 6: y'all don't know nothing about cutting no damn sushi.
- 59:54Speaker 2: That is not our job. If you back fish, I
- 59:58Speaker 2: sit down. But you slicing raw fish?
- 1:00:02Speaker 8: Boy?
- 1:00:03Speaker 6: Stop, Now, you'd have got him to hand roll sushi
- 1:00:08Speaker 6: for you. I showed him the art of making love
- 1:00:10Speaker 6: to a real woman, and he mastered it. He okay,
- 1:00:14Speaker 6: you can say he mastered it. He didne got better
- 1:00:17Speaker 6: at it. You can't get worse at sex.
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: You can just get better at it. So he's teachable.
- 1:00:25Speaker 6: He's basically the perfect man for me, except you can't
- 1:00:30Speaker 6: take him around your daughter, your family, or your friends.
- 1:00:34Speaker 6: But the age difference will be a problem in the
- 1:00:36Speaker 6: long run. Nah, it's a problem. Now, why are you
- 1:00:40Speaker 6: talking about this problem?
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: In the long run? You can't take him nowhere. He
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: don't know nothing.
- 1:00:44Speaker 6: You done taught him everything. It's a problem now. I
- 1:00:47Speaker 6: know my family and friends gonna judge me because he's
- 1:00:49Speaker 6: two years younger than my daughter.
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: It's a problem now. Not in the long run.
- 1:00:55Speaker 6: This problem ain't gonna get better. You gonna get older,
- 1:00:59Speaker 6: and the gap it's gonna be more obvious. He wants
- 1:01:03Speaker 6: me to meet his mother and grandmother. Let me tell
- 1:01:05Speaker 6: you something. They gonna eat your ass alive. You go
- 1:01:09Speaker 6: in there with this boy's mama and grandmama. He don't
- 1:01:13Speaker 6: even he's so stupid. You didn't teach you what was
- 1:01:16Speaker 6: gonna happen when he walked your old ass in there
- 1:01:19Speaker 6: with his mama and grandmama.
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: Did you who's gonna be worse though? See the mom
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: or the grandmother?
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: The grandmama gonna come. Oh, so you one of my friends.
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: I saw you down at the hall.
- 1:01:40Speaker 6: Didn't you look like the girl to work at the
- 1:01:44Speaker 6: tavern I go to see. It's gonna get bath. They're
- 1:01:47Speaker 6: gonna eat you.
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: They gonna eat you a lot. You you walk your
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: old ass in there with this daughter that's two years
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: older than this boy. They already know what you.
- 1:01:58Speaker 6: Did they already and know you that you done whipped it,
- 1:02:01Speaker 6: because see this boy, he's whipped and they know you
- 1:02:05Speaker 6: to put it on him like he never had it before.
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: And now you he want to marry you. Has he
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: lost his rabbit ass mine?
- 1:02:15Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 1:02:16Speaker 6: Boy, you you'd have whipped him this bad that he
- 1:02:20Speaker 6: wants to marry you, and you gonna go in there
- 1:02:24Speaker 6: and face his mother and grond I hope you do well.
- 1:02:27Speaker 6: She said, you finish find it. I don't give a damn.
- 1:02:30Speaker 6: You know this ain't gonna go overwhelmed with them. Okay,
- 1:02:33Speaker 6: So you once again see when you said in this letter,
- 1:02:37Speaker 6: this is gonna be a problem in the long run.
- 1:02:39Speaker 6: I keep telling you it's a problem now. You hiding
- 1:02:42Speaker 6: him from your friends. You got him here from your daughter.
- 1:02:46Speaker 6: He's two years younger than your daughter. You got a granddaughter.
- 1:02:49Speaker 6: You take him everywhere, and you done taught him everything
- 1:02:51Speaker 6: because it's as stupid.
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: He ain't know nothing.
- 1:02:54Speaker 6: You men have always met married younger women, but it's
- 1:02:57Speaker 6: not as accepted when women do it. I would hope
- 1:02:59Speaker 6: that I'm everything this man needs and he won't want
- 1:03:03Speaker 6: a young woman someday what his mom?
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: Who the hell don't want a young woman.
- 1:03:08Speaker 8: So what.
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: What you all this stuff you have taught him to master?
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: You don't think he won't want to show this to nobody?
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: There you go, all right, thank you, Steve, will thank
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: you Steve. We'll leave it right there. Post your comments
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: on today's Strawberry letter at Steve Harvey.
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: F n crazy. She know this ain't gonna work.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: She knows on Instagram and Facebook and coming up.
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: But I do want you to go meet his mom
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: and grandmama.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: Please turned out. Ye you're listening hard Morning show. All right,
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: does marriage make you a better person? That is the
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: question on the table right now.
- 1:03:47Speaker 14: No, hey, hey, get test.
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: Ain't nothing newly on this show. A new study from
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: Tilburg University in the Netherlands suggests that marriage can make
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: you a better person. Specifically, getting hitched makes you more
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: forgiving and more likely to exercise self control. All right,
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: that's what it says.
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: Who I study.
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: This is a new study. They studied married married people,
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: people that.
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: Are in come by my house and study.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: From the Netherlands. It suggests that marriage can make you
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: a better person. Specifically, getting hitched makes you more forgiving.
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: It makes you more forgiving tom marriages and it makes
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: you more likely to exercise self control. If you married
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: to the wrong nothing, Tommy, No, that what are the
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: one they got over here?
- 1:04:43Speaker 6: Thank you, you married a wrong person. It will not
- 1:04:49Speaker 6: make you a better persion. It makes you better at
- 1:04:52Speaker 6: doing certain things. Like what a lot more crack cheater
- 1:04:59Speaker 6: you ask? You real craft can learn somethings.
- 1:05:09Speaker 5: What you learn like not how to go home?
- 1:05:14Speaker 6: You learned about spots. You'll know about a lot of restaurants.
- 1:05:21Speaker 6: You have a lot of little cobby holes when seeing restaurants.
- 1:05:25Speaker 6: You know how to walk in places and spot cameras.
- 1:05:33Speaker 6: You learned a lot the back way. Yeah, you know
- 1:05:36Speaker 6: you use your phone different. When I was out there,
- 1:05:39Speaker 6: wasn't no phone cameras, wasn't no GPS, wasn't none of that.
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: When you're out there, Yeah, and I was out there
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: see all this. Now, I already know I'm good because
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: where I'm gonna go.
- 1:05:52Speaker 6: Eye how to keep my head home, not figure GPS
- 1:05:58Speaker 6: off your phone.
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: You got to turn that on as soon as your leader. Hey, dog,
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: if you're famous, you can't do nothing. You just can't
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: do nothing. Just go home.
- 1:06:07Speaker 6: Yes, if you're famous and you're not happy, just get
- 1:06:10Speaker 6: yourself a divorced man because you gonna get seen.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: Yeah, and it will be at your Yeah.
- 1:06:17Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: Did you did you want to say that aloud? Or
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: did you want to keep that to yourself?
- 1:06:25Speaker 5: He said, just go.
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: Miserable meetings? You talk to another miserable heads.
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: Why didn't he get married?
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: I didn't. Y'all ain't tell me everything.
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: All right, we'll be back. You're listening, Morning show. Here's
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: a question. A guy asked his friend to email the
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: morning show to get your opinion. Steve Uh, My wife
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: went out of town this past weekend, and it was
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: a good thing because on Saturday, a young guy, me
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: around twenty years old, rang my doorbell. He asked me
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: my name, asked if I once lived in Memphis, and
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: asked me if I knew a woman whose name I
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: won't mention. When those checked out, he then put out
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: his hand and told me he was my son. I
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: lived in Tennessee two decades ago, and I dated the
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: woman for a little while. So the math checks out,
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: and this was right before my wife and I got married.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: But the kid's mom didn't tell me any of this.
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: I invited the young man in and we talked more
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: about it. He's trying to put his life together. It
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: was a cool conversation and we both agreed to get
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: a DNA test to confirm or deny the possibility that
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: he is my son. And yes, he favors me either way.
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: How do I break this Maury Povich you are or
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: you are not the father situation? To my wife? Do
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: I tell her everything about the visit, the DNA test,
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: or wait for the results and then tell her I
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: have a son?
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: Yeah? I would, I would.
- 1:08:02Speaker 6: I would take the DNA test and then when it
- 1:08:05Speaker 6: comes back positive that that's your son, then you got
- 1:08:09Speaker 6: to tell your wife exactly how it happened. This guy
- 1:08:13Speaker 6: came to my house.
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: Oh hell no, oh, hell, I say, don't tell her
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: about the visit first.
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no, no, it's easy. No.
- 1:08:27Speaker 13: No, you did on the weekend.
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: What happened this weekend?
- 1:08:29Speaker 10: What'd you do?
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: Nothing there? I'll watch it to you myself. Yeah, I
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: promise you.
- 1:08:38Speaker 6: I'm not mentioned. So he came over you. How come
- 1:08:40Speaker 6: you didn't tell me this right there? Baby, listen, I
- 1:08:44Speaker 6: didn't know whether this young man was telling the truth
- 1:08:46Speaker 6: or not. I do remember this woman over twenty years ago.
- 1:08:49Speaker 6: It was before we got married. I do remember this.
- 1:08:53Speaker 6: But if it wasn't no DNA, it ain't no need
- 1:08:55Speaker 6: of him talking to me about this. I find out
- 1:08:58Speaker 6: it's truth.
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: I have a son, So you know, twenty years means
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: nothing to her because this happened right before the wedding.
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: He was born before the wed Yeah, but I'm just saying,
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: you do realize that, well at.
- 1:09:11Speaker 6: Nine months, nine months, you know all as long long
- 1:09:15Speaker 6: is he born before this weddy we got we got something.

- 1:09:24Speaker 1: we were walking down the aisle.
- 1:09:26Speaker 6: I had I had known of this woman before we
- 1:09:31Speaker 6: got married, but after I found out we were serious,
- 1:09:34Speaker 6: I broke it off. I was younger back ton, I
- 1:09:39Speaker 6: was younger back then. You'll be able to get past

- 1:16:22Speaker 7: You all right?
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: That's today's round of would you rather? Coming up forty
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: nine minutes after the hour. It's our last break up
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: the day, and we'll have some closing remarks from the
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: one and em least stee you Harvey. Right after this
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: you're listening Morning show, Steve, We're ready for your closing remarks.
- 1:16:41Speaker 6: I'm so happy, hight everybody my closing remarks today. This
- 1:16:45Speaker 6: is what I've chosen to do. I have variations of
- 1:16:50Speaker 6: this when I'm talking as a speaker and things like that,
- 1:16:54Speaker 6: but I'm I'm gonna.
- 1:16:56Speaker 2: Go a different way with you today.
- 1:16:59Speaker 3: Uh.
- 1:16:59Speaker 2: There's a saying.
- 1:17:02Speaker 6: That if you're the smartest person in your group, then
- 1:17:07Speaker 6: you need a new group. I want you, I want
- 1:17:11Speaker 6: you all to just think about that for a minute.
- 1:17:14Speaker 6: If you're the smartest person in your group, you need
- 1:17:18Speaker 6: a new group.
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: Now.
- 1:17:20Speaker 6: I've been very, very guilty of this, not saying that
- 1:17:25Speaker 6: I was smarter than everybody else, but I had been
- 1:17:29Speaker 6: exposed more than a certain group of people I had
- 1:17:33Speaker 6: employed and had hanging around me. I had been exposed
- 1:17:37Speaker 6: to more things. I naturally was making more because they
- 1:17:40Speaker 6: were mostly employees. I wanted more, uh and because of
- 1:17:50Speaker 6: the fact that I had more and more was required
- 1:17:52Speaker 6: of me, I just had bigger dreams. I outdreamed everybody
- 1:17:59Speaker 6: in my group, and it just gotten to a point.
- 1:18:03Speaker 6: And I'm saying this because I want you all to
- 1:18:05Speaker 6: put everything into perspective. As I'm talking to you, just
- 1:18:08Speaker 6: imagine at your place in your life that if you're
- 1:18:13Speaker 6: the one that's constantly coming up with the ideas, you're
- 1:18:16Speaker 6: the one constantly coming up with the solution. You're the
- 1:18:19Speaker 6: one everybody turns to for guidance. You're the person always
- 1:18:23Speaker 6: picking up the tab. You're the person that's the.
- 1:18:27Speaker 2: Only one who's dreaming really big.
- 1:18:30Speaker 6: You're the one that's pulling the wagon, and you happen
- 1:18:34Speaker 6: to be carrying everybody.
- 1:18:35Speaker 2: That's on it.
- 1:18:38Speaker 6: Ain't none of your associates getting off the wagon to
- 1:18:41Speaker 6: help you pull it, push it, guide it, or nothing.
- 1:18:44Speaker 6: They just own the wagon and you're doing all the pulling.
- 1:18:49Speaker 6: You need a new group. You need a new group.
- 1:18:55Speaker 2: Now.
- 1:18:55Speaker 6: The problem with acquiring this new group is going to
- 1:18:58Speaker 6: be that the fact is inevitable you have to get
- 1:19:02Speaker 6: rid of the old group.
- 1:19:05Speaker 2: And it's hard.
- 1:19:06Speaker 6: It's hard cutting people loose because for the most part,
- 1:19:11Speaker 6: you're just a nice person because you start beating yourself
- 1:19:15Speaker 6: up with stuff that has nothing to do with you.
- 1:19:18Speaker 2: Well, if I let them go, what they gonna do?
- 1:19:23Speaker 8: Man?
- 1:19:23Speaker 6: How his family gonna eat? How her family gonna survive,
- 1:19:27Speaker 6: How they gonna if I let them go?
- 1:19:31Speaker 2: Man?
- 1:19:32Speaker 6: How they gonna feel about me? What will they say
- 1:19:35Speaker 6: about me? What will the other group members think about me?
- 1:19:43Speaker 6: But you know something, mad, that's not your job. And
- 1:19:46Speaker 6: I'm not trying to sound cold to callous, but it's
- 1:19:49Speaker 6: just not your job. They are responsible for themselves.
- 1:19:54Speaker 2: But through this.
- 1:19:56Speaker 6: Meaningless emotion called guilt, they will make you feel guilt
- 1:20:00Speaker 6: about letting them go and making them stop riding up
- 1:20:04Speaker 6: the heel and your wagon for free. And they use guilt,
- 1:20:09Speaker 6: which is the most meaningless emotion, and they give it
- 1:20:11Speaker 6: to you all the time.
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: Y'all, do yourself a favor. Stop doing that.
- 1:20:16Speaker 6: Stop carrying people who should be walking themselves. Stop pulling
- 1:20:21Speaker 6: people up the heel and your wagon when they need
- 1:20:24Speaker 6: to get their own wagon to pull.
- 1:20:26Speaker 2: Stop, do yourself a favor, get yourself a new group.
- 1:20:34Speaker 6: They will be fine because let me ask you a question.
- 1:20:37Speaker 6: This is something my father used to say to me
- 1:20:39Speaker 6: all the time, what would you do if you didn't
- 1:20:44Speaker 6: know me? And I used to never understand when my
- 1:20:47Speaker 6: father said it that until I got older, but I
- 1:20:50Speaker 6: hear him saying it to me all the time. People
- 1:20:52Speaker 6: come to you and ask you for money because I
- 1:20:54Speaker 6: know you got it because you're doing better than them. Well,
- 1:20:57Speaker 6: you work harder than them, so quite naturally you should
- 1:21:00Speaker 6: be doing better them. Now they come to you and
- 1:21:03Speaker 6: ladies guilt.
- 1:21:03Speaker 7: Man, you.
- 1:21:05Speaker 6: Done came up and all us, over all of us,
- 1:21:08Speaker 6: and left us back. He now, we so proud of you.
- 1:21:12Speaker 2: Let me hold.
- 1:21:14Speaker 6: My father used to say, if you didn't know me,
- 1:21:17Speaker 6: what would you do? So I started incorporating that in
- 1:21:19Speaker 6: my life. If you didn't have my number, who would
- 1:21:22Speaker 6: you call? I cannot be everybody's emergency. If you are
- 1:21:27Speaker 6: everybody's emergency phone call, you need a new group. They
- 1:21:32Speaker 6: gonna bring you down. Man, I'm telling you, they're going
- 1:21:35Speaker 6: to bring you down. And when you go down, guess
- 1:21:38Speaker 6: what they gonna get another emergency number. They not gonna
- 1:21:41Speaker 6: be there for you. All these people that use you
- 1:21:44Speaker 6: as they emergency, do you have the ability to use
- 1:21:47Speaker 6: them as your emergency?
- 1:21:48Speaker 2: I think not. It's time to look at getting a
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: new group. Now.
- 1:21:55Speaker 6: You can sever the ties with these people now, or
- 1:22:00Speaker 6: you can wait until a major event occurs. That's gonna
- 1:22:04Speaker 6: cause you have to break it off, and it's gonna
- 1:22:06Speaker 6: be a lot more painful and a lot more costly,
- 1:22:10Speaker 6: you know. But Bishop Jake said one time, sometimes you
- 1:22:14Speaker 6: have to let people go so they can be freed
- 1:22:17Speaker 6: up to go be who they're supposed to be, because
- 1:22:20Speaker 6: some people just hanging on casts. It's comfortable because you've
- 1:22:24Speaker 6: made it comfortable for people. And I'm talking to everybody
- 1:22:27Speaker 6: out there. This ain't for me or people who have employees.
- 1:22:32Speaker 6: This is for people who have people in their lives
- 1:22:34Speaker 6: that's constantly pulling on you.
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: Man.
- 1:22:36Speaker 6: For twenty dollars here, forty dollars here, one hundred over here?
- 1:22:40Speaker 6: My light bell went off. They cut this off. They
- 1:22:44Speaker 6: calling me, I'm behind on my TAXI my income tax check.
- 1:22:48Speaker 2: Ain't hear you?
- 1:22:49Speaker 5: Man? Oh man?
- 1:22:50Speaker 2: Oh man?
- 1:22:50Speaker 6: How many times do you get that? Stop being everybody's
- 1:22:54Speaker 6: emergency phone call? Because if they didn't know you, what
- 1:22:58Speaker 6: would they do? My father used to say, when they
- 1:23:01Speaker 6: don't know you, what would they do? They need to
- 1:23:03Speaker 6: get home and get to doing it. You can't save
- 1:23:07Speaker 6: everybody because they'll bring you down. If you're the smartest
- 1:23:11Speaker 6: person in your group, you need a new group.
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: Y'all have a great day. Okay, I'm gonna have a
- 1:23:18Speaker 2: good weekend too.
