  I'm thinking today of Psalm 65, 4,

  how blessed is the one whom you choose and bring near to you to dwell in your courts.

  We will be satisfied with the goodness of your house,

  your holy temple. God blesses those he chooses.

  It is a choice of God to bless. He makes us satisfied

  when we are provided for with his good supply, his protection,
• 0:23
  and more. But the world is confused about satisfaction.

  In the world there is the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes,

  and the pride of life. We pursue after things that we think will meet our
• 0:35
  desires. Meeting our desires
• 0:38
  is what we then define as satisfaction. But God says otherwise.

  Here the psalmist writes that we will be satisfied with the goodness of God's house

  and his holy temple. God will satisfy those
• 0:50
  he chooses to provide for, and he chooses to provide for you
• 0:54
  and for me. It doesn't mean you'll have all the money you need or all your health will be perfect
• 0:58
  or all your relationships will be perfect,

  but you can be satisfied even when you're in the worst of times, going through the worst

  of things, whatever the worst thing is you've ever been through.

  You can be satisfied knowing that God will eventually put an end to it

  and take you where there's nothing like that anymore. In the meantime,

  he rides with you through whatever you're going through,

  and we are satisfied with the goodness of his house.
